0:03Millie Bright:Hello everyone, welcome to Daily Brightness, mine and Rachael's favourite episode. It is the Q &A. Rach, kick us off.

0:11Rachael O'Neill:Right, first question. What was your favourite event at the Winter Olympics? I've been well into the Winter Olympics.

0:17Millie Bright:I've been dipping in and out to be honest, but all I think of when I think of that is, oh, do you know what I have been seeing a lot of, I don't know what it's called, but when they do the skiing and it's like really bobbling and they go up on a thing and I seen that dude that went over the finish line backwards.

0:31Rachael O'Neill:I don't think I saw that.

0:32Millie Bright:On the skis. I don't know what it's called.

0:34Rachael O'Neill:There's loads of skiing ones. I watched ones, you know, and they go all the way down that thing. It's a massive half-high. And they go off and it's like...

0:41Millie Bright:Oh my God. Yeah, but the girl, I find it hard to watch after she had that bad fall and then... Yeah, that was bad.

0:49Rachael O'Neill:Did you see that one girl we were watching? The girl, it's not funny. But the girl landed and as she's landed and knees are bent and her face is going down and she's gone straight up. I was like, oh that looks sore but do you know what I like well I love ice hockey

1:00Millie Bright:yes I love watching the ice hockey

1:03Rachael O'Neill:and I love I find the skeleton so interesting how they go so streamlined around that narrow little

1:12Millie Bright:it's crazy isn't it refreshing at winter olympics like it's so like it's sports like you just you see them do certain things and I'm like I didn't even know that existed I like the curling

1:22Rachael O'Neill:my mum hates it she's like it's like watching paint dry

1:24Millie Bright:eee that one that we're cheating in. It's the Canadians. His finger pushed it over and he was like, what, what? I'm like, don't you know there's going to be cameras? Like, what are you cheating for?

1:33Rachael O'Neill:Oh, I know.

1:34Millie Bright:That, that, see me doing that, that would completely piss me off. That would send me. If someone bashed into my finger and they all went out, I'm leaving, I'm going home. Good question. We're here for Winter Olympics. This episode is powered by British Gas with Peak Save helping you get more out of your Sundays.

1:54Rachael O'Neill:Sundays are our favourite day of the week. Everyone's switching on for kickoff, kettle, telly, the lot.

2:00Millie Bright:But with peak save from British Gas, you get half price electricity every Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Over a million people already use it to save, helping you make the most of your Sunday. With

2:11Rachael O'Neill:five hours of cheaper electricity every Sunday, those savings really start to add up.

2:15Millie Bright:And it lines up perfectly with the football. You can relax, watch the game and let the house do the work.

2:20Rachael O'Neill:Search British Gas peak save to see how much you could be saving.

2:23Millie Bright:Terms and eligibility apply. Peak Save requires a smart meter and normal standing charges still apply.

2:59right

3:00Rachael O'Neill:right, ooh apat penguin I beta

3:10Rachael O'Neill:yeah but what's point see I just think of like Ping you. I love Ping. For anyone I'm ages who's like his little mouth.

3:25Millie Bright:I do think sloths are cute though. Hey, have you seen new emoji on iPhone? No. Sloth. There's a sloth on. I'm going with sloth. No, that's for ages. Were they? I'll have a massive beam of wood in my house and sloth can just hang from it.

3:39Rachael O'Neill:Oh no, I'd imagine just being in the kitchen making a cup of tea and penguins just waddling in. That's so cute. Right, you have a sloth I love a penguin. What's your favourite go-to karaoke song when you're forced to do it? Go on, do a bit of Lady Marmalade. Go on.

3:51Millie Bright:Firstly, I can't, I'm getting shy. Go on, do it for, do it for pod. Can't, I've got a cough as well. I'll tell you what I will do. I'll do a TikTok singing Lady Marmalade and I will send it in. I'll send you my vocals, but I've got a bit of a tickly cough at the minute.

4:05Rachael O'Neill:Right.

4:06Millie Bright:Mine would be Lady Marmalade, 100%.

4:07Rachael O'Neill:What would mine be? River Deep, Mountain High, probably. It's got to be. Already done it, mate. got that t-shirt a long time ago. Yeah, Trafalgar Square, can't get much bigger than that, can it? Basically like performing at a live concert, if you ask me.

4:19Millie Bright:It is. Right, this is a really good question. If you could only wear one colour for the rest of the year, what would it be? Black. I mean, everything matches.

4:28Rachael O'Neill:I mean, obviously in the summer it would be a bit rough, but equally, you just can't go wrong.

4:34Millie Bright:Yeah. And you can wear an all-black outfit and it still look nice. Yeah, and it's slimming. oh yeah because you're really rachel i don't know because like in the it's like one of those things you're not in the winter you're not going to wear white or but i love like my brown

4:53Rachael O'Neill:and your neutral yeah but you can't wear white shorts and a white t-shirt all year round

4:56Millie Bright:no that's what i mean it'd have to be black black jeans in a black t-shirt exactly they actually wore all black other day to be honest went out for food and wore all black i always gonna have

5:06Rachael O'Neill:be black because it's like everything matches right good question would you rather have to sing everything you say or dance everywhere you go dance everywhere you go would be so funny

5:15Millie Bright:getting dance everywhere you go yeah literally be doing worm in the street going across roads like that you know that thing when you know that thing on like ai whatever and

5:26Rachael O'Neill:they like make people like wobble about that'd be us walking around the street yeah i'd dance

5:30Millie Bright:everywhere just purely because i think i would annoy so many people singing and i can't sing Yeah, I dance because it's entertaining people who can't do it. Yeah, and it make people laugh because they know we like being silly. Oh, this is a hard one. I don't know any facts, but what's the most ridiculous facts you know? Oh, I do know one, actually. Ridiculous facts? Go on, then, say yours. I just need to proof check this, actually.

5:53Rachael O'Neill:It's facts, but I've actually just made it up.

5:55Millie Bright:No, it is true. It's something about butterflies, and butterflies don't fly in the rain because it either damages their wings or they can't fly. I can't think which one it is. Ah, yes, butterflies can fly in light rain, but most of the time they avoid flying when it comes to raining. Why they avoid rain? Delicate wings, butterfly wings are thin and covered in tiny scales. Heavy raindrops can damage them. See? A new part of the fact.

6:22Rachael O'Neill:While we're on butterflies, here's a fact. They can see more colours than humans. But what other colours could exist? Maybe, like, they could see, like, magenta. What's magenta? And like turquoise. Oh, but we can see that.

6:40Millie Bright:That might be the dumbest thing you've ever said, and I love it because normally it's me. What did I say last week? Rotate about.

6:45Rachael O'Neill:It's because we're doing it later. Right, next question. If your life was a TV show, what would the theme tune be? Mine would be something like Jurassic Park.

6:57Millie Bright:Sing the theme tune, write the theme tune. Or it'd be the Keenan and Kel one. Because it's, like, upbeat and... I'm walking on sunshine. Oh, that's nice. I don't like this next question. This next one's a little bit iffy. I'm not sure which way it's going. Would you rather be permanently slightly sticky or permanently slightly dusty? Oh, I don't want to be sticky, so dusty.

7:25Rachael O'Neill:Oh, but imagine having dust on you, though. You'd be like...

7:30Millie Bright:You'd be like... Yeah, but I grew up on farms, so I'm used to dusty hay and straw and brushing horses, so I'd rather that. Yeah, I still... Imagine being sticky and everything's sticky. No. No, because you know what? In summer, when it's hot and you're all clammy and things are sticking to you, and you're just like, oh, my God, I need to... No, it's like when you have an ice lolly in the summer

7:47Rachael O'Neill:and your hands are all sticky. I hate that. Yeah, dusty. Don't lie.

7:51Millie Bright:Yeah, dusty. I'd rather be dusty.

7:53Rachael O'Neill:Would you rather have the ability to speak to birds or fish? Birds. Birds, probably. Like, why have you just shit on me?

7:59Millie Bright:Oh, I don't know, because I feel like I'm a water baby and I've always said I'd love to be Aquaman growing up. So I'd love to be the ocean when he goes like that. Just talking to all ocean, that'd be sick. Right, guys, we are going to take a quick break. Great questions so far, but there's plenty more to come.

8:23Rachael O'Neill:Welcome back to the second part of Daily Brightness Q &A. We've had some great questions, like Millie said, and kick off with the second half. Do you want to go, Mil?

8:30Millie Bright:Ooh, what's your ultimate comfort food meal after a rubbish day? Well, we've had quite a few last year, so...

8:39Rachael O'Neill:How long have you got? I would have, I would be like shepherd's pie, peas, loads of gravy.

8:45Millie Bright:Ooh, yeah, that'd be nice. Ooh, ultimate comfort meal. Honestly, something that reminds me of back home, a stew, slow cooker, sausage casserole, dumplings. I made a stew the day, banging. Did you? Yeah. We had brazen steak the day, it were banging. Yeah, I'd probably say a stew, dumplings, massive Yorkshire pudding, chuck everything inside, loads of endos relish on top. Are you thinking about, oh,

9:06Rachael O'Neill:I shouldn't have got that cabbage, I should have got stew.

9:10Millie Bright:Right. You can't bring it back around going, Benny's in.

9:14Rachael O'Neill:If you were a contestant on Bake Off, what would your signature bake be? I'm not very good at baking, I can't lie.

9:21Millie Bright:I think I'm better at, see, my middle sister Amy, she's always been best baker. I've been the better chef. Honestly, I think my bake I'd do a lemon meringue oh that's hard yeah I've made one lemon meringue before though in lockdown I did it my nan took me through step by step I actually did complete it and it was lovely but that's what I'd do I'd probably do like

9:39Rachael O'Neill:brownies of summer I'd do a lemon meringue I'm backing myself or like a Vicky sponge

9:47Millie Bright:oh yeah it can't beat a sticky

9:49Rachael O'Neill:toffee pudding though I'm not making that also talking about cake how good was my wedding cake that Sue made banging unreal

9:56Millie Bright:real i just if i could be a food i would be cake hey you know that bait that bait king the guy

10:03Rachael O'Neill:yeah he's insane no that's such a weird timing because this morning i woke up at like six o 'clock and i was like right went on instagram saw his post and then i was on a i was on a spiral like i literally just went down the rabbit hole and i watched everything have you seen any stranger things that he's done it's crazy it's all insane it's insane ridiculous shout out to the bait king Right, go on.

10:26Millie Bright:If you could invent any useless gadget, what would it do? There's no such thing as a useless gadget. Everything has its purpose. I love gadgets. Maybe I'd just get it to just like,

10:36Rachael O'Neill:if you could just click your fingers and it gives you a back massage.

10:38Millie Bright:Yeah, but do you know what it is? I always lose my wallet and my keys, so I'd love something that I could just go... Yeah, why don't you just get an air tag? Yeah, but then you have to put it in things and... Yeah, but I've got one in my wallet. What if I lose my phone?

10:51Rachael O'Neill:Well, that's just stupidity.

10:52Millie Bright:so I'd like a gadget that I have I'd like something on my watch that I just click and it's like bing here's where your item is

11:00Rachael O'Neill:have you got an Apple watch

11:01Millie Bright:no I don't wear it

11:02Rachael O'Neill:I give it to kids right well then you could do that anyway mine would be a massager but actually just like I could just be like oh I want podcast gives a massage hey there's actually

11:13Millie Bright:one on TikTok and you put it on your neck

11:14Rachael O'Neill:and it's got mini hands and it goes like that

11:16Millie Bright:I've got it have you bought it yeah

11:17Rachael O'Neill:if you had to describe your personality as a biscuit which would you be it's definitely not a hobnob, because I ain't flaky.

11:24Millie Bright:My personality is, well, we're not rich teas, because they're plain as hell and boring. They're worst biscuits in the world. They should be illegal. I would be, I'd be a custard cream, you know. I love custard creams, but only with coffee, not tea. I always peel one side off, eat the middle bit,

11:38Rachael O'Neill:and give you a bit of biscuit. Now I want some custard creams.

11:43Millie Bright:I'd either be a custard cream, I think that.

11:45Rachael O'Neill:No, I don't think you would be, because that's really vanilla, like boring, plain. All right. The biscuit's not boring, but if you were to look at the biscuit. I would say we're like, I was going to say like a chocolate digesters, but that's not true because everyone loves them and not everyone loves us.

11:58Millie Bright:Hmm.

11:59Rachael O'Neill:Hmm. Tricky.

12:00Millie Bright:What other biscuits is there? No, we don't like Hobnobs.

12:04Rachael O'Neill:No, they're too flaky. Jammie Dodger. An old school classic.

12:08Millie Bright:Not everyone likes them. Yeah, let's go with Jammie Dodger. And my mum's doing this sign in background because they have a love art and that's us. So there you go. Jammie Dodger it is. Jammie Dodger. Well done. That was a good one. Good question. Right, would you rather... Hold on, let me just put my teeth back in. Would you rather always have brilliantly sunny weather, well, that don't exist in England, or always have a cosy, rainy autumn day? Sunny weather, 100.

12:39Rachael O'Neill:But it's hard because I do love a cosy autumn day because we've had so many wet days recently.

12:44Millie Bright:I would go an autumn day because then it makes going on holiday even more exciting because you're getting away from something.

12:51Rachael O'Neill:do you get what I mean but I feel like we have that all year round so it's like yeah

12:55Millie Bright:but I just love I'm a sun worshipper

12:58Rachael O'Neill:I love the sun yeah I know

12:59Millie Bright:I'm pale as hell right now as well same it's awful not good

13:02Rachael O'Neill:yeah I would pick sun but I'm not I do really like a rainy day when you're at home but I only like it when you're like cosy tucked up like that but the other day it was the sunny first sunny day ever this year and everyone was out and it just was so nice I just see people walking to be fair

13:17Millie Bright:today's been well nice the first day we've had like horses have been out no rugs on first time I had to put the dogs in the bath in the bloody bath crazy anyway I've got a question for you what is the best film you've watched recently and if you've watched one recently what's your review on it

13:30Rachael O'Neill:I have literally just been to the cinema last night how was it what did you watch so I saw Crime 101 Crime 101 Chris Hemsworth come on then give us your verdict and he is just beautiful beautiful man anyway really good get him on the pod excuse me

13:49Millie Bright:Chris get on the pod imagine Imagine he could come on pod. We'll do that one in person though, shall we?

13:57Rachael O'Neill:Yeah. Oh, he's so good looking. So good looking. I sat there the whole film. I was like, oh, he's so good. Anyway, back to the film. But it was good. It was one of them films where I like action films, but I like a bit of niceness. I don't like it all like killing and that. So I don't want to ruin it, but it had a really good ending, like a really happy ending for me anyway. I loved it. I think you'd really like it. I did fall asleep because, as you know, I cannot go to the cinema. We can't. It's impossible for us. So if I was trying to have a nap the other day, right, and lawn mower, someone with lawn mowing, right, mowing lawn, I couldn't shut my eyes.

14:34I was like, oh, that noise is so annoying.

14:37Rachael O'Neill:Like, why can't I sleep? Meanwhile, I'm in the cinema, it's like, and I'm just like.

14:42Millie Bright:But best of it, that is an ADHD thing. You know what I've also learned, which I think we should do an episode on this, to be honest, because we both definitely have it. They say, obviously, you know, when you sleep, people coming in, like, don't go on your phones before bed, don't watch TV. But if you have ADHD, going, doing those things actually sends you to sleep. Like it does. I have to have the TV on, like, and if I can't get to sleep, I'll go on my phone, watch TikTok for like 10 minutes. I'll be out like a lie.

15:04Rachael O'Neill:To be fair, when I'm in the night, if I wake up, I do go up. But I won't go on my phone to like, I used to read the news just because it like bores me.

15:13Millie Bright:Yeah. When you're in the cinema, though, do you do that? This is maybe a little bit of a toxic trait. when you wake up from falling asleep in the cinema and they go, oh, how was the film? I'm like, oh my God, it was amazing. They go, what's your favourite part? And I'd be like, oh, that at the beginning, it really got me. Sarah went, oh, are you asleep? No, no, no. Or you make yourself jump and then they're like, were you asleep? No, no. I actually just pay money to go for a nap now. It's crazy. Honestly, I do that all the time.

15:39Rachael O'Neill:We went off on a bit of a tangent there, but.

15:42Millie Bright:We did. But guys, thank you so much for the questions. A blast as always. don't forget to keep sending them in and we'll be back very soon.
