In short
The hosts chat about winter skin care and HRT, then share travel plans (Sicily, France, Portugal, Morocco, skiing). They do “Wreck-a-Serk-O” product recs (chocolate-covered Toffalossus biscuits, SAD lamps, and space-saving craft cabinets). They read listener stories: (1) a money/relationship advice request framed as potential financial abuse, (2) a disastrous Valentine’s Day sex/policewoman story involving a BB gun, and (3) a parenting rant about Roblox introducing facial age checks to prevent adult-child chat mixing.

1:11Anna Williamson:But you know you love it. Good morning. Good morning, our beautiful listeners and viewers galore. Welcome to another fresh week of Luanna Le Podgecast. I don't feel fresh, I feel dry. You feel dry? Dry. I do. It's this time of year, isn't it? it's everything just needs you just need extra moisturiser all the time. Do you know what I saw that keeps popping up like an advert on my Instagram and on my Facebook because I still use Facebook because I'm old but it's like this oil you put on in the shower that like really moisturises your skin. Is it the Avon one? No it's not Avon. Is it what? The Loxitan one.
1:53No it begins with a big. That smells delicious. I think all of the Kardashians really rave about oiling in the shower. Really? Well, if they do it.
2:02Anna Williamson:Well, then it's good enough for us. Well, I'm going to try and source one for in Dubai because water's really hard in Dubai. Is it? That's interesting. Really bad water. Oh, so yeah, definitely a bit more moisture. But you put the oil on. Yeah. Real slick. Do you know what? Is that jojoba oil? Jojoba. Isn't it called jojoba? Jojoba. Jojoba. Depends where you're from in the world. I don't know you know you said the other week to me how this wasn't on the pod or anything but you were saying about how you forget when you've done things all the time and then you realise how much you love them and then you go oh yeah I'm falling oiling in the shower is one of them I used to oil in the shower I used to have oh my god I used to have a sanctuary you know the sanctuary spa in fact actually I've got my little lotion I used to use they had a spray I don't know if they still do it but they had a spray in shower oil and it was really nice it was really light so it wasn't greasy or heavy and I used to do that.
2:56Anna Williamson:How do you shower? Before you get out, before you get your towel around you, just a quick spritz. I used to have a moisturiser, a shower, a wet moisturiser and you used to put it on wet skin before you got out the shower. I like that. I'd forgotten all stuff like this existed. I used to do that. We need to go back to doing that. We did it when we were younger. We bloody needed it. And I've got scaly legs. I've got like the worst scaly legs in skin. And you always, I know my feet look revolting but I genuinely moisturise and twice a day. Do you? Yeah, it's this time of year. Yeah, but you might be over-moisturising now.
3:28Anna Williamson:Maybe only see a podiatrist. I haven't started very well with my hypochondria this year. I've been on characteristically well. Well, we're only in February. I mean, that is true. Actually, yeah, I have been actually. Slightly hypochondriac-ing for my record second this week. We'll go on to that in a minute. But how, yeah, how's everyone? Good week? Good. You'd be proud of me, girls, actually. I have well I've started 2026 you know I think well the HRT's working for me you love that fucking HRT it's making me feel so much happier is it yes maybe I need some HRT I hadn't realised what a cantankerous miserable old bitch I was last year I never thought that about you thanks babe but I felt it within myself really I was definitely a very very like ratty wife like Alex did did say you do take it out on the ones you're closest you do he did say whilst hiding behind a cushion when I went can I ask for honest feedback I went how do you think I've been over the last like you know 10 weeks or so since been taking me progesterone and he was like I don't want to get it wrong um but you've definitely been more balanced and I was like very diplomatic yeah he went you've been less sort of picky or eggy about shit that annoys you in the house like he said you've been less sort of jumping on us when we've left something out like you've been allowing us to sort of just move it a little bit within our own time as opposed to like shouting at the house for leaving the house you know yeah so i think i've just been a little bit more mellow it's probably how i'd describe it a little bit happier i'm not gonna lie i feel a bit more content big win for the hrt yeah you get a few side effects when you start it what you like well they've gone now thankfully um but again the clinic were great because you check on in i was like is this normal they're like yes it is absolutely well i felt actually the irony being one of the symptoms of the peri is and menopause is what was feeling a bit more anxious like you just feel a bit more stressy about stuff like when you crash an estrogen um but when which i sort of had i haven't hadn't really been feeling but once i went in the first couple of weeks i definitely noticed my anxiety had got a lot more and i was feeling just quite like tight in the chest yeah sort of and quite very tired but apparently that's the progesterone, but it's just all your hormones rebalancing.
5:45Anna Williamson:But I'll be honest with you, I've had a cycle, I've had my period, back on my HRT, and I have to say, I am very pleased. She's like the poster girl of HRT, it's all we hear about now. People listen to this pod like, fuck me. I know, alright Davina. You're like the new Davina McCall. Do you know what, it's because I was really, really nervous about starting it. I really did, I'm going to be honest with you, I did feel quite stigma around it. For me, I was like, Christ alive, HRT, I feel like I'm all washed up. but I think that's the difference with it I think stigma's changed around that now it's just your estrogen levels have crashed love you need to boost them back up again so anyway as a result of feeling positive for 2026 yes you know the goals that we made our aspirations for the year I can't remember them mine was to travel a bit more because we've been stuck in Renault land so we've decided Al and I have started to do it and we have decided to have our little Italian venture oh and we've decided as well because the kids are a bit older it's really important that we need the kids to be properly bilingual because everyone in Alex's family is bilingual trilingual actually we feel it's very important you know what you should do is get an Italian nanny I know that is actually you should get an au pair do you know what we've looked into that it's very hard to find we haven't found anybody well you know why it's hard to find because they're in Italy Brexit well possibly that yeah but also we don't need anyone really living in but they do Italian club and stuff and they speak so and also they haven't really embraced much of their Italian inherited in recent years.
7:12Anna Williamson:So we're doing a bit of a pilgrimage. Oh. So we've got the house that we're going over for several weeks over the summer. Oh, yeah. That's nice. And we're, yeah, we're going back to... I am not to blame for once for Luanna's summer break. Exactly. But I can fly back if I need to. I can fly back. Oh, you don't want to do it, exactly. But no, we're looking forward to it. So we've, yeah, we've got... Where are you basing? In Sicily? Yes, in Sicily. Sorry, yes. Sicily, where Alex is from, Cefalu, which is where... Well, they film White Lotus, actually. for fans of white ladies. I never watched that.
7:42Anna Williamson:It's highly annoying because now fucking Jeffolo everyone goes to because it's beautiful. It's like Rome by the sea. You know it, don't you, Ims? Yeah, it's lovely. It's stunning. So we're sort of a bit of a pilgrimage. Well, we've sort of kept it quite open-ended. Oh, honey. Because it turns out, I mean, I don't want to be... You might be moving to Italy. Moving to Sicily. Oh, no. It's a bit slow. It's a bit slow. You wouldn't live there for a lot. No offence to everyone, but a lot of the younger Italians move out to Milan and all Alex's cousins work in Milan and Rome and then you all end up back there because there's no jobs there because there's no jobs exactly it's great for family but all of the rallies they all move out to more mainland Italy for that but yeah so well three weeks whatever but it then turns out Alex knows the owner of the house which we didn't know but of course everyone knows everyone so he's jokes aside he is related to Alex's cousin so that's all good so yeah so we're going a bit with pilgrimage and we're going to The kids never even, it sounds a bit weird, but the kids, they're non-no, like Alex's dad.
8:41Anna Williamson:They haven't ever been to the cemetery where the family tomb is because they bury them outside. You're taking the children on a pilgrimage to the family tomb. Yeah, exactly. Wonderful. But you know in Italy, I'm sure they do it in other Mediterranean countries, but they don't bury in the ground where they all are. They start stacking them. They stack, yeah, they're all in stone tombs. So each family in the cemetery, like Gator's Cemetery, has a stack, basically. Like a sky rise. Yeah, it is. But then you put pictures. It's like a block of flats. It is. As time goes on. Yeah, it is. It's like, how bloody high is it going to get?
9:11Anna Williamson:But, like a climbing walk. Yeah. But you have, their photos are on all the tombs. So, like, yeah. I mean, it sounds awful. The last time I went to the family cemetery, it was when I was pregnant with Elle. And I just used it as an opportunity to see which Italian names I liked. So I'm going around. I went, oh, that's a nice name. Yeah, Liliana. You didn't choose Luisa. Luisa, that is a lovely name. And it's Italian. It is Italian, yeah. That was out of order. I really thought you were going to call our at least middle name. Louisa. Yeah. That's nasty. I've replaced her existing godmother with you.
9:45Anna Williamson:You're now her godmother. Yeah, I've replaced. You have. You are now. Yeah. And Indus. Yeah. Yeah. You are now her godmother. Isn't it weird? Like when you choose godparents, I'm not really close now to any of the godparents. My children. I remember. Oh, we went family because they're Catholic. Yeah. So it's all family, really. But you're now. You're now the official. Well, you're doing Italy. we're doing France nice we're going to do three weeks in Saint Tropez oh nice yeah so we've got we've Andrew did a little recce he flew down there a few weeks ago to look at some houses and then we've got a house sorted and I am taking some of the horses with me are you are you yes I am from Dubai to France or from England I'm going to fly them from Dubai to England oh yeah right yeah for the summer and then And I'm just going to drive down to the south of France with a couple of them.
10:37A little horse trailer. And there's a stable like about 50 minutes from where the house is. Up on the shuttle. So I'm going to, yeah, I'm going to drive down there and take a couple with me. Love this. So holiday plans for the summer. This is what we do at this time of year, guys. Then I think we'll do a week in Portugal as well. And then the rest of the time here in England. I mean, Dixie, can we just talk about my, she'll be 16 at the time, the hot girl summer she's going to have. she is doing obviously France with us and Portugal with us she's got Spain with her dad Bermuda with her best friend
11:08Anna Williamson:alright Dixie I know she's living her best life that's right love it why not she can only spend 21 days in England over summer oh really yeah well tied to my tax status isn't she brilliant that's kind of well so I'm like darling where do you want to go next off you go taking her to Morocco as well nice yeah we're going to go horse riding in Morocco together so I just keep like shipping her out that's it I'm like where do you want to go now Bermuda no problem sweetheart done off you go but what a lovely opportunity to be well travelled like anyone would buy anyone's hand off for that and her little bestie lives in Bermuda yeah she went there last year as well but yeah I know her yeah cute kid cute little seren yeah seren and I'm going oh I'm going skiing soon actually after this episode oh yeah you are aren't you you're not doing it this year oh because I'm slebbing I'm in the middle of We're all celebs at the moment.
12:01Anna Williamson:Otherwise, jokes aside, I know you were going where we went last year. Actually, Alex and I said, oh, we'll jump back on and go the same time as you. I'm filming, unfortunately. To be honest, I'm not taking the little ones because we booked the ski holiday and then we moved countries and we weren't actually meant to move to Dubai until March. That's right, yeah. And we ended up moving earlier. And so we had this holiday booked, this like, well, do you know what happened last year? I am a cheapskate, okay? So last year, I booked the chalet and stuff at skiing. And it was a good location. Yeah, you were in a good location.
12:38But I would say it's a bit tighter than we were used to. Well, we walked in and actually there was like a full-scale family argument with this fucking chalet. Was it that bad? It was bad. I walked out.
12:48Anna Williamson:You never told me this. No, it was really bad. Oh, my God. I was in my bougie one over the flipping river. I literally, it wasn't even bad. It was just like they were fucking kids arguing over the bedrooms. It was tight for what we're used to, but it was fine. I was like, look, it's cheap for us. By normal standards. I was just trying to be... Economic. And anyway, so I was like... A calf to the pennies, babe. Massive family argument. And I ended up fucking walking out and just like disappearing for an hour. I was so pissed off at everyone. You never told me that. No, I don't know. I was fucking fuming.
13:23I knew you were pissed off on the holiday for a bit. I actually had a breakdown. I knew the kids I was like you can all go fuck yourselves you spoil little fucking shithead brats like and I lost the plot and then anyway so Andrew took control of course this year and booked like a bougie chalet nice for us all nice and then we moved and the kids don't get half term that week so of course they don't oh yeah
13:47Anna Williamson:that's why you changed it to compensate for us moving earlier and Dixie still obviously being in England I was like darling we've got the chalet I've booked like Bill Ski no Billy we love him who I went to school with it turns out Lou's ski instructor so again this is how this is how Lou and I work last year genuinely I had already been booked on a ski trip in Morzine in France with a mate of ours who booked it and we just load of families went and then Lou was like oh we're booking a ski holiday by complete coincidence went and booked in Morzine and we were at nine minutes away from each other in Morzine and then it turns out Lou's ski instructor that she'd booked went to school with me.
14:27Anna Williamson:And worked in the pub. Yeah. We like literally, oh yeah. You like grew up together. Yeah. Anyway, so I'm now taking, this is next week by the way guys, Dixie and five of her friends with Andrew. So it's like me, Andrew and the teens. I am so excited. This is going to be fun. I know. Just girls or boys as well? No, I've got three boys and three girls. I like the boys. I have to admit, after never wanting boys. Boys are great. I really, really like the boys at her school. My boy is my Achilles heel. Honestly, they're brilliant. They're really nice kids, actually. If you raise, it's how you raise them.
15:05Anna Williamson:My son, I fucking love him. He's pain in the arse, but I love him. So we're doing that. We're going with the girls and the boys and Andrew and I and then Saren's parents are actually going as well. They're not staying with us, but they'll be there as well. So I'm so looking forward to it. It's such a different dynamic with the teens. So I've booked like She's got nice mates as well. I've been a douche. I've put some restaurants for them on their own some nights. They'll all be 16 then. But yeah, I'm buzzing for it. That could be a semi-romantic one for you and A-Dog. I actually could, yeah. Because, you know, they've got their own skiing structures.
15:36They'll all go off.
15:37Anna Williamson:You can have a nice little... I'm just gutted that we couldn't come. Afternoon shags. Maybe we'll do afternoon shags. The thing is, afternoon shags, I knew for my life for 10 years, turn into afternoon naps. For sure. Lovely. But you can have a shag and a nap. I know, but we just tend to nap a bit, boy. Yeah, I know, we love a nap. We love a nap. Very exciting this Friday. Yes. It's Luanna, the big Galentine's night. Celebrating us and you. We always get comments like, why do you always do things in London? Well, this is worldwide. So if you are listening, wherever you're listening from, we know we actually have quite a lot of Aussie listeners.
16:16Yes. And Europe. So wherever you are, go to everythingluanna.com, grab a ticket. it's literally the cost of a Starbucks and join us live this Friday, I think we're going to start at half seven I think
16:29Anna Williamson:we're starting at half seven live, yeah online live so yeah and we're going to be in our PJs we've got games, we've got interactive games, you can ask us anything you want obviously Imo has been and Bex as well on socials has been teasing out the shout outs and messages do follow our socials because we're doing we need your input for a couple of games we're going to play so make sure you're following along on our Instagram at Everything Luanna because you need to vote in polls and shit. And we want your messages, your shout outs. Yeah, forfeits. Send anything to do with friendship, basically. So if you've got a really funny friendship story you want to share with us.
17:06Anna Williamson:Imo, anything else you want them to send on in? Shout outs on the night. Yeah, shout outs. Last time we did the Galentines. We had someone ask to be someone's bridesmaid. Yeah, so if you've got any big, maybe you want someone to be your maid of honour or you want to announce to your friends live you're pregnant. That you're having a baby. Yeah, whatever it may be. So we're celebrating friendships. It's Galentines, but obviously man fans. It's Palentines. You can join us too. Palentines. Palentines. So yeah. All about friendships. Come and share all your stuff for that, for everythingnoanna.com, and maybe just mention in the top for the Galentines night in.
17:38Right. Let's move on. It's time for... It's the Wreck-A-Serk-O. The Wreck-A-Serk-O. It's the Wreck-A-Serk-O. Ba-dum-bum. Right. Right. Emma, do you want to kick things off? Go on then. Okay. I'm recommending a biscuit. Oh, okay. It's a bougie biscuit.
17:56Anna Williamson:Go on. But it's bloody lovely. Is it like the crisps you recommended before? More bougie than that. Those crisps were viral. Those crisps. You're an influencer. The minute you mention them, my mouth... No, actually, I'll be honest, I'm hungry. They're so good. Anyway. I've got Jackie P's in the oven. I'm so excited about that, Jackie P. For Christmas, I got given some of these because it's kind of like a Christmas thing. I had them for the first time in a hamper that we were given after we got engaged from Fondler Mason so they are expensive Are they the shortbread in the blue tin? No. Are you alright then?
18:34How are things in your language right now? All going well?
18:39Anna Williamson:Lubkynchen Oh lovely, Lubkynchen You get them in Aldi the little German biscuit There's a bit of a difference between Aldi and Fortnum. No, you get them everywhere. I know that we like Aldi. No, the cinnamon biscuit with the chocolate on it, you get a Christmas. No. Okay, I'll shut up. No one knows what you're talking about. Anyway, they're called, I think they're called Toffalophusus or Toffalossusus. Sorry, I've just been taking the piss out of Lufchum Chum and then you turn around and start talking about Toffalophusus. They are called the Toffalophusus. I'm going to get out my Lubbcinton. Let me bring out the Toffolossus.
19:14Anna Williamson:Oh, no, Toffolossus. Right, go on then. Toffolossus biscuits, Portnum & Mason. They are covered in chocolate, and the chocolate is a perfect ratio to the biscuit. The biscuit has little bits of dried date in it. Oh, I do like a date. Shall I read what it actually says? Also, it's Lubbcinton. You know what they are. No, okay, no one knows. Anyway, sweet and salty and chewy toffee combines with plump dates in this expertly baked and abundant chocolate covered biscuit. Emma, you bastard, we're starving. Anyway, and they're like slightly salty. Oh, I do like a salty chocolate bowl. So it's like perfect.
19:54Suck up my chocolate, Sassy. It's like the perfect mix of sweet and salty. And they're just divine.
20:05Anna Williamson:So you have to get them from Fulton and so? you can buy them on that as in like you can get them in the big fancy tin the tin is 600 grams you get maybe like 12 biscuits and that is £26.95 so it's a bougie bisque £26.95 but you can get you can get the refill box and that's less expensive but they're so delicious especially for like a treat you think they taste nicer coming out the posh tin as well oh I think it makes a difference they're always fresher because there's always pressure. You know when you eat something out of a tin or a nice plate? And it's been vacuumed. It's been sealed. It's like when you eat food with plastic cutlery or metal cutlery.
20:47It tastes different. The same food tastes different.
20:50Anna Williamson:I'm drinking out of a glass. Drinking out of a glass. I cannot drink wine or beer or anything alcoholic out of a plastic cup. You go to theatre and they're like, you have to decant it. I go, I'll just have a water. Is that what you do? I'll just have a water. I can't have my wine. It does. I can't have my wine out of a plastic cup. It's not working, Lee. but ceremony we've lost the art of ceremony we have they're bloody delicious and if you're lucky I'll bring you in the only issue I've got is that you haven't bought any in I know yeah that was my bad there are some in my kitchen right now and I can't wait can you buy us a new tin please yes for the next time done we'll do I'll bring in some miniature Edmunds cocktails that I recommended last week because they were really nice lovely what do you like by the way margaritas I'll bring a selection good reco I'm now I'm starving and want that biscuit in my face, quite honestly.
21:38Anna Williamson:Yeah, me too. My Reco Seco is, I'm sort of waiting for an eye roll, particularly from Lou on this one. But I'm going to roll with it because it is a bit life-cuchy. But this time of year, you know, I know it's been a bit of a slog for those that don't live in dupes, that have the sunshine. You know, living in the darkness, we are predisposed to feel a bit grumpy and a bit tired. Makes me very grumpy. Exactly, at this time of year. Damp. and grey and dark. So I, and I was recommending this actually with my Life Coach Therapist hat on to a couple of my clients this week who suffer with SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder.
22:14Anna Williamson:I've got that. I think most of us do to be honest and it's, there's a reason for it. Biology and evolution. However, on Amazon or choose anywhere, maybe you could do an Amazon Affiliates Lou for a SAD lamp, okay, SAD lamp. Now, they don't have to be expensive and I always say to people, they're like, oh, I see them, there's so many different ones on the market now. You don't have to spend loads of money. You can spend 15 quid right up until 500 quid if you really want to do. 15 quid for your happiness. Exactly. Priceless. But what I would say is I've used a sad lamp for years and years and years.
22:45Anna Williamson:Have you? And anyone, everyone, yeah. What do you do? Sit in front of it? Yeah, you just so in the morning. Or like to do your makeup and you've got it on. Yes, exactly that, Lou. So people would say, well, when do I use it? Brush your teeth. Yep. And sometimes you can get sad lamp, actually alarm clocks in the morning. I actually do have one of those as well. that when the alarm comes on, the artificial light comes on at the same time. Sunrise, it sort of mimics sunrise. So that can be really good just to help with vitamin D and to help with your mood. So exactly that. Get a sad lamp, 20 minutes a day.
23:12Anna Williamson:Put it next to you if you're working on your laptop. Just have it next to you and just taking the light or doing your teeth or sitting watching the telly or whatever it may be. Anyone that's suffering with low mood, just go and get one. Don't need to spend loads of money on it. But a sad lamp, it can make all the difference to mood at this time of year. Well, what good recommendations you've both got. Thank you, Lou. We're so excited about yours. Do you know what? I had one and I forgot what I wanted. Just as you were talking. Oh, okay. I've got a really good one and it's something I haven't got that I really want, which is rare for me because normally I always get what I want.

23:48You are either. I've always wanted. There are these things and I can't remember 100 % what they're called, but they're like these craft cabinets and they open out. just get it on the TikTok how does it go the tickety-tock and it's like put in like craft cabinet you know how much I love crafting you know how much I love my cricket machine but you can only get it in America and I really want to get one shipped to Dubai but it's like a cabinet like looks like a wardrobe and then you open it out and it folds out and it has all this organisation in it look oh hang on here we go we're on it now right look at this oh this is good And it opens out, right?
24:26Oh, that is a good cabinet. And then it's got a desk in it. And you can do all your crafting. And I cannot tell you how much I want one of these. And I really, really want one. Like a lot of one.
24:38Anna Williamson:I'll put this video on Instagram. Basically, it's like a small wardrobe that does basically open out like an Aladdin's cave. It's like an Aladdin's cave of crafting. And it looks insane. I don't want that for crafting. I just want that in general. It's really cool, isn't it? Yeah, like the stuff. But that was quite a good idea for if you've got a small pantry, like a kitchen type thing. But then I then went down an ADHD rabbit hole and you can make your own one out of Billy bookshelves from Ikea and a few piano hinges. So then I thought, well, maybe that will be my little Dubai project. Do you have Ikea out there?
25:13Yeah.
25:13Anna Williamson:Do that. Do that. See if you can make it. If it's crap, just bin it and then buy one. But I really want one. I have to admit, that is good. So if you're into crafting, what is the name of it? It's called like a... It's like a folding out crafting cabinet. No, there's a brand name. Wartdrobe? No, that's not... Anyway, just look on the tickety-tock. But you're right, that would make an excellent space-saving pantry. I know. It would make a brilliant space-saving pantry. That one is from a place called Wartdrobe. Oh, is it? I've not seen that brand. There's a few different brands and I can't... The really good ones are in America.
25:49They love crafting in America. But if you're into crafting like me and you love your cricket machine or you're sewing or you're crocheting, all that fluffy stuff that I like to do, these cabinets look amazing. I mean, that is a bit like one. See this little cabinet here because that door folds out and then that folds over.
26:06Anna Williamson:So space saving cabinets. Love that. Or multi-purpose cabinets. Isn't it good? I'm going to go down a rabbit hole. They're amazing. They're amazing. I don't craft, but that's really piqued my interest for like other stuff. Well, they're versatile, right? You could use it for anything. I am now like that. It's really cool. I'm just thinking of my new boot room, actually. Can you imagine? Yeah, I can imagine. Really cool. I can imagine. And they're on casters, like wheels, so you can roll them around. I'm just obsessed. Oh, Emma, you've hit a good one, haven't you? It's one with an overhead light.
26:39Anna Williamson:Well, I mean, we're all sold on this. I think I might try and make one with all the time I've got. Make one and then, yeah, let's do that. Right, messages. messages from anonymous so bend over I thought I'd share a funny story I work as an engineer for London Underground once the train had stabled I found a pack of sexy cooling cars approximately 200 left on the train now the next day we, the lads, thought we'd stitch up our depot manager by hiding the said cards on his car, the glove box sun visors, everywhere in his car we could find a hiding place the stitch up worked perfectly, his wife found the ones hidden in the sun visor and glove box and thought it was hilarious, as did our manager.
27:20Anna Williamson:Laughs all round. The prank was a success. Forward approximately a year or so later, our boss came into work fuming with us with regards to the prank that we played a year ago. It turned out he had a funeral to go to and it was raining heavily. Our boss went to his car, got his brolly, opened it out and out fell roughly 60 or 70 sexy calling cards in front of everyone. Also, it's such a good prank because it was like a year later. So good. Love that. Love that. Got another one in. Message from Anonso Edwina. Hi, Luanna. I really need your advice on a money situation in my relationship because I'm struggling to figure out whether this is normal or a red flag.
28:03Right, here we go. I'm 21. I've just graduated and recently started my first full-time job, earning around 30 grand a year. My partner is older and he earns about 50. He owns the house we live in. and he paid the deposits, solicitor fees, everything. I never asked him to. He chose to do that because he's been working for years and had savings. Because of that, he believes all the monthly outgoings should be split 50-50. He asked me to pay£900 every month, which is almost half of my take-home pay. But I actually have no idea what the mortgage or bills total or how much he pays himself. He won't show me, and any attempt to talk about money ends in him getting defensive and saying he wouldn't take less.
28:43He often says things like, I put a roof over your head, which makes me feel like I owe him, or that I'm being kept. He also says that if I ever wanted my name on the mortgage in the future, I'd have to pay him back the full deposit. What? And all solicitor fees, so it's fair. That just isn't something I could ever afford. And it makes me feel like I'm not an equal partner, but more like a tenant. One night when he'd been drinking, he broke down the monthly outgoings for me. after adding up the mortgage and bills there was about 300 pounds unaccounted for and he jokingly said well that's for my savings the next day he said he got confused and refused to talk about it again meanwhile he lives very comfortably he orders nice things online goes out with his friends frequently and has a lot of savings I'm budgeting tightly every month still paying off an overdraft and student related debt I'm sending him almost half of my pay sometimes more if I get bonuses he doesn't seem to understand that earning less means I physically have less to contribute he just keeps saying everything should be fair but his version of fair seems to mean equal not proportional I'm not trying to pay less than I should I just want transparency about what I'm contributing to and a fair split that reflects our actual incomes but every time I try to have the conversation he gets offended defensive or shuts it down completely it's now reached a point where I'm scared to even mention money because it always starts an argument I love him but I'm starting to feel financially vulnerable and sidelined i don't know whether i'm overthinking this or whether this dynamic is genuinely unhealthy please can you help me understand whether this situation seems fair and how i should approach it thank you so this is um something that
30:19Anna Williamson:in in my world of relationships that we would say comes under the term financial abuse um financial abuse um within relationships is very common and i think it's very it's not talked about um we often talk about a lot more you know psychological abuse physical abuse um but financial abuse does come onto it which is essentially a form of control and manipulation um to do with with the finances and there are lots of different sort of um definitions around that you know someone been uh you know kept short of money for example or being forced to pay i mean more than they should what the and what we would define by that is there is a lack of transparency clarity and balance and fairness and um the way he is responding to you when you're asking for this clarity regardless of the who should pay what and the proportionment i think it and the thing is with that there is no definite definition or defined thing on that it's so personal i think a lot we've talked about this before haven't we and a lot of people would say that a kind of percentage apportionment is probably the fairer way of doing it.
31:24I would say that. Yeah.
31:26Anna Williamson:Which is sort of what I do in my marriage as well. I mean, we're a bit more sort of in the thick and the deep 10, 11 years in. And again, that comes down to our own individual attitudes around money. And I do think it makes a difference when you are 10 years in and you're married. And you've got children. And like you're 21. I know. I would start to question, do you see yourself with this person long term? Is it worth you giving half your pay to this? I actually, I have genuine concerns around this relationship. I think this is somebody who is, whether they realize it or not, they are manipulating and controlling the narrative and the conversation around finances.
32:01Anna Williamson:It is not fair. It is not equal. That is regardless of what you're paying and what he's paying, because he won't have the conversation. And he is being manipulative around the language. You know, I put a roof over your head. If you are being expected to pay for something, it is perfectly reasonable and it is highly important, in my opinion, but I think everybody's, that you have a full clarity on what that looks like on paper. so I think for me I would almost I wouldn't I'm going to say I would refuse to pay anything until I see it but I would make it very clear that you're happy to pay what is fair you need to see complete outgoings and look at full financial transparency otherwise I honestly would personally go as far as to say this relationship is not a healthy relationship for me to be in that's what I would say I mean I know he let slip of the tongue and it might not be true but if he's taking£300 from you for his savings what the fuck I think that you know like just devil's advocate I think that his mentality is probably well I paid the deposit and I paid the solicitor's fees so then he is recouping some of that cost to go back into savings but then saying to you which doesn't make sense oh if you ever want to get on the mortgage you're going to have to give me the full deposit well that's not right I think it really you need to have a really conversation just say actually this isn't going to work for me and actually you know what you're in this situation now this is going to progress even worse it always does and I think that you need to really lay it all out black and white and just say to him look I I'm feeling quite financially vulnerable here I'm just going to go on my phone to find a resource to give like I'd like to lay this out in black and white You know, do we see a future in this relationship?
33:46Yes, we do. Okay, well, let's put something in place legally, maybe get the solicitor to draw something up. He did that for the deposit and he did that for the legal fees. This is the mortgage every month. You're going to like pay that every month because actually if you're overpaying by£300, then you could be saving that£300 to eventually give half of the deposit back so that you then get on the house, which might be more fair. And I just think you probably need to like hash it out and then maybe have something drawn up by a solicitor and it feels eggy when you say things like that because you're in a relationship and you want it to be all lovey-dovey and kissy cuddly and all that shit but actually practically you are only 21 very young might not end up being with this guy for the rest of your life and i hate to say that and be a bit of doom and gloom but if you are overpaying by 300 pounds a month that's a hell of a lot of money that you could be saving for your future with a different person that you're going to eventually end up with.
34:46And I might be inclined to have a little just say to him, look, it's actually becoming unaffordable for me to live here. So I'm going to look at different options where I'll only be paying 600 pounds a month. Still want to continue my relationship with you and see how that goes down. Because I really, really would encourage you, you're 21 years old, your partner's older than you like it's very very possible this relationship isn't going to last right and there's a power imbalance clearly playing out there is a power imbalance take some of that power back i honestly would look at your other options of places to live and you know and that might help you even put the spark back in the relationship and feel less less vulnerable financially you know take ownership of where you live go somewhere else save that 300 pounds or are you better off staying there and paying£900.
35:35I think it's really in your interest to look at other options and to weigh this up. Honestly, you're so young to be committing yourself in this way to somebody like this.
35:45Anna Williamson:Yeah, and to lose point as well. If you were my daughter, I would be encouraging you to move out. Yeah, yeah, I would agree. I think the dynamic of the relationship does not sound good at all. There's red flags flying all over the place here for me personally. I would encourage you to, this sounds like a bit of a strong charity but I've done a lot of work with them and they're amazing at just having a support line if you want to just chat through anything just to see it's called survivingeconomicabuse.org okay website so survivingeconomicabuse.org I'm not necessarily saying you are but this covers the entire topic and they've got amazing people that are really skilled in this area and being able to identify it but also to give further practical help and and communication on how you might navigate this going forward.
36:29Anna Williamson:Just to know what is fair, what isn't fair, and your rights moving forwards, okay? So maybe have a little look at that too. Good luck. If it feels wrong, it is wrong. Yeah, definitely. And you're too young to fuck around with this shit. Oh, exactly. You know, you're too young and you don't earn enough to fuck around with this. So stash the cash for your future with someone that will treat you with a bit more respect and fairness. And also to feel like you're doing things in your favour. Do you know what I mean? You just graduated, by the way. Well done. Good for you. You graduated. You're earning a good salary.
37:00Anna Williamson:You're earning a good salary. And you're doing really well. Yeah, you are. Yeah, doing really well. Don't let someone, yeah. Yeah, try and take over that. Message from Sam next. Hey girls, loving the podcast and all that codswallop. We're coming up to that silly old Valentine's Day. So I thought we'd write in and tell you about one of the worst Valentines I've ever had. Brilliant. I hope you're joining the Galentines this Friday. This happened a few years ago when I was with my then boyfriend. And like all couples who want to think they're still fun and sexy, we decided to make an effort. As a treat, I surprised him by getting my Ann Summers on and dressing up as a sexy policewoman.
37:33Anna Williamson:PVC, miniskirt, wonky badge, fake ponytail poking out the back of a hat that absolutely did not suit me. I had the full kit, plastic handcuffs, tiny truncheon and a toy gun. I stole them from my teenage brother when I'd visited for lunch the prior week. Brilliant. She was visiting the teenage brother, swipes his gun. She was like, oh, like a potato spud gun. That doesn't reek sexy to me. I'm not going to lie, girls. But, you know, each is to their own. Anyway, my boyfriend... Where's the next bit? Oh, no. My boyfriend was watching telly in the lounge and I burst in shouting, put him on! You've been a very naughty boy!
38:12Anna Williamson:That's not the biggest turn-off ever with her fucking toy gun. Her brother's toy gun. Toy cap gun. Put him up! You've been a very naughty boy. He loved it, Anna. He loved it, babes. He looked very excited. and I did my best policewoman frisk of his body, ordering him to strip so I could search him for contraband. I handcuffed him with his hands behind his back and pushed him onto the sofa. I strutted back and forward in front of him, really getting into it. I'm quite weirdly loving this. He laughed and pulled my gun. That happened the time of that. Oh, isn't this young toy gun? He laughed and I pulled my gun, telling him to shut up, jokingly pretending to shoot him in the willy.
38:51Anna Williamson:Three... Bang, bang, bang! You naughty boy. Take that. Fully expecting harmless little clicks. Oh, no. Oh, no. Little did I know my baby. I'm going to pee myself. Little did I know my baby brother owned a BB gun. The gun fired actual BB pellets. Have you ever had one of these? Yes, I'm painful. at his hardening cock and balls. My boyfriend let out a noise I've never heard before or since. He immediately curled into himself while I stood there in my police outfit holding the gun, whispering, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God. The safe just shot him in the balls. You naughty boy. The point flag.
39:52Anna Williamson:Let me tell you, I took a BB gun by my brother at a good, like, six metres away and it hurt. Oh, my God, it's only the three times she's just gone trigger happy before realising it's firing like pellets at his dick. Safe to say, she says, the moment was over. There was no sex. And just lots and lots of ice and an extremely awkward phone call to 111. Hope you girls enjoyed my story. Happy Valentine's. That was the best. Oh, we love that Valentine's story. Best one of 2026 so far for me. Do you know what I'd love to hear from? The 111 operators. They must get some great calls. The one that I often get through to.
40:37It's her again. Remember, if you want to get in touch, you can email us, Luanna at everythingluanna.com. You can also drop us a WhatsApp on 075-215-6464. It's a new number. Make sure that you save it.
40:56Anna Williamson:Right, chatty bits. This is a really good story. This is because I have a nine-year-old boy who, like the millions and millions of people out there that use roadblocks, he's constantly asking. It's a constant chat we have at home around safeguarding him on it. So roadblocks. But it's introducing facial age checks for everyone. And this is why other tech platforms should follow suit. See, they can do it. They can. This is what annoys me about social media as well. Facial recognition is not difficult. And there's the tech, right, where you can upload a passport picture, take a selfie, and they match the pictures to make sure it's you.
41:38It's a simple technology. And they just don't do it because they don't want to do it.
41:42Anna Williamson:Well, yeah. And I can also, I think I've said this before, I did some work with Meta last year. And Instagram on their teen accounts have also done the same, age AI age prediction and they automatically shove you back into a child account if they can see that someone's movement and activity is anything that's not matching and they can check your followers who what content you're accessing so this is really good and I did sort of know this actually because I when I'm Enzo and I have really open conversations about this to try and I my personal parenting with this is I don't think there's any benefit in just doing a hard absolute no.
42:15Anna Williamson:I do respect a lot of parents that do do that, but we now have kind of a controlled access around it. When I'm with him, he's allowed to have half an hour after school on it, but they have to be approved. So what we're trying to do is he's got to gain my trust. Yeah, and if he does break my trust, then he knows it's gone. I just don't have it. No, which I think is fair. You used to have robots. Do you know what fucks me off? Since I smashed those iPads up, I'm paying for a lot of subscriptions and I don't know how to cancel them now. oh gosh are they on your account though no whose account was it I don't know but shit keeps coming out the amount of apple it's actually my rant I'm going to say do you want me to have a look at it that might be worth it yeah so much is coming out if I show you my bank statement yeah see the amount of apple but if you're like me and not like me and not like Lou who is very sensible but is sort of grappling with this yeah it is a grapple it really is a grapple but you're right Lou it doesn't matter if it's Roblox whether it's Tokamuka or Tokaboka I think it's more girly Tokabuka but I think everyone has their own sort of way they approach it YouTube is in my house is banned they are absolutely not allowed YouTube I let mine watch puppy training videos on YouTube there and actually we play some fun games on YouTube there's like these silly games that you can play so that's when I let them do it when we're all in the lounge and then they have these weird games it's the doom scroll I won't let them do because you just don't know where they're going to end up.
43:40Anna Williamson:But basically, they are introducing these facial age checks. Now, it's already happened. It happened last month. So the head of it, of Global Parenting Advocacy, explained what's changing. She says, why it matters for family and why parents should feel more confident about safer online gameplay. I have noticed this too, because Enzo did tell me the other day it failed for him. Oh, did it? Yes, and he said, Mummy, I've been moved into a different... Because I made a comment to him saying, who have you been chatting to? It was his friend. And he was like, I can't anyway. He was like, they changed it last week.
44:14Anna Williamson:He actually said. And that's what it is. Because basically they've introduced this facial age check so that UK users have to prove how old they are before accessing certain chat features, which is obviously what happened to Enzo. So the idea is, obviously, to stop adults and children being placed together in online conversations. So in that chat with Enzo, there would have been what they suspected an adult. so they booted him out which is so good and this doctor is saying that it's great it's really good, it's a necessary move as parents we do expect our children to be safe online in the same way they are offline but right now platforms are not doing enough to separate the kids from the adults so we have these age rules in life children don't play sports with adults they aren't allowed into adult spaces so why should online gaming be any different so it's saying facial age checks are framed as a practical solution and not a punishment.
45:07And Roblox, as a technology, estimates age rather than identifying individuals and images aren't stored permanently. Because, look, you can't rely on people being honest. You just, like, and parents lie for their kids. This is it. To get them onto the platforms, the parents will tick and say, yeah, they're over 13 or they're over 16.
45:25Anna Williamson:So now I think this is... You could do it yourself. Enzo tried to circumnavigate it until we had the big conversation on trust. And I said, if I ever see you've broken my trust again, trust me, boy, that will never, ever come back. and we've had to have the chat because I do hear it's so difficult but with him we have open communication something feels wrong or someone speaks like this, don't do this but come and tell mummy. But I also had to promise him because I get it, he's like but if I do tell you, does that mean you're then going to ban me? And I said to him I mean I probably will but I said to him and I do mean it, I said no I won't, I said you have much more chance of doing it and playing safely because when you're a grown up you're going to have to learn how to navigate this anywhere to grow up safely i said if you tell us you actually will have more of a chance of staying on because we will just keep tweaking your privacy settings for you to keep playing i said if you don't tell me and if something happens um then then it will be banned and i i told him the other it's so annoying though that these games even have that feature like just have the game without the feature like i used to love playing crazy taxi and um sonic and lemmings and that was just me playing a game.
46:33You can play them on gaming consoles. But you can still do Fortnite on gaming consoles and talk to people. Why do you need to constantly... But anyway, this is such a good move. It's good. Such a good move from Roblox, actually. And I wasn't aware it was doing this. And I do approve. My kids still aren't having it, but I do approve.
46:52Anna Williamson:No, I can say we're on the receiving end of that and that was quite lovely when I saw it happen. It's quite nice for the parent because you don't feel like the arsehole all the time. Yeah. And it backs up the parents. Do you know what I mean? When you've got something like this and the gaming platform's also helping the parent take responsibility, it's not all you being an arsehole. Exactly. And it's you being like, oh, well, sorry. That's just the game. Because also, you know, kids, I mean, if any of your kids are anything like my Enzo, he's just like, he's so trusting and so open. He's like, no, mummy, when they say, you need to like and subscribe, she says we do on here, you know, because it helps them.
47:28Anna Williamson:It helps them, you know, and they're so literal. you know it does help so I hate roadblocks I'm not gonna lie but I love that if you are gonna go down that route it is a lot safer yeah and actually credit where credit's due to roadblocks quite a smart business move very so many parents say what we say and the gaming platforms aren't doing anything and actually if anything now me having taken it away from my kids if I was yeah gonna bring anything back I probably the first one I bring back is roadblocks because they're helping to protect the kids yeah so from a business point of view it's a very smart move makes sense makes sense very smart although i saw i saw someone's um someone's reel the other day and it was like i'm going to get these stats wrong but it was something like something like 111 million users of roblox globally and only 50 million of those are kids and so it's like who are the others yeah you know and i so i think they they have to you know they they know in roblox in particular has been under so much heat for the last couple of years um i don't like it I think another issue we all have with it is the overstimulation.
48:31Anna Williamson:Yeah, well, that's for me with Indy. It's 99 Nights he's playing. He likes 99 Nights. Oh, I don't know any of them. He plays with his friends. But equally, as you say, as we all know, then he's like, well, I'm the only one out of my friends who doesn't play on it. So we do have a controlled gameplay on it now, which I think is probably the one to do. For me, it's the overstimulation, especially for Indy. She just doesn't play well with that. Right, this is a little update. And we talked about this quite a few months ago now, But there was a lady in Georgia who I think was in a car accident. And at the time of the car accident, she was nine weeks pregnant.
49:05And because of the law in Georgia where they don't let an unborn fetus or baby die, they kept her essentially brain dead but alive, the mother, in an induced coma. And she was essentially a human incubator. She was dead and she was always going to be dead. but they kept her body functioning to grow the baby. That baby boy was born prematurely and she then was then declared legally dead after the baby was born.
49:39Anna Williamson:And the family then legally were responsible for the baby and the costs. All the medical bills. So obviously you don't get free healthcare in America. So that then, yeah, was the responsibility of the family who openly have said the whole time they can't afford it, they're not a wealthy family, the medical bills are through the roof. They weren't given the choice. No, because it's the law. And basically the baby was so premature, he's still in the hospital six months after his birth, his grandma said. And he only weighed one pound and 13 ounces. And the family, you know, doing GoFundMe to try and raise money for this.
50:16He's now 11 pounds, but he didn't make it home in time for Christmas. as he's now being moved to another hospital for treatment. He's a very sick little baby, isn't he? He's a very, very, very poorly little baby. And this is this heartbeat law that they have in Georgia. And it's just so devastating.
50:38Anna Williamson:I mean, it comes down, yeah, I mean, the whole Roe versus Wade, you know, abortion thing. And to say someone had messaged us in and given us the update on this as well. and so that's sort of where they are you know this little baby is unwell and they don't even know actually if he will survive the child so it just seems all very in vain like for what and really I think she was a lot of people online were saying oh they use like a black woman as an experiment for their sick laws she was a black lady wasn't she because we know that black women are much more disadvantaged yeah when it comes to childbirth you know and it's a thing it is it is a thing and i can see why there is that yeah you know thought around that you know i just think it's so wrong i mean that baby should have been allowed to die with its mother i think medical intervention is great weeks old like it's a fetus at that yeah you know this is just so bad and now this poor family are left to like suffer with the emotional you know they've lost that the The grandmother's lost her daughter.
51:47She's now got a huge financial strain that she openly can't afford. And this baby in a hospital that she's having to go and visit that actually shouldn't be alive. Well, it wasn't a choice, but also as well. It wasn't their choice.
51:59Anna Williamson:I mean, life is a life and this is a poor little baby. But again, so much empathy for the family. They didn't choose to have a baby. You know, they were doing their life. I wonder what would happen if they said, we're going to give the baby up for adoption. Like, what would happen then? Relinquish responsibility. well I suppose they probably could do that I would be inclined to do that it sounds like an awful thing to do but if you can't afford a baby the baby doesn't sound like it will be long term compatible with life from what I've read online and I don't know what you do in that situation but what do you do if you can't afford it if you have no money say to the state you created this mess you deal with this mess but how awful as well because that's a piece of her daughter that is living and that, you know, but I actually, from what I've read, don't think that the baby is going to have any quality of life.
52:50Anna Williamson:I think the whole thing is a very desperate situation from start to finish. And unfortunately, it hasn't finished. How dare they experiment with somebody like this? Well, I mean, 13... It is like being a Cuban guinea pig. Yeah, 13 states have banned abortion. This is in the US. Seven, including Georgia, have passed restrictions limiting the procedure to certain periods of pregnancy. I think it's a very personal opinion too, and I think I'm with you. I think if the mother died and the mother is carrying that baby. She died that day of that car accident. Yeah, exactly. And that baby should have died with its mum.
53:26I'm pretty sure. It's a fetus, right? It's not a baby. It was a fetus at that stage, nine weeks old.
53:32Anna Williamson:I don't know if that applies to the UK, but I know the NICE guidelines. Like when I was looking at my elected cesarean and I was sort of storming in with what my rights were, you know because I did I thought well what where does it come down if they refuse to give me this like who who wins you know does my baby win or me win you know does medical medical opinion on me and actually your human right is actually it's the mother's decision on whether they want an elected cesarean or not by the by the UK NICE guidelines because the baby is considered a fetus i.e. therefore not a viable human at that point or whatever I'm paraphrasing until it's It's not viable at all.
54:07It's not even anywhere near viable. It's not like she was 22 weeks and they might be thinking, oh, we could, you know, save this fetus. I mean, nine weeks, I just think it's so awful. To do that to a family, I mean, the heartbreak and now the financial burden loaded onto that is so cruel. It's just so cruel.
54:31Anna Williamson:I mean, it is, it is. I suppose plain devil's advocate here, we can only hope that there is some miracle that happens, that there is financial support, the baby does survive, and has a fulfilling life, and does become a healing part of it. I mean, unfortunately, it doesn't look like that is happening. But I mean, it would be obviously wonderful. And I guess the law is there and why that decision was taken for that being the ultimate hope. However, practically, it's been a lot of devastation for everybody involved. Hope and science don't always mix. I also feel like sad for the medical people involved.
55:07Yes, because they have to do it.
55:09Anna Williamson:Because they have no choice. They're going to be prosecuted if they do anything to intervene. To see sufferance. Whether or not they feel it's right or wrong. They just have to do that. And they've taken the Hippocratic Oath to not do any harm or whatever. But they're like, where is the harm? Well, it all comes down to when we talk about assisted suicide. What they've done. Yeah, but then on the other side, the other people are like, there's harm in killing a living being. It comes down to the assisted suicide chat we often have, you know, and it is, because there is nothing more finite than life and death.
55:42Anna Williamson:Anyway, very, very sad situation. Right, we don't have any way to segue this in any way that's even remotely palatable, so we'll just kick in with it. It's time for... It's the Weirdo of the Week! Chloe, she says, I'd like to nominate myself for Weirdo of the Week for something I've realised I do on my commute. When I'm watching, people watching at the station or on the train, I imagine what people's police mugshots would look like. I'm not sure exactly why, but I know it's really weird. Chloe from Kent. I don't do that. Why not? We've got one from a non. So Frank Legros. Lee. Frankly Gross. Oh, Frankly Gross.
56:21Hi, Luanamo. Love the pod. I'm nominating my partner for Widow of the Week after catching him doing something fucking weird. He wipes his arse after taking a shit, puts the shitty shit... Oh, not another one. ...puts the shitty tissue to his nostrils and smells the shit on the tissue before putting it on the toilet. We've done this. Someone else has done this.
56:38Anna Williamson:Why? We've had this. We've had this before Christmas. This is another offender. Hope this makes the pod. Feel free to make up a funny name for him. I'm counting on you, am I? Well, listen, the clear winner for this week is Shitty Smeller. Shitty Smeller. Who wants to smell their own shit? It's Shitty Smeller. We don't mind the smell of our own farts, but not the own smell. It's true, actually. You don't like the smell of your own poo, though, do you? No one likes the smell of their poo. I don't really like the smell of my poo. My poo doesn't really smell that, I have to say. I had a really good poo this morning.
57:07Anna Williamson:Did you? Which toilet? My toilet? You shut my toilet. No, in the toilet upstairs. My toilet is an absolute belter down here. I'm not going to lie. It was real good. Oh, nothing more. Is there anything more satisfying? So gross in my house. Well, you are so shitter. My poor shisterns. shit sniffers weirdo of the week for this week please thank you right Lou do you have a rant for us I'm gonna have a rant we touched on this a minute ago when we were talking about roadblocks but my rant is fucking Apple and the amount of shit that goes out my account to them right can I bring this up because I don't understand I've looked at my Apple subscriptions I thought there were new laws around this there were new laws recently around making it easier to unsubscribe to shit well I don't know oh and then I thought oh shit I'm like subscribe to this unsubscribe I subscribed to some Adobe thing.
57:54I went to cancel it. It charged me£107 for cancelling it. Yeah.
58:00Anna Williamson:Adobe, I like that because you sign up for like a year long thing and then you have to pay the year whether or not you can. Yeah. How much is a year? I don't know. But I cancelled it and I just paid the hundred quid. I think it's so bad. Because I thought I'm just going to pay it because if I don't cancel it now, I'm not going to remember. Can I just also say I've been paying for Audible for like five years. I do not know how to cancel my Audible. is$8.99 a month. Fucking pisses me off. I can't cancel it. Right, this is my bank statement. Lou's showing me her bank statement right now. Look at all the Apple.
58:32What Apple apps have you got? Right, just flick through that. Just flick through that. I haven't got a lot of money in that account. Don't judge me. I love that. But it's so bad. Guys, we've seen probably 20 Apple subscriptions she's got in there. I don't know what all this Apple is and I went into the fucking settings. I've gone into subscriptions. I've looked at everything I'm subscribed to and that doesn't match that. It's so much. And I think I'm paying for Tokobo, Kart, Roblox, all this shit for the kids that I can't cancel. But whose Apple ID are they under? They've got their own Apple ID but it was, I'm the parent.
59:06But have you attached your card to it? Yeah. So they need to get rid of it. You need to change your Apple ID.
59:13Anna Williamson:Yeah, you need to get that card off. It's so bad. Like the amount of money, it's actually like stressing me out how much I'm paying Apple. and now I can't get into the fucking iPads, can I? Smash them up. But I do know they're Apple IDs. Okay, then we can do it. It's so bad. You need to take it. And I feel like if anyone takes anything from this rant, it's about my stupidity around the amount I'm paying. Go into your subscriptions right now. Look at what you're paying. Have a clean sweep. And cancel what you don't need to pay for because you just sign up to this shit and I'm the worst for it. And then I sign up, I'll pay that, or you do a free trial and then you forget to cancel the free trial, go into your subscriptions, look at what you're paying for and do a clear out.
59:56You could save yourself. I mean, I reckon I'm paying literally hundreds of pounds a month for shit. That you don't need. And I was so fucked off about that Adobe thing. It charged me£107 to canceling.
1:00:07Anna Williamson:And I always find when I go in to do a clean up of my subscriptions and it's always things that you've had to in that moment download an app to do a filter change on a post or something. or a travel app or something. Or a travel app or something. To blur a face or do this or that. Exactly. It's so fucking bad. I feel like just Apple are ripping my arsehole out every moment they can and charging me shit. And I know that I might have signed up to it. Yeah, it's probably not Apple's fault you've been rinsed. No, but can I just say the Audible thing is really bad. Like you can't cancel Audible within the app.
1:00:39It's not on my subscriptions. I've tried to look on my Amazon to cancel it. I do not know how to cancel Audible. You've gone straight to Audible? $8.99 a month. And go on Audible. I'm on like, I just don't know how to cancel it. I'm going to just have to ring them.
1:00:53Anna Williamson:Yeah, I think. And talk to a human. I bet I can't get through to anyone. You can go on the Audible site. Yeah, yeah, go through to Audible. Can we do it over on Jackie P.M.? We can sort it over lunch. Don't worry. Good rant. There you go. Imogen, help me. I've actually, you just reminded me to go back through my subs.
