Welcome to Espresso short, snappy Espresso short podcast episodes. i've literally downloaded all the wisdom from all the founders and all the brands like good tills coconut collaborative candy kittens little moons planet organic and i've distilled it into this micro short snappy wisdom to give you a mahoosive edge on the day to kick start your day so look without further ado let's get cracking and enjoy this espresso shot i kind of think that because you're so in love with the idea of whatever you're doing when you start a business like I always describe it like a toxic relationship it's like you're so in love with this idea of something that even if they treat you like shit and everyone tells you don't do it you're still holding on to this vision of like but I'm in love with it I've gotta do it and I think I think that actually they say a lot of entrepreneurs you know it's harder to be a second time entrepreneur because you've got to have that blind faith to put up with all of the kind of horrible things that might come along the way and you tend to only have that when you're naive and being a first-time entrepreneur so I think it's blind faith and boldness but I think even if you act boldly and I've definitely done a lot of things that are shameless of course there's an undercurrent of anxiety there of like oh god is this the right thing to do but what you said from that book makes a lot of sense like it's very it's very interesting approach in terms of like double downing on things like doing anything hesitantly people can see exactly your vulnerability and they'll see that it's not authentic so if you can kind of just do things with confidence then people believe in you well and also fake confidence i think and i think i need that this whole thing of what robert green says is audacity is easy correctly with more audacity so it's just like so there's nothing about as a challenger brand i've just got to say fuck it like even if i'm absolutely cacking myself there's there's got to be some sort of boldness in the way you do things and i think what you said there about there are so many moments where you've got to stay naive so interviewed jamie lang and ed williams from candy kittens then interviewed perry from big fish and we were talking about how naivety is a superpower thank you so so much for listening it honestly means the world to me i hope you enjoyed your morning coffee and go and have an amazing day let's be having you if you want the fun episode it will be in the show notes a link will be in the show notes the full episode thank you so much please say friends as well it means the world to me
