0:00The following podcast is a dear media production.

0:08Welcome to Breaking Beauty, the podcast all about the breakthrough people, products, and moments in beauty. We're your hosts, Jill Dunn and Carlene Higgins.

0:21Welcome back to Breaking Beauty podcast, everyone. I'm one of your co-hosts, Carlene Higgins, and I'm here with my friend and your other co-host, Jill Dunn. Hey, everyone. Hey, Carlene. Hey. How's your summer been? It has been excellent, especially when we're here in New York. I'm so ready to do some shopping. Heck yeah. Well, a little behind the scenes, it was Carlene's birthday week this week. So she's celebrating for a few extra days here in the city. Leo season. So she's going to be the star of the show for this week. Yeah, I'm going to be treating myself and treating myself right. I can't wait to get the text.

0:57I got this for 80 % off. I know. But if you are new here, welcome. We are two longtime magazine beauty editors turned beauty podcasters. And if you've been around for a while, you probably know that we are more than 450 episodes deep at this point. And we're chatting about the breakthrough people, products and moments in beauty. Join us on YouTube. Join us on Instagram. And today we are doing a hashtag damn good episode, which is where we sort of put our editor hats on. Not sort of. We do put our editor hats on to review products in market. what we deem to be hashtag damn good. So we do the damn goods episodes once a month.

1:34And every year we do a Hall of Fame episode, which is what we are bringing you today. And the Hall of Fame is a compilation of the very best products from our damn goods that stayed in our rotation. Yeah. And some new products that we may have missed throughout the year. So we are so happy to bring you our 2026 Hall of Fame. Updates. Updates. You're going to hear about the latest skincare that we deem worthy of the crown, the Hall of Fame crown. Yes. We're also going to be talking about makeup and hair. Yeah. Lots of hot topics to cover also in the mix of it. And of course, you can shop every single thing that we talk about on BreakingBeautyPodcast.com.

2:16We'll also link it here below in the YouTube description. So let's dive in, Carlene. Yes. Let's start with skincare. because we know that's what you really love probably the most out of all the categories. So Jill, what is topping your Hall of Fame list? Well, I think you can't talk about 2026 skincare and not talk about K-Beauty. Absolutely. We did a whole episode a few months back about Olive Young arriving here in the States, and they're going to be within Sephora soon enough, coming in Canada as well in 2026. So K-Beauty is everywhere. It's not going away. And one brand that has just exploded.

2:51I feel like there's a handful that are just viral machines. MediCube being one, Anua being the other one, Biodance being another one. And they are just launching products that go viral all the time. So one product that I've been really loving and it has gone viral is the Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum. That is$23 in the U.S., which is incredibly affordable, and$31 in Canada. I'm holding it up. I'm sure that most of you have seen it online. And so the whole point with azelaic acid, as we know as beauty editors, we've been told by dermatologists, azelaic acid is really great for soothing, reducing redness.

3:33And this has made it onto my top shelf. I have emptied one of these already. I really love how nonsticky it is, how it really does calm everything down. And it's just been a go-to ever since I tried it. I also feel like azelaic acid is the ingredient of 2026. We were kind of saying earlier in the year it was PDRN, but the ingredient that all the cosmetic chemists and everyone is talking about is azelaic acid. It's basically gone viral. The reason that it's in the news is because there's a creator who is Irish and did a post and basically said that azelaic acid in its raw ingredient form is a powder, kind of like zinc, like a white powder, where it's always going to have that quality to it, which is why it typically is in a cream.

4:23And so the point that they were making was if it's in a clear formula, there's some kind of marketing trickery going on because you cannot have the amount of azelaic acid that they're claiming is in the formula in a clear serum. Right. So this creator, I'm going to give them credit. The handle is at Skinecologic. So it's like S-K-I-N-E-C-O-L-O-G-I-C. And I agree with this creator. I've used the ordinary azelaic acid before. What really is often the signature of azelaic acid in that type of over-the-counter formula, it's gritty as fuck. Right. It's gritty. You put it on your face and you're like, therefore you don't want to use it.

5:05Yeah. So all I can speak to is my anecdotal experience using this product. And I know a lot of makeup artists use it as well. I do notice the reduction in redness. But yeah, I'm sure that basically the bottom line was when I, because a lot of people pushed back on this and they were like, well, I've had great results with it. And this creator was not refuting that. They're like, you could. Yeah. But it may not be in thanks to the azelaic acid. Right. Because there's probably other ingredients in it as well, which I don't have the inky in front of me. Right. They said, this particular creator said that it's about this neutralized dead, it's what they call a dead salt version of azelaic acid.

5:47And the salt, which is called sodium azelaic, isn't a different ingredient. It's the same azelaic acid molecule with its protons temporarily removed, whether it's in an acid or a salt. That's the debate. And if it's acid or salt, the form is purely a function of pH. And so that swaps back and forth in water. And so it really, the azelaic acid barely dissolves in water, like we just said. So a light serum, instead of that gritty paste, you have to solubilize it. Solubilize. Correct. So that is what the difference is. It's a different form of azelaic acid in this serum to make it that pleasant. It's funny because I see so many people are on to this following this narrative.

6:37So now if anyone recommends an azelaic acid serum online, like I'm seeing regular, you know, Jane in the comments and she's like commenting. But what's the pH, though? I think the point made is a fair point because it is a tricky ingredient to work with. If it's working for you and you think it's great, it's in our Hall of Fame, baby. Yeah. And I also think the price point, I'm very mindful that a lot of the things that I'm talking about today are not super budget friendly necessarily. And I just think that that is the beauty of K-Beauty is how many affordable products there are. And without hesitation, I would recommend this.

7:16Okay. For the products, efficacy and whatever. But I would love to speak to this creator also. They have so many great videos. I know. Call us. Yeah. you know exactly so on that note k beauty we're definitely giving a hat tip to in 2026 for our hall of fame and the product that i am nominating or anointing yes hall of fame worthy is the metaheel metacascoside blemish pad it's 24 us and 32 in canada so um what it is these are square toner pads and they have centella asiatica and niacinamide to soothe irritation, calm redness and fade post acne dark spots. Right. So I know what you're thinking, Jill.

8:04Why are you putting a blemish pad into the Hall of Fame when you don't have any blemishes, which is true. But I now officially have a tester in my household and that is my daughter. And, you know, one of the things with my daughter is that she's been really frustrated because she has her mother's beauty cabinet to raid, yet the acne has persisted. Yeah. And she's 16. She's 16. Yeah. And that's one of that's one of the challenges is that, you know, being on acne journey, you really do need consistency. You need to be using the products that are right for you and then using them over time to see results.

8:44And so it's not about just grabbing every single product out of the closet, right? So I have asked her, okay, over the past year, out of all the products that you've used, what do you think is the one that you actually saw at least some kind of difference with? And this was the product. Great. So I had to shout it out. I think it's great that she's seeing results, it was awarded New Beauty's 2026 award for best acne pads. And we know that this brand MediHeal, it has like a record breaking streak, maintaining its number one position at Olive Young for two consecutive years. And with this specific blemish pad leading the global trend category.

9:27I feel like toner pads are a huge trend, obviously, and MediHeal, they've been, they were an advertiser on our show several years ago talking about that. And I think, I don't know if it's totally coincidental or why, but, or what, but like MetaCube came on the scene after MetaHeal. I know. I always get the two confused. But I'm just saying, was that by design? Because MetaHeal was already a well-known name. But I find the brand name, I'll be honest, pretty mind-blowing that they can call it MediHeal. Yeah, it's true. In North America, I do not think that that would necessarily get past. Well, you would know as a brand founder, like, yeah, do they, do they stipulate what words you can or cannot use?

10:10A lot of this stuff is just about who's going to take them to task. If nobody does, then it's not a problem. MediHeal, baby. Because we know like you can't use the word heal in cosmetics, right? So exactly right. So what did Ines notice? Was it blackheads or? She just noticed clearing. So she has sort of deeper, like dark spots along her jawline and along her forehead as well. And then she also has like clogged blackheads in her nose. So she just noticed an improvement in all of that with the pads. Less congestion. Yeah, exactly. All right. Love a K-Beauty find. Love it.

11:00Today's episode is brought to you in part by Jones Road Beauty. So one of the things that I love about this whole Gen X movement that's happening in the beauty industry is that these products aren't just about gimmicks and marketing. These are products that have to live up to mature skin needs. This is why I think Jones Road Beauty is nailing it, especially when it comes to makeup. One thing that we all have in common over a certain age is fine lines. And so we all struggle to find a foundation that's not going to break apart in those areas or make us look more wrinkled than we truly are. And I trust nobody more than Bobby Brown to get the job right.

11:42I'm loving their new foundation stick. This is something that I like to use when I need more than a tint. It's newly launched and it has skin care forward ingredients that's giving you like that real coverage, feels weightless on the skin. It is dermatologist tested. It contains ceramides, squalene and sodium hyaluronate. And those are ingredients that just leave your skin looking really nourished. They cater to the barrier, which I really appreciate and your skin just looks super natural. It's not going to be too matte, not too dewy, just smooth and even. And it comes in 30 shades to match a wide range of skin tones.

12:24Modern day makeup that's clean, strategic and multifunctional for effortless routines. For a limited time, our listeners are getting a free full size mascara on their first purchase when they use code beauty at checkout. Just head to jonesroadbeauty.com and use code beauty at checkout. After you purchase, they're going to ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them that Breaking Beauty podcast sent you. And now back to the show. Welcome to Over 50 and Flourishing, the podcast for any woman who feels like she's lost her compass in this sea of midlife. I'm Dominique Soxa, news anchor, current YouTuber, author, and like you, somebody who is still learning and growing and asking a whole lot of questions.

13:09It is never too late to change direction and rediscover the strong, wise, and beautiful woman within. That's why I created Over 50 and Flourishing, a podcast to help us navigate the changes, the challenges, the joy, and the freedom in this season. Here you're going to find honest conversations where we might laugh and cry all in the same hour. Let's flourish together in mind, body, and spirit. Nothing's off the table. New episodes every Monday, wherever you watch or listen.

13:53What's next for skincare? Okay. French Pharmacy. Of course, we're always talking about French Pharmacy. I'm introducing you to a new to me brand. It's called Mimitique. French Pharmacy brand. is the Skin Restore face cream that I love. They have two different versions. Unsurprisingly, I like the normal to combo skin. And then they have one for dry skin as well. And this was founded by a French pharmacist. Her name is Fabien. It's her first name. She's a trained cosmetic chemist and her parents are dermatologists. Okay. And I don't even really know what magic she put in this cream, but this is the third one that I've almost emptied.

14:32That says a lot. It's just there's some she has a proprietary complex in here, which I always find it's interesting when brands talk to us about a proprietary complex that's named like 14 letters. It's like to the consumer, what does that really mean? Right. But it is proprietary to the brand. It has squalene in there. It has glycerin. It's just very plumping and juicy. And I find as I've gotten older, you definitely just need more of that hydration. But as an oily skin person, it's hard to find something that's just not greasy and that is just juicy and plumping. Yeah. And she crushed it. What is the biomimetic mean?

15:10That is like because of her background in cosmetic chemistry, it's like this complex is meant to mimic the skin's lipids layer. and I guess that binding that you were talking about on another day. Okay. And she sells it at Violet Gray now, at Goop, Living Beauty. I was first put onto this brand from Sally Hughes at The Guardian. She was talking about the Cloud Cleansing Balm, which is also amazing. But the moisturizer in particular, I think is very much a winner and is 85 US dollars. Okay. And then in Canada, like 110. Yeah, I need to try this. It's also Bon Marché. Yeah. So like all the big materials.

15:52in France. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. All right. Well, on that note, I agree with you. French pharmacy, I'm a big fan of as well. And so the product I'm putting into the Hall of Fame is the Bon Jout Le Balm. Yeah. This is a luxury purchase. It's$130 US,$180 in Canada. It's available at Credo. This is the beautiful little box. So the branding is on lock. It's very like an Hermes orange if you're not watching this. And the product itself is very unique. And that's why I wanted to feature it because it's in, like you untwist it and it basically is a bomb inside. So kind of like a Jones Road type of idea, you're meant to like crack it.

16:38I just use my fingernail and then you... So it's like a solid serum. That's right. And you melt it with your fingers and then you apply it. And what I think is really great about it, which we haven't talked about a ton, is that it is a waterless formula. Yeah. And so the beauty of a waterless formula is that everything that is... Can I try it? Yeah. Everything that is in there is doing something. There's actually 68 concentrated actives in this serum, which would explain the price. And they are... Smells familiar. Does it? Yes. It's such a pretty, like, gentle floral scent. It's not overwhelming at all.

17:26Like, I find, I always say I can't use perfumed moisturizers on my face. Right. But when it tends to be these more, like, natural essential oils, my face doesn't, like, react in a negative way. I'm not saying that's universal for everyone, just for me personally. But I met the founder. Her name is Natasha Bonjout, hence the name of her brand. Yeah, is it Bonjout or Bonjou? It's probably Bonjou. Yes, it's B-O-N-J-O-U-T. That's right. Okay, so probably Bonjou. Yeah. Yeah. So she is a French pharmaceutical doctor. So she is legit. This is what's happening, right? They're just like, oh, you want to talk about French pharmacy?

18:08We're going to actually be in the pharmacist. Yes, exactly. like a relationship or like tie on to that. But it's like we're going to see more dermal cosmetic brands coming out. Right. But what I appreciate about a brand like this is that this is the part of French pharmacy that people don't talk about a lot is that even though it's a pharmaceutical product, they really respect botanical ingredients. There's a homeopathic element to some of these formulas. It's the idea of like bringing science to homeopathic remedies. Yeah. And I think that's what I appreciate about French pharmacy is that they have the data that it works, but it still is kind of they still have this natural component.

18:55To me, they're blending old world knowledge with new. And like when you asked me about Mimitique and what they actually say the Mimitique speaks your skin's language and the formulas match skin's biology for optimal absorption. But you're right. Like when you read the ingredients on the label, they may be familiar. You've seen them a long time. Yeah. Calendula, arnica, aloe. Those are very popular ingredients. Those are ingredients that are in my formula as well. For Cassatt Beauty, Carleen's wine. Which is inspired by French Pharmacy, but also just... That will make the Hall of Fame this year too.

19:30Oh, I'm not I'm not putting it in myself, guys. I wouldn't dare. And so anyway, she what I love about this is like I met with Natasha and she genuinely goes to the south of France, like these 68 active ingredients. She meets with the ingredient suppliers. Love it. You know, she is I'm not going to say it's handcrafted. I have no idea if it is, but it's like that special French approach that you get with like fine perfumes almost is what she's brought into this skincare, very conscious, every step of the way she's involved in. So it's a very beautiful line. And it's said to be a solid serum. So they say it can replace many steps in your skincare routine because it's a serum, it's a moisturizer, it's a primer, it's all these things in one.

20:24for myself. I like to think of it as a bomb. So I would use it at night and I like to use it on a plane. I like an occlusive layer on the plane, just that kind of barrier feeling. Yeah. So I love it for that. Have you been using it? Yeah. Okay. It's just that taste level. Yeah, exactly. You know it when you see it. Exactly. Yeah. But the other thing I love about this, this solid serum is that she went to market with one hero product, which again is kind of like I'm doing with Cassatt, it requires a little bit more education. So it is, I appreciate that the credos of the world are bringing this in and taking the time to educate the consumer.

21:06Yeah. Amazing. I want to introduce another affordable find to our Hall of Fame. And this is the Personal Day Soft Slip Priming Milk. This is 32 US dollars. It's only available in the US right now. It's at Ulta and it's at personalday.com. This is Lily Reinhart's brand. And color me shocked that I'm putting this in the Hall of Fame. I know. But it is wonderful, especially for people who are acne prone. I believe I talked about this recently in the episode we did about celebrity beauty favorites. Yes. And this is just a standout from her line. Yeah. And then it's a very good line. A lot of people are talking about it like in that are not they don't even know she's associated with it.

21:53So the formulas are great and it's kind of like the road glazing milk, but better if you are acne prone. It's lighter weight. It's not as sticky. And it also has this like squeeze. It's really easy to travel with and you can squeeze it out versus the road, which you have to tap out. Yeah, this is easier. OK. And I really like it. And then another quick induction. Let me just put this on. Another quick induction is from Sophie Pavitt. Last year, I inducted her Mandelic Acid Serum for breakouts and it's great. I've emptied that. I've continued to use it. Where did it go? So I want to shout out her Omega Moisturizer.

22:37This is the Omega Rich moisturizer. Again, I've emptied several of these. Great for the winter. Really great as a barrier cream for everybody. But especially just with her, everything is formulated. So, you know, you're not going to break out. Yeah. Exactly. She is the acne whisperer after all. Precisely. And what's interesting about her, and I hopefully will be able to review it soon enough, but she just came out with a microdermabrasion scrub. Remember I said I thought that scrubs are coming back. So I'm interested in that. When an esthetician's bringing out a scrub? Yes. We haven't seen a lot of that recently.

23:16Yeah. Okay. Anyway, so that is, and just to give you the price, everybody on that, it's 64 US dollars at Sephora. Okay. Well, I was going to go ahead and put Sophie Pevitt's Micellar Cleansing Pads in the Hall of Fame. So the hits just keep on coming, I guess. These are 24 US dollars. These are non comedogenic, biodegradable micellar pads. And, you know, they're designed to remove makeup and SPF without leaving any residue. And that's what I love about them. And I think that, you know, we were always so anti-wipes in the past because they have alcohol in them. They're terrible for your skin. So these are just so handy to have for travel.

24:00They are excellent. Like I'm always going to have them with me. And I am a big fan of micellar cleansers as well because there are no rinse. So you don't need the alcohol in them that you would find in these other formulas. And they're really just they're not leaving a residue on your skin. Right. By the way, everybody, she's not officially in Canada yet. OK. Doesn't ship to Canada, but I'm sure she'll be at Sephora Canada soon. Oh, definitely. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Would love that. Please come.

24:38Quince is supporting our show this week. I'm the last person to rush out summer. Trust me, I love the dog days of summer and just sort of leisurely taking them all in. But I'd be lying if I didn't let you know that sometimes I'm also shopping for fall clothes on the side, you know, like just looking ahead to what I might stock up on in my wardrobe. And Quince, they really prove that you don't need a crowded closet to look incredible. You just need the right pieces to refresh for the season ahead. And Quince, they specialize in effortless, high quality essentials like the ultra soft organic cotton and premium Mongolian cashmere sweaters.

25:16I have so many of their cashmere sweaters now. Absolutely love them. And they hold up season after season. I have a navy one that I get so many compliments on. They're beautifully tailored, built to last, and they transition seamlessly from morning meetings to dinner. And they also have premium stretch denim at Quince that is priced 50 to 80 % less than similar brands. So it's such a win. And Quince, they're able to do that because they work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen. So you're paying for the quality, not the brand markup. And they don't just have apparel. Quince also brings that same everyday elevation to everything they offer.

26:38I'm sure a lot of you have as well, but I will never forget the experience when I was in a big department store here in Toronto and I booked a fitting with a proper expert in the field and she was from Wacol and she knew exactly what she was doing. The bras I took home that day fit like a glove. Fast forward and I was just able to do that experience virtually. This was a couple of weeks ago. The person who helped me was so nice. I was able to do my own fitting just by having her walk me through the process. It was really easy and I cannot wait to get my new bras because they're really pretty, but also I know they're going to fit again.

28:42All right, Jill, we're going to get into makeup now. And I noticed that you have a bottle on your table that is awfully similar to the one that I have on my table. Did we pick the same thing? Same, same, but different. Okay. All right. Well, I'm holding the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation, which is$60 US, 80 in Canada, investment piece. So do you have the matte version, I'm guessing, for your skin type? I do. I do. Well, the headline of 2026, Hall of Fame, you know, we are talking about foundations because every foundation basically got reformulated this year. They still are rolling out. Huda Beauty, like it just doesn't stop with the reformulations.

29:20And I talked about this Dior one a couple of times now. Now I talked about it as being my favorite in that episode, but now I am officially putting it in the Hall of Fame. And I think it's one of the rare examples where they improved because that also is a reformulation, but where they improved upon the first iteration. And I think it was a little confusing to people that there was a glow version and natural matte. Yes. Right. So we're talking about same formula, but different finishes, right? That's right. Yeah, that's right. So mine is a medium to full coverage foundation that gives you glow without the greasiness.

30:03And I like that because I have more of like a normal, I guess, quote unquote, normal skin type. You're more oily prone. 42 shades across six undertones. Yeah. It's said to have 86 % skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, niacinamide, which is in everything. I really don't give a shit about that. I just think that the wear is so good. It's unbelievable. And it's not breaking apart, you know, on the sides of my nose, like in the fine lines on my chin. So that's why I love it. And this one, the one that I have, if not to be confused, it's called the Dior Forever skin wear, flawless skin, true foundation, 24 ultra wear, no transfer, triple action care.

30:46It's just unbelievable, but it's like a natural matte finish and just the same thing. It does not break apart. It looks great on you. The color is really, the color suits me very well. Hard to find, especially, you know, this year has just been such a journey with the Armani Luminous Silk, which was once in our Hall of Fame, but no longer as they reformulated. That was my go-to. So I'm, yeah, I'm loving this one. And I would definitely buy this myself. So I'm a fan. And thank you, Peter Phillips, for nailing this. Yeah. The makeup artist behind Dior. Yeah, he's really killing it with the Dior formulas.

31:23I'm a big fan. I've met him before backstage. Yes. At doing runway shows. And I'd love to have him on our show. He is a true artiste. All right. Well, because it is the year of foundation, I have to add another one. Sorry, guys. This is the Natasha Denona High Glam Foundation. Yes. It's$52 US,$70 in Canada. I'm wearing it today. And I have to say, I've been really impressed. Yeah. So this is also one of these serum infused liquid foundations, which we've heard a lot about. I find what I like about it, it is a radiant finish because like I said, for my skin type, That's what I like. But it does give you this like really airbrushed effect.

32:04And I think that lives up to its name. And what she's done is she has combined like all of the best tech from the world. It's made in Italy and but it uses K-Beauty Innovations and it has this Japanese amino acid coated biomimetic pigments is what they say. that's supposed to like fuse with your skin's natural oils. And I do think that's kind of what's going on. There's a feeling that it's not sitting on top of your skin. Right. And again, it's that idea of like, I can move and I don't have that break apart feeling that we often get. It's also said to be self-setting. I used a setting spray. I didn't use any powder, but yeah, I love it.

32:49And 52 shades. That's a lot. And a makeup artist brand, right? I talked about this at the end of 2025 as a buzzy launch from last year because sometimes we don't necessarily get to cover these things. And at the time I said it is going to be beloved for women over 40 because it does have that glow. It's blurring also, but it just, it's not for my skin type. Yeah. Yeah. It's like a little bit too shiny. Perfect for me though. It's perfect for you. So I do think it's going to be beloved by a lot of people. What about you, Jill? Any other foundations? Well, I've brought a few budget fines for this episode, but I also have to admit that these are worth the money.

33:32These are the Victoria Beckham Foundation Drops. And trust me, I did not want to like them. So these are foundation drops so you can put them into your moisturizer and it just gives you the best skin tint of your life. Okay, I need to try that. And these have gone totally viral. And it's just that thing like you put it on. And I think I might have said this in the other episode too. I was just like, oh, okay. Skin looks completely flawless. It's absolutely wild. And it's the partnership she's done with Augustina Spotter. So it's again, a proprietary thing, TFC8. And it has skin loving ingredients.

34:10So it's going to make your skin look better over time. But it's just perfectly on brand for her. Yeah. You know, again, that taste level. Yeah. But I am going to tell you how much they are. Hold on to your hats. One hundred and ten dollars. Wow. U.S. 156 in Canada. Wow. Wow. And I think maybe that even could be I think it could be going up from there. No, it's not. It's I believe I don't know, maybe I don't know the exact fill size on this, but you shake it really well and then you can wear them a little bit goes a long way. And it's not if it doesn't feel like this is obviously not something that I'm wearing today under cameras or with cameras, but it's like a great everyday make your skin look absolutely insane.

34:54Yeah. Oh, it's it's they're so good. So Hall of Fame worthy. And I think especially if you have drier skin, you will love. Amazing. Yeah. Well, speaking of gorgeous makeup that's been coming up for people our age, the Sarah Creole face flex concealer and complexion enhancer. Yes. I was like, how is this not in our hall of fame already? Because I know we're both big fans. It's$58 US, 78 in Canada. So it is an investment. I do find a little bit goes a long way though. And it is a very flexible product to use. Like you can use it under your eyes because it is that like flexi technology where it's not going to settle, which is probably one of the biggest issues that anybody over 40 has is like, how do I use concealer under my eyes and not have it actually accentuate my makeup there?

35:48So she really knows what she's doing when it comes to product development. Speaking of Victoria Beckham, Sarah Creel was on our show because she was one of the initial founders alongside. I don't know her exact title, but she was definitely in that lab and created a lot of the iconic Victoria Beckham products, not the foundation drops, I don't think. But like the eyeliner. The eyeliners, the satin kajal liners. Yeah, she was the mastermind behind those. There was a couple other things. Yeah. So went off and created her own brand. And it turns out, lo and behold, the makeup products are really good.

36:2012 hour crease proof concealer. I would attest to that. Hyaluronic acid, caffeine for a bit of that, like brightening, waking up the under eye area. Aloe to deep puff keeps it like feeling hydrated, you're getting medium coverage. There's 20 shades. It's said to self adjust for undertones. I can't speak to that. I only have the one face, but yeah, it's a beautiful product. It's worth it. The other one though, that I would be remiss not to include in our Hall of Fame is the House Labs Concealer. You initiated the House Labs Foundation last time. That's exactly right. And that's why that's the only reason why I didn't put the House Labs concealer into the Hall of Fame is because I was like, I'm not going to put both of them in at the same time.

37:10But truth be told, when I was reviewing it, I was like, I would be remiss not to have it in there. So this one is$32 US and 44 in Canada with 31 shades, also medium buildable coverage. It also has some great ingredients, like it has Arnica in it, which I think is really cool. That's going to help with like inflammation and puffiness. Right. And it's great under eyes. But yes. And I like on to be honest, I don't have a lot of lines under my eyes. Right. Right. You just that's not your bugaboo under your eyes. It's not. And my final induction into the makeup hall of fame is the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush.

37:51I cannot believe that was not in our hall of fame. It wasn't? No. No. It wasn't. And so I'm just giving it a show because I use it all every day pretty much. Yeah. It's so blendable. It's so pretty. It's great. Okay. Well, I'm going to put a blush in there as well, and it's going to be K-Beauty. This is the Romand Juicy Roll Cheek. Okay. It's like$8.50 in the US. I think it's$18 in Canada. There are eight shades of this. It's a round. It looks like a little ball or a very, very large marble. It's so cute. It's somewhat reminiscent of the Merit little ones, but this one's more of like a sphere.

38:28and this is like a multi-use pot because you can use it on your lips. You can use it on your cheeks. So there's a shade that I don't have here, but I am obsessed with it. It's the Nougat Coco and it has like a bit of a brownie, bronzy shade to it. And I just love it because what these do is that you roll them on your cheek and they kind of melt in. They're non-sticky, but it gives you that dewy glass skin look. That's what it's all about. Like when you apply, I'm totally doing a glass skin look today. And it just, it's like that bit of a wet formula, I like to say. So what it reminds me of is the Chanel Le Balm, the sticks, which are quite expensive.

39:13So like those are definitely in our Hall of Fame. So for$8.50, I feel like this is giving you that glass skin look. And some of them are a little bit more pigmented, but the bronze one is almost, It's like a, it's hard to explain. It's like a highlighter meets bronzer, kind of like the Say Glowy Super Gel. By the way, they're coming. Have you tried their new shade? No. Of the Glowy Super Gel. I think it'll be the one that might sell me on that product. It's called Beach Glow. Oh. It just dropped. I'll be using it. That is my ride or die. Yeah. If I was on a desert island, that product in bronze would be what I would have.

39:51It just came out last month. Into it already. You're like an unofficial ambassador. They need to give you a lifetime supply. The new shade is called Beach Glow. People who don't love it, once I show them how I use it, they love it. Amazing. Yeah. Which is under the hollows of your cheeks. Yeah. I use it as a bronzer. So I apply it just like you would a bronzer. Excellent. Okay.

40:26AG1 is supporting our show this week. I know that all of my friends, they're so booked and busy in this time of our lives. Everyone is thriving. Everyone is doing the most and trying to make good choices that support their overall health and wellbeing. And you know that Carlene and I I've talked about AG1 so many times on this podcast. It's been years now that we have been working with them. And I'm really excited because they have a brand new way to experience AG1. And that's the AG1 Essentials Gummies. So they're 50 vitamins and minerals and whole food sourced ingredients in one daily pack of eight gummies.

41:04They've really simplified it all so we can get out the door, but feel like we are doing great things for our daily routine. So most gummies on the market, they trade nutrition for convenience. And that is not the case with AG1. The AG1 Essentials, they are third-party tested, NSF certified for sport and free of GMOs, gluten, dairy, egg, peanuts, and artificial sweeteners. So they're very easy to fit into your daily routine. And when you're on this routine, you'll notice more energy. And just knowing that you are starting your day with a healthy habit, it really gives me the motivation, frankly, to keep making good choices all day long.

41:45So if you want to check out AG1 Essentials for yourself, you can visit drinkag1.com slash beauty to grab the new AG1 Essentials gummies today. That's drinkag1.com slash beauty. We'll link to this offer in our show notes and on our website. Once again, drinkag1.com slash beauty.

42:16So we're going to finish it off with a few hair items because, heck yes, you've got fabulous hair. Let's hear it. Okay. Well, I'm going to start with another Chris McMillan product. Last year, we inducted the Chris McMillan Glassy Smooth Blow Dry Spray. It's really great. It gives you so much smoothness. Love it. I really have been using and loving the Chris McMillan, the styling bomb. Now, I still I traveled, you guys, with the original sample that he gave us because it's a little the styling bomb. My one the one drawback is that it's in a glass bottle. OK, so I don't often travel with it. I love this.

42:56And it's just a lot of styling bombs are so sticky that I just can't handle it. But this you put on to smooth flyaways. It does not like leave your hands all sticky. Even before I came on camera today, I tried to do a little touch up. It is just fantastic for smoothing everything. Yeah, he's nailing the formulas. Oh my gosh. And I just got his hairspray to try. And I learned a tip from Chris. When he put this product in my hair, he like manhandled my hair. And that's what I started doing. And I find that that's really, I didn't do that today, but that's when you really get the really good smoothness.

43:38He was like, it's like he's pulling, you know? Right. It's like, it's not just like, it's like he's working that into your hair. I'll never forget his tip when he does Jennifer Aniston's hair and he curls her hair. Yeah. He turns off the curling iron first. Yes. So it's hot, but not scorchy hot. Yeah. Yeah. He's Jennifer Aniston's hairstyle. I love him so much. He also just launched a hair oil, which they just sent me. And I expect fabulous things as well. Love him. Love him. Love him. We'd love to have him back to just talk hair tips, you know, on the show. Another brand that I've been loving pretty much everything she comes out with is Rose.

44:18It's the line by Mara Rozak, who is the hairdresser. And this is the Milk Hair Serum. Love it. Once again, it's in a glass bottle. I know. Drawback. Yeah. But see, I traveled with it in the box. It's just wonderful as a detangler, smoother, just that milky texture. It's not sticky at all. Very hydrating. I love it. You love it as well? Yeah. Okay. And I'll use it two ways. So like you, in a pinch, I'll use it instead of a detangler, like when my hair is wet, but I could also use it at the end as a finishing product because that's always what scares me about oils is I've gone through the trouble of curling my hair and then I'm worried if I put an oil, it's just going to take away the curl and make it look stringy.

45:05So I love that texture, that milky texture. It's like perfect where I can use it as a finisher, smooth flyaways, but not ruin my hairstyle. Now, one thing that I'm very interested in, but I have not tried it yet from her, she just launched a milk styling mousse. so I think if you have like a slight wave or curls it's going to be like next level for body and and like defining but I'm I'm really excited I love everything she's doing with this shampoo I love that shampoo and conditioner as well that is a that is a good example of one that actually is for all hair types yes agreed it's called the foundation yeah maybe we should induct that as well because it is really good.

45:48The shampoo is it has this like jelly. Yes. Consistency to it that I have not seen in the market, but it's not drying either. It's wonderful. I'm a big fan. Well, we're going to finish it off with probably the best buy of the day. You guys, this is the Dove Bond Strength Hair Mask. It's$10 US, 15 in Canada. This is a really chopped up, well-loved jar that came. I traveled with it all the way from home from my shower. It is so good for the price. It's a 10 in one drugstore hair mask that uses bioprotein care and peptides complex to strengthen broken bonds. So, you know, it's said to be about the whole bond technology.

46:33I can't swear to that. All I can say is that when I use it, my hair is so nice and smooth after, it is a noticeable difference from other conditioners or even hair masks that I would use. So bang for buck. This is a huge winner. Definitely deserves a spot in our Hall of Fame. I love that one too. That one, I think that's an example of a hair mask that does not weigh my hair down. It's really silky. Yeah, it's really silky. It's awesome. And my other shout out, I forgot to shout it out, guys, but I have to because I use it three times a week. The K18 Air Wash Dry Shampoo. Why use anything else?

47:15Why do you love that so much? It is literally so oil absorbing. It is incredible. It gives you so much volume. It is just unlike any other dry shampoo on the market. I think a lot of other dry shampoos are like refreshing. Yeah. Yeah. And but this one is actually like boom, like you and it goes on wet. It's air wash. So you put on wet and you're like, yeah. Yeah. And then and then you let it dry and then you massage it all in and your hair is so really fresh. And like if you sweat a lot in a workout like this would like make sweat disappear. Wow. And then it just dries. It dries. It's white at the beginning and then you massage it in.

48:00What I do is I put my hair up and then I just spray where I need and then I just work it in with my fingers. And it feels a little like there's something in there, right? But they also have something in there to like prevent odor. So it's clinically proven to eliminate odors, reduce oil and keeps working for up to three days. So I put it in my hair like three days ago. Wow. Okay. And it really lasts. I'm going to try it. You've sold me, by the way, it's$48 US and$65 in Canada. Yeah. Let's not forget.

48:33I'm giving one final shout out. ASMR. MEJ Clips. They are amazing. They are an investment. But Carleen wears hers all the time. We literally have the same one. This buttercream color holds all my hair. And that's that. Yeah. Yeah. And Hall of Fame worthy. I love the jumbo. This is a jumbo. Yeah. We love the jumbo. And I believe it's 36 in the U.S. and about 49 in Canada. So it's an investment, but that it's like weighty. You use it so many times. Cost per wear. Totally worth it. And this was, I think, last year when we did our 2025 like holiday gifting. Yeah. That was like the most popular thing we talked about for gifting.

49:17Yeah. Because they have so many variations. It is a great gift. They have a version right now that's eyelets. So it's like an accessory. Yeah. No, they always get it right. So that's it, everyone. That's our 2026 Hall of Fame. Thank you so much for joining us. And like Jill said, everything we mentioned will be listed over on our website at breakingbeautypodcast.com. And yeah, we have the Hall of Fame from all the years. So these are today the additions for 2026. So there's lots to shop in our Hall of Fame.
