In short
The hosts discuss two “scams” and then pivot to lifestyle segments. First, a real-life logistics/liability fuck-up involving Addison Lee taxis and malfunctioning security bollards that impaled a cab and pierced a diesel tank; they joke about blame and paying an insurance excess. Second, Anna describes a sophisticated podcast-guesting scam where an “American influencer” invitation led to a Zoom call that sounded like a call center/AI, then asked her to log into Meta accounts—implying account takeover and ransom.
Key claims
scams target influencers because valuable accounts can be monetized; the scammer team ghosted after Anna refused.
Notable examples
CCTV showing Lu in a small car while an arm-wave “convoy” follows; the scam call’s robotic audio and request to access Meta accounts.

0:38Anna Williamson:But you know you love it. Anna, what happened to you, my darling? Sam sends a message saying, oh, we've just had an inquiry in from this podcast, books me in. Okay, just need to do a research call at this date. Log on to this call, and I say, this ain't my first rodeo, none of us. and it doesn't take long for me to go, hang on a minute, this does not sound like my usual research phone calls. Can I just check what the purpose of this call is for? So this is what happened to me.
1:11Aloha. I don't know what we're doing, but it's a fresh new week.
1:18Anna Williamson:It's because we are well and truly into September. Exactly. Exactly. Welcome to Luanna Land, otherwise known as Luanna the Podcast, with me, Lu, Imo. How are we, bitches? I'm good. Yeah, really well. We are raring to go. How are you guys? Now, how are we all feeling? Kids are back at school. Bliss town. How is that for you, Emma? Does that affect you in any way, like traffic or transport? No, I don't drive. I tube to work, so it doesn't really affect me. It's all the same old shit. Same old shit. Also, guys, before we crack on as well, make sure you're following us on your favourite podcast platform.
1:50Anna Williamson:Hello on YouTube. And you are subscribing on YouTube as well. Hello, my friends. Oh, my gosh. Have you seen Ali G? Yes. New movie. So good. So many people have sent me the trailer. Or is it... It's a movie, is it? Not a tele show. Is it a movie? I don't know. I just saw Ali G is back. Yeah. And loads of people sent me the trailer. Let's have a look. Have a look. Do you know what? I loved Ali G. I'm excited about this. But I love Borat as well. Yeah, I love Borat. All of them. Just so good. You can't do Borat anymore. can he? Why? The PC thing. It's a movie. Oh, I think Ali G's more risque than Borat.
2:26Well, listen, I'm pleased it's back because hopefully this generation... Did you see that thing I posted the other day and it was a clip of Little Britain? And what's the old lady like in Little Britain? Did you see that clip I posted? No, which one? So she's going on. It's like a character of Little Britain. What sketch? And she's like telling me something. She's sort of like a teacher and she's got a notice board or something, but it's not a teacher. I think it's the one where it's like the cultural teachings or something. Oh, do you mean Marjorie and Fat Fighters?
2:59Anna Williamson:No. Anyway. When Matt Lucas plays the, hello, welcome to Fat Fighters. No, it's almost like I think she's a teacher of Britain for immigrants coming into the country. Oh, I don't remember that. And then she asks a question. Yeah, it was Little Britain. and she asks a question and then an Indian person goes, oh, fish on chips. And then she's like, you what? That's the lady from, yeah. If that's Little Britain, that's the lady. There was an Asian, South Asian lady in Fat Fighters that he always goes, something about curry. That one. Is that the one you mean? Oh, I don't know, but it was just a clip and it was fucking hilarious.
3:38Yeah. And they showed it. I reposted it and they showed it to like, like the Gen Z or whatever they're called nowadays. She's doing like a commentary piece. Yeah, and then she went, what are you saying? There's like an Indian accent. They're like, fish on chips, fish on chips. She's like, what? I don't think we've got that here. But the joke is on her, right? For her ignorance. And the Gen Z just didn't get it at all. They were like, this is shocking. Oh, really? They are totally personality-less. So I'm really happy that Ali G's coming back. Ali G. Because it might put a bit more personality into them.
4:12They're so boring, this generation. They don't drink. Does Dixie know about Ali G? Yeah, because I've made her watch Ali G, the Inbetweeners, South Park. Oh, the Inbetweeners.
4:22Anna Williamson:That was so good. I make her watch it all. American Pie, so that she has banter and personality. Because it's an institution. She has to watch these things. I think the thing is. Because I can't have her being like all these fucking sober snowflakes. Well, I think, I think, if I'm wrong, I mean, the 90s was just, was just gave us everything. and I think, correct me if I'm wrong, I think as long as everybody is fair game, do you know what I mean? That includes every single person. I think Ali G coming back as well, it appeals to such a generation like us and we are going to be there with bells on.
4:57Anna Williamson:I want to go to the premiere. Yes. Do you think we can try and blag ticket? Yeah, definitely. Actually, do you know what? I will get on the case for, I've got my mate Chrissie. I want to go to the premiere of Ali G. I just feel like this is what the world needs. This is what Britain needs. A bit of booyakasha. A bit of booyakasha. Booyakasha. A bit of like... Is you a fox? No, you is not a fox. Medjuli. Medjuli. Medjuli. I mean, how is that going to land? What, Medjuli? Wow. Oh, everyone loved a bit of Medjuli. I wonder what Ashley James is going to think of this. Oh, Ash will love it. Will she, though?
5:30Ashley will love a bit of Medjuli. Well, I don't think she will. She's always bleating on this morning about women's rights. Well, she's all good.
5:38Anna Williamson:But no, Ashley's got... I like to think Ashley is... rounded enough to love a bit of Medjuli. You would, but I'm not sure. We will see. Well, one thing's for sure, guys. I love Medjuli. We will be at the Ali G premiere. Well, will we? The Poonani. I'd like to be. Anyway, I'm super excited about that. I just feel like we need to bring it back a bit. I love a bit of Ali G because we like a bloody good laugh. Pye, mash, fish and chips, Ali G and others. And a bit of Gladiators on the telly. Smack the Pony. There you go. Gladiators. We've gone full circle. Smack the Pony was good actually as well.
6:09Smack the Pony. did you watch Smack the Pony? Dom Jolly? Yeah. Oh yeah, I know who Dom Jolly is. Did you watch it? Smack the Pony was good. That was female comics. I've never heard of Smack the Pony. Oh, it's female comedy.
6:21Anna Williamson:Wasn't that Samantha Janus? No. No. Oh, I can't remember. It's so good, am I? And no, Smack the Pony was Sally... I don't know who it was, but it was bloody brilliant. Sally Phillips. You should watch it. I think you'd like it. You'd like it. It's funny. It's like female comic. But we just need this in our lives. We just need to be a bit more, we can just, yeah, exactly, have a bit more of a laugh. Listen, speaking of having a laugh, if you've listened to Thursday's Totally Extra, guys, you would have heard us laughing at Louisa, and we didn't tell you why, because essentially it was your episode, but basically we were taking the royal piss out of her, because in only true Louisa way, more haste, less speed, is basically Lou down to a T.
7:05Anna Williamson:So her kids were, because as you know, Lou lives between Dubai and the UK. Currently in Dubai. She's such a little jet-setter. So the kids were going back to Dubbs because they go back to school. Lou is still here in the UK. So she was waving her kids off to the airport with Nanny Nat. Nanny Nat was flying with them. And all we knew is we were here in the Luanna studio. We were like, she's taking a while. I had to pause recording to see the kids and Nat off. So what happened, Lou? She suddenly sends this message. No, Nat's Addison Leap showed that the cars were like by the house gate. They did two cars because of the luggage they've got to go back to Dubes.
7:43Anna Williamson:Bear in mind, Nanny Nat lives there as well with her husband. No, but all her stuff's there. That was just the kids' stuff. Oh, wow. Well, it's like Kemi's saddle for the pony. Oh, okay. Just stuff. Okay, fine. So anyway, so I was like, well, where are these cars? So I drive up in our little Fiat 500. and I'll be at 500 because I had the key. So just to accept the scene here, at Chalmers 2, there is obviously like a perimeter fence, right? And you have to go up a massive driveway, which is very beautiful, where there are big gates and you have to be buzzed in by security, which have these big, lovely, ornate metal, raw iron gates that once you've been given the go-ahead, you can go in.
8:22Anna Williamson:You may now enter my sphere. You may enter the sphere. Now, there are two sets of security gates, but they have, both of them have bollards which are concealed in the ground. So they're up but they come down. You know when you go into like a secure parking space anywhere. The bollards go down. The gates come open, the bollards go down and you may enter the property. And then the bollards go up and the gates close. Right. So basically I've gone up in Fifi, the Fiat because it's quicker. Because it's like quick. I just bomb it up there in her. And I'm like where are these guys? They're not at the gate.
8:54Well then I see them like turning into the driveway so i reverse back turn around and then i'm waiting at the gate for them so they can follow me through the gate so she's gone to the opening of the gates right in order to bring them in in convoy yeah so yeah they're gonna convoy in after me so i've opened the gates and so we're taking the piss but as i'm like hang on hang on wait wait wait because at this point the point
9:25Anna Williamson:When this incident happens, she wasn't quite aware on how much she, like who was liable. Because let's be honest, guys, there was a massive fuck up. So basically what ended up happening is Lou drives her car in. Before that, I'm hanging out the window being like, come on, like with my arm, very extreme arm movements. Like, come on, follow me in. So Lou drives the car, but we didn't know this properly until afterwards. So Lou, at the point of this situation, Lou drives her little car in. The big Addison Lee taxis then follow her in on instruction. And then as the big Viano, big people carrying is tailgating her, as instructed, the bollards go up under the bonnet of the car and straight through the car.
10:13Anna Williamson:The car then stops as it impaled on a metal hydraulic bollard. bollard. He then starts to try and move backwards and forwards to get himself off. He cannot get off. The bollard is overhauled by you. It goes down. Car gets unpailed. It has pierced the diesel tank. I mean, lucky we've got Ian. We already had Ian in this morning to fix on Ian Luana's side. I, they call Ian and I'm like, uh. Ian is Louise's estate manager who now should probably be on a part-time Luana payroll. So anyway, this poor man's cab now has a diesel tank. It's gone straight through his tank. It's not going to be. It's undriveable.
10:49Anna Williamson:We are now talking an insurance claim. Lou's dad then has to go and take the kids and Natalie out to the airport and the other cab as well. Lou then comes back in going, oh, my God, I feel terrible. This man is not happy, as you wouldn't be. She went, I think, the thing is, I think it's my fault. I'm not sure. I think it's my fault. She went, well, I did say come in. Well, anyway, then 10 minutes later, good old Ian, the estate manager, because obviously we're champions too. He's got the CCTV loaded up. Sends Lou, can we please put this on socials? Lou is deliberating is this her fault or not should she do the right thing and pay this poor man £1 ,000 excess on the car and we were like it's the right thing to do if you waved him through then you should pay it well then we have proof to now the offer of paying the excess because Ian's CCTV footage very clearly and in beautiful high tech vision does picture Lou what could only be described as in little Mr Bean's car in little Mr Bean she sat in this little car that's the funniest thing as my car She sat in this little car and then you suddenly see what could only be described as something Queen Elizabeth II could only dreamt of doing.
11:52Anna Williamson:The biggest arm wave helicopter waving in behind her. This poor man tailgates and you just see the bollards come up. They malfunctioned, I'm sure. They shouldn't have done that. Not that quickly. It's the bollards' fault. Oh, I think there's got to be a somewhere. Where there's a blame. Where there's a blame. Exactly. Let's ring up the bollard company. Anyway, we've all been pissing ourselves laughing. At you. At you. Basically, just violently. The violence of the... Because I was like, come on, follow me. Because he was being a bit slow at tailgating. But basically, don't tailgate. And we know that Luz with her rants, she doesn't like slow people.
12:27Anna Williamson:This is where it comes back to bite her in the arse and the wallet. Because she's now paid the excess. I mean, how is that man now? Is he okay? Well, in all honesty, we're recording this right after it happened. You're not quite sure. He's still sitting out there. Oh, God. Ian just told me. Oh no, this is bad. This is really bad. This is bad. Well, anyway, she's doing the right thing, guys. Also, she hasn't really got a leg to stand on because we've all now seen the CCTV on Shampo's team. Why am I like this?
13:01Anna Williamson:Well, listen, I'm delighted. Well, I'm not delighted about that. Can I just say, from one fuck up to another, right, we keep bleating on about scammers on Luanna, right? and a lot of people, they're like, I'd call them micro-influencers or influencers, keep getting emails from Gmail accounts. People with a million over accounts. Well, posing, and it's always like American ones or sort of, you know. Yes, it's American ones. And these people are posing to be us, Luanna the Podcast, and then they're contacting these people, offering them a fee to be on Luanna. We did kind of think, well, how does this scam work?
13:37Now, one of our followers full on went down the route of a Zoom call and said to us, well, I realised it was a scam when I was on a Zoom call to like a little Indian man. And I realised that's probably not one of your team because I've never heard you mention an Indian man before. And so realised it was a scam.
13:56Anna Williamson:Now, Anna, what happened to you, my darling? Well, can I just say again, this is another reason, reason number 504 why I love doing the one of the podcast, because had my antenna not been up on the scammer emails, because every week we keep telling you to ignore scammer emails. Also on that, I've had another three or four very, very big accounted influencers message me. Can I actually say there is a nice byproduct of this. Every single person that has messaged has said, just want to check it's real, because if so, we'd love to support you. and I've looked at that and they're all big American people but they're all people of note in their fields.
14:32Anna Williamson:It's very, very nice. Then I've said, sorry, it's a scam. We don't have guests and we don't pay. But I do want Jake Handel. But you do want Jake Handel. In our world, guys, right? It is not unusual. So some, like lots, as we know, podcasts are huge. Cross-contamination. Loads of cross-contamination. Cross-pollination, that's it. Contamination. Lots of podcasts, you know, when you get invited on, don't have a fee. Some podcasts do have a fee. Most don't, to be honest, because you use that cross promotion they'll promote theirs on ours we'll promote theirs on ours and you hope to capture more listeners it's what happened with Parenting Hell quite a few people exactly boys staying relevant so it happens we all do this in the podcasting world we all scratch each other's backs but some podcasts do offer a fee particularly if they have a brand behind them that are doing a sort of a one-off brand sponsored thing so this is what happened to me so guys I have been on the receiving end of a podcast scam just like the Luanna one and it involves Agent Sam and I'm sure she won't mind because she felt well actually there was no need to feel awful because these are so sophisticated and I guess this is why all the scams there were so many scams on everything right just be so careful about all these emails that we're receiving and text messages saying oh I get them all this time from Amazon all your Amazon accounts just changed can you just check your password and it's like I get texts it's all bullshit anyway so Sam and I do a lot of sort of guesting on podcasts particularly if I'm wanting to promote uh the affair podcast or um i'm also in my world as a therapist i get asked to go on lots of things to give my opinion on relationships so it's quite a normal thing for me to do so then sam sends me a message saying oh we've just had an you know you've had an inquiry in um from this podcast lots of them i say no to um from an american uh well-being sort of influencer someone that's in my sort of sphere in the sense that you know it looks like she said you know really really big platform you know really quite nice especially this america as well it's nice sort of different audience and i thought she was gonna crack america but anyway so she went this is the this is the name of the lady you know have a look at her here's her you know so the woman herself is real and has a really big profile exactly so she said anyway they want to do a research call you know as often is the case and it's being sponsored by a brand so they have got a fee to offer you i thought oh do you know what why not nice little tasty fee i like the content it's about to talk about relationships everyone's a winner right can do it remotely lovely books me okay just needs to do a research call at this date fine sends me the link that's fine she wasn't gonna be on it um so fine log on to this uh i know well log on to this call and i say this ain't my first rodeo none of us and it doesn't take long for me to go hang on a minute so click on the zoom link which is um and suddenly there's like a pause and like a click and all i can describe it is literally like ringing up a call center where it's definitely not based in the uk um you can sort of hear a muffle of noises so you know it's a call center you just know it and i was thinking it was on a zoom and i had my video on and then this sort of profile picture of a man you know with a dog it was like a white guy with a dog guys and also it looked quite photoshop photoshop and also guys i'm pretty sure the fucking converter when it comes to dating profiles on do you know what i mean i'm looking for people that are catfishers and stuff like that so i was like hang on a minute this does not sound like my usual research phone calls which i get all the time if i'm doing a live radio interview or anything like that so anyway there It was stilted.
17:50Anna Williamson:It sounded like AI. It sounded robotic. No, but it was a person. It was a person, but it was robotic in the sense of reading from a script. Yeah. So straight away, I clocked about 30 seconds in and I said, can I just check what the purpose of this calls for? And he was like, yeah, because we're going to multi, you know, simulcast on different platforms, Facebook, you know, meta, which again is quite plausible on YouTube. And he said, and I said, okay, well, I wasn't aware the call was for that. I thought it was just a research call on the content, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, it all sounded fishy as hell.
18:19Anna Williamson:Started recording it for Sam. And he didn't have his video on. Didn't have his video on. And did you ask him to put his video on? Yes, I did ask him. I said, oh, I don't have your video. You don't have a video on. I do. And he's like, oh, no, I prefer to keep it off. No, is that what he said? I think so. That was the first thing I thought, well, no, that's just not right. Weird, yeah. But again, I thought some people do do it depending on where you are. But you don't request a Zoom call and then not have your video on. No. Because you request the call. But what I would say is if, and this is why it was slightly plausible in that moment, because if I do like a drop-in on a, like let's say Sky News wants me to do a drop-in on an interview or a radio, often they do keep, because it's a studio feed, so they don't put theirs on.
18:59Anna Williamson:They'll only put the presenters on. So it was fairly plausible. Anyway, it just wasn't sounding right. And then it was then when he said, and I said, well, he said, no, I just need you to log on to all your Meta accounts. And I went, ah, there we go. Someone's wanting me to put a little password in. He's obviously got a back-end system that's capturing. But then they blackmail you with money to get the account back. Right, this is it. That's the scam, I think. Because that's what I was trying to figure out. Where's the money in that? That's what it is. They then say, pay us and we'll give you your account back.
19:26So I then said, I'm afraid I'm not comfortable doing that. And that's why they're targeting influencers. Exactly. Because they know that if they target like Jenny, she's just going to be like, well, it's just pictures of my kids and my mates. It doesn't matter. But they target so-and-so with 800 ,000 followers. Well, there's so much value in that. Exactly. You've built that up.
19:41Anna Williamson:So then I said, well, it's not something uncomfortable doing. It wasn't the purpose of the call. and also I need my social media manager, Bex, to do that for me because, quite honestly, I don't have my logins. So he was like, that's fine, we can reschedule the call. And I was like, yeah, yeah, let's do that, thinking no way. Anyway, came off it. No, the best bit is when Anna goes, I didn't quite catch your name. Can I have your name, please? Silence. There is absolute silence while he tries to think of an American-sounding name with his Indian accent. the guy is basically in India I think, I think it's a scam it'll be in a tightly different country so there's this massive long pause and then he goes, Dylan and I went, sorry what?
20:25and he goes, no because you thought he said like, Dilman or something like you obviously tried to put an Indian spin on his name not at all, I was trying to repeat what he was saying but it was so illegible and he went, Dylan And I went, oh, right, yes, yes, Dylan.
20:44Anna Williamson:Well, thank you. Thank you for your call. We'll be in touch. We'll be in touch. Anyway, so I came off call and I was like, my gut instinct, again, I pre-drilled it, was so off. I was like this. I met Sam and I was like, babe, are you sure this is legit? I said, because that was eggy as hell. And I'd filmed the second half of it, which I showed you today. And she was like, oh, my God, you're making me question it now. She went, I've just gone back through the email chain. It's like, it seems really legit with all the analytics and stuff like that. So it's quite sophisticated. She went, God, I'm so sorry.
21:11Anna Williamson:I went, it's fine. Like, this is what we keep preaching on Luanna about these scams. Anyway, I said, do me a favour. I said, can you please go to their PR personally, you know, to talent manager and just double check like people have been doing for hours. Well, she has. And she said, yeah, well, I don't know what she said, but the guy, the people that she was talking to have now totally ghosted her. They've ghosted. So, yeah, I think that's it, guys. I have been on the receiving end of a scam. Just say no. So bad, isn't it? Why don't people just stand in honest living? Honest. Do you know what?
21:41Anna Williamson:I know. And I was thinking to myself that. And I thought, really? Is that how you wanted to spend your Friday afternoon? Well, it'll be part of a bigger thing. Bigger racket. Anyway, how are you, Em? There you go. I am well. I, this weekend, I'm looking after a tortoise. Oh, my God. So this is what's cracked me up. Because I said to Emma the other day. I was like, you have to do much. I said, where are you going today? She went, I've just got to go. She went, funny story, really. I've got to go and pick up a tortoise. Why? Who is this tortoise? My friend Sophie has a tortoise. Interesting. Has done for most of her life because the tortoise is 25 years old.
22:22My God, I hope you don't kill it.
22:24Anna Williamson:No, I won't. Anyway, that's a lot of responsibility. Anyway, and they're going away for the weekend. I hope Norman doesn't eat it. He's got a giant shell. Norman's not going to get through that. I wouldn't. Also, Norman is probably going to be scared of the tortoise, to be fair. He's a wuss. He's a wuss. He's a wuss. So I am looking after the tortoise this weekend, and I can't wait. How do you look after a tortoise? Yes. Well, you clean up its oopsies. What do they look like? Because it's just wheeze and poos where it is. Are they like rabbit droppings? I don't know. I'm going to find out. Can't house track.
23:02Is it coming in a little pen or something? Yeah, I'm going to combine it to the kitchen. Oh, what? It's like moving around like willy-nilly? Well, yeah, it's a tortoise. What, does it just walk around her house shitting and pissing everywhere then? Yeah, but she combines it to the kitchen or he also has a garden run that he goes in. She has a little pen. No, he's got a tortoise who we know. Lucy. Scott. Has she? Yeah, in Dubai. She's got a tortoise. What, had it for a while? A few years. Oh. Walks around the garden. Oh. Yeah, just feed it. What do you feed it? Salad. He likes strawberries and red pepper.

23:40Oh, red pepper. Do you cuddle it? Do you cuddle a tortoise? I think you can if you want to. You want to? It's not very cuddly, are they? A little weird pet, isn't it? Naomi asked if we could walk it. And Sophie said, I can't express enough. It's a brick with head and legs.
23:54Anna Williamson:Why don't you put it in one of those little trolleys? How are you meant to walk it? Put it in a trolley. You know, like a designer dog, like Lou has, sticks a dog in a bag. Yeah. Why don't you stick the tortoise in a bag? It's not going to go very far, is it? It's quite slow. They're not that slow, actually. Well, you were calling people tortoises last week. And you said they were slow. Yeah, well, slower than a normal person. Lou flits between tortoise, snail and slug, depending on the week. Anyway, I will let you know how it goes. I'm curious. But I'm very excited. Can a tortoise sit? Love that for you.
24:28I'd rather her puppy. Well, so would I. but also puppies will like ruin your house if they're not crumbling and tortoises will just chill so yeah i'm really excited tortoise tortoises well i'm excited why are you excited because this weekend we're going to see celine diongret get ready for le spam oh my god guys
24:52Anna Williamson:all i'm gonna say is you gotta be watching our socials because we are gonna be documenting It's going to be good. Hush! Now I see the cloud in the sky Oh, it's the most flaming view I cannot need my big touch. And we have a mountain of TikToks to film. TikToks. TikToks, brilliant. TikToks and reels that we've been building up. It's going to be a full-time job. It's going to be a full-time job, guys. We've got a good itinerary. I'm buzzing. I'm so excited. I think I might crochet us or berets, shall I? Let's do this. I need to... This is going to be, yeah, we're going to be like, yeah, famous for.
25:35Anna Williamson:Right, I need to put that on my to-do list. Put that on the to-do list. Do you know me? And listen, that's your to-do list. That's it. I think let's move into, I'm curious to know, guys, what you've got lined up, because I'm not going to lie, I think this is the segment that has taken sort of the world by storm, actually. To-do. It's time for... Oh, wait, for me, it's on a to-do list. I've just got to add to it. where's it got oh to do I'd quite like a beret actually berets beret for Paris yeah that'd be nice that'd be nice right it's time for it's the recuseco the recuseco it's the recuseco da da bum right Louise you go first yeah or Imogen yes I can go first I'm going to recommend a Ristorante A restaurant Yeah, so I went there the other Day and it It was just a blinding What's it called?
26:36Value for money I thought, it's a little Chain, I think they're mainly Well, I think they are just in London There's one in Chelsea There's one in I was in one by Clapham Junction There's one in Fulham I can't remember where the other one is Anyway, it's called La Mia Mama which means my mum after basically the chefs are mums in the kitchen and went lovely time, we went on a Wednesday evening and it was rammoed you know the sound of a good restaurant I'm starving, can't wait for lunch we got the set menu we got all of this for £41 each in London you get a glass of Prosecco or a soft drink you get like sharing starters we thought that would be like a small like picky board no 10 dishes decent we were full after the starters how did you find out about this place I think I've been there before once a couple of years ago it's really good a pizza or a pasta oh I love pasta and a pudding which was a trio of puddings
27:52Anna Williamson:41 quid for the whole thing? Yes. What, the whole meal? Yes. Each. Each. Oh, each. Each. But like that value. Oh, for sure. In London. It's mad. And when I tell you we went home with like nine boxes of food left over. Wow. We were eating it for days, but it was so delicious and just amazing value, basically. So it is a bit regional centric, but that's okay because lots of people do come down to the south. Indeed. So it's La Mia Mama. Indeed. And yeah, I would recommend. And delish. Italian food. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Anna?
28:28Anna Williamson:Starving now. So mine is a nail product. So we've talked about... I'm sure I've talked about nails before. I can't remember what we talked about. But anyway, I recently had, not today, but I need to get it back because I've got our lady and she's offered to come and give us all one if we want to. Biosculpture. Oh, that's what I have. Okay. I love biosculpture. Is it what a sculpture you have? Better than acrylic. but they never really do it in England so these are Dubai nails that I've got well I've got my own and you do one nail and then under the lab I've got my biosculpture lady really so biosculpture which is the brand basically but it's biosculpture nails I put in the script there light concrete because that's the only way I can describe it I had those biosculpture nails and I went through the full house move Renault those bad boys, holiday so sea, sand, swimming pools wasn't even a hint of a chip, let alone anything else.
29:25Anna Williamson:So Biosculptor Nails is my rec-o-sec-o of the week. If you want a mani and a pedi that lasts, I think it's worth investing because they don't need to change it as much. I've never had it on my feet though. I'm sure you can. Is it like a gel? Yeah. It's like harder. Let me message... Like biab. It's different. Oh, sorry. I have biab. Oh, yeah. I thought you said that. I have Biab as well. I have Biab. I don't have Biosculptor. Right, so no. So Biosculptor is the brand name, okay? Right. So it's Biosculptor, and you can follow Biosculptor, just looking at it now. And basically, it's the prescriptive...
30:02Anna Williamson:I'm just going to read their Instagram, easy. Prescriptive path for healthy nails, stronger, longer, natural nails with over 400 colours, three-plus weeks chip-free wear. I can absolutely attain to this was one of the best manicures I've ever had. The product is incredible. I can see Samantha Fares follows them here as well. Anyway, they have very kindly... Oh, God. What? You've missed the message. You've ghosted them, haven't you? So they offered to come and do all our nails today. Oh, that's bad. But it is the most beautiful, beautiful manicure. I'll message her back, actually, after that and say sorry for ghosting.
30:45Anna Williamson:Mine are shite. Okay, mine is Netflix. Go on. Okay. Bit of a like niche Netflix, I guess, because it's not, you sort of got to dig a bit, but it's called Missing, Dead or Alive. And it's a bit of an American-y like, but quite gripping. Okay. Good show. It's just individual half an hour, well, hour, like stories. Like true crime-y. True crime. Very addictive. Binge the whole lot on the plane, actually. So Missing. I really Missing Dead or Alive on Netflix like if you just want a quick download for a plane sometimes you don't want a series sometimes you just want a standalone you like a true crime I mean all I can say is America's just wild isn't it like weird shit goes down in America it's obviously a lot bigger than here and there's a lot more people but fuck me some wild shit goes down there so yeah I got quite addicted to that and I binged the whole thing over two nights whilst I was crocheting Netflix show we've got a nail thing and we've got a restaurant.
31:50A restaurant.
31:51Anna Williamson:Mamma mia. That's this week's Recoseco. Who says Halloween only lasts one day? With Wayfair, one night of Halloween becomes a whole season at home. I guess I'll let myself out. Congratulations. I mean it. Buyers rejoice. Buy your car today on Carvana. Limitations and exclusions may apply.
32:52Anna Williamson:See our seven-day return policy at Carvana.com. Right. Next up, I said what I said. I've got an I said what I said for this week. Lovely. I said what I said. I said what I said. This is off the back of the summer holidays, okay, of the weeks and weeks and weeks of the children being off school. I'm only just thawing out from that. I said what I said. I'm sick and tired of people that say, which I had all the time or throughout the holidays, on holiday from strangers, in airports and in restaurants. Oh, but you'll miss them when they're grown up. Maybe I will. But right now in the moment when they're having a sodding tantrum at the dinner table because I'm taking the Netflix away or the iPad away and they're just being an arse because they're wasting more food.
33:40Anna Williamson:And actually right now I just want either time by myself or with my husband. the next person that leans across mid tantrum and goes oh you'll miss them there when you're grown up I've said what I said maybe I will but right now I bloody well won't there you go I said what I said I think that if you're able bodied and come work you shouldn't be get benefits I think everyone would agree that's what I think I said what I said I think that you shouldn't be allowed them I don't think you are are you what sort of benefits? there's so many people that just live off benefits what benefits do you mean?
34:19like any benefits government allowances for like housing and everything I just think if you're able bodied and you can work then you should work you know like loads of people like in I don't know what the places are called you know and you get like whole towns and they just don't work and they just get a house and don't work I think that if well I guess they're
34:40Anna Williamson:yeah claiming benefits for a reason and i guess yeah the reason is just like a job seekers allowance i don't think you should get the allowed job seekers allowance if you're not seeking a job i think it should only be there for three months if you're job seeking and then you should like it shouldn't be allowed people use it as a lifestyle i think if you're able-bodied and able to work and you're actively like been on it for more than three months clearly you are not job seeking and therefore it should just stop wow she said what she said well we're throwing it over to you guys car manufacturers i sound like rupert low car manufacturers need to they say this is what you guys say when you when you throw it over to you car manufacturers need to stop uh fucking adding safety features to the cars i am nowhere near another car curb and it's not my fault the Council are lazy dickheads and won't cut the grass or the hedges.
35:35Anna Williamson:So if my Volkswagen troc could stop screaming at me and applying the brakes all to actually get it. It's beyond terrifying and dangerous. That and latest. This should be a feature you make a choice to add, not one you need to turn off every time you restart your car. And I will add to that, the bloody beeping when you're speeding. It's so annoying. I don't have that in my car. Well, it doesn't go beep, beep when you speed. Not in my car, no. Even if you're like two miles over. I don't have the function. Do you have the automatic braking? No. You feel like you've hit someone. You'll be reversing.
36:07I have preemptive, yeah. And then it slams on the brakes and you're like, oh, and you've not hit anything.
36:12Anna Williamson:Yeah, the pre-sense kicks in. Yeah, it's awful. If you like coconut water, you're a wrong one. Tastes like cum. Yes, I love that. I said what I said. I like coconut water. Oh, this is, yeah, I think we all agree on this one. We did this the other week. Dads don't babysit. It's parenting. Nothing grinds my gears more than when I'm out somewhere and get asked, is dad babysitting tonight? No, he's being a parent. I love bananas dipped in mayo. Oh, that's a disgusting one. Next, I said what I said coming in from you guys. Stop dressing your children in matching outfits when they're different ages.
36:43Anna Williamson:They're not twins. They're individual people. Not a matching set from Atalant. Louise, both your kids were in matching outfits today. Would you like to say anything? They chose that. There you go. Mine dress the same. They like it. But they're close. They're only a year apart. Like, I think it's a bit weird if you've got, like, a teenager and you're dressing them the same as a seven-year-old. Listen, you're entitled to say what you want to say. People should not be... I don't use this as an excuse. I actually agree with this. People should not be allowed to use their ADHD as an excuse for everything.
37:17He's got ADHD, so he finds it hard to regulate his emotions. That's fine, Karen, but he still can't go around kicking and hitting people. What will happen when he's older? He'll be arrested, and they won't let ADHD be used as a get-out-of-jail-free card. ADHD is a condition, not a lifestyle choice. She said what she said.
37:33Anna Williamson:I agree with that. Bangers, guys. I don't use mine as an excuse. Yeah, exactly. You've all got to take accountability. There are reasons, not excuses in life. Right, guys. Guys, we love that. I said what I said. It is such a hotly contested item. I bloody love it. Keep them coming in to you, Luanna and everythingluanna.com. Right, we've got a message from Ella. hey girls I'd like to share a lovely story with you have you just farted again you took off you like rose levitated from the chair with that one my boyfriend and I have pizza for tea do you say tea or dinner or supper the kids have tea I say dinner I think I say supper supper I'd quite like to say supper my mum and dad say supper I feel like probably a few of my friends say so.
38:28Anna Williamson:Yeah, my mum and dad are very poosh. I'm going to start saying supper. My mum has elevenses. Does she? So does Nikki. She's very poosh. But if you're up north. Mum and Nikki are very similar though. They're very poosh. If you're up north, tea is dinner and dinner is lunch. What? Yeah. My mother would not say dinner. Ever. It's common. And I say dinner. And she never says toilet. It's loose. Oh, really? I say dinner though. I say dinner. But it is common. Is it though? Yeah. I would have thought that dinner was more. No, it's like layman's. Depending on what circles one moves in, I'm told that it's not dinner, it's supper.
39:02Anna Williamson:Supper. Tea is an afternoon tea. Yeah. And it's not a toilet, it's loo. It's a lavatory or loo. Or powder room. Or powder room. I might just start being more posh, guys. Nah, fuck that. Right. Sat in front of the telly. I wasn't very hungry, so I didn't eat my crust and put the plate on the floor next to the sofa. Boyfriend asked, are you not going to eat those crusts? Nah, not hungry, I replied, thinking he wanted to eat them. Not long after, he'd fallen asleep in front of the telly, and I fancied the pizza crust, so I finished them off. He woke up while I was in the middle of eating the final crust and said, did you eat all the pizza crusts?
39:38I replied, yeah, sorry, did you want them? He said, no, but I picked the dry skin off the bottom of my feet and put it on that plate. I looked at the empty plate, and I couldn't see the trace of dry skin anywhere, meaning I'd probably eaten every last bit. How wonderful. Love Ella. Would you eat my crusty skin? Not on your nelly. Foot parmesan. More foot parmesan entering the chat.
40:05Anna Williamson:Revolting. I haven't had a gag for a while. Do you remember when you used to go in chat rooms when you were younger? No, that's just you. Did you know that? Yeah, I did. I like AOL.com chat rooms. Did you ever do that in my... Not AOL. Well, but, you know, and then it would be like you'd asterisk for like the action of like so-and-so's entered the chat or asterisk hangs head in shame. Did you ever do that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I love that. I just brought it back in. Yahoo, what chat rooms did you go in? I think it was AOL. I always went in AOL and I always went in pervy ones and had like sex chats sometimes with random strangers.
40:40Of course she did. I know, how bad? Probably pedos and stuff. It shaped me. To be the woman that we all know and love. See? There she is. What were you then if you weren't AOL? We used MSM Messenger for like friends and stuff. Yeah, I used that. And then stuff like Omegle and there was another one. I've not heard of that. Where you get basically like randomly assigned to some random other person on the internet. Normally. I mean, it's so dark, isn't it? It is dark. The wheels just came off. Yeah, sometimes you could do a chat chat. Yeah. Or there was a video chat function as well. And normally it was just like, me and my friends used to play a game.
41:17where it's like how many new person clicks until you get someone wanking. And it was not very many. It's not very many. Wow. Do you remember Ask Jeeves as well? Yes. Do you remember Ask Jeeves? Yeah. Well, I've never done that wanking one. No. Ours was before video. We didn't have video. It felt a bit more... We just had to dial up.
41:39Anna Williamson:Do you remember the old dial up, sitting there waiting for ages? Yeah. And then AOL chat runs in all the different categories. I remember them I actually remember when broadband came out yeah it was like switch to broadband as opposed to your dial up yeah wow right anyway so yeah hi it's from Octavia hi Luanimo please keep me a non use whatever name you fancy here we go come to you for some advice or thoughts really I'm 41 I've had failed numerous rounds of IVF and my doctor has advised the next round he'd prefer to use donor eggs I'm doing this treatment abroad as they offer testing that the UK don't provide I'm not quite ready to give up on my own eggs yet.
42:19Anna Williamson:And the doctor is happy with my mindset and has offered a tandem cycle. This is where we would do a side-by-side round of both my eggs and donut eggs. They also offer a cytoplasmic injection where they take a little bit of the donut egg and inject it into my eggs to basically give it a bit of a boost. So clever, isn't it, what they can do? I mean, it's a fine blow, isn't it? My partner's sperm is fine. It's my eggs that are the problem. So the questions I have are very varied. I don't really know where to start. So I'm just going to brain dump them right here. number one how do you feel about donor eggs number two would the baby feel like mine do i tell them three do i tell the child that they are from a donor egg or would it be this big secret that comes out when they have some medical issue like in an episode of extenders i suppose i feel like going with donor eggs means that i need to grieve a life i thought i was going to have when people say oh doesn't she look like you in my head i would be thinking well she can't say that's not true i've looked into everything there's this thing called yeah epigenetics yeah where your body kind of switches off the genes from the donut egg and puts your characters characteristics into it donut eggs do seem a lot more common when i talk to people i just don't know what to do if it's a donut egg or no family do i go donor any thoughts welcome please girls i mean this is a very personal so personal and we can't really say what we would do i guess yeah i think the cytoplastic injections are really interesting option for you to give your own eggs a boost I think I'd probably it sounds how important it is if I've been through multiple IVF rounds you clearly want a baby and a family and I really do if it was me I'd do the donor eggs because honestly I can only equate this to like Dixie and Andrew for instance and Dixie being Andrew's stepchild he loves Dixie and treats her exactly the same as our other two daughters, if you ask him how many children have you got, he's got three daughters He will never, ever say two daughters and stepdaughter ever.
44:11He treats them all the same. He honestly loves them all the same. So I really don't think that having a child that's not biologically yours is the be all and end all. I just really don't think that. I know people that have adopted and that's their child. Like, trust me, when you're the one that's going to carry it, raise it, comfort that child. you you know the dna really starts to pale into insignificance when you're the one doing the sleepless nights and your hormones are raging because you've given birth to it and your vag has been ripped apart but that's your fucking baby yeah like you know i suppose it's i suppose
44:46Anna Williamson:yeah as you say it's it's in your head isn't it it's kind of compartmentalizing and balancing out and rationalizing the whole dna thing versus uh as you say nature and nurture you know and as you say yeah your baby is your baby through how you look after it and the love you pour into it i mean it's your family like however you get that family whether that's adoption or blended or donor i think it's important to but but i do i do appreciate it is something you have to get your head around imo if you don't mind talking about it you're i think you're probably best placed to talk about this because you and naomi having a family obviously there is a gaping elephant in the room that you are two women who you need who need to have a donor who need to have a donor yeah at some point in your baby making process so oh yeah which means that the baby that you eventually have would only be biologically one of yours whoever used the egg yeah so how does that what do you think about this and what's your thoughts having been in a similar but different situation completely understand the like heartbreak of the thought of your child not being biologically yours and having those failed rounds of ivf i can imagine that that's only been terrible and completely draining for you and so emotional um and making that choice to go for a donor egg is such a huge choice but I do think that as you say DNA is only a little part of it we have are on a fertility kind of journey and if if I had a child well to have a child I have to use donor sperm So that our child is going to be not, I mean, obviously half and half of ours is going to be half someone we don't know and half one of us.
46:31And if that was Naomi's egg and a donor sperm, obviously that's got no DNA from me, but I wouldn't love it any less. If you carried it, then the epigenetics that it is true that when you carry the child, it takes your. it takes on them so actually it would be genetically some of you I think I mean don't quote me on that but I do think that happens because you because obviously my blood would run through it and you do exchange some sort of
47:01Anna Williamson:DNA there and how do you do you mind me asking don't answer this if it's private and so because you're in a similar situation to this lady more than Lou or I could be at this point in that yeah there is a there is a very real possibility that you also could possibly carry a child carry a child that is that is in effect a donor egg yeah you know which would be your wife's and how do you feel about that mentally and how have you processed that maybe you could give her any thoughts to kind of get your head around that personally i really love that thought um it's different for you because yeah because it's the only only way that basically naomi and i can have some sort of impact on the child together um but it's a hard one isn't it you're basically will be carrying your your husband's it's actually the same right because it's the other way around because you're you'd still be carrying your husband's dna in you and you would be if you were to carry yours and nays child yeah and it's it would be if it's nays then you're essentially carrying your wife's like it's actually it's not really that much different situation i guess you for for you to be able to carry a child that is also your husband's child you need that you potentially need that donor egg and that's also really lovely to be able to do that for your husband and to do that for yourself and your family but to your point and lou and i can talk about this in person experience we've both been pregnant okay now yes they have been our eggs but honestly I don't think anything will would ever have taken away though that those feelings of growing a baby the responsibility and I used to as much as I found it really overwhelming and at times really fucking uncomfortable but I did have a real pride in the fact there was only one person that could do this it was me yeah and even now I do if I'm honest you pull that trump card with a bit well because I just think I know it's awful but I'm like because you know everything I say to the kids everything that because they are like a parasite you know So when you're, everything I have, they're feeding it.
49:07Anna Williamson:Everything I was eating and drinking, they were. Everything I was doing, they were getting. So you do have that genetic link to them by growing them in your tummy. And I think possibly that's how you can get your head around that. Should you go through that? I have a couple of friends who have been in this situation. They're years on because they've got their kids now. And they had donor egg for all kinds of reasons, similar, couldn't have their own eggs, husband's sperm, and they've had their babies. and these they have said they have never felt anything different in any way and they chose donor eggs who of the characteristics that look like them as well um so it is very personal but i think hopefully we're giving you a slightly more positive mindset around it you know what else is an interesting flip side to this i have personal experience with someone that i know who had to use donor eggs and went down that route and then covid hit and so they'd created the embryos couldn't then transfer they also did it abroad actually and couldn't transfer because of covid obviously her body then relaxed they got actually pregnant had a child and they're desperate for a sibling for that child but they will not use those donor eggs they it's not even eggs they've got embryos and they will not use them why not because they want the children to be full biological siblings so they'd rather stick with one child even though they were desperate for a sibling that look it didn't make sense to me but it's so personal and that's what I mean it really does come down to what you feel happy with because in my mind I'd be like well it's still half your husband's even though I would do it but probably because I can't speak for my feelings I loved giving well I didn't give birth to my kids but I love I love my kids I love having my babies and I would rather have my babies I think that she perhaps she was really worried that she wouldn't love that child the same because it wasn't her egg I don't know and you know what that's 100 % their decision I don't judge them for that at all but it was just very interesting to me to learn that because actually then I could then I did think well I do kind of get it if you've got one that's 100 % and then she's thinking well if that one isn't genetically mine will I feel differently how will I treat you know maybe she just didn't want to put it's just it's just mindset some people think of it as a blessing some don't and I think look we wish you luck babes I think hopefully we've given you maybe some but you know you've got choices and I think choices you know are good overall I would also on the on the should I would I tell the child that it was a a conceived baby I personally would yeah I would too a child I think deserves to know exactly where they come from do you think children need to know if they're IVF babies or not I don't think so I don't think it matters I think my personal opinion is I think every child has has the right to know where they come from I think if they ask and you're like there's no harm in telling them hey yeah anyway let's move on we've got another message from Griselda says hey there I thought I'd send you a disgusting story of what happened to my dad at a well-known catering chain that rhymes with Cubsie.
52:16Cubsie. Cubsie. I've got no idea. A sandwich chain. Cubsie. Subway.
52:25Anna Williamson:Oh! No. Cubsie. No, it's my, like, favourite fast food place. Okay, here we go. I don't even like fast food, but I love a subway. Oh, my God, here we go. This might put me off it for life. Do I want to read this? Do you want me to read it? Do you want to put your fingers in your ears? I'm not going to have Eat Subway again, am I? No, you might do. No, I think you'll be fine. You'll be fine. No, you'll be fine. It's not about the food. No, it's not about the food. You'll be fine. So her dad works on a local market in our town, and as you can imagine, public toilets aren't always the nicest, so he'll go and grab a coffee from a local coffee shop, use their loo.
52:56But on this occasion, he went to get a breakfast from said takeaway. Before ordering, he went to the loo. There's only one loo for all to use. So there is a large open-plan toilet suitable for wheelchair users, you know the ones I mean but if you haven't locked the door properly and someone opens it you're there in your full glory pants down nowhere to hide well as he opened the door expecting it to be empty as it was unlocked he was met with a staff member having a full on wank over the loo and the ending of it too so there was no way of this working like of this worker hiding what he was really doing it's fair to say my dad didn't order anything and hasn't been back since I warned him if he does go back do not ask for mayo he had a Tommy tank in his work toilet in the disabled toilet dirty fucker at least lock the door it's not put me off subway I love a veggie pasta it's just put me off men remember if you want to get in touch you can email us at everythingluanna.com and also drop us a whatsapp and a voice note our number is 075 215 64640

A jilted Scouse bride has gone viral on Ticketocky. Yes. Yes, I know. We know her. What? You know her. Do I? You do. Hang on, let's back it up before we start screaming in everyone's ears.
54:50Anna Williamson:Yes. Right, so this is a genuine story Emma was put in. Lou did alert myself the other day that we know this person. I saw it on Archbishop of Bantabree. So did I? And you saw it, you forwarded it. So a jilty Scouse bride has gone viral on TikTok because she continued her Tuscany wedding going without her groom. Now, Catherine Jones, tell her in a minute, was preparing to marry her partner of six and a half years in Italy when he decided to call off the marriage a week before. After returning home just days before the big day, Catherine noticed that her husband-to-be was acting cold and distanced.
55:22Anna Williamson:That evening, he sat at the kitchen table and said quietly, I just feel we shouldn't get married. It left her devastated. She spent 18 months planning a three-day wedding in Tuscany. It had a welcome dinner, ceremony, pool party. And because the venue was fully paid and non-resonable deposits. And it was a week before. Exactly. She refused to scrap her plans, so she decided to host the party with her closest family and friends. From what I read, she sacked off all his friends and family. Yeah, she uninvited all of his sides. That's it, and took 30 of her friends and family to it. Now, who is it, Louisa?
55:52Anna Williamson:Right. You know Social Nation, Kath. Think Wine. Think Wine that sponsored our first tour. That sponsored our tour. Kath was on. Scouser. You know Scouser Kath? Yeah. that's her that's her it's her it's her we have worked with Kath for years Kath owns a company called Social Nation yeah and also Think Wine Group and Think is a low calorie low sugar prosecco sponsored our tour yeah she's a serial entrepreneur a lovely lovely lady I saw this on Archbishop Banterbury started reading the comments saw someone had tagged the Kath from this wedding and thought I'll do a bit of stalking, clicked. And I was like, follow.
56:32And I was like, oh my God, it's Kath from Social Nation.
56:36Anna Williamson:Crazy, crazy. So it has gone viral. She said, quite rightly, I was heartbroken and devastated, but two things can be true at once. I tossed and turned all night, decided there and then. If it carries on, it has to. Show must go on. That's our girl. So yeah, it was a week before, as you say, everything was paying for. Did she say she took her dress? She didn't wear her actual wedding dress, but in her video she has a white dress on and that was like the evening dress she was going to wear. She looked amazing. They all still had their makeup done. Her mum, her sisters did wedding speeches. It looked like a great fucking party.
57:10And the mayor of the local village, Val d 'Orcia, which is the Tuscan municipality where the venue is located, has invited her back and the local vineyard owners have offered her complimentary stays. But Kath, I just want to say, I didn't message her because I felt like she would have been bombarded. Everyone might pile on. Kath, I bloody salute you. I always knew you were a good egg. And well done. I mean, can I, can you just, yeah. Could you believe it when I told you it was her?
57:37Anna Williamson:I was like, no, because, yeah, we know Kath pretty well. She came to all our shows and we were obviously messaging lots about, you know, the booze and stuff like that. I also do wonder, though, as I always do, you know me, my mind always goes to, I wonder what he's thinking. Like, he just sacked off his wedding to her. Like, we don't know why. And she's coming the time of her life. And it's just gone viral. I know. I mean. He's shrinking. Oof. anyway look it's much easier to call it off than get a divorce let me tell you we have a lot of people that write into us doubting whether they should get married and I think it's a good point you know what he did the right thing by her and by him doing it before and by him and you are better off just being honest with people because so much so many marriages are just so miserable so and you go through with it for the sake of it well done to both of them it was actually very brave as shitty as it was for her I totally appreciate it it was quite brave to do that and this guy up next 23 year old guy in Poland is facing 8 years in prison after allegedly ordering 300 pizzas to strangers in a massive prank but this is actually not a prank it's a felony they've arrested him on charges of stalking, identity fraud and causing substantial financial harm to local restaurants and he is facing 8 years in prison the motive remains unclear they don't know why he's done this but it just has gone way past a prank.
58:59He did it across different major Polish cities, including Warsaw, Krakow and Rokhlau. How have I pronounced that? Oh, Rokhlau, not Krakow. Krakow and Rokhlau. They were paid on delivery, the pizzas, meaning that these unsuspecting strangers were answering their doors who were demanding money and it was food they never ordered. And embedded in the delivery notes were personal details about the recipients that according to Polish authorities could only have been known to them or people close to them. Some notes contained explicit threats, references to abducting a child, setting fire to a notary's office, causing a deliberate road accident.
59:39One single order totaled 300 pizzas worth about 10 grand. Several restaurants cancelled it outright because physically making those pizzas in the time frame wasn't possible. And pizza delivery harassment has a long history. a Florida man was legally banned from ordering pizzas after placing dozens of fake orders but anyway it's crazy very dark isn't it though with the underhand notes in it very dark and very weird it does make me think though
1:00:08Anna Williamson:it is actually very trusting we do actually get delivery out in the village and do you get cash on delivery I always just pay for it anyway but you think a lot of people are dishonest from one weird thing to the next it's time for It's the Weirdo of the Week Right, Callum is nominating his gran. Hi girls, love the pod straight man fan here. Hi babe I'm nominating my gran for Weirdo of the Week she has a good version of literally everything. Oh I love this my mum has this too and will not let anyone use it. Good towels, good mugs, good biscuits, good bin bags I could go on. There's never a set of good bin bags in her cupboard that have never been sorry there is a set of good bin bags in her cupboard that have never been used because you don't want to waste them on rubbish I've never seen anyone touch the good mugs in my entire life she's 81 what is she saving them for oh my she can drink out of a good mug on her deathbed oh I love that Tina says hi Luanamo pod's shy and I hate you laugh out loud joke but I'm with Danielle and the jazz has to go anyway nominating my hubby and through him my now entire family ever since i've known my husband eric whenever we drive past more than one cow in a field winds the window down and shouts afternoon ladies it doesn't matter if we're on the motorway doesn't matter if it's pissing it down the window comes down and we salute the cows we have three kids and he's infected their little minds so they think it's completely normal and now join in with much enthusiasm we don't however acknowledge horses sheep or pigs isn't that odd it's very cheapest of you that is very odd although i do do the whole suit and my kids i find it weird when people do that i can't not do it now something bad's gonna happen if i don't then jd works me always does that we'll be in the lorry and then i look and it's like she's got a tick yeah and then i realize it's just too many and it's only when you then explain a superstition and anything like that to an innocent child who reasonably says why do you do that and then you go oh let's see the decision what's the point in that they're literal brains i'm like there is no point well that's just weird yeah you're right actually it is it's really weird i'm gonna stop it immediately right who's weirder then anna the good don't waste the good things gran or the saluting the cows of the afternoon ladies i like the cow salute oh and i was well i don't think it's weird the cow salute i mean i'm gonna go for the good stuff, saving the good stuff for an endless day.
1:02:42Anna Williamson:Well, I can't, I'm calling myself a weirdo, which I am with the saluting of the magpies. But, and I feel bad about the grand with her good stuff. But I'm going to go with the grand because, yeah. What is she waiting for? She's 81. What she's waiting for. Well, also, I'm hoping my mum might pick up on this. What you're waiting, what you're waiting, what you're waiting for? She's got to stop wasting, you know, leaving the good stuff. Those are the good chocks. That's the good tea. For what? For what, mama? For what? Just drink the good stuff.
1:03:09Anna Williamson:You can have the bog standard. It's always saving the good stuff. So the gran and the good stuff is our weirdo of the week. Right, Louisa. I'm trying to think of a rant. If you don't have one, that's fine. Should I just not bother? If you don't feel ranting. Full sweaty vag on camera. Cut that out, please. Do not cut that out. Leave it in. Right, rant this week. Guys, I don't think I've got a rant. I'm zen. I'm back in the sunshine in Dubai. We're going to Paris this weekend. Yes. And that is it. So instead of a rant, I'm just channeling good times. Bring on Celine in gay Paris. You can practice your Duolingo Francaise.
1:03:47No, I've ghosted Duolingo and then it was making me feel bad, so I deleted the widget.
