In short

The hosts kick off with rants about British weather and unnecessary road rage, then discuss airport parking problems and animal welfare/red tape when importing horses. The episode also covers personal updates (Easter, family life), celebrity sightings, TV/book recommendations, and a major listener Q&A about birth trauma and reforming maternity care.

Guest backgrounds

No formal guests appear. The “guests” are the hosts (Anna, Lou, and Imogen/“Imogen Rose Letizia Austin-Hart” mentioned as producer) and an anonymous listener who asks for help about traumatic births.

Key claims

Sunlight improves everyone’s mood. Road rage often stems from “jobsworth” systems and avoidable situations (airport parkers, slow customs). Birth trauma is common and should not be trivialized; listeners deserve psychological support and better maternity reform. Planned C-sections can be a safer, more controlled option for some, and forceps should be banned.

Notable examples

Airport parkers abandoning cars near Stansted; horses delayed by customs paperwork; Mel Schilling’s death (Married at First Sight) prompting “do life” advice; recommendations include Last One Laughing (Prime) and Wild Dark Shore (Charlotte McConaughey); birth-trauma stories include severe antenatal anxiety, rapid labor complications, blood loss, and prolapse/incontinence.

0:00Anna Williamson:Queen Carvania stood haloed by the morning sun. An army hung on her every word. My champions, I have sold my chariot on Carvana. Twas a lovely SUV, an inexplicably queenly offer. They're even coming to the castle to collect it. Tonight we feast! An offer you can feast on. Sell your car today on Carvana. Pick up fees, may apply. this is a global player original podcast if mel taught me one thing by being a mate with hers is just fucking do life isn't he dead and he was having a sausage bat right next to my mate just because you've got bipolar doesn't mean it makes an excuse for saying shitty things i also have just wretched so hard i've just wet myself i don't know how i'd feel about like my other half seeing a gigantic hole on the moon and being like oh that reminds me of my wife leave the moon alone oh boy why does it always come down to the lowest common denominator

1:16Anna Williamson:be warned it's luanna and this podcast contains honest upfront opinions rants pants and general explicit content but you know you love it. Good morning. Good morning. How's life? Oh good. Welcome to Luanna the podcast you fabulous bitches. I'm Anna, she's Lou and Emojin is here as well. Guys, love you. Happy post Easter holes. It's been a roller coaster. Easter delivered. Well no wait, was it Easter when you came over? It was Easter week and it was sunny. It was the post Easter week. It's been sunny and my joy is joying. And I'm falling in love with England all over again because when the sun shines here it brings me joy.

2:04And you know what else happens? That joy spreads and everybody is in a better mood. You're so right. And when the sky is grey, people are grey. And when the sky is sunny, people are sunny. And it really has a profound effect on everybody not you Anna you like the seasons but it really like

2:23Anna Williamson:makes such a difference I think I think you are right that the absolutely the majority of people you're right the minute the sun shines I mean let's be honest and Lufanians as well I would bet 50 pounds that every single person has been commenting on in in jubilation whether it's in passing or on emails or text messages and reffing the weather I've been doing work emails to people And the top of my email has been, hope you're enjoying the weather. I mean, that's what we do as Brits, right? We do. It is such a British thing to do. But no, it's been joyful. So except one miserable **** I encountered yesterday.

3:00Yes. Right? Go on. Right. Go on. Get this, okay? I'm going to just top rant here. I won't rant at the end once. I want to get this off my chest, you know. Get it off the chest, folks. Right. I was dropping. So we had a lovely time last week. Anna came over. Lucy came. Carrie came. all the kids were like going nuts together and um i dropped lucy back to the train back to stansted or like when she was leaving oh yeah basically do you know what fucks me off near me i live like 10 minutes from stansted guys so it's really we get a lot of not as close to me but on the way to stansted there's so many fucking airport parkers that just abandon their fucking cars on the side of the road and it causes such issue with traffic because there's also loads of construction going on and they're built i don't know what the fuck they're doing they're building houses or some solar bullshit whatever's going on there's a lot of trucks as well right so i'm driving along i'm in my mum bus my viano and there's just like airport parkers airport parkers so i've indicated and like pulled round because i could see there was nothing coming well what i didn't realize is that for whatever reason there was like a car that was just like still driving but had stopped like behind the airport parkers behind him there was like a big like construction type truck thing and i like pulled around them even though they were like driving but they were stationary anyway i really pissed off that construction truck driver he was fuming at me It was a genuine mistake because I was just driving and thought, oh, they're all parked.

4:43I'll just indicate and go around because nothing was coming. So why would they be sitting there when nothing's fucking coming? See your gap and take it. Well, obviously, in front of the construction guy was some dickhead driver that didn't know how to drive, so hadn't gone when there was a gap. Anyway, he was pissed at me. I ended up in front of him and we're going along like whatever. It was a genuine mistake. And as we then got, like, to this next roundabout, this petty fucking twunt, do you know what he did? He literally pulls into the other side of the traffic and in, like, front of me just to get in front of me.

5:25Oh, what a bellend. Like, literally proper cut me up. And I was like, okay, if that's what makes you happy. Like, I was surprisingly calm in that instance. He proper cut me up. He was so thrilled with himself. but he was going straight at the roundabout and I was going left anyway which made me laugh even more but he was like so angry and I just thought yeah he was really like he literally like basically nearly took the side of the car off in his effort just to get around me and in front of me to like pull the wanker sign at me and I just waved at him with a big smile and I was like I'll irritate you even more by beeping and waving but what a what a twat like he was just so angry like why are people so angry mind you i get something well you do but but but you're right i had someone not

6:14Anna Williamson:long ago actually same thing you know when you just like genuinely accidentally don't it was a genuine don't give way on a like a chicane thing or something where it's a genuine like and as you go past you're like i'm really sorry i'll always own it like and but then you get like these proper angry people that are proper like flipping the bird and you feel really personally offended. I'm like, do you want to fucking chill out over there? Do you know what I mean? I know. He was so mad. I was like, what the fuck is wrong with you? Actually, it should be honest. If I had more time, I would have had an argument with him, but I didn't have more.

6:44I didn't. So I just like beeped and waved and smiled. I thought that would irritate him more. And just knowing that his day was so upset, I was like, oh, well, you grumpy fucking twat. Yeah, that's my rant. It's unnecessary road rage. It was a genuine mistake i didn't mean to go around him i thought he was parked and that what really is the problem here is all the fucking airport parkers and now they've started giving them tickets anyway so why don't they just pay the hundred quid like i'm sorry but if you can't afford to pay for parking at the airport you shouldn't be going on holiday do you know what i mean it's not that much more expensive just book the fucking long stay parking and stop clogging up the residential roads Well, it's so bad.

7:26It causes such a major issue. And then actually all the people in that local area where it is, I'm part of their Facebook group, even though I don't live in the area. People vandalize their cars and shit because they get so pissed off at them.

7:39Anna Williamson:Can I just say, I am so proud of you for being in a local Facebook group like me. This is why we are merging into one. I don't comment because I just like seeing all that. But people literally start to take their wind mirrors off, smash their cars, scratch them, because they're so pissed off at the airport. I don't blame them. I would too. I'd be like, fuck off. Go and pay for it. Now you can pay for the damage to your car, even though it's a criminal offence, and I've never done it. But I just want to say they fucking deserve it. They deserve it for leaving their cars there, just abandoning their cars.

8:13And you know what? These aren't cheap cars. They've got BMWs there, Mercedes there. They're not some in-betweeners little... Pinto? Yeah, they can afford a parking space. Listen, if you're going on holiday, you can afford to park your fucking car in the long state and not create havoc on the residential roads in the local area. Have some respect. Love that rant. Basic respect for the area, locally and the residents. And it causes big problems for people that are driving and it's dangerous when people are trying to cross the road and then they can't see and they're parking at the end of curves and all that shit.

8:49Anyway, rant over. Why don't the council just permit the roads? I don't know. They've done a bit, but they just need to fucking double yellow it. Like, because everybody's got a driveway around there anyway. Nobody needs to park on the road. So just fucking double yellow. But guess what? Because there's so much red fucking tape. If it was me, if I lived there, do you know what I'd do? You don't paint it. I'd buy my own fucking line marker. I would. I'd get on Amazon. I'd get some yellow paint and I would go and I would paint my own yellow lines on the road. And do you know who lives near me? who's the dude that's married to Penny Lancaster?

9:23Rod Stewart. Rod Stewart. He got his own little tarmac machine and started filling in all the potholes. I mean, yes to Rod. He lives local to me. He does. Everything takes so fucking long. We're just not reactive here at all. No. And do you know what else? I picked up the horses yesterday. Horses are back from Dubai. And I was talking to the woman there from the plant and health agency, plant and animal whatever agency. and she was like do you know for each horse it takes us one hour like manpower like before they even come so she was like this flight was pretty empty it's only 17 horses on it that's 17 man hours and then when they land right it takes an hour for the horses to get to you so then I got the horses back then I had to wait another hour for the customs paperwork and by that point the horses have been traveling for 24 hours and I because they got picked up at midnight and they didn't get to me until 8 p.m uk time which was 11 p.m dubai time so it's nearly 24 hours traveling and i was like were they okay ever has put they were fine but it's like whoever puts these fucking stupid red tape rules in place just can't be animally like doesn't think of welfare all they think of is money above welfare and that really fucked me off as well that was another complaint of mine and the woman was like i know she was like this doesn't need to be like this they've all got a passport all you need to do is to get them off the plane scan the fucking microchip match it to the passport and be on your way and i was like i know why aren't we running this shit who has put this in place we just need to like reform this streamline it like why is every fucking process so pissing painful slow and you know why it's because they're trying to please too many people and that's what it's about it's all the customs bullshit and they're just trying to get everything out of you.

11:15Like it just is insane processes. I'm with you. I wish I was in charge. I just wish. It just doesn't need to be this fucking difficult. Nothing does. There's too many fucking pem-pushed, jobs worth, bullshit in the world. Let's just streamline and become more lean. Lean processes. Six Sigma. This is me.

11:38Anna Williamson:This is my new career, guys. Go on. And do you know what? Can I be your campaign manager? And it's going to be just say yes cut the shit just say yes quick time bitch love it Lou bloody love that a good strong rant to start off the episode this morning also we should just say um morning guys as well please do make sure you're following our podcast on your favorite podcast platform and that you have subscribed on YouTube as well hello YouTubers lovely to see you can everybody see I don't know how much Bex crops this for YouTube but Crumble is in the background guys in his little studio bed So let's have a little catch up.

12:15Anna Williamson:So we've had a lovely Easter, haven't we? So we, the collective, we hope you've had one as well. And I have officially now met the crumble. And I can say, guys, this is quite honestly, and I know Imo, obviously Norm is up there as well. This is no shade on Normski. We never see Norm anymore though. What's happened to Norm? Bring Norm over. When you next come over, bring Norm. Yes, bring Norm in. But when you drive, bring him on the train, though, and you can bring him on the train. I took Crumble on the train. He was a really good boy. So I, and this dog, let me tell you, is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

12:57Anna Williamson:Instagram can't even do him justice, quite honestly, Lou. He is so cute. And also, Lufanians, especially, actually, this is why you particularly now need to subscribe to our YouTube, actually, because we are, or I've decided, I haven't even asked Lou, but because Crumble is so goddamn cute, in the studio. We've got a little bed for him. We know it's always the we. Lou has got a little pink bed. Yeah, she has bought the most disgusting amount of clothes for this dog. I've now got a sheen or sheen, however you say it. Sheen. Dog clothing obsession. She has. So every week we are now going to change Crumble's outfit.

13:31Anna Williamson:In fact, if anyone would like to send Crumble a themed outfit, please do. Please send it in. I don't know where to send it into, but just let us know if you do want to send it. You can send it to me at Global HQ and I can bring it in. So Global HQ in London, Leicester Square. Just make sure it's with the attention of Imogen Rose Letizia Austin-Hart, producer of Luanna, and it will find its way to us. So there you go. So yeah, Ims, how has your Easter been? Yeah, well, it was kind of weekend before last night. It's been like ages ago now. It does. It's been a long couple of weeks, actually. And then...

14:07Anna Williamson:Well, the kids are still off school. Well, mine are. No, yours aren't. Yours have gone back up. I'm just about to go back. No, my kids have not been in school since February. I am dying over here. Yeah, you are. Mine are going back tomorrow. So I still haven't. I've still got the joy. Oh, well, I have had to send mine away with Natalie to Centre Parks this weekend. I just can't. Guys, it's Friday. This pod will go out on Monday. But this weekend, yeah, I've just been like, just take them now, please. Yeah. Take them away. We're all done. I will pay for centre parks I just need some peace So what have you done Im Have you been stuffing yourself with easter eggs Bit of famo time, bit of time with the wife Yeah so like over the long weekend obviously I went to go and see James P Oh how was it It was so good It was at the Barbican which is such a fun venue and lots of lols, lots of singing he was obviously brilliant um yeah it was it was so much fun uh i also over that weekend went to go and see the musical waitress oh what's it like it's really good of that it's real good um it's on tour around the country so uh i went to go and see it in wimbledon and it was fab it was so good um so if you can go and uh have a look at that um and then since then she's been back at work and trying to enjoy the sunshine.

15:39Anna Williamson:Yeah, just the same old shit, really. Good.

15:44Anna Williamson:Hey, I'm Vogue Williams. And I'm Amber Wilson. And you know what? 16:10Anna Williamson:I had an, and I'm just going to touch on it. I don't want to bring the mood down, obviously, but I have had a lot of messages about people saying it because Ease has been lovely and we went up to Windermit and also hello to the woman, Lufanian, who we went right up to the top of some mountain peak with the kids. Wow, did they walk all that way? Yeah, they did. Just as we got to the top of it, Elle stacked it in some cow shit. and then this lady I thought this is such an amazing view so I said to this lady love the sunnies Lou said to this lady um would you mind just taking a picture of us as a family oh no she offered actually she went do you want me to take a picture of your family and did the picture and then on the way she went by the way I'm a massive Lufanian um so I just want to say hello to all the lovely Lufanians I met back up in our second home in the lakes um but it was a bit of a it was a bit of a kind of reset trip because a lot of people have messaged me because um I know a lot of people uh watched Married at First Sight and um we had the really sad news that uh my friend Mel uh Mel Schilling from Married at First Sight um really tragically lost her battle with cancer a few weeks ago um and it's just been obviously devastating and awful but I think it's what's so lovely is that there's been such an outpouring of love for Mel and for those that do or don't know I was friends with Mel.

17:26Anna Williamson:Not only, we sort of became friends through working on the same network, doing basically the same job, both relationship experts, four sister shows on Channel 4. But we became sort of, you know, really good friends, really through being parents and stuff like that. So lots of people have been commenting and sort of asking how, you know, how family are and, you know, how we all are. And it took a massive, it was a massive shock. We were finishing off Celebsco Dating a couple of weeks ago and we actually have the same production team, most same production team obviously Paul who works with Mel on maths yeah works on our show same makeup artist everyone's very close with Mel on our show so we definitely had a it was a big cloud of you know of sadness um around the end of our filming and you know so much love to her her husband and her little girl Maddie so really awful um but but what an amazing woman Maddie's 10 um and I knew that Mel I knew Mel wasn't going to make it which which was horrendous And it's been something that quite privately her and her family have been dealing with in the last few months.

18:26Anna Williamson:But I was in contact with her up until a few weeks before she passed. I sadly didn't get a chance to see her right at the end. Sadly, that time was too short for me to get there. But yeah, just wanted to say, you know, thanks really, I guess, for everyone being so nice about her because she really was an absolute belter. And you know what? She was such a woman's woman as well. She was an absolute powerhouse. and what she made me think girls and I messaged you Lou about it I had a really sort of sad day about it I'm obviously more than a sad day but I was really soppy because I was because it made me just I was like it just puts things into perspective of yeah you know fuck it you just got to go for it and you know what if Mel taught me one thing by being a mate with hers is just fucking do life just fucking do life and do it with the people that you love sack off the people that you that bring negi into your life and just fucking embrace it you know what i'm doing it for mel doing it for mel well that is good advice yeah good advice you were like the same you're like bubs we just get one one chance at this shit and i was like you do you only get one chance at life you just got to grab it by the balls and live it because you never know what's gonna happen you never know it's what i preach because yeah and if you're like unhappy in a situation if you're not it like if you're not being fulfilled and if your cup is not full you are the only person that can make that change and you don't know what life's going to hit you with so don't let it pass you by preach it sister preach it sister um and it was with that actually I am oh sorry I'm just seeing our whatsapp chat scurming load now basically sorry side note here um Mel would be appreciating this I'm sure me Lou Lucy and Carrie are trying to get tickets for Celine Dion right and my god we have been trying and quite oh you're on it Lou's on it so full disclosure we're on a side chat right now whilst recording this because Carrie Johnson is in is she in the wait is she in the wait queue Lou what's she doing we've basically tasked her waiting room okay we've talked can I just say hold on because somebody um yes please right if anyone can get us into the Celine Dion Paris please we really want Celine Dion tickets and the four of You'd have think we were all connected enough to get tickets for this.

20:40Anna Williamson:We're really not. We're not connected enough. But my friend, Lucy's mum, you know Lucy in Dubai, her mum sent me this, what I've just said. Someone said, Celine Dion Paris, various dates and seats available, DM me for price and availability. So she's then messaging this woman. But plus, I have asked Andrew to get onto it for us. Love this. Because I did say to Andrew that I would go with him, but he's not that into Celine. And then you wanted to go. So I said, Tim, please, for my birthday, can he get me four tickets and a night away in Paris for all of us? So let's see if he pulls through with that.

21:18Did you actually ask him that? Yeah, but he's not read my message yet.

21:22Anna Williamson:Oh, my God, I want to actually sell your fetch. I don't know if I read receipts, but I sent him a voice note this morning because I'm not with Andrea at the minute. We're back to living separately again.

21:35It's a system that works. it's it's it works it's karma i did i did when we were together in dubai yeah yeah you'll be back you'll be back you'll you'll be back it's just a hiatus um it's just just until end of summer now guys um what else has been going on we've probably waffled enough have we we we have probably

21:55Anna Williamson:i'll just say one quick thing as well um if that's okay because the celebrity you know i No, it's not. You may shut up now, Anna. Quite exciting, though. So obviously I talk about the Celebrity Farm Shop. Some people say to me, why do you call it that? It's just because celebs go there. Sounds really knobby, but I live in a quite un-celeb area. But just anyway, that happens. Guess who's been filming in the village surrounding areas? Proper celebs, guys. Like mega celebs. Tom Cruise. Nearly. So you know Mobland? Do you know Mobland? No. Is that on Apple TV, I think it is? No. Sorry. No. Prime? Amazon?

22:36Anna Williamson:Netflix? Don't remember. People will know Mobland, though. It's so good. So we have had... Huh? Well, you know where I go to the gym with Lillia? Piers Brosnan. Yeah. He's staying in my local gym. No, he's not. Isn't he dead? And he was having a sausage bap right next to my mate. Stop. I swear he died. So Pierce Brosnan and... And... Who's the one that did the dance in that movie with the guy with the big nose and then she had a nose job and never worked again? No, that's Patrick Swayze. That's Patrick Swayze. And he did die, I can confirm, in Dirty Dancing. Patrick Swayze snuffed it. But Pierce Brosnan, according to my friend Michelle, who was sat having breakfast in the gym next door to Pierce Brosnan, who's having a sausage bap.

23:21Anna Williamson:And guess who else? Guess who else was also there? Tom Hardy. He's the one from Mamma Mia! Tom Hardy the fit one Tom Hardy and Piers yes he is from Mamma Mia Piers Brosnan so Tom Hardy and Piers Brosnan are living within I would say spitting distance of me and the village at present time and you know Tom Cruise lives like around here somewhere yes he has also not as into him for this Scientology bullshit not keen on how he treated Katie Holmes and he doesn't see that kid either which I think is quite mean and so I'm not a massive Tom Cruise fan but however if I met him obviously I'd fawn him. I mean we'd obviously be huge hypocrites.

24:01That's back to me just being a total hypocrite again. Like I put my hands up but I admit it. I own it. You own it. Just call me Louise the Hypocrite Zisman. We will deed poll it actually.

24:11Anna Williamson:Excellent. Well should we move on to It's the Wreck-a-Zerco, the Wreck-a-Zerco, it's the Wreck-a-Zerco. Stunning. Stunning sync. Stunning. Right you go first. So my one is because obviously things have been a little sad of recent times, sad and happy, obviously. I like a bloody good laugh. Now, this has been promoted loads on socials. It came out, it was kind of a couple of weeks ago, but it's so fun to go back and watch. It's on Prime. It's called Last One Laughing. There's been a series already, and I don't know if you guys have seen it. it is basically a bunch of comedians like Jimmy Carr hosts it but big comedians like Bob Mortimer Diane Morgan from Motherland really really bloody funny and basically the sole aim of it's like big brother they're kind of like in a big brother house and it's like 10 comedians and the sole aim of the game of the show is to not laugh okay so last one laughing my god if you just want to I'm so good at this because I wouldn't get anything.

25:16Anna Williamson:I'm going to watch it. You would love it. But what's so funny is because they're obviously comedians, as a viewer, you are just getting solid comedy gold all the time from each and every one of them. And they're doing tasks. It's like Big Brother Tasks. And there was this one where Diane, I love Diane Morgan, she's so bloody funny. She was reading. So she was reading this passage. I can't remember what play it was from. But then she was farting. She obviously had a fart machine. but they all come up with their own ideas of how to obviously make them all laugh. Yeah, correct. And she was farting through this passage.

25:48Anna Williamson:And what is actually really funny is trying to watch people not laugh. The faces they pull, like these gurning faces, it's such a bit of joy. Last one laughing, thoroughly recommend it. It's fun. It's a low lift and it just will bring you a great bit of joy. So my record second this week is that. Okay, I might watch that over the weekend. Yeah, I do. ims do you want to go okay uh mine is a book uh that i read recently it's called wild dark shore by a lady called charlotte mcconaughey and it's just like the best book i've read in a long while it's fiction uh premise is there's an island between australia and antarctica where there used to be like a research base but now it's kind of deserted and there's one family that lives on the island and then one day it's like in the middle of nowhere obviously one day a woman washes up on the shore and it's all about why is she there and what's she was dead or alive that is for you to find out and it's really really bloody good did holiday read yeah really good i I mean, I read it when I was in Thailand and I was crying in the pool whilst reading it at the end of the book.

27:11Anna Williamson:Oh, really? But it's just a really lovely book and it's about, I don't know. Have you got the actual physical book? Yes, I do, yeah. Can you lend it me when I'm going to Sicily? I love a crispy paged book when it's been in the pool and the pages get a bit wet and then they dry. But I just don't have the attention span to read it. Yeah, you don't have the attention span. When we go to our Sicily summer, can you lend it me, Ims? absolutely um if you don't like reading it though lulu i think old reese witherspoon has picked up the rights for it so i'm assuming they're going to be sorting it into some sort of video format at some point that'd be good that'd be good yeah anyway so if you're looking for your next read i would really highly recommend it love it okay thank you ims wild dark shore yes top holiday read from imo sorry can i just say that slightly distracted there because andrew has sent me a voice note back now i've transcribed it go on whilst you were just talking because obviously i can't play it because we're recording but he's really paying attention to there imo i was wild dark shore by mcconaugan um he says hi babe yeah of course something something i'm not crazy about celine so we'll do a like a trip like me and him just give me the dates for me and him trip just tell me the dates and i'll book something in and then i will book you celine tickets today for the four of you for paris on the date you've given me okay babe bye that's what the transcription says i've just forwarded the voice note in our group and carrie's obviously listened to it and she's just replied can we all marry him please so it's obviously a good can I just say it's blosa territory again get in there that is so fucking exciting oh my god I love Andrew thank you okay well then you are forgiven then for being on the phone go for it though what's your recosec in my doll my recosec is so um a few weeks ago we spent the weekend in London we went to the Savoy have I talked about this already no no you haven't actually um and we went to the Savoy which is like one of my fave hotels anyway and they've got like the theatre at the Savoy and at that theatre playing at the moment is Paddington and let me tell you I've always put Matilda as my favourite musical like I just love Matilda the musical I've seen it like four times well Paddington blows it out of the water it is absolutely a must must must must must must see like you have to see it it's i think it's pretty hard to get tickets for it it is but do what you can beg borrow steal like whatever you can do to go and see this show it's absolutely bloody magical it's just the music is incredible it's tom fletcher from mcfly that did it no yeah he's he wrote the score yeah and the woman that wrote the book that i think the the the script came from go on taught me at school no no yeah well let me tell you she just shits talent that woman because it is and tom fletcher amazing i've heard the songs he that is it's just incredible i cannot tell you like i often fall asleep in the theater um because you know attention span and then it's warm and cozy and dark and and i'll often have a little kip during a show but there was no napping during this show it was absolutely i was just amazing and the way that they do it and they're like paddington it's just it's so good question actually i know this sounds this probably sounds a bit thick but how do they do paddington is it a person in paddington or is it all animatronic it's not no it's a little person like i don't know the the pc word but it's a small person yeah yeah um and it's just incredible so it's a little person in the suit that i mean that poor guy must be fucking boiling in there right but he's it's just amazing and then there's the voice of paddington so he's not the guy in the suit is just controls it in the talking yeah that's someone else is doing the voice and they're just so in sync i mean it's just in honestly it's you've got to go and see it and there's like the the the fireworks and all the extra guff around it the set's amazing it's just it was honestly i'm still on a high from seeing that show like a few weeks later it was just the best thing like for adults for kids the kids were just so like captured by it the adults so it was just oh it's so good i can't recommend it enough and it really is oh it's so worth the money it's so one to see um it was really really brilliant and so yeah it's just it just you know and i'm a bit of a like blur with London at the minute and and it just made me fall in love with London again that little weekend and it's just like why it's just so like good it really is the home of like the best theatre in the world West End theatre is you can't beat it honestly and so you can't do go and see it if you can because you will not be disappointed I have a slight issue actually with it is that my mother-in-law um for the kids Christmas present is taking them to see Paddington because she couldn't get tickets for Christmas.

32:35Anna Williamson:Oh my God, you've missed out big time. Well, now I'm really pissed off. Well, I wanted to take, I wanted to go, but I was like, of course, if that's what she wants to get for their Christmas present. But she's taking them in June. She could have got it for you too. Fuck. Cheapskate. Well, yeah, she could have done actually. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, cheapskate. Yeah, mother-in-law. Honestly, you should go. She's actually got my kids at the moment. I need to be quiet. It's so good. Anyway, like, yeah. Love it. You've just got to go. Three, I would say, very wholesome. Reckos Eccos of the Week. Yes.

33:08Right, should we muff on into messages? Right, we've got a message from Anon. So, Cylindrical. Cylindrical. I don't get it.

33:20Anna Williamson:Cylindrical. Cylindrical. Cylindrical. Cylindrical. Like the word cylindrical. Cylindrical, yeah. Oh, I was looking for a dirty word. No, just making words. Just making words. Okay. She says, bonjour, Luanamo. So on the topic of wanting to teach your kids another language. Oh, yes, this is me. I need to learn French or Spanish. My friend will only let her kids watch their iPads and Netflix in French. Oh, yeah. Their dad is French. She's Canadian, so it's conversational but not fluent. And it's a great way for the kids to pick up and understand the language as they tend to converse mainly in English at home.

33:59She now feels absolutely no shame when they're racking up hours of screen time. as it's for the greater good. Voila.

34:06Anna Williamson:This is actually a really good tip. And Alex did this with the kids when, because you can switch, yeah, switch the setting onto a different. And so when we were kids, we used to have in Italian, oh, do you know Peter Rabbit? I used to get so, oh, I'm haunted. Peter conio. The Canadian rabbit, pita conio. Like this the whole time, Peter bloody rabbit. And Cinderella is cindarendola. but Alex used to make the kids watch Peppa Pig. And let me tell you now, just for the shits and giggles. Peppa Pig, that translated well. Peppa Pig, exactly. But when you watch Peppa Pig in Italian and you hear the dub, it's very, very amusing.

34:48Anna Williamson:Just for a laugh, go and watch one of those kids' favourite programmes in another language and it will crack you up. But bloody Pitagonia, scarred. It is a good tip. Although, if anything, like my kids and a lot of kids will then rebel against it and go, it's too difficult. They don't like it. they'll switch it back to English when they get the chance. It's impressive that her kids are stuck to her. Yeah, it's brilliant. Brilliant. Thank you for that. A bit of a reco, actually. Message for Anonymous say, Bertha. Dear Luanna, please keep me non and trigger warning for traumatic births. Ah, good for this.

35:19Anna Williamson:Because actually, I was going to quickly mention this. I'm doing quite a bit of active campaigning in Parliament, actually, around birth trauma. I was in a parliamentary debate a few weeks ago. Got a little bit impassioned. I actually cried in parliament and I swore then I felt really bad that I swore in parliament but then as the MP said to me she went if you can't say piss in parliament where can you there um so birth trauma she went I hope it's okay to ask um and I was wondering if Anna would be happy to share how she was able to move forwards from her traumatic birth and go on to have L of course I will happily share I gave birth 16 weeks ago to my amazing baby girl I had a low risk pregnancy but I suffered with horrendous antenatal anxiety, constantly worried that something awful was going to happen to the baby.

36:04Anna Williamson:I did have talking therapies for this but this has now gone out the window. I felt like I never enjoyed being pregnant at all and being a small person physically it was a struggle too. It sounds very similar to me actually. I went into spontaneous labor but once the contraction started it was horrific. It turns out the baby was back to back and the water birth I had dreamt of quickly went out of the window. I went rapidly from three centimeters to eight centimeters i went through all the levels of pain relief and ended up with an epidural however this took over an hour to be done with me screaming make it stop the whole time to my poor helpless husband luckily the epidural worked very well once it was finally in yeah i ended up doing that but after two hours of pushing they discovered the baby's neck was not in the ideal position and she was now on her side making it pretty much impossible for me to get her out this is literally what happened then so his head went his head went into a different space baby was born and she was all okay even with a few lines on her face however I was not I didn't realize but I was rapidly losing blood I suddenly felt sick shortly after the baby was born she was quickly taken off me with my husband and her put into the corner of the room he has seen sights he should never have seen and then I became aware that something was wrong I was literally dying lying there thinking I was dying that's so scary I wanted to ask the midwife if I was but I just couldn't speak the words my husband also told me that suddenly lots of people came to the room and I wasn't aware of it.

37:25Anna Williamson:Essentially, I lost two liters of blood and I spent nearly a week in hospital needing two blood transfusions. I was so weak, I never even changed my baby's nappy in hospital. I also had a horrendous feeding experience with the baby screaming each time I tried to latch her. I also went through a period of thinking I'd actually died and my mind was just playing tricks on me. Oh, darling. Yeah, that's an intrusive thought. It's trauma making me think I was alive even though I wasn't. I feel like so much has been stolen from me. I didn't get the birth I wanted, only five minutes of skin to skin, a baby who wouldn't latch and was too weak to even care for my baby.

37:57Anna Williamson:I just wanted to shut my eyes and go back to my old life. Well done, this is such a hard relate with my Enzo birth. I have been left with a prolapse, which is affecting my whole life. I can't hold my baby for too long. I can't go for long dog walks, walks with my dog, and I can't go back to netball or essentially do any proper exercise. My parents are paying for a private, private just for consultation to see what can be done about it. But I'll have to go back to the NHS for any treatment I'm only 30 and I simply can't live like this this is part of what we're trying to fight for reform actually as in reforming the maternity provision I'm sorry that this was long that's okay babe but the idea of having another baby is terrifying and my husband is pretty anti it as he is so scared what if I'm not so lucky the next time how can I put myself at risk of my husband and current child losing me and I know you had a horrific time and how did you get to a point that you could do it again is it just having my baby is having my baby girl enough thank you listening to your pod has given me much needed relief that i've needed and i'm generally in a better headspace but i'm just waiting for a referral to a psychologist any advice would be so welcome oh darling this is isn't it awful i this is such a hard relate darling pretty much everything that you've experienced kind of a big you know tick unfortunately but what i would say is that time does heal but also having the right support and i think in this is actually what we were talking about when I did this part so I'm doing it with Louise Thompson who you'll know had um an awful birth and Theo Clark MP and some of you will remember that Theo Clark was the MP that started crying in parliament about her horrendous birth and we are all campaigning in fact it's a big parliamentary debate happening next week which I'm attending as well we've basically got a big petition that's been signed with over 150 ,000 signatures to force them now to have to do something um and essentially it's this it's not just leave just because birth is so common I think it gets trivialized and it's like you know there you go birth move on birth move on now I would like to say a lot of people do have good births but a lot of people don't and what you have experienced is obviously birth trauma I would recommend you first of all go to birth trauma association in which I'm an ambassador and that's a really helpful support group you can find them online on instagram birth trauma association or panda foundation which is also another really helpful support group for you and when it can and I think also um so every single uh borough does have a perinatal maternity um psych psych system basically so if you go to your gp and ask for them to refer you you can do that and you can refer as well so perinatal maternity um psychological support is what I had and that can also then help get you in the system with psychologists and possibly some trauma therapy as well and moving on to having another baby quite honestly darling it was time and it was doing things very differently and as Lou will know her baby is really young it's like 16 weeks old I wouldn't even be thinking about having another baby at the minute like honestly your baby's four months old right I couldn't even have sex for until like six to eight months and actually I my clitoris like this sounds a bit like too much information but my vag and my clitoris was so damaged from the forceps that's another thing we're campaigning to do we believe that i believe that forceps should be banned it's just they are in pretty much every other country it's it's it's so victorian they were so damaging they damaged the baby they damaged enzo they damaged me and it took me 18 months to be able to have an orgasm again and actually feel my private parts and to feel like a woman that's kind of was my experience um and essentially it took until i um enzo was about two two and a half and i'd also said the same thing there's no fucking way I'm having another baby I'm just about coping you know back together again mentally and physically but actually he want it was him he asked he started wanting a little sister or little brother and then I'd said to Alex if we even go down this route I need to do this completely differently so I actually had a perinatal psychiatry appointment which you can do as part of this system that I said this NHS system to actually look at conception and I wanted to do pregnancy and birth three differently and I knew I was going to have a planned section before I even got pregnant and as you all know I did have a planned c-section it is your human right to have a planned c-section if you want one those are the nice guidelines you might get some kickback uh but I don't think you will especially if you've gone through birth trauma and for me I don't think you do now well have kickback yeah because I you know nanny lauren who used to work for me and she was just I mean she couldn't even have a blood test without fainting and I said to her there's no way you're gonna be able to give birth and I said to just ask well you said it as well didn't you she was here and we were like just tell them yeah that's what you want and you want a planned section and you know what it's more expensive for the NHS to do a section I get that but only it's only more expensive when things go perfectly with birth and often it doesn't go perfectly with birth so often not like on I've had three natural births I am very pro like natural birth I love giving birth you know I absolutely would give birth 10 times over I found it the most empowering amazing experience and however I am also like super pro sections and I think if I had another baby which I'm never doing by the way I would actually have a section next time because despite my love of giving birth and you know I have very easy easy births they basically fall out I was so physically damaged afterwards like with having to then well just I had to go and be basically all the bladder stuff with all my bladder I had a uterine prolapse a bladder prolapse I literally would just piss myself all the time and not just a few drips like it was life altering the amount you know and I used to laugh it off and stuff but it did really affect me and then you know I ended up having that massive op in LA because they banned the op that I wanted in England which then I then got like the worst side effect and you know it's just dreadful like everything stems back to that natural birth and i know that our bodies are designed to give birth and blah blah blah we should be able to do it well our bodies are also designed to breastfeed and you know fucking half the people can't do that either sometimes we just can't fucking do it and i honestly think that actually from speaking to mums and i have no medical you know experience but i know doctors and midwives that that will go for planned c sections and i think that says a huge that that speaks volumes right yeah and and you know when midwives are opting for planned c-sections that's a big big red flag to me for giving birth naturally and i just feel like you should have that option and the worst thing then is when you go for a natural birth and it ends up in an emergency c-section because that's like so traumatic all involved and I just feel like just take the fucking planned section go and have a blow dry get your nails done get it out the sunroof and be fucking happy about it like honestly and I loved giving birth like I would say my first birth was almost like euphorically orgasmic it was so good you know like it's not that I've had traumatic birth experiences I just feel like it's kind of a safer thing to do and obviously it comes with its risks having a c-section of course and I don't know the statistics of whether and how statistically a natural outweighs a c-section I'd be interested to see to see that but I'm pretty sure it's safe for having a section I mean that's totally just my gut feeling and we will verify that very shortly I mean I can now see mo typing on google yeah I mean but I can I can I can give you an anecdotal you know from my personal experience of both you know I had the vaginal birth with forceps damaged like awful and I say I've had the same you know I've I have um incontinence as well also just to say to this lovely lady to go to like something like mummy MOT that is a private service but a woman's physio is really really important I had that um and again this is all part of what you know I think it should be given to all women France do it you get um the minute you've had a baby you get given all of this physio support to kind of put yourself back together but for me with um getting my head space into having another baby being perfectly honest with you it had for me it had to be beautifully underwhelming as awful as that sounds or weird as that sounds I needed everything just to be really medicalized really controlled and for me having the plan section gave me that privilege and I went privately to have my plan section now to be fair the NHS absolutely were on board they said I could do it I had a great NHS consultant the challenge that I had is that L was due on Christmas Day and that is one of the two days in the year that they do not perform elective cesareans on the NHS they probably don't in private either and as a result of that my anxiety was raging even more because they were saying well we don't know when we will give you that plan section because it might be before it might be after and for me I was getting more and more stressed about that and I wanted to have that level of control and what the private option gave me was the option to I think I was 16 weeks pregnant and I think and I knew that I was having L on the 20 assuming everything went well with the pregnancy which it did thank god on the 21st of December at 9 30 a.m I was going to be having my baby privately um and guess what that's exactly what I got and it meant I could relax for the rest of the pregnancy the care was amazing I mean Lou you gave birth as well at the Portland what I would say is that there are different levels of care.

47:31Anna Williamson:I think people assume if you have a private birth, it's all like, you know, it's like the TV show that we saw that five star babies. Now it can be, of course, you know, when you're paying for anything in life, you know, you can pay for as much or as little as you want. But for me, I would say, I think it costs like 12 grand or something to have the baby privately, which is a lot of money, I know. But for me, it was definitely worth foregoing a couple of holidays in a new car in order to bring life into this world. And for me not to have a massive mental breakdown, and I'd pay it hand over fist again and save up for that if we needed to.

48:02Anna Williamson:I know we're in a very privileged position to have done that, but it was three nights in the hospital. The continuity of care was brilliant. There was everything you could ever want. And it was a really brilliant, cathartic experience. And it actually healed me mentally from my traumatic first birth. So it's not for everybody, but for me, that's the route I took and it really worked for me. But best of luck. I would say birth trauma association, pandas, mummy MOT, and don't sit quietly like don't we shouldn't be normalizing how we feel after birth if we've had a shit time you had a really shit time babe so just rest up also while I'm on it I'd love people to sign our petition um which we've got in government because you can still do it's about appointing a maternity commissioner to improving maternity care for mums and babies um I'm going to put a link in my stories and I'll ask Becca if she can as well but essentially if you just go and look for that and if you could sign it we would be really grateful thank you and on my research about safety and stuff um basically it's all context related um c-sections can be way safer um in certain complicated pregnancies and then natural birth can be safer in very simple pregnancies but obviously you don't know what's going to happen ever so many variables aren't there yeah exactly i loved my section honestly i quite honestly i thought it was easy yeah good luck darling my friends that have had planned sections have absolutely loved them no i don't feel like anyone's ever regretted a planned section put it that way i i have i mean all i i it is it smarts a bit but christ it doesn't hurt half as much as some things in life it's fine yeah uh right we've got another message now from anonymous so ruby randerson uh it says good afternoon luanna i'd like to remain a non give me your best porn star name thank you for the oh crumble sorry did you shit yourself no it's crumble it's growling she says thank you for the pod i listened to it while doing my cleaning job job and it's made me laugh out loud some of my clients must think crumbles stop it i think he needs a toilet some of my friends must think i'm a nutter i was in don't we on the studio come here crumble you better not was on my chair dude he's gonna pee on your chair um says i was introduced to your pod by my sister-in-law and we attended two of your fabulous shows and we got proper pissed had a great night and day we met some lovely friends there that we've stayed friends with since oh that's so cute lovely so let's get to the story that i have to share with you after being in a relationship for 17 years three lovely kids my relationship came to an end because of gambling issues on his side and controlling behavior in the run-up to our breakup we stopped having sex we didn't have sex for three years in fact what put me off was after our last child he secretly filmed us while I had a big saggy belly for one and engorged blue boobs so definitely was a violation of my privacy after this event I shut off and we didn't have sex for three years that's so like so bad um and I knew it was the end of what I tried so hard for so we ended it he met some other woman that he can disrespect and control and I spent a year and a half being solo enjoying my kids having therapy and getting myself back to the person I was before I met him I had to do a lot of self-discovery therapy and even trying to make new friends which has been a struggle because he completely cut me off from everybody I lost a lot of weight and a lot of people said that I lost 10 years because I look great.

51:41Oh, good. I thought I better put myself out there a bit and show off this upgrade of myself. I started chatting to guys on Bumble, which really boosted my confidence. And in this past relationship, I wasn't allowed social media. But my cousin egged me on and got me to upload Instagram and get in touch with an old flame from before. So under my cousin's influence, I went ahead, downloaded Instagram, searched up this guy from the past and immediately we hit it off it was such a lovely relief to connect with someone so familiar and we did start dating it's actually been lovely he spoils me we've been to paris and i've finally been treated like a princess but down to the nitty-gritty i still hadn't had sex in a total of four and a half years i was basically at this point a born again virgin So when that time came, I became like a rabid dog.

52:33I couldn't stop masturbating. I couldn't stop thinking about sex. I love this for you. This guy started to get sick of me because I'm expecting guys to behave like they were in their 20s. And this guy's late 30s. His stamina wasn't keeping up with me. I felt like a teenage pubescent boy. I could not stop thinking about sex all day and all night. so the first incident was me and this new guy we had a lot of dry white wine this night and my mouth was like sandpaper and me pissed thinking I was a deep throat queen gave him a blowjob for

53:09Anna Williamson:so long I gave myself a locked jaw it just snotted we've all done it we've all done it the next day I had to go to the GP I couldn't open my mouth I couldn't eat and I couldn't drink I couldn't move my face. I inflamed the cartilage of my jaw by trying to suck the poor life out of this guy. I was prescribed anti-inflammatories and had to rest and it got better only within a couple of weeks. But this is not the worst story. You think I would have learnt my lesson? Me and my blowjob antics became a stomach turning issue. So as I'm quite deep into this relationship, my old flame has decided to start staying over some evenings.

53:53I've introduced him to the kids and he's been lovely but last summer I went ahead again with the jaw action because I just love sucking this guy's willy as I was going at it risking another pain in the jaw one of his kids knocked on the door as he was cumming in my mouth so I've grabbed a bottle of water and spat the cum into the water a nice tidy spit, placed the lid black on Wiped my mouth, thinking I'm in the clear. Tended to the little one. Oh, no. Stop this. We all went to bed that night. And a bottle of water remained on the bedside. It's going to make me go. I need to make it clear that this was last August and it was a heatwave.

54:35This was not an ordinary night. This is like the furnace of hell on a summer evening. As I've gone to bed, made sure the window was open, the fan was on. We're laying on top of the bedsheets. Absolutely no duvet because it's sweltering. We're both in our undies. It's one of those ones where you wake up with cotton mouth in the middle of the night. One of those nasty heat waves that we had in the summer. I've woke up in the middle of the night, reached for the bottle of water, which I've drank, the pale ale, very warm, hot, curdle, Costco, cum water. I don't think I've ever tasted anything like it in my life.

55:11And because I was so thirsty, it was gone. There was no spitting it out this time. I was either. got to make myself sick or just swallow. And I just swallowed it, but I had a stomach-turned feeling for the rest of that day. She says, I can't describe the taste of warm, almost hot cum water. I'm investing in air conditioning this year. And two years in with my new partner, my sex drive has finally calmed right down. I hope you share my story. Still quite traumatising to this day. And I wonder if any other women on here have this midlife power sex drive happening. Sorry about my grammar. I'm using voice predicting message on my WhatsApp.

55:55Love you all lots. From London.

56:03Anna Williamson:Tapping out. I love that Randy story. I do not love the cum water. I also have just wretched so hard, I've just wet myself.

56:35Anna Williamson:07521564640 Best thing that's ever happened to you financially. Go. Easy. Sold my car on Carvana. Amazing offer. Really? I hit 200 on a scratcher. Did the scratcher come to your house and hand you a check? No. How many scratchers did you hit to get that? I hit a button on Carvana.com once. Okay, that's fair. It's like the lottery, except you always win. Not like the lottery at all, actually. Exactly. Inexplicably good. Offers worth bragging about. Sell your car today on Carvana. Pickup fees may apply. Right, let's move on to some news stories now. Wireless Festival has cancelled over the Kanye West controversy.

57:24So basically, what's gone on is the government haven't allowed Kanye West into the country, essentially. Can you believe it? Can you believe it? Kanye believe it. Kanye believe it. He was headlining wireless, I think it's like three days. Yeah, every night for three days, yeah. Every night. And he's not been allowed into the country. I think it's got down to the wire of wireless. And therefore they've pulled, they've just pulled the whole thing. I think they had a lot of sponsors pull out because of it as well. They did. And basically in October 2022, now Kanye has had his mental health issues, hasn't he?

58:04which he has unfortunately has very public breakdowns about this like all over like Twitter

58:10Anna Williamson:or whatever x yeah still was it bipolar did he he I think it was bipolar don't quote me on that or maybe do quote me on that yeah uh yeah bipolar so we do respect that that has happened to him but yeah sorry go on Lou but how much I don't know I haven't got bipolar right maybe I have But, like, just because you've got bipolar doesn't mean it makes an excuse for saying shitty things. Do you know what I mean? Let's talk about what he... So, the huge thing about him, anti-Semitism. You can't say, like, racist and anti-Semitic and, like, what? And then be like, oh, sorry, I've got bipolar. Like, I don't know how that works.

58:48Does bipolar make you believe, like, these things? So, he basically posted in 2022, death con three on Jewish people. Oh, I don't understand that. He was going to go Defcon 3. He was very anti-Semitic. What is Defcon 3?

59:04Anna Williamson:Like, destroy. You know, going to go destroying on Jewish people. I think he got a few bank accounts shut and claimed Jewish people are responsible for shutting his bank accounts and taking his children away from him. Anyway, basically, he sold T-shirts featuring a swastika on his website. The item was labelled HH-01. which was wildly interpreted as a reference to the big phrase Hitler. Yeah, exactly. Which, you know, the sensation, like basically promoting like Nazism, like being anti-Semitic. And then he in May 2025. I think he even said, I am a Nazi. Did he? I think he did. Back then he even said, I am a Nazi.

59:50He was praising Hitler, wasn't he? He released a song titled HH.

59:55Anna Williamson:um saying that he believed hitler had done some good things i think it was something around that as well ironically hitler would have killed him for being black so i don't know why it's so supportive of hitler because he would have been fucking dead yeah i mean it's just the ridiculousness of the whole thing yeah but he kind of blamed his um he said that it was he he's now issued an apology which was in january of this year he said i'm not a nazi or an anti-semi and i love jewish people so it's gone like complete like done a turnaround he said that what he said in his actions were due to his bipolar disorder which stemmed from a medical oversight after a frontal lobe injury which he sustained in 2020 2002 uh when he had a car crash and this frontal lobe injury had gone undiagnosed and this condition he said caused him to lose touch with reality which led him on to latching onto the most destructive symbol he could find, which was the swastika.

1:00:56And then in early 2025, he had a four-month manic episode involving psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior that he said destroyed his life. So, do you know what? I just don't like people using mental health as an excuse for shitty behavior. And I often find that in life now, like people use especially famous people use mental health as a scapegoat for just being a shitty person and making shitty mistakes and instead of just being like do you know what i'm i'm sorry if you want to forgive me i'd like the forgiveness but i totally understand if you don't forgive me they chuck in the old mental health card and it's just like seen as a get out clause and that fucks me off and that's why sometimes my tolerance is very low around mental health because I really believe that it's you know I have people with really severe mental health problems very close to me and my family and it's really it's really soul destroying and it's really destructive and so I can totally like relate to what he's saying with the manic episode and and latching on to things I can absolutely relate to that and we don't know that that's not true

1:02:14Anna Williamson:I'm not saying that's untrue. Yeah, that could well be true. But I think to your point, when it's matched on as an excuse, it feels like, doesn't it? Yeah. And it's just like, I don't know where that sits with me. Anyway, basically, old Keir Starmer hasn't forgiven him. He's been banned from the UK for his anti-Semitic views. They've denied him his visa. And therefore, that has led to Wireless 2026 being cancelled. And so what do we feel about this? is it the right decision to not let him in the country yeah I do and I but I think I think what's really interesting actually is that I think it's nuts in the first place that he was booked to do this festival so soon after making you know all of these comments there's a lot it's very very offensive to to to certain communities obviously Jewish community in particular um and I think for wireless actually to have booked him particularly and I'm going to take it in good faith that he did have a mental breakdown and what he has said did happen to him I would then argue not even argue and this is not me fooling any support behind Kanye but I am I think that to book somebody that let's take it a good faith did have a big mental breakdown that has caused absolute global outrage and offense so to then book him when any of that sort of reparation on apology and for there to be possibly potentially there might at some point be some sort of balance and it it does get better maybe when that time came because i know that they they're saying that he had reached out to the jewish community but they didn't respond the jewish community have said well no one reached out to us and we would exactly but i think to book somebody to head wireless festival under these circumstances is actually negligent on behalf of the booker and I feel like they were opportunist in taking it sold out it bloody sold out knowing that because it is such a hot contention of a booking it was almost like whatever his mental issues whatever we don't really care we're more we're more concerned about getting bums on seats and we will take that risk and I think when big corporations do latch on to those opportune opportunities then it is something that they should be held accountable for we've also seen it recently with astronomer you know the woman's is slightly different but you know the the cold play couple that were caught on the jumbotron yeah recently astronomer the company that they were ceos of has in i don't know if you've seen this has taken on gwyneth paltrow to do a real tongue-in-cheek advert for astronomer now obviously gwyneth paltrow is the ex of chris martin Coldplay so there's a link there and that Kristen Cabot has been on Oprah recently that's the woman who was involved the lady who was you know the kisser yeah she is really pissed at Gwyneth Paltrow for doing that and saying that just feels like not in the sisterhood and well she just I think she feels it's again taking an opportunity Well did she feel it was in the sisterhood when she was necking on with someone's husband?

1:05:22Fuck me I know that I'm a hypocrite but Jesus Christ

1:05:27Anna Williamson:she's she's got the cheek to talk about sisterhood but well she didn't say sisterhood but and i don't know the full no but but she's given the full interview on oprah and actually they'd already been split up there was already there was a lot more to that story than ever fully came out so but my point being but but that's a whole new story but my point being with with that that is a company astronomer have gone brilliant let's take an opportunity here and screw anybody else that's affected with it will do it for for monetary gain or whatever so I think going back to wireless I think they've done the same thing with Kanye it's a figure of real contention right now not thinking about um communities who've been offended by him and just going with it and I think it's a good thing that the that that Kanye has been taken off off uh off the roster personally I think it's good that we've that we've cancelled his visa and denied him also because do you know what if he wasn't Kanye West and if he was like um effectively he's he's not a UK citizen or resident or like doesn't have like any right to be here other than the fact that we would welcome him in if it was anyone else that didn't have money do you know what we'd be saying get that that get that head case out here we don't want someone like that that isn't British walking our streets that's got these views I think it's the right thing to do I'm the first person to say stop letting these people walk amongst us and attack our people.

1:06:50Like, you know, it's wrong. And so therefore, I think it's absolutely right he should be denied. And you see Australia doing this. You see America doing this. Well, they banned Kanye, didn't they? Yeah, and if you've got a criminal record, like if you or I had a criminal record, we couldn't go to America. It's absolutely right. You know, and I actually think it's fucking good that the UK grabbing the bull by the horns and doing something for once and actually pushing back and being like, no, we are not accepting this mental health card. Like, we don't agree with what you've said. Those views are not welcome in our country.

1:07:21We don't give a shit who you are or how much money you're bringing in or this festival. You can go fuck yourself. So, actually, I think, do you know what? Keir Starmer's going up in my estimations recently.

1:07:33Anna Williamson:Good lord. No, actually, there's a few things. I know, there's a few things. He actually is going up. You know, credit where credit's due, right? Always. Keir Starmer has put his foot down with this. the whole Iran, America, Israel war in the Middle East. He refused to send our troops. He did help in other ways. But I kind of think like, do you know what? He isn't bowing to this pressure. And actually that does say, you know, we keep going on about, oh, Kian Starmer's weak and all this. Actually, he's showing us recently that, yes, he is. Yes, Crumble is agreeing. But he actually, do you know what?

1:08:06Is quietly composed and maybe does have a pair of balls. he's playing his cards quite correctly recently sorry about that crumbles clearly a

1:08:17Anna Williamson:Keir Starmer fan um but what do you think Lufanian so yeah what we know Kanye West um or yay as he's called uh wireless did you have tickets for wireless are you pissed that you've had them refunded do you think it's the right thing to do why did you buy tickets I guess you know I think that's really interesting as well I mean Imz do you have any parting comments on this i know that a lot of people think are against him being banned and stuff because of the whole free speech thing and i think that's an interesting argument because i'm like yes i think that free speech should be a thing but when it's hate speech but when it turns into inciting hate then that is another thing entirely and i think it was the right thing to do i think under the circumstances yes I think it's a shame that wireless has had to be completely cancelled but I also think it's on them because I think it was the wrong choice of headliner just as a question why would they not have just got a different headliner is it too soon I think it would have been too soon it's in July oh too soon I think he would have been booked for a long time it takes a long time to book these sorts of acts especially one big enough to headline three nights sure I think it would have just been a and also and also a clerical nightmare refunding all of those tickets and then putting them all back on sale again yeah and i'm not sure how much money they would have had after all these sponsors pulling out i don't know how much they they probably would have committed a giant whack to kanye i don't know what happens with that money um yeah well there you go so let us know well yeah mind you it's his own fault that his visa's cancelled well exactly um second new story a nice little bit of good news artemis 2 um lady on the moon, first black person on the moon.

1:09:59Anna Williamson:This is a triumph all round. So this was the first moon landing since 1970. They didn't land on the moon bay. They just flew round it. Moonfly, wasn't it? I'm sorry. I don't think this is that good. What's the fucking point in this? Do you like it? They've just flown into outer space, flown round the fucking moon. What for? What is the point in that? They just went to the other side of the moon that the people hadn't been to before. I think that's quite impressive. It looks the same as the other side. I saw a picture. It looks like the fucking moon that's in the children's book. I don't really care for this.

1:10:38Anna Williamson:I can't even get to Surrey properly. I'm quite impressed they've got to the moon and back, babes. I think this is really good. But fair, but fair. Well, they did. The journey lasted 10 days. They're still on it. Are they still on it? They're currently on their way back. They're on their way back. Yes. They literally just flew off, did a figure of eight around the fucking moon and are flying home again. And how much did it cost? It's ridiculous. I just don't see the appeal to this at all. It doesn't excite me. I just think it's stupid. You're not into space, into spaceships and stuff. Well, what is interesting.

1:11:14Anna Williamson:So this is the first crewed flight of this spacecraft. And the Artemis is the sister to Apollo, isn't it? Or it's like the twin. it's the first time that humans have travelled beyond the Earth's orbit since 1972. I think that's pretty impressive. Do you believe that they did it in 1972? Do you not? I don't know. Oh, that's a little conspiracy theory I wasn't aware of. 1972, right. She's got a long time. It's a long fucking time ago. It's a long time ago. Why has nobody done it since then? Well, I did think that, if I'm honest with you. but no what is good about this Lou this is good so there have been some new milestones that have been set so it's the first woman that's gone into space Christina Koch well not into space but on this mission um the first person of color like I say Victor Glover who's the pilot uh the first non-American to travel this far into space um and yeah and I also think what is so lovely is that um there's quite a nice viral video of um one of the craters that they have discovered i don't think something tells me lou you're not going to be impressed about a crater being discovered but we'll go with it not really i mean i'm sorry who gives a shit about a fucking crater on a moon like it's ridiculous and they're saying that nasa is using this to prepare for future missions that aim very poignant word there that aim to land astronauts on the moon again which is currently planned for 2028.

1:12:44I just don't believe that they landed on the moon in 1972. I just don't. I'm sorry because now they're aiming to land people on the moon in 2028. It's been a long-ass time, to be fair, babes. It's just a little bit suspect, okay?

1:13:03Anna Williamson:I just, you know. Lou's not believing this one. I'm here for the conspiracy theory. But what I do love, nice little good news story. you know me uh one of the craters and there's a little emotional vid going around uh it was dedicated to the wife uh of artemis 2 commander reed wilson i mean reed wiseman uh carol wiseman um she passed away of cancer um and in a little emotional little speech he said i'd like to dedicate that crater to to my wife so i mean i guess there's something nice about being named after a star i'm not sure how i feel about being named after a crater well she's dead so i suppose naming a crater after a dead person is quite fitting i mean so compassionate i spoke to ney about this and i was like i don't know how i'd feel about like my other half seeing a gigantic hole on the moon and being like oh that reminds me of my wife but then it's like but then she was like oh but he can see it that him and his children can see the crater in the moon from earth and he's left a giant crater in his heart and he's going to moon them back for her and i was like oh that's very cute actually yeah well it's lovely for him and good for him and i think that's very sweet but i think we've discussed that lou lou's just not here for the space shit space shit we'll move on it's just it's just yeah she's not here for it not into it i'm not fair i i understand that many people are into it and I respect that bullshit.

1:14:33People love space. They love this. Why?

1:14:36Anna Williamson:I don't know. I'm not that crazy about it if I'm honest with you but I'm cool with it. You know it's cool. You nasty. Fuck it. Need to sort the problems out on earth before we start venturing into it and fucking up other places. Enough shit to deal with here. Yeah fuck space let's work on earth first. I mean hello look at the shit show that's going on in the world. We have such like Like vast, like, you know, you think of like the third world countries to the first world countries. If we just spent our time and money, like, you know, focusing on Earth and making Earth a better place before we start, they're just going to go fucking fly to the moon and fuck it up, I'm telling you.

1:15:14That's all humans do. That's all they do.

1:15:17Anna Williamson:They do. They meddle and they piss it about. They're just going to go to the moon, fucking create some bullshit up there. What has the moon done to you? Exactly. Okay. Leave the moon alone. Focus your time, energy and resources on solving world peace. That has to be the name of this podcast episode, Leave the Moon Alone. Queen Carvania stood haloed by the morning sun. An army hung on her every word. My champions, I have sold my chariot on Carvana. Twas a lovely SUV, an inexplicably queenly offer. They're even coming to the castle to collect it. Tonight, we feast. An offer you can feast on. Sell your car today on Carvana.

1:16:12Anna Williamson:Pick up fees, man. Bye. It's the Widow of the Week. All right, first, Anonymous Sophie. Sophie. Hi, Luanna Moe and Becks. Love the pod from down under. I just want to put myself in for weird of the week. I genuinely need to know if I've lost the plot or if this is just what having a new puppy does to you. Oh, well, Lou can relate to this. She says, I'm fully in the trenches. My one-year-old puppy has started doing this new annoying habit. When I let him outside, he does a wee, then stands at the door when he wants to come back in. But the second I open the door, he doesn't want to come in. This happens every single time.

1:16:44Anna Williamson:Oh, you've been played by your dog, babe. I've tried treats to get him back in. He probably wants her to go out and play with him outside. Oh, well, she said, I've tried treats to get him back in, which worked for a bit, but now he's clearly onto me and just ignores them. It's honestly started to drive me nuts. So the other day, after desperation, I did something a bit rogue. I, oh, boy. Why does it always come down to the lowest common denominator? I scratched my arsehole and I got that busy day smell on my fingers. We all know it beeps. And I waved it near his nose to lure him back inside. And girls, it worked instantly.

1:17:25Anna Williamson:Now, it's the only thing that works. I never let him lick anything. It's literally just a quick waft to get him through the door. And then I wash my hands straight away. Thou doth protest too much, my dear. But I cannot believe this is what my life has come to. I don't do this in front of anyone, just when I'm on my own. I love the pod, a very unhinged new dog mum. So she has to do a scratch and sniff of her butthole to get the dog to come back in. I mean, that's surely got to be this month's top runner at the moment. That is, yeah. Have you scratched your ass to bring Crumble in yet? No. No, Crumble's pretty good.

1:18:01Anna Williamson:Imo, do you scratch your ass for Norm? I've not tried it, but I might do in the future. I might try it with Poppy in my parents' lab. She's absolutely feral. I bet she'd love it. Yeah, she's naughty, that lab, isn't she? She is really naughty, yeah. I'll try it. Do you know what? The irony, my dad's taken her training every week for the last two years. It's not effective. Needs to get a new trainer. Yeah. Right, we've got a non. So Henrietta says, hi, lovely ladies. Love the pod. Keep up the great work. You all have such fantastic personalities and infectious laughs. And I love it. Thank you. Right, let's get to it.

1:18:37Am I the weirdo? When I'm on my period, I will actively try and have sex with my partner because I think that it helps to end my period faster. Like it's been sucked out. I might go from a five-day period to a three-day period. I've always joked about inventing a Henry Hoover attachment that sucks out your period in a matter of minutes. But for now, my boyfriend's willies is going to have to do. Am I weird? Love, Henrietta, the female Henry Hoover. I can relate to this. Really? I can't.

1:19:10Anna Williamson:Actually, I just memory unlocked years ago. I don't bother having sex half the time anyway, let alone all my period. But when I was a little bit, you know, slutty college years and didn't mind as much. Yes, actually, I used to think that having sex did feel like my period stopped a bit quicker. Interesting. I don't know if it did or not, but I'm kind of sort of with Henrietta on this. Okay. Do you think that's weird or do we think, I mean, it's got to be scratch and sniff, surely? Scratch and sniff's a weirder, for sure. Yeah. Congratulations. You very unhinged new dog, mum. And your scratchy ass has won.

1:19:51Congratulations, your butthole's sticking. And you are the winner of Widow of the Week. Right, listen, normally I'd rant now, but I got it all off my chest at the top. So I'm not ranting. I want to wish you all a wonderful week. Let's hope the sun stays shining.
