In short
Solo Q&A where Krista Williams (Almost 30 Podcast host; spirituality/wellness teacher, coach, author) answers questions about dating, discernment, spiritual growth, owning singleness, calling in a partner, body image/beauty, “choosing you,” and her goals for the next few years. She also shares a personal shift: increased clarity/“reading energy” makes her wary of people and more hermit-like.

Key claims
- “Reading energy” can be both a trauma response (learned for safety) and a spiritual gift, but it can also lead to judgment and isolation.
- Don’t perform singleness; own your true desire for love/union without shame.
- Calling in a partner requires self-work: therapy/parts work (Internal Family Systems), identifying blind spots, and becoming “the list” you want.
- “Choosing you” means choosing your true essence (not perfectionist/judger/people-pleasing parts).
- Body “glow up” is really metamorphosis: healing your relationship with your body, not constant aesthetic monitoring.
Notable examples
- She describes noticing friends/family partners’ lack of accountability and insecurity through energy.
- She contrasts “constant yearning” (a prison) with “zhuzh” (flirting/dating energy).
- She discusses tracking/“clocking” eating after a breakup and responding with curiosity about life triggers.
- She cites Calling in the One (Catherine Woodward Thomas) and recommends BetterHelp and Upwork (ads).

I have another person in my life that I've realized over time has never actually like taken accountability for any of their shortcomings or their actions and has always been someone that puts it on other people or other situations or other things.

1:02Hello, guys. Welcome to Almost 30 Podcast. My name is Krista Williams. I've been doing this thing for about 10 years now. I'm a teacher in the spirituality and wellness space. I'm a coach. I'm an author. I'm an internet baddie, self-proclaimed, and I'm over 30. We started the podcast, my best friend, Lindsay and I, who lives in New York when we were almost 30 and we've been doing it that long. So don't ask me how old I am. It is what it is. We are a podcast that has amazing interviews with some of the leading experts in the personal growth space, in the health and wellness space. And we like to approach things with curiosity and kindness and levity.
1:40And we also really love to do solo episodes. So in the solo episodes, it's either a conversation with my best friend and co-host Lindsay, or it's a deep dive with myself on topics like modern spirituality, dating, relationships, narcissistic abuse, body image. I'm just running the gamut of things. I also really love to do Q &As. The Q &As are sourced from my Instagram community, my audience. My Instagram is itskrista. It's I-T-S-K-R-I-S-T-A. I share hot takes, helpful advice on healing your relationship to your body, your voice, and being more of yourself. And so I asked my amazing community and audience to share, to partell their questions that they had for me that they wanted me to answer.
2:28And I picked the hottest ones and I just glanced over at them. And we're going to be digging into them and I'm going to be looking at them for the first time. I chose the ones, or I kind of saw the keywords, okay, just looked. They're going to be on relationships, spirituality, personal growth. We're going to get some juicy dating ones in there, but we're going to dig into this. And before we dig into this, I just need your permission because I was, I just want to go on a little rant if that's okay. So if we're both on the same page, we're holding hands, we're at, we're at dinner. If you guys will just let me go on a rant for a minute before I do the Q and A, I would appreciate that so deeply because I was just been thinking about this lately where, and I need some place to share it and I'm hopeful you're down.
3:09so that's proverbial knot I feel like at this point in my life I'm getting my vision is getting too clear and I'm seeing people too clearly and I'm seeing their energy too clearly and I'm seeing their intentions too clearly and it's kind of making me and I kind of want to cry when I talk about this it's making me very um weary of people and it's making me very like judgmental in a way and it's making me like being very discerning. And let me give an example. So, you know, there's someone in my life that's a friend, you know, in a community and just seeing her, I'm like, recently I've been like, oh, like you live your whole life acting like you are helping other people with your job, but actually it's just really serving you and the part of you that has to be validated as the good girl or as the helper to survive.
4:03And it's actually not for other people. It's actually just to validate your sense of self and your sense of self-importance. And again, it's not like this person's done anything to me. I don't not like them, but I've just had this greater perception and this greater vision and this greater sight into the actual energetics of things and the actual clarity of how people are actually moving. like I have another person in my life that or you know in in this fear that I've realized over time has never actually like taken accountability for any of their shortcomings or their actions and has always been someone that puts it on other people or other situations or other things and I kind of was like tracking it a little bit and I don't like to track people because that's not I don't like to be tracked I want to change I want to be different all the time but it was weird and I was kind of getting that hit of like, wow, this person doesn't take accountability and how close do you want to be with someone like that?
5:01And then I had another situation where I was meeting someone in my family, someone in my family is dating someone and I was just like saying hello to them, but I'm also reading their energy and I'm like, oh, they're actually a very insecure, weak person and they this and you know, da da da da. And it's like, I just am feeling a little bit, I'm really working with more of my discernment and more of my ability to read people. And a lot of that has been so improved upon by being in relationships with people that required me to have more discernment where I should have had more discernment. And a lot of times we can psychically attune to things or read people because we were put in situations as a kid where we had to do that to be safe.
5:43And then a lot of times it's actually your gift that you came into the world with. So it's both, it's like kind of a trauma response and also your gift. but it's been so interesting because I'm like kind of needing to work with it because I'm noticing it make me be very weary of people and like less interested in hanging out with certain people and sort of really seeing everyone's motives very clearly. There's another person that I know that has a habit of working for very shady businesses and I'm like, whoa, like how are you not seeing that you're doing that? You know, I'm just like, oh my God, you're doing that.
6:15How, like it's one of those things where you're like, how are people not seeing this? Like, you know what I, you know, I'm like, you guys know, I'm like, how are people not seeing this? And again, there's probably, you guys are probably all yelling at the screen. Like, how is she not seeing this? Even like probably in a relationship I've been in, in the past, at some point, people have been like, how is this bitch not seeing this? But let me tell you that most of the time I was seeing that I just didn't wanna. Okay. So there's this negative experience of having psychic gifts or abilities or being able to read energy that I'm really working with because I know the most benefits are positive because it helps you read people and helps you figure out how to move.
6:54But it's making me sort of want to be more isolated and want to be more hermit mode than I think I ever have been. And that's not my normal state. So I'm just noticing and witnessing this experience that I'm having. And I just wanted to share with you guys in case you were relating to that ability to read people and then being freaked out by them. Oh my gosh. Okay. Let's dig into our juicy Q &A for my people. Okay. First question, how to own being single when you desire love? So how do you own being single and enjoying being single when you desire love? So I think there's one view of this where it's like, how do I own being single when I desire love?
7:37You know, it's almost like the performance of being single and proud, you know, girl, I love being single, da, da, da, da. And it's like, you secretly desperately want union and connection inside, but you feel like it would be embarrassing for you to say that publicly, that people would judge you or criticize you or shame you if you ever said you wanted a relationship. So there's that first of all, that in the room right now, and in the zeitgeist, there's this conversation around it not being cool or interesting or good for you to want relationship or love. And that having a boyfriend is lame.
8:12You know, there was that Vogue article that talked about having a boyfriend being lame. So there's a lot of cultural conditioning right now that would make you think that it isn't cool to want love. It isn't cool to desire love. It isn't cool to want to be in relationship or want to be loved or want to have union, which is like, I mean, you guys, when you really come down to it, you have to be like, what kind of crazy darkness is that? But it's also a response to the fact that we did have a moment in our cultural zeitgeist where the entire conversation was around finding the one, finding the other half of your soul, and finding your soulmate.
8:49And so it's kind of this pendulum swing to be alone, it's better, everyone, you know, we don't need relationships or partnership from the previous like Disney movies of like, I have to find my Prince Charming to survive. So we're just kind of working with these two set up, these two, you know, sort of beliefs and these kind of systems that are alchemizing and really finding the truth of how we believe. I think it's less about you owning being single in a way that's performative, and you just owning the truth of who you are. There are moments where I am like, single life is addictive. It is delicious.
9:26It is so juicy. It is so much fun. The possibilities are endless. The joy, the pleasure, what's around the corner? The juiciness of it. And then there are times where I'm like, I need my husband to take out the trash right now. Where I'm like, I need my partner right now to build our legacy with. And so I have both experiences and I honor both. As an example, the other night, I was in bed and I was feeling, I was having this experience where I was like, I'm fine being single. You know, I love this. It's so fun. And I noticed myself gaslighting myself. And I said to myself, tell me more. I was like, oh, you know, it's all good.
10:12I like being single. And I was like, what's beneath that? And then I allowed a part of me, the truth of me to come forward. And she's like, I'm sad. Like I crave my husband. I crave union. And I was like, oh girl, there's space for you too. So there is space for you to absolutely love and be addicted to your life of singledom and, you know, solowness and for you to crave and desire a partner. The act and feeling of being in constant desire is not a feeling that I want to have. I do not enjoy being in desire. I enjoy being in zhuzh. I enjoy being in like, that type of thing when I'm flirting and dating.
10:53But being in constant yearning and desire is like a freaking prison, bro. Constant yearn, oh, don't do it to me. So I don't wanna be in constant desire. I wanna be in the energy and the vibration of it all happening for me at the perfect time, it all happening on purpose for purpose with purpose and the fact that I'm so divinely guided that at the foundation of it, I can trust that wherever I'm going, I'm meant to be. So don't perform singleness to be cool if you don't feel that's true for you. And then again, own your true heart's desire. I called in a really beautiful relationship when I owned my true heart's desire.
11:34Because before I was like, I love being single, it's the best. And I was having so much fun. But then right when I was like, oh, I actually desire partnership. I had an amazing partnership. And so when I was like in my truth, I was like, oh, actually, I really want partner. I really want to be in relationship is when it came to be. So going beneath the cool desire, the coolness of being single, getting to the truth of your desire. and being honest about it in the moment because it'll change as you sort of move through things. And do not let anyone outside of you tell you how you should feel, who you should be.
12:07Don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't want relationship, that you shouldn't want a boyfriend, a partner, a husband, that you shouldn't want someone to meet you and meet your needs and be someone that loves you and is at your level. Don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't want what you want. Don't. Don't. Don't let anyone tell you that you shouldn't love your life as a single person. I love life in all ways. That's what it's meant to be. You can love your life in both ways. And that is like really the greatest gift of it. And the more you love your life being single, the more you're going to love your life with partner and whoever's telling you that you shouldn't love your life while single because, you know, and I guess get rid of that.
12:49And what I will say is that oftentimes I think you always think the grass is greener. I've been in relationships almost my whole life. And I think, you know, when I wasn't for short periods, I was like, oh, I gotta be, you know, and then I've been in them and I'm like, dude, try fighting on Valentine's day at a restaurant. I'm like, try freaking, you know, waking up next to someone who snores for freaking years. Try like having someone eat all your protein bars every day. Try like always being at the mercy of someone else's schedule. Like it's not always better. It is not always better single.
13:24It is not always better in relationship. You make your life what it is, no matter if you are in relationship or single. So that is the main thing, my honeys. Okay, here's a question. How to call in your man and trust you'll meet him, which is two different things. 33, and want marriage and a family. So firstly, for you, honoring this pure-hearted desire for creation and union. Like, I just love when people own their desire. I love when people are like, yeah, I want marriage and a family. Beautiful. Own that desire of creation and union. Union with your partner, creation of new life. So those are very natural laws of the universe, very stunning and just beautiful.
14:04I think the book by Catherine Woodward Thomas, Calling in the One, is an incredible resource for calling in the one. That would be the book that I'd recommend for that process of calling in your partner. It's like a workbook. It's very action-based. I've had my clients get great success from it. I think it's a really beautiful idea. I think working with a therapist or coach to help you look at your blind spots is essential because what I've found a lot in the space of dating and relationships, and I'm still sort of in my own investigation of it because there's not a linear path to this. And let me explain.
14:41Summer is always a funny time because I want to enjoy the burgers at the barbecue. I don't know about you. The breakfast bagel before a beach day, that's my thing. The pasta salad at a friend's house. But I also want to make choices that support how I want to feel. I realize I don't do well with the all or nothing approach anymore. That's just not me. That's why I've been loving Hero bread. I was honestly shocked by how soft and fluffy and delicious everything is that they make. There's no stiff cardboard texture, just the bread, buns, tortillas, and bagels you actually crave. I've been using their tortillas for easy lunch wraps for myself, for my son.
15:22They're bagels when I need something quick and satisfying in the morning. And nutritionally, it's such an easy swap. Depending on the product, Hero has zero to five grams of net carbs, zero grams of sugar, and 11 to 32 grams of fiber, which is unbelievable. They even have noodles with 32 grams of fiber and 12 grams of protein. I'm obsessed with the noodles. So is my son and husband. So Hero Bread is offering 10 % off your order. Go to hero.co and use code A30POD at checkout. That's code A30POD at H-E-R-O dot C-O. So Upwork, I talk about Upwork with my clients all the freaking time. I was on the phone with one of my clients last night and I said, girl, you are no longer going to edit your podcast yourself.
16:04You are going to outsource with Upwork. This was her budget. She wanted to stay under a certain amount. So we had to find someone that would be a perfect fit for her. Upwork is really the one-stop platform where you can find, hire, and pay expert freelancers across everything from marketing and business operations to web development, design data, and so much more. So you can basically browse their profiles, look through their work, and even get help scoping for a role. I was needing to hire someone for Kajabi within our business to help us do Kajabi. And so I saw this little profile, said, oh, she seems like a great fit.
16:36We got on a call. She was incredible with Kajabi. She was so incredible. Whether you're a smaller business or if you're growing really quickly, their business plus gives you an access to the top 1 % talent on Upwork with AI powered shortlisting that can match you with the right freelancer in under six hours. So this saves a lot of time. This is actually what I've been doing because it does take time to find people. It does take time to vet people and it's kind of a thing. But I want you guys to be outsourcing more so you can enjoy your life. You can do what you need to do and you can grow your business and still have time for freedom.
17:09And Upwork is that place to have that. At Upwork.com right now, you can post your job for free, what you're looking for, who you need to support you. That's Upwork.com to connect with top talent ready to grow your business. That's U-P-W-O-R-K.com. I've had clients and people be like in toxic, crappy, horrible relationships. And then two weeks later meet a man that is incredibly powerful, amazing, and good to them. And they didn't do any work. And I've met, you know, people that have done literally so much work and they found the one, literally done so much work they haven't found the one, literally have tried really hard, found a person because they tried hard.
17:45I've literally had people not try at all and then find someone. There's no like, there's no formula. And if there was, I would give it to you. And I've noticed this so much with so many of the women that I work with and coach that I wish there was a formula that I could give that would make them meet the person. Oftentimes what I do know is that for me, I'll speak for myself on my path, God is really trying to do things to humble me and to help me grow. What does that mean? You know, after my relation to my divorce, I was single for a year and then I decided to get on the apps. That was humbling.
18:18You know, God was like, I want you to see life. I want you to see and experience what's out there. I want you to question who you are and what you have to bring to the world. And I want you to question the world. So I was humbled and I was shocked and appalled and excited and confused at the same time. But I had to break my little ego there and just be like, yeah, you're a person too. So I had to learn that lesson. And so that for me was like, how could I break this judgment I had of others, this, you know, feeling like I didn't really understand the world of dating or I had like felt better than people that had to go on dating apps.
18:59And how did I have to break that? I think for most people, though, there are aspects of their healing that they could always focus on to make them more prepared. I'm not saying that you have to be perfect or that you have to be the most amazing person to with the one or be in the relationship with your partner. But what I'm saying is that you could always do greater self-love work or greater alignment work with yourself to make sure you're in the vibration that could attract the right person. So what does that look like? For me, that's always parts work, internal family systems, which is what I practice and teach.
19:31So that's working with the parts of you that don't want to love you, that don't want to be okay with you being single, that are afraid of relationship, that are pushing away relationship, that are afraid of being loved and helping those parts get acclimated and comfortable with being loved and loving all aspects of you. If you want someone to love you deeply, if you want to have a family with someone and trust them, you have to trust yourself. You have to love yourself. You have to love all aspects of yourself. So I think that's an essential part of the process is doing the work on yourself to find all the nooks and crannies that you do not love about yourself and then find more ways to love you.
20:04I would also say that looking at all the ways in your life that you are not the person that you are calling in. This is huge. I think it was Elena Cardone. I think it's her name's Cardone, Grant Cardone's wife. She said that she made her list for her person. And then instead of looking, oh, this is my list for my person. This is my order I'm placing to, you know, my cosmic butler, God, to deliver for me this man. Look at your list and see where you are not that list. If you're looking for someone that's successful, confident, funny, are you successful? Are you confident? Are you funny? Are you responsible with your finances?
20:46Are you treating your body well? Are you working out? Are you eating well? Are you respecting people? Are you giving back? Are you good with money? Like I said, good with money twice. I've got a thought about money. That was subconscious. You have to be the list you were asking for. This is like, I just, we're holding hands. We're across from each other at Waffle House. We're off Highway 75 in Cincinnati. It's 3am and we're skipping. You know, we're going to skip school tomorrow. And because we're, this is, this was my high school, you guys at Waffle House, just like drinking chocolate milk, holding your hands.
21:18You have to be the list that you're asking for. Oh my God. If I could say anything, I'll see women be like, he has to be a 10. He has to be making, you know, he has to have a plane. He has to be making all of this, all of that. Like, yeah, girl, I get it. And are you successful? Are you good with money? Are you healthy? Are you all the physical attributes that you're looking for? Again, let me just say, I understand that there's low inventory, ladies. I understand that inventory is low. I understand there's not a lot that we're working with, but there can be no bad happening if you are making yourself better, even if it's just for yourself.
21:57So working on yourself is going to be essential. Getting the book, calling in the one is going to be great. And then the part about trusting God, um, you know, I think in my path, what I've done less so, you know, being like, I trust you God to do this. I'm like, you know, I trust you either way. And I love you either way. And I'm grateful for you either way. meaning if God doesn't have a person for me if God doesn't have a path for me if God doesn't have motherhood for me I trust that and I trust um I trust where I'm being guided and where I'm headed and I trust the the calling and path of my soul over what my mind can perceive because I've been wrong at times do I have my heart's desires do I have my my own human knowings yes but I've also surrendered everything.
22:48And that means everything. It means every will and every desire. It doesn't mean, you know, oh, I surrender that I'm going to be 36 when I have two babies. No, it's like I'm surrendering if I am a mother, if I am a wife, if I am, you know, going to have that be a part of my journey because I trust my path and my soul and God more than I trust my desires in this now moment. And do I believe cellularly that will happen for me? Yes, but I'm available to be wrong. so giving it up to God means truly giving it up to God and the last thing that I'll say is praying that you can surrender the desire from your heart just be like God just take this desire from me just allow me to have peace allow me to have reverence allow me to have like um this sense of home and safety and calm within you where I'm not just desiring all the time because I don't want to walk around be like you know we don't everyone hates that we were like at the grocery store and you're like, is this my husband checking out, you know, buying like organic bamboo toilet paper?
23:47Like, is that my husband? It's like, no, no, no, no, no, no. We want to release that obsessive feeling of not enoughness and lack of wholeness and desire. And remember that there is a true union and unity within us that exists right freaking now. Okay. So this question was body and beauty and where are you now? So where am I now? I'm in California. So this question I think is related to how am I feeling about my body? Because I'm someone that talks a lot about body image and relationship to body and body transformation through metamorphosis and some of the work that I do. And then also beauty.
24:25I don't talk about beauty stuff a lot, but I'll share some stuff on my Instagram oftentimes about brands that I love and use. And if it's helpful, I'll share it. If people ask, I'll share it. And then where am I now with stuff? So it's so funny because I had, it's been interesting to say what I'll say about this because I was in a situation where I was dating someone and then we ended it. And it's funny because I was with a friend and she's like, oh my God, okay, it's time for you to have a glow up. And I just was like, I don't give a fuck about glowing up right now. I'm just like, ugh, like, ugh.
25:00Like the thought of the constant fucking need to glow up. If you think that your soul came to earth to be on the treadmill of a constant glow up, I feel bad for you. You did not come here to constantly glow up. I could not be more bored with constant glowing up. I could not be more over glowing up. I was just like, dude, I'm happy with how I look. I feel really great. I love myself. I'm pleased. Of course, there are things. Of course, I have days. Of course, do I look at myself on camera and think one of my eyes is higher than the other eye. And, you know, I would love to change that. Like, yes, of course I do.
25:56But that's not what I came here to do, dude. I didn't come here to be on the rat race of glowing up 24 freaking seven. I came to be in alignment with my soul and be on mission and to serve and help people. And I definitely want to be beautiful. Don't get it twisted. Don't get it twisted. No one's looking at me thinking I don't want to be beautiful. No one's looking at me thinking that I don't get influenced by stuff. but it's not my whole day. It's not my whole mind. It's not my whole psyche. And it's like a small aspect of it. I love it as creativity. I love it as expression. I'm so grateful for my beauty, for being a welcome mat for people to come receive my wisdom and my information and my comedy and my humor.

26:36But I don't want it to be the main thing that people stop and stare and get attached to. So I'm actually having this relationship with beauty where it's like very much less interesting than me to me. And I've found that a lot of people, when they talk to me and have conversations with me, the conversation goes there quite a bit. You know, I had a few friends recently that were like, oh, like talking about my Instagram, they're like, oh, you should do, you know, like more no makeup and you should do like stuff where it's like, you know, we know you're hot and like, you know, should be less about being hot.
27:06I'm like, what? I'm like, okay. I don't even know what that means, bro. I'm like, what do you want me. I was like, what? Okay. Anyways, you know, so I think people get a perception about, people have a lot of feelings about beauty and aesthetics and what people look like and what they don't look like. And you know, that's all good and well, but I think I've been less interested in it than ever. All that to say, when I talk about body, I've become more interested than ever. And metamorphosis, there is a glow up to having a metamorphosis in the way that you are loving yourself more. You are understanding yourself more deeply.
27:37You are no longer hiding and running from, you know, your feelings or emotions or thoughts. So you're glowing up because you're becoming more whole. You're allowing more light in, you're allowing more expression out. And metamorphosis is my body transformation program. It's a group coaching program that I do to walk people through body liberation and transformation. But it's like a different, we're not like focused on like, you know, fucking glow up, whatever, but we're focused on you actually healing the relationship to your body. You don't need to heal. You don't need to change your body. You need to heal your relationship to it.
28:05So how do I feel about my body? You know, what's interesting, um, interesting because I have been noticing that I have been a little bit more tracky than normal, but a little bit more clocky than normal and tracky and clocky are terms that I use for when you're kind of tracking yourself and clocking yourself. You're like, Ooh, I'm eating a little more. Ooh, I'm kind of clocking how much I weigh or how my body. And that's kind of the slippery slope that we can kind of get into when we're like monitoring ourselves. We're tracking our body. We're clocking. We're judging. We're contorting, all of that.
28:39So I'm just noticing that. And the way that's different how I relate to it rather than before when I was in a bad relationship with my body is I notice it and I get curious about what's going on in my life outside of it. So I've noticed myself eating a lot more and then also clocking that I'm eating a lot more and making judgments about them. Like, oh, I better watch out, can't be eating so much. So instead of being like, oh my God, I need to stop eating so much. I'm like, what's going on in my life right now that's causing me to one, eat more and two, to be watching what I'm eating so much. One, I'm working out more, I'm walking more.
29:16And generally, I feel like I'm just not eating in a way that's nourishing myself enough where I'm wanting more. BetterHelp. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. The reviews of BetterHelp are updated every day. And it's great to hear from the people that say they love it and have actually used the service. So you can look at the reviews if it's going to be helpful for you. And the average live therapy session actually has a 4.9 out of five based on 1.7 million client session reviews. And more than 6 million people have used BetterHelp globally. So if you're thinking about starting therapy, you answer a few questions, you get matched with a therapist based on your needs, and if it's not the right fit, you can switch therapists at any time.
30:28You can see the reviews, what stands out, and see if BetterHelp is a right fit for you. Use betterhelp.com slash almost 30. That's betterhelp.com slash almost 30. That's betterhelp.com slash almost 30. So Upwork. I talk about Upwork with my clients all the freaking time. I was on the phone with one of my clients last night and I said, girl, you are no longer going to edit your podcast yourself. You are going to outsource with Upwork. This was her budget. She wanted to stay under a certain amount. So we had to find someone that would be a perfect fit for her. Upwork is really the one-stop platform where you can find, hire, and pay expert freelancers across everything from marketing and business operations to web development, design data, and so much more.
31:10So you can basically browse their profiles, look through their work, and even get help scoping for a role. I was needing to hire someone for Kajabi within our business to help us do Kajabi. And so I saw this little profile, said, oh, she seems like a great fit. We got on a call.
31:39This is actually what I've been doing because it does take time to find people. It does take time to vet people and it's kind of a thing, but I want you guys to be outsourcing more so you can enjoy your life. You can do what you need to do and you can grow your business and still have time for freedom. And Upwork is that place to have that. At Upwork.com right now, you can post your job for free, what you're looking for, who you need to support you. That's Upwork.com to connect with top talent ready to grow your business. That's U-P-W-O-R-K.com. So I'm going to kind of shift to nourish myself more.
32:10And then two, what's happened in my life and there's been a change, there's been changes happening in my life that have kind of made me be like, I have to look perfect for it. so noticing shifting letting go but all in all I feel really grateful for my body I feel so like in awe of my body for all the things that it does without me noticing without me forcing it without me asking it like if you guys really think about how many things your body does for you on a freaking daily basis without you even asking or wanting your body digests food makes energy like allows you to see, inputs that information, processes that information, allows you to breathe, turns that into energy, allows you to release, to like rest, to move, to sit, to walk, to conversate, to ideate, to pontificate.
32:59I need help. It's crazy. It's so crazy. Like, wow, this body is doing so many things outside of looking hot, outside of glowing up. God, you guys, we're going to have the great glow down. Mark my words, dude. We're going to have the great glow down. And this is the whole thing about me is I'm a contrarian. This is why I can't be clocked. This is why I don't want anyone clocking me. Don't be watching me talking about stuff because I'm going to be talking about it a different way in a few years. Okay. I was talking about glowing up before because I did glow up and now I'm like, I want money. I'm just kidding.
33:33I do. I do. I do. But you know, so that's where I feel about it. I have my days. I still struggle at times. I'm so much better about it. Metamorphosis. I'm going to make evergreen soon, which I'm really excited about. So I can have people come and take it at any time and then work with me to heal their relationship with their body. I've been really interested in the content. I've been doing that more as it relates to the mother wound, as it relates to the energetics and like the spiritual aspects of how our body is and how our body relates to the world, um, for highly sensitive people, especially.
34:02And so I've been really getting into a lot more research and, um, you know, work around the body and body transformation from a metamorphosis perspective. And that's just been a pleasure and a delight. So I'll keep you guys posted on that. So I had a question. It wasn't really a question, but the person said, choosing you. So choosing you and the conversation around choosing you. And I think a lot of times people that are more immature in the self-development and growth space, and oftentimes nowadays I have to delineate kind of the spectrum because in the personal growth and self-development space there there really is a spectrum of your understanding and your awareness and the depth of what you can contextualize or what you've embodied or what you've been through or what you grow through and what you teach I know people that are teachers and practitioners that are literally the most unregulated nervous systems I've ever met in my life that self-sacrifice, self-abandon on a constant daily basis and have no access to their own identity.
35:06And then I know people that are incredibly processed, incredibly powerful, you know, whatever. So it's just a space where you have to understand that there's levels to awareness, there's levels to healing, there's levels to this process. It is what it is. So when we talk about choosing you, there's different levels and ways you can approach this because, you know, for me, um, back in the day when I was less social, when I was less aware, when I had less access to self or less conscious, I would be like, I'm choosing me. And I'd be like, you know, choosing like something that was like probably not helping my relationship.
35:44You know what I mean? I'd be like, it's like, you know, cause you could be at a level of consciousness where you're like, I'm choosing me. And it's like to choose to cheat on your partner. You know, You're like, I had to finally choose myself. And you're like cheating on someone. Or you're like, I had to finally choose myself. And you're like not showing up to work. So there's like, you know, lower consciousness levels of that. And then there's like higher, more attuned levels of consciousness of choosing you. And the only way you can truly, truly, truly choose you is by knowing who you are, by having an understanding and access to consciousness, to awareness, to self, to this part of you, this self that exists.
36:26Otherwise you are choosing your perfectionist part, your judger part, your critic part, these other parts of you that are not the truth of you, the undeniable true essence of who you are. True Essence Retreat, October, Italy. It's Krista.com. But if you are not understanding what that is, then you're not even choosing you. You're choosing like, you know, like I didn't go to dinner with a friend because I'm choosing me. It's like, sure. So choosing you. And what I'll say about this is I had to first find that anchorship of self of me of this essence of who I was. And I'll never forget it actually it was I was working on it quite a bit over time and therapy and all the work I'd been doing and trainings, etc.
37:04But it happened. I'll never forget the moment where I was looking at my therapist and she said, you know, it's like, she's like, no, it's you. And she goes to her heart and she puts her hand over her and she goes, it's you. And at that moment, myself noticed the self feeling, self actualization and self is an internal family systems word, but of my, of me, because it was herself that cultivated that. So in internal family systems parts work, which is what I teach and practice and everything that I do, there's this way, there's this part of it that says self calls forth self. When I am who I am, when I am in the true essence of who I am, when I am me, when I choose myself at the truth and core of who I am, not my patterns, not my limiting beliefs, not the things that hold me back, that is when I call forth you, your true essence, your true self, the truth of who you are.
37:54So choosing me, what does that feel like? What does choosing me mean? Man, it is such this beautiful dance and experience of continued conversation and access to myself and access to my soul and access to like my internal landscape and my internal dialogue of every moment. And so that happens with like, you know, I go into a place in a space and I meet someone and I'm having the conversation of like, how does this person feel for me? Do they feel safe? Do they feel interesting? Do they feel like someone I want to deepen a relationship with or not? I'm having that little conversation with myself.
38:26There might be a judgmental part. There might be a people pleasing part. I'm aware of my parts so that I can choose the most aligned action from that part. Choosing yourself first is experienced through you choosing you over the limiting beliefs, the things that are holding you back, the subconscious program that you were programmed with, you know, that you kind of have to parse from in choosing you. Like as an example, with my body journey, I had so much subconscious reprogramming around being thin was being loved. having the perfect body meant I'd have the perfect life. And in actually choosing me, I had to let go and rewrite those subconscious beliefs to choose the beliefs that I, Krista, my soul wanted to align with.
39:16I'm loved no matter what. I'm worthy no matter what. I'm perfect just the way I am. And I know that can sound pukey because when you say perfect just the way I am, is kind of pukey to some of our parts, but it's true. So choosing you happens in a lot of ways. Rewriting subconscious beliefs that you've been given since birth to the ones you actually want. This also happens for a lot of people in their Saturn return. Your Saturn return is the option and opportunity for a lot of the beliefs of your subconscious to come up for review, for the person that you, the character you've been playing to come up for review, for you to become who you truly came to be.
39:49Almost 30 of the book, the perfect reference for that. After rewriting the subconscious belief to choose you. It also happens by internal family systems work, parts work with therapists to find and understand who you are. Because for a lot of people, they're choosing you, but they don't know who you are. They don't know what they like. They don't know what they don't like. They don't know what they're good at. They don't know what they're not good at. So it's like you have to kind of have some relationship for yourself to choose yourself. As an example, having a preference is also choosing you.
40:15My friend was like, hey, let's go to the desert and do this thing. I'm like, in my deep truth, I don't like the desert. It creeps me out. So I'm creepy about the desert. People get abducted, weird tumbleweeds and things happen and I don't like the desert. That's my truth. So that's choosing me. I don't like the desert. But before I went to the desert a bunch because everyone liked the desert and I wanted to be liked by them. And I did love them. I had good times, but it's like, I'm choosing me. I don't want to go to the desert. But it could also be choosing me to choose the relationships and be like, I don't like the desert, but I want to choose the relationship.
40:48So very nuanced thing happens in the moment. very deep work happens in understanding ourselves, in rewriting our subconscious beliefs, and internal family systems work, parts work, in knowing who you are. And you could definitely use tools like astrology, like human design. You know, any of those can help you understand who you are so you can learn to really choose yourself. But I would say in my life, the greatest gift I've ever been given is having a internal compass that is just so profoundly clear. Oh my God. Like it is like, I'm in a room and I'm like, I ain't fucking with that. I'm not going over there.
41:28I'm not talking to them, talking to them, love them. Want more of this. It's just like the clarity of my soul is so crazy because dude, I could go on for days, but the clarity of my soul is crazy. So I'm so grateful that my soul has always chosen itself and its path. And I'm sure your guises has too. It's just understanding and connecting with your soul and having that deep faith and trust that it's guiding you to where you need to go. This is an interesting question. And it's, so this was an interesting question. And she said, would love to hear about your goals for the next few years. And it's interesting because I haven't really thought about it, to be honest.
42:03You know, I used to be someone that was so goal obsessed and so goal oriented for so long and to keep it one freaking hundred with you, I didn't achieve so many of those goals. It was like, honestly, every year would be like a graveyard of dreams.
42:22Oh my God. I would just be like, oh, I'd start another year. I'd be like, yeah, I didn't go viral this year. Yeah. I didn't hit 200 K. Yeah. I didn't freaking do this. I didn't freaking do that. I didn't freaking do this. Freaking, freaking. I was like, oh, I just, what are these goals? So, you know, I think goals are great. I'm just speaking about my personal experience. So I kind of just let it go. And I was like, you know, what if I lived my life in accordance to my daily alignment, my daily desire, my daily check-in, my daily guidance, and lived my life to serve something greater than myself and allowed God to show up and come through with whatever God was going to do in my life and all the miracles and magic that could happen.
43:04So the choice for me to not have goals, and let me just say really fast, this is so freaking funny because this girl's like, just tell me your goals, bitch. And I'm like, the choice to not have goals was liberation, was alignment with God. I'm so annoying. She's like, just tell me, God. She's like, what did you, she's like, what did you, what are you doing for goals, dude? And I'm like, let me tell you about liberation from goals, lady. So annoying, but it's true. So I decided to give it up to God to allow myself to be open for more magic and miracles and more, you know, surprises. Because I think in all of my life, what I realized, especially about manifestation, is that I can manifest so quickly and easily.
43:47Like just yesterday, I was looking at these curtains in my living room and I'm like, I need actually another set of curtains. And then I had a ping to look on Facebook Marketplace. There was the exact set of curtains that I needed for$600 less. I was like, give me them curtains, lady. And I got them curtains right away. I will think about a supplement and I'll get the supplement sent to my house. I will think about a person. They will text me right away. I will ask for something. It will happen right away. So I know that I can manifest what I want. It just has to be in my highest and greatest good.
44:17So I've actually let go of goals. BetterHelp. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. You guys have heard us talk about BetterHelp for a long time. But one thing we don't always talk about is just how many people genuinely love the experience. So if you're curious about therapy and you want to support yourself in your life, I highly suggest using BetterHelp. It just kind of breaks down the barrier of cost, of time, of availability. That's betterhelp.com slash almost 30. I have so many of my dear friends that are moving through pregnancy right now. I actually have three of my closest people in my life that are moving through pregnancy. And it's been so beautiful to see how intentional they've become about their body and the way they're choosing to support themselves, the way they're choosing to nourish themselves. Lindsay, as an example, she truly is like doing like eating sardines, eating like liver.
46:00And so seeing her use Ritual and just like support her body in the best way she knows how, it has shown me how powerful and how great of a brand Ritual is because I trust her so much. She's reading every label all the time. So you can really fully trust Ritual for your brand to support you in your journey of pregnancy. So they have this really powerful essential prenatal, which is clinically backed with prenatal vitamins with traceable ingredients like choline, folate, and omega-3. It's also non-GMO. It's vegan. It's gluten-free, and it's major allergen-free. And it's made without synthetic colorant.
46:34I also love that Ritual uses bioavailable nutrients designed for optimal absorption and designed for the capsule to be gentle on the stomach and easy to take, making it easier for people to stay consistent. Don't settle for less than evidence-based support. Save 25 % off your first month at ritual.com slash almost 30. That's ritual.com slash almost 30 for 25 % off your first month. I've actually allowed more magic and miracles in, and I've actually had more faith and trust in a path that isn't linear or isn't led by my ego or my desires and more by my soul. And so oftentimes the path of our soul is more non-linear, more funky town, more crazy, more silly, more fun, and doesn't really lead us to places that our ego wants us to go.
47:18And it's not a problem to have goals. It's not a problem to have, you know, desires of the ego even. But I wanted to really experiment and explore. But if I was to actually answer your question, I have a goal to create and do something that feels so authentically and uniquely me and so different than anything that I've ever seen and just do something completely different and continue to be a pioneer in whatever that I do. Just like I was with this podcast with Lindsay, being a pioneer in the space, I wanna be a pioneer in whatever it is that I'm doing next. I wanna be able to melt and meld spirituality and humor.
47:54And I want to be able to serve more people, help them know themselves more deeply, love themselves more deeply, connect to something greater than them. I want to bring prayer to more places in a way that feels non-threatening, non-judgmental, non-denominational. I want to have a family and a husband that I just absolutely am obsessed with and adore and love. I want to have an amazing home that hosts people all the time. And I want to do voiceover work. And I want to have something happen in my life that's a complete surprise and takes me on a random and weird journey that I could never expect.
48:33So that's just me and that's just sort of what comes through. So that's a little bit about goals. Fully expressed, tapping into different archetypes. So this is a question around tapping into different expression archetypes. So fully expressed is the retreat series that I've done over the years. I think I've done three at this point. And fully expressed is a two-day immersion for people that feel like they're made for more, that know that their soul came here to do something that has that like feeling of like never being satisfied, wanting more, wanting to create, wanting to express, wanting to be, wanting to do, and doesn't know what to do with that energy.
49:12Someone that wants to express what their soul here, someone that wants to express from their soul, someone that wants to be seen and more visible and be more comfortable being more visible, be more comfortable being seen. Someone that wants to make money online with a personal brand and business, with a Instagram, with social media, with a podcast. And so that immersion is happening in June in Chicago. You can get tickets at itskrista.com. It's I-T-S-K-R-I-S-T-A. And that is where we're going to do the fully expressed method. And in the fully expressed method, we determine your visibility archetype.
49:44Like what is your visibility archetype? So understanding how you are best digested, expressed in the world is really important because everyone has a different visibility essence within them. For me, as an example, if you guys consume my content, if you watch me, know me, you guys know I have a very specific vibe. One thing about me is I'm a vibe. And you guys like, that's just like, you're like, she's got this vibe about her. And that's my unique expression essence. I know who I am. I know how I express. I know what I'm good at, what I'm not good at. I've worked on the things I could be better at.
50:17I'm working to be better as a speaker every single day. And so that understanding my essence and then understanding where I could be better is how we really find that archetype to express ourselves in. What I've found is that, you know, where I use humor and relatability and authenticity, oftentimes when I speak and when I teach, I often use, you know, power as well. I'm a very powerful person. There are elements that I'm, you know, not so good at. I'm not so good at maxims. I'm not so good at like storytelling. And I'm not so good at, you know, explaining really difficult concepts to a lot of different people in a way that a lot of people can understand.
50:58I'm good at explaining difficult concepts very deeply to specific amounts of people. Again, that's very specific to me. How did I figure that out? Reps, studying myself, thinking about it, and processing it. So at Fully Expressed, we work on understanding how you're, what you're good at naturally, and then how we can improve on certain things. So a lot of my girls are amazing writers. Being visible also means you could be an amazing writer on Substack or on blogs. A lot of my girls are great poets. A lot of my girls are great stage speakers. Some of my girls are great podcast hosts. So you have a channel oftentimes that your voice likes to express, and my voice loves to be doing podcasts.
51:39And by understanding what your mode of expression is, the more likely you are to do it, to stick with it, and to make impact, which is the important thing. Do it, stick with it, make impact. by understanding your unique expression. So we find that out, which is very powerful. So how you could do this today and support yourself in doing that, what is the most natural mode of expression for you? Writing, poetry, singing, one-on-one conversation, presentations on stage, on podcasts, on YouTube, on social media. There's a lot of different ways that you can express in this world. And there's a lot of different opportunities for you to be expressing your unique voice.
52:20And then the second thing is kind of clocking yourself to see how you could be better. Maybe you could slow down your speech. Maybe you could write more often. Maybe you could push yourself to be more vulnerable. And then by mixing both what you're naturally good at, what you're naturally called to, and then ways you can improve, you become a much better speaker, communicator, or someone that is more visible and more seen and heard. For most people that feel like their soul came here to do something, they came here on mission with purpose. A lot of times it's like the fully expressed is the solution for that.
52:50Because it's not like, without finding who you are and finding how that essence or that energy wants to be expressed, you're never going to be satisfied. I've seen that so many times with my clients and in my own life. The satisfaction and peace that you feel knowing you're fully expressed is like so much of what we want in life. Like that's how you get the relationships, the money, the abundance, the purpose. And so those visibility archetypes that we'll do at the fully expressed immersion in June are going to be essential for you as like a blueprint moving forward for being seen and heard and stepping into, you know, your purpose and your mission here on earth.
53:29Okay. This question was learning how to be so hard. This question was interesting and I had to push myself. I had to push myself to my fullest expression to answer it. because I actually, I think I kind of hide a lot of my like deeply spiritual mystical parts just for more one-on-one work and my coaching clients because it's not easy to be like talking about deeply mystical spiritual things publicly and I think that aspect of me has always been something that like kind of like was you get the reward if you peel back the onion but let's go for it. So more on mediumship, personal experience, different healing modalities such as Reiki.
54:06So talking about mediumship and different healing modalities. So just for background, I've had, I've done, you know, energy healer trainings, multiple ones. I'm a master teacher level at many of them, Mary Magdalene Reiki, Yasui Reiki, other types of quantum healing, access consciousness, bars. I've done somatic practitioner training, IFS training, you know, coach training, et cetera, et cetera. Somatic and mediumship, I actually did a training with a medium and intuitive for a few years, one-on-one, because I noticed that in my one-on-one sessions with my clients, I would have family members come through.
54:50I would have people come through in the sessions. And to be honest, I don't really want to be talking to people's dead family members. I've always been someone that has been really in tune and really in touch and really connected to the other realms, to angels, entities, beings. And I've always been able to connect and have conversation. And for most of my life, it was very scary. We did an episode with Taylor Page on the spirit wound, which is really powerful for people that have had gifts for a lot of their life that feel like they struggle with them. But I really struggled with it for a long time.
55:26And so when I got older and started to step into my spiritual badassery, which is a quote and term that I use when talking to my clients about getting into your spiritual sovereignty and your spirit sovereignty of knowing that you have dominion over your entire experience and that no entity being thought, form, energy has power over you. Nothing in this realm has power over me at all. Nothing. I'm afraid of nothing. A lot of that is because the core and anchor of my life, which is God. But I've had a lot of, you know, things come through in my sessions and my one-on-one sessions because we do a lot of really deep work with parts work.
56:07And then a lot of it can be kind of shamanic in ways if people are working with really deep trauma or deep things. You know, as an example, I had about two weeks ago this session with someone. And in the session, I felt this very big presence arrive in the parts work. And I just felt this really huge energy enter. And it was, you know, to the right. And it was just this giant energy. And it just kept saying big presence. And I kept hearing big presence. And I was like, are you her father? Because I knew her father had passed. and it said no. And I was like, okay, I don't know what you are, what you're doing, but I need you to step back because there's work we need to do.
56:52She and I need to focus in the session. So what's happening there, and I'm really sharing a lot here about this process of this, you know, spiritual journey. So I'm hopeful it's being received well. But so in this process, I'm working with her. She's my priority, this woman, not this energy entity being, whatever it is. Most of the time, if it's an angel or a light being, it's not going to be interrupting or involving itself in our process. And I found a lot of times with past family members, they're really getting in the way of a process that I'm in with a person. They want to have their voice heard.
57:24They want to be seen. Dead people want to be seen and heard all the time. It's like, stop. So I was like, you need to step back and you need to go over there. So we finished our little session. And then, you know, I was asking her about a really big presence in her life. And I was kind of tuning into the energy again. And I was tuning into the energy to get more information about it because it was there for reason and for purpose. And turns out it was a really dark, gross energy that I did not like at all. I did not enjoy it at all. And I was like, is there a big presence in your life, someone that feels like a narcissist?
58:00And she's like, oh my God, that was my old boss that passed away six months ago. And you know, this person had involvement in the situation and scenario that we had been talking about and their presence actually helped us because it provided a perspective on what had been going on that could help us eventually have her heal. But the whole process was not really pleasant. It's not pleasant to attune in or talk to negative energies. It's not pleasant to connect with people on the other side that have been dark or evil or haven't done the work. And this could be just my perspective, but it was something that kind of solidified for me that there's a better way of being.
58:43And so I've said before that I'm not available for past loved ones to come through, but I think I had to create better boundaries and better energetic hygiene. And we actually had someone come on a few weeks ago and she was saying that a really good way to do this, if you have, you know, a past loved one come through in a session, is to have your guides talk to them and have your guides talk to you. So instead of me going directly, it's my guides can communicate to them, get the information and then move on. So I understood that I needed to improve my energetic hygiene because I don't want negative energy like that in my life.
59:17But again, I was grateful because it helped us move forward in the session. So I've had this happen over the years, you know, where family members have come through. It's not my preference. It's not my priority. If anything, I want to work with their highest selves are angels. I've had fairies come through. I've had, you know, aliens come through. I've gone on spaceships with my clients. Like it's actually been incredibly deep and wild and profound and beautiful. And it's never really my intention for the session to start out that way. I'm not like, Hey, today, girl, we're going to like get on a spaceship and we're going to meet your highest self.
59:52It's like, I am here for whatever the highest, greatest good is for you. And for this moment and for this session, I serve as a channel for the greatest possible outcome for here, whatever that may be. So sometimes that's talking about your social media strategy. Sometimes that's talking about, you know, the fact that you had a past life where people were going behind your back and stealing your business ideas. It really runs the gamut. And I think that's what I love so much about coaching and the work that I do. And I feel so passionate about it. And I'm actually working with so many women that are going down the coaching path.
1:00:26is that it's just so creative and it's so fun and there's so much magic and there's so much mystery. And I think that's why my coaching is a lot different is that it is very spiritual, it is very deep, it is very intuitive. And there's things that we uncover that you don't see and there's things that you probably would see in your lifetime. And with traditional coaching, it's more like kind of basic surface level. So I really love that about my work. So in my experience with mediumship, all that to say is it's not my preference, it's not my priority, I don't want to talk to dead people. I don't want to talk to your grandma.
1:00:57I don't want to talk to my grandma. I don't, I don't really care. I even have had to reorient myself to my ancestors in a way that's more respectful, to be completely honest. I had, I've been reading this book called Jesus Calling. And in it, it was funny. I was actually praying. I'm like, God, can you help me respect my ancestors more? Because especially as like a white woman, I'm like, I don't really know what you guys were up to. And it's funny. I opened the book straight up to this chapter. That was like your ancestors are responsible for you and everything that you've been able to do, it's because they've been able to take you as far as they could go.
1:01:30So you could go further. So I've had more respect and love and reverence for them, but it's just like, it's a little bit of a mixed bag and I don't like to do it, but it definitely, I've definitely had mediumship readings that have been helpful in healing. I've had a cousin pass and, you know, it was a really beautiful reading that I could share information with my aunt for. I've had, you know, my grandpa come through. I've had my, my grandma come through and you know it's been beautiful but it's not necessarily something I really love but I think it can give you peace if you're looking for a connection with a past loved one that's supportive I don't think that mediumship or psychics are necessarily always the best route I think it can get funky I think it can get kind of like a little sus every once in a while so having discernment is really really huge a really really huge part of the process so living in Los Angeles I have so much access to supplements to all the thing but I remember over a year ago, finding the absorption co and using their little packets.
1:02:25I use restore energy, calm and sleep all the time. And I remember really thinking about the brand and being like, this is a genius idea because no one really asks about absorption of a supplement before buying something. So for a supplement to actually work for you, your body needs to actually absorb it. And that's completely for me changed the way I think about my routine. The absorption co is so great because they're focused on solving the biggest problem in supplements which is low absorption most supplements absorb at less than 16 percent so much of what we're actually taking never gets used by our body one of the things that I use and really feel a difference in is their magnesium it is my number one stunner of all supplements and I've also add their berberine into my routine this is for metabolism blood sugar and craving support most berberine actually doesn't absorb it's like one percent so I love that they're really focused on making significantly more bioavailable berberine so start taking supplements your body can actually absorb go to absorbmore.com and enter code almost 30 at checkout for 35 percent off your first order that's absorbmore.com enter code almost 30 and check out for 35 percent off your first order so upwork I talk about upwork with my clients all the freaking time I was on the phone with one of my clients last night and I said, girl, you are no longer going to edit your podcast yourself.
1:03:46You are going to outsource with Upwork. And so I saw this little profile said, Oh, she seems like a great fit.
1:04:18We got on a call. She was incredible with Kajabi. She was so incredible, whether you're a smaller business or if you're growing really quickly, their business plus gives you an access to the top 1 % talent on Upwork with AI powered shortlisting that can match you with the right freelancer in under six hours. So this saves a lot of time. This is actually what I've been doing because it does take time to find people. It does take time to vet people and it's kind of a thing but I want you guys to be outsourcing more so you can enjoy your life you can do what you need to do and you can grow your business and still have time for freedom and Upwork is that place to have that at Upwork.com right now you can post your job for free what you're looking for who you need to support you that's Upwork.com to connect with top talent ready to grow your business that's U-P-W-O-R-K.com and then different healing modalities I do believe that our hands heal.
1:05:08You know, our hands have healed in the Bible. I believe that we can heal each other. I believe that there's different healing modalities. You know, Joe Dispenza does a method of healing. You know, there's just so many different ways that we can heal people. And I think that getting attuned over the years has really helped me energetically, to be honest. I don't necessarily use those tools consciously now. I think the attunement always lives with me, but I don't necessarily do it. but I've had really profound supportive sessions. Like I'll never forget when I did the darkness retreat in Oregon where I was in the dark cave for five days.
1:05:45I got out and I did a session with a woman there that was a healer and she put her hands on my feet. And I remember it was almost like my energy field wrapped around her hands. And it was like my hand, it was like there was like hands on my feet that were holding her hands. And I just remember this feeling of like me gripping to her and holding her energetically and just feeling the deep grounding and healing that she was providing me in that moment. And I think that was because, you know, we humans can be so supportive in healing one another. And I think that happens when the healer sees you as healed and doesn't see you as having a problem or issue.
1:06:27Of course, in miracles talks about this quite a bit. But they do work. I think they're really beautiful. I think they have their time and place. And I think discernment is always needed and always necessary in that place. Learning how to not be so hard on ourselves during huge identity changes. Oh my gosh, you guys. I was saying this to a client yesterday. I was like, girl, if you could see yourself now, like she's just, oh my God, my girls just shift. They just blossom. It's so crazy. But I'm like, girl, when we were in the thick of this identity change, if you were not, like, you couldn't, like, we did not need to be so hard on yourself because look at where you've come.
1:07:05I can totally relate to being so hard on myself during huge identity shifts and changes in my life. Oh my goodness. Like how much I can relate. I'm so used to the process of changing and evolving. I'm so adjusted to the process and I'm so used to the process of being hard on myself and criticizing myself and judging myself for not being there, not being successful, not being perfect, not being married, not being on the timeline, not having kids, da-da-da-da. What's really helped me is just remembering that like this is a unique path of my soul. It is my soul's path, my soul's journey. It is not even mine sometimes.
1:07:47And I've never wanted my path to look like anyone else. I've never wanted to look like anyone else. Like, how could I look at Sheila online and be like, oh my God, I wish I had her, you know, body and not want to do her entire routine and workout and, you know, like, no, like, but that's also, it's never going to happen. Like there's a part of our path where you have to just get very curt and real with yourself and very direct of like, sure, you could spend your life yearning to look like Sheila. Or you could get so for real and be like, I'm never going to look like her because I'm not her. And you could look at everyone else's path on the Instagram and be like, why am I not in Bali making seven figures a minute?
1:08:34I'm not. And I'm probably never going to have that. And it just being honest about taking the energy and attention back in. soul where are you going what can where are you taking me like I'm so grateful to be who I am in this now moment I also think when we're in a transition period you also need to accept yourself as you are in this now moment so often people will bypass the beauty and the majesty of who they are in this now moment for a future version of themselves that's never here that future version of yourself that you're so obsessed with is never here because she's always in the future if you believe in time.
1:09:15But you need to really work in this now moment. I accept myself and everything as it is. I love myself. I choose myself. I embrace who I am. I embrace how far I've come. I embrace all the trials, the tribulations, the people, the places, the things that I've been through, that I've worked through to be who I am. So loving and accepting yourself now in this moment as you are, even though you're working towards a future, is essential. Because all we really have is this moment. I think another thing that can be really beautiful for you for honoring the seasons and the shifts that you go through in life is having relationships with people that really honor that too.
1:09:55Having them see you and witness you and being like, hey girl, can you kind of like help me see? Because my vision's a little blurry. and be like, I really need a reminder of who I am. I got you. You're amazing, powerful. You've done so much. You've grown so much. Great. This is why I love coaching. With coaching too, it's like I'm that person that's like, I am the mirror when your vision is blurry. I am the sight. I'm like, whoa, you are not seeing yourself clearly. How powerful, kind, and loving, and perfect you are. Like, let me see you correctly. Let me wipe off the lens to help remind you how beautiful you are, right now as you're stepping to the next version because you guys, I wish that I didn't have to say this.
1:10:38I wish there was something sexier to say than saying you have to love yourself right now. I do. I truly wish there was a sexier thing because that would get so many more clicks and views to be like, you know what it's all about. But it's like, this is what it is. This is the truth. You have to love yourself in this now moment to love yourself at any moment in time. It's loving yourself now that sets the stage for loving yourself in the future. And so the more you can accept and love yourself now, and the way that I do this practically, at the end of every single day, I clock my life and I say, I love my house as it is.
1:11:16I love my friendships as they are. I love my body as it is. I love my job as it is. I accept everything that's going on and I learn to love it. Even if it's a little funky right now, I accept it. Hey, I wish I could X, Y, and Z. I accept it. Even though I'm struggling right now with my body, I accept it. Even though I'm struggling right now with finances, I accept it. Just kind of going through stuff to accept it. And then also like the second thing is asking your friends to see you clearly when your vision's blurry, getting a coach to do that as well. And then just remembering there is no final destination, my sisters.
1:11:51There's some weird thing where we think that one day we're going to be like, I'm arrived. Let me tell you, as a woman that's been around the block, been and seen very successful people, none of them feel like they've arrived. Not one of the most successful people in the world that we have interviewed have ever felt like they've arrived. Okay? Not one. They're like, I need this. What's next? What's next? So there's never a next version. There's you today. Okay. So if you guys want another Q &A with me, you can search Q &A Krista and find other Q &A episodes on Almost 30. I love doing these. I feel like I can just be so honest and real and just sit with y 'all and dig into things that I don't normally talk about when we're interviewing experts and leaders or authors.
1:12:37And also even sometimes when we're in conversations with Lindsay, we're kind of keeping them directed and pointed. You can find more information about me at itskrista.com. It's I-T-S-K-R-I-S-T-A. I work with women who have done a lot of work on themselves and are ready for what's next. I do one-on-one coaching. I do retreats and immersions. So I have those all available at itskrista.com. I have Italy in October, which is going to be super beautiful. I made it more affordable so that more of you could come. And then I also am doing the fully expressed immersion, which is a two-day immersion in Chicago.
1:13:08Chicago was like my home for a while. So I love Chicago so much. And then itskrista on Instagram and there's 800 plus more episodes of Almost 30. So you can dig into so much of Almost 30. It's been a show that's been around for years. We are OGs in the space. We have Morning Microdose, which is our clips channel. It's incredible. It's just like the best of the best of almost 30. 1:13:43Everything that we've been doing over the years means so much. And I hope that I've been a good steward and a guide to you, truly. Like, I'm gonna get emoshed. I'm not getting emoshed. We're not getting emoshed. It's the end of the pod. Okay, you guys, you know what? Peace and love. I love you guys so much. I will see you on the next one. Bye.
