0:00Exits define the success of venture capital. They're the moments where vision, strategy, and timing collide to create immense value. Oh, the sweet DPI. This award recognizes the firms behind the exits that deliver the biggest returns, not just in size, but in strategic execution, timing, and impact on the European venture ecosystem. These exits have validated bold bets, rewarded conviction, and proven that European venture doesn't just build great companies, it delivers market-defining success stories. This year, we celebrate exits that reshaped the map. iBio by SV Health. We transfer by Highland Europe.

0:49Feature space by Highland Europe. This is what venture is all about. Tonight, we honor the exit that truly set the benchmark.

1:25say a little bit more about how they sponsored the award. Thank you so much. So actually, great to be following Joe, who just talked about the secondary. So I think now we're talking about the real thing. So the real thing that is driving all of us. At ACE, we support the fund infrastructure as a specialized service partner, tech-driven, doing anything around fund operations, compliance, regulatory, and also tax compliance. So We are doing this for venture. We are doing this for private equity, mostly in Germany now, but also expanding into other markets. Now, what is driving our customers is obviously the exit.

2:05So exit, not only secondaries, but primaries, primary exits. How do we do that? We support the market through supporting the fund managers. And the fund managers, how do they do the exits? Very simple. It's not an easy task. It takes a lot of craftsmanship. It takes the right timing. And with the right timing, you probably get there. Now, currently, we see many of our customers here in the room. So we're happy to see many of you here around. So in the future, hopefully seeing more and more exits. So today, we are proud to support the Exit of the Year Award. I think with exits, we are supporting the outcome.

2:53We are supporting and celebrating, let's say, the best exit of the year. So looking forward to seeing which one it is. Great. Thanks, Martin. Well, the winner of this award, there was some hot competition again as we think about the judges. And, of course, some there from two investors in driving some fantastic outcomes. And the winner of this award goes to SV Health with the company iBio. Before you go, I just want to give a massive shout out to the partners who made the EUVC Summit and awards possible. So please do not tune out. We're partnered with these firms because they're great people with offerings that we know from our friends in the ecosystem are truly world class.

3:36First up, I want to give a big thanks to HSBC Innovation Banking. They helped us incept the awards in the very beginning. And truly, they are the leading bank for anyone in European venture. There's a reason why everyone knows them. Google Cloud, they were our venue hosted the summit. What a team, what a big effort they put on to help us. We're hugely grateful. Make sure to reach out to Arabella or Oksana at the Google Cloud team to hear how they can help you as well as your portfolio. Massive credits goes to them. Ace Alternatives. We have so many friends in the Berlin ecosystem partnered with these guys.

4:11Just the best fund ops team around. And as with any good restaurant, where the locals are is also where you get the best service. And now they're expanding across Europe. So they're definitely someone to talk to. Hainspoon. They're longtime partners of ours in both our own legal work. They're great supporters of us here at EUEC. And I definitely think that they are one of the go-to legal teams to have in your corner. CW Communications, our dear friends who helped us secure CNBC, Bloomberg, Financial Times, and many more for this summer. It's a joy working with Dan and Kathy and the team. Fundcraft, Digital Native, Full Suite, Lux Headquarter, and a great partner as you grow your firm out of Luxembourg.

4:52Definitely a fund admin to consider in your stack. I can only say that the team are incredible to work with. I'm very thankful that I've gotten to know them. I think they're one of the up and coming fund admins that you want to be thinking about. Portfolio IQ by Synaptic. You may know them for the Discover tool, which is branded on a Synaptic, but Portfolio IQ is absolutely a product you should know because there's no one that understands intelligence better than this team. And finally, Goodwin. They are a truly world-class legal partner you can trust. They're hands-on, business-oriented, an expert in everything and anything transatlantic.

5:28So those were our partners for the summit and awards. I know this might've been a bit long and boring, but really, if you have these guys on your side, I don't think your firm could be in any better hands. And also they're helping us do what we're doing every day for you.

From the publisher

At this year’s EUVC Summit Awards, the “Exit of the Year” category drew intense debate—and for good reason.
Europe is finally entering its outcome era, and this year brought no shortage of competitive contenders.

But one exit stood out.

Winner: SV Health Investors, for the exit of EyeBio

As the host reminded us, this award isn’t just about a number on a term sheet:

“With exits, we’re celebrating outcomes. Outcomes that validate years of work, conviction, and follow-through.”

For SV Health, this exit marked a textbook example of deep science meets disciplined execution.
It wasn’t a flash-in-the-pan. It was a story of patient capital, strategic support, and a global-scale outcome born in Europe.

  • A breakthrough healthtech company delivering real-world impact

  • An outcome that unlocked returns and credibility

  • A case study in what’s possible when bio meets business in the right way

In a space where timelines are long and conviction is everything, SV Health and EyeBio proved what Europe is capable of when the pieces align.

“Hopefully, we’ll be seeing more and more exits like this in the years ahead.”

We agree. Because one great exit isn’t just a win for the team—it’s a signal to the ecosystem.
It tells LPs, policymakers, founders, and future fund managers: we can build here, and we can win here.

Congratulations to SV Health Investors and the entire EyeBio team.

Let’s keep building toward the next one.
