1:00Andrew Edwards:Andrew. David.
1:08Yo, what's up, people of the internet? Welcome back to another episode of the Waveform Podcast. We're your hosts. I'm Marquez. I'm Andrew. And I'm going to be the winner of the trivia extravaganza. And that's because today we are all pitting ourselves against each other. And you heard it here first. this is the trivia extravaganza and i'm 26 season four or something who knows what number it is but the idea is we've been accumulating trivia points for the past couple of months slash years i don't know how long it's been since the last one and now we'll be answering many more questions plus we'll have our existing points as a starting baseline and uh we're gonna have some fun and hopefully we have a winner at the end of this that means also over at the table we have our uh our esteemed panel, which is now Ellis, Rufus, and Adam.
1:53You might remember the last trivia extravaganza. The scorekeeping becomes a big challenge. So they're going to hopefully keep score over there and keep us honest. Yes. And hopefully we learn something in the process. So take it away.
2:06Andrew Edwards:So, yeah, no, we've got a lot of, we've got a few games coming back from the past. We have a lot of new games. We have some twists. We have some surprises. So without further ado, let's do some trivia.
2:25Let's go.
2:26Andrew Edwards:It is the return of Trivia Extravaganza. It has not been here for almost 12 months, 11 to be exact. But now we can bring it back in full glory to hear the scary organ. We wanted to do spooky theme this time. It's not even Halloween. Don't worry about it. It's still spooky. Did I get you? That was pretty spooky. I did think. I liked it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Spooky. Is it all spooky questions? No, actually nothing about it is spooky. I just didn't know what to theme it. You know, it's the return of trivia extravaganza. That's kind of what I was going for. Yeah. And that just felt kind of like vampiric.
3:02Andrew Edwards:Here's a spooky thing. Yeah. OnePlus is dead. That is recording you all the time. Well, that's actually scary. That is terrifying. The first game we're going to be playing is made by Adam. And I think it is one of the greatest ideas for a game I've ever heard. But before I can tell you the game, I have to tell you the twist with this season's trivia extravaganza finale competition to the death. And that is for most of the game, not the whole game, but most of the game, you guys will be playing on teams.
3:43Andrew Edwards:the way this is going to work is two of you will be on a team at once trying to answer a question one of you will be the odd man out if the team gets it correct both of you get the point if you do not get it correct the odd man out gets the point and the odd man out doesn't have to answer anything I want to be the odd man out it rotates Oh, good. Marquez and I famously have not had the best. You do not want to play, bro? That's my best chance. If we go historically through the amount of points that have been given out over the last season, historically, it would be better for me to not answer.
4:17Andrew Edwards:So here's how we're going to go. Damn. The teams, it's going to go like this. So first, hypothetically, it'll be Team David Andrew. When we were testing this, we called your team the missing president because David Andrew just sounds like a guy who was president. There obviously was no president of the United States named David Andrew. Can we be Team Andrew David because that's my name? Your middle name is David. Oh my God. That's crazy. That is his middle name. I am older too and first in the alphabet. In fact, how did you name it David Andrew when every other thing points to me? It has to be David Andrew because it'll make sense.
4:51Andrew Edwards:Because next is Team Andrew Marquez, which we named Team Lawn Sports because both you guys do that. And then after that will be Team Marquez David, which we called the phone zone. Welcome to the phone zone Exactly Lawn sports? Yeah I guess you don't really play disc golf on a lawn But there's grass You don't play ultimate on a lawn either But I have a feeling Marquez and I would be Nasty at lawn sports Ball golf is a lawn sport I think of a lawn as like a Anything on grass Smaller sports I would say like curated grass Yeah like when you play at McCarron is that a lawn? It's a park I don't want to get to spike ball can't jam, those are lawn sports cornhole, lawn darts, basketball guys, not that one games, we're playing games the first game created by Adam absolutely genius creation is called the keyword search, it's just called keyword search there's no article, it's just keyword search the way keyword search works is I'm going to give you a question it could be an easy question, it could be a hard question However, you cannot answer the question.
6:04Andrew Edwards:You and your teammate have to come up with three words that when I put them into a Google search bar, the answer to the question is revealed on the first page of Google. So, for example, if I ask you the question, who was one of the dudes that founded Reddit? You could not Google Reddit founder, but you could Google Serena Williams' husband. And you can't use the actual name. And you can't. No. So it's like taboo. You can't use. None of the words from the question or the answer may be present in your Google search. We're so good at Googling. I feel like we're going to do well. I'm pretty good at Googling.
6:38So, okay. We will see. Godly Googler. First page? Anyone on the first page? Let's go, FUNZO.
6:42Andrew Edwards:We'll start off with some easy ones. So, it's David and I first? Yes. It's Team David Andrew. Yeah. David Andrew. Team David Andrew. David Andrew. What is the name of the podcast that we are on right now? I almost want to say if we typed in Marquez Andrew David, would that come up? No. MKBHD. Oh, no, we can't. How many words can we use? We can't say podcast. How many words can we use? Can we use a full string? It's three words. Oh, three. But we can't use podcast, right? No, you cannot use podcast.
7:13How about scientific sound? How are you? Wait, wait, wait, wait. Can you spell the answer? I can't spell it. What? Just do it. Why? What are we trying to figure out? No, that's for you guys to figure out.
7:31Andrew Edwards:What's the name of the podcast we're on right now? You don't know that? I know, but some people name it W-A-V-E-F-R. Some people do W-V-E-F-R. I get it. I get it. It's spelling independent. Okay. How about - MKBHD has to be in it. Okay. MKBHD podcast. Oh, wait. What about MKBHD pocket cast? Pocket cast. Or MKBHD Spotify. Show. Show. MKBHD Spotify. I like that. MKBHD. Do you don't think Pocket Cast would work better? Spotify Show? Yeah, Pocket Cast. Show. Or Pocket Cast. Well, Pocket Cast is one word. What about sound? Oh, wait. Can we just do MKBHD, Shopify, Pocket Cast? Shopify? Spotify? I put three words by the end of this.
8:15Andrew Edwards:They didn't pay for that. Oh, yeah. Do both of them? I think show is probably good. Okay. Let's do MKBHD Spotify. Spotify Show. Okay. Or Pocket Cast show is a better idea because Spotify has a lot of music. It's hard because yeah. Let's just do MKBHC's Pocket Cast. There's those people that upload all our crap there. It's MKBHC's Spotify show. Pocket Cast. Pocket Cast. Oh my god. Pocket Cast is one word? Yeah. It's a name of a company. Yeah, but it doesn't mean it's one word. Alright, you got it. In the AIO review, Waveform, the MKBHC podcast in tests, we found that the one that most people went for immediately was MKBHC Andrew David.
8:56Andrew Edwards:Really? Yeah, and that would almost always result. Oh, yeah. MKVH includes you. I forgot about that. I forgot. I was like, what about Marquez? He's on the show, too. All right. So, David, Andrew, you have each earned one point. Marquez, you were not given a point by their failure, but now it is team lawn sports. It's his turn. This is? Oh, yeah. This is tough. It's like, damn, that was great working with you. You want to work poorly with David and work well with me so we can catch David. I'm just saying Launch ports What standard port was mandated by the EU to be on all chargeable portable devices?
9:38Andrew Edwards:So it's the USB type C port So they want to have three words to Google to make USB type C port come up Is USB C or USB type C either of those words? We can't say port I will accept either of those You cannot use the word port Yeah, we can use port. Okay. Significantly harder. So Europe iPhone plug? New iPhone charger. New iPhone charger? Yeah, because it was lightning and now it's USB-C. Yeah, but if you type that, you might not get USB-C. You might just get like MagSafe and other new chargers. MagSafe's a good... I think if you type Europe iPhone... Standard iPhone? Oh, we can't say iPhone. Wait, can we not say iPhone?
10:17You can say iPhone. Yeah, we can say iPhone. Okay. Europe iPhone cable. Could have done this for three seconds. plug cable I think cable would be better standard standard well we need to have like cable in there somewhere because there's just Europe iPhone standard that might work Europe iPhone cable plug plug plug plug Europe iPhone plug Europe iPhone plug that's not what I would do what would you have done well I feel like plug assumes the thing you put in the wall that's what I That's why I like cable a little better, but I don't... Europe has the three-prong. Oh, it might do the adapter. Europe has the adapter.
10:56It might list like an... But if you say iPhone... I'd do cable. I would do Europe iPhone. All right, you got it, guys.
11:02Andrew Edwards:Okay. Nice job. It was a little dicey. It was pretty low on the page. Oh, wow. Oh, it just has to be on the first page? Yes. You got a lot of Euro plugs. Like adapters. You have to be in the first link, I feel like. That would make this really hard. Really hard. Should we do it? You could do, if it's the first link, it's two points. Nah. Okay. Yeah. I'm not going to remember that. Let's keep the rules the same. All right. The phone zone. Phone zone. Are you ready to compete? Lock in. Yes. I'm locked in. Lock in, guy who tried to kill me last match. I don't know what that means, but sure. Can I play defense?
11:33Andrew Edwards:Okay, ready? Does your sport have defense in it? Yeah, a long sport has defense in it. Okay. Okay. Go. Guys, what is it? I knew it was going to do that. That hurt so bad. Is that defense or is it just interference? Okay, guys, what is the name of Apple's VR headset? Okay, Apple's VR headset. You cannot use Apple, VR, or headset to surface the name of this. That's hard. Vision Pro. Okay. You can't say Apple? No. M5. How about best AR? Wait, you can't say AR or VR? You can say AR. You just can't say VR. How about best AR? Most expensive AR? Or expensive AR? expensive AR iPhone because that'll connect it to Apple M5 AR M5 AR expensive M5 AR didn't they add like a panoramic feature or something that's not going to be the headline I need an answer here expensive AR what was that the other one we did M5 AR expensive M5 AR expensive in that order yeah or expensive m5 ar there is a drug it looks like can i guess one just okay there's a firearm be called the arrow precision ar or the arrow precision m5 otherwise known as the ar m5 which is um clouding a lot of these results these are all about guns wait can i guess one just for fun even though i don't get away or i already get make sure it's not on there yeah unfortunately Unfortunately, that is a point for Andrew.
13:12Andrew Edwards:This one routinely stumped our test set. I got it. Vision OS. You cannot use the word vision. I can't use vision? No. Okay, so$3 ,500 XR headset. You cannot use headset. You can't use it. It's the Apple Vision Pro. I can use headset? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah. I know. I just wanted to show them up. Just wanted to flex on them. All right. Vision OS. Vision OS. It's not vision. It's vision OS. It's one word. is it one word? it is one word it doesn't matter because we're back to team the missing president yeah shut up Marquez take it away the T-Mobile hip top what's up bestie two scrawny white guys do internet meme guys the T-Mobile hip top was also known as what?
14:00Andrew Edwards:I don't know the hip top was the oh gosh I don't know what the hip top was It's been a trivia question before It's the most popular The sidekick But we can't use sidekick Why not Oh whose music video was that Is her song called sidekick No but there's one where she uses it in the beginning of the music video Phone beginning music video Sorry sorry No Okay I got it I got it phone music excel oh kiss me through your phone that is pretty good it's a soldier boy video I don't know is it the sidekick? you didn't say anything I started to and then you talked over me we were over it I'm sorry guys that did not what was yours what was yours mine was Kim Possible Rufus that's three words that's an animated show Kim Possible's a name yeah but it's his sidekick but her sidekick so in test subjects the two groups that did get this.
15:04Andrew Edwards:The first one Googled superhero other guy. And then I... Superhero other guy? Superhero being one word. A lot of compound words here. The other one that worked was Tony Hawkphone. Tony Hawkphone. Sidekick. He was in all the ads for it. So it was the sidekick, right? It was the sidekick. Marquez, congratulations on your point. Hard earned. I'll take it. Thank you for the point. Also, Andrew was Kelly Rowland. it's not Silver Boy oh it's Kelly what song do you remember it was Dilemma by Nelly and Kelly wait can you search the Kim Possible ones see if it shows up Kim Possible Rufus Kim Possible Rufus it probably says sidekick somewhere in there which is why I was trying to talk but what we have had to do oh come on it was after the thing it was not on okay okay there you go alright okay the original wait this is Team Lawn Sports The original iPod's physical appearance was inspired by the Braun T3 radio, which was designed by who?
16:11I don't know this one.
16:13Andrew Edwards:I'm trying to... This is a trivia question. He was the lead designer at Braun. This is someone we've talked about before. One of the most famous designers of all time. Yes. I should not have said that. I still have no idea who it is. Most famous designers. I don't know. I just Google most famous designers. Honestly, that's an excellent scrap. Yeah. Or famous industrial designer. Do you think it's one of the most famous designers of all time? Famous product designers? Need an answer. Wow, that's why I said industrial. Famous product designers. Honestly, yeah. That's a really good one, to be honest.
16:50Yep, he's there. Dieter Rams.
16:52Andrew Edwards:Incredible work, Marquez. Good job, Marquez. Thank you. All right, go vague. All right. Honestly, yeah, go vague. Go vague. Shoot, I'm falling behind right now. This is team phone zone. All right, phone zone. Best deal, let's go. Let's do it. Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, once made a video on something called Aerosnap, which was a window management app for what operating system? Aerosnap. So that was for XP to be a Vista feature because it was built into Vista, but I made a video on getting Aerosnap for XP. Okay, so XP is what we have to figure out. So we just need to Google best Windows version.
17:30And XP has to be on the first page. How about old Windows versions? Or famous wallpaper, too. Famous Windows wallpaper or something. Famous Windows wallpaper. Yeah. Yeah, let's do that. Famous Windows wallpaper. All right, congratulations. I remember making that video. I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't even know what that is. I got you.
17:58Andrew Edwards:should we go around one more time and move on to the next game yeah like this that was good yeah we have to do a full cycle yeah one more cycle one more cycle so three more questions yeah all right bestie i've got all right i won't yell at you this time i'm just kidding no promises they started the timer way faster on that one and we were yeah team missing president apple used to make a router what was it called power is that what it was called it's airport extreme. Airport extreme? I think it just could, yeah, airport or airport extreme. Oh, uh, EWR. Why don't we just do an airport? Oh, yeah.
18:38LaGuardia, EWR, JFK. Yeah. LaGuardia, SFO. Yeah. Just like LGA, SFO, JFK. Do EWR instead of JFK. EWR, SFO, LGA. no parking or something it's just gonna say airports that's fine do you have to say extreme too or no no oh you said it just says to do airport they had a regular one called the airport and then there was an airport extreme
19:08Andrew Edwards:we were looking for airport extreme but I will give you airport because that was a product sorry to cut you off on your thought but there was the easier version available David's second point you have more than two points you should have three points because you got the one with Marquez on that last one Team Lawn Sports, in June of 2013, Google purchased this company for$1.3 billion. What was that company? 2013? Apple. So this is post-YouTube. It was 07 for a billion. Here's a hint. Marquez uses this every day. Is it post-YouTube? Fitbit? Fitbit. Okay, so... That was too long ago. I'm not... Sorry.
19:51I'm not going to stop talking. fitness tracker do you think it's fitbit? I don't know what else it would be what else they buy for a billion dollars wearable fitness tracker I don't know what else is it not fitbit? I don't know the answers they didn't buy fitbit I'm good at the other part
20:05Andrew Edwards:it's not fitbit but I'm really curious if it'll happen to come up we could also google largest google acquisitions it was 2021 when they bought fitbit sorry we were looking for ways that is a fifth point when do they buy fitbit 2021? you're the one that's a computer Would it be allowed for me to say... I can't say Google, probably. You might have been able to get away with... Can I get a point for that, Adam? Damn. I do use Waze every day. That's good. Good job. Waze sucks. So I got that point, right? You gave me that point? You're right. You're right. Just making sure you guys gave me the point.
20:43Rufus, did we give him the point? Did we give him the point?
20:47Andrew Edwards:David. David the point? Oh, because they got it wrong. Yeah. Oh, my God.
20:54I think there was only two of those.

20:56Andrew Edwards:Don't talk to my boy, Rufus. Okay, sorry. Ellis' web app that was delivered doesn't have a plus or minus button. It just has a left button and a right button. Excel. It's just Excel. We should just use Excel. Web app was delivered. Web app delivered. The phone zone. What iconic designer is responsible for brushed aluminum? the death of skeuomorphism and Steve Jobs yacht. Ferrari Luce designer. You can't say designer. Ferrari Luce guy. Bald guy. Love from. Do you say Apple in that? Honestly, you could just go one shot love from. Apple love from guy. Yeah. You want to go bald? No, it's a brand. Love from is one word.
21:42It's a one word. It's one word. Also, we could just do love from and it'll come up. I know, but let's just do Apple love from guy. Sure. You didn't say Apple in the question of this one? I didn't say Apple.
21:53Andrew Edwards:Yep, good saying. All right, way to go. Let's go. Easy. That was the easiest one. That was the easiest one. Yeah. We have one more game before we go to break. Okay. Okay. This one will also be done in teams. So you'll be able to... Same kind of teams. Same kind of teams. We're just going to keep it going. This game is called... That's a totally normal thing to say. Jesus. We did a version of this in the past where I gave you quotes and you had to guess which tech CEO said it. This one has a twist. The twist is, if you think that this quote is in fact a totally normal thing to say, I will give you five points on the spot for tweeting it out of context right now.
22:39Andrew Edwards:What? Yeah. I haven't tweeted in three years. You. If you both teammates want the points, you both have to tweet it. I feel like the five points should be weighted. Are they... Fine. I'll come up with a specific point value for each one. Are they things that these CEOs have said? Yeah. They're taken completely out of... They're direct quotes. They're taken completely out of context. And we're also not billionaires. No. Maybe people will understand that we're quoting the CEOs and they won't... You have to do it right now, which means... Right now. You go almost a week before the context comes out about it.
23:18Andrew Edwards:Andrew, you see now why I messaged you asking if you had any active social media accounts related to your internet personality. Oh, I have to tweet it. You have to tweet it. I would post that shit on LinkedIn, every single one. Honestly, I would put that on LinkedIn right now. Yeah. Do Twitter. Are you sure about that? Do Twitter, wait. Do Twitter, because David's doing his... So, David, you're willing to tweet or post on LinkedIn whatever I'm about to say right now? That's an Ilhan quote. because I really don't want to post any along quotes. Some of these are going to be multiple choice because not all tech CEOs are household names.
23:50Andrew Edwards:If they are a household name, I will probably not make it multiple choice. In this house? Team missing president. Okay. The quote is, let me show you, but first, let's set the mood. Was it said by A, Google CEO Sundar Pichai? No. B, future Apple CEO John Ternus? Maybe. C, Apple executive Craig Federighi? or D, Milwaukee Bucks power forward Kyle Kuzma. That's not a CEO. Neither is Craig. Oh, yeah. We're just executives. I think it's Craig. Probably Craig Federighi for sure. Yeah, Craig Federighi is correct. Well done. I would tweet that right now. I'll give you... I think Marquez is right. It's going to be a scare.
24:36Andrew Edwards:I'll give you one point for tweeting that out of context. But Andrew also needs to tweet. I'm not tweeting. I'm not tweeting anything. So I'm screwed. Because nobody else has the doll. David, I'll change that rule. If you want to tweet, let me show you, but first I'll set the mood. Out of context. Is that worth it? Right now, I'll give you one point. Let's move on. I'll think about it. All right. Team Lawn Sports. The quote is, Dr. ChatGPT is a better doctor than 99 % of doctors. Hint, the VC firm owned by this person invests in a medical LLM. Yep. Was it A, Don Valentine, founder of Sequoia? B, Mark Andreessen?
25:21That's who I was going to guess.
25:22Andrew Edwards:We all know Mark Andreessen. C, Chumoth, the king of SPAC? Or D, Larry Page? I think Mark Andreessen. I'll go with that. That sounds like something he would say and invest heavily into something along those lines. Final answer, Mark Andreessen? I trust you. Let's do it. Mark Andreessen is correct. You shook your head no first. But that was probably just because you were thinking about what he said. All right. Team Phone Zone. Are you ready for the next quote? I'm ready. The next quote. Okay. This one's a long one. Oh. Okay. We ask not what you can do for your country. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, people of the internet, for blocking my face.
26:01Andrew Edwards:I just, I need to read this. All right. The quote is, The infinite bowl-making machine. It can make salads. It can make fast, casual Mexican. It can make Greek bowls. Pokey, any kind of bowl. The beautiful thing about this machine is the bowl is actually on a maglev. Was this quote said by... A, Scott Boatwright, CEO of Chipotle. B, Jonathan Neiman, the CEO of Sweetgreen. C, Jalen Brunson, investor and board member of Just Salad. Notice how I didn't say NBA champion. Or D, Mark Lohr, the CEO of Wonder. I don't really know any of these guys, but I'm going to guess D because Wonder makes a lot of different types of foods.
26:46Yeah, I don't know this either. Unless you want to go with Sweet Green or Just Salad. I don't want to. Let's go with D.
26:55Andrew Edwards:D is correct. Let's go. Although it is worth noting, he is describing a patent that he bought off of the people at Sweet Green. Infinite point machine, am I right? That's right. Wait, they got infinite points from that? Do you know what Wonder is? I have no idea. It's like a restaurant that has many restaurants. Oh, like a ghost kitchen? No one wants to tweet that? I'll give you three points for tweeting that. That bowl machine thing? The infinite bowl machine, yeah. Wasn't it a whole thing? How long do I have to keep it on my page for? Ever. Until this episode comes out plus a week. Jeez. Because then people can go to your Twitter and see.
27:34Andrew Edwards:I think there will be better quotes. I think there will be better quotes. Okay, fine. How about this one? I don't know about better. Team Missing President, the quote is, and this is not a multiple choice one. All right, bestie, let's go. I just killed a pig and a goat. I know who that is. Give me the answers. It sounds like Zuck. Give me the questions. Give me the questions. There's no multiple choice. Oh, I'm guessing Zuck. This sounds like Zuck. And his, yeah, cattle farm-esque stuff. I'm down for Mark Zuckerberg. Oh, yeah, I didn't. Yeah. This is definitely Zuck. Yeah, no, that's a Zuck one.
28:06That's Zuck for sure. Nice job, guys. That's the team is a quote you could have ever picked. I would still rather tweet about the infinite bowl machine, though.
28:15Andrew Edwards:Here's another one. This is for team lawn games. Lawn games. Thank you. Lawn sports. Lawn sports. It's a sport, not a game, mom. Dota 2 is a sport, not a game. I think a majority of people don't enjoy the majority of time they spend making music. Yeah. Was this A, the CEO of Micron? Wasn't it? Oh, wait, sorry. Sorry. Thank you. Was it A, Mikey Schulman, CEO of Suno? Was it B, Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify? Was it C, Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir? Or was it D, Kyle Kuzma, power forward for the Milwaukee Bucks? You think it's Spotify? Over Suno, the one that does AI music? Oh, damn. I think. You think it's that?
29:08You might be right, but it makes more sense for it to be A. A didn't answer. A. Okay. A. Nice.
29:14Andrew Edwards:You guys, no one's gotten one of these wrong. That's crazy. Yeah. We're cooking. Now I know who that carp guy is. Alex Carp is the Palantir. Yeah. Nice. Combine technology and markets, and you get what Nick Lanz has termed the techno capital machine, the engine of perpetual material creation, growth, and abundance. We believe the techno capital machine of markets and innovation never ends, but instead spirals continuously upward. Isn't that also Marc Andreessen? Yeah, it was Marc Andreessen. We'll take the points. We'll take the points. Incredible. Fine. These people say these things. All right.
29:59Andrew Edwards:This will be the last one before we go to break. executives have like podcasts and twitter that was actually from his manifesto yeah from the techno optimist manifesto what's even what the the funniest part when i was reading that manifesto looking for quotes yeah was um at the end he's that's why you're reading it yeah at the end he's like if you want to read more of these ideas you should check out these authors and the first author on the lift list no it was the beff jzos twitter account what a loser all right this is another long one. Are you guys ready? What team was that? That was you. Phone Zone.
30:32Andrew Edwards:Oh, Phone Zone. Yeah, so it's us now. This one is not multiple choice. Okay. So there's three more? You're doing three more? I think this is going to be the last one, and I think this one I'll open it up to everybody. Don't you have to end on Phone Zone? Yeah, but I want to do one more. Oh. So this one, no teams. Oh, this is just anyone? Yeah, yeah. Elon Musk. Why don't we whiteboard this one? We're going to break. Oh, okay. Everyone have a whiteboard? Yep. Okay. This is a long one, so pay attention. All right. I think the only way to solve obesity in America is to allow anybody to eat as much as they want of anything with no self-control or changes to their physical activity whatsoever.
31:10Andrew Edwards:It has to be the holy grail or we're all just going to keep dying of obesity and related problems. And so if you're a food scientist, you generally make things out of foodstuffs. And I think that's a big mistake. If you're a chemical engineer or a material engineer and you want to make something with a certain texture, a certain feel, a certain property, you start with long chains of hydrocarbons, oil. It is the perfect building block for everything. You can build tires, gels, glues. You can build anything out of it. So if you're going to try to make a fake burger that tastes like a real burger and feels like a real burger, why would you start with plants?
31:56Andrew Edwards:You wouldn't build tires out of plants. You wouldn't build gels out of plants. Why not? You wouldn't build rubber out of plants. So why would you try to make something that has many of those same properties out of plants? Because plants suck. So if you could make synthetic foods out of petroleum derivatives, you can make foods that have largely the same characteristics as real foods, but have zero calories because your bodies can't process them. That's... Is there multiple choice? No. Oh. That was a tweet? No. Wait, sorry. That was said during an interview where this guy went so far off topic and then just dropped that absolute banger.
32:40While barefoot.
32:41Andrew Edwards:Oh, yeah. While barefoot. He was not wearing shoes. Oh, that changes everything. Yeah. And not like he was in his house. It seemed like he was in a studio. I think it's that guy that I don't remember his name that I just learned about what his name was, but I wrote something else. All right. What do we got? I said Elon. Elon is unfortunately incorrect. That's really. I said Elon. That is unfortunately incorrect. I said the David Bars guy. Is that a guy? Yeah. The guy who made David Bars? Oh. It could be a woman. That was everyone's favorite. Careful.
33:17Andrew Edwards:Careful. Everyone's favorite in Minecraft. Palmer Luckey. Oh. Palmer Luckey wants you to eat petroleum. He didn't even talk about weapons once. What? He didn't even talk about weapons once. or how cool is Game Boy? Or is Game Boy or is waifus? He talked more about weapons in this interview than the Game Boy, if I remember correctly. It was a long one. This was when I had to comb through and then when I found this gem about how you can eat as much petroleum as you want and not get fat because there's no calories that you... Anyway. Yeah, Rufus brought up a really good point. Rubber's a plant! Well, you also brought up the point that gasoline by weight is one of the most calorie-rich foods you know.
34:02If you ate a gallon of gasoline, you would be fed for the rest of your life. Anyway, don't eat gasoline. I don't recommend it. How many calories are in a gallon of gasoline? We'll be right back.

Welcome back, everybody, to Return of Trivia Extravaganza. I should have tweeted.
34:57Andrew Edwards:Guys, you should have tweeted. You should have tweeted all of it. Yeah, true. Every single one. Especially the petroleum one. That one would have been annoying just to type. I would have. Honestly, yeah. It would have probably been obnoxious enough that people would have realized it was not something I would be normally saying. We're playing more Team Extrivia, Travaganza, Supa. Extrivia. The greatest thing ever. We're going to play a round of Taboo. it's exactly like the it's nothing it's nothing like the trademarked game taboo you know where I'm going to there's going to be teams again the same three teams we've been doing this whole time I'm going to slack you or excuse me I'm going to slack one of you a word and then you need to give your partner three words that are not that word to have them guess the word I slacked you for example maybe Adam gets the word I can't think of anything that's not on this list right now because my brain is fried from the heat sure SM7B yeah exactly I'll slack Adam sure SM7B and then Adam would say to his hypothetical to Rufus my podcast mic and then Rufus would say SM7B we all make sense we're clear so only one guess from the guesser one single word got it Not one single guess.
36:22Andrew Edwards:Some of the answers have multiple words. Team, missing presidents. It is so hot in here. I have a fine layer of moisture. Wait, so how is... I know what you're going to ask, and I have the answer right now. I am going to ask which one of you wants to be the receiver of my word and which one of you wants to be the guesser of your partner's clues. What do you want to do? Do you want to be clue giver or clue guesser? Clue giver. Okay. All right, David. I'm going to give her like chaparron. And obviously you cannot use, I just slacked the two, you cannot use any of the words that I just gave you. Okay, so only three words?
37:00Andrew Edwards:Yes, you have three words to give to Andrew.
37:10Okay. Third Apple phone. Can I say that? I will not let you use the word phone. well yeah that's i think it's an auto loss that ruined third apple handheld what do you think i need to confer with the council i will allow it it is allowed iphone 3gs team missing presidents
37:35Andrew Edwards:you've each been awarded one point yes all right team phone zone it is yeah it is a tough one of if you say the word, but it can't be used. Well, the one that I was stuck on was you said third, and it's 3GS. And I was like... Third spelled out is different than the number. I know, but it's the same thing. So I was like, but you're right. That's the conclusion I came to as well. So I was like, all right, fine. What do you want to do? I'm about to make these harder. Okay. Glad I got the point. Let me go Clue. I'll go Giver. I'll go Clue. Okay. Yeah, yeah. I'll guess. Great. Wow. That's... Yeah, okay.
38:11Well, great. This is going to suck. I'm going to try my best. Marcus says no. Oh, it's on my Slack. You have the word. Oh, okay.
38:21Typing bad switches.
38:28Bad switches. So mechanical, mechanical, the red, the good switches for typing. So the bad switches for typing are like rubber, which are like chicklets.
38:38Andrew Edwards:I got to pick one word for a bad type. Not one word. Not one word. This particular one has two words as the answer. But you get one guess. Chiclet style. Is that? I don't know enough about keywords to know if that's correct or not. I don't think so. Butterfly keyboard? Yeah, there's a lot. I'm sorry. I should have went laptop more. Honestly, me being me is probably what screwed that up. Broken MacBook feature. Broken MacBook. I couldn't say keys or buttons, I guess I could have said. Bad Apple buttons. bad apple buttons if I said crappy macbook switches would you have gotten that I should have said macbook I know I know the minute you said reds I was like oh give David a point thank you he did it was done phone zone who will receive my word do you want me to receive it again who wants to receive the word I'll try it.
39:41I'll try it. Let's give it some Marquez. I'll try it. I'll give the clues. I'm a little scared, but.
39:50Okay, I got it.
39:54Worst product ever. Humane AI pin.
40:01Andrew Edwards:That is one phone zone point. Nice. Congratulations. All right, back to team missing presidents. I was like, that's too vague, which is really bad for humane that it was that vague and you got in 0.5 seconds. That's an easy point, yeah. What do you want to do? We got it right last time. Okay. Should we run it back? I was kind of cheating though. So it's up to you. What do you think? Can I try and redeem myself from the other dean? Sure, yeah. Okay, I'll do the clue again. All right, I'll be the receiver. You have to delete this. You have to delete this. Okay, between CPU fan. No. What? That's unacceptable, but I think you're wrong.
40:43Andrew Edwards:Am I right? Just let them... Those are his three words. Between CPU and fan. So it's either thermal paste or filter. Thermal paste? I thought thermal paste goes between your CPU and your heatsink. But I could still tell that score. Well, the heatsink's connected to the fan. The heatsink's two words. That was a good enough clue. You're right. No, you're right. I shouldn't have interfered. They worried me about... I'm like, I'm pretty sure I've built more computers than Ellis. I would have said thermal paste too. Someone write down that Ellis has minus one point for that one. That was good. That was good.
41:16All right. That was a good... I don't think I could have done that as well, so that's good. That one stumped a lot of people. I would have said on top CPU. Yeah. Yeah. I guess you could have thought the heat sink was on top CPU. Cooling CPU gel.
41:30Andrew Edwards:Gel would have been a good... Yeah. CPU cooling gel. I used goop in all of mine. But anyway, Team Lawn Sports. Do you want to do a clue this time? Sure. I'm going to clue. Sorry, Marquez is doing the clue.
42:00I'm going to need something. Intel-based or... Apple Silicon. Yeah, I think that's what you would, yeah. It's AMD. It's ARM.
42:14Andrew Edwards:We were looking for ARM, Advanced Risk Machine. I don't know what I've gotten someone to say. Not leg butt. Oh, ARM. Not leg butt. I would say, oh. Start of hand. I would say M-Series Architecture. Wait, does the hand start of hand? Under, I guess I could have just said, yeah. M-Series Architecture. Between hand and shoulder. I would have gotten that wrong. I'm being honest. Okay. That was dumb of me. I could have said that. No, that was a hard one, Marquez. That was a really hard one. I would have screwed that. David is cooking us. This is crazy. Phone's on. Phone's on. Okay. All right. Yeah.
42:49Remember, Marquez, if I win, you win. Right. Are you cluing or am I cluing? Do you want to be the receiver or the giver? You'll clue. I'll guess. I'll clue. Yeah. I'll clue for you. Oh, come on. Okay. What, David? Mark Zuckerberg film. The Social Network. Yes! Pretty good. Nice. Nice. I was saying that's really easy, but I think that's just a really good clue. I was like, Marquez doesn't watch movies. I know that one, though. Okay, that's good. Yeah. Legendary film. All right. David Fincher movie. David Fincher Andrew. Who?
43:24Andrew Edwards:That's true. Andrew Garfield, wasn't it? David Fincher Andrew Garfield Manganielli. That's our team name. Who wants to be the guesser and who wants to receive the clue? You choose the clue. You want me to... You choose whichever you want to do. Oh. You do it for me. Okay. Yeah.
43:46What is it, Andrew? Kodak Film.
43:56ISO.
44:02It's like ASA, but like I can't. What? Go back, film ISO. I should have thought of it. Sensitivity? No. I was just thinking of standard ISO as Portrait 800. Marquez, that's a point for you. I am so happy to take that point. You didn't even guess the type of film. No, because... What clue would you have given for Portrait 800? Has given you for Portrait 800? Nothing. thing you wouldn't have gotten any that one was really that's why nobody likes film all right wow i wish tim was here lawn sports my man lawn sports do you want what do you want oh sorry wow what do you want to do um let's have you clue okay let's do it i would have said best kodak film i've only ever heard of kodak portrait 400 so i just assumed that was the one everyone loves.
45:01It is. I like 800 better. That's really nice.
45:06Andrew Edwards:Marques does not need to give me this exact name. Okay, I'm going to say a word. You'll know it or you won't. Okay, but I'm going to say a word and tell me really quick if it's one or two. Mac OS. That's fine. Mac OS freezing icon.
45:25Mac OS freezing icon.
45:31Mac OS freezing, freezing icon?
45:35Andrew Edwards:Need an answer. When he gets it wrong, can I just try one different word and see if he gets it from that? Sure, but David will be receiving. Yes, but David will be receiving the point. Yeah, I don't know. Mac OS freezing cursor. Oh, beach ball. Damn. Oh, icon. I was thinking of icons. I know. It's also beach ball of death. That was word for word. That's what he wrote, but yeah. David, congratulations on the point. Sorry, I used icon instead of cursor. I still think. Keep it cooking. I have to be real real quick. What? We still do? In the middle of the podcast? It's 2000. I don't even know if I'm in it.
46:09Andrew Edwards:I don't see. What is this? This is the fakest thing I've ever seen you do. I like. No, it's a. I've never seen you be real once in your life. I just started doing it again with two people. Why? What? Because it's the only way we communicate. Oh, my God. All right. Team PhoneZone. No. Yes. Team PhoneZone. Are we having fun? Do we want to do one more of these? I like this. I like this except for when our team gets it. I don't care about that. Alright, team phone zone. I feel like I let someone down. Do you want me to clue? Yeah, because I clued for you last time. Alright, I'll clue. That was a very intense look for a second.
46:46Peace you gave me. I'm ready.
46:57Weekly? No, that's not what I want to say. I don't know where you're going with that. Sorry, yeah, I don't want to say that. I'm going to erase that from my brain. Okay. Strike it. Pre-YouTube video. Pre-YouTube video. What was before YouTube? In a time before YouTube. TV show? Flash? We were looking for... Daily motion. Dailymotion? That's a really specific one. Yeah, there's a couple. Dailymotion is not the one where they were like all died, right? What's the one that had all the animations? That was LiveLeak you're thinking of. LiveLeak is that? You're thinking of like either E-Bombs World or - No, LiveLeak does not have animations.
47:43No, yeah. What's the one with all the animations? Miniclip? Yeah, Miniclip or E-Bombs World. They all had like Flash animations. But there was one where a bunch of careers got kicked off from this website. College Famer?
47:56Andrew Edwards:Did you say Miniclip? No, Miniclip was a game website. I know. I had a one of the keyword search questions that we didn't use mini clip was was the answer and I was like there's no way any of them know what that is oh we don't of course we are you're younger than all of us are you thinking of Newgrounds Newgrounds Newgrounds yeah I was gonna try to do something like weekly movement daily motion is a really specific version of it daily motion is what I got I never really watched daily motion actually weekly was probably a better clue I don't even know what you mean by that yeah I I realized it would have taken too many words to do that.
48:32One more round? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Damn, Andrew, I'm going for that. Yeah. So that's me and Andrew. I'm really cooked on the team stuff. I'm getting... Okay, you clue because of how mad you were at me last time. What? Give him a keyboard one so I can call him an idiot. I didn't call you an idiot. I said that was a dumb question. Because nobody else knows the shit I know. Good save. nobody here cares about the same I care about like streetlight manifesto I'd laugh so hard if the thing you just sent him was streetlight manifesto I should have used that one okay device painting company colorware colorware is correct good job using painting and not coloring well dbrand would be the other thing you would think of oh I see but they don't paint that was money I'll clue this one I'll stop the world and clue for you wait you haven't gotten any of them right like I said I'm getting cooked right now and David has way too many points alright I just have to get him to say that yes
49:46that would get you 10 points if you tweeted yeah anthropics LLM name.
49:53Andrew Edwards:I should have made a rule about that. Damn it. It sounds too easy. Claw? Okay. My bad. Minus two points for Ellis. If you'd put Anthropic in there, it would have been harder. But I feel like that was pretty easy. That was hella easy. That was pretty easy. That was easier than the Windows XP one. I ruined it. I ruined everything. You guys want to hear a fun fact? Okay. So, back in the day, around the time in the Great Gatsby time. They had this special glass that you would look at, that you would look at sunsets. You would look at the reflection of a sunset, and it was almost like an ND filter, but also a mirror.
50:33And it was called clawed glass. And you would use it to watch the sunset. Where did you learn about this? On a podcast.
50:40Andrew Edwards:Okay, because I'm reading a book right now, and I learned about what this is like two days ago. It's called The Great Gatsby. No, no. it's called yeah the Alps a human history from Hannibal to Heidi and beyond by Stephen O'Shea and they talk about Claude Glass in that yeah they do yeah anyway I was thinking that I wonder if Claude Anthropic is supposed to be like a looking glass you're looking in a mirror sort of at it's a reflection of humanity yeah damn that might be too deep for them I think that's what it might be about maybe I just I thought it was Claude Monet I thought they were just like And then Google's like, nano banana.
51:20Andrew Edwards:All right, last one before we take it to break. Okay. Bard. This is team... Phone zone? Phone zone. Phone zone. Yep. Do you want to clue or... I'll do it for you because you just did it for me. Okay. Send it, Ellis. I did. Okay.
51:43Apple 720p screen. iPhone 10R
51:53Andrew Edwards:I hate the sight for my answer I was looking for retina display yeah remember when Steve Jobs branded in retina was it 480 retina was just a matter it's a moving target but it is a pixel density over like 350 or something on your phone because you can't discern individual pixels yeah I should have said like Apple minimum pixel. You should say, you know, like can't see pixels or something. But 720p specifically was like a big talking point with the iPhone XR because it was like a, oh, only 720p. And everyone was like, well, you can't really tell. It's basically, you know, John Morrison like taped the outsides of two of them and put them next to each other.
52:34Well, it was also that it was an LCD though. Whereas the regular 10 was an OLED. But I remember the 720p bothering people on that one. I went a little too nerdy on that. But that, no, I get it. That was close. No, that was a tough thing. That was tough. How far behind am I? I'm getting... I mean, we just gave Andrew a point, too. Oh, no. I might have gotten the worst of that last game. Sorry, I'm going to get the 300-point question.
52:59Andrew Edwards:We'll be right back after this break, everybody! What could I have said to get 800 in one word?
53:16Welcome back to the final segment of Waitform Trivia Extravaganza, The Return Of.
53:24Andrew Edwards:We're going to be doing a game that we've already played. It's called Reddit Feud. It was invented by Rufus. It's awesome. It's one of my favorite games. I'm going to read you a Reddit post. Quen then performed a sentiment analysis. I repeat, sentiment analysis on the comments of said Reddit post. and you guys have to tell or divided it into the top 10 things that people commented. You have to guess what the most common things people commented. Not the most upvoted. The most common things that people commented. And it's like the we say one thing when we buzz? Yes. Okay. And when you get it right you have control of the board.
54:01Andrew Edwards:Meaning you can guess until you get it wrong. It's like That seems well. So well it's hard. Can I ask a question that you don't have to leave in the pod? It's fine. if so it's not taking into account upvotes no this is the most common thing people commented i feel like that's like not accurately describing the comment section of a reddit thing because you can assume that every upvote counts as the same thing said again you sound like a real redditor i know we can make it most upvoted we have those comments with us but that makes the game so much harder because you're guessing what one person out of 10 no yeah i guess like it's if it's I promise.
54:41Andrew Edwards:I see what you mean. This really distills the opinions of Reddit down into a hive mind. When we get through this. Okay. All right. Rufus, since you unfortunately have to leave to go to Philadelphia, God's country, would you like to pick the question that we open up with? Hello, dear listener slash viewer. So this is Adam coming from the future to tell you that this particular part of the podcast was a little bit hard to show visually what was happening with the score. Thankfully, Ellis and Rufus had a nifty app that they were using to keep track of the score. So the winner at the end is the correct winner.
55:14All the points were accounted for. But there's just so many points up for grabs here that it didn't really make sense to show it in the edit. So, yeah, let's get back into it. How do we buzz? What is the... Yeah, let's... What's the rule of answering the question? Well, you just buzz. Like, I'm going to read you this question. And then you can sort of buzz. And then once you buzz, you answer the question. and then if you get it right, you can answer more questions or you can keep guessing of other things. So there's going to be the 10 most popular answers. So you can just keep trying to shoot for other answers on the board if you get it right.
55:48If you get it wrong, you die and your chance goes to somebody. Anybody else can then just buzz in whenever they want. So it becomes anyone's game. We'll start off with question number one, straight and simple. If you were given a one-way ticket to Mars, would you do it? from r slash ask reddit oh I can go? I wouldn't want to be first
56:12Andrew Edwards:that is yep that's the number 4 answer wait for later missions sorry you're right you're right only if it is SpaceX no I don't think so no number 2 answer Okay, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. No. Thanks? Give me a reason why no. I don't want to die. There we go. Okay. No is the number eight answer. No fear of death slash survival concerns. But there's also no, that's the number two answer. I mean, there's a few different, like, it's either sort of like yes and no and. Oh. Yes. Because it's Mars. Yeah. Okay. That's pretty much the number one answer. Okay. Yes, pioneer slash explorer spirit. No, because I live a happy, fulfilled life on Earth.
57:14That is the number two answer. No, because Elon. Okay. That was a good one. Got another rule. Snooze, you lose. But when is this question done? No, because I would die before getting there.
57:33Andrew Edwards:That has already been done That is no Wait Oh because it's too far away Nah Nah Sorry Does this even work Give me a second Andrew No David You can go out and do that How about Let's send Elon instead That's a good one No No Yes Because I want to meet the aliens No people continually guess that In our test rounds But Was not on there Andrew Yes, because I have a blue check on Twitter.
58:09No, I'd want a round trip. No, I don't want to spend the rest of my life on Mars. Oh, wait, yeah, one-way ticket. It'll take too long to get there. Wait, is that what he said? Oh, I see what you mean. I thought Marquez meant like, I'm going to die before that ever happens.
58:32Andrew Edwards:There's a similar answer to it'll take too long to get there. I'll get bored on the way there. Yeah, the trip there. You're well. Are you still going or is it my turn? It's fine. You know what, David? I'll give you the pity points. Number three is what would you even do there? Oh. Yeah. No, my family's not there. Lack of family? That was actually the number two answer specifically. We've already given you those points. Marquez. I'm going to. Marquez. I missed a Marquez buzz. Couldn't spend that long on a spaceship. David. Yes to eat the rocks. That's good. Not on the board. Dang. That's a Reddit answer.
59:12No, it's cold. Number 10. Yeah, that's number 10. Only if certain conditions are dead. No, how would I breathe. Sorry. All right.
59:24Andrew Edwards:David. No, how would I breathe. Oh.
59:30Andrew Edwards:How many more are there? Can you read it one more time? There are four left. This is on AskReddit, r slash AskReddit. If given a one-way ticket to Mars, would you do it? Marques. I don't know. I don't know? That's not on there, but that is exactly the right kind of thinking. David. Yes, I hate being here. No. I think we can... I'd try anything once. that's pretty good honestly what you don't think that's number seven just because the way you said it yeah I'll give a number seven for that I'm cooking what is it it's just like last joke what what huh is your mom one of them that was essentially the vibe yeah I don't want to read the full thing I'll tell you after we're done recording but joke is good enough.
1:00:28Would rather go to a different place in space.
1:00:31Andrew Edwards:Number nine, prefer moon colony instead. Moon. The moon is boring. Oh, sorry. There's two more? Yeah, I can't think of anything else. What would a Redditor be most concerned about? No internet. Oh, I should have buzzed. No internet. No Reddit slash internet access is the sixth highest. Oh my God. My next one was going to be motion sickness. Actually, that was going to be my one until Marques gave it free. There's one left. I don't think you guys are going to get it. Yeah, that's because we should just stop. Andrew, you still have, I think, right? Yeah, that's fine. You don't want to go for this one?
1:01:08Motion sickness? Yeah. Mars ain't the type of place to raise kids. I feel like that is the same as like, I want to eat the rocks. Is it a window seat?
1:01:20Andrew Edwards:All right. So, Andrew, you cleaned house that round. Marquez, you got 57 points. Oh, my God. David, you got 51 points. Okay, that's not that bad. Andrew, you scored 180 points. What? Brother. Oh, brother. Brother. Oh, my God. I'm so bad. The turntables. Okay. I got to lock in. I got to lock in. Those scores already had your previous points factored in as well. This is like the whole thing. Holy. I got locked in. I need to triple my score, and maybe I'll be close to Andrew's score. Oh, my God. Oh, boy. The good news is that's possible. Yeah, it just happened. Guys, this is on r slash stupid questions.
1:02:12Andrew Edwards:It was asked, why are electric cars seen as the ultimate evil these days? because of where you get the minerals for the batteries, the mining, et cetera. That is correct. The number four answer was batteries, mining slash environmental problems. Elon. Yeah, frick. That's nine. Yes. See, virtue signaling. Hold on, hold up. I feel like - Hold your horses. Yeah, whatever. Okay, you said virtue signaling? Yeah. Did you count his Elon one, though? Okay. Number nine was the Elon Musk factor. Okay. You can't even go far. You said range sucks. Yeah. I don't think so. I think it's a bit slightly different.
1:02:51Andrew Edwards:Yeah. I'm sorry. Fire safety.
1:02:56No. Battery fires isn't one of them.
1:03:00Andrew Edwards:Reddit did not think so. Marker. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I keep forgetting to clear the bus. Only rich people can afford them. Yes. Number six, cost and economic returns. Okay. Evil. big heavy batteries and related to big heavy why oh it is a stupid question right it is on r slash stupid yes that is infrastructure capacity issues I'm still going let me coach hold on unfortunately that is correct and then why are they the negative I forgot the question already why are electric cars seen as the ultimate evil taste they're not as the old. They're not. Yeah, they're not. They're not. Good one. That's your answer?
1:03:48They're not. That is the number five answer on the board. No one actually thinks that. Wait, it's the number five? Yeah, number five answer. There tends to always be some Redditorism. Contraryism. Yeah, just OP is wrong. This is not real. Yeah. Damn, Marquez.
1:04:02Andrew Edwards:Catch it up to Andrew. I need another one or two good ones. I cede my time but I'm gonna think real hard. David. Okay. Because assholes own them. Markhead. Wait, everyone stop. Everybody slow down. Is that the number one answer? I don't think so. I think that misses the court. I'm sorry, David. I'm going to give it to David. He's far behind. But I'm ready. Have you seen the way they drive? That is the number eight answer. What? Oh, sorry. Andrew. No, it's still me. Thank you. I lost. The new designs all look weird and evil. Andrew. Autonomous driving. That's a good one. It uses gas to power the electric chargers anyway.
1:04:58Come on, David. You've got to think stupider than this. That is stupid. It takes forever to charge. Really? It's not? Stupider. Stupider. um uh Hillary Clinton yes yes here we go the number one answer political and culture I was looking for it because
1:05:19Andrew Edwards:woke but I will accept Hillary Clinton I thought when Marquez said it's not it counted as the same thing that is the first non Marquez points awarded in this question what I was gonna say Republicans yeah no no but there's specifically some people wrote Elon Musk and then other people wrote because woke and so we decided those should be separate. That makes sense. How many more are there? Three. Are they stupider?
1:05:51Andrew Edwards:Okay. Actually ruin the environment. Oh. They look stupid? I think Marquez said that. Did you? Short lifespan? Oh yeah.
1:06:10the company will always go out of business these aren't stupid enough these also are not stupid questions um funded by Saudis greenwashing etc
1:06:24Andrew Edwards:that was the closest any of you have gotten so far do you think we're going to get it or no all three of these were gotten in our test round hypocrisy no I mean that you're on the right track but no electricity sucks no but that intelligence level yeah they're bad I just like gas cars yeah that's what I was gonna say no engine noise but none of these are why they would be evil that's lumped into car culture they're not why they would be evil did we say car culture yeah it was like how they drive But they're not why they'd be evil. The opposite. They're quiet, so they, like, hit people and stuff.
1:07:05We're in Christ. Yeah.
1:07:07Andrew Edwards:The number 10 answer, public transit would be better. Okay. The number 7 answer, privacy slash tech surveillance fears. Oh, yeah, fair. And number 2. That's just new cars. Government mandates and control. Oh, I forgot they always say that. In the words of Rick Ross, I would never own a Tesla because they would drive me straight to the police. Actually, they did. The Waymo did that recently. They did do that. Rick Ross was right. Notably, Teslas can't drive themselves. Anyway. Hot take. Okay. All right. I got cooked. Can you ask a film question? No, you got the number one, though. Yeah, that's a lot.
1:07:42That's usually a top one. I got nuts. I only got the number one. I'm just glad Andrew didn't get a bunch. I didn't get any. Any? So I have a chance? Hello, chat. Hello. Chat. From r slash out of the loop. Wait, wait. How many points did I get? David, you have 75 points. You have 75 points. Okay. What does Marquez have? 131 points. From that, you still have 180 points. Let's go. I need 180. Wow, I really did cook that one. Yeah. Okay. From r slash out of the loop, what is up with everyone afraid of 5G?
1:08:14Andrew Edwards:David. It gives you COVID. That is number one on the board. David, you just passed Marquez. It gives you cancer. Cancer. Nope. Marquez. Unnecessary, not really better than 4G. That's eight. More expensive. No. Really? Wow. Conspiracy theories. There's more than one conspiracy theory on the board. Mind control. Government surveillance slash mass control fears. Okay. Makes your phone slower. What? Oh, I should say battery life. yeah okay Bill Gates I think that I think that's number six right yeah yeah distrust of tech companies yeah I will accept Bill Gates as an answer for that cool David you have control of the board tech companies are tricking you it's a lie that's what it just was why not 6G oh yeah I feel like making that joke in that thread is a solid...
1:09:29They don't know what the G means, so they're scared of it.
1:09:33Andrew Edwards:Is that number four? I don't think so. I don't know what you mean. Microwaves are cooking your brain. Oh, there we go! Number two answer on the board, radiation slash health concerns, real or perceived. Health concerns. David, with that... Oh, no, never mind. You're still behind Andrew, but you're really close behind Andrew. Okay. Why does everyone hate 5G, that's it? Afraid of 5G. afraid of 5G one afraid of 5G we already talked about government surveillance can you list what we got already you have gotten it's marketing hype slash nothing new you've gotten distrust of big tech slash telecom companies you've gotten government surveillance slash mass control you've gotten radiation and health concerns and you have gotten a COVID conspiracy connection hmm wait it's still me right because I have to watch it.
1:10:24Oh, sure. Yeah, right. David.
1:10:34I don't know. Give it to Marquez. Marquez. Don't know what we would do with it because the robot surgeries are not a real thing.
1:10:43Andrew Edwards:No, I'm sorry. David. It doesn't do anything they say it does. Nah. Nah. Okay. Actually, because you specifically said they, I'm going to give you number 10. General distrust of authority. Nice. I'm sorry. You're still going. You're still going. Oh, I'm still going. Yeah. It makes you sick. Did you do that already? I know. It's not that bad. It's fine. There's nothing wrong with it. There has to be somebody in there being like. Because they're asking what is up with everyone who's afraid, yeah. These companies have hurt me in the past, or have hurt us in the past. I will give you number four for that.
1:11:28Andrew Edwards:Anti-technology slash it's too fast. Anti-technology is different from distrust of tech? Yeah. Distrust of authority was what you guys... Wasn't there distrust of tech companies too? That's why Bill Gates... No, that was... Where was that? That was... Sorry, that was distrust of tech companies slash telecom companies. This is anti-technology slash it's too fast. I think those are two separate things. Oh, okay. That's like Bill Gates is going to spy on me with my phone versus like my phone is going to give me disease. The government is pushing it on us. That's my other one. What about? I think it's Marquez has the board.
1:12:05The government is pushing us, pushing it on us.
1:12:08Andrew Edwards:That I would describe as distrust of authority, which Dave's got. Mind control. I said that already. Mind control. There's three left. One of them is rational. Two are not. They're all irrational. But we already used microwave radiation poisoning. You did use radiation poisoning, but there is a slightly related poisoning that you have not used. Air pollution. Not air pollution. Similar type of poison. I'm trying to think as dumb as I can. Do you want me to just give you the last three? I think so. The rational one was misinformation spread by social media. Blaming social media. There are people saying, what is up with everything in 5G?
1:12:51Andrew Edwards:It's because they believe what they see on social media. Oh, okay, yeah. The number nine answer on the board was electromagnetic hypersensitivity claims, which is a separate conspiracy theory. Is that not radiation? It is not radiation. Radiation is decay of the nucleus where alpha and beta particles fly through the air and break apart yourselves. Electromagnetic hypersensitivity is a conspiracy theory that non-ionizing radiation can destroy your senses. Right, like Wi-Fi. Exactly. Yeah, I was thinking that. Are you buzzing those because those are all true things? I guess you're right. I'm buzzing those because I was proud of Ellis for knowing that.
1:13:22Yeah, I... No, that's a great point. That's a great point. And that they're true. And for the electrical engineer who's listening, you can cook him for that. Go ahead. I was... Well, you can cook him with the 5G. I was... Yeah, I was conflating that with, like, Wi-Fi radiation and stuff. But I guess that's not radiation. People do think it is. People do think it is. And the last one was, it's the end of the world. It's the apocalypse. What? That was the number seven. What does that have to do with 5G? It's the religious apocalyptic interpretation. Oh.
1:13:48Andrew Edwards:You guys want to do one more or two more? Are you having fun or you're not having fun? Which more am I wanting? It's fun. I think it's chaotic for listeners. So maybe just one. For the last question of Reddit feud. Yeah. This one comes from a little subreddit. I don't know if you guys have ever been there. MKBHD. R slash MKBHD. Oh, no. I've got this one. Oh, no. Oh, no. Is there a single thread on MKBHD with enough comments to pull from? There were many. Okay. Really? Mm-hmm. But the one we chose. Oh, my God. Why should Andrew be off there? No. It's five words. Do the guys hate each other? MKBHD has unfollowed Elon Musk.
1:14:28Andrew Edwards:Oh. Do you really? What are the top answers? Sounds like Reddit to me. David. He didn't. That is not an answer. Andrew. Andrew. Good. That is the number three answer. Okay. Good. something about Cybertruck. What about Cybertruck? That he gave it a bad review? No. David. I lied. No. Wasn't specific enough. He was a Tesla fanboy.
1:15:06Andrew Edwards:This one? Yeah. Is that kind of given? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, hey, hey. Everyone's like that. You said no, and I waited until he said no. I'm going to say number five took him long enough. Yeah. Tesla fanboy, you kind of, yeah. Oh. Okay. Marquez, very silent. I've been. He's been waiting his turn. They've been buzzing in the middle of talking. I tried to wait till Adam said no, and then Ellis changed. Yeah. So, fun fact. This might ruin all future trivia extravaganzas, but I don't care. I'm really bad at coding, like just awful at coding. and so if multiple if you guys hit your buzzers at the same time it defaults to Marquez I don't know how to write it better you should not have given him that information you shouldn't have given him that information that's why when you guys when you were getting frustrated I was like I can't say anything but I know exactly what's going on here alright you have control of the board yeah true
1:16:06I don't think they like each other
1:16:14politically correct yeah number one political concerns okay um number two is he didn't actually Elon blocked him oh that's too correct that is what happened that was in the thread after before they knew that that's what happened
1:16:35Andrew Edwards:okay nevermind he bought it's because he bought a Rivian
1:16:44he sold his Cybertruck that is the number 8 answer
1:16:48Andrew Edwards:it's because he sold his Cybertruck got it he hates Tesla now they do say that who says that Tesla people love saying that oh yeah Tesla people and then the non Tesla people say you love them Yeah. Yeah. He loves them too much. He hates them too much. Can't win. When's he going to review Full Self Driving X? They're not going to say that on Reddit. That's Twitter. That's Twitter. You're on the Twitter half mind. I think that might be. I wouldn't doubt if a thing in there is still like, well, yeah, he still hasn't reviewed the FSD version number whatever one was out at that point. Did I just argue myself out of that?
1:17:32Kind of. Sorry.
1:17:34Andrew Edwards:Alright. Denied. The board is open. Full self-driving sucks. Marquez. Why didn't he unfollow earlier? I think it took him long enough. Oh, that's one already? Oh, never mind. Elon's a man-child. Okay, you know what? Number six answer. Cringe about the keckiest Maximus username. I'll give that to you. Andrew, you have control of the board. Who cares? That is the number 10 answer. Literally, word for word, who cares? That's nice. That's good. I don't want to give it to you, but Tesla disappointment slash unfulfilled promises. I feel like that's kind of Tesla sucks. Okay. Roadster. Well, that's kind of the same thing.
1:18:27I was going to say, how is this news? That's a good one. Yeah. yeah but that's the same thing are we missing any highly ranked ones yeah can you tell what numbers he loves rivian now i think you said that i think you said that oh i did say that
1:18:43Andrew Edwards:which would be funny if he gave you the points for this technically unfortunately there are not enough points left on the board to beat andrew unless we move to another question do another question okay one more one more this is the last wait what was left what didn't we get uh elon posts too much and that's why Marquez unfollowed him. Marquez should be on Blue Sky anyway. I'm one of the first ones. And Elon is bad at running businesses. Elon sucks. You didn't hear him at businesses after that? Yeah, he's pretty bad at businesses except for the fact that he's the richest human. It's like if arguably there's something to not.
1:19:27I was going to say. I think if you're a trillionaire, you're pretty good at businesses. Even if you're not good at carrying them up. It matters what you consider a business. If businesses make money, he's really damn good at it.
1:19:39Andrew Edwards:He's good at grifting. Yeah, but that's still a business. Yeah, but that makes money. That's a business. That's not a business. Yeah. What? I think it's business. It's unfortunate. It could be unfortunately business. I don't know if you know this, but back in the day, people did it good. Now it's 2026. People were satisfied. The MKBHD channel is terrible at business. Would you say that? Because we give away. We don't take a lot of money. We can. Would you say that Polymarket's not a business? Dude. You know what Polymarket is? Polymarket's a f***ing disgrace. I agree. But they're still a business.
1:20:12Andrew Edwards:But it is a business. No, they're a cartel. They're a bunch of lunatics. I will give them so many words. I will never grace them with being termed a business. Okay? All right. Guys, this comes from r slash futurology. Oh, no. Oh, my suggestion. What futuristic technology do you think we might already have, but is being kept from the hidden from the public? 6G.
1:20:39No. Marquez. Cures to diseases. Oh, that's really good. That's really good. But it's like... Andrew. Andrew. No cancer cure. I'm going to say aliens, but like alien technology. Alien technology. No.
1:20:54Andrew Edwards:David. What? robotics for the military etc. government robotics. Is futurology a conspiracy subreddit? Are they like a realistic subreddit? It's one of those subreddits where they just post links to those articles that are like this thing just happened that's going to change the world and then you never hear about it again. That's what the subreddit is. Okay so quantum some compute stuff. I'll just say computing. Fast computer. Fast computer. Really good computer. They're hiding fast computer. Amazing computer. They're hiding fast computer from us. Robots has been the closest guess so far. I said robots.
1:21:33Andrew Edwards:Closest. Are they hiding from us? Oh, I should have told you guys. This post is from two years ago. Humanoid robots. No. I would have given... Advanced AI technology. Yes, there we go. True general AGI. How high is that? That was the third highest answer on the board worth 35 points. You have the board. Self-driving car technology. They're not hiding that from us. We just don't got that. No, they're testing it on us. This is not just technology that... David. Food that can feed every human on Earth. These are Redditors, David. Well, yeah. I don't know.
1:22:22Andrew Edwards:Marquez. Marquez. stopping aging keeping people alive number 6 answer on the board anti-aging slash radical life extension wow that's a good one
1:22:38regrowing regrowing organs stem cell type shit mind control they ain't hiding that it's called facebook.com you just don't know because you're being controlled it's called facebook.com
1:22:51Andrew Edwards:sorry can't give it to you Andrew Hypnosis What? Give me the point Reading everything that you do Like tracking everything that you do And where you are No Marquez Human to brain interface Yes Mind uploading digital consciousness Transfer The seventh answer on the board Computer to brain Seven How about Because you are ten points behind David Okay how about Oh
1:23:25food that never has disease. I kind of said that already. Man, these people are not optimistic at all. But they're hiding.
1:23:40Peptides.
1:23:43Andrew Edwards:I'll give you a hint. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Can I just do one before you give a hint? Weapons of mass destruction. I'm not hiding the nukes brother no there's definitely people hiding weapons guys guys guys there's no weapons left there's no medicine left did we do a weapon yet? there's no weapons period that's what George Bush said too there's no there's no food and there's no medicine wow no weapons no food no medicine yes Yes. What futuristic technology do you think we might already have but is being kept hidden from the public? Teleportation. Teleportation is the number four answer.
1:24:28Andrew Edwards:What are people talking about? That's literally why I said is this a conspiracy subreddit because I was going to say teleportation. I guess if that's the level we're on. I feel like this whole round has been conspiracy theories. Okay, nothing against Redditors. I love Reddit. Is it not all a conspiracy theory subreddit? Is all of Reddit not a conspiracy theory forum? That's a valid question. Okay. Okay, we got that. Oh, warp speed drives? Like super fast transportation? How fast? Speed of light. Faster than speed of light. No, I can't give that to you. Supersonic. Forget I said that. Give me another.
1:25:12Andrew Edwards:I was barking up the wrong tree. I forgot that teleportation was already. I already said it. Got it. Marquez. No, okay. I got sent off the trail of something. Super strength. I don't know. Superman. Yeah. Aliens. No, you already guessed it. No, I guessed it. No, he guessed alien technology. Cloning. No, but this is... We already do cloning. You're sort of... Human from non-reproduction. No. Wow. DNA splicing. No. We already do that too. Give me another guess. Oh, never mind. David. More water. No, no, no. I'll give you a minute. The number one answer on the board is so f***ing stupid. The government's hiding from us?
1:26:05Yeah.
1:26:07Andrew Edwards:Melting the ice caps. Oh. David. The number ten answer is also really dumb. Voting technology. I want everyone to remember futuristic technology closing the hole in the ozone futuristic technology space travel I already said that we gotta get number one guys we have to get number one I'll give you a hint almost all of these left one of them just sorry don't give him the hint I was thinking about Jeff no I don't want to hear your answer Okay, it's clear. One of these is just straight up a product that does exist. And it frankly existed when this came out. When this post was made. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
1:26:58Andrew Edwards:One of them is something that has been talked about by scientists a lot for the past 10 years. But it is not clear that it is actually possible. And the rest you could only think of if you were 12 years old. Making buckles? No. time travel time travel is okay I've been thinking that since the start is that number one? no that was ten you guys are going way too realistic that's what I'm saying wait no no it's still my turn sorry some people are buzzing when other people are saying holograms holograms are number eight there we go how do I get dumber than those dinosaurs that's actually a good answer that's a great answer That's a good answer.
1:27:43But it's a great answer. That's a really good answer. Oh, God. I think along those lines. Jurassic Park. Ooh. Marked out. Oh!
1:27:52Andrew Edwards:Robot Butler. No, but it's so close. Humanoid room. Yeah, it's so close. Same universe. Same universe. David, did you... Flying cars. Flying cars is the number nine answer. Why would the government hide that from us? These answers don't make sense. I don't know. I don't know. We were trying to make sense before. Atlantis. I don't even know. This is like a family feud where you essentially just reduce it to the base question. Or they're like, we asked 100 women, name 10 things that your husband has worn this week. And it's just like, name articles of clothing. You don't have to think about it. It's literally family feud.
1:28:27Andrew Edwards:This is what we're doing. Yeah. Reddit feud. So name a futuristic technology. What is the number one? Name a futuristic technology that we haven't thought of yet. That's it. Teleportation, flying cars. Flying cars, time travel. Time travel. Sharkboy and Lava Girl. I can't tell if the maid thing was you were just saying. Hybrid animals. Superheroes? What else is superheroes? Ridiculous. Oh, infinite energy. Renewable. Nuclear fusion is on there. What number was it? That was the number two answer. That was number two? Yeah, infinite energy. We need to get the number one. This is critical because there are two answers left on the board.
1:29:11Andrew Edwards:The number five answer and the number one answer. Number one is still there. If Andrew gets any of these, he wins for sure. You can't catch up. If David gets the number one answer and Andrew does not get the number five answer, David wins. Marquez, I'm sorry. You're just too smart to have won this game. Yeah, I'm thinking a lot. All right. What stupid things have we not thought about? Future technology the government's hiding from us. If I answer them, then... Marquez could ruin it for David. Yeah, I could ruin it for David. Yeah, it's true. I just need to think of that. That was your... From the first question, you said we just need to make sure David doesn't have points.
1:29:48Don't do this. Can't let David win. Just because I won in the main season. X-ray vision. No. Oh, that's a good one. Oh!
1:29:55Andrew Edwards:Oh! I have one. I hit the wrong button. I hit the wrong button. Sing through walls. I was gonna... I buzzed. Sing through walls. Hold on. I buzzed so many times. Marquez buzzed. I buzzed. And I forgot. Jesus. Sing through walls What did you just say before? X-ray vision Oh yeah I guess that's what that would be
1:30:17Invisibility Another good episode Season of Spongebob
1:30:23Andrew Edwards:That's good I'm holding this now It's so hot I'm so tired Futurology is the name of this? R slash futurology We said flying cars already? We said flying cars we already did predict the future no we already did time travel I went the opposite way I can't give any more hints because I don't want I guess this goes because this is the game decider this is a magic point this is so close stupidest possible answer but also the most common you said number one's really dumb working printers number one that's pretty good that's actually a good reddit I think number one is really dumb because not only is it something that we arguably like it already exists you know what I mean Maybe not in the weird, crazy sci-fi version, but it definitely exists.
1:31:08Andrew Edwards:But it's like, why on earth would the government hide that from us? That doesn't make any sense. Constant surveillance? No, no, no, no. Think like you're 12. Think like you're 6. Think like you're 6. More toys. Oh, a fully immersive video game. No. VR. Ready Player One. No. No. Yeah, okay. The Metaverse. No. You guys just guessed the same thing three times. They're hiding that from Martin Zuckerberg, so he can't. Okay, something the government would have that I'm 12. That's D6. Oh, my Mac is going to die. You're six. I need... You can plug in, right? You're going to need to show me the answers.
1:31:46I hope there's people listening to this right now screaming this at us right now. They've thought of it for sure by now. Hiding from us? What are they hiding from us? A universal translator. No. It's not health-related. Translation is not health. No, I know, I know. Oh, it's health-related? No, it's not hell through it.
1:32:05Andrew Edwards:If we end it now, Andrew wins. No, stop. Can you give us like a sudden death hint? I don't know how that would work. What would a hint be? Well, because we all equally have the chance to guess it. A hint that's kind of likely to give it away, but it's just whoever buzzes first. I'll give you the hint for the number five answer that if Andrew or Marquez gets. Or no, if Marquez gets the number five answer. That's still open to me. That's just pride. Number five answer hint. Ready. It is related to a previous question that I asked you today.
1:32:38Melinda Gates
1:32:455G
1:32:48Andrew Edwards:That's a good answer Honestly yeah That's how I feel
1:32:55Reusable rockets Space data centers We didn't think about that two years ago High speed rails Space internet Tunnels Teslas Electric cars Rockets, I don't know Neuralink
1:33:19Andrew Edwards:Neuralink I promise we're smarter than this It's just like it's so hot in this room No one's brain works It's an Elon thing? No you did it It's like the Elon thing Going to Mars the ability to go to Mars. Space travel to Mars. Interstellar travel. Mars colony. Mars colony. Wait, wait, wait. You buzzed him and then I buzzed. No, you didn't buzz. Rewind the tape. Just rewind the tape. Adam clicked the buzz and he said it after. I feel like space colony and click the buzz. That was David's five second timer elapsing. Right, which did happen before he said it. And the green did come up. Who's the, on your computer, who's the buzz right now?
1:33:58Does it show? I feel like space colony and Mars colony is the same thing.
1:34:01Andrew Edwards:No, I cleared it. I saw the Baja Blast come up. I saw Baja Blast come up. Mars colonization. I don't know what to do about this. But I already said it. That's the number one answer? That's the number five answer. But that does hand Andrew the game. Look, I'm going to give it to David. Andrew, you're still in the lead. Okay. It's after the buzzer. You each get three guesses for the number one answer on the board, and then we're done and Andrew wins. Okay. Can we get another hint? I go last since I just got screwed. Sure. Is it material science related? Like hacking? This is not the Elon. It is a device.
1:34:42Andrew Edwards:No. It is a personal device. And it is a personal mobility device. Marquez, you have three guesses in the next 90 seconds. Why does it start with Marquez? Personal mobility device. Okay, what's the technology heading from us? I don't know. Fixing paralyzed limbs. No. Okay. Um, personal mobility device. It's just a personal mobility device. Oh, Jetpack. Jetpack is the number one answer on the board. Finally, it was Jetpack. I was not thinking that even with all that. I was thinking mech suit. Jetpack is hilarious. Reddit, you'll never let us down, man. That's crazy. That was the number one answer.
1:35:24That was the number one answer. They're hiding Jetpacks from us, guys. Come on.
1:35:28Andrew Edwards:What? Oh, my God. What? Hey, David didn't win. That's huge. That's huge. Andrew! Wow. We did it, boys. The comeback. It's true. It was a true comeback. If there's something happening, it was a comeback story. It was a comeback story. I can concede to that. I don't know what's happening. I think Ellis' computer died. I think they're trying to find the crown thing. Andrew, you have 391 points, which is insane. you were only eight points ahead of David. After all of these points flying around, you literally barely squeaked it by him. I'm so sorry, David. But for the first time in some time, Andrew, you are now the owner of the Podman's Cup.
1:36:17I know. It didn't exist when I won that one time. That's true. Is that it? Yeah.
