In short
Almost 30’s 10-year anniversary episode where Lindsay and Krista revisit their early “cringe” audio, interview each other with personal Q&A, and discuss growth, mission-driven business, and dating/marriage expectations. They also include listener “100s” (small wins), plus a guest caller segment and a brief psychic-style reading.
Guests / participants
No external guests are clearly introduced as guests; the main hosts are Lindsay Simpson and Krista Williams. A caller named Jacob (works in advertising at Facebook in Austin) joins by phone. A “Justin” is mentioned as Krista’s husband/partner, but he is not a guest.
Guest backgrounds (Jacob)
Works on the advertising side at Facebook Austin; discusses dating/marriage expectations and gender dynamics.
Key claims
Their business success came from staying attuned to a mission beyond themselves; change/rebranding was necessary. They argue against “if X happens, I’ll be happy” thinking (Buddhist “true happiness” vs conditional happiness). They emphasize early “hell yes/hell no” dating.
Notable examples
They play Episode 10 (“Let’s get personal”) and quote early catchphrases/voice issues; Krista shares all-girls school experiences and “dress code” stories; they debate a deal-breaker about a partner being fully shaved; Jacob comments on societal pressure for women to marry/have kids.

1:26You know who copied? The emoji creator. The brand hundreds. That is so true. I remember that copier.
1:46Hello, guys. Welcome to a very special episode of Almost 30. Almost 30.
1:52Lindsey Simcik:It's Lindsay and Krista celebrating our 10 years. Yeah. This year we are turning 10. September 2016 is when we launched. It's really crazy. Crazy and trippy. I can't believe it. I can and I can't, you know, like we've we've there's so much that has transpired over the years. and also I think the more unbelievable part is like I think about ourselves at that time in that age we never would have thought I never would have thought that we would be doing this 10 years later I know I don't know what I I not in a way that I'm like oh it's more like whoa like you yeah I don't know what it's weird though because I didn't have a vision I we're gonna hear on this episode but I don't know if I would have knew I was doing anything else like I didn't have any other it was so focused hyper focused on this but I didn't know if to think about anything else but I just think about I mean this time just trips me out like I just get so trippy but what's been beautiful about the process of almost 30 is like it's always felt like just a yes and then what's next yeah and you know it's funny as someone was asking me about what I what I'm looking for in my person and I said and this is so cute so I'm like not gonna look at you in the eye because it's too cute but I was like I wanted to feel like how it felt when I met Lindsay where it felt like it was like okay two souls it was like we were locked in and it didn't ever feel like this big thing but it felt like great now we know where to go like it felt like this easy movement forward of like our souls finally came together and now we're here and now we know the next step yeah of creating the business and that will be creating the life and the family and um yeah it's always just felt like a yes and it's always just felt like what's next and it's always felt like uh how do we figure this out instead of like how do we get out which people can do a lot in relationships um and even in the hard times you know at the beginning when we were kind of going through our own like shadow stuff of like building a business um it was always like okay how can we like figure this out yeah you know yeah there was never that urge to run away and I think so much of that I think we can attribute to like our own soul connection but then there was also like the entity of almost 30 that was like very powerful and guiding us and I think we've realized that even more in retrospect and we realize that today like I just think she continues and it sounds you know out there so if you're like who but she's really like so loyal to the mission and our community and evolving you know so if we look back 10 years we've changed so much so many times over we've allowed ourselves to change and I think it's because she really pushed us like it's time it's time to rebrand it's time to write the book yeah it's time to you know you know restructure the business yeah like there's been so many seasons of change and I think that has made us so practiced and like allowing it to happen being resilient in those times where it feels hard to change and staying connected through the change yeah i think when you have a mission-driven business or a mission-driven person you recognize that it's not just about you you recognize that it's about the work you're bringing into the world the you know message you're bringing into the world like i think about a lot of my friends and almost all my friends in their businesses it's like you know courtney it's like helping people live healthier lives, helping protect the environment from glyphosates, helping to do all these things.
5:59So it's not actually just about her as a person. For us, it's like helping people navigate times of change, helping people become who they are, helping people to like align to their souls. And so that's the important thing. So you have to kind of attune to that rather than like what, you know, you all the time where it's like, I would hate to be like an influencer that was just like me, my fashion, my like, you know, fashion's great. Like it makes people feel good. And there's always layers in depth to everything. But like, I'm very grateful that there has always been like the greater mission of almost 30.
6:29And it's helped. It's almost like in any relationship, like even in a marriage, you'd be like, okay, we're attuned to this union, the union at the center. We're attuned to this, like the greater force or the greater thing, attuned to God, you know, in other areas. It's like, how can we attune to the greater force rather than just us?
6:45Lindsey Simcik:Yeah, completely. So on that deep note, we wanted to listen back to some apps and we stumbled. Guys, we stumbled upon a gen. So literally I was the other day, I was trying to share how my voice has changed so much over the years in the past 10 years of doing the show. What's beautiful about having a podcast is you have this amazing opportunity to continue to renegotiate who you are based on what you're hearing. So I heard myself say, hell yeah, 400 times in the first year of the show, I would say, hell yeah, hell yeah. And hearing that, I could listen and I could leave it behind. And my voice has changed so much over the years.
7:31You would not recognize who I am. Same with you. That's the point. And in the process of listening to older episodes where I wanted to find my voice, we found an old episode of us. What's it called? It's called episode 10. Let's get personal. It's called episode 10. It's episode 10. Let's get personal. And like, it's funny. I just think that's so assumptive now where it's like, let's get personal.
7:54Lindsey Simcik:Like I think I want to play the, first of all, we have to like just reorient people to 10 years ago, 10 years ago. This is our intro. Okay. And how we introduce this episode. This cringy this is your cringe permission slip shall we
8:17Lindsey Simcik:welcome to almost 30 with krista williams and lindsey simpson each week we catch up with krista and lindsey to hear what's happening now what hilariousness happened in and to ask is it almost 30. Hey. Welcome to Almost 30, everybody. Good to love you guys. Good to feel you out there. Lindsay, you're so horny in this. Like, Lindsay is so horny in this. It's making me fucking cry. I'm like, I don't think you can have, I don't think your son can hear that.
8:53Lindsey Simcik:Oh, God. That's me having a voice. Yeah, that's true. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, that's, It's still raspy and I have like almost no voice. But at that time, that's me actually having a voice. So the OGs know Lindsay did not have a voice for the first. I taught SoulCycle 15 classes a week. It was ripping my voice to shreds. On top of that, I was probably like drinking. I was drinking on the weekends, just not taking care of my body. Okay. And get to know each other. Some of these things I feel like you might not know. I might not know about each other. Yeah. So we're going to use this episode to interview each other a little bit, ask a few questions.
9:32Each other? I'm going to ask a few questions about Lindsay. She's going to ask a few questions. We're going to ask some questions. Hopefully you get to know a little bit more about us, so that will be helpful as we continue this journey together of almost 30. Yeah. And we haven't told each other the questions. So there's this experience that empaths have called emotional contagion where we feel things so deeply. Right now, I honestly could vomit. my eyes are watering i have something in the back of my throat i'm so uncomfortable
10:00Lindsey Simcik:okay continue oh my god so this first part this first half is like you asking me questions okay um let's skip to because we said we're gonna ask each other questions because each other need to ask each other the question was like how did going to an all-girls school shape you oh interesting lindsey's friendship okay at least that was a deeper question than like i thought i was like where are you from oh that was the first question okay like where are you from and how did it showcasing my podcasting skills violently ripped me from public school and threw me into the slammer that was literally an all-girls school that felt like a prison i'm not joking it how many students 23 girls in my grade but like the actual school itself kind of looked like a prison reminds me of matilda yes but truly it became such a loving amazing place oh totally it was a prison but it was amazing and loving actually because because my my my internal self said what if anyone listens to oh my god literally it was an amazing loving place oh my god you said it was a prison then you the next sentence that is an amazing loving place when i went to visit um i really thought my parents were sending me somewhere like because i needed to be reformed and like become a lesbian that's so not true what did i say no i said i said that i thought my parents wanted me to send me wanted to send me there to be reformed to become a lesbian you said that that was just like a comedic like what was i trying to say that's not true that's i missed it there it's the opposite like the reformation would not be like reformation to being a lesbian gonna be out of it also like where are we recording yeah i know honestly 10 episodes in are we in the car i think we're in the car i think you're the microphone i think i'm in the back because i'm just like getting like bits in i'm not even i'm like i'm like was it matilda like i'm not like present.
12:06Lindsey Simcik:Also, early days, I mean, you're not interrupting, but we're literally just interrupting. It's like the commentary. Yes. Each other is like commenting on everything. I can't let you have a second. They put slop on your like cafeteria. Yes. Everything's great. Yeah. It was not bright. I'll say that. However, I probably learned about myself the most in high school. Yeah, that's because you're literally 25. I learned to be a friend. Yeah, seriously. I learned the most about myself as a friend, as like a fellow woman, a girl, to other women. Yeah, fuck yeah. Fuck yeah.
12:55Lindsey Simcik:Oh my God, I go fuck yeah. because i would never think of myself as like a victim you were there in seventh and eighth grade seventh through 12. true hell seventh and eighth grade with girls it was i went in and and i was best friends with this girl and quickly she turned on me and became like the ultimate bully granted this was in a bubble at an all-girls school that was very small but to me it literally affected my every day and mood and how I felt about myself. And it was hell for like two and a half years for sure. Me wanting space for ultimate trauma. And then I go into, I got my hair coat when I played Peter Pan.
13:36Lindsey Simcik:Okay. I think we're good on this one. Oh my God. Oh, fuck. Okay. Let's go to one of Krista's. Oh God.
13:47State your name. Krista Lynn Williams. Who gave you your name? My daddy. there was a hot girl in his college class her name was krista so i got the name krista wait i love that how did your mom feel about that i don't know she was into it it's like my name has always been like different because it's krista williams which is a yeah i love that oh really
14:05Lindsey Simcik:yeah oh just assume you're famous it's like a very like that's yeah fuck yeah i never even thought of that but now i will every time it's like krista it's like krista land like people always like i like is your name krista is your name krista for short is it crystalline not interesting none of this is interesting yeah i love it i like met one other krista in my life really she played soccer like digging its teeth into this fucking tampon she couldn't get it out and i was crying jesus christ did it come to you do you always have it like was it a certain wish to be more thoughtful about what i wanted to do with my life interesting what was i saying there things and preparate it not saying negative on any way i just feel like i feel like i've lived a hundred life on like some stats some stats cincinnati ohio suburb outside mason mtown comets sick comets did you love growing up there just a border uh you don't look back and you're like maybe who i am i literally haven't been there like four years maybe who i am so that's why i'm thankful i think it's like provided the safety and like an environment that allowed me to like be who i am and be weird and be funny and be midwestern that's one thing i'm definitely very feel passionately about and i know people on the west coast feel passionately about west coast east coast same but i feel like strongly about the midwest weird they have a hard opinion on when i meet someone from the midwest there's like a level of understanding and a level of like quickness like our conversations are quick they're like we have the same type of humor you know what i mean yeah how do you feel when you go back i'm back weird yeah no four years just because when i travel like i have places to go that are not cincinnati so i'm gonna actually go back next weekend so i will let you know but the times that i have been back i feel kind of uncomfortable like i don't feel like i relate to life there not if not saying negative on any way i just feel like i feel like i've lived a hundred lifetimes since i left like i lived my college life i lived my chicago life i lived my new york life i've lived this three lives sister and i'm like i just go back three lives actually three locations i don't know who this person was or what this place was it seems like it's so hard for me to remember like i'm like you know so it's very weird for me totally um what did you want to be when you grew up oh my god great question when i was little i would be like i want to be an aeronautical engineer swear to god because my mom like one time said that that was like a good job so i'd tell everyone i wanted to be an aeronautical engineer i have no idea just like stuck to your brain it's not so funny how you become so like but i mean it's like formidable yeah i was wearing white platform sneakers remember those babies i do remember this i wanted them so bad my mom would never get them from me white platform sneakers i had like limited to shorts on that were kind of like board shorts material oh my god yes and they had a rainbow on both sides this is how my mom convinced me to go to summer school she bought me a new outfit and the shirt was said limited to and it had patches of smiley face on it and the board shorts that i had on and that was like a flyer if i say i don't know if i was that i had a low low cut top with cleavage out and i got in trouble that's gonna be crazy and they're crispy and i had crimped my hair with a three barrel curl it was like out to fucking hair so big i had a shirt on that actually got me sent to the principal it was so low they asked me to cover up because i was showing you my skin oh my god the vice principal one time was like krista we've never had as many dress code violations
17:28and a pencil skirt and these like sandals i was like so hot yeah i used to wear pencil skirts all the time i was shopping at like antler loft yeah i was gonna say like a limited like the adult store yes banana republic i would wear like there was a year when i was like if i'm gonna say that i stole my mom's credit card to shop at white house black market into business interviews. I would wear pointy shoes every day. I would wear dress clothes. I would wear dress clothes every day, button downs every day. I was starting like clubs left and right. I started like 50 clubs. I got that stress. So this phase served me well.
18:04But that day when I had print hair, braces off, download, tits out. What was this question? What was the time you felt you looked hot as a child?
18:12Lindsey Simcik:Yeah, like an outfit that made you feel fly. What? That made you feel fly. Also, was fly in our vernacular back then? Why? What an interesting question to get to know someone. Right? Okay. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Can we normalize needing support before we're completely overwhelmed? I think so many of us wait until we're at our breaking point to ask for help when support doesn't have to be a last resort. BetterHelp's 2026 state of stigma reports surveyed 2 ,000 Americans and revealed that 85 % of Americans believe getting support is wise, yet 74 % say society discourages people from doing so.
18:56Lindsey Simcik:We talk about mental health more openly than ever, but there's still this message that we should just push through and handle it all on our own. But with over 30 ,000 therapists and more than 6 million people serve globally, BetterHelp does the initial matching work for you so you can focus on your therapy goals. And if your match isn't the right fit, you can switch at any time. Don't let stigma stand in the way of support. Start therapy with BetterHelp. 20:56Lindsey Simcik:krista's dreams for the next decade let's go that one we're gonna hear what we thought 10 years ago where we thought we would be now. Hold on, this is right before.
21:10Hey man, I'm already doing parts work. Oh, that's a good one.
21:15Lindsey Simcik:Like who tell me later? Oh yeah, you tell me later. Sorry. Who do you look up to? Justice. You, obviously. Oh my God. You for like, you just like inspire me to like be who I am and like be on my path. Let's not get weird, but anyways. And then Justin. He just is like doing his thing and does it with reckless abandon. Yeah, because he doesn't like you. Because he's an avoidant. He is doing his thing and he's doing it with reckless abandon. It's hurting you the entire time. I hate that question, but I'm asking it. I know. Because I know you plan. You can't plan. You can't plan. There's absolutely no way to plan.
21:58Profound. This is one thing. I hate this. I'm going to ask you a question. I absolutely hate this question. It's a terrible question. And there's no answer to it, actually, because you can't plan and you're not able to plan. But tell me. But tell me.
22:10Lindsey Simcik:I mean, in whatever, however you want to describe it, maybe it's just a day in the life in 10 years or it's where you are and who you're with. I want to be, I want to have a house big enough to have guests all the time. You do. I want to live in a space that's like so welcoming and open and like beautiful and like comforting that people always want to be at my space. You do. I always want to be with me. I always want to have guests traveling to come stay with you know what I mean I want to be like on the west coast I want to be somewhere in California I want to be waking up with Justin I want to be making my own schedule and kind of like doing the podcast or interviewing someone in some capacity where I creative and where I'm like continuing to make the art that I want to see in the world but like on a bigger scale you know I just want to like reach more people and I want to connect with more people I want to be given like more opportunities and I want to be standing even in more sure of myself in my life than I am now oh my god that's crazy

26:24Lindsey Simcik:I'm so obviously taking from like an experience I've recently had. and and and retelling it in so much detail yeah that's a quick fire question what the fuck it's just so entire body is shaved basically but like especially like not one hair on one ball no no nothing to me and you're just like no no my little like my little like oh hell yeah oh yeah oh that's great no no like i'm just like i'm just like my little encouraging phrases i'm like oh yeah one ball wow wow i'm just like mirroring you i'm just completely mirroring you no no opinion like let me do me let me sometimes not be perfect you know i would be like i would be kind of thinking like are you going to be like a germaphobe right are you gonna know it makes me think about other things it's like it's not the fact that you're hairless because i'm kind of into like it being clean but like right what does this mean why are you making this a quick fire why are you asking me this question that you wanted to tell a story about that's horny that's what i'm saying just like but not a deal breaker just maybe a fun convo to get to the bottom of oh so the question is this a deal breaker yeah i was like it's okay can you i am i'm not into it i'm a virgin i'm like you do you you do me i'm like i'm like media trained here you've been dating for uh a month and a half and lindsey this is actually how long you were dating that person like you're like in it and you're like oh my god this is like this could be it and he tells you um he just he has to like have a conversation with you um deal breaker or not i would want to have known for right but i can understand like what would take you so long i like it'd be interesting like why don't you see him true you like i feel like you're the most forthrights person and what you believe really yeah you like know you're like you're the person knows yourself and knows what you're doing more than anybody i know so maybe it's not my worst but it's definitely something that i do yeah and maybe not it maybe it's not apparent to other people yeah i think that is true like everyone totally and it's okay i don't get like too frustrated but i just want to be better about it because i think it'll be better for myself and everyone else around me too you know like in relationships and um i guess what i mean is like you have a connection to your intuition stronger than anyone i know so like you have a strong voice so it's like there are you you know sometimes you're not listening to it you know but i know that you have the strongest voice thank you um and my best quality side your ass my best quality i would say is that i i really like love to see the best in people and it hasn't really like worked against me in my life you know i don't look at people and see their best to a fault but I just I think it serves me because then it's giving them like the chance to be the best person like for me too you know and if they don't all about you that's cool and then I know but um I'll never like I'm not the type to think someone sucks until they prove me wrong I will say being pregnant again has made me even more intentional about the choices I'm making I've done a few episodes on this.
30:04Lindsey Simcik:I found myself reading labels more closely, investing in higher quality products, and asking what do I actually trust enough to use every single day? That's what happens with email. She's like, it basically is like how to keep a hundred in your life. and one of my friends emailed me and was like hey girl this is yours people copying people have always been copying you know who copied? the emoji creator the brand hundreds that is so true I remember that copier yeah so Krista reminder she has a blog called 100 blog it is oh my gosh it's so dope so I was thinking I need to trademark it but I mean, it's like, what do I do?
34:43Trademark the emoji. This is me being passive aggressive at 27. I think whatever she's doing is cool.
34:49Lindsey Simcik:I've become a little bit of a supplement skeptic lately, not because I don't believe in them, but because I started asking, is my body actually absorbing any of this? That's what I find so fascinating about the absorption company. They're focused on solving the biggest problem in supplements, low absorption. Most supplements absorb at less than 16%, meaning a lot of what we're taking never actually gets utilized by the body. I've been using their magnesium, which supports things like sleep, stress regulation, and recovery. And most magnesium absorbs really, really poorly, but theirs absorbs eight times better.

35:26Lindsey Simcik:I've also been taking their berberine because most berberine absorbs at less than 1%. And theirs was designed to deliver significantly better bioavailability to support metabolism, blood sugar, and craving support. Start taking supplements your body can actually absorb. I found myself reading labels more closely, investing in higher quality products, and asking what do I actually trust enough to use every single day?
36:14Lindsey Simcik:My standards have definitely gotten higher. That's one of the reasons Ritual has remained part of my routine. Their essential prenatal is the number one best-selling prenatal and the only leading prenatal backed by its own human clinical trial. I also really appreciate the experience of taking it. The capsules were designed with an upset stomach in mind and dissolve in the small intestines. 37:51He goes, girl, your blog is hot fire and you deserve all the success in the world. You are an awesome person to everyone and I hope everything is going your way. I mean, come on. That's sweet. That takes time. What do you think it will take time to? I looked at the time and I was like, he was wasted. I'm like, this kid is wasted. No, not at all. It was like 9, 9 p.m. on Friday. It was like hanging out.
38:13Lindsey Simcik:Could have been wasted, but. Could have been wasted. That's true. And I was like, he definitely wasn't. It was 9 p.m. on Friday. But it's like. Something to be nice. And then also. Good hundred, Krista. Just a little thing that made my day. Surprise. I was kind of like asking the universe. I was like, hey, I want a sign that my blog's good. Which is dumb. Good sign. Target audience not reading. Random person from high school. That's a boy reading. Whatever. But I'm sure he sees you on Instagram. And he's just saying they deserve success. They deserve success. Yeah, that's good. Right? I love that.
38:48Lindsey Simcik:um my hundred your hundred your hundred is your nail color it's called tiramisu for two oh god and she goes honey you like your color i was like i love my inappropriate don't have this in there so this episode will be played you know a little a few weeks down the line right from so it's not like a live live did i say i'll be thinner so but this week we are officially launching launching launching oh wow um which is really exciting but this past week i was trying to figure the fuck out how to oh my god i wanted to thank you for that no i mean please it's so technology has never been something that i've been good at um but i'm like when's you gotta to learn like something you're not good at it you just kind of like like lay into it and um it just i couldn't wrap my head around how to upload it onto lipsyn and then take that code and code this and verify this and put it onto itunes fairly any code so simple like probably like 15 steps but it had to be perfect in order to be verified um if that's the correct word so I like you asking the universe to like just say that your blog's like doing well I was like universe send me like a tech nerd angel in my life because I just need a little help right like I've done some of the like we've done some of the legwork but I was like I just need someone to like scoop it up and just deliver it to iTunes and submit it for me you know so and ask and I received yeah he was so sweet his name is matt britain he's just like matt britain has a podcast that's all about harry potter yeah matt was matt worked at soul cycle front desk and he helped us in the beginning yeah it was so sweet anywho okay we got on that but yeah okay what was the that one was marriage fomo okay um like what the fuck am i gonna do gosh this is probably the only argument and Justin and I get into that, it's what we're going to feed our children.
41:07Really? Not true. Oh my God, this is such a good one. Pray to God that I'm able to conceive children. Let's see. Judah, 100 % agree.
41:18Lindsey Simcik:And like, I think that you will instill in them without being psycho. Where's that marriage? My next one will be public schools. I mean, same. But, I guess. That's a good one. How are y 'all? Oh, so good. Jacob calling into the show. Yes, thanks for having me. Friendly asked to do this. Jacob works, guys, Jacob works at Facebook in Austin. His job is so dope. Can you talk a little bit about what you do? Yeah, sure. So I'm on the advertising side. I work at Facebook Austin. This is a LinkedIn podcast now. Amazing. their teams. I get to work with some. Amazing. That would be probably the easiest advice I'd give anybody.
42:03What's working in Austin like? Do you think it's easy? Like, do you feel like it's easy to date there over like Chicago or different areas and go out and, you know, eating happiness with, you know, marriage and kids and not say that I'm not, you know, I'm not for marriage, I'm not for kids, I'm definitely for both. I wish to have both of that in my life at some point. But I'm just curious to get your take on, you know, why that is ultimately and, like, you know, what else there could be. Yep. Do you feel like in the South you notice that more, like, women are, like, will be only happy if they get married and have kids?
42:45Yeah. Yeah.
42:47Lindsey Simcik:100%, 100%. And they're like, if I get a husband, and if I have a baby, that's it for me. That's my ultimate happiness. And it's not to say that that's not a me. Totally. Yeah. I feel like there's so much help, especially for women in this time. The totallys are wild. To be, you know, to do. They don't need a man. They don't need guys. I don't know. What's your name? I'm obsessed with that. Yes, so true. me i'm obsessed with that i think it's like a timeline conflict like i mean yeah i don't need a guy to be successful i don't need a guy to to for my happiness but um i think that like women for some reason sometimes get obsessed with um women for some reason for some odd reason in life i don't know why potentially really kind of like stability it's kind of a crazy concept how do i not get canceled for that and you also go i don't need him to be successful i don't need this like what do you want i don't need him for my success i don't need him for my happiness continue continue to pick me it is like a societal thing like that they've just grown up in they've i mean i like have sometimes i would have anxiety not anymore but like when i was a little bit younger like can i have it all can i can i like not worry about money have kids have a great husband who loves me and also like pursue my career and there were definitely moments where i was like well it feels like i kind of have to choose right when did it feel like for you that you had to choose I'm just kidding back when I had none of that
44:45Lindsey Simcik:I gotta choose before we launch on the path right I gotta choose which path I don't have success or marriage and kids holy schnikes I mean, all full circle. What am I going to say? What kind of gems am I out to drop? It's so interesting to observe. It's not like girls who I think live in a city. Yeah. There's something different about living in a city. Yeah, that's true, girl. Having that whole energy around you where it's like independence, independence, independence. Go, go, go. Grind, grind, grind. Hey, you're doing cultural commentary on the girl boss era right now. Yeah, that's true. So everyone, let's lean in.
45:25let's lean into this because she's speaking to something that we really are talking about right now you start talking i'm like rambling but i have like i have so many feelings about this do you i just have a problem with the if this happens then i will be happy there's like a buddhist principle you need to think of what the buddhist term is for two types of happiness and one which is true happiness and the other is if this always gotta be deep shut up it's like if i find the love of my life if i have kids i will be happy like nothing is guaranteed in your life
45:57Lindsey Simcik:it's just like chris has always been you know it's like there are threads i can't even get over it that are amazing because it like you see your true essence obviously it like yeah comes out differently now you're gonna put your eggs in those two baskets you need to figure out how to be happy without because you never are going to be happy then then you will be like hey i need to have three kids and I need to have a big ass house and I need to have a car like it's like no girl like that is a problem and that is like a deeply rooted problem that I have an issue with and I have friends that I hear them say that they're like I just can't wait to be a mom and have kids like that is a beautiful thing and being a mom is like a joy that I wish upon everyone that wants to be one but you cannot live your life right now as a young individual or young adult looking forward to or like being excited something that may not even come or may not happen or like that isn't in your path right now like it's not you need to focus on being happy now or for whatever it is because you can't say that it's being like if i get this card then i will be happy totally totally at the end of the day let me simplify for this for you dummies if the buddhism example didn't hit you dumb dumb heads the same thing about being married and having a family and a loving relationship with your husband and creating a life and legacy it's like having a car if i get this car i will be if you get this car you'll be happy it's the same thing there's always something that's the human nature is to always find something new to make you be happy oh sister it's just sad too like he doesn't care about this answer forever he doesn't care about like girls too because like right now i'm sure jacob you you see this with your girlfriends is that all they're doing is talking about weddings and marriages and it kind of like is a pressuring time yeah well it did crush it down and they're like oh man what the hell am i doing and it's like you know here's the thing though too i think there's another dynamic at play on the guy's side I think guys need to be okay with the fact that, you know, the girl can be the breadwinner and can do her own thing and be independent and not have to be focused on her.
48:09You know what I'm saying? I have girlfriends that tell me, they're like, yo, you know, we want to be courted, but at some point it's like, yo, I don't need you, and you need to be okay with that.
48:22I think also the subtle dynamic was that you and, like, someone had a little crush.
48:29Lindsey Simcik:Yeah, yeah. have we met before i forget i think you did yeah no i met like once before a little crush i think he's the best um yeah i mean we started the conversation on the balance of polarities of the male and female dynamics long 10 years ago but how women can stay in power and in their feminine was happening right there in that conversation and i think what's happening to here is like we're kind of we're kind of encouraging the girl boss right like yes a You know where it's like independent, independent. I was commenting on it, but it's like I think we're definitely still in the early stages of like girl boss era, would you say?
49:08Lindsey Simcik:Yeah, for sure. At this time? For sure. For sure. Like we definitely looked up to people who are kind of like repping that hard and like how we grew our business. I'm like weirded out by myself. I'm weirded out. that we're and like you know what's weird is like we are like so compatible and also like on different planets and a lot of our answers totally i'm like oh like i'm like i'm answering people don't want the answer that i'm giving of like oh what if you're a buddhist and you're like whatever they're like let's just kiki about like should we be talking about marriage but again like you've always been deep like you've always been deep it's freaking me out i'm like get a get a new bag oh my god okay i feel like this one has had its moment you're not a chumps damn episode 20 election aftermath crushing on a fitness professional and our craziest questions hold on lay every single thing on the table and you need to lay every single thing on the table and you would need to be willing to commit to six eight months whatever with this person of working him through a tragedy and that is him not being able to get hard and that is him maybe being distant with you sometimes and that is him not being able to open up with you and that is maybe a delayed engagement for you in the future you know what i mean that's it is a full commitment to help and like the title of the section is investigate investigating a date's story of a deceased fiance what i think like a caller okay agreed we were gonna give it a try regardless but he really is such a good guy and it's like i want to believe him so every time that we talk or hang out it's like who was this and i got but i mean let's be honest it's true totally i think also you go what he's gonna be like and if it's not fucking awesome i'm like no this can't work hey girl also need to early on if it's not a hell yes it's a hell no and um because this is a reading and i situated myself so a lot of times on the podcast so over the years as you guys know in past 10 years i think we've had maybe a hundred psychics on mediums people that read so this is probably one of our first yeah psychic readings that we did publicly so someone reading us psychically so let's see just because it was it's so true it's so true yep in so many ways you know meeting a person totally had that energy that i was telling you about there's just something different about you yeah okay general you're just you are just just waiting just waiting i'm waiting for the right time the right person the right opportunity the confidence the this the that and yeah it really spoke to me i don't think it's a lack of confidence as it is a lack of opportunity right now for you because i think you have all the confidence i think if they if they shone that light on you and said go for it you would totally go into character you're just waiting for that opportunity to fall into your lap yeah and yeah I guess but I shouldn't wait is that what you should get yourself out there more and really start to carve that lane that you because I don't think what you're going to do is and it's interesting because at this time like you know social media was kind of becoming a thing YouTube was kind of becoming a thing I think I think from what I remember he's about to kind of reference some like people in the space that like would be good to emulate but it's like it's yeah anyway I don't know any current comedians like it's like Jenna Marbles is one that I think yours is going to be I don't think you want to be you want to fall in that category of what they're already doing yeah yeah you were talking about paving my own way and that's going to be very different which I've always felt but I was always a little bit insecure that my way would not produce what I wanted but you know that instinct was always there that it was going to be different I tell my dad that all the time like to have what i'm doing it like i'm getting there it's just going to be a different way your mind is ready everyone everyone needs to to it's funny because i'm like okay nothing you said is like i know like specific at all all right let's see i don't remember this reading i've had so many i don't really in this lifetime i don't know if it's so much as karmic debt is you learning the lessons you need to learn so you don't have to come back yeah yeah for sure Yeah.
53:46Lindsey Simcik:Yeah. So I don't know if it's a car. I don't know if it's like a murder. Yeah, I don't know if it's a murder. I think maybe it has something to do with cheating. I've always carried like a cheating thing in my life where like every relationship, something, some sort of deceit like that happens. I see. With you, I see not being able to hold your own weight and relying on others in past lives. And so in this life, it made you a little bit more. I think that you're still sensitive in that way. But the direction you're going in this lifetime is forcing you to kind of be stronger and put yourself out there more.
54:15Lindsey Simcik:Like you came back with more know-how on how to do things and a little bit more of a spine to get things done. Does that make sense? Yeah, for sure. Devalicious. What else came from yours? I just said devalicious, by the way. You talked about... Specifically, but... Oh my gosh, we'll see. I was doing the reading. That just basically what you just heard was me doing the reading for this man. I have karmic debt. I have a pattern of cheating. He's like, yeah, you got to be strong. I'm like, okay. I feel like the way that you look at things is when you're looking outside of other things, not your own life necessarily, but on the outside looking in, you're able to catch what people miss.
54:51Lindsey Simcik:So there's something that you're going to say that's going to be like, oh, wow. So I see like a collaboration with another woman and that's going to lead to other stuff too. So don't sell yourself short. Don't get frustrated. Another woman like Krista? Honestly, I'm sitting next to you. He's like, I don't know if that's a 10-year-old boy. Yeah, literally. Yeah, he's like, you're about to collaborate with another woman. Does this resonate? I remember we talked about retiring early. This is for you. You love that detail. You're retiring early. She wants to travel. She wants to see different places.
55:22Lindsey Simcik:I mean, and we all do. But there's something that she connects with soulfully wherever she goes. So I think I told you France was going to be. Was it France? You didn't tell me that. Somebody else, yeah. But there's more traveling involved. and she wants to be able to accomplish what she wants to accomplish at a certain age so that she can retire early. Hey, let me tell you one thing, you guys. Every psychic reading, I see a man from Europe. The person you're going to be with, he's European. I see traveling. I see retiring early. I see spending summers at your lake house. It's like everybody wants to retire early.
56:02Everyone wants to go. You know what I mean?
56:04Lindsey Simcik:Yes and no. Yes and no. Okay. I don't know. Keep playing. Not everyone wants to, like, find a European man. Be a pig and spend all this money, but kind of be able to enjoy what she's worked so hard to build. Is she me? We'll get there. There's something about you that's ready to finish this. Finish everyone. And I think definitely the two of you were meant to meet each other because I think you guys kind of balance each other out. That's true. Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah, Mark is, like, a lot of, like... you probably provide, sorry, you probably provide emotional, more of like a softer tone.
56:39And she provides more of like the, I think I told you, masculine energy.
56:43Lindsey Simcik:Every psychic reading, I'm the man. Yeah. I'm the masculine energy. Whoa, but you said you're softer. Wow. Which is interesting. It's like. Kind of. Yeah. You're just like. So that was the question I had on a psychic. Did you like sit down and like have a moment with yourself before you read me? Because it was like when we got on the phone, And it was like, you had already tuned in and you were already like ready. It was crazy. I used to prepare. I used to have to sit there and think and ask them, what is it that I can do that can nail them, nail them right there. They know that it's confirmation for them.
57:15Lindsey Simcik:And now it's just wait till you hear their voice. So then I did see pictures of the two of you. I said, pull them up. I want to see how different there's something that's the same, but different about them. So I was able to look and I was like, okay, got her. And then I got you. And that helps. That helps. Yeah. Because I'm not talking face to face. I know. That's what was amazing. You just had so much to say. And it was just on the phone. I'm like, are you hearing voices then? Or is it just like, are you channeling? And you're kind of just there. I'm trying to reverse engineer how to be a psychic.
57:45Lindsey Simcik:Basically. But it is so funny. Now you have no interest in asking anyone that. It's like you have your own process. Yeah, I went into reverse engineering. How do you be a psychic? He's like, let me tell you about your life. I'm like, let me actually ask you the mechanics of this whole process. Because I don't really, I'm not getting much from this. Well, this is interesting. Ayahuasca came up, but we hadn't done ayahuasca yet. What? He said that? Can't, like, what? Because I'm, as it is, I've already, I have to have my wits on me. And if, that's supposed to make you throw up. Oh, the ayahuasca.
58:23Yeah, you threw up forever. Guys, ayahuasca is like, it's a drug that you could take. And I think it, it's actually a plant. not going to do the justice of explaining what it is but it basically you can like go through your past lives or you can like a hallucinogenic hallucinogenic
58:41Lindsey Simcik:what if i what yeah what if i have like a bad trip and i stay there or i do something stupid i don't i don't want to risk it i know i get worried too because you're like opening up like dimensions that are like out there summer is always a funny time because i want to enjoy the burgers at the barbecue i don't know about you the breakfast bagel before a beach day that's my thing the pasta salad at a friend's house, but I also want to make choices that support how I want to feel. I realize I don't do well with the all or nothing approach anymore. That's just not me. That's why I've been loving Hero Bread.
59:16Lindsey Simcik:I was honestly shocked by how soft and fluffy and delicious everything is that they make. There's no stiff cardboard texture, just the bread, buns, tortillas, and bagels you actually crave. I've been using their tortillas for easy lunch wraps for myself for my son They're bagels when I need something quick and satisfying in the morning and nutritionally. It's such an easy swap Depending on the product hero has zero to five grams of net carbs Zero grams of sugar and 11 to 32 grams of fiber, which is unbelievable They even have noodles with 32 grams of fiber and 12 grams of protein. I'm obsessed with the noodles So is my son and husband so hero bread is offering 10 % off your order go to hero dot co and use code a30 pod at checkout that's code a30 pod at h-e-r-o dot co um no have you no would you do it i think i would too you guys have some right now usually go on a tent and you like you like puke for 12 hours and you're like meet your maker or So that is when a wall is when it's in reaction to something.
1:00:27And we're not communicating or letting people in on the process. My gosh, me going through the experience of someone putting a boundary up with me and me not being okay with it. So I'm like, it's a wall, actually.
1:00:42Lindsey Simcik:Good. A pleasure to be here. And in fact, rather than a, we will say, collective message, we are going to focus a little bit on YouTube. because that is of use. So Krista and Lindsay, you have, as you are already aware, been in this relationship for many, many, many, many times. And yes, you have been a few different types of relationship to each other. Yes, you have been lovers. You have also had authority over each other in different lifetimes. But in this lifetime, you are tapping back into your time as co-mystics. So to give you a blunt view of it, Krista, your gift is, we will say, stoking the fire and poking the fire.
1:01:26Lindsey Simcik:So you are a stoker and a poker. And what that means is you are very good and very laser focused at where to put your finger, your aim, your words when it comes to the energy field of another being. Now, you might argue that in your younger life, you were not as skilled at this as you have become. but it is a gift it is a gift of being an energy we would say generator but in fact unlike traditional energy generators we would say lee is one of those you are actually one who helps others generate their energy and the more you were able to lean into that gift you have and understand that it is your job to stoke the fire rather than be the fire you suddenly realized why you were so exhausted on the days that you used to be the fire and then we have lindsey whose gift is grounding the energy her gift is pulling in all of the embers that you have stoked and provoked and she organizes and pushes them down into the earth energetically so she is able to cast a wide circle around the two of you and equally she benefits from the fire that you are not only we would say generating in the middle but conducting you are a very good conductor of fire energy and you will get better and better at that as you get older and you will feel greatly relieved by the burden being lifted off your shoulders that you have to be fire equally lindsey is learning to become more fire and let more of her fire through and out so the two of you have done this many many times if you would not incarnate as human right now the two of you would very possibly be doing similar work on the level or realm just above Earth's consciousness human field.
1:03:18Lindsey Simcik:There are those entities and energies that will weave energy at the edge of the consciousness human field on Earth. And that has an effect. It is how angelic energy can re-engineer what is going on on the planet from a distance. So the two of you are here in your true, we would say, Atlantean form as engineers, energy engineers. And of course, that is not your only role. You are also here to have a human experience and to enjoy. But energy engineers is what so many of you are. Lee is one. And there are so many who listen and tune into you who identify the same way. so an energy engineer is always going to come to this planet to shall we say be involved yes but be involved with the energetics that are at work as much as they are involved in the specific dramas trials tribulations so this partnership that the two of you have which we would say is in its extreme infancy and we mean that as a compliment you will be amazed what the two of you will be continuing to collaborate in a decade from now and also as consciousness rises more and more on the planet uh your um we won't even say message for it is more of a transmission and vibration and energy that you hold that people resonate with will become more widespread not just because of your increasing skill but in response to the planetary need so as energy engineers you are both slightly in wonderment about your personal journeys and we will just say before we turn it over to any questions from you that krista for you this has been possibly the most extraordinary year of your life not always good uh quite challenging in some ways but we will say that you will look back on this past year you have been through in two to three years from now and you will see for you it was the cutting of so many ties that really freed you to open your wings and Lindsay for you we will say that you have just figured out what an alchemical fire you have inside your body and you are now letting that fire from inside your body move up to your mind and some of the higher mind creations and revelations you are having because of it are extraordinary and right now you're simply enjoying them but a year or two from now you will have turned them into creativity and the two of you work together so yes there are things you will do alone but this unity between you two is so important because it also brings in the power of extraordinary sisterhood and within sisterhood when sisterhood is balanced there is the most beautiful masculine energy and that is when the balance of any gender or someone who avoids gender completely doesn't want to be part of the gender game and definition as many no longer do the balance between what you would call masculine and feminine energy which is in no way represented by your human archetypes that label this is masculine, this is feminine.
1:06:37Lindsey Simcik:Ha! That is the tip of the iceberg when you try and define it in the human terms that you have seen so far. You see, masculine and feminine energies are energies. They are not form. Form gets informed by the energy inside the form. So if you fix the form and say this is what this energy is, guess what? Evolution can't occur. So you two are here not just for your own evolution, but for the evolutionary work you agreed to come here for. In fact, we will say, especially you, Krista, basically said, I'm not coming down there unless I can do some engineering. Lindsay, you were a little more open because you are more elemental.
1:07:17Lindsey Simcik:And so you can experience an extreme amount of peace from nature. Krista does not feel that in quite the same way. She is more here for the fire of people. I am not coming back here, yeah. i'm here for one more time and one more time only baby sign up for my one-on-one coaching because i'm out after this one literally i'm only gonna do this program once oh yeah that's from a lifetime perspective and from that um wow this was so much fun to look back and there have been 800 other episodes that you guys can listen into that you guys have seen and witnessed our growth our transformation all that we've been through you know all the seasons of our life the seasons of our relationship the seasons of community and it is such a gift to have evolved alongside you to be a part of your growth your transformation I had our photographer text me this week and she's like I did the makeup of a woman who was getting married and she said that she knew you guys and you guys helped her through some of her darkest times and so to have that opportunity to be with you guys in your earbuds, on your walks, in your kitchens, in your car has just been such a gift.
1:08:32So thank you for being a part of our most beautiful 10 years of creation and building Almost 30 and putting a book out and having ambassador programs and merch and the membership. And I know each of you have played a role in this co-creative process. So I love you so much. I'm so grateful for you, for your compassion, your grace, your forgiveness, your love along this path.
1:08:54Lindsey Simcik:Yeah, we couldn't have done it without you. And I feel really, really blessed in the sense that like, our community has always just shown so much love. What an absolute miracle. The well is too deep for me. I don't want to even go go so deep. I've got Fuji on my lap. I've had a child in this process. My baby. Okay, guys, we love you. Thank you for this journey and path. We will see you on the next one. See you next month. Bye.

OMG, we're taking a trip back to the very beginning of Almost 30 to listen to our early episodes, and honestly...we can't believe we're here today.
Listening back had us laughing, cringing, and getting emotional over the dreams we had, the women we were, and the people we thought we'd become. Some things changed completely, and some of the things we wanted most somehow found us in ways we never could've planned.
This is a deeply personal episode, and if you've ever looked back at an old version of yourself and thought, "Wow, she had no idea what was coming," let this be your reminder that every version of you is worthy. Get ready to laugh ‘til your abs hurt ladies—we're heading down memory lane!
We also talk about:
Our first impressions of each other + the women we were 10 years ago
The dreams we had for our future selves + the manifestations that came true
How our voices, identities, and priorities have evolved over the years
Why giving yourself permission to cringe is actually a sign of growth
The dating stories + deal-breaker questions that had us crying laughing
The friendship that became the foundation of Almost 30
Trusting your intuition + following what feels like a full-body yes
Why every season of reinvention is preparing you for what's next
Looking back at old versions of yourself with compassion instead of judgment
The beauty of realizing your life unfolded even better than you planned
