In short
Amy Childs discusses her wedding(s), becoming a mother of four (including twins), and especially her regrets about cosmetic surgery—starting with a boob job at 17 and later getting addicted to procedures like lip fillers and Botox. She also touches on postpartum body changes, her mother’s severe heart attack, weight-loss “skinny jab” scrutiny, and family/relationship strain from sleep deprivation.
Guests
The episode is hosted by Louise (co-host). Additional guest segment features “Zoe East,” who tells a “fail” story about her daughter Inka deleting a WhatsApp message about a birthday party, leading to an aggressive reply that went viral on BBC Radio and Instagram.

Was it not your fault? Zoe East. my fail ended up on the radio on the radio oh my god this is going to be good to put my tea down for this story right i was upstairs in my bedroom had my phone a whatsapp a whatsapp message pinged up and it was a birthday party invite to my daughter she's six i replied saying thank you so much yeah inca would love to come that would be lovely thank you put my phone away thought nothing of it.
2:44In the meantime, Inka is on my laptop doing Numbots. My WhatsApp is on my laptop. So it pings up and she sees it on my laptop and she can read. So she saw this and this particular day at school, she had a fallout with this girl. The girl whose party it was. Yes. So Inka managed to delete my message. And then she writes her own message, which was very aggressive and just said, I am not coming to this party. But then loads of angry faces. In the meantime, another mum replies, seen the message. Another mum replies saying, we'll be there. Thanks so much. Inca replies again, saying, I'm not coming because you were playing with Gogi in the playground.
3:33I think she meant Georgie. And I didn't realise this was happening and then other messages were coming in from the other parents saying yeah of course we'd love to be there and so how did it come about going on the radio then it was on radio too and the only reason I know that is because I had loads of messages on Instagram saying oh I've just heard your story on the radio about Inca going into your whatsapp and I was like oh my god so then I just went into BBC sounds and just listened to it and they did obviously I told my daughter off But there was a part of me that was like, I found it quite funny.
4:06And I was thinking, well, there's my fail this week. Every cloud. Yeah. But the comments on the reel were hilarious in itself. You know, people were actually saying, you know, be more Inca. And she won't necessarily realize, well, she won't realize that it's actually gone to all the other mums for them to read and stuff like that. She'll just be thinking, you know what? I actually don't want to go to it. And the innocence in it is so endearing, isn't it? Yeah, I know. I know. Bless her. she's um I've always said she'll either end up being a multi-millionaire or she'll be in prison there is no in between anyone tell me about your fails uh well I've my fail is again I would love some um support on this one and some help on it because this is something that haven't faced before oh okay I don't know is it a fail I don't know but I would love people to comment on youtube about this and give me advice yeah um so screen time phones are quite you know everyone's got different opinions on it yeah so my opinion on it is my nine-year-old who is nearly 10 um he's like my some of my friends have got phones bradley basically had got the my work phone and he'd been like he'd sneaked the phone upstairs and my husband found the phone the next day and was like why have you brought the phone upstairs and what were you watching because bradley had been really tired for a couple of days on a morning so i was horrified because i was like he shouldn't at age nine he shouldn't be getting a phone no and and then he said to my husband all my friends have got mobile phones but you're allowed to watch i said to bradley when you go to secondary school we can talk about he's in year five like he doesn't need a phone but then am i being a bit narrow-minded i mean i don't think so i mean it is a bit of a it's a very sensitive subject you know we're all parents are navigating it we're all trying to navigate it and it's very difficult when at the moment we don't have any proper laws or restrictions or regulations in place and they see other kids with phones and that's that's a difficult bit yeah and that's like when they see other kids with phones well they've got one so why can't i have one and then it's like the parents the bad guy and that's exactly what bradley said like oh my friends have all got mobile phones and i'm like hold on a second firstly who's buying you a phone like he's too young to understand how expensive they are so i get bradley a phone he walks to school someone goes past goes past him and nicks it it's then going to be my problem to try and replace it for him and deal with the trauma and deal with that um because they don't have that understanding i just wish somebody could say listen kids aren't allowed phones until they're 13 or if they have it you know just a phone like social media 16 like there needs to be then we understand as parents that we know we're doing the right thing.
6:45So we're all on the same page. Yeah. I mean, you know, you could say with phones now and parents, there is, wait for it, drum roll, there's no parental guidance. Oh, Louise, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thanks very much. But like, you know, back in our day, there was like one house phone. No, we had two because I remember whenever my sister was on the phone, I'd pick up the other receiver and I'd listen to her phone call. And you'd have to breathe really quietly. I used to get like a towel or something and put it over the mouthpiece of it. Otherwise, my brother would be like, Hannah. Yeah. And then you'd have to stop speaking before 60 minutes because then it was free.
7:20Do you want to go home and your answering mission would be flickering? Oh, if you went on holiday or speaking. That's what it was. Hiya, Hannah. It's Nina. Are you playing? But I actually miss those days. I miss those days. Or being able to slam the phone down if you're really angry. Yeah. Just like, yeah, I'm not coming out anyway. Dush. Whereas now it's like, you know, you can't really, with the mobile phone. not really the same effect i know and the thing is now people i've got like a watch if someone rings me like if my husband rings me i can't be like oh i didn't see it no it's because it's he knows it rings on my watch and i have my phone with me at all times yeah our phone's behind our pillows right now yeah i know like yeah every as soon as we finish recording the first thing we both do is pick our phones up and it's not the school call it's the school that we're checking and worrying that there's a problem because they're not going to ring our partners um but i do remember Back in the day, I used to love listening to conversations and my brother would be on the phone and I would always pick it up and be like, oh, and then to see if there's anything juicy and I could grass on him and tell my parents.
8:24There was a time where both my sister and I were dating a guy called Lee and the house phone would go and my mum would pick up and she'd be like, oh, hi, Lee. And my sister would be like, which one? Which one? Is it mine? And it was always my sisters, Lee. And I used to get really upset. And I think that's why I listened to their phone calls. Did you have a fight with your sister growing up? Because that must be. Oh, God, yeah. Did you? Oh, God, yeah. I can't imagine the dynamic with two girls. Oh, no, we did. Like clothes, makeup. Because you're both the same height, everything. I mean, we're so close.
9:00You know how close we are. But yeah, two teenagers. I remember once slamming the door in her face. Did you? Like really slamming? I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to Louise I did mean to she was like standing outside my bedroom door and I just slammed the bedroom door to be fair she was probably too close to the door and yeah got her in the face but then you know I was sitting on the toilet minding my own business and she came in and did that fake punching like missing me by like a millimetre and then actually did punch me and I had a bleeding nose whilst I was trying to work my arse that was nice and that was proper lush and did you have like did your cycles like your periods and stuff align together because i'm just thinking from your mum's point of view and she was going through the menopause and she had two teenage daughters with their periods yeah and did you were you all in sync yeah because they say that's the thing isn't it that you'd be in sync with sisters and mums and i remember once she took the last tampon i was fuming before amazon before delivery oh god you couldn't just order them you had to like actually go to the shop physically go yeah or use loo roll when shops would be open at like not the hours that they're open now i was feeling she's the woman who quite literally defined an era of british tv introducing us to the vajazzle and making shut up a national catchphrase please welcome the legendary amy Charles.
10:27Woo! Girls, thank you. Hello. What a lovely introductory to me. Thank you. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you, lovely. And you're looking gorgeous. Thank you very much. We're white. Stunning. Just got married. Yeah. Yeah, got married three weeks ago. Oh, congratulations. Was it all it was? Three weeks ago. Yeah, three weeks ago. How was it?
10:46Amy Childs:It was so, honestly, we had such a lovely day. What it is, I've actually got two weddings. Yeah. So. Sorry, can we just look at that rock on your finger? Boy done good. I was always saying, But he did take a little while to propose to me. So, you know, he said, you know, you're going to wait. But no, he'd done lovely. But no, the wedding was really lovely. It just was, it went so quickly. It does. Describe it to us like what was the vibe of the day. So we got up in the morning and we sat at Claridge's, which was lovely. It was there for three days. Oh, did you? This was our legal wedding. And I think people, I'm going to go on to that in a minute, but I've had people go and go to me, is that it, Amy?
11:22Amy Childs:Was that your wedding? Oh. Because I'm having two weddings. So I've got my next wedding in September with all of our friends and family. Oh, lovely. And is that because you're getting married abroad? Because we're doing a big wedding abroad. I think that totally makes sense. I like that. I kind of wish I'd done that. I really wish I'd had two because it does go really quickly. It does. And I just felt, so the minute I woke up, I felt a little bit overwhelmed. I wanted the kids to, Millie didn't want to get dressed. She didn't put the bridesmaid's dress on. Polly didn't really like the bridesmaid's dress.
11:50Amy Childs:That was literally at 10 o 'clock. We was getting married at 12 o 'clock. We then got married at Marleybone. Lovely. So we got married in a room, and I found out yesterday that Paul McCartney got married in the same room. Did he? Shut up. Shut up. It was good. It was good. He got married, but yeah, it was nice. And then we then went to a little Italian around the corner. I was in a big wedding dress. It's a big wedding dress. It was like, yeah, like a wedding dress. Went to a little Italian, all the family. I got all spaghetti down me. The dress needs a dry clean, girls, by the way. Oh, God. All spaghetti was down.
12:23Amy Childs:But it was just, I'm never going to forget this day, you know. And I think my wedding in September is going to be amazing. It's going to be beautiful. But that meant so much to me. Of course. My London wedding was a lot. And did you have drama with your wedding dress or something? Didn't have a wedding dress two days before. Why? What happened? The stylist come round and he's a lovely friend of mine. And do you know what? It was actually, I'm actually going to blame it on myself. Because I'm a little bit laid back. I'm a very laid back. I thought the dress is going to be lovely. The dress wasn't for me.
12:50Amy Childs:and I left and I thought it's going to be amazing when I tried the dress on I thought don't like it two days before so this was this was a week before and then I then the next day I was like okay I'll find something I literally did wait two days before I went to a lovely little boutique in Essex in Jigwell and I do rely on Deborah a lot the dressmaker and she found me a dress and I walked in there and it was the dress wow so yeah were you not stressed from that Very chilled person, me. I think I'm a little bit too chilled. That's what my husband says. Husband now. Oh, your husband. My husband.
13:23Amy Childs:Nice to say that. Oh, I love that. And Bill says to me, you are very relaxed. I think maybe I'm too relaxed. But now I've got the wedding in Spain in September, which we still, it's not long. No. I haven't got a dress for that wedding. And I do want four dresses. But you spilled spaghetti on yours. Don't put your dress in the washing machine. I did that with my wedding dress. Did you? And the whole thing shrunk. Did you not go to dry cleaners? No. I didn't. No. I was like, I'm not spending that much money on dry clean. Is it all right? Yeah, I would put it in the washing machine. Oh, my God. Big mistake.
13:50Oh, no. Don't, don't, don't recommend it. Did you have any bridesmaids?
13:55Amy Childs:So Polly, Millie. So Polly, Millie and... And they're yours daughters? They're my daughters. So quickly, so I've got Polly, she's nine. Richie, who is seven. And I've got the twins, Billy and Millie. So she's actually Amelia, but I actually preferred Millie. Billy and Millie, the twins. Oh, that's really cute. Billy and Millie. And then your husband's Billy. as well but you're calling Bill. Okay so can I just tell you something so my dad's Bill, my husband's Bill, my brother's Bill, my granddad's Bill, my little boy's Bill, my nephew's Bill. And then you have another baby in call that Bill as well.
14:29So I just thought, do you know what? What's up? Definitely not Billy No Mates. I don't know why, I don't know why, I just don't know and then when I met Bill in London then I went, what's your name, Bill? I thought, oh no, I can't meet a Bill. And what's your thoughts on your daughter or your kids having surgery and stuff? How old were you when you had your first bit of surgery? So I was 17.

16:38Amy Childs:I had a boob job. Yeah. And honestly, like, if I, and that's the thing, if I've got to go through this with poly, I really hope I haven't got to go through this poly. I haven't got to. But my big thing in my life has been surgery regrets massively. I regret having surgery so young. Do you? Would you have had it in your 20s? Would you have had a boob job in your 20s? I definitely would have had it in my 20s, but I was like, so what happened to me, I stopped playing with dolls at 13, and then I grew up so quickly like I don't know what it was then I had a few boy like boyfriend I don't know what happened mum and dad you know they've all they put me they put me into a private school for all of my life I've been private educated from four to 16 um I was in a really lovely school I was just and then all of a sudden I don't know what happened and then I was reading these magazines I was like no I want my boobs like that I had no boobs I literally was a double weight flat chested um and yeah when I got to 17 saved all my money up and I said mum I said you know I've got my boobs done mum was a bit like you know hesitant like really do you want this I said mum I do you know I've really but the thing about mum as well we did go to the best surgeon in the UK you know she didn't want me to have it done but we went there and and I was still growing at the end of the day the bottom line of this all my body was still growing yeah 18 you know it was a week before I was 18 so literally 18 had these big double d's we weren't double d's They was like D, but I was so flat chested.
18:04Did you like them when you first had them done? Loved them. That's good, that's good. Yeah, good.
18:08Amy Childs:You know, I used to, you know, go, you know, to these under-18, you know, like before, back in the day, like under-18 nightclub. And I used to fill my chicken, I used to fill with chicken fillets in my bra. Oh, yes, chicken fillets. I was so insecure. I had those, yeah. And I remember going to the sugar hut, right? I had so many chicken fillets in. I got one and I literally got one and just threw them up, right? And it stuck on the wall. No. And I went there the week, the next week, and it was still there, like my two chicken fillets. So technically, I do regret having, it was so funny. I do regret having Sedgehog's so young, but I was so insecure with my boobs.
18:42Amy Childs:Because I was so, I literally, I was literally pigeon-chest. Just anyone watching or listening, just chicken fillets are, it's like a silicone, you stuff it in your bra and it looks like a chicken fillet. It's like a gel, sometimes a gel, the gel, and then literally just stuck to. makes your boobs like literally had such a flashback then because it used to be like you'd go out with the girls and be like oh my god your boobs look amazing we've got your chicken fillets in yeah it's like yeah or then you'd meet a guy and you'd have to like quickly shuffle them out I know and so they didn't see it when my uh my nana passed away years ago and her requirement like when she was laid to rest she wanted a chicken fillets in she did she did oh my god I love that did you do it yeah my mum was tonguing her hair in like a coffin and stuff and she had chicken fillets no Yeah, you just think, like...
19:29Wow, we still want to look good even when we're dead. We still want to look good even when we're not here. Wow. But that was such a thing, wasn't it, when we were teenagers? The chicken fillets, I know.
19:37Amy Childs:But I'm talking that I had, like, three chicken fillets in. That's how much I had. I had no boobs. And I had, like, pigeon chest. So I looked, there was nothing there. Did you get any, like, comments from boys? At school I did. From girls and boys? No, just boys at school. Bastards. And it was a really lovely school. And I just, yeah, just basically, oh, she ain't got no boobs. I don't know. I just, I can't even really remember. but having a daughter I'm like I just hope Polly ain't gonna go through it but then what happened to me then done tell we and then when you're in this such massive tv show because when it first come out I can tell you it was just everywhere and I had all these clinics going to me can we give you free voodra by me we'll give you this whatever and I was like brilliant this is this is what this is what I'm all about so then 22 that was it I went even bigger so I just dyed these d boobs and then at one point I was like a double f so I was so tiny in these massive boobs it was the look at the time yeah it was that big look the massive lips oh that was another thing then I went on to the lip so like I literally messed myself massively in my 20s completely so what have you had done then so I had my lips done I then got addicted to cosmic surgery like I generally did it's only when I got to about 20 this before I had poly 25 I looked in the mirror my dad said to me you're like a freak oh gosh and what would you have done at that point but did you Do you know what I've never had done?
20:53Amy Childs:I've never had my cheeks done. I've never had my, I've always obviously had my lips done, but I've never had cheek implants. I've never had no, nothing like chin filler. So it was just lips and boobs? It was just lips and boobs, you know, obviously a bit of Botox. Yeah. But what did you feel when he said that? That must have been, did you agree? No, but I think in the end, I looked in the mirror and I thought, I thought I just looked so good. And it's only when I look back now, I'm going to show you some pictures. I thought, Amy, what on earth did you look like? and I've actually showed Polly these pictures as well I've actually said to Polly that's what mum used to look like she goes God the state of view it's true I'm so glad she sees this because if she ever did want to have surgery when she's old I'll go look look what happened to your mum you know I've documented all of it you know I did a BBC One show about my surgery regrets you know yeah yeah but look at the time you think you look amazing and generally you actually really don't but like all the other girls in Essex at the time until we were getting the same thing I look probably the worst one I had the biggest lips I think you look amazing by the way.
21:49Thank you honey. And just saying with four kids you look unreal. Yeah you look phenomenal. And how are you now with your body now like postpartum like after kids like we talked earlier before we started recording about our tummies and how they're all like.
22:00Amy Childs:Oh yeah of course yeah I've got the I've got everything I've got the so with the twins I had to have emergency c-section. I was already to go natural girls you know I had two natural births with Polly and Rich so basically the nurse said to me you've had two natural births you're having twins you can just go natural again. Oh you're like of course I can thanks. Hindsight's an amazing thing by the way girls yeah looking back at it now why don't you have a c-section um so basically i was in a bit of yeah so so i billy was head down twin one head down the perfect amy ready to go sat there and they've checked me with the doctor then i've had 20 midwives come in i thought this what's going on now so basically the cold was coming away from billy's it's coming away from him so if i'd have had a home dangerous it's it's called a prolapse cold it's yeah it happens three percent three percent of it's what happened so you'd had so so basically if i had a home birth the baby wouldn't wouldn't have survived oh my gosh so after i saw like i did see like a cancer after because i was really affected by it because he would he would never have made it oh my god so basically the midwife said to me amy just so you know we've got the babies we've got the babies cold i've got it you need a regular c-section oh my god after you've just given birth to one baby so now this is like literally twins so now i've got head down i mean labor i've got labor pain as in like you'd You'd had the first baby.
23:12Amy Childs:No, so you're literally like about to give birth. About to give birth, literally. And then I said, I've got contractions. And then they've checked me and then they're doing all this, you know, you just know, don't you? They're all doing it. And I'm going, the baby all right? All good, you know? Me and Bill are sitting there. And I'm saying to Bill, come on, I said, I've got a seco tonight. Like, you know, and the baby's come. And all of a sudden, it just went from like, it was like really traumatic. Like they basically had this, I've got the baby's called. And that emergency section, this was at 7 o 'clock.
23:36Amy Childs:He was born at 7.01. Oh, my gosh. they got him out quickly they got him out 701 and then 702 meals come oh my gosh so yeah i didn't even know they could do that quickly well it was one minute that's how quick it was wow bill's gonna pass out i'm gonna come bill you ain't got passed down i thought what are you like he just was useless in the end like he's just gonna fall because it was so traumatic and i look back now and it just and i was like really being strong and then all of a sudden like being cut open so going back to that like I've got the c-section scar like the over fault overhanging yeah yeah I was really happy with Polly and Richie like I didn't want any more children then I met Bill who was the love of my life and he said to me you know I'm 40 and I'd love a baby one day I thought I can't I couldn't think of anything worse you know I've got my kids you know I'm really happy and then I thought okay I said to mum I said mum you know I think Bill would like a baby one day obviously it was with Bill a year and a half and I thought okay I took the coil out I thought oh you know one would be fine and it went it was twins when you went for the scan did you have any what week did you have your scan did you have any inclination so an early scan at 5 weeks so with poly it actually took me 2.5 years to have poly and I was about to go through IVF and I went to Harley Street and this amazing doctor said to me I'm going to put you on Clomid because I don't think you're ovulating so we checked my ovaries and actually I wasn't ovulating and then that month I was actually pregnant with Polly.
25:03Amy Childs:So all it was was I was inovulating. They put me on Clomid, so then I had Polly, my miracle child. Is she my favourite child? I think she is. Is that because she's your favourite? I think she's my first one and she's just, honestly, it was just the most amazing thing being pregnant because I really did so much and two and a half years, it was a long time really. So when she was born then, were you already split up with her father? Yes. Oh, okay. Yeah, he really, yeah, it wasn't. Yeah, bless you, that must have been really hard. It was hard. And it was my mum. But my mum basically moved in, mum and dad.
25:34Amy Childs:And then we was all together. So he's never met Polly? No. Wow. Does she ask any questions? Sorry, no, he has met Polly. But do you know what? I never, ever speak about, I don't ever speak about Polly's dad. So I'm not going to be on here speaking about him. It's because of Polly, do you know what I mean? She's going to grow up one day and she's going to say to me, mum, who is my dad? But the minute she doesn't know anything about her dad, she thinks her dad's my bill. so it's been tough it really has it's hard it was really tough you know but I think with me I wanted it so much and all I wanted I had everything in my life you know I was you know in the public eye I was filming you know I was financially stable I generally was you know I had good money that's always the hardest bit when you think how am I going to afford it if you're on like a single income yeah like the average person would be like I literally I can't I'm gonna have to move in with my parents exactly yeah they moved in with me i thought i said mama you gotta help me you know which is lovely yeah what year was she born she was born 2017 which is when you got the award for mom of the year so i got mom of the year yeah and that's you must have been like yes come on yeah it was lovely to get that award yeah i don't know if i had mom of the year not gonna lie to you i don't think i'm mom of the year but look i do my best yeah i win every day we're all we're we're all winging it every day that is literally winging it every day it's hard you know and polly now she's nine she's like she honestly she's amazing she struggles at school she's severely dyslexic right so we've got the diagnosis i'm dyslexic yeah so she's severely dyslexic so she got diagnosed at five which when i look at polly it's like looking at me she's very similar to me you know we do struggle with our words and we get our words like mumble jumble she tries the hardest like at school i always tried my hardest like we are the same child i'm so honestly i'm so proud of her and I you know I really am she's a she's amazing what was the jump like from two to then having yeah it was yeah it was tough that that jump was tough let me go back to when they told me it was twins yeah the five-week scan they've obviously done my scan they said oh there's two sacks there I was like oh lovely like that thinking she said but that actually means it could be twins and I thought oh no she's got it wrong so then I said well she but she said but Sometimes what happens, one twin will just go.
27:46Amy Childs:Is it called twin syndrome? Right. One can just disappear. It's actually quite common, really. So I've gone on holiday with Bill, and I said, Bill, just really hope that, it sounds awful to say, that I would like just one, I just need one, because I don't think I could handle two. Yep, they was twins. At the nine-week scan, congratulations, it's twins, lovely. Oh, my God. So I got out of the room, and I was thrown up. Not because I had that, because I think I just was so nervous. It was the fear. It was the fear of having the twins. They are amazing, like, honestly. But it is really tough with twins.
28:18Amy Childs:If I would have had the twins first, would I have had any more children? Absolutely not. Yeah. I'd actually love to know, anyone at home watching this, if they could comment on YouTube, like, the jump that they've gone from two to four twins, like, triplets. Or which you found hardest, where they're having, like, single babies. Yeah, I'd love to know. Also, can we just say, why is everyone having twins, by the way, now? Do you not think that everyone's actually having twins? I do. There definitely are more twins around. back in the day there was never twin no but is that because of IVF I didn't have IVF no no no no but I mean that's what it is yeah cool definitely but all of my friends they've not had IVF oh really it's something in the Essex water maybe it's something in the Essex water so girls if you want to have a baby be careful it's not going to be twins oh I'm done babe shop's closed yeah I'm done and what was Hannah done yeah we keep talking about that but as you got home that transition of being there with two newborn babies didn't join you Who were the children?

29:14Like, what was going through your mind within the first six months? Like, how was that? What have I done? Yeah. Can I put them back? Yeah. When will I sleep?
29:22Amy Childs:Yeah. Yeah, it just was, honestly, going back to it, it was really tough. Like, look back now, and I can't believe me and Bill were actually married because I thought we was going to be divorced before we got married. Because the strain in our relationship, you know, obviously having two, obviously having Richie as well, I just thought it's just the sleep it. It's with twins. Like, when one cries, the other one cries. What one do you pick up? Who's the favourite one? like what one needs you the most but I had that it was an Asda pillar that I literally just put them on and feed them like that yeah it's mad it's just yeah but it was tough at times but I remember bringing them back thinking what have I done are you done now I'm so done I'm so so done honestly I couldn't saying that I didn't say exclusive girls no last year I said I should have one more but I don't think I will now no I'm getting my life back a little bit like twins the twins start school next year i feel like i'm getting my life back but i do find as soon as well for me as soon as i felt like i was getting my life back that's when i got really broody i got really broody the other day and i said to my husband like should we just should we go again and he was like yeah if i get laid then yeah i was like well you gotta do that yeah but no like after the rose cleared my bloodstream i was like that's the thing is it Oh, definitely not.
30:39Amy Childs:Definitely not. I feel like a porn star after a glass of Prosecco, don't you? I love a Prosecco. I don't really feel like a porn star, but I do love Prosecco. Yeah. And how do you fit time in then for Rudy Doody's with your husband? We don't. Do you schedule it? Oh, girls. Do you schedule it? Like, what do you do with four kids? It just doesn't happen a lot, you know? It's very got a lot going on. It doesn't happen a lot, you know? And I sometimes feel like, I can't be bothered. Oh, my God. Of course. We're exhausted. Love him so much. I don't want to be with anyone else. I love him so much, but I do not, I can't be bothered.
31:11Amy Childs:I really can't. The last thing I want to do is have sex. Sorry, girls. Sorry. Yeah, but how does he take that? I do actually, I'm totally with you on that. This one here, she's like a bit of Bonnie Blue over there. I'm not. So what are you doing, Ham? Because I need to take a leave out your book. I can't say on the camera what I do. No, but we try and make time. You've got to. So yeah, because if you don't. Two times a week? Well, like, you know, you've got, we weren't great in pregnancy and I don't want to say anything in case my husband ever hears it Bill's been watching this he's definitely like me and Bill need to make time for each other we really do but our lives are really full on Bill's work, my work I know it's that cliche but it is tough it is tough getting back you don't want to get your clothes off I want to just put my pyjamas on have a cup of tea big dressing going on yeah yeah no i totally agree just chat shit with bill i don't know i don't be sitting there being all sexy and oh if it works right now no i totally get it i totally get it i think yeah we we make time for each other because you have to but um not because you have to but i do want to like maybe you know but um what i i have to tell my husband is like if i come in and want to snuggle you it just means i just want to cuddle yeah i don't want sex yeah like don't Yeah.
32:35Don't then poke me. But you can't though, because if you go and give them a little cuddle and you like nuzzle in, they're like that. No, I have to say to them like, I'd like a cuddle.
32:44Amy Childs:Yeah. And that's all. Isn't that sad though, we've got to say this, do you know what I mean? Why can't it be us that want to be like having sex all the time? Why is it not us? Well, not me especially, do you know what I mean? My husband sends me on Instagram constantly. I'll have like five a day where it'd be like, women that swallow are more intelligent. Women that put out more will sleep better at night. Women, the more sex you have, the happier you are as a mother. His algorithm must be just like crazy. And it's like, I'm not double tapping that shit. Like, I'm not doing it. But he's like, oh, did you see my Instagram?
33:18Oh my God. Yes, I saw it, Andy. Yeah. Oh, how funny. I know. I am not actually Bonnie Blue, Andy. So, yeah. But the difference in the start of the relationship to like becoming a parent. It's totally different, isn't it? Do you get annoyed with him? Like, does he get up in the night? Does he irritate you with little things to do with the kids? How do you deal with it? He talks to me and he irritates me, breathes, and it irritates me.
33:41Amy Childs:Is he chew? Yeah. The other day he spoke to me, like, his mouth full, and I went, what are you doing? Yeah, stop. We're married now. Like, do you know what I mean? You're not even perimenopausal yet, are you? No. Oh, you just wait. It gets so much better. Really? Ooh. Yeah. Can't wait for that. Yeah, yeah, it's fun. Just listen, love him, Dilly. Generally, like, we do have our weekends away. Like, we always do. mum she's amazing they would have them but we do need to make more more time for each other we do like always have like once a month you know and we're very like when the twins are at nursery we do have like little lunchtime not session lunchtime like lunchtime meal you know he tries it's like i'm like oh god who would you say wears the trousers in your relationship um it just always depends like this week definitely bill because i don't know it's very light it's got a lot going on this week so it's all like we've got to be around you know if this feels well no way this week it's been but then last week it was all about i don't know it's very different yeah it should be equal really good yeah yeah yeah and it sounds like your support network around you is amazing with family when they say it takes a village it's like i can only imagine when you had like having two kids already but then having twins it's like i really you are vulnerable and how is your mom she's good yeah she's good yeah well speaking about that a year ago i just just burst out crying oh well i was in 10 i was in tenerife mum left tenerife on the tuesday me and bill stayed out there for another couple of days and then friday it just was all a blur to me and yeah my dad just rang me up and said you need to come home i was like what that's gonna let me cry he's like yeah mum's had a severe heart attack so it was severe so you need to come home and that was it then i was like being sick i was just yeah because it's just like it's just so worrying because me and mum are so so close so a year ago speaking about this i just couldn't speak about it i just spoke about it a couple weeks ago and i just i just burst out crying i'm gonna cry today but she's just she's just so important in my life i love her she's amazing with the kids she's amazing did she have to have any surgery or anything she had to have a stent in her main artery so yeah um she went to the hospital a couple weeks ago she has to have loads of like tests and she was on the walking machine the other day just to take them and everything i said to her everything's fine now mom you know live your life now do you know mean but she lost herself she really lost her way she wouldn't want to go out yeah it would knock your confidence massively wouldn't it she's at bingo hall like every saturday i'm like mom go to the big but she didn't want to the thing is you hear you hear about men having heart attacks and i feel like women get them too but it's almost like again like women's health like oh no they don't really get it it's fine but we do we do get heart attacks you do and did you have um because you say you didn't eat very much for like three months when like a year all that happened yeah i did and you got a bit of scrutiny didn't you about weight loss i'll put a picture of me now they're like oh you look ill whatever i must admit the whole so prior to this i mean i've got to be honest with you like i did try the skinny jabs so i tried it because i told you that lose that little extra baby weight but even though i was on something good because i still was training eating healthy but i just wanted that little quick fix but i did it for i think i did it for like what two weeks i was so ill i cannot tell you oh it was just not even funny how did it make you feel oh i was being sick oh really nauseous i thought it's pregnant i thought am i pregnant oh my god And then that's how everyone was.
36:49Amy Childs:Is that normal for a side effect? It's the most side effect. So after two weeks, I thought, what am I doing? So I never took it ever again. So I'm going to be honest, I definitely have to take it because I get all people that go to me, you're on the skinny jab. I go, you washed the dose. Lost a bit of weight and all of a sudden I had the heart attack. Then that's when it went downhill for me. So it was that transition of then going, oh, that's it. You're on the skinny jabs or whatever. And I did a big, like, I did a big okay shoot. And I said, look, at the end of the day, not done skinny jabs.
37:14Amy Childs:I've tried it. Didn't work for me. I was so ill. and do you know what it actually scared me how ill I was really three days I was in bed for and I thought I've got the kids really I've got the kids I've got to look after they need their mummy and I bet you wouldn't have had any energy if you weren't eating feeling sick but you felt dizzy it was really yeah it's really I don't know what batch I got but it was really bad they didn't take it ever again I just didn't you know I know it works my mum's friends all on it my friend you know a lot of people on it and they are doing amazing it didn't work for me because I was so ill and so do you still get that scrutiny now oh yeah i get it all the time do you you look terrible your wedding i got you look so skinny in your wedding you know you're a role model for your daughter um yeah i get a lot what yeah i get i get abuse out every day how do you feel about that i'm strong yeah back in the day i was like what they said about me like that was when twitter was like you know twitter when there was no instagram yeah yeah so i first done tell we it was twitter and it was like god fake or what was i fake oh everything lips oh everything i got completely abused and i remember saying to my mom god what they said about me and yeah it was mad when i lost all my weight like i must admit i went i went so skinny i was like one point i was like six stone 13 was this around when your mom was sick so it was like three four months after then it was the skinniest i was just yeah just but i just physically couldn't couldn't train i just said like because i just had this like anxious anxiety with mom it's bad yeah yeah but look i feel better now i train i train like three times a week yeah play paddle girls you ever play paddle oh my god i'm obsessed with what's your rating oh i don't even know what does that mean are you joking i don't know what i just turn up and play and hope for the best what do you mean by rating so you get rated like this is how good you are by who so the so whoever's at the paddle so there's like an essex thing to rate you how good you look i could do that as well you know we need to play you can rate me so I don't rate you but basically it's like experts paddle experts they rate you so I got a rating oh I'm about 3.1 I think out of what I think it's like 7 I play against the school mum very competitive not going to lie to you yeah I play against the school mum so you didn't I'm surprised by this Amy I didn't strike me and you're like I'm really laid back as a mum just super chill talk about paddle Jesus Christ I know competitive energy's just changed Amy so I'm actually number 2 in Essex shut up Shut up!
39:33Amy Childs:Shut up. Oh, my God. For table tennis. Are you really? No, no, okay, not now. Sorry, that's a bit of a like. No, I like it. Keep it going. I like it. When I was 15, I literally, I played for about nine years, and I was number two in Essex. Who was number one? She was so good. So good. I can't remember her name, but I was really gutted. This is amazing. Because I've got this competitive side. You know, I don't think with Polly, you know, I would like her to be a little bit more competitive. I get that. But with me, I'm very competitive with myself. yeah yeah yeah school mums all turn up right that's it it's like I start giving myself like something like right coming in so what you got to do plan her backhand because you don't really it's not really like me to be like that oh that's bizarre so surprised oh I love that her four-hand's not great so it's play to her four-hand and I start giving like tips and it's mad bizarre bizarre but that makes a good sports woman though because you you that's and that's what you need to do you are you are a business woman yeah and you would not be successful if you didn't have I know I do I'm dyslexic I struggle bad like day to day I still struggle i know i've had the businesses back in the day the salons i had the only fake time range i had my own roller range i was very mentally there but i did struggle with like the whole mass and the whole did you have a clothing line so you used to have right so when i presented at the olympics i wore like literally all of your dresses did you they're kind of caps sleeves and lace the yeah the ruch in here yeah amazing i was all over i was in i was in dorothy perkins I was in Veri I was in Lipsey yeah and I just got all these meetings and got look at all different materials don't know if that's going to work I need to go I loved it very very passionate I feel like I've definitely I think I had this name on Taui and Amy ain't got a clue she's so dixy she ain't got a clue but I feel like now I've definitely proved like I don't want to prove like proving to people but I'm definitely driven I've always have been driven and I don't think Taui's shown me that side you know growing up so and what do you enjoy most about like the clothing or makeup well I used to have the clothing I didn't do it anymore I think what happened to me I had the salon and I had the boutique and then when I was pregnant with Polly I just felt really different as in I just thought I was trying to put my whole time into Polly and I felt like I had all of these years I think I had like eight years of being all over the UK I was flying all over the world doing this show that show that show doing that and I just wanted a bit of time for me and I took myself a little bit out of the social media side because I just wanted to have time for me and Polly And do you have the salon?
41:56No. So you've stopped all of it now. Where can we get our vajazzles from now?
42:00Amy Childs:Oh, God. Yeah. Oh, do you know this amount of people that say to me about the vajazzle still? The amount, did you say you had a vajazzle? I tried it. I don't think I did it. What is a vajazzle? What is it? So it's actually diamantes on your private parts, your vagina. A diamante on your flower? Yeah. What, like on the front? You can have whatever. You can have it actually on, like, you know, your nuni. You can have it on the side. Yeah. You can actually have it like, listen, I just do vajazzles. like for jazzles for jazzles on men on winkies what's winkies like a willy oh yeah what do you call it a nunny a nunny for a flower so I've got to call a nunny and we call a willy oh you just say willy willy but if you put it on a willy if you have it anywhere you can have it actually on the bits you can have it on the bowls but if you put it on like on a flaccid one and then it grows like does that affect the yeah I actually thought about that actually that's a very very good question I think I mean maybe we should give it a go No, I'm not doing that to Andy.
42:57Jesus Christ. I'll come back with like indentations on my face. You will definitely. I'll be like this. Oh my God. What inspired you to do the bejazzle in the first place?
43:12Amy Childs:So it was actually in America. So it was actually really famous in America. So when I then done tailing, I got asked through the show, they said, oh, what do you do? And I said, well, I do a little bit of bejazzling. They was like, sorry, what? I said, bejazzling. there was I remember the crew sitting there like TV like what like this is this could be this could be massive I said yeah like you're basically like you know not diamonds on your knee and you're basically I can do it like you can use a stencil whatever and I remember all of these producers like that like watching me thinking I'm just making it up but I didn't because I actually did a go on a vajazzle course all these years ago oh my god I love that and that was it so the first Epcom and me and Sam sitting there me and Sam fairs I was like hi you need a vajazzle and I didn't say hi I said babe that's when babe was really famous that word and I literally vajazzled her and that night on on twitter i had alan khan messaged me i had simon khan messaged me a guy like what on earth is this show the vajazzle can i have a vajazzle like alan khan messaged me like it just blew up so technically i didn't i just made the vajazzle famous even though it was still famous like in america it wasn't famous in the uk no i know it's just from you yeah and everyone does you know i run the marathon and everyone's like amy get your vajazzle out and yeah it just was mad i think i've done the marathon 2013 but that was when the jazz was just so famous and everyone was like amy i even went out in like literally going out and i'd actually get people get their vajazzles out to me that's how famous it was wow oh my god so i saw loads of nuns yeah that's nice nice hairy nun with a bit of jazz on the side does paulie know about about the vajazzle what does she what does she no no she said she says sparkle so if we say about on her arm and everything yeah yeah yeah but we she said this to me about a couple of months ago and i said whatever you do do not go into that school and talk about bejazzles oh my god so the teachers must find it funny you know they show and tell at school show and tell my mom's got a big hairy one so listen the show and tell i've actually not been asked to do the show and tell at poly school yet not yet i'm not gonna take it as a you know they don't want me they don't want me to tell them about the bejazzle the parents go in they go no they go and tell you about you know your job what's a job and everything but they've actually not asked me yet they've asked a lot of the doctors and everything i've not really i actually volunteered once we got an email from the school saying um anyone got like an interesting job that they want to come to the school and share and i was like i don't mind i can come i think nothing maybe i'm not maybe i'm not a doctor or yeah no that's what it is i just don't think i got that call but um yeah but i said totally time i said do not talk about the vajazzle so a couple of years i think she'll start to know Yeah, yeah, yeah.
45:44Any parenting fails? Every day. Didn't your daughter spend£400 on Amazon? Yeah, of course she did. What did she spend that?
45:54Amy Childs:What did you tell me? So I've got all loads of Amazon boxes at the door, and I thought, oh, what's Bill bought me? I thought, oh, bless him. He likes to treat me, my husband. No, it's literally, and it was every hour then. I thought, oh, no, what's she done? So what she's done, because she, what was it? She loved Ladybug, but she got all of the Ladybug. Oh, my God. for the costumes. But at one point, we had literally, no, it was really mad. After two hours, I'd like literally have 30 boxes. Oh my gosh. It's 30. Yeah, there's birthday Christmas for the next 18 years. Oh my gosh. I don't know about you, but I hate sending things back.
46:25Amy Childs:I hate sending things back. It's such a faff. It's an absolute ball egg. It is. Do you know what? It is what it is. There was a few presents for like, you know, family, cousins, you know, they're all right. They're like ladybug. That's all right. It's fine. Yeah. For everyone at home, please let us know what's the most embarrassing thing that your kid has done? Comment on YouTube. I would love to know. Like, this is why we do this show. Yeah. I bet your daughter's, like, looking at your wardrobe thinking, that's going to be mine soon. And your makeup. Does she like your makeup? Loves makeup. Yeah, she's a really girly girl, Polly.
46:55Amy Childs:A bit like me. Loves them. Loves it. Loves going on TikTok. Like, my work is TikTok, right? A bit of TikTok, social media. You know, she sort of learns it from me. And people go, oh, she's not just got her own TikTok account. She's not got no TikTok account. she's just on my TikTok you know looking at a few videos and then we do TikTok videos together so yeah she loves it I think she's definitely going to be I think she's going to be a bit of a TikToker I think my daughter sees me do videos and then I catch her in the mirror pretending that she's on camera and she's like oh my god and she has an American accent I don't know I think it's because a lot of things that film movies and everything a lot of it's American accents but she's like hi guys like and subscribe I don't like and subscribe I don't know what they do with that.
47:38Amy Childs:She went to me today, probably you're going to go to the mall. And I said, the mall? Yeah. She went to the center. Yeah. They say trash. Trash. Trash. Yeah. And I'm like, and then she said, can you change my diaper? I know. It's a nappy. I know. It's mad. Exactly. It's mad, isn't it? Yeah. But I remember when I was a kid, I remember my mom saying to me, why do you keep talking in American? I'm like, am I? Oh my God, I didn't even know. Really? Oh my God, it's so bad. It's mad, isn't it? It is mad. It's like I'm not, my Instagram's not glamorous at all. I love your Instagram, Hannah. I think it's amazing.
48:13Thank you. Just like I put these awful wigs on and make sketches about reality of motherhood. And my kids will come home and see me with like cottage cheese on my shoulder, pretending it's sick and like wet patches on a gray T-shirt. But they just walk in, look at me with a wig on and they'll be like, are you making a video? And I'm like, yeah. And then they just carry on. like it's really normal it's not normal now and I think if one day one of their mates is going to come round to our house and they're going to open the door and be like what the fuck is your mum doing it's like she's working like she's working she's a job yeah like Polly she can't
48:49Amy Childs:she's not great at maths she's not great at science she really struggles like you know I go into the school and they go you know she's not doing this not really the but do you know what she is though she'll go into a room and go you alright how are you and she's very passionate like she just is like she's driven I look at Polly and I don't worry I think because she's got good social skills the social skills are amazing you know like you know everything um the dancing she's at the front she's you haven't just it's all about just being academic and you find it a bit draining as well like because you are constantly having to be on and socializing and being a mum with four kids you know because I'm mum 24 7 you know I'm doing the packed lunches or the drop-off whatever I'm doing so much the homework sometimes it's so nice to do towel for two hours a day, I have a little glass of Prosecco, and then just talk, not rubbish, just talk about everything that's going on.
49:35Amy Childs:It's like, it made me, do you know what I mean? It's like, it's my job, and I absolutely love it, do you know what I mean? So, it's like I find myself again. Yeah, that's exactly how we feel when we come here. We have our time to just talk, and just be us, and not have to do, be a mum, not have to parent, and it is really nice, yeah. It's just like talking, like, not just about the kids all the time, and it sounds really like, no no it doesn't I don't want to talk about the kids all the time I mean it's so nice to talk to the girls and some of them haven't got their children it's just nice to get that I don't know it's just yeah nicer just to hold on to your identity a bit more it is that's what that's what I'm trying to get at but it is a bit yeah it's tough trying to juggle everything and you've got the camera ready at nine o 'clock you're like oh what am I doing yeah I mean what advice do you would you give to parents because you're like juggling everything around working kids like additional needs it's like it's it's really intense for you i just i just think for me i just take every day as it comes i don't put too much pressure on myself unless you're playing paddle unless you're playing paddle i don't put no pressure on myself i just you know every day i wake up and do you know what it is it sounds really silly i wake up every day and i feel happy you i feel like okay sometimes i don't but i try and every day be positive is the word try and go you know there is you know because you read all these stories and i feel like you're so lucky what you've got you know you've got a nice house you've got all your lovely children and i do try and be positive i do wing it trying every day i do think right okay get up home right is it so i start taking a few deep breaths because it's a lot you know i wake up i'll get the twins they don't they don't want to get ready at the minute they are like refines get ready like but it's they're three right they're free they don't even i'm now potty training now i don't want to put your train she wants to put your train this was last night i literally had piss everywhere because she just got the potty and just threw it which is lovely i'm potty training my daughter right now and she she does the same thing she wants to pick up and show me there it is yeah like look look and then every time i do a wee she wants to look and then she wants to pour the wee down like how badly designed are potties how hard is it like potties are horrendous like they've got this huge bowl yeah and then you go to the toilet and you have to try and manipulate the piss line to come out i'd piss all of them oh honestly yes and exactly he'd want to do it though he's like no he looks at me like i ain't doing that so and then i then have to do polly's home it's what it is it's a bit overwhelming sometimes so i get up in the morning i'm positive but i take my deep breaths and go right okay let's crack on amy thank you so much thank you so much for coming on you've been such a joy i love it like you've been amazing thank you so much i know i don't get some prosecco out and we'll just crack on four hours i could still be here but how about next time i'll bring the prosecco yes girl then we can really like go Yeah, that sounds great.

This week we're joined by the legendary Amy Childs. TOWIE original, mum of four, newlywed, and one of the most refreshingly honest guests we've ever had in the room.
And yes… this episode absolutely goes there.
From emergency C-sections and prolapsed cords to potty training disasters, £400 Amazon sprees, and why she genuinely cannot be bothered after a long day, Amy holds nothing back.
