In short
The Friday Club banter focuses on a lads’ weekend and a wedding aftermath, then pivots into multiple “sensational tales” (cheating revenge, a student bargain prostitution story, and a drunken incident at a retirement home), plus recurring “bin” debates about food and behavior.
Guests
No clear named guests are introduced in the transcript. The episode is a group discussion among the hosts/regulars (referred to as “KT,” “Gaz Marshall,” “John,” “Chris,” “Lodgy,” “Matty,” etc.), with one long story told by “me” and “the lads” (including characters like Peter Crouch and Cristiano).
Key claims
The wedding speech was praised but included explicit jokes and embarrassing moments (farting, miming vows, sexual references). A long revenge story ends with “full circle” cheating: Cristiano sleeps with Joey Barton’s mother after Joey’s earlier betrayal. Another tale claims a student paid “a quid and a cig” for sex. A final story claims the narrator accidentally got into a retirement home while drunk, then apologized with sweets.
Notable examples
“Couscous in the bin,” men tanning their backs “properly,” road-rage “no thank you” driving, and the “Coliseum” wedding setup with cue cards and a first-dance demo.

40It's all here on the Friday Club.
45It's all here on the Friday Club. Tell you what, every time he turns up, he looks better, doesn't he? Smarter. Cleaner. Yeah. Stylish. That's the word I was looking for. Maybe not smarter, but the amount of his friends that pulled us on Friday night to say... At the wedding. Have you been in his ear? Have you been giving him fashion advice? Right, and that wasn't just about Friday, obviously. Oh, no, no. You've got to make an effort at your wedding, haven't you? Like David Beckham here, like, switching my style art, my wardrobe art. But yeah, they were very complimentary. It's easier to dress when you're slimmer.
27Is that what it is? That's true. Yeah, it's easier to dress when you're slimmer because stuff looks better than if it's bigger. Yeah. Do you think you feel better in them as well, so then you look better? What, you give up more of an aura? Yeah. Are you more willing to take a bit of a risk? Well, it's not risky, is it, about a pair of shorts and a T-shirt? Maybe not today, no. Mixing his colours up. I know it's only black and cream, but he's getting a bit braver with his choices. I'll tell you what's happening. Cruyff sent me these. That's why I'm wearing these. They're nice, then. Yeah, the shorts.
02And who sent me this? I'm not sure why. Somebody sent me this. Where do you live, Africa? we had this conversation why are you getting all these clothes there's some poor there's some poor fuckers in Africa who are wearing mine now I've took a while you know Asda you just leave a bag of Cluers there there's some poor fuckers walking around there's a family of seven camps out in Siberia and he's old t-shirt I brought it up on Friday night and he went, actually in fact the only thing that I paid for is my sock and he's going to do exactly the same Yeah, that's true. The only thing I've paid for on my outfit today is my socks.
40Well, I didn't think married life would get a grip of you this quick, but it's bring your wife to work day. I know, yeah. The split arses have sat in the back of the room. You all right, KT? Is it rude to say the ball and chain? The old ball and chain. Have you ever seen a happier woman? Do you know what? You said it before, aura. She walked in like a married woman.
13That wasn't really a compliment. A face like a slapped arse. Oh, dear me. But a good day all round. Yeah, very good. Speech was incredible. He wanted to become great convention then, didn't he? It was really good, but everybody was put a show on. Yeah, very, very good speech. You do very well. couple of things I'd like to pick you up on yes I didn't think there were any need in front obviously my mom the in-laws the kids for you to tell them that when I'm tired I go to sleep for a wank before I go to bed for a wank before I go to sleep probably not needed you could have gone sleeping tablet I think reflection yeah yeah and the other one obviously when I swing me penis and my testicles about naked in front of people.
05No regret on that one. Probably not. Well, it was a, it's 80 % bollock, I think. It's 80 % bag, I think he said. Something along them lines. I'd say. I think I went 90. Did I go 90? I went 90, I think. Is that what it went 90? I think I went 90. They are getting really saggy. Like, unbelievably saggy. I see you from behind when you're in the movie. Because I don't wear pants as well. I'm just getting saggier and saggier. You need to start wearing underpants or something. It's too late now. Tighty whities. Oh, else? By the way, it's not easy. I spoke about it, and it's not easily done what he does.
42He swings his ball sack from his arse cheeks to his belly button really fast, and it makes an unbelievable noise. It's a double thud, isn't it? Double thud, the noise? I've tried it. Double thud, the noise? I've tried it in private, and I can't do it. Have I got a small ball bag? I try it at home. My balls can definitely not reach my bottom. I know, but that's what it's slapping off against. It's a double noise. It's a klaxon at both ends.
14But no, the speech was really good. So yeah, well done. Right, I'll take on board what you're saying, but bear in mind that during your speech, you broadcast to everybody in the room that you farted the first time you had sex with Katie. so yeah you know tit for tat all right would you say accurate Katie you know then he goes to his room and masturbates no it wasn't them it was the word the word word wank yeah yeah you're right there the word wank yeah I obviously I'm sure the kids have never thought about me wanking before but when you say it in front of him like i reckon probably 90 of the people haven't i think it was only katie oh no no you do you do my uh sedge that what i thought about you well sedge's probably seen it yeah at some point you've definitely seen it but now it was a good day it was even the like before just being you yeah pottering about when for a sauna oh yeah steam and that yeah you know what I just caught him and I end up doing it myself right it's was we just like the criticisms come here no no we were so we just like like lay outside it pull you're like as you do and we're just looking at a back a thing out at Windham, he'd be like that.
54Practising that? He says, yeah, I'm just going to get it in me head. Get it in me head. You've got to, though, haven't you? You've got to take them moments of opportunity. Honestly, I had our Otis Hall last week, Monday to Friday. You didn't say wank in front of you. No, no. What, you think of this one, Otis? I'm going to say when he goes to bed on a night and he's tired, he has a wank. And I felt bad because every so often I'd do what you've just done then. like whispers and he just looked at us and go speech again yeah so I was like are you nervous for us was that yeah I hope you hope you do well lesson but obviously get to flip to the wedding so obviously you say your vows and I'm like do you all Jonathan yeah blah blah and then when I don't know if you noticed people started laughing from that side of the church right mm-hmm so obviously you'll not really know what that were but when she's saying do you care to show or take Jonathan Parkin, I'm going,
51I'm miming her vows. But I didn't realize I were doing it. I thought you were doing it to take the piss, like to put her off. No, no. I can be serious, nine again. I swear to God. If there's ever gonna be one time when I'm gonna be serious, it's probably that. I honestly thought you were doing it to try and put her off. No, I didn't realize I was doing it. So you can see out video that she says, you're miming everything I say. and I go, what? I am? I weren't taking the piss. Tell you what, stumped us. So obviously I've had a lot of time to prepare. So you kind of like visualize yourself in the room, don't you?
28And we've all been to a lot of weddings. I thought, right, I'm going to be stood up. There's going to be a top table, bridegroom, whatever, and everyone's going to be in front of us. And eyes will be on me, which I kind of got my head around. sat the morning me and him go for a walk around the venue and we walked in I was like this is unbelievable this and there was two entrances to the dance floor so there's one side about six or seven steps the other side exactly the same and we're looking around and he's like oh yeah there's no seating plan just come in bit of a free-for-all and he just went you'll probably do your speech over there somewhere and I'm like you know when you start everything that I've thought about it just gone out the window and it was worse than I ever thought right because you said it would be at the top of the steps didn't you yeah and then again visualized everyone's gonna be if they're not on the dance floor they'll be round so that'll be fine and it was it was waiting to be called down to the coliseum yeah you're surrounded without like maximus aurelios yeah because obviously he worded uh gary barter up the singer i said make him feel he's really nervous he's lost color which rather than he did yeah so anyway you got the singers the compares said two or three times how nervous i was and everyone's just turned and looked at us and there i was and it was just weird everyone like look look them down yeah I remember speaking to you before and I saw John in the toilets not long after and he's nervous is he nervous I said yeah well I was saying when everybody here wants you do well everybody is here for you and he's like what are you saying that for I want him fucking stuttering in and to make it worse so i've explained i've explained the um the coliseum type setup flipping emperor and empress sat five ten yards away on a bar stable just staring at us so you were basically in the middle of the dance floor and then everybody was just round weren't they basically every every angle were covered yeah there were cue cards everywhere oh shit that can go it was like somebody pressed gold buzzer on it on their Britain's Got Talent there were just fucking cards everywhere the thing is I chucked the end of my speech away oh shit I think I've thrown one away that's not done yet I looked for it though didn't I no it was good you did it no good Sterling job Sterling job yeah you done really really well thank you very much I was very proud tell you what I've been there, not of myself.
19I tell you how well you did, Gaz Marshall, the comedian, says, if I can write him a script, he could do half his dinner. That's high praise. Yeah, high praise. Yeah. It's not coming from you two as well, by the way, because I know you'd... Tell us the truth. We secretly hope when I bombed and... Not bombed, but... No. No, I was 100 % batting fire. I heard a couple of laughs from you. I said I've got your back. First line. Thanks for coming, everyone. It's such a boy. It's brilliant. No, because I was giving you advice before, weren't I? Say, look, don't rush it. If you get it wrong, it's sound.
06Don't worry about it. And then if you do something wrong, don't feel as though you've got to pick it up because then you'll just end up like a washing machine. Yeah. Just like a washing machine. So you said you were laughing at the first dance and I'm going to have to do a demo. I hope you're all right with this. Can you take that camera back a bit, Matty? Like zoom out because do you fancy being Katie?
34I'll explain before it was like when these professional boxers, the professional boxers retire for 20 years and then they need another payday so they come out of retirement and fight, exhibition fight. First two rounds they come out all guns blazing they need to knock them out first two rounds Bell goes for the third round and they didn't bother. There's a lot of this come here
02laughter laughter laughter laughter laughter
11Just holding on just to get to fourth round. I actually said this edgy. Someone's going to have to give him some smelling salt. So, yeah. He can't. I've gone. I started roaring. Yeah. And then he just started roaring even more. No, it was a bloody good day. Yeah. It was a bloody good drink. Pound for pound, you could have been the drunkest man in there. You weren't far off. To be fair, this is high praise for the under the cosh lads. We were one of the last on the dance floors. Yeah, we were. It doesn't matter how early you're drunk, as long as you make the end. Yeah. And you did as well. There was times I looked at you, I thought, he's gone here.
48He could be a crispy duck wank bed. I had quite a good drink Friday night. Projectile vomited outside the club, about 10 o 'clock. That was old school, Bowser, that, Friday. Ten pints in three and a half hours. Yeah. Do you know when he's out and somebody goes to the bar and he's still got three quarters? Yeah, I'll have one. So he nexts that one. Gosh, again, that's nerves, that. Might have been. It is. Might have been. But vomiting. That's never been in your repertoire. I was just talking to Gwy, mate, halfway through a conversation. Water Jets went. I went, just give us a minute, Gwy. literally went outside got three steps outside club boom straight out of the fence three proper earls and all I think I only had two pints after that in time to go home but no let's talk about something else because Folk will start getting bored nah yeah they will there was loads of messages oh yeah thank you for all the messages and that yeah really much appreciated shall I hit with a quick speak pipe thanks everybody sending the message in there's that they're overflowing morning lads things that can go in the bin fucking couscous couscous fucking couscous oh I shop at Waitrose and I shop at Max and Spencer's oh I like eating couscous and posh fucking bread get yourself a packet of savoury rice and shut the fuck up that's going to be my favourite that is going to be my favourite you know why as well because I absolutely totally agree with you I don't get it like it's just like it's like gritting your mouth isn't it very aggressive but aggressive but good I'm happy to can you just play it again I could play it again yeah morning lads things that can go in the bin fucking couscous couscous and people that eat fucking couscous oh I shop at Waitrose and I shop at Max and Spencer's oh I like eating couscous and posh fucking bread get yourself a packet of savoury rice and shut the fuck up up the cosh yeah that's number one for me yeah cuss-cous going in cuss-cous is well what I mean I'll eat a cuss-cous you know like when you get one of them bowls from M &S yeah and they're in you know when we stop at services and you get a meal deal it's not a meal deal there is it but you know what I mean I'll do a cuss-cous but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a cuss-cous make it yeah I wouldn't make it I'm not making it is it rice?
26I don't know is it okay? you soak it and it turns into like, but yeah, shite. Yeah, well in the bin, yeah. I got a message from one of the lads, actually. Good voice and all, isn't it? It started off pleasant. Sounded a bit buried, innit? Yeah. I've told him I'll put it to the committee. Something that should be on the list that I've been thinking of, men who tan their back on holiday, and I only mean those blokes who purposely put the sun lounger down and lie down on their front to get an even tan. As a bloke, you should be on the lounger, sat up so you can hold on to a drink. You should only be exposing your back, walking about at the pool bar, etc.
12Love to hear your thoughts. See, I know for a fact this is not going in the bin from you because back in the day, you came with an absolute perfect, exactly mahogany one side and the exact mahogany other side and what you do is to see chicken what eight 45 on one 45 on other 30 30 pool yeah 30 flip 30 pool beep beep beep beep beep beep yeah just need to turn in to be fair the last couple of holidays I haven't done that I've just getting in the pool and got just as good as a tan yeah the kids and that but there was a spell where I would I did set an alarm and I hate being on me front and it was the longest half an hour you know like when you your pelvis feels like it's gonna snap it's just so like you've got to turn your neck where do you put your face I put my I put mine over top at lounger so I'm chin on yeah and then if I've got a good book I'll then put me book on the floor with the flip-flop on the book keeping it open arms like that reading the book the
28vinci code I honestly can't picture you reading a book yeah I know you probably have but I just got a little emails or anything go off
42Jesus my books still for sale by the way for me wants to buy it for the holidays They're restocked, aren't they? They must have sold out. I don't think so, yeah. My mum read it on holiday. Did she like it? She said, I'll tell you what she did say. Some feedback here. She, um... Too much swearing? Well, she said she didn't notice it when she was reading it, but she flipped halfway through because she left. What, until her back? She'd gone down. She'd gone down without a book one day, so she got the audio book as well. Oh. And you notice the swearing. She said, a lot of Fs. A lot of Fs. But noticed it more on the audio.
16Right. And she said that she was sure there weren't as many in the book as in the audio. But he's not adding them in, is he? Pass. I did say, don't do what you want, free reign. Anyway, going back to that. I think it depends what kind of holiday you're on. If you're on a lad's holiday and one of the lads is going off and reclining the flippant and some lounger, then it's in the bin. He's in the bin. But if it's a couple's holiday and the main thing is just lounging around the pool. I'll be flipping tomorrow. Yeah, I'll be flipping tomorrow, yeah. 30-30 pill? Not being as religious as that, but I will flip.
52You? I can't lie. I can't. Oh, yeah. No. I've got 15 minutes in me, and then I need to go and do something. So I'm not a lounger. I mean, for me, yeah, it could go in the bin. No problem. Not for me. Sorry. What? Yeah. Only because I've done it in the past. Yeah, I am as well, so it's not for me. You can see the errors of your weight, surely. Are you one of them? And I'm no for a fact. The answer is yes. Are you one of them who follows the sun round, the lounger? Yeah. You're like, put it at three o 'clock and then, oh, sun's there. Just move it round. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Waking everybody else up.
30And sliding into a walkway where people have got to take a detour around. Yeah, everybody's going to walk around. Waiter tutting. As long as I get that last half an hour. He's going to go past you with seven pina coladas on a tray. Stepping over him. there's feet hanging off the bottom isn't there no so it's not in the bin for me either right go on take us in with one it's a long mind this is called sensational tales I don't know if it's plural tales no I think there's just one right chaps brace yourselves because this is a long one if you want layers of scandal cheating overcoming adversity revenge and an absolute belter of a redemption at the end then this is for you but if it's long and right don't read this out and I'll take this holiday I'll just read it on me on
21he's gonna keep everyone anonymous but a few of the lads listen so if this makes the podcast they'll know exactly who it is it's about my best mate since preschool or more accurately his little brother he's the absolute star of the story. Me and my mate, let's call him Peter Crouch because he's the tallest one in the group. I've been mates for as long as either of us can remember. Same year, same classes, younger sisters the same age, lived just across the road until Crouchy was 18. Our mums have been friends longer than we have. Let's go back to around 2001. Big Pete met his teenage sweetheart.
04We'll call her miserable bastard. And they stayed together for a few years after school. I never liked her. You can probably tell. But Pete seemed happy enough, so I begrudgingly got on with her for his sake. Our mums used to question what he saw in her, but I minded my own business. After college, me, Pete, and a few of the lads started going to the local driving range two or three times a week. Small place, only one in the area. So you got all sorts. including the odd toffee-nosed bastard in a 100 grand car. One regular was a lad we'll call Joey Barton, because he was a prick. Sorry, Joey. He bullied Stan.
50We'll call him Stan Collymore. He'll piss himself at that. All the way through school. Joey often turned up with his dad. Red-faced, whiskey-bloated, Mercedes-driving Bellend. sometimes his much younger stupidly fit wife will be sat in the car waiting think cameron diaz in the mask absolute premium cargo oh god i've never been to a driving range have you not no tell us about when i finish this story it was the best part of the visit for a group of useless golfers by 2003 pete was coming to the range less and less. We all thought we'd just gone boring and settled down with miss miserable bastard but I lived across the road and I knew things weren't right.
37Empty wine bottles, late night chats between our mums. Turns out Pete's dad had been playing away for years while working offshore. Divorce came quick. Pete's mum did all right out of it, moved the kids 10 minutes away in a nice new motor and seemed a lot happier. Does the women work offshore at all? I've never afternoon and offshore. Yeah, but you don't just bob back, do you, for a night out and a shag? So has the women worked some raise wigs? I'm guessing he was playing away when he was back in the country. Because I think if you work abroad, then I think you do a week onshore before you then go offshore.
19Right. That is a window then, isn't it? Pete's little brother, let's call him Cristiano. he took the divorce really hard he was only about 11 and worshipped his dad cheeky little lovable rogue still is just not so little anymore a few months later pete text me out the blue asking if i fancy a few buckets we end up there for i've just realized he means golf it's a gold ball yeah not pine it's a strange terminology we end up there for four hours he gets a lot off his chest and just as we're packing the clubs away he admits he's certain miserable bastard has been cheating on him she's been ghosting him for months he asked me to keep it quiet of course I do not long after my sister working the drive through by this point comes home swearing blind she saw miserable bastard sat in the passenger seat of a fancy car doing her nails while some rich prick ordered food.
25She asks if she should tell Pete's sister. I say, leave it with us. I take Pete for a quiet session at the range and tell him everything. He seems almost relieved. The only question he asks, what car was it? My sister couldn't tell one car from another, so I just said, a big fancy one. We hatch a plan. That evening, my sister and Pete's sister stake out Miserable Bastard's house. 20 past 5, her dad drops her off. An hour later, she jumps into a very nice Mercedes, looking like she's not just off for a quiet meal with the girls. No way. Ravel in. We follow them to her countryside pub. They walk in hand in hand, smiling, obvious as fuck.
14I know exactly who it is. Joey fucking Barn.
22In his dad's Merc. The worst kind of... Yeah, he's just borrowing his dad's car. I was thinking it might be his dad. Joey's dad? No. Offshore guy. Obviously a bit of a rat. His dad's car as well. I remember being about... Sorry. Very quickly. I remember being about 18. pulled up at Tesco carpack and someone I used to go to school with was in a Range Rover, brand new Range Rover, sat there with music on, window down, hand on the steering wheel and arm and I saw him and he went, he gave me the thumbs up and then I had to go back to the car for something and as I went back to the car, his auntie or someone came out as well and he had to shuffle over into a passenger seat.
10I remember I remember my brother going to Ibiza and I was only doing lessons I hadn't passed my test but he had a blue Clio and while he was away I'd driven it around Peter Lee thinking I was the bollocks windows down house music on not thinking anything of it but one of his mates must have seen us and grassed us up and went berserk brand new Clio as well you were fucking wrong weren't you rang you from from Ibiza no he waited till he got back it wasn't that important so you're driving You think carry no eight note thingy, you're nicking milk, you're firing fucking paintballs at people and fucking sex tapes.
45I tell you what. Up until 19, you were a fucking badder, wasn't you? I'm surprised you're not doing a stretching ball school.
54I do remember thinking I was... Some glasses would have been on again, window down. The same lad who'd made Stan's life hell was now Wallop and Pete's girlfriend. Just have a recap on who Stan is again. Stan's one of the good mates who they always go to the range with. And they've all been to school all their life. And Joey's been bullied him all through school. So he's one of the mates. I ring Pete. He's buzzing. We pick him up, drop him at her parents' house. 15 minutes later, he comes back out looking like a new man with a bin bag full of his stuff. We never heard from the miserable bastard again until much later.
36So is he gone, told her mum and dad everything that's happened? I'm guessing she was still living at home, so she'll have been there. Yeah, right. So he's just had it out with her. Got all his stuff. You think? Yeah. Oh, he's got all his stuff while she's still at. Now he's the part you've all been waiting for. After the divorce, Cristiano had a rough few years. that's the young brother isn't it exclusions youth offenders twice then proper prison for about a year when he was 18 best thing that ever happened to him he did a bricky course inside came out with certificates and the job more importantly he came out looking like fucking four six foot three shredded he was already a good looking lad absolutely dripping in it he was dripping in it that is on there that's not my thingy obviously in fanny dripping in fanny he asked his big brother to start taking him to the range with the lads we loved it he got annoyingly good annoyingly quick a few months in he tells us he's texting a girl who has an older boyfriend met her at the range slipped her his number while she was getting drinks turns out the older boyfriend was Joey Barton Oh, right back at you.
58And the girl was Joey's new bit of tuna fillet. I don't like tuna fillet. Oh, no. I prefer John West tinned me than another proper fillet. Yeah. Right. As a lady, you wouldn't want to be described as a tuna, really. There's a lot better fish on the market. Salmon? I'd be with salmons. Turbot. Turbot's a nice fish. Right, so he's, yeah, he's moved in on Joey's new flame, basically. Pete looked at his little brother and said the honourable thing, smash the fucking granny out of her. Oh, no point looking at Katie. If she listens to it, she's going to read it all anyway. You just got live, haven't you?
47Smash the fucking granny out of her. Cristiano did his brotherly duty And Stan has worshipped him ever since Joey then stopped coming to the range Years pass, some of us have kids Pete meets his now wife, absolute top lass Everybody's happy with him, fine, sorry Final chapter, best of the lot We're all at the range, me, Pete, Cristiano and Stan Cristiano's about 25 and telling us about this older blonde on the building site he's working on, taking advantage of his dinner hour while her husband is at work. Sausage sarnies at lunchtime, if you know what I mean. Oh, but he has. He's gone again, hasn't he?

33Well, he's in outdoors. You've got to make more sure you can, haven't you? He shows Pete a picture of her Facebook profile. Pete then erupts into the loudest laughter I've ever heard in my life. When he finally calms down, he asks one question. What car does a husband drive? You already know the answer, lads. The same Mercedes. There we go. So Cristiano's now walloping Joey Barton's mum? I think he is. Yeah, he is. I think he is. He is. Oh, Lord, won't you buy me? The same seats that had once been full of miserable bastard and Joey Barton had now had Cristiano's man fat and Cameron Diaz's lady spray all over them.
21This has gone full circle twice. Champions League overhead kick against Juventus. Absolute perfection. Cristiano finished the job and moved on. He's since married an absolute belter and had his second kid on the way. Happy ending for him too. One last bit. A few years back on bonfire night, Pete's sister bumped into miserable bastard at a party. She was stood in a doorway munching a hot dog and asked if Pete might be interested in getting back together. Pete's sister chucked a full pint over her. Beer, mustard, fried onions, the lot, and screamed, What do you think, you ugly cunt?
06he says she's made sure i put that in i'm so happy for pete yeah crouches his comeuppance has come round on it they all seem like good lads and sister yeah yeah anyway lads that's the story long one i know but me and the boys have been seen for years it would make a proper friday club tale hope you enjoyed it well we certainly did christiano everybody followed that it's been written very well yes to set as much detail and different people in it is done well absolute premium cargo with me i can imagine christiano as well you know young ripped but he's a brick here so he's got a bit rougher on the edges I can imagine him doing...
53He's laying brick with no shirt on, but a yellow ivy's vest cut off. Like the Coca-Cola advert, you know? Yes. People look at him. Yeah, glistening in the sun. Second tech when the driving part. Ripped jeans and that. Yeah. I might even go for the little shorts. Sometimes wear the shorts. Changing his travel hand, you know, if it keep his tan equal. 30-30. Switch. Four metres, four metres. Yeah, that was a belt of that. What do you think, you ugly cunt? Yeah, I like it. Very, very good. Quick message, gentlemen, from our friends at Salee. Heroes. For you especially, John. We certainly were in America.
35Well, Salee, if you don't know, is the eSIM service app brought to you by the creators of NordVPN, which we love, don't we? Obviously, you know I'm not very technical. All you need to do is download the app to your phone, installing eSIM so you can use data abroad instead of getting them horrible, horrible roaming charges. We've all been stung with a hefty bill in the past, haven't we? Yes. Since this early, very affordable. Really good prices. I used it in Dubai and it was very, very affordable. It saves you time as well. You don't need to wait in line. You know, when you get to airport for foreign sims, when they're there with cardboard.
12Scrambling for Wi-Fi. Yeah. and it's compatible with iOS or Android devices and it offers plans in over 200 destinations. Download Saley in your app store and use the code COSH at checkout to get an exclusive 15 % off your first purchase. The details are in the podcast episode description box. Can I dip back in here? You can go back in if you want. I don't know if you beat Cush Cush. Hi, lad. One for the bin. 100 % needs to go in the bin when you are driving and you've got to pull in and wait for somebody coming down the road and you're sat there for 30 seconds on your way to work or wherever you're going you're in a happy mood, you're in a good mood and then they go past and don't even recognise that you've pulled in, give you a thank you or put their hand up or flash you they just drive past like absolute arrogant cunts and then all of a sudden you're in a bad mood while you're driving and you're fucking flipping everyone off and oh wow it winds me up and that definitely needs to go in the bin for me these aren't even questionable are they?
26no, they're ill sure it's not, even if it's just a raised thumb off the just thumb it, finger up finger up? like, or nod of the head yeah I think I do agree with you right but I'm gonna bat for the other thing here yeah because it was quite recently I've been that one the one that doesn't thingy why and I was just in a world of my own I was just driving and probably thinking about my speech was only once he'd gone that I thought oh fuck me I haven't even I did I just in a world of my own driving and he was obviously there I just would you do like catch him up and give him a bit no no what I thank you just just just so you know me I forgot to say thank you yeah cheers yeah that was really good yeah fucking big nose bass over on the cost I'm arrogant as fuck I let him out and he never even said thank you yeah I did what's a thank you I think oh I wouldn't purposely I'd seen him I wouldn't know I wouldn't have done it but it was only when I thought the fuck's just happened now I was in the world of me on my dad used to be terrible for it me dad went with the the hand up and the lean forward for far too many seconds it go with it to the point where is it like lost concentration oh yeah yeah he's uh he must be horrendous driving me dad i he's seen i you know like 79 when he died right i imagine he's seen thousands of kestrels hovering you know just inside it field but whenever he's seen a castle it was like it what first time I'd ever seen one oh my god he wants took me balls to work to York in car so this is first time so 26 27 years ago and he was still driving when he when he when he died right and again gets in the bar after and they said like we just we're gonna get the train back we're not winning we'd had a not way back.
33It was that bad a driver. Horrendous. So the man out and says, oh, we're going to go for a few drinks in York and that. Thanks for fixing this up. He just went, we're not, we can't fucking get back in with him. On A64 doing 70 in third. I'm wondering if this was what we said it. I'm not fucking coming back in that car. You tell him. Stay here. We're going to have to think of something. It was a point where we're like, change gear. Just change gear. I don't think he ever got to fifth in his car. I was speaking to Lodgy, your mate, at breakfast. Yesterday it was, and one about, did he come down, he used to come down to Forest Green.
11Yeah. They said he used to come down with your mum and dad. And he said for some reason he'd always sit in between them. I don't know if it was... Stop arguing. But he said, your mum used to just like, have a, not Tourette's, but just a lot of noises, you know, if some decision went against him, or if he was offside, flagged offside. awesome she'd shout shout again to the point and Dave your dad would just lean over and go but just keep it down with you just just keep it down leaning over logic but here's a would just keep going and going in the end he just leaned behind logic and go well you shut the fuck up For God's sake!
58I think it got to the point where he did it. Towards the end of my career, I don't think he even sat with her. I think he just sat somewhere else. Like a crack on. There must have been people telling her, like, who's that? Oh, she'd abuse the lads. She'd abuse the lads on my team. And the families would be sat within earshot vicinity. Because all those tickets were in the same area. Bloody hell, Jones. you should have said that classic it is well I've said that on here with Billy Jones you've just reminded us Billy Jones is Nana so it must be a generational thing just say whatever comes into your head going back to that did I ever tell you when I was involved in some heavy road rage with the meathead so with me cousin and he's driving jinky we're no another one and uh there were a bit of roadworks going going on so they put like a chicane in and it was we had to give way and we were chatting away and it was our fault he hadn't given way and there were a car coming over where so he's gone oh so both cars have stopped in the middle and fair enough he reversed back sorry but this guy he He must have been on steroids or something.
15He was massive, but his head just went bright red. You know, he'd apologised and everything because of... And gone back. And gone back. This guy was raging. He got out of his car and he was massive. And you know when you can tell someone's shitting himself? Because of him, he was shitting himself. I mean, I were a bit fearful for him as well because this guy is walking over it and he's massive, redhead. and he's just getting close to the car and I can see my cousin's sliding down his seat and as he approaches his car, his Mercedes went past and he hadn't put handbrake on. And next minute, he's running down road trying to catch his car.
56He's open door, his legs are dragging. He pulls handbrake on just before it hits the wall and then he stands up. I just remember my cousin giving him a two-bips, thumbs up and fucks off. The thing is, you do realise that he'd have expected you to get involved and have his back like that. Not a chance. You can't just let him get a fucking run in Keaton, can you? He should have given way, shouldn't he? Yeah. You think he'd done you both in? Oh, he were a big piece of kit. I'm all right at playing the pipes of peace. That's one thing I'm... You weren't in fucking Germany, were you? I don't know. If I need to, then I think I could have disarmed the situation.
33It sounded like he had gone past that. Well, maybe, yeah. But his Mercedes fucked off anyway, so on our way we're not. How incredible would it have been if it had crashed into a wall? Yeah. His legs were dragging along tarmac as he would try to pull and break up. I've got, I don't get to say this while it's on my brain, but you know what I'm talking about the other week when they were saying people put an empty packet back in that have already been eaten. Yeah. You go in. What Louise does, she'll go to the shop for multiple items and rather than take them out of the bag and put them in individually, she'll put the full bag in the fridge and leave it there what you mean like like yogurt like with it yes so yes so she went olives for the little in diet coke and a few um ready meal things past cold pasta things and she she'll have some of them and put them in back in the carrier bag and put the whole carrier bag back in the whole asda carrier bags in the fridge yeah no yeah in the bed it's not the first time she's done it that's just the height of laziness isn't it well you can't see what's in it convenient and when you want something out of the fridge and you're like oh what's in there and then you go into it oh they might be so good in it and there's a fucking box of olives worst possible thing that could be in there that are rumours and it's still in there it's in my fridge not hers and it'll still be in there next week No, I'm not having that in the bin.
01She's lazy. Yeah. Tell her. Hopefully she listens to this. Instead of us. Don't tell us your shit, man. Tell her. Did I tell you about the scampi fries and bacon fries last week? No. So I bought, we went to one of them B &M's and whatever it is. You know, I thought cleaning products and that that she likes. So we went there, I thought, I'll treat myself into some scampi fries and bacon fries, you know, three are each in bag. But fucking kids are, kids are just eating. So I eat them. The big multi-pack. Multi-pack, six. So you're getting three, oh right, three are each. A mix and match in the big bag.
41Three are each. So, I've eaten them on top at fridge, right? So, I've had one pack of each, so I've still got two of each left. So, other day, I thought, well, I'll tell you what, I don't want, I'm not going to have any tea, I just found, I have a bag of bacon. and I'll have a bag of scampi. So I went up, put my hand on top of the fridge. No way to be seen. No way to be seen. So I stands on the kitchen side, looks on top. Gone. Gone. So I got all the kids in individually. I said, look into my eyes, look into my eyes. Spanish inquisition. I want to know, have any of you all had my crisps? No, no.
21And then Violet, what last? She went, yeah, yeah. My mum had put them in the cupboard. we all rested crisps right and she was there by the way doing both interviews all interviews she was here never said a fucking dicky bird right so it's all right violet went the facts sound fair enough did you put them crisps in with all the no my special crisps did you put it special crisps she went yeah i could see a little bit of green packet and it was triggering me aren't you fucking winding me up or what so you can't blame the kids no I know it's not Malik's fault it's fair game once we're in the cupboard yeah but a little bit aren't you fucking joking so obviously they're all gone so I was in the kitchen the other day obviously we'll go away tomorrow so she's bought a multi-pack of crisps for kids for when we're away a big box fucking this big where is it on top of master fridge sound if she puts it up there.
19Well, you're not there to be triggered, are you? Yeah. You know what I mean? She must have been on to a red little bit at Green Packet because I thought I did them well. Fucking unbelievable. Were you hoping that the little one just denied all knowledge? So it would... You could have carried on just going, well, one of them's lying. Yeah. She'd have thrown something under the bus. Little buggers are about to climb up on the side a lot. But you're triggering me. I'm going in, gents. The Bargain Hunter. Now then, gents. Hope we're all well. Long-time listener, first-time caller, so apologise if it's a long one.
56I'll save the soppy bits, but we'll say this tale involves two lads from Yorkshire and one from down south. So if Chris wants to stick an accent on, I hope this helps with the voices. Back in 2014, I was in my third year of university and living with two other lads from the uni's rugby league team. One lad was called Rob from Yorkshire. The other lad was called Lee, bloody southerner. And the story takes part on what started as a pretty standard Tuesday evening to begin with. We were all sat round doing nothing when a message went in the group chat. Anyone out tonight? We already had a pretty big team social plan the following night.
38So a few of us ruled themselves out early, including myself and Rob. but Lee was pretty game and invited those going out to have pre-drinks at hours. Oh, you don't want pre-drinks when you're not going out, do you? No. In your place. I'll tell you what happened. I'm getting sucked in. Yeah. Rob and I joined in the festivities for a few drinks but wished them on their merry way as the small band of lads headed out into Borough for the night. It's worth noting at this point that Lee is a proper tight bastard. The kind of lad that goes on a night out with zero in his pocket but comes home hammered with a palm oil and£5 in change, usually preying on freshers from the other sports team to buy him drinks.
22In the early hours of the morning, we heard a rumble by the front door, followed by Lee's booming voice and a murmur responding. It's also worth adding the layout of the house included Lee's bedroom downstairs by the front door with Rob and I's room being on the second floor landing. out of sight from the front door on the mini hallway. As Lee finally managed to put the key in the door and let himself in, Rob texts me. He's brought someone back. Meet me on the landing, I replied. And we both quietly hid ourselves out of view, but in earshot. We're all doing that, aren't we? It's like when you hear him in an hotel, isn't it?
07It's like your next door in an hotel, you always put your cup to it, don't you? Your glass. What about when we stayed in that Airbnb overnight and that couple were having an argument next door? I wish I could have got a photo. There were four of us up the stairs with glasses on wall. Five, because Oscar was here. Yeah, it was a bad one as well. Did you have a phone or something? He caught her cheating. We both quietly hid ourselves out of view, but in earshot of their conversation. Kind of like a crap episode of Sunsea Sex and Suspicious Parents. Now, we couldn't see who Lee had brought home, but we could hear the clip-clop on the cheap laminate floor left us thinking not who, but what.
49Has he brought a fucking horse home? We thought to ourselves.
57Thinking there's a chance our housemate was trying to get Shurgar into bed with a handful of hay and some sugar cubes, we awkwardly waited on the landing for his three minutes of glory to end. And end it did. As Red Rum took herself back to the stables, we left it a minute or two to make sure she cleared the final hurdle before going down to quiz Lee as to what had just happened. After sheepishly ignoring our question of who the fuck was that, Lee went quiet and asked, Did you bring a prostitute back to our house? After a while, he finally admitted that he panicked when she asked, Are you looking for business?
36and couldn't refuse her charming advances. When pressed on how much it had cost him, he replied, well, she asked me how much I had. I told her not much. I've only got a quid and a cig.
53Then she said she'd stuck him off for that and followed him home. So Lee managed to get his wine wet for a low price of one great British pound and an L &B ciggy. Turns out she returned to our house about an hour later asking if he wanted anything more, but Lee rejected her this time and asked her to go away. Do you think he managed to wangle himself a bargain David Dickerson would be proud of, or was he just a cheap mucky bastard and needed to say no to the ladies that night? All the best, Hammond. Both. One pound and a fag. Did they say how old he was? Whether at Unis or... Oh, so young? You've got to say 1920, 21.
38I think that's... It's an opportunist, isn't it? John, let's... Chris, even. Let's just think about what this thing's going to look like. Yeah, that's exactly the point I was going to make. Who's charging a pound and a fag for a... Like, I'm talking... Fallatial. Like, Skid Row tackle, innit? Yeah. Like, no teeth. Like, smells. One of the street ones. Yeah, do you know, like, dirt on a clue, like probably a skin-tight pair of jeans and a pair of Nike trainers with only one lace. It's a quid though, John. That's what I mean. It's a fucking great deal. You know what I mean? You know you're in HMV and like Chesney Hawks' album, 99p.
22You might think, I don't really like Chesney, but it's 99p. Yeah, it's a snip. I'll chuck it on our way home. That's what I mean by both. He has got an outrageously good deal here, hasn't he? Because Lambert and Butler are one of the cheapest fags and all. And he's bummed it off somebody else, hasn't he? That£1.50 and two fags, that. For bumming. Yeah, I can imagine she's fucking horrid. I mean, as well, she knows he's skint, and she's come back... She's come back? And asks if he wants anything else. Yeah. I think what she might have thought there is, I tell you what, I missed an opportunity. I could have Nicked some it.
02Yeah, I might have. It's a student house, though. What are you going to Nick? Pot noodle. She might have just wanted a good night's kid. She might have just thought. Or a wesh. Yeah, jump in the shower. Just watch a pom-pom. So, yeah. Bargain hunter. Yeah. But it were a transaction between two gun consenting adults. Mm-hmm. That's a story to be told. Yeah. All right, gents, I'm going in. So he's done well, really, hasn't he? I think so. Yeah, he's done well. Has he done well? If he's ejaculated for a quid and a fag, it's not bad going, is it? He could rather have a wank and... What, with that fag in your mouth?
50Oh, I'm going in, lads. All right, gents. Got to keep this anonymous in case any member of staff got in trouble because of the following story. Been listening to the day dot. Probably listening from day dot. Big fan of the show and all that jazz. Story from a few years back, which in my opinion isn't a biggie, but it splits audiences whenever I recite it to people as to whether I should have been locked up or put on a register. Jesus Christ. Friday comes and after a busy week and me and two of the lads in December. Oh, Jesus. You're in holiday mode, aren't you? Yeah. You're going to be struggling on that sunlight when you do your book.
33I'll have to get one of them that you read backers. Friday comes, and after a busy week, me and two of the lads decide to go out for an afternoon gallon or two of Peroni in a bar in Hebben. Cocknose might have heard of it. Hebben Bridge, is it? That's kind of on me, right? I think the nose reference. heaven heaven heaven heaven is that newcastle where also not leads where after said gallon or two was swallowed we jumped on the spirits and flushed them down with some yeagers to lift the mood a couple of hours after are all a blur and I can't remember a fucking thing which normally means it was a canny night however the next thing I remember is being walking by the police with my strides down to my ankles in a puddle of my own making oh dear so if that's piss or shit or sick or a bit of all his pants are down we you thinking we or poo i'm thinking we i hope yeah in all honesty the location where i chose to rest my weary bone wasn't ideal but in my defense it was warm he rudely woke me in the common room of the old people's retirement home that was next door to the pub it's still a mystery as to how I managed to get to the second floor of a secure building as I would have needed to use a card or code to get about just going to know old folks Jesus Christ nobody would smell the piss would they it's just normal isn't it could have been in there for months The police took me home to my house where my lass at the time wasn't happy having her friends round for a night in.
25Next day, I went round with loads of sweets and treats and to pass on my sincere apologies to the staff and residents for what I'd done the night before because I'm nice like that. Wervers. You've got to go Wervers, haven't you? For the old people. Yeah. Shortbread. Yeah. I was thinking more baked. Yeah, they all like shortbread. Where was original? shortbread and tartan tin. In summary, am I a good person who did a daft thing? Or should the residential home really look into their security system and thank me for highlighting the flaws in their security systems? Up the bastard cosh. I reckon he's at the door blind shitting drunk.
10Reg has gone for a walk, midnight walk, not knowing where the fuck he is. He's heard the knocking and the old guy's just open, or girl, woman, he's just open the door and he's walked past and Reggie's just gone, and gone back to bed. Yeah. I think that's how he's probably got in. Yeah. Or window, window open, and he's breached the key card situation just up the stairs. Yeah, maybe, maybe. Would be warm. Yeah, always red hot, aren't they? To what? Yeah, loads of blankets about. Yeah. So he's got to walk up by a policeman. So somebody's funny, man. there like some is funny man thought report this to the police yeah yeah come on mate let not you buy get your pants up it's time for home i've never been that drunk yeah i fell asleep and being sick and that bought reminded i've got a song about um i know he didn't sleep with a granny but i have got a song about sleeping but yeah yeah it's not your is your fault but it's not really your fault is it you ain't no horrendously wrong no probably anywhere and all there's plenty of mops and buckets of that bar isn't there you know and them sort of gaffs i'd probably take some shit sweet old people like shit sweets well then purple ones oh part pama violets yeah palmer like when do you ever no not pima violets the sucky ones oh with a bit of black bit of juice in them Yeah.
40Oh, blacker and ligarish. Yeah. I don't like them. I think they're a good sweet. I don't mind them, to be fair. And I'll tell you what else. The orange things with the twists around them. Mm-hmm. What are they called? They're like, so big. Orange with twists around them. Can you remember them? Yeah, like cough sweet. Murray mint. Oh, Murray mint. You can come next week, you. Yeah. I'm sitting here instead of him. Like cough candy sweets. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of menthol. Pear drops. I don't mind a pear drop. Incredible pear drops. A good pear drop needs to be... Pear-shaped. Yeah, I mean, there's shit out there.
21Cheap ones, aren't they? Cheap ones. Normally, I like... Where do you get them from these days? Well, you get them from every so often, you'll see an old-school sweet shop.
