0:01Hi, I'm Andrew Ross Sorkin, co-host of Squawk Box, and this is five things to know before today's opening bell. Computer memory and storage maker Micron reporting results above analyst expectations and issuing a solid forecast for the current quarter. Micron has become one of the beneficiaries of the AI boom, as chips like NVIDIA require increasing amounts of high-tech memory. Meantime, President Trump canceling a planned meeting with the top two Democrats in Congress over funding for the federal government. Government said to shut down at the end of this month unless a spending deal is reached.

0:33And the Associated Press reporting that the government's General Services Administration, or GSA, looking to rehire potentially hundreds of federal employees who lost their jobs in Elon Musk's Doge cost-cutting campaign. Because of that Doge push, some of those workers have essentially been on paid vacation for seven months. Disney raising the price of its Disney Plus streaming service. The ad-free version will cost$19 per month. That's up by$3. The ad-supported version will rise by$2 to$12 per month. And the valuation for private fintech company Stripe now has reportedly climbed above$106 billion.
