In short

WWE Raw recap focused on (1) the Penta vs Roman Reigns title-shot path after the Lucha Brothers’ tournament finale, and (2) a Bloodline storyline escalation sparked by Royce Keys and OTM’s parking-lot assault, with Jacob Fatu taking direct orders from Roman.

Guests (on the episode)

Sam Roberts and Megan Morant (hosts/commentators for “Raw Recap on WWE and Now at WWE”).

Guest backgrounds

Sam Roberts is a WWE media personality and commentator; Megan Morant is a WWE broadcaster/host.

Key claims

  • Ray Phoenix “defied expectations” to beat Penta in the tournament finale, highlighted by near-falls (Hurricane Rana, kicking out after going through the commentator’s desk).
  • Roman Reigns frames the title shot as something earned via the tournament, not “bitching and whining.”
  • Royce Keys’ violence is portrayed as a new, more dangerous side; Jacob Fatu is positioned as the only one capable of handling Royce Keys and OTM.
  • Jacob’s mic being cut and his aggressive actions signal he’s “off the leash.”

Notable examples

  • Ray Phoenix landing on his feet and surviving extreme spots.
  • Royce Keys using a lead pipe, smashing windshields, and beating the Usos until they’re taken to a medical facility.
  • Roman Superman-punching LA Knight backstage, then ordering Jacob to deal with Royce Keys.

2:13It is official. Penta versus Roman Reigns is on the way, but Roman Reigns has a lot of problems. Royce Keys and OTM make their presence known. The Judgment Day triumphs. Chad Gable gets his next opponent and so much more. This is the Raw recap on WWE and Now at WWE and Fanatics Original Production.

2:44If you get sing-songy at the end of a cold open, then it corrects any sort of stumble. earlier in the cold open. Welcome. I thought you blew it there. I was like, come on, Sam. We're going off the rails early. Wouldn't have happened. Not to me. You almost blew it. Didn't even come close. Very close. Not close whatsoever. And I would know. I mean, maybe close for me. Very close. But for most people, that's still so far removed. Sam Roberts, Megan Morant, Raw Recap on WWE Now. And what a Raw to recap. So, I mean, it's no surprise. Like people walked in to Penta versus Ray Phoenix. The Lucha Brothers collide for the first time in a WWE ring with major expectations.

3:30Huge. And I think people went into this entire tournament with major expectations. But I have to say, based on this match with Penta, based on the match that he had with Dragon Lee, Based on his entire performance in the tournament, I think that Ray Phoenix has opened the eyes of the world. Anybody that didn't realize what a presence Ray Phoenix is has been, well, they've been learned. Of course they have. I mean, you can look at any of the matches that he has been a part of in the last three or four weeks. I mean, even go to NXT. I mean, this guy is all over the place. every time he delivers every single time yeah and and keeps like feels like he keeps upping his game he keeps upping his game and there were real moments and you could hear it in the in the energy in the audience in cleveland i think that you must have felt it watching it i know i did that there were these moments where it was like ray phoenix is going to do this i thought so i think penta the minute they announced the brackets yes penta was a heavy heavy favorite on this thing But I think that Ray Phoenix defied a lot of expectations building up to the finals.

4:42And I think that, I mean, there were multiple moments, even in that one moment at the very end, when Ray Phoenix was having Penta bring it on, bring it on. And then he pops up, hits him with that Hurricane Rana. It was like, is this going to be the moment? Is this going to be the moment? Kick out. Yes. And then the other part for me was when Ray Phoenix landed on his feet. Right? Unbelievable. Unbelievable. I mean, I thought, how about like going through the commentator's desk? Yeah. And then still finding a way to kick out. And I love the way Barrett throughout the match was pointing out, like, keep in mind, these aren't two.

5:18It's not just two of the best luchadors of their generation fighting for the chance to wrestle for the top title in the industry in Mexico City. they also happen to be brothers which makes it so special so much more personal and you know a lot of times they say hey the the refs are gonna let the boys play tonight you know nobody's gonna be blowing the whistles and i think in a situation like this it's like you're my brother i'm gonna do things to you that nobody else can do because i know you're gonna do them back yes yes yeah absolutely it's almost like for like for like normal folks who don't know how to do all this stuff when you get into a fight with your sibling you'll say things to each other that if anybody else said that those things it would be relationship over forever forever but with your sibling it's like that was just it was a rough weekend by monday we're good yeah i think that that's a great point that you make that that's the same thing with penta and ray phoenix and also there's this thing of this expectation.

6:24Both of those guys want to be the best and they know better than anybody else that their brother wants to be the best. And I think that when you have that desire to be the best, you want somebody across the ring from you that's going to bring out the best in you. It's hard to be the best against somebody who's only going half speed. When you have two guys, they're absolutely fighting for ultimate supremacy of a family of a of a company of an industry that's when when those two guys have the exact same goal and they know each other so well that's when you're going to get them at their best yeah and then take it a step deeper right let's call a spade a spade while ray phoenix has been so impressive over the last month and on triple a and on nxt and in this tournament penta he's been part of the conversation for a while now yes and And that's Ray Phoenix's brother.

7:14While I'm sure there's a huge part of Ray Phoenix that is so excited for his brother, he's probably thinking often, what about me? I knew you would think that because that's you. I mean, if you think that about friends, I can only imagine how you feel about siblings. That's that toxic Megan Moran coming out again. I like that. I like that. You were waiting for that. You said when they shook hands at the beginning, when they embraced at the beginning, you were like, okay, let's go. Enough, enough. Well, Ray Phoenix has to remind him. Enough, let's go. I know you better than anybody else. I've seen you at your worst.

7:45Right. Okay. Okay, dude. You want to be the guy that fights Roman Reigns? Prove it. Should you be the guy? Prove it. I'm going to make you prove it. And it's true. It's true. You will root for your sibling unless they're against you. That's right. At that point, it's like, no, no, no. You're going to have to work twice as hard to get past this. And you could, I mean, you could hear the audience. And I love watching a match where you can hear the reaction kind of elevate and elevate and elevate and elevate as it goes to the point where it's like, one, two, oh, ah, you know, just, and, and, and also realizing that moment where it's, where you hit that last move and you, and everybody kind of goes, yep, it's over.

8:29Yeah. One, two, three. You know when it's great heading into the match? I think myself and a lot of other people thought, I'm very much looking forward to this, but Penta's probably going to walk away and face Roman Reigns throughout the match, the build for Rey Fenix. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You were like, I might be wrong about this. I might be wrong about this, and I'm okay with that. Yes. I am okay with that because Rey Fenix is unbelievable, and now I want to see Rey Fenix against Roman Reigns. I started to come up with that, and I was talking about it on the podcast. I was talking about it on WWE radio.

9:00I started to realize as the tournament was going on and simultaneously with the tournament, when, like you said, Ray Phoenix was popping up in NXT, when the AAA Cruiserweight Championship is something that Ricky Saints on SmackDown is going after, I started going like, wait a second. There is real momentum building behind this Ray Phoenix. And I started to picture in my head, as cool as it would be to see Penta versus Roman Reigns, what would Ray Phoenix versus Roman Reigns look like? We may have to wait on that, though, because Penta versus Roman Reigns is the match that we're getting. And it really is this, like, unbelievable, cool moment.

9:41I think, you know, the second week of Monday Night Raw in 2025 when Penta debuted against Chad Gable, I think that we knew there was a high ceiling on this Penta, but I don't know that we could have predicted. Roman Reigns' first title defense on Raw of, I want to say, this generation of Roman. Yeah, because he, I mean, he had both championships, but he, I mean, he was at SmackDown Superstar for a while, and then he held both of the titles, and he showed up everywhere. Yeah, but he wasn't defending the title on Raw. No. Right. So, like, I mean, he doesn't, I mean, like Roman said, and he made a point tonight to point out, tonight should be about this tournament.

10:22I mean, I think it's been really interesting to hear Roman Reigns point out specifically because Roman Reigns will tell you whether you deserve a match or not. When Seth Rollins approached Roman Reigns, the first question Roman Reigns had was, what have you done? What makes you think that you deserve a match? And then Seth was able to argue the case. He was able to get the match. But Roman said, no, you have to earn this thing. He's conducting himself completely differently. CM Punk's on SmackDown and he's like, I'm ready to be a fighting champion. That's why there's nine number one contenders.

10:50You know, whereas on Raw, Roman's like I'm not fighting any of you guys He's like please submit your application and we'll let you know Yeah we're very discerning here We're very discerning You know where to apply If you're worthy we'll have somebody call you Someone in HR Maybe Jimmy Uso calls you You may get a call You might not get a call Don't call us though Don't check in on it We know who applied That's what Belt Boy's doing He's looking over the applications He's reading every single one of them And Roman's like no Thank you Belt Boy No, no. Yeah, I mean, Roman views the Roman Reigns match as a prize in and of itself.

11:29And it's hard to deny that it is a prize in and of itself. And so, I mean, that's why he's sitting there going like, you know, LA night. You can't just sit here and whine and complain and get a match. We're not doing that anymore. Right. But he did say that these guys from Raw, SmackDown, and AAA, these luchadors, are earning it. They're going out there. They're fighting a tournament. They're winning it. and he said whoever wins that match is going to earn it. And you know that when he came out and he looked at Penta, he was looking at Penta as somebody that has earned this opportunity, that has earned the shot to go to Mexico City in a moment that is going to be absolutely historic and face Roman Reigns for that championship.

12:12You know, and you know that because the feelings that we have had in every Roman Reigns title match since he won the thing at WrestleMania and including that WrestleMania match, quite frankly. But like realizing how special it's in what? Two weeks in Mexico City. First time in Mexico City in 15 years. Yeah, 15 years. And Penta is stepping up. You know, I mean, you can go back to Unreal if you want. When Paul Heyman talked about you got something here with this guy, Penta. Something with this Penta. There's something with Penta. And I think we've all felt that ever since he made his debut. Of course, of course.

12:47But what does that feel like? When you're sharing the ring with the OTC, I mean, I've got to tell you, when Roman put his finger up and Penta raised his hand and then brought it down for the zero, miedo, and everybody was with him for it. They were like, yeah, this is something really, really unique, really, really special. And I think it's going to give us a side of Roman Reigns that we haven't seen before. I mean, how many people are Roman protecting himself from a Mexican destroyer? We've never seen that. We don't see that. You know what I'm saying? Yes, this will be completely new and completely unique to anything that we've seen from Roman Reigns.

13:31Roman Reigns is defending the WWE Championship against one of the best luchadors in existence in Mexico City. Roman Reigns is notorious. If you look at the CM Punk match, if you look at both of the Jacob matches, if you look at the Seth Rollins match, Roman Reigns, and if you go back before this year and look at all these, like, OTC matches, this version of Roman Reigns controls the pace of the match. He tells the story. He wrestles his style. And even if somebody is trying to change that up, he stops it from happening, changes the pace, brings the timing back to him, and he's the one who's in control of this thing.

14:10that's not going to work against Penta not in Mexico City it's not no Penta is going to be Roman Reigns is going to have to change the way he does things which is a situation that we just don't see Roman in Roman doesn't change the way he does things because the way that he does things works I mean I've interviewed him about this before I was like I want to say a year and a half ago the way he was talking about his systems that he has he was talking like a high level executive like a CEO of a business that was like no there are systems in place here that make it so that if I pull this trigger then this happens which leads to that which leads to that like everything is very well planned and plotted except when you get in there with Penta that's not going to fly and Penta by the way I mean you talk about a guy you know everybody has their story of trying to get to the big match everybody has their story of trying to get to the World Heavyweight Championship.

15:10And LA Knight has his version of it and Seth Rollins has his version of it. But the reality is that like, let's not pretend that Penta is born and bred WWE. Go back a year and a half ago to the story of Penta even getting to the WWE. Go back to Penta showing up on Monday Night Raw for the first time. Remember that promo that he cut with his daughter in the front row? Of course. Like that moment, just being on Raw is like, we made it. we've wrestled in every company you can think of we made it here can you believe this and not as like okay you're a wrestler we'll repackage you this we'll call you that penta creating this thing under a gimmick that i believe in mexico at one point they said was a cursed gimmick i was gonna say to take it a step further you go back to the history of pentagon yeah and then going forward and going forward and go to, you know, Lucha Underground, wherever you, and look at what this guy has done, proving himself every single step of the way and then building these expectations.

16:11I mean, he was at TNA, building these expectations and then defying them, building, defying, building, defying to the point that he gets to WWE and people are like, oh my God, he's here. Just the fact that he's here. He's put in all the time in the world. And silently, he doesn't talk about it. he doesn't sit there and say like well I deserve this I deserve that it's the opposite he doesn't tell you what he deserves he goes out and he puts the work in and he shows you the work tells the story it's exactly what Roman Reigns is talking about it's the opposite of hey I'm gonna speak up and say I'm not getting my just do no I'm going back to work gonna keep working I'm putting my my skeleton masked head down and I'm going back to work because I'm penta and I mean and and and again the work speaks for itself there's no and and then you end up in this position where there's no question as to how Penta got into this position there's no question as to why Penta would be the one to win this tournament and there's no question when you get to Mexico City in two weeks it's there's going to be nothing that feels anything but right when those two get in the ring can you imagine historic Monday Night Raw 15 years since they've been in Mexico City the first time this era that Roman's defending the title on Monday Night Raw.

17:31It's the first time, I believe, in the 2020s. It would be the perfect time for Penta to become the World Heavyweight Champion. See, now you got the fever. Now you got the fury. I mean, can you imagine, you, Sam Roberts, the biggest D1 Glazer that anybody will find for the bloodline. If Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer. I'm an honorary. You're an honorary what? Who's? Jacob said so. He did say that. Here on the now. And listen, after tonight, I'm not going to argue that today. No, no, no. Maybe next week. But after what I saw from Jacob today, I'm going to sit this one out. Yeah, probably smart.

18:07Probably smart. But even you, the honorary use would love to see Penta hit the Mexican destroyer on Roman reigns. One, two, three. I mean, look. the Mexican destroyer on Roman Reigns you know how much I love these moments and by the way Roman's got a lot of haters out there Roman's got a lot of people that think they have figured out Roman Reigns Roman's got a lot of people that think that he takes the easy way out Roman's got a lot of people that think he's not putting the work in Roman's got a lot of people you know LA Knight likes to go on TV and talk about like oh I thought you had better material than that by the way you didn't show up last week another shot at Roman Reigns not showing up and using lines from three years ago Roman Roman has a lot of people that think he doesn't put this work in but what's it going to look like when Roman's in there with Penta I think Roman also is going to show a lot of people what he's actually capable of Roman Roman isn't the type of wrestler that goes in and goes like okay well since I have a match I'm going to show you everything that I can do in the words of LA Knight na na Roman goes in and does what the match what the story requires yes and so what he adapts his game plan so what's required in Mexico City against Penta everything and it's all different gotta use them all I'm very very excited I'm very very excited I mean by the way by the way speaking of something I'm excited about real quick before we get into everything else that was going on with the bloodline I'm very excited about the new episode of A Shot of Brandy.

19:49I don't know if you've heard about this, but I would recommend you checking out, especially if you're watching us on YouTube. Wait till the end of this episode. And if you're not, go to YouTube anyway. Check out A Shot of Brandy. It's presented by Minute Maid. Brandy Rhodes with guest Carmelo Hayes. It is out now. It is on YouTube. It is an incredible, incredible episode of A Shot of Brandy. Check it out as soon as you get the chance. Hopefully, right after this show. because we've got to talk about everything that went down with the bloodline yes the way Monday Night Raw started I love I love chaos in the parking lot I love a show that starts with chaos I don't know like that starts with weird energy yeah I mean it brought me back and it wasn't that long ago I think I texted you about it I was watching USA Network early on a Friday and there was like a cut-in break and it was like stuff is going down on Smackdown and I was like Sam It's a brawl and like nothing gets the juices flowing quite like a backstage or a parking lot brawl.

20:53Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Cars pull up and it's just total. I mean, it was it was an assault. And it doesn't, especially when it doesn't look like wrestling. No, you know, there's nothing an assault. There's nothing wrestling about it. So the show starts without the mud and Royce Keys pulling up behind the Usos. and the Usos getting out of the car while out the mud and Royce Keys get out of this SUV behind them and immediately start to use your word, Megan, assaulting not only the Usos, but anybody that tries to get in their way. You got Royce Keys running around, hitting people with a lead pipe, breaking windshields, making me wonder if he's done that before, by the way.

21:35I'm not here to ask a ton of questions, okay? He looked experienced. Okay, but good. But I'm not an op, okay? I'm not a narc, okay? I don't know anything about that. I'm just saying it would probably look more awkward and inexperienced if I did it, you know? Yeah. Like, I'd be really scared that I hit the windshield with the lead pipe and it would bounce back and hit me and the windshield would be fine. It would be a bad scene. Royce, different deal. I don't think people are nearly as intimidated by you as they are, Royce. We haven't seen me in a tank top. Like, you both walk into a room and it's like distinct difference.

22:10Yeah, well, maybe, but still. I mean, it's a different, yeah, I mean, but there's just different levels. If you walked in carrying a lead pipe, I'd go, that's probably fine. You're just probably here to fix the pipes. It's all right. Royce Keys walks in with a lead pipe. Oh, geez. Oh, geez. So they beat up the Usos. They beat them bloody. Absolutely bloody. Jay. Jay, I didn't even know how bloody. His face was all blurred out. I saw it dripping down on the floor. It was nuts, dude. It was nuts to the point where they get taken to a local medical facility. Jacob Fatu shows up to try to like, you know, get his hands on Royce Keys and out the mud, but they're out.

22:47They leave immediately. Okay, they are out the door. And this was a different Jacob. I mean, this is a very different Royce Keys, first of all. Yes, without question. And I think Jacob, and Jacob made it clear later in the night that he's aware that this is a very different Royce Keys. But this is something that I was talking about. You know, I noticed this after I was really thinking about Royce Keys and Out the Mud showing up last week and the assault at the end of the show last week is that like, I feel like in the WWE, we have learned a lot about where Royce Keys came from in the context of how much he's overcome.

23:26Yeah. And there's a relatableness and there's a rah-rah, let's root for this guy. Yes. But what we haven't seen is what overcoming that does to a person and what is inside. what is what what is what is the violence that is inside that human being from where he comes from what is the negative side of all of that and i think forever and i think that that level of aggression is what we're seeing now and i think that's what jacob was getting to so jacob chases him off and you know wade and and joe tess are like but we got to start this show at some point we got to just start the show okay let's have our women's intercontinental championship match Let's have Sol Ruka trying to get that title back from Raquel Rodriguez now.

24:09And we're getting a championship introduction. Raquel looks like a million bucks. Dude, I was thinking it the whole time. Raquel's up there. She's holding the IC title. And I'm like, dang, look at Raquel. She's an absolute beast killer. And she just looks so right holding that championship. And the second. Yeah, well, Yuri's thinking that. I'm hearing, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It ain't about that Nah And I'm like Was that weird? It's rude What the heck? Right I wanted Raquel to pick Jacob Fatou up and to Hanabomb him Oh yeah, good luck Raquel Good luck Raquel That's Jacob Fatou we're talking about, okay Jacob shows up And he says a bunch of stuff that again I couldn't see Jay's face I couldn't hear everything that Jacob said I don't think it was Family friendly?

24:57No, no, no, no Not around the children No, not for the kids but he sat there and said, you want war? You want war with the bloodline? And again, this is a different Jacob. You know, everybody was sitting there, right? And this is what they've been saying about Jacob. Oh, he just stands back there. He does nothing. I got receipts on everything. Oh, what was Jacob doing? He just let Roman Reigns eat a BFT and smell and spike. But guess what? When you're going to war on his family, you want to go to war with the bloodline? And even I was sitting there going like, ooh, I wonder if Jacob's going to leave this.

25:29I wonder if he's going to join that. No. No. You just stand back there over in the corner and do nothing. That's not tonight. That was last week. That was last week. Nothing was last week. This week it's something. And that was my biggest question heading into Raw tonight, right? Because after what OTM did to the bloodline and Jacob Fatu's absence was notable, right? Yeah, but it was requested. You can keep receipts on it. It was requested. He was following orders. My biggest question was, what is Jacob Fatu's reaction going to be? What is it going to be like when the Usos and Jacob Fatu eventually meet next week on Raw?

26:03And tonight we saw it. Look, it goes back to family, right? I mean, we were talking about it with Penta and Ray Phoenix. Like, ultimately, is everything right with the family? Maybe, maybe not. But the minute somebody starts messing with the family, that's when things change. Yes. And I think that that's what changed on Monday night. And the idea that, you know, there's a guy that Jacob knows, a group that Jacob knows. Very well. And they're sitting there taking liberties with the bloodline. You know, I don't think Jacob's about that. And he says he's not about that. And he talks about them going to war with the bloodline.

26:40And again, it goes to that unpredictability. He tips over the belt holder, messing everything up at ringside. And then he just leaves. They cut his mic out too. Yeah, they did cut his mic out. Dog walk. Well, he was saying a lot of stuff. Dog walks and some other things. He was saying a lot of stuff. and then I mean Raquel actually genius move by Raquel while Saul's like what's going on and Raquel's like I'll tell you what's going on and then she just goes and attacks her I thought that was great I thought that was fabulous Saul's still relatively new to Monday Night Raw Raquel's been around a while she's like look stuff happens at Raw it's chaotic you can't get caught up in it you can't no and that was good that was got a title defense very disciplined focus gotta stay locked in yes very disciplined of Raquel I think I'd be distracted too well you love the bloodline And Jacob's around, you just get all kinds of distracted.

27:26I mean, it's true. It's 100 % accurate, you know? That's why you'll never be a champion. That's why, look, I'd be a terrible women's intercontinental champion for a myriad of reasons. Mainly, I'd be distracted by the bloodline. That's right. That's right. So then Roman shows up, right? And he's saying, where are the twins? And Jacob's there waiting for Roman. He's not in the car with him, but he's waiting for him. And he goes, they're not in the best shape right now. Not good. and Roman says, Royce, and Jacob makes it clear to Roman Reigns. This is where he makes it clear. He says, you don't understand this version of Royce Keys.

28:05I do. I knew this guy, okay? If you all think that I'm a problem, and that's been the narrative behind Jacob from the beginning. If you all think that I'm a problem, nothing compared to this guy. This guy's a problem. And that's when Roman Reigns says, Royce is your problem take care of it I'll take care of all the other all the other problems are mine that means solo that means LA night that means everything else everything else there's a lot going on with the bloodline so then Roman goes to the ring and that's when Roman gets in there and he talks about how this night should be about Phoenix and Penta about them earning it no more bitching and whining to get that title shot.

28:52You know what I mean? You have to go out there and earn it. And what do we hear as he's talking? L-A-N-I-N-E. The most annoying interruption you could have. Did you laugh? I laughed. I mean, it's a funny interruption. It's just so good. Well, and it was perfect because it was right when Roman said, okay, let me talk about it. Right. L-A-N-E-T. Well, that's what he gets. You can't steal his lines. You started stealing L.A. Knight's lines at Phanax Fest and he had to call you out on it. He said stop. Enough. He said stop. And Roman did it. He said, listen, man, I'm going to interrupt you. Plus Roman hit him with a rock.

29:25He said, he said, he said, Solo, I know he reminds you of the rock. But he's not our family. That's right. That's right. Let's make it clear here. Okay. Blood. Bloodline. Anawaii. Fatu. Let's do it. What are we doing here? We're going back to the wild Samoans. We're going back to the high chiefs. What are we doing here? He's not our family. He's not. He's not. Well, LA Knight has something to say about that. That's when LA Knight comes out, accuses Roman Reigns of using old, you know, insults. It's just not, whatever. And then he says OTC stands for One Tremendous Coward. I thought that was good.

30:07I mean, it got a reaction. It got a reaction. It was good. Because I was like, where's he going to go? Okay, all right. That's something. I like it. That's something. It was good. And then, I mean I did like, what did LA Knight say? If you whip this horse, you're going to have to ride the ride I was like, that's actually pretty sick That was pretty sick He used some good ones I know, I feel like I might try to use that in some context You know what I mean? I thought it was pretty cool Maybe later in the show Maybe, maybe, yeah, if you get me upset, I'm going to say it And then But then we see, just as LA Knight's getting into the ring And he throws his mic down Roman's still holding his, but LA Knight's like Like, no, no, no, no, no.

30:43We're going to fight here because you've been ducking me. That's when the screen comes on and Solo is laid out now. And a bunch of other guys that clearly were there as security are also laid out. And I love this, though, because L.A. Knight, who originally, right? L.A. L.A. Knight, who originally looked at Solo Sokoa as someone that he was just going to team with for SummerSlam. One night only. Yep. And then we've watched this relationship evolve. We've watched, dare I say, a friendship form. You don't like that. To the point where last week, before the main event, we got to even see a sensitive side of Solo, which admittedly made me uncomfortable.

31:22But Solo's laid out backstage. LA Knight's in the ring with Roman Reigns. Yeah. I mean, it's a big deal to be in the ring with Roman Reigns. Huge deal. Old LA Knight would have said, I don't care about Solo. I don't care about him. In this LA Knight, he's up the ramp. He's up the ramp to go check on his friend Solo. Yeah, it was hard for you to say it. I know because this is a totally different LA night too I mean I don't want to like call him out you said last week you didn't trust Sola well you got sensitive and it made me feel weird I know you know what that is feelings? yeah it made me feel really weird I didn't like it I was like Sola's getting sensitive this is weird this is warm and nice and then he went back to Sola Dola I said that's my guy yeah I like that yeah but Pew Pew was laid out on the ground all bladed up and at first I was like Like, Jacob standing over Solo, I was like, what'd you do, Jacob?

32:13And I was like, no, no, no. This had to be out the mud. And again, Jacob coming over, and that's what Roman was saying. That ultimately, even though Solo did what he did to Roman, said what he said to Roman, Jacob knows that's family. And it goes back to, like, Jacob's not saying, well, these are the good guys and these are the bad guys. You can't beat up the good guys. You can only beat up the bad guys. He's like, no, you need to leave my family alone. Solo's part of my family. We don't get along right now, but he's looking for Royce Keys. And also, the O-T-C. Roman. He said Royce Keeves was his problem.

32:49And I take orders from Roman Reigns. A hundred percent. Not from Jay's punk ass, but from Roman Reigns, yes. He might have to take him from Jay's punk ass because the captain. Well, he's trying to help Jay right now. He's captain, you know. So LA Knight's there, and he starts to get into it with Jacob. Because he's like, what are you doing here, blah, blah, blah. And then, I mean, my favorite part of it, like, he's saying, Jacob, you need to get out of there. He's checking on his friend, Solon. What does he get for checking on his friend? Just completely out of the blue. Just a Superman punch.

33:16Superman punch right from Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns. I never, Roman Reigns just doling out Superman punches backstage. Well, I didn't expect Roman to make his way back up the ramp, you know? No, I mean - Roman's time is very valuable. Yes. What'd you think he was going to leave out the front door? I mean, he's in the ring conducting business. L.A. Knight takes off up the ramp. Roman Reigns is like, well, that's L.A. Knight's problem. I'm here. I got to finish my business. Taking care of business. And so Roman coming back and going after LA Knight. But you have to remember a couple weeks ago, he did eat the BFT from LA Knight.

33:47I know. He's not going to let that stand. No. I also love the idea of Roman doing Superman punches in street fights. Just like showing up backstage and just like, you know, on a loading dock. I just do Superman punches. I mean, look, if I could do a Superman punch that good, I would do them everywhere. Yeah. If I'm ever in a street fight, I'm going for the Superman punch. You got to. Because they're going to be like, wait, what do you do? Oh. You know? And it worked. You should start teaching that in self-defense. 100 % Superman punch. Yeah, no one will see it coming. What are you doing? And Allie Knight got laid out.

34:15Turns around going, what has happened? Boom. Before you even realize what's happening, there's two hits. One is the Superman punch hitting your chin. The other is you hitting the floor. That's it. Done. That's it. Over. And then Roman tells Jacob, you need to go take care of Royce Keys. And that's all we see from, you know, Royce Keys and OTM are certainly on the run right now. Now, OTM, hell of an introduction onto the main roster, by the way. It's crazy. Now, with Jacob being assigned a very specific task by Roman Reigns, taking orders, are there any of you that feels a bit of apprehension with Jacob?

34:52This feels to me like it's a do-or-die thing for Jacob because he hasn't been able to deliver to Roman Reigns based on the orders. It is do-or-die, but if there's anything that you could clearly see based on tonight and, I mean, Jacob interrupting the match, cutting the promo that he cut, having his mic turned off, regardless of what Michael Cole said after Jacob, you know that bothered me. I knew you were going to come back to this. Regardless of what Michael Cole said after Jacob lost that match, that dog was off the leash tonight. He's not neutered? No, that dog was off the leash. And I feel, to me, I don't feel apprehensive about the fact that this responsibility is on Jacob's shoulders.

35:36I love that this responsibility is on Jacob's shoulders because to me, I think that that means that just gives Jacob a reason. Give me a reason. I'm letting you off the leash now. Go get it. When you let the dog off the leash, attack. And that dog, you can see it. When the dog's off the leash, it's been growling. It's been growling. Oh, just undid the clip. Go. Those dogs get so happy. I get to do what I'm born to do, what I'm bred to do, what my instinct is telling me to do, tear him limb from limb, and I'll start with the jugular. And I gotta be honest, for me, I think that Jacob Fatu is the only one capable in the WWE right now of handling this version of Royce Keys.

36:16But here's the thing, it's not just Royce Keys. It's OTM. Bronco, Nima, and Lucia Price are right there with him, and like, dude, if you're not familiar with the game on these guys, like, they are, first of all, they're like massive. Yeah. They're giant dudes. I think it was like three years ago. You and I were doing an NXT countdown. And we had a couple minutes left in the show. And I asked you about the tag team division. And you went for two and a half minutes? Yeah. About OTM? I mean, it was literally like we're doing an NXT pre-show. And you set me up to go like, okay, we got like two minutes.

36:48Just talk about whatever. Like you set me up with a question to talk about whatever. And I was like, I'm using my time to talk about OTM. You did. Until we went off the air. Yeah. We went off the air with you shouting about OTM. I love these guys. I'm not wrong. People think I'm joking around. Like, sometimes it takes a little time. I'm not wrong. And this was back in the day when Jada Parker was part of OTM. I know. Oh, gee. And you weren't wrong on any of them, by the way. And by the way, Jada Parker walks into Heat Wave, submission match with Natty of all people. What does she do? She's successful, too.

37:19Jada Parker's the next one. Everybody knows this. Let them know. Everybody knows this. I'm not wrong. wrong so this might say all the time i'm not wrong yes you are so but yeah i mean i mean to me you got a young tag team that's hungry and ready to tear people up and they're being given permission to do that by somebody like royce keys jacob maybe can go after royce keys but not the three of them jacob needs to get on the same page with the usos if this is going to work at all You're right. It has to be Jacob. And that's, yes, they're family, but things are tense right now. Incredibly. Who's the leader?

38:02Tell me who the leader is. I don't know. That's what I'm saying. I don't know. The Usos are captains. The Usos are made men. Okay, who's the leader with Royce Keys and OTM? It's Royce Keys. Who's the leader with Jacob Fatu and the Usos? Don't know. So then, according to Jacob, it's not Jay's punk ass. He's not going to take orders from his punk ass. No. And if he were, he'd find those orders to be ass. that's right ass like like i mean i mean that has to get settled and then you have to get all on the same page and then also like how do you contain this this isn't a wrestling match anymore no you know what i'm saying now and we're taking it to the parking lot no parking garage the medical facilities are breaking windshields listen the parking garage thing did get me so excited and when i pulled in today i pulled in next to you and i was like little bro let's go i forgot my lead pipe at home though good for you lucky day for you just had to deal with a little bear spray and then i was good to go listen it's last week of summer for a lot of these young uh wwe universe you can members you can help them you can help them keep their phone or electronic devices charged on their way back to school with superstar power.

39:14How about this? Roman Reigns three-in-one charging station. I don't know why they think that Roman Reigns three-in-one charging station is just for kids either. That's good for an adult man on his bedside table. I'm not going to say anyone in particular, but maybe even somebody who hosts podcasts and stuff like that. Just a regular, cool, super cool adult man, Roman Reigns 3-in-1 charging station on their bedside table. That's regular too. So you could get this for a kid or an adult. Or let the good times keep rolling while they plot their next move with this money-in-the-bank electronic case.

39:50Help your kiddo or adult man put their back-to-school needs down for the count with everything from apparel to electronics and more at WWE Shop and Fanatics. Oh, and by the way, you know, you can see, you feel the crisp in the air? Mm, I did this one. Just starting, okay? Don't let Halloween sneak up on you. Help your youngsters embody the squared circle's ultimate authority figure. Unleash their inner savage and howl at the moon like the tribal wolf or don the cape of Danhausen and curse anyone who dares to trick instead of treat. Oh, there's so much you could do. Look at that Jacob Fatou mask, the Danhausen outfit.

40:32Find everything you need to create the perfect superstar-inspired costume for spooky season this Halloween. All these items and more are available at WWE Shop and Fanatics. You see, that one young man is going as a referee. As Danilo. Right, in case you want to go as somebody who just has no idea how to get their job done. You can go as a WWE official now for Halloween. The officials were right today in the Ethan Page match. Yes, that's true. Oh, yeah, they were on the ball. Come on. I think it's comeback season for these officials. So he's turning it around. Not for Adam Pearce. Adam Pearce is getting all emotional.

41:10Old bald Adam Pearce is out there getting, I can say it. I can say it. I was going to say, I like how you throw a bald shot at him. No, it's not a shot. I can say it. Adam Pearce is getting all emotional. Going like, you know what? Judgment Day, you're going to have to wrestle again. So Dominic Mysterio is out there. You must love this version of Javon Evans because he's so aggressive now. I love Javon Evans. He's getting very upset. He's getting very angry. Yes. And I think that that's good. You're like throwing Judgment Day hate at me, and I'm literally wearing a Raquel Rodriguez t-shirt. She's in the Judgment Day.

41:41Yeah, but you don't like Dominic Mysterio. I mean. Because he won't give you the time of day, probably. He gives you a lot of time, though. Because he rules. It's tough because I'm always by you, and then you just throw me under the bus all the time. Like, even, like, Dom and I never even had a chance to be friends. We just throw me under the bus. He doesn't want to be friends with you. No, he doesn't. He doesn't. What are you going to talk to him about running? He's bored by that. He doesn't think that's cool. And I'm not. And it's not cool. It's not. You have a lot to talk about. Nuggets. Yeah, we have all the similar interests.

42:10One time I had him on a live podcast with me in a comedy club. And you know what he brought out from back? Nuggets? Capri Sun. See, you guys have the same diet. Capri? It's you, Dominic Mysterio, and everybody else in third grade. Yeah, all the cool dudes. Just fun people. Just people who like to have a good time. Anyway, you can throw all the hate around you want. Adam Pierce was trying that tonight. I went to a steakhouse with you and you ordered chicken nuggets. It's probably tenders. It's probably not, you know, and I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Look, it could have been a steakhouse.

42:40It could have been a sushi restaurant. It could have, I mean, whatever. I go, why don't you send the kids menu over here? That's where you hide all the good stuff anyway. You start complaining that the kids menu is ageist. I go, I go, I go, why don't you give me the secret menu? And they go, the secret menu? I go, it's the kids menu. I call it the VIP menu. So, J.D. McDonough gets involved. Emotions are at an all-time high. He gets involved. There's a DQ finish in the singles match, which Dominic would have won, by the way, I believe. Dominic would have beaten Javon Evans tonight. But that's obvious to everybody.

43:16I don't know about that. But he unfortunately loses by disqualification. Now, J.D. McDonough, Dominic Mysterio attacking Javon Evans. Here comes, of all people, Joe Hendry. out to save Javon Evans. And for what Adam Pierce just, I mean, he was on one tonight. He just decides, I'm so sick of this. I'm sick of it. It's like when you realize your parents are actually mad at you. Like, oh, geez, we went too far. They're mad for real. They're not just yelling at me because I did something wrong. Like, they're upset. They snapped. Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry. Why are you doing this again? I don't know.

43:51I don't know. I don't know. Sorry. He says, I'm tired of all this. And he makes a tag team match right there. Javon Evans and Joe Hendry versus Dominic Mysterio and J.D. McDonough and guess what? McDonough puts that giant head to good use He always does Headbutts Joe Hendry Boom! Frog splash, Dominic Mysterio like a work of art and your AAA mega champion who probably after TripleMania will still be AAA mega champion pins J.D. McDonough One, two, three. You think he's going to beat Grande? For sure. And boom, there you go. The Judgment Day wins. Great Raw for the Judgment Day, by the way. It was a good Raw for the Judgment Day.

44:35I will give that to you. Retaining titles. Yeah, and they seemed happy about it in the clubhouse. And I have to say, I thought it was really nice of Roxanne to offer to be by Liv Morgan's side. There, I said something great about the Judgment Day. Are you happy? Finally. It was very nice. I wasn't suspicious of it at all. And then how about Becky Lynch turning around and trying to weasel her way into a number one contender? Weasel? Yeah. Weasel. Stephanie Vaquer saw right through her. No, she didn't. Stephanie Vaquer owes her one. She actually owes her two. You can't just do stuff for people and say, now you owe me.

45:05Now you owe. It's like, this is not how contracts work. She would have been totally screwed. She would have lost. She would have never got a championship opportunity. Do we live in the world, in hypothetical world? If Becky didn't come out, there is 0 % chance that Stephanie Vaquer would have won that match. and if dogs had wings, it'd be even more important to keep my dog on a leash, but they don't, so it's okay. But I, okay, so here's one thing. I think that Stephanie winning that match and taking out three people opened Becky Lynch's eyes and earned Becky Lynch's respect because we heard that from Becky tonight.

45:38Becky was like, you know, I would rather beat you for the championship than beat Liv Morgan, and if I was going to help somebody. She doesn't want to deal with the whole judgment day. No, she doesn't, and she also doesn't respect Liv Morgan, but Liv Morgan doesn't care. Liv Mornin's not here to earn your respect. She doesn't care. Yeah, she's - But Becky doesn't respect her. She's just here to be the longest reigning champion of all time. That's true. But - That's true. Stephanie earns Becky's respect by the way she handles herself with the judgment day. Okay. So Becky helps her out. Yeah, but I mean you could be like - And then a week later - Right.

46:14Stephanie's like, I don't need you. She did need her. She did need her. She's lying. It's always something. No, it's not always something. It's not always something. It's always like, yeah, I helped you out. Now you owe me. It's like, well, then don't help me. I'm not trying to live in debt. If she didn't help her, then she wouldn't have a championship opportunity. It's like the mafia. It's not the mafia. That's what it's like. You know what the mafia is like? The bloodline. Come on. What are we talking about? That's not true. Yes, it is. That's more of a mafia than Becky Lynch by herself. That's a family business.

46:41You and Kathy Kelly are starting to spread rumors. Kathy was trying to spread rumors too backstage. Did you hear that? Becky called her out on it. She's like, Kathy, you're spreading rumors. Kathy was just being unbiased as a journalist as she always is. You and her spreading rumors about Becky Lynch. Kathy did a great job. I thought she did a great job with Paul Heyman too. Yeah. I thought she did great, but listen, listen, and she's been great with Blake Monroe. I did a whole segment about that on your show. Not Megan Wrestling Live. That's not what the name of the show is. Well, last week it was.

47:08Last week it was. The number one, that's not the name of the show. And number two, that's what the program director requested. Megan, not Megan. Not Megan. so there you go wow wow no but I mean I think Stephanie Vicaria has been like why does everything have a cost sometimes people would just come out and help because they respect somebody because they do the right thing but Stephanie Vicaria is saying like the only reason you helped is because you're trying to like weasel your way into a championship match Becky Lynch can decide what she wants a championship match at any time she can decide at any moment hey Raquel I'm done with that one.

47:45She said I'm done with that one. I already made history with that one. I'm moving on to that one. And with everything that Becky's accomplished, she deserves to be in the title picture. She just gets championship matches whenever she wants. Maybe not the match, but she deserves to be in the title picture. There's no weaseling your way in when you're Becky Lynch. She said she wants the first shot. You belong there. You own property in the championship picture. She said she wants the first shot. Well, she's not getting the first shot. Stephanie is getting the first shot. No, no, at Stephanie. Yeah, she should get it.

48:12and Stephanie should be honored that Becky Lynch. Honored. Yes. What if Stephanie Vicarra is sitting there going like, you know what I've done the last 15 years? You know how hard I've worked to get here? Sorry, Sports Illustrated didn't write about it. Sorry, the Bleacher Report didn't write about it. You know, that's a little, it's a little like to be like, oh, you should be honored by me. She should be honored. Just like everybody, oh, the Roman Reigns match, submit your application. That's what it should be like with Becky Lynch. submit your application submit your application submit it and I'll be the belt girl checking it out I'm just saying I'm applying right now Rue's gonna have to get involved in the women's division before there's a Becky Lynch bloodline now if that happens then we can have another conversation I'm not saying it's impossible but we're not there yet submit your application baby Stephanie should be honored don't be using the OTC's name in vain don't do that but what you should do is check out Topps Universe.

50:36It's one of the most famous songs of all ever. Yeah, I did see some comments. Like, Megan's an idiot. She didn't know the song. Or like, he's ripping off Eminem. I go, yeah, that's the point. Our references work. Do we not have friends? Like, this is, what? Anyway. I'm glad that you got a kick out of the... It was so funny. I was like, what are we talking about? I was like, huh? I was like, I know my hair is blonde, but I've heard the song before. Come on. I'm not that dumb. At no point did I go like, God, her. She thinks I'm a professional rapper And at no point was like wow what bar How did you just come up with that At no point I know they really do They really take your blondness To the next level Well you don't really help me you just bury me the whole show I know Sometimes I feel like you do it to yourself But Paul Heyman Paul Heyman had a lot to say Paul Heyman brought up something so great Big surprise on Monday Night Raw.

51:35You know, Kathy Kelly's getting the scoop. Old Scoops Kelly is out there getting the scoop from Paul Heyman. And he's saying, look, I don't, when it comes, you know, Sunday night's main event is coming up on Sunday. That's right. From Atlanta, Georgia. It is a huge, huge card. Crazy card. That is built up right under us. You know, I mean, I mean, Cody and Randy, I mean, everything going on. But one of the big, big matches is billed as being to determine who the future of the WWE is. Mm-hmm. Braun Breaker versus Obafemi. And this is something that has gotten very, very real. The idea that Braun Breaker went away with an injury.

52:14And we hear this all the time, that wrestlers are afraid when they have an injury that they're going to leave and somebody is going to take their spot. Not just any spot, their spot. Mm-hmm. It's exactly what happened to Braun Breaker. Now, that's not to say Obafemi wouldn't have done it regardless. Of course. But that's just, that's what happened. Braun Breaker was away with an injury, and while he was away, Obafemi went on a tidal wave of momentum. The conversation we were all having around Braun Breaker before he went away was that he's the future. Yeah. And Obafemi arrives, we're all blown away, and we start having that conversation, but about Obafemi.

52:55Yes, and Obafemi's the one. He's fighting Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Manu's retiring Brock Lesnar inside of a Hell in a Summer Slam. I mean, it is what it is. But Paul Heyman brought up this great point and leave it. This is why the guy's a genius because he's right. The conversation. Paul shifted the conversation. It became less about who wins and it's about who loses. Yes, because who wins is. It doesn't necessarily change anything. Their momentum continues. They both feel like they're the future. Brombreaker is walking in going I'm the future I'm going to prove that You're not winning that you're proving it But the fact is that whoever loses That is the narrative that changes It's the narrative that changes amongst us And it's the narrative that changes for themselves What goes on in their brain When they go I can't walk around saying this And I can't act like if it's not mine If that title is not mine I can't act like it's anybody's fault but mine this person beat me for it and i think that that that is the real conversation going into saturday sunday night's main event is on monday the 7th of september what is either obafemi or braun breaker saying based on the fact that one of them did not win that match because one of them is not going to win and how do you recover from that how do you get in front of the wwe universe The public perception.

54:28The mindset, right? I mean, and Paul brought up the timing of it, right? We're headed right into the fall, which leads right into the Royal Rumble, which leads right into WrestleMania. There couldn't be a worse time for anyone to be in this situation. It's September. That means we start talking what's next. Literally next week, we have Money in the Bank qualifiers. Right after Money in the Bank, a month after Money in the Bank, six weeks, whatever it is, war games. Right after war games, we're already, it's past Thanksgiving now. Now it's the holidays. We're talking about the show in Perth. Now it's Wrestlepalooza in December.

55:01Now it's Royal Rumble. Now it's WrestleMania. And it goes that quickly. But I think even more so, a week from now, one of those two, Obafemi and Braun Breaker, has to stand in front of the audience and has to justify the fact that the other guy's the future. That's right. Has to justify the fact that they might have lost, but they're still worth paying attention to, that it is still their game. I was once the future, and now I'm no longer the future, right? I mean, that's tough. That's such a difficult spot to be in. Yes, and how do you move on from that? And, you know, for someone like Braun Breaker, he's obviously watched Obafemi's rise unfold when there was nothing he could do about it because he was injured.

55:49He's at home injured, and he's watching this unfold in front of his eyes. and if he has to face the reality that this all came true after Sunday, how do you move forward? And listen, fans think Obafemi's winning this match. Of course they do. But I got to tell you, between getting backed into a corner and being doubted and the fact that Braun Breaker doesn't trust Paul Heyman. Well, we're not sure though. Or was this all part of Paul Heyman's plan? You haven't stopped thinking about that? No, I haven't. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, Paul had a strong poker face tonight. He talked about how much he respects Obafemi and how even that might sound controversial from the circles that he runs in.

56:37It's not. He respects him. And then he talked about Braun Breaker. He talked about how he's the hardest working, hardest hitting athlete in all of WWE. And if you show up at the gym at 6 a.m., Braun Breaker's already there at 5. If you leave the gym at 10 o 'clock at night, Ron Barker's there till midnight. I'm sending a text at lunchtime saying, sorry, I lost the address. You know, we're just built different. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. And Paul even talked about both of these men in a way that I really couldn't tell whose side Paul Heyman's on. And that's a huge element of this story. Yeah, because usually he goes in going like, let me sell you on my guy.

57:12But this time he's like, no, let me sell you on how important this is. This matches. And who knows? Like, is Paul Heyman setting us up because he knows where it's going? or is Paul Heyman just going to figure it out when he finds out who wins this thing? Is that all part of the plan all along? Yeah, I don't know. It's hard to say, but listen, we've got so much coming up. So on Sunday, we've got Sunday night's main event, which is just a stack, stack card. A week from now, we've got a Monday night Raw where we've got Liv Morgan versus Stephanie Vaqueror. Huge. And the Money in the Bank qualifiers start, which is big.

57:49Yeah. Two weeks from now, we've got Raw in Mexico City. Historic. Where we're getting Roman Reigns versus Penta. And we found out we're getting Chad Gable versus Dragon Lee for the Intercontinental Championship. It is a massive, massive time. We will be back on Monday of next week. Monday night. Tuesday, if you're an early riser. To recap everything that has gone down. Make sure you're subscribed across all audio platforms listening on WWE Radio and Sirius XM and liking and commenting on YouTube. We'll see you next week, everybody. Thank you.
