1:16hello and welcome to almost 30 podcast hello everybody welcome to the show it's lindsey and krista you're in for a ride we're here with a solo episode for you a solo episode you just said i might be married in ibiza and marielle that used to work for us that now works for me had a dream that I was, I had a home in Ibiza. Oh, really? I believe, yeah. She's like, you're doing retreats at home in Ibiza. That sounds true. Yeah. I don't know about buying in Europe. That, you know, it's funny. It's like, I feel like I'm very expansive with my mindset. I'm like, oh, anything is possible. But there's a lot of limits I put on myself.
1:50I'm like, I could never buy in Europe. What about that feels out of reach? I feel like it's, this is the belief that I wouldn't even have enough money. If I had enough money, why would I buy in Europe? You know, it's weird. There's a weird part. Because it's like how often would you, you're so far from Europe right now? Yeah, so far. But also too, it's like, why would I put my money in somewhere that I'm not a lot? Isn't that weird? Totally. I don't know. Like, I guess I just don't. I would do an investment property if it returned on the investment. For sure. Like if it was like an Airbnb or something that people used for whatever.
2:26I don't know. Just second home vibes is, unless you're going to it a lot, I'm like, I need to be expansive. Anything is possible. I'm tapping this in. Anything is possible. Anything is possible. Yeah, I think going to it a lot, though, would feel the best. Yeah. As the best case scenario. But I think when you're at a certain level of Yeah, I don't even care. wealth, you're like, it's an investment. Like property is, I think, overall a great investment. Where was I? I was in Park City. And I think 80 % of the homes in Park City are over$10 million. And like, I think people, the average time that they spend in them is one month a year.
3:04Yeah. Wow. Is there something with taxes there? There must be something in Utah tax wise. Interesting. Because it was very, it was like creepy almost. I was on the slopes and you just look down at these mansions and no one's in any of them. Wow. Yeah. It's very interesting. I don't know. There's more affordable to build there, but yeah, there's so much of that, which is the 1%. The 1%. It's so funny because there was this girl on Instagram. She was posting like real, she's like a millionaire. and she's like 26 or something. And she's like, I'm part of the 1%. I was like, sister, sister, sister.
3:36What did you want to say? Because you made a million dollars from your course. Yeah. Does not mean you're part of the 1%, okay? Like you are not a Rothschild. Like what are you, I would just was like, what is this hook? Dude, there's this little baby girl who, I don't know how I followed her on Instagram. It wouldn't have been my choice. You followed a baby girl? Who knows? No, it wasn't a baby girl, but she's, to me, she's a baby girl. I think she's probably 20. let's call it 25. I don't know where she lives, but she wakes up. She wakes up, goes to bed at five, wakes up at midnight and then does work, deep work for two hours, then goes to the gym from like two to three 30 and then does more work.
4:21Like she's like done her day by like 10 a.m. And then what does she do? And then she spends time with her husband and dog. I don't know. It's like, it's just, I said, why are we doing that? Why? You can just shift it all and it'll be fine. I know, honestly. We don't need to be doing. You don't need to do that. Work when it's pitch black out. I don't, I don't get it. I don't know. I definitely think she's working more than most. So maybe it extended maybe to noon that day. And then from noon to five. I could actually fuck with a 5 p.m. bedtime. Something about me is that I could sleep at five. I had my flight back from Paris.
5:00My eight-hour boy, you know me. Slept the whole way. Slept the whole way. Put my face down on my bag and just slept. Oh, my God. How's your spine? Girl, the way that my... Even I was walking the other night in heels in the city, and my ankle just rolled. My ankles, the way that my ankles have stood the test of time and never let me down after being rolled from heels over the years is a gift. Yeah. I don't know how we've like not completely shattered our shoulders, faces from like falling or, you know what I mean? I know. I know. I did break my foot when I was in Europe. I was in Luxembourg and I studying abroad and I broke my foot.
5:38Cobblestone streets. Yep, exactly. And I was like jumping on someone's back and it like broke on the cobblestone street. Yeah. And I was like in this like Luxembourgish hospital and they were like, they're like speaking in French. And then they were like, I was like English. And they're like, it's broken. I was like, I was like, and then it was messed up for years because they don't like do x-rays or they don't like do follow-ups. They didn't do like a boot. Oh, wow. Yeah. It was like, I then had to like get it. It was messed up for years. Holy moly. I know. Wow. And it was really bad. What do they do?
6:11They just look at it. They're like, it's broken. No, they were like after like six, two months, they were like, you're fine. And they didn't even like x-ray it. And you didn't go home to just kind of like give a little charge for like whatever, dude. They're like, leave her over there. Yeah, there's so many times where I'm like, man, my parents just were like, go for it. She'll figure it out. They've never, like what have they cared about? I'm trying to think of if they've ever like cared about something. Like they've never cared about who I dated. They never cared about, they cared about my grades, but like not, I don't know.
6:45They were in their own worlds. They were depressed. They had their own mental struggles, and I was not of their concern. It's usually one or the other. I feel like it's very, maybe we're not common nowadays because we have so much information on, like, our kids' development and how we're a huge part of that. But I feel like you either swung when we were growing up, like, super strict, cared about everything, helicopter parents, to, you know, the other. Yeah. I guess they cared. I don't know. Your parents probably cared more. they cared a lot but I think there were faults you know like to a fault where like you didn't actually let me kind of come to my own conclusions critically think on my own yeah become my own person you know make mistakes I'm still suffering they definitely cared like who I was dating they cared about where I was going you know like that stuff was like very very surveilled I don't know why mine didn't yeah they didn't I was like sneaking out every night like I don't know why I don't know I think they knew but they like didn't it's very interesting but I think you're the type of person that would do whatever I want anyways yeah but also like you're you're not a psychopath like you turned out great you know what I mean honestly we said this at the dinner with my mom where I was like are you surprised that I like turned out actually I always I don't think I perceived myself how other people did though I've always felt like that Like, I was like, oh, man, I was so emotional in high school.
8:18I don't think anyone would say that about me. I think they'd be like, oh, you were like, whatever. Where did your emotions come out? Like, privately or like with other people? Yeah, like in the car listening to Death Cat. Death Cat for Cutie. Yeah, Death Cat for Cutie or like Dashboard Confessional. Wow, yeah. On the way to high school, I'd be like, screaming. And I'd be like, oh, my God, like, your hair is everywhere. I'd be bawling my eyes out. I was like, wow, I've never like, I was so existential. I think that was the time too when a lot of the media programming was around hating the suburbs.
8:49So it was like you felt... Oh, really? Yeah, okay, remind me. Like it was like TRL days. Yeah, oh my God, B. Remember like Eminem, Linkin Park? It was like suburb life. Like suburb life was like so plain and like boring and like picket fences. And everyone was like, yeah, like that's so lame. So I was like, oh my God, everything's the same here. And everything cool was like happening, like a TRL, like where you saw people show up for TRL in the city in Times Square, which was such a moment. Such a moment. That was cool. And everyone would like dress up on the T-Roll. And like people lining up to see like the Today Show concerts when that was cool.
9:22Now it's literally 10 people and they try to make it look like there's actually people there. So real. I was on the Price is Right. I went on Price is Right once. Oh, wow. I wasn't on the show, but I was like right behind the stands at Price is Right, but they didn't pick me. I didn't have an interesting story. Like when they - That's when you make it up. Oh, no, shut up. I should have been like, I'm a veteran. I'm actually, I'm actually, I just got home from, from the surface and I'm, yeah, they like, when they were interviewing me, they're like, what do you do? I'm like, I'm in marketing. They were like, okay, you're next.
9:57Like, it needs to be like, I'm a grandma with like 10 grandkids at home. I'm like something, something special about me. Like I flew in from DeKalb or something like insanely crazy. We're going to get a call from the VA. Okay. So looking back on the year, we're in December. So everybody, let's just take a second to recap and regroup on the fact that we are at the end of 2025. I think what's making me feel a type of way is that I now am at a stage of my life where everything's going by and I'm not really knowing what happened. And like, I feel like when you're younger, you like are very marked about what happened that year.
10:39Right. And I feel like nowadays I'm like, I don't even know what I did. I know. But I also feel like I do so much in a week. That's like, I'm actually doing so much more than I ever have been maybe. Or we did so much more this year that I'm like, I don't even know what to say. Oh, we launched a book this year. Yeah, we launched a book this year. I think it's, I don't know if I've been giving myself enough like of that reflection time, to be honest. Especially as a mom. I don't, I feel like we both, I don't know. Like, are you reflecting? Like, no, you know, it's just like we're, and I don't think it's like bad or good.
11:11I just think it's hard for me to tell you what I did last week. Yeah, I know. But I had a great week. I'm pretty sure there's lots of highs and lows and great, you know, great things. So I don't know what that is. Like, I think I would love to somehow capture some of these things, like whether it's just like quick writing it down or something. Um, but it's really a felt sense. This was a 2025 is a, a nine year. I think it's a completion year. Did that feel true in any sense? Yeah. Um, relationally and relationships, I think it did. What else was complete? I think there's, what happened for me during the eclipse season was like, it really brought up so many aspects of how I've been running business that are so subpar and to other people, they would never say subpar, but to my standards, I'm just like, operationally, I need to be so much tighter.
12:09I need to be so much more using technology, like standardizing systems. So I think it showed me a lot of gaps in places that I'm not at the level I need to be if I want to be the person that I want to be. Sure. Does that make sense? Yeah. So I'm like, oh, I am. If I'm walking in the world, I'm like, I should be bigger. I should be these things. Like I should be whatever. And I'm like, okay, well, look at your business. Like, how are you treating your business like that person? The next level. Yeah. Like, does the person I look up to, what does their business look like? Right. And so I think that for me was very glaring.
12:46I don't even know why I started talking about this. This is me. Yeah, just the completion year. Oh, the completion year. Okay. Yeah. So completion of like the chapter of treating my business like a lifestyle business. I don't think Almost 30, we treated like a lifestyle business. But I think my personal one. and then completion around relationship stuff. And then I think an old identity, but I don't know what the new identity is. You know what I mean? Yeah, completely, completely. What would you say for you? I definitely think the book felt like a mark, you know? Like it felt like a completion of like, real.
13:25It just felt like our work over the last 10 years, like we captured it. It's obviously in the archives of the podcast, but like really in this like piece of work and it was such a long process. So that felt like a really beautiful completion.
13:46I do think two years into motherhood, like there's a shift that I feel happened where I'm kind of coming out of being or feeling like I'm in the thick of it and like kind of feeling creative again or feeling inspired and like not so much like all of my energy going um into Mav in the way that it was where he's like slightly more self-sufficient like he's becoming his own little person And so I'm less concerned about keeping him alive every day in the sense that I was in the first couple of years. So that's cool where I'm like, oh, I want to like create again or I want to like experiment and see what like that next thing that I'm kind of doing is.
14:39and then I also think like within my marriage, there's just like, and maybe it relates to the two-year mark with having a kid where, and we've had this in our relationship where it's like we need to up-level in the way that we communicate, in the way that like, how many dates are we having in a month? Like let's put those on the calendar, like almost treating it a bit more like structurally because life's not going to chill. We're going to keep moving. His career is taking off. We're going to have more kids, hopefully. And so it's like, this is a moment where we're like, okay, in order to keep our connection strong and how we're able to show up for each other, kids, work, life, our health, like what does that look like at the next level so like we've just been having a lot of conversations about like okay like where do we want to be in five years ten years and what would that take how do we want to feel in our bodies because like these are the years where it matters if we're taking care of ourselves where you know is there any part of how we parent that we want to check in on and really double down on or you know so it just feels like a a completion of like the married couple we were for the last three years and now it's like, okay, what's the next few years going to look like?
16:09That's powerful. So powerful to have those like conscious conversations. Yeah. Like, and it's so healing for me because I've never, oh my God, it's just like, you're not going to leave me? No, for real. Dude.

Lately, I've been paying way more attention to fiber and protein and realizing how hard it can be to hit those without giving up the foods that I actually love, like bagels and toast and tacos and all the bready things. So that's why I started swapping in Hero Bread. Y 'all, Hero Bread has changed my life, Krista's life.
17:45I just went to LA and she was all over Hero Bread. She was having the bagels every day with her lunch. She normally has a little soup. She had the bagels. It was amazing. It makes it so easy to upgrade everyday meals. So my avocado toast, the bagel sandwiches, the wraps for lunch without feeling restrictive. The texture surprised me the most. I think it is soft, fluffy, and tastes like traditional bread. It doesn't taste like something you're like, this is like a really bad copy of bread. It's so, so good. You'd never guess. It has zero to five grams of net carbs per serving, zero grams of sugar, and is high in fiber.
18:24Plus things like their breakfast bagels have 19 grams of protein. Okay. That's a lot. That's amazing. Hero Bread has sliced bread, tortillas, which are some of my favorites, bagels, even small batch drops like their croissants, which are unreal, and biscuits. So whatever you're craving, there's an option that fits your goals. I'm excited for you to try Hero Bread. If you want to hit your goals this year without giving up your favorite bready dishes, Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order when you go to hero.co, H-E-R-O dot C-O, and use the code A30POD at checkout. 19:10Dude, it's so funny. That's so funny. It's like years into marriage. It's like, wait, you're not literally he's like so real I'm like I just need you to know this is healing on every yeah it's like I am not every level there was this real this girl posted she's so it was so funny it was like her like looking out the window and waving at the beginning and then she's like every thought I have about my husband during the day and she's leaving she's like I'm so glad he's gone and then she's like later she's like I miss him he's the best and she's like are we gonna make it like just like you know going through she's like like they're shopping for groceries she's like he's so annoying.
19:43Like, will he just get away from me? And then she's like, I've never been happier. Like, it's just like the flow of like, your thought during just all times with that is just insane. It is quite a dynamic experience. But that's why like, I feel like those, you know, connection points actually remind me like when I get off track, and I'm like, so annoyed, or I'm resentful about something. It's not that it's not true. But it's also like, I've lost the plot. on what we're doing here. Can we come back? Like, I'm just, what are we doing? It's just like, it's also that, I mean, it's a joke reel, but it's like that much thought about another person.
20:22It's like, whoa, you know you've lost the plot. Yeah. You know, it's like totally. But it is just so nice. I think I hope more couples are doing this. I saw another couple, someone sent me, they had this like post-it notes on their like window and they were kind of just like planning, doing life planning together. And I think also treating their relationship kind of like a business in some ways where it's like, I think a lot of times people in life will want an outcome, but they think it will just happen naturally. And it's like, no, if you want a healthy relationship, you have to make time consciously to spend time in that relationship.
20:59Like it doesn't just happen with your desire. It happens with your work. And I do think at different phases in relationship, there's different levels of effort and different types of effort. It's like one time there might be more communication. Another time there's like might be more physical intimacy. Another time there's more like, you know, there's kind of like different seasons require different elements of the relationship. Yes. Dude, so I was with someone. This is a left turn. But I was with like someone the other day and they were telling me about these relationships. And they were like, basically these couples have not had sex in over a year.
21:37So they're talking about a group of people that they know. There's two different couples. And both of these two different couples haven't had sex in a year. Oh, wow. Did they say why they think or they don't? They seem like they seem happy and they seem good. I mean, I have my own thoughts. I know. That's not true. That's exactly it. And I'm like, I think that if you're in a— Okay, this is my personal opinion. And outside of that, we'll just leave their relationships. Bless their relationships. They're no longer in the room with us. we're just talking about if you haven't had sex. Okay. With someone in over a year.
22:09I'm like, I think you're like delusional where you're like, no, it's like, fine. We're like best friends. Like we get along. And I'm like, no. But I don't think that's a... I don't think this is a... A true... It's something else, I guess. Yeah, that's real. Yeah, it's not a romantic relationship at that point. And it's just not calling out... I kind of remember Amber Ray talking about this in her book where it's like... Yeah. you're not really acknowledging the elephant in the room. And like sex is a pretty important part of a marriage or a romantic relationship where you've decided to have sex.
22:45Like it's not everything. But if you have become, I wouldn't say complacent, but like just okay with the physical side of your relationship not existing, I think you're probably not being honest with. Yes. Or suppressing your desire. Yes. I think it's just a very human desire. Now, obviously, there's a spectrum. I know that there are some sexual like people, some people are more sexual. Some people a year. There are so many different circumstances that could dampen or dim your sexual desire. I totally get it. So like, we're not speaking to the nuance. Yeah. But I would say high level that it's, there's something a bit off.
23:36I'm sorry if you're feeling judged. I just, exactly. That's my thing is like, would you rather be in a relationship where you're having sex? I think everyone would say yes. I think my thing that I think is true is that there are things that are unsaid on both sides that are not being said. And that not being said energy is creating a dynamic where you cannot be intimate physically because you're not being intimate emotionally and spiritually. So it's not even not being physically intimate. There's things that are preventing you from being physically intimate. Most people that are like healthy, normal humans are only able to go or enjoy more intimacy physically when you feel mostly safe and emotionally intimate.
24:22So to me, it just speaks to that there's things like unsaid in the dynamic and in the partnership. And I also feel like we just fall so easily into a certain pattern that when it's gone too long, we feel shame, guilt, dumb, doing anything different than that pattern. So say you haven't had sex in six months. It's easier to do another six months. It's actually harder to be like, you know what? I'm going to reroute this pattern and just be like, let's really make this a focus of our relationship to connect more intimately, physically, emotionally, whatever, that takes work. And I think life is so, quote, busy now.
25:11There's so much going on. We're like, we're a tie or we're this or that. And like, it could be a year very quickly. You know what I mean? It's real. And then you're like, well, this is too awkward. I'm too, like, it feels too hard. I know. I can imagine that that might be. Because it's a lot of vulnerability. You know, you have to put yourself out there to do that. I actually remember that being in a relationship once. and it was like we were friends and we had been so buddy-buddy kiki that it was almost like hard to slip into like sexy mode. Yeah. And like be like a different version. Yeah. And I think you have to maintain the various versions of you in relationship.
25:52Like. I think that's exciting for a partner and partners to see in one another where you're like, oh, you're this way with this. And then like if you can like slip into different. Yeah. archetypes yeah that was so random but I just was thinking about it and it was like I need to I need to just like I feel like we made a smooth transition break this down I know I need to let us know yeah you guys can let us know I mean who freaking knows I think also too you lose polarity living in an apartment together being around someone's energy all the time oh that's interesting who was it Michaela Bohem she was on our podcast years and years ago I think in like 20 we are at your old apartment but she was talking about how you get a lot of polarity by not touching all the time and actually saving more touch for physical intimacy because then you'll feel the difference of being touched so instead of like being touchy-feely and cuddly all the time yeah because oftentimes that can lead to less physical intimacy because you've kind of had a lot of physical intimacy but not sex so like being doing less touch through the day oh that's interesting.
27:00Which I actually think is interesting. I actually could see that. I totally could see that. I can totally see that. Yeah. But I think there's ways to... I'm so touchy. I wouldn't say tease, but like, I think there's a way to touch during the day, call it, that leaves you wanting more later. You know what I mean? Totally. Where I can't imagine a world in which I would want to be intimate if my husband didn't touch me at all, compliments me. Like, you know what I mean? That aspect of like the flirt during the day. Yes. So I would need a little bit of that, but I agree that if it's like too much, I'm like, I'm touched out.

27:41Yes, totally. It's just crazy how much more like you want to, when you feel connected to them. Oh yeah. When you feel their attunement, you're like, this is say no more, say no more. Like this is the whole thing. I was like, I don't think men realize what it takes. It just takes attunement presence, which I don't think many of them have. You know what I mean? To like, to really get it. Like if you really want a woman, you got to be attuned. You got to be present. Totally. We were joking the other day. We were with like a parent couple that we're friends with. And she was saying how her husband came to her in the morning and was like, hey, I know you've been so tired.
28:22I'm going to take our daughter to this appointment that I know you're going to take her. I'm going to take her. She goes, take your pants off right now. I'm obsessed with this. Like she was like, that is, that is like the foreplay that I'm talking about. Like taking care of things. Yeah. Like I think there are certain things that people would consider the missing link between the now moment and the sexy moment. Yes. And I think for a lot of women, especially maybe moms, it's like thinking ahead on this or handling this or saying, I'm going to take the kids here. So while you relax, whatever, totally, you know, relaxing the brain is key.
29:02You know what my obsession is? I was talking to a client about this recently is I think this is research and I think I got it from research. I don't know where, but basically in relationships, it's all about the welcome and the goodbye. And so I've been doing this with my boyfriend. I'm like, every time I come in, eye contact, kiss, smile, hello. Every time I leave, kiss, smile, goodbye. And the rest doesn't matter. But it's the most important thing is the reunion after parting and coming back together. And if you don't have that, it immediately sends off like a, it's like a bid for connection.
29:45It immediately sends off a flag of like, something's not, something's not amiss or like I am not valued or I am not loved in relationship. And so I was like, I just, I think it also, I was one of my clients or something. I was like, if you focus on getting the goodbye and the hello, right, for like two weeks, your whole relationship will change. There's actually research about children. So if you are someone who works during the day and you leave your child, it's from a book called Being There, why the first three years are incredibly important to really be there with your child. They say that the reunion or the reconnection is the most important.
30:22So like, you know, if you're opening the door, getting down on the ground, looking them in the eye, hugging them, going, playing in their world for a while, like dropping everything and just like being there with them is an incredibly important piece of like just building that secure connection, which sounds like it's applicable to everyone. Wow. I mean, it really is. It's so interesting. Every time I hear like children's statistics, I'm like, oh, wow, that's beautiful. And then I think of the other side of like kids that don't get that. Oh my God. I know. It's like, it's like not healthy for me to be like in like in the children world of that I'm like okay like how many kids get that because even with amazing parents even with amazing parents I mean I go to the park I went to the park the other day and I would say half of them are nannies with the kids and then the other half are parents because it was like a Saturday and everyone's on their phone every single one of them, parents, nannies, whatever on their phone.
31:22And you can see these kids bidding for connection, like just, you know, watch me do this or mommy or, you know, whatever. And they'll be like, yeah, you're doing great. You know, still looking at the phone and we don't think anything of it. Maybe because we think they're young, they won't remember. They're not paying attention. They don't notice like they don't, they're not computing this. they're computing everything. Like energetically, that is sending a signal of like, this phone is more important than you. So it just, yeah. I'm not saying that I'm perfect by any means whatsoever, but that to me is such an obvious one that I am so crazy about.
32:02That I'm just like, if he sees me on my phone, I put it down right away. Because I'm just like, I don't like that feeling. Lauren Bostic was talking about this recently. She's like, you would think I'm on my phone all the time? She's not actually. She's like, I am not. I don't want my kids seeing me on my phone. I don't want to be taking pictures of them all the time, posting it. I don't, no. She's so good about that. That's so like, it's so, this is what's crazy about my mind is I'm like, what I would think would supersede their desire to be on their phone is their desire to look good to other people.
32:37Maybe that's because I feel like I want to look good to other people, but just like, whoa, you would even do that in public? And there's like, let people see you like neglect your child. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. You know what I think I've been thinking about this recently, I was going to write about this. Like, I think it's really hard for a lot of parents. And I've had these moments to be in the boring ass moments, in the mundane moments, because we're not actually taking it in for what it is. We're taking it in for what our old selves perceives it is, which is like not productive. What are we doing?
33:12Can I just be multitasking while they're playing with this and I could be making dinner or I could be cleaning the kitchen or I could be on my phone answering an email. Like our brains always need to be so stimulated or doing something or productive. And yeah, I just, I think our children. That's my fear of having kids. I'm like, I'm a little afraid of my brain and I'm a little afraid of being bored. And I say being bored with like, not saying kids are boring. It's saying it's not, I wouldn't like that I would be bored. And, and, and it's not like I need to think everything is like, wow, a novel, but it's like the way that we have been trained, the way that my brain has been trained is to do 50 things at once and get like high from it.
34:01And so then you're going to like looking at a leaf. You know, like even when I was with my godson, it's like we were like looking at a leaf for like half hour. And it's like, this is what we're doing right now. It's taking in the leaf. And you have to like... But it's such a good process to go through. Huge. Like I just don't think parents like... This is a generalization. I know some do, But I don't think the willingness to do that is as prevalent, but it literally will change you for the better. Because then like, then things come into perspective again. Where you think this email is like the most important thing and I have to answer it right now.
34:42And then you spend 30 moments, 30 minutes looking at a leaf. And you're like, actually the email wasn't that important and it doesn't need to be answered right now. Well, you know what's so funny is all those people on the phone at the park, and again, love, would be like, they'd be like, oh, I do that. Why do you work? Oh, I do it so I can support my family. It's like, okay, well, your family's right freaking here at the park. Support them. You're going a long way around doing work, proving yourself, proving your word, trying to be good, da-da-da, to make money. And then you make money and then you make all this money to help your family.
35:16Family's right here. You could just support them right here. I know. It's like, that's like, this is like the trap of the human experience, you know, again, a hundred percent. I read something recently that completely reframed how I think about aging and it has nothing to do with wrinkles or energy levels on the surface. Scientists just identified the first nutritional deficiency in 75 years. It's called cellular fragility syndrome. It's caused by low levels of an essential fatty acid called C15. And it turns out that this one nutrient plays a huge role in keeping ourselves strong and resilient.
35:54When C15 levels drop, our cells become fragile. They produce less energy, break down faster, and that can quietly show up as poor sleep, fatigue, and feeling like your body just isn't bouncing back the way it used to. That's why I've been paying attention to Fatty15. It's a science-backed vegan supplement made with pure C15. And studies show it has broader cellular benefits than omega-3s. It supports long-term metabolic liver and heart health by actually helping repair and protect your cells. I've been taking it for about, I would say almost a year now. And it's been incredible. I've noticed not only a difference in my skin health, I am getting older and I just feel like I am slowing the process just a little bit.
36:38I've noticed a big difference in my energy and just my bounce back rate. It's been great. Fatty 15 is on a mission to replenish your C15 levels and restore your long-term health. You can get 15 % off their 90-day starter kit at fatty15.com slash almost 30 and use the code almost 30 at checkout. Again, that's fatty15.com slash almost 30. I stress so hard about money, especially when it came to banking and all the random fees you don't even realize you're paying.
37:18I feel like one day I woke up, I was like, wait, how was I charged$40 like eight times? What is happening? That's why I've really been into Chime. It'd be very interesting to see what this generation is like being grown up with the phone. In that way. Like seeing it in that way. Yeah, seeing it in that way. I never saw my parents on the phone. Like talking on the phone. My dad got a cell phone earlier, but I don't remember him being on it. Yeah, but it was like... It was like the house phone. They were just talking on it. They weren't texting. They weren't Googling. They weren't Instagramming. Yeah, no. Now they are.
39:28Dude, that generation, dude. You want to see some - Addicted to Facebook and Instagram. Dude, you want to see some phone addicts? That's actually crazy. Dude, that generation, they just sit there all day with their glasses on on the couch. That's crazy. And they read like sale emails. They're like, oh, there's a big sale at Home Depot. And they're like scrolling. And they're like, oh, rubs. The amount of like text alerts my mom gets from like being subscribed to things I'm like, mommy, this is not good for your nervous system. Ding, ding, ding. Oh my God, stop. I'm like, whoa. I know I love her, but I'm just like, I know you love like a coupon, but it's just a lot.
40:04It's just as constant. They don't understand. They love them, but they don't understand what it's doing. They're like, and they also love the man. That generation just loves like the man. They're like, I love consumerism. I love shopping. I love, you know, like I love brand names. Like I love. Okay. So what is, what would you say your biggest learning from this year? And what would you say next year you'd like to do or create?
40:34Biggest learning.
40:39From 2025. Yeah, I think.
40:50dude my part that is always disappointed was like this is a disappointment so crazy wait say more about that i just have a part of me that's always disappointed by everything and it's like this is disappointing that like we don't have something that we learned no oh no your answer oh her answer is disappoint no that like just another year where i'm like this is disappointing i got it yeah which is just like a voice that's so obnoxious because again this is like why having a notes app on your phone of good things and wins and all that is so important. I think, you know, I mean, this has been, I feel like a theme for the last few years of my life.
41:30And one of the themes from our book, but like, it's really shown its face in my life. Like just the timing of my life is not mine in terms of like, I cannot control it. So whether it's like, when we want to have our next child, like, you know, when we want to have something happen with almost 30, when, when I, yeah, that's true. It is, I'm just shown again and again, like my, the sneaky ways I try to control the timing and then just kind of how I'm like gently redirected. So there's that.
42:09I think, you know, I'm really kind of back on a path of like, and again, I think this is the two year mark where I'm like reconnecting with my body in an energetic way. So I feel like connected to my body in a physical sense, but yeah, I feel like I'm, I'm more sensitive than ever. And so being mindful of, I had like a, a surgery this past summer. I haven't shared about it, but I think I will eventually, but just like thinking about that, what led up to that, what that process was like, how that imprinted on my body, what I'm doing about it now, instead of just being like, I'm okay. Like on one level, I'm, I'm great.
42:55And on another level, like I kind of bypass some of the feelings around it. So it's like, we were so like that for a period of time when we were kind of, at least for me, in my like spiritual awakening phase, being so aware and so into and working with a coach on this and a spiritual leader, healer on this. And I felt kind of out of that for a bit, which I think was healthy. But now I'm just kind of like, walking back in being like, what does that look like today at my, at this age with where I am in my life? And how can I be a bit more consistent with it? Because I do think like my body was kind of speaking to me.
43:34So that's such a good one. What are you doing for that? Um, I'm doing this therapy. Yeah. Craniosacral therapy with visceral manipulation. So this woman, she's, she's a healer. She's also like formally trained in all of these things, but basically she'll be talking to me about having a conversation about these various experiences and just kind of pulling the emotional experience out and also simultaneously working on my body with Reiki and other things. So it's so subtle, you know, where I'm like, is it working? But you feel whether it's like in the release that I have, I was experiencing like upper back pain the other week.
44:24And after the session, it was like completely gone. So it's subtle, but also pretty clear that it's doing something. So she's great. I'm doing lymphatic massages a lot just to kind of like move. I feel like I've, I don't know why I feel like a little stagnant, like in my circulation, it just feels a little funky. So I've been doing those. And then just getting back to my meditation practice, I feel like I've just been out of my group with that. So simple, but as you know, it makes such a difference. Huge. You know. That's a good one. So what was my question? So that one and then...
45:05What did I learn in 2025? Right? Yes. What did you learn? Who am I? Where am I? Who am I? Where am I? What is life? It's hard for me to notice what month we're in lately. God, what a year. Started the year out with the fires in LA. Yeah. And then went to and met like that karmic relationship that was like a kundalini awakening where I was in like a manic episode for like three months. And I was like, had just moved into my house. Going through this like crazy. I mean, I honestly felt like I was rolling on ecstasy most days. I would listen to gospel and feel like I was like rolling on ecstasy. It was insane.
45:45Wow. My therapist was like, you are. I would be in interviews and I'd be like, oh yeah. And I'd like do like some crazy connection. And I, but you know what's crazy is I was like, I'm a genius on another level that people don't understand. Like it was psychotic. I didn't eat for days. I wasn't sleeping. I was sleeping like three hours a night. It was insane. So that was like kickoff to the year, which is actually really helpful spiritually to kind of open some things up and get things moving. And then the book was like so much of it. You know, the book with, you know, starting around like March timeframe and then tour and then all of that, which was kind of led me in.
46:23And I was talking to my boyfriend about this. He's like, I don't think you've rested. He's like, you had two weeks where you're watching Love Island a lot, but like that really didn't count for rest. Yeah. And so I think it was going into such a busy season of the book and then travel with the book and then continuing to do the travel and now traveling a lot more, which is a lot. But I think now I have the spaciousness and capacity where it's just kind of a part of my rhythm and a part of my life that I really love. I think in this year, I really just was asking myself the question that I've said, but do your patterns match your prayers?
47:04And I had to get really honest with myself and look at what I was praying for in my life and see what kind of person I was being to receive that or to steward that or to live in that. And if I want a specific life, how am I, like, what am I doing for that? Like I do a lot and I work a lot, but I was doing kind of small actions and activities for a life that I wanted to be big. And so I think that I've been really thinking about like how I can scale my business, how I can grow my business. I think about stepping in the arena more for like work and business stuff than I have been in a really long time.
47:41And then I think it was a year of like good things with friendships. Friendships were really good. the travel that I did was really good. I feel like my friends are now very stable. I feel like the relationships I've had in my life I've had for like the past years, you know, five plus years, which have been really beautiful. And our book process was beautiful. Like, it was just like such a dream and such a reminder and such a gift to be able to at 10 years be like, okay, this is like what we're giving to the world, which was so nice. And then to, you know, fall in love again, has just been so amazing.
48:16And also at times brought up a lot of pain that I thought I had gone through or experienced, but I hadn't. And yeah, it's just been like a surprise, but good and unknown. And I think next year, I want to really just double down on my work. I really want to like be really set in my systems so that I can go into motherhood feeling like I had this really stable business that has all of the aspects built to it that can run in a way that gives me more of my time back because right now I'm trading time for money in my work and I'm like I need to figure out ways to like set things up with different funnels and stuff to like make sure that I'm not doing that you know what I mean completely and I know that's like the ideal but that's like what my hope is yeah
49:10You know how in your 20s, your body starts slowing down in ways you don't notice at first? Definitely started for me in like my late 20s, maybe early 30s. Your joints feel a little stiffer, skin less plump, energy dips. Yeah. Okay. That's when I started paying attention to collagen. Paleo Valley's bone broth protein is made from 100 % grass-fed, grass-finished beef bones, It's slow simmered from small scale regenerative farms. They do it right. I am obsessed. I'm like kind of holding myself back because I am so obsessed for their bone broth protein. I actually have it in my little cup over there.
49:47I love the chocolate. It is packed with collagen to support skin, hair, nails, gut health, and joints. Plus it's clean. It can be unflavored if you want the unflavored and gently processed with no chemicals at all or additives. I love adding it to coffee, to smoothies, or just hot water like I do with my chocolate. It tastes like a creamy chocolate or vanilla milkshake without the sugar. It's so good. It's basically all the benefits of slow simmered bone broth in 30 seconds, giving you 13 to 15 grams of protein per serving to help you stay fuller and support metabolism. You can head to paleovalley.com slash almost 30 or use the code 830 at checkout for 15 % off your first purchase.
50:32Again, my favorite is the chocolate bone broth protein. I will make sure to put this with hot water. Sometimes I'll add like a little dash of milk, even though you don't really need it. They have like a really clean coconut powder in there that gives it that creaminess, but it is so delicious. I'm telling everyone about it. Again, that's paleovalley.com slash almost 30. The code is A30, A30 at checkout for 15 % off your purchase. I never realized how many harmful chemicals were hiding in my old nonstick pans. Teflon, PFAS, all that stuff that can leach into your food and home. That's why I've been loving our place.
51:11Their cookware is toxin-free, high performance, and honestly very beautiful. The four-piece cookware set is such a game changer. I love it so much. I even display it on top of my stove top because it's just so pretty. It comes with two always pans and two perfect pots, which are coming in different sizes. It's great. They replace a whole pile of bulky cookware, letting you saute and sear, fry, roast, boil, basically everything all in just four pieces. And I wanted to mention the Wonder Oven. It's an air fryer and toaster oven in one. It's sold out eight times for a reason. Cooking at home feels simpler, safer, and actually enjoyable.
51:49Stop cooking with Toxic Cookware and upgrade to our place today. I'm excited for you guys. Visit fromourplace.com slash almost 30 and use the code almost 30 for 10 % off site wide. With a 100-day risk-free trial, free shipping, and returns, you can try it completely worry-free.
52:09You know, it's almost like going through like some hiccups as of late where it like really just kind of brings the most obvious attention to like, I need to, oh, this needs to be completely, completely structured and just dialed in. Yeah. Which is like, that's a, that's a gratitude. Cause like, otherwise it'd just be kind of, I know God said that. I was like, why are you doing this to me? Cause I had so much stuff come up and God was like, well, you would have kept doing what you were doing. So yeah. Well, what else are I going to do? I had to get your attention somehow. Totally. It's so true.
52:41Like I would have kept just running my business in the way that I was running it. And I really needed that mirror of messing up, not messing up, but just like having some wins, energetic wins, but financial losses that were really annoying. Yeah, totally. Totally. Very annoying. Okay. So for 2026, doubling down on that. I love that. Yeah. I think that's my, my 2026.
53:12Yeah, I just want to, and I think I want to let loose more. I want to be more expressed. I'm pretty expressed, but I have way more layers of expression that I want to bring through. And I'm hopeful that next year there's more liberation with things. That transition that allows me to be even more expressed because I just think there's levels to it. There's conversations that I want to be having and there's conversations I want to be a part of. And I felt like they haven't been. yeah you know yeah it's always the right timing for the you know it's like when do we liberate ourselves and then when is the space around us there for us to act you know for you to step into that I know which I think is very specific for each person yeah you know for people who feel fully expressed now it's like I don't know it's hard to describe but when I see people like fully expressed like there's that you witness it and you're like oh I don't feel the space around me to actually do that or feel safe doing that.
54:10Totally. Maybe they work through the field. You know what I mean? Like it's a very specific alchemy for you to like do this at a very specific time. And it's coming. But like it's so true. Yeah. It's so interesting how you just see people just pop off and you're like you are in your expression of your realness. And something is like a flip has switched for you. Where you're just like I'm doing this. I'm talking about this. This is what's up. Like, and I think I, yeah, I think I have fear. Yeah, yeah. There's aspects of like identity stuff that I'm like, okay, is this the identity that you want to go with?
54:49Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And, you know, I think also it's letting yourself change and grow. Of course. You know, which I do that very publicly. Yeah. There's just aspects that I'm like, I want to talk more about this. Mm-hmm. You know? Yeah, I see that for you. For sure. Yeah, 2026, it's like, it's funny. I'm like, what is the energy of 2026? Definitely think we'll, we'll get pregnant again.
55:18And yeah, I loved our book process so much in terms of writing. So I'm just, I'm committed to just writing more. Started a sub stack and I feel like, I know I can't wait to see. How does that feel? It feels great. It's amazing. Sub-Sex is like a different, it's a different world. It is. It's really interesting. Like I haven't felt any weird energy on there. I'm sure it exists, but it's been, um, it's been cool, but it's really like, I think I found myself like leaning a little bit on chat daddy for like writing some things, whether it was like an email response or like stupid things, which by the way, I think it's efficient to be able to like do it for some stuff.
56:06But I noticed myself like kind of losing that, that natural writing ability, which I think is so important that we like, we have that as human beings for communication, et cetera. So I just, for me, this is, this seems like a commitment that just feels good to me personally. And I hope that it does impact other people. Um, but beyond that, like I, I'm definitely, I think both John and I are just working on like that expansiveness mindset in terms of like, what does the next level of like, do we buy a home in the next few years? Do we have, what investments are we making? Just like allowing myself to kind of like, like open that dream portal of like, oh, that's possible.
56:56And like, what do we do now to get there? And it's not just the logistics of saving and whatever, because we're doing that. But it's more like, how are we acting now? Like, how are we showing up to the everyday now? So that like you were talking about earlier, like the patterns versus and prayers, like how does that align right in this moment? How are we talking about our finances? How are we talking about ourselves, our relationship, the future, like just really getting that dialed. So key. I was just looking at some of the patterns or some of the, like the energy for 2026. So 2026, cause nine was 2025.
57:37So it's a brand new nine year cycle begins. So it's new beginnings, leadership, planting seeds, independence, and courage. So collectively, it's the birth of a new phase. Seeds planted in 2026 unfold over the next nine years. Fresh starts, pioneering energy, taking initiative. It's exciting, but unstable. People feel pushed to claim their identity, start new projects, or walk away from old paths. So 2026 will feel like a clean slate after a big purge. And astrology and numerology are saying it's about new beginnings on a massive scale. And it says to expect new technologies and communities, people stepping into leadership in very different ways, a pull towards both radical independence and collective interconnection, emotional rerouting to balance the intensity.
58:21So it's a threshold year for most people. I think also the astrological, it's very pivotal. they have a Pluto Aquarius Pluto and Aquarius happening which is about technology collective power equality movements and power shifting like through grassroots movements also Saturn and Aries which is Saturn the planet of structure discipline and karma will be in fiery Aries this pushes us towards radical responsibility building new identities and pioneering past so it's very like new fresh energy of new different things like it's very interesting yeah i can see how it could feel maybe still really intense also like planting seeds like we can't quite see what the next um almost feels like a bridge year too yeah i mean where it's like it's going to be new exciting but it's also maybe not the stability we crave yet we have to trust i completely agree I guess in Ayurveda, they say 2026 carries in kapha reset quality, roots, water, nourishment, and stabilizing.
59:34It's the year to cool and reground. And then 2026 is the year of the horse, which is a yang year, energy, bold, dynamic freedom, seeking rebellious. Makes sense. Which is very interesting. So it's like a threshold year. Wow. And then in Kabbalah, it says the one year represents with Keter, which is the crown, pure potential, new beginnings and divide and seed. It's the spark before form. Very interesting. Cool. Yeah. That does seem like very true. Cause it's like, I just think with AI and stuff, everything's changing so much in that. And I feel like every one of my friends has been experiencing the experience of wanting a new identity, stepping into a new identity, stepping into a new experience, but not knowing where they're going or what they're doing.
1:00:17Like whether they're have a business and they want to step away or whether they, yeah, and they want to be an artist or a writer or a teacher or like all these different things. I think so many different people are experiencing this desire and pull to start a new identity. So I'm excited to see where we go and see where our audience goes, especially in this new season of life.
