The conversation emphasizes the importance of understanding one's body, optimizing health through proper nutrition and exercise, and recognizing the hormonal influences on mood and sexual performance.

---

Key Topics Discussed

  1. Gut-Brain-Sex Connection
  2. Testosterone and Dopamine: Better gut health leads to increased testosterone and dopamine levels, which enhance sleep quality and sexual drive.
  3. Anxiety's Impact on Gut Health: Anxiety can negatively affect gut health, creating a cyclical relationship between mental and digestive health.
  1. Nutrition and Weight Loss
  2. Caloric Misconceptions: The traditional view of calorie deficit is too simplistic; factors like muscle mass, hormone levels, and gut health play crucial roles.
  3. Protein Intake: Recommended protein intake is emphasized for weight loss and muscle building. Agarwal suggests building habits around protein consumption rather than focusing solely on calorie counting.
  4. Innovative Weight Loss Drugs: Discussion on GLP-1 drugs (e.g., Ozempic, Monjaro) for weight loss and diabetes management, emphasizing that they should be used under medical supervision.
  1. Breathing Techniques
  2. Importance of Proper Breathing: 90% of people breathe incorrectly (mouth breathing), which can lead to health issues including obesity and anxiety. Proper breathing techniques (e.g., box breathing) are recommended for overall health.
  1. Sleep Health
  2. Role of Melatonin: Melatonin supplements can assist with sleep but should be used cautiously. Agarwal suggests natural alternatives and emphasizes the importance of sleep hygiene.
  3. Light Pollution's Effects: Exposure to artificial light can confuse the body's circadian rhythm, impacting sleep quality.
  1. Men's Health and Hormones
  2. Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT): Increasing prevalence of TRT in India due to declining testosterone levels among men, particularly those with obesity.
  3. Three-Level Hormonal Approach: Addressing testosterone, estrogen, and anxiety to enhance sexual health and overall well-being.
  1. Health Testing
  2. Recommended Tests:
  3. MTHFR Test: For assessing B vitamin absorption capabilities.
  4. Gut Microbiome Test: To analyze gut health and its effects on overall health.
  5. Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) Test: For early cancer detection.
  1. Lifestyle Recommendations
  2. Integrating Health Sciences in Education: Agarwal advocates for improving health education in schools to foster better health habits from a young age.
  3. Mindfulness and Habit Formation: Encourages listeners to focus on forming healthy habits rather than seeking quick fixes.

0:00If you don't feel like a gut-brain sex connection, If you're not feeling horny everyday, then there's something wrong. Why would you say that? The better gut system you'll have, the more testosterone you'll have, the more dopamine you'll have, and the better brainwave sleep cycle recovery cycle you'll have. 90 % of people are wrong breathing. Right. Where do you lose fat from? It's out of breath. What's the matter? If you're not breathing correctly, you're not losing fat correctly. Most people are mouth breathing. When you breathe from mouth, you're hurting your gut. 90 % of mouth breathers are dropped.

0:32In today's episode, we are Anand Agarwal, a clinical research scientist and health consultant who is an expert of the body, mind and overall well-being. We have talked about health lifestyle, mindful habits and energy and confidence in which we naturally boost. What is the best way to do with which you can take? I was 155 kg and it took me 10 years to take care of which I was here. What did I do? We changed our food and we moved more. We take a protein shake in the morning. I made a protein aata. Tell us what. Pure pea protein. 300 gram. 300 gram satto. 300 gram basin. And 100 gram. Meaning a couple of aata.

1:10If you take it 40-50 gram aata and make a roti, it's 20 gram of protein. Is it safe for the weight loss? Is it safe for the osampic? If you give right people, it's 100 % safe. This should be used for obese people. Is there some new sort of drug which helps in diabetes? If you want to remove your blood from your blood, So what is the first logical? Eat less carbohydrates. Second, if insulin is not a fault, then add it from the inside. Third, what is muscle weight? What is obese according to you? In India, there are most obese patients. In India, there are also fat fat. If 100 people have heart attacks, then there are 40-45 fat fat.

1:43Are there new technologies or something which is coming which help people sleep better? If you take normal melatonin, you will fall deeper sleep. Do you think there are new technologies in smoking? Which you can quit smoking? There are some drugs which have been used for addiction like Tell me one thing, which all Indians are wrong. I think...

2:25Weight loss. One of the biggest topics in the world. Patla on a technology. Technology is so far. In the world, I don't know where there are trials. What is the most, what is the best way, the latest, the fastest, no side effect, the best way to get you. Because Motapa is one of the biggest diseases in the world right now. And India is the capital. America is a big, even more than India. Globally, everyone has to get to get to. on how can you change? I think if you talk about without side effects, if done correctly, muscle building. There's no other way. This is a slow way. I think fast in fast way, without side effects, there's no way to change.

3:13Without side effects, without going through pain or without going through a tremendous amount of emotional suffering, if you tell. There's no way to change. Because you weight to come do you mind how to change you can I was 155 kgs and it took me 10 years of up down circles which I can come here 155 kgs 155 kgs and I have a lot ups and downs and I will explain that I will also say fat cell hyperplasia for example when you are 10 % big then imagine that water balloon is increasing Water balloon is increasing. Right? But water balloon in the water balloon when you increase fat when you increase fat.

3:56So you need to create more fat cells. So when you get more overweight 10-15 % than you get more overweight than you get the number of storage units increase. So if you think that you have 100 it can be inherently I have 1 ,000 ,000. For example because I was that fat. So when I gain fat I have to do 10 times more hard work than you have to do. For me to maintain the same level of weight that you would have to. Oh. because my storage units are more. When I increase my fat, you will increase every place. So if my 3 kg of fat is增加, you will increase it immediately because there are so many storage units available.

4:30So the best way to answer your question is muscle building. And if you say something quickly, I mean, to a certain extent, I would say now an emerald laser is coming to which you can do 2-3 inch spot reduction without much side effect. But I mean, again, I am probably 50 % right. but tell me 150 kgs as a family you have lost what did you do we changed our food we changed our food and we moved more we take protein shakes and we have fruits with it like the pair I have made a protein atta like protein powder sattu basin in that one in a routine 20 gram protein if you are a vegetarian you will get 40 gram protein if you apply that formula apply basically pea protein pure pea protein 300 gram 300 gram 300 gram basin and 100 gram meaning you can give some rice flour just as a bonding agent if you take around 40-50 gram aata and make a roti make a roti then it's 20 gram protein so those people can't eat protein shake in 2 roti 40 gram almost double protein shake got like pretty intense proteins.

5:48Protein if you take so much, then it gets digested? It's a myth. Look, 1 gram of per kg body weight protein which is the requirement that's the minimum that is required. If you read any journal then 2.2 is for weight loss. If you take twice the amount of protein which you talk about excess protein, actually we all have the imagination from bodybuilders. They had 4-5 times high protein which had Atkins diet or which had fat diets. they should take so much protein that it was bad for them you can't eat much protein as much as required but if we double even do it then don't you think body digest no it's absolutely not true there are more gut problems that's why when you start to take proteins I think it is important just like any medicine or anything to titrate slowly I don't say 100 grams of protein if you already eat 20 eat, we say first, 30 let your body get used to it let your body build some muscles, let your body move more, that protein energy requirement you take uptake, after 30-40 40-50, 50-60 I've been having 150 grams of protein I have no issues at all, but I'm saying this is my personal example, but this is something we do with our patients also, we don't say that you directly shock yourself then you will have gut problems but if you will do it slowly, because Because protein may the only important thing is ki aap ka toxicity level come on and clean protein on.

7:19Because protein is a requirement of the day. There is no doubt about it. Aap jitna protein looge, aap utna satiate hoge, aapka utna GLP-1 banega, jho olympic ka kham hai, and aapka utna hi muscle mass banega, and that is the only solution to everything. Aging kya hai? Loss of muscle. Aap jib age karte ho, aapke skin kiyo jhul jate hai? Loss of muscle. Aapka body kiyo sag hote hai? Loss of muscle. everything is a loss of muscle if you define full aging in one sentence because I am an anti-aging scientist we ask 3 questions as we age does this reduce with time? second if I put this thing in the middle will my lifespan increase?

7:59if I decrease it will my lifespan decrease? and the top answer is the protein osampic protein mean? osampic is a protein molecule okay explain actually before we even go there first background people who have to lose weight loss around the world now they are calling a new type of magic drug magic pill which is they are using a drug called GLP-1 and that is GLP-1 is an Olympic a company a type of brand which is used people say it like we technically pain killer nice use use weight loss drug osampic name now tell us the weight loss is safe or not I think right people safe I think who is who is because the best thing is in India not available people from black markets they have in India tablet form available which is ribalysis 3 mg 7 mg 14 mg in India in India weight loss not in India weight loss के लिए इंडिया में सिर्फ मोंजारो अवेलिबल है जिस्ट एक clarity factor के साब से जहां तक safety का सवाल है I would say कि अगर right logo को आप देंगे तो 100 % safe है What do you mean by right logo?

9:21जो लोग को ozampic requirement है अब उसको समझाने के लिए we have to go to GLP-1 GLP-1 क्या होता है GLP-1 is a basically is a peptide hormone protein hormone which makes gut lining this was in 1980 when it was discovered by a gila monster where a venomous lizard is where they know that the gut lining which is GLP-1 which is technically 90 seconds which is dissolved if you make a native picture and make a natural production is always a result many people don't know that GLP-1 is also a brainstem it is the signaling between your gut and your brain. When you eat food, your stomach is so big. Your stomach is so big.

10:10When you eat stomach, your gut lining is here. You start to make GLP-1 and your brain is so big. And after that, you make food. People say that GLP-1 which we do exogenously. Right? Which we do. That GLP-1 that is GLP-1 to keep a long time which is because you have more insulin produced so your sugar quickly dissipates and your body doesn't have fat and your stomach is very empty which you have a feeling of fullness right now problem is that this should be used for obese people because their gut-brain signaling is over their gut-brain they don't know but how much time it is if you start or take a Zempic or tablets how much time can people start to change?

11:05I mean, as a healthy weight loss if you don't have to sag your skin or not have to change your face it is approximately we would suggest more than 2-3 kgs or 4 kgs per month we don't like it to reduce more than that but again it is very varied that what happens on which and how much happens in any case, GLP ones do not work you would be surprised if you could do it you would be surprised why not do it it would not react it would be like pharmacogenomic profile that it would not work but if you want to do weight loss and work which is very small then 2-4 kg per month reduce easily or Zempick or something else I mean it's your luck paper you can do 2-3-4 kg or 10 kg or 3-4 kg or 15 kg or 40 kg or 40 kg But if you look at the clinical trial, if you look at the pioneer trials, then overall, with your ribelitis, which is available in the tablet form in India, you will have a 10-12 % body weight.

12:10But, as you said in the beginning, that it's a magic pill. Here, I would disagree. It's not a magic pill. It's not a magic pill without exercise and healthy eating. It won't be any work. Oh. So, it's not like, I'll keep my same lifestyle. I'll keep my own health. I'll keep my own health. nothing like that so if someone takes it and thinks that magically 4-5 kilos per month will be reduced and he takes it he doesn't train he doesn't take weights he doesn't eat clean what will happen ultimately every thing is your habits I would argue that if you leave the gym 6 months that your weight is life long maintained if you leave a good food then what will happen that your weight will be there the same thing which people's biggest complaint is that after my weight has increased.

13:00Yes, increased. If you don't have a habit, what do you do with the Ozympic? You are trying to give yourself a victory to make good habits. And then if you have started this, 10-15 kilos, and then you have stopped? If you have habits okay, there is no problem. If you have 1000 calories, if you have 1000 calories, you should have 2500 calories. and you have made a habit, I have 2000 calories or 2200 calories if you have 2200 calories then why weight will be bigger? The problem is that if you go back to 3000 calories, because ultimately, there is a basic thermodynamics, if you have calorie deficit, you have workout, your hormones, your testosterone, your estrogen, your progesterone all right?

13:52Because people say brain, gut, access I say brain gut sex access if you are not feeling horny everyday then there is something wrong why would you say that? because your entire brain gut access travels it also travels to your sex hormones if you are not motivated in life like we have a brain sleep cycle I wish I had a board I would draw you and see but there you go it's just a general cycle it's just a general cycle you think you have to sleep at 10am

14:32and these are the brain hormone cycles you have to sleep at 4 main brain hormones now when you sleep at night which hormone you have to be melatonin which people have to be supplemented in your brain naturally when you have to do it you will become melatonin then you go in a deep sleep wave now you are a deep sleep wave 1 then you are looking at a sleep rapid eye movement cycle REM then you are going to a deep sleep like deep sleep 2 and then you are going to a deep sleep REM 2 then you are going to a small deep sleep and then you are going to a sun from that sun you will become cortisol which is stress hormone that stress hormone you will be able to take it like a morning so you will take it so you will take it cortisol will be what will be dopamine do you know what dopamine is?

15:38will you listen? tell me dopamine is not a pleasure hormone dopamine is a motivation hormone it's an excitement hormone it's a motivation hormone if I see this brand if I give the Rajshamani just figure out if I just figure out I identify this as Rajshamani I will get excited that is motivation that is dopamine not meeting you meeting you is the adrenaline his cousin who is on the kidney so the more dopamine you have the more energy you have if you are motivated I want to do 5 podcasts in a day I want to do three podcasts in a day. You're very highly motivated and the more energy you're producing.

16:23Right? What happens with age? As we age, our dopamine starts lowering. Why? When you want to have the hottest girl trend, you want to have all the money in the world. We have

16:41uninformed optimism. Right? Uninformed. There's a business cycle. from uninformed optimism to informed optimism so you have uninformed optimism you're full of dopamine you're full of energy i will marry the best girl i will have the best business and as you're responsible in life your life becomes about spirituality figuring out yourself you know things like that so what happens from that? your dopamine will slowly work what is zero dopamine? parkinson's what is zero dopamine? dementia what is zero dopamine? Alzheimer's. What is extremely high dopamine? Schizophrenia. These are peaks. Extremes.

17:22What we want to do is we want to crack you somewhere in the middle. As you age, we want to keep your dopamine at base levels. Not very high, not very low. Base levels. How do you keep on base levels? Which is the same. Dopamine is called adrenaline. It is called adrenaline. It is called for 8-9 hours. After that, you will see all the and athletes do perco skill training karte hai 3 se 5 that is when you make acetylcholine kya hotha hai ye bhi eek brain hormone hai this helps in learning okay like um eek nhs meyuk ka cab driver study tha like london me black cabs jo hoot hai like they are the most sophisticated drivers unko london ka nook and corner pata ho ache agar aapko nook and corner nahi pata hai to you are fail yeah upro license nahi to eek scientist ne unka brain scan ki hypothalamus ka unka joh hypothalamus increased in size.

18:16Memory. Hypothalamus. Memory is responsible for it. Forgetfulness. People think that it is for memory. But that's to discard the relevant things. Okay. And only keep the right things. So hypothalamus will increase when they find something relevant to keep. Okay. So they found a skill which is relevant. So as you age, I'm telling all my patients to learn a new skill. Especially to my 45-50 above patients who are all settled in life. Learn something outside your range. Make yourself uncomfortable. Right? And then your evening's your evening serotonin which is a wellness hormone becomes and that serotonin hormone which is gives you a feeling of well-being.

19:03That is when you relax. That is when you do everything. And that gets converted later into melatonin through various processes. This is your sleep-brain wave cycle. is cycle in this cycle you have to see where your car is it is like because this is all time oriented and light oriented or when evening comes when sunset then your dopamine and acetylcholine start to get converted into serotonin and then serotonin where the moon comes from sorry my drawing that gets converted into melatonin when you start seeing darkness but you were explaining gut brain sex connection so this is your brain hormone right Your brain, the dopamine levels are tied to your sex hormone.

19:47The amount of body you will optimize testosterone. Say as a man, if I say testosterone ranges from 300 to 900. Like if you're say someone who's 350, you will be obese. If you're say 900, and this is a simplistic example, the nuances to it, you will be Hrithik Rosh. I want you to not just correct your testosterone, I want you to optimize it. the more testosterone you'll have the more dopamine you'll have and the better brainwave, sleep cycle, recovery cycle you'll have the better gut system you'll have if your anxiety causes gut issues your testosterone also causes your gut issues because it is causing anxiety it is not a two-way street, it is a three-way street

20:30there are three layers of things that you have to change about yourself I keep telling my male patients you check your female hormones check kareyye. You have a libido from estrogen. It doesn't come from testosterone.

20:44People think it comes from testosterone. That's absolutely wrong. Testosterone just makes you more of who you are. Testosterone is like winning a jackpot. What you do with that money is either you gamble it away or you make figuring it out. You know? So, you get your estrogen checked. You will find most fat men have very high levels of estrogen. They don't even need TRT. they just need to block estrogen whoa this is you said three levels you said something so it's basically this is the brain you said something with anxiety like if you have anxiety you will have gut problems twisting right because your brain gut axis I'm saying if you have anxiety you will also have sexual problems if you have sexual problems you will have anxiety performance anxiety you will have like I can't have sex what's the point in life my partner doesn't want to have sex with me I will surprise you there are there is a stat which says in the urological associations 40 % of men above 40 have ED problems 50 % of men above 50 have ED problems 60 % of men above 60 have ED problems no way they lie to you if they say that they have not and why do they have it?

21:59why do they have it? testosterone values have dropped from around an average of 550-600 to I have seen this to 300-350 normal 30 year old people are taking TRTs the sale of TRT in India you find out I don't have an exact value it's increased by 40-50 % what is TRT? testosterone replacement therapy the sale of testosterone replacement therapy has gone up in India? testosterone replacement therapy is called testosterone the injection sale has gone up by 40-50 % in India because people can't have sex anymore. Because of their lifestyle they have ED. Yeah. Obesity. I have two questions on this. First is that now you said that it's a natural cycle, brain sleep cycle.

22:51It's a lot of light. Sun comes, sun goes down and it's a serotonin secrete then light, moon comes, melatonin comes, darkness. This is what the process is. We live under this light. lot of people who live in offices artificial lights it's bright so you go to the night 10am it's bright it's sunny do you think that the brain gives a signal 100 % I think light pollution I tell you like see you I mean these lights and you start with lights that is wrong I don't say right wrong I'm not going into the moralistic thing of it but if you health wise as you think I think you should always dim the lights in the evening you say warm light now do warm light and you see how different feeling will come because I didn't include breathing cycle 90 % people breathe incorrectly okay then tell light pollution and then tell breathing so in light pollution basically when you are exposed to too much light you are confusing your brain what day or night if I will light light will open your eyes will open why would you go open?

24:05You were in deep sleep you were in sleep because your brain instantaneously reacts to light so I'm going to cry my brain wrong signals I'm saying that you have to manage your time accordingly I'm saying that if you're 8, 9, 10, 10 shooting is going on, it's okay but you're 12 hours but when you're sleeping 1-2 hours before give yourself dim lights to darkness that's okay but you can't just complete completely make a utopian world that all your life means that it's like a ruler. I understand that I'm practically talking about that it's not practically possible. But you can give yourself one hour of dim lights and dark lights.

24:46You can remove your phone for one hour before sleep. I mean that's what you can do. You can see sunlight in the morning for 20 minutes. You can walk a little. So you can sing your heart and brain. You can see it in the evening when it's sunset. You can see it in yourself. Because because this is your earth, this is the sun, morning 10am, this is the sun, 12 noon and this is the sun around 4pm. When you are in the morning 10am, you are only a long wavelength here, the small wavelength is not able to reach the earth because you are in slant position. so here if you will get sunlight from 6am to 10am then you will not get UV rays if you do it then you will reach short wavelength because it is overhead again the same thing after 4pm so it will reach long wavelength which helps you in collagen production which helps you genuinely collagen production so you should always give yourself expose yourself go for a small walk 15 minutes in the morning go for a small walk in Bombay you have to stay 7-7 sunlight so you You mean after 4 pm, you go on a walk.

25:59You will see how your brain waves will start sinking with your sleep. Quality of sleep will improve. On this basis, we make a supplement protocol. Supplement protocol says that you have 5-HTP in serotonin to melatonin. You have magnesium. L-theanine. These all help to reach melatonin. So, melatonin is an end supplement. First, we try magnesium. Then, we try health-theanine. then try 5-HTP then if you don't work then melatonin so this is how we make the supplement protocol for your brain sleep then sex for which you can use supplements and if it is not working then you use testosterone again we people the usage of drugs it is only based on tighter value and it is only based on need it is not based on I want it so many people melatonin directly without even going through magnesium and infasty honestly I have tried melatonin personally and for me I did not do it personally because there are many people who take melatonin and go up to 3 hours which made me prove that I had no problem if my brain is making melatonin and now you give excess melatonin you go into deep sleep and you go into 2-3 hours you get up.

27:23Fresh. You will wake up fresh after 2-3 hours and we have seen this multiple patients. Like I would say 20-25 percent of the patients. So while it works on some people, but it will not work on a lot of people also. So if that happens to you, if you're the 20-25 percent, this is not a problem. Okay, then you said breathing. That maximum 90 % of people are wrong. Right. I will come to oral care but let's talk about breathing. this was light exposure if I talk about breathing right if you can do it right now 60 seconds how many times you breathe like just if you can calculate like 15 seconds what do you know I am more conscious about it now I don't even know do it do it let's check

28:37this is four and a half five five this means that you are doing around 20-22 breaths right now if you will see the real version of breathing. Where you mean when you are relaxed breathing, an ideal person who is an athlete and who is very healthy and fit should be breathing 6-8 breaths per minute. Meaning you should have done 1.5 breaths by now. Now if I change your 15 seconds right now to

29:08you will automatically feel relaxed. Try it. Try 6 seconds to make breath. You will automatically feel relaxed. That's basically because I'll tell you why I said breathing. Where do you lose fat from? Breath. Fat, sweat, urine, stool, I mean maybe a little bit. Fat is not out of your breath. Your carbon dioxide carries your fatty acids outside your mouth. If you're not breathing correctly, you're not losing fat correctly. You're breathing.

29:43I just did four breaths in 15 seconds. if you're breathing so fast, you're not inhaling oxygen properly, not exhaling carbon dioxide properly. You're not striking the right balance. I need you to relax. Your cortisol gets relaxed. Your insulin gets relaxed. There are many things. So what should we do? We suggest box breathing. Box breathing is inhale, pause, exhale, pause. 4-4-4-4? You can do it up to 10 also. Okay. Like, slowly you increase. Yoga nidra is something I religiously follow. I always do yoga nidra before. like that's very important for weight loss you'll automatically feel relaxed your brain will feel relaxed so breathing, sexual health, gut health and my oral health because mouth breathing most people do mouth breathing your mouth opens in a time your nose has filters when you breathe from your neck you're taking clean air when you breathe from your mouth you're dry and you're dry and you're dry you are doing 90 % mouth breathers of the gut problems that's why today the trend is coming although I don't like it but if it works for them so when you are doing mouth breathing then you have to do oral care there is a brand called Perfora I feel so bad for them because they cannot market what they stand out for they use nano hydroxy appetite which you have to bind right better than in my opinion but they cannot brand it because people will not understand that if a ad is released that we use nano hydroxy appetite which people do and write but they will not come to understand what does that do?

31:28like before fluoride used fluoride your mouth is always in the process of decay and in the process of reconstruction always you should be eating or not eating whatever you have the more oxygen you take the more bacteria you take you keep your cavities you need to keep your cavities so to stop it you need 2-3 elements such as nano hydroxy apetite xylitol or xylitol or bit that was to protect from that bacteria but again people don't understand marketing but the intention was that it has all those elements like personally why don't you tell us about it maybe they think that consumer I will breach the consumer but your xylitol your nano hydroxy appetite your non-alcoholic mouthwash if there is an alcoholic mouthwash please throw it away it is only supposed to be used when you have an ulcer or if you have a proper infection in your gums it is not supposed to be used please throw it away far away from your building so what will it be for oral health care what will happen if you keep your mouth clean then again your mouth will open too, you will still have better oral care, you will not have bad breath your gut will not have bad breath so everything has to sink this will also help you sleep better but should you breathe out from your mouth?

32:54yes, it depends see now again breathing is a because we are human beings and we do nuanced things so when you are working out, no problem you can breathe out from your mouth but when you are not working out like again when I say that you have to do 6 to 8 breaths that is when you are addressed that is where you want to get to like I have got to 13, 14 I should do 25, 27 I'm a very anxious person I got to 13, 14 because I consciously keep because I'm talking to people so I'm going to do it but I want to get to maybe 6, 8, 10 I don't know so when you have this whole thing when you have a link after that we get your medical health and correction and we see what can we do at the lowest dose what is the function of medicine which people understand correctly is that our intention is to start from zero dose to get you the maximum output then we will apply one then we will apply two that is the correct way of medicine direct two people on their own will start from 14 and say we got side effects yeah that is We start with chemistry, direct and then start.

34:10Look, that regulatory aspect is so big. Also as humans, a lot of people want quick fixes. So if we know that the most powerful things available is, we just go and take powerful. We don't have that patience to actually go build it. I think a lot of it is to blame it to us. I think mindset should change from school. Like I think health sciences, nutritional sciences, should be introduced in school. For sure. like health sciences in the sense that you should understand yourself what you need to test your time through how do you monitor your health like things like this should be introduced in school and I think they will eventually because I don't think formal education exists in this case I don't think this is exciting we talk about weight loss drugs I saw a real by you that in the future in the future there is such a drug that you have to do with weight loss and muscle building also will be done.

Read the full transcript

35:08What is that? It's called Bima Groomap. L.A. Lee launched phase 2 trials reports published in that basically they saw that 20 % fat loss and 3.6 % muscle gain just with that MAP molecule. It's not GLP-1. It's a MAP molecule. So it's side effects limited and almost none then it will go to phase 3 trials it will be possible it will come after 4-5 years I think that would be revolutionary in fact for your podcast viewers I will send you a white paper which you can attach to the link it's basically 38 new molecules are in progress so one is targeting your brain now you should know GLP-1s are being used for Alzheimer's also it has been approved for PCOD also it has been approved for heart attacks it has been approved for weight loss obviously diabetes type 2 and now Parkinson's test for it.

36:05Why can you Alzheimer's treat? Because apparently everything is your insulin brain signaling because I have told you GLP-1 brain also. So it is overall an anti-aging drug which I had three questions that if you get less than age or not if I put it, then you will increase your lysine or not? If I put it, then you will decrease your lysine or not? It checks all the three boxes. Testosterone checks all the three boxes. Progesterone for women checks all the three boxes. Estrogen for women checks all the three boxes after menopause. If someone is old in your house, you make their fertility panel even though their menopause has been gone.

36:46You send me hormone reports to me. I will tell you. They can feel 25. And this thing in US has already started to start to happen. You know, I sometimes have irritation that people are improving their health it was the most obese nation it won't be after 10 years 6 % of the adult population takes GLP-1 6 %? 6 % of the adult population takes GLP-1 in India hidden there are the most obese patients skinny fat people in India also fat people India has the highest number of lean people who have diabetes and the highest number of lean people who have heart attacks. If 100 people have heart attacks, then 40-45 are pregnant.

37:37Why is that? Because a known devil is better than an unknown devil. If you have pregnant, then you can eat anything. What is obese according to you? What is obesity? What is obesity? It is your BMI, which is the body mass index, where you divide the weight from your height square. You get a ratio. If you have 23 people, then you're obese. If you are 23 to 27, then you are overweight. 27 to 30, then you are obese level 1. 30 to 35, then you are obesity level 2. 35, then you are obesity level 3. This is a BMI calculation which might not necessarily be true. Because you have to scan DEXA. DEXA scan, there are muscle mass, visceral fat and subcutaneous fat.

38:22That will be true. You will know how much you are obese. That is also a trick. When you scan DEXA, one fat is a fat. The chubby fat is a love handle. It is a subcutaneous fat. The skin fat is a subcutaneous fat. It is mostly harmless. It is a cosmetic fat. Your skin has been absorbed. What you have been genetics and lipoma and what I was saying, fat cell hyperplasia is saying. But it doesn't make your body much impact. Visceral fat is the organ fat. So we see visceral fat. If today's day, my 6 % visceral fat is and 20 % subcutaneous fat, a person might look heavy, but he's absolutely fit with a good muscle mass.

39:09Visceral fat should be under 10? Under 10. Should be under 10. Then you will say that this is healthy. It means that he might look a little plump or unhealthy. But you won't call obese above 10 % visceral fat, right? No. you can call them like little healthy fatter 10 % to obesity term use because metabolic dysfunction metabolic dysfunction your blood pressure Framingham study was in US there was a big study they defined these 5 markers if you have 3 of the 5 then you have a metabolic syndrome if your sugar is high if your cholesterol is high if your blood pressure is high if your weight is high and one I am forgetting but these 5 factors if there are 3 from that then you have a metabolic dysfunction so a lot of times metabolic dysfunction can always not be correlated to it if your insulin is very high we might still consider a very low dose of GLP-1 because as I said side effect of weight loss insulin correct it's the main job like in 1996 when a company was testing a drug for chest pain for a drug test test car ready to go a side effect.

40:25Mela who side effect. Ko unho ne. Drugs ko bicha or itna paisa kama ya. Ki they made more money than 490 fortune 500 companies combined. 490 fortune 500 companies combined. Se aada paisa kama ya. Ek drug se. Viagra. 96 mei. Pfizer ne launch kiya. It was a side effect. It was never meant to be. Right. It is the same story again, which is so funny. that it was to correct insulin that in 1980 when a venomous lizard CELA monster extracted GLP-1 for 20 years researches on it that was only 53 % GLP-1 that was just meant to control your insulin so that you can replace insulin no one knows it is still that insulin is still stopping my father was dependent on insulin for 30 years he is on Monjaro zero insulin what are you saying?

41:19My mom was dependent on insulin for 30 years since my younger sister who's, sorry, 26 years. Zero insulin. If you can cut off insulin. My father was taking around 80 to 90 tablets every day. Today he's taking 10 tablets every day. He has to take a few for his heart. But he's taking 70 tablets reduced, insulin zero. Just on Manjaro. Again, he needed it. I'm not saying that everyone needs it. but type 1 diabetes is a little bit type 1 type 1 is a different like diabetes is a necklace people have type 2 diabetes at young age also people have type 1 diabetes and adults also and now to Alzheimer's type 3 diabetes because insulin is a chubby when you eat food insulin is a pancreas that goes to your cell it goes to your cell it goes to your cell it goes to your cell it opens if you have sugar Now understand, if my insulin will not do anything, I will open it like this.

42:27Your blood will be a little sugar in your blood. When I will touch my blood, what will I get? Excess sugar. You know, an extreme diabetic and healthy patient, how much sugar is in your blood? a teaspoon of sugar in your blood is an extreme diabetic to a very healthy patient. This is how unit metrically insulin is important. Because this is only 2 or 3 cells you have a trillion trillion cells of the body that you have sugar. If I give you a chili to your home then you will say that it will be clean and clean. It is the same thing. Your blood your home if I throw a chini there then you will have every type of disease if you attend Dr.

43:23Najeeb's lectures every 5 seconds a patient dies of diabetes in this conversation hundreds of patients have died but what do we call death certificate cardio respiratory failure sepsis organ failure and they are dying because of insulin resistance but excess sugar both I'm saying insulin resistance when insulin can't open up your body to take in the energy what is it fix? diabetes if people are going to do it what are the new drugs or trends or therapies or things available to be able to fix it it's logically if I'm making insulin with pancreas and insulin is not doing it now there are two things insulin is doing it but it's not good production.

44:14Insulin is not doing good work. Logically, if you have to remove sugar from your blood, then what is the first logical? It's not a carbohydrate. If you eat a carbohydrate, and by chini I mean carbohydrates, if you eat a carbohydrate, then you don't have to do much sugar. Second, if you have to put insulin in a faulty, then you put insulin out of it. Because insulin is not doing good work. So you need insulin. right third care muscle building the only thing that will absorb glucose and will use the insulin in your body is muscle is there some new sort of drug or something which helps in diabetes ozampic it was made for diabetes I'm sorry I'm like actually his name is wrong because weight loss but it was made for diabetes in fact India ribelesis in ozampic and it is only approved for diabetes Monjaro also is approved for diabetes it's not in type 1 in type 1 actually I'm talking about stem cell therapy I have never done it although my career I started with stem cell therapy people smoke a lot their body and I started my career with that I was given a small store room in a hospital I was with patients I was a social worker I was in the district and I was with patients and then patients they call Burgess disease and we were injecting stem cells in the hospital and their toes grew back like toes, ulcers it was a beautiful drug but I think stem cells they are trying to fix their pancreas because type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder meaning their immunity from childhood you know but many people in adult type 1 diabetes it happens in Trisabeth after it happens.

46:07Mysteries of nature. You said smoking you used to work, right? Do you think smoking there are new technologies that you can quit smoking? Is there something? There are some drugs which have been used for addiction. Like GLP-1s are genuinely being used for addiction. Especially for opioids. A molecule is LDN low-dose naltroxene which is used in the US for opioid addiction. It has been used for autoimmunity for many clinical trials although it has not proved that efficacious but India so maybe that could also be used for addictions but it's a question mark what about Parkinson's is there a new drug new technology new treatment something to fix in fact I had made a video which was very popular so basically like I said Parkinson's is a lack of dopamine in your brain dopamine so first we have tablet form in the tablet form.

47:05But now it's infusion form that you constantly give a little bit of dopamine. So I think that is a revolutionary drug which is helping a lot of people. It has side effects. But largely that's a big leap for Parkinson's because they can control their movements. Which is what the biggest problem was. It is a mix of Foscarbiodopa and Eduodopa which basically combine dopamine effect so I'm saying that dopamine in fact when you start memory loss brain fog memory loss I've been saying many patients I've been saying brain MRI now this test has been a test which is a blood markup which is P-Tau measure you have beta amyloid and P-Tau which is measure that you get to know that you have plaques to find plaques like heart in plaques to find plaques to find that will lead to your Alzheimer's Parkinson's dementia, there is a whole spectrum so your drug wise Prodo and Doppa, again I received a lot of requests that if you can import and all that from the US sorry Europe, but it's very expensive, India there is a drug that is apomorphine hydrochloride and hydrous apomorphine hydrochloride, which basically infusion is the same as Prodo and Doppa although it's not as effective as that but it's also doing well India where people can control their movements a little bit one more thing if it is technically messed up then no purpose dopamine doesn't happen nothing you can't even make your life overall your energy levels are down or back to back problems after problems that where I struggle with as well is sleep tell me are there new technologies or something which is coming which help people sleep better many if you have normal melatonin you will fall deep asleep because you are literally inducing that sleep hormone is it safe melatonin yeah it's safe for short term long term it's not even study okay short term up to 90 days usually melatonin started for flight when you get jet lag it's in another time zone it's in another it's in another but nowadays melatonin is used for biohacking a lot of people have had very successful results with melatonin some people like me have woken up very early so now I don't use melatonin but that doesn't mean that other people shouldn't.

49:33How does melatonin become? Melatonin is from plant sources. I'm not aware which plant source, but from plant sources. These are like safe. This doesn't have to go through that pharma regulatory process or anything. Is there something else? Something better than this? Chemically barbiturates also. What do you mean?

49:54Benzodiazepines. What do you mean? Drug sleep induces. What are the prescribed drugs? in anti-allergy H1 and H2 class of drugs means that it's a proper deep sleep it's a OTC it's prescribed drugs and melatonin you can buy it on the counter something that you can use is a combination of magnesium and L-theanine also magnesium and L-theanine magnesium is included in your body in every chemical reaction if I talk about top 5 supplements you have magnesium omega 3 D3 K2 creatine and B12 these are the 5 supplements that on and off in a protocol cycle based on your personal lifestyle you should keep taking because it's never high in your blood last B12 methylated so if you make these 5 molecules and make a protocol you will always find that your basic energy level basic because you will get in food because how can you monitor in food either in your food or in your day-to-day lifestyle.

51:06So this is just something that you keep taking on and off, on and off, on and off. On and off, you mean? Like say, it depends on your weight. Like an obese person needs more vitamin D3 because it's fat soluble, vitamin D3. So if it's fat soluble, you don't get bloodstream. So a very obese person would say need 5 ,000 to 10 ,000 units per day. Someone as fit as you would need 2 ,000 to 3 ,000 units per day. so you know unit dosage depends on your body weight so on and off what happens to you take a little time then off then take a little time yeah I believe cycle on cycle off so say for example you are taking 4 weeks then leave 2 weeks after 2 weeks order and it could depend it could differ from people to people and it also depends on your lifestyle you say we travel in every 3 days so don't travel why don't you take it away so I do the same thing I do 4-1 4-1 4-1 makes sense 4 weeks 1 week full off 4 weeks supplement then 1 week full off makes sense and all these supplements I take yeah makes sense most important being creatine creatine I take yeah everyday here's the last thing I want to ask you tell me one thing which all Indians or majority of Indians are wrong which we have found out through maybe all the data and all the things that you do what are the disturbing what are the disturbingly disturbingly what are the wrong

52:28my personal point of view I think too much focus on food calorie in calorie out it's not real what do you mean by that calorie deficit is true but calorie in calorie out is not real let me explain 1 kilo calorie is and I will explain it well 1 kilo calorie is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1 degree Celsius in 1 atmospheric pressure which means that I will add a bomb calorie meter in a water I will add water in a tin box I will add KFC and I will add a burger and I will add a bag which will add a temperature raise in a box water degree wise which will add a measure and I will add that I will add 400 calories that you have a bomb calorie meter if you have You, like 10 people, sit here and give everyone a thousand calories.

53:28Will you lose the same amount of weight? Will you gain the same amount of weight? Will you have the same amount of reaction? So calorie in, calorie out is not real. Depending on the amount of testosterone, depending on the amount of muscle, depending on the amount of D3, B12, gut microbiome, brain health, is how the calorie will be consumed where it will be consumed you get money people earn the same money and earn the same money and stay close to the same money so calorie in calorie out is not safe calorie deficit is important but calorie deficit I know a lot of people know not of auntie's daughter I eat so much I don't have weight loss so I eat so much food so I eat so much food and they are not wrong they are not lying they are not lying then why not happen hormonal problems insulin problems cortisol problems calorie deficit is not always the answer if you are playing sports and you are not having higher calories then also it is a problem if you are trying to build muscle you should have higher calories so I think what the entire country is going wrong is they are putting too much focus on super foods or food I am saying move more eat according to how you move build habits I say focus on the protein rest of the protein how much fat how much carbs whatever you have no meaning you eat 100 gram protein you eat 100 gram protein every day you eat 3000 calories no problem because the amount of energy or thermogenesis that you will have by having 150 grams of protein will burn more calories will induce more muscle the more muscle you have the more glycogen you can store so food people give a lot of emphasis which I feel is I don't understand in the entire chat you have given a lot of tests and you have given a lot of tests tell me 2 or 3 tests which are very advanced and some people should get it which probably people don't know about let's say genomi and stuff that you were talking about I think one test is MGTHFR basically it determines that your body can be right in your body or not what happens from that?

55:52you will know that your body B12, B9, B5 can absorb all of it or not if it doesn't then you can take the methylated versions or different versions of folates to basically do that because that could be causing a lot of issues in your body like that for example postpartum depression happens because people cannot convert that B9, B12 vitamins in their body. 25 to 30 % of women face depression because of that after postpartum. So there are multiple tests like this. Obviously, MJTHFR is one. That's like a big DNA test. That's an advanced test. I think there is a gut microbiome test that a lot of people should get done if they want to sort of get into an advanced test.

56:33But something that is done in a US FDA lab, like many Indian labs, if I'm being very honest with you, there's no gut microbiome test. with a proper method

56:46I don't know how they are doing it if they have some special system I don't know but that is one test that I think everyone should get done the third is something that we helped develop like a company technically Singapore we helped develop them this test they can detect cancer at state zero so basically it's a very interesting story it's based in Delhi and we were working with them as a biobank we were supplying samples to them usually you have if you have a circulating tumor it's called CTC circulating tumor count you have to remove 45 ml of whole blood from the patient and this company claimed that we have not 1 ml half ml plasma serum we will know that it is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and there are a lot of stories here so basically we were doing our testing and we were collecting blood so basically one patient came to stage 0 within cancer stage 0 within cancer basically just starting circulating tumor which is going to be and personally it was not in my site it was in any other site and they started basically like that patient was furious that you, I mean, you showed me stage 0 cancer, you put my life stress in my life and you know like what do I do?

58:17I said, nothing is furious. And this went on and on and on. After 6 months, she got a tumor and she removed it. Cured. Cancer is not about cure. It is about detection. People are so scared of detection. that I'm saying that please don't be afraid of detection. And who tests it? This basically, you can know from 1 ml, you can know in cancer screening. Although, look, there are many tests. Like if you're 40 above, colonoscopy and endoscopy is a must. For your gut lining. My point is that you can't remove the diagnostics. You have to fight with cancer. You have to diagnose. Every year. It has to be amended by the local government, by the hospital, or the national government to make cancer because if you have in stage 0-1 cancer easily gone but it will become like diabetes like AIDS a lifestyle disease which was a death sentence you can live 25-30 years with the I'm sorry you know drugs made for AIDS in the same way you have cancer also will be if you start detecting yourself it's not rocket science if you can detect yourself at stage 0 you will have to do in stage 1-2 because 90 % cancers stage 3-4 symptoms not lung cancer means stage 1-2 get the God but you have asked how does every year do every year every year everyone has a protocol a certain age for example you have cancer screening so you can do 40 after you are a woman who has had medical history of people in your family with cancer you can do 30 after mammogram for breast cancer and you don't need to do every cancer for every screening test I have specific test I asked the name of Predomix.

1:00:07It was only because they detect 31 cancers in one single ml. Like for female-male. From one blood. From one ml blood. So I think that would be a revolution. So DCGI passed it. They have a 99.6 % specificity accuracy. Now the central government passed it. This is like proven research. I think Dabber has funded them. now Dabar has funded them probably they'll buy it out so our job is done interesting well perfect thank you so much thank you so much thank you for telling me so many things the questions I had I didn't ask but it was amazing conversation I loved this chart I'll show you like I'll put this in I'll scan this if you need anything I have more better versions of it yeah yeah please send me all the things that you have I'll send you that white paper for the Ozempic things also done that also gives me everything to make this so I will give it all it was amazing having you thank you so much for coming here pleasure thank you so much for watching this episode until the end now you have to do three things first of all subscribe to this channel because as much as you subscribe we will have to get better and valuable guests for you number two tell me in comments what did you feel good and bad so that we can repeat those mistakes and which guests you want to see on our podcast so that we can take them and give you more value.

1:01:33And number three, you must have to share this episode with anyone. Because one conversation can change someone's life. I'll see you next time. Until then, keep figuring out.

In today’s episode our guest is Anant Agarwal, a Clinical Research Scientist & Health Consultant. He tells us whether weight loss is really just a “calorie deficit”? Anant further breaks down why muscle building, correct breathing, and metabolic health matter far more than obsessing over food. He explains how GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic, Monjaro and future options like Bimagrumab are changing the weight-loss dynamic but only when used for the right reasons.

He also tells us about the real markers of modern health: crashing testosterone levels, the brain-gut-sex connection, why anxiety shows up in your stomach, and how everyday choices like mouth breathing or alcoholic mouthwashes silently damage your system. From dopamine myths to melatonin misuse, he simplifies the science behind motivation, sleep, and mood.

We discuss how from early cancer detection through CTC, to why schools need to teach basic health science. This conversation is a complete reality check. A practical guide to understanding your body hormones, habits, and the hidden signals most people ignore.
