In short
The hosts kick off with planning for Gladiators Live (outfits, press list, and their own fitness anxieties), then rant about car parking tickets and shared-driving point disputes. They also recommend TV/drinks/soap, read listener stories, and discuss two major news items: a cruise ship hantavirus outbreak and a Burning Man-style stunt where a man pulls a car using his penis. The episode culminates in a long advice segment responding to an anonymous account of severe workplace sexual harassment and misogyny.
Guests (who appear on the episode)
No named external guests. The “whole gang” of hosts is present: Luanna/Luana, Louisa, Anna, Imogen (Imo), and Bex. They also reference “Mairek Oseki” (author/creator figure for The Testaments) and “Rachel” (their contact for the Gladiators press list), but neither is interviewed.
Key claims
Hantavirus can be fatal; no cure/vaccine; cruise passengers may face strict screening. The workplace letter describes institutional misogyny and career punishment for whistleblowing. The car-pulling stunt is claimed as a prostate-cancer awareness effort.
Notable examples
Dad’s hospital parking fine dispute; an M1 camera points argument resolved by route timing; a Lanzarote story involving a man wiping with a toilet brush; the “doggy style 69” password mishap on a 60-inch screen.

0:05Anna Williamson:Be warned, it's Luana and this podcast contains honest, upfront opinions, rants, bants and general explicit content, but you know you love it. Running, she's faster. Strength, she's stronger. Everything, she's better. This is probably one of the most shocking and horrible stories I think we've ever received. You will see Luana sometime soon pulling a car along with our labias. Why should I pay the fine for your mistake? I sort of weirdly love that. I love that. You know that when you go somewhere and they've got a bar of soap and there's like a pube in it? Oh, she's getting naked on camera. Whoa, that's a corker.
0:54Anna Williamson:Hello. Good morning, good morning. How are you, everybody? Welcome to a fresh new week. It is Luanna, the podcast with Louisa, Anna, Imogen, Bex, the whole gang are here. And we, obviously Le Crumble, we are in uniform today, guys. If you're watching on YouTube, first of all, make sure you're following. Yeah, it is time. Please make sure you're following us on your favourite podcast platform and you are subscribing on YouTube. If you are watching on YouTube, you will see that we are wearing the most delightful matching outfit. And why is this, Lou? Because you've got a little bee in your bonnet.
1:31Anna Williamson:I did. You know, I hyperfixate on things. She does. And I've always wanted to be a gladiator. She does.
1:46Anna Williamson:So let's just rewind back and take us back to that moment of hyperfixation that often happens. So Gladiators is doing a live experience. Yes. We have been very kindly invited down. To the O2 to see the live event, which was amazing. I didn't actually go. It was Sam. Oh, I thought you were. I was very kindly invited. Oh, and it was so good. And it was just nostalgic, brilliantness. And basically, they then revealed that they're doing a Gladiators Live experience, which is open to the public now. Yes. And we are going. In Birmingham. To Birmingham. We're getting out of the shire. We're getting out of the shire.
2:25We have been over socialising, Lou, of recent times. And I've got these really flattering outfits. I mean, mine is so tight, I think it would fit a five-year-old.
2:34Anna Williamson:Who is this lovely lady, Imo, that sent us these outfits? So basically, we're going to the gladiators later. We're going to do a Lou and an Anna head-to-head with actual real-life gladiators. Well, actually, gladiators off the telly, not the ones that I thought originally we might be going to from gladiators the movie. If you want to see that hilarity, you can go over to our YouTube and see what happened when I got the wrong end of the stick when it came to the outfit situation. Yeah, Lucy. Lucy. Lufany and Lucy got in touch. Hi, Lucy. And Lucy runs tesportswear.com. I like that t-shirt. And she makes the outfits for the gladiators and has done the kits for the gladiators experience as well.
3:19And she got in touch and she was like, I'll make you some kits, girls. so we're now fully kitted out we're recording this pod and then we are on motorware
3:29Anna Williamson:we've got driver Dave lined up taking it in the fun bus we've got all the gear no idea I've actually hurt my neck, I'm literally taped up this is the problem with Lou and her hyperfixation so the amazing brilliant idea in the moment and then when it actually comes to it it's like oh, Lou is now yeah basically incapacitated Well, it's getting a bit better. I've got doms from the gym. Anna will beat you. I won't. Anna always beats me and it's so fucking annoying. Who is the one in the gym at 6am every day? Me. What does Anna do once a week with Lilia where she just guffs and puts it on Instagram?
4:05Basically does nothing. Who always wins at being the fittest, the strongest? Me. Anna.
4:11Anna Williamson:Yeah. You see. Fucks me right off. Because it's the quiet, dark horses. You don't know what I do. maybe my one a week with Lillia is a smoke screen for what I actually do I think it might be because whenever we do any kind of fitness or sports thing I'm always like yeah I'm going to win she beats me at everything fucking running she's faster strength she's stronger everything she's better and now I've got a dicky neck well I've got the camel toe actually I'll be honest I'm not backing myself later and I really wanted to do the pugil sticks yeah I really want to do the pugil sticks I know but I don't know if I'll be able to do you know what I'm not looking forward to doing but I used to be a sprinter as I once confessed there's no way I'm going to be able to do that travelator well I'm not going to lie I've got a bit of a headache today a bit of a headache you can take a paracetamol well yeah but I want to do I've taken naproxen do you know what I do not want to do I do not want to do hang tough my upper body strength is crap yours is really good but my grip strength oh don't let me forget to pack my gloves back oh I've got my gloves in the car as well.
5:12Anna Williamson:I've got spare gloves if you need gloves. Yes, grip gloves, weight gloves. I'm not sure I can do very much because of my ankle. Oh, we're all kind of fucked. What is wrong with us? Well, you can hang. Your upper body strength's quite good. No, my upper body strength's terrible. You lift a lot. I know, but it's bad. My upper body strength is dreadful. I can be fast and mighty. We should stop putting ourselves down. We should. Do you know what we like? Have you seen Dodgeball, the movie? I love that. And then you've got Globo Gym, Ben Stiller's one. And we are, what's the average Joes? we're average Joes I've not seen that movie we're going to turn up today look you've got a dicky neck you've got a dicky ankle I'm just dicky I'm taped and this outfit is very tight do you think we're going to turn up today also guys there's lots of influence it's a press thing but there's lots of influence actually my friend Rachel is the head of press because she messaged me yesterday right message her now and ask her who's on the list I am so excited to watch you all rock up do you know what I'm going to she messaged me Today is the day to go and watch it on YouTube because they look amazing.
6:12Anna Williamson:They look ridiculous. Well, she's just, she messaged me up. She went, oh my God, are you coming to the Gladiators? Send her a picture of us now. I've just seen your name is on the list. Send her a picture. Hang on. Of us. Okay. Let's do a selfie. Hang on. Say we're ready. Can you tell us? Your love Rach as well. Right, ready? Right, I'll send her that. Let me do a voice note now. Hang on. And say, please let us know. Hi Rach, it's me. just literally doing a Luana record at the moment. We have got special outfits. Oh, she's messaging already. We're coming up to Gladiators later with Team Luana.
6:43Anna Williamson:She's just messaging. Obsessed. Right, who else is coming to the point? Rach, who's on the guest list? We'd like to know who else is on it. And also, can you please get us in first? Yes. Is there any chance? We need to leave first. Louise has got a social event to go to. Can't wait to see you later. Who's on the list, please? And will we look like absolute tits when we turn up like this? Right, okay, there we go. So I'm super excited. the travelators I've been trying to practice sprinting at an incline do you know what the video you sent the other day was brilliant I did honestly think for a minute you were taking the piss I nearly passed out I was just like what's with this flat foot my cardio fitness I'm not a very good runner you look flat footed I thought you were joking no that was my actual running no I wasn't taking the piss I was like why is she running like yes I'm done no I wasn't no that's my actual run that's my run listen we don't judge should I not run like that and we don't oh stop she's looking all sad I'm not very good at running no well I I'm not and now I'm going to pounding up that I did think it was quite noisy my run anyway we're off to Gladiators later my mate Rachel she'll message us back in a minute Rachel is she used to do all celebs go dating PR but she's now obviously working for Gladiators cannot wait for you guys to see this it's going to be YouTube's the shite out of we particularly Emma and I are sporting the most spectacular camel toes thanks to these outfits Zisman's saying she wants to change shorts we're not letting her she is listen we are a team this is how we operate but I think we might get laughed out of the Birmingham is it NEC?
8:12Anna Williamson:it is yeah it's a big venue if you want to go to the Gladiators Live Experience guys well we I don't know if we're going to be doing them any favours by promoting this but hopefully we will what else has been going on my loves what was the what? hang on oh yeah because you were going to tell us a story about your dad Oh my God. Can I just say, I've had to buy another car. Go on. Anna knows about this rant. Oh, she was really crossy the other day about this. And justifiably so. Right. So basically, we sold two of our cars when we moved to Dubai. So I had a Porsche 911, sold that. Andrew had a Rolls Royce, sold that.
8:50So now we only have two cars. We've got the big Mumbus Viano and my Defender. But we've also actually, that's like, got a little VW Fox, which is a brilliant car. I bought that years ago and I was single with Dixie. And then that's like the little runaround car. The fleet of cars has been reduced. Anyway, basically. And then obviously we're now back and Natalie and Nanny C are also back with us. So they don't have a car. So they have to share the VW. But Nat will live in here when she's working. But then she goes back to her dad's when she's not working. And she takes the only other runaround car with her.
9:27My mom and dad have one car. so my dad also uses that little VW Fox. But what's happened is Nat is obviously taking the car so Nanny C and my dad are then like driving our other cars which are only the mum Basiano or my Defender. So everybody so far who has been back has got a ticket in my car. Every single one of them. Nat's got a ticket, Nanny C's got a ticket, my dad's got a ticket. Like literally fuming.
9:55Anna Williamson:You're fuming when you get yourself a ticket let alone somebody else getting a ticket on your car, Reg. So the nannies are fine. They pay them. And they're like, so sorry, we'll pay it. But also it's where they get the tickets. Nanny C did park my pimped up Defender on Woodford High Street at 10.30pm at night. Not the best thing to do with all the cars that get nicked all the time. It's a very stealable car. So I was like, this just isn't going to work. Wasn't that sensible? I was like, this isn't going to work. You're good. There's no way anyone would be driving my nice pimped up Defender end of.
10:26So I am too generous.
10:28Anna Williamson:You are, actually. So anyway, I was like, right, I'll just buy another car to solve this problem. She just bought another car, guys. So I bought a little Fiat 500. It's so cute. I love it. It's called Blueberry. A little blue Fiat 500. I actually really like driving it. So anyway, I've got this. So now I've got two little runaround cars. And I've also got two new people starting to work for me who will live in. And they also need use of a car. Okay. So I will now have these two new people. Nat Nanny C Dad Five people between these two cars But Nat takes a car home So I still don't want anyone driving my cars Anyway Because they keep getting fucking tickets So the nannies it's fine They paid their tickets And then my dad gets a ticket Old Papa Zoe In my car At like the hospital or something I don't know Gone to check he's not dying After having all that drama He's a man after my own Blood pressure Blood pressure Oh he's on that blood pressure machine Every time I come round he's like do you want to check my blood pressure if Anna ever met her spirit animal actually your guru he's your hypochondriac guru is my dad I sort of worship him like some people sort of worship a figurehead you know he's like your hypochondriac figurehead so anyway basically he gets his tickets at the hospital and the ticket is for not parking within the lines so he goes to the hospital first of all he's like measures the bay measures the car.
11:56The car is within the lines. You can see on the picture the car's within the lines anyway. So they then come back and say, no, that's not what the ticket's for actually. It's for the fact it wasn't a parking bay. Oh. So they're now saying it's not a parking bay. Well, it looks like a fucking parking bay. So suffice to say,
12:09Anna Williamson:he is contesting the fine. He's contesting it. He went to the hospital for 90 minutes, interviewed other people there who had tickets, encouraging them to thingy the ticket. Like lodged complaints. Yeah, that's it. So spoke to all these people. Got an army. He has written to the MP about the parking at the hospital and the tickets that people seem to be getting. And what else did he do? Did something else? I mean, he... It was the MP. Well, at the end of it, I was like, Zoe, you need to get a job. He's basically gone to great lengths to appeal the parking fine. Where is he up to with it? So have they suspended the fine yet?
12:52Anna Williamson:Or are we not at that point yet? I don't know. We should ask him. We should ask him where he's up to with the fine. But basically, it now means that the fine... It's against you still. It's still in my name. Still against me. And it's increasing. I'm just like, just pay the fucking 80 quid for the ticket. But no. No, he's not. He's going the full hog. I mean, he's literally really, really going for it. It's pissing me off. this actually can be my run. It's a good run actually. Because other people other people black marking your credit history I could get a CCJ because of him. You could get a CCJ.
13:31And now I'm at the point like do I just pay the fine? Why should I pay the fine for your mistake? It's a good and it always comes down to I'm always paying for other people's fuck ups. Always. Have you said to him like just pay the bloody fine? It's a bit like the fucking bed that got painted upstairs. Who had to buy a new bed? Muggins. Two and a half grand for a new bed. New bed up there. Looks lovely. First time I've seen it. It's a pop down Dunelm, Babs. But, so now, new bed.
14:00Anna Williamson:Can't you just make your dad's credit card and pay the fine on his credit card? Get your mum to get his card because he'll forget about it next week. I don't even have the fine now. Should I ask him where he's at? I would ask where he's at with the fine because I would be absolutely fuming on that. Alex and I had this slight tete-a-tete. And this is how petty we are now. But it's important, guys. If you share a car, right, or share the driving, you know, because we're obviously insured in each other's cars. So if we do, you know, go up to Lakes or something, we'll share the driving. Well, it was in my car.
14:29Anna Williamson:We drove up last time. And then a M1 camera three points thing came through. That bloody M1 gets everybody around Milton Keynes that way. So it came through. And so I was like, and I was like, fuck, I just got rid of my last three points as well. Like I've done it all. Like it's now, I am now clean. and I am driving like a granny because I do not want any more of those bloody points coming on, right? So, and then he was being all missed. Well, I've never had points. I don't know. Anyway, it came through. So then we were arguing and I was like, I wasn't fucking driving that car when those three points and that camera's gone off.
15:02Anna Williamson:I was like, I know I wasn't because I even stick my, you know, speedometer so I don't go over it because I refuse to get caught again. Yeah, every time I've been caught, it's been like, I haven't been reckless. It's just like, you know. I got done doing 24 in a 20. Same. How hard is it to go 20 miles an hour? The car actually stalled. It's so annoying. That's when I got my last three points. I got done 22 in a 20. And that borough didn't have the still dibby for it. Should have asked for calibration. Well, this is it. So anyway, it then came to this actual argument with us both. Because I was like, I'm not taking three points because I know I wasn't driving.
15:34Anna Williamson:He emphatically said he wasn't. Well, we then had to go back through our route. And I realised that we'd swapped at a service station. and I was like, no. I got a detective on his arse and realised that he got the camera points literally within a mile of him taking over the thing. So he had to take the three points. He took the speed awareness course, whatever. But now whenever we go anywhere in the car, we actually clock where we are when the next person takes over the driving. Honestly, it's really important. It's so annoying. So annoying. Well, we need to find out about that. I've just texted him.
16:08Anna Williamson:And actually, Rachel's just messaged me back. Should I get a voice note? Hang on. Let's listen. of course as far as i'm concerned you are the vvvv vip's on that list oh i'm actually not controlling the event but i will 100 dominate and get you in there and get you in and out absolutely um who else is on the list i feel like basically i only saw you and that's all i was interested in there's lots of press lots of influences it's kind of a space i don't really know it's not really show busy it's much more like health and fitness oh no oh no i don't know that space i just not sure of his baby. But no, you're not going to like to hit it at all.
16:44Anna Williamson:I think this will be really fun. You'll be the stars of the show and it'll be great. We'll be the clowns of the fucking show. I'll just message her back. Health and fitness, people. Oh, Rach, thank you so much. We love you. We're so excited to see you. We're turning up with guts and bloody asthma pumps. The fact that health and fitness has now absolutely cracked us up. Also, honey, do you mind, I've just played that voice note out, actually. We're doing the pod recording. Do you mind if that goes out on our podcast? Would you rather me not let me know? Anyway, can't wait to see you later on for a big hug and a kiss.
17:13Anna Williamson:That's hilarious. I'm bringing my asthma pump. What do airport pints, sun lounge awards and McDonald's and our beef are all having common? We are talking about them on Shouldn't Laugh But with me, Laura Smith. And me, Carmen Butcher. This week, we're asking whether early morning airport drinks should be banned following Ryanair's boss getting the hump over pre-flight pints. We're also talking sun lounge awards after one tourist actually got a payout for missing out on a poolside bed. Plus, we'll get into the worst offence we've committed on a tube. We'll give you a hint. Stinks a fish. Expect strong opinions, holiday horror stories and probably a few things we shouldn't laugh at.
17:49But obviously, we will anyway. Listen and watch Shouldn't Laugh button, Global Player, YouTube
17:53Anna Williamson:or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for... It's the Wreck-A-Circo, the Wreck-A-Circo, it's the Wreck-A-Circo. Da-da-da! Right, shall I muff into this one? This one I am obsessed with. If it's a TV show, you will know that I have been, we have been Handmaid's Tale fans for a very long time. I've still not watched it though. You haven't watched the final series. Yeah, I need to. The good news for you is, with Mairek Oseki, you don't need to have watched that last series because Disney Plus is now, and it's so annoying because they're dropping one a week at the moment, they have got the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale, The Testaments, Disney Plus, and it is told through the lens of Agnes, who is June's daughter.
18:44Anna Williamson:It's told through her lens as she is like the next wave of wives. Stop, she's now a wife. Well, I'm not going to spoil it, but it's all through Aunt Lydia's Academy. So it's a little bit Centrinian's Harry Potter meets Handmaid's Tale, like meets them being kind of coached and indoctrinated into the new phase of being wives. So Aunt Lydia's back. How expensive is Disney Plus, by the way? It came out of my account. It was like£250. Really? No. Yeah. Are you buying? Yeah. I don't pay that much. Well, you probably do if you're doing it monthly. I'll just add up to that over the year. It's very expensive.
19:26Anna Williamson:I couldn't believe it. Quite dear, isn't it? It's quite dear, but I think it's worth it for me. So the Testaments, you don't have to have watched any of the hands made to actually to get into this and get into it and to actually enjoy it as a separate series. It helps because you sort of know some of the backstory. But yeah, Testaments Disney Plus, I'm absolutely obsessed. And every single Thursday they drop a new episode. Ten episodes, I'm up to six at the moment. Bada bing, bada boom. Nice. Luke? Okay. Yep. So I'm going to recommend my drink I made you. Right. Last week. Cacao, mushroom, I don't like mushrooms.
20:05but I like this and basically can't remember what brand it's by but we'll put it on our stories got it from Amazon but it's like this cacao mushroom blend is good for calming for beauty for your hair and your nails and I put a scoop in my little cup a shot of espresso then I've got my whiskey thing and I whisk that together and then I top it up with half warm milk quarter foamy milk and it is like a cacao mushroom latte. Like a little hot chocolate. Very good for you. And I have noticed an improvement in my beauty. Love that. What does it taste like? It tastes nice. It's like chocolatey.
20:50Anna Williamson:It's sort of like a chocolatey, like a mocha. Horlicks-y, with a slight earthy tone, but not offensive. Earthy with oat milk. You could have it with normal milk. I'll make you one later. It is nice. It's really nice. You'd like it, Bex. For a health drink, I'd say it's nice. Yeah, love that. And also, you could pop a bit of collagen in there. Yeah, you could. You want to do creatine. I'm getting very into supplements. Into suppies. Love that. Okay, so we've had a TV show. We've had a drink, Imogen. Right. Mine's a bit random, but I've been doing well for the last few weeks, so I'm allowed one squiffy week.
21:30Soap. Okay. Period. Right. Soap.
21:35Anna Williamson:Like a bar. Yeah, like a bar of soap. Like an imperial leather or a pair of soap. Yeah, or like a dove. Jo Malone. Or any sort of bar of soap. Right. Basically. We could make our own soap. We could. Oh, should we do soap making? Also, I want to do this tuft making. Does anyone want to do it with me? Tufting. Like a rug. Rug tufting in London. I really want to do it. I don't have a friend. You guys can do that. I want to hear about soap. two years ago now maybe I made the transition from using body wash and shower gel to a bar of soap in the shower don't your pubes get stuck in it? no you know that when you go somewhere and they've got a bar of soap and there's like a pube in it and it's really rank and that always happens I always think of pubes when a bar of soap it gives me the it and also blokes blokes always like use the soap bar around their actual leathers don't they?
22:27Anna Williamson:they don't stick it in their hands and then wash they're like the soap bar do you use the actual bar on your body or do you rub your hands on the bar and then use the soap on your hands on your body? A bit of both. Yeah. Do you put the bar up your vagina? No. Do you rub it on the clitoris? No. Do you enter soap in your vagine? She does. Do you douch it with no soapy? No, because that's very bad. You give birth to the soap. No, you shouldn't do that. That is bad for the age. You and Nate get the soap in your nun health. Do you just want to tell us about the soap? I just want to tell you about the soap.

23:01She'd really like to without us interrupting. It's been revolutionary for me. Revolutionary? Oh, wow. But do you have a favourite soap? I use just like a Dove bar of soap. I do like the smell of Dove. It's a really nice smell. Fresh. Comforting smell. And I've used soaps in the past. Well, there's such a shit chat. Anyway, once you've used it, it's a bit like squeaky soap. And you're like... Yes. Whereas not the Dove. The Dove feels very soft and smooth and delicious.
23:29Anna Williamson:Isn't it a quarter moisturiser in every bar? Yeah, very lovely. And I've really noticed a difference in the way I smell. Really? Like before, in my shower gel phase, I would notice my smell much quicker. Oh, hello. What, like BO? Yeah, I would just smell quicker. What deodorant do you use? I use Mitchum. I don't wear deodorant. No, you don't, do you? No. but anyway I actually in Dubai I do have to because I obviously sweat more there but I'm really allergic to a lot of deodorant I like the I use wild I like yeah a wild didn't work for me it didn't work it doesn't for some people yeah but anyway I would really recommend a bar of soap to wash yourself love that in the shower so we've gone for soap a drink and a telly show there you go that has been the Reco Seco it's been the Reco Seco right let's dive in with some messages we've got a message from Anon so Fernie Smell funny smell funny smell funny smell like it uh hi ladies thought you might appreciate a laugh earlier today i was delivering what i hoped would be a polished presentation to some elderly very wealthy potential clients i had my charts projections and market insights all lined up the presentation was a real bobby dazzler i went to log into the client portal to start the slideshow and not realizing where the cursor was on the login page i mistakenly typed my password in the user ID field for all to see.
24:56Clearly visible on the 60 inch screen was the unforgettable masterpiece doggy style 69 asterisk. I tried to power through the very uncomfortable and very silent next 45 minutes. Needless to say, they had no questions and did not request a follow up appointment. The 80 year old gentleman did stare at my ass the entire presentation so that's a win I'll take. Fuck my life. You girls are a real treat. Keep me sane. Love from Canada. XOXL.
25:24Anna Williamson:Good to say. Lovely story. Yeah, that's just bad. I just think some passwords are really embarrassing. Yeah. And you wouldn't want people to see them. You wouldn't. No. Yeah, you really wouldn't. Message from Anonymous, so carry on, love. It says, Luanimo Bex, love your podcast and all that jizzle. Please keep me anonymous. I could get sacked. Excellent. Brilliant. This is the kind of tea we want. After reading slash watching the recent recos of the new age of sexism and the manosphere, I thought this might be quite fitting I need your help I don't know how much longer I can keep dealing with this I work in a certain emergency service and have been in the job for many years I'm being deliberately vague and it has been blighted and it has been blighted by sexual harassment and misogyny from day one I love my job but I'm getting to breaking point dealing with all the male bullshit day in day out I'm not alone in these experiences I'll give you some examples of what I've experienced and I'd love to know your thoughts men objectifying and rating women based on attractiveness, including public and their own officers slash management, discussing graphically how they would fuck members of the public and how any hole is a goal.
26:35Anna Williamson:This talk borders on abusive slash rapey, betting on who will fuck the new girl first, being told sexual harassment is a compliment when trying to report it, men asking about your sexual preferences and even being off with you when you don't share this information. What industry is this? Well, I think she sort of half gave it away, actually. Constant innuendos and inappropriate sexual talk that becomes exhausting. Things like, come on, sit on my lap. We'll talk about the first thing that comes up. Hold my helmet. Lie on your back. It's what you're good for. Squat on my face. Really? Is this shit going on still?
27:11Anna Williamson:If you need help in the shower, let me know. Listening to the vast majority of them actively planning and regularly cheating. Discussions about their prostitution use. placing women in order of who they'd sleep with first openly joking about pedophilia mock stories about daddy used to do xyz then officers joining jibing in and going about going bareback completely ignoring requests to have your boundaries respected and in the past i've also experienced a witness inappropriate physical touching regularly brushed off as accidents or jokes when walking into female shower facilities men spreading malicious rumors are the same they slept with you when you turn them down malicious gossip is right i could go on so much unprofessional and immoral behavior other women have had it even worse then there's the fact that you are treated differently you have to work twice as hard to be respected you're perceived as not bad for a woman your reputation is based on your looks a false reputation of who you've slept with you're known as that girl who if a man makes a mistake it's just a mistake or they're having a bad day if a woman makes a mistake it's highlighted it's because you're a woman you're treated differently from men and god forbid your hormones mess things up for you i'll let you guess how that one goes down so many women have challenged this me included and it has not ended well it borders on career suicide you become the problem get outcasted isolated and not trusted you and your career get suppressed i've only just scratched the surface i'm super anxious about telling you bad about about it how bad it truly is i just don't know what to do anymore i love the job but the awful culture is killing me i'm emotionally drained exhorted and feel utterly broken by the constant battles to fight this and to defend my morals and values my mental health is battered i'm on a team that's so much better but when you've been through so much shit even dog shit can smell like roses my therapist has said the chances are i will never recover whilst i'm still in the workplace in this workplace she likens it to an abusive relationship it does yeah it does sound like that i'm scared of leaving this job that i love and i have worked so hard for most of my adult career but i'm also super aware of the damage i could suffer if i stay it feels so unfair what would you all do oh my god this is like this is probably one of the most shocking and horrible stories i think we've ever received like this is terrible like it's crazy like but also that institutional misogyny which you know we talk about a lot is in the news a lot but we're actually hearing this now firsthand from someone on the inside saying that this is terrible i mean to her point and then if you try and be a whistleblower you're just out you're punished by it I do you know what I know that you love this job but I would have to put my my my mental health I think I think this works for me in the sense in that you can only change you can't change others you can only change yourself or the situation and I think it's so awful that this situation can't be changed or you feel it can't be changed because of the reasons you've said so yeah to lose point if you can't change the situation how you're being treated and the misogyny and the awful stuff that's going on the only situation you can change is your own and i think to protect you and your mental health and everything then i i think that is possibly the route you might have to go and i guess no job is worth trying to keep banging the drum and on and exposure on it maybe you can anonymously whistleblow and things like that i don't know and start logging like logging things i mean i know you said you try i mean we don't know exactly what what industry you're in and where it is but you know is there someone high high high high up that you can lobby in the strictest of confidentiality to to try and affect some sort of change but i think this is a huge problem isn't it with institutional misogyny and the industry that you're in i mean i don't want to i don't want to guess what it is in case i get it wrong and label a you know it's just someone that's not that it isn't but it's clearly awful what's happening um i think i think yeah that's a horrible i think you have to protect yourself and put yourself first but i think that's deeply awful and unfair to feel like you have to leave a profession that you love because of this but you have to protect yourself that's crazy let us know how it goes like that's really i just wish there was a really good answer for that it's like you want to just always i feel like if you were in it and you knew everything and you worked so hard to do that job you'd want to kind of stay to maybe try and help change it in some way but you would feel so helpless that you you can't and it's it does feel really unfair that you have to leave that and kind of just accept it for what it is i mean i suppose sometimes if like if you did come away from it and that was the right decision for you you could possibly affect change by being a public whistleblower well yeah because then you've got nothing to lose i'm going public you know pr wise and and making making i just think having good evidence though you do need to log You do need like good more than logs, probably like recording and videos and stuff so that you can't be accused.
32:15Anna Williamson:I assume as well, you're kind of teaming up with the other women that you work with, you know, kind of power in numbers, even just by way of having a, you know, a soundboard and a support system. I just think, to be honest, mate, just to recognise that we're really sorry that you're having to go through that. And I think it sounds like the job you're doing is probably a job that we all benefit from as a country. And if that is the case, then thank you and well done with what you're doing. And I think it's disgusting how you're being treated. All the best, right? Tell us, you know, how you're getting on.
32:41Anna Williamson:Good luck. We've got a message from Anon. So Hiasynth. It says, hi Luanna, please call me Hiasynth, purely to see if my friends clock. This is me. First time writing in, but of course, I'm a long time listener. We absolutely love you. Thank you. Me and my twin and two of my best friends who are also sisters listen every week and we're coming to see you in October. Yay! We cannot wait. Also buzzing for the Jackie P stand. I don't. We're having one soon and I'm so hungry. That stand's going to be popular. Oh, yeah. Jackie P. Cheese and Beans is our fave in our group. We rotate hosting our sister catch-ups.
33:13Without fail, it's always a sister tea, a.k.a. Jackie P. Anyway, on to the story. When I was 17, I went on holiday to Lanzarote with my first ever boyfriend. Always going perfectly. Until one day, we ventured out of the hotel complex to a local bar. Cheap, cheerful and questionable. We stopped for a drink when suddenly my boyfriend darts off to the toilet, comes back saying he's got a little bit of an upset stomach. I ask if he wants to head back. He insists he's fine. Ten minutes later, off he trots again. And this time he's gone for ages, starting to wonder if he's moved in. Eventually he returns laughing to himself, red flag already.
33:47After some pressing, he finally tells me what's so funny. Turns out the men's toilet was locked, single cubicle situation. So in a moment of desperation, he legged it into the women's. Fair enough so far. He locks the door and proceeds to absolutely destroy the toilet. But then, horror of horrors, no toilet roll. this is where a normal person might panic maybe attempt to sink prince a la louisa use his boxes and go commando but no not this guy looks around evaluates his options and decides the best course of action is to wipe his ass with the dirty and stinky bog brush what yes the bog brush i nearly dumped him on the spot i was horrified at that point surely just waddling home with a questionable situation would have been the lesser evil.
34:37Safe to say, I got the ick. We didn't last much longer. Anyway, see you in October. Also, my best friend has the best Petty Polly story, which we're relentlessly telling her to send in. So if she finally does, keep your eyes peeled for that one. It's a corker. Bye, Felicia. Anna, I also didn't know that either. Thank you. I love you for that. You and Anna are the only people in the world. Remember, if you want to get in touch, you can email us, Luanna at everythingluanna.com You can also drop us a WhatsApp on 075-215-64640.
35:12Guys, we are dropping in now because full disclosure, we basically recorded a really amazing chat in this week's episode that Legal have stopped at the moment. Now, we're not saying it's not going to go out, but we all took on Imo's fabulous Recoseco, which was a few weeks ago to listen to the birth keepers podcast which was done by the guardian now we all listened and we absolutely binged it in one session which is very rare for me to be able to do and then we talked about yeah all of us and then we talked about it on the pod now in true legal style they stopped it going out because we must give the free birth society the right to reply that carries a time window which uh we need to allow them to come back so that little chat is going to be in next week's episode providing that legal let that slide which means we didn't want to shortchange you so we've jumped on with some other relevant newsy bits we're going to pop that section in next week's pod which gives you the opportunity to go and listen to the birth keepers podcast it is absolutely an incredible listen it's shocking it is shocking and it created a really good chat between us which none of you can listen to until that's been yes but i think but this is
36:30Anna Williamson:this is a luana first this is eight years luana has nearly been going and we have never been in this position guys so this goes to show what a juicy chat you have in store next week okay because we have some strong views on this so we just want to be extra careful because if we are being very heated about what some people have have or haven't allegedly been doing quite rightly we just need to make sure that we don't end up in jail so we'll wait for that you go and listen to that podcast six episodes um each 40 minutes it's a gripper trigger warning it's pretty horrific as well around birth um but yes so immo has dragged us back on willingly because we love you lufanians um to chat about what's been going on this week so first newsy bit oh by the way sorry if you're watching on youtube obviously we're not together we've all just randomly jumped on this remotely So it has suddenly gone from studio.
37:23Polished. Polished to now us in random locations around the world. That is why.
37:27Anna Williamson:This is very Luana. This is very Luana. Go on then, Anna. You can lead this one. Yep. So this has been rumbling. There's lots of people I've been seeing on socials actually crying from cabins and things. And it all feels very dramatic. And it kind of is because let's not underplay it. Three people, maybe even more now, have actually died. This is the Hantavirus. so this is um this is a cruise ship um where there is the infection of hantavirus which is a group of viruses mainly carried by rodents but it can infect uh humans and it can cause serious illness illness and death now i don't know at this point so basically there's a cruise ship um that where is it at the moment ims it's currently on its way to the canary islands cape verde oh yeah it was around Cape Verde and it was then having to anchor for several days whilst they were figuring out what the hell to do about this virus that broke out on board.
38:25Anna Williamson:Three people, one of which I believe was the ship's doctor, died from contracting this hantavirus. And as you can imagine, everybody stuck on this is in widespread panic and I feel desperately sorry for anyone that has. But yeah, to your point, Ims, at the time of recording this, which is a few days before you guys hear it, I believe they were trying to then trot over to the Canaries. But correct me if I'm wrong, I was reading stuff that the Canaries are refusing to accept the ship. I don't blame them. I don't know how true that is. Yeah, they're not happy about it. Well, I wouldn't be, would you?
39:02Anna Williamson:I mean, you wouldn't be, would you? But so what's going to happen is, so they had to airlift some of the very sick people off the ship to hospitals. I'm not sure the doctor did die, babe, to be honest I think there was a doctor that died But it wasn't the ship's doctor Yeah, because a husband and wife have both died And a German woman Her body is still on the ship I was listening to LBC yesterday They were talking about it, maybe A British patient who was a doctor Was airlifted from the ship But he wasn't the ship's doctor The ship, sorry, I just heard doctor on the ship okay classic anna spreading fake news um but yeah so essentially so what is this hantavirus so i mean i think we're all you know whenever we hear about these things right it just creates like exactly it just creates this ptsd around the coronavirus um but apparently so people usually become affected by this hantavirus by breathing in air that's contaminated um with virus particles from rodent urine droppings or saliva and the transmission between people occurs through close contact the symptoms are pretty awful like fever fatigue nausea diarrhea vomiting shortness of breath some people um have had difficulties with kidney failure i mean i guess my question is and i don't know the answer to this there's no suggestion that this is any fault of the ship well it's a bit weird that everyone on the ship's got it now or do we think one person went on and they had it and then they spread it.
40:35Yeah, I think the thinking is that two passengers brought it from somewhere onto the ship and then it spread. Do we think it's the two dead ones, the husband and wife? We don't know. We're not sure. Well, and the thing is you have to self-isolate for up to six weeks. And there's a couple of people, this says, that are currently self-isolating in England. But what if they don't do it? Then what happens?
41:02Anna Williamson:Well, I would imagine that anyone coming off that ship, again, I don't know, we're purely speculating here in water cooler gossip, guys, but I would anticipate that anyone coming off that ship from, I think there's several nationalities, obviously, as happens on cruise ships, but anyone that is coming off that cruise ship that's a British national will be in the same way that the coronavirus. Remember when we had all of that system when you flew back into London, you'd be frog marched to a hotel or you were certainly under some sort of, you know, watch from officials. So I would imagine quite rightly the same sort of approach will be taken here that if you come off that ship, which is the, what's it called?
41:42Anna Williamson:The MV Hondias cruise ship that, yeah, you'll be under the same sort of screening process and sort of, it says self-isolation, but I would imagine that would be pretty much enforced. if you weren't going to cooperate. But it can take between one and eight weeks for symptoms to even appear. So you might be home and be like, oh, it's been a few weeks, I'm fine. Go out and then infect loads of people. It's quite scary. It is Corona mark two. Well, it is because do you remember, and I think we were talking about this with someone yesterday about it, and just same with the coronavirus. It's when there's sort of not the joined up thinking because if everybody's going to get off the ship, I mean, can you patrol that amount of people and then get them all home without infecting people that you've just come into contact?
42:31Anna Williamson:You know what I mean? Because we all remember, right? How do you even get home? Like if you've got to get in a car. Yeah, or a flight. Because I remember with COVID, I remember, and I think we all had this, didn't we? We had all those ruddy PCR tests and whichever the returning airport you were coming from. I remember we were coming back from Sicily and we had been shoved and poked and prodded with things. and two two negativo tests later we were allowed to fly back to England now you assume everybody else had the same test but yet lo and behold I kid you not I swear Alex and I caught COVID from that flight so somebody was incubating it you know you can't catch everybody so I guess however yeah however with hantavirus it is different from coronavirus where I believe as I heard on the radio this morning you can't spread it unless you are showing symptoms like you have to be symptomatic to then spread it on you have to have symptoms it's not like you're carrying it silently and you might not show symptoms but you do have it it's different to that you would be showing signs of having hantavirus to be able to spread it so it's not like it's different to covid in that way is there a cure do we know no oh there's no cure and there's no vaccine for it no that's even worse then wow they just they just manage the the symptoms and the things that happen to your body as a result of hantavirus yeah that is scary it's very it's very concerning there was a guy that went viral yesterday that was crying his eyes out and all the news networks were covering it and him just saying look please people help us i mean i believe they are getting as much help as they possibly can and the ship the captain was and the travel operators were being very good at trying to keep them all up to date.
44:15Anna Williamson:But he was crying his eyes out going, I know this is headline news for everybody else, but we're real people stuck in cabins. We're real people. I mean, it would be terrifying. It would be terrifying for people. But yeah, let's hope everybody docks and gets home safely and hantavirus is no more, right? Oh, that's terrible, that poor husband and wife that have died. Like imagine being their children. Really sad. Like they've just gone on their nice little holiday and now they're dead. That's really sad. At least they died together. There is that. We take comfort in that Romeo and Juliet way. But yeah, wishing a good solution.
44:51Anna Williamson:Well, I say good solution. I mean, it's been terrifying, but yeah, best one. On to slightly more Luanna Bernal news stories. So us. This is a good one. Simply, the headline is this, brace yourself, Lufanians, burning man who pulled two-ton car with his penis explains the state of his manhood after. That's what we're after. Absolutely obliterated. So he attempted to become the first man in the world to pull a car using only his manhood. Oh, and the car was on fire while he did this. Oh, burning cock. No, no, no. No, no. He was on fire, not the car. He was on fire. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Why would anyone do this?
45:36Anna Williamson:Why? So he's naked on fire pulling a car with his cock. With his John Thomas. I don't think he was naked. I think he was just poking it out through the hole of his trousers. And then he probably had like a flammable suit on. Yeah, I think that was... Well, anyway, don't try this at home. This dude, John Stevenson, is 50. So they set a light to him before he yanked a French police car, which weighed two tonnes, and he pulled this for 40 metres. It's 131 feet, just along a residential street, casual. In Yorkshire, lovely. And do you know what? Even if he used his hands, it would be amazing to do that.
46:18But he decided to use his big schlong. So he basically attached a tow rope to his manhood and it was a Renault Clio RS. It was very confusing to the poor residents in this street in Halifax in West Yorkshire and they just looked on as he slowly pulled the car along with his cock.
46:40Anna Williamson:Do you know what I'd like, girls? I would love a Lufanian. We know you'll be out there, Lufanian. Somebody must have witnessed this. Yeah, there must be a picky. We would love a picky or a bystander anecdote of actually what went on with this, because we would like to know exactly what it was like with a bird's-eyed view of the old schlonger. He said it hurt quite a bit. I mean, I mean. But everything was still intact. Yeah, it's not the first time that Stevenson has attempted something this wild. He's a martial arts expert and former bare knuckle fighter. his previous challenge saw him pulling a car along using his testicles.
47:20And on another occasion, he pulled a vehicle along while his head was on fire. He's got a little penchant, hasn't he, for pulling vehicles while he's on fire. And this time he decided to combine the two, genitalia and fire. But he is doing it for a good cause. he wants to raise awareness um for some important causes don't actually know what they are
47:46Anna Williamson:doesn't say it he goes on to say uh i mean i love the fact that he's he's he's wanting to to give to charitable causes i mean i'd look forward to that day when he you know hand over those giant checks you know and he's just handing over his giant charity check with his poor todger literally in rack and ruin but he did say that he did his research before doing this and figured out that nobody in the world had ever done it before um it's a prostate cancer Lou there it is he said there's a serious side to it raising awareness of prostate cancer and bullying in schools well do you know something I will hand in hand there go facetious comment yeah a bit bullying well well I would say complimentary well no but I think that's lovely that he is wanting to raise awareness I don't know if destroying your own knackers is the way to do it But listen, you do you, hon.
48:40I didn't expect this dude to be British, actually, to be honest. I'm quite proud, actually. Oh, do you know what's sweet there? He said, I'm also raising money for Rudd's Retreat in Huddersfield, which provides holidays for families of children with cancer. We love this man. That is nice. But I'm not sure. We love this man. He's also got other world records, Anna. He holds the world record for managing 300 punches in 30 seconds, while holding a kilo dumbbells in each hand. That is impressive. 330 seconds. And also, I mean, he's a bit of a world record breaker, this dude. More world records for performing six martial arts kicks, kicking techniques in less than five and a half seconds, in addition to several for pulling or lifting vehicles.
49:30He's a bit like us with world records, but he goes through with it and we just talk about it. He does.
49:35Anna Williamson:So who are we? Who are we to judge other than to say, John Stevenson, you've done one better than us. You will see Luanna sometime soon pulling a car along with our labias. Oh, that's grim. Can you imagine? Oh, probably split. It's like when we were at the Gladiators the other week and someone split their vag on the right. Oh, can't wait to share all of the goss from this. Oh, gosh. Well, all I would say is don't, I just, no. It's a no from me, but it's a well done, John, for raising money for charity with your tajaja. I mean, it's just like really like nice charities like, you know, children's cancer and bullying in schools.
50:19Can't you just vacate or something? It doesn't really match. It didn't pass the vibe check, did it? And I'm presenting you now for the children's cancer charity providing holidays, this lovely check from me and from my burning penis.
50:37Anna Williamson:Well those are the news stories of the week A quick shoehorn in there But don't forget of course to tune in to next week Where we will be talking about The big juicy topic that is The Birth Keepers podcast so do make sure you listen To that if you want to know exactly what we are Talking and debating And also we share the news The full story of what went on When we took on The gladiators Are you a gladiator Ba da bum All I'm going to say is my body is still absolutely covered in bruises. That's why I'm so bruised. It's only just occurred to me. I said to Andrew this morning, I was like, I don't know why I've got all these bruises on my shins.
51:19And now I've just realised it's because, oh, she's getting naked on camera. Wow, that's a corker.
51:28Anna Williamson:And up there as well. And do you know what? I went to my hygienist yesterday. I'm having a little bit of a health MOT at the moment. Oh, joyful. As in, like you said, it's. But I was in, you know, and then I went to see the dentist afterward. And she was sort of like, you know, they always check the jaw and everything and the neck and the muscles and things like that. And so she went down to my neck and she went, hmm. She kept squidging away. And I was like, what's wrong? Straight away, obviously, I'm like, oh, my God, what is it? It's a neck cancer, you know. And she's going, she was like, why are you so tight and tense?
51:58Anna Williamson:And I was like, I have been quite sore. She went, you feel like you've got whiplash. Have you done something recently? And I went, I think she went, no, no, maybe I've just, then I went, I did take part in Jewel, the gladiator game. Could that be it? And she went, looked at me, she went, yes, I think that's it. Well, my mate was whacking me around the head with a massive. With a pugil stick. With a massive stick. She went, that'll be what it is. You've got a bit of whiplash. My shins are black and blue. And actually, I had a massage yesterday. And the woman went to me, I think you need to come back.
52:33Your neck is so tight. My neck is so sore. I've actually made an appointment with my neurosurgeon next week because I think I've done something to my neck and I need an MRI. I'm not even joking. Stop it. How's that for the ailment of the week? Yeah, I think I've really done something.
52:47Anna Williamson:That is the ailment. Well, even she, Resmi, my dentist, and she went, if this doesn't improve, I'll need to give you some Botox in your shoulders and your neck to stop it all being so... I was like, it's fine now, quite honestly. It's actually fine. Maybe I should get a bit of Botox. If you want to hear what went on at the Gladiators and why Louisa and I are now basically back in the Doctors, you've got to listen to next week's app. And Anna majorly crushing on the Gladiators. Well, let's just say it was my three days of ovulation. I'll leave you with that.
53:21Anna Williamson:It's the widow of the week. Right, first up we've got Tom. He says, hi, no, Animo XL. Animo Bexal. Catchy. Love the pod. Long time listener, gay man fan here. Now here's my contender for Weird of the Week. I can't remember when this started but for as long as I can remember I've been playing a little game with myself whenever I shop in Tesco. Everyone who works in Tesco wears a name badge which says what year they started working for Tesco. Oh, I love this. The game I play is to find the longest working staff member. My current record is a lovely lady called Linda who started work in 1992. I keep a record in my notes on my phone and I try to beat it every time I go in.
53:58Anna Williamson:It's been a potluck because I don't actively seek out a long-standing employee. It's the lottery of whoever's on the till that day. I must say, self-service checkouts are ruining my fun. I can't wait for the day I beat 1992. That's weird, but I don't think I'm the only person that plays this game. I think you are. I think you are. What do you girls think? Keep doing what you're doing. Tom in Southampton. I love entertaining yourself on the shop, though. I think, Tom, no hate, no judgment. You do, you, hon. Yeah, I'd like to know if you do find someone that is there longer than 92. Right, we've got another one from Monica Sarblew.
54:34Anna Williamson:My knickers are blue. My knickers are blue. That's a good one. Am I weird of the week? Please keep me in on. Fully intend on continuing my weird niche. I love nothing more than using a pair of tweezers to pluck my pubes. Oh, that sounds painful. Yes, my pubes in the shower, on the toilet, sometimes just for fun. I also sometimes pluck my bogeys. Of course, with different tweezers, I am hygienic but nothing better than plucking out a thick wiry bastard. Yeah that's good. You may think it's weird but I'd definitely say give it a try I love the pod. I love nothing more than well I don't have pubes anymore but I liked other than the bum fluff I get but I loved an ingrown pube hair and then when you and then when you get the tweezers and that bad boy pulls out and it's like unravelled that is satisfying sex on legs who's weirder though?
55:23Anna Williamson:Oh definitely Tom and the supermarket Tom that is weird yeah I mean, for me. That is a bit bizarre. But I sort of weirdly love that. I love that. I now want to go into a Tesco and see if I can beat a 92. I didn't know that that was a thing at Tesco. Neither did I. That's what I mean. Right, Lufanians, if you're in Tesco, who can beat 1992? Help Tom out. Longstanding employee. I'm just thinking of our local Tesco, which I sometimes pop to. There's a couple of old boys on that till. There's a couple of old boys on those tills. And I reckon they might have been there a long time. Really? Just go in and have a look.

On this week’s LuAnna: the girls are in full matching Gladiators kits and heading off to Birmingham for the live experience, equipped with gloves, a dicky neck, a dicky ankle and a lot of bravado. Will Anna's sessions with Lilia come good? Also, Lu is raging after yet another parking ticket saga, this time involving her dad, and we give advice to a listener working in a deeply misogynistic environment that leaves everyone genuinely horrified.
And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s chat about the terrifying hantavirus cruise ship, a man who pulled a car with his penis while on fire for charity, a Tesco name-badge game, pube-plucking, and a legal update after the girls’ juicy Birth Keepers chat gets temporarily pulled from the episode... you'll definitely be wanting to tune in next week for that one.
LuAnna: The Podcast is a Global production, available every Monday and Thursday on Global Player, YouTube or wherever you get your shows. Make sure you subscribe so you never miss an episode.
