Thanks for all your lovely messages and comments about the podcast. We're sort of overwhelmed, aren't we? Overwhelmed.
0:38Graham Norton:People might remember, in the first episode, we had a guy and his girlfriend brought him home to meet his family. And turned out the dad was a naturist. Well, amongst the responses to that episode, we have an update from, is it Vicky?
0:53Maria McErlane:Yes. Hi, Graham and Maria. This is probably going to sound ridiculous, but I live in Devon. and I think your naked man has taken his holiday near me and been creating a bit of a storm, brackets, in a teacup, close brackets. A friend of mine recently went for a walk in a particularly beautiful area of North Devon Coast a couple of weeks ago and returned with a story about coming across a naked man and his fully clothed wife roughly in his 70s. That's them. Yeah. He wasn't wearing a stitch. Apart from his hiking boots.
1:25Graham Norton:Oh, they're always wearing hiking boots. They love hiking boots.
1:29Maria McErlane:Tucking your willy in your hiking boots, no. Apart from wearing hiking boots and a white ribbon, oh, securing his appendage to his leg. No, you're making this up now. Just stop flapping or something. No one I know can quite fathom why the ribbon was necessary, so please do chip in with suggestions. A few days later and Minnie Driver, yes, the Minnie Driver, posted on her Instagram about coming across a naked man on a North Devon beach. Now I'm convinced that your podcast naturist and this man are all the same person. Could it be Vicky?
2:05Graham Norton:Well, I would say yes, except I believe our correspondent would have mentioned the white ribbon. Surely that's a detail you wouldn't leave out.
2:13Maria McErlane:But listen, he only saw the man naked sitting in an armchair watching the 1 % Club or something like that, wasn't it?
2:21Graham Norton:That's a very good memory.
2:22Maria McErlane:I know, but I don't remember what his name was. And so there's no need for a white ribbon when you're sitting. There's no need for a white ribbon at all. Well, if you're walking, there's a flap going on, isn't there?
2:32Graham Norton:Is he afraid of getting an erection? Is he trying to tether it to himself?
2:34Maria McErlane:No, I think it's because if you've got flappy thing between your legs, it can cause chafing. Or maybe he's just saying, my willy surrenders.
2:44Maria McErlane:My willy is a conscientious objector.
2:48Graham Norton:It will not be entering the fray. It will not be going to war any time today. Even though it's wearing a helmet.
2:54Maria McErlane:I think that... Do we know that to be true? Even though, I mean, it seems to be drawing attention more to the fact a white ribbon securing your appendage does seem to be like, look at this, more than if it's just floating free.
3:11Graham Norton:Yeah. I do love that Minnie Driver is now being dragged into our problem. Thank you so much for getting in touch, Vicky. And remember, new episodes of Wanging On drop. Do they drop?
3:23Maria McErlane:They do drop. they drop every Monday and they're not secured by white ribbon no
