0:28Hey guys, Liv Burry here. but also some that are very bad for us. And so I want to really take a deep dive into the forces of competition that are driving at all aspects of our society, not only in the human world, but in the natural world too. And in this show, I'm going to be talking to all sorts of people, from actors to CEOs, professional sports stars, philosophers, scientists, anyone who I think has an interesting perspective on how competition manifests in their world. And to give you a little taste of what to expect, here's a snippet from my first episode with Molly Bloom. Now, you might know Molly from the movie Molly's Game, which tells her fascinating story of running high stakes poker games in L.A.

1:11and New York to the rich and famous. And let me tell you, she has seen the full gamut of good and bad behavior around games. Here's a bit of what we talked about. How did you handle that when, for example, one would say that to you, you know, basically tell you you don't belong here? I always tried to make peace. In what way? I would say listen I don't know what you've heard about me or what you think I'm trying to do but I would much rather have collaboration you know and like what can I do to not step on your toes I see so you would you would come at it from a I I understand your grievance and what can I do to how can I mitigate this and so on as opposed to I see you didn't like that wouldn't why didn't you take the just sort of head butting back approach it's it felt like it would have been more out of ego and not a move of productivity and I also knew I was at a deficit in that position because I knew how far they could potentially go and I could never go that far right I could never hurt someone was there a moment where you were genuinely just scared for your physical safety not in LA not in LA because I was almost always able to cut through that and you know that that's such an unexpected move right for someone to you know sort of like threaten you whatever and then I'm like how can how can like my presence in this world actually be good for you you know right Confronting aggression and fear with humanity doesn't always work, but a lot of times it does.

3:12to it now because the first episode releases imminently and I can't wait for you all to join me.
