In short
Haley Hoffman Smith discusses subconscious rewiring (especially EFT tapping), identity shifts, and “law of assumption” to overcome fear of rejection and step into an embodied new self through music, prayer, and visualization.
Guest backgrounds
Haley is a singer-songwriter and EFT tapping practitioner (Dreamway membership mentioned). She studied at Brown University (graduated top of her class). She previously worked in a startup, then left to pursue her own path. She also emphasizes prayer and frames her spiritual work as God-centered, alongside tools like astrology/human design.
Key claims
Deep fear around self-expression is often rooted in early rejection memories (e.g., not making audition choirs). EFT/Faster EFT can “release” emotion from those memories so the subconscious stops treating them as evidence. Manifestation works best when you shift identity into “completion” (law of assumption), not chasing. Evidence from real-world feedback (compliments, resonance) helps build new neural pathways. God’s plan and personal desires should be held with trust, avoiding over-specific fixation.
Notable examples
She wrote an album at 14 (“Where the Trees Sink”), later returned to songwriting in Jan 2022 (“Worth the Flight”). She flew from NYC to California to record “Led Me To You” with a pop producer; after release, people asked how to stream it immediately and it resonated emotionally. She describes a “rock bottom” in high school after a breakup, leading to meditation/energy work, and another in 2019 after quitting her startup when her subconscious panicked.

And those lived in my body as such strong activations that when I started to like touch the edge of it, my body was like, no, no, no, no, no. Like shut it down. When I was 14, I wrote an album of songs and recorded it at a studio in high school. Honestly, like I didn't get into the audition choirs and that did a number on my confidence as a singer. And so I was like, oh, this isn't meant for me. And a lot of times it is for our mind. You know, we go back to the moment where we first got rejected when we used our voice, like rejected for not joining the choir.
0:31And validating little me, who wanted to do it so badly, but like honestly suppressed it. I graduated top of my class from Brown. And so I had quit the startup to do my own thing, feeling like on top of the world. But my subconscious panicked. And then suddenly I'm not getting a singular gig.
1:02hello and welcome to almost 30 podcast how's everyone doing it's me it's krista but i'm so glad you're here if you're new to almost 30 welcome to the show if you are a hailey hoffman smith fan welcome i'm so glad to have you and i'm really excited for you guys to listen to this conversation but one of the people that always popped up in my little world in my little purview in my little sphere was Haley. And I just always found her to be so incredibly genuine and so incredibly truthful and so incredibly heart. And she's one of those people that you can feel her energy is truthful and authentic.
1:37And so we had become like little DM buddies over the years, which is such a fun thing in the space to do. And it was so good to have her on the show. This was the first time we actually met in person. And it just felt like such a nourishing conversation. And I think there were so many points that I'm excited for you guys to listen to and be expanded by. What I love about Haley is that she is someone that has truly been like living the work over the years of manifestation, of law of attraction, of positivity thinking, of prayer. She is someone that, like me, prays very much. And it has absolutely changed her life.
2:14So if I could do anything in the world and it's bring prayer to people, that is like I can die happy. And I just find her to be someone that's so supportive in that. So during this conversation today, what do we talk about that you can bring to the group chat? Let me just look at my reminder for myself for y 'all. So we talked about the identity shift that you have to have in your life to live and become the person you want to be. We had to talk about what in her journey has actually created the biggest shifts for her. Because when we look at people's lives, it's like, okay, you live a life. You manifested your dream, fiance.
2:50business is good all as well but it wasn't always like that so what actually got you to that place we talk about the gap of knowing you're meant for more and not seeing it manifested in your life and what you have to do about that and then we also just talked about like the moment where she knew that she was ready to take the leap and she was ready to leave her old life behind so this is going to be such a fun one for the girlies I'm excited for you guys to listen as always thank you so much for being a part of our community and our lives. Thank you so much for being a part of my life and my world.
3:26It's been such a pleasure to see you guys grow and evolve. I got the chance to be with so many of you this past weekend in Chicago for my Fully Expressed. I'm recording this in advance, but it was just such a dream to see so many of you just being who you came here to be, and it's just a dream. So excited for you guys to listen. Check out this episode with Haley Hoffman Smith. You can find her on Instagram. That's where I like to consume her at Haley Hoffman Smith. And she's also has her Dreamway membership. And she also is a singer songwriter, which is I swear all my girlinas are now artists and creatives at this point.
4:04And then send this one to a friend almost 30.com almost 30 podcast on TikTok on Instagram and YouTube. Thank you for subscribing rating and reviewing. Thank you for spreading the love of almost 30 over the years means the world. I will see you on the other side. All right, guys. Well, welcome back to Almost 30. Welcome to the show, darling Haley. I'm so glad you're here. I was saying, I was like, I don't have many IG girlies that I DM and just like gas up because I just kind of cruise. I get in, I get out and with my community, but I was like, you're one of my Instagram girlies and you're a face that I've seen over the years.
4:36And I've just like, I was saying in the intro that I recorded, I was like, you're just someone that you can tell is like authentic about the joy in their life, authentic about what they've experienced that you are like deeply happy like deeply embodied in what you do and it's hard to find with that with our work sometimes someone that like just feels so positive in a way that like I can tell you've done the work and you really have experienced that so I'm so excited to have you on almost 30 today it's such a pleasure we were just talking a minute ago about your music because I was like asking you when you have your song out and I think people that follow you probably know you for EFT tapping subconscious rewiring like just your affirmations and your positivity but maybe might not know your music so I'd love to hear about like your journey with music and how that came into your life re-came into your life because I think all my friends are in their artist area so I want to like inspire everybody oh I love the artist era yes thank you also for having me on it's so much fun to get to be here with you and thanks also for what you said about the energy because something I've been integrating lately is like your joy as an energy can be something that people feel.
5:43Yes. Maybe it's Leo energy, but an affirmation I really love is like you are the sun and people get to feel your warmth just like witnessing you rather than always having it. I feel like, okay, this is, we're getting into a different topic. No, please. Let's go here. Sometimes. I'm happier here. Sometimes I felt like something I've been rewiring is feeling the need to always be like giving and teaching. Yes. I'm like, well, what if I can actually give and teach simply by being in my joy? Yes, yes. So thank you for starting with that because I was super validating. I'm so grateful because I feel like what I'm grateful for in life is moments with Uber drivers, you know, hotel check-in, barista, sandwich maker, like people that I'm just like interacting with on a daily basis when I'm not in teacher energy or I'm not in whatever energy are the people that help me understand how the work works and the light that I have.
6:35Lindsey Simcik:Love that. And I'm so grateful for that effort too, like that experience too. And one of my favorite compliments I ever got in my life was this woman. I was on a retreat in Italy. She's like, you're like this. I was like very insecure. I just felt insecure on the retreat. She's like, you're like the sun. Everyone like orbits around you. Wow. And I'll never forget that ever. You know, you get like a compliment. You're like changes your life. It's just like, I was like that one. I'm like keeping forever. Yes. So good. Yes. Okay. Back to your music. Back to music. Thank you. so music was my original thing when I was 14 I wrote an album of songs and recorded it at a studio now it's not they weren't that good it was called where the trees sink so you can imagine metaphor say less yeah I was writing books to aliens when I was little I love that I have images of me being like the aliens took Miss Hinkins what if we're not even human anyway like full on like yeah I'll show you okay but I also like are you into aliens now too I am an alien I kind of yeah we need to get into this too we have too much to cover we're gonna be here for 10 hours okay but yeah so I was a singer songwriter literally from the jump I just always like felt it in my bones but I just got really far away from it in high school honestly like I didn't get into the audition choirs and that did a number on my confidence as a singer and so I was like, oh, this isn't meant for me, right?
7:57Like, this is something that I love, but nothing's ever going to happen with it. Therefore, like, let me put it aside and let me focus on academics and business and things that feel very, like, in my control, right? Like, if I study really hard, I get an A. I can jump through a hoop to get the outcome. And if I figure out business and I strategize it, which I really love, like, then I can be successful. And I started to feel this, like deep stirring back in 2022 where I was like wait I really miss singing and songwriting and so a bunch of things happened my very best friend Ankita who you know um had seen an old video of me in a song that I'd written and she was like you have to pursue this and that was like my permission slip to fully go after it which gives me chills just to reflect on because you just never know how like the people in your life who really deeply see you will be the catalyst and be the permission slip to be like, you have to do this.
8:48And that was like all I needed. I feel like part of my inner child was like, wait, really? Like really? And then that was just enough to just like leap into it and do it. And so that year for Christmas, I asked my dad for like a little keyboard piano, which is really cute because he's a musician too, has always like done it on the side and has been really influential to me. And I just sat down at the piano one day, January 2022, and I wrote a song called Worth the Flight. And the song is a very long song and it's not, I mean, I've learned a lot about songwriting since, but you know, it was, it was a unfolding process, but coming back into it, I was like, I love this.
9:23Like I truly, truly, truly love this. Making music is just a joy. Unlike anything, I feel like I'm in flow state when I'm in the studio. And so since then, it's been a huge evolutionary process of like finding my sound. Um, I've been working with the music team. So I've done really intensive vocal training and really honed my songwriting over time so it's been a true transition and um now I see it as like a strong probably like one-third of what I want to do in the world alongside obviously like EFT tapping and everything I do with Dream Away and just like getting to share myself but I really love it and I really love feeling fulfilled and expressed in that area yeah and validating little me yeah who wanted to do it so badly but like honestly suppressed it how did you learn to give yourself permission, you know, because or give yourself permission or like allow yourself to create space for it.
10:14Like a lot of women are like, I want to be an artist or I want to do these things with my life. I want to create content. But they're stopping themselves or they're allowing fear or they're allowing the fact that they have a business that's successful or the other parts of life stop them. So how did you get past that to actually create the music? It was so hard. It was honestly one of the hardest things I've ever done. that's where I'm so grateful to have EFT tapping, which I was in real time, like tapping and rewiring my subconscious as I went. Because around every single song launch or every single time I would like write a song and share it, I would feel so much fear.
10:51It was like my body was back in high school about to get rejected and feeling embarrassed or feeling like nobody's gonna care about this. And so it was like every single day, it was like, this is so exciting. I'm pursuing this thing I've always wanted to pursue. and also SOS, I want to hide under the bed because nobody cares or people think I'm bad or I would like cling really, really tightly obviously to like compliments I'd get, but then I'd be like, now I'm so thirsty for external validation that I'm not even like really being with myself in this. And so when I say it's been an unfolding evolutionary process, it really truly has been like a grow a little, okay, tap and let's clear all of the triggers around this.
11:30Stand more firm in my identity, let's alter my self image and like just keep coming back to myself, my connection to God and really feeling like when we are called to do something with our lives, it's because we are divinely supposed to really honoring that and giving that credence. And yeah, it's a journey that's never fully done. Like I feel so much better about it now, truly over the last year, especially, but it was, it was a climb for sure. And so I really honor and validate everybody who's like, Oh, I want to do this, but I just, I don't know how it's like genuinely your inner child or your inner teen speaking up Yeah, like you even saying, you know, you were like, it's like being rejected in high school.
12:06And a lot of times it is for our mind. You know, we go back to the moment where we first got rejected when we used our voice, like rejected for not joining the choir. And I love that you were speaking on this because I just, I want people so badly to remember and know that the path to their greatest expression or their dream life is that. Terrifying, exciting. Terrifying, exciting. It is, it's not easy and it's not easy for reasons that are mostly our internal response to things, our mindset to things. And really it's like continuing to meet the fear, but still do it is just so essential. This weekend I had an event with women and just seeing them be so excited about what they're doing and then also scared at the same time and then seeing them work through and walk through that fire of that fear and then come out on the other side just like feeling like a million bucks is such a dream.
13:03And so for you, was there a moment that was like a, the moment where you're like, whoa, I really feel like I've transformed this belief. I really feel like now I'm at a next level with this. Now this is feeling easier. Do you remember like a shift moment that you had? Such a good question. I think there are a lot of smaller moments and I love the piece about meeting the fear because I've really learned like you have to give yourself evidence and you can do so much internal work and clear so much of the past and even like rewire the memories to think about it differently. But until you give yourself like actual evidence of like going out there and like getting compliments from people or having them cheer you on or like the feeling in your body when you're singing the song or writing or whatever it is that you're doing in your art, like you have to be able to build that on top of it, like build out the new neural pathway.
13:53I feel like for me I had a huge huge moment last summer where I had kind of been like hiding and trying to like work on my voice and in writing the music and I hadn't been working with a producer and I just decided that I really loved a song that I'd written called led me to you and I wanted to work on it with a producer who I'd seen on TikTok and he's a pop producer and I saw how he like could take this one demo and he turned it into like an actual pop sensation I'm like that's so cool and I don't feel it in my heart to produce at all but I love making music and so it's so cool like what you can do with someone else so I reached out to him and I literally flew to talk about worth the flight okay I flew to California from New York City last summer just to record that song which like in hindsight I'm like that that's crazy like I had no I don't know it was just like a gut feeling yeah and I remember even when I got to his apartment that day he had two cats and I'm allergic to cats so I was like I'm gonna stay here for like a few hours like I don't

But that day we made my song, Led Me To You. We literally recorded the whole thing, produced the whole thing, did all the harmonies. It was a crazy day. It was like a 12-hour day. And the next day, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey got engaged. And I was like, this is literally my song, Led Me To You.
17:25because the whole like premise of the song is like all the false starts and endings what was broken was meant for the mending and all those past lives fade to rear view and i don't care because they
17:34Lindsey Simcik:led me to wow and so i was like it's my song so i post about how it's my song and i'm like taylor and travis and it's like so perfect right and everybody on that reel it was like my first time with people being like i need this song like what is this song how can i stream it right now oh it makes me emotional um yeah I was just like oh my gosh like I I finally like the vision the song the song that I'd written in March and now it was August when I recorded it finally like I brought it to life in the way that I wanted to bring it to life in a way that like I couldn't do on my own and it's resonating with people and people love it god and the beautiful thing about music it's like a vibrational frequency so it moves you yes and it moves people and you know in business like you can I can be like I set up a sick funnel this weekend yeah you know what I mean like I transferred over on flow desk now nice same same good one yeah you know like we're going you know all of that stuff but there really is nothing like being in the experience of your work taking a chance on your work and then seeing people there's a difference between being validated by people and having people resonate yes completely you know and I think god you know that's why I love in-person stuff so much and online you can feel that too like when someone really sends you something you can feel the vibration of it you're like whoa I can absolutely feel your impact but to just be like I've shifted someone just by being myself and being in my fullest expression yeah like what an absolute dream it's truly a dream to be like oh this song that's now bringing me so much joy that I can't stop playing it and now everybody else is playing it too and like on repeat and they're feeling the joy that like I infused into the song as well it was like a whole new instrument and medium for yes impact too interestingly yeah how do you I guess for women that are like okay I want to be a spiritual teacher I want to be a creator I want to be all these things but like how does like how does your music like play into that they're like why would I explore creativity or art when like I want to do business I want to do these things like how does your creativity and your expression through music help what you do I think that number one it's like proof of pursuing your dream which so many people have said like oh now I'm pursuing music or anything poetry or something because I've seen that you're doing that too And then I also think about the number of albums or artists that have deeply impacted me, you know, who like they meet you and healing.
19:50They meet you and how you're feeling about something. They bring you joy. And like that, too, is a form of spiritual work. You know, like been a Swifty my whole life. How many times I'm going to bring up Taylor Swift already in this podcast? But, you know, like every single time she's had a song or an album come out since I was 11, 12 years old, like that shifted me. That was a form of like a healing frequency for me. yeah and so now when I hear from people like oh I listened to like I had a song come out last month literally the day before I got engaged called I knew it but it's like a manifestation song like law of assumption like I knew it back before I ever made it is the premise of the song and so when people say like I listen to that song every morning and it just like hypes me up and gets me like in alignment with my vision of what I'm creating for my life I'm like yes like that is like the healing work in action yes but also a song I wrote called brave which is about like healing and letting go and moving on from a relationship that doesn't serve you like the number of people have said like I just cried and cried and cried to that song and then finally felt like I was like letting go and healing like it carries in it like art in itself is so healing yeah art is like the next level tell me about the law of assumption how do you show up assumption okay I'm obsessed to me the law of assumption I love Neville Goddard like anything around the feeling of certainty and normalcy.
21:07To me, law of assumption is really detachment coded too because when we're in a space of wanting, needing, please, please, please, like I was with my music and we've all been there with many things in our life, we're marinating in the lack of something. But when we step into the energy of completion of like, I actually have everything I need or let me like close my eyes and visualize and provide myself with a sense of like, I am already everything I've ever wanted to be I'm already living out the story where success is inevitable then everything slows down you're not in chasing you're not in forcing and you're matching the vibration of the thing that you want which also really beautifully as we know with manifestation like we're really just seeking out the feeling that we think it will give us and we can give it to ourselves when we're doing law of assumption and so much of this too is like seeing it as your identity.
22:01So like with mindset, we have evidence work. So the evidence of, am I really who I want to be? So when I do law of assumption around identity, if it's in like music or anything, it's like, I am deciding, I am already the version of myself who is a musician who's putting out music that's touching people's hearts and minds. Or if somebody wants to put out a book, like I'm an author who's a New York Times bestseller, or it doesn't even matter those titles it's more like I am impacting people I'm doing what I was put on this earth to do and let me assume that energy let me get in touch with that actual divine truth of my identity and then when I show up to do the work I'm naturally going to be more of a vessel for God to move through me instead of let me chase after this because I'm trying to get into this identity or trying to manifest this beautiful yeah I love Neville Goddard so much like he helped me totally re-see the bible I love his work with the bible like he's just like next level but I think law of assumption is such a good practice and I think it's so interesting I'm curious what you think about this because I think so much of the work of law of assumption or law of attraction or manifestation it's so energetic and so people can like lie to themselves yeah and be like in front of the mirror be like I am the most successful artist but the energy still is not that they don't believe.
23:23How do you think people can really know if they are believing what they're saying? Wow, it's a deep question. I think for me, I'm so investigative. So this is where like my EFT tapping, subconscious, breakthrough, rewiring brain comes in. I really think of the law of assumption through the standpoint of first, you have to understand where the limiting beliefs came from. Because your brain is forming a perception of yourself and your identity and to your life based off of what's happened in the past. I was trying to predict the future using the past. So we got to look to the past. Okay, where did you learn this about yourself?
24:00Like I learn in quotations, obviously. So using myself with like my music, for example, it was examples such as nothing happening with that first CD that I recorded. When I stood up to do the callback for the choir audition and like I was so nervous, my voice was shaking like a llama, but like how embarrassing, you know what I mean? and then I like sit down everyone's like oh god that was so bad I mean that is like so embarrassing I know not good I remember I like don't remember any teachers but I remember our choir teacher's name oh wow like it was like she was like such a vibe a vibe okay love that teachers are like vibes totally like I really I really idolize my choir teacher you know I just wanted to live up live up to them yeah yes so funny I remember I went one year I was soprano the next year I was alto I was like what happened wow interesting very interesting it was just head voice in the normal voice.
24:50She can do it all. Yeah. Yeah. But going back and rewiring what those memories made me believe about myself. So for every memory, everything that happens, we take it to mean something about ourselves. It forms a belief system. So for me, it was things like people don't care about my music. I'm not good enough. Or yeah, if I put myself out there and I try, I might get embarrassed and I might get rejected. And those lived in my body as such strong activations that when I started to like touch the edge of it my body was like no no no no like shut it down or like already kind of choosing the neural pathway and the vibration of nobody cares nobody cares nobody cares so I was kind of unable to see a lot of the positive evidence that was coming in so I had to go back and rewire that so I am obsessed with EFT tapping I do a form of tapping called faster EFT I started doing tapping back in 2019 with my practitioner Tiffany Jeffers and she taught me everything I know and I've integrated a lot of my own stuff into it.
25:49But basically we go back and we tap on the original memory, which is you go into the memory, feel the emotion really strong. You might see something associated. You'll feel a panic or heaviness. And then you can tap, which is tapping lightly on Chinese meridian points from Chinese medicine. And it releases whatever emotion is held in that space by regulating your nervous system. So you change your relationship to the memory. So in the past, when like some of these memories were really hard and painful, my subconscious was pulling them up, whether or not I knew about it when it came to pursuing my music.
26:24And when you tap on it, your subconscious doesn't turn to that as evidence anymore, because it's not carrying the emotion anymore. You view it differently. You feel neutral. You feel peace. You feel like that was then. This is now. And because of that, it's so much easier to move forward because you're moving forward without the fear. and then you can also rewire by adding in the belief of what you'd rather believe so like how would i know that i am the singer songwriter that i want to be how would i know that i'm confident how would i know people love my music let me make up a mind move okay i feel like we talk a lot about
26:57Lindsey Simcik:what supplements we take but we're not really talking about are they actually being absorbed by our body and i didn't really think about that at all i was like well they're all just like supplements. Like what's the difference? But no, there is a huge difference. And there is a company, the absorption company that is focused on making supplements that your body actually absorbs, which means they actually work. I've been using their magnesium now for a while and their whole approach again is just centered around absorption, not just throwing up another supplement into the mix. And their magnesium absorbs eight times better than standard magnesium.
27:35Lindsey Simcik:And magnesium is super important for over 300 functions in the body. I noticed better sleep, muscle recovery, digestion. I would say probably the number one supplement I recommend to almost everyone because you can't recommend everything to everyone, but this one I'm like, kind of can. It is phenomenal and so needed. We don't get enough magnesium. So start taking supplements your body can actually absorb. Go to absorbmore.com and enter code almost 30 at checkout and you'll get 35 % off your first order. That's a major discount. Go to absorbmore.com. Use the code almost 30 for 35%. Okay. I am currently breastfeeding and I have unlocked for me the key to producing enough milk, but this is not just for moms.
28:18Lindsey Simcik:This is for anyone actually. Life is busy. We don't drink enough water, but are we drinking electrolytes in our water? We're just drinking plain water. We're not getting what we need. I'm an electrolytes girly. I have been for years and I found instant hydration everybody. It is the best, not only for flavor, but what's in it. So there's zero sugar, there is French gray sea salt, there's potassium and magnesium and there's Aquaman. So it's like a really rich mineral complex in there as well. I love the raspberry. I love the strawberry lemonade is one of my favorite flavors but they have an array of flavors that are fantastic.
28:58Lindsey Simcik:Nothing artificial about it. They're so, so good. Do not drink plain water. Instant hydration is my favorite electrolyte mix. You need this everywhere you go, in your purse, in your backpack, in your desk at work, in your pantry at home. So for a better way to hydrate, go to instanthydration.com slash almost 30, and you are going to get 40 % off your first subscription order. So instanthydration.com slash almost 30, you will get 40 % off your first subscription order. And your brain can't tell the difference between a real or imagined experience. So the more you're visualizing, also alongside tapping, we're like doing brain surgery during these tapping sessions that I host in Dreamway.
29:38Then you're clearing the old memory, building out new neural pathways. It changes in real time your expectation and your belief, which then quite literally changes what shows up in your life because it's changing what you're looking for. It's changing your vibration. It's changing the actions that you take. and it's like a completely new life paradigm that you step into it's the coolest thing ever mind movies tell me more about those it's just little mini visualizations yeah so for anything it is that you even just like something easy you can do if you're worried about something stop drop and roll just like what would i rather believe or experience if this actually went perfectly what would that look like yeah close your eyes play it can just be like an eight second clip yeah then play it again play it again it doesn't have to be these long like joe dispensa the 45 minute visualizations.

30:24As powerful as those are, I can't get myself to sit down and do them. It doesn't have to be that way also. Yes. What is it, Abraham Mix says 17 seconds? For some reason, Abraham Mix says 17 seconds is like how to hold the feeling and the emotion. I was at this dinner one time with these women. They were all like billionaire women founders. They were so successful. I was standing among giants. And the thing that they said that that made them most successful was doing mind movies. Wow. And they basically take like Pinterest boards where they do like images of the things that they want, that they want to manifest and experience.
30:59And then they put their favorite music underneath it. So it evokes the emotion at the same time. And then they just play it. So powerful. And like allow the feeling. So them just like doing that. I actually did that on my Pinterest board as well. Like with some music where you can just kind of like watch to like be in the feeling, evoke the feeling. And then also see the images of the thing that you want to create. I had this weird part of me though with Pinterest or like images where I'm also like, I think there's a part of me that knows how powerful my mind is and sometimes gets afraid that I'm going to create something in my reality that God is not my number one like aligned experience.
31:35Oh, interesting. Do you know what I mean? Like where it's like, if it's my desire, it's good. But it's like, sometimes I think God's plan's better. So sometimes I just like want to not be so precise about what I'm trying to manifest because I just, I think I'm limited sometimes. Like if I think I was like years ago when I manifested a relationship that I was in, I got every single thing I wanted, but I was short-sighted in what I knew I should have. And so sometimes I'm like trying to play with that. So how do you play? How do you think about that? How do you think about like God's plan versus like what we want to manifest in life?
32:08I actually see the two as really beautifully interconnected to a certain extent. So like if there's something that you feel really called to do with your life or a place that you really want to move or a general relationship you want to have, not necessarily with a specific person. I personally don't believe in that. I think God knows who we are supposed to be with ultimately or the journeys we're supposed to take with different souls. I think God places on our hearts certain things like, oh, I really feel called to live in this city because who are you going to meet there? Think about all the things that will happen as a result of you being in that city.
32:42and I think that we all have been given very specific like destinies and callings and it's the thing that excites you the very very most because it's how you're doing God's work on God's earth however I think where we get stuck is when we get so focused on the hyper specifics and this is just my experience because I'm a non-specific manifester in human design same so I found that when I get really obsessed with like I was just thinking today about when I was graduating college, I really wanted to work at a consulting firm, which is kind of funny. And I was like, I worked at a consulting firm. I wanted to work at like a advertising firm.
33:16Oh, my friends are doing ads for Kellogg's. Yeah. And so yeah, you see everybody else doing it. And like a little like what we would like to do, you know, like business or advertising. It was like just enough of what I like to do that. I was like, this is the way. Totally. And yeah, I just wanted it so badly. And like, I've always been into manifestation. So I was like, envisioning it and I had the vision boards and everything and I'm so grateful God was like no you know and like at that I could have taken that to mean something at the time about like my worthiness because I worked so hard for those case study interviews for console oh my god that was crazy yeah and I thought I slayed the interview no none of it it was like pure just complete practice yeah yeah grit I had a case study partner we would have to quiz the number of hours I put in for quite literally nothing.
34:04I'll never forget my interview. I this is when I knew I was a woman. She's the most amazing boss. I had really amazing actually female bosses in all my career of that. And she I met her at the door and it was in Chicago and I was sweating so bad. I was so hot. And I was like and we were I got out of the elevator and she said nice to see you. I was like, yeah, great weather today. And she's like looks at me like sideways. And I was like I'm kidding and we both laughed and I was like I've got this in the fucking bag I love that and then I crushed it I was like yes so good she's funny I was like yes and then the whole rest of the interview she's like tell me about how you were a server at the chicken joint and you can increase sales and I was like okay it's like let me show you this case study I love that it was like literally the best but so yeah you thought you wanted to be that but God had other plans exactly yeah but I just that's my point like it's like if God had given me the pen and was like hey write down exactly what you want at that time I could not see that something so much bigger and better was unfolding for me.
34:59And now I genuinely have my dream career, but like I never, and I would have known that if you'd asked me my senior year of college, if you would have been like, Haley, like this is what you're doing with your life. I would have been like, that's amazing. But like, I never would have known to ask for that. And I never would have seen the path forward. And so it's just trusting so entirely and totally in all the guidance and just like continuing to just surrender, surrender, surrender. Like I only want the highest timeline. And if the highest timeline for me means that it's not that job not that opportunity not the agency not that publisher please please take it away from me please because I don't know I can't see what I can't see it's like you look at that door and I want that door because the door looks pretty and I have an assumption about what's on the other side of it but I actually have no idea and it could derail my whole life so like it's really best to just let God take care of it yeah you've got it but I mean you've done that prayer and I've done that prayer too where you're like please remove anything from my life and I'm like yes oh no where is it oh my god girl I had this one thing where it was like one morning I was in yoga and I was like I don't usually do protective or removal prayers that's just not I'm usually like blessings abundant I'm usually just more a little bit more positive and I was like I just felt very called and it was like god please remove from my life any relationships people or things that like are not supporting me in my highest timeline greatest truth whatever girl hours later hours hours later just wow wow what happened traumatic helpful in the end but like it is just like such a powerful one when you really pray yes so your relationship with god people ask me this all the time like i had someone come on the podcast like i think months ago and she's like so you're religious right and i was like no i'm not no But people assume that when you say God.
36:49What was your journey with God? Like, how do you make sense of God? So, I mean, I used to call it the universe. And I still do because I'm referring to the same thing. But I would say back in 2024, I just, God started to resonate more with me. And similar to you, like, really getting into Neville Goddard, looking at the Bible differently, and starting to read the Bible, like, you get moved. It's an evocation. Absolutely. Yeah. moved. Moves you. Like listening to a lot of worship music. Girl, say less. Moved. Like I had chills talking about it. Worship music was what brought me to God. Wow. Like crying, weeping at gospel, weeping at elevation worship, weeping at Maverick City music, weeping at Chandler Moore.
37:32Weeping. Just like there is nothing like the vibrational frequency of the Holy Spirit in music. Absolutely. I have chills all over again, completely. And so yeah, doing everything through God and the more that I've leaned into that the more I have felt such a peace around my life um more of like a direction I really love like astrology as well and like understanding myself I get so validated for through astrology looking at my transits and I see actually that as an extension of God and I think that's where like the conversation around religion when it's really restrictive and it's like no not a strong I'm like well is it possible yeah is it possible okay just like in my perception totally that they're intertwined right if it's all working for good yeah and it's helping us understand ourselves use like the tools at our disposal like it's so powerful if it's bringing us to healing and like a deep validation of who we are and it's guiding us to live the best lives possible and to be of the greatest service to others so yeah i don't have the answers i think for all all of us like faith is such an individual journey and it's just figuring out what resonates most for you and what deeply deeply deeply moves you and the language around it too honestly matters because for me when I say God I feel an axis shift yeah that like when I say the universe it feels a little more whimsical and cosmic and like synchronistic which like love that but it's been such a deepening to say God I would love your thoughts oh my gosh I just so many points I think the first part that I deeply resonate on and I was really feeling the impact of even recently was the anchorship of God and the peace of having God and I used to be someone that was so um consumed by my desire for success and and to become who I came here to be and to have more and more and you would never be friends with me and be like she like it was just an internal everything for me has always collapsed in yeah where I was just like I need to be better I need to do more I need to be doing this I never stopped working I was burning myself out doing the most just the never enoughness like when are they going to see me when am I going to get recognized when am I when are people going to see how great of an interviewer whatever it was just this constant constant thing and recently just truly feeling this like deep sense of peace and like I just if this is my life at this point I'm so happy oh if this is how good it gets I'm so happy I'm not married I don't have children if this is it I'm so happy like I never thought it makes me emotional to think that I would be at a place where I feel absolute peace in my life and I'm so grateful because having that anchor really gave me that and working with women very deeply in my coaching practice I noticed my women all of my women all over they can be with God or not most of them are because if you're working with me it's it's it's a part of how I'm moving you can move how you want but when they don't have God as as center and foundation I can tell and they're so much less peaceful and there's so much more reaching and searching and I was that for so long so having the clarity of that has just been essential and you're so right there's like a there's just a declaration energy like when you say Jesus that happens that's just so much more powerful than the universe it's almost like the universe you're like avoiding it a little bit I feel like um and I agree I love astrology I love human design like I love all of that I know who like the boss is but I just love to use the tools as well and when you really study the bible like I always study the bible too because I just want to really understand it and it's like divination is only named a few times in it as bad like it's not as intense as we think but I think religion has taken certain things and really run with it to kind of like define itself or keep us from things um yeah but it's it's just been such an important part of my life and I hope for everyone to have an experience where they can feel peace and loved by something that is so ready and willing and excited to love and work with them and guide them more deeply to their life that's so beautiful yes every i'm so glad we're so aligned same i know it's just like do people ever like ask you about it or like say anything a little i feel like i would always get comments on my tiktoks where like when i would call it the universe people would say oh you're talking about god okay and then now that i'm talking about god people are like oh is this
42:08Lindsey Simcik:a religion account and i'm like guys no i'm the same person we're just like relating to things differently and I honestly think I'm like deepening into my faith I'm not suddenly a pastor yeah I mean kind of no okay sometimes when I'm at my events I'm like can I get an amen exactly exactly if I move to tears singing the blessing yes if you catch me crying to gyra yeah it's all good watching Stephen Furtick on the weekends but I think with with worship music and gospel and all of that it's like whatever people it's like just you can't help but be moved even chancing oh my just by the like there is some shift change that happens and you know having that has just been so essential in my path um I was just curious when you were just hearing too with your journey like we were talking about God and then the music and just you're wanting to be a consultant like I would love in this I just would love to hear like in your life have you always been deeply intuitive have you always been spiritual was there ever like a rock bottom moment where you reclaimed spirituality like if someone met you 10 years ago would they say oh yeah she's going to be this person she's so positive she's so spiritual or did you become that I think 10 years ago yes but before that I actually going back to astrology went through a huge transit before my senior year of high school um i believe it was like pluto conjuncting my son or squaring my son but like a major death and rebirth fun time for that fun time fun time for that in high school are you kidding me turn up like yeah when you're the most wanting other people's approval exactly you're the most afraid of being anything else that's yes different exactly yeah it was actually right before the last time jupiter was in leo now today is the first day of jupiter in leo i'm like At that time, I was just really deeply struggling.
44:05It's like I always kind of knew who I was, but again, I'd gotten so far away from it
44:08Lindsey Simcik:because I'd suppressed it so much of like, I should pursue what I can guarantee success in and it's not going to be music and it's not going to be being on stage or being a performer or anything. And so, yeah, because that was like a true, true, true rock bottom, the way it manifested was really interesting. I had my first love and I dated when I was a junior in high school. And I know that's like so young, but. No, that was my first love. Oh, love it. I dated a few men before that, but my first love, I think I was a junior. Okay, there you go. Yeah. Deep. Deep love. Deep love. Yes. And I, because I didn't really know who I was at that time, I had like absorbed his identity.
44:44Like I was, I just fall, because he knew who he was. And so he was about to go off to college and we broke up because I was like, I can't do long distance. I don't know what I was leading into with that because he was like, okay, well then we have to break up. Yeah, I know.
44:59Lindsey Simcik:So like cancel college. you know like if you love me you're like i can't do this you're like looking back he's coming don't worry so funny i mean uh but basically like when we broke up then i was like wait like i don't have anything to fill the void or the emptiness of like not knowing who i am and at first i remember i was like still kind of leaning into like his identity which was very like wilderness hiking which like that's just i here we are in new york city i am the most cosmopolitan girl so like it It was not me, you know, but like, I just did not know who I was. Totally, girl. I had to do like the little experimentation and all that.
45:32But I ended up taking a meditation and energy work class that summer. And it was so powerful for me because I learned how to ground my energy and call all my energy back. And I mean, I was 17 years old learning this, which is like so profound. Yes. And honestly, so much shifted after that. Like I started having realizations dropping in. I just, I felt like it kind of woke me up to this sense of like, I don't fully know where, it's not like I suddenly was like, oh, I want to be a singer songwriter. That took a while, but it woke me back up to my power and the fact that like I can create my life and I wanted to pursue and like be the very, very, very best version of myself.
46:10And then of course, again, it's like this evolutionary unfolding process of all these stages of the journey. The next big, like rock bottom I would say was in 2019 I'd graduated college in 2018 felt so successful because I graduated top of my class from brown thank you I was working at this startup that I really loved but I wanted to do my own thing and so I had quit the startup to do my own thing feeling like on top of the world but my subconscious panicked completely completely panicked and I got so so so stuck like so stuck that like my face was swollen like I looked super puffy I had no motivation everything that I was trying to do at that time I was doing motivational speaking like everywhere that I was pitching myself whereas before I was getting all these speaking gigs when I actually had the job now that I was like your motivational speaking at your what well not at I when I was working at the startup I was also doing motivational speaking
47:04Lindsey Simcik:it was really fun so I was like oh I'm gonna be a motivational speaker like I'm gonna go after this whoa and then I quit my job and now there's all this pressure on it yeah and then suddenly I'm not getting a singular gig and I'm like what have I done I slash like I don't really think I want to get another job because I really felt called to do my own thing um so stuck really miserable year but that's where I found EFT tapping and once I started tapping and I rewired those beliefs and just cleared a lot out of my subconscious then I moved to New York City and within that year grew to 250 ,000 on TikTok and just completely changed my entire life.
47:44And it was the biggest 180 that like I've ever gone through in the most exhilarating way. And it's just continued to grow from there. And a lot of it, honestly, at the beginning, I was like, oh, I just kind of same to you. Like I have these goals and I want to build towards something and I want a large audience and all these things.
47:59Lindsey Simcik:So this was the second time that I was pregnant. And I just love pregnancy because I get so attuned to like everything that I put in my body. And one of those things is my prenatal. A prenatal I recommend highly is from Ritual. The Ritual Essential Prenatal is a part of my routine. And I really love it because it has just these essential nutrients that we need during pregnancy, especially like choline, like folate and omega-3. I also love it because when I'm taking it, the sensory experience, It doesn't smell weird. It has like this little tab in there that keeps it really fresh, like a citrusy taste and smells.
48:38Lindsey Simcik:And I just found it to be gentler on my stomach. First trimester, I was so nauseous. But over the course of my entire pregnancy and I still take prenatals. Postpartum, it's really gentle on my stomach. Ritual selects bioavailable key nutrients designed for optimal absorption. So that's really important. Your body actually absorbs these and all of the products are evidence-based. So don't settle for less than evidence-based support. Save 25 % on your first month at ritual.com slash almost 30. That's ritual.com slash almost 30 for 25 % off your first month. Okay. Can we talk about picky eating for a second?
49:14Lindsey Simcik:I have a toddler. I'd like to say he eats a little bit more than other kids, but he is still picky. So if you have a kid who basically survives on the beige foods, you know the struggle. And with Mav, I just don't want every meal to turn into that negotiation. That's why I have been giving him Ella Ola. It's basically a completely tasteless, colorless vitamin powder. It's not a gummy, it's not a chewable. So into his water, I have electrolytes in there too, but I put it in his water or his milk. Sometimes he'll have yogurt, I'll throw it in there. His oatmeal, don't tell him. Smoothies, super easy.
49:48Lindsey Simcik:And he literally cannot tell it's in there. So it has 19 essential vitamins and minerals, plus nutrients from 15 organic fruits and veggies, including B12, D, zinc, and it'll support his mood and brain development. It's a pediatrician and pediatric dietician developed. It has zero sugar. It's vegan, gluten-free, free of the top nine allergens, and has no artificial sweeteners, dyes, or additives. And honestly, for me, it's just one less thing to stress about at mealtime. Ella Ola is offering our listeners 20 % off your first purchase just go to ellaola.com slash almost 30 that's e-l-l-a-o-l-a.com slash almost 30 the discount is automatically applied at checkout so you don't need a code you can try it risk-free with ellaola's 45-day money-back guarantee so go to ellaola.com slash almost 30 for 20 % off your first purchase then became so much deeper of like returning home to myself and just a deeper peace within myself and feeling like i'm navigating my life not feeling i'm gonna step into a land mind at any given time of an insane trigger or just like deep peace in all my relationships and just within myself and feeling fully expressed again it's a journey I don't think I've like arrived but I feel like a wildly different person in the best ways in ways that I don't think I would have known to ask for back then totally yeah I think I would have thought the I didn't know the peace was possible I would have thought the success was possible but not the peace you You know, for, oh my gosh, as a motivational speaker, like what did you learn about being a motivational speaker?
51:23What was like your topics? Like, tell me about that. So it was about business. So I had a book at that time called, I still do it technically, but it's called Her Big Idea. And it was based off the honors thesis that I did in college about female self-agency and entrepreneurship and venture capital. And so I'd like turned it into a book for people who wanted to pursue starting a business. And so I turned that then into a speech called Your Big Idea, and I would go speak mainly at a few Panhellenic organizations, but mostly entrepreneurship organizations at colleges, and just encourage everybody to pursue their big idea.
51:59And it was very similar, I guess, to what I do now, because now it's more about like pursue your dream, because it doesn't have to be a business. But it was really fun, and it was really cool to see people kind of have that lightning bolt in their head of like, wait, I have an idea and I should do something about it like the idea was given to me it was really it was also just kind of scary you know getting on stage yeah like wow to college kids it's like either we did a college tour and I was like it's it's either like they're like yeah they don't give up yes yeah you know so it was tough it was very tough but I really had to learn I remember there was this one time I was actually speaking at Harvard and so I was so obviously like stoked and proud of myself and there was like one of the students dads was in the audience and the entire time like I think now well I don't know I've tapped on it so the memory is hazy so I think maybe he's like he like phased out but I just remember him just like looking at me like girl he'd never seen someone more annoying and I was like so real how do I stand here and like keep you know when there's like that one person I'm like okay focus on everyone else yeah it was such a good growth opportunity yes I always say with people speaking I'm like find a soft place to land find your one or two people that are just the soft smile the soft face everything you say that gives you that But I also had to realize too, I forget who I, I was an audience member one time when I saw someone speak on stage and I just was like listening and I tuned into myself for a second and I was like this.
53:22Because they were saying something that was actually so profound that I was processing it. And it rewired how I think about being a speaker because not everyone on, when you're speaking is going to be like, oh yeah. And actually, usually they're not paying attention if they're doing that. They want you to like validate them. There's this like cycle happening. And so, so often I have to like remember that when I look at faces on stage of like the people that are like, I'm like, they are really being blown away. That's my number one fan right there. Honestly, life is being changed. They're like sleeping.
53:56Confirm, yes. Confirm. They are meditating and letting it soak in. I've sent them to another dimension. Yes, holding back emotion right there. Yes, they're on their phone. They are taking notes because they have to tell everybody that the speech is changing.
54:08Lindsey Simcik:them. They're blowing me up right now. They're literally following me and tagging me. I mean, okay. So you were a motivational speaker, top of your class. You wanted to be in consulting, made music. You have your business. You've done so many different things and you've pivoted so much. What is your pivot right now? What kind of transformation and changes are you experiencing right now in your life? I really feel called to do lifestyle and blogging content. Cool. Oh my God. I've been loving. You're so good. thanks thank you looks so good i just want to have fun you know say less honey girl i think that's the whole thing is even when you were like oh i don't know if it was before we're talking about aliens i was like girl i started talking about aliens in like 2020 and i'm like i'm kind of over that i just want to like talk about like basic shit yeah you know like you kind of like in the spiritual journey like it's like i've gone so deep on so many different things and even like conspiracy land i know so many of them and it's just like at some point i'm like i just want to kiki yeah i just want to like lay back in a hammock read a good fiction book so real you know make a nice or this is the time and like i feel like i don't know if it's a combination because but then i don't know my reticular activating system is obviously like tuned in for that but i'm seeing so many people say that and feel that way in general of just like you know the last phase of being super spiritual is like becoming materialistic yeah i saw that yeah i saw that like on the private jet i'm like yes or just like yeah just wanting to have fun yes okay great I'm a human like now let's enjoy it you know now that I really do feel peaceful and happy and like now I just want to like express myself and like connect with people and like yes isn't that all I really wanted period so but I like thought I needed the success first or so real yeah I also think for me too with the spirituality this is I think me personally like I um I think sometimes in the spirituality space there's so much spiritual ego that I've always realized over the years of like you know oh I channel Mary Magdalene and also I am like you know where people kind of one up use spirituality to one up stuff and so I've always felt like a little bit adverse to sharing publicly about so much spiritual topics because I'm like there's that and then also too I'm like what is the best most efficient way to get them into spirituality is like God and prayer yes completely and like bringing them to that you know what I mean yeah I think also when I first started doing a lot of spiritual content is so many people would come to me with such profound questions that I'm like, I don't think I'm equipped to be answering these questions.
56:38You know what I mean? Yeah, real. And so I'm like, well, here's how I would think about it. Then I'm like, I, that's not on me. Like, I don't know. I'm also just a human trying to figure it out.
56:48Lindsey Simcik:Totally. And like, yeah, I obsess over this stuff and I pour over the books on it. And like, I'm constantly learning. I'm genuinely geek out over it. Totally. But I don't have all the answers. And I'm not supposed to. Totally. I think for a while there, I was like, I have to have all the answers. So let me figure this out so I can help so many people. Lately, I'm like, let me just share what I feel called to share, what's working for me. And I hope it resonates with people. And that's all I can do. I don't need to be, I don't need to have all the answers. What a relief. What have been your tried and true things that you always come back to in your routine of spirituality?
57:22What have been your favorites? EFT Tappy, my obsession. It is really good. It's so good. Whenever I tap every morning, I literally use my own replays from Dream Away. I love that. Obsessively use them. Whenever I do that consistently, like every single morning, I just feel phenomenal all the time. I'm like, wow, I feel so good having realizations, left, right, up, down. It's just amazing. I also really love reading the Bible. I like to just close my eyes, ask God what God wants to show me today, open to a random page, and then see what it says. And sometimes I have no idea what it's saying. Other times it's hitting really hard.
58:00That happens too often for me, actually. Like I just actually was like, God, if you want me to read the Bible, have it come to me. Because like there's some things in life I just, I need like an invitation almost. Totally. And so I had a friend randomly send me a Bible. And I'll keep it 100. It's an evocation. But also a lot of times I open, I'm like, what's going on? Yeah. sometimes I really don't know sometimes I okay let me try again let's go back to John yes exactly I know my tried and true spot John James I'll just review the ones I understand I'll go back to my faves but I'll read some and I'm like what story are we talking about it's crazy I mean the bible is like poems, stories haikus, talking directly long list of names sometimes when I open to those I'm like I don't know what to do with this what is the message here I opened the wrong page clearly.
58:55Yeah, you got in another one. Yeah. Okay, so the Bible's one. What else? Yes. Honestly, lately it's kind of just been those two. I really love just reading something that gets me beyond myself or returns me to truth. And lately I just really have been finding that in the Bible and asking like, what would God want me to believe about this? Like something that I say a lot in Dream Away is what is the divine truest truth of the situation?
59:20Lindsey Simcik:Love that. And the truest truth is the thing that makes you feel the most relieved, excited, delighted, because, you know, that's the closest to truth. And through that, it guides me a lot back to whatever it is that I need to know. And then again, I do love Neville Goddard. I feel like I was last fall, I was really watching like a YouTube video of listening to Neville Goddard most days. I would say, you know, every few weeks or so, do a good deep dive. take myself to university i'm writing notes like yes his lecture i love him um it's so okay so what would you i guess if someone was like i want to use your quote that you use in dream away membership to their life of like what is the divine truth right truest truth what is the truest truth how could they use that in their life like say they are in a job they don't really like they know they're made for more and they want to become that more but they don't really know what to do like how could they use that in their life to make to move them forward well okay then I'm getting into Nancy Drew mode every time I hear one of these situations I'm like okay well first yes yes first we have to understand why you don't believe you can leave your job and create the new thing like what is the main assumption or belief that's running the show and I go ahead role play okay so I I just don't think I can make money like I I make good money at my job and I don't I can make money doing the thing that I want to do.
1:00:44Where did you learn that? I think I just see it everywhere. Like I don't, at my house and with my family, like not a lot of people do podcasting or do content creation. So I don't really know anybody that makes money doing that. Do you, like when you look to people who are podcasting or doing content creation, like do you have a few people in mind, even if you don't personally know them? Yeah, I love Haley Hoffman Smith. And what do you think she believes about herself? That she's amazing and she's capable of anything and that if it's in God's will she can have it. I love that. So how are those beliefs not a fit for what you currently believe about yourself?
1:01:20I think it can happen for her but not me. And when you were growing up was there somebody who seemed to have it happen for them but it didn't happen for you? My big sister. And what did that make you believe about yourself? That it happens easily for her but not for me. And what would have to happen in your life so that it would happen easily for you? I think I would have to have, I guess, proof that it would happen easily for me. But I don't know how it's going to happen because I don't know if I'm going to quit my job. Got it. Well, what do you think the divine truest truth of this would be?
1:01:50What would you rather believe about yourself? What I rather believe? That I'm capable of making money being myself. And I'm capable of having the podcast and having the Instagram where I can just share my truth and my heart and my spiritual teachings and make money. And if we can make that truth even truer, even more divine, what would excite you even more about that? That I can have the podcast and Instagram account of my dreams and I can make money being myself and I can live abundantly and it can happen really easily for me. And in a way that's really organic and natural. And how would that be like you as a vessel for God by pursuing that dream?
1:02:31Because I'd make people feel really happy and I'd make them feel aligned and excited. and I'd remember and I'd remind them who they truly are. And so does it make sense that you're called to that for a reason and the path is already paved for you? Now what? Now it's happening. Now it's time to do it. Now we tap it in. Now we tap it in. Yeah, now we tap it in. And now every time the memories of your sister and this hypothetical situation come up, we tap and we clear those memories. And it's like, okay. What would I rather believe? And so I'd be clearing the memories of like, my sister having it easily for me.
1:03:00I'd be like, my sister has it happen easily for her. It can happen easily for me too. So actually, in the way that I have learned to do it that's so wildly effective is we would go back into the memory bank. So like, do we have specific memories of times that your sister?
1:03:13Lindsey Simcik:Yeah. Got it. Got it easily. Okay, let's go back into those memories. How do you know you're there? Do you see it? Do you feel it? And then let's tap and let's clear it. Let's tap on the memory because then it's changing the neural pathway from the root. And then let's envision a new truth about it. We could even imagine the memory differently. you're not going to get amnesia and suddenly like literally forget everything that happened but like can you also see yourself getting what you wanted easily when you were a kid even if you're like making it up but it's like a past visualization yeah let's imagine doing like the instagram and the podcast and it going so well and like the best message you get messages you could get from people who really love you yeah and people you're really resonating with and yeah as you tap and you clear the memories it really does change the belief it's like that's what i love about tapping too is it's so satisfying yeah like in real time you're going back and you're like okay let me check it and you're like where'd it go or like i'm really feeling a change yeah i know i do that i do something called um bars do you know access consciousness so i got trained in something called access consciousness in la i have like a bunch of weird trainings that i've done but um and there's something called bars and basically you're holding at certain points on the the head and because it's almost like cranial sacral in the way of like your energy creates um energy between you're able to rewire things wow and um I've literally been in mid talking about a limiting belief and I'm like I don't know what we're talking about like I will be like I have no idea what we're talking about and I'll notice myself trying to catch it and then I'll be like don't catch it like I have to tell myself to not catch it and I'll be like let it go no I'll be driving home and I'll be like I have no idea what that session was about that's iconic no it's so there was a period in time it was like January of 2024 I think I was having a kundalini awakening it was kind of a like manic episode kundalini waking I'm not even really sure but I was doing it every week and I was like cracked out because it was just so many beliefs so many things at once and even with you know you know what's happening it's just like can move things so yeah so quickly it's like it's crazy it's so good I'm obsessed I'm like when in doubt tap it out I know when in doubt tap it out Okay, so the Bible tapping are your favorite things.
1:05:24What are some of the things you see in your community that are like, what are some of the things that they're struggling with right now? And like, what is the message that you'd want to give them? I think it's a lot around worthiness is the main thing that came to mind. So real. A classic. So real. A classic. Classic. Because it factors into everything. It's like a few months ago, I hosted a session in Dream Away called The Hope Wound around, you know, all the times in the past that you wanted something and it didn't work out. And so now it feels scary to hope. Real. and that feels really connected to worthiness very real like bringing faith back in yes and so yeah i would say it's and not to sound cliche but like it is safe to hope and to see like what god is doing in your life like there's that bible verse that says like i am doing a new thing and that just keeps playing in my head the last several weeks and it's like you just never know
1:06:13Lindsey Simcik:when things can just turn around on a dime and also knowing too like it always helps me to remember that we experience what we believe, even if what we believe isn't true. And for so long, I was living by limiting belief. So I was only experiencing it. It wasn't true about myself, but it was the only thing I believed. And therefore, it was the only thing I could experience or discern in my reality. And so knowing that we can change the belief and it changes our experience. And so anything in your life that you're unhappy with can change. And it can change through the Holy Spirit. It can change through you rewiring your subconscious mind, a combination of them both together.
1:06:53And it's safe to hope again because there's so many tools nowadays to help you rewire it, to genuinely change. And when you're called to something, you're called to it for a reason. It's like that song, like, you've called me higher, you've called me deeper, and I will go where you will lead me, Lord. Woo, gave me chills. You are being called to something higher. And it's answering that call knowing it's not just a silly little desire that you just came up with in your head it's an actual calling which means
1:07:19Lindsey Simcik:the way has already been prepared for you it's just about taking the steps to walk forward and to let go of anything in the way any old mindsets or beliefs that say it can't be that way for me god that's so good hope wound that is so good yeah because you can see people stop themselves from dreaming or wishing like that's like most people they're like totally you know i got my heartbroken or I didn't get this thing and they are afraid yeah and it's like painful to hope again in those cases but it doesn't have to and we have to hope in order to let it in yeah right because we're like no no no no way then like God can't work in our lives I remember that so much with my someone close to me in my life with love and relationships they had struggled a lot in love and relationships and in the end just really completely lost hope for themselves with love and yeah it was really tough to see because you could see and I do you know parts work is like my thing so I could see the part of them that was just protecting them from having their heart broken again by telling them that they shouldn't hope yes and you know for the work that I do it's like really being present to the heartbroken one the one that had hope and got you know sad or all of that and rewiring that because you actually with anything you want in your life you do have to have hope hope is like the motivating factor hope is like the belief in action it's almost like faith faith and hope are very similar similar like cousins and so believing that you know is an essential part of the process and I think it'd be an interesting inventory for people and I'll even do this myself of like what is something that I've lost hope on in my life and like where could I bring back that hope of like whatever that is whether it's relationship whether it's friendship whether it's like career and it's interesting and I'm just kind of going on like a little riff but I'm thinking about being surrendered and having hope because hope there is like a there's kind of skin in the game energetically and it's like how would someone stay surrendered but also have hope yeah I think it goes back to make those full circle yeah just have like God's plan first.
1:09:34So I have hope for ultimately being in a marriage or I have hope for ultimately having the career of my dreams. Okay.
1:09:43Lindsey Simcik:Kristen and I have built this business and this brand over the last 10 years, not just by ourselves. 1:10:57Lindsey Simcik:So visit Upwork.com and post your job for free. That is Upwork.com to connect with top talent ready to help your business grow. That is U-P-W-O-R-K.com. I just took my son to the dentist for the first time. It was very cute. He did a great job. I was very nervous that he would just have a total meltdown and not let them look at his teeth, but did a great job. But I was thinking about my own dental health, postpartum, got to get back to the dentist. I was really excited to find this brand for us all. Okay. So it's called Lorene and this is a chewing gum. Okay. This is a chewing gum that is better for you, better for your teeth.
1:11:37Lindsey Simcik:It uses nano hydroxy appetite, and this is the mineral your teeth are actually made of. So this is going to support your enamel health. So if you're eating and drinking things that aren't necessarily good for your teeth, like let's replace it or at least follow it with some Laureen. They sent me some to try and I was like, wait, this is actually very good. The mint flavor is phenomenal. So that's my favorite. I'll usually chew it after meals or after I have my coffee in the morning and my mouth just feels very fresh, which is always a nice feeling. My husband loves it. So right now, Laureen Co.
1:12:10Lindsey Simcik:is offering our listeners up to 50 % off at bylaurene.com slash almost 30. That's B-U-Y-L-A-R-I-N-E.com slash almost 30 for up to 50 % off. But I'm surrendered to how that comes into my life. Yeah. And I trust that the presence of the hope, the fact that it lights me up to imagine having it means that I'm meant for it. Yeah. But in the past, a lot of times too, like the hope wound came from being hyper attached to things that were so specific and so not meant for us a good one right because then we're like oh it must mean about me that i'm not worthy of being in a relationship because i was focused on that guy who was so avoidant like no it was just like god was like no yeah that is not the path that is not the one honey or i oh i'm not worth having the career of my dreams because that one job i wanted so so so badly which like i couldn't see behind the scenes but like had a really toxic workplace yes or there was a better opportunity for me but like we took it to mean we shouldn't have hope anymore yes like sometimes I imagine the divine is like what where are they coming up with this like these are the craziest stories honestly yeah they're like these people are just so yeah I see worthiness a lot do you also see like a lot of women right now I don't know why this is coming through around like abundance yeah and money like how do you see your your audience relating to that like what advice would you give for them to feel more abundant.
1:13:34I think too, last night I was hosting a dream away money date called the responsibility wound. And what was really coming through was money feeling heavy or feeling like you need to be overly responsible because what if it doesn't stay forever? Yeah. And even if more comes in, what if it's just temporary? Yep. Which is also kind of a hope wound, right? Yeah. Or like there's a deeper belief there that like it couldn't possibly be good forever. And I was reading the miracle power of your mind by joseph d murphy at the beginning of this year and there was a line in the book that just really rocked me and it basically just said if the forecast is doom and
1:14:11Lindsey Simcik:gloom then it's not from god and it's not true and our subconscious minds are so rigged to be like what is possibly going to go wrong and to attach the fear story because it makes us feel safe but then we're carrying the heaviness of that feeling responsibility wounds let me be so so so responsible let me always make sure let me double check and it's like keeping our hands completely completely clenched versus like I just think about all the times in the past that I was so worried about money and I'd be like I'm not okay like I would just think that out of nowhere and then I was always fine right but like the fear and what the fear is saying it's never true like all think about all the times in your life you felt genuine fear it was so real for you and yet the thing that you were afraid of didn't even happen yep and so what's the divine truth of that what's the divine And true is true.
1:14:57We're always provided for. And it can actually keep getting better and better and better. And then going back to like rewiring beliefs around it, a lot of us have beliefs around like making more than a certain amount of money, holding more than a certain amount of money. What are the costs associated with making more money and how people might feel about that or what I need to do? And then it's just about rewiring those beliefs so that we can allow in more and feel more safe having and holding and making and earning more. so it's again it's like this combination the stance of like trusting the divine and then also rewiring the beliefs that are in the way of like stepping into the abundance that we that we seek and desire i think with i'm i don't know if this is related to the responsibility one but i see it's because it sounds similar to me but i feel like a lot of times with my women it's like they're like i want to be creative i want to be expressed i want to kind of just be in my feminine and they think that means they don't have to look at money relate to money work with money be you know like in relationship with money and I see that as like oftentimes for me one of the reasons why so many women are not more abundant or successful because of their fear of really being in relationship and being a steward yeah of money and being um having respect for money and having a way to be with money that allows them to be more abundant from a foundational level because they just don't want to look at it yeah they're like I just want to make more like kind of do do my thing and it's like you actually have to have that masculine frame and that relationship with money where you can relate to money in a way that allows your creativity to flow and so I love the point of like a responsibility wound because it is like people assume they have to work harder for money people assume they have to like like continue to like do something they don't love for money like there's so many ways in which and I think right now women are really rewriting their relationship to money like really yeah women are just completely changing the game um what would you say last two questions what would you say like your favorite books to recommend people are like some of your book favorite recs that you love to share with people I love Miracle Power of Your Mind by Joseph D.
1:17:06Murphy. It is a huge book. It is like a giant textbook, almost like a coffee table book. And I will just like leaf through it at various times. It's another one that sometimes I'll just like open up to. I have a book called You Have the Magic. It's about tapping and rewiring your subconscious mind. And let's think. I also, let's do a fiction recommendation. I just read this amazing book called The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Postet. I've heard of it. it is so good deeply moved me what's it about it's about this girl who basically like her great her aunt passed away wasn't her great aunt i don't know why i said that it was an aunt who was great and she's it's a great aunt sounds more like a book yeah yeah it's a magical realism book so whenever she's in the apartment sometimes it flashes back seven years in the past and this like boy is staying there at that apartment from seven years ago but I don't want to give anything else away yeah but it's really good and when I it was my first fiction book back in the fiction world because I had like only read non-fiction for a decade and so when I was starting out the book I'm like this didn't happen like it's also like fantasy like this would never happen and then by the end I'm like like literally sobbing I'm like this book changed me so good that's blowing my mind because I actually started to read that's non-fiction or fiction fiction um there's some things in life I will never understand and that's fiction and non-fiction yeah like I oh okay no no you're like fiction like it's made up fiction's made up fiction non-fiction fake not made up okay okay no I'm never gonna know this I know it's a lot left my mind already so I read some my one of my friends is like you have to read fiction so I started to read some and I think I came at it with the same brain that had been reading self-help and like yeah of course the miracles and like c.s lewis and richard and all these people and i actually came in the first book i read i was like so fake yeah literally i was like what's the point no i was like typical story i was like two guys want her one's bad one's the good guy like i just was kind of like picking it apart totally and that's so interesting because you do kind of come at that frame with things and you kind of have to let yourself remarinate in like a fantasy or like a dream book yes instead of also for me i'm always like she needs to tap on that belief like about the character of course now it's like gilmore girls which i've watched literally 12 times so now when i watch it i'm like if they would just tap their relationship would be amazing people that love gilmore girls i was actually talking to someone the other day she's seen it like 12 times too yeah i'm like it's a vibe it's like energy have you watched it never seen it this fall it's your moment i don't know it is such a it's like a vibe like that's what i mean though it like holds you in its embrace like it feels like yes fall and cozies and it's like the warmest feeling okay yes i will try i most things in life i've never seen like it's i just am i don't know what i love about gilmore girls is it's so good for your nervous system great there's no drama really like she has like some issues with her mom it's like about moms and daughters basically which is where i'm like you guys need to tap but it's very like light-hearted yes and comforting that's what i like i was just watching dallas cowboys cheerleaders except this season things are getting heated so i was like just like intense with them yeah so my
1:20:17Lindsey Simcik:nervous system was a little activated yeah but I need because I was like god she's gonna I was like she has to get hip surgery she's 24 like I was like it's insane that's a lot you should watch it okay I'll check it out it's so good um what are you excited about right now where can people connect with you where can people find with you anything you want to leave with our women today well I have a song coming out next week called sun kissed and actually the whole song the sun kissed is like a metaphor in the song for feeling like touched and guided by the divine wow so all All the lyrics in the song are about like, I prayed for this, I got this.
1:20:47Like, I prayed for a spark, now it's all aglow. Or I once like wanted to go faster, but now I love this pace. Wow. I prayed for true love and was led to him. My fiance, so I'm excited about planning a wedding right now. I'm getting married next September in Lake Como.
1:21:02Lindsey Simcik:Oh, bless me. So that's a big one. So yeah, it's a very happy season in many ways. So good. And everything I'm doing in Dream Away, I'm just literally obsessed with. I feel really grateful to have a business that I genuinely use religiously and obsessively and get to connect with so many other people who want to do the same through it. Yes. Yeah. So we have some Dreamway up levels coming soon and it's all good stuff. Oh, I love the idea of up levels. Yeah. That is so dope. I can't wait to watch your wedding stuff. Wedding is such a portal. Yeah. Like engagement is such a portal and it's going to be so beautiful.
1:21:39Thank you. Like it's so good. Thank you. Thank you so much. Okay, guys. Well, I hope you enjoyed. Share this with a friend. And I'll see you soon. Yay. I love you. Bye. Bye. From the publisher
Haley Hoffman Smith, manifestation teacher + EFT tapping practitioner, joins us to talk about mindset, personal growth, and the courage to pursue the dreams that won’t leave you alone. She shares how she stopped playing it safe + became the woman she knew she could be.
From music to money, identity, and faith, Haley breaks down the beliefs that can keep us stuck—and how EFT tapping, subconscious rewiring, and the law of assumption helped her change what she believed was possible.
She also gets real about surrendering control, trusting God’s timing, and letting go of the need to know exactly how your dreams will happen. If you’ve been afraid to hope for something again, this episode is a powerful reminder that your next chapter might require you to believe differently before you can live differently.
We also talk about:
How Haley found her way back to music after years of suppressing that dream
Why rejection can create subconscious beliefs that follow us for years
How EFT tapping can help change your relationship to painful memories
The power of “mind movies” for creating new emotional evidence
Why manifestation is less about forcing an outcome + more about embodying a new identity
Haley’s journey from motivational speaker to creator, musician, and spiritual teacher
What it means to trust God when the opportunity you want doesn’t work out
Why she believes it’s safe to hope again after disappointment
The spiritual practices she returns to, including EFT tapping, prayer, and reading the Bible
Letting yourself evolve instead of feeling like you need to have all the answers
