In short
This Raw recap episode centers on Penta’s rise, the chaos around Solo Sikoa’s Money in the Bank path, and the fallout inside the Bloodline. Penta opens by praising Roman Reigns and declaring he will become World Heavyweight Champion—then later qualifies for the Money in the Bank ladder match via a triple threat qualifier. Guests/figures discussed: Penta (recently had a major match with Roman Reigns), Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough (Judgment Day), Dragon Lee (triple threat opponent), Solo Sikoa (kidnapped), LA Knight (Roman Reigns challenger), and the 946 (a violent, phone-video style group that abducts Solo).
Key claims
Penta’s momentum makes him a ladder-match favorite; the 946’s attacks are escalating and destabilizing Bloodline plans; Dominic tries to “weasel” opportunity from Adam Pearce; and LA Knight believes Roman’s weakness is legacy-building without Bloodline interference.
Notable examples
Solo is shoved into a car by the 946 before the qualifier; Penta defeats Dominic after a Mexican Destroyer and a kickout from a 6-1-9/frog splash sequence; Judgment Day and Becky Lynch/Stephanie Vaquer debate the “Santiago screw job.”

1:32Scam Goddess! We've got two new qualifiers for the Money in the Bank ladder match. It's a kidnap on Monday Night Raw. We've got controversy over the Women's World Championship and so much more. This is the Raw recap on WWE Now, a WWE and Fanatics original production.
2:02Well, Megan, you would think, you would think based on everything that we would start with said kidnapping, we will get there. It is insane what is going on on this show right now. What is going on on Monday Night Raw. Every week we come in thinking we're going to get something, and we get something completely different. I will say this. Even though it was not in the cards, the only thing we knew going into Monday Night Raw was that Penta was going to have something to say.
2:30Sam Roberts:Yes, of course. After last week, he has a lot to say. It grew into so much more than that. Another two weeks in a row now. Incredibly important, noteworthy, earmarked episode of Monday Night Raw for Penta. Penta starts out tonight's Monday Night Raw in San Antonio by saying, hey, I respect Roman Reigns. Last week was one of the greatest nights of my life after the match that I had with Roman Reigns. And I'm sure a lot of that had to do with the feedback that so many fans had on that match. and the way that it felt not only like Penta had outperformed already high expectations, but the amount of people that left going, man, Penta, that should have been Penta's night.
3:23Sam Roberts:A lot of people. And I mean, there's a lot of wrestling on television these days. And Penta occupied the conversation for an entire week. And he's ready to occupy a lot more because he goes now and says, I'm not done. We will meet. I respect Roman Reigns, he says, but we will meet again because I will be the world heavyweight champion. And he said, this is only the beginning. That's right, of this battle. And now I think that's the big difference after last week is that when Penta steps forward and says, I'm going to be the world heavyweight champion, like before last week, it would have been like, man, that would be cool one day.
4:04Well, it's good to have big goals.
4:05Sam Roberts:I mean, when Penta came into this studio not that long ago, a few months ago, I think that was before he became the Intercontinental Champion. He told us that that's why he came to WWE, right? To win world championships. And we had that reaction of, that's great. That'd be cool. It'd be really cool one day. Right. Well, guess what? That day could be tomorrow. That day could be when he cashes in a Money in the Bank briefcase. Yeah. That day could be any time after what we saw in Mexico City with Roman Reigns. And I think that that was the feeling going in. The question was, will Penta be in a different spot?
4:38Will Penta be elevated after that match? And I don't think there was any question. After the reception that he got on Monday Night Raw to start the show, he gets interrupted by Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough, who, by the way, I mean, listen, you go, well, of course. You just said it. When I said it was advertised that Penta was going to have something to say on Monday Night Raw, you said, of course you got something to say after what happened. Why wouldn't J.D. McDonough and Dominic Mysterio have something to say after what happened last week on Monday Night Raw? J.D. McDonough and Dominic Mysterio went into Mexico City, and they stood above absolute legends.
5:18J.D. McDonough, Dominic Mysterio, and Liv Morgan stood over El Grande Americano, Rey Mysterio, that deadbeat, and Stephanie Vaquer.
5:29Sam Roberts:A lot of people would say that Deadbeat and El Grande Americano and Stephanie Vaquer are, you know, arguably just as big as the OTC in Latin America. Well, you have two out of three champions laid out on the ground. And these three are standing above them. And you didn't say, well, of course, Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough would have something to say after last week. Why not? I mean, they always have something to say. I just don't think that people are clamoring to hear it all the time. Why is that? Why only some get to be clamored for? Because it usually has to do with a lot of complaining, you know?
6:10Oh, I know. I do this show. I know all about complaining. But I think that they have just as much right to get a little mic time, to do a little gloating. Why not take a victory lap after what they went through? And that's what they did. They came to the ring going like, all right. Like enough of this goal setting.
6:28Sam Roberts:I must have missed the time that Dominic Mysterio and or JD McDonough had a main event match on Monday Night Raw with Roman Reigns. I must have missed that. Well, I didn't have that specific. I didn't know that it was reserved for that specific match. Okay. But while Penta was vision boarding, Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough were like, hey, we'd like to have a moment to at least remind the audience how well we did last week in Mexico City. Now, unfortunately, you know, a lot of times you would question, well, who's going to come out and help Penta? He didn't really need anybody. He took out both.
7:04In that moment, I think he caught him off guard a little bit. He took out Dominic Mysterio and JD McDonough. But who would have thought that due to a series of, some would say, unfortunate events, that somehow we start Monday Night Raw with Penta saying, one day I will be back in contention for the World Heavyweight Championship. And we somehow end Monday Night Raw with Penta qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match. And by the way, completely turning that ladder match on its head because I've got to believe that as much as, you know, historically you want that Money in the Bank ladder match to be, oh, the absolute surprise, the guy that would never win it without the briefcase.
7:50Sam Roberts:The tool that elevates the superstar. now with the amount of people that were like man i now that i've seen it i want penta to have it i think penta is walking into that ladder match and it's a ladder match it's penta's specialty i think penta now all of a sudden walks into that ladder match an absolute favorite i mean dude you remember the ladder match at wrestlemania right of course people were talking about that forever. Of course I do. And Penta's a different superstar right now than he was at WrestleMania. Even at WrestleMania. That's 100 % right. And he's had many, many a ladder match before.
8:30Look, he's going to be in there with five other people.
8:33Sam Roberts:Brown Breaker, Trick Williams. Javon. Javon Evans. You know, I mean, they got a qualifying match on SmackDown between Gunther, CM Punk, and Finn Balor. Like, this is one of those years for the Money in the Bank ladder match that every time somebody wins a qualifier, we start going like, I don't know, I think they might be the favorite. But Penta, I don't recall somebody going in with this kind of momentum in the past. Like, I think that that's what can't be understated, especially because you go, okay, he gave us this incredible match last week. What's he going to do this week? And we end up with an incredible triple threat match.
9:15Now, the only reason he was in this match was because, as we said, Solo Sokoa is scheduled for this match. And honestly, I thought Solo Sokoa was going to win the triple threat.
9:24Sam Roberts:I thought Solo Sokoa was going to win the briefcase. Solo Sokoa was my Money in the Bank briefcase pick. Mine too. Pew Pew. Well, Pew Pew is right. 9-4-6 shows up and they bruise the face of Solo Sokoa. They beat him down. they shove him in the back of a car and they drive off with him and this was after Solo earlier in the night was trying to meet with the bloodline to come up with a plan to combat the 946 we gotta go through that whole scenario and we will but this was Solo and he was in his gear he was ready to go after that money in the bank ladder match and boom the 946 got him and I don't know that there's ever been a group like the 946 that just waits for those moments to seize them I mean, the 946 hasn't wrestled a match as a group.
10:13Sam Roberts:But they've lit a car on fire. They've lit a car on fire. And anytime you're at Monday Night Raw or anywhere, really, it's a 946. You don't have to be at Raw. Got to be on the lookout. Nobody's safe. And they weren't kidding. There is this thing that looms over Monday Night Raw going, who are they going after this week and what are they going to do? You know what I mean? And that's even as a viewer, as a watcher, you're sitting there going well something's gonna happen here or could sometimes it doesn't last week oh we're not here yeah but i still felt unsettled right when i watched the video they're like oh you guys thought that we would show up this week well that's the other thing we're not and then that made me feel like oh the 946 is even more dangerous because they're not here so wherever they are what are they doing and the videos themselves like they're not shot like videos that you see on a wrestling TV show.
11:08You know what I mean? They're shot on cell phones. There's this whole other sort of motivation going on over there that we still haven't been made crystal clear on. We still haven't been made clear as to why Royce Keys decided to make this move. But Dominic Mysterio sees all this is going on.
11:31Sam Roberts:This might have been my favorite part of Monday Night Rock. Well, he goes, well, that was one of the triple threat guys. Does that mean I just win automatically? Like, why was Dom even there? It had nothing really to do with him. He was waiting to go out. It was his match. Bloodline business. Adam Pearce clearly is in distress because not only does he have to take care of the chaos that was caused by the 946 and the fact that Solo Sokoa was kidnapped, but he also has to worry about this match. And then he has Dominic Mysterio just asking Adam Pearce to hand him a dub. I think it's pretty smart.
11:59First of all, I think if you think Dominic Mysterio is showing up for a Money in the Bank qualifier and going, hey, well, before I ask, I better make sure that Adam Pearce's schedule is free. That's not Dominic Mysterio's responsibility. Dominic is there to look out for Dominic because you know who else is? Well, everybody in the Judgment Day. But other than that, nobody. OK, so he goes up and he goes, maybe while all this chaos is going on, I could offer a solution. Right.
12:27Sam Roberts:I'll win. Maybe I'll go off for a solution. Why don't I just win, and then that way it won't be on your plate anymore? Here, Pierce, let me make this a whole lot easier. That's right. I'll just take the dog. I'll advance to the Money in the Bank ladder match. Yeah. No worries. You could even give me the briefcase right now. No problem. We could do that too. But, you know, let's just make me automatically win. You know, a lot of other superstars that are really focused on, you know, winning championships in WWE, they're really focused on, like, their match and their business, right? Yeah. But Dominic's over there lingering around.
12:59He's worried about it. What was he talking about? What do you mean lingering around? They were right by the entryway. That's where they got Solo Sokoa. He wasn't lingering around. He was literally worried about his business.
13:09Sam Roberts:Yeah, maybe he should worry about his entrance. That was about to happen. There was no match. Solo Sokoa was taken out. What does Dominic want to do? Go in there and go like, well, sure. I just felt like to use a word that you often use on this show, it seemed a little bit weaselly of Dominic Macero to do that. I'm just saying. It felt like he was being a little bit of a weasel. That's called taking destiny into your own hands. No, I thought he was trying to weasel a win out of Adam Pearce. Wrestling is not a team sport, unless your team is the Judgment Day. But it's not a team sport. It just seemed a little weasely to me.
13:38Sam Roberts:That's all. Just a little, little weasely. Well, you're coming across as passive-aggressive. I don't even think you believe that. I think you're just trying to get, you're trying to take a shot at me. I mean, the bloodline, they seem very distressed. I mean, in the Usos and Solo Sokoa, they certainly have their issues. Jacob and Solo Sokoa, they've had their issues as well. but like this is a family member who was just kidnapped. Right. And here's Dom who's not in the bloodline last time I checked. He's just trying to weasel opportunities. He's trying to gain opportunities because he's there for his match.
14:06If anything, the bloodline didn't have real business there.
14:09Sam Roberts:And LA Knight's there and he lost a friend, you know? Everybody there lost something and Dominic's looking to gain. LA Knight had no business there. He's like, hey, what happened to Solo? He drove away. That's his friend. That's his friend. Well, we'll get there because Dominic did not get his wish. Dominic instead was told to go to the ring And his music played And he did And Dragon Lee came out And then somehow Adam Pearce His schedule did free up A minute ago he was too busy to even deal with anything But now his schedule did free up And he said I promised you A triple threat and we're going to have a triple threat Here comes Penta And Penta is now in this match And the minute Penta comes out It's like oh my god This is what it's all about It was that moment when you go, oh, wow, Ross started this way with Dom and Penta, and now they're in the main event.
14:59Right. What a bookend to this thing. And we watch this match, and you can't take anything away from Dragon Lee either. This becomes a massive opportunity for Dragon Lee.
15:09Sam Roberts:When he hit that Styles Clash. I mean, all over the match. It was such an incredible triple threat match from top to bottom. From all three of those guys, the amount of time it went on for the amount of athleticism that was in that match was insane. All three people, and I know you don't like Dominic Mysterio for whatever reason, but Dominic Mysterio was incredible in this match, as was Dragon Lee, as was Penta. There was a moment right in the match after Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer on the apron. Right. Where I'm thinking to myself similarly to what I thought last week during the main event with Roman Reigns and Penta.
15:48Sam Roberts:How does this match end? And Dominic Mysterio hit the 6-1-9. And I said, oh, Megan, it ends 6-1-9. Frog splash. But Penta kicks out. It hits the frog splash and Penta kicks out. And that's the beauty of this match, right? Because you could go into this match thinking, oh, well, Penta is the hero. Penta had the Roman Reigns match last week. Like, we've been wanting Penta to get another opportunity immediately. Penta obviously wins this match. But throughout points in this match, you're like, oh, my God, Dragon Lee's got it. Dragon's got it. Dragon's got it. No. And in that moment, oh, my God, Dominic's got it.
16:25Dominic's got it. He's going to take advantage. Because they were completely utilizing those triple threat rules. When they're like, okay, I'm going to grab this opportunity. Like you can't when when a triple threat match is done at its best, you wouldn't really compare it to a one on one because there are just so many different opportunities and outcomes. So you're right. After that Mexican destroyer on the apron, Dominic hits the frog splash. Penta kicks out. Dominic gets frustrated. He rips the turnbuckle pad off the corner post.
16:58Sam Roberts:And how'd that work out for him? well unfortunately in this instance that time it took to rip the the turnbuckle pad off the post was the exact amount of time that penta needed to get up swing him around i tell you when penta and i was talking about this with the roman reigns match too when penta gets in that mode he is a ghost that just haunts an opponent that you look into those eyes that are not human eyes and you look at that face that there's no flesh on that face it doesn't resemble a human face and there is no like usually when you look into a luchador's mask and you see his eyes you see the human that exists under the mask but penta penta doesn't exist under the mask and you start to go oh my god there is no there's no killing this haunt and penta swings him around penta hits dominic into the exposed buckle springboard Mexican destroyer one two three Penta qualifies for the money in the bank ladder match and it's on I loved the match everything about it I'm really excited to see Penta in the money in the bank ladder match I think right now stuff to say who the favorite is but there's never been someone who's had this kind of momentum heading into the match i do have a question for you hit me can dominic mysterio legitimately call himself the king of the luchadors after losing to penta well he lost a triple threat yes he can call himself the king of luchadors you know what i mean it was a triple threat it was a qualifier penta wasn't announced in the match he was a surprise entrant of course he can call himself the king of the luchadors who's had a longer reign than him in recent memory with the triple a mega championship You know, every king has an off night.
18:52It's not fair to treat these kings as if they're going to be perfect, even when you're stacking the deck against them.
19:00Sam Roberts:Stacking the deck against them? 100%. I don't, I didn't see that. I mean. Hey, you're in a triple threat match with Solo Sakho and Dragon Lee. Now that you're in the ring, JK, JK, here's Penta. That would be stacking the deck against him. A king. Yeah, but when you're king of the old. A chicken tendy king. That would be stacking the deck against him. because you prepare for an opponent. You would know that if you were an athlete. You prepare. Oh, okay. You know what I'm saying? You prepare when you know what's in front of you. It would be like if they were like, oh, we're doing a 29-mile marathon.
19:32Sam Roberts:I think I'd prepare for 26. What the heck? Exactly. You'd be at mile 25. Yeah, now that you put it that way. Think about that. You're at mile 25. They go, four more miles, Meg. You're like, wait, what? I go one. What do you mean four more miles? Yeah, I wouldn't. Okay, now I'm on Dom's side. You know what I'm saying? And then you slow down, And you're like, I don't understand. Yeah. Right. You always got to put it in the context of running. Yeah, there we go. Yeah. I still don't, I don't know if you can be king of the luchadors if you got pinned by another luchador. But so you mean he's got to be undefeated where you can't be the king?
19:59That's ridiculous.
20:01Sam Roberts:Usually kings do stay kings. I mean. Yeah, but they could take a bad, they could have a bad evening. Okay. You know, you could have a bad evening. We had a good one last week. 21:12I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of New Shoes, Good Taste is my business, and I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Don't lie to me Liar Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
21:54I don't really care. So we were talking about the 946 and you were bringing up the complications with this group and the complications that this group has added to a highly dramatic situation between the bloodline, between Solo, between LA Knight. Like, it has become, there was a moment right around SummerSlam where the sides were pretty well, there was a hard line.
22:22Sam Roberts:Yes. And then when Solo Sakoa was brought to the tribal chief to say, okay, now you can acknowledge him. He said, no, there was a pretty hard line. But as soon as the 946 shows up, It has become more and more difficult to see where that line is anymore. I know. I was so surprised to see Solo Sokoa show up and address the Usos and Jacob Fatu and even suggest that they should be potentially working together to go after the 946. Well, they have common enemies, right? And what did, I mean, this is something, listen, Solo Sokoa cannot be getting along with the Usos and Jacob Fatu right now. but these are the people that he grew up with.
23:07These are the people that he knows. Jacob is in there telling the Usos to lay low and keep it slow. The Usos are saying, you say that every week. And Jacob's like, yeah, I mean it every week. Don't make the first move.
23:20Sam Roberts:It feels like the Usos are really struggling to comprehend what Jacob is telling them. And I'm not sure if that's because they're the captains or if it's because of just the power struggle within or their lack of understanding. of what the 946 is really capable of. Well, I think that they're instinctive for sure. They want to get back their pound of flesh. And I do think that there is something to Jacob putting out orders, like long-term orders. It's one thing to be like, just chill out for now. And they're like, okay, Jacob, we'll chill out for now. But when is the third week? And you're like, hey, stay chill.
23:58Right. And it's like, no, Jacob, you're not in charge here. I think that has a lot to do with it. I mean, he's a little car on fire. Yeah. I think that that has a lot to do with it. right but they lit the car on fire where were the usos when they lit the car on fire they were in the ring not listening to jacob solo comes in the room and he's and he's waving a peace flag by the way he's waving a little white flag okay that's how you know that everything's okay solo sekoa is waving a little white flag okay so it's like okay cool cool cool cool everybody's cool right and he says that we should work together.
24:34This is a situation of maybe not the best of friends, but a common enemy. Solo has been attacked. The Usos have been attacked. And I was talking about this on the radio earlier today about the fact that LA Knight is gonna have to deal with that because you remember LA Knight a couple of weeks ago said to Solo Sokoa, let's just pick the bones after the Usos and Jacob are done with them. Just leave them alone for now and pick the bones later. But Solo's the one that's being attacked. Solo's been attacked multiple times now.
25:02Sam Roberts:Yeah, it's easy to say we'll pick the bones when you're not the one. Right. Especially when... Getting your face kicked in. Right. This isn't your... You have an issue with Roman Reigns when we talk about L.A. Knight. That's where your focus is. You can't tell me L.A. Knight's focus is on the 9-4-6 and more specifically what Solo's problem with the 9-4-6 is. L.A. Knight just wants to focus on Roman Reigns and he should. He's got a World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank. But with all that said, where does Solo Sokoa go at that point? You know, Jacob has specifically put out there, do not split up.
25:39Do not separate. If you separate, they will take us out one by one. Don't do it. So when Solo comes in, the Usos go, okay, yeah, we can work together.
25:50Sam Roberts:And this is a different demeanor out of Solo, too. He's waving a white flag. Yeah, waving a white flag, but he's not really coming in like swaggy Solo. No, I don't know. He's not exact. I mean, he had the swag with the iced out sunglasses. He was shining them the whole time. Yes. He didn't necessarily have the like, I'm going to make fun of you, my brother's attitude. He wasn't insulting them. Yes. Whereas before he was. He was still cocky, though. He has to be. I mean. And when they said, yep, no problem. him all you have to do is acknowledge us as captains Jay and Jimmy and acknowledge Roman Reigns as the tribal chief and what did Solo say don't tell me it's a different Solo because Solo went like this uh that ain't happening I did love when he said that right and then and then Jimmy and Jay said okay well then you can be on your way and so I said that's all right then I guess It's back to the drawing board.
26:50And he walked right out. And Jacob said, you made a mistake. That was a mistake that you guys just made. Now, look, there is a part of that that goes, does Jacob really think it was a mistake? Or does Jacob have feelings when it's like, there's four people. There's Jimmy, there's Jay, there's Roman, there's Jacob. And what was asked for Solo was an acknowledgement for Jimmy, Jay, and Roman, not Jacob. Ultimately, that is a thing. It goes back to what you were talking about with them, you know, taking advice, say, from Jacob Fatu. And then it gets even more interesting because L.A. Knight shows up and he goes, what are we doing here?
27:33You know, he's not overly hostile at all. He's not saying he understands, I think, where Solo is coming from. But he said, we just got you out of the bloodline. you know keep in mind that that solo kind of had to win la night's trust as far as that was concerned definitely did the bloodline is a big deal to la night and the idea that he believes that solo is on the outs with that family is important and and foundational to their friendship so the idea that solo is now going like we can all work together that's where la night's gonna step up and go, what is all this? He needed some clarification, right?
28:14Sam Roberts:What is all that? Yes. Definitely. Yes. Because his relationship with Solo has come a long way, and he needs to make sure he can figure out what Solo's motive is. And whether he can trust him. Yeah. Especially heading into his match with Roman Reigns. Yes. Yes. Yeah, and I think, but he said, okay. He said he understood, and that's when the night goes on. and 946 end up jumping Solo Sokoa at the entryway before that triple threat, dragging him to the car, picking up his head so you could see the bruise on his face, throwing him in the back of their Cadillac and driving out of the arena. And now that's when you have the bloodline and Jacob and LA Knight.
29:03And LA Knight is looking at the bloodline as if how could you let this happen to Solo? and Jacob is telling Jimmy and Jey Uso, I told you so. But Jey Uso is telling Jacob, I told you so. See, I think from LA Knight's perspective, the bloodline is just not holding up their end of the bargain. He's just not impressed with the way they're handling business. I think from Jacob's perspective, he's saying, I told you we needed to keep Solo in. This goes back to what he was saying before about not being separated, about traveling as a group, staying together as a group.
29:37Sam Roberts:And preventing the 946 from picking them off one by one. One by one. But from Jay's perspective, I think Jay is sitting there looking at Jacob saying if you would just let us take out this group from the beginning, if we had just made the first move, then they wouldn't have been able to take Solo like that. I felt like when Solo was kidnapped and we saw what happened to him, I was very upset with Jimmy and Jay. With Jimmy and Jay? Yes. Very upset. Why? Because I held them responsible. I mean, here was Jacob telling him that was a bad idea. You guys should have taken Solo in. LA Knight is just kind of looking out, getting a bit of clarification on what Solo's relationship is with the bloodline.
30:20Sam Roberts:Right now, while I think LA Knight cares about Solo's well-being because that's his friend as it's been established, my sense from LA Knight is I don't want anything really to do with this because I have bigger fish to fry with the OTC. So I can't have this distracting, but I need Solo as my friend. So from the Uso's perspective, what would happen if the OTC gets back and he looks at his captains and he goes, you're working with Solo now? Last time I saw Solo, he had his thumb driven into the side of my neck. last time I saw Solo all I asked for was an acknowledgement and he said no and now you guys are protecting him what are we doing then Jacob would have to stand up and explain how dangerous the 946 is and then Roman looks at Jacob and then he looks at Jimmy and Jey Uso and he goes I thought you guys were the captains why is Jacob explaining this to me Jimmy and Jey have been through this before you know I'm playing devil's advocate for the Usos here but Jimmy and Jay have been through this whole game before.
31:33They spent years under the thumb of the tribal chief. And while this seems to be a more benevolent tribal chief than we used to have, one would think that the tribal chief would agree with Jacob. It makes sense what Jacob is saying, right? Sure. Unless the emotions are in play. When it goes, no, we want to help our own. We want this family to be together. But if that guy won't stand firm, if that guy won't acknowledge the tribal chief, if that guy won't acknowledge the tribal chief's captains, then that's a no-go for me. And I think that that's a possible outcome from Roman Reigns. And so if you've got guys that were just made captain that are making the wrong decision because they're listening to Jacob, then that sounds to me like Jacob's the one that's the captain.
32:21And they can't have that, can they?
32:23Sam Roberts:No, because Jacob wasn't appointed the captain role by the OTC. So it's like, then what's happened to our organization while Roman's gone? It's a mess. It's in shambles. So it's almost like, then you got to trust your captains to make the call. That said, it might've been the wrong call because Solo Sokoa left in the back of a Cadillac Escalade. But Roman doesn't really care about that, right? I don't know because Roman is big on respecting the family. Roman feels as though if family members are being disrespected. They're all being disrespected. Yes, yes. Not to the same level of captains, but he said it before, where the purpose of this is for that family to be the benchmark of WWE.
33:10Like Jacob, when he looked at Royce Keys in the face all those months ago and said, you're just one of the boys. I'm bloodline. It gets complicated when Solo won't acknowledge his tribal chief, but he does carry the lineage. Do you allow somebody who carries the lineage to be treated that way because he won't acknowledge the tribal chief? Maybe that's what the Usos are struggling with. Maybe that's what Jacob's struggling with because I don't have the answer. You know, all we're doing is speculating, right?
33:42Sam Roberts:I know. That's all we can do. And you bring up a great point because I'm obviously a big fan of our pew pew king, Solo Sokoa. You love him. So when Solo Sokoa gets kidnapped and gets his face kicked in by the 946, I need someone to blame. And so I want to blame the Usos for that. But when you think of the tribal chief's perspective on all of it. Maybe you can't. That's true too. You know, that's why devil's advocate is so funny. But then I think what you really have to work into the equation is we haven't seen where this is going with the 946, right? Yeah, we've barely even seen how it started.
34:20Sam Roberts:Exactly. And so Jacob keeps saying we need to stay together because if not, they're going to pick us off one by one. Right. We haven't seen that ripple effect yet. Well, we started. They got Solo. But it hasn't started to impact the current bloodline. Okay, but if the Usos and Jacob have a blow up, that's where this starts to happen. The numbers are dwindling now because Solo got scooped up. But, you know, I want to tell you about what's going on wardrobe-wise. I don't know if you've heard about this, but dashing? Dashing never goes out of style. And with that in mind, the Cody Rhodes Retro Tee is available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics.
35:07Dashing Cody Rhodes. If you want to go and represent the American nightmare back when he was dashing, The Dash and Cody Rhodes shirt, retro tee, available now at WWE Shop and Fanatics. 36:41You're fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me.
37:16Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I don't really care. So, L.A. Night hit the ring, apart from all of this happening, to address Roman Reigns. And L.A. Night said it right to the audience, right down the barrel of the camera, like it or not, I am the plans, he said. He said that he struggles with the fact that he has to acknowledge Roman Reigns' greatness, that Roman Reigns is one of the greatest to ever do it. He could be the greatest champion of this generation, could be one of the greatest of all time.
37:56He said that he questioned whether or not he could beat Roman Reigns. He said as much as everybody there wants him to be the world heavyweight champion, most of them don't believe he can and he doesn't blame him because he's had that question for himself because three years ago he was in the ring with Roman Reigns and he couldn't get the job done but this is a different
38:18Sam Roberts:Roman Reigns LA Knight goes on to say this is a Roman Reigns who's trying to rewrite his legacy by doing things on his own by not having the bloodline involved but you know what LA Knight said about all of that well yippee skippy yippee skippied him he did and this is the first time one of Roman's opponents in this era has pointed out, like they kept bringing up the bloodline getting involved, the bloodline getting involved, the bloodline getting involved. L.A. Knight seems to be the first opponent that's sitting there going like, no, I'm paying attention to what's going on. And he's different.
38:52The bloodline is not getting involved. But I like that L.A. Knight is not saying that in this sense of mystery. I wonder why the bloodline's not getting involved. I wonder what's going on here. he understands that Roman's choosing not to get the bloodline involved because the way he perceives it Roman is like you said building out on that legacy that on some level and LA Knight's the first to point it out he believes that Roman to himself wants to prove that he can do it without the bloodline and I think that LA Knight sees that as Roman's one weakness that he is trying to do this without the bloodline to prove that he can do this.
39:37But from LA Knight's perspective, Roman never beat LA Knight one-on-one. So the fact that Roman isn't bringing out the bloodline becomes the chink in Roman's armor, becomes the one bit of weakness that Roman Reigns has that LA Knight is planning to exploit. And I think that LA Knight, if anything, has proven his ability to exploit any little moment that Roman Reigns leaves open. LA Knight has driven Roman Reigns' skull into the canvas twice now with BFTs because he's picked his spot, he's gotten the timing just right, and he's delivered. I think LA Knight is coming into this match a studied man, a learned man.
40:29I would agree with that. A learned. Yes, a learned man who has gone through and figured out Roman's motivations because he's not just picking up on what Roman is doing. He's got a why for Roman Reigns. And it feels as though his plan is to exploit not just the what, but the why.
40:49Sam Roberts:It's wild to think it was three years ago since LA Knight and Roman Reigns had that match. Because obviously, as LA Knight points out, Roman is a completely different person since then. and the fact that he's doing it on his own. But LA Knight, while he had the fan support three years ago, at that time, it seemed like LA Knight getting this Roman Reigns match feels like an LA Knight moment. But what's happened in those three years for LA Knight? That's just grown and grown and grown and grown. And I love when LA Knight pointed out in this promo tonight that he's, from his perspective, he is the most self-made SOB in the game because I think that's exactly what we've seen from LA Knight over three years.
41:30Well, we've talked about that, right? The idea that like people have been realistically, there are people who have been waiting for this thing to run its course. They've been waiting for the audience to tire of him. They've been waiting for people to stop doing the catchphrases. They've been waiting for it not to work. And you're right. It hasn't happened. And it's grown and it's grown. And it grew tonight in San Antonio. They were screaming along With every word that LA Knight said I mean There are a lot of people who couldn't pull off Yippee Skippy in a promo LA Knight pulled off Yippee Skippy to the point where you wrote it down
42:09Sam Roberts:When he was talking about the tribal chief Of all people Yippee Skippy You know and that's LA Knight That's the whole MO Of LA Knight Is that there are no sacred cows When it comes to LA Knight There is nobody that LA Knight looks at and goes like, well, gee golly, I don't think I ever could. Well, gee, I just don't know if I'm as good as he is. You know, LA Knight questioned whether or not he could beat Roman Reigns, but when he questioned that, he did it in the context of the old Roman Reigns. LA Knight has watched Roman Reigns have a classic with Penta, have a classic with Seth Rollins, have two classics with Jacob Fetu, have a classic with CM Punk.
42:49And LA Knight is saying, that's the Roman that I can beat. That's the Roman that has a weakness. because if Roman isn't cheating, I'm able to beat him. And all of a sudden, like, you know, it's so interesting to me. I feel like when Roman was championed before, when the bloodline was running its course, if you had a conversation about whether or not Roman might lose, it wasn't a serious conversation. It wasn't at all. It was an exercise at best.
43:22Sam Roberts:Except for like, there are a few exceptions. I would say Montreal against Sami Zayn, one of them. Yeah. Cody Rhodes at 39. Yes. Yeah, sure. Sure. A few exceptions. But for the most part. Yes. Yes. Now, because this story is evolving as quickly as it is, you have that question because this becomes now a unique story in the Roman Reigns match, right? The CM Punk and Roman Reigns story was unique. The Jacob Fatou and Roman Reigns story was unique. The Seth Rollins and Roman story was unique. The Penta and Roman story was unique and they all had different reasons for being in different directions that they could go in.
44:01And I would argue that tonight, LA Knight created the uniqueness of what is going on between Roman and LA Knight. That this is the first time that somebody has pointed out Roman is trying to carve out a legacy. And listen, one could argue that when a champion is actively thinking about their legacy while they're champion, they're not thinking about what's right in front of them. It's very difficult to think about what's right in front of you as well as your larger body of work. The larger body of work doesn't really come to fruition until the end.
44:39Sam Roberts:Yeah, we can't name an era while we're in the era, right? That's right. but LA Knight is sitting there saying not only is Roman playing this game honestly in the sense that he's not using the bloodline the reason why he's not using the bloodline to interfere in these matches he's building his legacy and if he's worried about his legacy and he's not using outside interference those are two things that LA Knight believes are in the corner of LA Knight and that is a story that is to me compelling I agree That is where you get into the, oh, that's LA Knight's window that he can go through. And it makes you go, okay, now I want to see what happens in New Orleans.
45:21Now I want to see if LA Knight has identified the strategy. LA Knight has identified the weakness. LA Knight has identified his how. Now it's time to watch him execute on it.
45:34Sam Roberts:Will we see the LA Knight moment in New Orleans? We've been waiting for it. We have. It's possible. it's possible you know more possible now than ever before well i tell you too speaking of championships uh a lot of conversation this week between it started with the judgment day in the ring so the judgment day everybody had something to get off their chest right jd mcdonough showed up and said once and for all his dad is not a funko pop and it's very upsetting to his mom. Yeah, because Joe Hendry was out there with a bunch of fans and got them all to sing about JD's dad being a Funko Pop. Yeah, I mean, this is like, yeah, I don't know.
46:16I hope that that's not going to be a part of Joe Hendry's album. Feels very Kendrick Drake to me. Just not the type of beef you want to... Who's who? I haven't heard JD's stuff.
46:30Sam Roberts:Oh, okay. I don't know yet. Alright. I kind of feel like Joe Hendry's probably Kendrick. But... Okay. But he says it's upsetting to his mom. JD said it doesn't bother him. I believe him. JD's not going to go on television and lie, okay? But he says it's upsetting to his mom because his mom did not marry a Funko Pop. That's not, that's ridiculous. Then Raquel gets the mic. She's got something to get off her chest too. What could the intercontinental champion have to get off her chest? Well, it's that she's disappointed in Texas. She's from Texas. She's from Texas. You can't believe this is how the people are acting there.
47:05It's disgusting to her. and I get it you know what I mean I get it she I would be dismayed too and showing up in your hometown and this is this is the response you get right as a champion too as a champion and they've been on that journey with Raquel yeah and then Liv Morgan steps up right there with Daddy Dom by her side and she says that the screw job of Santiago are people calling it that they're calling it the Santiago screw job.
47:34Sam Roberts:Oh. Yes, that's what they're calling it, the Santiago. Is it right up there with Montreal or is it up higher than Montreal? I'll tell you this, it's more of an alliteration so I think it could be higher. Wow. Yeah, it's a big deal. It's a big deal. Don't have documentaries about this at all? I mean, it wouldn't be a very long documentary because it's pretty clear what happened. You know, I don't think that you could argue that she lost the title in a very honest way. The double flipping of the bird I don't know. I thought referee Rebecca was doing a really good job. Well, she was described by Liv Morgan as a crooked referee, which had to sting.
48:10Which had to sting to see that mirror hitting you back. Becky Lynch, described by Liv Morgan as crooked referee Becky Lynch.
48:21Sam Roberts:There's only one crooked referee in WWE. And that's Jessica Carr. You still think she's crooked? I know she's crooked. Because of all the stuff from before? I saw it from a long time. I don't forget. It all counts. No, you're right. Everything counts. Everything counts. And Santiago loved Becky. People loved Jessica Carr. They didn't get, she didn't get that reaction. The reaction that Becky got. No, that's true. That's true. But that's mainly because Becky decided not to count, to flip off Liv Morgan instead. I thought she was doing a great job. As a referee? Yeah. Great job. Or just as a human?
48:51Sam Roberts:Both. Oh, wow. Both. Wow. Both. Yes. Well, apparently, according to Becky, who interrupted the Judgment Day's meeting, she was up in the audience. she said uh uh the man has come around and then to san antonio and then she called out jd by his full name government name yes she did yes she did jordan devlin mcdonough yeah which i didn't think we were doing that i didn't think we were doing it i we were you know anybody that's been watching long enough understands they remember the days but becky i think was was i mean using some of the the Irish commonalities to her advantage. Well, she talked to Patricia.
49:27Who's that?
49:28Sam Roberts:That's JD's mom. Yeah, I know. She mentioned her by name too. Patricia. Yeah, I mean, Patricia not only upset about the Funko Pop, she's very upset to see her son, as Becky put it, playing a towel boy for a bunch of dopes. And wearing gang colors, she said too. Yeah. You know, and I didn't know. First of all, he's not a towel boy. He's a full-fledged member. And second of all, no dopes. no dopes, you know, Becky said that not only was she not a crooked referee, she was actually, a lot of people are saying the greatest referee of all time. And it's not, it's not just her. A lot of people are saying that, especially in Santiago.
50:05It's not just her saying it. And she says that live lost her match and she needs to get to the back of the line is what she said about live Morgan.
50:15Sam Roberts:What happens when you lose? Can't just demand all these rematches all the time. A lot of champions have rematches after losing their title when a special referee flips them off in the middle of a pinfall attempt. And here comes Stephanie Vaquer. Stephanie Vaquer comes out and she goes like, first of all, Becky, I respect you. But who gave you the jurisdiction to be declaring who gets title matches and who doesn't? Becky's not involved. You're talking about people. Okay. All right. You're talking about people getting involved in business that's not theirs. Literally. It is hers. How? Liv Morgan comes out to challenge the champion.
50:51Becky is not that human.
50:53Sam Roberts:No, but... Liv Morgan lost the title to Stephanie. Yes. Liv came out to challenge Stephanie to a rematch. And then Becky comes out. Explain to me why. Well, she came out to call out Jordan Devlin McDonough. No, she did not. That's why she initially came out. But then, yes, she did. She got off the phone with Patricia. I know what she did. We went over this already. His whole life. I know that. I know that. But you want to get, I mean, you were about to say, because she's the reason. She's the reason that Stephanie Vaquer won the title. So that's a terrible referee. No, it's not. I will not take it.
51:30If I told you, if I told you that the reason somebody became a champion was Danilo, wouldn't you go, well, that doesn't make Danilo a very good referee.
51:40Sam Roberts:Well, the reason Becky lost her intercontinental championship was because of Jessica Carr. Oh, I didn't know we were doing Raw Recap from six months ago. I thought we were doing Raw Recap from tonight. I thought we were going to focus on tonight's show. I thought that was, or did I not get the, are we doing Raw Recap six months ago? No, we're doing tonight's show. We're going to do tonight? Yeah, we're going to do tonight. Okay. So then Stephanie, and I don't know. I mean, Stephanie's, Stephanie's honorable. I will say that. I did agree with Liv Morgan when Stephanie was like, look, I am the champion and it has nothing to do with Becky.
52:12Sam Roberts:And then Liv called her out and was like, you're just a liar. yeah and that's when i said you know what i think i am on team live in this situation that there was it was at least something to do with becky yeah i feel like stephanie needs to at least like tip her cap and be like okay becky yeah you helped so becky is a great referee and also responsible for the result yeah two things could be true okay i didn't know those i didn't know those two things could be true yes oh okay well she had to you know i didn't know okay Also for Liv, she doesn't defend the title. She was defending it in Santiago.
52:49Sam Roberts:I know, but when you defend your title, things tend to happen. She wasn't prepared for that. She literally defended her title against Stephanie Viqueir days before that with a referee who wasn't Becky Lynch. Before that, how often did she defend the title? She defended against EO at SummerSlam. Before that? Not. Correct. You don't have to defend the title. Well. You can, but you don't have to. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, technically you don't have to, but people don't generally like that. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was the popularest wrestler championship. You mean they don't like it?
53:28You think that would really upset Liv Morgan? No, she doesn't care. But Liv, people don't like it. Oh, no. You know what Liv likes? Being the greatest women's champion of all time. Okay? Okay, Liv really wasn't worried about whether or not you liked how often she was defending the title. It wasn't really a concern, I don't think. She made it pretty clear.
53:47Sam Roberts:Listen, Liv and Becky do have one thing in common. They know that Stephanie wouldn't have the title without Becky. And then Stephanie steps up and she goes, not only will I give Liv Morgan a rematch, but I will also defend it against Becky Lynch. And I'm like, Stephanie. That's a lot. I know you're confident, but like, relax. Enjoy the title a little bit. I mean, I feel like if I were champion, I'd be more like Liv Morgan, where it's like, oh, you guys both want the title, huh? Figure it out amongst yourselves. Yeah, you definitely would. And that might be the smarter thing to do as a champion, right?
54:21Sam Roberts:Yeah, I'd probably join the show via satellite. I'd be on the big screen. I'm at home. I'm in Westchester right now. I'm at home. But you guys figure out. You guys, I don't know. Talk to Adam Pearce or something. You guys seem to have a handle on this. You guys figure this out amongst yourselves, and then give me a call when you're ready. Let me know how it goes, right? Yeah, I don't know anything about that. Yeah, you know, that's a great point, though, for Stephanie. Is this wise of her? I mean, by your standards, she, I think, fits more by your standard. Champions got to defend. Yeah, got to defend, but you're going to defend against the greatest female wrestler of all time.
54:53Sam Roberts:And then also... Becky Lynch. Well. Right? Well, I was referring to Becky Lynch when I said the greatest female wrestler of all time. Well, I mean, technically... But that was the greatest women's world champion of all time. If you're the champion and you're going to defend against every, you should be, yes, you should be defending your title against the person who that people are saying is the best. Because if you're the champion, you're supposed to be the best. So, yes, you're not supposed to find like, you know, it should be like TLC. You're supposed to not want no scrubs. That's right. Supposed to.
55:26But if you can get away, like if I were champion, I'd try to defend against scrubs. Because you keep the title longer that way, you know?

57:13Oh my God, Lexi. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Iwano. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa DiGiulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. I'm not gonna get anywhere fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of New Shoes, Good Taste is my business, and I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're gonna talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser.
57:55We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I don't really care. Now, when we talk about the Judgment Day and everything, of course, it was a big night for Roxanne Perez,
58:24Sam Roberts:who made it in to the Money in the Bank ladder match, but also the Money in the Bank ladder match on the men's side causing quite a bit of friction. Javon Evans. I feel like Javon Evans has entered into this space where, you know, Byron Saxton, who I heard if you ask him, what do you think of Javon Evans? You know what he'd say? I like him. That's right. I like him. I like him. But that didn't come up because he was unbiased in his journalism. him. Corey Graves likes him too. He did say, that's true. That's true. What's nothing like about Javon Evans? I mean, he's a party. Very fun to watch. But I don't think Javon Evans likes the fact that that's how people describe him.
59:05I don't think that Javon Evans loves the idea of like, isn't it fun that you're the youngest person that's ever been in a ladder match?
59:12Sam Roberts:Isn't it fun that you do these crazy moves? Right. No. Electrify crowds. Yeah. That, that, that sounds like somebody that you talk to that is specializing in exhibition matches. And I think Javon Evans is getting to this point where he realizes that he's on the main roster. He's in shark-infested waters, and he's got to stand out. And I think there's an aggressive streak that has been forming in Javon Evans for the last several weeks that we really saw on display tonight. Yeah, when you talk about Javon Evans in a ladder match, everybody goes, oh, can you imagine the crazy things that Javon Evans is going to do?
59:47Sam Roberts:but we haven't yet dove into can you imagine when Javon Evans climbs up to the top of the ladder grabs that briefcase and what he'll do next to become champion when you say we haven't dove into it yet and you're talking about Javon Evans was that a pun it wasn't a pun I wish it was nice I wish I could just lie to you and say yeah I planned that but no it wasn't lie next time all right so own it when you it's right I lie all the time yeah I know I mean okay you all know I was lying just then. I don't lie. So I got him in there. So Javon Evans counts these members of the vision. And instead of being like, okay, that's too many.
1:00:29He counts five and slaps Braun Breaker.
1:00:32Sam Roberts:I was jaw on the floor when he did that. Across the face. Now we get to this match. Javon Evans versus Braun Breaker. And I thought that it was a really sort of outstanding, compelling match to see where Javon Evans is at right now. The fact that, like, Javon Evans did not have an answer for Braun Breaker's power. Braun Breaker was bullying Javon Evans at the beginning of this match. But he went in completely confident. He went in unafraid of Javon Evans catching him. And Javon Evans caught him. And when Javon starts going, if you don't catch up to him and stop him, he's not going to stop. And I think that that's what we saw in this match from from from the dives to the flips, the strikes, the kicks, the fact that Javon would take out Braun Breaker and then he'd take out Theory and then he took out Bronson Reed and then get back in the ring.
1:01:30So he was ready for Braun Breaker. And you're sitting there going like Braun, the speed.
1:01:34Sam Roberts:When does this guy come up for air? Speed is usually Braun Breaker's weapon. Yeah. But Javon Evans, I mean, he's a bolt of lightning. Truly. It's incredible to watch this guy go. We see, and I think that that was the difference between what Braun and Javon Evans were doing. The Braun Breaker was powerful and aggressive, but it was ego driven. Whereas Javon Evans seemed to be coming from a place where he had a chip on his shoulder. Yeah, I felt that a lot from Javon Evans, especially the fact that he counted the vision members, slaps them in the face and immediately goes out to like he was not taken aback by the numbers game.
1:02:17Sam Roberts:He was just as confident. And even, you know, when Ron Breaker brings his power towards him, Javon Evans matches him with the speed and agility and his ability to just not stop. Right. Yes. Yes, and it was really, really impressive to the point that the match didn't end until Javon was going for that OG cutter. And Theory got involved. The referee saw him. Ring the bell. DQ. No contest. Javon Evans, I guess we get the decision via disqualification. But the beatdown was about to commence. And then, boom, Oba's music hits. And you almost forgot for a second that this guy was looming. You almost forgot for a second that this guy had a score to settle based on what the vision did to him right after Bronson Reed returned to the WWE.
1:03:06And here he comes, and I swear, Megan, I swear he was bigger when he came out.
1:03:11Sam Roberts:Every time, he looks bigger. Like, I could not believe it. Oba coming out, making the save, and taking out the entire vision, including Bronson Reed. Logan Paul tries to dive in the ring with a chair. I mean, I feel like a day or so removed from spending 30 hours hunting Pokemon on a live stream. Logan Paul thinks he can go from hunting Pokemon to hunting Obafemi. You can't hunt the ruler like Pokemon. Nope, didn't work out for him. No. Obafemi stopped him in his tracks, took the chair and used that chair to completely dismantle the vision and then opened the gateway for Javon Evans, picking up Javon Evans and using him as a weapon, throwing him into the entire vision.
1:03:58Sam Roberts:Now, we knew how powerful he is throwing things and people, right? Yes. This is a former shot putter. But when Obafemi was just kicking Bronson Reed. Oh, did you see how high that boot got up? Oh, my gosh. Unbelievable. And Obafemi, by the way, came out in his gear. Yes. Obafemi didn't come out in his style. This wasn't stylish Oba. No. This was fighting Oba. That's exactly what he did. And I mean, it really was. I swear. And I said it out loud when it happened. Like you watch this guy and you listen to the reaction. And I'm just sitting there going, Oba's the guy. And it doesn't even matter if there's five, six, seven.
1:04:37Sam Roberts:If it's Oba Femi, you can overcome any numbers advantage. And that's what you want. And that's what you want to see. When you're in the audience, that's what you want to see. And he does the pose at the end and everything. It was just remarkable. The look of intensity on this guy's face. And look at, there's Obafemi signs behind him. I mean, this is it. That's the face of nightmares. That is what is controlling destiny in the WWE, not just for him, but for everybody. It's one of those where no matter what your goals are in WWE, that's what you've got to deal with, so get used to it. And this right here, this site of Obafemi right here is why Paul Heyman has to keep reminding Braun Breaker that there's air in Obafemi's lungs.
1:05:26Okay, yeah, but I liked what Braun Breaker did.
1:05:28Sam Roberts:You did? Braun Breaker going right up to Paul Heyman. Because this whole, you know, trying to win over Paul Heyman's approval, for me, it's not a good look on Braun Breaker. No. Braun Breaker shouldn't be looking to win over anybody's approval. He's Braun Breaker, okay? and Paul Heyman goes hello Mr. Breaker we haven't heard him call him Mr. Breaker yet I don't know I don't know Paul Heyman has always addressed him he might have I'm not 100 % sure but after hearing Mr. Breaker Bron Breaker calls him hello Paul and you're like okay we're setting the table already and Paul Heyman looks at Bron Breaker and he says there is air in Obafemi's lungs and that's bad news for you.
1:06:16And then Brom Breaker, who has had about enough of hearing that from Paul Heyman, looks at Paul Heyman and he goes, yep, but there's air in my lungs and that's bad news for everybody. Paul Heyman looks at him and goes, everybody? And I mean, daggers in his eyes, Brom Breaker looks at Paul Heyman and says, everybody. Now, I don't know if Paul Heyman is enacting some kind of strategy to bring out that daug in brawn breaker, but I'm telling you right now, there may be a brawn breaker problem that's brewing. Everybody wants to look into what's going on in the future. Everybody's talking about that Cody Rhodes promo from SmackDown.
1:07:04Of course, how could you not? And looking for all the sort of long play clues in that. There's so many things. when you look across what's going on in the main event scene on Raw, what's going on in the main event scene on SmackDown. But I'm telling you right now, these interactions between Braun Breaker and Paul Heyman, they need to be studied because something is happening. There's a lot of stuff that goes on with Braun Breaker now where you go, what is happening? What is going on with Braun Breaker? And I'm telling you that it's a question worth asking because we're going to get to a something's got to give point.
1:07:35And if Paul Heyman is pushing Braun Breaker to try to get the best Braun Breaker, by the time he does get the best brawn breaker, is that somebody that brawn breaker is going to want to be around? Paul Heyman. Or is he going to push him too far and turn him into a monster that he can't control? You know, that may be what he's dealing with here. I'm fascinated by it. I'm intrigued. I'm beyond intrigued by it.
1:07:57Sam Roberts:Given that it's Paul Heyman right now, both are on the table. That's right. That's right. But given that it's brawn breaker, Paul Heyman may not have as much control as he thinks he does. Oh, wow. It's brawn breaker. like we lose sight of that too much. That's brawn breaker. Okay. Obafemi is not the only guy who's the future. There's room. There's a lot of story to tell. And we're going to keep looking at that story, observing that story, maybe even recapping that story here on Raw Recap. Make sure you're subscribed across all audio platforms, listening on WWE radio on SiriusXM, leaving comments, hitting like on YouTube, and we will see you next week here on WWE Now's Raw Recap.
