In short

Georgia Harrison discusses online responsibility for parents, intimate image abuse law reform, and raising kids against the manosphere; she also shares her own early-motherhood experiences (sleep, birth choices, and parenting “fails”).

Guest backgrounds

Georgia Harrison is a public figure and new mum. She previously campaigned after being a victim of intimate image abuse, helping remove a legal loophole requiring proof of intent to cause distress. She’s now building the George Harrison Foundation and pushing “George’s Law” for faster takedown/pause of intimate image abuse content and shifting reporting burden toward perpetrators.

Key claims

Parents shouldn’t be blamed for children being shared; criminals and deepfake perpetrators should be targeted. Current intimate image abuse processes are too slow and too victim-burdensome. Regulation and education are needed to reduce online harms, including manosphere influence on boys.

Notable examples

She describes her MBE ceremony curtsy to Prince William; her ChatGPT parenting questions; using “human-friendly” pads after birth after viral puppy-pad advice; and a service-station incident where her son asked about Andrew Tate after seeing a message on a cubicle door.

0:00Coming up, we have Georgia Harrison. I was a victim of intimate image abuse and following on from that, I went on to campaign to change a loophole in the original intimate image abuse law. It's messed up that like people are concentrating on like parents shouldn't be sharing their kids. No, criminals shouldn't be deep faking our kids. Yes, exactly. Prince William was really laughing when I came up. Yeah, because I just, I was so, the curtsy was so theatrical. I just like really went like that. Like Elsa from prison. So after you breastfeed, you're like, what are those? They're like empty tea bags, like proper saggy.

0:32You're like, wow, this is actually, I don't know if I can live like this. God also made C-sections and fake tea, so I opted for both of them.

0:41Your favourite friend group is back. FX's Adults follows five roommates living in New York, leaning on each other to navigate love, work, friendship and family, while tackling pressing questions of your 20s like, What if the person who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self? And how do you tell your roommates that you have other friends? FX is adults. All episodes now streaming on Hulu. Hello. 1:43Hi Louise. What are you doing? I was just eating some carrot puffs from the Aldi Mamiya range. What's that one? Really nice. Like, live off them. You're taking your kids' slacks? Well, no, because they're perfect for those imperfect parenting moments. Me and my family just live off them. They're nice, aren't they? Did you get that from the guest's hamper? I borrowed them, yeah. Welcome to No Parental Guidance. No, Louise, they're mine. I'm actually really nice. Thanks.

2:14How did we made it? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I will survive. Oh, my God. We have. We survived. we did it jesus christ do any of the parents or any say people online with that you shouldn't have had kids then if you don't enjoy spending all your time with it whatever i'm like you try and be a snack bitch for six weeks yeah like yeah i mean and i'm sure there are people listening and watching well done we did it we did mommy watch me snack no you cannot can i go on my ipads it's like no it's quarter past seven in the morning bradley yeah but okay just half an hour towards the end of the holidays i was like i don't care anymore yeah just yes watch telly all day i did something really bad actually i don't know if this is maybe a fail but um bradley my 10 year old is obsessed with golf and he really enjoyed uh designing uh holes for golf so he'd draw out like how many yards from like the pin to like tee and off it was really got into it about the fair way and the rough so I was like at one point he kept going mommy watch this look at this look at this like Bradley why don't you go and chat GPT and ask it to like draw it out I'm not kidding wow so he designed an 18 hole golf course yeah um with all the measurements and yardages from the red tees the yellow tees the white tees and I was printing them off I've gone through ink cartridges like wow i must have spent a couple of hundred quid on ink cartridges and do you know what louise i don't care because i'm like i'm like why did why don't you print it off and then he's put it into this file and he's like can you laminate it and i'm like gosh wow but i've been getting chap gpt to parent for me really yeah that's okay do other people do that i'd really appreciate it if you could i'm not there yet let me know it's like this was week two of the summer holidays.

4:08It's fine. Oh my gosh, it's fine. And to be fair, it's educational. Yeah, okay. Is it? It's fine. It's fine. Any fails over the summer? We did, well, I did have one that, do you know when you're like, oh, for fuck's sake. Yes, always. Always. We went on holiday and Bradley and Logan don't often fight and argue. Yeah. But Bradley has, I think he's 10, a bit of hormonal, I don't know. but he's got a bit a bit moody yeah he's never been moody before and um the a couple of mornings at the same time each morning just before we went to breakfast the kids would be like like hungry maybe a bit tired but like bradley would shout and be like why do you always do this to me to logan like really shouted at him and then logan would be like and one of them's got a red mark and it takes you like two minutes to establish like what's happened and who's hit who so anyway this one morning i was oh my move hung over and annabelle was messing about and um i was like oh for god's sake boys we don't shout and i was doing what i tell them not to do but i was doing it to them standard and i was like you know this is a third morning that we've all been shouting or you two been shouting just listen let's go for breakfast anyway as we were about to leave like to go back home again we had all the bags packed like everything i had a big rucksack on do you know when your rucksack's like that thick and uh annabelle was stood next to me and this woman came past and um and she was like oh hey are you uh are you checking out and i was like yeah yeah we are and she goes oh we we're in the um the room above and i was like oh i said well and i joked i was like well i hope you didn't hear the boys arguing on the morning and then she was like oh there was we did hear them a couple of mornings we did hear that woke us up a couple of the mornings and I was like I'm like great oh well I'm really sorry about that because we're not that we're actually not that family but I was like okay well it's out my control I can't do anything here and then I was like she said it woke us up yeah and I was like well you should have been sleeping in at 6am then should you and then and then as as she walked off did you say that no I just was like oh I'm really sorry about that but I was a little bit I was I was very embarrassed yeah and then um As I turned around, Logan was just stood in my way.

6:24And I had this massive backpack on. I was like, oh, well, won't happen again. And I flung myself around. But in the process, I just wiped Logan out. He fell onto the floor, pulled Annabelle down with him. And they were both like, ooh! I was like, just. Oh, no, just when you want the ground to swallow you up. Get me on the plane. And we got on the plane. And we were like, we're really sorry. The flight's delayed for two hours. And I was like, do you know what? where I need wine. Yeah, give me that savvy bee. Yeah, give it to me. So over the break, the break, over the summer, we've been putting out episodes that you may have missed.

7:03Ones that spring to mind with the Joanna Page with the stubble. Oh my God. Stubble trouble. Stubble trouble. And Sophia Lisbeck's parenting clinic. Yeah. And then Genevieve with the salmon sperm. I mean, what like, well, let me tell you are you ready for this what is it well we've got some information that i think because you mentioned about yeah so who's wanking salmons are they doing it so our lovely npg listener mary logan in australia oh um dm does yeah so regarding the salmon sperm i i read this and i was like this isn't right um i have a friend who worked on a salmon farm and yes part of her job was to wank the salmon.

7:50Shut up. There is no way. I believe it was for their breeding program, but perhaps the treatment was discovered when someone accidentally got jizzed in the face. Come on. Mary, this can't be real. Is that for real? Like, how are you? How are you? Where is even a fish willy? Do fishes have willies? They must do. Someone's wanking them off. But like, And what's the job title? Like who Someone that wanks off salmon What are they called? I jerk off salmon And I put the jizz on my face That's a very unhinged person Not many women say that But wow Mary knows someone I'd love to know Genuinely People that have had the salmon sperm It's like injected in the face isn't it?

8:39I don't know That's where they get all the lumps Everywhere when they have it injected, they get loads of like little bits. I'm sure that's what it is. It's sperm, isn't it? It's imagine when you go for a reunion at school and everyone's like, what are you doing now? It's like, well, I've actually, you know, I'm doing really well. I'm hairdresser, doctor, solicitor. What do you do? Well, I wank salmon off. That's what I do. And I make people look younger. We have Georgia Harrington. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for being here. Thanks for having me. You're looking very fresh. And you are a new mum.

9:15Yes, I am a new mum. This is actually my first podcast talking about parenting. Is it? Oh, yeah. Amazing. You get the exclusive. Yeah. All right. So how's it been? It's been amazing. Obviously, you know, you have ups and downs. You can never say it's perfect, but I'm absolutely loving it. Like, it's just unlocked new levels of happiness and playfulness in me. Like, she just makes me so happy. Is it what you're expecting? because I know sometimes people are like this idyllic vision of motherhood. Yes. Like it's hard and chaotic, but is it what you were expecting? No, look, it's definitely harder.

9:48I think there were certain parts of me that was like, oh, it'll be fine, I'll just like squirt the baby out and then I'll go straight back to work. Squirt the baby out? Well, you know what I mean, whatever way it comes out, I'll just like throw myself back into it and I'll be able to film like my brand deals and stuff and I'll just like have everyone on the sofa with me whilst I do it. And that's obviously like completely unrealistic. and I probably thought like the work-life baby balance would be easier but in terms of actually motherhood it's been a lot more fulfilling than I ever could have imagined.

10:18How's she sleeping and stuff? How are you sleeping? She sleeps like a dead log. Get out. I know, people think I'm lying. I'm so happy about it. Sorry, I'm sat here as my three-year-old just kept me up all night last night. Carry on, tell me how great your sleep is. Unbelievable, honestly. Are you serious, really? Yeah, no, like she is like completely out of the counter. I'm obsessed with sleeping as well. Like before she came along, I would love a midday nap. Like I've never struggled to sleep. I could drink three coffees, probably like it could be raining over there. I could have three coffees and I could get in a ball on the floor under the rain.

10:51And I reckon if you offer me some money for it, I could sleep within the next 20 minutes. My husband's like that. Yeah. Like I just, I love sleeping and I'm good at it. I can just switch off. She will sleep like from around 8pm, 8.30 till 8am every single night. and never wake and like hardly ever wake but even now we're waking her up at 11 and 5 because she needs antibiotics she wasn't well a couple of weeks ago hasn't affected her sleeping pattern at all literally wake her up make her scream squirt it in put her back down she's fine and she's livid because you've woken her up and she just wants to go back to sleep again no she just goes back to sleep so I was thought look I've been on to a good in here I'm living the dream like this could really mess things up for me that is amazing but no and I know that makes such a difference because a lot of my friends they're like up every single half hour yeah I remember being, I mean, you're very blessed and I'm really, really, I'm really happy that you're, you're experiencing that.

11:40I just remember my firstborn just didn't really sleep. And like, just being like, I remember, I just remember just feeling like absolutely thick as shit because I just was like, I can't, I couldn't function on anything. And then my husband be like, oh, I'm really tired. And I'm like, you've slept. And then people say, well, I tell you what, you're going to have a nap for an hour. and then you're so anxious because you're overtired and then you have a little nap and you come downstairs and like, oh, you must feel amazing now because you've had an hour's sleep. It's like, no, but I haven't slept for the last six months.

12:13So one hour is actually going to do fuck all for me. But then I wouldn't have slept anyway because I'd be lying there thinking, can I hear the baby? Is that the baby? Are they doing a good job? He's hungry. I can hear that cry. It means he's hungry. They're not holding him properly. Yeah. Are they doing it properly? He needs an happy change. I was a very anxious first mother. Yeah. I was a really anxious one. I wish that I hadn't been think I'm more the opposite I'm probably like I am really really laid back but then I did get the sleep deprivation at first because I done the whole breastfeeding I done it for like six weeks so obviously then you're getting up like every three hours but during that time you're really not normally doing that much within the daytime so you can just like yeah like because I'm a good sleeper I can get up like breastfeed and go straight back to sleep after so I think that helps as well and yeah I would say like I'm quite laid back oh that's lovely I remember as well if I need to get up in the night to do a wee or breastfeed it would take me forever to get back to sleep i remember like don't open your eyes just don't open your eyes and maybe you'll just drop back off again and yeah that that's what would annoy me is like the baby would be back asleep but i would still be wide awake oh no i would hold my breath whilst i was breastfeeding so i'd be scared i'm gonna fall asleep and just like you know squish it wow yeah i'll be like that window open like holding my breath like stay awake like it's a scary thing i'm so like easy to go back to sleep and sometimes it's like you know when you're driving home on the motorway and you're like oh god like i need to like listen to signs and pull over and have a coffee and like breathe out the window that's what i think it would feel a bit like like that's the only time i'd be like oh i'm actually a bit scared i'm so tired oh and you remember being like kept awake with a night sweats oh i had that bad god you know like when you first had your baby yeah you go home and you're just like talking to me like sorry i'm just like sweating my nips off and you'd have to i like there's times where i changed i remember one night i changed my bed sheets four times oh my gosh I was sweating profusely and then you're like so dehydrated and you're trying to breastfeed you wake up the next day like like wilting god what was um what was your birth like so I actually had an elective c-section I haven't spoken about this publicly mainly because I I done like a basically I was potentially going to do a doc around like women giving birth around the time so I filmed quite a bit of home footage for it for a pilot but you know what tv is like never ended up going ahead but I've still got that home footage and I really want to like do it into a vlog to talk properly but we're 10 months in girls and every time I go to edit it it's just not happening like eventually I think I will um but because of potentially almost doing the job I got to meet with loads of mothers that were going through different birth options so like mums that were doing like free birthing mums that were having the baby and then we're going to keep the placenta like attached to the baby um mums who were doing c-sections or already had and I just I listened to loads of birth stories which obviously you're not supposed to do and I felt like a lot of people always liked me like my friends are very holistic yeah they're very like you know birth should be natural and it can be a really euphoric experience and you know you're gonna miss out on that and where I'm quite spiritual and I like I've won celebrity SAS I'm quite gritty I think a lot of my friends expected me to just be like I'm just gonna like go for it and I'm gonna love it but honestly when I heard a lot of the stories I just felt statistically a lot of my personal friends they'd had bad experiences which ended in c-sections anyway and I just felt for myself I really just I didn't want to go through lots of pain and I felt for the baby in my personal opinion it was a safer entry into the world but yeah we had the best time we had our playlist playing like mine and jack's song we went through the nhs and they was amazing and I was just really really happy with my choice and I think there's like a lot of stigma around like you take the easy route or like I don't know I was quite nervous in the lead up to a c-section a lot of people I felt were trying to tell me that I shouldn't do it but yeah it was like the best decision I made yeah I just felt I felt like there was no stress it was really easy your favorite friend group is back fx's adults follows five roommates living in New York leaning on each other to navigate love work friendship and family while tackling pressing questions of your 20s like what if the person who inherited your fake id is cooler than you ever were why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self and how do you tell your roommates that you have other friends fx is adults all episodes now streaming on hulu hello look what tj max dragged in the devil wears prada 2 is now streaming on Disney Plus and Hulu.

16:44We are digital. We are downloadable. We are streamable. The fashion event of the year is certified fresh. Pull yourself together. We have work to do. Critics say it's smart and witty and the perfect sequel. That's all. Get runway ready for The Devil Wears Prada 2 on Disney Plus and Hulu. Rated PG-13. I'm like, yeah, it was a good choice for men. It's so frustrating to hear when people are like, are they breastfed or bottle fed was it cesarean or vaginal delivery like no one gives a shit no nobody cares but it's so sad that there is so much pressure around that like who who actually cares all you need is a healthy mom exactly if that's all at the end of the day that's all that matters and i know there are some women as well who tried to give birth uh vaginally and then couldn't yeah and then ending up having a c-section and they're like they're so hard on themselves yeah i think no and it ruins the first like the fourth trimester for them because that's all they're concerned about is where i remember on my nct course a girl was told um that she was going to have to have a c-section and we went to the nct class and she was crying her eyes out and i was like why are you so upset and she was like i just have to have a c-section and i was like yeah but surely that's quite good because you know when the baby's going to come yeah and you know that it's coming like you know the doctors are going to be there you'll be safe yeah and that's your plan and if you're a bit of a control freak like I am it's like well I'd quite like to know what date the baby's coming because none of mine have come anywhere near the due dates and she was so upset by it she was like I just feel like a failure no I was like are you grown a human but again I feel like that's like society making us feel like that yeah yeah and a lot of my friends like you know God made it so it should be natural and that's how it should be and I'm like yeah but God also made c-sections and fake tits so I opted for both of them because if he made everything he also made that an option I'm gonna take it it's about choices honey I'm happy with mine but I can see why some mums will get upset because I've met mums like I said who really enjoy giving birth and if you've got this image in your head of like how magical your birth's gonna be and going through that like experience with your partner and stuff and then it gets taken away from you I can understand how like that can be frustrating yeah but no yeah I was I was really happy in my decision and I did feel one thing I felt really big pressure around like as you've said it was the whole breastfeeding thing because I did it for six weeks and I found it really tough and in the end I had to stop because I kept getting really ill like I was getting like I got like water infections a couple times ended up in hospital and the antibiotics were too strong to keep breastfeeding with the baby but I feel like there was quite a long time the lead up that I really didn't want to be doing it anymore just like around my work I was exhausted sometimes Jack would leave me at like 8am at the table and he would come back from work like 8pm and I've literally got up to wee twice with her on my lap like yeah you know what I mean I'm literally like breastfeeding wing at the same time like this is hell and but because of the pressures of Instagram I felt like I was such a bad mom if I stopped and then yeah like for ages it was like the guilt of like seeing all these posts of how amazing breastfeeding is but like you're struggling but you've got this like constant reminder of like this is what you should be doing and i bet your algorithm was fierce at that point about aggressive and all the mums with their tips are like taking like a pressure washer and you're like yeah exactly they're getting all the milk out the freezer yeah um but when i actually had like that option taken away from me i was just like oh i feel so much yeah and it's like lifted when you kind of make that decision yeah go this is what i'm going to do it works better for me and my baby and just crack on yeah I am I remember stopping breastfeeding and realizing because I don't think that I actually produced enough milk yeah like I really don't whenever I would express there would always there wasn't much coming out I know this one here was like an actual cow um but my I just didn't have much going on and I noticed the difference in my baby when I went on to formula he was suddenly sleeping better yeah and and i'm like oh god then i then i felt bad again because like i wasn't giving my baby enough how terrible am i like again like just this constant kind of the guilt that we carry all the time and it's nice that we can take that step back and go oh actually i recognize it with my first baby i was really uptight and we've both got that narrative like with our first baby we're uptight but you're like not like that are you you're super relaxed by the sounds a bit in calm yeah no we are quite laid back i think and like and i wouldn't sound uptight but i am more like don't ever really know what i'm doing like just obviously just trying to figure it out but obviously we've got chat gbt like i even like you know we've got a parent over there that literally brought my child up so yeah yeah much easier oh god yeah well we didn't have that yeah and also i was too scared to google anything because everything just goes deaf yeah yeah hospital immediately what's the top things that you've asked chat gpt since you've become a mum oh for the baby just probably like things like should her green should her poo be green and look like sick chat gpt somewhere my baby hasn't farted in three days is it okay i don't know she she keeps crawling backwards will she will she ever learn to go forwards Oh, no, that's normal.

22:05I know that. All my kids went backwards first. And I was like, come on, go forwards. If you have more. Like, he will, like, do drills. Like, when she couldn't roll, he would, like, put things to the side of her and do drills to, like, teach her to roll. And I'm just, like, sitting on the sofa like, babe, like, who cares? Like, she'll roll when she rolls. I want to talk about your MBE that you got. Congratulations. You were, like, heavily pregnant when you got that, right? Yeah, so I was, like, eight months pregnant. I was in heels and it was just like I looked like a balloon and doing the curtsy I almost went like face first because I was just like so heavily pregnant and uh Prince William was really laughing when I came up yeah because I just I was so the curtsy was so theatrical but you still had to actually do it like if you said look if I curtsy I might like my waters might break or I might actually push this baby out do you would you like do you have to still curtsy no I think you would have let me off like and actually like I think I could have got away with just that yeah but I I hadn't witnessed anyone else curtsy ever.

23:05And the people in front of me, because you do go like one person at a time, there was two men in front of me. So like someone will stand with security at the top, then go on to the prince, then you'll move up to the next stand. It's a bit like sports day. Wow. And I only saw two men like nod. So I didn't realize that a curtsy isn't how they do it in the theater. So how did you do it? I just like really went like that and like put my arms out and my head up. Like Elsa from Frozen. Yeah. Yeah, and he was just, you know, proper at the end, like as if you've just completed a whole theatre thing. Oh, I do like that, though.

23:36I thought I was Amber Davies. And like, yeah, I think he did find it really, like, really comical. Oh, I do love that. How inspiring and what a lovely story to tell your daughter. Well, she was there. Yeah, she was there. And in terms of the process to get to the MBE, can you just, like, run through what you've been doing? Because you're making massive changes and it's incredible. Yeah, thank you on behalf of women everywhere. and girls growing up thank you i appreciate that yeah um so yeah so basically i was a victim of intimate image abuse quite a few people probably know about it and it became quite a public case and following on from that i went on to campaign to change a loophole in the original intimate image abuse law so technically the loophole meant that you had to prove that your perpetrator intended to cause you distress so it would be like if i like threw my coffee in your face now don't I'm not gonna do it um you like you know us then going to HR and you having to prove that I done it to like upset you but you're like covered in coffee like you literally just like stink a caffeine and it's like why did you do that it's like you shouldn't have to prove it like it's yeah that's mad intimate imagery is such a harmful thing you know something's been sent unconsented it's painful no matter what so it shouldn't have there shouldn't have to be intent proved so I managed to get that removed from the law and since then I've been doing lots of campaigning with all different sort of charities lots of online campaigning working with government to try and change legislation now and i've started my own foundation called the george harrison foundation amazing um so what my new campaign is i want to call it george's law i still have women messaging me like every diet pretty much and men asking for help asking like what to do so i guess they like out of like the first thing they do is just google my name like they'll come to me often before they were leaving to a charity yeah so what i want the law to do is just have like an immediate pause on intimate image abuse content so i'm not talking about a wide scope of content you'd need ai to specifically make sure it's intimate image abuse and as soon as they report it it just comes off and instead of the victim having to fill out the form the perpetrator has to fill out the form potential perpetrator yeah to explain that it is consented you know it's a false report and then they will get it put back onto the platform and they can do whatever they want with it but at the moment it's the victim who has to explain themselves whereas it should be the perpetrator because you know end of the day they might get a bit of content pulls they put it up again in two days that's worst case scenario but if you're a victim of intimate image abuse worst case scenario is you lose your partner you lose your job you lose your dignity you lose somewhat of respect for yourself you know you have to tell your family about all of this stuff that's happened it's so damaging and lots of other countries have already implemented things where they have technology that takes this stuff down within six minutes so really yeah I believe that 48 hours isn't long enough and I've been working with lawyers to write up a new law so it's not just like something that's in my head it's something that's been put on paper that we really do believe is possible and that I'm calling on Andy Burnham to hopefully change yeah it's petrifying to think that that happened to you like obviously your ex like had the the sex tape that you didn't give any authority to be put anywhere and then from you or filmed yeah and from the point of you finding out that it was visible to other people how long before that was taken down originally or was it well no it had already been up for a month when I found out about it so yeah there's just I just don't think there's enough legislation yet that prevents that spread because if at the time that had been available if I'd been able to pause it at that time it really wouldn't have gone as far as it did and what an amazing thing that you have now been in a position that was awful and I'm sorry that you went through that it's just horrendous but actually what you're making the changes for now is going to impact you know your daughter in the future and her friends and and for anybody else that could potentially be in that position and hopefully the laws will tighten to make sure because it's it's petrifying we talk about this a lot on the show is like you know my eldest is 10 and it's like well he's asking me in year seven to have a phone and it really scares me that I've got kids growing up in this society where people aren't protected online and it it worries me and then I've got a daughter as well like yourself it's like oh god well what about when she's older how do you how do you feel about being a mom of a daughter and her growing up in this world and do you are you sharing her online are you would you be open to her being on reality shows so um like scary but hopeful because i like to think in the next 10 years we are going to begin to regulate the internet but then i'm sure there'll be a whole new problem by then but you know it's just like anything in life like things eventually do have new regulations and hopefully they get safer and it starts with awareness and i think as a society we're definitely a place where people are aware that there's like a lot of things on social media that need to change in terms of sharing I always just shared her like fluidly like a lot of my friends have like also like people I look up to you know I look at like Sam Fez and other parents like that Lucy Meck I mean I think they had their children prior to there being so many issues with sharing children and being so spoken about but that's who I've always like watched and always just thought was fine so I always did share Sahara but then I met Baroness Bebam Kidron yeah when I was on Sky News and she does a lot of like campaigning around younger children being deep faked and stuff like that she just told me a lot of like really sinister stuff that happens with the images that you share of your children so now I've been trying to just like strip it back and not show her full face or just like cover her a little bit yeah but I still find it like really conflicting because obviously as an influencer I share my whole entire life so now it's hard showcasing my life without her being in it and like sometimes I'll see my other friends sharing their kids and I'm like oh like I've got so many cute pictures there that I want to share so I'm sort of in the middle where at the moment because I know that there's so many dangers I'm trying to make sure I'm not sharing her too full on where she could become a victim of that but at the same time I'm not completely cutting her out altogether yeah yeah fair i feel like i'm kind of in in the same place actually although my eldest now he's 14 yeah he's like nothing he's like he's you take a picture and he's like delete it yeah it doesn't like it's not going anywhere it's for our own family album yeah that i never print out uh it will stay on my phone forever but like it's not going anywhere and he's like delete it it's like you didn't ask my permission to take my picture and i'm like oh fuck off like my little sister was like that for about three years or any picture was that yeah hand in face yeah um and now because he's doing that he's my youngest who's seven she started to like pick up on that now she's like delete it and she will grab my phone i go into my phone and delete loads of stuff and i'm like don't delete it but she doesn't know how to go and do deleted things so yeah that's my saving grace right now but um it's hard because you're relatable with obviously with what you're doing and campaigning but also you are a mum yeah and people have been on such a journey with you and they want to continue that journey and and see you become a mum and this new chapter of your life and it becomes really hard because a big part well the main part of your life is is being a mum and having a child yeah and you want to share that and it's messed up that like people are concentrating on like parents shouldn't be sharing their kids no criminals shouldn't be deep faking our kids yes we should not be sharing in our kids like we should feel safe doing that but again we're getting the blame like you're a bad parent like no actually that person usually a man uh needs some therapy yeah and where does it end like can kids not be in school photos like yeah like where do we hide all babies eventually like it's like no it's quite sad isn't it it's really sad but um yeah it's just the way it is right now yeah i think it's more conflicting for me where i do a lot of campaigning whereas if i was just a mum influencer I feel like I should be a bit more fluid with showing the baby but where I'm campaigning for under 16s not to be on their phones and I'm doing my best to try and make the internet safe I do feel sometimes a little bit conflicted when I'm like every picture's like me with the baby like do you know what I mean yeah it's hard you're in that yeah rock and a hard place aren't you with it my concern is like having boys raising them to like be aware that there's boundaries and they're only so young but it's like having that um those boundaries around what's appropriate what's acceptable for like touch and what you how you describe other people's bodies and that really like is a big thing that I'm starting to think about now is like you know puberty approaches boys and there's this whole new dimension of like body autonomy and and like just boundaries of what they can and can't and shouldn't say to women and it freaks me out a little bit um but it's teaching your kids and like having daughters to say no that's not okay yeah I think we've come a long way though with teaching children quite young yeah with their own body autonomy yeah um even that teacher that sang that song these are my private parts private parts which is brilliant like my I really do feel like my kids are more clued up with what's private more now than when I was a kid like when I was a kid for example we had swimming lessons at school and anyone could come into the changing rooms and it was like mixed, boys and girls were together and like the teachers would be there just, you know, making sure we got dressed.

33:17Now, like I volunteer as a mum to go on these swimming lessons. Such fun. But we're not allowed in the changing rooms. Okay. Not allowed at all. Even as women? No. See, the private parts song, my best friend plays that to her two daughters in the car all the time. Yeah. And I thought that was really intelligent. Yeah. And then she goes through it and she like touches what part. yeah what part means what part so she'll be like you can't touch this you can't touch this yeah yeah and I think like from a younger age where they struggle to communicate that is like a really good idea it is a good idea and it does it is definitely getting through because being on the beach you know when we were away over the summer my daughter was very aware if she's getting unchanged on the beach even though I'm holding the towel up she's still like well make sure mummy no one sees i'm like no one can see i've got you yeah whereas yeah when i was on the beach as a kid you just kind of get i think i was just naked until i was about no i remember not like i remember once being at the david lloyd and i was getting changed in like a private part of the family changing room probably like the locker or whatever because we were all in there together as like you know because there was boys and girls and i remember someone putting his head under the door and obviously you know what kids are like they're just being curious i was really really young but i remember being devastated because i caught him doing it and i remember just crying the whole rest of the day because i was so embarrassed that he'd seen my private parts and i was only like i must be like eight or nine something like that so i was aware that it was something that i didn't like yeah yeah but i don't know how my my parents would have got that across to me and obviously i'm not sure how i'll do it with sahara but i'll probably put her in nursery at a certain age so i I will, I'll probably just ask my mate, send me that song.

35:03We stopped off on a service station on the motorway to get some petrol. And my middle child wanted the loo. And he was like, oh, mom, I'll just go by myself. But I kind of waited outside the men's door and I was there for him. And when he came out and got back in the car, he was like, mom, who's Andrew Tate? And I was like, what? Why are you asking me that? And on the back of the cubicle door, someone had written, everyone needs to follow Andrew Tate. Oh, really? And so I had to then have this conversation in the car, which is pretty good actually, because then my eldest son could listen to about the manosphere and, you know, all of that whole conversation about Andrew Tate and toxic masculinity.

35:46And yeah, you know, it's just something that you probably do need to have with you. He was asked, who's Andrew Tate? You know, you're like, what did you say? He's a knob. He's a prick. don't go there do not yeah just like just ignore that and then I I kind of wanted to call the service station say like take it down but then you got I didn't I can't remember where it was now well with my foundation we're going to be hoping to try and like change the culture of the manosphere so one of the things we're doing is doing like education so I'm doing one of my first talks in schools uh towards the end of October oh that's amazing yeah and I think it's like letting young men like be aware of what the manosphere is because it can always start off quite innocent and then it solely sort of manipulates them and it's all about you know just just getting their attention so they can turn it into currency but yeah it's already proven that like a negative emotion travels six times faster than a positive one on social media so if you can make men feel negatively towards women they're then gonna follow you more and sort of think that you're more of like this godlike character and that they can help you become a better man by being less empathetic towards women I guess it's like what the manosphere sort of tries to do and that's what it's all about it's like all about having conversations like parents need to be having conversations with their children because you just don't know what they're going to be seeing like there was a couple of guys when I was dating that I dated that like one like really liked Andrew Tay or like I saw them scrolling and like a few of their videos like it's weird so I got the ick from an algorithm but I most definitely did and like quite a few of their videos was like Andrew Tay I could hear him when they were scrolling like very like just weird incel stuff and I was like you've obviously this geezer's obviously got something wrong with him do you know what I mean like get rid but it just goes to show that through all generations it is there but if anything I think boys your son's ages are probably gonna be slightly more aware of it than even people my age were.

37:48Yeah. Because everyone talks about it now. Yeah. So we ask all our guests on the show any parenting fails that you'd like to share with us. I've been watching like a TikTok and it was like a mum like basically just saying like what some like top tips for once the baby comes. And one of them was to have puppy pads on the like changing table. Yeah. Puppy pads in your baby bag. So obviously like if they wee or poo themselves, which they do like eight times a day, it doesn't go on whatever you're changing more and it goes on that and you throw it in the bin it's actually a really good idea i need a couple of them to sit on to be honest whatever you do don't because oh god why well because i ordered them and i just went straight in puppy pads there was like a picture of like a labrador and the pads under i was like lovely amazon next day see in a minute um and when i put it on tiktok everyone went insane and was like it's so bad for the baby there's basically chemicals in the puppy pads which make the dogs come to the puppy pads more to wee on them and like you know i i don't know if it was i it hardly peeled her skin off but it probably isn't a good idea um so i got mum's shame so bad and it was all over the press like george harrison gives terrible advice to new mothers like you know and they use all the worst troll comments as like the headline and like i'm just sitting there like i just wanted to help up oh georgia that's awful and the fact you're a new mom anyway you're navigating the journey it's like oh but the good side about that is like i may have never known that if i wasn't an influencer and i wasn't sharing everything and what i was doing could have been dangerous for the baby so i've got quite a thick skin and i'm like do you know what i'd rather share more and get told more what's wrong than like not get told what's wrong and i'm not doing the right thing anyway girls there's human pads for humans and babies which you can order like the big square ones yeah they look like of course there are i use that after i gave birth in the bed yes so i now use them and i have them in my baby bag i have them on the changing table and you know even like on the floor when she's eating i just i love them we've got so many of them at home but yeah make sure you go for human friendly yeah human friendly good good that is a great tip when i've finally got time i really want to do like an instagram of things i found really helpful through for having a mom you should do definitely this is one of the best like where i'm i'm working i'm looking after the baby on my own most of the time like when my partner's away also the house like i have just literally not even got time to wipe my ass you know what i mean like i wipe hers but um so the cooking and stuff i've got all the joe wicks cookbooks and stuff i just don't have time Bradley loved the spaghetti bolognese in a pouch and he would eat the whole thing yeah amazing he's got a different flavor and stuff and I was at a group and this mum was like is that a pouch of bolognese and I was like yeah and she was like oh I do like batch cooking at the start of the week and I wanted to be like uh dear good to you Sharon we can never be friends um because I don't have I'm back at work.

40:53Yeah. I don't have time today to have batch cooked a bolognese. Yeah. And this is my alternative because I'm hanging on by a thread and then I've got another kid like to feed and stuff like that. But again, they're being fed. Yeah. They're being fed. Bradley was happy. Well, exactly. There you go. That's all I care about. I'll give her the little crisp things and stuff. And actually Aldi and Mimia have really good pouches. Just saying. Yeah, they do. They've got some really great pouches. I still, a little secret, I still give my kids who don't need pouches at all i still give them pouches as like a little extra snack just you know if they want something i'm like they have a pouch like okay i'll have to try that as i saw lots of other moms with pouches actually the other day when i was at like a a little birthday party thing some of the fruit ones are amazing like my husband takes them with him when he plays golf does he yeah he has like banana and coconut honestly and he's like you know if i want like a bit of a bit of a snack i'll have a baby you're feeding our family yeah yeah and then he had a bolognese for his dinner at a pouch I'm not cooking a bolognese I'm not making my husband a sandwich I bet when you look back and think to your TOWIE days where it's like somebody might say oh she's going out with him and she said this to him and now it's like George Harrison is using puppy pads so you think how the headlines have changed over the years yeah how did this happen that seems like a lifetime ago though yeah like TOWIE days and did you when you were younger did you always think right I want to get into tv work what was your journey into it no I was just like a mess when I was younger I was just like ADHD like drinking in a field smoking in a bush sort of vibes.

42:25Sounds a bit like with me as well. Those were the days. Yeah but no yeah like I just I was like really like go with the flow. I always thought that I would land on my feet. I wanted to work in the city. That was sort of like my aspiration but as I got a little bit older a lot of my friends were on TOWIE so I was hanging around with people like Georgia Kuzulu, like Fran Parman, like they were my friendship group. And did you go to school with them no so i actually went to school with fran's little brother right that's how i knew fran really well and then georgia we've just been friends for years i don't even know why i used to use her idea actually did you yeah yeah i was like near enough old enough um but yeah so i just saw the lifestyle that they were living and i thought it was like incredible and i was just like i want to slice that pie like literally getting paid to party have fun like we'd be out and someone from TOWIE would come in and everyone would be like, oh my God, like, it's Mark Wright or Sam Fez.

43:21And you would just think, you know, I always believe, I really believe in manifestation and I think it's easier to, like, manifest something or step into something that you think is believable. So it was like, yeah, I'm from Essex, these are my friends, like, I don't feel that hard. And that's when it would come into my mind I'd like to do it. But it did sort of fall into place naturally where people I was friends with just sort of said, oh, she'd be a good idea for the show. And were you nervous when you first did it? Oh, yeah, I was so nervous. like yeah i just got back from like living in marbella for a month i'd driven my car out there left it there i had like three strands of hair i look like homer simpson i was like so like malnourished um and i remember actually turning up in a bodycon dress with no knickers on and they were like where are we gonna put your microphone and i was like i don't know it's then a runner had to go and get me some knickers oh my god before i went down and i was only 19 and I was walking into like really big characters like you know Gemma Collins, Arge, Bobby, Pete Wicks was still there like it was a really like intimidating thing to do but I'm so glad I'd done it but I definitely wasn't as natural on camera as I am now like I had like that voice in my head of like do I look okay?

44:28Is this what I should be saying? Don't say that. Well there must have been so much pressure. And you were so young as well and it does feel like I mean we say that even now like we sound okay yeah we don't you know just like oh should i have said that oh did that come across in that way how i said it because i meant it in that way yeah you must just get that post-show paranoia yeah but i've always learned like now i've more learned like i just don't really have thoughts in my head when i'm doing something like this i'm like just completely present yeah and like just say whatever just hope for the best because otherwise it does like yeah you just otherwise you come out thinking oh i didn't my personality didn't come through there and i feel on TOWIE my personality didn't come through I was still like partying and like you know I'll probably get more airtime on this podcast than I did on on my whole TOWIE career so and what about Love Island what was that like and what did you prefer TOWIE or Love Island oh definitely Love Island yeah um Love Island was like crazy and I almost feel like you know everything happens for a reason and I think I was meant to get do TOWIE to have like a small glimmer of what fame is like before really like being like flooded in the street sort of thing so I knew what it felt like to be famous to be recognized um and I'd already had some experience like in front of cameras but obviously with Love Island you just filmed all the time whereas with Towie you're like standing on a mark and like the camera's coming in and someone's about to come in and speak to you and it all feels like a lot more um unnatural because it you know it is but that's the beauty of watching it that's where like the humor comes from and silliness and it's a completely different way of filming but uh love island you do forget the cameras are there because you're just you just constantly being filmed yeah and when you when i was i was like 21 it was so much fun i knew i was going from like an office job to literally getting free stuff sent to me i knew i was going to get big brand deals like i'd seen it was the third series so it was like olivia atwood kem chris like i'd seen how big it was so i knew every day i stayed in that villa was another day that i probably won't have to go back to my old job i remember one of the execs saying to me you're gonna buy your flat when you get out of this and i was like there's no way i'm gonna buy my flat like i've literally been in there two weeks he's like i guarantee you wait till you get your phone back you're gonna buy your flat and as soon as i about three months after i had the deposit for my first flat no way and when we got our phones back we were just like refreshing our page and refreshing it and it was going up like 50 000 80 000 90 000 like the followers were just because as you get out people want to see what you're doing yeah that's where the followers really go up and you're just like this is wild that's mad let's talk about body confidence how has your body changed during pregnancy motherhood how have you felt in yourself becoming a mother and your body changing and any differences yeah no i mean i felt quite good but i'm always on my feet as well so if anything like i i have found it easier to bounce back in terms of my weight without trying because I'm just doing so much all the time.

47:24Oh, you bitch. No, honestly, we're moving house. I've always just got the baby in my arms. You know what it's like? Yeah, yeah. I feel like I'm always moving from one thing to the next and I just survive off of like black coffee and prayers. Black coffee and prayers? Black coffee and prayers. Oh my God, I love that. That's like a good, that's like a good. That's a slogan, that is. I put it on a t-shirt. Black coffee and prayers. I like that. Yeah, I mean, my main changes, I guess, are my tits look like they've had a row of each other and I've got my C-section style. but that's about it and it's weird because after you breastfeed you're like what are those like they're like empty tea bags like proper saggy you're like well this is actually I don't know if I can live like this then it comes back doesn't it like they have come back but yeah they do look like they've just had like they've divorced yes but also these are all the parts that only your partner sees you know so if you love me you should be fine with anything that's changed me during motherhood and like I will get a new pair eventually but I'm going to wait till I have another kid are you well you've got to anyway I'm like six to seven years deep with these ones so apparently you have to refresh them every 10 years that will be my excuse when we get down to talk about the finances and the new boob job is first in mind are we going on holiday?

48:33no, I'm getting a new set of tits we're off to Skeggy this year exactly and how do you find it being a mum in the public eye? you know if you go into town or you go to a baby group and if your daughter like poos everywhere or like you know you have those moments where you're like oh my god I hope nobody can see me like any mum that doesn't have a profile it's like oh I hope nobody in the cafe sees me but for you it's like oh god I hope nobody sees me and takes a picture and you know that kind of thing do you feel a bit of pressure being in the public eye as a mum has that changed since becoming a mum I should say well like if every hour went she pooed on the floor it would be long but like um I think like more it's less when I'm out I actually do feel fine but it's more like uh I just really scrutinize everything I put on to social media and I'm like like going through my brain of what could what I'm gonna get picked on for do you know what I mean potentially so like even like I've been looking for an editor for ages but I like I'm even paranoid to send them like long clips in case there's something that someone can latch on to yeah so I think I second guess a lot that I post but when I'm out I do just sort of like get on yeah just get on with it yeah do you think you'll have any more yeah we we definitely want one more i remember when we had i don't know if you had this but when we were announced we were pregnant with our third i had two boys and then everyone was like do you want it to be a girl yeah i was like i don't care we're not finding out i don't care i just want it to be a healthy baby that's all i care about but that question over and over but it would be nice though oh I'll be third time lucky.

50:06Third time lucky. Yeah. You must really want a girl to go for a third baby. And it'd be like, no. No. I genuinely thought that I was having a... Have you had more than sickness? Yeah. Must be a girl. Oh, yeah. You've got heartburn. It must be a hairy girl then. Yes. Oh, my God. She's got a lot of hair. I'm like, no, I don't. Shut up. Isn't it weird? And it's generally people in the street. Like if I was with Bradley and Logan and I was obviously heavily pregnant and they're like oh i bet you hope it's a girl yeah and it's like no i just want a healthy fucking baby i'd always get you sure it's not twins oh yeah yeah yeah or like you must be due any second now i'm doing three months yeah so rude that's gonna be a big baby i'm not even that big i don't know why you're saying that like so fuck off yeah but people do that though don't they and it's like Like, it'll be a distant family member will say something.

51:04And you're like, I don't even know. Like, why would you say that? It's such a stupid thing to say. Yeah. I know. You'll want a football team, won't you? No, I just, like, I'm going to have a, what are you on about? When I was younger, I was always like, like football team, I want five. Like, I grew up around my best friend's house a lot and he was one of five boys. So I'd always be like, when I'm older, I want five boys. I want my house to be chaos and it's so much fun. and now I'm actually stepping into the role of the parent. I'm like, absolutely, hell no. Not unless I won the lottery and could hire a team of nannies and cleaners and chefs.

51:39I'm like, definitely one more. Maybe one day we'll stretch to three, but I think I would just be happy for her to have a sibling and that'd be enough for me. The only time where a woman or people feel like they can touch a woman without consent is when they're pregnant and they just go and touch the tummy. Did you get that a lot? and did you mind it yeah i did but i didn't i didn't mind it like i don't mind it but i always ask now yeah before i didn't i'd be like baby yeah whereas now i say can i touch your tummy and then they either say yes or no yeah i do you know what i hated i hated as someone with severe adhd having to answer the same questions i hated that more than the belly that is it a boy and now i ask them if someone's like if i'm with a pregnant person at a wedding or something naturally i ask about their baby but say i went to like a wedding with jack i have to answer is it a boy or a girl have you got the names like i felt like i was constantly having the same conversations it was like i identified as pregnant yes and i would be drained by the end of it of talking about like myself like over and over again the same few things like or you're gonna have it natural or you're gonna keep it a surprise and you're like you're reeling it off in the end like my personality's gone honestly that really got on my tits just get a t-shirt that just says don't know don't care yeah yeah yeah no you're right I remember those so we've teamed up with Aldi's Mimia range and we've been asking our community for their newborn and baby questions and this one caught our eye and I want to know what both your opinions are on this what you would do so uh this lady says I have a newborn baby six weeks old and I'm struggling to know how to ask for him back when visitors come around for a cuddle without sounding rude or ungrateful I'm happy to share him for cuddles but finding it really stressful when I can see he's signalling for food and I don't know how to negotiate the handover without causing offence what would you do?

53:35I'd say right give him back now give me my baby what would you do? well if the baby's showing signs of being hungry because I was so like militant with feeding times I would know oh he's due a feed now so he'd be like oh I'm so sorry I'm going to take it's like it's feeding time and then just take the baby off not like stand up and just physically take the baby away so i always felt really awkward with my first i felt almost yeah i was apologetic if my baby was crying and i know that he's hanging my my nipples are going yeah um i'd also be like sorry sorry can i just sorry excuse me sorry and then usually my mom or my mother-in-law would be like oh it's fine he's fine he's fine he just needs to burp and i'm like oh i think he's hungry so i i would be this person that's like you know i definitely did have those feelings sometimes where i'd be like oh like she's getting passed around the table like a hot potato yeah and i do sort of want her back now um but yeah i just i think like just being honest yeah but then i quite liked her being held once it was past like the the two weeks yeah bubble sort of thing but i was very much like wiping everyone down like i was very as well like do not kiss my baby like i'd be like yeah have you washed your hand do not kiss my baby like please don't put 45 squirts of lacoste perfume on yeah because i can't bath the baby every day and it fucking stinks of lacoste yeah and then you take the baby back and that gorgeous newborn baby smell you're like it doesn't smell like that anymore yeah and then you can just smell it for the next like 12 hours and you can only wash them with water it's not like you can just know a bit off a bit that used to really annoy me so i actually messaged a couple of like serial offenders that would stink of perfume I'd be like oh is it all right if you don't put perfume on I'm really sorry but like Annabelle's got allergies she didn't have allergies I just didn't want her to smell of their perfume yeah but yeah because you don't want to like be breastfeeding your baby in the middle of the night going you smell like Steve yeah this is odd you smell like Lynx Africa because Uncle Steve's been oh so to this lady I don't know I think just be honest and say i think if you're shy it's probably quite hard yeah confident person but yeah like just just be honest just be honest and say i think the baby needs to needs to feed because my nipples are going crazy right now if you're breastfeeding i guess but if you're not just be like it's time that is the weirdest feeling isn't it like you just know they're hungry because your tits are just like doing this weird thing or like some yeah sometimes you just see like a leak coming down you know oh yeah i used to wake up in the night just smothered in breast milk like oh and then And you smell a cottage cheese.

56:11I quite like the smell. I quite enjoy it. It's when you get a breast pad and you can just like wring it out. And you're like. Yeah, see, I never had that. So we have a little gift for you. Oh, thank you. Which we're very excited to give you. I was actually just thinking, do you know what? This is Andy's breakfast dinner. Yeah, we've got loads of goodies in there. All the good stuff. Award winning nappies and wipes and like the best snacks. So this is for you and Sahara. Thank you, Sahara. This is like my favourite smell. You know, the bedtime. These actually save me like when we're out. You know when they're just getting the oven because it's like near food, but it's not.

56:51I love these. But if you want to share right now, I wouldn't mind. Don't my mum and Jack always eat these. Oh, I love them. Biscoff. They're the best. Love. Oh, she loves the rust. Oh my God, I love them. She's going to love these. I'm actually salivating. I'm actually going to keep this. cheesy pie oh I get two you get two and I can actually use a nappy as well I really need the loo in this no that's how long I can keep it you've done that before Louise haven't you yeah I'm literally you've needed a wee the whole way through this I have so I think on that note we're going to have to unfortunately say that's all we have time for today but thank you so much for coming on thanks for having me and for what you're doing it's been so fun to talk about just like parenthood yeah I'm so pleased that this is your first parenting show to share everything and that you have such positive parenting styles you haven't psyched your partner off and you've talked about how much you enjoy motherhood which is actually really refreshing apart from when you said that you don't love sleep because that really pissed me off so yeah your baby sleeps really well your baby eats really well you lost all the weight really quickly we don't actually really want you on our sofa anymore we're done Georgia Harrison everyone
