And they are all earnings movers. Let's go through the list. Shares of Expedia, they're soaring earnings and revenue, gross booking estimates, beating estimates, and the company raising its full year guidance results boosted by its business to business and advertising segments. Meanwhile, shares of Pinterest sharply lower earnings, missing estimates, but revenue and guidance topping expectations. The company's CFL telling analysts there is still some lingering concern from advertisers related to tariffs and broader market uncertainty.
0:38The shares of Instacart, they're rising. The delivery company reported order growth of 17 percent and offered upbeat guidance. The CFO saying a number of grocers lowered or removed price markups on Instacart's platform to match in-store pricing. And SoftBank shares jumped by more than 10 percent in trading in Tokyo. The company reported profit that came in more than three times higher than analysts expected. Shares of Sweetgreen, they're plunging. The restaurant chain's revenue missed estimates, and it reported a bigger loss than analysts had expected. Comp sales fell by 7.6%, and it slashed its guidance.
1:14The company facing tough comps from a very strong quarter just a year ago, when customers paid more for steak as a new menu option. Now the company's struggling to sell$15 salads to more price-conscious consumers. Joe? So that's what it is, sweet green. It's all salads. Have you been to a sweet green? Can I buy you a sweet green salad? No, you can't. I was going to say, I guess it's too much to hope that it's a green mole sauce on a big old cheesy burrito or taco or something. That's not what they mean by sweet green. They mean like vegetables and broccoli. Yeah. It's a broccoli. It's a salad place.
1:50Asparagus. It's a salad place. You know what happens with asparagus. I mean, I almost can't eat it because of that. I don't know if they have asparagus, but you know what? They make great salads. They do. Salads are good. Salads are good. I mean, you know, kissing your sister, it's not that great. But why are you laughing at that? Because you just said something out loud about the truth about salads. People don't say enough about... It's like you like a salad, but you don't love a salad. Cobb salad comes close, but you need the bacon to get it on the way, and cheese, stuff like that, right? Heavy dressing.
2:27Do you like when they say, do you want some protein? that kind of grosses me out. You know, it's shrimp or chicken. Right. By the way, that's how it's down. I think that's how it's listed. I think that's how it's listed on the Sweetgreen app, no less. As protein. You got to pick a protein, you know. By the way, they do that on like the Chipotle app now too. Pick a protein. We're going to be back later today with an all new Squawk Pod, our daily podcast featuring the best of Squawk Box. Check it out wherever you get your podcast and listen anytime.
2:59Thank you.
