In short

Two Parents and a Podcast discusses spring/summer life with young kids, IRL planning (wedding, travel, home projects), pop culture (Summer House: In the City and Off Campus), and listener Q&A on postpartum topics—especially night nurses, formula guilt, and potty-training prep. They also cover etiquette for befriending a friend’s friend (framed as “what’s the etiquette?” but not fully detailed in the excerpt).

Guests

No guest appears in the transcript; it’s hosted by the podcast’s core hosts (Alex, Harrison, Jules referenced as co-hosts/participants).

Guest backgrounds

Not applicable (no external guests).

Key claims

Night nurses are chosen to prioritize sleep and support breastfeeding/pumping with safety (someone watching baby while sleeping reduces anxiety). Formula feeding should remove guilt when milk supply hasn’t come in. Baby dolls support imaginative play and developmental milestones. Kyle and Amanda’s handling on Summer House/In the City is debated as mature vs self-destructive; PR/staging is questioned.

Notable examples

Plan B described as delaying ovulation; baby doll “BB doll” routines; organizing clothes by age bins; “fed is fed” formula stigma comparison; Survivor finale predictions (Jonathan/Audrey/Tiff/Rizzo).

0:00Girl, winter is so last season. And now spring's got you looking at pictures of tank tops with hungry eyes. Your algorithm is feeding you cut-offs. You're thirsty for the sun on your shoulders. That perfect hang-on-the-patio sundress. Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear open that envelope? It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. Plan B is a backup birth control option that's there for you when things don't go according to plan.

0:35It specifically works after unprotected sex and before pregnancy occurs by temporarily delaying ovulation. Plan B is available nationwide at all major retailers and through delivery apps like DoorDash. No ID, prescription or age requirement. It's the number one OBGYN recommended brand of emergency contraception. And it won't impact your future fertility. That's freedom to be. Use as directed. We have a unique dynamic today. You know what that dynamic is? What? I got home last night late. I got home at like 11 p.m. Oh. And now it's the morning. Yeah. So Alex and I haven't even really had the chance to catch up.

1:15Oh, we haven't. So Harrison's been out of town, which he posted on his Instagram, but he posted the day he was coming back. So smart of you. And so I had the little kiddos. So he's gone for one night. two nights technically so technically you you slept in another bed one night but it was two nights of putting the kids down so i call it two nights in my head and you did an unbelievable job i had fun i have a funny like kind of other alternative dynamic so i posted where i was like a day late right the pro the problem in doing that was the reason why i posted i was at Sweets and Snacks was to see who else was at Sweets and Snacks.

1:59Right. So there was a specific one guy who I really would have loved to have caught up to, but our paths didn't cross because I posted late. Sweets and Snacks is a food convention, like a work convention for you. Yeah. It's similar to Expo West where a bunch of food brands set up booths and display their products for retailers to walk around and try and potentially buy. It's beautiful. And it was in Vegas. Yeah. And Viva Las Vegas with trade shows. My favorite thing, number one, is that they're direct flight away. Yeah. And then number two, that they're in a fun city. Well, this was such a fun city.

2:39I wanted to go so bad. We and I spoke about it with the neighbors this morning when I was dropping Bubba off. It gave me the itch for a couple's trip to Vegas. And I think we need to go. and I think we need to get married when we're there love it let's get married again let's just get married so many times throughout the year I really want to okay can we do that yeah please as Bubber says please please yeah he doesn't know how to do one it's like six or none and he if you're listening he's doing the sign language version of it on his chest yeah it's so cute okay let's start this bad boy alright Right.

3:23Okay. Your camera's there. Okay. That's my camera. It has a teleprompter on it now and it threw me off for ads. Okay. Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents and a Podcast. Number one, if you're listening, please, please, please, as Bubber says, subscribe to the pod, like this video, send it to a friend. And what are we talking about today? Well, why don't you start off by asking me what I watched on the flight back? What did you watch on the flight back? I watched the Summer House season finale and the first episode of In the City. Is this interesting for me to talk about? Or no? Because if not, we can bury it to later in the episode.

4:09But I need the honest feedback. Do we want to start with this? We want to go through what we're talking about in today's episode and then you can do that. Okay. All right. Perfect. Perfect. What? Did you like lose your... It's coming in. Vibes are high. No, did you lose your... What is the word? Like... You must have preemptively had that on your mind because you said it at such an odd time in the sentence. Oh. Like I was about to read what we were going to talk about today. I thought that was like a good little transition thingy. No, I'm not a good podcaster. That's okay. No. The people say you're good.

4:45You're very good. I got some DMs saying it'll be fun to have you come back, but Harrison's doing a really good job. That's very nice. Thank you very much. So everyone was really sweet. Okay. We're going to do some IRL stuff. We're going to talk about being at home, starting to work out. You know, what's going on with the 202 freezer supply? Some of the things that you guys messaged yesterday and asked a night nurse, a lot of night nurse questions. So we're going to talk about that a bit. Then we've got the pop culture section where Harrison absolutely should talk about the Kyle and Amanda summer house in the city, et cetera, et cetera.

5:19And then we've got tweet of the week, things we DM, things we learned. So we've got a good episode. Half kid, half real life. Okay, where are we going, host? All right, so let's just start off with, well, now you've got me wondering, what did you do on the plane? so i watched the finale i watched the new episode bravo to bravo for how they teed this up like they they nailed it so the season of summerhouse ends and the final scene is then kyle and amanda talking about them taking a bit of a break and the it the in the city transition straight through that it's just it's so well done it's so well done but isn't kyle not on in the city he is carl is not on in the city west is not on in the city that's right west is not on in the city correct and so they they give you right into they do it so well so they they continue the storyline then they jump to april to get you up to speed on irl and then they go back to September.

6:34So Bravo's nailed this. If you like this type of TV, it's as good as it gets right now. And am I just going to ramble here? No, I'm just going to, I want to watch it. Because what do I got here, Jules? No, I just, my brain keeps going back to it. Like none of you guys think that this is all a PR stunt. It is not a PR stunt. And that's what I can say. Like they can't be that good of actors and actresses. The raw motion that all parties involved are showing. At that scene in the dinner, like at their anniversary dinner. Okay. That was totally staged. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. That one was. But I'm more so talking about the, when she goes to the apartment.

7:25Okay. I didn't watch. Okay. it's and they're talking about the timeline and the way that she's defending herself on the emotional affair but what i gotta say about this kyle okay yeah so this kyle to my understanding has historically like made a lot of irresponsible decisions okay the way in which he is handling this in such a mature way it's it's really really quite uh he's 43 so i would like to see him handling it accordingly he was really slighted and he really took the high road and it showed like how much he does care about her so and even he has a really good line that he says and he's like i just want to make it clear like i'm going to defend you because i care about you as a person not because i think that there's a chance we're going to get back together and so even with just like how he sets his intention so clear i was impressed by by how he's handled it especially in the context of of how i'd seen him talked about beforehand so let me say these things because i've i've only i haven't watched the show i've just watched the social media clips yeah i agree with you i think he's handling it very well um and i feel sorry for him because from what i watched on the was it the watch what happened live where andy's interviewing them the reunion is that that's not out yet though we've just seen that's next week the trailer is unbelievable and lindsey looks like the mvp of the trailer when she sits there and calls out west being like go be a fucking man go get your girl it was like yes you are it i know but i just think west is gonna look so but he's gonna look terrible but back to kyle really quickly when when amanda gets up and walks off and everyone's like go west i can see it on kyle's face like i'm supposed to go it's always been me that goes after amanda and like it was this very much of a passing of the torch moment to west and you could just see him he just kind of falls pale and he's like this is so effing weird like i really feel for him like this all happened like yeah he's confused the other side to it it It was his friend.

9:57And I'm such a new watcher to the ecosystem. But it was, and so who knows if this is just the way they edited it, but it was so clear that they should not be together. Like they. Kyle and Amanda. Kyle and Amanda. It was the perfect example of two people speaking completely different languages and consistently talking past one another. And so it was the right thing for her to do. And the other really weird dynamic that played out to me was Amanda through that recording, like through the end of Summer House and then the September component of In the City. She was awesome. She was so confident. She was so well-spoken.

10:41She knew what she wanted and she was going out there to take it. And like she was clearly just on such a kick-ass trajectory. and just what a brutal misstep because her life would look so differently right now if she did not make this play with West. I know. I don't understand it. She would be hosting one of those big time shows. She would be, I'm getting a face from Jules. No, I don't know her like that. I only know her from this situation. But she was coming out of her, like how confident. She had a lot of momentum. And like her momentum, she was so well-spoken. You could tell like she wanted to go out there and get after it.

11:25And she just got after it in the most self-destructing way possible. I don't know what she thought. What I would like to ask her is what did you think was going to happen? What did you think was going to be everyone's reaction when this news broke? Did you think it wasn't going to break? Did you think you could hide it? Did you – like what did you think? I wonder if she thought that the pendulum was so negative on Kyle and had swung so positive on Wes that they would have cheered them into. People would be excited it's happening. Yeah. No. And the way they caught Sierra. She's so cool.

12:07They were so clear on what an unbelievable friend she was. They left no doubt about that. And on the topic of someone being so well-spoken, she came off looking so good. And she made out. They made out in the last episode? Yeah. And then - And she showed self-restraint and she left. She kept it at a makeout. She came out of this looking very good. Good. They gave her a good edit. Well, that's why I say you don't know what's at it and what's - But what was showed, she was 10 out of 10. And the reunion, she looks like she did awesome too. Totally, totally agree. Slightly. okay and i hope harrison didn't see this on social media okay didn't i probably did not guess who came out with the children's book i don't know do you have any guesses andy cohen no great guess give me like two more guesses you gotta give me a hint i need a hint it's a it's related to this universe not lindsey and it's one of your favorite people jacks taylor no who is not one of my favorite people but an insane character okay i'll say it wait no i need a better hand wait one of your favorite people we've talked about this person several times oh the southern charm guy craig yeah craig came with the children's book yes does craig have a kid no but it's a it's a very nice children's book he's teaching very nice lessons in it what is this guy doing with the children's i don't know it's a very nice book that teaches how to stand up for yourself if you're bullied so i don't know if that's part of his story in his life or someone um related to him But like I was in a state of shock when I found out that he wrote a children's book.

15:04Well, I'm going to order it. He launched it yesterday. It comes out in October. OK, we've got to get it. I tried to order. I like wanted to order it and have it for you guys today to read on the pod. But it's not out till October. Jules, good job, first of all. But second of all. I never would have guessed that. I know. You could have given me 100 guesses. Well, I did guess it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I just writing a kid's book without a kid is like. Well, that's what's getting me. It's just unexpected. it's unexpected yeah I'm not knocking it by any means like do your thing I'm just that's surprising look you should write a book about picking up chicks yeah like a memoir or pillows isn't that his thing that's what I was gonna say if it's a pillows kids book I would get it but hey cool okay we're gonna we're gonna read it yeah I'll get it for you guys come October it'll be Tate's late birthday present thanks Jules she appreciates it ahead of time I can't I can't really well he can add author to his he already has his own book as well what's his book about i don't know i just saw it yesterday two-time author yeah two-time author two-time new york times about selling i wanted to say arthur but are you ever gonna write a book i'd love to one day not anytime soon memoir you don't have enough to write about the story's still being written okay how about that okay um okay so how's it going at home um bubber got a baby doll well the reason bubber got a baby doll a little what's that asmr what is that called asmr asmr well and we're now we're pouring it so i went to pick up bubs from the nanny share and maria was like she's obsessed with this baby doll, she was swaddling it and she was doing all the things to the baby doll that she sees us doing with Rocky.

16:54And I was like, Oh man, that's really cute. So then I did like a quick Google on pros of having a baby doll. And one of them was it's very, it's a big tick in the category of like imaginative play. And I was like, okay, cute. So that night we went to get a baby doll from Target and I made a TikTok and Instagram video about this, but like this child is obsessed with her baby doll and she calls it BB doll, like that BB doll. She talks to it. She swaddles it this morning. She came in. She had a purse in her baby doll swaddled in a blanket and she just, I didn't know it, but some people are DMing me being like, my daughter's also obsessed with baby dolls.

17:35So that's what's going on with Bubber. She's just in baby doll land And it's this really cute, like I haven't ever seen her be responsible for something. So it's really cute.

17:54I love you. Harris has been on his phone. Well, a couple things. The group chat is firing right now. What group chat? The neighbor group chat. Okay. But I want to talk about this baby doll. Okay. Because it is adorable. I love. Baby doll. I love that you went and did this when I was gone. And it, yeah, it seems like it's going really well. Terrible response by me. Okay. Okay. Okay. Also, we do the split screen clips now. So like. Is this going to be on your phone? Yeah. No, Jules, please clip that. Clip it just how it was. Harrison is over there texting away. I'm putting together a play for this piece of property came for sale and it has a bunch of different houses on it.

18:48A play for a commune? Yes. And so I want it to be the weekend house where like we have a home, the neighbors have a home, and then there's two guest homes. And I didn't get the initial buy-in that I wanted from Alex. What? Yeah, you did. No, you didn't. Oh, and the group texted her, this is really cool. I know, but then when I was like, what do you think? You're like, nah. And then so, but Neighbor M, she got very excited about it. So I was like, all right, we're going to need to leave the charge on this if we're going to make it happen. The majority rules. I think Neighbor M and I can hopefully convince you and Neighbor T.

19:23I don't need much convincing. I'm down if you guys are. I just, all these places need to be renovated. I don't want to leave that. But to bring it back, I think the way Bubba's treating the doll is adorable. This morning she went and she took her Leapy sack out of the bed and put the Leapy sack on the BB doll. And yeah, it's just it's unbelievable how she consistently sees what's going on around her and and wants to be involved. But that's babies like that's kids in general. And it's so cute to see this developmental milestone of like she wants to give the baby a passy. She wants to give it a bottle.

20:04She wants to swaddle it. She wants to carry it around. And that's really sweet to watch. Another funny thing she did this morning is she couldn't get the BB and the Pasi in the baby's mouth. And so she like tested it on herself to see if it worked. But the Pasi doesn't have a Pasi. So she like sucked it. It was adorable. What I said probably just doesn't make sense. It makes sense to me because I've seen the Pasi and I've seen her do it. But she managed to keep it in and she's like. So what I'm doing next is she did get her, she got a stroller. There was this kit. Guess how much that kit was at Target?

20:40Talk to me. Guess. The whole kit? Mm-hmm. Including the baby? The baby? No, not including the baby. $39.99. $30. I thought that was good for - Good price. It's a stroller, a high chair, and a crib. Good price. For the baby doll. Yeah. So she started to put her baby to bed. So today I think I'm going to give her the stroller and we're going to take it to the next level. Take the baby doll to the next level. Okay. Last night we worked on diapers. So anyways, Bubz is all in on the baby doll. And Rocky is approaching his fifth week of life. Every morning we just sit there and snuggle. He's such a little snuggler.

21:20Newborn cuddles are, there's nothing like him. Do you think he's more of a snuggler or less of a snuggler than Bubber? I want to say more, but I just think that's because I'm not remembering her snuggling. I did so much snuggling with Bubber. Oh, that's true. You did. Yeah, you did do a lot of snuggles with Bubz. Do you know what I want to do too for IRL? Yeah. I'm just going to go through my questions. I had people submit responses on my story. Oh, love it. And I'm just going to like blindly pick one. Okay. Let's see what I land on. Okay. Okay, how do you slash how to organize the kids' clothes for potential future babies?

22:05Well, we have a storage bin downstairs that are labeled. And they're labeled 0 to 6, 6 to 12, so on and so forth. And we put her clothes. Because here's the thing. I don't know. Like, I didn't know if Rocky was going to be a girl or a boy. So I wanted to keep all of Bubz's clothes. And then obviously, God willing, we're not done having kids yet. So I'm keeping a lot of everyone's stuff. Now. And the other thing we do for, I'm not sure if this is directly to it, but we use this sticker printer to label, like with Rocky, what we did is his drawers say like newborn, zero to three months, six to nine months.

22:44And so that way it's clear where everything goes. And okay, let's say we don't have any more girls. Say we have all boys and we have Bubz's stuff. What I'll do is I'll go through and I'll pick out from like each age, probably two to three outfits that she wore a lot that were our favorites, etc. I'll keep those and then I'll donate the rest. And one idea I had, which hopefully we do, is to take some of those favorite outfits and turn them into a blanket. So I'm down for the blanket thing. But also one thing that I've loved that our parents have done is given us our clothes. Yeah. And so it's really cute to have just a couple of a couple special pieces.

23:17So we'll keep those. Okay, that's how we organize clothes. Wedding slash honeymoon plans. So it's funny. It does feel like the wedding. I'm so curious what you're going to say right now. I just feel like we were talking about it a lot. And we haven't talked about it in like two weeks. Can I have your water over there? Of course. What do you have to say about it? I want to hear you. That's what I have to say. Honeymoon, I'm pushing for a safari. I want a safari so bad. so bad so bad you guys know i'm such a big proponent of therapy one thing i'm not a fan of though is how impossible it is to find a therapist online who takes your insurance many online therapy platforms don't work with insurances at all which means you're stuck paying the full cost out of pocket or paying for an expensive monthly subscription and that's where rula comes in.

24:16They partner with over 100 insurance plans, making the average copay just$15 per session. That's real therapy from licensed professionals at a price that actually makes sense. Think about it. You use your insurance benefits to maintain your physical health, so why wouldn't you do the same for your mental health? And Rula isn't just affordable. The experience is tailored around you. Other online therapy platforms might match you with the first available provider, whether or not they're the right fit. Rula considers your goals, preferences, and background to provide you a curated list of licensed in-network therapists who are actually aligned with what you need because they know finding the right therapist can make all the difference.

24:57No wait lists, no frustrating back and forths. Rula makes it easy to find a mental health provider who is accepting new patients and appointments available as soon as tomorrow. Plus, Rula sticks with you throughout your journey. checking in to make sure your care is helping you move forward go to rula.com slash two parents to get started today that's r-u-l-a.com slash two parents for quality therapy that's covered by insurance so for the wedding we definitely like we just need to start we have a rehearsal dinner ideal spot we have um like ceremony location we have some of the pieces but we just need to start calling getting quotes get a planner like we need to put the the wheels into motion yeah but you know we've been in two under two land but we've got some like we've got it brewing we're just the thing about harrison and i is we will plan this wedding in three months we will plan it execute it do it and that will be what that'll just be the way the cookie crumbles.

26:06We're not like a year and a half out type planners. Don't you think? Yeah, I totally agree. I'm very unstressed by the whole. Sometimes we just wake up and we're like, let's do this. Let's build a pool. And then we just do it. So the wedding, there's something that we want to do. We just need to get. What is your view on timing? I still think it's going to be like December. Really? I think. Okay, interesting. The con of December is if we do it in Austin, I don't think like Austin's at its most beautiful. Austin spring is so pretty.

26:47So it's tough. We got options. The world is our oyster. So that's a point for having it later, like next March. Yeah, I feel like if it's going to be December, like we need to get going now. So we do need to just decide, get something on the books. Because the other thing about planners, too, is they book out their weekends. So we need to know. Yeah, we don't know yet, but we know we're doing it. Yeah, definitely. We're excited. I'm excited about our bachelor-bachelorette parties. Any ideas on where you're going to do that? Tauntaun sent me the Ritz cruise. It goes to Alaska, St. Tropez, all these cool places.

27:33and I was like, I'm not down for that. A cruise. Like a cool cruise. Different points for unique, I guess. Jules hates it, clearly. I have zero ideas. I'm pouring my bachelor party right now. Well, you could do the Ritz cruise with us. Someone suggested something which I thought was interesting, but now I'm forgetting what it was.

28:02well i think mexico city would be cool i just want either a mountain or a beach in mexico city is just a city so that doesn't really check my boxes we have a trip to mexico city we do yeah okay good i can't wait we're going on a date tonight you guys so harrison and i have been going on we've gone on two we've gone out twice on date nights but as we talked about we're doing like hybrid so we go to dinner with somebody and then we go to the concert but i want to go to dinner just harrison and i so tonight we're doing that i'm so excited new steakhouse yep we are okay next one off campus thoughts loving it i can't believe you're watching off campus it's so funny to me i i know i was just like bored last night because harrison was gone and i had a little rocket man we were just hanging out in bed and i was like i'm just gonna try it i'm loving like i'm loving it it's so funny that's like my og entrance into sports romance is the off-campus books okay and like i watched the first episode before last week yeah you said you didn't like it the first it was so bad it turned out to be amazing but like i've not re-watched it which is really shocking for me you typically re-watch shows oh yeah like i the things i like i really like so like i don't know wait wait how many times because you have re-watched this.

29:24How many times do you watch Heated Rivalry? The limit doesn't exist to the amount of times I've re-watched Heated Rivalry. What? Like after, like, is there like weeks in between? Or is it like in a row, in a row, in a row? You've watched it more than five times. 100 % more than five times. But is it, you watched the whole thing through and then like, would this be like me watching The Devil Wears Prada like over and over and over again? Yeah, it's like an illness. But back to back to back? Yeah. I haven't watched it recently, but yeah. I wish I could do that. I wouldn't be able to do that. And what level are you paying attention on the rewatches?

30:04Varied. I don't watch TV that much, so I'm not delving into the fact that I've been reading fan fiction of Heated Rivalry so that I can continue to get Heated Rivalry content for the past five months. Jules loves Heated Rivalry. And like that has caused me not off campus was my OG, like OG. What's off campus about? It's a hockey romance. Yeah. College age. That's why I wouldn't have picked it for Alex. I thought I was going to hate it, but I'm in two group texts who typically I like the same things book wise and show wise that both of these like. They both like off campus. So I was like, whatever, I'll try it.

30:44I'm loving it. I'm done. My friends are all like more obsessed with it than me and everyone's confused. And I don't know if we're going to need to cut this, but there's mega NHL drama brewing right now that we'll discuss after if we can talk about. Okay. Okay. Maybe for next week's episode. Okay. But I'm happy that you're watching it. Me too. I love how we just don't care about the real hockey and we just brush that right off and okay, it's fine. And we talk about the fiction. But these shows are good for hockey in general. they're good for the sport yeah i guess there's a whole world out there our hockey we got our little niche we have to watch the survivor um someone's gonna spoil it for me so last night was the finale what yes last night the finale missed it we need to watch it tonight so i was at the gym and i was just walking on the treadmill and i kept seeing survivor 50 finale so i googled last night was the finale.

31:43Okay. I need your official prediction on who wins. Who do you want to win and who do you think will win? I want Jonathan to win.

31:55I think... Is it Audrey or Aubrey? Audrey. I think Audrey could sneak it out. Or Tiff. Just give me Sari or Jonathan. Sari's voted off. No. She was voted off that. You were with me. Oh, damn it. I forgot. Okay. Those are my two favorites.

Read the full transcript

32:21If Rizzo wins, I'll be shocked. No, fine. I got to go Rizzo. Because Rizzo is so like... Flying under the radar, but very smart. I think he's playing... Everyone's playing... So how many people are left? Audrey, Tiff, Rizzo, Jonathan, Joe Yep, five Yeah, five, that's right Correct, final five Okay Oh, I really wanted Sari to win That's so disappointing I know Yeah, I didn't process that she was out Yeah, it was two Yes, I'm Jonathan I'm Jonathan, one, Rizzo, two I'm Jonathan, one I don't want Audrey to win But I think she will She seems very She's played a good game She's played a great game She's played a good game.

33:08She's played a good game. Her play on the Mountain Man, what's his name? Who? When the guy went and told her his plan, and then she used that to get him out. Oh, Ozzy. Ozzy. Yeah, that was smart. That was the play of the game, which is why I think she could win. I think the big concern is I don't know. Ozzy's a restaurant manager in LA. he's not a mountain man just for context okay ready i'm gonna scroll and get another one okay let's see um oh how'd you know harrison was the one how did i know he was the one because the people usually ask when did you know and that's a lot easier to answer

34:02how did I know well I was looking at little things so these aren't these the things I'm about to say are not any way shape or form how you pick somebody you want to spend the rest of your life with but they were little things that stuck out to me number one I loved the way he planned our first date. He was always anticipating our next move. And I also loved the conversations we were having. He felt very confident, but engaged in what I was thinking, saying, doing, and he was asking a lot of questions. One story in particular that I remember about three or four weeks after we had been dating was we were sitting at our favorite bar in Tribeca.

34:45And I was like, how was your day? And he was like, good. How was yours? And I was like, good. And then we kept talking, talking, talking. And then it came out that flock had like a really good day. I don't remember what it was, but you guys had done something really big. It was like a big order or something. And I said, Oh my gosh, I can't believe you didn't tell me that whenever I asked you earlier how your day was. And you said, well, I treat the good days and the bad days both the same. And I thought that it was, that was something that really stuck with me. And, um, I thought this is cause you don't want somebody that gets too high or too low you want or I want for me that's pretty even keeled and so I realized that about you then and I loved your answer to that and I also loved the way that you approached life like he always said he wanted every day to be fun and fun isn't like you know going to dinner or something like that but it's you know working out is fun working hard is fun and so the joys that he found in life was something that I thought I would love to be with this person forever and then he had these five buckets that he always talked about you have i ever talked about them on the podcast i feel like i've like made touch on it but we can what are they i forget for another time well he has these five buckets of how he approaches life and one of them is like relationship family work fitness or health physical mental health physical mental health and then spirituality faith is that the five and he all he always is assessing how full his buckets are and if one's not as full then he would you know, he puts his attention towards that.

36:17And so I just thought like, this is a, there's more than just a handsome boy here. There's somebody who's thoughtful. There's an entrepreneur who left finance and he wanted to go do his own thing. So I just, I loved every single thing about him, but the way I knew he was the one was I was constantly gathering data about how this guy approached life. And, and they all were very appealing to me. This is hilarious because I I think that your answer right there is how I typically answer questions. And my answer is how you typically answer questions. So what I was going to say and how I knew you were the one, it was just a feeling.

36:52And that feeling was best described as from the moment we met, I never wanted to be apart from you. I always wanted to be with you. Like the next day it would be like, okay. It was always planning when we were going to see each other next and how we could do everything together and i feel like i live life through a collection of data like gathering data updating my model changing my views oh he's rubbed off on me so like that hearing you say that is is very funny and but the same way that my answer is i think very reflective of you so look at that well look at that jules well you've taught you've taught me a ton but that's a whole episode in and of itself you've taught me a ton okay ready last one we'll do on this i kind of like that this is where the episode's going a nice fun light-hearted episode i was gonna say we should go tiktok live sometime i would love to podcast i meant to tell you that last night jules let's do a tiktok live one time i'm so down it would be fun let's keep ripping these let's talk about wayfair your outdoor space should feel like you if you've been following along you know we're in the middle of full backyard renovations right now it's going to take several months before it's done blah but in the meantime we've been using wayfair for the smaller stuff to make the space that we do have functional.

Do you know any updates on the blake lively justin baldoni case what are your thoughts so i don't have any updates on this but i will say i've seen her today specifically she's on some pr tour because enews posted her she went out in fendi she and ever all these accounts are posting her being like blake lively steps out and dazzles the spectators and it's like it just shows how one bad move can derail your career so fast and all the comments are just like guys stop like we get her PR person contacted you but like stop shoving her down her throat and just yeah I wish Blake the best and Justin the best but I did think that that whole the way that that whole case was handled was very distasteful yeah and and it set it set her back years and years and years just unnecessary so simple yeah agreed okay let's see here another one um okay well we were going to talk about anyways would love to hear more about the night nurse and why you chose that besides the obvious with a heart.

40:00So why did we choose a night nurse? Um, I just, I gotta say, so I didn't know night nurses existed probably. And I didn't know doulas existed either. Night nurses came into, did your sister have one? Yep. Maybe that's how we learned about them. Some of my friends have had them. A good amount of my friends have had them. I don't know. Why'd we choose it? we wanted to prioritize sleep. I wanted to prioritize breastfeeding and pumping, but I also wanted to do it in a way where I could get good sleep. So I didn't, I wasn't up all through the night, but I also was still able to pump or breastfeed accordingly.

40:42I also really wanted the night nurse with tape for safety reasons, because I know it's crazy to say, but like having somebody in the room staring at them while they sleep makes me feel a lot better because I just, your mind can go to these like crazy, the worst things. So anyways, it gave me a lot of peace of mind, but I would say, yeah, we wanted it for sleep. It's a, it's a luxury to have, and that's not lost on us. Like, obviously you have to pay for night nurses. And I understand that's not a priority to some people and some people want to do it all themselves. And that's beautiful and fabulous and great.

41:18But for us, I think it's just something that fits into our routine really well having help at night um Harrison it's they we always joke the night nurse is for the dad because the mom is still up but dad is sleeping through the night and I gotta say like I'm obsessed with it I'm obsessed with knowing somebody's awake somebody's over there it makes this newborn bubble for me more cozy yeah and and echo everything you said obviously a massive a massive luxury and and splurge and I think that when you look at one of the hardest parts of having a newborn the the sleep sacrifice is one of them and so being able to have a resource that that helps make that easier is has tremendous benefits also it's somebody to talk to about like okay what do you do you think his stomach hurts um do you think something i ate and his milk is hurting like it's it's a nice sounding more in that regard but it also has set us up on the right foot out of the gates with two kids because when both parents aren't sleeping or one parent's not sleeping you're just recovery is harder everything is a little bit harder so It's just tough.

42:39A lot of people, but like that's what most people do. And so that, that isn't, that isn't lost on us. No, I fully, absolutely. And hats off to them for doing it. And somebody asked me too about being a stay at home mom on Tuesday, I think when I did a Q and a, and I was really thinking about that in the shower yesterday. Like for me, I love working and my answer is no in the near future. I don't, I don't want to be a stay at home mom, but the days that I have both of those kids all day I really get my shit rocked and like I have I have to say being a stay-at-home mom is such a hard job and like it's such an incredible thing that these women do yeah it's a hard job yeah so I just especially like I my perspective has changed from being a stay-at-home mom like if you are of one kid now understanding what it's like to have two kids or if you have three or if you have four and I'm like we should we should hire those women to run fortune 500 companies because they I'm telling you can get so much done and we so we were talking to that guy do you remember on Sunday and he was saying um like his wife stayed home or no his wife was gone one Saturday so he had the kids and he wrote it down it was like they asked me 26 times that they could cross the street uh he had all these things like it was 12 diaper changes 10 spit ups and he had all these numbers and he was like in a zero percent chance i can do that again by myself and i was like that was what the dad was saying to the mom and i thought that was cute that he what was that from i think wasn't that a tiktok clip no it wasn't a tiktok clip i can't remember somebody was telling us there was another there was another tiktok clip that i sent last night that i'm not sure you saw what was it and that was like um something like questions my husband texted me when I left him at home with our two kids for the night and and then it was just it was like nothing he's an active dad and knows what the fuck to do I love that yeah that's you one thing that I love and I'm really thankful for is like you don't have to ask me anything when I'm gone um and vice versa okay i'll do another one ready yeah i kind of like these it's like a little pinwheel um okay do you want more boys or girls for the next two kids i am so obsessed with both of them i do not care at all but i will say this though because that's such a cheesy answer when we had bubs and so we had a girl i was so obsessed with having a girl I didn't know what having a boy was going to be like now that I have him I tell you I am so obsessed with that little boy so now I can sit here and say with confidence I'm good with either gender but at the beginning like I just loved I loved having Tate so I just wanted all girls but now my official prediction girl boy boy girl really yeah my predictions are out the window now that we have one of each or girl boy boy boy oh wow no I don't know I don't know I tell you what I don't know the madness of our household if we had three boys oh my yeah cause Tate is organized it's it's bizarre to say that a 19 month old is organized she is organized she goes back in her room she puts her items back she puts everything up and like I don't know if she was born that way or if we created that I don't think you guys created that I don't think so either or but Jules here's where I think we could have created it she saw us not doing it and so she was like okay I'm gonna put my stuff up it's so bizarre well one thing I read the other day was like you're born with your temperament so like your temperament is in you when you're born but how you water it so your personality is determined by the happenings around you.

46:44Which that to me makes sense. But your temperament is something that you can't change. It can't be influenced by what's happening around you. Makes sense. So she has her temperament. Which is apparently very organized. She eats, like last night she had waffle. She asked for, for dinner, a protein waffle. Grapes, queso, and sausage for dinner. She ate it in a, like she ate all the grapes and she ate all the queso then she ate all the waffle then she ate all the sausage. It's crazy. She does so many funny things. She spilled the water I gave her a paper towel she went over and she cleaned it up.

47:23Yeah today she put the tissues on the ground and I was like bubber. Give me those tissues she went and picked them all up. Like that is like she's so clean. She's going to make her bed every morning. She will be a bed maker. She's going to make her bed every morning. She's going to have a clean car. She did, though, the other day for the first time, but it was so cute. I didn't even care. She did get the crown and she colored all over the table in the playroom. Then she tried to cover all color all over the trample. And I was like, no, Tate. Then she went over to the couch and she was trying to color on that in the playroom.

47:57Finally, I took the crown away from her. What are you saying? Crown? Cray-own. What is it? How do you say cray-own? Cray-own? Come on. Cray-on? Cray-own? Cray-own. Cray-own. Are you short circuiting right now? Crayon. Crayon. Crayon. Crayon. Crayon. Crayon. I guarantee if you call any of my friends, they would say crown. What? I actually need you to call a friend. Okay, I'll call a friend. I've got one that might answer, but probably not. Nugget, she's my only shot of answering. I just probably won't answer.

48:37Make sure to ask it without saying the word.

48:44I think she's going to answer with such good energy. She's got great energy. Hey, that's what she would say. What is up?

48:56Darn. I don't even know how to say the word anymore, but I think that's not right anywhere. Crayon. Crayon. I've always said it wrong, though. Yeah. But Tate gets her words from me. I just never heard you say that one wrong before, I think. Tate calls herself Tate. Baby doll. I think she's getting some of these draws from me. The Oklahoma. Yeah, she goes, Tate. The other day we saw Maria's car and she's like, Mimi. And then she says, Tate. Like she knows Tate rides in the car. It's so cute. Tate. Tate. Tate. Okay, we're doing a lot of Tate talk here. Sorry. trim that down um okay ready set another one oh hmm mom guilt around feeding formula i have igt i don't know what that is so four week postpartum my supply still hasn't come i think you should have no guilt around feeding your baby formula like we formula companies have done such a good job specifically you know shout out bobby that's the one we we love but they've done such a good job at creating formulas that are so good for these babies.

50:12And there's, especially if your milk hasn't come in, don't put any added pressure on yourself. Like there's nothing you can do about that. The thing you're doing for your baby, that's so great. You're feeding your baby. And like, I'm, I'm sad for you because I, it sounds like you want your milk to come in, but there's nothing you can do about it. So just enjoy this time with your baby and feeding your baby formula is a fabulous fabulous fabulous option fabulous you say that is best oh um happy mom happy baby yep but there's another one when you walk into a room with 10 people oh when you walk into a room with 10 people nobody knows if you're formula fed or if you're breastfed if we lined up tom brady gronk beyonce taylor swift we don't know when they walked we don't know if they were formula fed or if they were breastfed we don't know if they were bottle fed we don't know if they were fed on the boob we don't know how they were fed we don't know what happened and look at them we said like i don't know i've never even asked if i was formula fed or breastfed do you know can you don't know so it's just like we all and there's that nfl player i don't know who it is but there's some NFL players like I didn't walk till I was two and look at me now and so I don't I don't love the stigma around formula fed breastfed because fed like feed the baby the baby is fed the baby is happy and that's all that matters there's so much pressure on mom and I don't know why I don't know where it came from I don't know who started it but I want to remove it totally totally so to this person that wrote in and said that they're that they have guilt that their milk hasn't come in yet, please have no guilt and just enjoy this sweet time with your baby.

53:35wait i i can't be drawing let me just okay here we go i love all the day i love all the day-to-day life with number two, wanting to try for number two, but so nervous to be overwhelmed. Yeah. Two under two. I don't know how old your first kid is. Is it overwhelming to have two kids? Yeah. It's more overwhelming than it was to have one kid, but it's really fun, really fulfilling and challenging in a good way. So, you know, you have to figure out the milk, the bottle, the sleeping for the newborn baby. And then you also go to toddler land, but I can't explain it to you. Like I wake up with this sense of like happiness and gratitude.

54:13Like we have two kids. It feels very fun and fulfilling and a little more chaotic. But what I would tell you is if you want to try for number two, just try. Like I know you're saying you're nervous. You'll be overwhelmed. Like, yeah, it's overwhelming, but of course it is. Like, of course you've got one little mini human that you're following around and then you make it two. Of course, that's going to be more, but I don't know how to explain it to you. I don't have the words to explain how fun it is and rewarding and joyful and silly and sweet and cute. It's all, it's all of those things. So yeah, I get, I get being nervous.

54:56You'll be overwhelmed and there's overwhelming aspects of it, but I think that those pale in comparison into the joy that it brings. Especially if you love having one, like if you love being a mom and XYZ, like two is amazing. I don't know if that made any sense. I see potty training on here. What I want to know is when did everybody start potty training their kids? Because Tate is 19 months old. She understands going to the bathroom. She understands what the toilet is. she understands like her diaper she can say like if she pee peed or if she poo pooed really yeah so i don't know if we're like ready for that if those are natural signs i don't know either but it sounds like it does sound like it and like i just don't know what day we're gonna dedicate like four days to staying in the house yeah oh you have that i don't know what the process is like i don't know what the process is like either but i do believe you have to stay home you take off the diaper sometimes i think they pee or poop on the floor like i don't know i can't remember if i've ever said this on the podcast but my mom never had to potty train either of us because my neighbor boy potty trained my brother like my brother just saw him using the bathroom and said i want to do that and then never had to do a diaper again amazing and then my brother potty trained me see that because he's five years older than me so he just did it he just sat with me on the toilet apparently but like when do you think we're gonna potty train i think very like very soon i think she's ready but do but do we have to stay home like for four days and like does that's a method i think that i think that we may not need to do that because i think she wants to do it i think that's what i'm getting at too like that's what it sounds like so maybe the longer you wait on potty training the better i think there's pros and cons many different ways to do it is it mean to put me on a tuesday morning because i didn't marry a loser with a photo of their baby oh what so somebody's posted on their story being like saying i get to be a stay-at-home mom me on a tuesday morning holding my baby because i didn't marry a loser because the husband is out there making the money i i don't like that i just i don't think we should be It's very judgmental.

57:13She's asking if I think it's mean. Yeah, I think it's mean. I think because every family chooses their own approach. So I. The same way like I don't think working. I don't think working mom should be judged. I don't think stay at home moms should be judged. I don't think stay at home dad should be judged. Right. You want to find out what works best for your family. Correct. Like so her point is I didn't marry a loser. I get to stay home because he's out working. And if we want to even take it further, what she's saying, she's saying he makes enough money that he can pay for our whole household.

57:49So like his single his his single income pays for all of us. Yeah, that's what she's saying. I think that that is unnecessary to post because there's a lot of people that both parties need to work. I think there's a what I guess I don't like the most about it is you're also calling other people a loser I'm not into that I was gonna say that that was loser behavior yeah no it's not negative it's it's I I like her question yeah I don't think it's uplifting do I think it's mean no I don't think she meant it mean but I don't love it because there's a lot of there's a lot of women that want to work and there's a lot of men that don't want to work like there's a million different ways to skin the cat so yeah the other thing i want to say on it is because i didn't marry a loser okay let's pause and think too if somebody has a nanny and they're working nobody's a loser in this scenario either right like yeah it's it's not it's not mean that she posted it it's just not nice because because Because when it comes to being a parent, whether you choose stay at home, whether you choose to work, whether you choose to have help, whatever you choose, like every we've seen how hard this everyone's doing the best they can.

59:10There's no loser in this scenario. Totally. So, yeah. Yeah. No, it's it's you're right. We're thinking like, dang, that's not super nice because maybe you have to work. It's pretty obvious. That's not nice. Yeah. It's not the night. It's not calling people losers here. Yeah, I agree. We're not calling them losers. Okay, I'm going to move us to Tweet of the Week. So our Tweet of the Week, Harrison's going to explain to us, but it's a Jeff Bezos interview. It's a Jeff Bezos interview where he talks about tax reform, and I absolutely love his suggestion. And what that is is that he speaks to that the bottom 50 % of earners in the U.S., their total tax revenue is 3 % of total tax revenue.

59:57And so his suggestion is the bottom 50 % of earners in our country should not pay taxes. Cool. And so where it really just sounds like a no-brainer is, number one, like you think about, let's say, a teacher earning$75 ,000 a year. Right now they're paying$12 ,000 a year in taxes. Well, if they're not paying that, that's$12 ,000 a year for rent, for food, and just general living. That moves the needle so much off of that base of income. And so you can drastically improve that person's life without really affecting the government income because it's only 3%. You can make that 3 % up in so many ways.

1:00:53So I loved it. I thought it was a really, really good suggestion. And that was the example he used. And so I think that, yeah, I just want to call it out so we can get more awareness to a great idea. Yeah, that's really cool. Would they ever do that? Would the government ever implement that? Like, I don't. That to me feels very feasible. Okay. Or something along the lines of like anyone making under$100 ,000 pays zero taxes. Removing taxes off of, if one day it just was announced like we're not going to tax you. can you imagine like i would be elated yeah but the government needs taxes no i understand that and so we just want to be efficient about who we're taxing yeah i i hesitate to really talk about this a lot because i don't like this isn't my area of expertise however what you're saying does seem to make sense to me yeah and i love hearing about initiatives that have the potential to drastically that are feasible and have the potential to drastically improve people's day-to-day living so if the three of us are in the room and we're voting yes we're gonna pass this or no we're not gonna pass this 100 okay so Harrison's a yes Jules yes and I love how we worded it as well like putting it into plain English so I could understand for an easy vote to yes layman's terms okay and I it doesn't matter what my vote is because majority has ruled it but I'm also gonna vote it's a unanimous yes wow we're putting it through there you go you guys know I love my blue light glasses from Zinni I genuinely feel like they help me sleep better and with two kids sleep is everything right now.

I do wonder if this is him setting himself up for a 2020 presidential run. Oh my gosh. Is he into politics? I think that when you have type A personalities like that who are uber successful, I think that he spends his time thinking about impact.

1:03:54And if he sees himself being able to have an outsized amount of – if he thinks it's doable, looking at the impact he could have in running the country next, I wouldn't be surprised if he made a run the same way that historically it's a trend that business people are always throwing their name. Jeff Bezos versus Spencer Pratt, 2028. Oh, man. Yeah, that's... Howard Schultz put his hat in the ring? It was rumored. Bloomberg in 2018. Okay. It's always rumored. Do you think they start... Do you think they know the rumors? Or do you think somebody just kind of like... It comes from their camps. Well, don't you think that maybe they just...

1:04:36Maybe that's not a real thing and they just sort of throw it in there? What do you mean? Do you know how much they're taxing on Survivor if you win a million dollars? I think that winnings in the U... Or in Canada, their tax rate. Here they're taxed because the girl that won 49 said, like, I had to pay X. I know the answer to this. Let's hear. Well, I don't know the exact number, but she paid three something in taxes. Okay, so 30 some odd percent. Yeah. Did you guys know that Mr. Beast has doubled the prize winning? Jules, yes. Let's show Jules. I know. Jules, of course we know. And you know me.

1:05:11I love Survivor. Survivor said season one, it was a million dollar prize. I know they have not inflation adjusted the reward that's crazy I can't believe it's still a million dollars today when it when that was like the power of season one it's like a million dollars was yeah it needs to be like 10 million now can we run the inflation adjusted number sure and to be clear I love Survivor I don't want this math to to ruin my chances of getting on the show okay I'm pro Survivor we need you to get on the show like I need you on the show I feel good about it but you haven't applied Jules is gonna apply for me I think you're gonna have to make a video so this season Jules they had Mr.

1:05:59Beast appear and who was the other guy who's engaged to uh Zach Brown the fried chicken guy yeah he's engaged to Kendra Scott oh yeah Kendra Scott Kendra Scott's fiance do you want a guess what$1 million from 2000 is today? I do, Jules. So 2000 was the first episode? Correct. 3.2 million. No, no, no, no, no. 1.7. 1.92. 1.93. Wow! Yes! Yes! Yes! So it should be 2 million. I'm such a nerd. I'm such a nerd. You are such a nerd. You are such a nerd. People don't... And it is 2 million because of Mr. Beast. Yeah. Very good. Okay, boom, Survivor. Never misses a mark. Best show ever. Cast. One thing that people don't realize the most about Harrison is that he is a nerd.

1:06:44Like, I don't think people realize that about you. I think it comes off. I don't think it does. Okay, things we DM'd. Well. Oh, I have a things we DM'd. Okay. Okay, tell the class. Well, there's a viral article going around about etiquette on befriending your friend's friend. And I thought you guys would have some good takes because you're good, like. I'm very interested in this. This is very funny. Yeah. What's the etiquette? This is very funny. I want to hear your guys' etiquette. Okay. So an example would be like you have to have like three trio hangouts before you go and do a solo hangout with a new friend.

1:07:25That's exactly what I was going to say. So like what's – yeah. What's your guys' name? That's a very good ratio. I approve of that ratio. So I have a very good friend here in Austin. Probably one of my – she is one of my best friends that I met through the neighbor. Okay. right yes maggie yeah that's who i thought you're talking about i met through winnie's mom and my very quick read about what i love about winnie's mom she didn't care she was so happy to introduce me to maggie and then from there like it was the probably the first time in my life where i've known i don't even have to do three solo hangouts if i tell her hey hey i'm going to dinner tonight with maggie she'd be like awesome tell her hi what are you wearing like so it's very dependent on the friend that made the introduction but additionally i do agree like put them in a group text do some group hangouts and then you can start to sidebar off i i i do kind of think that what do you think h you're there smirking if somebody befriended one of my friends i'd be so happy have we talked about the like bridge friends versus moat friends i haven't traded a friend like i haven't done this in like i haven't this dynamic hasn't happened with me in so long it would be like if started hanging out

1:08:52that would be the dynamic bleep and bleep yeah

1:08:58i'm just trying to give i'd like are you a moat friend i don't think you're a moat friend what's a moat friend so like a bridge friend is friends that connect their other friends to each other like that's my number one thing i love for my friends to be friends because who doesn't want their friends to be friends way to go jules well then there's moat friends that just like keep their social groups completely separate okay and they don't want their friends to meet okay am i allowed to to you're allowed to be a moat friend if you are no you're deaf not a friend though no but but i think sometimes i love connecting people other times like i have friends that we do very specific things together and that there isn't a ton of overlap so i i i actually like understand both sides of it like i try to look like if i have friends that i think will get along and that are very like-minded i love to bring them together but if i have friends that are operating in very different worlds in very different ways then yeah i'd keep them i'd keep them separate do you have a diverse set of friends my friends are all the same so i want them all to hang out yeah no harrison's friends my friends are primarily largely kind of all the same i have never met harrison no i've never met somebody like harrison jules who truly has you've got a you've got a more of a wide array of friends than anybody i know that i've ever met I like learning things yeah he'll go talk about like robot scientific somethings with people or he'll go I have science friends he'll go watch the sports friends sports friends drinking friends drinking friends workout friends he does he has these new workout friends they're coming to the barbecue bridge major bridge speaking of let's talk about the barbecue oh yeah we've got a dunk tank wow I rented a dunk tank because I floated the idea and it was very well received.

1:10:56And then we started inviting people. Let's just see the RSVP number on this Harrison. We wanted to keep it to 10 to 20. Okay. Let's just see where we've landed. Turns out like when you have kids, nobody really had plans on Memorial Day as of. Oh boy. 65. That's our number. and we handed out flyers and those people don't even know how to rsvp to the party full because they didn't even get the party full so i think we're gonna have 80 people at the block party barbecue i did reach out to bobby ken's boyfriend yep he is i need to respond to him actually he can only do like a certain amount of hours so what i think we'll do is loud speakers i think we need live music okay then we got it we got to get back on it but what if you have live music for a couple hours but don't they need like a stage i have a great place for them to play where in front of that i'll show you someone i meant to someone commented yesterday their cousin's band is in austin so i can i can send you the name if you want yeah jules send it i would love to look them up um so okay we gotta get so anyways we're gonna have burgers dogs we're gonna provide the food and then one of our neighbors is bringing a snow cone maker like it'll just be cute can i provide a recommendation for an activity yeah yes we we used to do big block parties growing up we once did the world's largest banana split and we did it my dad bought a gutter from home depot and he lined it with tinfoil and then we did like and every all the kids decorated and then everyone dug in at once but i just think a world's largest X really fun for kids that's such a good idea world's largest what well if all else fails let's do banana split world's largest snow cone if the snow cone machine is coming just make a giant one and say it's the world's largest that is so cool yeah it's really fun and I remember it you know 20 years later yeah I think like stuff like that's really cool totally that you remember I think we need to have games.

1:13:12We need to have... We're going to do apple bobbing. We're going to do watermeloning contests. People are upset about the apple bobbing. Why? Just the germ element of apple bobbing. So I've also always found it incredibly inconvenient. Like your head's soaked. Your head's soaked and then you're just saliva-ing in the water. Like, ew. Let's take it something different. Okay, so no apple bob. Watermelon spitting contest. What I think we could do is get a... Do you remember at the fairs, they would have a old school kiddie pool, the plastic ones, and there'd be ducks in it and you'd toss the ring over the duck's head.

1:13:43That's fun. So fun. Great game. Like easy to do. I'm trying to think of other ones that we've done in the past. I think like a hacky sack or like a sack race. So when am I pulling this together? Tomorrow afternoon? Yeah, I mean, we need to hurry. We need a grill. We need a grill. Yeah. What are you doing for Memorial Weekend? I don't know. Because I'm going out of town next week. so nothing. No, it's the 64 person. Cape Cod Jewels. Well, what are they? 64. Do you want to come? So what are you guys doing in the event of rain? Because have you guys looked at the 10-day weather forecast? It's mainly going to rain.

1:14:20I said this. I floated this to the class. I said, guys, it's going to rain and we all decided, no, it's not. Okay. So we'll see. If it rains, I think we just say it's rained out. Okay. Don't come. But that's where I hesitate to get the band. Because like, will they refund us due to rain? I don't know. I don't know either. Like the dunk tank, they're not going to care if it rains. You can dunk tank in the rain. Yeah, we're still dunk tanking. Are you going to go in the dunk tank? No. What? Oh, yeah, you 100 % are. You have to. I'll wear a tuxedo in the dunk tank. There we go. I got my outfit and Bubber's outfit and Rocky's outfit.

1:14:57All right, let's move on to this week we learned. Okay, Jules is going to explain this to us, but did you guys know how fingerprints are formed? when the fetus is in the womb fingers start forming and they press up against the side of the womb and it makes little ridges as they develop which is why nobodies are the same yeah it's what it's really cool science corner science corner oh my gosh you guys harrison how you would shake shack on the flight with your miller lights so Talk to us about that. How was the Shake Shack? Shake Shack. It was good. It was good. Good flight. Good flight. Were you excited when you found out that Shake Shack was on your flight?

1:15:40Yeah. Was it the Delta thing? Yeah. Yeah. Has anyone ever been to a Delta One lounge? I had the short rib as well. I ate a lot on the flight. A few short rib. How'd you get two meals? I asked nicely. One thing about Harrison, he's going to get the bang for his buck. he's drinking drink the beer is gonna get the shake shack gonna get the short ew you ate both oh yeah what was the person next to you thinking

1:16:11who was beside you girl or boy uh boy older young older old worked at an energy drink company so not that old old enough 40s yeah some like four to five handle and he lived in austin i didn't talk to him i just saw that shirt he was wearing oh nice nice nice okay yeah cool i'm not like a chatterbox on planes you're the last that's the last thing you are is a plane chatterbox yeah okay and so you got shake shack beef ribs beef short rib and what four to five miller lights a couple a couple okay what a very ambiguous answer all right guys well on that note you're going to work out today you're heading there right now okay um happy memorial day are we putting on an episode on monday yeah yeah okay we're gonna record on monday i can't wait that'll be fun okay so we're gonna record on monday so we will talk to you guys then we love you happy summer it's officially starting and thank you for listening you're listening thanks for listening to another episode of Two Parents and a Podcast powered by Just Media House.

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we have an unintentional Q&A episode because Alex put up a story box late last night, and we ended up answering your Qs for like… 45 minutes 🤭 So tons of practical stuff in here, including: WHY we decided to hire a night nurse and what it actually looks like for us (you guys had so many questions about this!), our potty training prep for Tate (she's 19 months and showing all the signs… are we ready?!), and then not so practical stuff like our thoughts on the Blake Lively / Justin Baldoni case (hahahha).

OK TLDR on YOUR other questions: Tate is OBSESSED with her new baby doll (the imaginative play era is real and so cute), how we organize the kids' clothes for potential future babies (sticker printer + labeled bins, very not Alex), wedding & honeymoon plans (we're getting back into it!! safari for the honeymoon??), and how did I know Harrison was the one (spoiler: it was the way he answered "how was your day?" lol). Plus, do we want more boys or girls for the next two kids, formula feeding guilt when your milk hasn't come in yet, the "I want to try for #2 but I'm SO nervous to be overwhelmed" question, and a viral trend ("me on a Tuesday morning because I didn't marry a loser"… we have thoughts).

Then we get into pop culture: Harrison's full Summer House finale + In The City review (skip the first 9 minutes if you don't watch lol), Craig Conover wrote a CHILDREN'S BOOK?!, Alex is officially loving Off Campus (Jules is shocked), and our Survivor finale predictions.

Plus, TWEET OF THE WEEK on Jeff Bezos's tax proposal (the bottom 50% should pay 0% in taxes — and Alex is making us all vote on it), THINGS WE DMED: the etiquette around befriending a friend's friend (the 3-hangout rule + are you a bridge friend or a moat friend?!), a Memorial Day block party update (we're at 80 people and Alex rented a DUNK TANK?!), and THIS WEEK WE LEARNED how fingerprints actually form in the womb (mind blown).

LOVE YOU GUYS!
