In short
The hosts debate the “Isabel Lorna” controversy after the TikTok influencer launched Agenda, a luxury leather “posh Filofax” planner system, and discuss whether her £300–£350 price point conflicts with her “save pennies” brand identity. They also cover personal updates (a recurring Bartholin/vaginal cyst, tortoise care, vag wax/groin pain), recommend shows/books/recipes, and answer listener messages.
Guest backgrounds
No external guests appear. The episode is hosted by Luana (Luana podcast hosts: Lu, Imo, and Anna/Emma referenced), plus producer Imogen.
Key claims
The controversy is framed as jealousy/envy of success versus legitimate criticism about brand mismatch. Defenders argue influencers monetize their audience and “build toward” higher-end products. Critics argue it feels out of touch for a money-saving audience.
Notable examples
Agenda waitlist and sales figures (108k waitlist; £100k in 10 minutes; £250k in an hour; £400k in six hours). A recommended UNW TV series “Red Flag” (Paul C. Brunson) about coercive control via case studies. Viral feta pasta recipe. Listener stories include a police search mistaken for nitrous oxide balloons and an “umbrella/dog bed” bladder emergency.

0:04Anna Williamson:Be warned, it's Luana and this podcast contains honest, upfront opinions, rants, pants and general explicit content. But you know you love it. Isabel Lorna, she has launched a brand called Agenda, which is basically a posh filofax. I bloody love a filofax, if I'm honest with you. Now, there was then a lot of controversy surrounding this with the price tag. and people were kind of eggy with her about this. If you don't want it, don't buy it. There's just a lot of jealousy and envy of success in life. There really, really is. We love the rise, but we thrive on the fall even more.
0:48Good manana, morning, morrow. Top of the morning to you all. Bonjour, ciao.
0:54Anna Williamson:You are in a... Bonge. Bonge me. Bonge, Imo. We haven't had bonge in a while. I know. I love a bit of bonge. We love a bit of bonge. Bonge, Imo. How are you today? Let's start with you. Oh, ça va bien. Thank you. Ça va bien et toi. Et toi. Et toi. Yet another week in Luana land and talking bollocks in languages we clearly can't speak. Good morning, everybody. Just want to say, if you've been following our socials this weekend, like the last weekend, we have been in Paris however we are recording this on the Friday before we go to Paris so we're not reffing Paris, it'll be next week if you're expecting that Celine Dion lowdown I just wanted to let you all know that because we're buzzing about Paris and we're going to be hungover on Monday and travelling back and stuff so yeah You didn't need that in your life guys There were nights when the wind was so you know and also just to give people a little bit of a
2:01it's gonna be like sex in the city it's gonna be saggy sex in the city
2:07Anna Williamson:saggy sex in the city yeah it's myself Lou Carrie perimenopausal sex do you know what's so funny is like we're all doing our packing list and on my little packing classic Lou like in a really good way like has sent us all a little schedule um you know what you know ideas of what to pack and things like that i am do not bring that fucking work bag the brown the brown bag is well you know no no don't even bring it just to wind you up no i've actually got a new bag and everything i bought a black crossbody bag for walking around paris so um please for you um thank you but i'm like remember my hrt like we're all remembering our medications i was like oh my god we've just turned into such Remember the HRT, remember the ADHD.
2:52ADHD medication. The painkillers, remember the Voltarol to put on our feet for our Friday night out.
3:00Anna Williamson:Imodium because I've had a sickness and shitting bug this week and I don't want a round two of that. So we need to bring the medication bag. And we've also, in true wannabe style, have got loads of TikToks and reels that we want to film that we basically will not get round to doing because we'll forget. We will. I really want to do some. I'm so excited. Well, I think we need to make a commitment. And guys, if you're listening to this and watching this. Yeah. If you're watching this on YouTube. If you are watching on YouTube, hello. Make sure you are subscribing to us on YouTube and following us on your favorite podcast platform.
3:36Anna Williamson:But yeah, we will have committed to at least three good TikToks. Okay. We've got two. No, I want more than that. I saw this one and these girls did a girl trip and then they each came up with like a job and hobbies and like a name for the other one. And I just fucking loved it. And I really, I'm going to send it today in our group. It's quite labor intensive. And I'm going to be like, no, it's not. We can do it. No, I'm here for it. And then basically each person is going to get like another person and you've got to do it today and then like do the little pictures and everything. Right, we'll do that.
4:13Anna Williamson:Lou's life, like Lou is subscribing to the highest level ChatGPT. And honestly, it's running her life, guys. She's never been happier. I'm now paying£100 a month for ChatGPT. Now, it's not the highest level. My friend is paying£200 and it is running his life. What do you get for that? And let me tell you, I don't know. Like he showed me all this shit. It was quite amazing. And let me tell you, he is fucking killing it in his business as well. Okay, well, that's good. Absolutely. You know, Nick is him. yeah yeah yeah it's like I went for dinner with them and he's like fucking insane like it's streamlined my life it does all this shit for him and he is absolutely so for him the 200 pounds is 100 % worth it because what he's gaining business wise is obviously multiples of that but so I was like okay I'm gonna invest in this I feel like I'm not like using it to its full potential yet but I'm getting that.
5:09I mean, this morning I've been generating 80s images of myself for that viral trend that's going on.
5:15Anna Williamson:I mean, I think this is it. What do we use it for? Yesterday I was like, took a picture of myself and I was like, do a facial analysis of how I could make myself more attractive. So, you know. Oh my God. And the picture didn't work. Didn't even generate a picture. I know, crappy. Maybe it came back with you are perfection already. No, it didn't. It was like, you could do this, that. The other. Yeah, I basically got roasted by Chachi Bitu. She's literally, she's on a one-way ticket to be the Bride of Wildenstein. Do you know what I mean? Yes. Yes, honey. Mads from Benidorm. Yes, honey. I'm more feeling like Joan Collins vibes coming my way.
5:55Yes, Joan Collins.
5:56Anna Williamson:Did Joan Collins die? No, not Joan Collins. I think, yeah, she did. No, she didn't. No, she didn't. No, she can't have. Someone died. No, Dolly Parton did. No, someone else like Joan Rivers. What's the other one? Not Joan Rivers. No, Joan Rivers did. No, Joan Collins. Joan Collins. No, she's not. She's still here. Joan Collins is alive. Yeah, but there's another one like her. Can I just say, I met Joan. I've met Joan Collins a few times because we're both King's Trust ambassadors. And Joan Collins, let me tell you, she is one hell of a woman. She's teeny tiny, pint-sized. She doesn't fuck about.
6:28Anna Williamson:Like, she knows she's Joan Collins when you meet her. She's nice, but she's also, you know, when you get to that age and that level of just being a super famous like yeah veteran celebrity and she just knows her I mean I was fawning over her like you wouldn't believe I think um Joan Collins was part of my sexual awakening really in um Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat okay back it up back it up hang on you wanted to shag Joan Collins no but in in Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat the one with Donny Osmond in it. Yeah. Joan Collins is in it. What? Do what? She's basically naked, I swear. Is this a film or was it the theatre?
7:09She's Potiphar's wife in the film. Is she? Yes. I don't know at this point.
7:14Anna Williamson:I'll find a picture. Okay, get me a picture. What year are we talking that this was in? When I was a child. How? So maybe not sexual awakening. That sounds weird. Well, children, you know, do have... we've also got these new cameras guys they're really cool so if you are watching us on youtube it should be coming to you in much better quality i have to be honest i'm really delighted because i feel like dog shit and i look quite okay what is it what if his wife joan collins yeah it's moving it's like it follows us around okay all right she's not naked but i think her titties are a little bit out joan collins is hot guys i've seen her in the flesh masturbating over jane collins's 93 year old tits she wasn't 93 at the time well i'm just saying hang on hang on oh hang on a minute oh that was your sexual awakening okay we need to put this up on social now we know you need to watch the film it was quite a little sexy thing circus porn for you so immo did you have a little bit of a little flick bean no i think i was six at the time so no I did not okay no that's highly inappropriate but I wouldn't fancy her now though I don't know that's rude back in the day you shouldn't be ageist no no it's like looking at her young she's not like my type what is your type I don't know really but I just don't really fancy her fair I mean I think this has been an enlightening start to this episode that basically emo jaffed off to joan collins i didn't love it right do you need to call hr emo you do yeah we'll move on the phone in a sec we'll move on well how's everyone else been or um lou you're in doves at the moment enjoying your 42 degrees best life oh my god do you know what it sounds really hot but it's glorious i just sat outside it's a dry heat it's so nice do you know what it just makes me happier happy you just i am just happier in the sunshine wearing little clothes like it just it just makes me happy guys I've no life complaints right now I love that isn't that the ultimate goal are you thriving or are you surviving I think I'm going to do an insta reel I'm going to start becoming a life coach actually now I'm in Dubai okay I'm going to be like guys are you thriving or are you surviving here are my top five tips to help you thrive you know don't just get by in life live it feel it make sure that every neuron in your body is electrified with life that's how i'm feeling today tomorrow i'll be a total depressive again life's shit everyone's shit hate everyone but you know what for now we will take happy loo um well i feel like i'm thriving other than having the shits also i need to caveat this guys if at any point you hear lots of noise obviously the reno continues we have stonemasons in today we've got plumbers in today we've got it all going on but at the moment i did just tell them all to be quiet i think they think i'm a bit rude actually but that's okay uh because we're recording but yeah all good gotta do what we've got to do babes so you're in but doves yeah all is good over here as well just yeah living up also before we move on We've got to say, guys, we have been feeling the love because Luanna has officially, last week, we celebrated our eighth anniversary.

13:32Anna Williamson:now secret squirrels but yeah we highly urge that you don't want to miss out
13:43Anna Williamson:Right, any other goss, any other chat before we move on to Recoseco? Anyone else want to share anything? Imogen, you had a tortoise you looked after. What does groin mean?
13:55Firstly, the tortoise staying at my house was a delight. I had a great time with the tortoise. Do you now want a tortoise? Quite low maintenance. I don't want one. They are very low maintenance though. okay um my favorite part of having the tortoise is when it climbed on naomi and then weed all over her that was my favorite does tortoise wee smell no it's just like it's just clear cloudy and then sometimes it has like a white bit in it almost like you know like bird has like white in it oh and it's something to do with calcium i don't know anyway the groin thing i think i've pulled my groin when i went for a wax yesterday thought you were about to say wank
14:33Anna Williamson:you've got to stop with these waxes in there we never hear a positive story about it we are stopping this aren't we Lou we need to invest in her laser because every time you talk about your vag wax there is an ailment with it so this has got to stop one day it's gonna take your clit off so you better get lasered soon you you oh well talking of vagges um I want to know about this oh what my vag oh yeah um tell everyone about your vag so my vag the vag the vag cyst is back guys so you may remember new fanians that um a while ago i had a vag cyst i have i have had a bartholin cyst which is basically a golf ball sized cyst inside my fungita for about 18 months two years right and it's growing she taught it's the size of a golf ball no no you told me it was a golf ball yeah it's always been about that though it's always been about the stud yeah it's always been about i mean mine would be closed if i had that in there you know it's so tight and juicer.
15:31Anna Williamson:Mine's still got plenty of room for everybody to have a go. Actually, maybe it's a good thing because maybe the cyst makes me a little bit smaller and tighter. Yeah, it must do, right? Because it's infringing on your surface area. So it's making it smaller and therefore tighter that. Maybe it's a positive. Well, anyway, I've had it checked. I had a couple of second opinions. I was all told there was nothing like sinister with it, which is good. But it's just not very nice to have. basically it's just not very fun to have a cyst so I went to see my gynecologist uh who was very good very very good um and yeah excellent in fact um and I even got the nurse the chaperone nurse was like do you want to have a look as well at this cyst you know why not everyone can get stuck in sorry about the noise you can hear drilling by the way guys um anyway I have decided there were two options I could either have uh I could have gone in the next day to have a catheter put in which I'd have to keep a catheter in my pants for four weeks.
16:32Anna Williamson:Four weeks? Yeah to have the cyst drained. To drain it? It's a hard no for me guys. No. It's a hard no for me. I was like what happens when I bleed like my cycle? She's like oh no you just work around it. I was like well oh no that's rank. It's a no and she went or she went we can pop you on my list and you can have it removed under a general. I was like we're going for the general. So I'm having the cyst removed in an op TBC when but yeah the cyst is being removed so there we go the golf ball shall be gone but just a little reminder to everybody is something any lumps or bumps we have oh whoa whoa sorry guys if you're watching on YouTube my camera just did something what what do I do Anna's camera just went in on her oh oh wow oh we've got these new fangled cameras we've got these new cameras and basically it's like an auto zoom in and out thing.
17:27And it just went in on Anna's face, which was quite frightening for Emma and I, to be frank. Quite honestly, it was frightening for me, guys.
17:35Anna Williamson:Don't give me tech, guys. I can't use tech. I've even had to have my husband to set this up this morning for me. It doesn't work. Anyway, just a little reminder to everybody, look after your vaginas, look after your boobies. Any lumps and bumps, please go and see a docky. I thank you. Right. Okay, should we move on? Yes, please. It's time for... It's the Reku Serko. The Reku Serko. It's the Reku Serko. Da-da-da-da. Stunning. Wow, that was really out of the thing. Right, Anna, you go. You're the only one that's prepped for this. Brilliant. Surprisingly, I haven't. Well, this, a little bit nepo, this one, but you know what?
18:16Anna Williamson:Fuck it, don't care, because it is bloody amazing. This is a bit of a shout-out. It's a TV show this week. and this is, as lots of you all know, one of me, Lou's my work wife, Paul C. Brunson is my work hubby. He has done the most incredible new show on UNW. It's called Red Flag. It launched last week and I wanted to reco it on the pod because I think we get so many messages, don't we, from people in abusive relationships or questioning their relationships. We talk a lot about coercive control domestic abuse and stuff like that well paul has gone and done a massive deep dive and i think it's really interesting as a man he he has owned this topic so he has done i think it's eight parter um and he has gone and is investigating um in case studies and it's men and women and actually interestingly he was telling me the the man uh case study he has it is wild do you remember we talked about i don't know if he's i think we talked about it there was a channel five documentary on a woman that had that was abusing her husband um i don't know if we talked about it ages ago he filmed it on like the nanny cam yes yes yeah so it isn't that guy but it is a story quite similar and it is shocking this guy is like a big beefy rugby player military guy and the level of coercive control and abuse from his little teeny tiny pint-sized wife and i think it's really interesting because it um it plays into the fact that yes majority it happens man to woman ratio but equally it does happen the other way around um and he really tackles um a lot of the nuances and the how it can actually happen so it's all about coercive control um domestic abuse obviously it's a bit of a tough watch but i think it's really informative particularly to people that have some sort of um concern over that so red flag it's the mate paul's show you and w is also his first own commission with his own production company and I'm very proud of him um yeah he's done a really good job on it so that is my recosecco of the week well done Paul mine is I'm gonna go with a dish actually something you know I always promote like good home-cooked cooking I don't think that we do it enough and I get why we don't because we're always too rushed Anyway, saw it on TikTok, decided to make it.
20:36It's the viral feta pasta. Oh, yum. Has anyone ever made it? Oh, talk to me. So good. So easy to make.
20:44Anna Williamson:I know the marry me pasta, which is delish. No, this is different. And a really good family dish. So easy. All you do is get a load of tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, block of feta, whack it in a baking tray, bit of olive oil. I then put like an Italian mix of dry herbs, salt, pepper, and I use that lazy garlic. Whack it in the oven for 20 minutes. Love lazy garlic. Yeah, whack it in the oven 20 minutes. Whilst that's cooking, boil your pasta. I personally like to use linguine for this dish. Then once your pasta's cooked and it's been in there for 20 minutes, you need to save one cup of your pasta water.
21:27pop in one cup of your pasta water with the feta and tomatoes mixy mixy all around and then put your pasta in with that as well mixy mixy all around and it is ready to eat it is a dish in like under half an hour the kids love it as well it's home cooked it's obviously it's a little carb heavy but it's not terribly bad for you serve it with a side salad and bob is your uncle it's
21:53Anna Williamson:listen nothing wrong with some carbs especially like that baby that sounds I eat way too much pasta but it's so good and also good so nice to make and obviously you can also chuck in if you've got other stuff in your fridge you can chuck in some peppers some courgettes some onion but the the crux of it is the feta and the tomatoes and it's really good and my kids love it delish love that I will be cooking that that reminds me I've got a very good oven baked paella i might do for next week's record but love that thank you lou imi what have you got i've got a book okay it's uh i mean if you've managed to avoid this book this year i'd be surprised but i bet i've avoided i bet you've avoided it yeah uh it's called yesteryear i've avoided that too never heard of it and um essentially it's about the trad wife thing so the premise of the book is that there's a lady who is a trad wife influencer and uh she obviously does all the bits and bobs and she makes the bread and she has the 7 000 children and blah blah blah blah blah it's all a bit mormon that trad wife thing isn't it i think yeah and so it's about her and then suddenly one day she wakes up and she's actually in the olden days when she had to do that when she is like a natural trad wife and she's got to work out how to get out of there and what's going on and all of that stuff and it's very interesting it's very interesting for a lot of the book i was like i don't know where this is going we're going along i have no idea what what's going to happen apparently there's a twist but it's not happening yet and then it does happen and then it's very interesting anyway it is one that i would love to like discuss with people um well you've got should we read it i know you have got a luana book club no No, the Luanna Book Club There is a Luanna Book Club She's in a book club But they You were going to I could try I could try and Audible this And listen to it If you want to discuss it With your Audible I could listen to it Whilst I crochet Didn't you finally Cancel that subscription?
24:13No, babes I've still got it $8.99 a month Every month And this has been going on For at least The eight years That we've been recording This pod You've spent $350 on Audible
24:23Anna Williamson:that you've never used. You must have so many credits. Great records. Imo, what's the book called again? Just a little... It's called Yesteryear. Yesteryear. 24:52Anna Williamson:right listen let's muff on into messages um message from chloe first she says hi luanna love love love the pod and i have a story for you i'm not sure where it will fit into your pod but here goes it's my son's sixth birthday and we're driving home from my in-laws after celebrating with them keep this in mind for later in the story i pull into our road realizing a car has been following me without indicating for quite some time i pull up to my house and park the car My husband jumps out to see where the car had gone, to see it turn around and drive off again. Thinking nothing of it, I started opening my door to get out.
25:23Anna Williamson:The next thing I know, a dark car has come speeding up very close to me, blocking me in from behind. And not seconds later, a police car with its lights blaring boxed me in the front. I was surrounded. Now, I'm a very careful driver and I've never been involved with the police, so I was petrovised. Yeah, you'd shit your pants, wouldn't you? They spoke to me through the open door, explaining that both my husband and I, as well as my car are currently being detained to be searched. Of course, I had nothing to hide, so I cooperated. They asked me if I was the driver. Sitting in the driver's seat, I could have been very sarcastic but didn't want to annoy them, so I just answered, yeah.
25:57Anna Williamson:They asked me to step out of the vehicle and explained that there had been a report of us doing nitrous oxide balloons whilst driving. Now, I am heavily pregnant, nine months, and my husband has never touched drugs in his life, so I was extremely confused. My son wondered what was going on, so I asked him to jump out to say hello to the police, of course trying to keep him calm. Out he jumped, holding his birthday balloon. Well, the police lady looked at my son, then at me, and asked the officers to take a look at his lovely birthday balloon. They all began to laugh, still needing to complete the search, take our details and everything.
26:37Anna Williamson:Then they weren't concerned whatsoever, and of course no nitrous oxide was found in my car. Oh my God, who the hell called this in? Anyway, my son thought his birthday was the best day ever. He got to sit in a police car, put on the lights and the sirens at 9pm. I'm not sure how much my neighbours appreciated that and how I didn't go into labour that night's beyond me. I hope you enjoyed this. Please keep being amazing and everyone's journey is entertaining from Chloe in Essex. What the actual F. Brilliant. Great story. Let that be a lesson to us all. That is brilliant. Right, we've got another message from Sarah.
27:17She says, Hi Luanamo, long time listener here. I found your pod after having my first child, after watching some hilarious clips on Instagram, just instantly knowing that it's my humour. You've been a lifeline in more ways than you could imagine. And I look forward to each new episode, particularly when I get my own space driving to and from work. I've listened to all the great advice you've given to listeners over the years, and I was hoping to get some advice of my own. So here we go. I moved to the Netherlands for work 12 years ago. I met my now husband quite soon after moving here. After being together for almost a year, I moved into his house in a small town where he grew up.
27:52I started learning the language as I realized I was going to be here a little longer than the two years I initially came for. My husband had his own business, so I knew even then that moving back to the UK would be more complicated for him, but I was just living in the moment. Fast forward to 2021. After marriage, buying a house together in the same town and having our first child, things really changed for me. I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl in the middle of COVID a couple of weeks after Brexit. So not only was travel almost impossible, my family were not allowed to visit the Netherlands during COVID as the UK was no longer in the EU.

28:26I began to realise how isolated I was, how I barely had any connections here and how much I still didn't feel settled in a place that I'd lived for over seven years by then. After finally seeing my family, going back to work and brushing my feelings under the carpet, I just got on with life. I changed jobs in 2023, which improved things. I was working in an English-speaking environment with other expats, so it did fill a bit of a hole. But it wasn't something that fulfilled my life outside of that. I'd also hit a wall with learning Dutch, and I just convinced myself that once my daughter started school, things would improve and I would make friendships through her.
29:00We had our second baby girl mid 2024 and I became a wreck again and I know that postpartum feelings had a lot to do with this but I just couldn't shift the feelings of loneliness, losing myself after motherhood and not having friendships in a support network that I might be able to have in the UK. His family lived nearby but by no means were involved in our lives as much as my family would be. So here it comes. My husband sold his business in 2025 and the notion of moving finally became a possibility. Great, you might think, just up and move. But yet it doesn't feel so easy. He's never moved outside of his town.
29:36It's his safe place, the only place he's ever known. And ironically, it's the only place I've known when it comes to bringing up children regarding benefits, schools, and how all of that works. My oldest is now at school and I worry about taking her away from the life she knows. My youngest is only two, so obviously she's less aware of everything. so in the end I am carrying the burden of three people's well-beings I know that Louisa you've moved countries to Dubai so that you have experience relocating and might have some good advice here and some perspective on relocating when it affects an entire family rather than just yourself we don't really have the resources to keep the house here in case it doesn't work out we have a lovely home and I'm scared about losing that and what life will look like in the UK making the wrong decision so am I wanting it for the right reasons part of me thinks that if I lived somewhere where I was comfortable in my own language, closer to my family, and had the possibility of building a proper support network, I would feel happier, more like myself again.
30:33But am I being selfish and putting everything at risk? I worry about uprooting my husband and our children from the life they know, leaving a lovely home and potentially making a huge decision that we can't easily undo. My husband knows that moving is probably the only option by now because of how unhappy I am underneath it but I want it to be something that we can all look forward to doing, not just something that I'm making us do. I feel really guilty. I would rather put up with my own unhappiness than having to deal with his unhappiness if he doesn't enjoy life in the UK but then I don't know where to go from here.
31:07Thanks for reading this. I guess I'm not asking you to make the decision for me, although that would be lovely, but just some help in what steps to take to help put it all into perspective and would really value both of your opinions here. Thank you from a loyal Lufanian. Sarah?
31:22Anna Williamson:Oh gosh I mean this is always tricky isn't it I think when it comes to having a dual nationality relationship and we find this a lot more I'll be honest like I'm so lucky that Alex is happy living in England even though he's lived here since he was six but you know he's definitely had moments where he would like to try living in Italy and Sicily and as a family and I don't know how that would go if he really doubled down on that if I'm perfectly honest because I'm not ready to give that a try but it depends on how strongly he felt so I know a lot of couples and families do feel this I mean Lou you're you're in the middle of this too I know obviously you're you and Andrew are from the UK and thankfully well Irish yeah sorry Irish but then he's never lived it in his home country when he's been with me really right you're right and a A lot more families nowadays are a lot more fluid.
32:18Anna Williamson:You know, we are able to now work and live a lot more fluidly now. It doesn't really matter. It's like now we're working, we're doing exactly what we do, regardless of where we might be in the world. You know, technology enables that to happen. So I think a lot more people are trying that. I think it's really difficult when obviously you're a stalemate. I mean, my advice would be maybe try and look a bit more in the present and the short-term future. and you've tried something that perhaps you're at an inflection point, you can try something new, i.e. coming back to the UK, giving it a try. And again, if that doesn't work for you, you can always try again, you know.
32:55Anna Williamson:And it's like wherever we go. I mean, it's like you, Lou, you're in Dubai now. You might stay, you might not. I guess you'll figure that out in time that comes. Same with me. We might move to Italy at some point in our lives or not. We might come back. You know, and I think the pressure is... You're never leaving that village, darling. I'm not leaving this. I am not leaving this bloody house. Well, it's where you're happiest as well. I am. I'm so happy, exactly. And you're right, actually, with that. It's where you feel your roots and your stability is. And what I'm hearing is, from Sarah here, is that she's feeling a bit lonely and a bit out at sea and wanting that support network around her.
33:29I think that, listen, it's really tricky. Like, if I was you, I would definitely give it a go because you have been giving it a go in the Netherlands for quite a long time. and ultimately your underlying feeling is unhappiness and you know like we obviously relocated we were both very on board with that yeah you've got to be aligned haven't you yeah you haven't said if your husband is on board with it or not the first thing that I would eradicate about your worries is your children and like uprooting them one is two the other one is I think under six like honestly like kids I they're so I was having this conversation yesterday today about like my kids and how adaptable they are and how much they just thrive like wherever they are you could literally drop my kids anywhere and they'd be happy and I think that's a really important skill for for children to be to to thrive and flourish and be confident wherever they are and you only get that by putting them in different situations other than being in that same village school their whole life till they're 18 and those are the four walls essentially you know whereas I feel like my kids are quite cultured and they're very adaptable like so I firstly would not worry at all about uprooting your children like that would not even be a concern of mine like no no no mine I don't know anyone yeah I don't know many I mean you know
34:48Anna Williamson:you might get some teething problems like my mate you know Ro who went he moved to America you get the had the initial kind of missed the English friends and stuff but now at you know very quickly absorbed and thriving yeah when they're younger you don't even get that with friends I mean they go to the park and they made a best friend in five minutes like you know it's not really um like a big like that wouldn't be a big deal you haven't said whether your husband is happy to move or not I mean you touched on the fact that he's only ever been from that town and stuff and I I look if it was me I'd go for it but I try and go for it in a sense that perhaps you delay it slightly so you can save up a bit more in your pot of gold so that you don't have to sell your house initially in the Netherlands and that you can rent somewhere in England so that you do have that option to go back and then you know if you can do that for sort of six to twelve months that would be probably yeah the ideal situation I've always had the attitude well we can just go back and actually a prime example of that was when things kicked off here in the UAE and we just left and went back you know and the kids went back to their old school and life just was the same again and now we're back here and we've moved back into a different house here because we're renovating our other house but you have the options look and it's nice to have options and I recognize that not everybody is fortunate enough financially to have those options but I think if you can work it like you've already been living in the Netherlands now for like what's another six months or a year if you can kind of build up your pot of gold to enable you to have that options I think that would probably be a safer bet and also the other thing you touch on is like your support network work in England and I think sometimes we romanticize this being out of the country and you think that you'll move back to England and suddenly like you'll be seeing all your friends and your parents are going to be there but what you forget is that all of these people that you're thinking you're going to be surrounded by have lives of their own, which are busy.
36:49And so I think sometimes this notion of, well, I'll have this and that, and I'll be doing this with that friend and that, and my mom will be here there. And like, sometimes that is just a fantasy really in our minds and the actual reality of being back in England, where everyone is like hustling and working and busy and juggling and multitasking. like that might not actually be a true reflection of what it would be like when you are actually back there in the in the thick of it so I think that sometimes that that could come to bite you in the bum that kind of feeling of well it's going to be like this and this rose tinted glasses and I will say that like personally we left the UK for a lot of reasons I know also a lot of other people that have left the UK for a variety of reasons about what's going on in the UK I would personally think that at this point in time the Netherlands is like a better place to live but um but I don't know so I think that just I would do it like if I was you I'd do it something that you want to do I think you need to scratch the itch but definitely plan it and make your plan so that you can go back if you need to would be my advice I don't know unless you try it unless
38:04Anna Williamson:you try and and you say you might come back actually realize it's not for you and then go back but then there's no resentment in your marriage either because I think at the moment this what my concerns I'm just reading back through your message my concern is in your marriage this might continue to build as a resentment and a bit of a chasm between you two so I think yeah if you're able to afford that I think Lou makes a good good good case there for just planning for it but then planning for like a 12 months 18 months whatever it be and I think you're lucky as you say the kids are young enough for them to be adaptable they're not really in sort of I mean the oldest one is maybe in formal education but they adapt so quickly um but then at least you tried it I've got so many friends that have done this they've moved to Australia given it a try for a bit you know because one of them's from there hasn't worked out they've now come back to the UK you know I know people that aren't the other way around you know they've they've lived here then they've gone to New Zealand they've loved New Zealand and then they ended up staying there so I think you have to give each other the grace to try each other's home country and then and then you both you both then you might decide to live somewhere altogether completely different exactly so I would say give it a try but lay get your ducks in a row first.
39:06Let us know how you get on. We'd love an update. We do love an update and we rarely get updates. We do, Lou. We've got another message now
39:15Anna Williamson:from Anonymous. So from Sheila Viscock. Sheila Viscock. Sheila Viscock. Sheila Viscock. She loves cock. She loves cock. She loves cock. She loves cock. Is that it? Is that it? She loves cock. Love is cock. right hi ladies oh immature oh 80 i just love how immo gets it and knows it because she's done it we never get it because she wrote it babe i know i know i know that's what i mean but just sits there in her joy as we struggle um hi ladies 18 months on i've uh finally nearly caught up with all the old episodes well done listen to the back catalogue everybody you well done us um so i thought it was time to write in with my own story excellent please choose me your best porn star granny name Imo she's done quite well uh I know you love a poo story but how about a wee story oh okay we're open to it all I have the weakest bladder I swear it's the size of a thimble anyway a few months back I was driving home from work and I started to need a wee it's um only a 15 minute drive though so no problem I thought however it soon became apparent that there had been a bad accident at the traffic ground to a halt an hour later still crawling along at a snail's pace and nowhere near exit.
40:32Anna Williamson:My bladder now feels like it's going to burst at any moment. So I start scanning my car for a bottle, a carrier bag, anything, but with no joy. I then spot my daughter's umbrella. Desperate by this point, I try to open the umbrella between my legs to see if I can safely pee into it with the idea of then pouring the wee out of the window in an umbrella. I mean, I guess the waterproof bit. The combination of the umbrella handle and steering wheel are making it impossible. In desperation, I attempt to snap the handle off her umbrella, but I'm too weak and I decide to abandon that option. Umbrella discarded back in the footwell.
41:12Anna Williamson:I scan the car again. Then I remember the dog bed in the boot. Why did she just pull over on the hard shoulder? The next thing I remember, the dog bed in the boot. When the traffic next stops moving, I quickly put the handbrake on and climb through the back of the car, grab the cushion from the boot. I quickly crawl back, fold the cushion into a giant piss pad and place it underneath my arse. By now, about two hours have passed and I'm literally about to wet myself at any moment. I move along a bit further in the traffic and as soon as it stops again, I take my opportunity, leggings and thong down a bit, body warmer chucked across my lap to cover my vag from the car beside me and I finally start to wee when all of a sudden, bang!
41:53Anna Williamson:What the fuck was that? My wee automatically stops with Flo. I look at my rear view mirror to see the man in the truck behind me staring at me and gesturing. In all my haste to wee, I've left my poxy handbrake off and I've rolled back into him. I then have to redress myself, remove the piss-soaked pad from under my arse and get out of the car. My face is bright red. So embarrassing. So embarrassing. But I feel for her. We've both got bladder issues. My face is bright red. He then gets out too, laughing. Oh, thank God he's laughing. He clearly has worked out what I was doing and thankfully is sympathetic with me rather than cross.
42:32Anna Williamson:Oh, he's a nice man. We check for damage on the vehicles. All the while, he's still chuckling to himself. Grateful for no damage, I can get back into my car. But at this point, I realise the back of my trousers are very wet. I've somehow managed to get the wee all down me. So I then have to walk backwards to my door so he doesn't see the wet pack. She's reversing. Oh, God. I'm mortified. Safely back in my car, wet arse, still needing to finish my wee, and with zero dignity left, I pray for this traffic to clear. I finally meet to a point where I can safely pull onto the hard shoulder, and as is what I was wondering, and head to the bushes to finish.
43:08Anna Williamson:As I glance back, wet wipes in hand, I spot him watching me and laughing again. Ground, swallow me up now, please. Three hours later, I finally make it home to get my pissy clothes off, dog bed, swiftly chucked in the bin, and a car seat, which has also got wet, now needs a good clean. A shower has never been more needed to wash the day away. Lesson of the day, always carry a she-wee. Thanks for a great pod, ladies. Well, thank you for your message. Such a Luana story. Such a Luana story. Thank you, my loves. And remember, if you want to get in touch with us, you can email us, Luana at everythingluana.com.

43:49Anna Williamson:07521564640.
43:55oh this now we're on to some newsy bits so i hadn't heard of this um girl or this story till imo sent it there's a influencer she actually got quite a lot of followers nearly 1.5 million on tiktok called isabel lorna and she has launched a brand called agenda which is basically a posh filofax um like essentially it's a posh filofax yeah now there's been she's only 25 this girl she speaks about how she chose um not to go to uni in favor of working she's built this like um lovely audience but her content is mainly around like saving the pennies i think her her bio is like save the pennies and the portion by itself it's about saving pennies but also this sort of luxury living as well um aspirational isn't it yeah very much like work hard save money achieve your goals and enjoy expensive things which I can see why she's so popular because everything nowadays everything everyone nowadays wants all this expensive stuff and just expects it to land on their lap but she is kind of does this content which is very practical towards achieving those um goals she used to work in an amazon amazon warehouse she used to have a like a little thousand pound Ford Ka at 18 and now she's become this huge lifestyle influencer and off the back of this she's bought a house she's got like I looked at her profile a bit she's got Birkins and she's has got the Porsche she bought that in cash 97 and a half thousand pounds she paid for her Porsche and now she's turned that personal brand into a business which has accumulated in Agenda, which is a luxury leather organiser planner.
45:42It's kind of, it's quite good. I thought it was quite good. She, it's like a...
45:47Anna Williamson:I bloody love a filofax, if I'm honest with you. Do you know what? I saw this video and I thought, I'm going to get that for Anna for Christmas. Do you know what, babe? This is how well you know me. I watched that, watched her little demo video and I thought, I would quite like that for Christmas, actually. It's really good because within this sort of fancy filofax, first of all, the packaging's really nice it's it looks really luxury it looks lovely and then obviously it's like a ring binder folder thing but she's got all these different inserts it's like a clutch bag as well it is and you can put like your you can store your makeup in there your passport or your bank cards but then she does these inserts so you can get like a little whiteboard you can get a mirror you put your phone in there insert um i'm assuming you can put your phone where she put the charlotte Tilbury thing oh no there's the pouch there's also a pouch isn't there that comes with it so it's it's very I thought it was very creative and innovative and she's gone out she's invested her own money into this which is like she's 25 years old and that's always a risk exactly the launch was huge we know that we've invested our own money like we have our own business as in the one of productions and just by like we've we invest our own money mine and Lou's money in or any live events we do and everything and that's that's always a risk we don't know people are going to buy tickets and turn up and we run that we run the risk of that not working out yeah and listen I've always been my background is being a retail entrepreneur as people say and I've always bought things and sold things and there's always a risk in that and investing your own money um anyway 108 000 people signed up to this wait list before they even knew what the product was because they loved her so much sales reached 100 grand in 10 minutes 250 grand in an hour and she ended up turning over 400 000 pounds in six hours now there was then a lot of controversy surrounding this with the price tag so all together it's kind of around 300 350 quid if you want the binder and all the inserts and stuff but isn't the basic like 139 quid or something yeah but you need all the inside to make it worthwhile.
47:56And people were kind of eggy with her about this. So people said it's not worth the money that it's selling for. Fair enough. Then people started saying that she shouldn't be selling this product at this price point, like this kind of morality aspect, like because she's a money saving brand and it's contradictory that she's selling this£300 planner. Her message has always been about being financially sensible. So why is she now selling these expensive lifestyle products is she out of touch how does she you know so anyway well there
48:28Anna Williamson:was a lot of defense as well so yeah that was the big criticism that she got and then but then people came out to other on the other side lots of people came out to defend her as well yeah um to say you know isn't this exactly what she's been building towards you know she is a young entrepreneur that's as you say taking that punt with her own money um and and isn't that the point of being an influencer i would say you know you build up your audience you build up your loyal fan base that you know isn't that what kim kardashian has done her entire life like the og like with her huge following anything that she puts to market she has and it sells out and it's creating her billions because of her enormous loyal fan base um so so there were a lot of people that that then you know kicked off but then a lot of people that defended as well so essentially the the debate is is there a problem with creating a personal brand identity about not being able to afford a certain lifestyle and gaining an audience who are in that boat with you so that kind yeah we get that but then when you can afford that lifestyle releasing a product that perhaps feels disconnected from that audience and ultimately is 300 pounds for an agenda outrageous well I mean I'm gonna I love the fucking name agenda agenda I'm gonna pile in on this one first of all and this is just my opinion and I reckon we're probably aligned on this but again probably because we fit probably a little bit into this mold as well as in we know what it's like to not have anything and hustling and we are in positions in our life now where we have earned and are doing well and have successes but that doesn't come easy we've had many losses failures I speak for myself you know and the hustle is real only people only ever see the top line they only see that they don't see all the bullshit that goes on behind the scenes.
50:13Anna Williamson:So for me, I say good for her. She has done a very, very good strategy at building her audience. And I think it comes down to what we always say. If you don't like something, scroll on by. I think she's giving an opportunity and an option that if you want to buy this thing that she has created, why not? She didn't want to create a 10 pound, you know, diary. She wanted to create something that was aspirational. Nobody has, no one is forcing people to a cash point to buy it. I think, and I think particularly as women, we tear women down in particular that are aspirational and that are being boss bitches.
50:52Anna Williamson:And so I saw one of the TikToks that you sent us, Emma, because she's very good at giving us prep, guys. But to a very good journalist point around the Dyson dude has just relaunched a 400 pound toothbrush. You know, and again, he's giving... Got a camera on it. Got a camera on it. But again, it's giving an option to some, I don't want to spend£400 on a Dyson toothbrush, but somebody might want to. And the point is, all these things are on the market to make a choice of whether you want to afford it or not. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Also, I feel like this wasn't disconnected with her audience.
51:27Like it was her audience that sold this product out. Hello? And she's also selling the dream, isn't she? people from her 1.4 million pound that 1.4 million following signed up to this and of those people they bought it and it sold out so clearly it's not disconnected from her audience because I'd never heard of her I'd never heard of Agenda and she has actually which is even more credible is sold this product out to the audience that she's built up and curated over the years and I do think that we're always so ready to tear women down and you know what you know what it comes down to there's just a lot of jealousy and envy of success in life yeah there really really is and and you know what it's very much a british thing i and i don't want to england bash but it's very much a british mindset um you know you go to america and there's this real kind of like bars around people and success in dubai i can very much say it's it's very the same like this mindset of thriving and connecting yeah she's british very british and you know it's very much an english thing to build up and tear down we see our media do it constantly with celebrities and people we love the rise but we we thrive on the fall even more and it's a really horrendous fucking sick mindset to have and and it actually boils my piss and it's just a horrible horrible way to be is not it's not a way that I relate to at all well it's bullying isn't it as you say we
53:00Anna Williamson:have we we pull the puppet strings we we we're here on one hand I know I'm generalizing here but as you say there seems to be this attitude of no we should be aspiring for more you know we should you know we need to work hard we need to achieve oh no you've done too much exactly when you get there exactly when we get there people then want to tear it down and pick holes and I I'm with you on that. I'm getting, you know, it's especially for women. And I think for this girl, good on her, 25 years old. It's amazing. She has put her mind to something and she is growing a business and she's working with the industry that she's learning to understand and curate and monetize.
53:39Anna Williamson:And again, it comes down to all of it. It is jealousy. I'm with you, Lou. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you don't like her or what she stands for, unsubscribe to her and go and find somebody else. And I think, I feel for her because I don't know her. I don't know how she feels about this. But I feel for a young woman who is doing really well, who has now probably had Shine taken off something that she's created. No, do you know what? I think that she's a bloody genius. And I think she's thriving on this press because she's clearly smart. Well, we're going to buy it. She's clearly smart, right?
54:14And she will realize that any press is good press. this is brilliant press for her because she then has this wave of women that are like us and do you know what I thought she's not that much older than my little Dixie she's only you know nine years older than Dixie I would be so proud if this was Dixie that had achieved this so and I thought back you know when I was her age at 25 I was on The Apprentice I had like two successful businesses already that I was running so I had 30 employees like they're they're you you can't teach what she has in her right you can't you can't entrepreneurship that is just um it's just in you it's in your blood and i think good fucking luck to her when it restarts i'm buying one i've got some suggestions for her to make some new do you want me to buy you one immo do you want one would you like an agenda i think i think i'd quite like one would you like one i'd like her to do like a she did like a nice kind of suede one i'd like a suede burgundy why don't we all buy
55:20Anna Williamson:each other a combined we all get an agenda well i know isabel we would quite just because we've been gassing you up we would quite we've been promoing your product now yeah we're happy to pay for it yeah we're happy to pay for it i want to pay for it i want to support yeah support exactly but we'd quite like to actually get one i do have feedback she does need to put two little loops on the edge of a jende and then sell shoulder straps with them and i think that would be a really good addition to a different marker pen the pen was i know she got a bit of comments the whiteboard pen just needs to lux that up a little bit but you know what isn't that what you do you just you you keep tweaking the product you tweak this is it and improvements but i fucking congratulate her and you know what anyone that commented negatively and tore her down is an shame on you shame on you hogwart because it's unnecessary and it's just not necessary and in today's day and age like it's just i think it's fucking amazing at 25 that she's done this she's never been formally educated in any kind of business it's fucking in her it's bread in her and good on her go isabel team isabel agenda i wish you all the luck with your brand and you can go and buy another fucking portion now and you rev it and you fucking rev it and you ram it up those you ram it up the arses yeah and you know what this this will actually spur her on even more this type of feedback because it will it will team luanna are first in the queue for when you've restocked it so there you go burgundy suede please with a nice little shoulder strap interchangeable shoulder straps would be brilliant love it love it we'll get them all for team luanna right next new story as well oh this is quite interesting again we might have some interesting opinions and do you know what this is just fucking dumb fuck people I have no time for this show well this is it exactly so you guys might have seen this we'll just whiz through this one quickly because we've been chatting quite a while but Cat's Eye which is all part of this like K-pop thing it's a K-pop band this is it yeah so there's a big ticket drama that left a lot of parents fuming and a lot of kids upset so parents have criticised the handling of age restrictions after kids were reportedly refused entry to the standing section at cat size uk shows so cat size fans have been caught up in this ticketing row some of their parents claim the kids were turned away from the standing section um they're yeah a k-pop style band they rose to fame on the talent tv show dream academy they're huge worldwide got lots of younger fans and they've been doing a load of uk concerts now the issue centered on a rule stating that standing tickets were for fans aged 16 and can i just say that is a legal rule yeah that is any any concert you go to if you're standing it's normally 16 and plus right why is that because it's fucking dangerous dangerous because it gets rammed and you get crushed and it's crowded you do not want a little four-year-old standing there surrounded by a bunch of tall people over excited getting getting crushed overheating fainting yeah i mean it's fucking logic common sense but still stupid parents bought tickets which by the way clearly stated upon buying them this is an over 16 ticket only they still fucking bought them turned up and when they were a few century got the ass got the ass and we're all chanting let us in let us in lots of parents had realized the age limit hadn't realized the age limit applied uh saying nobody told us clearly enough well again it was on all the tickets it was on all the websites but also as well everywhere like in okay look i get it lots of people had bought tickets as birthday presents they traveled to attend concerts you know for aluana um in october we've got people coming from overseas who are coming to to see our shows and we can't wait so we get it but at the same so just as a point out there if you are under 16 guys then if you're bringing anyone you can't come into our show because you just can't you know it's alcohol it's adult content that kind of thing um so parents were then having to explain to their kids why they couldn't come in um so what do we think about this they were look understandably when you've got a bunch of excited children they're gonna be upset indigo is flying to amsterdam this weekend to go and see cat's eye with andrew is she yeah it was her birthday and i said to andrew i saw this this morning and i was like babe have you checked he was like yeah it's really clear you can't do standing if they're under 16 and i was like no he's got seats and she's got a meet and greet with cats has she oh my gosh she cried when we told her she's so excited that is so cool that's so cool i get look i i do get i get the frustration like the fucking stupid people that didn't read it wasn't even small print no i get as a parent when you're there in the moment and you have got your child upset and when you as the parent have fucked up and you haven't read something properly I do get it you're like shit you know and you will do anything you can to try and get in you'll be frustrated you'll lose your head you're dealing with an emotional kid it's it's not an ideal situation but it really is one of those points where you just go damn it next time I'm gonna have to really look at those that and it's no one else's fault other than yours and that is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow but unfortunately you made the mistake by not checking uh and you're just not gonna do it another time yeah you're not gonna do it another time it's like what happened did you see what happened in Belfast I think it was last year there was a concert in Belfast that was it was pitched as k-pop forever right so it was a k-pop thing but the parents who bought the tickets assumed it was k-pop demon hunters right so what obviously but there's only what like eight k-pop demon hunters songs so they did those but they also did a load of other k-pop songs and then all the parents were moaning that it wasn't k-pop demon hunters and it's like well it was never Pitched as K-pop demon hunters.
1:01:14Do you know what? It's just fucking dumb fuck people not reading shit and trying to blame someone else. It's my, it's just so.
1:01:19Anna Williamson:Blame culture. Suck it up buttercup as you say. Right, it's time now for It's the Widow of the Wee Car. Oh, you went high there, Lou. Oh, you went high. Because I need a wee. Go for it. Like you can go and use a dog bed if you've got one in the back of your car. Right, first of all, we've got Ella. she's nominated her dad I don't know if we've ever had a daughter dad combo before like it love his name Terry Terry Tezza she says hey Luanna adore your pod I recently went through a pretty horrendous breakup after being together six years and I'm now living back at my parents house and your podcast has been my lifeline I could never thank you enough for the comfort and friendship you've bought me when you don't even know me anyway now I'm back living with my parents I've learned that my dad has developed a grim habit in the last few years he has his own chair in the living room no one else sits in it and next to that chair is the windowsill with what he calls his bits jar this is a jar for all of the bits he finds on himself or that he picks off himself lint eyelashes skin nails mosquitoes he's killed it is vile the weirdest part about it is neither he nor my mum think it's weird.
1:02:37What the fuck? Absolutely repulsive and extremely weird. Bits jar. I wish you would have sent a picture.
1:02:45Anna Williamson:Oh, I'm delighted she has them. I'm off the back of a gastro bug. Okay, well, that is definitely weird. Let's have a look at what Tom says, nominating girlfriend Rosie. I'm enjoying these throwing everybody else under the bus ones, actually. I'm here for it. Hi, Luanna, nominating my girlfriend Rosie, who's a massive fan in the Hope She'll Hear This and stop because I find it odd. Rosie absolutely has to eat crisps. Oh, this is weird. Eat crisps in size order. She tips the whole packet out onto a plate, arranges them smallest to biggest and then eats them in order. It's so annoying because it takes her so long just to eat a ruddy packet of crisps.
1:03:26Anna Williamson:It's odd, right? That is odd. I would not have the patience if i want crisps i'm like i'm like you know truffing those crisps down i would not have the patience i would wonder rosie if if there is a touch of the tism going on here as well which uh which we're all for you know we are all in good company when it comes to the tism but that is i mean for me girls that's the weirdo of the week i think the bits jar wins for me oh imogen you're the deciding vote i've got questions on the crisps because i get it when it's like your own packet of crisps you can stick that on a plate but when you're like doing like a sharing bag no she's not getting a handful and then putting that handful on the plate or are you having to like how does it work i don't think she's sharing i think it's just like a pack of walkers grab oh i've got to run i've got a delivery oh hang on but i think the bits jar is weird okay so the bits jar is the weirdo of the week although rosie if you are listening babes i mean it is a bit weird honey but you know what we're not going to shame you because that's not what we do on this podcast no shame anyway can I just say that I'm not ranting this week because I'm really happy like I'm in the sunshine the vitamin d is giving is d and um yeah I've got the d and I just um loving I'm just loving life yeah but although I will just say in response to our new story that anyone that tore poor Isabel down is a twunt it's just unnecessary yeah just ask how it is just unnecessary so that is it well we are loving life yeah I have to admit we are loving life this week guys we're also still buzzing because we are full of the Luana love with our 8th anniversary we are romping towards our Luana the big party celebrating all of that I know the 10th we're going to have to really think about it on October the 3rd and also as we started just head over to doeverythingluana.com, sign up to our mailing list for the opportunity to be the first to know when something might launch.
