0:00We're going to talk about how you can now view your competitors Google ads for free. And this is cool because a couple of years ago, Facebook came out with its ad library and now Google has basically come out with the same thing. Have you seen this yet, Neil? I have. So it's adstransparency.google.com. Again, the URL is adstransparency.google.com. And that's how you can see your competitors' ads. But the only downside of this is you can't really see the keywords that they're bidding for, but you can see all the different ad variations. And it's pretty cool because you can select the time range.

0:39And then from the time range, it could be past present. And it can go back many years, which is also really cool. Then you can pick where you want, whether the ads are United States or Brazil. I'm in Brazil right now. So that's top of mine or India or any country, or you can just pick anywhere. And I'll show you from a global standpoint, then you can pick which format, whether it's an image, a text, or a video ad, and you put in the URL and boom, you're off into the races. And with the ads, you can also sort of buy all topics or specifically political ads as well, which I don't think the political ads apply to most of us.

1:15But nonetheless, it's really cool because you can see the ad copy literally for pretty much any business that's advertising Google. Can't see the keywords that they're going after. And you can't see specific campaign settings, but you can see at least the ad copy that they're running. Let's pick a brand here. So I'm going to pull it up. Those of you that are following us on YouTube, if not, you should, you should be because we're growing a lot faster on YouTube, by the way, now. And it's cool stuff. And you can see our beautiful faces. So anyway, this is adstransparency.google.com. And I put it in, I put in Nike.

1:45And so one, you can see they're a verified advertiser. And you can see all the different display ads they have here. You can see also they're using dynamic insertion. So, oh, okay, that's a little peek into their strategy. They're using dynamic insertion. Not that it's like anything groundbreaking, but it's cool to understand that they're using that. And they'll show you a lot. Like Nike has roughly 4 ,000 ads that they're running. And Google will tell you roughly how many ads. So like on my screen with Nike, I also pop that in there too just so I can see on my end. And I put anywhere, so not just United States.

2:18But literally, they just keep showing you the ads and you keep scrolling and it's more and more. And it's literally never ending, but it'll give you a ton of ideas. The key is to make sure you're looking at the verified ad accounts. And the reason this is important is with certain brands, like let's say eBay, there's a lot of people that try to run ads on using ebay.com, even if they're not allowed to or whatnot. So you want to make sure you're looking at the verified accounts. Yeah. A couple of things I'll add here too. If I'm a shoe brand and I've got some money, I think, let's say I'm an Adidas, for example, I might say, oh, it's really interesting.

2:50They're bidding on a lot of brands in terms of players or teams. So FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Jason Tatum, right? And then other celebrities. And you can see they're running app install ads. They're selling jerseys. They have different types of funnels that they're driving people into. And I just think it's really interesting. But you can see there clearly is some type of celebrity or team strategy here. And it isn't so much a broad thing. And so it's like, oh, wow, they do a lot of collaborations. How can we do something similar to this in the future? if you want to even consider doing something like that.

3:22You know, what's interesting, Neil, I put in some agencies, I put in your MP digital India. And usually for agencies, a lot of them, it's not the agency ads, it's just them running ads for their clients through their ad account. So that's a pretty commonplace thing. So yeah, the other cool feature, I wish they added, but they didn't, right. So we talked about you can't really see what brand terms are going after. But like in this Nike example, you can see if they're having keywords within their copy, Like they may have a basketball player's name. So you know they're bidding off for that person's name.

3:54But the one thing that you can't do, and other than seeing the keywords, which I wish they showed, the other thing you can't do is you can't click on the ad and go to the landing page. I wish you could do that as well. Are you sure? You can't. Try it. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. It's not like Facebook where you actually can. It's not as good as Facebook's. Keep in mind, this is relatively new. I think it's been around for a little bit, I think, right? Or is it brand new? I don't know how old it is. Yeah, I was told about it recently, but more people are talking about it now. So I don't know if this has just been like hidden.

4:29But anyway, better late than never, everyone. Anything else from you, Neil? Now make sure you check it out, astransparency.google.com. It'll give you some insights on your competition. All right, five stars, everyone. Five stars goes a long way. Thank you so much. See you later.
