In short
IRL updates from “Two Parents in a Podcast” covering postpartum planning for baby #2, toddler milestones (pacifier removal, learning words), parenting tactics, health/fitness goals, and community involvement; plus a “bicker of the week” about manners and a sourdough/food discussion.
Guests
No external guests. The episode features the hosts Alex, Harrison, and Jules (and their children Tate and “Bubber,” plus Winnie mentioned).
Guest backgrounds (hosts)
Alex is pregnant with baby #2 and discusses postpartum recovery and feeding choices. Harrison is a fitness-focused dad who ran a High Rocks race. Jules co-hosts and shares toddler/pacifier and planning updates.
Key claims
Summer baby timing is argued to be easier (avoid hot pregnancy; postpartum activity in summer). For pacifier removal, giving the toddler autonomy (letting her place it in the crib) works better than direct removal. For introducing a toddler to a newborn, reverse the reassurance: tell the baby “we’re going to love your sister/brother.” “Where’s Jessica?” can distract toddlers when they want something.
Notable examples
Taco shop ordering story (no “please”); pacifier “mission impossible” standoff; High Rocks race strategy (slow first station to avoid heart-rate spike); mommy-and-me dance and tea fundraiser for Jeremiah programs.

0:40Okay. We're good. Okay. Alex, are you on your phone? I was posting a story. Perfect. Saying we're recording. And maybe, oh, Harrison's phone's in a great place. Harrison's phone is in a great place. You know, I have noticed. Maybe his Apple Watch. that my shorts that I've been wearing, those Elwood shorts that I love, they really hike up quite a bit when I record. So they may not be recording shorts anymore. It's good. I'm shocked that no one's commented. You see like my thigh, like almost up to my butt. They can't be commenting that. Yes, you can. That's grounds for cancellation. You couldn't comment on a woman's body.
1:20You can't comment on a man's. I can comment if a man is showing too much leg. I think I'm showing too much leg in those shorts. People comment that I'm showing too much belly and I want them all to be quiet. If I'm showing too much leg, I want to know that from everyone. Okay? But here's the thing. Commentators as well as the people in this room. It's commenters. Taters. He always calls them commentators. I want you to wear shorter shorts. I think you have pretty legs. I think you wear these low baggy shorts. My old shorts are very short. No, they're not. They're not very short. They're average.
1:54I'm happy with the length of these shorts. Yeah, your high rock shorts. Are those your high rock shorts? No, these are Lulu's. Okay, let's start. Ready? Are you ready? Mm-hmm. Okay. Welcome back to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast. I have to say I love recording the day that things drop. Because I just posted an Insta story and I'm like, we'll just talk to you around 4 p.m. today. So it's very IRL. Yeah, it really is. Harrison came from a workout class. He's on – you're just on a full health kick, yeah? Yeah, yeah. Is that accurate to say about you? I would say you're dialed in. I'm focused on getting in the best possible place health-wise that I can before the little guy comes.
2:34Must be nice, huh? No, I'm just kidding. I'm not. Yeah, I don't want to say that in a... No, with Tate, I really struggled with that. I was like, you're just getting in. And I don't know why. Like, I should have been applauding that for you. But instead, I was like, you can't get in such good shape because I'm just over here not getting in good shape. But what I'm doing is I'm walking every day and I feel a lot better than I did with her. So I'm happy. I'm also, I need to cheerlead you doing that because it's better for the family. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I definitely feel very supported right now as I'm like, went through the quest of trying to get back in shape.
3:12You are very supportive. And the first time around, I felt guilted when I would go and work out. Yeah. That's what I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to say. Am I allowed to say that? You are allowed to say that. And here's why. And I'm not mad that I felt guilted. I understood it. But that's, yeah, it just, it felt like, yeah. I felt so sick with Tate every single day that, yeah, I actually can't even justify why I was like that. That wasn't cool of me. It was actually postpartum, I think is what I'm referring to. And I've got to say on this note. Oh, I don't think so. Timing is such a blur. i was gonna ask you guys a question yeah because like with tate she was very her smallest like in the fall and winter and like i feel like it's a whole different ball game with the summer jules it's a whole different ball game i'm so excited i see comments of people saying the best time to have a baby is in the summer no the best time to have a baby i have a lot of conviction on this now is I think March or April because you have the baby and then you're not pregnant in the heat of summer, which is huge because being pregnant when it's really hot outside is the most miserable thing.
4:24It's the most measurable thing on the planet. But when you're in your third trimester during the cold months, it's great. Then you have the baby and you postpartum by the pool. And I think like you can go on walks and things and like every, and things are happy in the summer and then you know the vibe outside is great people are traveling people are off school so i love this trajectory and i just think as a person like you're able to stay more active like i just think the vibe is going to be so different between like not working out october to december versus like you're going to want to work out in april well i think that where things got specific where the where the like where I I felt guilty working out was like she had the the the stick like the crazy stitching and I don't know how much of it we've talked about on the podcast well we can do a little bit of recap of right now but she her physical recovery was significantly like it was extreme so let's do some things it's very hard first of all if you're listening more hard than normal i know they're all very hard okay okay so if you're listening um subscribe to the podcast which you guys are doing but a lot of you that listen aren't actually subscribed so we need you to subscribe like the video and okay i hate to do this i hate to do this what what's wrong with it you're not a pleaser oh and you know when i noticed it officially when i noticed it last night when we went for tacos harrison i recorded us ordering the tacos because i was going to do a talk or review with tate but then we got there and tate wasn't in the mood and so i didn't i didn't want to do that and and i recorded it i'm like wow she just placed her order and didn't say please because your behavior at the taco shop i i am shocked you want to do this i'm gonna put the video up they had to open up a second lane because you were sitting there asking so many questions i I was so mortified that I had to walk off.
6:28So you were so mortified you couldn't say please? No. I was asking her about the menu. I'm going to put up the video. They had to open up a second. A guy came over and saw the line getting so long that he had to open up a second line. This is your local taco shop. Everyone knows what they want. There's quesadillas, there's tacos, and there's burritos, and that's it. and I mean this man stood there and asked question after like you guys know how he is sometimes he's a little detail oriented I was so mortified that I just had to walk off but let me ask you this no did I want to be at the taco shop thank you so much for going to the yeah yeah so but but here's my question how are my manners they I have 10 out of 10 I have 10 You don't say please.
7:18But I have 10 out of 10 manners. On the subscribe component, there was no please. Guys, please. Please. Please subscribe. Am I crazy on this, Jules? Alex has really great manners. No, her manners are amazing. Her manners are amazing. She doesn't say please. You're not a pleaser. That's fine because you've got 10 out of 10 manners elsewhere. I agree. You have 10 out of 10 manners. I'm just like, I noticed you don't say please. You were with me recently where the waiter said you can stop saying thank you. I feel like a crazy person right now. I'm not talking about your manners. I'm talking about your manners.
7:54I'm not talking about your manners in general. I'm talking about please, even that dynamic where he said, and he absolutely said, you can stop saying thank you. He absolutely complimented you on how gracious you were being. That doesn't take away from the fact you don't say please. Okay, maybe I'm not good at saying please. I will try to add that to my - Does it matter? Like I always grew up with the understanding like that you needed to say please. Well, Bubber's – I mean Bubber is learning please. And you have Bubber say please all the time. We are saying please in our household. If my legs are in the way, like if I have my legs on a coffee table and Bubber's trying to get by, Alex would be like, do not move those legs until she says please.
8:39And she makes Bubber say please for me to move my legs. Well, I don't want Bubber to think she can come over and just be moving people's legs. because I'm a bummer to know. You got to say, please move your legs. Hold on. I want to do, I love sort of giving people an expectation off the top of what we're going to be talking about. And apparently we're going to be talking about my manners for five more minutes. And then what we're going to do, we're going to do a little bummer update. We've got the pacifier. We've got some milestones that she's up to in her life. We've got our Easter plans. We've got some things mom and dad, what Harrison and I have been up to, we're going to talk about.
9:15We have a lot of IRL updates. And then we have a bicker of the week. And so it's a fun episode. Here's the thing. Harrison emailed us this. It's called the Deathbed Regret List. And he was going through it last night and we were programming and he was like, too serious. So this is supposed to be an update, a light, a fun episode. And we also watched the first episode of Paradise. So we're going to talk about what we did. We're going to talk about so many things. I really like what you did right there. Thank you. What is it? please tell me i like that yeah i like that you brought the listener in on the programming which then leads to like the type of episode this is the mindset of this episode with the cutting the deathbed thing to hopefully bring it back to the next one and you guys imagine that level of detail ordering at the taco shop and that's why they had to that's why they had to open the second line.
10:12I gotta be honest. I thought the taco shop was a six out of 10. Carby comfort food is basically the meaning of life. But when it comes to counting your macros, sometimes two things can't be true at the same time. You can't have the bread you used to have and still meet your macros. And that's where hero bread comes into play. You guys, you would never know that it's zero to five net carbs and 11 to 32 grams of fiber just from the texture. You'd think, wow, no way. This tastes too good to be true. You get the soft, fluffy experience that you know and love, whether you're packing fresh wraps for everyday lunches or toasting up to 19 grams of a protein breakfast bagel.
10:57There's no compromises, you guys, just flavor. Zero to five net carbs, zero grams of sugar, and 11 to 32 grams of fiber. All of your favorite recipes are covered with heroes, bread sliced bread loaves, tortillas, bagels, and noodles. I'm telling you, this might seem too good to be true, but we have tried it and Harrison was obsessed with it before they came on the podcast. And then I tried it and let me tell you what, it truly is unbelievable. So Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order to our listeners. go to hero.co and use code two parents at checkout that's two parents at h-e-r-o dot c-o so okay we went to this please do not say the name i won't because i don't know it because neither of us can remember it but i thought it was a 10 out of 10 our friends referred us to this taco shop that they said was so good and we went last night and it was everything i wanted it was i don't want so much fanciness in my in my mexican food i just want a burrito it was a bean cheese rice and chicken burrito and it was perfect the and most importantly do you want to know most importantly that's your i felt good afterwards that's most important i ordered all four tacos on the menu we know one of the four was amazing the al pastor the other ones the steak was not good the chicken was not good and then the fourth was a hybrid where the pork bites were great and the steak plates weren't i felt like they just overcooked the chicken and the steak and i felt the steak was chewy oh my chicken was phenomenally cooked i think sometimes the pork was amazing though like if you just got the pork tacos i could see how you'd love it but the group chat was blowing up about how everyone like loved this place and i didn't want to be like the debbie downer no you gotta you gotta say your piece harrison you have to tell you to be honest you gotta be honest about how you feel about the food place as we go try i think please can be offset with how are you may i get thank you so much i feel like then sometimes i get may i please get very different i think hi how are you how's it going may i get the bean burrito with chicken And okay, amazing.
13:14Please. Thank you so much. Is better than can I please get the chicken burrito? I think that - Tone matters. I think tone matters. I think there's some other things you can wrap up in the present that matter. But I'm going to add saying please to the top of my brain. So Bubber says please in sign language. Because she can't say please quite yet. So she does this right here. It's a swipe across the chest. And thank you is a kiss. but she started cheating on the pleases have you noticed she's doing this if she yeah if she's like if she really wants something and you say say please you yes do it really really but if she's but like sometimes she'll know it depends her vibe but she smiles really big when she says the please bubber's in a really fun stage so one thing let's do the milestone of bubber right now so she's learned to say please she can say more words it's really fun we're starting to learn words like bye she can put words together now bye mama she put words together which is great when she puts a purse on she's not going anywhere because she can't open the door she'll start telling us both bye because she's got her purse on it is the cutest bye bye it's so cute i have a question what are we at risk for her being able to open the door before she can understand that She's not allowed to open the front door.
14:35Well, I don't know because we have a knob door and she can't do knobs yet. But if so, we'll just start locking it or we'll put a thing on it. It's easy. Yeah, but we should probably get ahead of that. Yeah, but we'll watch it. Yeah. Like Bubber's never downstairs near the door where one of us isn't. No, but she's quick. She is quick, but she can't haul it down our front steps. I mean, it's pretty cute. She runs to the front steps. that once she gets there, it's about two minutes for her to get down them all the way. So we do have a second, but one question that we did want to ask the audience, because we haven't researched it yet.
15:13I think we could make a tick talk and we could learn a lot about this. Um, because last night, for example, something that I learned from you all, I was reading all the comments about introducing, you know, a toddler to a newborn baby. And some of the comments I had seen before I didn't learn a lot, but the one thing I did learn was make sure to also tell the baby, I need to go love on your sister Tate. I'm going to go cook with Tate. Because we'll always be telling Tate, hey, honey, we have to go be with your brother for a second. But make sure to do the reverse of that so she knows we're sharing our time.
15:46And I thought that was a really good comment. So smart, so simple, but even though it's super simple, I don't know if I would have thought about it, especially being super intentional with it. Yeah, telling the baby boy like, hey, we're going to go hang out with your sister now. I love that. We've also started – what Harrison and I have started doing is making our schedule for when the baby does come, which is exciting. Like Tate and Winnie are going to be over at Winnie's house for maybe two weeks every day. And we're starting to figure out like where we want help, how we want to do our meals, things like that.
16:18What we're not doing, which is like really surprising me, like we haven't ordered the postpartum kit. we haven't it's just so second baby we haven't done his closet at all it's so funny we haven't ordered newborn diapers so friday is good friday correct it is and i think that i want to dedicate all of friday to house organizing okay i i did make a bit of an easter plan on at the end at at four or five o 'clock. Me and my mom. On Friday? Yes, me and my mom's group chat. We're going to do, we're either going to go see the Easter Bunny or we're going to have an Easter egg hunt. Very exciting. Yeah.
16:59I had an idea for Sunday brunch as well. Sunday brunch? What is it?
17:07I think that we should have a big brunch at our house. And I think we should like open it up and invite like a bunch of people. Love it. I would love to do that. Like not try and do like a, you know, four, six, eight, but just, hey, come on over. Anybody can come. Very neighborhood focused. So speaking of the neighborhood, we do have, I checked this morning online, we do have an Easter egg hunt at nine o 'clock on Saturday morning. We have to drop off eggs, 12, a dozen eggs filled by Friday. And the hunt is Sunday or Saturday? Saturday at 9 a.m. But Easter is Sunday. Correct. but last year they did the same thing because people go to church on Sunday morning and they go to brunch so I think they try to avoid doing the egg hunt that day.
17:52Okay, that makes a lot of sense. So we actually have an Easter-filled weekend. We've got Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. But I have sent you so many Easter recipes. They're not even recipes. It's like the body of the bunny is a banana and the ears are the grapes. I want you to make some of these. I want to get ahead of something. What? I'm planning on going to a new barbecue place on Friday. Okay. I'm telling you now in case any logistics need to happen. Okay. What time are we going? Sometime between probably 1230 and 230. Okay, great. I think that's good. Okay. I think that's really exciting. What's the barbecue joint?
18:25I can't find it. My phone's over there. That's good. It's so good that your phone's over there. But it's a bus. It's like an old broken down like school bus. Love that. Yeah. It looks really cool. You should take Bubber and you guys can see the wheels on the bus. Go round and round. The horn goes beep, beep, beep. I mean that song. I think that I don't think it's a I think it's a like a guy's thing. That's also nap time. Who are you going with? We'll get into that later. Well, when are we going to get into it? Tell us. Tell the class. Well, I don't know. How many guys are gone? How many? Two? Four?
18:58Well, I went for barbecue with two people on Friday and I really liked it. And I'm going to invite the two of them again. Two people on the street. Yeah. Yeah. He's going. You're going with street buddies. That's good. Let me just say this. OK, hold on. let's, let's go down my list here because I think we have a really good list of things that are happening. So we were on Tate's updates. Now she can say words, which is really cute. She's learning. So for example, I was getting my hair done at home on Sunday or on Saturday morning in the girl that does my hair's name is Katie. So we're like, where's dad?
19:28And she points to data. Where's mama? Where's Tate? And then we say, this is Katie. She can't say Katie. She was calling her Kiki. So we say, then where's Kiki, Kiki. And so she would walk around and she would leave and she would come back and she'd go Kiki. Like she knows people's name. She knows a little girl across the street's name now and she can remember it. So that's been a really fun development and she loves, sometimes she'll have just woken up and she'll be like, Tate. And we're like, yes, that is. Thank you for that, Bubber. You are Tate. So that's a really cute milestone that's happening for us at 18 months.
19:57I'm sure it happens for everybody at different times. And then the last one is Harrison gets a gold star for having Bubber's pacifier removal become a lot easier. So what did you do here? Tell us. I don't think this is rocket science. But I think it's cool that you did it. But, and I think I alluded to it on the last episode. Oh, the thing you were trying for seven days? Did I say that I was trying it? No, you dork. We were trying the other thing for seven days. What other? Oh, we don't, I don't know yet. I'm going to ask you Thursday. Okay. Oh, can we talk about it since you failed? Yes. No, because we're going to, it's weekdays.
20:34It's weekdays. So it's, it's literally Monday to Thursday. why you were gone it's monday to thursday it's because weekends you can't do it weekends you can't do it it's still in play okay i did it on thursday people are going to be confused so we got to move on yeah just on thursday we're going to have an update for something that alex and i it's more of an alex and i trying but it does relate to bubber and who's better at it you for sure alex is i'm really good for sure i'm pregnant with number two which means i know firsthand and figuring out your feeding journey can be stressful, both mentally and physically, which is why I decided to give myself grace the second time around, however it ends up going, which is why I love partnering with Bobby.
21:17And I'm so excited to partner with Bobby this time around because I'm giving myself options and I want a formula company that does the same. And the thing about Bobby, they offer parents free lactation support, expert led combo feeding classes to keep your milk supply going and high quality organic formulas you can trust without having to slow boat them over from Europe you guys whether you're combo feeding exclusively formula feeding or just want a backup for those just in case moments for me for example I was at a meeting one time I'll never forget the proper hotel and I had to go to the bathroom pump and uber the milk home and that would be an example of a time this time around where I'm not going to put so much pressure on myself.
21:59I'm just going to say, hey, let's use our Bobby at home. Bobby is our go-to trusted choice. All Bobby formulas are designed for easy digestion. They're molded after breast milk, and they're made with certified organic, non-GMO, pesticide-free ingredients you can feel good about putting in your baby's bottle. I love knowing that Bobby sweats every detail of the quality, every ingredient, every test, every can, so we as parents don't have to because we have so much to worry about, that this is one area where we can leave it to the experts, and Bobby is the expert. 24:41Yeah. And she picks up the BB right in her mouth. I'm like no, no, no, Tate. BB goes in the crib. And we probably had a three to four minute standoff. And I just, I wouldn't, I was just standing by the crib. I'm like, bubber. BB in the crib. Did she do it? Bye, bye, bye. BB in the crib. And I just kept putting my hand there. And then, yeah, after like three minutes, she that was a time where she didn't put it back in she put it in my hand not a big cry little noise and put it down and then she waved and it was it was smooth i don't know how interesting or boring that is i assume most people would find that story quite boring and and you know nothing crazy to it but it was it's been a very nice learning moment for us and i think how it all ties together is like what we've learned so much of is like when we bring her in on the process that makes things so much more effective versus like when we just draw a line and that that's when we have our challenges well i've even noticed like she eats more of her food when she gets to pick it she just loves because these toddlers at this age i read the other day like they think that the world just solely revolves around them right now you know And of course you do little things to let them know that that's not the way that it goes, but they can only comprehend so much.
26:10So I think meeting them halfway and saying, Hey, you get to put your pacifier in there. I'm not yanking it away from you. Gives them autonomy. And I do think it makes her feel proud. Yeah, totally. So I think it's really cute that you're doing that. And we were worried about our babysitter, Caroline, having her with the pacifier situation. And I made a tick talk about this, but she texted us. She said she just put the Patsy in there and waved at it because Caroline woke her up from her nap time. and she put her pacifier in her crib and she waved at it so i was just really proud that bubber gets it but i was gonna bring this up to you at some point i think she's spending more time in her crib because she gets like 10 more minutes with her passy which is fine i think this morning she was like tuning some like power passy sucks i said bubber i need the passy you know what would have made it take give you the passy faster what if you said please wow jules you do that whole story without saying please okay so guess guess what jules what i'm gonna pull up the nana footage and i guarantee i said please okay i guarantee because i talked to her when i talk i i say please i also the way to get it out right is shoes but her shoes i trade her the passy for shoes because if you give her shoes then she knows she goes outside so okay i'm so glad you said that because i didn't want to forget this um one question we were at like we were talking about tantrums right i was like we are at that phase and for example whenever we were done with the mini shopping cart she started tantruming and she was like i want the mini shopping cart and they don't last very long but the most liked comment was TikTok taught me you're supposed to say where's Jessica I saw this but I didn't understand it I tried to research it I couldn't find anything but then I was reading the comments below it and basically you just say where's Jessica and it just like confuses them and then they start looking for some random person named Jessica and a lot of people people were commenting saying I tried that and it worked so I think we're just gonna try next time Like she says that about something.
28:22Where's Jessica? Donde sta Jessica. We can just look for like the imaginary Jessica. Okay. We'll try it. I thought it was really funny. It is really funny. Um, okay. Harrison did a high rocks race and this is where he went last week. Obviously we talked about this. And so he went, we didn't say when he went because we don't ever tell you when he's gone. He went Wednesday night and you did the race on Thursday. And I was very nervous because I wanted you to finish the race and I wanted you to like enjoy yourself and be proud of yourself and you called me afterwards and you were just on cloud nine this is true like you and then you put he posted on his instagram the photos that the high rocks had sent him yesterday and they were there's such good photos you're smiling from ear to ear i didn't realize how big of a thing high rocks was we were looking up his next race last night they're in dubai london i mean they're it's global yeah so they They have races in 30 countries, 85 cities.
29:19So 85 races a year and 650 ,000 racers will participate this year. That's crazy. So it, High Rocks, it's not a niche thing. It's very much like what they've done is they've taken CrossFit and they've made it more attainable for the everyday person or athlete. And you did really good. So Harrison is something about him. You are detail-oriented, goal-oriented. So the night before, you wrote down your goals and you studied how you wanted to approach the race. Tell us about that. So I wasn't in as good a shape as I would have liked going into the race. And so my mindset – and it's something my dad taught me because my dad has done a bunch of different marathons.
30:09He's done marathons in every continent. Not Antarctica, right? Uh, so the Antarctica one isn't tech, isn't a major. And so he's done all the majors. Cool. Uh, but for Antarctica and this is, I, I don't want to get in trouble for now sharing something new on the pod. So his plan for a 70th birthday is for our family to run Antarctica together. They have a marathon there. Yes. There's an Antarctica marathon. It's not a major marathon though. So that's the plan for 70th That is so cool I've been meaning to talk to you about that I'm down I don't think I'll ever have a chance to go to Antarctica How do you fly there?
30:53I think you fly from Argentina But I'm not entirely sure Is Bubba going to go? I should have to That is so cool Bubba in Antarctica We'll have like three kids by then Yeah, close, around, hopefully um so so long story short like i've learned the importance of having a race strategy from my dad and it's very common but i learned it from my dad and especially important when you're not in phenomenal shape okay and so went to tiktok and there are just a couple really great high rocks education pages and they called out a couple of like massive mistakes that the athletes make when the race is going on.
31:39So the first one is people burn out after the first station. So the whole goal of High Rocks is you want to pace yourself and you don't want to shock your heart rate. Okay, can you explain? You run... Okay, good call. So there's eight stations. In between each station, you run a kilometer. People don't know what a kilometer is, 0.7 miles. 0.7 miles. So you run a total of five miles and then do eight stations. Station one is a skier. Station two is you pull a sled. Station three is you push a sled. Station four is burpee jump. Station five is rowing. Station six is farmer's carry. Station seven is weighted lunges.
32:18And station eight is 100 wall balls. And there's somebody there measuring when you're doing lunges at your knees touching the ground. Yeah. And if you mess up on anything, they have penalties. Right. So if on the sled pull, you go past the line and pulling, it's a penalty. And so on and so forth. So there were a couple stations where racers really could blow themselves up. The first one being the first station, which is the SkiErg. And the whole goal is you don't want to shock your heart. So you want to pace yourself and you don't want to spike your heart rate. And the SkiErg has the potential to do that.
32:55So I was like, all right, out of the gates, go super, super, super slow on the SkiErg. So there's a hilarious photo. So on my day, I came 161st out of 677 racers, I believe. Which is really good for not being in shape. I mean, you're in great shape. But I'm not in great shape. I'm in solid shape. Some of these guys in these photos look like The Rock. Well, I think I was in the worst 10 % shape of the racers there. And to place where you did is really good. That just gives you a strategy. So I think I placed way better than my fitness, if that makes sense. It does make sense, but that's because you had a strategy.
33:31I've never seen people that looked more athletic in my life than these racers. like at a marathon you when you look at a marathon runner you don't think like that's an athlete right when you go to high rocks it's like you look at these people's like holy shit you guys look like athletes they were jacked men and women yeah um and so i was in 611th place out of 677 after the first station wow and there's a photo of me on the skier i'm literally the last person on like I'm one of there's no one else in the photos on the Scarecrow I'm like in my heat I was actually dead last good um you're playing the long game but exactly I was playing the long game and then I just got faster and faster and faster and they got more tired more tired more tired and I yeah I felt really good um and didn't didn't really struggle with I think my time can be a lot better so I did an hour 23 minutes and the world record is 52 minutes yes albeit that's world record pro so the weights are a little heavier but the person who won our race i think was 58 minutes um okay but i think i can do a lot i think i can do a lot better than the hour 23 or 56 minutes i think the most important thing was can we check that i don't want to be like saying the wrong the wrong times i think whatever if i did just i was gonna say just don't we don't have to check it just he's just directionally that should all be right yeah he's not saying this for sure he's just trying to remember um i think the coolest thing about it is your goal before baby number like you you set your goal in january and we're almost to april and you hit your goal so i'm really proud of you yeah i wanted to and this race was symbolic of that and bigger picture like i loved it the energy was amazing just thousands and thousands of of racers were there and i i want to do more of them i want to do them more solo so i did a solo but you can do them as a group you can do them as so they have uh the men's open the woman's open the men's pro the woman's pro and then they have doubles and then they have doubles uh like doubles men doubles woman and then what's it called when you do two like different sexes like doubles men and woman where one's a man one's so alex is gonna do it i want to do one yes i'll need like a bit but i would love to but i want to do i don't want to do the problem is you i would have to run and i'm not a good long distance runner but it would be okay i could do it but yeah totally but you're so you're running five miles or you're running five miles collectively in between the stations collectively so you would be good at that 0.7 at a time you could do that i could do i could do it But yeah, so I want to do one because I just I loved like you were so happy afterwards.

I do want to clarify when I said those things. So there's you have the Thursday race, the Friday race, the Saturday race, the Sunday race. So I only looked at the rankings after the Thursday race. I don't think people are going to be. Okay. I just don't want to feel mis... You're not misleading. It's okay. Sub 60 minutes is like considered elite. That's what the internet says. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. I think that...
37:53Checks out. So anyways, we're on the High Rocks train over here in Harrison. Loved it. I think it exceeded your expectations. It's safe to say. So last thing I got to say on this health situation. I've historically read that one of the best ways to get in shape is to be public about your intent to get in shape. So tell your friends. And I'm actually very appreciative to this podcast because I put it out there. I felt an added element of responsibility to keep with it. How do you think that your health journey is going to fare when baby number two comes?
38:39I'm accepting that it's going to take a massive step back, especially because I know that your recovery is way more important than my situation. And so I think part of why I've been so focused on getting in shape for baby two was knowing how the dynamic changes when he comes. I don't think it's going to be as drastic. Like when Tate came, I felt like we didn't know what to expect. we I wasn't sleeping at night so then Harrison had the full day shift which means he couldn't really you can't really work out so neither of us were doing any type of fitness at all until three months we started going to berries together three or four months but I think with number two we know what to expect more we're gonna have family help more like um organized family help we're gonna like make a schedule and we're gonna have the night nurse who's gonna be living with us so I think we're gonna have more hands on deck I don't think your health journey is gonna like totally plummet but we'll see it's not a priority the most important thing is you and the babies but i think like i i don't i don't want to get into a habit of like get in shape have a baby get out of shape like and if i would love for that not to be the case but if that's our reality then that's our reality for me my goal is to hopefully level up with each pregnancy this one was significantly better than tate like i felt better you know still tough though but i felt better.
40:04I felt better than I did with her. Um, okay. So speaking of goals, I had a goal at the beginning of the year too, which was get involved with the community. Can I give you your flowers? No, I, and I just give them to myself. Okay. I was proud of myself because I did follow through with it. And we had, we had a mommy and me dance class. It's a dance and tea. It was mommy and me dance and tea on Friday. And it was so much fun. If you have, it's a great idea for a birthday party. Like in your city, if you have a dance studio and they happen to do tea birthday parties, I would do it. Number one, it was so cute.
40:42Number two, the kids had fun and the moms had fun because what you do is you dance at the beginning. And by dance, it's like they give you shakers, like little eggs that have shakers in it and you do streamers. Then you break for tea and then you go back in and you do obstacle course. And it was just so fun. They do a really a job of like not losing the kids attention, but it was really fun. And all 100, because Hello Dancer here in Austin donated the entire class, 100 % of the ticket sales were able to go to the Jeremiah programs, Mother's Day initiative, which is just like incredible. So now me and my friends, Lexi and Caitlin, who are, who are kind of doing this Mother's Day initiative together, we're going to buy gift cards for the moms and they get a Mother's Day present because at the jeremiah program the way that they're all single moms it you it kind of poses the question who gets them a mother's day present so we do amazing amazing uh one on on the initiative too as you alluded to like at the end of the year you talked about how you wanted to get more involved in the community i loved it that you actually did it and it's unbelievable that you did it nine months pregnant.
41:49I dropped by the event. It looked phenomenal. So cute. The thing that like kind of jumped out to me on the dynamic of success for it is I feel like when you're raising money for something, like the core difference between, hey, I'm raising money for it. Can you donate versus, hey, I'm raising money for something. We're going to provide a service in return is such a different dynamic. And so being able to go to all the moms and say, hey, we're doing this. If you buy a ticket, you donate, but you also get to bring your kid to a dance class. It's just like a much more win-win scenario than just like asking for money.
42:38Yeah, and the tickets were$75. But that's what April, who owns Hello Dancer, she said that's – sometimes they throw these tea dance parties. That's what she sells them for. She's like, that's what I – or that's what she'll charge per head. Yeah. So that was the ticket price. People were happy to pay it because, number one, the class was really fun. It was an hour and a half. Like, your kid was fed. The kids – she had goodie bags. We had a little, like, animal to take away. Like, you really got a bang for your buck. And then April's the real key component here because she donated the whole thing.
43:10So she paid for her instructors like she did it all. Yeah. You need a lot of moving parts to make it happen. Like an amazing donator like April. She was a single mom. So when I called her and explained the Jeremiah program to her, she's now married to Thomas, who I know was a listener. She said, I was a single mom back in the day for a period of time. And so I really understand how much of a struggle it can be. So that was what got her. They need the you of the world to go and then bring the people in. But I loved, and you know what I loved about April even more? You know, I always say how you do anything is how you do everything.
43:48She went above and beyond for this class. Well, the tables with all the sandwiches on it were so well decorated. She had a backdrop. She had her staff there. They were dressed. They were early. Like she, I was like, you put your best foot forward for this. So I really appreciated it. Bubber had a special outfit with Winnie. Bubber and Winnie had matching outfits, yes. Who bought those? My friend Lexi. She brought them. They're swimsuits from Target. They are adorable. Oh my goodness. I can't believe that that wasn't you or neighbor M. What are Tate and Winnie going to try next? Little swim lessons.
44:26So they're going to try swim lessons and I would like to get them into music class. Because they love music. so I think music that's oh no I think actually what I think will be next is gymnastics they're just not old enough yet oh but I think they will love the balance beam because dance class has like a little bit of the balance beam aspect to it but I think they'd love it bubber and winnie and gymnastics on a trampoline they go I will die I will die so these are like this year this year I tried to find a summer camp for them there's not really one because they're not potty trained so that's why we're doing swim lessons this summer um also i think i saw this reel and it said you get one summer with a newborn three summers with a toddler four summer like it's like you don't get that many they grow so fast so that really resonated with me but this will be our last summer where bubba won't be like super busy so we can travel some if we want like we should also enjoy this beach what i think we're gonna do newport beach for one to two weeks yeah we want to do like we want to go somewhere for one to two weeks and do like some postpartum hang out because then you know how it goes we're gonna get into camps we're gonna get into schedules we're gonna get into soccer practice and we're gonna like be here so you got to take advantage of this while you can yeah i was talking to our friend who we were discussing europe with yesterday and i just i don't think europe's gonna happen well we'll see it just feels like such like mayhem i don't know a part of me might make the case that i was pregnant then i breastfed for a year and then i was pregnant again and i want you to take me to europe i might kids or no kids i don't know if you want to go we're going just so we're very clear about that i might also i did request my push present i made a formal request that can be done i would like my ring reset as the push present harrison's gonna take full ownership of it i sent him i posted my ring I want like a thick gold band.
46:23So he's going to do the setting of that for the push present. Okay. We have so much more to talk about than this sourdough update. Somebody asked on Spotify what's going on with sourdough. I nailed the sourdough recipe. My neighbor gave me her starter because I needed to start over. It's a wheat rye bread. It's so good. But then somebody commented on TikTok like the sourdough community. She's like, this isn't really hot. Like, you know what? Let me just find it. Anyone who's a parent knows the feeding decisions aren't a one-time thing. You make them again and again, stage after stage, which is why we love Little Spoon because they are with you every step of the way.
47:06And too often, the options out there, you guys, whether you're feeding a baby, a toddler, or a big kid, they just don't meet the standards you want for your child. And the more we learn about nutrition, the more important this becomes. Parents are constantly asked to compromise on ingredients, nutrition, transparency, and even safety. And it really makes you wonder, why does it feel like there are more high-quality food options out there for dogs than there are for kids, which is not the ideal. We love dogs, but we want our kids to be able to eat good, too. So here's where Littlespoon comes into play and why we love it.
47:39At the baby stage, they support babies from the very first feed with baby cereal and baby blends when solids begins. Then the toddler stage. Their biteables are cut to size. Let me tell you, you spend a lot of time chopping up that food, but Little Spoon does it for you. All baby and toddler recipes are tested for 500-plus contaminants, including heavy metals. And they're perfect for the teething years when gums are sore and soft because textures then, they're everything. And then there's the big kid stage. And its appetites grow, so do opinions. And guess what? So does Little Spoon. The plates are heat and eat meals because when your kid is hungry, you need food right then.
48:19And that's the best part about Little Spoon because the food's ready to go. And their lunchers are nostalgic, better for you versions of the classics that we grew up with. They also have snacks, things smoothies and yoga snack pouches that are the absolute best because snacks are such a big part of our life. So feeding the kids doesn't have to be complicated. Little Spoon makes it easy with real nutritionally balanced meals and snacks designed for every stage. It shows up ready to go, takes the pressure off, and somehow still gets devoured, veggies and all. No artificial dyes, flavors, or sweeteners either.
48:52And you know what? That's a win we'll take every time. Get 30 % off your first order at littlespoon.com slash 2Parents with code 2Parents. That's L-I-T-T-L-E-S-P-O-O-N.com slash 2Parents with code 2Parents for 30 % off your first order. Okay. Maggie at Mags 26 Aries INFP. Why are we still not bulk fermenting? Let it sit out on the counter after the stretch and bolts until it doubles in size and the dough is jiggly. Then in all caps, shape it and put it in the fridge to cold proof overnight. The entire point of sourdough starter is to give it time to eat enough to eat through the flour, which produces the gas, which makes your dough rise.
49:36This is where it gets me. Might as well just throw a packet of dry yeast in there if you're not going to let the starter do its job. It's like a day and a half process, babe. It's not a mix it and throw it in the oven kind of thing. I think I may have to defend this lady. I spent nine hours on the bread. Okay. Why are you defending Maggie? First of all, your tone. Her tone, babe. Yeah, passive aggressively using the word babe is just like the worst thing ever. It's like a day and a half process, babe. It's not a mix-in, throw-it-in-the-oven kind of thing. Maggie, number one, tone. You had like three different outfits on.
50:14It was clear that it was many days. No, it was nine hours. Or many hours, sorry. Maybe it was longer than that. But there seems to be an art to this. It was 11 hours! There seems to be an art to this. And so I agree the tone was off. But like, if you're supposed to be overnighting it, should you not be overnighting it what did the recipe call for i fed this starter the night before so i did the recipe there's two different ways you can do the recipe there's a million different ways you can make sourdough i wanted to try and do it all throughout the day so i didn't let it sit in the fridge overnight but i did let it sit in the fridge for four and a half hours and my bread still tasted wonderful so correct i did cut the corner of the overnight rising situation but your message is only as loud as it can be heard Maggie
51:07attempt I was tempted to block her because I do I'm from the school thought that anybody can block anybody online I just think I just think the way that it was written was very mean I agree I don't babe I agree no might as well throw a packet of dry yeast in there if you're not going to let the starter do its job
51:29so you're on maggie's side here we go i'm not on her side ak grisham 22 she comes in you're the best haha your bread looks yummy and it would be even yummier if it got to rest for longer thank you okay okay i'm down no i agree i agree the tone i don't i i just what i was trying to get up before was like there seems to be an art to this and people seem to have a lot of expertise and so you know accepting the tips i think is is helpful but needs to be done explained in the right way jill ellen sourdough maker here your technique gives me a little anxiety but great job sourdough has very few rules and you ate the important ones jill thank you that was nice thank you jill and and like here's the thing too we ended up taking the pacifier we ended up taking our child's pacifier because somebody wrote in a comment that was so nice like you people have to remember online we haven't met so would you walk up to me on the screen like babe you're doing your sourdough wrong or would you be like adorable glad it tastes good couple things you could maybe adjust so much more likely I would never type that much that mags commented um all right off Sourdough.
52:50Are you going to ever make sourdough? I think that you've done such a great job. There's no need for me to get in the mix. In theory, I love the idea of it, but it very much feels like your thing and you're crushing it. I do want to say something back to Mags also. I want to be an active participant of the sourdough community and I want to do things the right way. I just think when it comes to online behavior, we could write things a little bit nicer. because i i agree we could we could let it i liked a.k. grisham's response i could let it rise longer and it would taste even better correct but again i think the way we're it was a little passive aggressive on the tone seeing your seeing your sourdough process gives me anxiety it was pretty pretty hilarious there's a couple rules you must do and you ace it like that was really cute jill i think arison should own the discard recipes totally agree jules the croutons the crackers the pancakes oh yeah and i'm yeah i'm starting to eat more carbs correct because you you are the classic carbs make me tired no carbs but actually that makes you more tired carbs are energy it's the right carbs yeah and sourdough key for me sourdough is part of that family does not make me sleepy yeah right like some good rices some good lentils some healthy carbs are really good for you.
54:14Um, all right. We went to speaking of, we had a sourdough waffle yesterday at brunch because we went to brunch with, there's two girls, Sammy and Courtney that are, were due like within a week and a half, two weeks of each other. And we went to, we went to brunch with the boys and it was like very fun. You probably saw, I posted some things on my stories. I love going to eat with my content creator friends. Cause I made a joke at one point. I was like, I'm not even going to pull out my phone because like, they're so much better at it than I am. I was like, just tag me. I'll just repost it. And they take so much like such better photos and it's like more aesthetic.
54:48And I just like love them so much. And we have a group, I have a group chat with them, but it goes to show being pregnant with friends. Number one, it bonds you, right? Like I wasn't that close with these two beforehand. And then we all announce our pregnancies and it's just like, you're in the exact same stage of life as something like the exact same stage of life as somebody. And you're talking about like, what are you guys doing postpartum? How long are you going on maternity leave? That's a big one with them because they both work. Um, you know, what were the other, like, what are things? Unisom, like, are you getting a night nurse or did you get a scan?
55:24How much did your baby wait? Like there's endless things you can talk about in a group text with these girls, which is really fun. And then we were talking about after you have the babies to play dates, you just set all the babies on like a little mat and they they roll around together like it's going to be really cute it's crazy how it's crazy how having kids and being pregnant at the same time can bond you with somebody
55:53absolutely um i had a really nice time at brunch what was the first thing i was thinking but the second thing is again it's so funny when you look back at like okay how's our friend group come together over the past year and a half two years and how much of that has been dictated by kids and the current phase of life right and now kind of going through that and it's really it's really amazing because there's all these new people that are incredible that come into your lives that may have that may have been there but not in uh um not in a super close way beforehand And so I'm really excited for the friends that we currently have that I know the relationships are going to get a lot closer.
56:40And then also beyond that, the new friends that we haven't even met yet who will meet because we're on the same timeline and going through the same facet of life. Totally. I also think this is just a very fun. Because our Fridays for the next three months are at someone's house with the kids all in an area. And that's really fun if your kids are sitting in that area and it's really boring if like your kids are either at a different age or you don't have kids. And so like, yeah, I think leaning into where we're at and embracing that and I'm pumped about it. It's also crazy. We're due obviously like one of us is due first, second and third.
57:27And it's crazy to think if you have a friend that's due 15 days before you, but you have your baby first, although their baby is technically older, your baby could be older. And we were sitting there saying yesterday at brunch, none of us know our due date. We just know our birthdays. So if somebody came four weeks early, none of us know that. We just know when we were actually born. Yeah. And so it's so funny because right now it matters so much. When are you due? How old is your baby? How many weeks along are you? But then we're all born and it's like that's actually when it starts. Yeah. One statistic I'd love to see is I think there's like a stat that shows NHL players in the month they're born and like the most common month that NHL players are born is January.
58:12This is in the tipping point by Simon Sinek. Is that it? Yeah. What I'd love to know, and I assume the study doesn't exist, but is there any correlation between professional athletes or whatever level of success? And if you were born before your due date or after your due date? I bet not. There's more of a correlation though with – there is something with – it's in the book. Like, does it matter whether that last four weeks of development is happening in the belly or out of the belly? I don't know. But do you know why the hockey players are born in the early months? Oh, yes, because then they're older for their grade.
58:55Yeah. Yeah. It's about cutoff times. But where that whole theory gets turned upside down is now the cutoff is in September. No, for Hockey League, January 1st is the cutoff. That's why I think it's like niche to hockey. Oh, okay. Or else this would be like all sports. You know when you want something warm, cozy, and comforting after a long day? That's when we turn to Goodles in our household. It's all the nostalgia of mac and cheese that you grew up with, but with ingredients that make you feel good, you guys. Goodles has Chetty Mac, Shella Good, Twist My Parm, Here Comes the Trouble, and they're all so delicious and their branding is cute.
59:38Like we go to the store and Tate always goes over and points at their branding. Every serving of Goodall's mac and cheese has protein, fiber with prebiotics, and vitamin and minerals from real plant sources. Almost all Goodall products are low glycemic index, so you get steady energy instead of a carb crash, which has been amazing for me having the prediabetes because this stuff you can still eat and all I crave is just like comfort food just like this. There's something for everyone with amazing variety of flavors, including vegan and gluten-free options. So if you're dairy-free, Goodles has something for you.
1:00:13It's time to get some Goodles for yourself. I know you'll love them as much as we do. Pick up Goodles mac and cheese and pasta on your next shopping trip. Available nationwide at Target and Walmart, plus many other major grocery stores and retailers. Okay, we're going to go to our bicker of the week. This is one we're not a house divided on, we agree. but I saw it online and I thought, okay, it's an interesting topic. If you bail on a trip, do you still pay? For example, you bail close to the time. So let's say there's four girls going on a trip and you're splitting two hotel rooms and everybody knows what they're paying and flights are booked.
1:00:47And then the week before one girl has to bail. Do you still pay your portion? We say absolutely. Yes. Well, I want to, I want to provide some, some details on this. you pay your share the minute the hotel is booked the minute accommodations booked okay if you bail before accommodations booked you don't pay your share so if let's say four people are going on a trip and the hotel is booked then you owe 25 of of whatever that accommodation is but if you bail before it's booked, then it's on them to readjust the accommodation. Right. Right? They can, instead of doing two rooms, do one room and maybe get the room to be larger or do an Airbnb or whatever it is.
1:01:38So then it goes to the, one, I want to hear your thoughts on that. But then two, I think the second question is, at what point is it appropriate to bail on a trip without it being rude? I agree. I think if you bail, of course, if things are booked, you have to still, you have to pay your part. Yeah. Because in this scenario, you're bailing the week or two before. And I don't think it's fair to like just stick a friend with the tab. But I think it's okay to back out before anything's booked. Yeah. And so that's also the double dynamic is it's not rude if you're bailing before it's booked. It's rude if you're bailing after everything's been booked.
1:02:14Yeah, I agree. Correct. And in the delineation of being booked, the definition is either accommodation or flights. Right. And one person booking. Yeah. Anybody's booked. Because it's tough. Restaurants, that does not qualify. If you book the restaurant reservations, but you haven't booked the hotel or the flights, doesn't count. But it's tough if people think I'm going to owe$400 for the trip and then boom, they're stuck with$650. I don't think that's fair. Yeah. You know, so I do think, I do think that that's okay. So we agree on that. That's a very easy one. Yeah. Does anyone not agree on that?
1:02:50On this video, people, I can't remember who made the video. People were like, it was 70, 30. Oh yeah. And I thought that was like a little crazy. Um, okay. And that's, that's it guys. We will talk to you on Thursday. Oh my gosh. Paradise. Yes. Paradise. That's not it. Okay. So we watched the first episode last night. Okay. Hold on. Before we get into this, I want to, I want to. clarify some ground rules okay when we talk about tv shows are we are we going to be a spoiler are we gonna do spoilers like is this something that we're going to talk about under the assumption that you've seen the episode yeah i think so or else it's boring okay all right so episode one um so the thing about paradise is the second season just came out so people are talking about it again we had never seen the first season so we're starting from scratch we just watched the first episode this is the first time that i've watched something without knowing remotely what it was about i thought it was a reality tv show then we started it and i quickly learned this is not a reality tv show the first episode was amazing yeah so i have a hilarious kind of side plot story is one of my tiktoks i'm on a bunch of different tiktoks is like i'm on movie slash show tiktok where I get snippets of movies and shows.
1:04:07Do you guys get this? Yes. But the algorithm is, they used to be great where like you could do part one, part two, part three, and like I would watch full shows and movies on TikTok. Now you're only getting a snippet of them. You watched the WeWork documentary on TikTok. Yes. But now you only get a snippet of them because I think it's all being done by AI and so you can't actually watch anything. I saw the snippet of him finding the president dead. And I was just like, wow, this show looks incredible and I had no idea what show it was and I like hit the comments no one clarified and went to the camp wasn't there so it was like a huge joy of relief for me if that's the right saying when I like so I'm like oh my god I've been I've been wanting to watch this show and so it's great it's good so overall I love the first episode why don't you go first and then I can add into it well I'll say this what I thought I was watching the only thing I had to say about it what i thought i was watching for the first 80 of the show was just a regular guy i thought they were maybe in montecito guarding the president's you know like the president had obviously retired and then this is bodyguard i did not realize we were living in a mountain underground of colorado until the last three minutes which now changed what i think i'm going to be watching this season like now i understand paradise is its own little community that changes everything for me it's a plot twist yeah which i would have known if i had seen a commercial yeah so i i love i'm i'm in no previews no trailers type of person i want to know nothing going into the show number one number two i love that we got the twist early on okay it's great well late very late in the first episode but early on in the season season number two the or number three, the key to a good TV show for me is believability.
1:05:57And the way they set up the first episode, incredibly believable. Where they will lose me is if it gets unbelievable. If an alien comes in. Exactly. Right. And I do believe in aliens. I do believe in aliens. I just don't want to like, I can really get comfortable with the way they've drawn this thing up so far. Same. I'm excited. I need to think it could happen in our lifetime. And I don't think we're dealing with this whole alien situation in our lifetime in a meaningful way. However, we've lived through COVID and we've lived through Waymo. So I'm starting to think anything can happen. Yes. I think we're going to live through flying cars, but all that to say, like the other day I was yesterday, I was walking to the park and there was three Waymo's on our street.
1:06:44That was it. There was no other cars. And I was like, this is crazy. Like those are all self-driving. And I wave at every car that walks by with my manners. And when Waymos go by, I don't wave. That's rude. Well, I just think it's a real load off to not have to wave. They're just like, who is this lady not waving at us? No, I just look at them and I think, oh, look at that. No waving. Okay. So. So what are you doing? We're going to wrap up here. We're going to wrap up. You're making some notes. Harrison's making some notes. Okay. So that's our thing on Paradise. how many episodes is the first season?
1:07:168, 10, 12? I don't even want to know this. Okay, great. Because I here's why I don't even like to know how many episodes are in a season because if you know it's episode if you know it's 8 you're waiting for some big conclusion in the 8th episode. Okay. Okay, I'm good with that. Great. We don't know and we don't need to know. Alright, we love you guys. Thank you for listening and by Thursday we'll at least have watched one more. Thank you for listening. Thanks for listening to another episode of Two Parents in a Podcast powered by Just Media House. From the publisher
This week on Two Parents & A Podcast, we’re talking parent friends (because there really is something so nice about having people in the exact same season of life as you), and how we’re starting to think through postpartum planning for baby #2 (think family visits, meal prep, time off, etc. and all the little logistics we probably should have done by now but… SECOND BABY!).
We also get into our Easter weekend plans, the surprisingly effective tip helping us wean Tate off the pacifier, and whether “Where’s Jessica?!” is actually the toddler tantrum hack of the century (HAVE YOU GUYS HEARD OF THIS?!).
Plus, Harrison recaps his HYROX race strategy, we debate whether sharing your fitness goals out loud is motivating or mildly embarrassing, and recap Tate’s Mommy & Me Dance + Tea (which was extremely cute, obviously, and for SUCH a good cause).
Then we get into a little sourdough update, Bicker of the Week on when it’s acceptable to drop out of a group trip, and our latest TV thoughts on Paradise (THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE REC!).
LOVE YOU GUYS!
