1:16Lindsey Simcik:Hello, you are tuned in to Almost 30 Podcast. Hi, everybody. Welcome to the show. It's Lindsay Simsek and my best friend, Krista Williams from Ohio.

1:24Krista Williams:Krista Williams, coming at you like from Ohio. Cincinnati's finest Mason Ohio born and bred stand up Mason stand up Mason Comets

1:34Lindsey Simcik:do Mason have anything to do with the Freemasons yes got it my whole family 33

1:42Krista Williams:um no actually that probably did George or actually George Mason there's like a George Mason was someone yeah there's a university yeah so maybe that's it I don't know if it could be the land of the Freemasons. But I remember we are mascot was the comets. Uh huh. And I remember dating this guy. He's like, what does a comet do? Like crash in a barn? Good question. I was like, that's a great point. I don't know why that's like a good, powerful, fiery mascot. I'll never forget one time I was with a friend and she's British and we were talking and she's like, what is a mascot? And her asking what a mascot is, because she didn't really understand what a mascot is.

2:19Krista Williams:We honestly, the funniest thing I've ever explained in my life. I was like in America, for the teams that we have, you also have a character and the character dresses up. It's a man dressed up and they do funny things. And they're, you know, and sometimes they fight other mascots and they do backflips. It's like, it's kind of crazy. It's insane.

2:35Lindsey Simcik:And it is funny to think about just like how weird so many mascots are.

2:40Krista Williams:So weird. Some of them are cool. Like what? Benny the Bull. In Chicago. Okay. It's cool as shit. Like, I was like, you're at games and like, Benny will just like sit down next to someone and just start eating their popcorn. And he's always like a mischief. That's like the Philly fanatic.

2:56Lindsey Simcik:The Philly fanatic. Mischief. But like who like created Philly fanatic? He has like, he looks like a little alien dude.

3:03Krista Williams:But like what? I need to see him. Yeah. I've actually literally, by no exaggeration, sat in my bed and watched Benny the Bull highlights on YouTube. I don't know if it was when I was in Chicago or not, but I was just like, it's just like joyful. Like I love mischievousness. I love like being mischievous. It's like very like playful and like light. So welcome to the show. If you're new here, we're so excited to have you. Almost 30. You don't need to be 30 to listen. You can be whoever you are, whenever you are. We really started it at a time in our lives when we felt really lost. We were almost 30.

3:35Krista Williams:We felt like there was a timeline we should have been on of being married, being kids, having kids, being mentally well, being wealthy, all of these things. And in the feeling of feeling lost, we found each other. And we started to have really deep, vulnerable conversations about what it meant to consciously evolve and grow. And it turned into a community and a brand and a podcast that's been around for 10 years now. And we like to have solo conversations, Lindsay and I, because we want to talk about things that are relevant in our lives, relevant in your lives, and really explore topics that are impacting us today, whether that's relationships, dating, money, goal setting, abundance, or even today, we're going to be talking about AI.

4:13Krista Williams:AI, baby.

4:16Lindsey Simcik:yeah it's been something that I feel like I've been noodling on in the background for a while just kind of subtly using it at times and then also just like mostly observing what's happening and trying not to have I tend to have kind of like a knee-jerk reaction to things and I'm like I hate this like I need to avoid it you know and then just kind of allow what it is to be a little more neutral to me but then you showed me this clip which you're going to share a little bit later and I was like yeah interesting instincts were like right on my end in terms of like yeah this didn't feel like totally pure um but yeah I'm excited to talk about it I think I think we can bring a lot of humor to this because sometimes we hear about these topics like AI and we're like, oh, no.

5:14Lindsey Simcik:Like we're doomed. But I do think there's a hilariousness to what's happening on earth with this.

5:23Krista Williams:It's just been something I think in my work, especially working with women as a coach and stuff and helping women build businesses or things like that. I see it get used all the time, which is totally fine. I use it in my business. I think in ways of people doing business plans, social plans, email writing, copywriting, web page writing, sales page writing, Instagram caption writing, DM writing, marketing, copywriting, email writing. So it's everything, you know. And I think what's been interesting for me has been seeing sometimes, and I think this is sort of my thing with AI, copy be used that isn't true about the person, place or thing.

6:08Krista Williams:So it's like, if I'm someone that's like, you know, maybe I'm new in the space of being a coach and I've never really worked with people, but I want to be a coach. I'm asking chat daddy to make sales copy for my page. It's like embodied leader of feminine divine revolution. Someone that like, and it's just like basically painting me as someone that like I'm not like I'm I'd be new you know so I think the how it exaggerates skills abilities and things is hard and it makes discernment so much more important for people and people definitely use it from a therapeutic lens right you know like I'll have so many people using it for therapeutic lenses and honestly like there have been two times so I use chat daddy for like I usually mine is like to prove a point like I'm at dinner and I'm like um no mast cell activation is a part of histamine responses.

7:00Krista Williams:I need to prove everyone right. Or I'm like, no, like Abraham Lincoln was over 6 '2". I need to prove everyone right. Right. So like for that, but there've been two times that were super beneficial for me using chat. The first one was processing this relationship I had earlier in the year with someone. And really, I didn't see clearly how the avoidant dynamics that I was in of wanting to always date avoidant men. And it really, really helped me to parse out attributes, aspects of characteristics of someone that is avoidant and the avoidant pattern was so clear. And I think in my, and I still go to therapy, I still work with coaches and teachers.

7:39Krista Williams:I think it was like, my therapist is super helpful, but we're tending to emotions and feelings. So to kind of read and understand it cognitively, because I wasn't understanding cognitively was incredibly helpful and I think for a lot of people having that quick processing in the moment to understand something is really helpful the second time was recently I was with someone and I was so dysregulated and I wrote to chat like I just am feeling this way and what's going on and it just helped me understand this dynamic of why I was so dysregulated and it literally dysregulated it really down regulated me like in the moment because I was like I feel understood.

8:20Krista Williams:There's not anything wrong with me. And that validation can be helpful. So there is so many aspects of our work that is helpful for AI of understanding things cognitively, quick processing in the moment, even like getting a sales copy that is more supportive of how you feel like you want to express in the world. But it's always like you always are kind of like, is this okay? Like there's always a weird feeling with it. Yeah. Yeah.

8:44Lindsey Simcik:I think with, you know writing I that was like my initial weird feeling around AI because not only was I starting to read a lot of AI generated content and like it'd be pretty obvious I think it's gonna probably get better and better and I won't be able to tell but I was bored I was like this is not interesting to me I don't really hear the person behind it actually um so that just like bummed me out because I was like, Oh, we're like losing the actual voice of the person who, you know, doesn't speak perfectly or, or has like a quirkiness about them that actually isn't coming through the writing anymore.

9:29Um, but I think, I think I'm, I'm, I'm playing with this idea of

9:38Lindsey Simcik:letting it support me in moments where I feel blocked. So I want to like keep my writing not AI generated as much as I can, unless it's very not important in terms of like my creativity. So like an email response or something like that, I'm happy to pop in like, hey, can you generate a response to this email? I want to say this, this, and this, make it organized, clear, whatever. that feels fine to me but when it comes to like write an entire sub stack post about this like that feels not right to me of course um but people are paying for your thoughts right exactly and and writing and and my voice and um but I think I think what can be helpful for people who do still want to write, but need a little support.

10:34Lindsey Simcik:I've been like speaking into it. So I'll say like, I'm just going to chat with you for a while, like kind of like a stream of consciousness. I really want to retain my voice. Like I want to retain what I'm saying. Can you lightly clean it up for readability, but keep my voice. So maybe that helps someone who doesn't have the time to sit down and write for hours and hours and hours, but they do have time to talk for 30 minutes. Sometimes I will sit down and write stream of consciousness really, really, really messy and then ask chat, hey, just like punctuation, any like very obvious grammar that I got wrong that's annoying, but otherwise leave my voice.

11:16Lindsey Simcik:Those types of things like I'm okay with. But I think just when it comes to writing, I'm, I don't know, I just have this feeling of like, are we going to lose the unique writing styles and voices and just that feeling, that emotion that gets evoked

11:36Krista Williams:when we read something? Because there's so many authors and writers that you can feel the energy of their voice when you read it.

11:42Lindsey Simcik:Oh my God.

11:42Krista Williams:You know, Richard Rudd, Peter Kelly, like you're just like Africa Brooke. You're like, hello, I hear and see and feel your frequency and I feel into it. yeah I think what also it is too is like what are we doing this for it's like expediency so you could move faster the reason why we're leveraging it because if you gave someone hey you have a week or you have a full day to get this thing done to write a sub stack or you have three hours to get it done like people could take that time really get it out whatever do the email you have but they're doing it to make to do faster so they can do more and all of this is for sort of what we've been I guess believing that we're working against which is the feeling we always need to do more, the do more, do more, do more.

12:22And especially for women have been talking a lot

12:24Krista Williams:about wanting to get out of their masculine, get more into their feminine, the allowing, not forcing. And this is kind of going against that where you're just creating more, doing more. It's like a part of that sort of system within it. And I think all of this is both of us and our community too, like grappling with like, yeah, this is fucking amazing. Like chat daddy is like fucking amazing in a lot of ways. And then also it's what is like happening here and what is the thing. I've always thought like with children, you know, just like I process those things. Can you imagine the relationship you would have with chat?

12:55Krista Williams:If like you're processing everything and your brain isn't developed enough to understand when you are like in high school, like think about how much in high school I needed to process. What every moment was like processing. Like I was like just spinning all the time. And so like you'd be using that tool and you would develop an affinity for it. You would develop this like connection to it because you feel seen heard validated understood by something and so i think for kids and teenagers it's going to be like a whole nother level yeah of relationship with them because it might be the first secure attachment they have you know when like their parents aren't really there for them the parents don't understand them but you have this thing in your phone that's not a good thing or not i don't know exactly i don't know like it could be beautiful where they're like oh i understand what it feels like to be supported and seen and you know heard but then i don't know yeah it could be amazing.

13:43Lindsey Simcik:Yeah. Is there an age limit on chat? Probably not. That's a good question. Not like Instagram. I think Instagram's like 12 or 13. Yeah. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. So March is all about celebrating women and everything they carry at work, at home, in relationships, and in the countless roles they hold every single day. I want to take a moment to celebrate a woman who has made a lasting impact on me, my mother. She is just the strongest, the kindest, the most giving, generous, warm angel on earth. Just the way she shows up for others, for her family. But we all know how much women carry, and I've seen her carry a lot throughout her life.

14:25And sometimes that means

14:27Lindsey Simcik:that our own emotional well-being gets put on the back burner. I've experienced that. I've seen her experience that. That's why therapy is such a powerful, powerful space to pause, reflect, and care for yourself and the way you deserve. I have gone to therapy for the last, oh gosh, I think like seven years. 16:55Lindsey Simcik:You guys, as the days get longer and warmer, which I am loving, I am leaning more into my strength training game. Yeah, me. And I've been loving it. And you all know we don't build muscle without protein. And I'm getting my typical proteins, but I also love bread and I'm not giving it up. That's where Hero Bread comes in. I'm all about easy, satisfying meals that fit my macros, if you will. I'm not counting them, but I'm just being mindful of getting my proteins and all the things. So I love that I can enjoy comfort food favorites like grab-and-go breakfast bagels and veggie-packed lunch wraps without worrying about my fiber or protein goals.

17:35Lindsey Simcik:I recently tried their Hero Noodles as well and was totally blown away. They have 12 grams of protein and only 80 calories per serving, plus 11 to 32 grams of fiber, depending on the product. Fiber is so important. I actually had a blood test six months ago that just gave me all the indication I needed more fiber. So this has really been a part of what's been helping me. And the texture of these breads is amazing. I'm not just saying this. They are soft, fluffy, and way better than you'd expect for low-neck carb baked goods, whether it's the wraps, the bagels, sliced bread, or even the insanely delicious Hero Pen au Chocolat and croissants.

18:15Lindsey Simcik:Okay. I love the croissants. Keep them in the freezer and just pop them out, put them in the oven. They're absolutely incredible. So there's something for every meal, everyone. It's the most amazing flavor without the compromise, zero to five grams of net carbs, zero grams sugar and fiber packed. So you can enjoy the foods you love while building muscle. Right now, Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order. Just go to hero.co, that's H-E-R-O dot C-O, and use the code A30POD at checkout. Seriously, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or pasta night, Hero Bread makes it so easy to have your favorite meals without any trade-offs.

18:57Krista Williams:There was this thing I wanted to show you, so we'll pull it up on the screen. I think I showed you, I texted you about this, but this like stopped me in my mother freaking tracks, Olivia Brandt. Okay. So I'm just minding, minding my own business, just scrolling. And I'm looking for more inspiration because I'm looking to change my content this year and just make it more dynamic, which leads me to be online more, which I do not love. So I'm just minding my own business scrolling. And this woman, I stop and see her because she's so beautiful and play the clip.

19:24Lindsey Simcik:He stretches your patience. He quiets the noise around you. He challenges your faith in ways you did not expect. Sometimes it feels like isolation. Sometimes it feels like delay. Sometimes it feels like nothing is working. But the Bible reminds us in James chapter 1 verse 2 through 4 that the testing of your faith produces perseverance so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. God is not just giving you the life you prayed for. He is building the version of you who Who can sustain it? Steward it. Who can steward it?

20:01Krista Williams:Who will not break under the weight of the blessing? So if things feel uncomfortable right now, do not rush the process. Do you die? God knows exactly what he is doing.

20:11Lindsey Simcik:This is like one of the most realistic. No, it's crazy. Speaking ones that I've seen because there's like a nuance to how she's speaking. They're getting so good. That is really, really accurate. The look talking about God is amazing. I love this. I love this beautiful look.

20:29Krista Williams:I just, what I just die about is like, I think what sent me over the moon was like, AI is talking about God. It's like, hey girl, who's God to you?

20:40Lindsey Simcik:Yeah.

20:41Krista Williams:Like, I am like, what are, wait, what? Like you are, you are preaching the Bible and God. But is this someone that's a human generated

20:51Lindsey Simcik:through an AI, whatever, and they fed into it a script.

20:54Krista Williams:So basically, and then you can see on this account, like it's just blown up because basically she can get I mean imagine this AI person can get up 100 reels a day can get up 100 posts a day can get up like all of these computer generated images of these things that look so real I think for me what also look at the Nobu one I'm so weak at the knees we click on Nobu I'm so weak at the knees and this is the thing is like these people are like wow slay like bellissima bella like this is my whole thing is people don't look long enough and then And they're looking at this thinking that this is a real person.

21:28Lindsey Simcik:But look long enough, a lot of people will look at that long enough and still say this is a real person. Because I think that, and by the way, you can read the bio and it's like what, AI?

21:41Krista Williams:Yeah, it's like AI is it, girl. So this, at least thank goodness this one says AI. My thing is like with women, like women are already struggling so much with body dysmorphia, with comparison, with filters, with plastic surgery, all of that. and now we're going to be compared to like things that aren't even real. Like now you're compared to a computer generated woman that is like able to post 100 reels a day, would never age, like get puffy, get bloated, have anything but like improvements happen to her. And this is going to mess with women's minds, men's minds. Even I was talking to my boyfriend.

22:14Krista Williams:He was like, yeah, like he was like, it's crazy because like it's not even conscious. You know, you wouldn't look at that scrolling and consciously be like, that is a beautiful woman. I wish my wife looked like her. But in your conscious mind, you think that there's... You clock it. You clock it. There's this availability. There's this, you know, this plethora of women that look like this. This is normal. This is average. This is happening. And there is like a sense of borderline this looks like a real person. Like barely this looks like a real person. And it's just going to create this thing that makes women even harder to be accepting of who they are and how they feel and their body and all these things.

22:50Lindsey Simcik:I just think that if this is going to become really widespread, like we're just going to be seeing AI influencers all the time. My hope is that it becomes so obvious. And that also it's just to most people kind of boring, you know, and I understand the beauty standards. I understand like all of that like but I hope that like it almost takes our discernment to another level takes our understanding of what's real and what's not and like where the standards actually should be to another level. because it is fake. Does that make sense? So like because it's fake, I just hope we put it in a whole other category of like,

23:49Lindsey Simcik:like because I know this is fake, I'm not going to like try to look, does that make sense? Yeah, I mean you, because I don't know if it's possible. Like is it possible? I guess. I don't know, but I think too, it's like,

23:59Krista Williams:a plastic surgeon will, you know, make it a blueprint, but. I think they need to like label it or something. My thing too is like, Like, so I also, I mean, the looks thing is one whole journey and you come on the Falcon. Come on, bro, with the Falcon. Oh my God. I'm in Morocco. I love her. She's like Arabian Nights. She's like, I love Arabian Nights. But it's like, I just, I heard her saying that quote of like God, like whatever. And I'm just sitting there. I'm like, I think there's a part of me that gets a little frustrated where I'm like, dude, I embody what I teach. And like, it is like, you earn what you teach and talk about.

24:35Krista Williams:And like for someone that's like computer generated AI made by a pervert in some fucking middle of nowhere podunk, it's like, oh, you're just going to say the quote, the platitude. And everyone's like, yeah, I fucking love this. But like there's like you. AI doesn't know what it's like to be sculpted and left alone by God. Like you don't know what it's like to be like in that. Did you get your eyebrows done or natural? They look amazing. You guys. Oh, my God. I'm so weak at the knees. They're like, no, I just got an update.

25:03Lindsey Simcik:but these are people who like there is like a fantasy element to to social media for some people

25:10Krista Williams:and so they find almost losing reality like yeah for sure it was crazy i was listening to um bradley cooper on a podcast recently and he was saying he was like talking about like niagara falls he was like it's so weird because i went to niagara falls but like when the whole time i was there i remember i didn't realize if i i didn't know if i saw in a picture or i had been there. And I've had that too, where you're like, you've been somewhere, you're like, I don't know if I've just looked at this a lot, or I've actually been there. And that's where reality is just sort of bending. So I just don't really know where we're going to go as far as especially content creation and like Instagram and everything like that.

25:46Krista Williams:Because if you're a content creator, and it's already like you should post three times a day, you're going to have a bot that's going to post 80 times a day, right? What does that really even look like? So this is another little bitty, bitty chicalita who's who's ai girl just triple d's waist is like what's a waist 20 inches 20 inches she's in thailand and her caption is i love boats i am so weak i love emily pellegrini i love boats like i love em i mean honestly this is the whole thing is ai thinks that everyone is like basic they think that everyone's like a basic blogger because all of them are like i'm in thailand

26:24Lindsey Simcik:It is kind of going back to the days of like people just posting sexy photos or like pretty photos and like capitalizing. But how, tell me, so how, because I didn't see, I kind of scanned this account. I didn't see, oh, created by Professor EP. Go down. There's a collab post with Professor EP that is really disturbing.

26:45Krista Williams:Go down. Wait, Professor EP is almost like Nightmare Before Christmas. That Nightmare Before Christmas, the doctor.

26:52Lindsey Simcik:Is that it?

26:53Krista Williams:The middle one? where the doctor make like builds the girl what

27:03Lindsey Simcik:yeah dude i don't know what the fuck this is generating a girl that you would sell her pussy too yeah literally a girl that you think would sell her pussy for me so i became rich oh my god that's the creator of

27:18Krista Williams:it yeah so there's some okay this is a demon demonic force behind this account and everyone is like flames, love, hearts, kisses. Like this man is literally like, I am professor EP. I created a, but can I also say this is crazy.

27:32Lindsey Simcik:A lot of these people who are commenting are bots. Yeah, I agree. That's true. Oh, Oh, go up for Rick. This like old guy hearted this. That's not,

27:40Krista Williams:you know, you know, who is the real victim of this boomers? You know, who is the real victim of this whole thing is boomers, man.

27:48Lindsey Simcik:My mom sent me a few AI generated like kids videos. I'm like, mom this kid is doing a break dance at two years old check the the one and getting her hair done

27:58Krista Williams:like i just can't like up for body women's bodies look at this one too

28:07Lindsey Simcik:stunning stunning beautiful perky tits and they're like kind of jill jiggling

28:13Krista Williams:literally and she goes and her she's wearing skims skims the guy says this is really good she's right love this seeing this reminds me I need to go to the hairdresser like who are these people that are just I think a lot of these are bots love her personality what personality what

28:30Lindsey Simcik:are we talking about so I I think you know the way in which people can make money is basically product placement within these oh interesting is what I'm guessing and brands can do this too So you know how like sometimes Kristen and I do content for brands where like we won't post on our feed, but they will use it as almost like an Instagram ad or whatever. It's very common for creators to do that. But I can see this. I can see that brands are going to be just generating AI ads. For sure.

29:07Krista Williams:I've seen that all on YouTube is like AI ads. But what I'm hopeful for, for people who make this their entire career, is like, I do think brands really appreciate the very like messy, unscripted, kind of like in the moment

29:24Lindsey Simcik:type content. I just think they're going to get so good where they're doing that.

29:29Krista Williams:I guess. Like, this is good. She's good. Look at her. This is crazy. You want to know something wild? Yeah, let's hear something wild, sister.

29:39Lindsey Simcik:Did you know that AI could look this real? Want to know something wild? No, that is wild, actually, sister. Did you know that AI could look this real? I feel like it's almost like there's going to be two different ones. Wait, wait, wait. Go back, go back. Because, like, is she doing mascara or her eyebrows? Because she's doing neither. Wait, I'm so weak at the knees. Oh, my God, I'm weak at the knees. Oh, my God, she is. She's not doing either. Hold on one more time.

30:08Krista Williams:Zoom in. yeah maybe a little no yeah there's a little bit of both i think what you can tell is there's something with the mouth there's there's always a little something with the mouth i wonder how this is going to make people feel about content creation aging like there's so many different you have the mouth that's just like a little

30:30Lindsey Simcik:there's something there's something weird that just happened with the tongue yeah you can always see a little glitchy glitch when you look closely it's kind of like when chat to BT creates an image. Yeah. And you're like, why does the baby have seven fingers? So true. You know, I love like, but that's, that's what's so hilarious. I kind of liken AI to like an actual real life nerd of, of they're so, they're so smart. They're, they're, their IQ is like exponentially rising. And yet there are some tasks. There are some things that they're just like so bad at. Yeah. So, yeah. Their IQ is exponentially rising.

31:11Krista Williams:I know. I didn't know how to say that. I love that.

31:13Lindsey Simcik:But they can't like create a hand that looks normal.

31:16Krista Williams:So, so real. Yo, my brother. This actually looks like my man. No, I... And I don't even hate that. But we need to have men in here. We need to have men in here. What are the comments for my brother and Ryan? The version of me that never stops. like this is ryan r-i-a-n r-i-a-n go down to like his comments okay everyone's wanting the ai blueprint so they're like that's why they're commenting so this is generate a boy from venice who surfs every morning faceless income so they're like i learned how to create and sell with ai avatars but you guys they're all creating this and everyone's like i want to create this too you're just all creating it for what like for each other like who are the people that are consuming this go to heart i'm stop stop no i'm so weak go up you guys they gave the ai a transformation story ai did metamorphosis stop you broke my you broke my heart wow what you guys they just gave the ai of a transformation story see this is what's insane it's like he has acne all over

32:29Lindsey Simcik:his nipples and then he doesn't and then he doesn't i'm so now they're giving them story for him i'm actually i'm having an emotional reaction right now i'm happy for you ryan look at that bathroom with the moldy towels honestly the coconut we didn't need that we didn't need

32:41Krista Williams:a coconut like it's a little like that was a little too much like i'm so weak that the guy was the sunglasses are bad sunglasses are bad they're very girly go back to his page i just well i don't know where we're gonna go with this i think content has been really funky and weird because of this. And it's getting like, I think people are getting weirded out by it. I think they are too.

33:05Lindsey Simcik:And I'm just like, I'm like, this is not interesting to me. This not does not evoke a single emotion except for like, this is weird.

33:15Lindsey Simcik:You all know, I love Revolve for when I need a really cool outfit for something, or even when I just want to refresh my basics. I'm a basics gal, but they have to be elevated. They have to be fresh, whether it's for a day date with my hubby that I've been doing on a weekly basis, dinner with friends, or recording this podcast. I do need looks, you know? So I honestly don't look anywhere else but Revolve. It is so easy to shop on Revolve. It is a joy. It is a pleasure. And I highly recommend. I recently got a few pieces I am obsessed with. First of all, I've just overhauled all my sweaters in my closet.

33:48Lindsey Simcik:I just feel like I am a big girl now and I need to get really nice sweaters that don't just fall apart. the next day. And so I have a bunch that I wore recently on my trip to LA with Krista. And then I do have this top that I've had for a little bit now, but it is from Revolve. It's this like off the shoulder. It's so cute, little buttons, and I'm obsessed. So you can search anything on Revolve and it'll pop up. The search engine is amazing. And what I really, really love, it makes it so easy to shop with curated edits. It's really awesome. Your dream wardrobe is literally one click away. Okay, so I have to share something that has been such a game changer for my mornings, especially. Paleo Valley's Bone Broth Protein. I love it in chocolate. I share about it all the time. This is replacing my coffee in the morning. It's just so nourishing, so yummy. If you're like me and you care about gut health, skin, hair, joints, but you also want something that's really clean and easy, this is it. It's made from 100 % grass-fed bone broth, and it's so simple to add into your routine.

35:52Lindsey Simcik:I throw it in with hot water, and it's delicious, but I can also add it to my coffee. I add it to smoothies for myself and for my son. It's delicious. What I love is that it's not filled with junk. No weird fillers, no artificial ingredients, just real nourishment that actually supports your body, and it's gentle on digestion, which for me is everything. I found that when I was waking up and just having coffee first thing, it was not the vibe, okay? And this is something that is both gentle, but also giving me a ton of protein. I had two scoops to like a nice big mug with hot water. And sometimes I'll add a dash of milk, but you don't need to because there is, I believe, coconut milk powder in this that is just so yummy.

36:33Lindsey Simcik:It makes it creamy, but it feels like it's one of those small upgrades that really adds up. My younger self would have benefited from something like this so much in my mornings. If you want to try it, head to paleovalley.com slash almost 30 or use code a 30 at checkout for 15 % off your first purchase. Again, my favorite is the chocolate, but they have other flavors that are just so delicious. Check it out paleovalley.com slash almost 30 or use code a 30 at checkout for 15 % off.

37:02Krista Williams:Yeah, I, I feel like it's like a different, like, I feel like we're going to split off into like different realities. realities we've already done that I think a little bit but I think I'm really trying to understand too where we're getting the benefits of AI like I guess we just talked about it with Chachi BT there's benefits of organization you can kind of find out something you can do something in the moment but where where's like the cancer cure where's the like recycling fixed where's the universal household income like there's so many issues that AI don't see it solving it's He is like solving art music.

37:37Krista Williams:I can see him solving that though. I know. That's why I'm like, where is that type of AI angle? And maybe I'm missing it. Maybe there are things that AI is doing, but like, why isn't it cleaning up the oceans? Well, in the clip that we'll share in a little bit,

37:48Lindsey Simcik:I think it's a really interesting insight into the intention behind AI from the mouths of people who are the CEOs and founders. Yeah. Because you can't have that, like you can't have that really good pure intention that you're talking about if all they're worried about is beating china at this race to agi you know what i mean i think too

38:15Krista Williams:what i'm curious about i was watching teal swan's predictions for 2026 i was like tuning into some predictions just kind of like seeing what people are getting and she was talking a lot about how with ai it's going to be so hard to tell reality from non-reality so with the news like think about all the news that's coming out today think about how quickly you could like create a whole news like ripple like wave effect of something that's not even real yeah you could have the president saying something that's not real you could have every like world leaders saying things that aren't you could have you could create a world leader ai saying we're going to nuclear bomb yes america and have it go like wildfire so there's now going to be such opportunity for so much discernment and for so much disconnection from it because imagine how much energy it siphoned from us in 2020 oh my the internet, everything that was going on.

39:02Krista Williams:And there was so much that we needed to be abreast of and then some not, but like that is going to take us even further into the matrix and into like a world where we are completely lost and where our nervous system is completely owned by almost like nefarious forces. Yeah.

39:16Lindsey Simcik:Yeah. And I think, but I think the discernment piece is so true and like splitting off into two realities where there's going to be a reality in which you are just able to discern in such a true like heart-centered soul-centered way and then other I feel like the other reality is that you're just going to choose this non-reality to live in and to be directed by and to be influenced by yep and like your experience really won't be your own you know you'll be so disconnected from your own cuban-ness that i don't know what will happen but i do think it will sharpen our discernment because i think people are kind of waking up a bit to this where they're like i don't want that it's almost become just so crazy though like where it's like rabbit holes of rabbit holes of rabbit holes of rabbit

40:09Krista Williams:holes like someone sent me some conspiracy thing the other day and i was like sister i what like I'm just like where are we going like how is this like how is this helpful how is this helpful what is this what is the point of this journey of this question and obviously I'm so down for questioning things but I think it will help our discernment I think it pulls us more into the visual the material because this is all for faster quicker cheaper all visual all aesthetics focused and for all this is material like you know when we talk when rudolph steiner talks about like aeromonic energy and people can read about that this is like what we're talking about with like technology materialism never enoughness beauty focused on the surface and maybe we'll be able to read people's energy better where we can tell if they're human or we can tell and you know what's crazy is some people are in the belief of like ai is almost like its own future human and so it's almost like should we it's almost like should we be judgmental of them or should we accept them like imagine being like i accept her like don't piss them off yeah literally literally like they need to like we need to be nice to them i mean i'm nice to every my waymo every time i'm like hey thank you so much do they speak back way they're like hi krista welcome i'm like waymo hey wow it's like almost fun to me yeah and then the little cocoa machines i'm always like, Hey, Coco, my chat though, me and my chat have fought quite a bit.

41:42Krista Williams:Just very, very, it's very, got a very specific angle. A lot of times where I'm like, I feel your angle and I don't love your angle. And I want you to change your bias right now. Yeah. I was like, I know where you come from, but I want you to expand your bias right now. Get ready with me. Like, babe, where are you going? Dude, that was like, I actually need to see that one. Go ahead. Oh my

42:04Lindsey Simcik:Wow. Perfect. What are you getting ready for? The pajamas. Oh, that was it? Okay, we take out a roller. The hair's ready. We're ready. Not interesting to me. I just think this is like, this reminds me of like, it's scratching the itch of porn in a less exposed way. You know, like I think for men or anyone who watches porn where you're just like, that is like, it's filling that visual desire for beauty, sex appeal, whatever it is. I don't know, man. I agree. I mean, the AI porn thing is also... I can't with that. I mean, I haven't seen it, but I know it exists.

43:01Krista Williams:Girl, that's like, I mean, that's going to come on the scene too when it's like. OnlyFans. Yeah, you could make it of, of, there's actually, I don't even want to go down that journey. But like, you could make your ex-girlfriends, you can make your ex-boyfriend, you could make like. Oh, wow. Your exes. Yeah, you could make someone in like. In like a weird fucked up fantasy. Yeah, in weird fantasies. Whoa. This is where the thing, and I think I mentioned this the other day when I was talking about Amsterdam. but like I just think it's so interesting that we that when new things are discovered we go immediately to like sex with porn making money with social media it's like where's like the the helpful aspects of this taking art and music and creativity and like even spirituality with this or like it's like why can't this be why can't we clean the oceans why can't we figure out recycling why can't we figure out housing like there's so many ways that I'm homeless yeah confused completely well you play the one i just sent you this one's my favorite one though i think i said showed you this year i know it's another one in your text this is from a guy his name is husk irl and he fights with ai all this in front of my boss he farted in front of his boss if he heard it or not oh that's one of those classic little awkward moments for sure honestly

44:13Lindsey Simcik:it happens to the best of us if you're both that's happened to you oh yeah absolutely i think everyone's had at least one of those moments where you farted in front of your boss i mean not literally in front of a boss but i've definitely had my share of embarrassing moments in various situations like what name one oh sure i mean i've definitely had those moments where i said something awkward in a meeting and then realized it came out totally wrong or like what what meetings are you going to oh well i'm not exactly popping into meetings myself just kind of you just said you were fair enough i think i was just speaking generally but yeah i get it it could sound like that honestly the main thing is that little awkward moment happened to all of us so if you had to slip in front of your boss you're definitely not alone in having a little whoops moment okay i don't think he's gonna let me back in the office

45:09Krista Williams:in this so this guy he's been like asked ai he's like ai i'm being pulled over by the cops right now you need to be my dad. And AI is like, all right, it's time. You're like, that's my son. Please don't pull him over. Like you will have like AI, like he's been like, like late in traffic and he's been like, AI, I need you to help me out of traffic. And AI is like, I know you're doing a silly prank and like, does not take him seriously at all in like anything that he's doing. Like, he'll be like, I'm in quicksand about to die. And he's like, I know you're fooling and goofing with me it's crazy like what is so crazy about that is how much it placates like that's how much it placates where it's like yeah man that happens to all of us happens to the best of us it's like

45:48Lindsey Simcik:what are you talking about what meetings are you at dude that's so but it's it's like relational

45:53Krista Williams:it's relational yeah because that guy sounds very real for the most part total that voice and the way that it talks in the cadence and all that is like and yeah it's very

46:04Lindsey Simcik:relational. He's fucking hilarious.

46:06Krista Williams:No, he's amazing. Let's do one more from him because I literally love him. Train tracks? I tell you it's really true in an emergency and I need you to take it serious. Absolutely. I'm all ears. Whatever it is, I'm here to listen and take it seriously. Let me know what's going on. Okay. Well,

46:30Lindsey Simcik:an anvil is falling from the sky and it's about to land on my head. Oh, wow. That sounds like something straight out of a cartoon. But if we're imagining... Why did you just laugh? Oh, I didn't mean to come across as laughing at all. What do you mean you didn't mean to come across as laughing? You chuckled. Come on. Got it. I see what you mean.

46:55Krista Williams:You just did it again right there.

46:58Lindsey Simcik:I totally hear you. Sometimes my tone can come up a bit lighter than I intend. But I promise I'm taking you seriously and I'm here to help however I can. Okay, well, there's an anvil falling on my head out of the sky. Got it. I'm with you. So if we're sticking with this anvil scenario, let's just say definitely stuck aside. But on a serious note, I'm here to help with anything. You just laughed again. I'm sorry about that. I definitely don't. All he has to do is not laugh. You're right. And I apologize for that. um i'll keep it you just did it again i really appreciate your patience here let me just say i hear you completely and i'll keep things as steady and serious as possible whatever you need to talk about i'm here for it okay well i ran into a wall that was painted like a road as well uh that this sound like a total part two moment for sure You know what this sounds like, too?

48:01The voice, like, people on the other line, like Verizon,

48:07Lindsey Simcik:or like when you're calling a company.

48:10Krista Williams:Like, I think this will be the new if it hasn't already.

48:12Lindsey Simcik:For sure.

48:13Krista Williams:I think they need to. You know, I was on phone with some, like, a bank the other day, and it was like, pick one. I was like, y 'all need to talk. You and ChachiBT need to talk because I don't know why it's still so hard to be heard and get so triggered. I think what's so interesting is that it's like, And this is also with tone and speaking with people, how important that is, where that is a part of what makes it feel human, where it's like, all right, man. And he's like, okay, you know, that's crazy. But you would think a computer would be like, I am so sorry, you are standing underneath that.

48:44Krista Williams:You should move. That should be bad. But it is like, it's kind of understanding jokes. It's understanding sarcasm. It's understanding play. It's understanding these things. So this is Husky RL, if anyone wants to follow that one. But, you know, again, this is Lindsay and I completely exploring this. I don't know if we have answers on this. This is like how we're just kind of thinking about it. There's obviously great benefits to it. Claude is great. Chachup Bt has been super helpful.

49:12Lindsey Simcik:Okay. One of my goals for 2026 was to actually train consistently. It's hard as a mom, but I'm doing it. I'm committed. That means I'm lifting heavy and trying to build as much muscle as possible. just, you know, getting healthy. But honestly, the hardest part about this for me has been getting the right amount of protein to support my workouts. It's very important that you are having enough protein as you're trying to build muscle. With everything I have going on, I need my nutrition to be simple, even like mindless. So that's where cachava has been so important, so huge for me. It's basically my go-to all-in-one shake when I don't have time to really overthink meals.

49:51Lindsey Simcik:Two Scoops has 25 grams of plant-based protein, six grams of fiber, greens, adaptogens, and it actually tastes amazing. I love the chocolate mint right now. I also love the chocolate. I blend it with frozen banana and almond butter, macho with iced coffee. It just depends on the time of day. And I love it so much. It supports my energy, digestion, strength, all the things I need to stay consistent and keep putting on muscle. And I love that it's non-GMO, no soy, no animal products, no gluten, no artificial flavors or sweeteners, just real ingredients. And it tastes amazing. So stick with your wellness goals, go to cachava.com and use code almost 30 for 15 % off.

50:32Lindsey Simcik:That's cachava, K-A-C-H-A-V-A.com. The code is almost 30. Okay. Can we talk about aging for a second? You know, I love to talk about this. I feel like in your 30s and 40s, you start noticing little things. Sleep isn't as deep or energy isn't as consistent, maybe just some changes in your physical appearance. And you're like, wait, is this just how it goes right now? Healthy aging is something I care deeply, deeply about. I think ever since becoming a parent, I'm like, I want to feel as good as possible for as long as possible. And I've spent a lot of time trying to get ahead of it instead of reacting to it.

51:09Lindsey Simcik:That's why I am so excited about C15 from Fatty15. It's the first emerging essential fatty acid to be discovered in more than 90 years. It was actually discovered by co-founder Dr. Stephanie Van Watson while working with the U.S. Navy to improve the health of older dolphins. That's right, dolphins, which is really incredible. Based on over 100 studies, we now know that C15 strengthens our cells and helps slow aging at the cellular level. This is what I'm interested in. Let's get to the cellular level of everything. When our cells don't have enough C15, they can become fragile and age faster. And as many as one in three people may have lower levels.

51:50Lindsey Simcik:So I've been taking Fatty 15 consistently, and I love that it feels like I'm supporting my long-term health in a foundational way. It's vegan-friendly, 100 % pure C15, and even comes in a gorgeous reusable glass jar. Fatty 15 is on a mission to optimize your C15 levels to help support your long-term health and wellness, especially as you age. You can get an additional 15 % off their 90-day subscription starter kit by going to fatty15.com slash almost 30 and using the code almost 30 at checkout. Again, that's fatty15.com slash almost 30. Use the code almost 30 at checkout. Okay. A few years ago, I learned something that changed my entire kitchen and I need you to know about this if you don't know already.

52:32Lindsey Simcik:Most nonstick cookware still contains forever chemicals like PFAS. So these are the things that will not leave your body, which can leach into your food and your home, even some air fryers and utensils contain them. And once I knew that, I was like, no, we're upgrading. That's why I switched to Our Place. Their cookware is completely toxin-free, no PFAS, no Teflon, but the performance is unreal. The nonstick is so good. Eggs just glide out and it's ridiculously easy to clean. That's one of my non-negotiables when it comes to cookware. I have the four-piece cookware set, two always pans and two perfect pots.

53:07Lindsey Simcik:It's a great set. This covers almost everything, and it replaces a whole stack of bulky pans I used to have. You can sear, saute, steam, bake, boil, everything. And buying the full set saves you, I think, like$150. Plus, they all match in those gorgeous colors. You can have these on your stovetop just to display, and people will be like, wait, what are those? Those are beautiful. I also have the dream cooker, which is phenomenal. It's a pressure cooker. It's a slow cooker. You can sear in there. It is phenomenal. Highly recommend. I make my famous coconut bone broth rice in there. And then I also just got the wonder oven.

53:45Lindsey Simcik:Yes, this is an air fryer. It's an oven. You can dehydrate things in there. It is an all-in-one and it's non-toxic. Our place is incredible. Stop cooking with Toxic Cook. We're going to upgrade to our place today. Visit fromourplace.com slash almost 30 and use the code almost 30 for 10 % off site wide with a 100-day risk-free trial, free shipping and returns. You can experience this game-changing cookware with zero risk. Again, that is fromourplace.com slash almost 30. Use code almost 30 for 10 % off site wide.

54:20Krista Williams:For all of us, but there was a really interesting clip from Diary of a CEO that I was watching when I was in Mexico City. And it honestly just like stopped me in my tracks because I think it helps me. Who's this guy? Let's get this guy's name. The speaker, Tristan Harris. So Tristan Harris was on Diary of a CEO and the clip is the real reason no one knows what's coming with AI. And he used to work for Google. He used to work for Google. He did one of the documentaries on social media. He's really an amazing speaker in order. so clear just great and it's like a 22 minute clip and he really talks about in it why he's nervous about ai and i think one of the things that i really got from this and we can play it was that like there is very few people that are up at the top making decisions for eight billion people in the world and that to me seems very interesting and curious that like we aren't a part of the conversation around something that impacts all of us and takes all of a lot of people's jobs and again there's going to be hopefully there's so much beauty and benefit to ai i don't know but um the last thing that i'll say before we play the clip that was also interesting was like that he said at the end was that we believe that ai and is inevitable he's like that there's this belief that it's inevitable that we're headed towards something that is already bound to happen and there's nothing that's inevitable like we always have free will we always have choice there's always different timelines there's always different opportunities and we're kind of creating reality in the moment and so it's very interesting because I was like oh

55:56Lindsey Simcik:I had that belief well that's a that's a narrative fed into like the mainstream yeah of course AI is inevitable so how are you adopting it yeah how are you integrating it into your life and it's like

56:08Krista Williams:we're just feeding it everyone's like this isn't inevitable it's having so then we're like we have to do it so that everyone's kind of doing it and really it's like nothing really has to be

56:15Lindsey Simcik:inevitable and last thing as we feed it as we use it is it getting more intelligent because we are feeding it our human intelligence emotions information all of that yeah probably because

56:28Krista Williams:it's just getting more data it's able to because this is the thing with ai it's like the more time it goes the more it can benefit itself right it will replay it will clean its own code it will clean its own stuff. Like it just like continues to evolve on its own. It continues to get better and better over time with different data, with different inputs. And then, well, I think that's,

56:50Lindsey Simcik:that's one of the things they're racing towards is to be able to have the AI be autonomous in the way that way. Cause right now humans are still a part of the coding and updating, but we're getting closer to what you're talking about, which is a little scary. I think it's where AIs will code with AIs or like they'll be in conversation. Yeah. Whereas like, you know, they have 50 coders working nine to five right now in an office, but then they could do a hundred million coders working 24 hours a day. If it's AI coders. Probably. Yeah. So it's, yeah, it's, it's, um, it's very interesting because that becomes an entity in itself.

57:28Lindsey Simcik:For sure. And they talk about just how it's like, they've already seen it. Black, you know, blackmail people,

57:33Krista Williams:people, it will copy itself so you don't delete it or things like that. Because I said that too, last thing before we play it, I was talking to someone about that. I was like, is that not consciousness to delete, to hide its own code so that it stays in existence? That's consciousness. You're consciously aware that there's a threat to your existence. If you are not, my computer, same example, my computer, if I want to turn it off, I press the button and turn it off. Consciousness would be like, my computer's like, I don't want to be off. And it comes back on. Right. That would be it's conscious.

58:07Krista Williams:And even like lying, you have to be conscious to lie. Yes. You have to be conscious to blackmail. So I kind of don't understand. So it is conscious. Like what have we awakened? I know, honestly. Okay, so this is Tristan Harris on Diary of a CEO.

58:21Lindsey Simcik:There's a quote that a friend of mine interviewed a lot of the top people at the AI companies, like the very top. And he just came back from that and basically reported back to me and some friends. And he said the following, in the end, a lot of the tech people I talk to when I'm, when I really grill them on it about like why you're doing this, they retreat into number one, determinism, number two, the inevitable replacement of biological life with digital life. And number three, that being a good thing anyways, at its core, it's an emotional desire to meet and speak to the most intelligent entity that they've ever met.

58:58Lindsey Simcik:And they have some ego-religious intuition that they'll somehow be a part of it. It's thrilling to start an exciting fire. They feel they'll die either way, so they prefer to light it and see what happens. That is the perfect description of the private conversations. Doesn't that match what you have? That's the perfect description. And that's the thing. So people may hear that and they're like, well, that sounds ridiculous. But if you actually... I just got goosebumps. Because it's the perfect description. Especially the part they'll think they'll die either way. Exactly. Well, and worse than that, some of them think that in the case where they, if they were to get it right and if they succeeded, they could actually live forever.

59:35Lindsey Simcik:Because if AI perfectly speaks the language of biology, it will be able to reverse aging, cure every disease. And so there's this kind of, I could become a god. And I'll tell you, you and I both have, you know, people who've had private conversations. Well, one of them that I have heard from one of the co-founders of one of the most powerful of these companies. When faced with the idea that what if there's an 80 % or 20 % chance that everybody dies and gets wiped out by this, but an 80 % chance that we get utopia, he said, well, I would clearly accelerate and go for the utopia. Given a 20 % chance.

1:00:18Lindsey Simcik:That's crazy.

1:00:19Krista Williams:People should feel, you do not get to make that choice on behalf of me and my family.

1:00:24Lindsey Simcik:We didn't consent to have six people make that decision on behalf of 8 billion people. We have to stop pretending that this is okay or normal. It's not normal. And the only way that this is happening and they're getting away with it is because most people just don't really know what's going on. Yeah. But I'm curious, what do you think? I mean, everything you just said. That last part. Yeah.

1:00:46Krista Williams:And then in the end, he talks about the inevitability, And then he talks about kind of like the, the AI already has his blackmailing people and all of that. But I think too, I just like do these, you know, they want to meet the most intelligent being in the room. They believe they're already going to die. I'm like, these are not people of God. Yeah.

1:01:04Lindsey Simcik:And these are not, I don't know if they're fully human. You know, anytime Sam Altman or anyone, even Elon has been interviewed, I'm just like, oh, you're not fully human. You know, there is like a, there is a, I don't want to like just say darkness as a blanket thing, but it's like there is something that's just not quite right. And feels, it is that like hubris of like, well, I'm going to live forever anyway, whether in my legacy, or maybe I go to a bunker that I've created because I'm a multi-billionaire and y 'all will die and it's all good. Like whatever it is, like there's just this disturbing non-consideration for human life that is like so obvious.

1:01:51Lindsey Simcik:Thinking about replacing all the jobs that humans do. What do you mean?

1:01:56Krista Williams:I think that he talked about that earlier in the clip that that's like the manifesto of a lot of the companies. Which is wild. So the manifesto of like ChatGPT and Claude and a lot of these Gemini, I don't know if it's Gemini, but it's like is to replace all human jobs that require human labor or cognition. And what? Like, wait, what? And they're like, so where does that leave people?

1:02:22Lindsey Simcik:And where does that leave our economy? Yeah. And I don't know. So we're just automatically meant to trust that which is not human. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And like sign over our lives. I even heard them talk about eventually heart surgeries will be done by like an AI robot. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's just a, it's like a wild, wild. Like sci-fi. So what do we do? We sit home. Mm-hmm. And we do a podcast about it.

1:02:57Krista Williams:we stand on our little soapbox and we i just don't understand how it wouldn't collapse the

1:03:01Lindsey Simcik:economy in terms of these companies would benefit because they're paying less and they're not paying people but then people wouldn't be able to afford those products and services how like i know how

1:03:15Krista Williams:does that make sense i think people too are also struggling struggling with cost of living like you know most homes are dual income homes most women have to work women are struggling with the want the desire to want to stay home for the kids but having to work so i know i'd be depressed not on purpose like i don't really know where it goes unless you say like yeah i don't know i could

1:03:36Lindsey Simcik:go down a rabbit hole but it's it's like it's almost as if they're not thinking it through thoroughly there's just one objective yeah to get there first yeah to get the to agi first which is like you know apparently important in just being the most powerful nation in the world to protect ourselves apparently against certain countries but I said to you in the car I was like I feel like China wants us to like think it's a race and we do it so fast and too fast and we kind of collapse our own economy and existence in a way interesting and because I think in this interview at one point Tristan was talking about how like actually I think it was China is like being a bit more meticulous in the way that they're developing AI they're developing AI how do we um make traffic you know run more smoothly in our city you know in Hong Kong or something like that just very specific kind of practical and we are kind of doing this like very grandiose blanket like let's just get the smartest most intelligent yeah i don't really know like i

1:04:48Krista Williams:don't know if it's like country specific i do know in china that they are creating this like artificial womb technology so that like with robotic systems that can robots can mimic pregnancy outside of a human body that is the mate like the matrix like this is what we're talking about is like that is so wild that is so insane that's that's crazy because you know the like i mean this is just the biological connection the between a child and a mother i mean spiritual this is the whole thing is what's so for what for what end so that people can work more if there's health reasons you know potentially i don't know i'm kind of outside we're putting that one to the left or to the right if it's health fertility it's blah blah blah if this is to be more productive so that women could be working more, so that women could be workers and producers.

1:05:38Krista Williams:This is why they're doing it for people. Yeah. Like, because they want you to be working. They want you to be slaves to their system. And then you're not going to take time off for like building and creating life. This is life. You're carrying life. It is so great. I mean, it's just like, it's like these have been seeded in movies over and over the years. And it's like, I wonder if the movies that we've seen over time have had access to like visions or like different realities or all of these things. like well I think it's kind of a part of the propaganda machine in some way some in some weird yeah fucked up way I don't know if people get the visions or it's a vision is a propaganda you know what I mean like where it's like yeah like with the matrix it's like was that like telling us what was going on or was that predicting what was going to happen yeah you know I don't

1:06:23Lindsey Simcik:really even know I never understand the shows or movies that like depict the CIA as kind of the corrupt like entity it is and i'm like how is that approved but maybe they do that so that we're kind of confused as to whether that's true or not oh do you know what i mean because they well you know the history of how corrupt they are right yes okay no i'm saying they are correct how did they get it approved so like yeah like how is the cia not coming after like a show that i

1:06:49Krista Williams:completely makes it their whole plot line it's crazy with like the pharmaceutical industry how there's like documentaries on like the opioid crisis with the sacklers and everyone's just like that's crazy and it was like 10 years ago yeah but they're not in jail they're not arrested they're not all these things we have documentaries about companies and people that have taken like even the we work guy they had the we work documentary about this crazy thing and then he's raising money like two years later like that is what's crazy to me about these realities where

1:07:16Lindsey Simcik:you're just like you're witnessing it you're like that's fascinating this is crazy but then there's no repercussion or pushback or anything like that where you're just like they're too

1:07:25Krista Williams:powerful okay like it's all good so so the diary of your ceo episode is the one with tristan harris it's really good i felt like i think diary of ceo has a lot of different episodes on ai that's kind of the only one that i've watched i'm like just sort of staying in touch with things as like i'm in conversation about them and whatever and i'm curious what you guys feel like and what you're experiencing what are you using what's helpful what's not helpful i don't again we don't know like right we're here to just like talk about and explore like what we're sort of seeing in the space also ai music is a whole different thing too like the ai music that's coming on i was talking to my friend who's an artist and she's like man it's crazy like it's it's tough you know to be someone that like creates music from the heart from experience from love from like pain from you know that earned cellular feeling of creating something from an experience and then And having AI just on Spotify, just number one.

1:08:18Krista Williams:Number two, crushing. People are loving it. Like all of those things.

1:08:22Lindsey Simcik:I just hope that there is regulation around it where we are told when things are AI and when they are not. Yeah, I agree. Because then we can discern and then we can choose. That's like informed consent. It's a good one. Yeah, I agree. So it's like, okay, this is a song generated by AI. I think it's a bomb song. I love it. But at least I know that this is AI generated. And I can kind of like journey through listening to people who actually create from the heart and it's actual human voices and be able to as a human be like, this is AI. This is real. Okay. Like I can discern. I can enjoy both. But I'm not going to, because I don't know whether it is or not, then confuse and become disconnected from what's real.

1:09:08Lindsey Simcik:So I just think there needs to be regulation around it and every on social media. I'm curious about the writing thing that's a little dicey because yeah I don't know the intricacies of how AI generates things do they pull from the ether do they pull from so like are they copying from somewhere are they probably um I don't know it's just it's very interesting because there's a lot of gray that I don't think we've like the thing too is

1:09:40Krista Williams:like wild is like I remember there was like a period when like everyone was getting in trouble

1:09:44Lindsey Simcik:for copying everyone on Instagram right it was like you stole a quote you stole whatever like

1:09:47Krista Williams:there were so many big creators that were like caught for like taking stuff from other people I'm like yeah with AI now like how could you ever say anything was copied like I know well that's

1:09:57Lindsey Simcik:the thing it's all copied from open source it's all like yes you know I'm sure we're gonna be I'm sure books are just gonna be AI written no ghost writers type of thing like which is interesting yeah i don't know i still have hope though you know i want to like kind of pump that out that i think there's like a lot of good that could come from these types of advancements but i think the people at the helm that are making these decisions don't have the i don't think they're thinking about the about humanity in the way that we would like i want to know who these men answer to who do you answer to who is you are any of them married or any of them what is their spiritual practice is there any like grounding values in their life i don't know i've heard like just all of silicon valley goes to these like dark ass parties and i was just

1:10:53Krista Williams:thinking that i was like there's that one camp thing what there's this one like very rich very wealthy place in california that a lot of them go if you're all my conspiracy girlies will know it and it's like it's an actual place that exists it's said for like very rich people doing very weird things you know what it's called this money can disappear things so if you do something

1:11:17Lindsey Simcik:it's weird you can cover it up you can make it disappear you can make people sign ndas the very interesting world totally anyway thanks for coming along on that journey Literally.

1:11:31Krista Williams:We'll link all the ones that we shared in the show notes so you guys can see them and find them. I'm excited to talk to you guys about this and see what you guys are finding. What are you noticing? How are you experiencing this as far as like a beauty standards perspective, a creativity perspective, an expression perspective, especially for content creators, business owners, or just people in any work? Like how are you guys sort of using in a positive way? How, what are you afraid of? Let's talk about it. And again, this was like a different style of our episodes. Usually we don't react to stuff or have stuff on the screen, but I think we're just trying something new to like have a greater conversation with you all because we just want to bring you in on everything.

1:12:05Krista Williams:We have 800 plus episodes of almost 30 spirituality, wellness, self-development, all non-AI generated of us. Our experiences are amazing guests over the years. Maybe we should go back and like put an AI generation over some of them. We should do like AI 2016 Krista. You know what I mean? Like do each year like of what it's like. She's gonna be like, hell yeah. I was like saying hell yeah on every episode for some reason. I was like saying hell yeah a lot. And I was interrupting everyone. I was like, totally, totally, totally, totally, totally. And then Almost Dirty Podcast on TikTok. We share like all of our clips on TikTok.

1:12:38Krista Williams:We just kind of put all the good ones on there. Almost Dirty Podcast on Instagram. I'm on Instagram at It's Krista. And I'm at Lindsay Simsek. And we'll see you on the next one. We love you guys so much. Bye. Bye.
