NVIDIA is set to report second quarter earnings after the bell today. Investors will be laser focused on demand for the company's cutting edge AI chips and commentary from CEO Jensen Wang. And grocery giant Kroger laying off nearly 1 ,000 corporate employees. The company's CEO saying in a memo that Kroger is making structural changes to its teams across the U.S. He said Kroger will reinvest savings into other areas. Those include lowering prices, opening new locations and creating store level jobs.
0:38And Meta preparing to spend tens of millions of dollars into a new California super PAC to back candidates with a light touch on tech regulation. That's according to a political report that said that super PAC will support candidates for state offices, regardless of party, who favor AI innovation over stringent regulation. And shares of storage cloud company Box are higher. the company's earnings and revenue beating estimates boosted by momentum in its artificial intelligence offerings. And shares of Signet jewelers coming off a 3 % pop. Stock rose after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey announced their engagement on social media featuring an engagement ring that's been described as cushion cut.
