Let's start leveling up your marketing knowledge with your instructors, Neil Patel and Eric Su. We're going to talk about practical chat GPT uses for business because we have said in the past, everyone's talking about chat GPT, but where is the real practical business utility? And we're going to give you some examples today. So one thing that we do is very simple. We have an industry learnings channel in our Slack for my ad agency, Single Grain.
0:40And on Fridays, we basically pull from a handful of newsletters and websites such as Stack Marketer or Search Engine Land or whatever. And we pull the top five pieces of news and we will share the headlines. And so if I'm just looking at our Slack over here, I'm actually going to share my screen. Those of you that follow us on YouTube and take a look over here. So you can see industry learnings. So it says using AI, we analyze 65 latest headlines from search engine land, search engine journal, blah, blah, blah. And you can see what's trending. So trend one, conversational AI, shift in focus for Google.
1:14And so people can pull from this. Okay. So that's Friday. And then on Mondays, we pull from marketing school. So you can see there's an icon with myself and Neil's head. And we just shared the seven episodes in the last seven days and people can pull from that if they want. So that's that. Another practical example is chat GPT can end up producing contracts for you on the fly. You can also input, let's say podcasts is a few hours long and you can be like, all right, here's a transcript, digest this and tell me the main points that people need to get out of for a summary. You can actually input a lot of data in there too.
1:49If you're interested in selling courses, that's a great way to figure out, all right, what are the most popular sections that people should focus on? My favorite when it comes to chat GPT is it helping you summarize where your team should really learn when it comes to like a new marketing strategy or tactic, but it can almost be used for anything in business, like literally NDAs and contracts or whatnot. Now I wouldn't recommend that you just go and you sign off on them right before recording this podcast. I was doing a podcast with a guy named Sean Mike. And Sean Mike was telling me how he uses chat GPT for legal docs, but what he does, and this saves him quite a bit of money.
2:30You can have them produce the contracts for you and then send it to a lawyer to review. So they're saving a lot of money because they're going in and just modifying it versus creating it from scratch. Yeah. And a lot of lawyers, they like it when you give them a template to work off of. So my cousin, who's a lawyer in the early days of business, when I didn't have a lot of money, you go to your cousins for legal help, right? And he would basically say, look, if you have a template, this is going to save a lot of time. And I'd always go scour the web for templates. Now, because ChatGPT is pulling from billions of data points, you can just basically use that.
3:04And so that's the whole idea. And everything this is overarching under right now is time savings. I'll give you another example. And so I remember back in the day when I was first starting consulting, ad agency, whatever you want to call it, I would reach out to leads and I would come up with insights, I'll look at a website for 20 to 30 minutes or so. And I'll be like, okay, what are the top three things this website could be doing? Reach out to a bunch of people cold. And I would say, I have three insights for a company name or whatever. Now you can do that in chat GPT. And first, you know, we're messing around with this a little bit.
3:33I was playing around with this and I was like, okay, how can we make this actually stand out? And we've actually gotten it to the point now where the headline is just like, you know, company name, you know, custom insights or whatever. Right. And the three insights that are in there are actually very specific. So it talks about, Hey, like you should be doing, you should be thinking about not only just creating content, but industry unique content in this format. And here's an example of someone that's doing it and it's a legit example. And so you can actually for your BDRs now, they can actually use chat GPT and they can reach out at scale and provide customized insights.
4:05I think we've gotten to the point now where it's ready for prime time. And two more examples that we use chat GPT for internally, you can end up inputting content in there and you can end up translating. I believe it is 95 different languages, which works out really well for us, especially if you're trying to expand internationally with your content or your marketing more so. You need to transcribe and translate your content so that way it's adapted to the local markets. But what's cool is if you use ChatGPT, it's not perfect, but it saves you a lot of time. And instead of people charging us per word, they just charge us to review the work from ChatGPT and they modify it.
4:41and we found the quality to be very, very similar to having someone manually do it. But now we're A, spending less, and B, our output is much more, so we're getting the turnaround much faster, which is allowing us to grow our traffic quicker. Another thing that we love ChatGPT for is personalized notes. So imagine if you start sending your customers personalized notes. They love it. Problem with personalized notes? It takes a long time to write them. Through ChatGPT, you can whip out a lot of personalized notes and it cranks it out. It's good. You can even tell them like the tone of voice. And, you know, if you want humor and all those types of things integrated and you whip it out, send it to people, it helps with retention.
5:21Boom. And you know what? You can layer chat GPT. And then we have a friend named Jesse who has this company called audience.co. And basically it's handwritten robotic notes. So you can use AI to have a robot write notes at scale. It can plug in with Zapier. You can plug it in with your CRM and you can do it all at scale. There you go. I I got two examples here and then we can get out of here for this one, but podcasting content. We've given this example in the past, but if you haven't heard it, this podcast, we use Riverside, which will basically use AI to create a transcription. Then that transcription is tossed into chat GPT.
5:55And we asked chat GPT to create a blog post with headers. And it makes a, usually it'll make a 96 to 99 % unique piece of content. And then we'll have our editor come in, they'll edit it, they'll add statistics, they'll add links, they'll add trends, They'll add images and things like that. But that basically cuts down our time to creating a blog post by about 80%. And you just save a lot of time and you save a lot of money as well. That's one example. The other example is on client calls. And so we use a sales intelligence tool called Gong, but we also happen to use Gong for client calls as well.
6:25So every one of our client calls is recorded in Gong and we can use ChatGPT to detect the sentiment of the call and also summarize the call. Once we detect the sentiment of the call, we rate it one through 10, 10 being best. Anything that is a nine or 10 is green. So think of traffic lights. So green, yellow, red. Yellow would be anywhere from a seven to eight. And then anything, a six and below is a red. And so we'll automatically record this into a spreadsheet every single week the client calls. And so we can see over time each week, if a client is red three weeks in a row or yellow three weeks in a row, we have to do something about it.
6:57Nobody can hide. We just get in front of what reality is and we confront it and we figure out how we can do a better job for our clients. So a million different ways to play around with this. We just wanted to give you some examples. Hopefully that was helpful.
