00have been changed or omitted per their request or for safety purposes. Listener discretion is advised. My name is Sarah Turney and this is Voices for Justice with a totally unscripted, off-the-cuff update about Alyssa Turney. If you guys follow me on social media, you know that I just posted that they are going to move forward with DNA testing the dough. Now, if you guys have no idea what I'm talking about, I was recently made aware of a Jane Doe that was found, and I submitted it to the Phoenix Police Department. They agreed that it met enough criteria to move forward with testing. They did a dental comparison that came back inconclusive, and it really was uncertain whether or not they were going to move forward with DNA testing, and I got the email this morning that they are.
55I'm going to try to not get extremely emotional and as much as I want to tell you everything right now I do still want to protect the exact information about this dough from my father I know that he watches and listens to every single thing that I do so I don't want to say too much but I will say that this was a community effort and I am so excited to be able to tell you all about that someday. Because truly, if it wasn't for all of you out there, if it wasn't for quote strangers caring about Alyssa, her case would not be where it is today. It would not get the attention or resources that it does.
43So thank you. It has been honestly one of the hardest years in terms of action in her case. There was a hoax earlier this year. I was reached out to someone or someone reached out to me saying that they had, you know, potential audio, maybe video of my father saying very incriminating statements that they think would have resulted in some type of action. I was strung along, you know, for a while there. They weren't demanding anything. It was a very strange situation and then all of a sudden they just deleted all their accounts and no one has been able to get in touch with them since. Following that, there was the dough that was up in the air.
32Are we going to do it? Are we not? I was recently made aware of a video of someone claiming to be a psychic medium who, how do I put this, said that they were channeling Alyssa's spirit and that she wanted to have a voice and explain in graphic detail the sexual abuse she experienced as a toddler. I have a man on my social media accounts saying that he knows Alyssa is alive and well in Connecticut, that her and I share a TikTok account, that Alyssa, you know, that I've been basically hiding it and lying this entire time, that Alyssa hates me. And the damage that came with that was this man caused Alyssa's trial to be delayed because of this information.
27During the trial, I haven't talked about this yet, during the trial it came up and it was postponed. It was postponed more than once due to internet trolls and that was extremely difficult. And when this came up, all I was told was that someone had reported that Alyssa was alive and well in Connecticut, and that I knew and was covering everything up, and that the defense was looking into it. They did go to Connecticut. They did do DNA testing on a woman there, and it was not Alyssa. But this man continues to stalk my accounts. He is asking me to post his phone number for podcasters to reach out to him.
07Needless to say, and like this happened like within a few days. All of this is happening within a few months or a few days from now. It has been the craziest 2025, I guess is what I'm trying to say, with so many things that I want to talk about. And yes, I am developing a new season about Alyssa. It is coming. Things just keep happening. That being said, I was also in the middle of planning a search for Alyssa, the first ever search for Alyssa to be conducted early next year. And of course now that is up in the air with this doe. I'm really hoping that we can bring Alyssa home. I have been trying my best to manifest it.
49But if it's not, hopefully we can bring somebody home. and if that person is not Alyssa I will move forward with that search early next year so please keep an eye out for that I will be asking for some help there which is honestly really hard for me to do outside of asking you guys to share so I am rambling like I warned you this is off the cuff it has just been like the wildest year and the wildest few days and weeks and I wanted to hop on here and say thank you. If it wasn't for all of you, I truly don't know what I would do. So thank you. I love you. And I'll talk to you next time. Josie, it's your new nanny Polly.
38The hand that rocks the cradle, a Hulu original. What do you know about her? Now streaming. You think if you try hard enough, you can stop bad things from happening but you can't good help is hard to find you need me do this a Hulu original the hand that rocks the cradle where did our now streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney Plus for bundled subscribers terms apply
