0:01Morning, morning, or welcome. Yes, I have grown a tash, I have got a nose ring and I am covered in tattoos. I am your barista for the day. Welcome to Espresso Short, Snappy Espresso Short podcast episodes. I've literally downloaded all the wisdom from all the founders and all the brands, like Good, Tills, Coconut Collaborative, Candy Kittens, Little Moons, Planet Organic, and I've distilled it into this micro, short, snappy wisdom to give you a mahoosive edge on the day, to kickstart your day. So look, without further ado, let's get cracking and enjoy this espresso shot. it's almost kind of what i do like a tuck shop of one sentence lessons that listeners could implement immediately other than obviously naivety is a power what would yours be i suppose we'll start with you kia mate people are going to think he's got shares in your podcast but i think perry from big fishes think big dive deep swim fast for me that epitomizes the mindset of a challenger business and a startup business i just think that it's such a great phrase and one that every startup should be applying to their day-to-day.

1:08I would definitely go back to that thing we said earlier, the Rory Sutherland thing, which is never following logic. This world that we live in is so competitive. Everyone is trying to stand out. And so how do you stand out from the crowd? You just don't follow logic. If you're setting up a train a company look how fridges are marketed just it's yeah i don't know just do everything that you can do differently so yeah never follow logic because if you follow logic gets you back in the same place as everybody else a place where you really don't want to be i think embrace the mistakes and learn lean into that i think is really really important i think a lot of people try and sort of navigate the startup world sort of as if it's they're carrying this box of really fragile glasses and are terrified of breaking anything and actually if you go out there like that i don't think you're ever really going to get get to the place you need to go you need to really be bold go a little bit gung-ho at the beginning and just try things and you're bound to make mistakes but that's okay that's how you learn thank you so so much for listening it honestly means the world to me i hope you enjoyed your morning coffee and go and have an amazing day let's be having ya if you want the fun episode it will be in the show notes a link will be in the show notes the full episode thank you so much please leave friends as well means the world to me Um You
