When you tell your friends confidently. They laugh. They say, what is this? But my son believes, my wife believes. Trolling does not bother when you fail. Your first break was Salman Khan. Salman Khan gave me a chance to give me a chance to love him. I was afraid of him. I told him that he had a break. And he told my dad that I'll give Himesh a break. Today's guest is Himesh Risham. Today we will get to see real, raw and emotional sight. And how do they live in their life?
0:39Will they be able to rediscover you today? Will they be able to make their place like they have made singing or acting? Talk about all these things. What are the tips of today? What are your competition today? 500 ,000 hits. It's possible when it's 1000 songs. Today 99 % of people have songs. In Ranveer Kapoor's picture, there will be a normal song. He will take his song in his star pool. You and Imran Ashmi were a solid combo. So why did that stop? You actually don't fear anything. My dad has 10 minutes. He has so much fear that I am afraid for my mom. It will be very difficult for me actually.
1:18With my dad, he's not here.
1:28Are you okay? Yeah, because I was missing him. Light note started. Yeah. Super. Yes. Jam at the time. Let's rock. Let's rock.

2:02How's the success going on with the… All the…
2:09Everything was good, but dad is not there. That is the only thing. No, he just passed away. Recently? Yeah, September. And this will be very difficult for me actually.
2:24It's like this moment of my dad's moment. It's like the timing of my dad's timing. That he's not here.
2:42Uncontrolled situation is a little odd. Oh please. That means that I'm not going to be. Are you okay? Yeah, because I was missing him. Light note started. Yeah. Light note, one time. Super. Yes. Jay Mata Di, Let's Rock. Jay Mata Di, Let's Rock. Where did this come from? How did you come with this hook? Actually, I was on the show. And we were doing this Sare Gama that time. Jay Mata Di, Let's Rock basically was my gharana. So, the thing came from here is Let's Rock. Rock Garana because I was you know like a rock star and that zone was Rock was my name and it became Let's Rock and then suddenly I thought you know I should say you know it's something from inside and I said let's rock and that was the moment where everyone got you know shocked that what I said but it was very good and it was a vibe, a connect a emotional connect and it just became my personal anthem and I am very connected to Deshno Devi whenever I go to so it was a connect that became my connection with that show that became my life which is Jaymatadi Let's Rock My life is every episode, every season, wherever I have music show, my brand.
4:19So, my emotional connection is that my children are the same. That the kids who come to the same place, they come to the same place, they come to the same place. They come to the line, they come to the auditions. Now, the biggest problem that they don't know how to approach the industry, because industry is a different kind of a different kind of a different kind of a business point of view. hona bho bhoat zharuori hai, aap sirf eek artist hai to aap us wakt kis ko kya sunana hai, us situation pe kis zone mein jana hai, bade se bade composer, bade se bade singer us baat ko jantah hai tab wo kahi pahunc ta hai organically bilkul unaware hoke, agar kabhi eek ya do baar success mil jayegi lekin uske baat ja kar kahi na kahi uske dynamics joh business ke hai ki is actor this expression that all things they don't know they are very they come to the world that they have only music and this song but when they are so organic someone should guide them that they should one second in a second that's the point of view that they shine so I always do that I need your house I need to go I need to go that I need that I need that I need that I need that I need because wherever they are connected to their parents, they can be happy.
6:00True. And you said that if people get guidance right away, they can't make it. They are not able to make it big. Impossible. Because in reality shows, there are many eyeballs. Eyeballs is different.
6:21It's like if my nasal singing high pitch I know that it's good so I do my launch in the era where the mid-range singing is continuously and no one is not doing that so the timing is so important that I was that I was that I was or my dad knew that so if today I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was that I was due 2005 because timing of a product because in the market if there is something which is going on and there is something which is just not there and at that time my whole connect with Tere Naam and the emotional songs and what people were expecting me to do and completely going against the tide and going high pitch nasal and making it you know completely club track but it's a sad song and he's singing in pain, he's not connecting with his crowd, he's connecting with his girlfriend and all those things were not very much in that time.
7:40So, it was very much timing. So, when a new child comes to somewhere, so that's not so calculative that's not so calculative my dad was a producer a composer he was the first person to introduce electronic instruments in India the very leading musician so that's a moment we had a moment you were a song hit machine you had a song hit machine you had a pop culture you had a song independently you had a big concert you were at the peak and from there now internet pe aap troll ho na start ho gai baut baar to ye bother karta hai does it bother you you were very hit at one point and then it just changed it changed because I turned actor before that just music pe to kabhi bhi asa nahi tha point of view he nahi tha there was no second point of view singing me initially aya aya waha pe to pehle saal me awards ho ga 50 hits in a row to us ke baad phir wo point hini nahi tha ki ab mein kya bol aur aaj the the the next generation which came wo itna body of work karta hi nahi hai aur agar karta hai to itni success milna bhoot bhoot hi muskil hai jis ki wajahe se mein kaita ho ki it's all somewhere luck and blessings not only hard work which I know kiunki itni numbers nahi ho sakte joh numbers hai aaj to jab as an actor mein gaya I shifted.
9:14So the whole idea was that this could not happen because today it didn't happen. Rock stars are not superstar actors. That's the mindset. So again, there was a different mindset for nasal singing. When I became a rock star actor, then again this point of view was that people started trolling and of course, there was a lot of rock quality in that time. I didn't prepare for my time. But I was getting into films because of music चल जाता था तो calculations were all set तो picture तो मिलती गई but उसमें जाकर आज अगर badass रवीकुमार के reviews देखें तो वो reviews इतने मिलना जो अच्छे -च्छे लोगों को नहीं मिलते वो positive मिलना वो भी मुझे कोई पहली film में तो मिले नहीं है
10:13I have a lot of effort but for that effort to reach the people's point of view that I don't need to do it this is what I should do that the set of thinking that I should change that that is difficult and if I did it that I was doing it that I was trying to do it that I should do it that I should do it but now that trouble
10:46when you get to the failure there was a long gap between success or Neen, like regular
11:22I mean more than 22 billion views and 10 billion audio streams to get these numbers touch with singles not films so that's pure music content so I had songs again I made a thousand songs and during covid we started the channel and it just another level it became a success so that was never in the music so that was always confidence that this I have to just prove to be a good actor if I can, if I can deliver, if I can be that character then koi problem nahi hai but music ke maamle mein kabhi kisi ne troll nahi kiya it was only ke kyun act why, why, why kya problem hai and my point of view yeh tha that bhai mujh bhai hai ab agar tummeh believe system tumhari agar nahi aarhi hai toh mahi tummeh convince kar huma I don't think your bad thing.
12:24If your point of view is, then you have to win that point of view. That's why my defense mechanism never had. That's why I've never seen interviews and I've never reacted. Or I've never reacted to that. Because I understood that. But again, when you say, why didn't I feel bad? Because it was success. If it's not bad, then I feel like this is happening with me. I understand that that's their own point of view. But
12:56I never thought that I never thought that they didn't say that for me. If they said it's a point of view and that point of view I respect you. But I never thought
13:09that people seriously and funny don't take me. No, no, no. I'm going to take my acting. Because acting I'm going to point of view which is a legend that you are very good and that song was very great I also need to talk about my heart blockbuster you don't talk about my 25 year old songs you will talk about them when we have my experience which is now going to happen very soon and the cap is going to be back and all that so in all of those things in the video but there is no saturation point that I have not that I have that song that was how it was that the legend was my feeling in my heart what happened to me and why did I do this and I didn't do that I was saying that that he corrected me.
14:15Talk about today. Talk about the time. That is my mental problem. But you can't deny that. That's his legacy. But what happens when I'm stuck in time? Then my way is that. Because it's a big hit. To reach there. So my way is that. I have to. when I did Hukabar which was complete reinvention after doing that everyone thought I did Prem Ratandan hardcore Indian again back to the roots of classic and I thought that maybe work will not be done because you are supposed to you are supposed to 25 years ago but I have done that But one thing I will say is that there has been 90 % support of my fans. I would like to thank them all the time for this interview.
15:23That they have given support even while acting. And if I talk to a lot of great reviewers about it, So they also gave the performances Which way Initially The picture has not been made He is growing He is growing But leaving fans aside Talking about your peers The industry Industry in your industry Competition Yeah Do you think they They respect you as a musician Or they see you as a trend No no no They never see me as a trend They actually look at me as a businessman everyone explain see if you ask any music guy they do talk about my music but they will talk more about my business sense that what he did whether it's the cap whether it's the videos whether it's the scale whether it's the aesthetics of how my products have never been aesthetically into you know they've been very classy So how to shoot and right time when you're at your peak, shift and become exclusive.
16:44Stop working. Again, come back with something else so that you're not judged there. The music becomes immortal. So all this planning, they look at it as a business module. But they sometimes when I discuss with them, my friends are my friends and in music we have so many shows that we can talk about it and we can talk about it and two money that's not friction so we can talk about it so from those people's point of view business side planning side is stronger but I always understand that if he is a strong artist is a list then it can be a business and when they always recognize them because like today Sanam Teree Qasim music is iconic Spotify with the song number one then they will know Namaste London I didn't have nominated but after they realize that this is very great ultra hit so you understand your name uh um Aashik Aashik ko jab Aya to Lacta ki trend hai Uske baad Aashik ke baad Pachas or Ghanai Usi waq Dena Or film fair Bhi lena Tab Moanthi So Or Jab Woh compare Kertethe Agar Mera business Side Nahin Hota Na To Woh Ye Music Ko Ithna Zyadha Acknowledge To Kertethe But Or Respect Kertethe How do You decide Audience Koi Chahiye Kya Ye Kaisa decide करते हैं.
18:23You said that the audience which I will give you. Your personal likability is my own. If we break it in case, if we try to break it if we break it in order to break it so that we can get some new singers, new producers, how do we break it? What do you want to decide? Audience to decide what do you want to do? I personally think there are two ways. pray okay you can't follow Yes and find traditional
19:03one start does not do not method make or you can't follow you can eat so
19:41then it has to be you have to do a tune. But all the sensibilities, the desire, the modernism, the romance, the lyrics, the whole vibe, the vibe you change, then it will go down. So, referencing has to be followed to the T, and just time travel. And then you should have to go down. So, if you say, If you say that, if you say that, if you say that, what is it? Every super romantic, legendary albums, film, where you say that we were in romance, we remember our girlfriend, our girlfriend, we remember our time. We remember our time. So, don't change that. And if you don't do referencing, you are not doing the same thing.
20:38Then you should not get that song. It should be so original. Absolutely. Like I can say, Ashik Banya is a reflection of your name. But it only that the sound changes. But it is in the same space. But Tandoori Nights is no reference. It is no different thing. When we jam Tandoori Nights, we think that what is it? What is it? But the quirky sensibilities are. The quirky is the most fun. Then there is a new template that we have. Then there is a photo of my friends. And I have a look at that. Which is not a good idea. But it's a quirk, a beat and a correct melody. Top three. Now I have to tell you about the current.
21:29Which you have heard. Give me one international and two Indian. I have to tell you about Rihanna's Unfaithful. good. I like it. I like the piano and really good. Otherwise, Hindi, tell me. Hindi, there are
21:51there are many tracks many tracks I mean, it's outstanding which one? all the songs and the Jagjit Singh Punjabi Tappa which inspired him to be a Biprakpala Gana which is his main climax fight so I like Sundi unprecedented outstanding and Sandeep Bangar Reddy vision so animal is and Ranveer is a great actor so everything and so his tracks are on another level and I think that Bhushan Ji when all vision is correct unko jaysse chahiye wo pardta hai na to wo phr bhot bada bantta hai so animal mein wo cheezain unki sensibility sab baih gai i mean he wanted the right director who could make that film you know the right actor and the right music and so that is something which is excuse me yeah that was all it became the biggest album and well deserved you know us ke baad after animal I fell in love with this singer Vishal Vishal Mishra I mean, he was singing before but I think he was before I was a kid He was good in Kabir Singh He had many songs but he had a lot of recall value and then I started following him on social media Yeah, he's very good He knows his job He's so good I mean, when Salman bhaji told me that a 50-100 hit party
24:05crescendo
24:13But, 500, 700 ,000 hits continuously deethe rehena, Vaha game hai, Vaha real hai. Because body of work joh hai, itne sare singers me, eventually, and because meray dil mein yehi, ek hi chiz hooti hai, ki, koji bhi vanda joh itni mehnat karta aur aage aaye, woh, aur aage jahe. Woh meray liye, meray dad ne, joh mujhe eek, seekh di hai na, ki,
24:45made possible survival I
25:04have I would but because I was making one song. I made five songs. But everyday, when you're ready to do it, you're working out, you're drinking tea, you get your family, friends, it's a routine. One song, one song, two or three, one time, one time. The composition will be 15 minutes. Why can't you make one song? And keep your stock, can you make me a song? Then you can listen, listen, if you like it, if you like it, if you like it, if you like it, then you can feel that today is possible. Possible, yeah. A thousand hit make a song and a thousand hit make a song. Yes, hit, I always say that if today is a song not a song, if it is a song, if it is great, then it will be great.
26:03So, make a song and then make a song. Yes, I always say that if it is a song, see the bigger problem is films not even films not even and so many films people don't get the chance so people can independently Spotify or YouTube upload the option so people can make it my point of view is that in singles there are a lot of clutter that clutter will not really help a new singer when he lost a chance then he'll have to patience rakhna padega otherwise main problem is that you have so many songs that you have to make sure that you have to if you have if you have 8 blockbuster songs that you have straight and you have to in any film this is not that Ranbir Kapoor in the picture in the picture in the picture there is a normal song that you have to go to your star pull in the picture that you have to go to your song but No, your song is bigger than that.
27:09So, you can call someone to anyone. He will give you a sitting for a month. And he will listen to it. And he will be crazy. Because he is a problem in films. The problem is that people don't have songs. There are not enough in the belief system. In the options. They have one song. But one song is dependent on a lot of things. That this situation will happen. That's a moment. hooga sabko, to woh shayad saminye walay ki situation bhi nahi hooga but he should, agar usko really passion hai to films mein karna chahiye, because films mein bhi utni zharurat hai, super, because har, joh bada koi music star hai, uske itne apne tantrums hai ki woh apni dunia mein khush hai, koi desperate, koi bhi music star is not desperate ke woh yoh picture mein music kar lye, woh zubana khatm ho chuka hai, to producer directors ko bhi actually talash hai, woh bohut hi dedicated or passionate and bookie composers so that work will be done let's go to your origin story I am very interested in that you have given the first break Salman Khan, what was it?
28:15my first see 4-5 years old trade magazines after reading my dad I was with my dad once my older brother who passed away. And I was about 11 then. 11, yeah. And then I joined my dad. So we wanted to, my dad was the first person to introduce electronic instruments in India. He was a leading musician. Then he became a producer. He thought that one film didn't release, one film released, but it was a small film. So then we signed, my dad signed Mr. Salman Khan for a film called Yuva. Okay. And that film never got made. But we made songs for that, which I had composed. And he told my dad that though this film is not being made now, I'll give Himesh a break.
29:17And then we got into serials, producing serials. And then I made very big serials. I was making the serials of that time. Like? Like Andaz, Amar Prem, Aha, Jaan, Dam Dam Dam Dam, Aashiki, Aangan. So you were doing music for serials? Produce. I was producing those serials as a businessman. Okay. And made a lot of money with that. So those serials, all super hit serials, 200 episodes, 400 episodes. and so they were very big superstars in the serial Irifan Bhai was there Om Puri was there Reena Roy was there Rajinder Kumar was there Farha was there Poonam Dilon was there Shekhar Suman was there Kaval Jit was there Sudesh Berry was there everyone was there Shavan Aazmi was there in one serial Anupama naam ke serial thi us waakt ki alupama Kumar Gaurav so a lot of people were there in my serials and wo sari serial ne chali so I was very busy doing my serials aur unke title tracks havesha mere hotethe wo hit hotethe so people liked those title tracks so notice bhi karate the and I used to also write those serials so I was very happy but music and my dams was was these 400 Iam and these are like a big superstar if
31:05you to be a blockbuster. This film is a very big superstar if you come to a sad movie, a very very bad character in love story, it will be very good. It was a lot of your name. There were lots of lots. If you have David Dhawan if you have a picture of David Dhawan, this is a great deal. So, Dulanam will take the whole track David jihil for it. I was made in the film industry. I was made in the series. But I was made in everything. Okay. Okay. Tiyari Puri. Yeah. Just like a new person came and said that I will make this music in Sandeep Ji's film in the movie when he will make it. Sanjali La Bansali's film in the movie.
31:45I will make it. I will make it. And when I will make it when I will make it. So, when I will make it. When I will make it. So, first of all, Those 400 songs were ready. Where did you get it? Why did you do it? Because I was so unusual. But that was the only way. Because it was my only way. It was my way. When I went in front, When I go to that person, I can say that I'm giving you a super-hit song. And this is a blockbuster. But he doesn't mean to me. He should connect to that song. That's a blockbuster. So that day will come. Salman Khan, Salman Bhai, gave me a chance to give me a chance to be scared.
32:28I was waiting. I was making my songs. And Salim uncle, Sowell bhai, he approved the song. It was very difficult to compose that song. Because Mughal Azzam's title is title. So

33:00Kya To Darnak To Wo Fraze Jab Buna Wo Suna Yaa And Unko Lagak For To Mujhe Break Diyaya Then I Was Offered Lot Of Films To Us Ke Baad Jab My Sitting Kar Ta was stopped the songs. You can see this picture. If you have a half hour, one hour, all songs are locked. One hour, all made, first of all. A little tweaking. Then, this phrase is like this. It was a kind of a okay so this rock based modern contemporary melodies arrangement in your final and then he locked all the songs and they were all hits so that whole became when he got successful, he said, I said, I gave him a lot of hits. I made 400 more.
34:23Again, all blockbusters, all the things that made me. I saw that in Hindi film, there was no situation in Hindi. What situation is in romance? It's flavour and feel. In such a picture, in your name, you can't have music of Hiladi. Hiladi you can't have music of Ashik so Ashik it was all about very very sensuous melodies passion and it was all about flavor change but romance then Namaste London Javed Sahib oh my god what I wrote and again all the tunes which were made so Namaste London की जो एक divinity थी एक subject में जो एक कड़प थी उसका correct सारे गाने बनते गए मा चकना चकना पंजाबी गाना पहली बार गाया मैंने so then मैं जा रहा हूँ and all those यही होता प्यारे क्या विरानिया तो iconic so वो जो सारे गाने बनते गए and they were fit in the lot and that's what I'm doing I have researched for this podcast so I have seen a clip Honey Singh's clip where Honey Singh says that the first time you called him he was doing singles so my son told me that this very superb singer rapper is there and he's done this song so I had to call him I heard that track and I said it's great yeah we should do then I called him and then we did Khiladi Lonely so initially yes then we started then we did the movie together expose me he was there you know and so initially what happens is that in the success journey people don't see that when the moment when you have a big name you can find a big name so the perception that the artist reaches where people give him eyeballs.
36:40And when the eyeballs get his real talent so actually the superstar doesn't do that. He does that that someone else did. Me too, Salman Bhai did. If I love it, so that's why I don't start so that's why it's very important for the good artist so it's just that he should do it which you are giving back you should not expect also what happens in this time sometimes people feel that I've done it now he should also but I think that is that you have worked closely with Salman Khan a lot of times what's his speciality? music sense is great film sense is great see, I know he's pulling the film on his shoulders neither director, nor composer nor anyone they carry all the things
37:40it's like a night of the day he can't work with anybody so he just wants to see that he needs to match his image he knows that but as an actor or as a star what's the speciality why people still love him there is years of years very good looking very cool very dramatic very very smart in terms of the scripts he selects which is like you know what people want to identify as a hero and accept their name where he says himself that don't identify your name character otherwise in all his characters so his sensibilities that are from the beginning I mean he's Salim Sahib's son so he knows and where he has a few weak directors which are weak in the sense that not very big names big brand names so he knows that he can pull it off so that is the real star quality a star is a star which is where every side of the music also has a blockbuster director, lighting after that he will give a average a hit a star where the other things are using script average music ok lighting and he will pull off because you don't see your eyes so that's why they are superstars you launched so many people and you have called many people honey singh because you were talking about him what makes honey singh special honey singh is this because he comes back to back and makes a song what is the plus point he is original in his own his own space when he came up with whatever stuff he brought.
39:52He was original. So, that's a lot of difference. You know, every person has an X factor. That X factor can be very important to identify. I think that is where the idea is. How many artists are today, if they never get success, because somewhere else, the X factor quality is in them. So, that's a great identification of them. Like my identification of me going into the high pitch voice, which people call nasal. But that identification is very important. But if I was singing in my mind on the radio, I was singing in middle pitch. If I take a launch with that, then it will probably not sit correct.
40:39That will also be understood. So, what is your X factor? X factor? Nasal? nasal voice and
40:49see I'll tell you jis level ki dialogue delivery मैं कर सकता हूँ and एक अपनी मेरी जो space है as an actor उसको correct template में correct तरीके से अगर present किया जाए so that is why the dialogues that these numbers music numbers was expected but the dialogue UGCs it's tracked everywhere so that the dialogues viral if you don't say that if you don't say that the retro that I think that my USP is and many other things in my USP as an actor but that wasn't too much tap. And again, I'm saying this, maybe after three years, when someone will tap and will be more than that, people will accept this.
41:52Because when you watch it, maybe people won't accept this. So, I personally feel that as an actor, I'm completely so raw and I need the right films and I can do wonders. now when you listen to this it's a great confidence but what's happening so when you listen to this it's a great confidence but it's it's not confidence I'm very sure about it but that's not the time until I reach that badass is only a start but But I'm reaching for the first baby step. I feel like it's a lot of things that people have managed to do. In acting? Just a baby step. But in acting, there will be things that people expect not to do.
42:59It will be 110 percent. but iisay jabab aapne friends ko bataate ho ya logo ko bataate ho it's confidently huste huste huste huste huste but yeah yeah yeah yeah believe system kaha se aatiya unka mindset believe system pe wahi jisay meire friends bolte hey amesh is an artist or as a businessman to be businessman aray but woh gani itne bade gani ko bhi to dhe do to us hi tera jab I can do it so you don't see that or you don't see that so you're saying that this belief system so that this belief system so that this belief system but my son believes and my wife believes now when I said it first I was laughing very much because I said I'm turning actor
44:27so she said कर रहा है यार it's you know it's it's about it's about जब तक हो नहीं जाता तब तक तो वो debate रहेगा ना डर नहीं रगता अभी नहीं नहीं नहीं नहीं काम नहीं मैं पॉइंट इस कि अगर आपने एक legacy बनाई तीक है so first for example आप एक इतने बड़े singing sensation बने तो उसके later music director become music composer become back to you have to do and you have to go to that and then but the song is coming it is coming it is coming it is coming but people want to remember you as that that people do the concert people do I have to be motivated but if let's say this work didn't work at this point and now people are and they are laughing why are you and how are you but people remember that that he left his own and left his own do you think that would bother you at one point if he is scared I'm not scared to be in the serial production I didn't come to my serial people I said that so big serial has been made so big producer he is going to be a music composer what will happen and then you will get a break then you will get a break then you will not be scared now everything is done now there is no problem But see, it is not only about belief system.
45:52It is about the sensibilities that this person can do, he can't do anything else. That is the point I am bringing to the table. like that high pitch voice that I can do with the songs that no one can do or that hardcore dated if I have sung the label on the songs then singles with the studio videos that I can do with the numbers that no one can do with the songs because that song that connect is very important I'm inspired by going to go that nothing is impossible if you want to work with your love, love and prayer with your love, let's rock you actually don't fear anything no I fear you know from a health point of view people are scared in any way and what happened to my dad he gave me I would go out and out because he was there with me every every moment he was there with me and we have done so much work and he was working till the last day his devotional channel was very good and it was in 10 minutes he passed away so that was so fair that I was so fair for my mom was he happy about you turning actor?
47:26oh extraordinary he loved Ravi Kumar's character he was okay okay but he always felt that this is Ravi Kumar which is your character when he watched it and that time even Irfan bhai had loved it I know that in one minute he had read the script and he said it's great and he also told me he loved the film also so
47:56oh god so it's called My dad's name is so much. My dad's very trust was that these characters are correct characters. Because it is about slot. Anybody, or you are like a child like Mahan, or like Shah Rukh sir, Salman bhai, Aamir sir, Ritik, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay ji, Ajay ji. These are massive stars, which are fit in each character. But otherwise, the other great actors need to be in a certain slot for them to work big time and then they can show their versatility. So I feel certain characters can really work. What do you think that your father must be telling you? That you are right or you are wrong.
48:49What do you mean? If you father will for a second. Himesh, you itni jho exclusively kama kar raha ho yeh nha kama chahiye woh unka school nahi tha because he was from old school unka yeh tha ke jho bhi kama tuhmeh acha aata hai you should start accepting everything woh meera unke saath humayasha hi raha yuh kya kya chhold raha ho yuh kya chhold raha ho or meera yaha pere new age businessmen aata tha ke agar yeh karun ga so this is a good thing one year you will be you will be if I don't exclusive then this brand goes down so the thought the calculation was if you look at it old school that was it was that just go by the flow if you think a good product then you have to go ahead and and cabooms have more
I have done so much work which I have not thought. But if I don't think that I think that we might lose out on certain things.
51:00So, perhaps we are right or wrong, I don't know. I am not very sure on that. Do you think award functions rigged are not? No, I see point of view driven. What is deciding what is the point of view? When you match point of view when you match the public point of view match it has time to get up now Namaste London album came blockbuster was day once it wasn't that it grew I can it grew actually it was was was it was growing but it was my photo day once it was a blockbuster which made Darshan a star Akasa also so Namaste London ka Chakna, Mein Jaa Rho Houn, Virania, Yai Hota Piyar He Kya, Rafta Rafta.
51:53Sare hit. Sare blockbuster, uske baad quality, Javid Sahib ke etnay great lyrics and you don't nominate he ni kare rho. Actors bhi superstars. Sab kuch. Sabe kuch super hit. Uske baad ye hoota hai, to woh point of view driven isliye ho saktah hai ki yaar you think it's not going to happen. But in my mind, it's not that maybe someone had a problem with me. I don't think that's it. I don't think that's it. I don't think that music has not understood. But if you have a personal opinion that you have universal opinion that you have made award function, if that's it, if that's it, then I'll say that that you see, the audience has made that thing.
52:48And today I don't feel that your point of view was personal. That was a point of view that was wrong. Just keep that positivity. Because if I keep negativity, it will give me a relief. You know because we are talking about Namaste London. I want to talk about three songs that I like very personal. Different parts of your life. And I want to know their backstory. So first is Namaste London's song. I mean, whatever you pick song. I want to know their backstory. How do I go? I'm going. I am going to go there, so Javed Sahib has a tune for which it was for me a Jagjit Singh meets Himesha Shumya.
54:31imperaizers साथ है तो तेरी आद साथ है मैं जहां रहूं तो वो जो दो आज आज आज आज लो का संगम था वो मेरे लिए दिवाग में था उसके बाद जाविद साब जो उसके words किये उसके बाद वो गाने को हम fit करना चाहते थे last make a problem that situation wise length wise that film actually it was in the beginning titles Rishi Kapoor Ji journey and it sounds as a romantic song but actually he's singing for the country he's missing his country which people don't realize also because of the beautiful lyrics which Javed Sub did it was that I'm going to go with your memory but it connects so universally so I've been told I've been told many songs like if you see you can say anything you can say someone somewhere somewhere you keep a generic point of view so that when the person listens he connects with his emotions not only Only the film's situation.
55:59What story is this? Aashik Banaaya. Aashik Banaaya. I'm listening to the car. It's an amazing song. So Aashik Banaaya was also about that whether we were in the club, we were talking about a song which, of course, before we recorded it's slow version for the situation, which was a sensuous situation between a boy and girl, passionate and they were, they're just about to come close to, each other after that when it was a remix planned the story was that the energy which is going to be in all the night clubs but it doesn't need to connect to it come on everybody come on just enjoy the vibe and like how a DJ would really connect with the crowd it was all about that doesn't need it that doesn't need it that needs the connection so that singer that visual star who is connected with his song and his emotions will be the mic that mic June was very very impromptu and then he is connecting there and the crowd is making a mess and And it was new.
57:26It was different. And we just all felt that oh, this is a different connection. You and Imran Ashmi were a solid combo. Like a dhamakha combination. So why did that stop? No, but no chance to make this opportunity. You'll be doing it again. Otherwise, that's when... But that's my combination. With which I have also made a combination. If we see it, Salman Bhai, Akshay Ji, Bobby, Shahid, even with a Vicky Kaushal and Baby Tujjhe Paap Lagiaga, which Sachin Jigar composed. So, I have to have all the collaborations done. But the image interlinked was linked. Because what was the time? That was not the time.
58:18When I was a film video which they added to the end of the film and that video was the heroine of the film so it was new for them so it was new for them collaborative effort or what was connectivity but it was new and then it was new and then his video video and then that video. There were some videos that were together. And then there were some shows that were together initially when they came to the appearance. So I think there was a connection because if you made a friend, he was the hero of the film. And so much music was big. And music maybe visually I was there. so so so so so so so so
59:29so so
59:35in terms of visual perception yeah and as a formula for you guys or for movies ki is movie mein ek gana arjeet sa kawalo ek gana because it's like Arjit ka hargaana hit like time but Arjit hargaane mein fit ho jata hai sir he just fits in to every song to wo I mean koji do dousra opinion nahi hai us ke so Sunu Nigam great wo sab wo unke saath you can go with any song kuch bhi dhe dao kabi bhi they will do their job chalna ne chalna pher woh to aapki apni composition hai woh log ke begar ga ke kabhi niklinge nahi woh to achcha hi gahenge so us mein wo formula I don't think work karta hai but today it is more about the composition and the lyrics he can pull it off with a good singer also that is it's not that but if in that song you need the legendary voice then you should go ahead with them.
1:00:48Go to them. If you are sure that in this voice I will pull it off without them then you will pull it off. And how much would let's say an Arjeet would charge for a song? I mean Arjeet is not about money. It's about heart. Arjeet is not about it. Why don't you say that? Yes, I mean Arjeet I don't think anybody is going to discuss a price with him. He'll also be reasonable only. I don't think see when he has to do I'm saying that the whole new generation mathematics is not about money. Because people don't understand because if it is doing it, then every person is reasonable when it is not. When it is not, it is reasonable.
1:01:28That all are exclusive. There are too much thinking including me. So, that's why the organic growth is broken. Because the collaborative effort
1:01:55when you need a star villain so now he won't do it because he will be a hero and why not see if he has a opportunity then he is thinking why am I going to do a character role or a villain I will start my first concert of my life. I didn't have a concert, I didn't attend, but it was your time. I was young with my mom and there was a big company, a brand sponsored. And then you would be there. and we were able to get to somewhere and buy tickets and buy tickets and thousands of people in the beach and there was only one red cap that's it and if you saw something that was so much that was so bad or something we had to run out and that was my memory of you so that was madness about your songs your things what was it that was it it was a well curated strategy which I feel like that it was organic like red cap that was like leather jackets like image what was it?
1:03:16No, it was a look this nasal voice that was the connection that was if you were to gore to people's attention was the cap but the fact was a eye that was the emotional connect that was That's not the emotional connection of this character that I'm playing in every song of mine. Was the personal identification of every lover. That was a joy of love. And that connection was in the eyes. And this whole tap look. Because that time his hair was up.
1:04:11but what really worked in because it was not one song it was 50 hits so when it was 50 hits and it was every place every song
1:04:31and then the concert was happening so I didn't do the concerts for Cap but if you can see I didn't post but every year we are doing many concerts in the normal hair look yeah but those high end journey we have done high end concerts high end production and very massive and then we are doing corporate we are doing wedding, we are doing normal shows but not really ticketed ones where you have a function and went there and in the hair look, not in the cap look because cap has been always been very exclusive and very grand cap cannot be used just anywhere and everywhere and then you cannot dilute the brand also so cap is a So, it's a show part.
1:05:26It's a show part too. And it's a people's expectation. When I was able to bring my label, my first song, I did the first song in the cap. So again, insane numbers are, in your love and the first 2021. So, it's an image with it. But it's not every time, every year, as a non-exclusive, that's not the part. of the strategy. Because it needs to like a film every two or one year can't come. Life shows that is the cap of the aura I have to feel it from within. That now the time has come. So when the time has come I haven't done it. And that is why now when I am going to do my cap tour. You are doing India tour?
1:06:19Yeah. I am doing India tour. doing worldwide. It will be very soon announced. Worldwide? Yeah, everywhere. This year? Yeah, yeah, yeah. 100%. But it's too big. You know, you have seen positive side you have seen social media. Negative side you have seen positive side what is dark side of fame? Dark side is that whenever you have that if you go, you need to give up targeting not their cost because the numbers are not which I have released. I have no release. I have no doubt. Because I have no numbers. So, I'm looking for how to tell you that you can tell me that you can tell me that you can tell me about numbers.
1:07:23How can I tell you about this? I'll tell you about your interview. I'll tell you about it. I'll tell you about it. satisfaction के लिए किया है next day जब उसके numbers नहीं आएंगे तो आप बोलोगे गाना flop होगे अब मुझे वो और उपर से social media तो बिलकुल वो अच्छी तरह लिखेगा flop तो वो जब लिखेगा तो मैं वो great चारगाने नहीं कर सकता हूँ so this pressure initially doesn't happen if I'm new and I don't have fame to have fame then I have to do what I have to do it doesn't have to do I don't have to do what I have to do I don't like I don't like I don't like what I have to do that is the pressure that is the trap and it can happen that it will be my the biggest the dark side of fame is this major expectation people have so high something below deliver after Namaste London me and Javid have never worked together now we've made seven historic blockbuster songs I can promise you that Namaste London is nothing in front of this but how many years it's and now it'll be there for a film when it'll be just because now the script is almost locked and we are starting the film and that's what I mean and that's what I mean that's how much time I've made that song after that subject I don't get the subject because love story opening doesn't need to how will we do it's so organic and divine space and romance so that's what I need love story which I need to do correct work do it, it's so great songs that music is super hit.
1:09:21Super hit music. I mean confidently, when I was a short one, I was a blockbuster. One word, one poetry which I wrote, and which composed, which is different. But when those songs come, it doesn't need to be a love story which connects. Now, love story, attraction, opening, they're just so, you say that insecure I don't want to be insecure. And I need to be connected with that subject. It can't be in a hardcore film. It needs a passionate love story. So now, for those years, we've got to look for that. After that, we've got to look for that subject. Now, we've almost got to look for that. So, those songs.
1:10:10So, how many things in insecurity are delayed? What are exclusive people that we have talked about? We become exclusive. We don't do stuff which is so organic and so straight from the heart because of numbers. Numbers' pressure is all over. Social media likes and views, does it change the movie from the movie? No. Instagram, the people who are viral, do they come? Is there any math? social media ka joh conversion hai insta ka instagram youtube or phir theaters excuse me sab ka alag alag kya explain thotah sa youtube ka apna market wo youtube shots dousre joh youtube ugc's wo numbers alag joh gana audio streams peh hai uska apna match instagram peh alag hi dunia hai wo eek dunia aap koji blockbuster agar instagram peh koji chiz hai it can be converted, it can be converted.
1:11:11But there is no rule book. Like Instagram on the other side of the channel, there are followers, but they convert. Music video also has come.
1:11:22So, theatre is a different world. And satellite, which film is not in theatre, it is a blockbuster. Satellite is different. OTT is different. alike dunia is so universally which are so many platforms which were not before so one dimensional which was planned was platform and that was a section we know that when you want to see that a film so many platforms to satisfy that subject that's a very difficult and that's a song and again I've been able to do that that's where that's where Spotify on Spotify, Spotify cool crowd also likes it and YouTube universal audience also likes it it is very difficult but that is the challenge, it is one way to say that I don't believe it, I do try hard something like that universally connects I have a curiosity because I'm talking about social media now dumbbells hammer curl and why do you sing?
1:12:36What's the reason behind it? No, no. I was there. What's the story? No, no. I was at the gym. It was all about sometimes what happens is that it gets serious. Because your mindset is that your body is not being and you know protein, gut is not going to be so you can't grow. These all calculations when you
1:13:09I like it. I like it. Tandoori, listen to me, I feel like it's work. If someone can sing on tandoori, if someone can make it, it worked. And with time, tandoori nights were getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
1:13:31I think it's COVID time. So I did it. I think it was good. So I did it. So, the gym reels really liked people. I think it was good. I will do it. I will do it. I have been doing it. I liked people. One was fun. One was thinking
1:13:58it was just connecting and music with my music if I was watching and I was in gym if I was a stress or a intense mood break and you go to a different space and you go to a whole thought change and you think just chill enjoy your life because sometimes we take a lot of you seriously that how can you do this how can you do this and of course but now you don't have it I think it's not done for 6 months no one has done for the gym I do ask my son I'll show him I'll let a dad go ahead it's okay no I was hammer curl I was wondering same same different songs what's going on and then what happens sometimes it's you know branded posts also so it was just working but it's not I don't do anything after doing something I don't do anything I mean I just I just I just I just I just I just I just I just I just it's not I just I just I just What are you scared of?
1:15:23Sabse zahadha. Aaj. I have to read all the right scripts in the film. So now we have announced the final key. We are announcing our newsletter of films. And we should correct the subjects. The ones I think are correct. They should go correct. The music is correct. But what is the problem? No, the scripts are correct. It is not correct. In terms of the positioning genre of the film, it needs to because the biggest thing is that first you have to cost recover to your space correct if you have to be wrong then a great film will be so in today's time the attraction give me a sneak peek next what is going to do Ravikumar then he will come back and a great character Vijay Kumar from Vijaywada who Ravikumar came to world or or his separate film is made and that will decide that one is Javed with the songs that will come in a love story and then all are in the entertaining zone that is a serious love story Javed's songs can't come in a very hard casual it's a love story intense love story and then there is one film where I am not acting which is Janam Teri Qasam Radhika and Benayas directors which we are producing but historic music historic I mean historic Sanam Teri Qasam is 10 % 10 % of Janam Teri Qasam's music so good so it's another level and then there is one more film in the cap which is like which will Cap card tour life shows then the film will be announced nice because I haven't done a Cap film since a long time again great music there is a horror comedy also so film in some slates will be announced plus I want to I will be signing up two films which will not be produced by me so that is that will be announced so many things are going on but But the main thing is that these decisions will correct.
1:17:50But full-fledged acting is a career for next 10, 20, 30 years. That's our chance. That's not a chance. Because it only takes me forward in terms of my face value or the money or the passion that I have. But of course, music is never stopping. So right now, you can say that we are a label. I'm a composer I'm a singer I'm working with other composers I'm an actor I'm a producer and everything is there I'm not a director well perfect thank you for answering all my questions pleasure talking to you sir thank you so much for coming here thank you so much thank you
1:18:46How are you doing?
1:18:51Have you seen the movie from an illogical point of view? Of course, it is. I have never said that I have never gone wrong with the sensibilities. We have never said that this is a very sensible film. We are giving the retro era tribute. Logic is optional. And the disclaimer came before that the previous films were very much more than the old film. so come and live again and once again and put 80s skin masala films and let's celebrate the golden era of entertainment
1:19:45you back to our podcast so that we can take them and give you more value. And number three, you have to share this episode with someone else. Because one conversation can change someone's life. I'll see you next time. Until then, keep figuring out.
1:20:15you
