2:55This is the Raw Recap on WWE Now at WWE and Fanatics. Original production.
3:08Oh, Megan. Megan.
3:10Sam Roberts:Clock it, baby. Oh, my God, dude. So we knew something was up. Yeah. It's actually really interesting, right? Welcome, by the way, to the Raw Recap. Sam Roberts, Megan Morant here coming at you immediately after watching Monday Night Raw live on Netflix and you know I was actually just talking about it this morning on Not Sam Wrestling and on Not Sam Wrestling Live on Sirius XM on WWE Radio Channel 93 as of Thursday by the way and there was a question that came up I think it was in the email segment of the Not Sam Wrestling podcast It was. I listened. Oh, you. You know. You're too good to me. I try.
3:53But they said, is there somebody else driving the 946? Should we be looking into this? And like when you looked at where everybody was positioned, there were multiple times where cars were moving, but Royce was getting into the passenger seat. Or when there'd be video taken from the inside of the car and Bronco and Lucian were in the back seat and Royce was in the passenger seat. But I said that I hadn't seen enough sort of clues to make me go, okay, this is something that we have to discover.
4:31Sam Roberts:Yeah, and you justified it so well that I said, yeah, I can't see it either. Yeah. But I also wasn't thinking of it in the way that the 946 operates, right? Because everything the 946 has done has been completely different than anything else we've seen. from the way that they captured their videos, right? We see them come up on social media. I always, I'm used to the other standard way of operating where a lot of times there's a driver or a belt boy if you're Roman Reigns. Not for the 946. Oh, meaning - They're not letting people in on what they're doing unless they're part of that group. So it would make sense that they'd have an additional person.
5:09But like a wrestler -
5:11Sam Roberts:Yeah. Would have a driver and it's like, well, who's the driver? It's their driver. It doesn't matter. It's their driver. I was watching, I think on the, who's, I think Becky Lynch was doing a podcast somewhere. And she was talking about Cody's bus driver. Yeah. Like it just, who's Cody's bus driver? He's a bus driver. That's what he does for a living. He drives his bus, yeah. Right. So you're sitting there going by traditional metrics. Yeah, of course somebody is. Is driving it. Is driving by. But do we really need to overanalyze that? Do we really need to look into that? But then I forgot the 946 operates on a totally different playing field.
5:40Right. Like everybody else. Yeah, they're doing crimes. Yes. They're doing crimes. They're kidnapping.
5:44Sam Roberts:You don't just have, hey, I'm going to hire you to drive me to my crime. Right. No, you couldn't be like, well, there's no amount of money you can give me. That's illegal. Yeah. I don't want to be involved in this. And then that's why they assault, you know, building staff. Yes. Security, the whole deal. So, I mean, dude, you know, we start the show with the bloodline coming out. The Usos and Jacob Fatu. And in this moment, it appears that they are on the same page. It appears that they have a similar goal. And this was the question that I wrote down as soon as the show started. Because I think, and they brought forward the social media video that Royce Keys had put out after Monday Night Raw last week.
6:28Which was not just that they had kidnapped Solo Sokoa. And not just that they had said, just keep walking until you touch grass. Which is what I say to the people who reply to me on Twitter. But it means something completely different when Royce Keys says it to you. and you're out in the middle of nowhere. But he has Solo and he says, I told you it was loyalty over family. Look at what your brothers did. They left you out here to die. And you're going, okay. But then, so from that perspective, I go, well, that's a lot for Solo Sokoa to chew on while he's on that long walk home. But at the same time, I'm looking at Jacob Fatu and I'm looking at Jimmy and Jay Uso who haven't been getting along great.
7:15And now all of a sudden, because Royce Keys and Lucian Price and Bronco Nima have put their family in danger, now they're all coming together. It goes beyond a group called the Bloodline. It goes family. Like whether or not Solo has said, I acknowledge you, whether or not Solo is part of this wrestling faction. No, that's our real life cousin. That's our real life brother. And you put hands on him. Now we're being brought together because of it. So the question that I had as I was watching the bloodline come out at the beginning of the show was at that point, is the 946 dividing this family or bringing them together?
8:01Sam Roberts:Right now, it kind of looks like they're bringing them together. Right. Although we don't know where Solo is. We didn't see him all night. And this is what we talked about a little bit last week after Solo was initially kidnapped and wondering, you know, how the Usos were going to respond to it, how Roman would respond to it, even though Roman wasn't around. Yeah. That's still blood. That's still family. Yes. And Roman is big on, you know, if one of our family members gets disrespected, the whole family is being disrespected. And that's what we can't have. The purpose of the bloodline is generational dominance.
8:34The purpose of the bloodline is not just to get everything that they're entitled to right now. It's to collect on everything that they've been entitled to going all the way back to Alpha and Sika and collect on it enough where we make sure that that doesn't happen again and that the generation that comes after us is protected. It's a wide-ranging plan here. And so, yeah, to see Solo get taken like that, that's something that the bloodline can't have. So the Usos and Jacob are in the ring together. And Jacob talks about the fact that he's been saying for weeks now, don't make the first move.
9:19Sam Roberts:Lay low, play it slow. That's it. First move's not going to be the best move. Just lay low, lay low. And he goes, well, that's done. Sorry, I was wrong. Not tonight, he says, because tonight we're going to light it up. He says, we're going to be dog walking tonight. Okay, five, two. Tonight's dog walking night, okay? And they go, tonight we fight. Tonight we will fight the 946. And this is the Jacob that we've been waiting for. This is almost like this Jacob that they have brought back to life. we're starting to see that Jacob that Paul Heyman told us about when Jacob first showed up after WrestleMania 40.
10:02When this guy who was not fit for polite society, when this guy who we all knew about Jacob, but we didn't bring him in because he's too much of a risk. I think the 946 is almost that like triggering group that is like, no, this is who you are. This is where you came from and now that they've put their hands on jacob's family he goes jimmy jay i'm with you
10:26Sam Roberts:you're right let's go and well before paul hayman often talked about jacob where he's too dangerous to be in the bloodline he's too dangerous to be in wwe right now the 946 and what they're doing in the bloodline i think jacob is the only bloodline member who's equipped to handle the 946 because he's lived it yeah he's the one who knows he's the one who's saying look you think i'm a problem you don't know this Royce Keys yeah you don't know this version of Royce this is not the version of Royce that's telling his story of of of conquering his demon yeah no no I haven't overcome anything as a matter of fact no I'm right back to where I started so then this this this truck pulls up and they go okay it's on like Donkey Kong and they go back there and there's a there's there's a worker a guy push him out of the way who's there push him they punch him right in the head they they clocked him they got him i mean excuse the pun yeah they clocked him though knocked him down opened the door and who gets out of that truck but jada parker that's right jada parker from nxt who has been making waves for a long time you know she's been a favorite of mine for a long time i know she's been a favorite of yours for a long time this is parker This is a discussion that we've had for a long time.
11:50And she pops out of that car and listen, I don't know anything about anything.
11:56Sam Roberts:Me either. Nothing. But I got the internet. I also have the internet. I got the dial up. I got 56K and I make sure my mom doesn't pick up the phone so I can stay online and I can read all the rags. You know what I mean? I get all the info. I know everything that's going on. Every sheet you could think of. I've read it. And I'm just saying, there was a look between Jey Uso and Jada Parker where Jey said, what are you doing here? Or, hey, don't I know you from NXT? What are you doing here? There was something personal. Very personal. What are you doing here? And everybody who has the internet, who reads all of those sheets that you speak of.
12:37Yeah.
12:38Sam Roberts:Those rags that you speak of. I love them. We all had that moment where you held your breath a little bit. A little bit. A little bit because it looked like Jay was throwing off his game for a minute. He did. But Jada Parker said she was just there to see Adam Pearce. I'm just here to see Adam Pearce. That's all I'm here to do is here to see Adam Pearce. By the way, like, and maybe this is because I don't come from the same place that like Jacob and Royce Keys come from. But I would really by now have gone to Adam Pearce and go, how can you allow this type of activity to be happening on your show?
13:10I feel like management should be stepping in in terms of being liable for some of this stuff. But I guess that's not really. What do you mean?
13:16Sam Roberts:Like lighting cars on fire? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Stuff like that. Like, don't you. Isn't there some kind of. Kidnapping. Like, I'd be bringing up. I'd be using words like indemnity. You know, but I guess that's not. That's just we come from two separate. We handle things differently. I think theirs is probably a little bit more effective. You think? I think so. Okay. I think in this case, probably. Probably when dealing with the 946. yes so she says hey relax why'd you punch that guy in the side of the head i'm just here to see adam pierce and everybody goes okay and like listen it's not a bad excuse we know talent has been getting signed from nxt lola vice is on monday night raw now sure tana paxley is on smackdown we've been waiting for jada parker for a long time yeah monday night raw or smackdown one that we we've watched her a while and said she's ready she's ready she's ready and it's like okay and maybe maybe that's just a coincidence huh on all nights for jada parker to be here the timing for her to roll up to have a conversation with adam pierce just so happened to be the same time that the bloodline you know clocks this guy in the head and mistakes her for the 946 i'm looking i'm looking for adam pierce she says and it's like okay you know adam pierce has a lot on his plate Adam Pearce has to talk to Lyra Valkyria, EO Sky.
14:35Sam Roberts:But listen, I don't know what the relationship is or if there is any relationship. But the look between her and Jey Uso, it almost seemed like there was a little miscommunication between the two. But that was Jada Parker. Hands up. Hey, I don't know. I'm just here. You know, I'm at work. I'm at work. I don't know anything about anything. I'm at work. And you go, OK. I don't know. Milwaukee's a long way away from Orlando. but that's where Adam Pearce is Adam Pearce doesn't like to talk on the phone I guess I don't know I don't know I don't get involved in that business I have a lot of questions for Adam Pearce but then we hear from and so the 946 is nowhere to be found then later on in the show the 946 they send in one of their cell phone videos and they're outside the building and they go we called we knew this was the play you were going to call they said we weren't going to show up we knew what you were going to do bloodline We knew that this was going to be the night that you were going to do this.
15:30We knew how far we pushed you. We're one step ahead of you every single time. And so far, man, so far, that has proven to be true. And then more of Raw happens, and then we go backstage again. And Jacob and the Usos are making their plan. And Jacob talks to Jimmy, and they dap up in a brace. And then he says, punk-ass Jay. And you know what? It was the first time punk ass Jay had been said. He didn't say punk ass.
16:03Sam Roberts:It was endearing. It was endearing. It was like, come on, man. I still kind of think you're a punk ass, but like. But I love you. Same team. Come on. Same team. Get over here, you punk ass. And Jay wasn't thrilled. No, who would be thrilled to be called a punk ass? He's made it clear he doesn't like that name. But he goes, okay, Jay. All right, all right. Now, all throughout the night, were you thinking, because we knew Jada Parker was there to see Adam Pearce, and you know throughout Raw we did see Adam Pearce he was talking to Eoskai he was talking a lot about Valkyria were you wondering when's he gonna talk to Jada or did you personally kind of write off I don't ever write off anything because everything counts everything counts but also there is this world where it's just like oh that's just a little red herring over here sure like who's to say maybe next week we get a Jada Parker debut and it's completely unrelated to anything that we saw you know I mean it was it stuck in my head but it didn't I also took account of the fact that we had not seen Solo Sokoa I said where's Solo there's like there's there's so much LA Knight like we see him pop in yep we see him kind of get involved we know he's focused on Roman Reigns but also he's been involved in this thing like there's just so many moving parts to this yeah that it's almost like you just have to kind of sit back tense like a Safdie Brothers movie and just watch this thing play out like, whoa, what is going to go on next type of thing.
17:28Sam Roberts:For sure. Yeah. I was looking for, I thought maybe Jada would interfere in the Eosky or Lyra Valkyria match. I thought maybe she would interfere in the Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice match. Right, maybe she's there to make it all over. Yeah. To try to jump in. Yeah, maybe Jada wants to figure out like, look, how do I get involved in this Money in the Bank match? How do I get involved in this division? I don't know. But yeah, that was just, sure. That's just as likely as, I don't know what the story is with Jada Parker. So L.A. Knight, like I said, does at one point come in and kind of confront the bloodline.
18:05But he's not, you know, he says Solo is his guy, but he's almost gloating.
18:11Sam Roberts:Well, he's got a World Heavyweight Championship match with the OTC. I know. And I think that he probably is enjoying that the bloodline have so much on their plate right now. That for the first time, usually the bloodline being in numbers makes things more complicated for the opponent of Roman Reigns. Because he's got to fight all of them. Right. But I would argue that this time, because LA Knight knows that Roman is not using bloodline interference. And he even said it last week on Roth. Right. That now he looks at everything going on and going, all these complications and all these numbers are only going to distract Roman Reigns.
18:48Let me not be distracted. Let me maintain my goal of being the world heavyweight champion. And I'm sure that'll play out more next week on Raw when Roman Reigns is back. Unless Roman Reigns is stuck on what happened to end this show tonight. Because the 946 shows up. They show up in the arena. And they walk down those stairs.
19:10Sam Roberts:The first time we've seen them in the arena since they debuted. I think that's right. When they interfered in that match. Yeah, yeah. I think you're 100 % right. that they show up in the arena and security is there and they're going come on guys and i love joe tess on commentary he goes it looks like security has this situation handled yeah joe one of the all-time worst calls that joe tess joe tess is usually right on the money joe tess one of my favorite voices in the sport but but yes it was it is historically and i don't think a lot of people are picking up on that because so much happened yeah but it is worth noting not his best call he said it looks like they have it handled and right when he said that royce keys just knocks out one of the security guards and wade's like they don't have it handled i don't think so tess just totally wrong yeah yeah yeah unfortunately completely wrong as they are and then and tess said it too they're just here to make sure everything's cool it's all good just make sure that everything's calm and i'm like jacob fatu literally said he was showing up to dog walk people's asses okay like that's not the words where it's going to just stay cool calm and collected so you're right the first thing that 946 does is they just lay out all of security just punches and kicks and everything then we get the bloodline and the bloodline approaches slowly they roll up right and then boom the fight begins let me tell you something that I noticed early on.
20:44When Jacob was talking to the Usos and he's dapping them up and he was like, come on, punk ass Jay. Do you remember what Jacob's plan was? You don't have to. This is not a pop quiz. His plan was just stay together. And that's been his plan the whole time, right? Don't, because they're going to try to stay together.
21:08Sam Roberts:Because they're going to pick us one by one apart. Right. what's the first thing, if you really look at it, the first thing the 946 did? They separated them. Bronco Nima and Lucian Price are over here. They handled the Usos, and Royce Keys handled Jacob. They're separated. Completely separated. Immediately separated. And Bronco Nima and Lucian Price had the Usos into the crowd, whereas Royce Keys - Two different directions. Had Jacob over by the announce desk. Right, right. They end up in two different directions to the point where they're fighting in the crowd. And by the way, Bronco, Nima, and Lucien are also punching people in the face in the crowd.
21:50In the crowd. I don't care who you are. Just knocking people over. I don't care. You know why? Ain't nobody safe. Nobody. Even if you bought a ticket, ain't nobody safe. So they're going through the crowd and the fight's going on with the Usos and Bronco and Lucien. Meanwhile, in the ring now, you've got Jacob and Royce Keys. And for a second, for a second, I go, maybe this was a strategic mistake because you forgot that's Jacob Fatu. And Jacob Fatu starts, I mean, he picks up, he starts coming at him like a storm. You know, he brings the chair, he does the Samoan shuffle and strut and everything.
22:27He's getting out that inner boogeyman in him, the whole deal. And I love that in a fight that's as serious as this, Jacob still has time to remember to do all that. He has to. That's Jacob. five two don't ever forget that and he's good and he's nailing him with the chair and he's hitting him with the with the with that big hip thrust where he throws his hips at him into that corner and i mean even the way jacob like when he slams himself into the opposite corner just so he can pick up the momentum to run at the downed royce keys the impact with which he hits that opposite turnbuckle he's just in a different space entirely i mean he smashed his head into that turnbuckle boom royce keys tries to escape and he's heading towards the egg exit right the where the entrance is yes and and jacob is following him with that chair and at first you think oh he's just trying to escape but inevitably jacob ends up in one direction while the Usos and Lucian and Bronco are over in the other direction.
23:39They've separated.
23:40Sam Roberts:This did not go according to Jacob's plan whatsoever. No. And you're sitting there going like, well, they are separated, but still it's not one-sided. You know, Jacob's getting his licks in. The Usos are getting their licks in. Maybe it's okay as long as the numbers are even, but it's not okay. it's not okay as long as the numbers are even because now they're in the upper parking area you know wherever they were different spot than the usos and they're fighting through the metal detector and everything which by the way i don't i don't know that the 946 ever ended up coming through that metal detector i'd love that i don't i feel like that i don't think so you're just sitting there looking at the 946 and then that metal detector and going like you haven't i think They're sort of above security.

24:25Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like Remy Ma said in Lean Back, we walk around the metal detectors. Anybody remember that? Yeah, yeah.
24:37So, they're in this parking lot. And then all of a sudden, and this I did notice. Royce Keys gets in the truck. And I told you when we were watching. That's the truck Jada Parker. I was like, that's Jada's truck.
24:50Sam Roberts:Yeah, there's that silver, it looks like a suburban truck. Yeah. Like he jumped in the truck that Jada was in. Now I did say two to myself to add Grand Theft Auto to the list of charges. It feels like it's possible. But it was the truck that Jada arrived in. Right. But it would be just as likely to be like, no, we stole her truck. Yeah. I'd be like, okay. Yeah. That kind of checks out. Yes. That's in character, right? So Jacob is down. He gets hit by the door of the truck while it looks like Royce Keys is trying to escape. He dives into the window trying to hit that Tongan death grip. While Royce Key's like putting his thumbs in his eyes trying to get him away.
25:31And as soon as he pushes him away, a Maserati comes out of nowhere. Going about 80 miles an hour, it felt like. And just, I mean, I mean, I mean, just hit a Samoan werewolf with such impact that it became airborne.
25:48Sam Roberts:Thud. I mean, over the car. Like we're sitting there going, what? Like we just saw this dude get hit by a car Like what are we doing And it's a Maserati And then who gets out of the Maserati but Jada Parker And at first Jada Parker is very apologetic Like oh my gosh I didn't see you there Oh my gosh And at first she had me and I was like wow Comes up from NXT She has a meeting with Adam Pearce And all of a sudden she gets into the bloodline business This has got to be a mistake She has her hands over her mouth And I was sitting there quietly because I'm still going like, what's with these automobiles?
26:25Where'd this Maserati come from?
26:26Sam Roberts:And you got to process all of this. But she is. She's showing such remorse. I can't believe I've done this. I'm so sorry. And she's looking at Royce going, I didn't mean to do this. But whether it was the Fielder method or Stanislavski or whoever it was, somebody taught this lady how to act. Okay? Because all of a sudden, she just turns it off and looks down and says, ain't nobody safe oh my god oh my god i mean in incredible royce keys looking down and the reality being that once again the 946 we think they're one step in front of the bloodline oh no no no who knows how many steps in front of the bloodline this group is and when have we ever seen that before in the entire history and I don't mean in the last, you know, in the 2026 bloodline.
27:25You mean ever? The whole run of the bloodline. When has there ever been a group that was like around every corner we have your number?
27:32Sam Roberts:I don't think ever. To the point where - I don't think ever. Right. To the point that I'm looking at this and going, if I'm Roman, am I getting involved at all? You know what I mean? Do I even want this smoke? I don't need this. That's a good point. Right? But it's family. And we know how Roman feels about family. We know how he feels about family, but I also know how he feels about winning. Yeah. And he's sitting there looking at a group that has had their number throughout. And a group that does not care. Not one bit. Because ain't nobody safe. And now they have to figure out, like, and at the end of the day, why did they separate Jacob and the Usos?
28:17Because it's a lot harder to hit three guys with a car than it is to hit one guy with a car.
28:22Sam Roberts:I do wonder what Jey Uso's reaction to all this is going to be. Like, what the hell? I mean, talk about surprised that Jada Parker was there at all. Let alone she's working with the 946. And now to find out that this is why? And she took out Jacob Foggi. How long has she been working with the 946? Maybe Adam Pearce could have said something two and a half hours before this. Hey, Jay, I don't know why she said that. I don't have a meeting on the calendar. Not a single meeting. But he's busy with Lyra Valkyria and everybody else trying to put together money in the bank matches. Trying to figure out what to do between Joe Hendry and his Funko Pops.
29:02Sam Roberts:It is interesting to think about the way Roman Reigns will approach all of this, right? because we've seen him sort of delegate tasks. Yes, great. Where he says, LA Knight, that's my problem. The rest is your problem. Yes. And so I do wonder if this is something that Roman can delegate or if this is something that requires the tribal chief's attention. Yeah, that's the thing, right? When you set up your systems in a certain way, it's a when when most effective you delegate tasks so that you can completely take them off your plate if if you delegate a and this goes for any profession when you get to a place where you are delegating tasks if you are sitting there conscious this is why micromanaging doesn't work because if you're sitting there consciously thinking about whether or not this thing is getting done you might as well have not delegated it that's a good point right the idea is not just so that the work itself is not on your plate the idea is that so that then you may use your big tribal chief brain and focus it on what your big tribal chief brain needs to focus on which is the challenger in two weeks for the world heavyweight championship la night because i'll tell you right now la night didn't wonder at all where solo was nope that's my friend he wasn't curious about Jada Parker at all.
30:27He doesn't care.
30:27Sam Roberts:Not his business. No. Solo is LA Knight's friend. But LA Knight has made it this far without any friends. He's here for the... He's worked too hard and too long to worry about any outside factors in that World Heavyweight Championship. This couldn't be coming at a worse time for Roman Reigns because now Roman Reigns has to go like, listen, you guys... I would argue that the bloodline is in a worse spot now than they were when Roman left two weeks ago. Without a doubt. It's way worse than when Roman left two weeks ago. They got a car lit on fire. Yeah. And now Jada Parker hit Jacob Fatu with a car.
31:06And Solo got kidnapped.
31:07Sam Roberts:And Solo got kidnapped. There hasn't been one week where the 946 has been anything but outrageously successful. Like, when have we seen that before with this group? I think Roman's going to have to step in. I don't know if this is a The week before Money in the Bank? I don't think this is a problem that Roman Reigns can delegate. Next week is the last week before Money in the Bank, right? Of course. So you think on the last Monday Night Raw, before his match with LA Knight, Roman's going to have to concern himself with what's going on with Jacob and the Usos? I think he has to. How is he? How?
31:43Sam Roberts:He has no other choice than to deal with the 9-4-6 and what's going on with the Usos. This is his family. Understood. But he needs to be the champion in order to do this correctly. I agree with you. Wouldn't it make more sense for him to go like, look, I don't know what the hell is going to happen. This thing has escalated to an outrageous extent. But if Roman says, listen, I will take care of all of this after I beat LA Knight for the World Heavyweight Championship and retain my title. Yes. What's going to be left of his family after Money in the Bank? You're saying that this has escalated so quickly that within two weeks, this thing could be rubble.
32:23Yes. Under his fingers. Yes. But then what does that say to Roman's vision for the way that he allocates responsibilities within the family? That the minute he steps away, this whole thing is crumbling.
32:36Sam Roberts:I don't think he factored in the 946. Do you think that that's going to be Roman's perspective, that the 946 is a unique challenge? Or do you think he's going to go, I got to do everything myself? I think he's going to say he has to do everything himself. I do. I mean, them being a unique challenge is a valid. Look, the bloodline has never seen anything like the 946. And not, again, you brought it up, not just the 2026 bloodline. And the fact that it's like still we don't even know. Like, first of all, we haven't seen, they haven't had a match. No. They haven't had an entrance. We haven't seen them actually do wrestling stuff.
33:18You know? We don't know who or what they are. All of a sudden, Jada Parker is with them going, ain't nobody safe. And when they say, and they specifically say that ain't nobody safe, ain't nobody safe, ain't nobody safe. They're not saying, Jacob, you're not safe. Jimmy and Jay, you're not safe. They're saying, ain't nobody safe. Who knows how far the tentacles of this squid-like 946 reach, spewing that ink everywhere that they go. and who's gonna be, I mean, did Captain Ahab ever have to fight a squid or just the whale? Because if he had to fight a squid, I would say who's gonna be that Captain Ahab, but I'm not sure.
34:01I didn't read the whole Moby Dick book. But point is, somebody has to stop this multi-headed hydra, okay?
34:12Sam Roberts:It's gotta be Roman. Fine, it's gotta be Roman, but he's got an LA Knight problem to deal with. he's got the world heavyweight title he's been out here having incredible matches some I would argue the best of his entire career he's locked into this zone where he has these matches that exist almost in a vacuum meaning the stories exist in a vacuum it's almost like a time capsule every match that he's had in this run is a forever match the CM Punk match the Penta match the two Jacob Fatou matches. And LA Knight 1 is headed down the same path. Again, has to exist in a vacuum. But there's a lot of other things going on that need the tribal chief's attention.
34:56The only way this works is if Roman figures out a way to just push it aside. And I'm not even saying you guys solved the problem. Just hold it off for one week. Dude, I don't know if,
35:11Sam Roberts:I think his family might be gone if he holds it out for one week. by the way, there was no squid in Moby Dick. It was 20 ,000 leagues under the sea is what I said. Oh. Sometimes I'm so well-read, I get my references across. That's all that is. I hate when that happens. Yeah, me too. It's the worst. Me too. The very, very educated complain about it all the time. You know, they say I'm too well-read. That's what a lot of people say about me. That's what they say about me. I care too much. Yeah, yeah. I'm too well-read. There was one flaw, I would say. Yeah, yeah. I think that that's the way, that's the only way that it works and you figure out a way.
35:47I think Roman has to stay lasered in on LA night for another two weeks from right now. And then immediately after that, has to strap on the gear and put the fatigues on and go to battle.
36:04Sam Roberts:I just don't know if that's going to be an option. I just don't know. I mean, you're not wrong. The 946 hasn't exactly been cooperative. It was in an ideal world. That's what he would do. Yeah. Just hold on for another week, get through LA night, and then handle this 946 problem. I just don't know if that's going to be an option. No, I mean, it's a good call. Listen, we saw on the WWE's YouTube channel what was going on at Worlds Collide. And, of course, that entrance, that classic entrance from CM Punk. Wow. You can bring back CM Punk's Straight Edge Society era with a retro tee and a new Lucha mask available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics.
36:49I'm very, very excited about that Straight Edge Society mask because that mask was first brought in by CM Punk to hide the fact that he had lost a hair versus hair match. So nobody knew he was bald.
37:00Sam Roberts:I'm thinking that would be great for me. A lot of people know you're bald, though. That's the thing. A lot of people know that about you. Yeah. That's tough. Maybe once I put the mask on, they'll forget. Also, it's fall. So you can layer up like a champion with fall favorites that are all, get those sleeves up, sleeves covered. No more tank tops. I was tank tops all summer. All summer. No more tank tops. Layer up like a champion with fall favorites. Available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics. Speaking of money in the bank and speaking of battles, Obathemi comes to the ring tonight on Monday Night Raw.
37:40And he says that he's spoken to the powers that be, the Triple H's of the world. And he has a contract for a one-on-one singles match at the Money in the Bank PLE. And he invites, he acknowledges that he's got a vision problem right now. And I don't mean the type of vision problem that requires LASIK. he wants to put somebody else through surgery that was bars dude that was awesome what i just said i just thought of it just now but i like that you compliment yourself which is so great i heard it
38:14Sam Roberts:well when you said vision i almost jumped into lasik but you just i just did it right away very well read uh but he says he says that you know this is an issue and he wants to solve the issue You read one book this weekend All of a sudden I'm super Every week I've known you Have you ever read a book? No, I don't read Infographics This weekend you read a book And now all of a sudden we're well read I live in the present I can't speak to what my past was But I can speak to who I am now Big reader Huge So anyway, I didn't hear you with a Moby Dick reference Correct or incorrect? That is correct It's still a reference.
38:57Sam Roberts:That's correct. Yeah. So he says, I got something for Bronson Reed to read, and that's a contract. Okay? He invites Bronson. Yeah, that was a good one. They're laughing. That was a good segue. He invites Bronson Reed. That was a good segue. He invites Bronson Reed to come out and sign his name on the dotted line for a match against Obafemi. And this is really interesting because, you know, we're talking about the 946, not seeing them in action. We have not seen Bronson Reed in a, we seem involved in matches. We haven't seen Bronson Reed strapped the gear on and have a televised match since he returned at Sunday night's main event.
39:42And now in months. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, technically you're right because it was before. Yeah. From the whole injury. You're right.
39:48Sam Roberts:Yeah. And Oba called him out for that. And he was like, I understand that you've been away, so you weren't around for everything that I did. You weren't around for when I became King of the Ring. You weren't around for when I beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. You weren't around for when I beat Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. And then he even said that he doesn't understand that, and a wise man taught him. Did you find that interesting? I did find it very, very interesting. Did you find that interesting? I found it interesting. When Oba said about how much a wise man had taught him? That a wise man had taught him what he knew about business and putting contracts together.
40:28Yeah. Yeah, because I only know. I mean, there's a very noteworthy wise man in this world of sports entertainment, of pro wrestling. And that's a wise man that's been accused of maybe being a little too interested in Obafemi by clients, current clients, former clients, who's to say? We don't really even know. Yes. But I was. I found that very, very intriguing when he said a wise man. I also found it very intriguing when he said, I'm the captain now. You know, I like that. I got that as a sick reference. Sick reference. Obafemi, also very well read. That's from the book Captain Phillips. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
41:08I mean, it was. And then so Bronson Reed comes out.
41:12Sam Roberts:Yeah, Oba said, get your fat legs out here. He did. I think it's a fat leg. I didn't think that was fair. I don't know if it's fair or not. I haven't seen the legs. I mean, I've seen him on Instagram. He looks pretty shredded to me. Okay, but everybody, the AI, the filters. I've seen him on Instagram with an orange background singing Migos with different people. You know, who knows what we're seeing on Instagram these days. You know, it's crazy. But Bronson Reed signs the dotted line. He's a big step forward. But I tell you this, and we had him here on the Raw Recap on WWE Now. And go back and watch that interview if you haven't.
41:47Because it was a great interview. He's not done a lot of interviews since returning. And it's a great insight into the real-life human being and where he's at right now after returning. But when he talked to us a few weeks back, this was a guy who realized that, like, now it's time to take it all. That there's no more tomorrow. There's no more, okay, we're in a building phase right now. We'll get there. We'll get, no, we're here now. Because there's a lot of conversation about the future of this and the future of that. And there's a lot of conversation about who's up next. The main event scene is crowded as it is.
42:25And there is already a scene that is building. The conversation is happening. We have these conversations all the time about who is in that pool of who's next. When they're talking about Oba's, but they're also talking about Braum Breakers. And they're talking about Trick Williams. and they're talking about Javon Evans. Bronson Reed wants to be in the conversation of right now. He wants to be on the top of that list of people that are going, I may not be in the main event scene at this exact moment, but I'm here to take it because now is the time. Now is the time to apply everything that I've worked for in this business for as long as I've been a part of it.
43:06and I think that that's a great attitude to have and I've got to tell you that when Bronson Reed walks in, he feels like as big a star as he's ever felt.
43:20Sam Roberts:I agree completely. The way he's walking to the ring, the look that he has and just the confidence the way that he speaks to Oba. Yes, yes, and the confidence that he has in owning the moment. You know what I mean? In taking that moment and making it his. Now, as we look at this in real time, we'll get right back to that. But this is footage they just put out of Jacob Fatou. Triple H posted this. Of Jacob Fatou getting loaded up into the ambulance. He's got oxygen on and everything. The Usos riding with him. Hey Pete, hey Pete, I'm going to hit you up. I got you. I'm going to hit you up. I got you.
44:04Stay with us. This is coming from the WWE Twitter account and WWE Instagram account. So if you want to see this video of the South Milwaukee ambulance taking Jacob out, Adam Pierce, trying to figure out what to do next. So, yeah, there you have Jacob Fatu gets taken out in that ambulance. Crazy, crazy, crazy scene to end Monday Night Raw. and I'm very interested to find out where that all goes but not surprising after you got hit by the car.
44:41Sam Roberts:Yeah, I wonder if the 946 will put out an Instagram video. I'm sure maybe tomorrow? Maybe, although they were pretty substantial in what they said on the show. So I don't know. But as you're just talking about Obafemi and Bronson Reed, once Bronson Reed signs that contract, Obafemi looks at him and this time there's no sort of ooh who's he talking about wise man he says straight up Paul Heyman is playing games with you he says Paul Heyman keeps bringing up that I'm a problem because I'm still breathing but the only reason he's bringing this up is because he knows I can't be stopped Obafemi in that moment is asserting to Bronson Reed and he's speaking, I'm sure, past Bronson Reed, out to Braun Breaker, out to anybody Paul Heyman is saying this to.
45:39He's playing with you guys. He knows you're not gonna stop me. He knows I'm not gonna stop breathing. And he's putting you in a position where you're going to be unsuccessful. And that's not what Braun Breaker wants to hear. That's not what Bronson Reed wants to hear. But do you feel like, I don't know if he's playing both sides of the fence, but do you feel like there's truth to that or do you feel like that's just Oba being his normal confident self?
46:09Sam Roberts:I do feel like there is some truth to that, given what we've seen and the dynamic between Paul Heyman and the vision as of late. I think, I don't think, I wouldn't like to think that Paul Heyman is purposefully sending somebody like Bronson Reed out on a fool's mission. And I do think that to underestimate Bronson Reed would be a silly thing to do. But I also feel like ever since the buildup to Sunday night's main event, instead of Paul Heyman going, okay, I'm going to share with you exactly what you need to do. Paul Heyman is just making observations and pointing things out and then allowing nature to take its course.
46:54He, and this is very atypical for Paul Heyman, He appears to just be an observer of what's happening.
47:02Sam Roberts:He doesn't seem committed to the vision as a group, right? Where typically when we see Paul Heyman working with someone, whether it be, you know, as the wise man to the tribal chief or when he was working with the vision when Seth was in the vision, like Paul Heyman is a very integral part. He has his finger on the pulse at all times. He knows what's going on. Yes. And he's not only does he know what's going on. He's calling the play for the most part. He's low-key dictating it. Correct. Yeah. Now, he seems like with the vision currently, whether it's Braun Breaker, Bronson Reed, it seemed more of a loving relationship from the on-screen interactions that we've seen.
47:42Sam Roberts:But it seems like Heyman has one foot in, one foot out. I'm just going to step back here. And is he in a loving relationship with Bronson Reed because he loves Bronson Reed, or is it because he wants to make it hurt for Braun Breaker? That's a good question as well. Paul Heyman is a maniac, dude. Yes. Paul Heyman will do that stuff. But I also think Obafemi can see with clear vision, for lack of a better term, everything that Paul Heyman is doing, and he can say, hey, listen, he's playing games with you. And that's what, I don't think that Paul Heyman is sending Bronson Reed out there for a failed mission, but Paul Heyman.
48:19But what if Paul Heyman is telling Obafemi, hey, you know, I'm just playing games with them. I know you're going to beat them.
48:25Sam Roberts:I wouldn't trust him. You wouldn't trust Paul Heyman? The situation he's in right now?
48:35He's, for a captain without a ship, he's oddly controlled. You would expect that this would be the red-eyed Paul Heyman, the gray coming out in the hair of Paul Heyman, the stubbled Paul Heyman.
48:48Sam Roberts:Where he's looking for someone to latch onto and he seems in panic, right? But he doesn't seem in panic at all. At all. At all. He knows what he's doing. I just don't know what it is. You see what I'm saying? Well, I'll tell you what. Topps Universe WWE 2026. It returns for year two, and it's available right now at tops.com. And not only was there a numbered card, there was a numbered Bray Wyatt.
50:20Sam Roberts:What? And Blasters, no guarantees, a numbered Bray Wyatt, and I got an autographed card of Stax. Ooh. From NXT, right there on card. So I had real good luck this weekend with my universe. Hopefully you guys all do as well. And we're going to need luck passed all over the place. Because it was announced tonight as the card shapes up for Money in the Bank. We've got our two ladder matches, of course. Yes. Which we're going to, on SmackDown, we're going to figure out the sixth participant in the women's and the sixth participant in the men's ladder matches. We've got Obafemi versus Bronson Reed. Yes.
51:01We've got Roman Reigns versus LA Knight. And we find out tonight that Stephanie Vaquer will be defending the Women's World Championship. Now, she said she was willing to defend it against both Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan last week. This week we find out that there will be a number one contenders match next week on Monday Night Raw. Liv Morgan versus Becky Lynch. Years since Becky Lynch has been in the Women's World Championship contender space. But this is big. This is a one-way ticket to that Women's World Championship match at Money in the Bank. and I'm going to add just straight up, Megan. Do you have a prediction?
51:48You think it's going to be Liv?
51:49Sam Roberts:No, I think it's going to be Becky. Really? Yep. You can't even say it. You can't even, you know, you know, little frog in my throat there. That's because Megan's allergic to lying. No, that's not. She's allergic to lying. She does not believe in Becky Lynch. No, because we even saw this. You can't even speak. That's fake news. You can't talk. I believe in Becky Lynch. It doesn't sound like you believe in Becky Lynch. Oh, if you are on the witness stand right now, you'd be, oh yeah, right. Little frog in my throat. I believe in Becky Lynch It's the angel on your shoulder saying why would you say this You know it's not going to go well for Becky But Liv Morgan doesn't believe that she can beat Becky Lynch Liv Morgan doesn't believe that she can beat Becky Lynch By herself Becky called her out and said that tonight Oh you can't win by yourself Okay can I win or not That's Liv Morgan's demo She doesn't care how she wins But that's just my point That's why You got a whole thing of frogs in her Do you have any frog be gone or anything like that?
52:43Sam Roberts:Look at this. This is great service right here. What's that, water? A water, yeah. The frog's going to be super happy. Frogs love water. So, let's get a lily pad while we're at it. Do I think my prediction? Listen, if you are already qualifying, well, you can't beat me this way, you can't beat me that way. Okay, whatever. I just got to figure out some way to beat you. I feel like Becky Lynch is already kind of Making excuses Well I do think Becky Lynch realistically Needs to factor in the judgment day Okay If we're being completely honest And that's part of preparing for Liv Morgan And Becky knows that She doesn't have any friends though Becky Lynch Maybe she doesn't need them Maybe she can overcome the whole judgment day Okay well guess what If anyone can do it Lola Vice got the victory tonight Against Roxanne Perez And then Raquel Rodriguez came out and, oh boy.
53:40And then Sol Ruka was like, don't worry, I'll come out to help. And Raquel was like, no, you won't.
53:44Sam Roberts:No, you won't. And then Roxanne has Pop Rocks. Yeah, and they stood tall at the end of that match. Now look, Lola Vice still got that dub. And that's all Becky Lynch needs to do. When they played when they walked out. The Judgment Day. That's right. The Judgment Day. And that wasn't even Liv getting involved. That was two-thirds of the ladies of the Judgment Day. Yeah, there was no Liv. There was no JD. There was no Dom. And Becky already embarrassed J.D. McDonough last week. Right. Calling him by his full name and bringing up his mom in front of everybody. He hated that. I mean, at school, did anybody ever come up and use your full government name, Samuel?
54:20No, I would never have that.
54:22Sam Roberts:And then talk about your mom. Mrs. Roberts? Yeah, bring up her name. No. Patricia. Patricia Roberts? Patricia McDonough. That's what Becky did last week, right? I know she did. I know she did. So J.D. in the Judgment Day. Dom coming after her. That's a grown-ass man. I mean She's got it coming She's got one coming I still think Becky's gonna win Okay but who do you think wants it more Okay it's one thing to go like Ooh it's been a while since I was here This is kind of fun And it's another thing to be like I lost the title I had a singular mission To be the longest reigning And greatest women's WWE world champion of all time And the reason that I lost it Is because I went in To Stephanie Vaquer's hometown because some goof made Becky Lynch the referee of that match.
55:11And because some goof, I think it was Adam Pearce. And when I had Stephanie Viqueira pinned, the referee put her two double middle fingers up at me.
55:26Sam Roberts:And Liv didn't have an answer. But don't you think that that's the type of hatred and venom that can fuel a victory? the hatred and venom for Becky, for what Becky did to her, for the, for the, for the Santiago screw job is what they're calling it. I do love that. That's, that's taken a life of its own. The Santiago screw job. Yeah. I mean, I think that once again, listen, but Becky hates the idea of live Morgan being the women's world champion so much that she was willing to go to those lengths to make sure that live no longer holds onto the championship. Right. So that's a hate that's deep. It's deep, but it's coming from a negative place.
56:08It's not wanting something. It's not wanting something. I want her to not. Not I want me to. Liv Morgan doesn't care about anybody else.
56:18Sam Roberts:Is Becky so worried about Liv becoming the champion that it could interfere with her getting the opportunity? I think so. Becky's out here going like, I don't think Liv Morgan should be champion. I think that the championship deserves to have the lineage respected and this and that. Like all these things as opposed to just being like, I want the belt. It's real simple sometimes. Liv wants the belt. She got screwed out of it. She wants it back. They said she wasn't going to beat EO at SummerSlam. She beat EO at SummerSlam. They said she wasn't going to beat Stephanie on Raw. She beat Stephanie on Raw.
56:56Now they're saying she's not going to beat Becky Lynch. If history tells us anything, I think that this is not going to be terribly cut and dry for Becky Lynch.
57:09Sam Roberts:I think she's definitely in an interesting spot, right? Yeah. But this is Becky Lynch that we're talking about. It's been two years since she's held that women's world championship. Since she's been in a match for the women's world championship. Right. I think Becky's ready to take what's hers. If Becky does not win this match next week, if Becky does not end up the number one contender, is she Jordan on the Wizards? Oh. Is she past her prime? Oh, don't say that. Yeah. Don't say that. Maybe the world title is a thing of Becky's past. What? It's possible. No, it's not. Not this Becky. You still wanted to go see him.
57:48That's Jordan. He might be playing for the Wizards. No. But it's still, you're seeing him. That's still fun.
57:53Sam Roberts:No, this is not Jordan. She already put the book out. This is all bonus. This is all postscript. Terrible. Yeah. You don't think so? No. Absolutely not. Okay. This is Tom Brady on the box. Come on. I thought it was Tom Brady in the booth, all those piss missiles. If they can say it on TV, we can say it on the podcast. That, I think, is the rule. That's broadcasting broadcasting. So I feel like it's fine. it's fine to say. All right, well, we'll see. I think there's a lot on the line in this match. And I think that Becky being out of that championship scene for two years, I think it's going to be very interesting to see if it's as easy to slip back in as she thinks it's going to be.
58:41Sam Roberts:No, she's Tom Brady on the box. She's winning another title. That's what's happening. And I'm just Belichick over here going, he did it without me. I can't believe it. Hey, at least you got Jordan. That's true. That's a good point. That's a good point. We got a prelude, I feel like, of the Money in the Bank men's ladder match. Speaking of the Judgment Day, we saw Penta and Javon Evans versus Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough. Great match. Amazing match. It's amazing to see the response. Penta has changed since the Roman match. Without question, he's changed. The response that he gets, the presence that he has in the ring, I feel like it's gone up even higher.
59:25You know what I mean? It feels now like, okay, this is a guy who is in that conversation. This is a main event world title guy that we're seeing. And I think we saw that in the match. There was that one miscommunication where Javon hit Penta with the OG cutter. Dominic Mysterio tried to take advantage of it. Javon kicked out of the frog splash. and then and leave it just a horrible injustice happens. The Judgment Day are just trying to win another right down the middle clean match. And Penta and Javon Evans have to use the numbers advantage. Joe Hendry comes out. He's not part of. They're obviously in cahoots.
1:00:10Well. Because they came out And helped Penta and Javon And I believe that that's somebody Dressed up as a Funko Pop
1:00:20Sam Roberts:No, it looks like JD's dad That's JD McDonough's dad Right there, yeah, it's a Funko Pop His mother fell in love with a Funko Pop I heard about it in a song I heard the song, I just don't think it's a work of pure non-fiction What are you talking about? Have you seen JD? Yeah, I see the resemblance But I mean And I don't know why they have to point out when people have a big head. You know, I mean, it is big. But a lot of people think that, like, if you have a really big head, it's like a very handsome trait. Do you feel like you're speaking from experience? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
1:00:55But the point is that JD is such a talent and does so much with that big head of his that to have it mocked the way it's being mocked is not cool at all.
1:01:07Sam Roberts:Funko Pops are cool. you have a bunch of them i have a bunch of a lot of stuff okay yeah i'm i don't want my mom to marry one that'd be crazy and i think that you know maybe joe henry just has a small head you know yeah anybody ever think of that no no jd's standard it's bigger than most pretty large i mean look it's a big head it's a big head big noggin but we know that okay let's get past it let's get on to some of the more positive traits you know he's good at head butting for example That's a good thing. But so. Not as good as a Samoan, but, you know. I mean, but who is? He's also very bright, J.D.
1:01:45Got a lot of information stored up there.
1:01:47Sam Roberts:Mm-hmm. You know? References, you know. All kinds of. Well-read. Well, it's super well-read. You could tell. It grows. So Joe Hendry and this Funko Pop are in the entryway. It distracts J.D. McDonough. while the distraction is happening, Penta and Javon Evans take advantage of it. Javon Evans hits that leap. And while Dominic is going, wait, what's going on? And what is Penta and a Funko Pop doing? I mean, what is Joe Hendry and a Funko Pop doing out here? Penta hits a Mexican Destroyer and pins Dominic Mysterio, one, two, three, just like that. He can't feel good about that victory. No, he can't.
1:02:29Sam Roberts:Well, one, because the Funko Pop is what distracted everybody. but two, you get hit with a Mexican Destroyer, game over. No, I meant Penta can't feel good about that victory. Penta's got to feel great. Come on, he capitalized on an opportunity. Well, I don't think it was very fair, but... What do you mean it wasn't fair? Dominic was sitting there, he hit the Mexican Destroyer. He's distracted by the big Funko Pop and the song about the Funko Pop. They got to get their heads in the game, you know? It's so big, okay? There might not be room for it. It's difficult, okay? Sometimes it's like when you go to a Lids, you know and you're like none of these hats are the right size for a head and everybody else that fits them perfectly but some people go and it's like no you need larger order yeah and they're like well we can it'll be here in three weeks and you're like i wanted to walk out with a hat today can't do it and then they say get your head in the game i go it's cold there's no hat on it they were they didn't have the size and well you get it so anyway Braun Breaker makes his presence known at that point and takes out Penta and takes out Javon Evans and I do want to say this saws them in half especially Javon Evans Javon was trying to use his tricks Javon has a lot of speed himself but I mean Braun Breaker just was going boom boom one side of the ring the next the next the next until boom just like a missile goes through Javon Evans and I think that the point of this was that a lot of people are talking about oh it'd be so cool Trick Williams might win money in the bank.
1:04:00Javon Evans might win money in the bank. Penta is a shoe in they say a shoe in to win money in the bank and they're not thinking about the fact that you have just a captain of destruction in Brombreaker
1:04:14Sam Roberts:one spear and Brombreaker can put someone out of the match. That's right so technically five total if he needs them like Braun Breaker is a difference maker but based on seeing tonight, you can hit five right, and to count Braun Breaker out of this match is an incredibly incredibly foolish mistake we'll find out next week who's getting that women's championship match it's gonna be Becky at Money in the Bank, well we'll see as well as so much more, we'll know who's in these Money in the Bank ladder matches and we'll recap it all after Monday Night Raw here on WWE now Now, subscribe across all audio platforms.
