Over and out. Welcome to the Legally Speaking podcast, recording live from Legal Tech Talk in London. I am joined by name, title and organisation. So my name is Anna Balabina. I am the CFO and co-founder of CasePol. You absolutely are. It's a pleasure to have you on the show. So in one sentence, what is one problem you are trying to solve in the world of legal? Okay, that's an interesting one. The efficiency. That's the one.

1:20The time saving is right now the problem because there are more and more documents, more and more information to work with. And case follow is enhancing efficiency for lawyers.

1:29Anna Balabina:And who doesn't like more efficient systems and processes and technology? Okay, so what is one assumption about legal tech you think most people still get wrong? The tech can replace lawyers. Okay. Which it cannot. AI and technology are just tools that help lawyers. Okay, so they're enablers, they're not necessarily replacers. Okay. Have you been to any sessions at Legal Tech Talk or are you taking part in any sessions or are there any particularly you're interested in hearing? No, I'm most of the time just meeting lawyers and networking with them. So it's, I'm more just getting to know people and connecting and getting insights in the industry.

2:09Anna Balabina:Yeah, and you're getting yourself out there and meeting people and that's what it's all about new interesting exciting people um this year's themes are law and tech evolution and revolution access to justice purpose-driven law collaboration and smart compliance which of those speaks loudest to you right now and why i think the first one right it was about law and tech and revolution yeah that's that's the one for me okay yeah and obviously you're building on that at the moment tell us a little bit more about case pal so we're making the enterprise great ai ecosystem for legal. Basically, we're helping lawyers to summarize, draft, translate, analyze documents just within seconds within one connected ecosystem for everything.

2:49Yes.

2:50Anna Balabina:I love that. Okay. This is obviously Legal Tech Talk. What's been your biggest surprise about Legal Tech Talk 2025? How good it is. It's actually surprising for me. It's really high quality event. And there's a lot of great people and companies right here. For example, I met you. Yeah, well, that's what it's all about, right? You get to meet people and new faces and new places and spaces. I'm here for it. Okay, let's fast forward five years. Let's say we're in 2030. What do you hope will be finally fixed in law? Repetitive tasks. Organization of the documents or trying to find information manually through the things.

3:29I think that's going to be solved.

3:30Anna Balabina:That's going to be gone. Okay. And then what's been your biggest aha moment at Legal Tech Talk thus far?

3:39I think I saw much more tech companies evolving.

3:43Anna Balabina:Yeah. In comparison with recent years, I came here and I was like, the industry is actually legal tech industry is growing. Yeah. It was very hard for me. Absolutely. And I think that's a lot of people have said that, particularly those who came last year, how much bigger it is. Yes. Obviously this year as well. Okay. As someone who's obviously running an organization, why is it important to come to conferences like this specifically? I think for the purpose of meeting people and getting insights, the ones that you cannot get without talking to people. There is not everything that you can read in books or Google.

4:15So there's a lot to learn here, a lot to get to know also about the industry, what lawyers and potential customers think of, and a lot of ideas to get also for the development.

4:26Anna Balabina:Yeah, no, I'm here for that. Okay. So if people want to know more about CasePow or indeed you, where can they go to find out more? Is there a website?
