In short
A “special report” from CPAC in Dallas arguing that MAGA has turned Britain into a cautionary tale, fixating on alleged “Islamisation,” “Sharia law,” and a “deep state” that supposedly misleads Trump and drives foreign wars (especially Iran).
Guests (and backgrounds)
- Liz Truss, former UK Prime Minister; speaks about “Islamism,” “Sharia law,” and calls for a “Trump-style revolution” in Britain/Europe.
- Dr. Wack Joseph, combat veteran and Florida District 20 candidate; argues Trump is misled/manipulated by the deep state and that wars serve Israel/military-industrial interests.
- Mikey Smith (The Mirror), journalist; compares CPAC’s size/energy across years and discusses internal MAGA vs Reaganite views on Iran.
- Brandon Fellows (appears as a CPAC attendee), English; discusses “vigilante” deportation and detention fantasies.
- A January 6th defendant (pardoned by Trump), who denies “insurrection,” claims it was a setup, and argues the “insurrection wasn’t big enough.”
Key claims
- Britain is “living in MAGA’s head rent free” due to fears of Islamism and loss of sovereignty.
- Trump’s Iran/foreign-war shift is blamed on “deep state” capture and pro-Israel influence.
- MAGA’s media ecosystem sustains constant anti-“libs” messaging.
Notable examples
- CPAC heckling and “Persian flag” imagery; Iranian flags everywhere.
- Claims that Sharia courts exist in the UK and that Islamists are “taking over” (described as lies/no evidence by the hosts).
- January 6th pardoned guest’s “liberal plot” and “make it a real insurrection” remarks.

1:03This is a Global Player original podcast. I know how they do things in the UK. That's why your country's all fucked up. Why do you think the UK's fucked up? I think your country is going to shit. The insurrection wasn't big enough. I think it should have been an actual insurrection because then more lives would have been saved in the long run. Why don't you take the tanks and the grenades and the whole lot? I don't have a tank. I don't have a tank yet. Thank God. How about Londonistan? How about all the Islamisation that's taken over with this open border policy? How's that worked out? I thought the Church of England was the official religion of the United Kingdom.
1:33Why are you slagging Britain off, Lystra?
2:03All right. Howdy, folks. We are in Dallas. We are at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Committee, which is the heart of the modern American conservative movement. It is a place where conservative and sometimes very extreme ideas are debated. It's the heart of MAGA. And I'm currently watching, on the stage, Liz Truss, the former British Prime Minister, talking about the deep state and the rise of Islamism in the UK, talking about how we are increasingly having to worry about the rise of Sharia law in the UK. This might seem weird and eccentric, and in many ways, as she has become, it is. But in another way, it is not.
2:56Because this is a movement, MAGA. In transition, suddenly uncertain in itself, thinking perhaps about a post-Trump future as his popularity declines. They are increasingly uncertain of what they are for. But as we've discovered at this conference, they are absolutely certain about what they are not and what they dislike, what they politically abhor and the answer to that is us, the UK. This is our special report which shows MAGA at a crossroads and how Britain is living in their head rent free. Welcome to the News Agents.
3:46The News Agents. We've allowed Islamism to grow in our country, and that is the fundamental problem. And now I have called for a Trump-style revolution. That is what we need in Britain. The moment they try to put gay books inside your public school, you should open up your mouth and say the devil is a liar. I won't let the pornographics show up in my school. Because I told people that if you got the vaccine, it would turn you gay. that's not true. If you got vaccinated, you're already gay to start with. CPAC has been the vital organ of American conservatism for decades. Trump has spoken at every one for the last 10 years.
4:33We had a Republican Party that was ruled by freaks, neocons, globalists, open border zealots, and fools. We love you. You're saying that about... I hate to say it. Am I a politician? I don't know. Maybe I'm a politician. I hate to admit it, but that's really... It's an honor that you would say it. But we have a very crooked media. We had a crooked candidate too, by the way. But we have... We have a very... We have a very, very crooked media. Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up! The world is lost.
5:17Without it, the money it raises, the ideas it consecrates, there is no Trump. Last year was its zenith, basking in victory. Elon Musk on stage with a chainsaw and every single person in the room knew exactly what it meant. This is the chainsaw for bureaucracy. Chainsaw! But that was last year. This year, Dallas feels like the morning after a party no one quite remembers ending. It's nervier, less certain. Trump hasn't even confirmed his attendance. Iran looms large. It is a movement, however gingerly, just in the foothills of thinking about what a post-Trump world might look like. It's about a greater cause.
6:10and we all have to remember that because the left, the hard left, the Marxists, the statists, the communists, they love it when we're all fighting, when we're at each other's throats, when we're calling each other names. We cannot divide from within. We have to stay united to win these midterm elections. And you know who the enemy is? It's the communist. It's the socialist. It's the Marxist. It's Mondami. It's AOC. It's Chuck Schumer. So let's get in line. Let's fight together. Let's stay united. They want us divided. We have to stay united as a movement. It's very interesting, the message coming from the very first two speakers who run CPAC.
7:00It's actually them imploring everyone here to stay united, not to turn on themselves, not to say negative things in the media, which tells you something about where this moment is, intellectually and politically. I'm not going to start a war, I'm going to stop wars. No more wars, no more disruptions. We will have prosperity and we will have peace. Under Trump, we will have no more wars, no more disruptions, and we will have prosperity and peace for all. I am the candidate of peace. I am peace.
7:35Trump's politics is a mosaic that never stops shifting. But Iraq was always the central tile on the board. Its bloody futility, reanimated and isolationism the Republicans had almost forgotten they had. And those instincts are now twitching at the man who exhumed them. A ground invasion of Iran will make our country poorer and less safe. It will mean higher gas prices, higher food prices, and I'm not sure we would end up killing more terrorists than we would create. Do you think that he's, I mean, America first. I mean, did you imagine that that would mean a war with Iran? No. Not at all. I was actually hoping it wouldn't ever come to that.
8:20And I was hoping we would withdraw a lot of the support for the Ukraine war and many other things. So that we haven't really, you know, we have a lot of things to fix here at home. You know, we have a lot of illegal immigrants to get out. The new form of colonization that's been happening is flooding our country with illegals and our communities. My name is Dr. Wack Joseph, and I'm a combat veteran, proper water recipient, and a proudly candidate for District 20 in Florida. You're a veteran. Trump's big, big signature ideas was to not get involved in lots of new foreign wars. Yet here we are with America in its biggest foreign war in the Middle East for 20 years.
9:01What do you think of that? Has he let his own voters down? It's not about letting voters down because the system is greater than the president. The president came in as a manager, but the system has been there. The system is to generate from every president that came. What's left for them to generate it is bigger than them, than their policies. America got a continuous policy. No matter who's in power, whether it's left or right, whether it's the Democrats or Republicans, there's always the system. Is it about the deep states? The deep state, yeah, the deep state. So they are greater. They are the ones that control the economy.
9:44It's the military industrial complex. As a veteran myself, I fought two wars. I know what wars are like. And when it comes to that, President Trump is not the only one-man show because he had advisors. Now, we need to question who provides intelligence and information to intelligence. So you think, in a sense, that President Trump has been captured, at least on this, by the deep state? Basically been misled. Manipulated. Yes. Basically, I believe that 100%. Because you think the war is a bad idea? No, that's totally, this is a unprovoked war. There's no way you can provoke the war. They turn Iran into a good guy, into a defensive posture.
10:29Now, if you attack first, you have the legitimate right to defend yourself. So, because while we're in the war, Israel attacking Lebanon, Israel keep going, other war. Do you blame Israel? Of course. We're doing this work for Israel. 100 % it's for Israel. Do you think America should rethink its relationship with Israel? We should take a relationship with every country. Because one thing we should do, there's no country that has identical policies. No country that has foreign interests when it comes to the interests, when it comes to combat. I'm interested in what you said about Israel. Like, back in the day, the Republican Party, I mean, you couldn't put a cigarette paper between Israel and the Republican Party.
11:12Do you think the Republicans are rethinking, or MAGA is rethinking that relationship with Israel? I don't speak for MAGA, but I speak for the majority of Republicans. We must, because we're in debt,$39 trillion of debt. We already spent over$15 billion in the war. And let alone, we lost 32 planes and aircrafts. That's over$1.4 trillion. We lost. So what caused? And then we have Americans, homelessness. We got drugs problem in the United States, homelessness, and also people gave in healthcare. So we can spend at home. Is everybody in agreement that President Trump needs to think this through because the impact of this will last decades and decades and decades?
12:02The president listens to you. Trust me, they will take this clip and show it to the president tonight. So I want to make sure that you've thought this through. How many here, just at the 65%, that said finish what we started, does that include going to Tehran, removing this regime, and putting in a friendly government? Whoa! Hardcore mega. You were heckling just now. I wasn't heckling. No, I saw a bunch of Iranian folk here looking very, very happy today. And, you know, what I'd say to them is strap on a rifle and head home. They can make Iran great again. They should do that. They can't get us in trouble.
12:49Same goes for, you know, other Middle Eastern powerful countries. Talking about Israel? Yeah. What do you think about Israel? It's a wonderful place, great people, God bless them. But, you know, we have to pay attention to American problems. And, you know, it's not Israel first, it's America first. So do you think Trump screwed up? No, I don't know. I love the old man. I have huge faith in him. And I'm counting on him to pull it out. one way or the other. What if he sends troops in? I don't want him to do that. Every time we do that, we mess it up. We oversimplify. You know, it's just, it's this stupid answer.
13:45And if he does it, will you keep supporting him or will that be a break point? I love the old man. I mean, you know, the hell that he has gone through, the trial in New York, I mean, you know. Now this guy up here, he actually went to prison. Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon went to prison. That dude is a stud. Trump is a stud. So yeah, those guys have enormous, I just have huge respect for them. It is telling. Even those skeptical about Iran are compelled to absolve Trump, the man who led them there. Trump hasn't betrayed them. He's been captured by the deep state, by Israel, by his advisers, by anyone else.
14:30But the idea that any of this finally severs the bond between Trump and his base, and this is the thing that finally breaks it, is a delusion with a long and embarrassing history. They said Pussygate would do it. Ten years ago, it didn't. The most popular item of clothing at this year's CPAC? It's the Persian flag. the orange Pied Piper plays and he is followed in the red, white and green. Mikey Smith from The Mirror. This is my first CPAC. This is your third. Yes. So you can compare in terms of size, mood. How did you compare it to, say, last year? I mean, this is certainly bigger. It's been in Washington, D.C.
15:11the last couple of times I've been. And this is... They were booing D.C. earlier. They were booing D.C. I mean, in Texas, everything is bigger. So it's certainly bigger as far as the number of people is concerned. I think it's about the same. And the energy, the feeling? Because last year was so triumphant, wasn't it? You had Musk with a chainsaw, all that sort of stuff. It's early days. Most people have only got here this morning. But it does feel a little bit flatter than it has in previous years. I think a big part of that is because we're not sure if Trump is coming at all. The last we heard is he isn't planning.
15:46first time in 10 years he's not put in an appearance. But they're being very tight-lipped about the schedule for the rest of the thing. So he may turn up unannounced in the last day. And that would give a lift, I think. But I suppose in a way, it might be slightly more or so right about the tenor of where Magaism is at, right? I mean, it's way more. I mean, last year, moment of the triumph, post-election, they seem utterly king of all these surveys. A year later, he's so unpopular. and he's basically also doing something he said he would never do, which is get the US involved in a potentially intractable war in the Middle East.
16:22Although weirdly, if you look at the polling, people who identify as MAGA support the war by 70%. And Iranian flags are everywhere here. Yeah, I've got to say that the two constituencies here tend to be like the old guard Reaganites, who've been coming since it started back in the 80s, and the younger, sort of, noisier MAGA types. And the MAGA types aren't actually that opposed to the Iran war themselves, and the Reaganites love it, because this is their thing. So, weirdly enough, it's actually uniting the sort of different pillars of the Republican Party. Weirdly so, and it's completely at odds with the rest of the country, which majority oppose the war.
17:06We're not the only Brits here, of course. Liz Truss is here. I think you saw a fringe last night. Just explain, it's kind of like people listening and watching might find it weird. I mean, everything about her is a bit weird, but that she should be here. What's she been saying? I mean, why is she here? It is definitely weird that she's here. It's her third year in a row as well. I've seen her the last two years. She ain't got much else on. Well, there is that. She was at the international conference yesterday accusing Keir Starmer of, and I'm quoting, batting for the other team in the Iran conflict.
17:36She said that Starman didn't want to get involved in Iran because he was afraid of losing his Islamist base. She's on a panel later on today, the title of which is Europistan. So you kind of get the tone of... Europistan? Europistan. That's our former British Prime Minister suggesting that basically Britain has fallen to Islamism. Yeah, that's the vibe, yeah. We've allowed Islamism to grow in our country, and that is the fundamental problem. And now I have called for a Trump-style revolution. That is what we need in Britain. That is what we need in Europe, because most people in our country don't agree with all this stuff.
18:24They want to have a family. They want to buy a house. They want a nice car. They want to go on holiday. They want to live in a Christian country. They don't want their country taken over. Liz Truss, hi. Have you got two minutes for the newsagents? Why not? We want to ask you why you've been spreading lies about Britain. Why are you lying about Britain? Why are you slagging Britain off, Liz Truss? You say you love ideas, Liz Truss. Gentlemen, gentlemen, go ahead and do stand there. If she doesn't want to speak with you, please go.
18:56Well, apparently... Apparently Liz Truss doesn't want to talk to us. Despite the fact that she's been going around the last couple of days, including at this conference, saying that Islamism is backing the government, for which there is no evidence, and she says that there is Sharia law in Britain, and that's a problem, also a complete lie. That famous ideological warrior once again deciding that she doesn't want to talk to anyone who disagrees with her. But there we go. But Truss's inclusion here is no freak accident, unlike her premiership. Rather, it is a reflection of something deeper. The UK-US relationship was once an article of faith on the American right.
19:39Now they are looking at us through a mirror darkly, and they don't like what they see. What is the first truly Islamist country that will get a nuclear weapon? And we were like, maybe it's Iran, maybe Pakistan already kind of counts. And then we sort of finally decided, maybe it's actually the UK, since labor just took over. As you guys have birthed free speech to the world, you now guys are becoming a totalitarian country. You have places where, in the UK, you have a terrible mayor of London, terrible, he's an incompetent guy. But you have Sharia courts. You don't have Sharia courts. You don't want Sharia courts.
20:16You have Sharia courts adjudicating law. So it's very simple. Immigration, very importantly, immigration and energy. And you bring it back. Otherwise, you're not going to bring it back. One of the most remarkable things about the second Trump presidency is not how much we've been interested in him and MAGA, but how much he and they have been interested in us, a shared UK-US radical right information ecosystem. In Britain, they're... I kid you not. How can this be real? They are releasing convicted pedophiles from prison in order to put people in prison for Facebook posts. But this is more than news obsessives being, well, obsessive.
21:06For Trump's America, Britain has become a morality tale. They used to want to make America great. Now they just want to make sure it doesn't become us. I wonder what you thought, he's been insulting our country quite a lot recently. He's been saying our Prime Minister is a bit of a coward and everything like that. From the UK. Just wondered if you had any thoughts on what's going on in Europe at the moment. You're being overtaken by the Muslim Brotherhood over in the UK. That's very apparent. We see that, you know. Or is the news telling the truth on that? Because that's what they're saying, that the Muslims are taking over in the UK.
21:39Does that bother y 'all? Does that bother you? Well, to be honest, I mean, I live there and I haven't really noticed the Muslims taking over, to be honest. But you think they are. I was just there last summer and I noticed it. You noticed it? Yes, in London, I did. What did you notice? That there was a lot of Muslims there. All the hotels that we went into, the stores we went into, they were all operated by... They're asking for Sharia law. You know, in that area, the news has reported that, that they're asking for Sharia law. We don't have Sharia law in Britain. I know that... You're asking for it, though.
22:11You know, the population is growing, and don't you think that could be the next infiltration that they're, you know... You think it's an infiltration? Oh, definitely, because I think they want to take over the Western world. We know that. Madam, you notice all the Muslims in Britain. I mean, a lot of them are, you know, they'll be British Muslims, right? And there's a lot of Muslim Americans. It's not a problem, is it? I mean, they're as British as I am, and they're as American as you are. It's okay. They just have different beliefs than we do. Yes. I'm a Christian. Well, even Muslim, there are lots of Muslim Americans who believe the same things as you, won't they?
22:46I don't think so, but... No. They're Muslim, but they have to do it. That's okay. They've just come up to me and said that you support the idea of Rupert Lowe for Prime Minister. Absolutely. The MP for Great Yarmouth. Absolutely. Why? I think he's a British patriot. I think he's got the best interests of the British people at heart, and I think he's a great qualification for Prime Minister. Well, Kirsten will be a patriot as well. Not as much so as Rupert Lowe. He is? He just disagrees with Rupert Lowe about what patriots are. I didn't say he wasn't. I said not as much so as Rupert Lowe. Two different things.
23:14Why is Rupert Lowe more patriotic than Keir Starmer? I'm a young man. I don't know if you need to know, but the economy is not great for young men right now. I think a politician that has a strong view of an economic foundation for the country is very important. Not if you're a young Muslim man. Mass deportation matters a lot in order to gain good employment for young men. Not if you're a young Muslim British man. Wouldn't help you very much Rupert Lowe's idea of a new future for Britain, would it? I'm confused on what a young British man is. A young Muslim British man? Yeah, I'm confused on what that is.
23:46Let me explain. It's a young man who is British who is also Muslim. I thought the Church of England was the official religion of the United Kingdom. Yes. Great Britain. But there are Catholics as well and they're British and then there are Sikhs and they're British and there are Hindus and they're British and then there are Muslims who are British. Okay. Just because we've got an established church doesn't mean we don't allow other churches. Okay. Simple enough, isn't it? It is. Yeah, yeah. It makes sense. Keir Starmer. Why do you think he's crazy? Well, I don't know. It's very noncommittal. Noncommittal?
24:18Well, and it's kind of frustrating because the continent and the UK would be speaking German if it wasn't for us. So we're trying to eliminate a nuclear future for Iran. That's something that everyone should be concerned about. I mean, he was threatening to invade Greenland, which is European territory the other week. So I suppose maybe we're a bit pissed off with him as well. I don't think Greenland and nuclear war are exactly on the same stage. Yeah, but I mean, I suppose if you're threatening to invade an ally's sovereign territory, it's not ideal. I don't think he threatened to invade. He wants it, or he said he wanted it.
24:54Whether that's true or not, time will tell. So you think that America should pull out a NATO? Yes. You do? Yes. And the UN. And would you vote for, would you be looking for a future Republican candidate to commit to that, to pulling out of NATO? Would that attract your vote? It wouldn't be a deciding factor, but it would be a good thing for them to have on their platform if they actually follow through with it. And you think in terms of our country going to hell, that's interesting. A lot of people here do seem to think that, that Britain's got a Europe as well that's going to hell. Yeah. Do you agree?
25:24It's completely libtard. Taken over by the Muslims. By the Muslims. Yeah. And all the green policies that do not do anything to benefit the country. I mean, I'm from there, and I can tell you the Muslims haven't taken over. Really? No. In London, they're everywhere. We've got a lot of Muslims who live in London, but there are lots of every type of person. I stayed at an Airbnb about three years ago, and it was run by the Muslims. I was like... Let me go get Debbie. Okay. So are you going to stay like... Do you want to come with me? Yeah. Thank you very much. Thank you.
26:01Well, I for one can't wait to get back to the caliphate. Oh, this only such relates to us. A police dossier, it's the British who murder our presidents. What do you mean by that? Well, if you open it up and I welcome you to read it, we go through and for example, in 2018, the House of Lords wrote a report, public report, saying we can survive one term of Donald Trump, but not two. And that is detailed in here. But we, the Privy Council, as I understand it, now you can correct me if I'm wrong. They have political independence. We'd like to control them. They've got loads of oil and gas, but unfortunately it's theirs.

26:35What about Mark Carney, former head of the Bank of England? Former governor of the Bank of England, yeah. You know, World Economic Forum. Right. The Green Agenda that goes back to 2016, 17. But, I mean, it was the Confederacy that killed Lincoln. And that was an American thing. Or rather it was Wilts Booth, who was a Confederate. He was, but he was also tied into networks that were created by British intelligence. That's what I'm trying to... British intelligence didn't exist then, in the 1860s. Oh, really? You don't know about Lord Palmerston? Yeah, he was the Prime Minister. You don't know about the networks that he was involved in or Jeremy Bentham?
27:09Well, he was MI5, MI6, British intelligence. They didn't exist. That may be more modern names, but the British... The empires have always used intelligence to run their agenda. That's the empire. But at the time in the Civil War, I don't want to get in the weeds, but at the time in the Civil War, I mean, British people were boycotting Southern cotton. We were on Lincoln's side. So why would we have killed him? No, I didn't say the people did. Just intelligence. I'm saying the networks. Actually, I'm just interested because something we've noticed being British here is that a lot of people here, they think Britain's a bad place at the moment.
27:42That Britain's not going well. How much is gasoline per gallon? Oh, yeah. I mean, that's not going well, 100 percent. Although Trump hasn't helped with his war, but never mind. How about Londonistan? How about all the Islamisation that's taken over with this open border policy? How's that worked out? Well, I live in London, and it's not Londonistan. It's a place where, actually, people get on pretty well. It's a brilliant city to live in, a fantastic city. Well, that's nice. But are you talking about the entire city? Well, obviously, it's a complicated place, but Muslims aren't in charge, if that's what you mean.
28:12Okay, well, that's... But I'm interested. Why do you think that is? Why do you think that is true? Because a lot of people do think that here. I mean, you know, it is a common view. Why? Why? Because we see the open border policy, which is a policy to destroy the sovereignty of any nation. We don't have an open border policy. I mean, there is a legal immigration just like there has been here and there is here, but it's not an open border. Because the left, we're going to just outbreed them. Can I get a witness? Can I get an amen? We're just going to outbreed the left. You ever met a lib? They're hideous.
28:44Nobody wants to have sex with them. The pink hair, the yellow teeth. Plus they're cutting their dicks off. It makes it very easy for us. So you might be listening or watching this and thinking, how can it be after all this time, after all this political attrition, after all the objective political damage that Trump has had, how can it be that so many people seem to believe what they believe, or they believe in these assertions which continue to be just either factually wrong, if not outright bizarre? Well, this is your answer. Where I am standing right now is the answer. in the media pen of CPAC.
29:17And it's not, you know, CNN and NBC and the rest of them or the equivalents who get at a British Party conference. What you have is stand after stand after stand after stand of alternative news sources, news outlets, whether it is podcasts or TV channels or online TV channels, whatever it happens to be, organisations and outlets that literally would not have existed 10 years ago that are all in some way umbilically connected, really, to Donald Trump and the MAGA movement itself. And there is absolutely zero incentive, just commercially speaking, zero incentive commercially for any of these people to ever brave with Trump because they know that is not what their listeners or their viewers or their readers or their subscribers want.
30:01They want all Trump all the time, all Trump glorification all of the time, and they want to bash the libs. And that is going to endure and sustain right up to the 2028 race. That is how Trump's grip and power is way stronger now than it was certainly 10 years ago when he first came on the scene, or even five years ago. He has incubated a whole separate, not just he's taken over the Republican political party, sure, but what he's also done is create an entirely separate political information universe, and that is not going to disappear. MAGA is completely convinced that Europe has fallen. These ideas would once have been confined to the extreme right.
30:46For instance, neo-fascist groups like the Proud Boys. And they're here too, including their leader, who was imprisoned on January 6th. How is it being out of prison? I mean, it feels great. It's good to be out here, especially here in CPAC, with my fellow conservatives. But being out of prison is really good. I recommend it. I mean, just for people who don't know, President Trump pardoned you. You were one of the January 6th insurrectionists, and President Trump pardoned you. The alleged insurrectionists, yes. Did insurrection not take place? No, insurrection didn't take place. It didn't? No. What happened then?
31:24In order for insurrection to take place, then you would need like an armed insurrection to attempt to overthrow the United States government. And that's not what was happening. Even if you were to give it the credence that the prosecutors gave it, because they didn't even call it an insurrection, that they tried to stop the certification of the election. Do you think you did anything wrong that day? Absolutely not. You said on the day of the capital attack, you told your followers, do what must be done. What did you mean by that? I put that on parlor as a celebration, yes. I was proud of what happened that day, of course.
31:57Afterwards, in internal chats, you said, make no mistake, we did this. That didn't come from internal chats. That came from public postings. Okay, well, either way, make no mistake, we did this. What did you mean by it? So it's funny that I have Matt Gaetz sitting behind me. Matt Gaetz posted that Antifa were the ones that did it, and I said, no, no, no. So it was from the quarter. Antifa did Jan Singh? Yes. You don't believe that? I don't believe that. I think Antifa was there, of course. But they weren't trying to prevent the certification, were they? They weren't there. Oh, actually, a couple of them were trying to prevent the certification because they were trying to find it.
32:34It was mainly Trump's boys trying to do that. I would say that there were some people that didn't want the certification of the election to happen, of course. Mainly Trump's people, though, wasn't it? In fact, almost exclusively. I think, yes, I think mostly it was Trump's people, and that's what I was saying. It wasn't Antifa. So, yes, I put that on my social media. Celebration doesn't, I don't know how they, oh, I know how they do things in the UK. That's why your country's all fucked up. Why do you think the UK's fucked up? I think your country is going to shit. You have a horrible immigration problem.
33:03You have a horrible mass violence problem that's happening over there. Like what? And the UK doesn't belong to the British people anymore. You've allowed mass immigration to completely screw up your country. I was in London three months ago and almost got mugged three times going to my car. Even in the worst city in the country for crime, that doesn't happen to me. So I'm happy that I do not live in your country. Well, it's weird because I live in Britain and I've done all my life. You live in London? Never happened to me, yeah. You live in London? Yeah. And that doesn't happen to you? Never, not once.
33:37Okay, well, as a person that's only been there a couple times? Yeah, of course. And you were there multiple times? I was attempted, people were attempting to take my wallet, yes, multiple times. It's just weird how I live there and that never happens. And right next to Buckingham Palace, you've got people that look like zombies sitting there infested. The drug infestation is ridiculous. Have you been to downtown San Francisco recently? Oh yeah, look, I said it's bad. I said there is American cities, but they're not as bad as London. You say like, I mean, you know, Britain's had this immigration problem out of control.
34:07I mean, just remind me how most Americans came to be in America. Your country decided to kick us out and then we kicked your ass. Yeah, absolutely. Back to back, actually twice. We kicked your ass twice. More of 1812 was a bit of a draw, but let's not like, you know, let's not get bogged down by that. Yeah, so you got your ass kicked twice. I wouldn't want to say that. But the point is... And then we saved you again during World War I and II. Thanks for that. Yeah, no problem. But I just wonder how you think America, like most of the people in this room, like how do they all get here? Well, let me tell you, look, I'm not saying that illegal immigration is good, right?
34:44Getting over here legally is great, but you guys are just allowing mass migration. And one of the reasons why we have Donald Trump... But you guys allow mass migration. You're actually talking to me here is we were sick of the immigration problem, which you guys have completely allowed to happen over there. But you guys allowed mass migration to happen. During the Biden administration? Absolutely. No, throughout the whole 250-year history of America. And that's why Donald Trump is here, because, of course, his father, or his grandfather, I should say, was German, and his mother was Scottish. So if it wasn't for mass migration, your great hero wouldn't be here.
35:17No, no, no. Migration and mass migration are two different things. That's why you have such a problem is because you confuse it too. But millions and millions. You allow Muslims. Far more people arrived in America in the 19th century, in the early... You allow Muslims to take over your country. You allow them to fucking put their balls on the ground and piss on your trees and do public prayer. And you allow that to happen across the country. But Muslims haven't taken over the country. Your country? Of course it is. Did you just tell me that you live in London? What's your evidence for that? Have you walked down the streets of London before?
35:48I have too. Every day. I have to. Because I live there. I have to. They're praying on the fucking ground. They're praying in groups. They're conquering. I thought you people like praying. They're conquering your country. I thought you like religion. No, I don't like Muslims at all. No, clearly. No, I don't. You don't like any Muslim? No, I don't. Why not? I don't. What have they done to you? Islam's entire existence is based on conquest. And they've conquered your country. As opposed to the United States. All of Europe. Yeah, look. There's some cities. Yes, because of migration. Manifest destiny?
36:19We got Mamdani now. How are the Native American Indians doing? Well, they got conquered by... By you. Thank you. So your civilization is also based on conquest. So nobody has the right to exist unless you can keep it. And you guys, unfortunately, I feel so horrible for you. I was actually with my friend Tommy Robinson the other day. I had an interview with him. And he has the same sentiment that I do. Does it not undermine your case when you say you don't like any Muslims? like none. I mean that's just deeply bigoted isn't it? I mean if you want to call me bigoted that's fine. Islamophobic yes.
36:57You're happy to own that? I own it yes. You're happy to own your prejudice? I am happy to own that yes. Yeah they're violent vile religion. All of them? The billion or so there are of them in the world? They're all little kids and the old nanas and they're all violent. They belong on their side of the country. If they had their own... Why isn't Dubai or the UAE taking anybody from Gaza their own people? And the truth is it's because of that religious extremism that they have. You don't think you might be the extremist by any chance? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Tarrio isn't alone. Many of Trump's own militia, the pardoned January 6thers, are treated as minor celebrities, folk heroes at CPAC.
37:44What's your name? I'm fellows though so my family comes from England. What's your name? Brandon fellows Brandon fellows English. Oh, well, well, welcome aboard We'll have you back. You're wearing an ice immigration. Are you an ice officer? Are you just doing out of solidarity? I voluntarily deport them I just catch them if I think that they're illegal I catch them and I bring them bring them wherever I feel you catch them Yeah, yeah, look I got like a vigilante Yeah, like look I got my stockade here medieval stockade you put them in that they got little cuffs So you don't seriously put people in?
38:15Yeah, I'll put anybody in this. Look, I got a super secure lock. It's ready to go. Yeah, it looks like a chopping board, mate. Well, it might be, but listen, my building skills are getting tougher. Put some tapenade in. This one's from one that escaped when I caught him. I should have locked the car, but I didn't. You're not playing a bit of a role, are you, by any chance? No, no, no, no. Real kidnap. They're going to have to look into me. You said that when we were talking to Mr. Torrio there, you were basically saying you don't like Muslims. We were in jail together. You were in jail together?
38:44Yeah. The same prison? Yeah, well, I've been moved 12 times, yeah. Supreme, Supreme. Are you not ashamed to have been there that day? No, not at all. What I think people should be ashamed about is still running for the narrative that it wasn't a giant setup. They lied for years under oath that there weren't a whole bunch of FBI agents, and why'd they lie about that? So the whole world saw something that wasn't there? Well, what I'm asking you and many other people is why did they continuously get caught in lies about that day? Why can't, if it was so bad, why can't they stick to the truth? You went into the Congress, you went into Nancy Pelosi's office.
39:11We didn't all go in there. Lots of people didn't. And lots of people were welcomed in. You think it was all a liberal plot? Well, what I'm asking you is why would they do that? You think it was all a liberal plot? What I'm asking you is why would they do that? Well, I don't think they did that. Well, then you need to educate yourself because they did. What was it all a liberal plot? William Pope. William Pope. J6, was it all a liberal plot? Not all of it, but it was set up like that. They were there to rile people up. And if you look into William Pope's case, you'll find yourself very, very unpleasantly surprised with your narrative.
39:35And don't you think that if Trump hadn't lied about the election, none of that would have happened? So it's ultimately the fact you ended up in prison was basically his fault. I'll tell you, you know what? Everybody argues about this court case, that court case. You know what the best evidence in my view is for the stolen election? Hunter Biden laptop cover up again, another government cover up. They said that that wasn't his laptop. And when it came out that it was, they said if people knew that it was his laptop, it would have caused the independents and the Democrats enough to change the vote over even if you believe there was no election fraud.
40:02That in itself is election interference, meaning we had a right to overthrow the government, even though we didn't. We all love guns. We didn't shoot any police that day, and we could have. And in my view, my very radical view, I think we would have saved a lot of lives if we had a real insurrection that day. I don't think Ukraine would have happened. I don't think the Afghanistan debacle would have been as bad. Oh, right. The insurrection wasn't big enough. I think it should have been an actual insurrection, because then more lives would have been saved in the long run. Well, next time, why don't you take the tanks and the grenades and the whole lot?
40:29I don't have a tank. I don't have a tank yet. Oh, thank God. Well, maybe in the future I'll get one. Yeah, you know, the worst thing is, Matt, I think you might be right. Nice to meet you. Yeah, enjoy England. We will. But there was something else running underneath all of this. Shortly after our encounter, that January 6th defendant came back to find me. You're doing a bit, he said. I'm doing a bit. We both know what we're doing. Maybe. But that is too easy an escape route. Because the performance and the belief are not mutually exclusive. They never have been with this movement. What is undeniable is the infrastructure that has grown up around it.
41:08There is a MAGA information universe. There is also a MAGA commercial universe. Influencers, journalists, political figures, from Bannon all the way down to Trust, who make their living off this movement's survival and therefore need it to survive. That has its own momentum. It is one of the reasons this movement, unlike almost every presidential movement before it, may not die with its maker. Too many people need the grift to endure the real attention economy.

Find out the latest news and hear every side of the story. We're dealing with some people that I find to be very reasonable, very solid.
42:33We have a very serious chance of making a deal. The day on which almost all of the world recognised that Donald Trump is a deranged liar. So what on earth happens next? The fallout of the Iran war. Follow it live on LBC. Listen on our free global player app or the LBC app.
42:55The news agents. Arrest and deport. Yes. I'm going to make that my tramp stamp. Attention economies need enemies, real or imagined. The machine doesn't much care. And I cannot stress enough to you how Britain, our country, has become one of theirs. I'm very struck being here today. I mean, there are lots of people like yourself. They're very, very interested in Islamism and Sharia. Do you think that the job of MAGA now, is it to combat Islamism? Is that what you think the purpose of the movement is now? I don't think it's just the job of MAGA. It's the job of the American people because it violates our constitution.
43:37Our constitution gives us the rights and it gives us the laws under which we operate. Sharia law wants to replace our constitution. How many Islamists do you think there are in the United States? Too many. These people that are going to jail are not people that have done violence. It's being interpreted as they're upsetting another segment of society, which always happens to be the Muslim side. I'm really surprised to hear you talking like this coming from England. Well, it might be because... I mean, I've been to England to help address this issue, and there's a lot of people that are concerned about this.
44:10There are people who are concerned, and I'm not saying that there won't be problems here and there, but what I am saying is, has it occurred to you that maybe, that these problems have been exaggerated? Well, you know that's your opinion. No, it's something I'm putting to you. I don't think they've been exaggerated. I think they've been suppressed. And I don't think that people have a free voice in England. If they can take over Texas, they can take over the whole country. They've already taken over New York City. They're cow-towned in Mondame. They're doing prayer rugs in the fire department where they've got a sacred plaque up there with 323.
44:50environment that gave their life on 9-11. They got a damn prayer rug right in front of it all over. And the elites in New York City are kowtowing to them. So just to recap what we've just been hearing at this, whatever this is, we've seen New York fall. We've seen Canada fall. There are many ways to conduct jihad. We need to get Sharia out of the Constitution. We've seen Berlin, London, Paris fall to the Muslims and Islamic law. or we need to defend the constitution against Sharia law, or we need a patriot economy to protect us against Islamification of the United States, on and on and on it goes.
45:30I said before that they don't talk about their achievements. That is true. Instead, they are talking about an invocation of an enemy within, time after time after time after time. And I don't say this lightly because I don't really like these comparisons especially. But the way that this movement talks about Muslims is very similar to how Nazis and the far right in the 1930s spoke about Jews. About that enemy within, about the threat from within, from that, and how it must be stopped at all costs. That is just an objective fact. And if you're wondering how it can be that this movement which has fought against foreign wars and held Trump up as its talisman against that for all those years can reconcile themselves, despite the fact there's obviously concern about it here, nonetheless can reconcile themselves to the idea of the Iran war.
46:25It's because the two things are connected. This they see not so much as a war against any particular country, but there's a war against that civilizational struggle against Islamism. They constantly talk not about Iran and stopping Iran from getting the nuclear bomb, but Islamists getting the nuclear bomb. And that is how the two things cohere, and is how those two twin ideas can sit entirely comfortably in these people's heads.

47:35The News Agents. Didn't they just pick a gay Ayatollah? Like, I just think that's Asalama fabulous. I think a gay Ayatollah in charge of Iran is definitely mission accomplished. I'm not for Pride Month in June in the United States, but I'm not entirely sure I'm against it in Iran. There's a thing that a lot of people, particularly liberals, particularly Europeans, Brits, don't understand about MAGA. Or maybe sometimes don't want to understand because they don't want to listen. And they instantly want to think the worst of it. Which is that there have been moments, and certainly I think actually it has been a pretty fundamental characteristic of the MAGA movement, that it's actually been quite an optimistic movement.
48:23There's been a lot of optimism to it. I know that might sound weird. Yes, it's clearly got a darkness to it. You know, Trump talked about American carnage in 2017. But it was, you could say, it had a sort of optimistic end point. It was, if we have the courage to do it and to listen to Trump, we will make America great again. And yeah, there were dark racial ideas sometimes underpinning that. And there was always an underbelly. But now the darkness has taken over the light. And if you think back to where we were a year ago, after the election, I was in Washington, D.C. for the inauguration. And all of the talk, all of the talk was this astonishing, multi-racial, working-class coalition that Trump had put together.
49:05Younger voters, Latino voters, black voters. And this was going to remake American politics. And I think MAGA and Trump did have an astonishing opportunity to do just that and actually bring about a long-term realignment like FDR did or like Reagan did. My feeling now is that it's slipping away. It is slipping away because this movement is giving into its worst instincts and its most basic reflexes. This is no longer a movement defined by what America might be. It is defined solely by what it must not become. The country that looked away too long. It used to be that America's drift from Britain was about money, about dues unpaid.
49:47That's no longer the case. Now it is values. At CPAC, I was told repeatedly that we are different civilisations now, that we in Europe have moved away. Whoever moved, and someone has, I couldn't help but think, leaving Dallas, that they might be right. This has been a special episode of the News Agents from Dallas. It was produced by our executive producer, Louis Dagenhart, shot and edited by Shane Fennelly. Our editor is Tom Hughes. We'll be back on Monday. Have a lovely weekend. This has been a Global Player original production. Thank you.

CPAC is the biggest event in the MAGA calendar. Last year, it was a triumphant celebration of the total victory of the America First project. Donald Trump basked in the adulation. Elon Musk wielded a chainsaw and laughed maniacally.
This year, something feels different. The President, who has spoken at each conference for the past decade, is suggesting he's staying away this time. The war in Iran has got attendees feeling uneasy, even confused - what happened to the man who promised no more foreign intervention?
And there's a wider malaise. Trump is polling at an all-time low. The Republicans look like they're heading for a hammering in the midterm elections. Their grip on cultural and political domination - which just 12 months ago looked complete - is now weakening. You won't hear much talk of a Trump third term in Dallas any more.
The sunny optimism of MAGA has been replaced by something darker. There is increasing focus on a new enemy - Islam and Islamism. It's helping the base reframe and justify the attack on Iran; one event is literally titled 'MAGA vs. Mullah Madness'. It's helping them sustain an argument about the decline of Europe and the threat of the Democrats. And it's helping a very strange mix of characters stay relevant and keep the bookings coming in.
Liz Truss was at the Gaylord Convention Center telling a packed out crowd about the horrors of 'Europestan'. Is it any wonder that MAGA hates Britain?
