16Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Almost 30 podcast and Happy New Year. We're in January. I hope you had a beautiful, restful end to the year and beginning of this one. And I don't declare any goals, any resolutions, anything on the first of the year, to be completely honest with you. I need a moment because for me, the holidays kind of come in really quickly, kind of like a wave. And I need a moment to like dry off and catch my breath and wait until everyone goes back to work and school. Not that I don't work, but it just kind of feels like that. And And then I can, like, okay, let's see what feels true for me this coming year and in this year that just passed.

07And so I wanted to do an episode for all of you who kind of feel the same where you need a beat. And you would also like to be reflective about the year that has passed and the upcoming year. This is an episode where we're going to tell the truth about this year that just passed with compassion. We're going to look outward. We're going to look inward. And then look to the year ahead and just kind of get clear about what we're available for, what we're not, what we're working on, what we can continue to be proud of and praise ourselves for. I just really want to invite self-compassion into the room.

54It's something that I can say, yeah, I have self-compassion. But if I'm actually looking or observing my thoughts, there's not a lot of self-compassion all the time. There's more judgment and pressure and high expectations and standards that make me a little anxious. So self-compassion has been shown in psychological research to just really help people to be more emotionally resilient, more likely to re-engage after setbacks than people who self-criticize. And I guess that makes sense when you think about it. But wow, what a profound thing to be resilient, to be able to get up after a setback rather than have it set you back.

47for a long period of time. And it is that self-talk. It is that like very true, real perception of yourself that helps that. So I want to set the tone here with this conversation. There's going to be no moralizing. There's going to be no like this is good or this is bad based on outcomes. Um, we're not going to speak about ourselves in like all or nothing stories. So for example, like this year was a waste, um, anything like that. It's, it's not fact, you know, your nervous system is reacting to the year, but it's actually not fact. Um, and then no rewriting reality. Okay. We don't gaslight ourselves into positivity.

41We're not going to say it was like, an amazing year. Like if there were some things that you're like, no, I actually, there were some like really tough points. And sometimes I do that to myself. I can say, you know, yeah, there was a few things that were, you know, kind of hard, but like overall, it was an amazing year and I'm so grateful. And that is not inherently bad, but I think what I am discounting is those hard, challenging, emotionally intense times were teaching me something, were moving me through something, are meant to be felt fully. And so, you know, rather than thinking like, oh, no, that's like, that was a bad time.

25And I don't want to think about it too much. And life is good. Otherwise, like steering away from having that perception that it's bad and we shouldn't look at it. And rather just being like, that was a part of my year and seeing it in the whole picture of like, wow, that came at a time when, you know, that really helped me to realize blank. That was an experience that helped me to grow in these ways or just really opened me up in a way that I didn't expect. So I just wanted to kind of set the tone there. Two questions that you can ask yourself to kind of kick this off. If this past year had a headline, what would it be?

14This past year had a headline, what would it be? And I think for me, the first word that comes to mind is resilience. There were many moments, big and small moments, in my 2025 that just really showed me how resilient I am and also showed me what resilience really means. Resilience doesn't mean just like popping back up and like getting back to it. it's like I've had a couple experiences where, and I'm not sharing clearly what they are because I haven't shared publicly yet. I probably will down the line. But these experiences were very unexpected and just kind of rocked me physically, mentally, emotionally.

16And I kind of needed to let myself be in that, to feel it, to heal. And I just, I met a new version of myself on the other side that I felt was like just very resilient. So if this year had a headline for you, what would it be? If it had a lesson, what was it trying to teach you? What was 2025 trying to teach you if it had like one big lesson. I think one of the big lessons for me, which is just a common one for me in my life, but it's like to trust the timing of your life, also to trust your body. I think as I get older, you know, sometimes the social programming can creep in and it's like, the body gets older.

11You can't trust it. You got to, you know, got to do all these things. and my body, our bodies are just so insanely intelligent. And if we give them the right conditions and nourishment and love and self-talk, like it will, it will perform miracles. Um, and so, yeah, I would say that the lesson was trust the timing, trust my body. Um, Um, so what was yours? Tell me. But I think it's a good, those two questions are kind of nice to just get a high level of like the flavor of last year for yourself. Oftentimes when we hit the end of a year, beginning of the next, we think about our accomplishments.

55We're thinking about, okay, what did I accomplish this year? What do I want to accomplish next year? Um, Um, and oftentimes the brain will forget the accomplishments because we're thinking about the things that we haven't done, that we didn't accomplish, that are still challenging. Um, that's our negativity bias. We've talked about it on the show before, but negativity bias is like our brains, um, basically prioritize threats and problems, which is useful for survival, but not really for reflection. And then there's also the hedonic like adaptation that we as humans have. We get used to good things quickly so winds fade into like normal.

49Or we're just so focused on like, okay, the next thing, like the next bar, we're just going to raise the bar at every win. So we don't really like celebrate those accomplishments. They just become like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Or we're afraid to celebrate them. So it really makes sense if you're someone that can list like 14 things that you didn't do and you forget like the nine things that you did do in 2025. But I want you to do a little exercise. So take a few minutes. You're going to make two lists. The first list is outward accomplishments. So let me help you to conjure some of those with these questions.

35What did I complete? Ship, launch, learn, earn, change, you know, what have you, or commit to this last year. What did I complete or what did I launch? What did I learn? What did I earn? Change or commit to. This can be in the realm of your work, home life, personal life, but these are outward accomplishments. So things that like people see or felt, you can see or feel them. Second question, what did I handle that would have overwhelmed me two years ago? I love this question. I love looking back two to five years and being like, whoa, I would not have handled that conversation the way I just did if this was like three years ago.

20And I just love thinking about that because I'm like, you've grown. You think you have so much growing to do what you do, but like you're so focused on what you haven't grown through yet, but like you can celebrate like I have grown so, so much. My therapist is so good at reminding me of that. She's like, this is crazy. Like two years ago, it was a totally different story. Third question, where did I show leadership? At home, at work, or in my community? I just think we knock ourselves. We don't give ourselves credit for moments or seasons of leadership in our lives, you know, especially in our homes.

04I think we discount that because we're like, yeah, whatever. But no, like, where did you lead in your home, in your personal life, self-autonomy? Like, what did that look like? Then we're going to work on list B, and this is inward accomplishments. So, some prompts to help you define these. Where did I choose myself even when it was uncomfortable? Where did I choose myself even when it was uncomfortable?

38I think for me, one that stands out to me in 2025 was choosing my peace and my focus on my family over a friendship.

57and it was hard, you know? It was one of those things that definitely triggered in me the, am I a bad friend? Am I wrong for doing this? But I actually am really proud and I trust our souls, you know, me and this friend that this was the best and highest decision for both of us. what boundary did I set or uphold? Boundaries, baby. A triggering word, but hey, we got to have them. Boundaries, what boundaries did you set or uphold? How did it make you feel? What did that look like? Third question, where did I come back to myself faster after getting

45dysregulated. Maybe you went home for the holidays and you were triggered by something your dad said and you recovered much quicker than you would have and just kept it moving and understood, you know, the dynamics at play and understood that you are safe, that you got yourself, you got your own back, you're not going to abandon yourself. Oh, does that feel good? ooh what pattern did i interrupt even just once what pattern did i interrupt i did a solo at the end of the year about you know being able to be in the boring moments have you interrupted the pattern of needing to stimulate yourself in those boring moments i have done that that's felt good thus far and last question to help you conjure some inward accomplishments what did i grieve accept, or soften around?

37What did I grieve, accept, or soften around? Just giving ourself our flowers for grieving, you know, for really accepting, for integrating, for just softening around something that maybe we just felt so hardened by or just so defensive around. And then we can go just a step further and ask ourselves, what accomplishment am I most proud of and why. And I think I surprised myself and maybe you will too. Like it was the inward accomplishments that I was most proud of because I know how much work those have taken over the years. Um, second question, what did it cost me to do that? What did it give me?

17So just thinking about that process of accomplishing that thing, what did it cost me and what did it give me?

18Okay. So I want to move on to an inventory part of this conversation. the goal is to kind of give you like this compassionate dashboard of sorts without making it a dramatic identity crisis. I want to kind of take inventory of your health and relationships and alignment. So starting with health, I think a biggie is stress. You know, stress psychology says that chronic stress load, which is an allostatic load, they call it. It impacts sleep, immunity, mood, cravings. So health isn't just willpower. It is like these silent killers. Honestly, I think stress is a silent killer. It's something that we absolutely need to be concerned about or maybe just aware of.

16And it's about the small, consistent changes, the small consistent actions. It's not about changing your life 180 tomorrow.

27Your behavior over time will change. And so for me,

34I've really neglected my meditation and breathwork practice. And I know it's something that people are like, oh, eye roll. I'm not going to meditate. Sorry, girl. But I noticed that I am happier. I feel stronger and healthier. I feel more able to regulate in a moment, patient. I feel more present when I have a meditation practice in place or a breathwork practice in place. So important. And so I've begun integrating it. And even if it's just five minutes at the end of my day or the start of my day. It makes a difference. I'm not going to discount like a short practice. The consistency of it for me is what really matters.

26And it's also something I can trust myself to do and depend on myself to do, which I think increases my confidence and decreases my stress level. Because I get stressed when I don't trust myself. I'm like, girl, why didn't you do that? Like, so I've just noticed the connections between kind of these little habits, these little like things that I do and my stress. And it's just helped so, so much. To kind of hone in on your physical body and stress, you can ask yourself, what gave me energy this year? What gave me energy? Think back to moments, memories, people experiences. What gave me energy?

12What really lit me up? And then ask yourself, what consistently drained me? Were there people that drained you? Were there experiences, daily things, habits that drained you? Getting really honest about this. Check in with your sleep. How is your sleep really? Check in with your relationship with food. How's nourishment? Is it a little chaotic? Is it restrictive? Is it soothing? Is it neutral? Check in there. Um, and what would you say your nervous system baseline is lately? Is it, uh, calm? Is it shut down? Is it keyed up? Just get honest about kind of the baseline so we can be also honest about, you know, where we want to go with it.

57And lastly, what is any, what is something that my body asked for that I ignored? That's one that's hard because, um, I think we ignore it in an instant and we don't really take stock of that request. But maybe sit for a moment and just kind of tune into the body and ask it, is there anything that I ignored that you asked for? Okay, moving on from health to relationships. So we know about attachment theory. We regulate through connection. Relationships shape our felt sense of safety. Relationships are incredibly important, incredibly, incredibly important in our day to day. And there's also this social baseline theory where humans are meant to share their load.

47You know, we're not meant to carry everything. Support reduces perceived threat and effort. It reduces stress. So, you know, really taking stock of your relationships, both intimate and even just like by proxy in your work life and family and all of that. Who made me feel more like myself? Ask yourself, who made me feel more like myself? Who made me feel like I had to shrink or perform? This is a big one, kind of sneaky. I feel like for me, I'm not going to name names, but like I definitely notice myself with certain people shrinking and just allowing their energy to take up space rather than me trying to compete with their energy.

36Does that make sense? So I'm just noticing that. What relationship deserves more attention? And I think that's a really good question because I think sometimes we take for granted some of our closest and nearest relationships, but we really need to pour into them, you know, and reinvigorate the base reason why they are so special to us. What relationship needs a repair conversation or maybe a boundary? We have an episode on clearing conversations that you can refer to for those, just those harder conversations. I think it'll be really helpful. And then ask yourself, where did I abandon to keep my peace?

24Where did I abandon myself to keep my peace? That is also something sneaky that happens. I've done it many, many, many times. Because in a moment, I'm thinking, is it worth it? Is it worth it to like say how I feel? Because I know this person won't change. And, you know, I just kind of talk myself out of it. And I just abandon how I feel. And I'm like, it's all right. And sometimes that's okay. But other times, the self-abandonment is actually just like draining the relationship. You know, It's like then you're not showing up as your whole self. Then you are not serving the relationship and integrity.

10And it just gets funky, you know? So I think as an adult, like that is one of my things I am working on the most, like not abandoning myself, knowing when I leave the room. Metaphorically, like knowing when my soul is just like, we out, bye. So notice that. if you are going to kind of tend to some of your intimate relationships, I have a little mini exercise that you can do that's really helpful. It's called two truths in one request. So you can share with this person and maybe you give them this, these prompts too, so they can also share with you. Truth number one is what I appreciate about us is, so you can be honest and sweet.

55What I appreciate about us is be specific, go at it. Truth number two, what's been hard, dot, dot, dot, and a request, what I want moving forward. I'm actually using this mini exercise with my husband this coming Friday for a date night that we're doing or date day that we're doing. So we can, yeah, just, we'd like to do this where we have these like weekly moments together, intimate moments together where we can ask each other questions. So this is what I'm bringing to this week. So I think it's going to be really good. All right. From relationships, I want to move on to alignment. So these are like your values and integrity.

47So there's this thing called the self-determination theory, and it says that well-being rises when we have autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Misalignment often shows up as resentment, numbness, and procrastination. So if you're living according to your values, you tend to increase meaning and follow through. which I think most of us desire. And so to check in on your alignment, you can ask yourself these questions because I think sometimes it's kind of this like ambiguous concept. It's like alignment. Okay. What? First question, when did I feel most like myself this year? When did I feel most like myself?

Read the full transcript

39When did I feel off or scattered, like kind of split into fragments? What did I say yes to that wasn't a true yes? Done that a few times. Where did I feel proud of my integrity? Give yourself your flowers. Where did I feel proud of my integrity? Sometimes that pisses people off. Sometimes that ruffles feathers. Got to do it though. And finally, what did I keep tolerating? That's a hard one to be honest about, but what did I keep tolerating? And then the kind of a final alignment truth serum question, if no one could judge me, what would I change? No one could judge me, what would I change? I read something recently that completely reframed how I think about aging, and it has nothing to do with wrinkles or energy levels on the surface.

45Scientists just identified the first nutritional deficiency in 75 years. It's called cellular fragility syndrome. It's caused by low levels of an essential fatty acid called C15. And it turns out that this one nutrient plays a huge role in keeping our cells strong and resilient. When C15 levels drop, our cells become fragile. They produce less energy, break down faster, and that can quietly show up as poor sleep, fatigue, and feeling like your body just isn't bouncing back the way it used to. That's why I've been paying attention to Fatty 15. It's a science-backed vegan supplement made with pure C15.

22And studies show it has broader cellular benefits than omega-3s. It supports long-term metabolic, liver, and heart health by actually helping repair and protect your cells. I've been taking it for about, I would say, almost a year now. And it's been incredible. I've noticed not only a difference in my skin health, I am getting older and I just feel like I am slowing the process just a little bit. I've noticed a big difference in my energy and just my bounce back rate. It's been great. Fatty 15 is on a mission to replenish your C15 levels and restore your long-term health. You can get 15 % off their 90-day starter kit at fatty15.com slash almost 30 and use the code almost 30 at checkout.

06Again, that's fatty15.com slash almost 30. The code is almost 30 and you'll get 15 % off their 90-day starter kit. Lately, I've been paying way more attention to fiber and protein and realizing how hard it can be to hit those without giving up the foods that I actually love, like bagels and toast and tacos and all the bready things. So that's why I started swapping in Hero Bread. Y 'all, Hero Bread has changed my life, Krista's life. I just went to LA and she was all over Hero Bread. She was having the bagels every day with her lunch. She normally has a little soup. She had the bagels. It was amazing.

46It makes it so easy to upgrade everyday meals. So my avocado toast, the bagel sandwiches, the wraps for lunch without feeling restrictive. The texture surprised me the most, I think. It is soft, fluffy, and tastes like traditional bread. It doesn't taste like something you're like, hmm, this is like a really bad copy of bread. It's so, so good. You never guess. It has zero to five grams of net carbs per serving, zero grams of sugar, and is high in fiber. Plus things like their breakfast bagels have 19 grams of protein. Okay, that's a lot. That's amazing. Eurobread has sliced bread, tortillas, which are some of my favorites.

26bagels, even small batch drops like their croissants, which are unreal, and biscuits. So whatever you're craving, there's an option that fits your goals. I'm excited for you to try Hero Bread. If you want to hit your goals this year without giving up your favorite bready dishes, Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order when you go to hero.co, H-E-R-O.C-O, and use the code A30POD at checkout. That's A30POD at checkout at hero.co, H-E-R-O dot C-O. I feel like for a long time, money felt way more stressful than it needed to be. I stress so hard about money, especially when it came to banking and all the random fees you don't even realize you're paying.

13I feel like one day I woke up, I was like, wait, how was I charged$40 like eight times. What is happening? That's why I've really been into Chime. It's a smarter, fee-free way to bank that actually feels like it's built for real life, not old school banks charging overdraft and monthly fees just for existing. With Chime, you get paid up to two days early with direct deposit, and their MyPay feature lets you access up to$500 of your paycheck when you choose. That flexibility alone has helped me feel way more calm and in control around money. It's awesome. They also help you build credit history stress-free, and you can earn up to 3 % APY on savings, which is seven times higher than a traditional bank.

51Plus, they're rated five stars by USA Today for customer service. Real humans, available 24-7. And their new Chime card is such a shift. You can build credit with your own money and earn cash back at the same time. It's awesome. No annual fees, no interest, no strings attached, no anything. With qualifying direct deposits, you get 1.5 % cash back on eligible purchases. I use this, and honestly, my younger self would have benefited so much from it. Chime is not just smarter banking. It is the most rewarding way to bank. Join the millions who are already banking fee-free today. It just takes a few minutes to sign up.

25Head to chime.com slash almost 30. That is chime.com slash almost 30. Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services, a secured Chime Visa credit card, and MyPay line of credit provided by the Bancor Bank N.A. or Stride Bank N.A. MyPay eligibility requirements apply, and credit limit ranges$20 to$500. Optional services and products may have fees or charges. See chime.com slash fees info. Advertised annual percentage yield with chime plus status only. Otherwise, 1.00 % APY applies. No min balance required. Chime card on-time payment history may have a positive impact on your credit score.

49Results may vary. See chime.com for details and applicable terms. Okay. Moving on to the patterns. The patterns that we saw in this last year, and I think this will attune us to just getting, I think more aware and attuned to maybe patterns that come up in this coming year. So a little pattern audit for you. Again, a little bit more writing. I should have prepared you at the beginning of this to get a pencil and a paper. Does anyone use pencils anymore?

21Take a moment to write what kept coming up again and again. What kept showing up again and again? Maybe it's a pattern in relationship. Maybe it's a nagging feeling. Maybe it's a scenario or a situation, like the same form of it kept popping up. It's the same conflict, same self-talk, same type of burnout, same avoidance loop. What is it?

51Take a few minutes to write that out or just write down those prompts and then you can come back to it. But our brain loves this. Our brain loves habit loops, whether they're good for us or not. Because it's like the cue to instate the pattern, the routine of it, and then the reward. Patterns aren't character flaws. Let's not get it twisted. They're just often protection strategies, right? And oftentimes, they're just outliving their usefulness. So they just keep going on and on. And it's like, actually, it's no longer useful, but we didn't realize it. In order to kind of extract some of the lessons that these patterns could have taught you, what did this year teach me about my capacity?

38You know, what did it teach me about my limits? What did it teach me about what I actually value? What pain did I keep trying to solve this the same way that I always have? And I think what I've realized is that, But sometimes I get frustrated with patterns where I'm like, why is this showing up again? This is so annoying. But some lessons come back until you stop negotiating with them. And you have to face them head on. You have to see them for what they are. You have to be honest about where you are and the effort you've made or not made. And you have to be honest about what you're committed to do or not do moving forward.

18So as we start this new year, I am excited for 2026. I think it's going to be an incredible year. It feels like to me, for me personally, this is not for you guys, that like, there's just, yeah, there's going to be a lot of transition and a lot of leaning in. It doesn't feel like a chill year for me, but I'm still excited as I take a deep breath.

51Let's focus on intention and not pressure, right? Like intention for me just kind of sets the tone, sets the energy of how I'm going to show up for things, what I'm going to do, how I'm going to motivate myself. And I think really helpful is to choose your North Star feeling at the beginning of the year. If your next year could feel one way internally, what would it be? If your next year could feel one way internally, what would it be? Maybe it's steady. Maybe it's playful. Maybe it's supported. Maybe it's clear. Maybe it's brave, strong, softened. Get clear. Because the truth is emotion-based goals tend to create better day-to-day decision filters than abstract outcomes.

47So it kind of serves as your anchor. Because life's going to throw things at you. It's going to be unpredictable. We can't predict and plan everything. So what is your anchor? No matter what happens, I am going to prioritize playfulness. I am going to prioritize steadiness. How do I get there, right? And I think instead of goals, and there's nothing wrong with goals, by the way. Choose your goals if you want. But for this conversation, instead of goals, I would love for you to choose themes for the new year. So So examples would be a theme of receiving, a theme of creating, of committing, simplifying.

32I think for me, some of the themes that I am focused on for 2026 are leaning in,

46remaining centered, and finding joy and playfulness. I think this might be helpful. there's a concept in relational science called WOOP, W-O-O-P. It stands for wish, outcome, obstacle, plan. So for example, a wish might be, I want to move my body three times a week. Sounds good. That sounds doable. The outcome, if I did that, would be I feel steadier and more confident, where I feel, you know, more in my body and healthier. An obstacle to getting that outcome might be, well, when I'm tired, I scroll and say, I'll do it tomorrow. But the plan, the implementation intention is if it's 4 p.m. and I'm tired, then I put on my sneakers and do 12 minutes of exercise.

57Only 12 minutes. I'm not forcing myself to do an hour or go all the way to the gym or whatever. 12 minutes of movement and that will be enough. So this works because it combines hope with reality and creates an automatic plan. So you have it in place. The excuse actually can't even fit into the picture too much because you have a plan in place. If the obstacle comes up, we say, ah, we know what to do. We don't have to go to the gym and spend an hour, but we are going to put our sneakers on and we're going to move for 12 minutes. And that is going to make us feel a little bit better than we do in this moment, right?

41then you can trust yourself. You can depend on yourself and you can stick to the wish, you know, the goal that you had. Okay. So just a couple more things that I think will help us to just really ground in this new year. We have our themes. We have our just kind of plan if we get off track. We have that to catch ourselves. And I want us to take a moment and work on our stop doing list. So ask yourself these questions. What am I not available for next year? Be honest. Be savage. What am I not available for next year? what am I done negotiating with? I'm done negotiating with my toddler. Oh, I think this is a stupid one.

41Sometimes I just feel like I'm so lax with like people showing up on time, i.e. someone that works for us. And I'm like, not almost 30, but my personal life. And I'm like, no, actually, I am not available for nor am I negotiating with the fact that you need to arrive on time every day unless there's something preventing you that is a legitimate excuse. Like, that is just what it is. I'm paying you for that time. Number three, what gets a firm boundary now? What gets a firm boundary now? Like, something that you've been putting off, that you're scared to make the boundary around. It just, it has to happen now.

22You know how in your twenties, your body starts slowing down in ways you don't notice at first. Definitely started for me in like my late twenties, maybe early thirties. Your joints feel a little stiffer, skin less plump, energy dips. Yeah. Okay. That's when I started paying attention to collagen. Paleo Valley's bone broth protein is made from 100 % grass-fed, grass-finished beef bones, slow-simmered from small-scale regenerative farms. They do it right. I am obsessed. I'm like kind of holding myself back because I am so obsessed for their bone broth protein. I actually have it in my little cup over there.

59I love the chocolate. It is packed with collagen to support skin, hair, nails, gut health, and joints. Plus, it's clean. It can be unflavored if you want the unflavored and gently processed with no chemicals at all or additives. I love adding it to coffee, to smoothies, or just hot water like I do with my chocolate. It tastes like a creamy chocolate or vanilla milkshake without the sugar. It's so good. It's basically all the benefits of slow simmered bone broth in 30 seconds, giving you 13 to 15 grams of protein per serving to help you stay fuller and support metabolism. You can head to paleovalley.com slash almost 30 or use the code 830 at checkout for 15 % off your first purchase.

45Again, my favorite is the chocolate bone broth protein. I will make sure to put this with hot water. Sometimes I'll add like a little dash of milk, even though you don't really need it. They have like a really clean coconut powder in there that gives it that creaminess, but it is so delicious. I'm telling everyone about it. Again, that's paleovalley.com slash almost 30. The code is A30, A30 at checkout for 15 % off your purchase. Lately, I've been craving more simplicity, not just in my life, but in my nutrition too. It's really easy to feel disconnected when your cabinet is full of random powders and supplements and you're constantly questioning the labels, but that's why I really love cachava.

28It helps me simplify and feel more nourished without overthinking it. It's an all-in-one plant-based nutrition shake made with really high quality ingredients. There's no fillers, no artificial flavors or sweeteners, and it actually tastes amazing. Just two scoops will give you 25 grams of protein, fiber, greens, adaptogens, and nutrients that support energy, digestion, strength, and focus. 25 grams of protein is no joke. So I usually blend mine with like a frozen banana and I'll add like a nut milk. I'll, you know, just add kind of my go-to favorite, like different fruits and stuff, but I can keep it simple and it still tastes amazing.

05Like the other day I mixed the mint chocolate flavor shake with a nut milk and ice and I just shook it up and it was chef's kiss. It's just rich. It tastes so good. It doesn't taste fake like other powders. They've done it right. So rewild your nutrition at cachava.com and use code ALMOST30. New customers get$20 off an order of two bags or more now through the 31st. That's cachava, K-A-C-H-A-V-A.com. The code is ALMOST30.

41And finally, you know, we can't do this alone. We know this. We are relational beings. We need support. This is not all about willpower. Yes, we need that, but like it's not all about that. Um, what, what can you put in place now to make it easier to make these themes come to life in your life and for you to reach those goals and, you know, live into those new habits that you feel like would be healthier for your mind, body, and spirit. And I think some ways we can do that is like having an accountability buddy, you know, sharing this episode with a friend who you want to really lock in with over the next year, hold each other accountable, you know, kiki with when it gets tough, like encourage each other, support each other, cheer each other on.

36It's so important. Also, what helps me and my slightly ADHD brain is calendar blocking. So blocking out times in the calendar to do those things that are really important to me that really feed the things that I want to create, that I want to do. I think doing a mass unsubscribing, whether it's emails, unfollowing on social media, just clearing out the constant input. What is extra? What are things that are just like total fluff and don't need to be in your orbit? That is helpful. I think as far as support goes as well, in addition to friends, therapists, coaches, could not recommend enough. I've been in therapy since I think 2018.

32I've gone every two weeks for almost that entire time. And it's just been the best investment I've ever made in myself and helped me to stay on track and accountable. um boundaries around your phone i've said it a million times something i'm always practicing i hide mine in a drawer i usually forget about it after five minutes it's a fantastic habit that allows you to either get more done to be present in moments of nothingness to allow creativity to come through it's a beautiful thing you need to do it i think 2026 is the year that we really say, hey, phone, you're not an appendage anymore. That's all I have.

21I'm really proud of us. I speak to many of you throughout the year, and I just know how hard you work on yourself, your inner life, your outer life, and how much you serve those around you. And I just my hope for you is that you really honor that about you and take a moment to reflect on this last year. It doesn't matter that it's, you know, we're in the thick of January. Like you can do it now. Give yourself a moment and you can also set the tone and your intentions for the year ahead. I hope these questions and prompts helped to kind of, you know, bring things to the surface that maybe you've been avoiding or that haven't been clear yet.

08You can listen to this again. you know, at double times the speed and just write down those questions. But these have really helped me and I'm going to continue to come back to them and just have as like a reference point throughout the year. But happy, happy new year, 2026. Yeah, I'm just, I am open to and excited for the lessons and the growth and the ability to lean in. And I am also very, very in receiving mode of the support and help. I think that is very important as humans. We can't do this alone. All right, everybody. I hope you have a wonderful day until our next episode. Keep doing your thing.
