In short
The episode argues that India’s football underperforms at the FIFA World Cup due to systemic corruption and mismanagement, not lack of talent. It also discusses “birthplace effect” (football talent clustering in specific regions), the role of infrastructure (dedicated football stadiums/grounds), and how the Indian football ecosystem (AIFF/AFF, ISL, club ownership, academies, and selection pathways) discourages merit and long-term player development. The host also contrasts football with cricket/hockey, claiming cricket’s money and structure have produced more consistent international results.
Guest backgrounds
Ranjit Bajaj is the speaker/guest. He presents himself as deeply involved in cricket administration and coaching/management (including work connected to ICC events and managing roles), and as a football academy operator/insider with long-term youth development experience. He cites personal connections to elite athletes and coaches (e.g., Igor Stimac) and claims his academy has produced many internationals across age groups.
Key claims
- India lacks dedicated football infrastructure; the host claims India previously had “zero” football stadiums dedicated only to football.
- Merit is not counted; selection is influenced by nepotism/power and money (bribes/fees to enter district/state/national pathways).
- ISL and federation-commercial arrangements distort incentives: private control of national-team rights and “buying clubs” prioritize short-term trophies over youth academies.
- Clubs with academies shut down when ISL-era ROI favors quick signings.
- Betting/match-fixing is widespread in state leagues, with no meaningful jail consequences historically.
Notable examples
- “Birthplace effect” explanation: football talent concentrated in a few sub-regions (e.g., Malpur/Husharpur area; Calcutta/Mumbai; Manipur; Mizoram; Meghalaya; Kerala; Goa).
- Saudi Arabia’s World Cup qualification strategy tied to high-profile league spending (Ronaldo) and timing around the Asian Cup.
- Odisha hockey revival via turf/stadium investment; claims of many turfs and a large share of national players coming from tribal regions.
- The host’s personal anecdote about youth/academy players being blocked by club priorities around AFC/Asian Cup windows.
- Claims that Delhi state leagues show betting-related comments and that fixing includes manipulating referees and even “own goals.”

Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:00How the heck a country with 1.4 billion people does not have 11 good players who can represent in a FIFA World Cup? When will we get to the World Cup? When you stop asking this question after every four years and you ask this question every single day, then we'll get to the World Cup. Our Messi and Ronaldo died. Our system is busy killing all the talent we have.
0:23What are we doing wrong? How many football stadiums do we have in the country? I don't know. How many? Zero. Now when you have zero stadiums dedicated for football, then how are you going to get there? In the system there is a problem. Unless you have professionals running the sport and you do not have people who are elected either because of nepotism or because of power, you will never do well in sports. Give me the obstacle which system creates. Merit is not counted. What else is left? How much money you have in the house? How much money you can give you? Or how much money you can give you? What is one advice nobody should follow?
1:01Play it safe. Never play it safe. You are in your comfort zone. You're never going to grow. You're never going to achieve anything. By playing it safe, no one has become a world champion. You don't play it safe. You take risks. There's only one life.
1:15I truly believe we are limited by our belief in ourselves. All of us. No matter who you are, man. I believe success is a choice. Why? Is discipline a choice? Yeah. Whose choice? Our choice. Is effort a choice? Yes. It's hard work a choice. Yes. Success is a choice, man. But you have to just work. No one can fucking throw.
1:37In India, we all try to hide our cracks. And we try to hide our weaknesses. They are your biggest achievements. Kintsugai is a Japanese term. So when a bowl or something breaks, they don't throw it away in Japan. They fill it up with gold. So they actually highlight it because they think a broken thing which is made again whole is more valuable. You should be celebrating your cracks. telling the whole world what you've been through. Your scars should be your bone with pride.
2:07Tell me how to kill fear. Suppose I make you stand on the edge of a hundred-story building. This is death. I mean, I'll die from here and I'll die. But if I force you and I make you stand like that every day for one hour for 100 days, on the 100th day, will you feel the same amount of fear? No. You know that. So that means you can get over the fear of death. So what does it mean? Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain. What does it cost rupee by rupee to take a child from a village in India and prepare them for Olympics level or World Cup level to make them win a medal?
2:58House shifting in itself is already a big task, but shifting to a new city is even more difficult. You want to be sure that when you reach the new city, not just your bags, but your furniture and all your household items also reach on time. So you can settle in without any problem. But trusting someone to move all your stuff to another city feels risky. That's why porter, Packers and Movers offer services both within the city and from one city to another across seven cities. Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. And you also get flexibility. You can pick a part truck load which is a shared truck or a full truck load which is a dedicated one.
3:41So you stay in full control of your house shifting at affordable prices. With Porter, you can plan your move without any worries. To know more about our title sponsor Porter and their services, check the link in the description.
3:59How the heck country with 1.4 billion people does not have 11 good players who can represent in a FIFA World Cup? Policy, policy, big policy. What does that mean? 1.4 billion, 1.4 billion. See, if you go to Somalia and say how does a country of 200 million, whatever, and you don't even have one nuclear scientist. The person will say, I don't have nuclear energy, what will I do? Produce by nuclear scientist. So, there's a guy called Richard Horde, who's a coach. He's done the study. Something was the birthplace effect. Now, there's another guy called Igor Stimak. He came third in the World Cup.
4:43He was a coach of the Indian national team. He's a great friend of mine. So, I was sitting with him one day and I was trying to show off to him. I said, I am from Chandigarh. I am from Chandigarh. Two Olympic gold medalists from my college. I used to be in DV college. I said, Abhinav Bindra and Nino Chopra. Both of them are in DV college. And my God, I'm going to be a sporting city. So he says, you know, Croatia. He says, yeah. He says, you know the capital. I said, yeah. So he says, the capital has around, what? 100 ,000, 200 ,000 people. And just in my neighborhood, my neighborhood is there around 14 ,000 people.
5:17I have 28 gold medals. And I was shut up. I said, okay, bro, I don't want to say anything. What after? I was playing a lot of fun. And then I was amazed and I went online and looked at it that per capita and per number of people, they produce the maximum thing. So it cannot be jeans because they're other countries also. So the birthplace effect is that there are some places where you will produce more of a certain kind of sports person. Like for example, and that's true. For example, Haryana, you'll find a lot of wrestlers coming out. Okay. And even probably from UP, but mostly from Haryana and Punjab a little bit, but mostly from Haryana.
6:03Basketball is from some places in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and again Punjab. Now, same way, when you look at football, it had a birthplace effect that in the last 50 years, all the senior national teams have been made from 85 % of the players have come from 25 districts. We have 740 some districts. 740. 85 % of my players have come from 25 districts. Now, let me tell you the population of these districts. In Punjab, it's not Punjab. It's one place called Malpur. Husharpur, Malpur. Then in Bengal, it's not Bengal. It's just the Calcutta area. And it's Mumbai. is not Maharashtra, it's Mumbai. Okay, then it's Manipur, population of again one or two grores.
6:49Mizoram, population of 15 lakhs. Then Meghalaya, little bit. Then you go down to Kerala, again Chhota State. Then you go to Goa, again Chhota State. Total population of all these places which I have mentioned is five or seven grores. So, who are you talking about 1.4 billion? When our IS is here, why? Because see, if it happens, okay, let's go, Punjabis can play better. No, it's not Punjabis. It's only in Malpur. What about the rest of the Punjabis? How come their genes are not good? System. Somehow, the people who've been playing football all their lives, when they've moved from Pakistan to here, they settled somewhere in that belt.
7:32In that Malpur area, which is not a district, which is a sub-district of a district, there are 400 football grounds. 400. 400 Raj In that small district In not a district It is one fifth of a district 400 Now you tell me How many foot Let's just talk about How many football stadiums When you see people How come we're not getting there How many football stadiums Do we have in the country Football stadiums I'm not talking about stadiums Which are multi-purpose Which have athletic tracks around them How many World Cup games Have you seen With athletic tracks Around the stadium No none they have football stadiums how many do we have in India I don't know how many zero we had in our entire country we had zero dedicated football stadium zero dedicated football stadiums only for football we had see any place which is the ground and which has those fatas as steps as that thing is not a stadium so I don't count Kupraj even now Kupraj by the way you know Mumbai the only ground we had was Kooparaj in Mumbai they have destroyed it and made it small small because they made commercial and they put paddle and pickleball on the side so that was the only ground before that it was being used for shadis because that was the only place the shadis were happening right there but that also was not a stadium now when you have zero stadiums dedicated for football then how are you going to get there what are you guys talking about in India we have opposite reservation for sports.
9:10I mean, we give our schedule cast OVCs, tribals, we give a reservation. Why do they give it? Because we know they are the guys who have been neglected. They didn't deserve to be. They've been doing it because of the cast which is bullshit. So we need to give them more opportunities than the others because we are the ones who made them go down because of stupid biases which we had. So we give them reservation in places. What do we do in sports? Can you get a medal in the Olympics? Yes. You can get 5 crore. Oh, you can't get? Get out. So, the scheme of the top is the government. The top is the top athletes already in the top 8 in the world.
9:57They are the ones who are given the assistance and support. But they are the ones who don't require it. Because they are in the top 8 in the world, man. You think Nidhah Chopra needs your money now? Let me tell you when he needed it. He's in DV college and he was going to go for the World University Games where he won the first medal. We did a raise from the college for his ticket because Sai did not come up with the money in time for him. Then last day, one day before, they gave him the ticket. Otherwise, we had raised enough money. But suppose we had not raised money and Sai had not given it, we would have never got that gold medal.
10:33Why? Because he got that gold medal, got into the Indian team, Commonwealth gold, Asian gold and then Olympic gold. our system is busy killing all the talent we have why why because Dhoni was a goalkeeper man but if he had a football ground next to him he would have been a goalkeeper and that was what he started as Leander Pais was a winger now when you have people like Leander Pais okay Dhoni maybe from a poor family Leander Pais' dad was Dr. Vespais very big Olympian all the resources but he did not let his son get into football even though he's in hockey. Why? Because his son he didn't want the same biases to trouble him.
11:15He wanted him to get into an individual game where no one can trouble you. So if you ask me today that if I had a daughter would you put him in football? No. Never. Son, yes because I am I want to make him hard ass. Okay. But the daughter never because I will and that's why people say why don't you have a girls academy? by the way the girls will reach the world cup faster than the boys I guarantee it why because they have no one is touching them and AFF is not supporting them the moment how is that a good thing then that's a great thing because the moment they start supporting you've seen what happens to the men's team I'll give you an example see here the commercialism has come before the game has been successful what do you mean by that that means the national team is not the first priority I'll give you an example Now, Saudi Arabia got Ronaldo there.
12:10They got Ronaldo there because they wanted to lift the thing of their league. And because he was there, they'll get other good players. Saudi Arabians will get better. And the only way to qualify for the World Cup, by the way, is through the Asian Cup. And you have to be in the top four and you qualify. And now in the top eight and you qualify. But top four. So, top four, what did they do? Saudi League was going on. You know Ronaldo's salary is the highest in the world in football. then you have at least 10 other players who are earning somewhere in the same region because the amount of money they are spending they put the league off for one month go on holiday we'll still pay you salary why Asian Cup is coming why Saudi has to qualify for the World Cup and what did India do we sent our boys to play for that match for the Asian Cup one day before the thing started four boys arrived after the first match why because the club said we don't want to let them go the club said that right now we went to the unity cup two weeks ago the ISL club two weeks ago we went to the unity cup and this is the highest ranked country we played probably in the last 20 years Jamaica we played a match they were 34 we were 140 our main seven boys last minute the club called them up and said do not board the flight because AFF has refused to give us any assurances that what happens if you get injured who will pay us when your country is not the number one of thing in your mind how will your country get to the world cup what are you talking about when they keep on asking now when will you get to the world cup when you stop asking this question after every 4 years and you ask this question every single day then we'll get to the world cup because this question is being asked once every 4 years once every 4 years simple as that but systematically explain me okay like from the beginning like why isn't India in the world cup right now playing.
14:07System like what are we doing wrong from the talent development from scouting to AIFF to all the politics to all the stuff that you just explained to me right now. So we have a legacy which has been going on from the British times. First of all there is a policy again which I'm going to go a little bit off topic to go again why we Indians can't have not been able to do well in sports international sports or any other area till around 10 years ago. Cricket, we are killing it. 10 years ago. Okay. So, I'm saying 83 World Cup. Uske baad, agla World Cup? 11. Toh, tukka lagya tha na, that was time pe.
14:45Be honest, tukka laga tha ho. So, that's the whole thing. Tukka laga tha bhai. You didn't expect, nobody expected to win it and beating West Indies and it was tukka laga tha. And that's what the power of the beautiful game is. But you can't say tukka laga. The team must have prepared themselves very well and they won. Okay, so, you were not in that generation. I was not in it. But that movie 83, That explains it very well. What was our ranking in that tournament? What did we do in the last World Cup? What was our structure then? It was just a fluke, bro. Okay. Okay, why? System-wise, makes sense.
15:19But the players, they gave it all, so that's why it was not a fluke from their point. I'll tell you. So, for example, the Football World Cup. The first one, and this Uruguay won one or two of them, the first ones. And they've still not won any because there were only 12 teams participating. how many teams were participating when India played and how many teams are playing now and out of those teams how many teams were actually good they were actually a fight there was only West Indies and England even Australia and three there were three people so when you have a bad day and some people have bad tournaments you can so I am not dissing them at all okay there is not an systematically what I am saying is that your process see I will tell you results are the outcome of your processes.
16:07Results come on the final day. Like Usain Bolt says that this 9.58 second which I got, is because of the 8 years or 12 years I put in. You just see the 9.9. Same, if the processes are good, your results will have to be consistent. Because we did not win a World Cup from 83 to 2011, it was a tough. Okay. And Abhinah Bindra was like, that was a tough, this was an anomaly. because Abhinav Vindara was in spite and despite her system. He's very, very close to me and because of his father, he was able to get the facilities and he trained crazy. And if he had left it to Sai or Government of India, and you can ask him that openly, he would have never been a gold medalist because they did everything in their power to screw it up.
16:52But after he won it, they want to give him, like for example, he gave him a crore. He gave him a deal of 12 crores. You think he gives a damn about your 1 crore? If the same chief minister had given that as a Vaibhav Suryavanshi fund for all under 12 cricketers, they would have produced 10 other Vaibhav Suryavanshi. So let me talk about it in cricket sense, so the cricket fans will understand. So what is better, to get 10 more or to give Vaibhav one more which he will not care about because he's got 12 just from a bad deal and he'll make thousands by the end of his career. So we give support at the wrong time.
17:23Once you made it. Once I'm... You say that in football, I don't go to Asian Games here and there. Why do you not get the top 8 in the world? Top 8 in the world? That means I am Germany or Spain or France or Netherlands or Brazil or Argentina. I mean, if I am that, then I don't need your money. I will fund your entire body sports ministry if I am in top 8 in the world. But if you don't fund me now, I will never get to the top 8 in the world. Simple as that. And that's for every sport. Every sports person is not supported at the right time. now like you were saying so our legacy 50 ,000 goros have been able to have been able to have been able to have been able to why did it we were 5 crore 10 crore 25 30 40 crore population why did it because they ingrained it in us Indians and dogs not allowed they made us believe that somehow we are not equal to them from you know we going down when they were walking white sobs and all that stuff.
18:29So we were never on the same pedestal. We can't sit in the same place. Always made to feel that we are inferior to them in some way or other. That carried on. Now, after independence, our grandparents were brought up with the same thing. So they never even thought of trying to be the best in the world. Then came our parents' generation who were brought up by our grandparents. They also never thought they were brought up by our grandparents. They were brought up by our grandparents to keep up with their eyes. then came my generation which is the third one and yours is the fourth one so my generation had an indirect link because my grandparents and parents still brought us up your generation has no fucking link to this past yeah you think you can follow everybody absolutely yes you can be number one in the world and that is your only aim that is your only aim you have to be number one in the world not India world yeah that is why we are number four in the world that is why when the British came to us our GDP was 25 % of the world they're saying developed my god when they left we were 3 % and when they came in UK was 4 % and when they left they were 30 % so the whole point of this was a legacy we were carrying so when Mohan Bagan beat this East Yorkshire regiment 100 years ago it was the biggest thing why?
19:57because that played a role in Indian mind's psyche the moment you beat Goras you think oh bloody hell they bleed Neera Chopra if there are now 10 years before even me we just walking down the street and I have in my hand I have a spear they gave me the police they gave me what are you doing now it's known as javelin there are 10 Indians who throw above 80 meters because one Neeraj Chopra did it. You require one to make everyone believe. Our Indians have to say that someone will show us and then we will see how we read. Our people will show us. Our flesh. Because we always say that our flesh is a problem.
20:37Our genes are a problem. Guruvinder Singh has done in 10.9 seconds. He said what the first thing is. He said I want to tell the whole world that our genes, Indian genes can run fast. So not only can we do it, we are limited. I truly believe. We are limited in our belief in ourselves. if we believe whatever we believe we can do whatever your mind can believe it can achieve this is not just bullshit it's actually true if it wasn't true it wouldn't be made into these sayings now when you say whatever you do it's not just about believing it it's also working your ass off for it and you are see all these boundaries which you've created is not your boundaries society's boundaries and that you will do because till the time you actually give a rat sass what people think about you you will never grow why?
21:24because suppose you are a chore to impress you I have to do things what a chore likes yeah simple yeah if you want to be a politician then you have to do that okay you have to be diplomatic but the moment you try to compete forget the best in the world yeah the moment you try to compete with your best in your class you give up oh yeah you're a lot of people yeah you're best in the country best in the state, best in the world, you will lose every single time. Every single time, no matter who you are, you will lose. If you compete with yourself every single day, you will win and you'll beat that guy.
22:03I'll give you an example why, because who do you know the best in life? Yes, sir. And who can't you lie to? And who's the easiest person to beat then? So, sir, I want to be the fastest man in the world. Okay. So, who is now? Usain Bolt, sir. What timing is it? 9.58. Okay, bro. What's your time? Sir, 11 seconds. Very good. So, what will you beat tomorrow? 9.58 or 11? 11. And make it 10.99, 10.98, 10.97, 10.96. If you're better than yesterday every single day, one day you'll beat Usain Bolt. So, even if you want to be world champion, your competition is you. And the moment you try to compete with the best you will lose you compete with yourself is the easiest person to beat and that starts with not giving a rat sass what people think about you because your competition is you the only person should care about who anybody thinks of is you what you think of yourself because when you look at yourself in the mirror you can't lie fair but tell me when we were talking about systematically how you said we don't believe no that is the mental part now comes the system part Like I just told you, if we had no ground on Dhani, then we would die.
23:25You think our Messi and Ronaldo died? He said, we don't have it. We would ask first, where will the next Tendulkar come from? Remember that. Then Dhani came, then we would ask Dhani, where will the next Dhani come from? Now, no one is asking where will the next Virat Koli come from. I know. I know, it's 50. Okay? Why? Because every district in India has a super swapper this is what water does but 2 crores so our districts our grassroots is so great in cricket right now I can make a T20 team a test team and a one day team which will all be world champions and I can make another T20 team which will beat the first T20 team because I will open with Jaiswal and Behve Suryvanshi and Shubman Gill imagine you these people have dropped we play Jaiswal we play Jaiswal we play Jaiswal imagine I don't know what is it in the rice country.
24:20Just imagine. Because you have talent. Yeah. Why? Talent. It wasn't before. It wasn't before. It wasn't before. Where did it get? Grassroot system. Because we have investment. But explain from, let's say, post-independence. Okay. 1947. And same thing with hockey. Talk about the same independence. Trajectory of football and hockey. But in 1947, let's say, let's compare football and cricket. And if you want to bring hockey, Okay. So post-independence, Britishers are our way. Britishers have ruled. Now they've left, right? They've given us football. They've given us cricket. Both are English games.
24:59Hockey. Right. And they've given us hockey as well. Okay. So they've given this. They've made boards. Football is also a board. They give us all the games. So I thought football is also a board. Cricket is also a board. Yet today cricket is where it is. Football is not. They both are not our games. Forget about that time, bro. 2010 AIFF had 40 crores in his account and BCC had 40 crores in his account is it true? yep no BCC were much richer before IPL started even before IPL they were they were making minting money they were like hundreds of crores were there just jersey no this is when that guy came in Dalmia came in that's where the money started coming in before that Masquehannes Matthew Masquehannes whatever his name was Transworld International the guy who had got Tindurka for the 100 crore deal and he died later.
25:52So he's the guy who brought in sponsorship and matches and all that. Before that, what was it? That Dur Darshan had a right for every match by default because it was national importance. Every match was live for free. You could not sell it. It was only started being sold from the Sharjah series in 90s and 95, 96, 97. and until then that same thing was going to be in cricket so there was not much difference in football and cricket even till the I'm talking about the board the power and money till the 2005-06 maybe I'm wrong 2010 see this is a fact which I've read so it's very true in 2005-06 it was almost the same I'm talking about the money part okay let's believe what you're saying so I'm talking about now let's go back to what you said in 19 for independence were we very ever good in football yes were we in 1960 we were Asian Games champion we beat Korea in the final where is Korea right now okay let's give another example 1964 Olympics we came fourth in football yeah that I read in 1962 we were Asian Games gold medalist 70s the last time we were actually good we lost to France a very close match 1-0 in Paris.
27:15And then what happened? I'm telling you. Let's now go to hockey. In hockey, we were gold medalists, gold medalists nine times straight. Pakistan's same gold medalists. They were doing very well. Downfall started in 80s. When from sports being a skill-based game, turned into a sports science and athlete-based game. That's what came in. And we Indians were left far back. Now for example, what was in hockey? in hockey till the 90s and even probably 2000s, I could count the number of turfs on my hand. Now, and the entire game used to play on turfs. And that change happened in 80s. We didn't have any money.
27:58So that was never putting turfs, there was never a priority. And that is why the downfall happened. Not only for us, for Pakistan as well. Why is Pakistan still there? because they still don't have TERFs we have over 4000 TERFs in the country right now 4000 800 TERFs are in Udissa so let me tell you about one state how they changed this is the this needs to be known as a Bimaru state so everyone Bimaru state was named there were 5-6 states Bimaru basically was a full form of something that they were not economically well so Bihar was one of them and then Udissa was one of them so this chief minister said okay I'm going to take it on myself to bring back hockey.
28:39So he made stadiums. He had the Hockey World League. He hosted two World Cups. And he made, when his time, over 200, 300 turfs all over. Every district had a turf. So every kid in every district used to go and play. 50 % of the Indian hockey team is now made by tribals from Jharkhand and Odisha and the women. 50 % because of that one man. One man's, so how much was their budget? When India's sport budget was 1500 crores Odisha's sport budget was 1300 crores Odisha imagine that when we had entire budget and then they had the great officer called Vinil Krishna who was part of it now he's inside and they if you go to see the facilities they created in Odisha I have never seen better facilities in the world even now I am saying that openly because all our Olympic athletes used to go and train there now on the other side and then when you have all these facilities we will start doing you name one sport let me give you an example in hockey hockey may which are the countries which do well in hockey let's talk about Europe Spain and you have England you have Germany you have Italy and France and then in Asia which are the ones Korea Japan Australia in South America They play all football and they go to football.
30:11But in hockey we can beat Holland. We can kick their ass. In Spain we can do that. Why do they play Spanish hockey? What do they think? They play the most stupid people. We will play hockey. No. Sports is sports. The one who gets the same sports science. The Spain nutrition. The same kind of facilities with the belt. So how come they are, we are able to beat them? Let's talk about cricket. New Zealand, they've qualified for the World Cup in football. Is New Zealand a football country? No. Rugby or cricket. Why is it not a problem in our land? It's a problem in our land that Saprit Singh is a boy whose father was shifted from Jalandhar in early 2000s to New Zealand.
30:57And he tried to force his son to play cricket because that's the country. country. They are more sheep than people in New Zealand. But I don't have to play football. He played under 17 World Cup for New Zealand. He played under 20 World Cup for New Zealand in football, Saprit Singh. He got signed for Bayern Munich. And he's now playing for New Zealand in the World Cup. So, there's no problem in our flesh. There's proof. There's proof you have. There's a problem in the system. The system is so badly is rude that unless you have professionals running the sport and you do not have people who are elected because either because of nepotism or because of power or because of the wrong reasons you will never do well in sports in any sports so in cricket you are doing well because there is too much of money and they can't afford to get it wrong but somebody must have changed the entire politics the bat system and all that stuff in cricket also because this would have been the similar case in cricket.
32:01Yes. So it was that somebody didn't come in football. Let me tell you it was so in cricket people don't know Soladit Modi has been going very popular with his thing. So I was very deeply involved with cricket. I was the local manager. I've done seven tests and 21 days as the manager of the Indian cricket team where they used to come to Chandigarh or Moholly or wherever I used to be there and I was with the ICC I've done a stint in the Champions Trophy as the manager of Pakistan also. They put me there. Not the manager of Pakistan, put me there for the tournament which was happening in India. So I've been, and then Shubhman has played for my club since he's been 13.

32:41And with that, 11 other internationals from starting with Siddharth Khol, Gurkiratman, Manan Vora. And you name them, I'm Manpreet Goni. All these boys are, and again, Prabh Simran, Harpreet Brar, the new ones coming up, all these boys. Are Minerva boys. Yeah, Minerva. They played at least 100, 100 matches for us. and we used to play them from 14 to 20 before they made it to the senior teams. So now, when you have this kind of when you've seen from inside that what was there was something known as ICL started by ZTV before IPL. I know. This was not an idea. This was not an original idea IPL. So what did they do?
33:22Okay. They banned ICL and they banned all the players playing there. Everybody. and then because they thought they could do something else they started their own and it became a hit it was never a planned thing it was in reaction to Subhas Chandra's ICL please look it up and history will find it see the things oh my god they did the IPL no they didn't it was by mistake it happened it was because of a direct reaction to the ICL happening now what happened with the AFF now see what happened, what happened, what happened what happened, what happened, what happened What did AFM do? They gave the entire rights, commercial rights and the control of the federation and the national team to a private organization, FSDL owned by Ambani and Reliance to run the game, which is the great thing as long as it was marketing and commercial.
34:12ISL. Yeah. But the moment you give rights of the national team, that the national team will also be able to give the veto power over the federation and the federation does not own the league, then you have a big, big problem. Now, we have a very big problem also. There was no merit involved. That means if you're rich enough, that means you're able to give 18 crores a year to the private company, you're allowed to take part in the league. It's got nothing to do with your merit. Whereas all over the world, football is a merit-based game. It's the beautiful game because on any day, a poor man's team can beat you.
34:45And you may be a billionaire club. Okay, like for example, Saudi Arabia beat Argentina in the last World Cup. When Argentina went and won the World Cup? And that is the whole power that you have to have buying and selling clubs. It means that some players buy and sell. So they have to produce for selling and produce. That means they have to have good academies. In India, all the clubs are owned by billionaires. They're all buying clubs. Who's the selling club? Only me. Because I'm the only one who's in an academy and there's no money in it. So nobody's doing it. Nobody's doing it. Because your existence doesn't depend on it.
35:20But isn't it in their favor to actually nurture talent so that their club value goes up? If they look at it in a long term, they only look at it that year that we have to win that title. So instead of spending 5 crores on their youth academy for all under 13, 15, 18, they'll get a better striker for 5 crores. They might not even win it. They might be scouting as well. Because every club owner would actually think for long term value compound for their club's value. Exactly. exactly so it's not rocket science it's very simple so now what is happening is because it's all the billionaires fighting for each other the salaries of the players are through the roof it's great for me and my boys but it's through the roof that means the highest paid player in India is getting for example the topper of so parents it's like why don't we go here because we don't have money we don't have future we don't have so IIT the topper In all IITs, he got 4.3 CR as the package.
36:22Okay, that's the highest. The highest Indian paid player right now is a boy called Anwar Ali who's 22, 23 and he's getting 4.8 CR. That is equal to what a boy called Martin Lewis Kelly from Arsenal is earning, 5 CR. No disrespect to you, Anwar. But is Anwar probably as good as those boys right now? No. No, he's not. But the reason that is why no Indian will ever leave India to go and play outside. Because outside they will get one tenth the money. They will not be big huge stars. There will be nothing. Now the Japanese league is the one of the top ten leagues of the world. The Korean league is also a top ten league in the world.
37:06That means talking about the number of players money this that. None of the Korean players play in Korea. None of the Japanese players play in Japan. International players. None of them. Why? they play in Europe. And when they come back, they're that good. And we Indians don't want to get out of our comfort zone. Because there's a chance you might not succeed. But I don't blame these boys. Why? But maybe the international offers must not be coming. Yeah, because they get 1 tenth of them, why will they go there? So I don't blame them. No, but are the offers at 1 tenth price coming in? They don't come in.
37:42Offers don't come in. You have to go there. See, when you are from India, you have to go and show who you are. Now, for example, if you score 100 goals in the Indian Super League, do you think Barcelona will pick you up? No, man. They don't care. They don't care what's happening in the Super League. Okay, but if you have a 12-year-old who goes and scores against Barcelona, at 13 he scores against Real Madrid, at 14 he scores against Liverpool, at 15 he scores against Man U in some tournament, you think at 16 he'll be picked up by them? Yeah. one of them will put them under camp and be like exactly now I'll give you an example of why I'm so pissed off see all my haters in India are all the rich clubs all the rich clubs and the ones who are professional and organized and all their second division all the small clubs they love me because I'm come from them but these guys hate me why because see Barcelona has the best academy in the world La Masaya which is known as producing Messi and all those guys so they or Ajax or Real Madrid okay so the best academy in the world that means they have the best coaches they have the most money they have the best infrastructure sports science this that so who are the best clubs in India so that means that is why they produce the best players obviously because everything is best the best who are the best players in India the best clubs in India the ones who have the maximum money are the Indian Super League clubs.
39:14Okay. They have the best coaches, best infrastructure, best whatever man. Other than Bengaluru FC. Why Bengaluru FC? Because Bengaluru FC were an I-League club and from I-League they went there. The system, they have an entire city. So my hat's off to Bengaluru because he's not just doing it for football, Perth and his entire family. They're doing it for the entire thing because in Belarime, they've got an entire city which is devoted to sports. so that is massive this is brilliant so before the ISL started they were already doing it and other than Bangalore FC now look at the stat how many players in the ISL has been going up the last 11 years how many players for India has ISL clubs produced which have come from their academy how many
40:02I wouldn't know tell me no way in 11 years the club has not produced Except BFC. Yes. Not even one. In fact, there were clubs who had great academies who were in the I-League but they shut down their academies and that is why Bengal football is dead. East Bengal and Mohan Bagan. They used to have great academies. For 100 years they had academies. And the moment ISL stopped, they stopped. Why? Because the fund is enough so the owner, whoever the billionaire owners are, they think, oh, why are you doing this? What is the ROI here? Nothing? Oh, you have to do this. Because I want a title this year.
40:40So how many players? Zero. Now let's come to another stat. How many players have been produced by me? We have produced 250 internationals in the last 10 years for all age groups which is more than the total of every other club and academy in India put together on one side. Let's cut everyone on one side. We have still produced more. And I'm saying it open and I keep saying it. Somebody should come and say it out to me. And am I a genius? No. Am I? it's the simplest thing to do you make them play morning night morning night morning night at the young age they will become footballers football is the easiest game in the world to teach because you don't need money African countries are doing it they don't have any money jeans we've proven our jeans so what do you talk about jeans?
41:28when we were young that means 50s, 60s, 70s the only medals we used to get was in boxing or in wrestling or in weightlifting and we didn't get any medal They didn't come to us. So you constantly talk about the genes. No, we don't have money. Now we have money. The population is not much. So Cape Word, Kurasau and Iceland. One population is one. Kurasau is 1 ,500 ,000 people. A small island. And they are playing in World Cup this year. Bro, we have more people in Diwali. I'm not, so imagine. So it's got nothing to do with the amount of people playing. these are all excuses this is all just trying to show people why they are so shit now they've got this new great idea let's get OCI's and PIO's so basically you've said that one person goes out here and goes in a country in New Zealand there's no football it's like the fourth or fifth game in a small country they go there they also reach the world Indian okay you've got to take them but you've got millions that means you've given up.
42:36What is your point then? What is the point of having a federation if you're still going to go and take other federations produced other federations produced players? They're not produced by you. They may be your coon but they're not produced by you. So what are you going and telling the Indians who are here? That we've given up? That you are not good enough? We're telling our own Indians. So is there a long term solution? Come on man. If they want to play for India tell them to give up their passports. this thing about having dual passports and allowing them permission is not right you better bleed blue when you're playing for your national team I'm not kidding when I say this you're not kidding when the armed forces background is there for me there is nothing known as second place second place in the armed forces war means second place you're dead there is nothing known as second place second place, last place, same and you have to just hate it so much like I have a son who's two and a half the day he beats me in anything I will be the saddest man in my life not the proudest the day I lose to my dad who is 80 I will be devastated I don't care if you are on the field I will beat your ass and I will boil your children and eat them alive I don't care because that's what it is you are on the field you cannot be soft Indians from the very beginning their attitude has been too soft See, as long as you're off the field, I'm saying my kid and my dad, off the field and my love, man.
44:09On the field, it is a habit you call. So we Indians, these goras have come here from these academies. Who are the Indian cricketers who are going abroad and playing for other national teams? The ones who don't even make the districts here. I'm not kidding. The boys who don't make my club side, Minerva's club side, are national team captains. of other countries. So who do you think are the footballing coaches who come here? Or the players who come here? Who are they? Exactly. Can't you get it? How are you going to become, oh, we should play with better players. No. Better players. If that was the criteria, then everyone in the Spanish league would be Messi because Messi has been playing in the Spanish league for 20 years, man.
44:50You don't improve at that age. So let's come to that. Now let's come to the foundation. So I told you, why don't we become? Why don't we become? because of our system. Our talent is not at all. It's a system which sucks so bad. In fact, it is working against you. At every single time, you will have obstacles and hurdles and that is why people just give up. The number of people who I know personally who have just given up in sports is immense. It's just too many. Give me top three obstacles which system creates. Merit is not counted in. What else is left? they don't care if you're good sports is about merit what matters if not merit how do I get in your father how much money you can give in the house how much money you can give in the house how much money you can give in the house how much money you can do in the house and you think oh this is still happening a local state football club or like a state football team I will get in the team just because my father no not football team football teams will be playing to win I am talking about where you will actually become a footballer.
45:59If you are going to football, you have become a footballer. I am talking about when you are playing for your nationals, for your states, for your districts. Starting from your district. You have to go to the district team. You have to pay money. Or your father or your mother. Or your brother or your brother. In the district team. Why? Because you get a certificate from district. You get a school mediation. After district, you go to the state. you get an admission in a state certificate. And then you play national and you get a job. And they pay money for that. Instead of paying bribes there, they'd rather pay money bribes here, which will be much lower, that you play my child nationally.
46:41And you will see when this episode is aired, you will see so many of your comments down there. Oh my God, this is happening, this is happening, this is clearly happening. Because everyone's been through it. tell me the price if somebody wants to play football suppose Santosh Trophy Santosh Trophy is senior national that means if you have a certificate you will get a division in any college in Delhi in any college you will get a division in sports court that means the college will take care of your fees and your food and drink because you have that certificate and then cut off won't matter 1 lakh 1.5 lakhs you can get into any team then in the junior teams it's from 20 ,000, 30 ,000 40 ,000 14, 16, 18 so if you pay 20, 40 ,000 rupees you play in a team you play in the team regardless of how you play so the child is good and the child is poor and the child is watching what's the problem what's the problem I'm doing my mom and dad I'm doing my job I don't have to keep it here because even when I'm good and I'll beat his ass he's being taken because he's richer than me and what did he do in the senior football I was playing in the I league, the top league of the country.
47:49I beat Mohan Bagan and East Bengal in Calcutta in front of 80 ,000 people with my academy boys. Okay. And we won the I league, which was the top league of the country. We went to the Asian Champions League, AFC Cup. His last year, they demoted the whole league. Because what did BCCI? Someone said, someone else's child, ZTV's child, was making it. He said, what's the meaning? It's my game. Forget this. I'm going to make my own. IFF has done what else? He has made a new team in the top league. Did they own that league? ISL? No. Did they have any control on it? No. But they made them the top league.
48:30And there was no merit. That means there's no promotion and relegation. That means even if you're the last team, you don't go down. You still play. And here, second division, which I made, third division, fourth division, they win until they come to third. Here, they win until they come to second. You keep going down. and you pay the last two. It's for us. If I win the second division, I can't go there. Why? Because I don't have enough money to pay a private company 18 crores a year. If I had, if it's not the first thing, if it's there, I wouldn't pay them to my academy. Because I would have produced 180 players, 200 players from there because of that 18 crores.
49:07And when you do this and you make merit not a part of sports, you will never do well. In the last 10-12 years, the number of people who have come into the ISL as new players I mean, no I can count on my fingers in the ISL the ones who are doing well they are same guys playing because there are no academies I can count the number of residential academies on my hand the ones who are class on my hand tell me you said if you have to play in a national team no, national team if you have to play nationals no, no, no nationals nationals means I'm playing for Punjab and the nationals state team so if you have to be in a state team to play nationals you have to pay 1.5 lakhs and then you can get it regardless of how shit player you are doesn't matter you have never played football in your life I'm not kidding bro I can pay 2 lakhs and walk in tomorrow yes in Sandor Shafi I can make you play no way yeah bro it's very very open that's how corrupt it is and it's an open secret like everybody knows let me even blow your mind further in cricket there was fixing happening and they were caught and when you give odds so I have to kill Raj in cricket so there are my odds but the police is watching all of us and we are not going to do it but I am playing football I have to kill Raj but there are no odds but there are no odds so the bookie will fix it which is the most scrutinized game here or where will you do it so I'll just give you an example go on to Delhi Premier Leagues this is Delhi State Senior League which is on YouTube go on to the YouTube any of the things and you'll see there are all the comments 80 % of the comments are in a different language either Russian or East European and giving talking about rates and football and all that because they're betting on it and they're fixing matches here in every state league I put out videos last to last year of fixing happening in Delhi it was proven FIRs were launched why is fixing still happening everywhere because no one's gone to jail for it in the history of Indian football no one has ever gone to jail for fixing because in India we don't have a rule we don't have a law what is fixing there's nothing that is because the court has ruled that no it can't be said it's cheating it is cheating how is it not cheating it's fraud but cricket where fixing is very strict no you can't do that yeah because now now now now because the amount of money which is involved not because of anything else If you are a 10-year-old, who is doing it?
51:42This is football. 10-year-old, do it. And it's being fixed. Now again, so suppose junior, I'm good enough, I can't get in because his father is here or his money. What's happening in senior? It's the same thing except there are 5 players playing their own goals. And when I say their own goals, bro, you have to see how blatant it is, man. Own goal. Blatant. It is just blatant. Blatantly, they are doing own goals because it's fixed. it is that fixed it is that blatant that any guy who's never seen football in his life can come to how much do they get paid to do own goals 10-20 thousand rupees why because what is the club paying them for the entire season of Delhi family 40 thousand bucks so if they can make 20 thousand from every match and it's the easiest thing to do is fix the referee because you don't have to fix the match also you have to fix the number of yellow cards this team will get more than four yellow cards you double your money so what do you do bookies they spend 10 ,000 in the European countries 10 ,000 here 10 ,000 here 10 ,000 here so it's not flagged otherwise it's flagged if it's a big bet on one particular thing it's flagged so it's a big bet from 10 different places they make money and they're making money in every state league in India so I'll blow your mind even further see when you are when sports comes in and this all comes in you have to legalize it.
53:11The problem with thing is you have to legalize betting. What they did is you think it's going to stop? You think betting has stopped in cricket? You also know and I also know that all our friends are bloody going crazy. Every match because they've got numbers and nowadays oh my god I saw somebody using an app man they're using apps to bet and they've got on our time I used to be I have seen all that happening man in front of me and now it's app you just press buttons and then you say that we have banned it no somebody else is making the money you so how do you make India super power if there's no money that's where your money is you legalize it and you make sure your government is earning interest in it and you know how much money it will be it will be your highest earning revenue source in the country by far by beating everybody if you are allowing lotteries in some places state governments I'm saying that state government you allow a lottery in some states you allow a casino what does that mean you don't allow betting same way coming to alcohol how is the other drugs which are not allowed better than alcohol but betting will in an uneducated country betting destroys houses yes and that's why it's not allowed yes so that you have kept him safe.
54:34But does drinking destroy houses? Yeah, but there's an age limit and stuff like that. Alcohol. Alcohol is available? There's an age limit and stuff at least by the law. So, betting anybody can download it on their phone. Are drugs available in karyana shops? They remain available in karyana shops. They're trying to fight in an illegal way. So, illegal way betting is also allowed. Why? They have not legalized drugs. So, it's not allowed. So, betting can't be allowed. Weed is legalized all over the world now for that reason. But for India, I'm talking about you have to see if it is gonna stop it.
55:09If it is gonna stop or maybe even make it less. You made it so organized, man. They've got apps now. And someone sitting out of some other country is actually operating. So who's making the money? Somebody outside. Why aren't you making the money? It's my Indian's money. Same way I was talking about Messi getting 150 crores. He's gonna get 150 crores. He's gonna take the money to Argentina. With Indian money, he's gonna make 10 more messies. Indian money. So, if there is, for example, ZTV gave 30-40 billion dollars for this football ride. That means that much money is there for football in India.
55:43You tell me one cricketer, including Virat or Shubman or Tendulkar, who will give 85 lakh rupees for standing next to him selfie? With Tendulkar, I'm talking about who will give 80 lakh rupees. 10 lakh rupees for a selfie with Virat Kohli as long as you're in the picture with two here, two here, just for one second. You'll give 10 lakhs? Anyone will give 10 lakhs in India? No. But for a foreigner, Messi for coming in and you'll do that. And he's a foreigner. Imagine if you're an Indian there who's as good. You don't understand. Cricket and football or not, people will hate me for this. They're not comparable.
56:16For CSK fans will not divorce their wives if their wives are Mumbai Indian fans. And their kids can be Punjab 11 fans. It's their choice. You try doing that in Mohan Bagan households, East Bengal households, Banu households, Liverpool households. they will throw you out or divorce you ultras go and kill each other they will fight and fight to death for you which cricket club has that which any sport forget that any sport so football so Bill Shankly a very famous Liverpool coach said people say football is a matter of life and death I can assure them it's much more Because that's the kind of response you don't understand with the number one game in 155 countries.
57:00Now, I would have said that I'm here, why am I here, why am I here, when I know that it's never going to do well. Because it's an anomaly. We are doing well in hockey, beating the same countries which do well in football. We are playing cricket and doing the same thing. See, they say that they don't have money in hockey, that's why they don't have cream. In cricket we can play Australians in cricket. In New Zealand we can't leave the rest of the countries. So how come in not in football? In javelin we can do that. In shooting we can do that. In badminton we are world number one in doubles now.
57:36World number one, two, Chirag and Satvik and all. Then in tennis we have had grand slams man. All of them from even men's, women's both. Then look at hockey we are now in the top ten. you look at athletics Gurvinder Singh you name the sport man we are doing well except in football so how is it not an anomaly so now I'll ask you a simple question do you believe that ever or ever in our future any Indian will play in the top European club ever or ever ever ever it's guaranteed why not ever or ever why not so that is my aim now it's starting to play in the world cup who is From a small country. Yes.
58:19So imagine that there is such a bad system here. That person will migrate and go there. And understand how he migrates. So if he migrates, he's not doing well. If you are a billionaire here, you will not migrate. So if you are not doing well, you want better opportunities and chances for your family, you go out. That means you don't have money. You don't have any resources there. So you send your kid to the free academy or something like that. He played from Kerala, he played from Qatar. The population of the Qatar, 15 million, 1.5 million again. And the population of New Zealand, again, we have one person, he's also married.
58:58How much is our system? That's why I'm saying it's got nothing to do with anything else except the system. Explain me about system. I'll talk about systematic questions on this. So, actually before we talk about system you said something about Messi we gave him 150 crores no the private organizer who organized that gave him 150 crores so Indians yeah yeah what was the point of calling him here what happened making money no but what was the scene like I think it was a big mess so what happened was he was supposed to come to four different cities this is the second time Messi is going to come here the first time he came for a match so I was very I got involved with it and I held the Delhi event for Messi.
59:44So, not for Messi, for the Indian guy who organized it because he got arrested in Kaya Gata. And poor guy, it's not his job fault at all. It was the, again, the politicians and doing that. So, 150 crores was paid to him. But, it was also the amount of money which was made in revenue or spent or done whatever that event was. In three days, how much money was involved? 1000 crores. What? 3 million to Ambani ji has given him to him that you have dinner and go to the night at 2am. I know who cricketer called Ambani ji to his home in Jamnagar, he went to the jet. Imagine the power of Messi, the richest man in India or whatever, the most powerful man, he's calling him.
1:00:29Even who would never call. He owns cricket. So 3 million dollar they paid it to Messi or they paid it to the organizer? No, no, Messi. That was nothing to do with him. Directly to Messi. So the organizer's thing was that he will have two days, he will take them to four cities. Basically he was like a show monkey All he was going to do was go into the stadium And just go around and wave So no match, nothing Wave For 40 minutes Every ticket in the stadium was sold between 7 ,000 to 15 ,000 rupees Sorry, 10 ,000 to 15 ,000 Which IPL match is 10 ,000 tickets? And what did he do there? Messi from far away You can't even see his face, man.
1:01:12That's it. And 10 ,000 rupees willing to pay. Happily. Happily willing to pay. Indians. And thousands of people paid. Thousands. 30 ,000 people in Delhi. 40 ,000 in Hyderabad. 30 ,000 in Mumbai. Another 30, 40 ,000 in... Oh, 60 ,000 in Krakata. Now, let me come to the other numbers. So, we were staying in a hotel in Delhi. But not me. I mean, Missy was staying in a hotel. But because I was there. so they had in every hotel they went to there was a ballroom and in the ballroom there were 10 tables set up each table had 10 people in it each table had paid 30 lakh rupees to be there 10 tables 3 crores Messi came in 10 people in a table so 3 this side 3 this 2 this side 1 photo 1 sign on 1 shirt of yours out 30 lakhs gone table gone next so in one hour he earned 3 crores for the organizer 3 crores one just this okay then there were private selfies all that so basically he was making around 10 crore rupees just from outside activities then from ticket sales he was making another 5-7 crore 10 crore rupees that means from each venue he was making around 25-30 crores easily and in Calcutta he was supposed to make even 100 but if you are making 30 crores here 30 crores here 30 crores a year and another 50 and then you're making from sponsors so you had 8 sponsors each sponsor was giving them around 2 crores so there was sponsor so the amount of money which now this is the money which was there now the money which was spent by the public because when you go to the stadium you pay money in petrol you pay money in eating so the amount of money which has gone out of Indian pockets is more than 500 crores on by the public and then 150 obviously which we paid to him.
1:03:08So, Indians have the capacity to spend 650 crores in three days to see a foreigner. Imagine if you get an Indian message. This math is inflated. 650, it would be much less. I'll tell you. But let's say hundreds of crores. 60 ,000. 30 ,000 people. And you have tickets at 10 ,000 rupees. Every ticket won't be 10 ,000 rupees. The least ticket was 7 ,000. And the max, why I'm saying 10 ,000 because there were tickets which were 30 ,000 as well. And there were corporate boxes which were like 1 lakh rupees as well. So I took a lot of estimates that it would be 10 ,000. Now, let's take a look at 10 ,000.
1:03:46But let's say, let's... Let's go, bro. Yeah, bro, forget that. What is the budget of EFF? You leave the budget of 500 crores. I'm not saying 500, but it was 300. I leave 300. I'll do the budget of EFF. What is the budget of EFF? 50 crores. For a year? Yes. So why do you think? See, you're getting hurt. I'm also getting hurt. But then I think, oh my god, I'm getting hurt myself. That it's going to be my life. But 150 crores, you're giving it to Guy to wave. And were the fans told that all he's going to do is wave? Yeah, they knew about it. So in Calcutta they rioted because they didn't let him see because there were all these politicians around Messi.
1:04:33so they couldn't even see Messi see Messi's wave and that is where the big problem was no but wasn't he supposed to play no no you think before the world cup Messi will play what if somebody from India tackles him I think he's going to tackle him so he was never going to take the chance everyone knew about it for example in Delhi when they gave it to me I said listen I will take it but you have to make sure for free Okay, because Messi is not going to be 10 days. If I get free, I will get free. Why not? But I will take it with no politicians are allowed on the field. And there will only be kids.
1:05:13If the politicians have kids, they will have the kids there. But no politicians will be allowed or bureaucrats or officers or whatever. So only the last 10 minutes we had Jaishah and everybody there in the stage. The entire event was kids playing with Messi. Then my team which went to the Mic Cup and beat an Argent. And so they had basically called me. Messi had especially said, get Minawal a team which beat the Argentinian team because their best team was beaten by us in the World Youth Cup in Sweden. And when we went there to the thing, so he handed us over the trophy again as a thing because he beat an Argentinian team.
1:05:50So that is the reason we had gone there. Now, because of that, people loved it that they were just kids playing. And it was Messi. And they were okay with it. But look at the capacity. So if this is so much for the wave, how much are you going to give for the match? Look at it. Easy. Okay, now forget that. Why not for us? Because you, Amul, are making such an ad for full paper. We are the proud sponsors of Holland and this and that. Why are you the proud sponsors of us? We don't get money. We don't get money. We don't get people to see. But that is everybody. but that's what India is doing with our athletes, government and all that, the old reservation is doing all the corporate.
1:06:34We have so much money that we can support the best athletes in the world. We sponsor them, man. The best in the world. So, football is a craze. Okay, let me give you another example. Cricket fans, 750 million in India. Football fans, 350. People say, what do you mean 350 million? That's not possible. How many Indian football fans have? 15 million. European football fans 335 and I don't blame them at all. Why? Because if I have forget them I have 90 minutes Barcelona Real Madrid Mohan Baganis Bengal I will watch Barcelona Real Madrid. Why? Because I can learn much more from that match and teach to my kids than I can learn from by watching my kids who are playing there because half of them are mine.
1:07:16So this thing about what Indians love being number one seeing the best in the world. Before I started 10 years ago I said if I'm going to devote my life here I have to know what I'm getting into what the future is so forget that I'm just going to see I'm just going to do a survey so we did a survey of 15 ,000 kids 15 ,000 5 ,000 under 10 5 ,000 10 to 15 and 5 ,000 15 to 20 this is 10 years ago 15 to 20 85 % cricket and 15 % all other sports 15 to 20 60 % 40 % 60 % cricket 40 % all other sports 20-30 % football. Okay. Under 10, when you go, it's 70 % football and 30 % all other sports. Why? Under 10s are what our generation is now.
1:08:08They are looking at what the world is looking at. Their number one is what the world's number one is. Or all the other 25-year-olds. My job is the under 10s now, under 20s now. Because they are my future. Who's going to get me to the World Cup? The Indian team now? No. Who? Those kids. So my future is them. Now I have devoted my life to it because see first five years when I got into football and in the first five years only I won every title there is to win in Indian football. Under 13, under 15, under 18, senior, futsal, all of them won. In fact, not one multiple of the same. Under 13, 4 times, under 15, 4 times, all of them won.
1:08:50But you know when you win a title who gets happy? Your fans few thousand your parents your relatives the players parents relatives when you produce a play for India and he scores how many people get happy? The country 1.5 billion so I pivoted after 5 years we were under 13, 15, 18 champions and I said that you can't have to have Man Minerva you have to have 10 Minervas or 100 Minervas if you really want to do well and once we did that I sold my club which was Punjab FC which is now playing in the Indian Super League because I have right now currently 28 players from my academy playing in the Indian Super League 28 so I could have made four teams because you have to put foreigners also inside but I don't have the money for that so once I sold that the money which I was the first person in India to ever sell a football club and because it's public notice it's a 15 CR and that was a huge amount I'm talking about 2020-19 You gave him 15 crore for football club.
1:09:54What did he buy? No. What was he buying? The name Punjab FC for right to play in the I league. And he got my under 13, under 15 and under 18 team which were national champions. So why did he buy this? Because I believe that if I am good enough to check my processes, what happens if I start from scratch? Can I do it again? That's a perfect test. And are they in a bad thing? No. Punjab FC, the guy is a rich guy. so he will take care of these boys these boys will go forward and I was right they've taken care of those boys those boys are doing well so the other two academies one is Punjab I didn't mention Punjab FC because it was my club so Punjab FC they have a great youth program Bangalore FC is one and this is the third one so we started off again and again I won all the national titles within five years I won them all but now the aim is totally different it is to get India to the World Cup in 2034 now when I say get India to the World Cup why?
1:10:49because the belief is not there yet and I have to get them there first. Now when I get them there first means, what will happen in this way? That many people can be like that, who are at this time 20-20 years old, in 34 years they will be 32-34, they will still have the same mentality that is now. When there is the Olympics in 36 in India, I will get India medal and I guarantee it. Because in the Olympics you only play your under 23s. That means that I have been 11-12 years old. now you see I'll smash everybody I'll dominate see when I say that we beat we can't beat we have to dominate Indians have to dominate mother of thrash so when we went to the three European titles last year we set three world records the highest scores in the finals 14-0 21-0 and 8-2 three finals these are the three scores no academy in the world had ever won three European titles there.
1:11:47So how did I go to those tournaments? I entered the world's biggest suit tournaments on Google. So your top five was four in that and by chance they were in a way where I could attend them all four if I went by and by. So I said, the main thing was the ticket, it was so expensive ticket. So I said, this is a job of Indian, it's a job of doing it. So I'll come and do it all. So then I said, okay, fine. I have to, and then it's Muhammad Ali effect. I proclaim to the world and not, can we Indians go to the biggest nations in the world? And the people who taught us football, can we go and beat them in their own nations?
1:12:32And not beat, can we go and dominate? We will. And we went and dominated and thrashed. So I said, we will take four titles. Three. In the fourth, we will win. But the first final we win, that's why I will win the rest of the three. because they went there and first time they were in the same Helsinki stadium where India paid in the Olympics in football in 1950 we won in hockey gold medal but in 50 football the biggest defeat in Indian football history in that stadium we lost in 13-0 11-0 to Hungary who was like very very good at that time so I said oh I'm gonna take revenge and more things and we lost 1-0 to a team which was in the final after losing they had beaten a team which on penalties who we had beaten earlier 8-0 so we thought we would have to beat them and the title came up and the boys didn't play there were 5000 Goras supporting them and they had never played in a stadium and that got to them they just stopped playing that just stopped and I was shocked that what happened and that is what is happening to all our internationals some international are like our who are sitting in the plane first time what are you talking about who should exposure to this?
1:13:45Exposure should be the one that is not sitting in the plane. Give them. Because you give it to the people who have already been there. And that is the worst thing. Now when we went there, we did that. The amount of love I got from Indians there because all these tournaments have been happening for 50-50 years. Okay, 50 years. 120, 140, 150 countries every year. 20 ,000 athletes. And that means over a million footballers have taken part in each tournament since it started. footballers only, that means teams. And no Indian team has ever been in the final or won it. We've done it in 50 years, we're the first one.
1:14:20Not one, three of them we won. Gautia Kaap we won last time also, but when we went there, it was like, we'll have to go for a month and three or four years. It's like a lot of money. But the sad part is that the whole world has congratulated me. My federation is not. Why? Because they take me as competition. Why? Because I'm making them look bad. I'm making them look very very bad this is their fucking job not my job and I'm looking and I have no government support I have no business support I have no corporate support I am not rich I have nothing and I'm able to do this let's talk about so one second imagine what they could have done so they are not oh Ranjeet Bajad is a genius no you are incompetent all of you I am not a genius I am doing what the whole world is doing you can do the same if you do the same you'll produce better players than me that's why I hate you why aren't you doing it you're costing my country people say they're sitting there they're going to be a business they're going to be a player they're going to be a player it's my business I can sell players but then I'll keep selling to Mohan Bhani Spengal I want to sell to Barcelona I want to sell to Real Madrid why?
1:15:32because I'm the best in the world I totally believe it man I am limited only by the platform and the opportunities provided to my boys my boys went and thrashed Liverpool 6-0. Why? Because how many teams have played Liverpool before this in any age group? In India? Zero. If I played first then I played first in the Indians. See, how can you not play them and say oh, we are very bad in football. And then you put one hand and how do you send us? You put one hand behind our arm tie it and say go do boxing match. How can you do that? You're going to kill our pair. You're going to kill one day. Our World Cup qualifier is in Afghanistan for our home match, Calcutta match.
1:16:14It's been before us and we are reaching after. Afghanistan is practicing at high altitude. At the altitude of 3000 meters, they have been there for one month. And our Indian team reaches on that day. And Sunil Chetri and Sandesh Jingen at 4am go down to 7-11 to have sandwiches because there is no food. and our president Mr. is sitting in a five-star hotel. Right now, India is not there in the World Cup but our president is there in the World Cup. He is going there. I'll just give you an example. I want all the viewers just to use AI mode on their Google and say, the top 10 lies by so you'll get at least 100 of them.
1:17:01For example, do you know that Raj Bhai, do you know that we hired an astrologer and we gave him 25 lakhs yeah I want to know about it I was like I was like I was like I'm going to have a no no no I'm scared because this was during I got right yeah so what happened was that there was so the last president was Praful Patel he overstayed his elections and I again I went to court I'm the one who's gone to court intervener and the court said okay please have elections and not this so they appointed the chief election commissioner Mr. Qureshi and then Supreme Court Justice Dawe and Bhaskar Ganguly ex-captain of India and then they said please write the new constitution so we wrote the new constitution we did that and they said okay fine please help in elections get them elections so we were sitting in AFF office doing that so the only guy these people knew who was always abusing AFF was me so they said okay you know you know you'll find stuff so they gave me the charge of the integrity section and the first page I opened they wanted to check cleared for 24 lakhs and I said for what this is something and something for something some some astrological services so I thought it was okay I first read AstroTurf I thought AstroTurf what is AstroTurf I said astrological services maybe it's a company who's using it for that but the bill is for something I checked up who's it?
1:18:30it's a pundit I don't know what's it for a pundit I told him that he would take a kundali to the girls and then Igor would tell me who would play in the match. And Igor would fight there and the president and everyone else would tell him that this is how it happens in India. And I told him that I would tell him that I would meet the pundits and ask if I would qualify or not. So I would have known him as well. I would have asked him if I had a kundali or not. that India's good bro here I am doing whatever I can in sports science the latest things and then you see that this is what and then we and by the way we are not rich we don't have any money and they are giving 25 lakhs to an astrologer they give 67 lakhs and they passed a bill and they gave it to the Jammu Kashmir people there was a CBI inquiry people were arrested again 67 lakhs of biryani.
1:19:30What do you say? That is the bill which has been given and passed. 67 lakhs. That means that it means that it's easy to corruption because I was there, I found it. But it's easy to corruption that they don't even make an effort to hide it. That you put a 15 lakhs of biryani, let's show the rest of the football, let's show the rest of the other. How much did you get a 67 lakhs of biryani bill? Bloody hell, okay, let's go, let's open it a little. I didn't even have a dollar.
1:20:01The largest state in India, Uttar Pradesh, which has the population equal to almost as a European man, has no club, no footballers, nothing. Why? Because there is no structure there, there is no system there. So when you say 1.5 billion, Uttar Pradesh doesn't come from the national team. not because there is no place every place is taking but there is no platform that means there is no platform there is no platform for them to perform if you have a platform for them to perform you will see but where will it be from the platform in 67 lakhs
1:20:42this is all real this is proven now yeah proven CBI cases have happened so google everything I am saying you will have big articles on it So how corrupted? So we are not incompetent. We are corrupt. Like our football federation, you're saying it's not incompetent. I'll tell you why. See, corrupt and competent. Because, okay, I have to make money, but I have to do my work. But here it's not. Here it's corrupt and incompetent. It doesn't come to work. And it comes to corruption. So it doesn't come to work. What does your work mean? You have to organize only leagues for kids and seniors. That is it.
1:21:19That is your only job as a state federation. Only thing you're supposed to do. There are at least, out of the 30s, at least 20 states which have not had a league for the last 10 years. So, I'm a very tough athlete for 13 years. Okay? And I'm really, really fit. And there is no league. Do you think I'll stop playing or I'll shift to a different sport? I'll shift to a different sport. Exactly. Goalkeeper to wicketkeeper. Exactly. Kids will not stop playing. Whatever is coming on TV, they'll shift there. Whatever support they have. In which a competitive athlete spirit, he'll play. He'll play. He'll not play.
1:22:02It's like a poison inside. It has to come out. And then once. You know that. Bro, it's actually for me, I really use that as I get my boys addicted to it. So, you know, runners high. You don't go that day and you have problems. Or people who go to the gym. if you miss a session you have a problem because it releases dopamine so if you have super fit kids you will have a nation addicted to fitness now why are all the biggest drunkard sports people why you see any sports person after sports after attire or they get a drink they get a drink why Why? Gambling or alcohol? Yes, why? Because they need highs.
1:22:52Okay, either they get it on the field or off the field. Punjab, drug problem. Why is Haryana drug problem? Punjab, Haryana formed 25 % of the medals and 25 % of the armed forces. The population of Punjab, Haryana compared to the country is 3%. 25%, 25%. Why? Our Punjabi and Haryana, we should have high.
1:23:19It's all dopamine which is being released. Either you get it naturally or like this. Now imagine if you give your kids the addiction of dopamine at that age. Not unnaturally guys, naturally. I'm talking about sports dopamine. Because that is the most natural thing. If it makes you have sex all the time and you're wanting to do that. or if you're doing or if it makes you go out of your way to go and do something because of that that means you're working out in a gym like a crazy guy because he gives you the high there is a science behind it because of that you have to do that now India is creating a land of very soft kids many generation me I have never heard of anyone committing suicide because they got 99.8 % they didn't commit to failure they knew I would fail and they would fail why?
1:24:17because you have not taught them how to lose the person who doesn't play sports he doesn't know how to lose if you don't know how to lose you don't know how to win simple as that you can't take rejection you cannot Indians just they are so protected and made soft that you cannot take rejection they think the world is over what is sports? they teach you to lose every single day and get up I'll see the next day if I win I'll see the next day if I win I'll win this is sports discipline motivation making sure that you are always getting along with people from all over the world or all over your country like this because that's what a team is doesn't care about age, colour, class, creed he's your teammate he's equal then teamwork then you've got cooperation then you've got social adaption then you've got effective communication then obviously stamina, endurance courage never giving up this is what sports teaches you so if you before you even ask me this question what are the three things I can do one number one make sports an elective subject in your in your school you have to who's done it football is an elective subject in Assam Raj if you or me had a choice and I had to do Punjabi or football I would obviously choose a sport at least me no no everybody But a lot of people would choose language also.
1:25:40No, no, they will not. Because that's the only time they can go out to the school. The only period we used to look forward to in the whole school was what period. But poetry, people who are naturally inclined towards language, literature. It's an elective subject. It's already there. It's not. I'm saying if it's become. Now, imagine when you go and tell your dad or mom. I'm going to study who's football. Because I get a number. Will the parent stop? No. Will it make better human beings? Yes. where it teaches them much more about life than putting in the games period, putting your heads down. Now I think that he's a dab, how did he come?
1:26:15He's head down. Because he's head down. So if you do that, you make a generation of not only super fit people, but super, see, if you're a good human being, you will be a good sportsman. Because you need officer-like qualities to succeed in sports or in life. in life also so when I said discipline motivation never giving up all these things you need and if you do that you are taught for life these things are carried on in life so I really believe that this is number one second homegrown players AFF is so great that the whole world if you google it the definition of a homegrown player is any player which has spent more than 3 years 5 years in your academy he is your homegrown player so every place in the world you have to have at least 20 % of your players in your squad which are your homegrown.
1:27:11That means they ensure that you have an academy and doing it. What does it mean in India? You should be born in the state. Oh, you gada's homegrown means that you have to take your best from the thing and then make sure that they are there and you are training them and giving them food and education and that is what your homegrown is. You live in your home and they have grown in your home. And if suppose every team is said that you have to have one under 17 player playing, one under 19, one under 21. And they can only be replaced, substituted by another 17, 19 or 21. So every team has two under 17, two 19s, two 21s.
1:27:51That means they have another one in reserve also. So 3-3-3 for every team. So that means if there are 20 teams or 25 teams in the first, 30 teams in the first two divisions, that means just talk about the first two divisions. So 30 teams are our own. If 30 teams, we have 3 players in the under-17, so I have 90 under-17 players at the top level of game time. 19 and 23. There is no need to be a team to prepare. They are playing with adults. They are playing against foreigners. We don't trust our kids. So, see, the great federation. In 2018, I created a record when we went to the AFC. So, the youngest ever scorer in the AFC cup still stands.
1:28:33Toiba is saying, boy, I put on at 15 and he scored. He scored because nobody put on a 15-year-old man. If somebody had done it, that boy would have also scored. Again, I'm not a genius. You don't trust kids. Who trusts kids? Lameen Amal. He was playing for 15 years in Spain. There's a guy called, who's the youngest guy in the World Cup this time. He's 17 right now, Mora for Mexico. Or you have Nico Williams. See, all these guys have started playing at the age of 15 and 16 with the seniors. I still hold the record there and I still hold record in I league for the youngest ever scorer Himanshu Jangra at 15-16 because I played now I can't play them there why because they said only people who are above 18 can play they can only play because we can't take guarantee for their safety what are you talking about by 18 I mean oh my god you don't understand football so that means in sports by 18 actually a lot of things have been decided already everything I am talking about the world level everything a lot of things are decided Yes, so you, what do they do?
1:29:34And what do these big teams do? They take the best players, 18, 17, 19, 20, and make them sit on the bench. Why? They don't want to go to anyone else. So, they sit on the bench three years. The main time they will improve is between that time, and they don't get game time, and then they get ruined. That is why no new players have come into the industry. Like, imagine Suvi Ganshi, they made him bench. Guaranteed. Football, that's it. But who's going to make them understand? Because people who are there, in the president, who says I played football for India and he's not done. That is his premise of him starting his work and getting elected.
1:30:06That's how he starts it. So he fired. So we were, by the way, we were this much away for the history qualifying for the third round of the qualification for the World Cup. And somebody who's playing in the World Cup right now, Qatar. And Qatar, last minute, we were leading 1-0. Egoshtimak, the coach. And this, the ball went out of the line this much. Good reason. And that guy just went from here and put it back and they put it in the net and they gave the goal. And it's on TV again, you can Google it. Yeah, yeah. And I mean, the same way Qatar got the World Cup by paying people. They got the goal by paying people.
1:30:46Simple as that. That was totally blatant fixing. There's nothing more than that. I saw like in the clip, you can see it absolutely. Clear, man. Clear. Daylight. There's daylight. You don't need VAR. You don't need VAR for that. I don't need like a very sharp referee also like a normal person can make it out. Indian referees can make it out and we have really crap. Okay. So, when you do that and But that's like blatant fixing in front of everyone's eye at a world level then. Imagine. So, how did that happen? So, that happened because how did it happen? Money worked. So, Indian president, federation.
1:31:24what did federation do? Nothing. What did federation do? The coach who took us there. See, winning a title for India is a very big thing in football. Winning three international titles in one year, beating Kuwait who almost qualified, beating almost Qatar, he fired him because he had a personal ego problem with him. But they've got contracts. So you have to give 6 crores. Contract in the contract. Like Jose Milino is going to be going to pay the old club in the contract. We have to give the money in the contract. So they gave 6 crores. That's not coming from the What's the job? Where did you cut the U development's 50 % budget cut?
1:32:03This year? Will you give me 6 crores? I have to give him that because he fired him three months before his contract was going to end. It was in his contract that you will pay me this much if you fire me before. And he fired him and we were telling him that just wait for three months he will go. And he was saying, who said that wait for three months I will go? No, fire him. Now, and pay... But why did you fire him? Because he had a personal problem with him because he said it openly, how are you expecting me to win when you tie my hands behind my back because those guys reach late. My team, you know, when I said, he says, see, in football, you have 10, 12 clubs, whatever they were in the ISL.
1:32:39One club's foreign coach plays 4-3-3, attacking football. One plays 4-4-2, long ball football. One plays pressing. One plays low block. Different ways of playing. Then you get them there, okay, now play this coach's system which he will just tell you on the screen, now go play. People go and have three like Saudi Arabia they had a one month camp before the Asian cup what did we do nothing no camp nothing and then he lost we fired him because all the blame was coming on this guy the president deflection of blame he's gone 6 crore and his budget from our women's coaching budget and we will cut the three budget 50 % 30 % what was it like nothing ego so just because of one man's ego at that time we felt like because he was He was so good coach.
1:33:26He won three titles. He never won. You fired him. And after that, you took 10 years. Because you got in youth development, women's and coaching development. He cut the budget. Because of one man's ego. There's no oversight. There's no accountability. I didn't get the Qatar thing. What did we do? Nothing. We didn't even protest. And that's why Igor was the... Yes, and that's why... We fired him. They wanted to come. He wanted to make a professional, complaint that was never going to happen. So we there were only two people left for the Asian. So if you are in the Asian Cup, we don't qualify. So we were going to get a chance to host it.
1:34:04Okay. And Saudi Arabia was also there and finalists there of Saudi Arabia and we were there. So we suddenly heard that our president has gone Saudi Arabia and he signed a contract and withdrawn from the bid. India had paid over 40 lakh rupees just to prepare that bid to a private company. We got through all rounds. final round he had been voting he signed over someone asked who will give 40 lakh and why did he give it we could have qualified at least he is not doing he is doing so he came back and said which I thought wow yeah well done you know India should not be looking at hosting thing we should be looking at putting all this money and development infrastructure and all that I said sir you are saying a lot about it after that 2 years again we are applying for the Asian Cup posting it What happened in that time?
1:34:56What happened? How come suddenly he's just given it for free? Nothing happened. Why would you just give that away? Who are you to give it away? 40 lakh again tax payers? So see when you have the top like this, it is selected and elected by, so what is AIFF? All all traditions. It is a collection of all the states. How do you become president in a state? All the districts vote. how do you become the president in a district all the clubs vote now in the districts right now the actual like I said football is not but clubs are everywhere everywhere only on paper for voting district president obviously shit comes there and that shit 10-20 of the district shits put together make the president who is a shit and then all the shits together makes that president another shit so it's a system problem I guarantee you they don't care no this one I'll give you another guarantee wait we lose to Bangladesh in the SAF Cup and the next day they have a meeting emergency meeting and again I say oh great it's an emergency meeting because we lost to Bangladesh and the meeting was on how to make sure we tell the Supreme Court we should be able to stay for one more year all of them four hour meeting not even once the Bangladesh match was discussed.
1:36:21The meeting was all on how to make sure we don't have to give up our seats to the Supreme Court. That is it. The budget of their legal team to protect their seats because there are so many cases going against them is 6 crores which is more than the budget of our youth or our women or our coaching development. Okay, Raj, how far back are we? We want to compete with whom? If we want to go to the World Cup, we have to be in Asia. We have to be in Asia in the top four. We have to be in Asia in the top eight. We have to be competing with countries like Japan and Iran and South Korea and all that. Japan has over 12 or 14 ,000 goalkeeping coaches.
1:37:14goalkeepers only in India active coaches are right now 6000 A, B, C, D they are different qualifications pro goalkeeping all of them in India you have 10 ,000 coaches in India where in Japan only goalkeeper is one position for that 10 ,000 coaches so what are the how much stadium you have? I have told you that it was zero there is one private stadium called Trans Stadia. But it is used for concerts, it's used for everything, it's got a swimming pool, it's got this, so multi-purpose. See, multi-purpose stadiums are multi-purpose. I'm talking about football stadiums. By the way, our other country is doing it.
1:37:58Uzbekistan, 15 years ago, or like the country was saying, Kurasau, 15 years ago, was 188th. Uzbekistan was 134. Then, Qatar was also in the 130s. And then, you have so many other countries who 10-15 years ago were lower ranked than us by far. And they are right now in the World Cup. And none of them are richer than us. None of them have better facilities than us. None of them have better infrastructure than us. One is at the war and still going on. One is at the war they're still going there but Palestine they almost qualified for the World Cup last match. They almost qualified Bro Palestine Bro Palestine they don't have a stadium they don't even play there because everything was destroyed.
1:38:45They all are refugees in different countries and they come together and they're still able to do it. Palestine, one match away, they lost in the last minute. Somebody got a penalty. The other team got a penalty against them. So what? Syria, Iraq, Iran. So, I, looking at these things has to be an anomaly. Syria is able to qualify? Yeah, last time they qualified, man. They qualified for the World Cup. And they were almost in the, top four of the Asian Cup. Top eight of the Asian Cup. Again, war. Yemen. Yemen, man. Houthis. Houthis, man. Yemen does so well. So, it is not a very, it's not a rocket science kind of a game.
1:39:31But, and that is why it has to be not corruption. It has to be incompetence. Also, because how can you screw it up so much? it has to be incompetence because you cannot screw it up so much because look at the countries which are doing it they are screwing up everything else in their lives like war this that or economy or poor or whatever but they are still getting this right but do you think one star player coming out of India can change everything yes something like let's say someone if Ronaldo was born here do you think it would have been he has already been born bro we have lost him Messi has also been born Ronaldo has been born in some state and he went there somewhere else.
1:40:10He is either a doctor or an engineer. My example is like how cricket has Virat Kohli today. We have someone, some player right now somewhere who's a footballer equivalent of that. I said that I will give India medals in the Olympics in 2036 because India is going to be in the Olympics and under 23. Why am I so confident about medal there? Because all the boys who are now 11 and 12 with me, they are the ones who are going to make part of the team. now when you see it the whole thing is such a huge mess that it's impossible to know they have made it into such a mess that they think that the problem is they keep on seeing money or Africans are big or they've got this they've got this when the whole thing is they are the problem problem is the people running the game in the city because if all other games we are able to do it's anomaly it's totally why will they allow you and your players to play for the why do you think 34 world cup in 2034 world cup I have said I will make them qualify I don't even know if I can make them do well why because end of the day Minerva will not play world cup India will play so India team will not play Minerva players so I will tell you I will tell you I have 104 titles in 10 years
1:41:38that is in spite and despite of me being the biggest critic of AIFF and being their enemy number one. They fix referees, they fix matches, they fix how much I would have to be their big titles? They did everything in their power to make sure it doesn't happen. But in the end, I also have 250 plus internationals, which is more than the total of every other club in India. All clubs and academies put together. How did it happen? I'll give you another example. I'll tell you. Under-17 World Cup was hosted by India a few years ago in 2017. Boys World Cup. And they had a budget. They gave the budget for 20 crores.
1:42:21They didn't pay for 20 crores in India. What did they do? They gave the 20 countries tour. They stayed on a 3-month tour. All the kids went on a tour. They came back. and at that time I was under 13 under 15 under 18 champion of India all titles even senior all were with me so I requested that please make my you've not selected any of my boys please make them play a match and then if you like them please select some no no no I didn't do it I said please no no no for the time for the time I said okay I'll give you so I took my under 15 and my under 17 team all the way to Gua I paid for it my under 17 beat the Indian under 17 Indian team 2-0 my Indian under 15 team my Indian my 15 under 15 team beat the Indian under 15 team 3-0 they selected 9 of my boys then for the world cup out of them 4 played the world cup in the first 11 every single time there's only one goal India's ever scored in the world cup in any world cup in football it's an Indian boy called Jackson Singh who was selected because of that match which they played against me so is that talent is there yeah my boy so only goal we scored is my boy Jackson Singh Now, is there talent in India?
1:43:35Yes. So are the right people being selected? No. In the Indian national team? No. Even though they're too 50 of mine, I'm still saying the best are not selected. Because they don't know how to select people. The ones they select from my academy are not even my best boys. So the aim is what? So you can't think that this will happen and they might just change. So what do you do? You make it impossible for them to ignore you. What do you do? If my boy is playing for Manchester United, He can't ignore him. He will have to keep him in the team. He will call him the Prime Minister here. What are you doing?
1:44:09So my boy has to be so big. That he will be taken. So good. You just cannot be ignored. You are just so good that he can't ignore you. So if you are suppose the best top 30 player in the world, how the hell will they ignore you? We are always ignore our Indian players. So my aim is what? To get that first boy. The first Neera Chopra. I have to make the first Mohamed Salah. I have to make my country and that club. And clubs don't know about it. One is most of all and then yeah. Bro, one, just one. I just need one. Because it means and why if suppose an Indian Super League club had done it. It's still out of the or Alliance Youth Foundation.
1:44:47They also do it. They've done it. They've got the best facilities. It's still out of the reach of every ordinary Indian. Club owner or academy owner. I'll do it. So, all Indians thought that there's no money for this. He doesn't have money, he doesn't have government support, he doesn't have anti-V, he doesn't have support, he doesn't have AIF, he's a enemy. And he's done it. That means we can do it. Because Indians need proof, he's done it, but we can do it. You get them the first, boy. You take one and see, overnight, if this country, overnight, if this country doesn't become 50-50, you change my name.
1:45:24Indians want to see you in the best. Why do you think they went crazy or messy? Best. Best in the world. We Indians want the best in the world. We want to be number one in the world. We want to only look at the best, have the best, eat the best. Because we deserve the best. We've just been told by everybody that we're not the best. Now we're just figuring out, oh my God, we're the best. See, if you don't give us the same platform, same opportunities, you don't give us food, you don't give us training, you don't give us the same platform, same opportunities, Same everything you give them. Like my food that was here from the Subpreet Singh.
1:46:01He didn't get it. He reached it. There are four other Indians who are doing the same in the World Cup right now. So, So,
1:46:14Why should you start young? Now, myelin is a protein produced in your body. Which is responsible for your fast twitch muscles. That means, this protein maximum produced between the ages of 5-6 going up to 13-14-15 and it starts teetering down now then after that it becomes less then you've heard of this that you can't teach your old dog new tricks that's what it means for example and I'm not calling you an old dog suppose that you're righty or lefty you're righty so if I say I'll make you a lefty as good hand and feet as good within 2 months is it possible no with a 5 year old it is yeah because they don't have neuron connections so what is in India that when they become neuron connections they don't have any coach or they don't have any coach or the most junior coaches that means I'm talking about in qualification they are put with the junior boys we require to put the best because those habits which are formed will stay for life that's the muscle memory so they say They don't have any decision making capability.
1:47:24Indians play very slow. Because Indians play in real. They come and control it. Then we see. Okay, which person is out of my way? And those guys, it's tuk tuk, so it's tuk tuk tuk. Why? Because those things have been done 10 ,000 times by him before. And he doesn't need to think about it. It's automatic. It's only automatic if you do so many number of repetitions. so that like there comes a 10 ,000 hour rule the body takes over 10 ,000 whatever rule whatever if you're in cricket or this it becomes part of your muscle memory the same thing is suffering suffering is also part of your muscle memory suppose you've been through hardship in your life and trust me it's extreme hardship the worst kinds it's the best why?
1:48:10because nothing will get you down because your body always goes back to the worst time and thinks okay I've done it first okay I can do it yeah Same thing comes in, the same survival instinct. Am I done this? Okay, fine. I can do this. Yeah. And then we have, like I said, creating soft people. Kintsugai. Kintsugai is a Japanese term which basically means make all the cracks with gold. So when a bowl or something breaks, they don't throw it away in Japan. They fill it up with gold. so they actually highlight it because they think a broken thing which is made again whole is more valuable now just see what it means more valuable so in India we all try to hide our cracks and we try to hide our weaknesses they are your biggest achievements because they show that you have you're a survivor you survived this this thing which should have got you dead or out like I'm addicted to some drug alcohol, whatever, you're hiding.
1:49:17You don't have money. You have a problem in my house. You have to say that whatever your life has. We're hiding from people because you think that people will think that he's a weak guy. Whereas, no, no, no. It's opposite. You're a strong guy. Because if you're going to survive that and come out of it, you should be celebrating your cracks. Telling the whole world what you've been through. Your scars should be you're born with pride. And these are the things which only the new generation thinks of. That is why when I say with such confidence that I will ask, I will ask. If this is our generation Z and the next, both.
1:49:54Alpha. Both, Chen Z and Alpha. If they were there when the British were there, it would have taken 20 years for the British to be kicked out. I have a lot of khandak against my ancestors. You were 50 ,000 and how many you were and you didn't get out. Why didn't you get out? How did you get out? how can you really live under somebody for 50 years? So that has actually helped me in my final thing because of my inherent hate for Ghoras because they have been trying to make us believe that we are inferior to them. So it's always my thing to prove to them, forget inferior. If we get the same opportunities, we are equal or better than you.
1:50:37I mean, I totally believe there's no one better than anyone. If it's all about what opportunities you've been given, what platforms you've been given and all humans are the same. It depends on what you put in. You put in the hard work. I don't believe in talent at all. At all. What do you mean? Messi is a talent. If you play Messi for the first time you play Messi, then he'll be Messi. He's messy because he's been playing since 5. Yes, he's better than everybody else. Yes, because he's developed the talent. Nurturing. We don't nurture our talent in India. We kill our talent. we take every possible way of saying that we have to kill it.
1:51:17And we don't do it, you know, purposely. It's kind of inherent in our system. Why? Because the same system has been going on since the British. We've just changed our laws now. Some of the archaic laws have been going on for 400 years, which the British had kept. The same systems have been going on. Why? Because the system which had been going on were made to Indians not to do well at the world standard. How are you doing it with your boys? Your boys are the first ones who ended up winning a major football league in Europe. So like, nobody has heard about these guys. Bunch of Indian kids go to European nation, start winning.
1:51:59One, two, three, boom, boom, boom. They just win. No, we didn't. We didn't do that. So, 2020, when I sold that club, my pivot happened. when you're gonna die one day Ranjeet you're not gonna think about how much money you have in your account you're gonna think of moments and moments are when you've won national titles when you've won this when you have done big things in your life maybe your kids maybe your family but it's never about the money in your account never thinking oh I'm dying but I'm going to get 100 crores what do you do you're dying but when it came to moments and I said okay fine I've got internationals produce more than but what are doing at international stage it's not about producing internationals it's about what your internationals are doing so one thing was that you can keep nikaaloying garlic to the federation but our kids will ask us one day if the federation did not what did you do daddy what did you do about it so unless every Indian says okay I am going to get India to the world cup you are not going to get there I need everyone's help with your help I'll get you there faster.
1:53:07You don't help me, I'll still get you there. But I will, without your help, I'll get you there faster. Everyone has to come up with this thing that it's my duty to do it. So I said, okay, I'll take the money away. Because you have to keep pushing them. Chief pusher. But other than that, what am I going to do about it? So I'm going to devote my life to get to India to the World Cup. Simple as that. I'm going to get them there no matter what happens. I have to do it. I'll take it and show them. And I will do it in spite and despite of all the problems. Why? Because I am proven every day that in spite of you, you can have a war, you can have no stadiums, you can have nothing and still people are doing it.
1:53:45Why are we not doing it? How do you train your kids? So then when it started with this, the moment they come in they have a batch called World Cup 2034 right here. From when they are 7. So every day they get up with that batch, they are manifested if this is not what you do, their life is a failure. They have been ingrained and manifested and visualized every single day In 2034, you have to go to World Cup. Here, people put it in. Then what do they do? They're known as the what? They're known as the what? They're training under 17. Here, World Cup batch. They're known as the World Cup batch. They're not known as anything.
1:54:19They're known as the World Cup batch. So, everybody's known as World Cup batch. All 200 kids who are on scholarship, I have devoted, that means all the money which I get from my paid programs, 200 kids are on scholarship from all over India. Now, I'll tell you why I'm so confident because if the 3 countries of the population of Iceland 3 lakhs 2 lakhs 50 thousand I select the amount of 3 lakhs in trial that means 3 lakhs people come to my trial all over India 18, 20, 30 different menus 40 different menus we have over 2 lakh people coming how many do we select 14, 15 and then we start training them and then how do we train them they have like I told you eat, breathe, sleep actions, thoughts and habits and results?
1:55:04From the very beginning, they are, the kind of advantage we get is that somebody knows Helios, HypoLab. So there's a laser which keeps on going here, here, here, here and you're supposed to immediately run to it and put your foot on it. So decision making and reaction times. And then you do it on a daily basis to see where you've reached. Then you've got blood flow restriction. So I'll tell you about all the medical things you're doing. So blood flow restriction, BFR OTA, red light therapy, we are doing that every day every single day with all my athletes because it produces more red blood cells every single day morning they get beetroot shots evening they get haldi shots so we Indians don't understand that how far we are in science in medical science and something which has been proven for 5000 years don't discount it now the world's saying yoga yoga now everybody's saying yoga so what is yoga yoga is flexibility with flexibility we Indians don't now we know how to we used to know how to sit properly in a squat these kids don't they can't sit properly like we are doing they don't sit and all the injuries come from your ankles and your hip flexors not being tight then their complete blood profile is done then their force test is done that means we do gait analysis that means I will tell you if you are walking straight or not and then I can predict your injuries so we don't do rehab we do prehab I will predict your injuries why?
1:56:27because every part of your body suppose you said righty so your right is definitely stronger than your left I will tell you the muscle imbalance so you go to the gym and you're already doing 5kg whatever 10kg 10kg no the weaker one should be doing 12 this should be doing 10 why because you got to or you bloody make this 8 get it weaker but you cannot have an imbalance why guaranteed injuries will happen it will happen not on the weak side it will happen on the strong side because that's the side compensating for that side so that is one then after that we are doing we tell you in the left and right this is 60 % 40 % muscle in your armstring here 60 % here and glutes yeah how much of your percentage muscles difference is then after that we do for recovery we have compression boots we have things like the massage guns we have four massage therapists for the two things which nobody works on and underestimates and is the most important thing is the best muscle and the most important muscle in your body which is the brain and apparently we use only 2 % of it.
1:57:40So training the brain to be at that state and not just for example instead of avoiding it we go to the worst place they can. So we've got four sports psychologists there on board. I mean they live there with the kids. We don't Avoid what if we lose the final. We tell them you've lost the final. Now think what is going to happen. What is the worst thing? So they think about it. They go through the worst thing which can happen. Whenever I see a situation, I go to the worst thing which can happen. And I always think, I'll die. So once if you think that you can handle that, then you can handle anything.
1:58:17And what do we do? People say, don't do it like that. You're getting the final. Don't talk about it. Don't talk about it. Don't talk about it. Don't talk about winning. Don't talk about winning. You know, that's how it happens. We celebrate three days before. The final. The new champions. I'll send you videos of my senior team celebrating. You celebrate three years before, your brain already thinks that you've done it. Your brain can be, see, the brain is so easy to fool. It can be rewired in any way you want. You can go into a deep spiral. Why? Because you can say that, okay, I'm depressed and your brain will think that's true.
1:58:48You're depressed and you will keep on rewiring it and those connections will keep becoming stronger. The same way, if you keep telling yourself you're the best in the world, you don't become the best in the world people understand that but what happens is you start believing in yourself the moment you start believing in yourself that's when you start having more confidence your confidence comes from the amount of work you put in people say oh my god confidence confidence is not because your body knows because who can't you lie to? yourself you can't lie to yourself and you know you're crap if you are the world number one you'll be confident why?
1:59:18because I'm world number one or I'm that good in my sport so why do you think I'm that confident whenever I go and I say I'm going to beat their ass I gave a speech before Liverpool that was very viral and I said we have to get to them I was going to get to them so who viral would you do this speech I knew it that we were going to do it because then another thing what I do I use anger people think it's the wrong thing to do and it's the opposite, no angry I can, because if you are if you make an athlete angry and you give direction to that anger You can't have an anger and make it like flooding anger inside.
1:59:57Then you can't. And then you're reckless. Then you don't know what you're doing. And then you're over. Anger. Why? Because that's the only performance anxiety state, anger, where it is outside. You direct everything outside. There are no questions about how am I looking? Am I doing it right? Doubts. Self-doubts. And nothing happens. Why? Anger. That's the most primal human instinct. Survival comes in. in the most primal instinct the last thing you're thinking about is what you're thinking about is what you're thinking that I'm feeling or not I'm feeling the only way you can stop thinking about anxiety stress and nervousness be angry be very angry but be very angry at someone at an opposition at a result at someone direct your anger make sure you will never have stress anxiety or anything else in your life why because it's outward it's not towards you every other performance anxiety state is inward and people say the opposite angry angry angry and this entire thing started with me having to prove to myself that you know anything is possible I truly believe we are limited by our belief in ourselves all of us no matter who you are man I believe success is a choice why is discipline a choice whose choice our choice is effort a choice yes is hard work a choice yes success is a choice man what else it doesn't depend on your father your mother how rich or poor you are yes if you are rich you might have to work a little bit less you still have to work if you are poor you have to work more but you still get there these are all excuses you and you said this that your current state is a manifest manifestation of all the physical excuses or excuses you think you believe to be true believe to be true means that you are listening to what society has been telling you that these are the limitations of a normal person and you.
2:01:55And you believed it. You set your limitations. You set your beliefs. And if you believe, you actually truly with all your things believe. No one can keep you from it. But you have to just work. Work, work, work. There's nothing else. You don't have to do it. What do you do? what's up, nothing else. No one can fucking stop you. There's no power in the world which can stop you. And I'm not saying this again, I'm not a genius. This is a tried and tested thing all over. I don't know why people don't understand. And all top athletes around the world do the same thing. Exactly. And then it's got nothing to do with your talent.
2:02:39This thinking, way of thinking has nothing to do with your talent or how rich or poor you are or how bad you have it in life with all the problems. When it's got just to do with your mind, then why isn't everybody doing it? Imagine. It wasn't bad enough. Ambition. And that is it. And actually that comes from the society telling you that you can't do it. You know, I was watching this one clip where… Coach is talking about Kobe Bryant. So one day Kobe Bryant's girlfriend was at the court. So the coach asked Kobe Bryant's girlfriend. So what is it like to be a Kobe Bryant's girlfriend? She's like, it's like every day after basketball match, you go home and you watch Michael Jordan clips.
2:03:31That's what it is to be Kobe Bryant's girlfriend. imagine because you're so obsessed you don't know anything else so from morning to night you're training for yourself exactly after going home you're watching for entertainment you're watching Michael Jordan play so that's what my wife says you play football the whole day and you come back and then watch football again what is wrong with you and that's what it is and that's what the obsession does to you so motivation discipline obsession this is all from these three things see motivation can make you go there to that place and okay fine I want I want to start doing this and I have to do it and I am going to be able to do it and then your discipline is something which makes you do it okay okay I have to do it and obsession is I can't do without it I have to fucking do it otherwise I will die I have to obsess obsess obsess and the ones who make it are the ones who make that obsession part of their normal life because see motivation gets lost a little bit then discipline comes out But India is very difficult.
2:04:35India by inherent our society is like, our society is such that we de-incentivize obsession to become number one in any field. Very true. Because we are like, okay, hey, you know what? You're great at math, but you should do this as well. Oh, you should not be obsessed with this thing. Or let's say if you're great at this thing, then you're like, you need to be great at family relationships as well. Don't keep all your eggs in one basket. If we have failed, where will we go?
2:05:22In India also, they say, oh, you know, this is for development. and these Goras, the failed coaches from outside and all these rich clubs. Oh, you know, we don't win any medals or this and trophies and all because it's for development, development, to development. What are you teaching the kids that is okay to lose? I'm talking about 12 to 16 in India. All the academies, because they lose, they say, and they've got Gora coaches and they've got even these big coaches and they all say, this is the time for development. We should not be thinking about winning or losing. Oh, damn well you are. You're teaching, you're coaching them to be losers.
2:05:54you're telling them it's okay to lose it's not okay to lose it's never okay to lose it's a habit see you have to be in a habit it has to be part of you it's not okay to lose I'm saying I won't lose see I'm saying I won't lose to my 2 year old son and my dad man how can you say it's okay to lose they give participation medal oh my god for showing up no man we have to make people who have to understand that winning is the only thing. Because we don't win. You are not winners. You are being a loser and you're saying, oh, you can win? That's being stupid, man. You'll never win. So you've got to bring up kids who know that they can take on anything in the world.
2:06:39And that is why you make them have fun until 12th so they're not actually fun. Basically, what they're doing is they're trying to show the kid, okay, these are the sports available to you. What do you like the most? What do you love the most? What do you think is the best sport? like all my footballers there are seven sports available there so on the off day they cannot play football they have to play either TT or badminton or volleyball or something like that so why because you learn so much more from other sports than your own sport and a different area of your brain opens up because you are out of your comfort zone and I believe you only grow out of your comfort zone if you are see I tell them some of these campers come for one or two months so school people don't know so when they come they say I say if you are feeling comfortable here in the first five or six days then I'm not doing my job properly.
2:07:24You only grow out of your comfort zone. That means you better be uncomfortable and only then you'll have growth. So if you think Minerva is a place of luxury, it's not at all. And it's a place of making sure that I push you to your limit. That means, so I tell my boys that, listen, if I stop abusing you or pushing you or I'm after you, that means I've given up on you. I am only pushing you and if I'm really, suppose you are the one I'm picking on the most, You're the most luckiest guy, man. Because I really think that you can go really far. And you're not doing justice to your potential. And my job is to make sure no potential talent gets nurtured.
2:08:01No potential gets wasted. So I'm going to push your ass. And if you understand that and don't think, see, I am not here to win an election. I don't care if the kids like me or not. I don't care. Because if I was a politician, I wanted their vote. Yes, I would care. And I'd be diplomatic. I will never be doing that. I'll be telling them on their face, this is what you need to do and you suck right now and you do this and you do this and be very very open with them only if I am horrible to them now will they be pushed to a state where they can excel later because they don't even know their own limit I don't know their limits and I said the day I stop pushing you then you better go from the academy because that means I think you've reached your potential so there's a there's a there's a similar rule in Navy SEAL right it's called 40 % rule that you don't let your people quit the moment somebody wants to quit it's like they've not given up it's just they've reached 40 percent of their potential there's still 60 percent life inside them which is left so you push them beyond when they want to say and that's where the never leave a man behind comes from because suppose he's just bowing he says no i'm just giving up no you know you can't you can't you can't right so you do something similar and like when your boys want to quit you're like no you can't quit right No chance.
2:09:19So, first is... So, before I come to that, so I'll tell you. I tell them, so we have this, the dreaded hill where they have to run up a hill where Thairab ends with the other guy who's actively trying to pull him down at the same time and he's wearing ankle weights and a weight chest on top. So, he's got 40 kgs on him plus a 50 kg guy pushing him down and he's running up a hill. So, I said, how long do you have to do it? I said, if you want to vomit till the time you vomit, vomit, after that wipe your face, start again. If you, by any chance faint, I'll put water on your face and start. If you die, then I'll leave you.
2:09:53I am not kidding. That's how hard I am. Why? Because I've never been there, man. This is a dream of 1.5 billion people in this country. And I'm damned if I'm not going to get it because you're a lazy ass. Or you don't want to achieve your potential. Or your talent because you're getting it for free. Scholarship. That's why. And if you don't want to do it, get out. I've got other people because it's not your dream anymore. It's India's dream. And I've devoted my life to it. I can be earning see if I've got 200 boys I can be I'm spending 5 lakhs on each 10 crores I can be having the best time of my life man I don't need to do anything for the rest of my life because I've made my name if I don't have any this thing and I just have okay fine I'm just going to teach people and I'm not going to have any results oriented thing all the people will come to me and there's a scientific way that you push your kids right you were telling me about lactic acid and blood work explain me that tell me that so when we do the blood work so number one when they do the entire blood profile, we know exactly what proteins, what carbohydrates, what they exactly need.
2:10:53Then when we are giving them that is according to their body weight. Supplement of vitamins you're giving. Carb loading is done before they match. So they're giving food maybe carbs. So like noodles or rice or whatever, even bananas. So we give them enough carbs so their body is primed with full of energy at that time to make sure that they are fully energized. Then after that, even protein is given according to the body fat percentage and amount of weight they have per gram one gram different depends on weight loss, weight gain and then we do lactic acid test that means I have a machine which while they are playing in a match either in the hydration breaks or half time I test them and it's like a blood thing so it's like that diabetes thing but except it's a prick and you test it immediately and you come to know what lactic acid you have so I know exactly how much how tired you are doesn't matter what you are telling me what your RPE is rate of perceived exertion.
2:11:45So that's according to the athlete, rate of perceived, what he perceives it to be. Forget the perceived man, I will know exactly what you are. I will know what your lactic acid is, if I flushed it out properly or not, and whether you need a change. And then we do glucose monitoring. So what they're using here, they have a little patch here. Yeah, exactly. So I know exactly at that time how much glucose you have, blood glucose. It's got nothing to do with diabetes. It's got your energy. What is blood glucose? It's the energy level in your body. If you're going to go down, I know exactly who needs a very high spike, more electrolytes, more this, more glucose, or who's okay.
2:12:19And if I give him a higher spike, he'll have a crash immediately after that thing weighs down. So it has to be maintained in that level. We do that. Then we do Helios. That means it's a laser machine which measures your reaction time and decision making. Then my advantage is an Armed Forces Academy. I bring the Special Forces training manual into it. we take from that and we other than box breathing we give pain mind over matter so I will give you a demo after this here suppose my pain in my and I have paid the painkiller will I have done it? no no just the signal going to the brain of that pain is finished so when the painkiller is wear off then the pain will come back now logically speaking an outside chemical has been able to control inside my body those neurons which are making me having making me have the feeling of pain.
2:13:12If an outside chemical has been able to control it, logically speaking, I should be able to control it on my own. Agreed. Logically. Who else can do it? One of our Buddhist monks, they are sitting in front of us. You've seen those photos. And our Rishi Muniz, they are at 5 ,000 meters, minus 20, they are sitting in front of us. They're frozen. Beards are frozen. They're not feeling gold. Who else in India can do it? Our special forces. Oh my God. They are trained in such a way that they can just shut their body off, mind over matter. That means you shut everything off. Nothing ever matters. Imagine if you can do that, if you can control your brain.
2:13:51What I've been trying to do. So one of my boys now who was that time a major in the SF, special forces, he told me, sir, you tell everyone that you be better than yesterday every day. So sir, you did something wrong and you didn't say enough.
2:14:08I was taught this technique and we use it and it is very successful. Mind over matter. So you know what lactic acid is. So where do you want me to give the demo? You know what lactic acid is? Lactic acid is produced in your body when you are overworking a muscle. It's your muscles way of giving a signal to your brain that you are working it more than normal. It might sprain, strain, rupture, whatever. So stop. It's a pain. It's a pain. So when we go to the gym, we don't put, suppose I have bicep and I have 100 reps, I don't put 100 reps. Or I have 6 sets of 15, 15, 20, 25, whatever. And I do it set by set.
2:14:53If the weight is correct, if your weight is correct, the last reps should be like this. It should be like this. It should be like this. It just drops. And then you wait for 30 seconds or 45 seconds and you're able to do it all over again. But is that your limit? Which you just stopped? No. You're just losing to your brain. Why do you think you over eat? You oversleep? You do things which you're losing to your brain every single day. Imagine if you have the power to control that. So, you know what squats are. So, squats are basically me sitting on this chair. But there is no chair. That's the squat, yes?
2:15:34So this is a squat. So what will happen? Abhi, while we are talking, there will be lactic acid which will be produced in my legs. And when I come in my legs, like I am coming, my body is asking me, what are you doing? What are you doing? Why are you doing it? What are you doing? I am telling my body, shut up. I am trying to give everybody a demo of how to control pain with my brain. I'm saying, okay, get up. And I'm telling Nadirin, shut up. I'm not even listening to you. I'm watching a match, I'm doing this or I'm just talking to you. Not paying attention to my body which is screaming out in pain.
2:16:16Because that's the reaction which has been given to the body. And my body says, I'm dying. And I'm saying, shut up boy. I'm your master. You are my slave.
2:16:29Shut up. I'm your master. Your body will abuse you. Shut up. I am your master. You are best for you. I can sit like this for one hour. If you sit for a while, you will not get up. Because everything will go. But I can. Raj, I can make all of you in your office right now sit like this for one hour. And I am not talking about motivation. Motivation doesn't do for a lot. If I make you sit all of you like this right now. And I will keep you here with 12 inches.
2:17:04So if you can go beyond your limit then your life is threatened by this much. Why can't you go beyond your limit by this much every single day? Because it will be a world champion. You have to go beyond your limit. This much every day. Beat yourself. So how much push up? 100. 200. How much do you do now? So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. One more time. One more time. 11. What do you think of yourself? So, where did you reach the world for 3 months? So, if you're better than yesterday every single day, this much, you become a world champion. Nice. How to kill pain with your brain. Then after doing all this, we have ways of coming to know, because we've got sports psychologists, they've got actual battery of psychological tests.
2:17:59proper battery of tests which they will come to know your stress levels your anxiety levels your this levels by asking you different kind of questions and you marking numbers down these tests are not the tests made by us they're tests made by psychologists all over the world and very very like very very authoritative people who have made those tests for athletes then armed forces when I say comes in CPSS computerized pilot selection system if you want to be a pilot in the Indian Air Force you're given the test once in your life if you feel it you're never going to get it again I have the same machine because the guys who designed it for them are all of our boys so we have that and we use it with my players so their reaction time is according to what a pilot fighter pilot is so they at the same time they are able to come to know there's a light color sound plus and hand eye coordination with the joystick and with the pedals so 1 2 3 four and scanning five and they do that so what am I trying to do am I gonna beat the best no I'm gonna get an advantage of 0.5 % because no kids in the world are doing this even Barcelona is not doing this and I'm doing this why because I have it and why not this is where we Indians are great technology the cheapest people I mean you hit us you will get to the software engineer so this is something which they all all clubs in Europe have the software professionals or the data guys or the scientists or the doctors or the physios are all Indian.
2:19:34They're working in Premier League clubs. All of them. So why are we trying to do that? See, and the ones who are creating the world class athletes are who? Indians there. And the ones who are running the finances are also Indians. The ones running the admin are also Indians. So when you've got that entire structure here, then you use it here. And that is why we've been doing that very consistently. In fact, for example, suppose it's your off day. See, you're tired, we're giving you rest, but I'll give you balloons. So balloons, I'm going to time you now. This is a big balloon. I just time it. And then you have to cut that time down again and again.
2:20:23and how long will you be? So without, I am not working on you. You are on rest because today is your rest day. Who is the rest of the lungs? So on that day, on the off, there's nothing else off day. Then what do they do? Sports psychology on off day. What do they do? They see videos of themselves being analyzed. So there are six cameras which follow them in the field. Not one. I have six. Because I show them exactly what, see, people learn in different ways. Some people learn better by looking at their own mistakes. some people learn better by looking at others some people learn better by listening some by watching some by seeing so we do all the cues so obviously listening watching learning is coming to coaching but watching yourself for example how I speak and how I look I don't know unless I see the mirror and the moment I see the mirror I might be saying I might be looking like an asshole why do you take your mouth so much the same way you don't even know what you look like when you're playing and an AI camera as known as video cameras they follow you so you don't have people sitting there they're automatic cameras which follow you now how much money does it cost trust me it costs less than one foreign striker of yours all these things all these things why do you think I keep on ranting that I'm so pissed off with all these clubs because it's because of them I'm here if they had done their job properly I won't be needing to do this simple we Indians have not done our job properly when we say Indians I mean Indian football clubs whose only responsibility was to build the future and they have just talked about their present that means titles we have won this year tell me what tell me a routine of one player depends on the tournament so this is all let's say the big tournament you are getting ready for all these European clubs so we are okay let me tell you now so like the new dream and the new aim which is even higher than the last one and takes care of the problem is that if they won't win, what will they do?
2:22:22They can't do anything. So in 36, I'll get a medal. Why won't I get a medal? Because it's happening here in the Olympics. If it's happening in India, guaranteed India will make sure their best boys are representing them. And they will make sure that it's our fault. That I know. So in 11-12 years, so born in 2014 and 2015, are the ones in 34-35, who will be 21 and 22. Okay, tell me there. The team that you're getting ready for the Olympics. Now they are going on 7th to the Helsinki Cup and the Gauthier Cup. This is the World Youth Cup in Sweden. This is the first time these boys are ever going abroad.
2:22:58They are, now I'll give you an example. They are sleeping for around 120 minutes on 5 occasions.
2:23:10It's 2 hours 5 hours. This is the whole day. in the morning. Yes. Ronaldo's preparation is do you know your sleep cycle REM sleep cycle sleep cycle is one cycle in 90 minutes. So, in 120 minutes you have to sleep and you have to get up so it's one sleep cycle has to be a human being actually needs one sleep cycle. It's been 200 years when we have to sleep for 8-10 hours for 10 hours. We were on the bed. We used to have one meal a day. And that also if we hunted that day or gathered, hunter and gatherers gathered that day. And where are the trees? Why are you going to fall? And how long do you sleep for 8 hours when you're in the wild?
2:23:56So human bodies have been designed in a way that you can sleep for 90 minutes and you get the entire night thing. But the maximum recovery happens when you're sleeping. Repair happens when you're sleeping. New neurons are made, new cells are made. Everything is done. I understand that. And that's why we do it for 10 hours. that means we sleep for 10 hours but for 5 different occasions because every sleep means you are refreshed and you can work out again so how many sessions do I have for the kids? 4 are they all physical? no if I have a session when I am showing you analysis session is that good?
2:24:30if I am putting you in the pool and it is hydrotherapy that means we do that a lot why? because in hydrotherapy the gravity is not working on your joints and you are not getting tired but you are actually getting the same exercise so it is great so if there's a hydrotherapy session morning gym session evening session and there'll be sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep this food sleep this food sleep this food how many meals five how big small so five training sessions four training sessions five meals five times sleeping now why because when I go to this preparing for the competitions when I go for Gauthier and for Helsinki there are in my pool there are 152 teams from 32 nations okay in my group I have 6 teams there are 40 groups or 30 groups or whatever so before the match pre-quarter knockout 32 quarter and semi-final happen on the same day in the morning afternoon evening I'm preparing for that it happens for everybody all the teams everybody all the tournaments I've won so when I won those four I was in the final of the one travelled the next day next day first match happened in from Helsinki to Sweden first match happened won did the whole thing second last day won the pre quarters quarters semis and final biggest score in the history of football there in Sweden went next day went to the next tournament played the thing one day before the final pre quarter quarter final three matches again the final 14-0 then went to the next one did the same thing reached the final did that why?
2:26:08because I prepared for it. But isn't it exhaustive? Yeah. It is very, very exhaustive and recovery matters the maximum. That is why you've been taught to sleep within five minutes. Are there other teams who do the same thing? No. Why do you think other teams don't win all four? And nobody's won all four ever in the history of world football. The tournaments have been going on for 54 years. The kind of people who played there, Zavi, Ibramovich, Alonzo, David Beckham. I mean, you name the player he's played in those tournaments. and they don't play all four together because of the recovery point so why are you playing isn't it very exhausting then isn't it bad for our players no not at that age you were telling me about Ronaldo right what was the sleeping pattern so sleeping pattern that when he's training he actually so he spends imagine at this age he spends 5 million dollars a year on recovery on recovery man so he has a cryo chamber which is the temperature controlled cold chamber then he's a hyperbaric chamber which oxygen oxygen and even then hypoxia chamber means high altitude that's what happens in this just that more red blood cells are produced then obviously red light which Haaland is doing and all those things and then hydropine this and that he's doing all that plus his sleep plus his nutrition Sunil Chetri is where he is and he is where he is because of all those things he's because he wants to train more and he can train more as long as he takes those naps those naps when they say power naps power naps that means power naps And this is not for the rest of their lives.
2:27:38This is because they are preparing for this tournament. So now when they are doing this, they need to be prepared when they go and do this and they sleep for this. So what are they doing? One match will be done for 2 hours. And then 3-4 hours will be done for 2 hours. But how much does he sleep, Ronaldo? At one stretch he will sleep? No, no. He sleeps. It depends on where he is. If he is playing a season, then he is getting his 10 hours of sleep. Minimum. Number 9 to 10 hours. But when he is not having any matches, he wants to train the maximum and his training sessions are between 90 to 120 minutes plus then followed by rest or sleep or that for that and the same pattern is repeated 3 times 4 times 5 times why because you can actually see you like I said rest train repeat you get the recovery in your body automatically happens when you are sleeping the cells yeah all the repairs so what is it doing a small workout out.
2:28:35A small meal, a small protein, a small sleep. So what he's done is just cut down the day into four parts or five parts and it's very easy for the body to take care of how much repair it is because I've done a few hours, so it's a repair. But for this reason, I can do five hours which I don't normally do. Or six hours or seven hours because it's done like that. But I am doing it because of this. Now why am I doing it like this? Because I'm going to, if they've been through, see the more the more you sweat in training the less you bleed in war of course so you want to sweat or bleed it's your choice it has to look so easy for them but I'm saying why do I want to dominate because inherent biases are there for the Gora as they see that we're going to beat a Gora team they start screwing around I'm being honest they start screwing around how are they going to win how are they going to win and it's not because they want to it's uncognitively bias that they say how can they be beating us and that decision start going.
2:29:33When we beat three, they said, you're too good for us. Then they start doing fair refereeing. The same guy. So it's not that he wants to fix. And we beat them 15-20, 15-20. We scored 290 goals, man, in those four tournaments. 290. We had only eight scored against us. And that's also after Helsinki, we only had the final. So what do I think about that final I lost? Tell me what happened when they were prepared like this in this warrior kind of mindset and they lost the finals. What happened the next morning? What did you tell them? No, not next morning. They have to forget it then. So whatever happened then, it happened in the dressing room then.
2:30:16So what happened? What did you tell them after the loss? If it was the last tournament, if it was the last of the match, I mean, the last tournament of the tour, they were going to get screwed very badly by me. But it wasn't. It was the first. And they had not conceded a goal in the entire tournament. The first goal they considered was in the final. and I knew that we were much better and we didn't play. So if I had been outplayed, it would have been a different reaction. I had not been outplayed. I knew that they lost because they couldn't take the atmosphere. And that was the thing. They've taken it once, now they'll take it again.
2:30:45So I had to deconstruct them and build their confidence up all over. How? Because what the brain remembers is your last match. Okay? Your brain doesn't remember what's happened before. So each boy was shown videos of what they have done in that tournament throughout. how they have been dominating the Ghoras. And that confidence came back. The moment you had that in the first match, second match, third match, fifth match, and then they were taught right there that angry thing came in. And if you, there's another speech there
2:31:18that these guys think that we can't win because we've lost there and these guys think that we're not good enough because of our skin. These guys think that we're going to show them in this. So that anger which had to be produced was that they can't think of those doubts. My child is crazy. They don't get a difference physically. Somebody, for example, the highest Yo-Yo score, which is the intermittent recovery Yo-Yo score, which is also used by our cricketers, for your senior team is Virat Kohli. My under 13s all have a higher Yo-Yo score than Virat Kohli. My 13-year-olds and my 12-year-olds have a higher score than Virat Kohli.
2:31:53And I'm saying it openly for an open challenge. my under 15s are crossing him by far by far they will outrun Virat Kohli or the fittest cricketer in India by far because the qualification for getting into the team 16 point something that is what my under 11s give man I am not kidding see when you have the ball in the football match for 90 minutes you have it only for 2 minutes you don't have it for 90 doesn't matter who you are so what are you doing for 88 minutes yeah and nobody focuses on that they keep on talking about the bloody ball now like I said from a sports being games a science based game an athlete based game if you're not physical and the only way we Indians can dominate is our physical capacity of our lungs we make them so big that we outrun you so was I the best team?
2:32:44no was I the fittest team? yes can you win all matches like that even when you're senior? yes you didn't complete what did you tell them when you lost? nothing that means you're good enough this is an anomaly you just didn't play I said I was going to be angry with you if you had played and you lost and you didn't give effort you didn't play only that's why I know you didn't win because you didn't play you didn't play and then I proved it to them when every boy was analysed that you did what you did in this match in the same situation you did what you did in this match 1, 2, 3, 4 so then they had to be made to believe oh we didn't do this otherwise we are this good so it's all about making this believe see when I'm saying I can make them believe that they are the best in the world by reprogramming them and getting those neurons.
2:33:26It's very easy to deconstruct and make them believe anything you want. You've got kids who are being trained to be suicide bombers. That's how brainwashed they are. Same way, my armed forces boys, I'm the one who's motivating them that go die for people you don't even know at the border. So this is nothing, man. Tell me how to kill fear. What's the reaction of fear? Depends on what kind of fear you're facing. All humans have the same reaction. Either your hands or your hands It's a lot of people who are eating, it's a lot of butterflies in the stomach, sweating, heart rate is a lot, it's a lot of blood, it's a lot of blood, it's a lot of blood.
2:34:01Depending on the front of the head, everything is a lot of blood. It depends on what fear is. So, suppose I make you stand on the edge of a hundred-story building like this. That's like a thousand feet. I don't think I'll be here. Why? What fear is here? It's not a height. It's a height of 7-10 feet. It's a height. I mean I will die from here and die from here. Yes, I will die from the heart attack. Yes, I will die. But if I force you and I make you stand like that every day for one hour for 100 days, on the 100th day will you feel the same amount of fear? No. You know that. So that means you can get over the fear of death.
2:34:37Yes. So what is it? Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain. These are the same things we learn from the problems. They are time tested for time. Because they have been proven right again and again. If they don't, people will say, what is happening? What is happening? And it's proper. So, that's the way. So, no one is asking you to get over the fear of the snake. No. But some people who are shit scared of dogs, they will give the same reaction for a dog or for a cobra. Hi cobra, hi dog. True. It's not a fault, there's no dog on his house. Or the dog didn't cut it twice. If you cut it twice, you know how much pain will happen, it's so hard for you.
2:35:29It is all about, you see, human body is, that in every thing, what you do new things, because your neurons don't form now, you do new things out of your comfort zone. First question, I'll die, I will not die. I will not die. I will not die. I will not die. When you know the body, I will not die. You will get confident. If you stand up in a hundred days, you will fall down there for 10 days, and you will die in the road. But you will go there for 11 days. That's why you don't have anything to do for 100 days. That's why I can do this. So you have to actually face it. and fear is something if you can get over one fear you can get over all other fears in life now by psychologists this is armed forces psych psychologists over 100 years have tested fears and they've come out with the same numbers so Reader's Digest did this survey 140 countries, 40 ,000 respondents 20 % people said biggest fear, fear all phobias claustrophobia, this phobia, that phobia, that phobia 20 % fear of God or fear of 20 % fear of economic financial problems or death or death of somebody who I love 40 % afraid of speaking in front of a group speech need to talk to you've got over the fucking biggest fear bro billion people fucking watch you every year every month what are you talking about you've got over the biggest fear tested by psychologists over 100 years in the armed forces if you can speak that is bigger than courage because you've got over that fear and you can only be a leader if you can command and you can only command if you can speak by looking someone in the eye if I'm saying to you hey dude, Pakistan is here attack
2:37:33so you have to be able to do that give me math Give me math I want numbers Like What does it cost Rupee by rupee To take A child From a village in India Train them for 10 years Feed them House them Educate them Give them coaching Equipment Opportunities Exposure Tournament Everything And prepare them for Olympics level Or a world cup level To make them Win a medal You know People will think It's not a lot probably 75 lakhs per person per person no but for 10 years so 7.5 lakhs per kid per year it's actually 5.5 lakhs but then I'm saying opportunities coaching so 7.5 so 75 lakhs and I can so 75 lakhs so see I knew before these four tournaments before the last time I went out that we're gonna do very well why why I was so confident because I trained my ass off man.
2:38:37I've never worked so hard in my life. And if I knew that I have got all the results I've got in my life by not working that hard and now I've worked this hard, that means the results will come. And I knew that I didn't have money. So people said, how can you do that to your wife's jewelry? It was number one, it was not my jewelry. It was our gold bonds. So she keeps on telling me that you're not paying me. But yes, it was gold. It was gold bonds. And it's still still going down. But if I don't want to, I remember that moment when I was dying. That you didn't get away because you didn't have money.
2:39:13And this time comes back. This time comes back. This training is now ready to go, ready to fire, ready to kill and dominate. For our country, maybe this is the time when someone picks him up a menu for Barcelona. And this will change it. And we haven't gone because we didn't have money. Oh my God. I said, I'll come back to the money. I'll do this. Because I'll never be able to forgive myself. And I can't face these boys that I made them. I mean, I really killed them. So after making them work, I can't go because I don't have the money. So that's what I need. And I was, thank God I did it. Because after what we achieved, it would have been such a shame that we didn't go because we didn't have money.
2:39:54And you went there, we dominated. Now, and see, but the sad part is what? The sad part is when you why do people not do what I'm doing I've done so much I've given so many results I still don't have a sponsor I still don't have government support I still don't have federation support so the rest of the people are watching that they are doing so much they have done they have given this treatment they don't have support so who will give them so what can an average Indian or somebody who's watching this if they want to support what can they do okay so every time we go we take up fundraisers and I don't why do you think I am so confident that I will get there now I am because of last time because last time we were able to raise one CR from crowdfunding from crowdfunding for under 14 kids tournament from people who did not know Minerva who did not know Ranjit Bajaj who didn't know anything why it was an Indian team going to the World Club World Cup Indian team can we put a link here yeah yeah I would please yes I will and you please share it with see who do we need like I said one state was able to change hockey now in the world's top three again one millionaire billionaire one billionaire or by the way we are Minerva is a section eight company we are a non-profit that means I cannot take any money out it's totally audited by the government and NGOs are so it's that means you can even get tax rebates man that means you all companies which have profits of more than 5 CR or revenues of 100 CR have to give CSR that's corporate social responsibility and even that money we get if you know anyone please or just share this link man share this with everyone you can because I am so confident even if the government is not there the fans will get me there the fans can contribute 500 rupees each and that will get you cross a rupee how do you think I did it last time?
2:41:57how do you think exactly what I said all of you imagine if 10 ,000 people give me 1 ,000 rupees and that was what the average we had 11 ,000 donors for 1 crore that means each person was willing to give 1 ,000 rupees who didn't even know me who for a game like football because see the amount of desperation in India for football to do well you think the hope is it means one small hope oh man maybe it will do something imagine Imagine that. No, I mean, I go on to Mila and a lot of people, Mila people told me that we've never seen this. Nobody's able to raise this. Because if Cape Word can do it and Kura Sao can do it, Ranjeet Bidjaj can do it.
2:42:38Simple as that. You've said somewhere where you said you would have been a gangster. Yep. If not the football coach that you are. So, see, when I did my schooling and all, then I went to college. I was in, like I said, DAV college. in Punjab and Jandhika especially there's in student politics there's a lot of fights and fights means college and university kind of fights which are all the fights types of things now they were you know in that fight there was a case register so my parents sent me abroad how long will you die you'll send it here like all parents know you'll send something out and I didn't want to go going out it was the best thing ever because other kids used all my kids used to work in McDonald's I mean all the other ones who were living with me We were 5-6 living in one apartment.
2:43:25And I took up a job in Highbury, which was Arsenal's home, as a security guard on the fence. Because I had just played under-19 for India and gone there. And I went there and I was standing there. And why? Because I was thinking, hey, it's a lot of money. I'm playing a football match in Premier League and I'm getting money for you to sit here. And that thing came a full circle when Arsene Wenger came here in AFF. Had no one to give a presentation on new development. So they had called me. so as I'm saying if you're good enough they will call you so they called me and I told him listen this has come full circle and you are the reason I'm here and I used to be this guard watching you from there he says you were not doing your job properly because you were supposed to be watching the crowd and not the match so but that's so from there and then I used to work with my great love for Gora's I used to work as a bouncer in the night clubs there you have to be a night supervisor that door supervisor where you have to give an exam for seven different subjects starting from police fire and fire this that and that why because I and I don't ring so I'd rather be there and beat up Gora's legally and also be in the football matches and do all that so once I learned when I came back when I came back to my country because that was also and I started working in the corporate world and I've had three four jobs and I used to make me the unhappiest man in the world every day I used to be probably in my 20s earning lakhs a month and I'm talking about early 2000s which is a huge deal but was I happy?
2:45:02No. No matter how much money I earned I wasn't happy. And at the same time I was also came back into student politics at Indianapolis College and at one time there were 27 cases on me in 7 different states. And I didn't have any rape murder.
2:45:23So that means what has happened right now, the society has stamped you. Gangster or criminal or whatever. 99.9 % people believe that stamp and then they follow it. And I believe that today is the first day for the rest of my life. And I'm born today. Today I will be born. Same for you. You're born today. So it's never too late to change. So when the final thing happened when I was in jail for attempt to murder of a high court judge's son. Why? Because my girlfriend, at that time my girlfriend and now she's my wife. At that time my girlfriend, her best friend coming out of school, our alumni sporting, alumni night coming out.
2:46:11And we were coming out at 10. So Punjab made a lot of famous. She said carobar. Carobar means car. Car in the car. bar. So these five, six boys standing out and they passed these comments on these girls and they didn't know I was coming back. So obviously what will I do? I'm going to stand up for my women. And I beat the crap out of them. And then that guy happened to be the son of a judge. And an attempt to murder, case was registered. I mean, attempt to murder was registered if there's injuries on the guy. So there were four of them. There's one of me. What kind of injured? I've got two girls with me, man.
2:46:45But that was wrong. So I knew it was wrong what had happened with me. Then obviously those girls when they came and gave a statement and all the case was taken back. But at that time when I was already in jail I thought to one thing to myself if this incident is going to happen, what will you do? Same. If this incident is going to happen, what will you do? Same. When I do the same thing, then there's nothing to be fighting about. You have to do it again. Now how do you make the best of it? Because you have to suffer you have to be humiliated. Obviously humiliation going to jail, fucking papers everywhere you know my parents being in the service the most you know honest people in the service i've seen and i used that time i thought i thought let's get a little corruption because the whole world was like that and now i know i mean the kind of ethics they gave me and the morals they gave me i'm like who i am otherwise i would have not been this guy so once once that happened inside i said i'm going to climb mount everest because what do you say to them what did you do mount I said, I'll start Mount Everest.
2:47:45Sitting in Ambala jail in front of the same tree where Nathuram God say was hanged. From there at the age of 32. Doing basic mountaineering, advanced mountaineering, doing a 5000 meter mountain, 6000 meter mountain, 7000 going. Trying to attempt Everest but finding the Everest is too expensive. $100 ,000 with your share pass and your trips. with Mount Pomori which is known as daughter of Mount Everest which is right next to it so Everest base camp is used to climb both of them so we were there in expedition 20 Gora's and there were just two Indians and we were there somebody died in some other expedition we could not go up weather went wrong which happens but there there is a lake it's a glacier lake which is frozen 24 hours a day except when the sun is on top now the sun is so strong that if I take this off I will get third degree burns here because the ozone layer is not there.
2:48:41It's six kilometers closer. And the sun is so strong that if you take your snow goggles off, the sun reflects off the snow and burns your cornea. So you go snow blind. You just walk off the mountain because everything is just white. So no one takes a panga there. Why? Because the helicopters cannot fly above 6 ,500 meters, 6 ,000 meters. So no one is going to come and save you. The nearest hospital is four days walk away. So there's a Gora who came there and now he's got a program on Nat Jeev called the Iceman. He swims in the coldest places in the world. Gora came there, swam there for 9-10 seconds making a new world record for the coldest swim, coldest water swim in the highest altitude ever by a human being.
2:49:23That was a year ago. He told me this is what it is. And we could not do that. And I was trying to do Pumori, by the way. Why? Because no Indian had done Pumori and I wanted to be the first one to do it and put the Indian flag there. But that wasn't possible. So I said, okay, let's do this. Now how do I do in swimming? I am like what you do with swimming in a swimming pool. Normal swimmer means nothing specialist, no training. I'm a paddy certified master diver. That means I can do scuba diving. But scuba diving is very easy, man. You get a suit, temperature control, oxygen, everything. First class.
2:49:56Here, you know, you jump in, something goes wrong, nothing will happen. I jumped in just because that Gora did it. So I said, why can't I do it? I did it for not, he did it for nine, I did it for 13. He did it for 11, I did it for 13. A new India book of records, Asia book of records, Limka book of records. That guy went and broke it in 20 different places because that's what he does for a living. I did it because, how do I do it in cold water? I don't want to drink warm water in 45 degrees. I don't want to drink warm water. I'm a normal person. And when I proved myself that you can do this just because this is so strong, that cleared my pathway to achieve the impossible.
2:50:35I said, nothing can stop me now. Look what I've done. And because there your competition is you, man. You had to believe in yourself. Because I believed in myself, I was able to do that. And that cleared the way. Here's my last question. Okay, I ask this to every guest these days. What is one advice nobody should follow?
2:51:00Like nobody should follow. Nobody means Indians. No. One advice that nobody should follow. It's like the horrible advice that people give you and people you should not follow. Play it safe. Like an Andy. Play it safe. Play it safe. Never play it safe. Never play it safe. You are in your comfort zone. You are never going to grow. You are never going to achieve anything. By playing it safe, no one has become a world champion. By playing it safe, no one has achieved anything in life or won a Nobel Prize or become something worth becoming, man. You don't play it safe. You take risks. There's only one life.
2:51:33Egg life. don't never play it safe. You are capable of doing so much more than you can ever believe you can. You are limited by your belief in yourself and the limits you have put for yourself. And by the advice of people. And advice, exactly. Especially, and if it's one advice, don't listen to anyone except yourself. Don't listen to your parents, your relatives, society, don't listen to anyone. The worst thing you can do is take their advice. Because they are not you. only you are you and you know yourself take your advice what you think is the best because you can't lie to yourself you can lie to your parents and you can even try lying to God try you can't lie to yourself fair thank you so much it was a pleasure having you it was really fun oh my god it was such a pleasure because just as a same wives open conversation yes it was really good how many podcasters you must have inspired do you know thousands do you know how many people have been inspired by every person you bring in thousands why because you have to understand that what you do as this is more valuable than what I do I am not trying to suck up to you I don't do that to anyone why or I do or every other guest you bring there do Because they only reach out To their critical audience Like me, football For example, if it's Kihara Anwani For her, whatever fans she has Or if it's suppose Avirat Kohli, it's for his fans Cricket fans You still don't reach out to everyone Now what you do reaches out to every section of society What you are doing Is inspiring each and every person So you're the first That means you're telling people Look, this is the first file.
2:53:31Look, this has done. Look, this has done. Why did you do this? And you are not just saying it. You are using people who have done it to print the message. So what you are doing is awesome.
