0:06What was real about Bollywood? The politics that happens here. Here is a little bit of a look. Did anyone ever see the bottom? Yes, they did co-actors. The only thing that has got me this far, I think, is discipline and hard work.
0:41Do you say no to certain things? I'm learning to speak now. I feel that you should prioritize quality over quantity now. Look at Shahrukh sir. When was the first time that Keith spies it? No, I don't have any competition. I've not come here to compete. I've come here to rule. Some scenes came in spite of having the money they have, the fandom they have. They are such amazing human beings. And how's his son? Many people get me, who are watching this, how hot it is. This guy will change the world. In that situation. Are you scared of something? I feel a lot of fear. How is it that one day, the work will stop?
1:20And where does this fear come from? I have seen my father working extremely, extremely hard just to feed us. I felt like as a son, I want to give him the best. My idol is my father. I really look up to him. How were you as a kid? Were you happy actually? No, it wasn't a happy house all the time. Things were not going well with my sister. Then my sister left for US and then I couldn't see her for 10 years because of that. But did it affect your sister and your relationship? It did. My sister has two kids right now and I haven't seen them. That's why, if you're all in your anger, how did you get hurt?
1:50But when there's so much anger, where does it go? It goes, it goes, it goes.
1:56Is there a memory that you want to erase? No. If I erase something from my past, I won't be who I am today. Walk me through this scenario. First time when you met Karam. Hmm. How was it?
2:11The festival season comes first, holidays and relaxes. But as the festivals come, chaos starts. Especially businesses. 2:56Let's talk about our guest today. Today, the girl came from a middle class house whose dreams have grown up with her journey with her top shows, fame, stable income for a month of 30 ,000 ,000 ,000. Then, there came a moment for the next step, leaving the comfort zone. The girl's life was simple, but the dream was so big that she would just become more. Today, the guy is making his own knowledge in the film. TV serials to the big screen. This journey is the journey of belief, courage and trust in his dreams. This episode is the end of the episode. And tell me in the comments, what have you seen from this episode?
3:47And how real is whatever people saw in Bats of Bollywood, or Bastards of Bollywood, whatever you want to call it, that's what I saw about Bollywood and how real that is I didn't hear it I didn't hear it I didn't hear it I didn't hear it I didn't hear it now I have a show so this is what you think about the world that's been shown that's exaggerated version exaggerated version is it stemmed out of reality a lot of it
4:17you see it's fiction inspired by reality what was real about it the insecurities of Asmaan Singh the politics that happens here of course a system like in every industry people have egos this is the same industry here are people here are their egos here are the top the top is the top is the top is and people are aware of it so it's like any other industry it's like that and everywhere there is politics everywhere there is interpotism everywhere there is everywhere there is there is no other other world in the world. What politics? What type of politics? Politics can be like that, man, politics is also said.
4:59I mean, the PR and PR is always going on. Like, there's a narrative building going on which I don't really enjoy. Why do you have to build a narrative? Let people build it up, let people call you a star. So, I think that all things I think are a little bit that the whole PR thing that is happening right now. But that's also, I think, it's a change that has come over the course of time. So we all are dealing with it. But tell me, how do you deal? My point is here, I have a medium where I talk to people daily or every next day or every week and I talk to people. So my core audience knows how I am or how I am.
5:39So someone will write something about me probably because that is once in a blue moon type event and someone has made a story about me or some numbers that have come to my name and some of them can write about it. of show off. But I have a channel where I tell every week. People can see what's real and what's not. So, no one can't believe so easily. You are one, you do movie. That's scary. I mean, I mean, series. And then you're, for four or five months, you're gone. So, four or five months, it's just that people are putting. So, how do you keep mental sanity? because everyone will bring a new story every day.
6:22I can bring it. I'm telling you why I have to deal with it. Because if somebody really enjoys my performance and likes me as an actor and somewhat knows me through my podcast or my interviews or whatever I put up on Instagram, then why do I address everything? I give clarification on everything. If there is something like a baby that is not true, then what will I justify it? Because if I say or not, there will be no difference. It's already become judgment on social media before you even justify yourself. People will always, anyway have an opinion about it. So, don't focus on everything, I feel.
7:07Sometimes, see it's all noise ultimately. Social media is a big, big noise. and I have worked as actors I have worked with many actors now they don't leave their phones they are sitting on the phone and I'm like what are you doing from the scene you mean how will you go out of this world when you don't come out from the world of phone and after bats came out for 2-3 days I was also on my phone it's not like I'm any different but after 2-3 days I thought what are you doing now you're crazy because everybody was writing good stuff and I'm feeling good about myself I've said if I read one bad comment right now I'll lose my plot I'll lose my cool, might as well close it, keep it in the eye and keep it in the eye because ultimately, good, bad it will go hand in hand your miscarat and your ass will always go did anyone ever try to see the lower side?
8:03yes, they did, co-actors at the beginning of the 10th in the acting, that they didn't come What are you doing? Have you felt small?
8:15I don't think so. Inferior. People will try but I never felt. Have you ever, you've never felt inferior? I felt inferior but someone's not doing it. That's your own insecurity. Yeah, of course. Is that the reason when you go to parties, you go to parties and sit in the corner because sometimes you feel like, I don't belong here. I'm not good enough. Yeah. Yeah, that, that, Still happens sometimes when you go to a party and there's a room full of people where culture is different, they are people of Mumbai, they are talking in English, so you don't speak English, of course you know how to speak in English, but that's not your way of communication.
8:54Your communication is in Hindi. So you take your own person and you come to your language and you sit in the door with glass. So that happens, but it was a lot before. It was a lot. Now it's okay. Now it's because you know, as I said, I'll derive my confidence and my validation for my work. So as long as I'm working good and my films are doing well, I'm happy. But do you think it's a double-edged sword? In what sense? To attach self-worth to your achievements. It's bad. It's bad. Then, if you have an achievement, self-worth is down. Look, what will not work? The film will not work. if I have worked hard and my job is good, I understand that I have done full effort like I didn't know that Kill will do this good I worked extremely hard on it we all did, but I can say about myself because I have done it I know that I have worked hard and the whole set knows that the girl has been very hard so what I have done in my hand I have done full now that reception is not in my hand so why do I say that I am doing it it is good or bad, I don't know much about it and the other person I really enjoy is Shark sir Aisah What guy is He inspired me in life There's a song on his life And every time I'm feeling He's so many TED talks Motivational speeches That you forget You forget how much you eat You forget how much you eat Successful you forget When you go out of that path That you get to do it You understand that Yes, everything will be done There's nothing called smart work Utilize your time meet the right people and I would have to grind To do your needs There are needs 4-5 hours There is also much time You have to shoot for 12 hours But, shooting is not everything You have to do the meetings You have to listen Jess You have to listen to a new film You have to listen to narration You have to listen to your photoshoots You have to do your You have to do interviews And they should do it?
10:46Then, make a situation And make a situation 24 hours and make a situation There is a situation So, doing a lot of refine So, I think that literally Second moved That's the easiest It's a really difficult and very hard for her for her us for the first time. When did you feel like this is the person he inspires me? Look at Shah Rukh sir.
11:07Our shooting during some scenes, we were talking about this and R & was directing. So, he was very interested in one time because he loves cinema and he loves films so much. So, he was explaining a scene to us and the action scene was that I will come and fall. that last scene if you have seen the show I have seen the show pen or paper I have seen the show a contract where he can't take so that scene he showed me I said sir you don't do it I understand if someone does stuntman or AD or does it but he loves cinema so much that he showed me that scene I feel like Laksh tu do a little and he loves doing that and you were meeting him for the first time no I met him but an interaction you know every time you get you go to him and you always ask him to ask him.
11:54He will always inspire you. And he is all about you. He is never about himself. He will always ask you, what is your life going on? We are all in a charter flight, and I have to ask some questions. I mean, when I meet my questions are very big, I always ask him. Sir, I'm not doing anything. I'm good to talk. Sir, I said that in your interview, you see everything.
12:26When was the first time you met him? and a party Amrit Pal Bindra is a friend of all our common friends he is a good friend then I was watching a film without a joke which was a shelf so Amrit and Shanaya were friends Shanaya Kapoor and Amrit was friends with Karan also so Amrit told me that you are the dharma and come to my party and have a good time so that time and simultaneously I was auditioning for I think bads someone's audition Sorry, I think after kill it happened. After kill, sorry, after kill it happened. So I was expecting that maybe Sir has seen my audition. Because I saw it two weeks ago and I was getting to meet Sir.
13:08So definitely I knew that Sir will be watching because RN is involved. So RN has seen it. Then Sir has said, I went to Sir. I was asked to ask for a moment. And Sir was there. So I said, hi Sir. So he recognized me. Then he gave me a piece of advice which I can't share. And he said something to me. He said be gregarious in life. Just be gregarious. With your performance also be gregarious. Explain what does it mean? Just like, just own it man. Just feel it. You are a star. You are a sky. Just feel it. Because when somebody says that someone asks you, sir, he is a actor. Sir, B is a actor. Sir, C is a actor.
13:47Don't you feel that there's a lot of competition? Like I'm not here to compete. I'm here to rule. When somebody says that and he believes that you need to understand where the person is coming from because to speak and to do are two different things they have said and done right so when the person talks about you he sees in his it's very evident why he's the biggest star he believes in it he believes in himself a lot which I've learned from even today probably more than that now because there's stack of proof yeah yeah he was like that but today he is like that what do you love most about him now I have met him so many times.
14:24Humility. I keep keeping a person like a human. Because I come from the city, after coming to the city, people are like, I can see my car, my phone. I have told my mom, even with Karan sir, when I met them for the first time, Karan Johor or Shahrukh sir, in spite of having the money they have, the fandom they have, the empire they have created, they are such amazing human beings they treat you like a human being insan ko insan ki tarah treat karte hai kuch nahi ke mein ye hu mein wo hu wohi air sabse achi baat tohye rakti hai haa ya thik hai maktala normal log hai agar ye kar sakta hai they make you feel that if they can do it you can also do it fair I agree that part about Karan Johar because I've not met Charuk sir unfortunately not yet till now it'll happen he'll be on the podcast one day yeah 100 % manifesting manifesting it But I read about Shah Rukh Khan as if it's a subject.
15:26Because I think it's very good. They have achieved everything. At least outside it feels like they have achieved everything. As a man, if you think about that there are 5-6-7-8 areas where they have achieved everything. They have achieved everything. There's nothing which is missing out there. But about Karan Jho, right? there were so many rumors so many things from the outside so many people are so angry and I don't know what to talk about you see that and I got to meet him and after that we spent talking about a couple of things you know a lot of times and I find it amazing that how much he cares yeah and I was like I don't have anyone I don't have any meaning to me why are you so nice.
16:20Yeah. Why do you don't have to be? He was, abhi thudun pahle we was at some restaurant and he was with his group of friends, random friends and I was leaving my friends in front of me and he just spotted it and he was like he left his dinner and he was left and then he was sitting in the beach and then he was sitting in the beach I think probably he was sharing something with them from him. Then he was coming to me and he was introducing me to me and then he was standing and asking me why is it here? What is it? How is it going? How is it going? I said, let's do dinner. Why do you I was not disturbed because I thought and every time he shows that humility at an event he invited me and I was late he voice messaged me voice note I'm sorry I can't get you because I got out I was late I was late I should say sorry and he apologized and sent a big voice note and I'm like this is unreal there's a reason that people say something about him which has made him who he is and people say something about him that people say something about him I don't know, my side is very big and I'm not even a person who has been who has been so angry not happen when you hear people you hear people in a way in a way in a way in a way but when you have in a way when you meet with him, you get to understand that the other thing was something else.
17:50That was something else. So, okay, I should learn those things. True. Have you heard anything about you? Something bad? Bro, there are so many things. I met this friend of mine, he comes to the gym. He said, bro, I took a stand for you, man. I took a stand for you. I said, why did it happen? There were these guys, I met them in a different gym and they were talking about that, man, this is a good actor. I don't have anything to do with acting That's not happening Whatever has done in life And I'm like why I defend myself What do I don't have to defend myself I'm listening to my own And look, there will be And I want to talk about things Then you know something I don't have time to talk about I don't have time to talk about anyone It's a shame in your mind You do it in my own mind People should talk It's fun, no?
18:43I believe that if you want to be the most admired and the loved person in the country then you need to be ready to become the most hated hated person also that's the only way you're gonna be done as we spoke about Karan sir he always told me the only thing I love about you is that you are a little and you're like wherever you come that reflects in your personality be like that don't do anything don't do anything because you have your weapon you have your armor as a mentor that was like the strongest advice I got from him how did it happen? how did it happen? first first after Porus it happened so Shanu Sharma who does casting for YRF so I think we got a common friend through and I reached out that you have audition so I'll tell me then she reached out we got into a whole process of auditioning so YRF she wanted to audition me so that series started 3 months and I stopped my health wise I was not good something happened so then I started that was not the way that was not the way that was the way that was the way I think Karan sir reached out to Shanu saying that do you have any guy because I am looking for a guy you know a guy is looking for a guy so she said I have the guy for you so then I started a different process audition so he liked my audition and signed me for three funds directly it was a long process but still Karan calling somebody and then you that was the same thing maybe I was relentless I was not willing to give up and they saw something in me which I didn't see like I told this to somebody also couple of days back we shoot from Flames University so someone asked sir what change has been in your mind so I said I used to feel that I'm a self-made guy but I'm not people have made me if they didn't see me in the talent anything that they didn't see me if they didn't see me, if they didn't see me or not, if they didn't see me so I'm not sitting here today so people feel like they feel like prayers so you don't have to be self-made or not fans or people's love which you bring to me nobody is self-made everybody is made by either the people in their life who are constantly there or somebody in the past or their parents or some experience which is bad that also has made you who you are you are not celebrated you are an outcome of all the people who have been around you so that's true but first time when you met Karan how was it?
21:27I was nervous I was very nervous what the hell walk me through this scenario Shanu the call came and she said that you have to meet Mr. Johar tomorrow. And I said, okay, I have to go and meet his assistant. Yeah, I have to meet someone. I said, no. I said, yeah, who wants to meet? His assistant. Give me his number. I'll talk to him or her. She said, no, you have to meet Mr. Johar in person. I said, I have to meet Karanjor. He said, yes. I said, okay, okay. It's going to be the biggest meeting of my life now. Phone cut. Then I went to four or five, six. I said, what do I wear? I said, what do I wear?
22:05I said, what do I wear to wear? I mean, what do I wear to look good? So I remember I wore a blue knit t-shirt and light blue denims. And I was long hair because I was porous. I was long hair. It was a meeting at 3 o 'clock. I was in office at 3 o 'clock. And I was out of 2 o 'clock. The office was hardly 10 minutes away from my house. But I left an hour back. Hour prior. No, what if it goes on? What if it goes on? Nothing can happen. If this meeting is missed, Laksh. You'll be the biggest fool. So don't miss this meeting. I got to reach the time. I got to reach the door for about 30. I was standing up and said, sir, what are you doing?
22:43I said, brother, stop. Please, there is a meeting. I stood in the parking lot. So he also understood that it was an important meeting. So he also gave me 50-60. I was happy. Then I think at 2.50, I messaged Len, who is sir's assistant. He said, no, no, please come up. Why are you sitting down below? Then I went up. I was in a office and I was getting out of a meeting. And then he was coming to meet me. so I thought I was like good, you can see this one one small boy he doesn't have a mentality he can see this so that's my but then he was extremely polite asked what film you do what you do and he was talking probably he knew that I'm from Delhi he was talking in English but then I didn't know any that well now I can speak well I'm assuming at that time I didn't say anything I was scared I was scared but I didn't say all of you so I talked a little bit about English and I came to Hindi and I liked that Hindi I didn't say Hindi I think I didn't say Hindi I got a lot of Hindi actor so I was happy but extremely I mean I was shocked that I was so humble that this guy is so normal I thought that it would be a little arrogance, I would say you would be a little bit like a friend like how you and I are sitting, he spoke to me Okay, family, what's your father, what's your mother, why do you want to be actor, which film is my favorite, which film is my favorite, which film is my favorite.
24:12So, I have all the answers came to me. I have all the answers. I have all the answers. And maybe the answer is correct. so it's okay it's okay I like to talk but his process was different the auditioning his process is that we will do photo shoots we will do you will do lip sync in the songs we will do with Colin Dekuna who was the director of the friend so that process is also going to be three minutes so after that finally I got a call from Shanu saying that you're on board and he thinks you have it so then I met sir and he was like son I'm very proud of you make me proud so it's a good thing again then then you're part of family Now he called me a week back after Bats came out.
24:51I think it was extremely emotional and he said, I'm so proud of you, son. I'm so proud of you. Now people are calling me and telling me that I feel like a father. I feel like my son, my son has a glass stop. Nice. I said, thank you so much, sir. Yeah, he called me out. But he asked you, why do you want to be an actor? What did he answer? I asked him to be an actor. I asked him to be an actor. I said, I should be famous. Sir, it's good to be rich and famous. I didn't give him any serious answer. Is that the real answer? I don't know, man. Like now, of course, people recognize me and all. It's nice.
25:27But I genuinely love the craft. I love the... What, did you do it on TV? No, it was a good thing. It was a good thing. It was a good thing. In the morning, you have to go to the scene and get ready to go. You have to deliver it. There is no process behind it. There is a lot of work here. There is a lot of work here. and now I have finished the shoot of my heart and it was very fun just to play a different character because I feel that I am not very expressive in my personal life so when I get the opportunity to express I get a lot of fun you get to express a lot you get to be somebody and get paid for it what can be a better job than this fair, you changed your surname you left your surname I try not to use it why?
26:14I was like, I was angry at my childhood. So, my friends were two or three, different sections. They didn't get home because they came from India. It was a very funny thing. In Mumbai, this thing is happening. Peace society, today. So, when you come to the new, you're young, you don't use your name. Because I don't want people to judge me based on that. I don't use it. I don't use it.
26:45But were you always this confident?
27:11I am a person too. But you have said somewhere that I was ashamed of myself. Like I was ashamed of myself. I worry high, yes. The first show was awful. I was very bad in that. But then I worked on myself, I worked on my work, I worked on my addiction, I worked on my voice, I worked on my acting, I worked on everything. Then I started to get confidence. Once you take control, I think that's the time you get more confident. If you worry about things that you're not taking control of, then I get stress. if I was worried after watching I was sitting there no shit I'm going to get another show people will be angry so no what I did I said okay before I sign another show I need to work on this let me work on the craft let me polish it more let me get better as an actor then find work yeah then I'm scared when I face camera so that was a good idea so you had a creative shame until a point until a point and then you started working Do you still have creative shame?
28:09Yeah, yeah. It's not so much. Critical home is on my own work. But now I'm working towards ease. I want to be, like you know how, I just want ease with my craft. That it's easy to do a scene. It's just gone. And the prep, whatever I do, doesn't need to show anyone. You know, that's my next goal in life. So when you go through that period, now you're talking about king and you're thinking, wow, I'm a porous character. I was getting paid for 3-4 thousand dollars. 12-15 thousand dollars. I was getting paid for 25-30 ,000 ,000 dollars. No, I was getting paid for 25-30 ,000 ,000 dollars. After that, there were offers for 20-20 ,000 dollars.
28:51But I didn't do it, I was getting paid for 25-30 ,000 dollars. I was getting paid for 12-30 ,000 dollars. That's a good price. I was getting paid for every month and I was getting paid for the whole money. It's a must. Now, this is a feeling. feeling now a movie cancer cancer or that period of back-to-back panauti what do you think what what goes on in your mind that it is not your fault your fault is not your job is to get up and do your practice, listen to your music, listen to your gym, go to the gym, watch the movies and do whatever you do do not do anything. Don't change anything about your routine.
29:41So, five years you didn't feel anything apart from this? I was blank. I was numb to it. I was like, two, two, two, two, two. What you're saying? I don't know. Luckily, it didn't happen. self-doubt my content genuinely I didn't like I had nothing on my own

So you do the math now. In 2020, 2022, it's a good thing. So my father said, that's a lot of money. I have not seen that kind of money in my entire life. Just grab onto it. I said, okay. Then I sat a little bit. Then I was surprised. I don't know why. I was like, why can't I become a movie star? Why can't I? What is my mind? He is doing it. He is doing it. He is doing it. He is doing it. He is doing it. He is doing it. He is doing it.
32:19He is doing it. I was doing it. So it was a thing. I don't know what happened Then People come to life They meet their moments And they open the door And things changed over night I never thought I didn't know Whatever I want to ask That I got From the top I want to ask I want to ask Some things I want to ask I want to ask I want to ask I want to ask I just want something, just make me whatever, I'll give 1000 auditions for it, whatever body I'll give, the sound I'll give, as an actor, the craft I'll give. Similar with dharma, I'll give one day in and day out, one podcast, one time, it wasn't a podcast, there were many motivational speeches, that until you don't want it as bad as you want to breathe, that kind of line, it's going to keep in mind, every pore in your body should want it so you're not gonna succeed until until you want it as bad as you wanna breathe yeah you won't get it and it was perpetually in my eyes and I just looked up I did it at 12 o 'clock I'm not sleeping I don't sleep please I want it I want it you're back 5am alarm back on your feet routine practice practice practice back from the back.
33:48When will it come? Whatever it takes, I will do it. Whatever it takes. And today I will say whatever it takes. And what made you say that this is not a whole life and become a movie star? Yeah, I had done everything in that show. Every actor's dream that all the emotions play and play that I did. And then the quality was in the TV that was also reduced. Creative a little lost the track I feel we are not able to do it in that way because TV medium is like that every day you have to deliver a new episode and every day you can't be creative a film makes it 2 years and it's good writing and then you have to make a film and in TV you have to give a new thing so it's difficult for writers also to think of new things this is why TV quality is falling down, shows don't feel good and cringe is getting a bit of a bit so I was 23 when I left television so I can't be a movie star if I'm TV I've got a name of my movie star but I've got a dream where I was I don't know so I was a dream trainer so I was a dream trainer so I don't know if you were a movie star no it was a big dream so it was a big dream it was a big dream I was a big dream how to know why I don't know one thing I've got to do work and I'm going to be simple air and very simple I mean someone asked me formula I have to tell very simple I am working doing being crazy be obsessed with it one day do you follow stoicism no do you know stoic mentality no so
35:35you are like your goal and you are obsessed and you are just doing it you don't what is internally internally, you become so strong in your inner world, that the world is falling, you don't care. You don't care. You have decided a destiny, and you're prepared to do anything and everything, and you're not pretending you're absolute true. The world is falling, dying, someone does bad, does good, you don't care about what happens externally. Internally, you're in a bliss state, and you're just going at it. Yeah. There's something of that sort. It could be, yeah. your journey gets me to this letter and I wrote this I'll start a podcast and I wrote down Seneca letters about so he says that many are frightened by the things they pretend they want so what does it actually mean I'm gonna say it in English and then I'm gonna repeat it in Hindi because I want to exactly narrate it the way it was we often say that we want success we want love, we want fame we want freedom but when the moment comes to truly pursue or accept them, we freeze because deep down subconsciously those things demand transformation and responsibility which many people are not able to do so people say that they want fame, people say that they want success, people say that they want to become the biggest of the biggest stars and biggest everything, they are not ready to transform they are scared that the identity that we have built the identity that I have built till today I'll have to shed that and that will require a lot of effort, transformation and things that that I have built till now so subconsciously you don't leave because you have to imagine at the stage you had to drop everything that you had asked for you became what you you said I wanted to be and everything came from love and then you had to leave everything and then you had to start a new life so most of the people they fear that they don't want to leave their current reality to become something how did you do that I don't know man what gave you confidence to it look many people are not able to they're not able to leave their current life in in pursue of their dreams I think it was my age also I was young and like why can't you what can happen what can happen what can happen what can happen I ask myself if you have left the TV for always what will happen these people will not give a job they will give a job they will give a job this day will not give a job come on the day will not give a job but for 2 years 2 years 3 years I mean I don't try I don't think I'm scared I'm scared which is the fear that it's less
38:40How does a person become big? How? I don't know. I don't read a lot of books. But I follow a lot of journeys. All the things common are traits. Work. Hard work. Hard work can change your kismet, I feel. I truly believe in that. Your talent will be 19-20. Your work will not be 19-20. Because a talented man can sit at home. Hard working man will be out of the house. he will earn money. Because he has hit you on something. So I think that there is one thing you have to do. Because there are changes. Like many young people who watch dreams. But don't watch dreams. Just go outside. The world is yours.
39:24Anything in the world is achievable. But do you feel the pressure now? Karan Johar on the podcast said that 52 crore film um um outsider if you wanna call it yeah they lifted up and how beautifully they did it right so you and Raghav you were talking about yeah you say outsider 52 crore film no PR no film nothing and he dropped so when we talk like this someone like Karan Johor in industry talks about you like that do you feel the pressure that the next will not be like that pressure of course I won't deny that. Now, like I was just thinking this day before yesterday, that now the struggle is different.
40:07First, I was looking forward to doing work, now I have to do the work. What do I want to do now? Because now I'm coming to office, scripts, you have to get a film. So now your choices will define you. What kind of journey that, it's a different journey now. So pressure is that I choose the right thing, I'll do good films, and I'll do that film on which I have on my own. like kill on me I don't know that I have to film on the bats on me I don't know that I have to film on the bats so I hope that when I sign another film or the other people I have to see and I have to see it's fun so it's a responsibility on your own and I will enjoy but don't let you enjoy so much and pressure it's a fun yeah it's a fun what is the three film deal logic I don't know it's how they operate because they feel it's also their right I feel because they invest so much in you they invest a lot like my company does a lot for me like Dostana of course it didn't happen but they paid every penny of that film to me this is why I survived the first year COVID-19 and I invest a lot in your workshops if you have prepared for any film so I think that when someone invest in three films it becomes so much if you have a star then you have two films but it doesn't happen that we have to do it with us, we can't do it outside, it's a rule, you are all open to work outside as well.
41:32And I... It's a lot, it means, it means that I mean, it means that I mean, it means that three films, it's locked, it will get a lock. It will get you. Do you say no to certain things? I'm learning to speak to it, generally. Before, the insecurity was that, if I didn't speak, I didn't get to work. It was so much that someone was talking to me. After Kill, I must have met 50 people with their scripts, and every script used to be like, what a story, what a film can you do? When my agent sat me down, he said you can't do all the films, there are 2 films, 3 films max you can do one year and you like them, do you work?
42:04But it was a middle class syndrome that was sitting at a very long time, you go and see people and see people, everyone was saying yes, it was excitement. So, everyone was leaving you leave it, I was leaving everyone, but I realized that everything was not done. So you were like like role play bad volume yeah soda yeah 3D yeah do it I just do it I'll do it but now you can't do it now you I feel that you should prioritize quality over quantity now do it in good films don't do it but whatever you do it you do it and do it and make sure that it's unique like after Kill I got a lot of films that were very similar to Kill very similar to the action zone that was and in the beginning I feel that you have that has a benefit that you can experiment.
42:55So, I am trying to do that now. I don't want to fix it now. I just want to do it. Like, after watching bats, people haven't said that you are actor. You are acting. So, what did I do in the kill? You are killing me. I thought you were making it easy. It was not acting. So, it's okay. My favorite film, Chandra, My Heart, the next year's release is a very different character. I am not playing Alpha at all in that. I'm filming with Ananya Panday. It's a romantic film. So, it's a different story. So, I'm trying to do so many new things. I can do so many different things. And I can grow as an artist.
43:31And why do you think this process is different? Why not do you have different types? Why not dominate in one type? And then, like I'm just trying to make some parallels. I don't know why people will give me a name. I'm doing some actors. Even today, South A picture of South Particularly, if they play a picture Then that actor Is the same type of roles Back to back and then they are known for that And then They are doing one picture or three years But they are taking a movie Then he's like This will happen And this is expected Grandiose, this is action This is a girl of the village He will save the poor people All of that and they own that identity and they have fun to do the same same same once in a while experiment but with you and I've heard this from a lot of people in many podcasts interviews and other people do this do this different type of work different type of things so why this different thought process because in one image see I was a television actor the time when I left television Porus was one of the biggest shows that I had done so if I had to do it and I had to get to work then I would leave them in a TV.
44:46So why do I come to film and why do I kill myself here? Why do I have closed two films and then a kill came? Because I don't, I don't have a person who can sit at one place or can do something once once once. And TV is something that makes you monotonous. You're going to take one of the clothes and wear a dress and you're going to wear that face and you're going to get to get caught. So I was frustrated. I was like, I want to break free. I want to do something different. And let's see what happens next. With films also, So I feel that a kill to have been now. Okay, action people have seen that he's doing that he's doing that he's doing that he's doing that he's doing action.
45:22Action is doing that he's doing and what happened in the bads that I saw a 60-60 which I was 10 years before. Then you start layering yourself politically correct, humble, all layers start to get on your own. So I got a little freedom or not. I'm going to spread a little. So I have to try some comedy and try some that. I can see how much I can do it If it fails, it will go to action film It will go to action So it will be time Experimenting and new things I don't think that if I'm not I don't think I've done it If I fail, the action That will also go Assurity is not that As much action film will go Assurity is not that If I'm not writing it If I'm not writing it And it will be super duper hit I'll do it Might as well experiment and do like discover yourself as an artist see what can you do are you scared of something I'm scared of I'm scared of of course fear sometimes how do you happen to be a day I'm closed so I have a fear that if I do a little less hard work then I might land on my so I do extra hard work every time there's a basic scene that I remember in Kela I had to just move from point A to point B so I went to Nikhil's voice I said Nikhil sir if I move like this goons are coming from that direction what if they spot me like there's a fear like the angle was such that you can see that if someone sees from there then you'll see me so he said you have a fair point so I used to be that guy like I will ask a lot of questions but reasonable questions either you can convince me or I can convince you simple no ego is like no, what I'm saying I have a say so I say it you have to answer I'll be convinced I will be closed or not then you will be convinced then you will see and where does this fear come from yeah the only thing that has got me this far I think is discipline and hard work honestly because I have seen my father working extremely extremely hard just to feed us and put a roof over our head and doing something that he didn't like at all I mean I saw my father in the morning and did that work and came back which he didn't enjoy that day and on the shoulder and then there are deaths in the head, listening to the boss's voice, and they feel like I'm not getting to know as a son.
47:49But as a son you can make out, your father's not happy, he's living a life only for you guys. But that's why you have to understand that that's why a father's son's relationship doesn't even know how to be. We judge him, and we judge him, what will he be? He doesn't understand me, and I'm saying, you will understand me. So that's the time, you know, I started respecting my father. and I was like yeah this is what a man I never understand this man and then people say that your idols are this one or this hero or that hero my idol is my father honestly I really look up to him and I have found a new respect for him after becoming the man I am today and you respect him more because his sacrifices were a lot and he never followed his passion because he had to feed you guys yeah that's when was the first time you realized this yeah your father um that his hours I would talk up I would tell him he background with and like when we come to the house and talk to our mother, we were listening to what we were talking about.
48:56That he said that he said that. And I'm saying how can anyone talk to my father? How dare he? But you are so small and you don't understand. How can you talk to him? In a condescending way, that he is like this. And my father told me, now he told me we are back. So he came over, we were celebrating and all. So he told me, Polo is my nickname. Okay. He talked about this like this and he's a 10-year-old. Why? He's my boss. Nothing. There will be ego clash. There will be something. And my father was one of the best workers in the whole company. he used to be a lot of pride. Then it felt like, I want to change everything for him.
49:37I want to give him the best. I want him to drive a Mercedes, fly in a charter and wear a Rolex on his hand. So that motivation was made in a very early life Which age was this? My motivation was at the age of 17 Because my cousins were doing really well Academically And they were excelling And I wasn't And comparisons You can never run away from them They will get you I went somewhere and I said Don't do comparisons Don't do this thing But we were there to compare And that was the effect of our confidence and our morale. So I understood that I was saying that this person is comparing because it is good for me.
50:23But I couldn't express myself. The way. The way. The intent is good. So today I have seen that my father got very limited. And who were working on his basis, I got a salary. So I was the only one day I will change my life I have a very similar story I think I was in 9th class 8th, 9th and first time we as a family celebrate our father I think we were 8-9 people from family we took a hotel, 3 star hotel I still remember the hotel its name is The Planet and there because my dad had called him in any event in the restaurant where there was a party and there was a triangle shaped chili paneer so that they had to celebrate for one day to celebrate for this and we all went there and we ordered, we didn't know we were going to eat the hotel and they didn't eat it like he ordered one plate and let us eat and they didn't eat anything else he said I don't want to eat it like nothing, he didn't which I liked very much, I didn't like it.
51:43I was probably not sure what my brother would like to know. What is his value? For him, that was a big thing. And he didn't eat that time. Because he wanted to save that money. And not order more money. And that was the first day. The first time I realized that I was thinking about a good house. I was thinking about why? Because someone ate at home and ate at home. Wow. So first time, how your boss's boss talked about this ego. He said that he wanted to do something good for us. and he saved that money because they knew that maybe future and children should have paid money or something. And that day I was like, I have to earn so much money, I have to make this big.
52:19That I'll be able to do something big. And my family should not have to look back to see. I will never buy a hotel. I will have a charter. I will have a little price list. All of that, my thoughts were. And same with my cousins, Sare Toppers. sub-tomber same comparison it's a very wrong spot to begin very and I had to believe in reality in the beginning what happens, it will happen I won't try in the study because they were 95-96 % I was like 50 I'm trying to do it it's a big difference so that gave me that particular perspective later my father didn't do so good for himself that I don't need to do that.
53:07But that's how I started getting little serious in my life. Do you have this? Lot of those kids who are sacrificing their parents are one thing. Sacrifice guilt. Sacrifice guilt? It will come to you. Have you heard of it? Yeah, I'm hearing this for the first time but I can sense the meaning behind it. That guilt you need. You can't be until an age you can be ignorant to the fact that yes, they are doing it and that's the fact that I was thinking that I was thinking that I was thinking that after that when I started to grow and started to grow I said no, that's the fact that they are doing it because they love you and they are parents and when you have time then you have to do it so guilt is an excellent thing but has it become your driving force because there's a research that that those children who have sacrificed when they have this type of guilt and their dreams they don't have
54:14It could be that. I don't know if it's that. But it could be that. I'll tell you why. Because now when I tell my parents that, you know, Mom, if you don't like your house, tell us. We try to work harder. If you don't like your house, tell us. We'll take it. So now, they hear the sound of the inside that no you have to give them the best so maybe that is what you are saying I don't know if that is the thing but I think there is a degree to it maybe this is my inside but I didn't address this and is it just you thinking you all think yourself that I have to do my job and I have to do a lot of work because they have to do a lot of work that there is also a expectation that we have to do so much work that you have to do something I think that day day they're feeling confined on the air.
55:04Came out. Life is excellent too, I agree. After that.. After that we have just made. Yeah. I don't want to take your own, don't do it. Yeah, that means, there are basic things that are happening, like a car, a car that gave me my dad. Now my premier was the baddest. I said, I'm going to go to the premier. My mother was in California because my sister lives there. So I said, I'm going to go, we'll go, we'll go, we'll go, we'll go, we'll go, we'll go, you'll be fine. So I said, okay, I'm going to get a suit. I got a suit, I got a suit. So I got a suit, I said, no tension. I'll go and take my suit.
55:44I said, I'll take my suit. I don't have a suit. The person will come to the house and take your suit. We spoke for you. Yes, we spoke for you. And I was smart. I was wearing a hat and I took the car and took him two doors. Nice. It was a great big deal. So, I was wearing a party back and I didn't call. I didn't take a call. Because I was shooting that time. Two calls, three calls, four calls. Then a screenshot of the watch and the price written below it. He said, answer quick. I said okay, why did you get so much money for me? I said okay, no tension is for you. I want you to have this and I know that you love watches.
56:23No, take it back, do it back, do it back. I said okay, you should give it back, I'll give it back. Then he kept it. So they are still not used to the fact that you know, they feel that don't do the money. They think that their parents are like. All middle class dads are scared. Why are they like this? Like now, I am doing my dad. I was giving a phone for three days. He gave me a phone and gave me a phone. And I'm like, you have made a lot of money for you. You have made a lot of money. I have made a lot of money. Together as a family, we are now very well-tuned. In a good spot. Very good spot that if we have given this money, we will not have anything.
57:05At least for next 25 years, it will not happen. maybe I don't know but I don't but he's like just know why so we have to do that I and my brother sometime that I take something I have to write it but I'll buy for I have to write it but it's not good that's a good way to do it so you take it then they take it okay it's waste so I keep shoes I don't wear I don't don't wear I wear I will be wasted. I will be wasted. What will happen? And then he'll wear it. And then he'll wear it for life. Like saying, my son will be. And he has a lot of pride. I have a direct. Maybe they know that your tactic is.
57:51You never know. Probably. Now I think. Maybe it will be possible to know them. But now, I think the end of our life is not going to end. Acting is going on. Like till today. Maybe for the love of others. I think that if he doesn't want to tell him I don't want to ask him that's very very fair and we also say let's not take it give it to this way it's usually unsaid is the same I feel fair but will you if ever do you want to become do you want to have kids where are you ever of course of course I want to have a family and will you be a kind of father who will be like disciplined I will make you a big big big big big come on your father you have done you will be a big big I want him to have the best life.
58:35And do it. You've worked hard. You're going to have fun. Why are you going to have the best life? Very, very predictable answer. Why? There's some theory. I don't know how true or false is. Who's fourth or fifth generation wants to make a trick. Who's first generation wants to make a big one. bhai uda uda tension i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean i mean what do you do because this world you need money this world i mean you don't need money to be happy you need money to be happy true that's a god's honest truth you need money so if somebody if your father has it okay udao i mean i don't have any problem when i say i mean I will say, brother, you are fun.
59:28I am doing my work. You are working, I am working. Because our mind was working. We didn't say that in the morning, go to the shoot at the shoot at the morning, go to the gym at the 4th, go to the shoot at the interview, do the same thing at the morning. We are doing something. We want to do something. We can't do any work at gunpoint. If you do your heart, you will do it. If you wake up at the morning, then you will not wake up. Simple thing. We'll talk about obsession. But tell me about your father first. More. what is one quality that you love about your father and one quality you don't like about him I don't like that he doesn't voice out
1:00:32if somebody is putting pressure on him, that nothing happened. And we as a son and my daughter also, like his daughter, like my sister used to talk about this. Why do we take it, Papa? Why are they taking it? Why is he putting up with all this? Do you think your generation will listen to this? No. No. Why is it happening? People are, overall, leave the family and leave the whole thing. Overall, we are less tolerant. Dude, I, when I started my career in the beginning, on TV, I also had a lot of problems I remember that I was shooting and I was standing in the distance and I was standing in the distance I mean, the whole unit was able to see and listen and he had the same thing that I was surprised in the whole unit that you think you know better you think you know better I was walking away from the distance and I was surprised and my eyes were coming and then I quickly took out my phone and I made a list of if I leave the show what are the cons if I keep on doing the show what are the pros immediately I was like I was 19 years old that time 20 years ago but I understood that if I leave my job I don't have money if I don't have money I don't have to worry about it because I have to be a new city and I am in the background so I am going to be a little to be a little so I was going to be a little so it was probably somewhere else but just a little voice I got my own I understood that my worth is and and, uh, keep trust in your work, the rest of what happens, will happen.
1:02:04I was coming in a very early, because probably, because I was staying alone, uh, so I started giving it, and I said, no, brother, not like, I'll say something back to you, but I'll just cut off, and I'll be like, no, this I can't do, I won't be a part of this. So, you feel, everyone is like this, it's like our generation, because, more people are getting more money, and, everyone has a place, where they can voice out their opinion, it wasn't before, probably if our parents sometimes had a story that they could take a home and they could take a pity and we could take a pity in social media and we could say something we can voice out so we feel there's a sense of power how much power really falls that's not but we feel that power and we feel options opportunities and that's why we're becoming less tolerant 100 % a sense of security a sense of freedom that was not before.
1:02:59You know Charlie Munger? I've heard of him. Warren Buffett's partner. Oh, yes, yes. I'm paraphrase his iconic quote. I don't remember exactly what he said. He said that the point of spending money is just the same. That you can stay alone. You don't have to stay alone with that person who doesn't understand your story. Or who you are angry. That's the only point of making money. There's no other point of making money. You will have to come back to our condition. no one doesn't listen to anyone, no call time, no text, no bank phone, no one take your own opinion, take your big day. Did you have EMIs?
1:03:38My car is my car, but that's not so much stress. That was a very tough decision I took, I don't know why I took that decision. Which car you've ever bought? I bought in 2013 BMW 5 Series. Okay. And I was such a I was just like, if I took that car to me, things were getting too comfortable I think. And I think kill, shoot was going to be released. And my father actually saw this ad of some BMW. And he said, no, you don't have to take it, what happened? I said, Papa, there's not so much for me. And things will be cut to cut. And that time I was driving a Honda City. 2016 model. I was given the TV so I was like I was like, let's do it and I was like, I called my car I called my car when the car was my car I said, shit man what a car the BMW 5 series was my dream car new or pre-owned?
1:04:35new, brand new my idea was that I would take it but my mother went straight and sat down on the car driving seat she was sitting she was sitting take it I said, mom, you want to take it? I said, okay. Then the conversation was made. The next things were big. Then the bads' shoot, the bads' reading started going on. That time the bads got locked. Then I was like, you can take it. You can take it. You can take it. You can take it. But my mom's got the same thing. Her conviction is strong in my mind. For some reason. Because my mom had to send it. She had all the decisions. They all had to take it.
1:05:13my life. Their gut feeling, instinct is their to take me and work always. And what's mummi's gut feeling about you? What was it? You said mummi who says that's what she's doing. When was the first time mom said that my son will do I'm here because of her because I think back in 2014 immediately after my 12th standard I didn't college because my grades were low my marks were not good and all friends have been in good colleges and that that time a senior of mine in school, Tarun, unka naam tha, to wo MTV k liye kama karthatha, to usne bola ke bhai, ek show ho raha, roadies karke, uska audition hai, chala ja, na achcha, on that time, roadies was actually pretty cool, matoly, roadies, ek vibe thi, us time pe, roadies ex tha, vata nini kya tha, woh, woh, na nga, thik hai, chalte hai, to maen, gher pe bäthha wohon, apna gym vim karke, koji aya hoon ga, gumpir ke londo, ke saath, where I sit here, my mother said, you know, you know someone who knows you?
1:06:10I'm not going to go. And I was down with fever or something. I said, no, mother, what do I do? I don't want to go. I don't know what I want to do. Why go? I don't know what I was talking about. What was the child's saying? No, go. I don't know. I said, why go? I don't know. There are lines that are coming. There are many things. No, it doesn't happen. I don't know. I'll go and tell you, brother. You're a roadie. It's not like that. Why do I do? that time I was working as a gym trainer I used to make some 3-4 thousand rupees a month and I was very happy at the age of 17 I said let's go I'll take my money so I'll take off so no go go go so then I went and got there and then I like things were just happening for me I didn't get to they didn't ask me to stand in a line when I entered there was the gate was about to shut only 10 minutes I'm in one of the officials he saw me He said you come forward.
1:07:07I said, man, 1.500 people are standing, 1.500 people are standing. Why are you calling me? I don't know why he called me. And he made me stand in the very first row. I was amongst the top 10 guys to enter the GD, the group discussion for some reason. I didn't know what happened. I said, man, you're divine intervention. Something happened. Form one, then there was a group discussion. They gave some topic to talk about. And everyone is playing, we're playing. So I said, I was telling the GD instructor, I said, man, this will not happen.
1:07:38and I told you to come for their personal interview and I told my father he came late from work and I told the entire family that I have been here and I told you to call for main interview my family was so happy they were so happy probably that I won't be so happy I won't be so happy why? I won't be so happy I thought something happened in my life. Someone told you to once again. My father could mutton for me. My sister was sending messages to our friends. My brother had been in the OD's. He called it. I said, I'm so happy with them. So, I'm going to leave. My father said to me. I'm going to leave.
1:08:21So, we got up in the morning. We got a Swift for Blue. We got a Swift. I got up in the morning. 5-6 am I reached. My selection was made. and then they called me up and said listen we think that in spite of doing roadies would you be open to do a fictional show, so I asked what is the benefit, so he said Mumbai will come and get money, I said let's go two things, the freedom was the opportunity to get out of Delhi and the money, the two got I said let's go, then the bag took it, how much money did you get? monthly I got 55 ,000 I got a lot of money, I got a lot of money It was a big jump for me.
1:09:00But no, it was a bit of a story. When you come to Mumbai, you have to understand that rent is 5000 rupees. Rent is 30-35 rupees. So I made a math. I said, 30-30 rupees is rent. 15-20 rupees is going to go to the food. So you have to pay for 5 ,000 rupees. What do you do in life? But okay, you had to start. So that was all because of my mother. And then one thing led to the other. Then I realized that I have to work on the craft. Because this is a craft again. I was just sitting on it, I was just a good looking girl, his voice is good, so I said that I will end my game very soon, no one will ask me.
1:09:34So then I realized that I need to work on it. And then I really fell in love with the craft. So then I was doing it and doing it. Yeah. How were you as a kid? Were you happy actually? No. Not at all. Not even close. In 15 years, you were not happy. Not at all. I was not happy. I don't know. That's why I'm not good. I'm powerless. I'm powerless. Plus, a lot of things, things are very... So, it wasn't a happy house all the time. And our parents don't realize whatever it is in the house, the children know everything. And the children know everything. So, things were not going well with my sister.
1:10:14She was in a relationship which didn't, which wasn't the most pleasant one. So, she got impact on her own house. to go to bed. So then, you can go to bed. So then, you can go to bed. You can go to bed. In the house. So, when you think about it, you can go out here. The neighborhood was like the toxic. You can't understand them. Neighborhood was a lot. Neighborhood was a lot. I was scared to bring my daughter to my house. Because the girl was weird. was very sad. There was a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot of so I was very angry at that time that I was just going to give it to him and the system you can do it didn't happen there.
1:11:00So I just wanted to break free. I wanted to give them a better life and because of that then my sister left for US and then I couldn't see her for ten years because of that. So we were apart that's why everything was in you. So how did you kuchara ho gaya but did it affect your sister and your relationship it did my sister has two kids right now and I haven't seen them abhi the relationship is not like of course like last year I went and I saw the elder one Tulsi ka naam he's very beloved but the one who 3 months ago is Adidev name I don't get to him now and I'll go of course now I can visit her but it was that time that was like that I didn't see him for 10 years I was like no but 10 years ago she left because of this part.
1:11:48Yeah. So, she had gone far from there. She got out there. And what did you feel at that point as a brother? You were your younger brother? Of course, yes. I was five years old. But I felt like I was dead. I was numb. I was numb. I didn't have any feeling. I was just saying, let's go. Go, start a new life. And I'm happy there. As a family, that's what we were hoping for and praying for. But it's not like I could express a lot that time because as men we don't anyway express and in 17 years you can express without that I don't have to give anything so just in my brother that is your sister is older or older like I have a lot of sisters I mean cousins but we all we all grew up in the same house joint family so my sister and my little sister there's a very protective layer even though I know that if someone involved involved is which is more powerful than 10 times.
1:12:48I have a certain anger. I mean, there is a level of anger that this doesn't have to be a chance. Anything is happening. And sometimes you feel powerless. If this is a lot of people, what do I do? So there's a lot of protection kind of feeling. And when you're not able to do something, then what do you do? See, it was anger because you were powerless, right? I was angry because I was powerless and I wasn't able to do anything for my family and as men no matter what age you are in there's no connection between your age but you always want to give your family the best and you want to protect them for some reason I don't know why men are built like this logically I say that this is my family it's my responsibility I'm a protector as the young protector of my family I was not able to do anything so I was angry at myself as well so when I got a chance to leave the city I did I wanted to change the life of my family and mine as well but did you feel that that you abandoned that time when you need two or did you leave your daughter almost my daughter and I left 7 I left US and then I left Mumbai almost 7 I got a job here then it was also there so my parents my parents were only like you start your life this is happening for good you go to the both so we were all together I was different.
1:14:14I was different. I was different. But mom and dad was with me. Mom and dad was with me. And has this expressed in the house? No. Now, the thing is always happening. No. In that time, in 17 years, he told me how to do this. No, no, no. Do you think that if today, which type of wisdom you have, what you know today, if you go back to that situation, do you deal differently? I don't want to go back. like when somebody tells me Delhi jana hai, myra bhoat mood off ho jata hai kaam se, aaj vhi, bilkul mjhe koji achi memory nai hai waha ki, mujhe bilkul man ni karta jane ga mujhe bhoji poochta bhi hai, kyaar Delhi jana hai of course, bhoat sarhe dost hai waha pe, maza ata hai, khana wana achcha hai, ye hoa hai, lagean kain hai dil ke kisi kone mein wo chiz hai, kyaar hao yaas se, mato, itni koi fond memories nai hai o jaga ke saath meri, or us gali ke saath jahan pe pala badao mein, nahi jana because of this dead one incident Yeah.
1:15:11And how long that period? Good two years, yeah. Good two years. Were you ever in a room alone and you used to like get angry or cry? You couldn't see someone at home. Yes, my house was small. It was a house. So, one camera was my wife. One camera was my father and mother. And a kitchen and a washroom. So, where did you go? So, I was joined by the gym. That aggression was not. You just feel like you're crazy. You're doing anything. I used to feel that when you go here, I got sanity. I got a little peace. I got a little escape. That's a better word to use. So you were dealing with your problems by escaping.
1:15:53Yeah, I was escaping. That's most of us. How do you think you're going to be able to do it? But when you're so angry, you're going to get out of it. You're going to get out of it in the film.
1:16:06It's fun to be in the film. because you get to express a lot here. But then, when you're not able to express anger and helplessness you feel like crying. I mean, you feel like crying. Or you become numb. Or you become numb. Which I became. And my only, that's why I got distracted by work. Numb as in, I mean, I don't feel anything. But whatever happens. I mean, I switch off one day. I mean, let's move on. That's what we do, right? We never address it. We never talk to people. We're like, okay, it is in the past. What has happened has happened. Let's switch off, disconnect and get going. So when I came to Mumbai, I had this.
1:16:45I had 6 years on TV for 5 years. So I had to get up at 4 hours. That's probably that's motivation. Obsession with work. Because I was probably running away from something. Maybe this is why. Because now when I'm talking to you, I'm realizing probably. That's how it will happen. Yeah, it was escape. It was escape. Just run away. I want to be like. I want to be like. Did you at any point feel like. that I become powerful. Yeah. That point. Is it now as? Definitely. That I don't have to eat. At least I'm in my life normal. That I don't have to work. I work for that. I live in my condition. I work in my way.
1:17:23What do you think gives power? Discipline. Hard work. That's the only thing I have. I'm not the most talented guy out there. I'm not the best looker. I'm not the best dancer. But I'm a hard worker. and I say this with utmost pride that you won't be able to work out I'll die for this work I say the same thing I'm like, what else do you do? I mean, someone asked me to dance I said, let's do it I said, no sir, I'll learn I said, no sir, I'll learn I said, what's the film about learning? It's hard to do it It's hard to do it 12 hours, one thing I'll do it I'll come in and in I'll do it I'll do it I'll do it So, feeling childhood not feeling good introvert fear of that I'm not getting angry so I'm not getting friends I'm looking for something and all of me are watching me from the same like family like the same that my father's not powerful my father's good but I got more than that because the other people have got worse now you feel like that the bad people have more than that bad people have more than that bad people have more than that now I understand that whatever person who does anything he's doing in his own his own justified I mean, if someone is doing something with you, so now I try to give the other person the benefit of doubt.
1:18:41Like if somebody is behaving funny with me, if somebody is saying something to me, I always think, why is he talking about what he is talking about? Why is he being mean to me? And let me be the bigger person, let me not get into this trap and be as toxic as this man is. so now I'm very chill in life and very relaxed because my husband has given me that there was no hope so I feel like no, you're yourself and you're doing whatever you want to do I don't know I don't know how many films are doing you're doing what you're doing in social media I don't know how much I'm doing I'm very happy I'm being stoic I feel like I'm doing a good job I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know I don't know When you were like, you are rejected, not good enough, powerless, helpless.
1:19:35How did your attitude come to your mom? Did they also feel like our son is a hero? No, no, no. They also felt like it was worse. Nothing was worse. And how was the love towards you as a kid? That he was always available to me, sometimes he wasn't. hotte thai, kabhi bhaat pyaar, kabhi bhaat gussa, kabhi extremes hodata tha that he always ki nahi nahi koj baat. Nahi nahi. Aise toh kabhi nahi hoa hai ki bitta koji baat nahi, there's another day and all. Supportive, wo wala supportive niya. Support bhaat alag tariqeise karthate hai aapke desi parents, especially in a middle class family, they support you in a very different way.
1:20:13Like no matter what happens, if I fail, if I succeed, if I top, if I don't score well,
1:20:23and Sunday will make a mutton in the house which will make a papa, no matter what happens so a sense of belongingness comes from there, something happens, a family is four people, they will be together so they told me that okay, ups and downs will be but don't forget the family we are also with you, do something do something, but try do something better do you have that itch to do something which is probably not acceptable by society or by parents or something. Chup ke kuch kaat. Chup ke nai karta, mein karta hoon toho khullnay mein karta hoon phir, yaar. Chup ke ka me nai kuch kia hi nai karta hoon.
1:20:58Daise? Yaar, my father is extremely against the idea ke mein gari chala raha hoon. Or, mujhe bhoht shock ya mein gari leke nikal jata hoon highways pe, long drive se or speeding ka bhoht shock ya mujhe. Unko, yaar, yeh, sammat kia karenna, tu kuyo karata hai? But I love that. I love the thrill of it. I do it now I do it now I did it 3 days before on the ceiling on the ceiling I do it I go out the car taking the car I go out the car 5 series I just I'm alone I think I once went to Lonavala I'm a place I forgot my name I'm alone I'm alone on the birthday alone alone I'm alone I don't even know why just like this it was just like no I just know everybody was busy my friends were caught up and they said I don't do it tomorrow on the 19th April is my birthday I left on 18th.
1:21:47Let's go, what will happen? I'll take the car. So, I like to drive 2-5 hours, 3 hours? I love it. I love my company, bro. I love being alone. I love being with myself. But just while driving, overall? Overall also, I enjoy being. I enjoy my company the most. That is so good. But I really enjoy it. Why do you like yourself more than other people? like spending time with yourself more than other people how many people are actually interested to know you actually interested to know you I don't think so there are many when your friends also come they will tell about their lives, you will tell about your life and after a point a point comes where you have nothing to talk and then you are silent then you start talking about any other things on your own you start talking about TV, films but when you sit with yourself you don't have to please anybody you don't have to crack a conversation with anyone you only have yourself to deal with so I enjoy it I was like that when I came to Mumbai I was a child of 18 years I was a Narmada housing society it was a child of society it was my house on the 6th or 7th floor and there was no lift I had to go under the seats I was going to go I was a speaker and I had a phone on Samsung and I had cartoons on it, I don't know some obsession I had with cartoons, I had the age of 18 cartoons and I had to eat my food and I had to sleep in the morning I had no social life till now also I have no social life I have friends of course because of work I get to meet a lot of people and I get to go out a lot but if it's my job I'll just shoot, I'll come home and sleep or play PS or books I'll just sleep, I'll do anything more.
1:23:39Why? I enjoy that life. I'm a very boring person like that. Extremely boring. It's not boring. It's your way of living the life. And I really enjoy it. And I don't have to go out. But why should I go out? If it's not important. And do what? Nothing is about going out. I just go out for work. I don't go out. Have you dated someone? I dated when I first came in the city but after that no what the matter when did you come here came in 15 so almost 10 years yeah January 14th 2015 10 years you have dated only one person you have not dated after that yeah I have dated like couple of 2-3 relationships I mean in the beginning you feel like but it was not done it was not done it was not done after that I feel that I am not ready for it right now emotionally why I don't know, I feel like you have to work on yourself when you go to someone you don't have to lose your life you have to work on yourself because I'm so consumed with my work I'm ambitious like that so I feel that in any way transparency and you have to give yourself 100 % to the other person so if they don't do it, then don't do that just be ready for it so that it's unfair to others but relationships are very important in life at least socially so you don't feel missing at all you know sometimes when I come back home from works there are days when I'm like yeah, good, if someone's happy it's fun, it's other things 3, 4, 4 I'm at least good news share that today I'm a photo but it's like my life is so much in terms of my life that I'm afraid that if I I impose this on someone else and that's not good for him.
1:25:40Because this work that I'm doing right now requires a lot of effort man. Especially for a guy like me who's an introvert. It requires a lot of work. I constantly want to better myself as an actor. Constantly want to. I want to watch two films a day. I have to read some content, news.
1:26:25I have a same because I can relate to you so much on so many things it's just we all are like we all are like we come from a day I'm from Delhi I'm listening to someone I'm listening to someone somewhere I'm listening to someone we're all the same but same guilt feel same I don't even know one or two podcasts on another level so that I can learn something I can make my notes and I'm like I'm consumed by it it's very difficult to date a person like me what do you say what you said because for me it's the most important that I have to be better man I have to go to the world level like I wanna I wanna be the world's best it's like the game for me I'm an athlete I have to be the Olympics gold medal same same man I treat myself as an athlete I mean in the playlist why like I saw this video in the morning why every director wants to work with Leo why and it was a video I said why I also want to know why so that I also implement all that he's doing so that every director in India also wants to work I mean until I don't have that I will keep it it's simple do you read?
1:27:35I've started now a little bit you like Kobe Bryant I'll give you a book I have read it that's my book every time I'm feeling low it's a pictorial definition like it's a pictorial journey of Kobe Bryant only pictures pictures are there and a little bit in every place so like if there's so big pictures it's a little bit and any page put it and okay 2003 this happened and then in that when Kobe reacted and how did didn't get a pass at one time and his teammate didn't pass after that he was in a self-doubted depression that I felt rejected now people started because my teammate doesn't trust me enough that I can score at this moment and he talks about those kind of moments that in our life there are so little things I love that because you said Kobe Bryant I'll send you if you ever yeah yeah done it's like love is mindset mamba mentality that whole book is about mamba mentality and how he it's an incredible book is there anything else in your life a memory that you want to erase erase no nothing but why why do we want to forget why do we want to forget you didn't ask why do you want to forget why do you want to forget because you you saw you saw So you understand the bad.
1:28:56How do you know what is good for you? Because you have seen the bad. Right? So why do you want to remove the bad? Let it be. It's your past. Don't let your past define your present. Present is present. Future will come. When it comes, we will see. But I don't want to erase from past. But your past actually defines your present. It does. You are who you are because of your past. Yeah. So it's a... If I erase something from my past... And you won't be who you are. I won't be who I am today. But it's also a lot of negative things. Negative absolutely. It's life. Life is all about positives and negatives.
1:29:34It can't just be about positives. In my four good things, but there are four good things. There will be anything, I don't know. But that's my life. That's what Laksh is all about. But do you think, have you heard of this, this theory, attachment theory, of childhood, that in a child, in 0 to 5 years, like in your childhood, or in primitive years, like in your childhood, it defines how you love yourself. Absolutely, that's the right thing. So maybe, you were in an environment, where you sometimes had a lot of love, sometimes you had a lot of doubt, and then you saw a lot of problems in your house, you didn't express it, a bunch of things.
1:30:19That whole experience, that has become anxious and you are like you are more away from love than actually accepting it because probably that thing is yeah, this is something do you think it's like that? it can be like that but what happened with my life which has been broken in my life it was not in my control it was made of my own things it became your own feelings so what I have never had in my own things I have taken control over it and I will change it If something was wrong, I could say that I have erased the wrong thing. But I did not do anything. Things are happening around me. You are in that situation, in that house, in that neighborhood, it is happening around you.
1:31:09Now, why did I say that? Why did I have started there? No, I am proud of that. That's my life. That's how it was supposed to be. Were you insecure about your voice at some point? because I was reading about it that your voice was very loud. Yes, it was very loud. That's because I was too young also that time. I was 13, 14. That was loud. Then my teachers were very good. They were very good. They were very good. They worked with me with my voice, with my acting. So, they enhanced my voice. Then a voice is a voice. I do that today too. I'm doing it for four years. What? There's an exercise. There's a humming.
1:31:45You have to make this sound half from your gut. just make sure that your passage air is on the back of the head that you have to make sure that I do it today so that's a routine, that's a person that's not changed so that's a voice, but was it because if you had insecurities about your voice? I was never insecure, I was never insecure like that but someone said that your voice has a potential, a raw voice, it can better do it, so that's why people helped me a lot, good teachers got good mentors, good time people You know, men around the world now, in last few years, their body image issues and the way they sound, these issues have tripled.
1:32:31It was not so much. Now many kids are very much conscious about themselves. I'm seeing them. And they don't express it. Because they think that if they tell me that I have a problem with my body and sound, it's not masculine. So they suppress it and they keep it with themselves. Why do you think this is being big? Why do the boy have such body image issues? Comparisons? Of what? I saw this, I think something on Instagram, I saw that I was on my face and on the bottom I was writing how to get a deeper voice. Right? And someone is making a reel on it. You do this thing, you do this thing, you do this thing, you do this thing, you do it to have a deeper voice.
1:33:10So now what is happening is anybody who's watching this reel is thinking that Lakshki a lot of people are very rich. My voice is very rich. So, this voice is okay and this voice is wrong. This is not true. So, instantly somebody is feeling inferior. This is what to do. Why do you do it? Who said that my voice is perfect? My voice is good for me. Your voice is good for me. Why do you compare yourself? So, we have come to a point where we are constantly comparing each other. Why are we doing that? Why have we become like this? I don't know. what a pleasure gets people. actors do this. every place is going on my parents.
1:33:49my parents do this. I don't know how to do this.
1:33:54I don't know why I am saying that. I don't understand why I am doing this. but it is happening. you have never compared to someone? no. I have never compared to myself. because this is a thing. I have never been disappointed in my childhood. in comparison. I had a lot of relief in this thing. Why do I compare it? I would try to say my parents to say, don't do this. I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I'm telling you. I'm telling you. Why are you telling me, I'm telling you, why is it my life?
1:34:34Why do I say that, why does he have this voice or this body and why are you doing 3 films, why are you doing 4 films, why are you doing one film, it's your journey, it's your journey, it's your journey. I met somebody and the three of us were sitting on a table and my other friend asked this friend, how has the needle moved for you after BATS, one of the co-actors of BATS. She said, it has moved, it has moved quite a lot but not what I thought. I said, one second, where was BATS before? I said, here I was. Where are the bats? I said, here I am. I said, 150%. I said, is not a difference. Why is it like that?
1:35:16We need that. That's not the one. Oh, brother, that's the one that has to be before. If you haven't enjoyed it, if you haven't enjoyed it, you will not have to be the one that will not come. I'm happy to learn what happens. What happens after that? It's bigger than that. That turned out to be the biggest blessing of my life. Imagine if it happens, things are probably different in my life. So, what happens, friends, it's the problem. But sometimes you're doing something and then you're second or you're third. You're considered as a second person, the third person, the fourth person. Yeah. Does that feel bad sometimes?
1:35:55It does feel bad. I don't like to come second. I want to be number one. I generally want to be. And if somebody is number one and I'm number two, I want to understand why you number one why are you so if you have a right reason behind it and you know that he has more worked or he has more capable of this so keep it keep it that you have not done and he is more talented so you don't have bluff you don't have you don't have a little you don't have you don't have you don't have you don't have you don't have you have worked but sometimes I do someone else beats you because you know I feel last which comes, it doesn't matter.
1:36:37Because it knows that it's never short. The second comes, it's worst, it's lost from last. Because it knows that I was so close to me, but it will remain so much. I could have been first. But it will remain so much. So, and then every time you do, let's say, a show and someone's being more appreciated than you and you're called second. Let's say you're doing a movie and you've done the whole job. But no other credit or life is more than it. Or money or whatever, any situation. And in some metric, you second. Maybe in the metric of the metric of the fame, the metric of the appreciation. So, it will be great because you have done a lot.
1:37:23What do you feel then? If someone else gets more. Yeah, yeah. See, I feel that, time before and more than the struggle, I never get to. So, what I get is my truth. Of course, brother, I don't not a Zen person, I always live Zen, I always live in work and I'm like no, it's okay, it's fine. Life is fair. It is not fair. Life is not supposed to be fair. But you have to constantly remind yourself that these are just noises. What can happen? Like, if someone or give me more money, there's no end of life. There's more to it. There's kill, then bads, then some other film will come, something else will come, so these things will keep going.
1:38:11This is not going to end ever. So when things are not going to, I mean, there's no end of it. I'm number one, like even today Mr. Khan is number one, Shahrukh Khan is number one, but he's constantly working hard, right? So this is never going to end. So don't be angry at these things, So don't worry that you are number two or what you said before, I was last. I was failing at school in 11th or 12th. We were 3-4 girls who were failing at all but we were marginally passed. Like grace passed. So I think that what our life has been, I think why is it more. That won't be fair I think. So I want to give a little bit love to myself and respect to myself.
1:38:52Like you have done decent in your life and you have reached far. so appreciate that and what you don't get you don't get it you can't get it nobody can steal it from you can I be honest I don't think you believe this why I think you believe absolutely that it's mine and I won't get it I'll take it yes I'll take it but that's it nobody can steal it for me I'll take it for me and I'll take it and I'll have to just be a little humble because probably people will take it in a different way I'll take it if I'll take it if I can't if I can't but if I can't do first but I don't think you're zen about it I'm not zen about it at all like I that's why I will work probably extra hard to reach there I'll make sure that I'm acting better in all my films so that I get that because I'm obsessed with it.
1:39:55And that's the only way to go about it. Define stardom for you. What's stardom? That's Mr. Khan for me. Shah Rukh Khan is star for me. Explain. Stardom for me is when you aspire people to become big. When people want to look like you, when people want to wear the same clothes like you, when people want to have the same hairstyle as yours, that is to an extent I feel that people that's now gone, now people don't do it because now everyone is aware, now social media is now, now everyone is one of their style now stardom has been very different
1:40:35stardom stardom stardom stardom has been very different you're trying to become a star in your head you are probably and one day it will become what is that idea, idea of stardom what is it? idea of stardom is to just to what you're doing because I have hung out with the biggest stars Ram Charan, Shah Rukh sir a lot of them because bads pe 'e karm kia ta, toh bhot loog se milnne ka moka milta tha, Amir Kisar ke saat to yar, koji stardom ko chase nih kar raha hota hai, har koji achchi filme chase kar raha hai, har koji achcha kama chase kar raha hai star apko loog bnatate hai, dunia bnatate hai yar, yeh hai star yeh humara star hai, aisa banna hai yaa, aisa kuch karna hai life I can't become star.
1:41:22People make you. Or sometimes people make you. I feel like you make it. No. When you go to the side and go to the side, you can see it. And when you come to the side, you can give it. You can make people. You can only give it to your acting, your films. Just be kind to it. Just be grateful for it. The rest of the star-lidham, there is no formula. But why are some people able to? Forget some people. why is Mr. Khan Mr. Khan and douserے لوگ itne vade star new in paren yara uska formula to bhai kisi ke baas nai hi what do you think i think it's it's the self belief yara it's the self belief patience hard work baha sari chizho ka misran hai combination hai and there's no secret formula to it because when I hang out with him he's always working like we shot that scene humara speech ka scene tha unka ek intro tha pura doh page ka scene go yad kar lete hai pardke usi shiddat se perform karte hai usi mehnat se kama So, he wants to change his partner.
1:42:23He's going to be the same thing. In spite of being the biggest star of the world right now, of India. Of course. So, if he's doing the same thing over and over again, so, you do that too. You will become a star. And how's his son? Oh, he's a brother. I'm talking about him. What? He's making a big deal. He's chilling right now. But he's happy. I get a lot of people who look like, me so like why
1:43:12was the zeal, that aggression, that jazaba, passion. He is, he is the son of King Khan. You can't deny it. Just can't deny it. Is there something special about him? A lot of people talk good things about him. Because you worked. Yeah. As a director, debut. Special, there's a conviction about him. Yesterday, I and Manoj Pawa, we were talking about. So imagine a guy, a man like Manoj Pawa, who was a legend. And a guy like me, who has just started off his career and movies. We both say the same we have a conviction. It's not happening in our people. Filmmakers and directors there's one film hit and we're going to copy and we're going to make it.
1:43:56It's a template that if you make a film you'll make it. Now cut to a girl who says, I'll make a show which people will say what you've made but I'll make it. And when we read the scenes we were like, how will we do this? He's killing the girl and the girl talking about this he made it. Didn't you think that what was going on today's message? What happened? He was convinced. He convinced all of us. That conviction is a very big thing. And that conviction doesn't come like that he's the son of Shah Rukh Khan. He's the belief in this story. That I have to say this I have to say this. He had a voice that was very short with his voice.
1:44:38And especially like imagine the kind of journey that of course he's been through a lot. He could have done anything with his life. Yeah. Okay, he makes a show that a serious show comes to a grim show has shown 있다 and an intensity or aggression shows. That takes balls. Yeah. He makes a lot of effort and a lot of strength. He has gotoption
1:45:12He has left his own you have laughed a lot. Laugh is a very difficult thing. You can play. You can study someone in love. You can cry. But you can laugh a lot. He does stand up. But as a show, to make you laugh as a director, what he has done is commendable. And make it entertaining throughout. Till the last episode. It does take that. And his comedy is so much witty. He's so much witty. he's so nice and nice he's very nice he's like a proper he's a boy's boy time passed full full he's very animated he's very nice and with his heart it seems like from the outside when you see it from the public appearances he's the justification and he's the right whatever he wants animated versus that he's seen proper scenes and he was watching us sometimes.
1:46:14He will play the girls part also. Sometimes, in Masti Mazaak. When we were in the scene shooting before that and all the Manav, Bilal, who were the writers, they were previously shooting. So Masti, and he's a damn good actor. He's a very good actor. Aryan. So, he's a lot of wit. He's the punchlines. All the things you've seen in the show, he's written. Improvisation was 10-20 % but most of it was written by him and the writers. Nice. So, that's his beauty. And you're a co-actor because you're talking about wit. Raghav. How are you and Raghav? Close, man. We're a lot of good friends. Maybe the first time it became that Raghav and you're co-actors became friends.
1:46:54I didn't know. I think same night, our first night was in Amritsar. We said we didn't talk about it. Because he was playing and he was playing and he was playing. Same night only we went out to eat. Our producer didn't know that we're not supposed to talk. One director told us that you don't talk about it. But the producer didn't know. So I said, let's go. We eat some tickets. We go to eat some tickets. Same night we hung out. And then he was rehearsing a scene which was the morning morning. I was on the scene. Three-four people were sitting. Then he did it, did it, did it. Then he became friends.
1:47:24Then I realized that this scene is not a scene. His expression is different. His presentation is different. But deep down he's the same guy. So common grounds are very common. I love him. Because I love him from the point of I dance India dance to dance to dance to dance to dance to dance to dance I'm sure India will be a lot of kids and I was one of them and from seeing him from that to to where he has reached now to kill it was really shocking after that everybody started thinking like I never saw you so for me it was like oh there's a good actor in kill right I knew Raghav I knew I was like He's acting slow-mo.
1:48:12He's acting. Acting and action. And you look like a hero, right? He was proper a villain, he was a villain. And he shocked. And I was so impressed as an audience. I don't have any critic or anything. I enjoyed it as an audience. The whole movie, I don't think in a long time, I watched a movie in OTT. And I watched Kill Puri I saw it once again because it was so gripping that up, up, up, up, up. And I was like, now I'm going to say, I'm not going to say anything. He's killing it. He's killing it. It was a good one. I loved it. I really enjoyed that. Yeah. But I learned a lot from that guy. What did I learn?
1:48:53Don't seriously say it. It's okay to make fun of yourself. I learned it. I mean, I was a proper actor-actor at that time. I said, no, because it's the first film. Two films have been closed. Everything should land, Laksh. If anything goes left or right, maybe it will go out. After a while, there's a chance to get everything in it. Then comes a guy who doesn't have a difference, he's going to go and go and go and go and go, I'm like, what a guy is going to do? Then when I got to know him as a friend, I realized that this is the right approach. Don't take it so seriously. Because ultimately it will happen.
1:49:29Then my friends are hard to learn, then I'm learning, then they know me, and then we don't do it.
1:49:42do you go out do you go out in general with people because you said you don't go to the house no no we all get to the house we get to the house like last night Mona was there who played my mother in the show so we got to get there so when we go out
1:50:08do you enjoy going out no no no no I have to sit at home on the couch I will play a PS what do you play I am playing this game called Ghost of Yoda no idea it's a pretty cool game you my brother would know he plays a lot of games he is like you alone it's a good escape he will play in his own he will do it then he will come back It's very immersive, our games. It's very immersive. You keep on the stages. It's like a story, you're living in life. It's made of itself. You tell me a very fascinating thing I noticed. Okay, this probably can be a last and interesting question. From the beginning of the year, I saw a few layers in your, that in a few places in the starting point, that I was an introvert, was good enough, so I started working hard with my work, I had better friends, I dropped my last name from my name, then I had to change my inferiority, I had to change my helpless feeling, so I had to change my vote, then I had to change my I had to change myself to myself.
1:51:29Why can't be a movie star? Then I was serious about how I'm going to get this. Like her time. Have you ever felt that you have some sort of responsibility in your head to manage an impression?
1:51:48Like you want to be the self-author of your story and narrative. You have to do impression management. Like you don't want to give any social identity for you, you want to give it. And that's why with every phase you probably want to change the thing that hurt you the most. See I'm in a very, I'm in a transition phase right now in my life I feel. And since I came to the city at a very young age, I didn't show anyone's life in my life. that someone says, brother, do this, do this. So, whoever you learn, you have taught yourself, people have taught yourself. So, like, the name of the name of the name of the name is a good name.
1:52:33It's a good name. Something happened to someone, impulsively felt like, no, this is not a sign. Let's go. Okay, I changed it. Now, we're going to grow. Then, something else was going to happen. Then, something else was going to happen. So, whatever I've done in my life right now, it's something that, everything is self-taught. Or, either I've learned from people, and I've imbibed. I've said,
1:52:52looking at what is working and what is not that's how I've learned life that's how I've figured out life when I see actors on sets I learn what to do and what not to do so now when I look back and I ask myself a question that okay but who are you? what are you made of? I only have this answer that I am I am still trying to figure it out I am 29 right now I'll be 30 next year and every last year I was a different person like when Kill came out I was a very different man now bads now I came so I was very different I was very different so every year every project every every person comes and goes you leave something in your own and you take something and you take something so I'm in a whole time in a relationship in a whole time when you're changing something about you something about you something about you something about you something about you and be open to that that's the exciting part about life so we all are authors of our own stories I feel we all are writing our own stories are you confident about yourself the way a time per early interviews of Shah Rukh Khan you see I'm not here to compete I'm here to rule types are you that person?
1:54:05yeah I feel like that I feel like that but do you think you say something like that? no no I'm afraid I'm self-belief but look I have to throw it I have to throw it definitely Now that's what they said. I think that's what I resonate. Okay? They inspired me. But if I sit at my house and couch, coffee, and at 11-12, I'm here to rule, I'm not here to compete. Don't bluff, man. Don't do all the stuff. First, put your money where your mouth is. First, work. First, work. Then, do all the stuff. I can say this confidence I can believe it but it will convert in those words I don't want to do that now
1:54:59I don't think I'm ready for it right now I want to say it when I feel it thousand percent I feel it that I'm here to rule but not here to compete but let me say it when I want to say it fair but internally you believe it internally I totally believe it you follow sports little bit you like Rafael and Nadal aware of not too Roger Federer and Nadal Rafael Nadal Federer and Nadal so Federer and Nadal absolutely dominate tennis he won and no one didn't not and that time a young teenager he said he was very arrogant he asked who is the best player in the world who do you aspire to be he said myself and I will beat everyone I will beat everyone so people say you are so arrogant so arrogant who do you think of yourself you are saying legends you are calling them in the name and you are saying I will beat them and they are a good player because I will beat them I am a better player and he actually did that and then he did it in a way that he won the championship his name is Jokovic and he said it and at that time for years people called him arrogant and bad but now people see behind and say that the theory is that he was the only one who had this self-belief and he had this courage that he could speak out no one was like that the other time Dennis Flair who probably internally believes but nobody believed it in their every cell that's why they never said it and that's why they were never to beat it that's true thank you so much it was a pleasure talking to you thank you for opening up and trusting us with so many things.
1:56:48I know it would not been easy. Thank you so much for doing this, brother. My pleasure, yeah.
1:56:56Thank you. Thank you. What's up, brother? Laksh. Hi. Are you here? Yeah. How are you? Good. Good.
1:57:15Are you a watch guy? Yeah, I love watches, man. Really? Yeah. So, I think some specific do-n-doon limited edition types, are you that? I try, but I think I'll do the shock before I finish the first time. Okay. So, you've got money, the first time. The first time. And this is going from the time or is it now the recent start? It's very recent. I mean, it was shock to the car. I saw my dad before. I had Casio. I was in China, so I was in school. So, I told myself, I had two cars for you. I was big, big. I said, who was it? So, I took Rolex. I was wearing a Rolex. I was wearing a Rolex. I was wearing a Rolex.
1:57:49I was wearing a Rolex. Then I was wearing a car.
1:57:55I was wearing a car. The principal had to investigate it. Then I asked him to ask him, I said sir, I know what a car has. I took my father to the car. It was Rolex. I didn't know that it was a Rolex. The father took me from China. andorts be нуder
1:58:36and this year to share with someone who will get a chance to change something better in life. Because one conversation can change someone's life. I'll see you next time. Until then, keep figuring out.
