In short
A Bloomberg “Special Report” covering the US Supreme Court’s term-end decisions, focusing on the ruling that upholds birthright citizenship and rejects President Donald Trump’s immigration restrictions.
Guests
No podcast guests are identified; the segment features Bloomberg reporters Nathan Hager and Tyler Kendall (outside the Supreme Court).
Key claims
The Court rejected Trump’s executive order limiting birthright citizenship to children with at least one parent who is a US citizen or green card holder, meaning children born to those on temporary visas would be excluded.
Notable examples
The report contrasts the Court’s skepticism with Trump’s own expectation of an unfavorable ruling; it also notes other rulings—limits on coordinated political party spending (6-3), and state laws barring transgender girls from school female athletic teams.

The decision is not necessarily surprising, right? We got those signals from the justices. President Trump himself had even indicated that he did not think that the justices were going to rule in his favor because they really seemed to signal that they were skeptical of that attempt to end automatic citizenship under this executive order that President Trump signed on his very first day in office, which essentially would have restricted birthright citizenship to those with at least one parent who was a U.S.
