In short
Miranda Kerr discusses spirituality and “energetic hygiene” (meditation, prayer, shielding from draining people, angels), how she channels intuition into product creation, and how she balances empathic sensitivity with motherhood and being a public figure. She also explains Cora Organics’ certified-organic approach, why “clean” isn’t enough, and how crystals and positive words are used in formulations.
Guests
Miranda Kerr (Australian Victoria’s Secret model/“angel,” entrepreneur and wellness advocate; founder of Cora Organics, a certified organic clean-beauty brand; also an integrative nutrition–trained health coach). Host: Almost 30 Podcast interviewer.

Her voice and confidence come from heart-centered upbringing (“let your light shine”); motherhood intensifies empathic connection but requires neutrality; self-love is treating yourself like a child; certified organic is stricter than “clean,” verified by EcoCert Cosmos and EWG; Cora products are crystal-filtered (rose quartz and others) and include positive vibrational words on packaging.
Notable examples
She interviewed Bruno Mars by ignoring a restrictive question sheet; she prays with Archangel Michael; she uses minty mist with Palo Santo on kids to “reset energy”; she cites an 85% preference test for her plant stem cell retinol alternative over traditional retinol.

Transcript
Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:13Hi guys, welcome to Almost 30 Podcast. I'm so glad you're here. Today is such a treat. I sat down with Miranda Kerr, who we all know in my generation as a original Victoria's Secret super model. And let me tell you, this woman is an angel. I mean, in this conversation, you're going to hear us talk about spirituality. We do talk about angels. We talk about some of her spiritual practices, her energetic hygiene. We talk about her being an empath, how she navigates motherhood as someone that's so deeply sensitive, how she navigates being a public figure as someone that's so deeply sensitive. And I think you guys are really going to like this one.
0:52I was so surprised because I've always known her as someone that's really beautiful and well-spoken and all of that. But being able to spend time in this conversation and then even time before with her and really realize like how special of a woman she is and how much of a soul she is that's on a mission, it was such a gift. And I think that's been one of the best parts of my work interviewing some of the most powerful, influential people in the world is when you get the chance and opportunity to meet someone that is incredibly in their heart. And she references the heart quite a bit in this conversation.
1:29She references being a good person. She references her light. And what I find so exciting about that is that in the world today where we have more women that are owning companies, CEOs, entrepreneurs, this is why we need women. Because women are founders that create businesses from love and with intention and with this heart-centered element that she very much has with Cora Organics, her company that is a clean beauty line. It's certified organic. It's the only one in Sephora that is certified organic. And it's honestly incredible. She uses crystals in the process. She's very intentional. She has a word on each of the bottles that infuses the product with that word.
2:13As an example, the foaming cleanser has the word clarity on it, which is just so incredible. And I think for anyone that is interested in health and wellness and entrepreneurship, interested in spirituality, this is going to be such a fun one. It was like two girlfriends talking about things that are meaningful to us and deeply spiritual. And also Miranda got a little emotional. There was a moment that you'll see where she got a little teary eyed thinking about her mother and her mother raising her. So please enjoy this conversation with myself and Miranda Kerr, Australian model, entrepreneur, wellness advocate, and founder of the brand Cora Organics.

I'm so happy to have you. Thanks for having me. I feel so lucky that we've been able to have like 45 minutes with you and your team. Yes. And being able to see you just cruise and like move through your day. And you have this like supernatural ability of being like clear and direct, but also very grounded and kind. Oh, thank you. And you're very vocal and you definitely have a voice. And I was listening to an interview that you did recently when you talked about your journey of being a model of first being a face and then having a voice.
4:01Exactly. And I would love to hear about your journey to finding your voice. Cause a lot of women right now want to find their voice. They want to be more expressed. They want to be more direct and more clear. And I know that's a huge reason why you're so successful, but can you talk about your journey with your voice? Yeah. I mean, interesting that I grew up singing with my grandma by the piano, speaking about voice. And my grandmother has, well, had such a beautiful voice. And she also spoke her truth and she did it in a way that was direct heart-centered um so you knew what she was thinking right and so the women around me like my grandmother and my mother I grew up with very strong voices and in different ways like my mom would be very vocal about you know how what she thought and she and she's like quite a business woman an entrepreneur herself and my grandmother was just an incredible homemaker and was very vocal about like I would sit with her and I would ask her advice on so many things when it comes to life and I would ask her about her childhood and how that impacted her and I feel that really influenced me and my mom would always say to me let your light shine so like shine your light it's really all about what's on the inside that matters the most and that really helped me channel my voice because I knew that it was all about my heart and you can channel you know from your heart through your voice and so with modeling obviously as I was saying you have more of a face and then when I became a Victoria's Secret angel I was able to have a voice and when I started working with Victoria's Secret just like they started putting me in front of the camera and it just came very naturally because I felt confident in who I was on the inside and that's what was coming through and so whenever the press would come around they'd be like send them to Miranda and I'd be like just like on the feet like just I remember one time they were like Miranda you have to interview Bruno Mars and I was like cool okay I always have felt from a young age like very much like it wouldn't matter if I'm talking to someone and interviewing someone or having a conversation with someone on the street or if it was the queen herself I would treat them with the same respect and that's the way I was raised and so when they and everyone's a human being and so I've always had that feeling and like the thing about being human is that everyone wants to feel understood and accepted and if you have that kind of understanding then you can really connect with people and we're also interconnected so yeah I interviewed um Bruno Mars and I remember getting a sheet beforehand from his team saying you're only allowed to answer ask these questions don't ask this don't ask that and I was like oh okay literally like and he walked in like you know, a minute later and I was like, oh, okay.
7:28And then I was like, but I wanted to be really real and connect with him. And so I just spoke to him and I actually didn't go off the sheet at all. I just had a real live conversation with him and it was a really fun interview. And I got to learn, you know, a lot about him and that he grew up playing so many instruments and yeah, it was just, it was fun. It was probably refreshing for him too. you know, to be able to be himself and just be grounded. And, but he didn't really know what I was going to come out with next. He was like, this is not the question. Yeah. I think like in your journey, it just seems like your family was so incredible and so instrumental.
8:10And you don't often hear about people having really amazing families. I feel like nowadays it's like part of the cultural conversation to have like issues with your family, like struggling growing up and just how spiritual your family was and like the anchor of your own essence almost of like you being a good person you being at your core like besides saying is it shine your light yeah shine a little light yeah my mom actually had that embroidered on a pillow shine your light and it's just about and she would also say to me if you're going to do something like do it properly like do it with your whole heart or don't do it at all.
8:49So like multiple times throughout the day, that's running through my head. Like, it's just like, it's there. It's like, if I'm going to do something, I do it with my whole heart. I'm really in the moment. I'm really in it. And that's the way I live my life. And I try to teach my children the same thing. Yeah. Cause it's like with the heart and then with just the intention. I know your dad was someone that read a lot of positive mindset books, you know, was it, um, how to win friends and influence people and things like that. What was some of the other things that they taught you that you realize now has been like an instrumental part of you and your success?
9:25So my parents have been together since they were teenagers. So, and they're like more in love now than I would say they've ever been. They've been through so much together and they're such a good example of that kind of like, cause I've seen them through many different stages right and they had me my mom was 17 almost 18 when she gave birth to me bless yeah so she was young totally super young herself and so I have young parents they were learning how to navigate life as I was had come into their life which is why my grandmother also played such an instrumental role in raising me and my parents obviously worked really hard they were always very loving very kind wanting to be the better version of themselves and they still are like that and we're very close and I'm so blessed that we spend at least six months of the year together with them and my kids get to have that experience with young grandparents like the kids jump on my dad's back and like when my kids are jet lagged my you know last time when we're in Paris and um they were jet lagged and my seven-year-old couldn't sleep and my mom's like don't worry just let him come and talk to me and he like had these precious moments with my mom when he was jet lagged and they were just talking and it's something that like I'll get teary about because like she's almost having like that connection that obviously she wanted to have with me as a child, right, but she's having it now through the grandchildren.
11:14And like I'll get teary because she wanted to have that experience with me obviously but she was not only was she studying after school, she was working when, you know, during the day and then she would go to university at night. Wow. So she didn't really have any other choice then. And I'm blessed that I'm able to have my own business and work from home and be there for my children and prioritize my family. She didn't have that privilege. And so now being a mother myself, I really have so much compassion. Now I'll get teary. but like have so much compassion for her and so many mothers out there that really are feeling challenged by having you know their business and their work and also being a mother or a parent
12:06yeah for your mom like when she was working so hard and you were you know a little girl and you were like, you know, did you feel like, like how, how did that impact you? Did you kind of want more time from her or did you feel like? I wanted her to be there at school and when I had school things, when it was like a carnival or there was something happening at school, but she wasn't, she wasn't able to be there, unfortunately. And, um, that's why I'm really like making sure that I'm there for my kids just because I'm kind of like like whenever the email comes in and say does a parent want to sign up for this I'm like oh I'm gonna be the first parent they're like there's only three spots left oh there's Miranda again they're like she comes out everything everything um are your kids yet like mom no they love it they love it but it's just you know it's different and as I said I feel like I had so much love from my parents and so much fun and I remember going to the grocery store with my mom and it was one of my favorite experiences like going to get groceries and she would some she was very playful and my dad's very playful so she would follow me around with like an artichoke like in the house like I was like okay it's funny because you're like best memory of my life that's really fun and then on the way home you know you had the trolley and we didn't live very far from the supermarket so she would put us push us home in the trolley and she was like a kid herself so she would be like running and like spinning us around in the trolley as kids with all the groceries in it yeah and it's like now I'd be like oh careful of the eggs don't want to smash the eggs yeah you're like can't be doing that but um that I remember a lot like just the fun memories of that and you know my grandmother was there to pick us up after school and she also babysat other like my cousins so I had this kind of um community of like cousins and other kids that my grandma would babysit and we'd all play together after school and it was really fun and we didn't grow up with much I grew up you know very humble beginnings my parents bought like the cheapest house in one of the smallest country towns in Australia but we just had a lot of love yeah and my grandma had this generosity of spirit and that's what I feel like is so important and matters the most like no matter what and of course I'm very fortunate myself with my life and I've been able to work really hard and and invest my money into my own business and take care of myself and I've been really independent my whole life um but I know that if it was you know for whatever reason things were taken away from me I would be okay and good with like very humble beginnings because I had that growing up and I feel that that's really what matters the most is like the connection you have with someone and the love that you have, you know, it's not about things.
15:25It's about people. And presence. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it's a reminder that whatever you're going through, you don't have to go through it alone. Life has seasons. We know this. Some feel really grounded and others can feel overwhelming, especially when you're carrying things quietly in your own head. I think there are always things that keep us up at night. You know, I'm, I've got a few of those right now, big decisions, transitions, relationships, work, and it's easy to feel like we're supposed to figure it all out ourselves, but no one has all the answers.
16:07That's the truth. Having someone to talk to, who's there to listen and support can make a huge difference. And therapy can be a space to sort through what's coming up. 16:47That's betterhelp.com slash almost 30. One thing I really try to stay consistent with is my morning routine. Even when my schedule gets really busy or I'm traveling, which I'm doing next week, I really like to have something to help me start my day feeling really good, really healthy. And for me, the challenge is doing that even when I'm on the go. But I have been loving and saying this from the rooftops, cachava. Their new travel packs make it so easy to throw a pack into my bag and still have my favorite all-in-one nutrition shake wherever I am, whether I'm heading to the studio or traveling to LA like I am next week or just running between things.
17:26It really helps me keep that ritual of nourishing myself without overthinking it. Each packet has plant-based protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, greens, probiotics, omegas, and electrolytes all in one simple shake. And it's delicious. I also love that it supports things like energy, digestion, and overall wellness, and it actually tastes really good. So the travel packs come in flavors like chocolate, vanilla, matcha, chai, coconut, acai, and strawberry. So it's really easy to switch it up. I love the chocolate. I love the strawberry. It just makes staying consistent feel very effortless for me, which I need in this season of my life, even when my routine changes or it's all over the place.
18:07So take your daily ritual with you. Go to cachava.com and use code almost 30 for 15 % off your first order. That's cachava, K-A-C-H-A-V-A.com. Code is almost 30. And being present. And like attunement. And also play for me is like a love language. Oh, same. Like play is like - Playfulness. Playfulness is just everything. Like, cause I would think about love and I think about it. I'm like, what is love to me? You know what I mean? Like the action and verb of love. What does that mean to me? It is playfulness. It's presence. It's like attunement. And I think a lot of women, you know, I have so many friends that have kids and are mothers and I know that it is such a beautiful and challenging journey and God, seeing the stretch that it kind of brings you through and even seeing you get emotional thinking about being a mother and having four boys is crazy.
19:02That's so cool. I love it. What is something that like has surprised you about motherhood? Like before you had, you know, Flynn or before you started this process, like you had an idea of motherhood. What was that? And then what has it actually been like? Um, you know, it's something that you can't wrap your head around until you have children that it's just your heart is always connected to them it's like my heart and my nervous system is consistently like checking in with them and feeling like oh how are they doing like yeah after this I'm going to take my two-year-old for his first dentist appointment and I'm already like oh like okay I'm gonna just be there for him and you know guide him through it and and but as a parent you feel whatever they're feeling so so intensely.
19:55And then my teenager who's 15 has like a big math test tomorrow. And so I'm like, I'm very empathetic as it is. And then being a mother on top of being an empath, it takes you like so deep into the feelings. So I'm like, okay, but it's just like, you know what? I, at the same time, you have to be, um, a neutral space for them. Mm-hmm. You've mentioned before you're an empath and we were even talking upstairs for someone that's such a big public figure. You have a big life you've had, you know, you were just, you've been a supermodel. You've been in high profile relationships. You've been around a lot of people and a lot of energy.
20:37What was the first time you realized that you were sensitive to energy and what's your process been like for that? Because a lot of women that are listening, I'm an empath are deeply sensitive and feeling, and sometimes it can really take you out. So how have you navigated it? Oh, it's a daily practice. I know. And as we were saying earlier, we both meditate and kind of, I want to remain open hearted. Right. And, um, and so connecting with myself daily with my meditation is something that I really find instrumental for me. And also when I go through that process, I can really acknowledge like what's mine and what's other people's smart love that and one thing that I've actually recently learned which has been really important is that some people there are a lot of people that aren't as compassionate or empathetic as maybe you might be and that's okay there's no judgment but you need to learn to put an invisible shield around you a clear one so that whatever they say just bounces off the shield if it's not and you'll be able to feel because you're empathetic if it's not in the best interest of you um but it's really lovely and so rewarding to connect with people who are also empathetic because there's an exchange of energy the way that it should be of like connectedness because I really believe we're all so interconnected and so it's wonderful when you can have that and you have an alignment with someone and the energy is moving through you as it should.
22:13But some people can drain you when you're an empath. And so it's important to understand that and put that barrier up and not let it drain you. And I also pray to Archangel Michael to protect me and guide me. It's funny. When we were sitting down, I was like, oh, she's got angels. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's cool. There's very angel energy. Yeah, that's nice. And Michael's such a nice protective energy to work with. Archangel Michael. Archangel Michael. Raphael. Gabriel. Raziel. Boreal. Metatron. Yes, Metatron. All the boys. All of them. All the boys, yeah. Yeah, exactly. And Mary. Oh, my gosh. Mother Mary.
22:55Say. The divine mother love. And you know what recently I've been doing is it happened a lot during my meditation, and maybe you might find it useful. I've been, as the age I am now, looking at myself and it started like looking at the younger version of myself and kind of being loving and compassionate the way I am to other people towards myself. Huge. Huge. Huge. Shelf love. And I've not had that before. Like it's interesting because I'm about to be 43. so how come I can be so compassionate and loving towards other people but actually and I thought I was towards myself but actually are you and so this visualization has helped me be loving and compassionate towards myself and hold that space for that person who has held the space for so many others oh and that's that is like a highest self experience because it's the highest self is watching you.
23:58Cause if you had an angelic presence or a highest self that was like, Oh my God, this human is trying so hard. She's doing so much. She loves so deeply. And I've always felt like in my process, it's like cultivating the inner mother, like the inner, like the mother that would be so loving to me in the process. Like this is a silly example, but I had this trip I went on and it was a really long travel day. I didn't pack any food for some reason. So when I landed, I had to eat like just shit from the airport. And I was like, if I was a mother to myself, I would pack amazing nourishing lunches and meals.
24:30And it's like when you can treat yourself as you would your child, your child. And that is like such an important lesson to learn. Huge, huge. And I, it's, and it's, it's so funny because self-love is, is that simple sometimes. I think sometimes the concept of self-love, I think when I was in the process, I thought it was self-care. yeah I was like self-love is a bubble bath it's getting a massage it's like doing things but it's actually more than that it's actually not yeah you're with the self-love journey even like for you being a model like being someone that is in front of the camera is scrutinized like there's body stuff I'm sure how have you dealt with that because that must be tough at times for the even a woman as confident and stunning and amazing as you to have that sort of experience?
25:20Like, what is your self-love journey been like? Well, I think that models are the most critical on themselves and you're constantly being compared to someone else. So it's like, you might not have this. You didn't get that job because you were too short or too tall, or you were too, you know, too, you know, too this or too that. So it's like, oh, okay. I didn't get it because of that. I all because of your physical and it's like okay that's there is an art that I admire about the industry when you can get together with creative individuals and you can create and you and you work with fashion and you work with you know great artists who can transform something into something really beautiful and creative that is very different to the scrutiny that you can project upon yourself and others can project on you being in the industry and so I take it back to my mother and being like just let your light shine and don't take it personally and and you know at the end of the day what matters most is that you're a kind person and and if this opportunity comes great and if it doesn't there'll be something better for you and to try and put things into perspective that way.
26:41And my mum, being an accountant by trade, really encouraged me to save my money and then have my own business because both of my parents had their own businesses. And so I was able to have like a goal of like let's just make honey while, not make honey, let's just make hay while the sun shines and then let's save our money and put it into a business like create something that you're really passionate about what truly moves you and motivates you which I was able to do with Cora Organics um and you know it's been so rewarding being able to do that so for so long I kept saying like I just you know and I I didn't know if I was going to work tomorrow or the next state.
27:29Like it was just like, you just make the money while you can, you save the money, you meet creative people, you travel the world, you see it as an experience. And then what you do is you, you know, you turn that into something that you're really passionate about. And what that was, I was fortunate to be able to do that. But not everyone's as lucky as that. I understand. Yeah. I think luck is something, but it's also like, I do feel like, and I'm curious if this feels true for you. It does feel like there is a core essence of your soul that knows where it's going and has been guiding and directing you throughout your path.
28:04Oh yeah. My intuition is very strong. Yes. So for instance, when I develop a product, it's not really based on trends or anything. It's based on what I intuitively feel that is something that is like, it's like a message coming through. And it's not really about me. It's like, I'm a vessel to channel that message. And as I was saying, like my grandmother, she was reading the Bible to me from a young age and talking to me about God and things like that. So I have had that understanding and it's evolved into, obviously, I still pray every day and I still believe in God and read the Bible. But I also have, you know, added to that the meditation practice and a spirituality practice that has expanded what my the little seed that my grandmother planted from a young age.
28:58it's such a gift you know I grew up Catholic and I'm not Catholic anymore but I'm grateful for the foundation of it had damages to it but I guess I'm grateful for the foundation of there's something outside of you bigger than you bigger than you yeah that's guiding you directing you that's collaborating with you yeah and then you know when I found like mysticism and spirituality outside of religion it was just like well like with angels even I remember because in the Catholic church, it was kind of like angels were only accessible, like through God and the church. Like it wasn't like they're accessible to me.
29:30And then when I realized it could be a part of my experience in my life to pray with them and work with them, like what, you know, it just opens up so much. With your intuition, how do you connect with it? Because there's a lot of women that want to connect more deeply. Like do you have a practice or a ritual that helps you really get in that channel to like find and create a product as an example? I've been practicing meditation since I was 17 and yoga. And that helps me personally get in the zone. Like everyone has their own way to get to their deepest part of themselves. Some people find it through running.
30:04Some people find it through writing. Some people find it through dance. Yeah. I do love to dance. I do too. Love that. I was dancing on Saturday. We were just like, me and my girlfriends were like, we needed this. And we had videos of us. We're like, we don't even dance. We just like jump. Yeah, you just like express yourself and like music has a frequency and it can really help elevate your spirit. And I love to turn the music on with the kids and literally just dance around, have dance parties. They love it. Got dreams. And sometimes you get glow sticks involved. And that's fun. Like coolest mom.
30:38It's fun. Like that's like. And I'm the mom that jumps on the bed with my kids. Like. The wild one. I can be more wild than my kids. Really? What are they saying? They're like mom. No, just like, they're like, really? We're allowed to do that? I'm like, yeah, come on, let's go. Yeah, let's party. Yeah. Although my six-year-old is pretty wild. My husband says he's the most like me. Is he? Yeah. He's a free spirit. Yes. He's a free spirit. And he also has a voice. And he uses it. Okay, one thing that's really shifted for me during pregnancy is how intentional I've become about what I'm putting in my body.
31:17I've always been like that, but I don't know, just like it's a little bit more serious every time. I'm paying more attention to ingredients, sourcing, and choosing products that align with the standards I am holding right now. That's why I've been using Rituals Essential Prenatal. It helps me feel supported without overthinking, and I love that it's vegan, non-GMO, gluten, and major allergen-free, and made without synthetic colorants. It also includes key nutrients like choline, folate, and omega-3. We know this is very important in pregnancy with traceable ingredients, which I really, really appreciate.
31:55The experience has also been different from other prenatals I've tried. The capsule is designed to dissolve later, which I've noticed. Like I personally found it's really gentle on my stomach and it's easy to take consistently. I also like that Ritual uses bioavailable nutrients designed for absorption and that their essential prenatal is backed by a human clinical study that just gives you more confidence in what I'm taking during the season. There's a lot of prenatals out there, so I highly recommend Ritual. Don't settle for less than evidence-based support. Save 25 % on your first month at ritual.com slash almost 30.

34:09Are you people surprised to find that you have such a voice? Sometimes because you're like just supermodel so beautiful like are they surprised when like you talk and you work that they're like this woman like knows what she wants knows where she's going yeah maybe there's a preconceived idea about models obviously not being that smart. I don't know if it's smart it's just almost like quiet because you kind of just like you're a face you kind of like pushed around to places put things on but it also teaches you a lot of patience Oh, interesting. I have a lot of patience. And that was learned. Interesting.

34:38I didn't, I wasn't born patient. Did you always know that you were like made for more in life? Like growing up in a small town, like where you grew up, were you like, I know that I came here to do something. I know I came here for a big life because. I did feel there was magic in my heart. Wow. From like a young age, like I felt there was something magic and I just felt it was inside of everyone because everyone does have that magic. You just have to get quiet enough to hear it. So there was magic inside my heart and I used to, you know, be outside and be climbing the trees and my grandpa would bring home because he would move houses and he would bring home these big geode crystals and they just lit me up.
35:20Like internally I was connected to these crystals. My grandma didn't care less about them. She was like, oh, you can have them. and we put them all underneath the willow tree that I would climb as a kid. So they were like all around the willow tree. And I just created my own little magic world. And so I just was living in the moment, enjoying that magic. And then, you know, I went to the next magic and, and it just evolved. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. It's cool. Like when you see kids do stuff, that's like, that's an altar. Exactly. You know, you're like, oh, that's an altar. That's like a ritual. My six-year-old is obsessed with crystals and he naturally gravitates towards crystals.
36:01It's like he sees their magic because he has that magic inside of them. You know, everything's an energy. How do you use crystals in your products? Oh, so all my products are filtered through crystals in the manufacturing process. So from day one, they've all been filtered through and touched upon rose quartz crystals, every single one of my products. So they have that uplifting, nurturing, self-love energy. And that was back in 2006 when I decided to start the range 20 years ago. So yeah, it's been there. And it was before clean beauty was a thing and we're certified organic beauty, which is way beyond clean.
36:43Say more about that. Cause I think people, I'd like, I want to talk about that for a second, because I think people in the space don't understand what clean is, don't understand what organic is don't really understand what's sort of going on yes how crazy it is very confusing it's meant to be confusing yeah so tell break those down a little bit okay so and just before i start that i want to say that we also use other crystals so in the turmeric range we not only use rose quartz but we use citrine because it's like the turmeric color and then in the milky mushroom range we use clear quartz and we use aquamarine in the minty mist range and then we use uh amethyst in the retinol alternative range so it's like there's like double crystals in most of them but then the non-englow face oil is just all rose quartz so and then we have like a little rose quartz rollerball for instance on the eye roller and then we have ever like you're crazy i'm sure I was way ahead of my time but I just felt like this was my heart that I was wanting to create it was definitely a channeled thing I still to this day haven't taken a cent out of the company this is something I believe people deserve because it's not available I don't know another product that comes anywhere close to being as pure and potent as my products and we're results driven and because the certified organic ingredient contains up to 60 % more antioxidants than a non-certified organic ingredient so you think of that 60 % more antioxidants therefore you're getting an abundance more antioxidants when you apply it to your skin your skin is your largest organ antioxidants help your skin glow that's why people eat certified organic and not only that it's threefold you're not just getting an abundance of antioxidants you're also getting um not getting the unnecessary chemicals sprayed on the actual crops and then you're not getting unnecessary chemicals in the final formulation that then gets absorbed onto your skin you're getting pure and potent ingredients and that's why the before and afters and all of our results blow people away that is mind-blowing because they're like i can't believe i can get such incredible results like from using certified organic products and i'm like well it's quite logical really yeah totally because you're getting the highest potency of antioxidants and so if you're clean you're not getting certified organic right you're just getting a product where a company says we're clean so we avoid these six nasty ingredients okay well read what do does it include include but everyone's so busy they're like oh it's clean it's good for me sure maybe it might be better than not clean but how actually clean is it and where's the regulation behind it and that's why I wanted to be certified organic from day one because it's not me that's doing all you know all of the regulation it's an outside body of EcoCert Cosmos which is a world certification who comes and vets every single thing that we do every single ingredient where it's sourced every single you know all of our manufacturing everything every word I write on the back of the packaging has to be vetted by EcoCert Cosmos to be verified and on top of that we're obviously verified by EWG we're also pregnancy safe and we're a climate neutral brand as well so all these things were important to me and I wanted to incorporate it into one brand and it is really hard to be certified organic that's why we're still the only certified organic complete range that Sephora carries um worldwide wow so people are like oh organic yeah there's plenty no actually there's not wow so and is it it's really hard to be certified organic is it specifically cost that people or just like all of it?
40:51It's cost, it's time, it's limited supply. Wow. And I wanted this for myself and my family. That's why I created these products because my mom had tumors in her spleen. So as a family, we had to look at everything that we were using on our skin and, you know, on our - Glad you were open to that, your family. Yeah. Well, she had to be. I mean, in a time of crisis, you look at these things. Totally. And so then we wanted to find certified organic products that were effective. We couldn't find them. So I spoke to my friend. I created them myself for myself and my family. First up, when we started getting incredible results, I was like, wow, I need to share this with the world.
41:33Everyone deserves this kind of skincare. So it's almost like a passion project for me. I've never seen it from a business mind, which is not necessarily great, but it's something that I just feel intuitively like people deserve this type of quality of skincare and that's why the company is still 95 % mine I have a 5 % investor from day one so this is my company this is my baby it's my yeah I think that um when people educate themselves they wouldn't really want to use anything else to be honest if you really read the ingredients
42:15I love finding simple swaps that make everyday meals feel a little more supportive of my goals, especially when I don't want to give up the foods I actually enjoy. That's why I have been loving, obsessed with Hero Bread. It lets me keep things like sandwiches, wraps, even pasta nights without feeling like I'm sacrificing anything. And I'm at a point right now in pregnancy where I'm not restricting, but I also don't want to be overdoing it on like the gluten and the pastas and all the things. Hero Bread makes it easy and I feel amazing after eating their products. The taste and texture are what surprised me most, honestly.
42:54Their products are soft, fluffy, honestly feels like traditional bread. I love the tortillas for easy lunch wraps and their sliced bread for quick breakfast sandwiches. I also love their bagels. Every single morning, my son asked for the bagel. He loves them. And then I've been making him the noodles as well. So it really covers all those comfort food staples. I'm excited for you to try. Nutritionally, it fits really seamlessly into my family's routine. Depending on the product, it has zero to five net carbs, zero grams of sugar, and 11 to 32 grams of fiber. It also has protein too. I'm a girl that's been trying to get my protein and my fiber at the same time.
43:31So I am killing it with Harrow bread. and you really wouldn't know that it is this healthy based on the texture and the taste. So Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order. Go to hero.co and use the code A30POD at checkout. That's A30POD at H-E-R-O dot C-O. Yeah, I think people, it's such a bummer that nowadays people have to be diligent and hyper vigilant about everything. Like it's such a bummer that people are being lied to. Yep. Misconstrued, misled. And it's all about money. All about money, about food, skincare, everything. It's like, it kind of, it makes me sad if I think about it for too long, because it's like the consumer wants to do well.
44:17Yeah. They want to do well by the environment. They want to do well by other people. They want to do well by themselves, their families and their families and the fact that it's like it's okay to mislead people with your packaging your branding your label and like that there's so many weird loopholes and there's so many weird like natural flavors uh the word natural it's not it's it's not it's natural flavors are not okay natural flavors are not okay and it's like but but you would see that and say well that's fine and you're like it's natural it's natural what was your was your mom's tumors that got you on this clean path?
44:52Or was it like, what was, what was the, cause a lot of people like clean beauty, but not in this way where you're like, no, like this is like next level. Like what was your journey to being someone that was like, no, it needs to be like this. Uh, it definitely was sparked by my, my mother's journey. And then in addition to that, my grandmother taking it back to her, she would give me noni juice every day, like a little 30 mil of noni juice. And it was an antioxidant um superfood super fruit and it really helped and so if i had any like pimples she'd be like put the noni on the pimple or uh sunburn she like put the noni on the sunburn it would just like soothe my skin so much so i wanted noni to be a key ingredient in every single product throughout the range and then obviously we use other ingredients in other products like the turmeric for its anti-inflammatory um benefits and then the acai and the plant stem cell retinols Like, you know, there are so many incredible ingredients that I believe in beauty internally and externally that like I really wanted to provide for people.
46:01But I just feel like if you can get incredible results from using these products without compromising your health, then why wouldn't you? So it's like a no brainer. for instance we asked diehard retinol fans we specifically gave them the retinol alternative serum and then we also have a moisturizer as well and we gave it to them and said just use this you know twice a day morning and night for four weeks and let us know do you prefer your results you get from your traditional retinol or this or do you get better results you know from in traditional retinol it was 85 said they got more powerful results from using our plant stem cell retinol alternative and that's for fine lines for wrinkles um texture all the things that people use the retinol without the irritation without the dryness without the unnecessary chemical exposure so it really is incredible people you know that are wanting to address like pore minimized this is our niacinamide alternative serum it's a turmeric glow drops um i mean this turmeric foaming cleanser there it one of those cells every nine minutes wow because people are obsessed with that so it cleanses your skin without stripping your skin everyone needs a cleanser right and it is such a sensorial experience so all my products they use essential oils for the therapeutic benefit and also the skin benefits so when you're in the shower and you're using these oils you feel like you're at a spa speaking of feeling like you're at a spa and needing less facials when it was during covid i realized i didn't really need to get as many facials because i had this product the turmeric brightening and exfoliating mask it literally is like a facial in a tube so this product is good for all skin types my husband uses it my son who's 15 uses it and all his friends and I use it and I use it and it is my husband has like dry skin I have more of an oily combination skin and then my son obviously has like acne prone skin being a 15 year old and it really helps all of us in different ways like I use it in the shower as an exfoliation I use it like you know every other day and then I'll apply it once a week for like deeply detoxifying masks so remember how you would use to put on like a glam glow mask and then you would feel it like pulling out the impurities that's what this does you leave it on as a mask and then you feel it like drawing out the impurities and then afterwards your skin's kind of like flushed and like in a really good way and vibrant and the circulation has been brought to the surface and you feel really it's instantly brighter after just one use of the turmeric scrub so that was a product i worked on for a long time obviously we have a certified organic sunscreen which is amazing and i even use that hard to find organic sunscreen it's so hard why is that um because it took us like over five years to develop this and it's this we use um a non-nano zinc oxide smart and so it's there is a certain amount of minerals that you're allowed to have to be certified organic.
49:18Oh, interesting. So it was, it was tricky to get this and to be able to get the sun protection that you need, but you see the glow that you get from that. And then sometimes I really, even at nighttime, so I'll use this as like a bit of a primer because it gives you the most beautiful glow and it can, you can even apply it on top of makeup, like throughout the day to kind of reapply your sunscreen if you need to. and it gives you that instant kind of glow. Wow. And it's the same with this. I know I'm getting very excited here, but I'm like, oh, my babies. Let me talk about my other babies. I think we used that one before to clear our energy.
49:56The minty mist. So you can use this throughout the day. And sometimes I spread on my kids because it's got Palo Santo in there to clear your energy and just kind of reset your energy. And I love that. I love that for the kids too. yes that's also kind of fun for like a kid to be like okay you're in a bad mood we're just going to clear your energy yeah let's just do a little reset let's do a little reset yeah love that and it also resets and refreshes your skin refreshes your makeup and you use it as a toner as well oh i can't so it's multi-purpose these are staying with me yeah and this one i keep by the bed it's a milky mushroom hydration mask this is like a secret that i feel like it doesn't get as much love as it needs.
50:35It plumps your skin overnight. It really, you wake up and your skin is glowing, or you can use it as a quick flash hydration mask, like before a red carpet or before an event, you want to just do a quick mask for five, 10 minutes. It plumps, it has the hyaluronic acid in there. It gives your skin that beautiful bouncy glow. But if you put it on every night, you wake up with a beautiful bouncy glow every day. As like a moisturizer? As like the last step, I do my moisturizer, I do my face oil, I keep this next to the bed, I put like a very clear, uh, sheer layer like on your skin and then it locks in the moisturizer.
51:12Like it dries, it locks everything in. You wake up in the morning and your skin is just like buttery. So and the fine lines are improved. It's interesting. I, and don't even get me started on that body oil. Yeah. You're like, we don't have time where there's body oil. that one's also sold out a lot yeah yeah I think it might have just come back in stock this body oil is the most luxurious oil you will ever experience in your life it smells like it just smells like a beautiful garden of roses it smells like heaven scent and the energy you feel when you apply it to your body it feels like a loving beautiful energy oh and on the back of every one of my products, there's a positive word because of Dr.
51:58Masaru Emoto, his theory of every word is vibrational energy. And so I wanted to uplift every product with a positive word. So on the body oil, it has confidence. Wow. So that when you're applying it, and then on the face oil, it has bliss. So you're applying it and you're like, oh, bliss, you know, and you're just like in that beautiful, you know, these are, I like the 360 approach to health and wellness. And I studied at integrative nutrition, so I'm a certified health coach. So I'm very passionate about it. And they're all about the 360 approach. And so I wanted to incorporate that into my products as well.
52:39And I love to, it's like so beautiful to see women just doing things in such a different way. And the women that are building businesses now are like so thoughtful and mindful and giving back and good to the teams and good to the environment. Like it's like a 360 approach. Yes. A hundred percent. Even like the word on the back. It's like, yeah, I think intentional. This is inspiring for a lot of women listening. Cause I think a lot of women feel like they can't necessarily be their spiritual, deep sensitive selves in business. And they can't be someone that like deeply loves their children, deeply feels connected to family and still has a business that feels soulful and aligned and like connected.
53:18And I think it's so helpful to hear your story about how you are someone that is like channeling something that is good, like doing this out of the desire that you originally had for something that you needed. And then you wanted to share it. And I think when we move from that place of like inspired action and inspiration and something that is like truthfully aligned to us, we get as excited as you do talking about it. We know it's like for the greatest good and we can also be super creative in the process. Yeah. I love the creative process. I love designing like the new products and the packaging and working with some of the best chemists in the world to create these products and going back and forth and being like, well, from my experience, I feel like this type of finish looks the best on your skin underneath makeup, or this is what you need.
54:01You know, like the exfoliation process before you apply your makeup is, makes the skin glow even more. And it makes the products sink in even deeper. And like, I don't know, it's, it's fun to be able to collaborate and be creative um speaking of creative I just designed this new collection with um Michael Hill Jewelry which is the little heart and the little heart earrings so I love it it's a collection it's called from my heart to yours you're like me yeah you're like you know me you know girl in her heart just girl in her heart over and you got to design that and I got to design that so I love like creatively expressing myself actually I bought you a teacup as well because I designed a line, two different lines for Royal Albert teacups.
54:45One is with peonies and butterflies, which I designed like a long time ago, like before Flynn was born. And another one which I just designed. Yeah. Another one I designed was just recently and it just launched the Australiana collection. So it has Australian like flora and fauna in there. And it's just like, it's beautiful. Like it has the wattle and there is like a cockatoo and it's just like really beautiful, like the birds. and the beautiful florals.
55:17Okay, for my last few questions. No, I'm not going to literally. We're like, and then Angel Michael's right behind you. Yes, call on the angels. The angels will only come unless you ask for their help. That's 100 % agree. Yeah. That's free will, baby. Yeah. And I think angels too, you know this, but it's like the more you ask and the more you cultivate their relationship, like I felt like you have to continue to like ask. And I think a lot of people have different beings that they connect with. Like some people might, I had this girl the other day, one of my clients, and she's very fairies. Like she connects with like fairies.
55:48You know, like some people could have like different types of entities or beings, but angelic is like one of my favorite because it always feels clean, pure, helpful, supportive. Highest good. Highest good. And it can be a really beautiful process for any empaths. We were talking a little bit before and I wanted to like just ask on this, like, because this is almost 30 and I know you've gone through a process. So where were you when you were almost 30? I was living in New York. Were you in like a model apartment? What was your... No, no. I was living in New York. Flynn was two. Wow. So I had Flynn when I was 27.
56:20So when I was almost 30. Saturn return had started. Saturn return. New identity. Going through a separation with Orlando. Yes. We separated when I was 30. Wow. Yeah, the Saturn return was really intense for me. Did you feel like rock bottom moments ever? Oh, yeah, definitely. Yeah, I even spoke about this publicly that I went through after Orlando and I separated, I went through a moment like of like depression. And I actually never fully understood it when people said they were depressed until I fully went through it. And I was like, how do I get out? How do I get through this? especially as someone who's naturally a positive person, joyful person, looks on the bright side of things, has had these practices and tools like meditation to help me.
57:16But I felt like I was drowning and I was like, how do I get out? I just consistently kept up my practice and did a lot of prayer and self-reflection. And I eventually came through it but it took a lot of time yeah what was your depression like sleeping pulling away mine's always like everything's gray I just felt like not myself yeah I hear you I just felt like I had this beautiful child that I wasn't able to really connect and enjoy at that moment with because I felt so flat and I did just want to sleep a lot yeah I just wanted to sleep yeah and I was like, I need to get up. Like I didn't have the energy.
58:04I didn't have the vitality. I didn't have the enthusiasm for life. It was really challenging. Um, I did a lot of neurofeedback in that time. Smart. What is that? Uh, it, it, it look, goes onto your brain and helps rebalance the brain. Okay. Got it. Neurofeedback really helps with that. Um, I think checking your gut health at that time as well is super important because the gut is so connected to the brain and stress can really sabotage your gut and the cortisol. And even if you think maybe you're okay, there's a lot you're processing when you're going through a separation, you know, and you think your world is going and your direction of your life is going this way and then it ends up going this way.
58:51It's like a complete upheaval. So it changes. And so it's really important to be kind and gentle with yourself. so luckily now I'm much more kind and gentle with myself and compassionate and you know call on those angels last question what would you say just because being a mom of four and running a business and there's a lot of moms listening that like run businesses and they they kind of want to do it all I guess what would you say to any mom out there right now that feels like they're just over their had their leg in it? I would say, make sure that you take that time for you. For me, I really am like the, the really one incredible practice that helped me a lot is going to bed early and waking up early and going to dinner at like four 30 between four 30 and five.
59:49Hey man, That's my ideal time. Yeah. I've had dinner at three. Between 4.30 and 5. Love. So I can eat with the kids and then I can do the kids bedtime and I make sure that I try not, unless it's an emergency, to be on my phone after that because otherwise my mind gets really into solving problems and not connecting with my kids and I just want to connect with my kids. And so I've implemented that in the last six months and that's helped me settle and calm my nervous system to get to bed earlier. And then I wake up early between 4.30, between 4.30 and 5.30 every morning. So then I can do my meditation.
1:00:30I can do my breath work. I can do my skincare routine, really give back to myself before the kids wake up. And getting that morning sunlight is so important. Open the blinds, open the windows, get the sunlight on your eyes. Ideally, if you can put your feet in the grass, if you can't, that's okay. Just get a bit of sunlight in your eyes to help reset your circadian rhythm and be really kind to yourself like life isn't easy for anyone being human is hard so have compassion for yourself and let yourself feel whatever emotions you need to feel and know that you will get through it like it's like a wave you just got to ride that wave and feel it don't push it down because if you push it down it will inevitably come back.
1:01:16Our girls get that. Feel those feelings. Feel it. Yeah. This was so much fun. I'm so glad you got to come. I know. I'm so excited for people. I am like praying that you leave every product here. I'm leaving everything for you. And I've got more of you. I'm like, can we just head out? Thank you so much for coming. Almost 30.
