And at that moment, my mind is off from the script. And this person is on stage. What will happen? Why are you not saying? And he slaps me so hard that I fall on one side of the stage. That insult means that I didn't have that. Today, the obsession of the people that I will do a cat exam and MBA will do MBA.
1:07I think it's worth it.

2:10You are very shocking.
2:26I was born in 1974 and till 1984 I was in fifth standard In that time this KG nursery was not a lot of time 5th class means 1st to 5th So fifth standard particularly I don't know what happened School was that but teachers changed So our fine arts and dramatics teacher I got I.
3:18Now it's okay that we were killed and the corporal was normal for us which was the case. But now we went to stage and I started to start the kids at about 2.10 minutes. We went to good afternoon to all of you. Those kids are the same. And at that moment, I was all doing everything because I was doing so much for 15 days. And at that moment, the wall was a fuse.
3:48So I had heard the whole mind script And the person was so strict He was on stage I was 10 seconds, 20 seconds And there was a big time for the stage And all the parents And the kids were sitting And everything was so sad And all the people were on stage What happened? Sorry Why are you not saying? I could just look at him I could just look at him
4:26And he slaps me hard And I fall He's a very well built man Mr. Bhatti And he slaps me so hard That I fall on one side of the stage He goes to that side Picks me by the collar Brings me to the center And slaps again I fall on the other side of the stage Batti went And my dad went up to the stage And he was so furious Itna gusse Itna gusse Principal ko ja ke Mujhe batti chahiye abhi ki abhi Main oska sar phoď ke jau ga Bhali mujhe jail ho jai And ye jo paagalpan hua Obviously jail bhi nai Batti ko maara bhi nai But the principal said Sorry the event is called off And we are very sorry parents and sorry get on with your life types I was finished I was coming I was coming I was coming at home so my mother and my I was going to cry I was going to cry I was uncontrolled and I had one sentence that I will never go school I will never go home I was not a teacher I was not a teacher I was a family I was a family so the board exam was in another school so the school didn't go to that school so the exam to do it and they tried to do it very well.
6:12They will see it later. Then they said what? July came and then I said no, I don't want to go school, anything else. And then at home they started training, they started tutoring, they will do it. So my parents had this habit to read. They didn't know what was the beginning of it, I had to do it. They told English, Communication, Reasoning, General Knowledge. aptitude testing type they didn't understand aptitude testing but somehow they think they need to come and come not that I was going to come I was going to go to Olympiad so they did what they did they were working but the rest of the time they used to sit with me and they thought that I was a project now almost like that so reading I got a lot of習慣 my father and mother were both reading his that they had a way to do that that they had such a curiosity in the book and they had to leave it there and they had to leave it there and they had to study it and the night came to the end there was an extra gap that you had to understand what you have to do in the 10-11 years so gap was filled with it so slowly they had a tough book because they had to learn language so they had to do easy books and they had to do tough books in tough books My words are very big problem I never realized...
7:33It's growing I was no longer American I'm just spoken English Okay, I use a lot a lot I have deteriorated When I look at it I go with it Once you look at it I got frustrated I decided to take it to my dictionary and then I will read it without it I will not make Muka interest more real I did not It was in her ways phase 40 like today we are in India we say neck to neck competition that phrase is wrong neck and neck neck to neck for example actual phrase so that means you are wrong that we say comprises of this book comprises of 10 chapters that is wrong actually comprises of comprises of some people are saying I can't cope up with this so it is not cope up with English cope with cope up with it doesn't happen and I tell you How many I can tell you Like pin drop silence Pin drop silence phrase in English It's not there The phrase is It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop I have to teach three words Which I and my audience Which we can use in our day to day Language and then When we say it What a real thing Let me tell you three words Preposterous Nonsensical When you say, what are you doing?
9:29It's a good idea. Preposterous. How do you use it in the sentence? What a preposterous idea. This is a very strong type. It's a strong idea. Preposterous. Preposterous. Not R-E-S, R-O-U-S. Preposterous. Okay, that's one word. If you say nonsense world now, preposterous. When you say in storytelling, which scene starts from a visual or movie, obviously click bait but I have also learned something from Hollywood screen writer that's a chair through the window approach chair through the window a lady sat down and she immediately took the chair from glass window and the movie started there so now it's a hook so action defenestrate throw out of the window defenestrate defenestrate defenestrate he was defenestrated from his job he was defenestrated from his job he was defenestrated from his job defenestrate wow okay and third third is let's say repudiate repudiate reject something which is generally reject okay if someone if you speak a good language you're stupid yeah so twop is a very twerp is a very calm twop because it won't come to understand it will be a work so how do we use it in the sentence?
11:03you are a twop you are a twop but you are stupid you are a twop it has a very pinpointed meaning you can say dunce head that is also one word he will not say that dunce head so yes there are some weird words you read the whole dictionary do you feel same words be different different different different and their meaning different Yes context matters same words are different but there are similar words meaning but what synonyms are replaceable No that's what I'm saying I'm saying similar words are meaning but you can't do that India made a gigantic total not will not go there. Mammoth will go there.
11:55But Gargantuan will not go there. We created a Gargantuan score, the opposition couldn't defend. That's not. So that way I think Mammoth will be, so everywhere you will have that thing. He earns a whopping salary is fine, but he doesn't earn a thumping salary. Thumping majority can be, the Prime Minister won by thumping majority, not whopping. So everywhere there is meaning is completely the same. But that's not the same. Do you think Parents can school home Do you want to do it Or not I can say that it is a lot of personal choice But home school It is not possible to leave it on the house You have to take responsibility That is 8-10 years old Or 6 years old What do you do?
12:42Why do you have a tutor? Because you have a lot of advice We are busy We are busy We are busy We are busy We are busy We are busy So are you there? In a school, it's not that people's personal investment. But they are there for the child for so many years as a team of teachers, as the entire system. You can't leave it just for the money and the tutors. So if you're invested so much, like some stories come from, my mom has been taught me for 10 years, so I'm a doctor. So I'm just doing something. Then I'm just doing it. I'm saying that you have to be a friend, and his coach, his everything will be done so if you have not much time and money and not much time, you can't take off time investment and child's project you have to do it but if you see that the school system is a lot of demerits it can start that you don't teach practical skills not teach, there are a lot of things in it, there are a lot of things useless but what are you getting to be able to do what the system you can give to you that is important and you said that you were home schooled because of that there are social challenges so what are social challenges, what happened college, I'm going to grow up look it's like that from school, there was no world there was no time, there was no time of my law manufacturer so médico was good to try so I want to add a fifth century biology when it comes to allEnt came into the first year the story of math it doesn't proof since independence at this time no one could explain what a better b-com better and our friends would go allensch that picture McQueen value and the theological in India you have a Xavier's which is a lot of crazy work and I see those people are way brighter than many engineers way brighter but it was like that so my dad said that there is a frontier that you can't say now I have to learn math and learn more reading I have not read it I have to read it I have to read it crazy English it has been grammar knowledge it has been because you have to read it but a child is one thing and speaking and speaking is not a stage one person with me so he got me into that one thing is that one day I try to study local coaching classes and study I will study where I am so that I have done and I have a little bit and I have a new salesman job every week there is no money I didn't want to do anything.
15:35I had to do everything in a shop. I had to buy everything in a shop. I had to buy a fridge, TV, even credit card. Pre-internet days, credit card, I had to sign the phone 30 days later. Travelers check, bank in work. I didn't leave anything. And a little bit, because I said, it didn't open enough, it didn't happen. I had 6 months to sell jobs. and zero payment they just go to the shop 7 days you keep it whatever you want you just put it no matter what you want everything you want so that is how it happened and I started teaching some coaching centers because my knowledge is very good so I didn't say it I didn't say it well but I had to get to the student that what to teach I got a lot of appreciation that I got a lot of appreciation and in the first time life in your life in your life you get appreciation but you don't say it so it's good maybe it's a career you can get something you don't think about engineering what is it so teaching but social skills like human to human connection how did that develop how did that happen you didn't have it how did that happen because no I'm just speech but now one your classmate another girl is the opposite gender more difficult so you talk about it you are sitting in a house and you don't know how to do it that didn't come to me I will not say it it was very difficult but I made a theory why does it matter I am born for stage why do I need one on one I am so wrong but for the first even 10-15 years of my career I was an absolute loner why do I have to do this what do I have to do I was a complete wasted failure in that sense.
17:36And my book is, I wrote an Amazon bestseller in 2014. Today's name is Million Dollar Solopreneur. Okay. That what is the need for people? Okay, let's see. Wrong approach. Because you don't get where you are. Teamwork, management, people, people, skills. And all these things I felt bad. Storytelling. What is soft skills? I was a language, I was reading, I was a logic I used to really really look down upon it It's a very dark side of my personality which I have overcome I don't, I believe empathy Why did you see the dark side? Why did you see the low? No, maybe I didn't know how to do it Like a comedian, it's a tragic past for some people I wasn't a comedian, I did it But we say tragedy comes from tragedy is that you have no skill but you still have to know.
18:34So for me, soft skills have only been zero because it's coping mechanism. Hard skills have been very much. Everything has been over. You can study anything from me. Cat can study anything. Everything comes. I believe stories are very very important. But before that, it's like hard. Hard facts. matters that should happen statistics numbers logic pure logic stats pure logic don't bore me with all this this is useless or which is so much more useful that left brain skills is one and after that when you have to explosion you have to get because that job in the IT in three years the technical is after that if you have to become a human so for 30 years you have to so that I developed in the future then I took one course I took one course I took one course I took one course I took one course sales, marketing, seduction, NLP I didn't teach it then I took the line I learned public speaking major things not just go and talk it is about connection it is about soft skills We all see the video We all see the thinking Unnormal And we believe in axiomatic thinking That the world is like this So now we develop How we are standing out We are standing out of the crowd What should we do?
20:12Three-four things you can do I don't say that I want to do it I'm telling you how to do it Read very original content which is not that the book has been so many thousand reviews so that book is good not good not good some authors are unknown these Greeks who are Seneca type of people were known for 50 years or 10 years I don't know my father's father but today's story is where did it come from? read very original stuff some things that have never changed I mean, you just take a management lesson from the book why is it necessary which everyone is doing I mean, there is a disease in India and there is no wrong, I'm not saying that.
20:53But why do you want to make a hundred and first from Bhagavad Gita's management principles? You can take something else. So, read very original stuff and follow people who think like that. If you follow Nassim Nicholas Taleb, if you follow his book, you can't think of normal. He says all things wrong. Black Swan The other world Now there's no content And so many people There's not Harvard Some professor But he's not famous He's not mainstream famous Is Naseem Talib the mainstream famous or not? I like his book Oh absolutely Everything He wrote the book A to Z Iron Rand Fountainhead And his author That was fiction Steve Jobs Steve Jobs's favorite book was the book called Atlas Shratt.
21:46How did Steve Jobs make it? Think of it. It's so radical, so different. You are also the one that is selling Samsung. There is a device. Or Dell. How are you so different? And he comes from reading. Don't experience everything that everybody is experiencing. I'm going to meditation retreat. I'm going to concert. not that those are bad cricket match I will also see IPL because everyone is watching you find yourself that you have what kind of thing and I like talking to some students I think that the story is 30 minutes I say this is an advertisement now talk about 30 minutes I don't listen to the story I listen to the story this is a joke This is a joke, this is a joke, this is a mainstream stuff Now the advertisement is finished, the program is starting Then we delve deeper, then we find the real issues People don't want to find this, who is it?
22:52What is my real issue? There is no curiosity about the world, there is no fear There is a lot of fear, you can sit in 5 minutes If someone's phone, don't you? There are experiments in the world 10 minute phone Stanford's Stanford's Stanford's student he can't keep 10 minutes in front of him he's a Stanford student intellect is in the world but he is mainstream everything is not mainstream fashion trends mainstream fashion trends now someone who brings fashion I always say a line we are so happy to see iPhone think about the joy of the person who created it. Don't think about the job of the person who buys it because buy it is you're giving money and happy.
23:42This philosophy is like, get my money and I'm happy. Steve Jobs, brother, you're giving all my money. I'm happy that I've made it for you because you're giving money. He knows I'll give it. When you're giving me money. But the money is not. So that's the job I think. And you have to find it. You have
24:08So give me one one example One example You said that Why do you learn management Just like this Or do you learn this Or do you do What do you think Which areas are Un-explored Or do you think Which areas are Un-explored Which you think That's the scope You think This area Maybe Maybe teaching point of view Maybe opportunity point of view Maybe expertise Point of view Some people can develop So you think Someone has explored And there are many opportunities Absolutely Brain science And connecting it to Marketing and Behavior and Everything Success So we have brain science Neuro marketing And MRI Neuro Neurology Neuro science And MRI But If someone read brain science Then So, he can be very solid marketer, very solid whatever, communicator, podcaster, because he understands how the world is going to hack.
25:09Finally, which is successful? If I see one line, if I say two words, success means influencing decisions. If you have a decision that I will watch the podcast or not, if it has influenced me, I will watch two hours You are successful What is success I don't want to buy iPhone After going to the showroom I'll take it Credit card max out Use it Influencing decision If there is a marriage I don't talk about wedding Date If there is a startup Investor I don't say it I don't do it Then 5 minutes Investor Influencing decisions But Influencing other people's decision To back then I will go to the stage I have to influence their decisions Either I am selling something Or whatever Or I am teaching them something But people forget There is one more You have to influence Your own decisions first That I will not waste today Today I believe in anyone Whatever it is Whatever it is Today I will read a book and read a hundred pages Today I will read something So where success starts Influencing decision Like I said people say who's decision Meaning dating partner's decision You have to go with me So that is separate That is separate The decision After the world So where was I Brain science If you have hacked it Obama when he won the second election, he had 0 % chance His pictures have been given to neuroscientists for 5-6 months He has had the head of Bluetooth And he understood how to do the campaign Second term he could not have won But the election campaign was the brain science Neuromarketing Evolutionary Neurobiology Like people ask what is the reason of Facebook and Instagram of the success.
27:26So I say the premature birth of human beings. Premature birth of human beings. Why are we social and social? How did we tap on social? So human beings were never born with 9 month pregnancy or gestational maturity. This is an evolution. So when it was 18 months, you would never remember that when a deer can run 5 minutes, run कर सकता है सारे animals को जएदा सधा एक -дो दिन लगते हैं पंची भी तीन - चार दिन बाद थोड़ा बहुत उठने लगते हमें एक साल क्यो लगता है सिर्फ पहला कदम रखने हम भी तो evolutionary tree part is bhandar kid is not a year that is teaching it is why is why is why is that we started being born as species in half the pregnancy time that used to be 18 months and his reason is that when fire came fire not fire is nature when we learned fire taming so before we have cooked food concept in chimpanzee cook and not eat share and cook so we obviously were eating raw food and raw berries, raw wild fruit and raw meat now when we had cooked food controlled use of fire taming the fire is more important than the fire fire has always been there in nature, wild fires so we started gradually obviously as human species cooking now when you can see someone the back portion of the pelvic region is so big all the big animals look at the pelvic region is huge why?
29:12because the intestine size required is huge to turn that raw food finally you can see intestine and look at some animal you can say that it's not so much but we have cooked food So the big intestines Evolution always auto adjust Self correcting mechanism That time Intestine is small Our Now The fire It will be 5 o 'clock People will be sleeping Because nothing is You can sit on bonfire You can sit on fire The day gets lengthened People will be sitting on fire If people are burning fire, you talk, you think, you have to think. So you need a bigger brain because chimpanzee brain say you can't think.
30:06So there are two parallel requirements going on in the body. You need a bigger brain. And smaller intestine. But the intestine, the energy of it, our brain has increased. Because we are three times in the chimp brain. And this is shocking because our chimp and our DNA is almost 99.9993%. percent same so it's so same DNA and you can see that probably this evolved human but human will be we will stay so it's brain one third but the chimp's pelvic region when he stands he understands that so what happens because the brain thinking will grow and you talk so you think thoughts wave expressions so your brain is increasing in size but your pelvic region is decreasing in size now what is the time of child birth brain is the head is the biggest problem which is the biggest problem brain is the head generally is the problem now think about the mothers pelvic region is so and the size of the head is increasing so we started dying in very large numbers mothers started dying while giving birth child anyway started dying if mothers and children both die it would take 30-40 years for us to vanish from the planet at that time life was that short so human species evolution always intervenes to adjust so evolution has done and evolution our pregnancy period it has reduced slowly over maybe lakhs of years so that's 18 months to 9 months When the child is born, the child needs care for a very long time.
32:00We need care for not one year but 20 years. Like, father, pay for two, he's lost, he's been running for 20 years. So care was not in financial aid, no system. So what's that? Now, for a predator animal, what is the easiest target? Kids. Kids and mothers. Pregnant mothers who can't run. Pregnant ladies and children So if we say that the whole hunter-gatherery was So predators would always attack these two Always they can't But by that logic also our population would become zero What will males alone do and how many males will stay So again evolution adjusted And in that there came a theoretical A social contract theory We don't have any proper information But You always hear it takes a village to raise a child or it takes a tribe to raise a child where is it thought that we will not have to save this child but we have to save it so when my child is born all of us together will come and save the child save or raise the child when your child is born all of us once again so it takes a village to raise a child so that way we became extremely social we were not because mother's instinct to save the child Is stronger than even the sexual instinct Mothers If a child is dying Then the mother will do something So that instinct to save the child Made us even more social Because we have to come together We have to form bonds And then when you come together as social beings And we were not social Because animals are not so social Now look at any animal No one will get that Equivalent of killing the dog There is nothing there But some animals are in the same way That is biological Now bees They don't decide They don't decide to be social We have the power Now Amazon will come to my home Why do I talk to anyone Why do I talk to anyone Now we have to be social It is encoded in our DNA over millions of years of evolution Since the time Taming of the fire has been invented Now Mark Zuckerberg You don't know Facebook has struggled a lot in the first 10 years What does that mean?
34:19Facebook revenue was 3.87 billion And profits were none Till 2015 there were a loss making company So what happened in 10 years? Instagram recently they had bought it That's why it's something Zuckerberg has left it You've never seen it Year of Books And he has 23 books in that whole year The second book that he read was Gang Leader for a Day by Sudhir Venkatesh who is a professor of psychology at Columbia University Mark got so excited reading halfway through the book you're dumping the book Mark called this guy you are a prof I don't care this is Freakonomics sorry it comes to his reference I have forgotten Freakonomics is a very famous book it comes to his reference Gang Leader for a Day and Mark said boss I want you at Facebook tell me your price now prof what is it?
35:12100 ,000 dollar 200 ,000 dollar You tell the price We don't care I want you at Facebook When you saw the first time When you saw the first time It accepted the offer And Facebook was 7-8 years Then it didn't leave The first time He told us That human beings are social You are running social media But you know why social is social He told us that Google 10 attempts on social and for some reason today, Google Dio any other thing, Google chat, hangout Google Aaloo Plus everything has failed so he said, Google is a company which is a very big and so profitable company why has it failed at social media so many times and why are you failing because you are not tapping into this extremely emotional desire to be social and you make social When you tell stories, it's visual.
36:11In storytelling, some people make a story like that. You look like I was there. That's why Instagram will only make a visual medium. Don't make text medium. Allow people to share. But we don't have money. Where do cloud storage line? Do anything. Pictures and videos. Text To Facebook Used to Be A lot Of Text Barely Any Pictures Could Be Put In Net Slow He Said Do Whatever The World Is Turning Very Highly Broadband Right Now And Tap Into This Huge Emotion Of People Wanting To Express People Wanting To Share Because Three Words Social Sharing And Stories We Are Social What Do Share Share Share Share Share Share Story Stories In the media Visual So He Has This Change After They Took Off Insta Was Not Popular For One Year At All So The Premature Birth Is Responsible For The Success Of Facebook The Need For Social Interaction Is The Reason Why There companies like Facebook that existed.
37:34Exactly. So everything that is sticky that will have to be connect the dots and stories are the best medium to connect. Nice. So brain science is one. Brain science, if someone wants to study this podcast and someone will get inspiration today, I will become an expert and I will connect to any field of it. So which book should be read? Neuromarketing is a very good book. It's a starting book. After that, Sales Seduction, Sales seduction Sales seduction Okay because it is a seduction by Robert Green Yes that is That is the same In that brain science Psychology and sociology Then there are some TED talks After that you will get a huge list To follow after that But brain science has applied to winning in life Brain science is not That I am a doctor To win in life Brain science is one frontier that is something that has not been explored to the level it should have been explored.
38:35Tell me about public speaking. I tell you three principles or three hacks, how can someone become a better public speaker? I mean, this hack is proper. I keep the language away, because it's not a language. Language? No, for some people, public speaking is like, I'm a German, so what does it change in Germany? Some people believe language and English. I keep it separate English is a language Public speaking is a language So I talk about this language I think I always believe in Finding a common struggle So the most Public speaking It's not like Don't tell your achievements Tell your struggles Have you also faced a public insult If I start like this Or have you also lost In sports or have a salesman have you failed at have you failed at a deal or at a sale immediately open ہو گئی and I mean I am still there and that is the most common ground common struggle and if there are thousands of people then thousands of people if I ask you do you want to earn more money you will feel salesy motivational buy have you ever struggled at least for a month when you thought you could make this much money but you couldn't or like sometimes you're broke and you're like really struggling common ground common struggle not common ground so that's it the other thing is the same model of the struggle will reach your life when you start telling you that I wasn't special I was like that struggle to submit and summit means that you can't get from that after that there's a sage you can get a person a movie a book a quotation that gives your solution never be the problem solver of your own story never means you didn't go from the encyclopedia truck when you were in you didn't figure out struggle that sage gives you a solution And that solution stays as a seed in your life Seed is a line That no, this is important or not Whatever Never sell the future Always sell the future Let's say Whatever, in one line So basically it is Struggle Reaching summit Finding a sage Giving you a solution Living with the seed always So this is a 5S model of storytelling So if you have done this in 5-10 minutes before, then you say today I want to teach you investing, today I want to talk about something else, I want to talk about world affairs, it's okay.
41:33But don't find common ground that you don't like the truth, that is not common ground, common from the heart. Negative emotions touched. Yes, very much. And it doesn't happen like that the people don't have to do it with the new names. with you. You have to find that question and such a common feeling and emotion. So I think this is the rest of it. Then you attach it. Then the skill is that people see theater. It can be seen. You create my drawing room 4 bookshelves so you can see my drawing room. You can create speech dialogues inside. When you tell the story of the story, the whole dialogues are on your own.
42:09So simple storytelling, public speaking is a lot of principles. But if I always have to give a speech in one minute, and I don't have to tell myself, so how I put it, the easiest way to public speaking is, and public, I always have to give a speech, the most easy principle is, attack, down, down, up, absolutely, the most easy way is, the most easy way is, first of all, you attack yourself, or at a principle, or at a ground level, where everyone connects, I think, I'm feeling like this, here I have to say, Something Chair out of the window At a moment Attack Then what was my down moment Then my down And down It was a pathetic moment Struggle Summits Struggle That one You have heard That this story Up And down So that people Are not expecting People Because one Down People expect So you Go up And then You go up And it's done I would say Try a summit Storytelling system summit 3 3 mountain 1 try summit storytelling system my visual is that I really connected once again that it won't happen and the audience comes a lot when you reach rock bottom and you get up from that and it's also emotions so I think when you attack when you're all laugh then you're down and you're down and you're down and you're down and you're emotions with the conversations that brother here because there are many speakers that are good too like look at you look at Shah Rukh Khan or Bill Gates or anyone whoever who are talking about that at that moment it's not done with you but they imagine that this would never happen so they give you fear of loss that brother this is your everyone thinks I don't know how to do it and that moment is 100 % And I do that Obviously I have a lot of emotions I don't believe When I go Life turns around So everywhere Whatever story I read In all the principles Encoded But now I'm going to the formula I don't want to teach anyone I can teach anyone But yes That's so bad So bad So bad So bad So bad Who do you think The best Public speaker Who is your according Who is only watching master class Hitler Why You have always said his German All German videos Hitler One person Who has their nation People against People against Jews They are brothers Germans They have to kill To get to genocide And and people arms take it.
45:13It was not necessary. The Führer said that it was not necessary. This level of the level can say that German pride is necessary to die. And we have to camp this thing. If I am a leader and if I am a loyalty last for 4 people in the team. Steve Jobs was another. Very very very powerful. Unbelievable. initial part for let's say a few years of Narendra Modi Barack Obama is an accomplished Polish speaker but he's not at all in the leagues of this but I don't think Hitler or Steve Jobs beyond something so solid and Hitler's meaning what did he do? He didn't have a jihad leader that saw terrorists going to the whole country of the people who were and those who were your friends who were your brothers Dressے ہیں On لوگوں کو Apenny gas chamber Mejaa ke Marwaa dya Or us ke words Nahin to Kharwaaya Sab kuch Wohh jub bolta Tha uske videos Aap dekhna German mein Lekin Aap ko lage Gair My life Me kuch For do Gunga Aaj sa Mطلب Jibki Aap se Koi connection I've used that For a positive I'm not Praising Hitler At all Mطلب Nobody in the world Should and can But Wohi Skill Skill of public Speaking Ha na Agar abus ko Kishi positive Now people are NGOs, fund raise, they are dying in Africa, they are not getting paid, because no one wants to listen to it.
46:45But if I do Hitler's public speaking, people will open their hearts and wallets, then I am the darkest person in history, who we know in recent history, who doesn't have dark.
47:22Talking about convincing skills in the world people are convinced that they should do MBA they should be convinced and they should go to IIM Harvard, Stanford they should be convinced they want to do this in a way today they should be very big value in a lot of people's eyes now you had also selected in IIM Harvard but you rejected so why are you not convinced you do it and you prepare it absolutely one thing happens I have heard those who can do those who can't teach and then there is a new those who can't coach or consult McKinsey can apply to anywhere else this is a fun thing but when I saw my life of so traumatic period but I felt the joy in studying.
48:25So I was taught as a child in 11-12. I was taught math and physics. Because I was not coming. In engineering first year, I was coming. What was coming? And I got the joy in the most important. When I was a very imperfect teacher, in the sense of not subject matter expert. But teaching didn't come. I didn't come. I didn't come. I didn't come. But I thought, that I didn't do anything. This was after first years drop Drop year But I did not find That I will study this subject Or anything But when I started Cat's syllabus Everything Was exactly what I had done For 7 years without realizing Reading, reading comprehension Language, vocabulary Grammar Everything comes And math, everything I became like 5 % I could solve 95 % 5 % was still a challenge So gamification When you don't do it I thought I got a field That it's been Teacher It's good It's good I am I am I am I am That was my Very strong thing That I got I got it.

49:47So after that, the tags have been never been given. Yes, I mean, everything is okay. But if people want to go, then what do I need? I need it. I need it. I need it. I need it. I need it. I had a call. I had a call. I had a final interview. Now I'm going to go. I don't want to go. Am I capable of teaching you for the cat? Teaching you for the group discussion interview? I am. Because I have done the highest.
50:29I can just teach them for 12 hours something outstanding so when he got product too, passion was and he understood that there was no purpose to change lives I just wanted to teach that's it, I didn't care that my teachings would change their life I will brag about this neither in the mind of money but product got product means that you will do it teach you so you got two things Mil gai, paisa to Jhaadu lagata sadak pe ho bhi kamaata He kuch to kamaata he To paisa to kama hi lo gaya Software engineer bhi paisa kamaata hai To cat trainer to kama hi saktta hai India mein to bar wo Borre mein kama saktta hai Maise halat But wo kabhi driver ni tha But one thing I did not have Was purpose I did not wake up in the morning To send someone to I.M.
51:39Ahmedabad or Harvard And change their life in the initial years I just wanted to stand on stage And blow their minds Okay I mean blow their minds Was the end of the goal But that changed slowly And then the realization That you can't do this And why do I do When you have money Then you feel like What do you have to do next day So that happened a little later Very clearly But when I found that Then the journey sustained for so long 29 years You have been doing it And now you are doing it They do a lot of things But core work So it doesn't sustain So you had that purpose engine later So money I earned a lot Compared to normal standards So I was like a very rich person Very soon And it was not even once My driver came And I had to be a teacher I had to be a teacher And I had to be a mind blow But why did you reject it?
52:36Why did you study it? So what will you do for 2 years? what do you need to get the tags? You just wanted to study I have to study I actually joined some days I am just sharing that with you but not for any other reason but it was that MBA after that teacher, let's do MBA and become teacher no example was not our time but I said let's do it what problem is so I joined and I realized after 2-3 days that this class assignment or quiz or case study and this is not bad. It's not bad. It's not bad. I thought that my aim is in life after 2 years, there is no resonance. If I want a tag, I will say, I am drop out teaching you for a cat.
53:21Big deal, tag is gone. So I somehow just did not. But why did Harvard reject you? So Harvard has happened that when I was growing up, we grew up with the dream of Harvard only. There was only one dream in the world because Harvard business review at home magazine and that was a little bit of India so I was kind of ready so in 1995 I was in my final year of engineering and at that time I wrote CAD and GMAT and if I was doing computer science engineering then I wrote GRE so in GMAT I got 800 scores and I had so many internships I had so many jobs I had a very solid resume You will be very surprised that in Harvard 1996 was the first year When they changed the rules Without work-ex we will not accept you You have to have work-ex And this rule changed the application deadline One month before the application deadline So in August you submit Because I am a fresher can go here No, I can go absolutely So that's when I was in South So in 1995, I'm studying my 7th semester And in 7th semester, I'm going to submit an application So until July, I'm going to submit my GMAART application So my application is ready I thought that's what will be the best application I have the best score And the resume is very solid And I applied Little did I know That just one month back The rules had changed That you had to have two years of work And I had no idea I mean in ignorance apply and there was no internet, there was no email we had to send the application also by physical mail and that Harvard business review came in 2-3 months and that was when it came back so I thought if I don't have Harvard then I don't have anyone I mean that arrogance was going on and that was not the rule so there was a reason if there was a selection in an interview so there was a trainer in India and that was a trainer in that time I said if I had a call, at least I need to know that my parents sent me that I would get it If I get an appointment for 45 minutes, I would get my application Did you send this?
55:51Where did you send this?
Sorry, you do not have work experience That day you could have totally knocked me out with a straw मतलब You could just एक feather से कि बस बंदा लेट जाए कुछ नहीं So that was the dream and then the second best thing was cat It was a good thing, so IMA was the thing But at that time, it was understood that I was a teacher But Harvard would have been my dream to study also That case method and that and that was the case But that didn't happen So after that, when I have work-ex I have a good entrepreneurship I have a part-time job offer I have a consultant in BCG I did not even know
Bombay edition
I never advocated that you have to study for years together and you'll fail and this it doesn't mean everybody got into IIMS but many many students got into some of the really good schools abroad कही ना कही तो होई गया और नहीं तो lower rank जो MBA है start तो ऐसी हुआ but that was the compare Harvard MBA, IAM MBA कौन सा better, IV league MBA और Indian MBA top colleges अगर आपको compare करना हो तो अज तो curriculum तो almost same है, एकदम ही same है क्योंकि वो पूरा का पूरा ही उठा लेते है और जैसे ISB है, उसका partner
CAD was the only thing, उसके बाद interview was another rejection, वो लोग जब select करते हैं, एक undergrad लेवल पे भी और graduate लेवल पे भी, it is GMAT or GRE is one of the components, but there is a lot more, the way you express yourself in statement of purpose, the way you write your resume, the way you get your recommendations, the work you do, extracurriculars, fund raise, हजार चीज़ है, start-up तो sports इसमें सब कुछ matter करता है उनके लिए and they take a person who has failed a lot they don't take a person who has only succeeded always a 10-pointer sorry, we don't want you we don't want you, मतलब नहीं चाहिए तो fail कहा होगे आप, अगर academically fail नहीं होगे तो कहा हो आप sports field पे fail हो सकते हो आप fundraising में, तो हर student America में वो कोई political campaign कर रहा है, fund raise कर रहा है कोई charity mission कुछ कर रहा है कोई health drive में involved है कुछ ना कुछ वो on ground 10 चीज़ें होती है and they want to see and there is a major question tell us about your failure, what you learned from and कोई ना कोई तरीके से आई जाता है कोई ना कोई तरीके यहाँ पैसा कोई सी ही नहीं, essays होते ही नहीं कुछ, statement of purpose अभी शुरू हो है, तो you're taking very different people, the curriculum is the same, but intake अग होगा, तो किला, हाँ, तो that is one, second, if you want to succeed in India, today, IMS and ISB are very good bets, आपको अगर लेकिन global CEO बनना, इसी के ambition है कि मुझे next Satya Nadelaya, Sundar Pichai बनना है, तो वो लोगों ने इंडिया से Tech Education किया, IIT से किया, किसी ने MIT मनिपाल से किया, लेकिन उसके बाद उन्होंने MBA किया, proper दो साल का, पांच साल बाद, जॉब फचोड के, लोन लेके, GMAT दे, One of them went to Wharton, One went to Booth, Sundar Pichai is from Wharton, and Satya Nidala is from Booth, And they attribute, Chicago, Chicago, They attribute their success to their business education a lot, बहुत जबहों पर बोला है उन्होंने बहुत सारे तो जो ये है कि आपको वहाँ जाके अगर कुछ करना यूँ ओन भी कि मैं फॉर्चुन हंड्रिट सी यो लेट से होते हैं इंडिया के बने हैं लोग तो आप I.M.
ROI is always long term 15-20 then the growth is way way higher in MBAs abroad but which is not to say India MBA No, that should not be a dream.
No MBA is an entitlement No degree is an entitlement 10 % लोगे Harvard से भी जॉब नहीं लगती यह गारेंटी और मैं दब से सुन रहा हूं और IMA की भी नहीं लगती, ISB की भी नहीं लगती, 10 % की, अभी जैसे सुना कि 23 % people did not get placement from Harvard, अभी recently news थे, इसका मतलब मैं इसको ऐसे देखता है नहीं, मैं सोचता हूँ, मैं अगर जाता, तो क्या मैं bottom 23 पे belong करता, मैं तो नहीं करना चाहता है, फिर तो मैं नहीं जा रहा कहीं प तो है थोड़ा सा बट क्यों नहीं लगती इतने top colleges के बाद भी entitlement का feeling आ जाता है लोगों को कि अब तो होई वहाँ जाके आपको daily इतना effort लगाना पड़ता है इतना सारा pitching yourself to all unknown employers because to those employers Harvard is not unique आप कर रहे हो आपके जैसे हर batchment आपका पांच ही लोगों को करेगा, मैकिन्जी करेगा यह यह पांच फंड्स हैं, पांच बैंक्स हैं जो भी है तो मतलब you being from Harvard is no big deal for them that's the entire firm is of Harvard suits का जो कोई Harvard के लाव है ही नहीं अब तुम बोलो मैं Harvard जो हम तो भला रहे तुझाए जाए सारे यहां तो यह इतनी चलता ना तो यह फ्टो डेली कौंसे कॉफी डेट बोलते हैं हर अन्नोन इंटर्व्यू करो रोज रोज रोज रोज रोज रोज नेट्वरकिंग कर अलब आपको लाइफ के लिए तैयार तो कर देते हैं बहुत सॉलिड तरीक है से तुझो यह नहीं You do all the fielding yourself.
1:11:32You do all of that. आप आठ हफते में किसी organization में बहुत बड़ा strategic change रो लाई सकते हैं, operational ना भी लापाओ. finish नहीं करो start तो कर सकते है तो वो हट हफते भी आपकी visibility बहुत strong है इस सिर्फ idea देने वाले लोग को कोई नहीं पसंद करते है get things done, don't tell me this is wrong, fix it don't tell me anything, मतलब मुझे suggestion मत दो मैं जानता हूं, यह जो CEO's का सबसे बड़ी बिमारी है जो लोग आके बड़ी बड़ी बाते करते है It's the biggest turn off to any top manager एक 10 मेरे को पता है 10 गलती हैं मेरी company में तो एक उठा और एक महिने में पूरी own up करके fix कर Get shit done That's it वो नहीं होता तो फिर आप नहीं करता है तो फिर 10 % लोग होते हैं थोड़े से relax type कि ठीक है कुछ लोग तो entitlement में जाते भी इसलिए कि घर में tradition है कि पैसा बहुत है और उस तरह का भी होता है अब ROI की बात बदा रहे थे कि अगर पॉने दो करोड रुपर खर्चा करें किसी ने तो अगर मैं अगर मैं ये relaxed crowd हटा दूँ तो for most of the people because you have to live also you have to pay taxes also तो बड़ी salary दिखती है, धाई लाग डॉलर सब को मिलती नहीं, median is 1.8, 180, 190, मान लो किसी के 1.8, 100 ,000 डॉलर की जाप लग गए, या 200 ,000, 200 ,000 में पहले तो 60 ,000 आपने दे दिये सरकार को, बगएर आपके दर्शन भी नहीं हो रहे हैं, उसके बाद living costs और बहुत सारे expenses होंगे कहीं पर आप नई जगे जाओगे न्यू यॉक में रहना कोई आसान नहीं कोई बड़ी जगे रहना वैली में रहना बॉस्टन में रहना कोई छोटा मटा काम नहीं तो उसके बाद जो आपको बचे गा है तो दो हजार, sorry, दो लाग डॉलर का कोर्स और दो डॉलर की सैलरी भी पांच साल में ही पेप करवा पाएगी टैक्सेशन भी है, इंटरेस रेट में फिर आपको यह डरे किया वीजा में पर्मनेंट वीजा है तो उसके अलग है टेंशन बट ओवर दो लाग
1:16:11हाँ, नहीं होता, skill पे, performance पे, क्यों skill अगर बहुत अच्छी हो, जैसे top companies आप होड की they are hiring because of skills, they are hiring MBAs because of skills also, they are not hiring because of skills, अगर आप Google में हो, या Facebook में हो, या जो new tech companies हैं, इन में थोड़ी आपको सिर्फ अमेज़न बिजनेस रोल नहीं मिलेगा फिर आपको अमेज़न कितने MBAs हाइर करता है Google, Facebook कितने MBAs हाइर करता है बट इसमें अगर आप non MBA और 4U skills है आपके ऐस कुछ new way skills है तो आप नहीं आगे बढ़ सकते You will not become part of business and what drives your salary is eventually contributing to business growth not your product growth but let me give you an example let's say growth marketing is a very lucrative role so that's a business role technically so if you have a growth market and your skills that's a growth marketing that's very smart and you join a big deal and you will not be decision making the problem is what is my ambition I want to make a decision I always give an example that you don't have a good It's not about them He has the power to decide the fate in some way of 400 करोड पीपल और वो MBA के बाद यहाएगा यह non MBA लोग नहीं पहुच सकते उस लेवल पर Decision making मिलते नहीं है Unfortunate, C.A.S.
C.A.C.F.A. फुल करके आते हैं I.A.T. I don't think you can be part of that think tank I have friends जो बड़े -बड़े start-up तलाते हैं India में multi-billion dollar companies बहुत सारे Fadoo start-ups हैं अब India top 10 top 20 हैं and I speak to them on the same topic वो लोग तो hire करते हैं और काफी strategic position पे भी रखा है वो करते हैं वो पर start-ups है मैंने world use किया corporate particularly कई लोग के ambition होती है कि tag जो बड़ा होता है बड़ा start-up भी अगर कोई 10 ,000 कोर्ड की valuation है, 50 कोर्ड 20 ,000 कोर्ड की valuation तो बड़ा है तो बड़ा है ना उच्छोटा थोड़ी है कितने हैं, और सारी average लोग है, मतलब mediocrity तो reign supreme in our country मतलब 95 % engineers math से struggle करते हैं, तो खायदक है तुम नगीजिनिर अपर मेरे कहल से जो corporate में भी पहुचेगा और MBA करके वो भी फाड़ू ही होगा, माना मैं नहीं तो मलब normal इन्सान पहले तो I.M.
से top of the class नियोगा top of the class से top of the company नियागा top of the company में इता बड़िया promotion नियुमिलेगा तो वो भी exception है कि वो if it's a startup, there is no need for an MBA, I told you very beginning आप topmost भी आप chief of staff या EA भी बन सकते आप खुद founders नहीं होते हैं founders तो होते हैं न Elon Musk ने कौन सी MBA की Steve Jobs, Bill Gates ने कौन सी इन्या में कितने लोगे जिन्हों नो पुछ नहीं है कोई नहीं किया, बिलकुल 100 % बात सही है बट आप उसको या तो start-up में उस team में आप का part बनो जो बहुती core team पांच छे साथ लोग की उस लेवल पर कित पांच छे साथ ही होंगे न अगर मान लो आप स्टार्टप में पंदरा सो या पंदरा हजार लोग होगे तो आप नहीं हो कोर और आप डिसिशन मेंकिंग तो आठ लोग ही करेंगे इवन आफ्टर 20 एस 15 एस मतलब आप Flipkart में हैं, कोई हर कोई decision making नहीं कर रहा है,
I.M. A.B.C. I think the lowest level of success possibility leads to the highest ambition Do you think it's worth it?
1:23:09Not necessarily, I will not say Do you think it's worth? It is, see, it depends on how you look at it Do you think it's worth it for a very talented person who wants to do something very different? No, but how many people want to?
1:24:34तो ये नॉलेज है पर उसको हाइर कॉन करेगा अगर रूल ही है कि मैकिनजी का सेकंड प्लेस्मेंट नहीं होगा और उसको काम ही मैकिन्जी में करना है और कभी उसका dream है शायद मैं कभी partner बन जाऊँ शायद तो कैसे बनेगा ना वो problem वा है कि उसकी ambition गलत है फिर उसको big four में क्यों काम करना है मत कर वही तो मैं आपको एक exclusive membership club का membership चाहिए exclusive member club का आपको membership चाहिए and वहाँ पे entry is the degree absolutely वो problem है और वो membership is the right thing to do I can't debate वो जो हर किसी कर to each their own हाँ to each their own because मैं क्या कर सकता हूँ tell me MBA is about business right understanding दुनिया में business कैसे चलता है और उसको बड़ा कैसे बनाते है MBA to the world is not business education MBA is a passport to good life
I love this line.
1:28:26क्योंकि मैं अगर किसी को sports person बनना है, तो at least as a trainer coach, बहुँ पेरेंट्स जो करते हैं, वो तो murder of ambition, वो बहुत बार होता है, वो normal family में, but who am I as an external entity to that person's world? True, I won't use this line going forward, I would still be a little biased मैं थोड़ा बोलूँगा कि there are easier ways to do it but I think अगर ambition है तो do it मैं खुद कह रहा हूँ I'm not a proponent of that education alone अब बहुत तरह से दुनिया में बहुत कुछ कर से दुनिया में If किसी को MBA करना है क्योंकि उसे लगता है कि life में और कोई तरीका नहीं पैसे बनाने का तो that's wrong अगर किसी को ऐसा लगता है कि मुझे MBA करना है क्योंकि मैं बहुत business सीख जाओंगा उसके लाओ कोई तरीका नहीं तो that's very wrong बढ़करीथी को MBA करना है कि उसके बाद जो life मिलती हो जिस जगे पर इसको entry चाहिए वो उसका ambition ही वो है and उनी clubs और उनी companies में गाम करना है उनी के साथ रहना है 100 % yes so I liked this answer मेरको मैं summarize कर रहा हूं answer but I loved it मज़ा है मुझे सुनके because it's true this is the this is how it should be क्योंकि अगर आप देखो, जो मैं करता हूँ बिल्कुल इलोजिकल है मालब as लॉजिक वे में किसी को तुम बोलो founder बनना है तो stats are बिल्कुली zero to none chances है तुमारे कि तुम गभी एक अच्छे founder बनना है पैसे कमा पाऊगे तो इतने गमा पाऊगे कि तुम घर पे लिजा पाऊगे और घरवा लोगी लाइफ अपग्रेड कर पाऊगे ताइस अल्टिमेट गोल राइट शर्वाइफ तुम भी गर लोगे बट कहा तुम थ्राइफ करोगे, that's a question तो इसके लिए क्या तुम्हें फाउंडर बनना चाहिए?
Same goes with MBA, same goes with Creator, same goes with C.A., C.F.A., everything So you need to choose your ambition तो पक्की बात है, बाकी तो अर बाकी तो अर बाकी तो choose करेंगे, if I can enable it because of my skill, because of my journey, I am there, बातो, कोई sports coach है, उसको बोले कि यार तु क्यों नहीं बोलता कि sports person मत बने, यार तु वो sports person बनना चाहता है, मैं sports coach हूँ, मैं यह नहीं बोल रहा है तु बन, मैं किसी को जो सो रहा है तो जगा के नहीं बोल रहा है बट किसी को बनना है I'm the right person to do that that's all yeah perfect thank you so much sir बहुत मजाया बात करिया अशे मतलब पता ही नी चला कितने गंटे ओगर काँ टाम चला गया वही ना total lost in the conversation presence but I genuinely loved it मैं को बहुत सारी चीज़ सीखने मिली I hate this the most त至क्त like, बढ भार नहीं है इए..
1:31:10इसा टी क्या शोच न थो है आतरोगिण, है I can remind क्याि है new clayare naat democrat टीछ class एंट सोर्य वीडरियोंड मन्य व्ल आफ इंपते।

In today’s episode, Mr Sandeep Gupta, Founder of TopOnePercent and Asia’s leading GMAT trainer, the man who cracked both Harvard and IIM Ahmedabad but chose to build his path instead dives into his journey from being homeschooled after a childhood trauma to mentoring thousands of students into top B-schools globally.
We talk about what truly sets people apart today, how brain science plays a role in marketing and decision-making, and the real reason most people don’t build extraordinary careers. He also shared why Ivy League MBAs aren’t always what they seem.
