In short
Postpartum updates (pumping/breastfeeding mindset), first postpartum date night, nanny share changes, kids’ activities (dance recital, swim lessons), home renovation/pool build chaos, and “bicker of the week” (food/flight decisions).
Guests
Two Parents in a Podcast hosts: Alex and Harrison (parents of two children: Tate and Rocky). Jules is also present as a co-host/third speaker. No outside guests are interviewed in this episode.
Guest backgrounds
Alex is postpartum with newborn Rocky; she discusses pumping, breastfeeding, and returning to routine. Harrison is the co-parent and partner in planning date night and parenting logistics. Jules is involved in family updates (dance/swim) and joins segments like Q&A/bickers.
Key claims
Alex is intentionally avoiding pressure (no strict pumping goals; reframing exhaustion as “the reason you’re tired”). Postpartum date night helped her feel more like herself. Nanny share is working well and they’re considering adding a third child. Swim lessons are progressing; ISR may come later.
Notable examples
iHeart Radio Country Festival at the Moody venue; outfit shopping at The Domain; adding a third nanny-share child via a trial; dance recital showed rapid learning; swim lessons cost about $145 per kid for 6–8 lessons; pool build caused a broken pipe and water outage.

0:42Those sandals you can wear all day and all night. And you've had enough of shopping from your couch. Done hoping it looks anything like the picture when you tear open that envelope? It's time for a little in-person spring treat. It's time for a trip to Ross. Work your magic. okay ready honey I'm very ready are you ready yep we're on camera today back but maybe maybe I'm only back every time we'll see I just was with you today and we were coming here and I was dressed and I said okay you look phenomenal thank you so we in the notion doc because obviously I not obviously I did the programming today and we're probably going to discuss 20 of what was in the programming doc because there's so many things that were put into it and now that we're only recording once a week like it's amazing how much material there is for us to discuss and now like funny enough even the first two things i want to discuss today weren't even in the programming well what are they well Let's start.
1:48Well, we have it. Okay. How do we start again? You do it. No, come on. Hello, everybody. And welcome back to another episode of... Two Parents in a Podcast. Good job, H. Featuring two parents. Featuring two parents of two children. Of two children. So the two things not in the programming that I think should be discussed. We have a nanny share update. Jules does not even know about this. I didn't even know about this until this morning. Yes. What's here? And then secondarily, and this goes into our pop culture tea section, we didn't have the Justin Baldoni, Blake Wively situation. Are you going to – so I don't know what happened.
2:28Could you tell me and the people all at once? Yeah, but like always, we're going to start IRL. Let's start IRL. And then we're going to get into some things we DMed, a tweet of the week. and then we have a Q &A, but my instinct is we're not even going to get to the Q &A today. A moment for your hosting skills. Thank you. Do you know how you're going to get me to keep coming back? You putting the team on your back. You are putting the team on the back. I'm happy to do the little things of programming. Rocky is here. So if I go off camera, it's because I'm giving him a bottle. To go get Rocky Bears.
3:04To go get Rocky Bears and I'm going to feed him. But let me just tell you, I have spilled. So a lot of people are asking me, I'm just going to go. I'm going to do an IRL update. A lot of people have been asking me, they were like, when you go back, will you do a pumping slash breastfeeding update? And I will. I'll do it now because I just posted on my story that I've spilled two bottles. I've spilled 16 ounces of milk this week. And not to mention, last night after dance class, I left a full four ounce bottle in my bag overnight. Just a correction. You've spilled eight. Someone else has spilled eight.
3:39Yeah, Tate spilled eight ounces. Happily, she just took them out and goes, Tate, Tate, and poured them. And I was like, oh. So was pumped. She was so proud of herself. And I was like, oh, okay. Didn't obviously get mad at her, but my heart did hurt for a second. And then last night, I pumped on our back patio, got up to pick it up, and just knocked it over. So that was too bad. And then last night, I left in my purse a four-ounce bottle. So RIP to the 20 ounces. That's too bad, but it's fine because I do have – I am making more milk than I did the first time. So I'm pumping eight ounces of pump right now and he's eating four ounces, which means I'm able to pocket four ounces, which is great news.
4:19And then what I'm doing is pumping in the middle of the night, breastfeeding him probably 50 % of the day, pumping the other 50 % of the day. The reason I like to pump because so to me, breast milk, I just call it breastfeeding all of it. I call pumping, breastfeeding, breastfeeding, breastfeeding. Like if the baby's getting a breast milk, I call it breastfeeding, but I know that there's a difference between pumping and breastfeeding. So I'll delineate between the two. Now I like to pump at least once or twice a day because I get to see how much I'm making and I get to completely drain the boob.
4:52When you drain the boob, it tells your body to produce more. So that's why I've always like been fond of pumping. Although pumping does feel a lot more transactional, not nearly as fun. Um, with Tate after the year mark, I started, I, I hated the pump. like I resented the pump right now where I'm at mentally it's like I'm enjoying it I sit in bed I read a book I drink a cup of coffee well how many times are you pumping a day now versus with Tate feels like you're pumping like you're probably two less pumps a day maybe more totally like I'm not pumping every three hours on the dot I'm pumping like every four hours which I know they say that'll make your supply go down I don't even care right now and then I'm breastfeeding him in between so yeah I'm probably with Tate I was so pump regimented with him I'm just trying to pump some and feed him some you're doing phenomenal and any update to the what you laid out before in terms of timeline of how long you're pump versus formula no like with baby number one, I was like, I have a six month goal.
5:58I must pump every three hours. I have to do all of these things. It was so regimented with him. I'm even with work. I'm like, I'll come if I'm in the car. I was in the car. Okay, great. You know, um, I didn't know when I was going to be, your mom asked me, when are you going to go back and be on camera? I said, it'd probably be a month. Look, I'm here, Kathy, three days later from her asking me that question. Like I'm very much so trying to detach from all of these rules and so I don't have a pumping goal um I don't want a pumping goal I'm enjoying it right now the minute I'm not enjoying it maybe I'll start combo feeding so we've got the Bobby on deck but right now I'm good doing it I'm enjoying doing it I like breastfeeding him more than pumping but I don't really care like I'm just enjoying the whole thing and I I really applaud you for for following and trusting your instincts and and your gut thank you.
6:49My favorite part of the day is like my, I pump at seven every day and then I hold him and I like get my coffee and I read my book for an hour and I don't touch my phone. And it is just like the most blissful newborn bubble ever. I do feel like one consistent thing that you'd like to, that you've, that you've been saying over the past couple of weeks is like, you're making an intentional goal about not applying pressure. and i feel like that's reflected in a lot of facets of life like not putting a specific target on the breast and combo feeding return to work um and obviously luxury there given given you're your own boss but so on i think that that mindset has been applied across the board sleep how often you're pumping uh and so on and so forth well you taught me this like what is your mentality around it so for me motherhood the first three months of having a newborn right did it with tate and then i'm doing it with rocky now and it's like what do i want it to look like what do i want it to feel like and i saw this clip of ann hathaway and they were asking her she was talking about at the met gala being tired and they were like oh you know like we're sorry you're tired she's like no you have to ask yourself are you okay with the reason that you're tired.
8:09And she's like, I love the reason that I'm tired right now. Like I'm really thankful that I get to work this hard and I love what I do. And what I'm thinking about right now in terms of this postpartum is yeah, I'm sleep deprived. Yes. I'm starving slash like sometimes shaking because of my milk supplies coming in and my body's readjusting to the hormones. And while all that's hard, I still love the re like, I love being a mom. I love getting up in the middle of the night right now and pumping or breastfeeding, whichever one I do. And I like, I like the reason that I'm tired right now. And I love the newborn bubble.
8:46So you taught me to frame my mind around it and make things fun. And the way I make this postpartum fun for me is not have like, I don't have to go try and go on a walk. I don't have to try to eat healthy. I don't have to do any of these things. I can just enjoy this moment. yeah and you're doing a phenomenal job funny enough I didn't know that that tired thing came from Anne Hathaway but I did see it going around on the internet and I did see Bobby's campaign behind it and I thought it was it was it really resonated did you see that so Bobby I want to read with it because I saw the founder of Bobby's story who shared by the way no it's not an ad um who shared I'm really into the reason that I'm tired.
9:34Okay, so yeah. So have you slept yet, Anne? By the way, I do love how we're now adding a third thing that was not programmed at all. This is just, this is what I love about it is we sit here and we just go. Yeah, well, that's why podcasting is fun. So, okay, so the interviewer is saying have you slept yet, Anne? She's obviously on the Devil Wears Prada whirlwind of a tour right now. And she's like, a little bit, not much, last night but the night before, I'm reading as we go, I got a good six hours. How do you keep yourself level-headed, the interviewer says. And she says, who's luckier than us, right?
10:08We have cool jobs. My thing is like when you get a little bit tired, do you like the reason that you're tired? And I love the reason that I'm tired. I'm really into the reason that I'm tired. She says it all with like this beautiful smile on her face. Amazing. And I'm not going to be this tired forever and I'll sleep eventually. Is this the same clip where she talked about it was her first day off in like four years did you see that no i didn't see that maybe it was like upcoming on a tuesday she knew it was coming it was her first day off in x amount of years and they're like what are you gonna do she's like i actually don't know like i just couldn't imagine not having a single debt you know her first day to herself and i love that and you don't she doesn't she just kind of hustles in silence that girl um i want to see the devil wears prada too so bad so so bad dad ad that's your hint you can take me on a date i would love to do that speaking of dates we went on our first date night in a very long time so we're going to transition into that oh my gosh we did okay and and i i don't know if i've said this before but i do find it quite funny that i stand by i thought we were very very very good about how many dates we were going on and then the minute that you called us out for not being good at it which at that time i think we were like I really I think we could count on one hand how many dates we went on following that moment obviously like you were in the thick of pregnancy and so very understandable why um it just it was so much fun to get out there and do and do a date night with you I was thinking you had this earlier I don't know what pregnancy does to my body but I went to a facial appointment earlier today and the thought of me doing that pregnant it would be this daunting thing at 1 p.m that I could hardly attend and I would go and it would take it it would take all my energy for the entire day I would be anxious going there parking would be hard walking in would be hard not pregnant I'm like I can I have forgotten all the things I can do in a day even what's funny about that is even when you we would record you'd like come in and we'd be like in a rush to start because at some point there would be like the the chance that that you you just start not feeling well and like we'd have to wrap early or um and I pause or something I don't think pregnancy overtakes everybody's body the way that it does mine but I'm so thankful to be on the other side of it now I think about it and I'm like I can go to Soho house I can go to breakfast with you I can go to Soho house with you I can go to get my facial and then I can come record that would be a normal day for me not pregnant but my mind for those nine ten months was so conditioned to be like one thing what's your one thing you're gonna do today and I don't think pregnancy is like that for everybody and I just I don't know what it is if it's a hormone thing if I don't know what the thing is but it just somebody takes over Alex's body well you're killing it now you kill it during pregnancy and date night was very fun.
13:10So let's talk about the date night. Oh yeah, let's talk about date night. Sorry, thank you. And it was, so the, give me the word. Like the - Mindset? The main event of the date night was a concert, okay? I Heart Radio Country Festival. It was at the Moody Theater and they had like eight, 10 awesome country artists who all go up there, kind of play their three or four best songs. Really, really fun event. So we. It was at the Moody Center. What did I say? You said the Moody Theater. And this is a little known Austin thing. There's the Moody Theater, Moody Center, and Moody Amphitheater. None of them are related to each other.
13:52Okay. That is good to know. Because my brain works. I'm going to get him. I'm going to get the little rowey. Keep going. Alex is now off camera for the episode, unfortunately. Hold on the whole episode. When it comes to kids and babies, you guys know there are so many things. and so many devices, one for video, another for breathing. And then you have to rely on the gut instinct or a late night Googling to figure out how to sleep, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And that is where Nanit comes in, you guys, because it is everything in one place, in one app, on one monitor. And it is truly, there's so much to worry about with parenting, but with Nanit, when it comes to sleep, you don't have to worry anymore.
14:29And whenever, now we've got two kids, right? I've got two under two. So with Tate, I wanted to keep her on her routine. With Rocky, I wanted to figure out his sleep routine. Guess what comes into play with both of those? Nanit, because you can do a split monitor. And we also, we have the Smart Baby Monitor System, and it is your partner in parenting from night one. I cannot stress it enough to you. Whenever we're home, we've got our monitor. Whenever we're out and about, I could pull it up right now. It's on my phone. And whenever we do a girls' night and everybody has a Nanit at home, guess what we do?
14:58We all say, oh, my kid's asleep. Oh, my kid's asleep, because we all have the Nanit monitor on our phone, and we can just click on the app and we can see that Dada has put the baby to bed. Nanit's overhead view lets you see everything clearly with unreal HD quality, you guys. We can zoom in and see if Tate's eyes are open or closed. It's the best thing ever. When you're pregnant, you have ultrasounds and you see this grainy black and white visual and you're like, is that the foot? What am I looking at? Nanit is the exact opposite, you guys. It is so clear. You can also see spit up on your baby's onesie.
15:28It's honestly too good to be true. So the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor System, including the new 8-inch home display, is now 20 % off for Mother's Day. Yes, PSA Mother's Day is coming up. Use code 2PARENTS, that's the number 2, and then PARENTS at checkout to get the 20 % off plus a free travel case. Expecting listeners, add Nanit to your registry. And if you have friends who are expecting or new parents, buy the Nanit for them. They'll be so grateful. I bought it for my best friend. You can find Nana basically everywhere. Nana.com, BabyList, and Amazon. Add it to your registry, and if you have expecting friends, buy it off their registry.
16:06Mother's Day is around the corner, and moms want nothing more than peace of mind and some sleep. All right, so Alex is off camera for the time being, as Rocky is having a feed. But to bring it back to date night, main event of the date night was at Moody, the iHeart Country Music Festival. phenomenal event 10 plus artists doing their three to four uh most well-known songs you had everyone from shibuzi to luke brian to kane brown we love concerts concerts are a consistent date night for us so love that where it got a little different is initially we're going to do a dinner just the two of us but we had a group of friends that were going for dinner and we hadn't done much socially as well and so Alex chose to do for us to go with the group of friends so we went to Matt's and overall I had a phenomenal time what do you think what else is there to add well one thing that made the date okay so I was nervous like how was I gonna feel the date night was I gonna have fun right because right now if if it's more fun for me to stay at home and make dinner with you once the kids go to bed and like watch a movie then like that's my idea of a date night I want to do whatever's most fun but I was starting to get a little like I don't have fun pregnant so I I do start to crave fun whenever I'm not pregnant anymore and I was like I do want to go out and do something but girls will understand this like postpartum you don't I do feel like myself a lot more two weeks in than I did with Tate it took me like five months to feel like myself with Tate but my number one thing I kept telling Harrison was I want to like my outfit I was like I want I just, I want to like my outfit.
17:43One thing about me is I want to like it. And you look phenomenal. So what do we do? So we went to the domain, me, Harrison, and Rocky, while Tate was at the nanny share. And we just walked and walked and walked. And then finally we walked by a jersey dress. I said, I want that. It will match my light blue cowboy boots. I'm a boy mom now. We're getting that. So we got it. And I was so comfy because like I'm still wearing a diaper. So like I was so comfy. I just was happy all night long in the outfit. and I had fun getting ready. And so we're actually going to do it again tomorrow. Harrison was like, we're going to go back to the domain.
18:17We're going to get you because I have, I have an event and a celebratory dinner. So I've got, we've got two things this weekend. So Harrison was like, we're going to do it again. And I was like, you know what? That sounds really fun. And every time, so with Tate, we did this too. And we went and probably got three or four outfits that fit at that time. And I keep them. Only problem is different seasons. But so I always keep on my postpartum. I'm like, I have a box in the basement and I keep all my postpartum and pregnancy clothes. And so how far away do you think we are from weekly date nights?
18:50Closer than, I think we're a month away. And so what do you think? Right now we're on the cadence of like every other week? Yeah, probably. And other than Devil Wears Prada 2, ideas for another date night? From me? Yeah, from anyone. I guess there's someone else in the room named Jules. I love going to dinner. I love going to dinner and trying new restaurants. And so I would love to do that with you. Jules, any new restaurants you should be checking out? Oh my gosh. No, you're putting me on the spot here. I don't know. There's that Italian restaurant. There's some sushi restaurant people are always trying, but there's some Italian spot.
19:29This isn't dinner, but this is the new thing on the scene. It's that sound bar on, it's a listening bar or something like that. Is it the wine bar on the Congress? Yes. Yes. I feel like that's the new thing on the scene here. Okay. This was not on my scene. I saw this. I was supposed to go last weekend. I think I'm going next weekend. It's all open air, right? Yeah, it looks pretty cool. I thought it looked cool too. Is Ginny invited? No, it's not the vibe. It's no dogs probably. No dogs, even outside doors. Yeah, it's like swanky. Dogs can be swanky, Jules. It's like a rooftop bar. Okay. We'll add that to the list.
20:09so okay where to go from here nanny share because she mentioned the nanny share and i'm waiting for the update here's where things shake out on the nanny share we love it we're committed to it but we're always looking to improve it and i think the observation that that's occurred right now is over the past couple months we've really started to see the girls play with with each other for the first time and interact in a meaningful way. And we see how great it's been for their development, their growth, their sharing, their temperament control, and so on and so forth. And neighbor T and I were walking this morning and we both collectively brought up that we were thinking it would make sense to add a third to the nanny share.
20:57So we are officially on the lookout to add a third child to the nanny share. Now, we're probably taking this more seriously than we'd need to, right? But we're talking to another couple about it now. And what's really important for us is one, like how does Maria feel about all of it? And so we're going to have like a trial where we see how Maria feels about taking care of three. And yeah, we have such a great thing going. We just want to make sure that we don't derail it. I think the other thing is maybe they won't come every day. Maybe they'll opt for three days a week, which could be really cool.
21:44Yeah. So we're getting fluid with it. And a few different factors are at play, but we're very excited about this next phase of growth. So when I came home and I told Alex, I was like, what do you think about adding a third? And what did you say? Great. I love it. I like anything that lends itself towards more interactions, more like I'm obsessed with attending dance class and swim lessons because I just think these girls love to be social and we should lean into what they like. Yeah. And I think we'll get past three. I think just we're and maybe we'll end up at four or five. I think the reason why, you know, the focus is on three is the next step is we want to make sure that things things remain smooth.
22:27So logistically, the next thing we're going to have to deal with, and I get this question a million times, is what's going on with Rocky? So we've said this before, but I'll just summarize it again. Rocky Bears. I'll summarize it again, which is we've got Tate and Winnie with Maria. And then with Maria's mom, we've got Rocky and Yates, which is Winnie's brother. I don't know. Are we going to have all four of them always at the same house when we add a third kid? What we discussed is rotating homes. Okay, so like the little, you'll have the littles one day and the bigs the other day. Okay, I love that.
23:02So every day of the week we get to have somebody around. Yeah, and I feel like we'll probably time it so that way there is some overlap. So kind of in the mornings, whoever walks over, everyone kind of hangs at that house before they walk back and then vice versa, pick up. It does make parenting one thing that we're loving, especially Harrison right now, because Rocky's obviously staying at home until he's three or four months old. but Harrison goes and he drops Tate off every morning and you just hang out over there and like have a cup of coffee and it really makes parenting fun like we really kind of have a morning block party yeah the neighbors have a new roommate I'm not sure like I feel bad that like and the roommate is Harrison neighbor and like every morning she walks into her kitchen I'm just sitting there at her kitchen table huffing a cup of coffee yeah I think it's cute second of the day it may parenting with the village is really fun and like we have we have a kid on our block that is the same birthday as rocky what what surprises me most about it though is like how in these early stages the the age matters so much yeah rocky and yates are light years apart and they're only six months apart light years apart so it does really matter but i don't know I don't know what age they catch up to each other.
24:19Yeah, that'll be, I mean, well, it'll be interesting to watch with the two of them. Whoa, buddy. Jules, what did you think about that update? Was that surprising to you? It wasn't the update I was expecting. What were you expecting? I thought it was going to be something with Rocky and Yates. I don't know. No, Rocky Bear and Yates, they're doing their thing. They're doing their thing. I did have something I was going to say and I forgot what it was. I'm not going to remember it. Well, Bubz had her dance recital. Okay. Why don't you take the lead on that? You did it. you were in there with her so uh i'll i actually i like this and here's why i like it because coming into dance i definitely was uh was a little skeptical and because we'd go there and she really didn't know what was going on and yesterday i couldn't believe how many moves and things she'd learned from the first class repetition is key like she understood so many of of those dances and went to hop and went to touch her knees to her toes and went to do the uh the sleeping action and what to do with the parachute thing i was blown away at where she was versus versus the initials so um i'm very glad we followed your lead on that and are we gonna are we gonna re-sign up for dance class yes i'm so excited we're gonna sign up for another dance class i'm supportive of that um and i i like our weeks like we've got dance and swim yeah swim which is is very very important yeah swim which is very important there and the swim class was so the update on swim was we started her in swim lessons it's not isr but like she's getting dunked she's learning to jump in like i really like where we're going with swim lessons i would still like to do isr at some point but right now I'm very happy with the swim lessons that we're doing.
26:08Did you talk about how we broke ground on the pool? No. There's like, we didn't even talk about the swim lessons. It's so long ago at this point though. But like we didn't talk about swim lessons. Well, I mean this is our second swim lesson. That's why we need to, like, this one a week is killing me, Jules. I know, but guys, we're going to go to three a week, which is exciting. Yes, so swim lessons. We are on swim lesson two. We have five babies doing this. it feels like here's my initial instinct well what do you think so what what do you think so far oh i'm thrilled i love the group i love i love everything about it just like this is what childhood swim lessons in the summer should be to me and you're doing it at someone's house yeah we're doing it at my friend olivia's house but i agree the vibes are awesome it's a really nice event to do you see them you know i i'm sure we'll see them progress along but it also feels like we need isr where i know i think we do i think we do more is more when it comes to swimming from what i can tell like this feels like it will train them to learn how to swim versus isr which covers the survival piece so yeah i i agree we're gonna need isr i think more is more when it comes to swim but i'm very happy that we're starting and i love the group that we're starting with and I love the way we're starting.
27:30So we're dipping our toe in the water, pun intended, and then we'll see. Yeah, and what I'll say about it is by doing it in this big group setting, it definitely turns into something like on the calendar that you look forward to. And I think that's important, number one. Number two, ISR is an everyday for six weeks commitment, which is hard with a newborn. So I think the way we're doing it right now is actually perfect. I love swim. And if our swimming skills don't develop by the time he's of age, then we can do ISR with both of them. Yeah, which would be great. I was wondering how much doing swim lessons like that with friends at someone's house, like how much that costs.
28:11So we got an instructor from like a local swim, I think, academy nearby. And it's$145 per kid for six or eight lessons. So pretty good. That sounds reasonable. Very good. Yeah. I know. incredible right so like 25 bucks a class yeah something like that depending i can't remember if we're doing six or eight weeks for some reason i have it somewhere but anyways very reasonable cool yeah you just need someone with a pool need someone with a pool and then you got to find the instructor yeah or you could do it at a um or you could go to the aquatic place i guess but i love doing it at someone's house because it's just well i can't get think that it would be much less than that per class at an aquatic center.
28:55No, I wouldn't either. Especially part of it is just like knowing the parents. Right. I gave my rundown of the two weeks with 202. What jumps out to you out of the gates? One thing that I, I'm sorry if I'm far away from the mic, one thing that I love that we're doing is not being, and this is a product of us interviewing people and learning about introducing this new sibling in, but like this morning Tate's like, she just wanted her pacifier for five extra minutes to run around upstairs and Harrison's like whatever I'm just gonna give it to her so like she just had her passive for five minutes and then Harrison before they went downstairs Harrison said hey she calls it her BB you've got to go put your BB up and she just walked over to her bed and said bye bye BB and put it up like instead of us getting into a standoff with her during a time where there's a lot of new happening I love that you're just kind of like do we can we give in here it's not even giving in but like are we down to meet her halfway or are we going to hold our line like yesterday she wanted she wanted my chocolate bar that's what it was and she got really sad that she couldn't get the chocolate bar and it was just like we weren't going to negotiate with her we weren't going to offer her other food we just said no chocolate bar she was sad for two minutes and then she moved on and it's like that was an area where we were just like no ma 'am but with the bb it was like yeah you know what you can have your bb have it yeah and i like that we're doing that with her we're not being so drill sergeant yeah i like the rule is no bb it's like she's a year and a half she doesn't get that she doesn't get the rule yeah definitely it's it's funny you say that like we we've not we've not been getting into standoffs with her uh definitely flexing on on the rules the other day was the same thing like she asked for a bottle she hasn't asked for a bottle in or she's rarely asked for bottles and and it it felt like i really understood she's a year and a half she sees her brother being held and being given bottles like she wants to be held and she wants to be given a bottle not every night but like she's gotten one since he's been alive and it's like she just asked for it she was like tay tay she's done too i gave her second mom she's like tay tay and we're like yeah you know what fine you can have your tay tay but you can't have mom's chocolate bar.
32:32And so I think that the other thing is when she does throw a tantrum about not getting the chocolate bar, we're definitely doing the brat busters method, which she says, pretend like you're at the bus stop waiting on the bus. Like, don't be on your phone. Don't be over there, you know, saying, Hey, you can try XYZ. You're just waiting on the bus to come. And that's what we did yesterday with the chocolate bar. She's like, you can't have it. We're not giving you anything else. And you need to learn that we're not going to reward you throwing the fit so we just chilled i have our biggest mistake so far in three weeks what okay starting a home renovation at the same time as bring a child into this world we knew it was dumb no roll the clips and we still did it anyways it's just like we we should have waited a month like in theory had the plan and the renovation been executed as expected things would be gravy but i think like any renovation that happens it's not even a renovation it's a pool build it's a pool and outdoor build there's always the unexpected turns out there was a pipe running through the middle of the pool we need to move the pipe it's plumbing in moving the pipe we broke the pipe the water the water is turned off at the moment hard to wash bottles so and you know it should be back on in in a couple hours but like still point being you just add like there's truly another added layer of of stress into uh into things which like but i also think like you always hear we're living with my in-laws you know like we were crazy we bought a house we're renovating it we moved in with the in-laws we're going to move in when our baby's three months old.
34:23Like for there's something around people having kids that like motivates you to also take Humpty Dumpty apart before you put them back together, which is like what we're doing. But I bet the listeners could tell us like, maybe your husband got a new job and you're relocating and you just had a newborn. Like there is something chaotic about when you're living in chaos, just add a little more. Maybe that's just you and I, but. And, and there are also, I think part of that is there's no perfect time. Like when you're building a family, like it's, I feel like things are going to only get more and more and more hectic, but I do wish we delayed one month because it feels like every week that goes by, like we get more and more back into a new routine or like call it a new norm.
35:07And I think we would have benefited from, um, from waiting the month. Well, no, because then every month we wait as every month we're further away from the pool. and they told us it would be about 45 days no 60 days to do the pool and so we can get in austin it stays warm here till like october um we can get some pool time and where i just i'm so appreciative of you is like while the hecticness of the building's been going on you like you remain so patient like so that's made it 20 times better well my rule was I'm so down for it in fact I want to start now but leave me out of it like if the pipe breaks let me know but I'm not talking to the plumber I'm just like great okay there's no water today I understand but you're doing the you're doing the handling now in terms of what has been easiest does anything jump out to you um okay so one thing that's been really easy is our morning routine which is we have this new thing that occupies tate for an hour and that is her running back and forth between seeing rocky and mama in the mornings and it's she won't like when alex says now like she won't like she the only way she'll stop is if we actually take her to do somewhere else to do something else like She will do it for an infinite amount of time.
36:36She wakes up and she literally goes and sees Rocky, gives him a kiss, then comes and sees me, and then truly spends the next hour running back and forth between our rooms saying hi to both of us. And opening the doors and closing the doors and saying bye-bye. It's the cutest thing ever. Hi, bye-bye. That's what she does. And so that's been nice. What else has been easy? Taking away from some coffee shop time. Do you know the other thing that's been easy is like you do when Tate goes to see Maria every day and goes to the nanny share, you do get your little newborn bubble, which is really nice.

I think the other thing that I would add is I feel like stress levels on baby two are way lower versus baby one. Because I feel like with baby one you were seeing so much for the first time and so like whether it be how they cry or different noises they'd make like I remember being being so on edge and uh we were out for dinner with friends the other night and um their second kid was there and their second kid is is young call it six seven months and they were eating and they weren't choking but they were you know they were having a hard time swallowing the food and i remember if that was when the first time it happened with tate like we freaked out we're you know putting over the knee um yelling at the waiter to come getting it up versus these parents because there's the second kid they were super patient in terms of allowing the child to pass the food and i that to me felt very reflective of um like their lack of stress in that moment i feel like is a great is a great reflection of of a lot of the day-to-day of a second child versus versus the first and not to say there isn't going to be stressful times and stressful moments but stress levels generally just feel a lot lower this time versus last time well there's stress in different ways like there's not stress around them having gas or them eating xyz but there is stress around like throwing up yeah or if the baby pukes or you know whatever it is but there is stress around having two kids you know going anywhere is a little harder is it more fun kind of like i much prefer the two i love I love it but like there's it's different kinds of hard yeah I think that's I think that's that's a good call out your hands are more full like you've got Tate now who's running around at a restaurant and him who needs to drink a bottle at a restaurant like it used to just be if Tate was running around I would eat you would go run around with her you'd come sit down and then I would go run around there and then you'd eat yeah I'm I'm pretty out on restaurants though with Tate right now it's such a challenge it is but did we go out to eat last night no we ended up just going home after dance yeah bubs doesn't want to be at a restaurant we don't want to be at a restaurant with bubs and i think we just need to accept that um okay so we didn't even talk about her dance recital it was a mini performance oh we did i'm sorry i think we did yeah i'm sorry we did uh where do you want to go now alex you're the driver i'm the driver should we do now i'm the driver should we do the baker of the week yes what is it we've done this in forever well did Did you get good submissions?
40:59I did get a couple good submissions. I felt like the most common ones were very common bickers of the week, which is just like how someone loads a dishwasher if there's a right or wrong way to do that. Or just Harrison doesn't load it. And what to eat for dinner. Apparently a lot of people are bickering over what to actually eat for dinner. Well, I have a bicker of the week on this. Okay. So Harrison will say, and I think I've said this, at 10 a.m. he'll suggest like we're going to get Mexican food tonight. and then I will in my brain count on getting Mexican food for sure because we've said it once and that's obviously what's happening.
41:35And then at 4 o 'clock he'll call me and be like, doesn't barbecue sound incredible? And I will just be like, no, Mexican has sounded good all day because he told me it was Mexican food. So for us it's not so much deciding what to eat but more so we get paralyzed by decisions. I need to defend myself in this situation because there's an important piece that is not being acknowledged. And so that is at 10 a.m., I will say, hey, Alex, do you want to have Mexican tonight? You will be noncommittal about if we have Mexican. So then my brain goes, all right, we're not going to have Mexican. And I spend all day thinking about what do I actually want to eat?
42:18And so I'll call you up for it and I'll say, hey, how does barbecue sound? and over that period you come around on mexican and i've moved off of it so i like i guarantee you and i almost want to record our calls when i make that morning suggestion i never get commitment i think the other problem is your so then what ends up happening i would love mexican tonight i'm so excited about it i love building up the hype around food no you don't you change your mind that's this is fake news we don't have barbecue or mexican and we end up seating at home like cereal don't you think that's kind of how we do it but but that's because in the morning you say you know what i think all i want is cereal tonight yeah and then i do it's true okay so i'm at fault it's me i'm the problem but here here's some other unique ones don't do that with that water bottle please it is so loud okay i thought this one was good um when i want to eat ice cream but my was sorry when i want to eat ice cream but my husband doesn't want any oh it's a great bicker because like one thing about girls is we want to take you down with us one thing about guys is i don't i don't think that i don't think that you need an ice cream buddy so you would like alex wants ice cream she needs you to also have ice cream with her oh absolutely not yeah and or said differently like when i'm pregnant i don't work out and harrison's like going to the gym and getting so fit i'm like stop it's sort of the same mentality but like last night i housed a bunch of dessert and you didn't i had a bunch of cookies last night but that's what i'm saying you didn't need a buddy that's my point the next one that i'm surprised we haven't talked about this before leaving for vacation the night before vacation or leaving in the morning okay this is a very complicated question because it's all about the flight time well it's all about the time you land yeah that's what i'm saying it's all about optimizing because one thing harrison and i have in common is like we want more time don't you think and so exactly and so to me the optimal time to land in a place for vacation is 10 a.m oh yeah but we would so if we were going on a vacation thursday friday saturday coming home sunday we would leave wednesday night though to wake up there Thursday for sure.
44:46This is a thousand percent what we don't do. Bicker about it. I do think we would do that. For sure we would do that. I know you and I have done that. We've like talked ourselves into going earlier. Where this gets very complicated is the flight time. Yeah. So where we're going 4th of July, there's only one flight that's direct. So, okay. So let me, let me re, let me re cut this. The most important part of that question is getting the direct flight. Then when you get the direct flight, there's no point in arriving somewhere if you can't at least have dinner. Oh, I agree. So then, but so would you go the day before though?
45:33The entire day before? I kind of think that we're just on different pages here. I think that if we're saying we're going away Thursday to Sunday, that we want to be there for like 10 a.m. on Thursday, if possible. No, I would go Wednesday. I always just like assume why not wake up there and get the extra day. Yeah, I think that you and I are actually on different pages with this. Okay, so you're going the day of. You just want an optimal flight time. yeah my view is like if i'm paying for the hotel i want the full use of the city and hotel but this is the question if the only direct flight let's say we're going to dallas which we're not but the only direct flight to dallas lands at 10 p.m every day one direct yeah you don't want to land at 10 p.m on thursday you miss all day thursday so you go wednesday night well 100 but that's 100 % on that okay great that's why I think it's like actually case by case city by city depends on the direct would you then opt into a connecting flight that got you there earlier I will there's very very few things if any that would that would have me take a connecting over direct flight time being one of them I I think it in all chances no parents you know anything that makes our lives easier on us and the baby is a win.
46:57And that's why we seriously love Magnetic Me. And I gift it to all new parents because here's the thing, you guys, these clothes use magnets instead of snaps or zippers, which means getting dressed is quick, easy, and fun for everybody. Because I always say changing a newborn is like changing a cat. And when you can do it fast with magnetic closures, it makes all the difference in the world. And here's the thing about magnetic me you guys the fabric is so soft and the prints are so cute rocky has been wearing them non-stop we have the newborn sizes and we have the zero to three month old sizes so when he grows we can keep him in magnetic me because time is money you guys and you are going to want to save the time when it comes to changing so trust me once you try magnetic me you'll never want to go back to buttons or zippers and you'll understand why i gifted to all the new parents Order yours today to make changing time easier for you and your baby.
47:50Plus, remember, they make amazing gifts. Right now, new customers can get 15 % off sitewide at magneticme.com. Don't wait. Get 15 % off at magneticme.com. But what about if you're traveling without kids? I avoid connecting at all costs. Okay. I'm likely to not go if I need to connect. Me too. And they canceled all the direct flights home. I haven't been home since. Really? Yeah. And my mom's trying to come out here. And it's just like no one wants to go on a connecting flight. I get that. When we – in Vancouver, they only run seasonal direct flights. And like us getting back to Vancouver over the holidays was – it was a nightmare.
48:34And everything went like almost as smooth as possible. But it just adds like a true other headache. but i also think because i when i started doing most of my traveling i lived in major metropolitan cities that had direct flights everywhere like between new york la san francisco and hong kong like you fly pretty much direct anywhere you want to go you'd rather go on a 10-hour direct flight than a four-hour connection that's not how it works well no but you're not going to the same place i'm just saying which one do you prefer
49:12that's actually a pretty good question thank you well and i like each place the most it's yeah it's yeah then i take the time the 10 hours no the four oh okay yeah okay there's two more which another thing was that this is not a good parlay to talk about delta pulling we could uh so delta off 300 delta on 350 short route flights they stopped doing beverage and snack service how short of a route route is what i say i think it was under two hours no no and under no circumstances why did they do this cost savings i'm gonna have a hot take I love this I love this we don't need the pretzels we don't need the pretzels we need the Maui pretzels those are so good we don't need if you want something bring it on the plane a lot of times you don't have time to do that if you want a diet coke bring it on the plane a lot of times that service is my lifeline because I'm really hungry I'll ask for an extra bag of pretzels and I didn't have time to get my water so I get my water there is like it's the most unnecessary thing not to mention like them being in in the aisles it it causes so much inconvenience of like going to the bathroom and here's why i don't like aisle seats all those things do is hit my knees i don't so i'm i'm a fan of this move get it off and i think that food should be done on a on a order basis you should order it order it on the airplane or order it ahead of time?
50:55I think that you should order it on the airplane if you want it. So they shouldn't walk down anymore. No pretzels. They serve either good food that you pay for or no food at all. You don't need to pay for it. You already paid$500 for your flight. But that's what I'm saying. I'm glad they're getting rid of this. No. And this little BS snacks. I'm down for them to do it differently. I don't know if that's you pre-order a Diet Coke and a bag of pretzels and it's sitting in your chair with like a nice little delta sack. I don't know if that's the move. And because I do agree that aisles get very congested and it is a lot of like riffraff happening, but I'm not down to get rid of it as a whole because a lot of times that's like your one thing you get.
51:36You get a Diet Coke for free. Pack a snack. No. Pack a snack. If you want a snack, pack it. No, because airport travel is like you were at a business meeting, then you were at an Uber, and then you got there, you didn't have time. Airport. Didn't have time. The airport. Hudson News. Convenience stores like the Hudson News of the world. They're dialed in. For a$12 like Starburst? No. No, they're great. No, the waters are like$8.99. They're great. Those buyers, they're dialed in. They got new innovative products. They got healthy stuff. They got the classics. Big fan. Shop flock at your local airport.
52:10Thank you. I just think that they need. Bless you, Rocky Bears. Bless you, Rocks. I do think that we need to have some kind of the airlines are giving us a treat. I'm a huge fan of this. I'm a huge fan of the cut. Also Spirit. Yeah, so RIP to Spirit. Did they just like stop? Apparently. Is this fake news or is this like a social media thing that they're doing? Is this real? No, it's real. Okay, Jules, what do we think about Elon Musk buying Spirit? Did he buy it? There's been some speculation. I would love to see what that man does with an airline. Well, I was going to say. Hate him or love him.
52:46It feels like you put that brain behind airline operations. You could have a lot of improved processes. Listen, I do think love him or hate him, he is one of the greatest minds of our generation. Like we are seeing what he's doing to space. We're seeing what he's doing to these cars. Let's get him into commercial air travel. Let's get him into commercial air travel and see what he does. because I think what's going to happen is we're going to have lightning speed airplanes, bigger, more fuel efficient. Like I do think he would do a lot of good. He can update the boarding situation. The seating dynamics.
53:23It would be end to end. I also need him to give us a six-door car, which we discussed the other day. That's the big thing. How we don't have a six-door car is one of the biggest misses in modern-day consumerism. Because how are families with four kids all in car seats doing it? Do you have two car seats in the back? And then how do you get the kid back there and get the kid in the car seat? Because we're already feeling this right now. We have a, even though our car has five seats, it's a four-seater. Because you can't use the middle seat because there's two car seats in it. And we just have two kids.
53:54And so we need a third row. And the problem with these third row cars is even getting to the third row when you have two car seats is a nightmare. And the third row sucks. How do you even go anywhere? Give us another set of doors. Jules isn't seeing it. No, I am seeing it. I'm seeing how have they not done that yet. Bananas. Like you have to have six doors. I don't understand how families with four kids are doing it. Five kids, six kids. Do they have a bus? Because a minivan doesn't solve the problem. Like you still have to go in the back seat and buckle in the kid. When you were little, did you ever go in one of those like hatchbacks that had the backwards facing seats?
54:33Yes, the station wagon facing back. It was my favorite car of all time. Yeah. We could just do that again. And honestly, you could utilize the trunk. That's a fine way to do it. It's just like it would take forever. The thought of a third kid and then a car seat, I'm like, what? I think that those Volvos stopped with that because it was really unsafe. Yeah, I would have to assume it was safety. Yeah. Well, I'm sure if you got rear-ended, it was a thing. Oh, God. That's a terrible thing. That's why with the third door, the third row of the door, plus an extended trunk space, you're still safe. Yeah, we're just, we're swinging.
55:04We are missing out here. and listen I don't I don't know how to do it I'm not going to design a car they've got to have them in China do they have them in China I'm looking yeah this feels like something that that's where they have your fancy vans right when I search six-door car it's just showing me a bunch of limousines not necessarily showing me cars well do the limousines have six doors some limousines do some definitely do they've got the two and then they've got the very far back one well that's four did we talk about this oh go ahead no go ahead i was gonna say did we talk about this hummer limousine did you get that as a prize for selling magazines i think this would blow harrison's mind i do think i did yes we did we talked briefly about like in school we would sell things like magazines or gift wrap or i don't know any amount of things but at my school when you sold like a certain amount of magazines you got to go in a hummer limo to cc's pizza and you would get a pizza party at cc's pizza but the hummer limo was like the big draw i'm very supportive of this do we lose my phone it doesn't even matter you don't even need it did you steal it no i remember yes jules i believe we also did the hummer we definitely did the pizza i think we did the hummer we gotta bring back hummer limos but i never could win me i could never win and i would try really hard and then lo and behold somebody else just kicked my butt yeah i would like to see where all the winners ended up like the guy that won in my class all the time like what's he doing now yeah i'm gonna say that you know guys i love my mom but like there's a piece of it it's so partially the parents that's very true so because some people where's that guy's mom now yeah the real question that's true because you know what i remember that a lot of kids would send it to work with their parents and they would pass it around the desks and then everyone would buy like a thing of wrapping paper yeah and that would be a whole oh i would always buy the chocolate It was great.
56:57The Kringles. We would have to like buy it ourselves because we would forget. Right. Exactly. I'm going to want to like, when Bubba gets into high school, I'm going to see how these things are being done. I see. And I think I'm going to want to like implement something at Austin High that's just different and a better way to do it. That's a long shot 15 year prediction. Well, I don't think it's high school. It's middle school. It was grade school. Middle school. If you felt stuck trying to lose weight, you're not alone. Enter Weight Loss by HERS. It's designed to support you in reaching your goals.

Okay, I'm going to segue us because I'm watching Jules drink her coffee with the marketing on it. And I'm not the marketing on the World Cup. I'm not the driver of the episode, but I did think about this yesterday because we're just watching so much stuff right now when you're in a newborn bubble.
58:47I want to watch the World Cup. I've never seen more advertisements for something that I don't know a lot about. Okay. And I got it. So I want to watch it this year. Okay. So what do you want to hear from me? How can I be helpful here? Well, I'm coming into it with little to no knowledge. So I'll hear anything from you. Have you been? Yes, I've been to the Brazil World Cup. Okay, that's cool. You've done so many cool things. It's a phenomenal event. I think that should I give the World Cup rundown if the teams were celebrities to kind of like to do a like for like? That would be very helpful for me.
59:25Okay. Perfect. So let's start off with France. Okay. So the World Cup, every country has a team. World Cup, you got to qualify for it. Okay. Okay. So you think of like Italy is like Johnny Depp. so at one point was super relevant oh my Pirates of the Caribbean but has now faded into abyss haven't heard from him forever that's Italy Italy didn't at once were one of the best now didn't even qualify for the World Cup wow yeah oh Pirates of the Caribbean he was like so hot so on fire and if you pull up Italy's World Cup performance during Pirates of the Caribbean they were on fire I'm sure very very good they faded into abyss okay so okay so Johnny Johnny's who who is this France Italy Italy Italy Italy's Johnny Depp.
1:00:12Got it. But let's go to France. France, one of the favorites. France are the Kardashians. Okay? And here's why the France are the Kardashians. Because you either love them, you hate them, and they're full of drama. Oh, and are they laughing all the way to the bank? And they're laughing all the way to the bank. Okay. So they won two World Cups ago. Okay. They've got a mega star. His name is Mbappe. Or Kim. Think of him as Kim. Yeah. Okay. and this guy he's out there doing everything like you're not supposed to do in soccer he's getting super political he's that's her she's getting political she's getting the mendez brother she's doing all the stuff he's stripping he's stripping the the captaincy away from someone acting um he like he carved out his own endorsement deal different from the rest of the team and France's drama has like it's gone on from 2006 when their captain they were in the World Cup finals headbutted someone on the other team and caused them to lose Zidane and now there's even drama about is Zidane going to be the next kind of I think coach or GM of them so long story short France Kim versus Taylor think of them as you read my mind Spain, Taylor Swift Oh.
1:01:32Okay. The other favorite in the World Cup. And the way to think about Spain is just end. They're almost like the heiress tour. Just end to end perfection. They're young. They do things the right way. They're not controversial. And like they're very much the Taylor Swift of it. So is the finals going to be the Kardashians versus Taylor? In theory, it should be. France versus Spain? In theory, it should be. They're the two favorites. Unless something happens. Okay. Okay, now we got to go to - Johnny Depp makes a comeback. Well, Johnny Depp's not in it. Right. But here's where we're at. So who's America?
1:02:07Okay. Who are we? America, Glenn Powell. And let me go here. New to the scene. Okay. Tons of talent. Dating Michelle Randolph. Tons of talent. Tons of buzz. Okay. But it's his time to prove it. It's the U.S.'s time to prove themselves. So this is their moment. this is their year okay interesting okay and i and the same way i think glenn is on a great path and is going to do it i think america's going to do it so you're giving it to glenn powell that's your guy okay that's what you're going to name america okay versus like on the other end we're going to portugal okay portugal is going to be leonardo dicaprio just a tried and true guy beautiful but at the end of their career so you're going to get some really nice moments Leo caught astray.
1:02:56That's Cristiano Ronaldo. You're going to get some really nice moments in Portugal. Like there's a long shot chance they make a run, but chances are that torch has been handed. I'd almost even give the U.S. to like a Timothee Chalamet. There we go. Yeah. That's better. Now you've got to go to England because England is a really unique one, and I would say England is Pete Davidson. and the reason why England's Pete Davidson is because they're always in the news and they're always being talked about but not for the reason that's their core job. Right, like separated from his baby mama. Right, like you hear all, I feel like - They are?
1:03:40Yeah, recently, apparently. I feel like all we, like we hear so much about Pete Davidson. They're taking a break. And who he's dating and - Well, he dated Kim. And Ariana. And Ariana, yeah. But when's the last time we heard about his art, his work? But what is he like? And that's England. Everyone talks about England. He's an actor. They talk about the storylines of the team. But the on-field performance, really never there. So the buzz is more than the play. Yeah. Okay. So two more. Mexico. Mexico's Adam Sandler. Okay? They're a beloved institution. They're going to show up every year. They've been in the World Cup 17 times.
1:04:18You know what you're going to get. They're going to give you a really solid performance. The critics are probably going to chirp them, but they're going to get to the round of 16. Tried and true. I would describe Adam Sandler as tried, true, solid.
1:04:37Then, ooh, do we finish it with Argentina or Brazil? They're two just... Give us both. Argentina, we're going Tom Brady. Wow. And here's why. So are they going to win? Well, they won last year. They won several World Cups. I believe they won three. But they're at the end. Oh. Yeah. So this is kind of that last hurrah. That last hurrah. They're probably too old. They're probably going to ride into the sunset. This is Tom and he still played football or this is Tom right now being a reporter? This is Tom Brady on the Bucs. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. But it's probably Tom Brady's last year with the Bucs. Okay.
1:05:17so so in the finals and they have messy who's many believe to be the goat a la tom i'm gonna push you to give me an actor here because tom throw me off like is it who's on their last hurrah acting i gotta stand by tom on this i think tom is is is our perfect okay perfect comparison okay okay okay fine okay and then we gotta go brazil brazil we are going with post NSYNC Justin Timberlake. Post NSYNC. Yeah. So 20 years ago, they were the best in the game. There was no other Justin Timberlake. There was no other Brazil. Okay. But in the past 5, 10 years, they just haven't been there. The vibes have been off.
1:06:07The hype and buzz will start to generate, but it ultimately never turns out to what it once used to be. you don't think jt's ever lived up to his to his instinct days not in recent years mirrors that's not recent years but you're but you're saying mirrors is from like 2018 but isn't he saying like he's never lived up to the instinct days i think he's just don't you think JT's career is better standing alone okay I I think you're right here because name the other guys I think you're right I think you're right but we don't know anything about him so JT made a name I'm kind of saying like JT like if you're to track JT's career it's going to highly correlate with with Brazil's success or lack thereof okay right and and so yes it started with the NSEC days and there was a ton of success following that.
1:07:09So maybe we go from like Pele to Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, but like his more recent appearances are very Neymar-esque. If you follow me there. Didn't he like do the Super Bowl? Neymar is like the new, Neymar was the next chosen Ronaldo. Oh. And he consistently underwhelmed, was always injured. actually didn't make the World Cup team this year. He did the Super Bowl, and that was like Janet Jackson's boob. Yes, that's right. And at that time, Brazil would have been very good at soccer. Yeah, but Justin Timmerlake just recently got a DUI. That's his vibe right now. Yeah, he was really funny. DUIs are not funny, but his recording was...
1:07:53I'm going to give you another Brazil. Hold on, I have to say something. DUIs are not funny, but his recording was slightly funny. And here's where I need to go on Brazil. if we want to give you a different one. Because let's say, because Brazil has so much raw talent. Do you know who Brazil could be? Raw talent. Let me think about this. Bieber. Who comes and goes. Bieber. They could be Bieber. Call Jules. So we may have a Bieber-Kochella moment from Brazil this year. And if we do, then that would mean they would win. Exactly. They would win. Yes. Not expected to win, but the raw talent is there.
1:08:27Should Alex have to pick her team now based on all of what she just learned? Yes, Jules, you are correct. I should have to do that. Okay. Do you want to get, I can't even give you, but yeah, sorry. Yeah, please. Well, I can pick my final four. I'll pick my top four. I know we just got to go. You're number one. Well, I hold on. Hold on. I think that the, I think, okay. All right, fine. I'm between Kardashian, Swift. I forgot an important piece on the Kardashians. Last world cup, one of their star players, Pogba, his brother, um, extorted him. So they're like, they're in the mix. He's got this France team.
1:09:00That's very like, yeah. I also saw something about a sex tape when I looked up in France. Yeah, these guys, they're like, and we don't know what's going to happen, but we can expect them to get in the mud. Well, Chris would be fine with that. I think, so I'm between, oh my gosh. I'm between Kardashian, Swift, Brady, and Bieber. And you know who I'm going to pick? I'm picking Bieber. You're going Brazil. I'm going Brazil. Okay. Who are you picking? You can't pick Brazil. Ooh, I love Brazil. I got to go America. I got to go America. I got to go Glenn Powell. And here's why. Here's why. Glenn Powell slash Timothee Chalamet.
1:09:42If America goes on a run, it will probably be the most fun that this country has had as a collective unit in decades. if we go into America 250 July 4th Wow. with the World Cup U.S. soccer team ripping Wow. It will just be a hell of a time. Summer 2026. So when do we start watching the games? June 11th. Okay, I'm watching. I'm watching. I'm in. Now, I want to make a, I want to make a, what are they called? Bracket with the star names that you just gave us. Okay. Okay. I can't wait. I need to. And I do need a hedge that everything that I've said here is meant to be very directional, not literal.
1:10:29Correct. People will love to correct you in the comments. Like, I'm not a – yeah. I'm trying to bring it all together. But I'm going to sign off the episode really quickly. Sorry. He just needs it to eat and I'm going to breastfeed. Okay. Love it. Bye, guys. I love you all. I'm picking Taylor Swift, if anyone was wondering. Okay. Good. Good. I mean, it's the safe bet. What? I don't have a mic. Who are you thinking? Well, you already said me. She said me. going to say glenn pal slash timothy chalamet um how often is the world cup every four years it um so maybe i just didn't care so much about marketing and paying attention to brands four years ago because i've never seen so much it's here this year oh that's the difference where i'm back i believe dallas and houston are are getting harrison and la and la let's go Vancouver and Mexico City.
1:11:21Hi. Yeah. So, okay. Do we have enough here? Or do you want me to keep ripping? Probably. I don't know. Anything. Okay. Well, I will say there's probably another six hours of stuff for us to talk through as I look through this. We got Q &A. We didn't get to one things we DMed. but that will keep things moving. And maybe, maybe Jules and Alex will let us drop a bonus episode. I'm down. Maybe.

This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, Alex is officially BACK (kind of… NO PRESSURE (and we talk about this mindset in the ep!)). We have lots of updates (recording 1 non-guest episode per week has been hard on us lol)… BUT we're recapping our first date night post-baby (iHeart Country Music Festival!!) and the thing we did beforehand that made me SO excited to go. Other "IRL" stuff we get into: Tate's dance recital (😩), group swim lessons & a feeding journey update (get this: NOT crying over spilled milk… who am I?!).
Then we get into week 3 with 2 under 2: our biggest mistake (starting a pool build with a newborn… we knew it was dumb, we did it anyway), what's been working well, and why stress levels feel SO much lower this time around. Plus, the Anne Hathaway clip about being tired that is living rent-free in my head (“I’m really into the reason that I’m tired”).
Then we get into YOUR most common Bickers of the Week, which spirals us into a handful of other topics: Harrison's HOT TAKE on Delta cutting beverage & snack service on short flights, RIP Spirit Airlines, and an open plea to car manufacturers: WHY don't 6-door cars exist?!
And finally, is anyone else seeing WORLD CUP 2026 marketing absolutely EVERYWHERE?! We're pumped to watch, but I needed help understanding what's what. Harrison explained the key players as celebrities (France = Kardashians, Spain = Taylor Swift, USA = Glen Powell (????), and more) plus our final picks for who's going to win 🏆
LOVE YOU GUYS!
