In short

“Rich people sh*t” (what feels like wealth to the host, from childhood “tells” to adult “tells”), framed as a joke about privilege and imposter syndrome.

Guest backgrounds

No guests are featured; the host, Sam, talks solo as “Sam and my sister’s diary.”

Key claims

Matching appliances, name-brand pantry items, houses with stairs, ice-maker fridges, guest bedrooms, multiple sheet sets, heated steering wheels/seats, expensive vacuums (Dyson), garages (especially with a fridge/freezer), and car tech (DVD/headrest screens, automatic windows) all “signal” being rich.

Notable examples

The host’s own “rich” moment after getting a matching washer/dryer (and fixing an ugly basement laundry setup). Childhood memories of ice from an ice-maker fridge, mason jar cups, and Disney Channel. A car with built-in DVD player and wireless headphones made her feel like she “won the lottery.”

00Hi, everybody. I'm Sam and this is my sister's diary.

14Hello, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of My Sister's Diary. I'm your host, Sam, and I hope everyone's having a great summer. I am having a really good summer. We've been really busy, and I'm a little tired. I'm a little tired, I won't lie, but my kids are having a blast. And you know what? That makes me have a blast. So I'm fine with being tired. I'll be tired all summer long if it means my kids are having a great summer. So we have a family reunion coming up this weekend and I'm really excited. We had one like two weekends ago and it's really fun. And there's just something about the summer and getting together with your family and just having fun you know it's just it fuels my soul feels fills fills my soul no I don't know it it makes me happy okay and it just brings back like nostalgia and I am such a sucker for nostalgia sometimes I get stuck in it actually and it's not good but summer I just want to make my kids summers magical and special and something that they will look back on fondly so that's what I'm really trying to do this summer and I feel like we've been we've been having a good one so far.

24Let's let me tell you guys really quick what we're talking about this episode. We are talking about cover your kids ears for just a minute because I'm about to say some swear words and not in a bad way. But, you know, some people don't like their kids in your swear words. So I'm giving you a warning right now. We're talking about rich people shit. So that is, you know, when you were a kid and you you saw something in someone's house or on a TV show or whatever, and you're like that right there, that tells me that those people are freaking rich. Like when you walk into a house and it smells like a nice candle or something like that.

02It smells like Febreze. You're like, these people are rich. Like if it smells good in here, I know that you're rich. Or if you have like potpourri, I don't know how to say it. Potpourri sounds absolutely wrong. So I'm going to say potpourri on like your toilet, you know, you are rich. That's there's just no other explanation for that. The thing that inspired this episode, actually, let me let me rewind just a little bit back to the swear words. I'm probably not going to say rich people shit the entire episode because I know some of you guys listen with your kids in the car and I want to be respectful of that.

33I don't know everyone's parenting style out there, but I know there's there's some parents that, you know, don't like to teach their kids swear words and I want to respect you. So I won't say it the whole entire episode. I'll probably say rich people stuff or something like that. I'll do my best. I'll do my best to not say shit too much. But I'm making no promises. That is a very low level swear word in my book. So I don't know, you know, it doesn't it doesn't feel that wrong for me to say it. But I do respect you guys who don't want to hear it. So all right or don't let your kids do you know what I mean uh the thing that inspired me to do this episode was I told you guys last no not last week last week I re-released an episode from Call Your Sisters which is my one of my absolutely favorite one of my oh my gosh I am stupid today I can't talk one of my absolute favorite episodes that we ever did it's so funny and I'll probably I should do have I done a cringe episode I can't even remember we did call your sisters for so long I mean it wasn't how long it was like a year and a half but it felt like it felt like a really long time and we did a lot of episodes and I get confused on which ones I've done on here and which ones we did on call your sisters so anyway uh the week before that I told you guys about our washing machine breaking down and you know I wasn't really that sad about it.

55Like I was, I was bummed because it just kind of sucked to have to get a new one. But at the same time, we got that washing machine legitimately almost 10 years ago when we got married and we got it from a family member and they gave it to us for free and it was well used when we got it. And, you know, the last little while it's kind of had a weird smell to it. Like I don't feel like it cleaned our clothes very well. And it just is kind of gross. It's kind of giving me the ick. So when it broke, I was like, Oh my gosh, that's so sad. We're going to have to buy a new one. Like, Oh, I'm really sad.

31You know, I wasn't actually that sad. I was just, I was just bothered by the inconvenience of it, but I was okay with moving on from that washing machine. And we looked around a little bit. We were hoping to like, um, take advantage of fourth of July sale or something with appliances. And then we got lucky and we're like, wow, this costs more than$100. And that's all we have. So let's, let's look on Facebook marketplace, which I really, really did not want to do. Because nothing's worse than buying something like that on Facebook marketplace. Because you're like, you know what, I don't know what's been through this.

08I don't know what kind of things have been through this washing machine. So I really didn't want to do that. We found a couple options that looked okay. But we really just were not, not really feeling it too much. And then we found out from that a family member had some, a washer and dryer that they were getting rid of and they were pretty new and they'd only been used for like a year and they just needed to get rid of them. So I was like, score. And we went and picked them up and we took our washing machine and dryer. We ended up breaking our dryer because let me tell you what we were doing. We had a family reunion we were going to, it was camping and I had to get clothes ready to go camping.

46And we only had a washing machine and I was not about to go to the laundromat because I didn't want to. So we would still, the only thing, the thing that broke about our washing machine was it wouldn't drain and spin. And so what we'd do is we would manually drain it. Like we'd take the drain hose and then put it on the floor of our laundry room where it like drains into the septic. I don't know. I don't really know. It drains somewhere. And we would drain all the water out and then we'd squeeze the water out of our clothes. And then we run it again because that was just like the first rinse cycle.

16So then we'd rinse it again and then we'd drain the water and we'd squeeze the water out of our clothes and then we'd put them in the dryer but they were still pretty wet so we just had to put them on sensor dry until they were dry so our dryer was working overtime and by the last load that I did it worked it worked really well until I was uh drying it was only like three things that I was trying to dry and I was like why aren't these drying and then it dawned on me like oh these are these are cold like they've been running for for 45 minutes and they're cold they should be hot right they should have a little bit of warmth to them.

48Yeah, I'm pretty sure we burned the heating element or whatever the technical term for that is. We broke it because we were doing that. And yeah, that's just your sign that you can't do that to your dryer because you'll break it. So anyway, we ended getting a washing machine and a dryer from these people, which was really nice because we needed both because we'd ruined both of them. So we got them. We took our old crusty, nasty ones out and put these ones in and then we our laundry room is really ugly it's really ugly and I hate looking at it but there's not a lot we can do to it right now just because we have a lot of other more important house projects going on but it has when we moved in there was a part of the drywall that had some mold on it and we had to cut that out and like remediate whatever and so there's just like this gaping hole at the bottom of one of the walls and it's not it's not a finished room at all like there's no texture there's only one wall with drywall and we had to cut half of it out there's no texture on the drywall it's just it was slapped on with some paint the floor is just cement the wall one of the walls is cement because it's in the basement the other ones like there's a bunch of pipes and stuff exposed and the ceiling is just uh like what is the word insulation just insulation and a bunch of freaking spider webs and yeah it's really ugly but we got the washer and dryer in there.

09We leveled them out. It has a little shelf. We cleaned everything out. We vacuumed up all the cobwebs and we stood back and I was like, you know what? We're rich. We're freaking rich because we have a matching washer and dryer. And you know what? It looks so much better in there. I can actually stand to walk past it. And every time I do, I'm like, I'm a rich biatch.

32I'm a rich, rich lady. Every time I walk past, I'm like, I've made it. I have made it in the world. So that's what inspired me to do this episode. That and the TikTok I saw of this lady going through her house and like it's just a joke type thing. But, you know, it's also true at the same time where she goes through her house and she's like, this is rich people shit. Like she shows her, oh my gosh, I was gonna say dryer. It's not a dryer. It's literally a fridge. She shows her fridge that has like the water dispenser and the ice dispenser and she's like, this means I'm rich. So yeah, I wanted to kind of go through those things.

11I want to talk about stuff we thought when we were kids and then stuff we think as adults that were rich. And yeah, that's what we're going to do. So I'm going to talk about it. Before that, really quick, actually, I think I already gave you pretty much all of my updates. it's yeah that's pretty much it um my kids are gone this week which I like I in my mind I'm like begging for a break all the time especially in the summer I don't get me wrong I love I love spending time with my kids it's literally my favorite thing in the world but sometimes you know I just get so tired and like overstimulated and so I'm like oh I just need a break I just need a break.

55I just need a break. And so I, I, my mom takes the kids sometimes and takes them to her preschool summer camps and they love it. And so I've been looking forward to not them being gone, but like just a little bit of a breather. But literally the second they leave, I'm like, oh, it's quiet in here and I miss them. So, you know, I'm, I'm, I'm, I miss them. They will be gone for a day, but I'm already like, I don't know, something will happen. I'm like, Hudson, I'm like, oh, he's not here. I can't even show him this funny thing that happened. But I still have my baby here. He's still here. And it's fun to just get some one-on-one time with him.

32And I don't get that very often because I have two other kids who are very high demand. They're probably, I mean, not any more high demand than any other children, but, you know, kids, young kids are high demand in general. So, okay. I think that's really all I have to say about this week. yeah nothing I have therapy you guys don't really care about that I'm not gonna tell you what I talk about in therapy because I pretty much tell you on the podcast anyway so let's get into rich people shiz some things when I was a kid when I was a kid and I was you know I didn't really know a lot about the world I didn't I I only had like my circle of people things that I thought were like, okay, these guys are rich was number one, a matching washer and dryer.

21Although I think when I was a kid, we had a matching washer and dryer. I can't remember. But I just remember like, going into my friend's houses. And if they had like a nice laundry room, I'm like, these people have money. They got money to spend. They got Disneyland money. They got money. And then then yeah if it if it said like um you know if it had like a name brand and not that I knew name brand washing machines or anything but if I had like let's see what's it what's a brand I knew I'm probably Maytag or something like that and I would just look at that and be like yeah that's that's rich um other things um houses with stairs you know like multiple floors I was like okay this is a mansion pretty much and I'm getting lost in here I don't even know where the other bathroom is because I'm, it's, it's a huge, huge house.

12So houses with stairs, rich. Even if, even if it was a small house, I didn't care. I was like, there's stairs here. This is rich. This is rich people shiz. The other thing, ultimate sign of wealth. Like I said, this lady on TikTok was talking about the fridge. If like, okay, when I was, when I was a kid, We used to spend the night at my grandparents' house, and that has nothing to do with the story. I don't know why I said that context. But basically, at one of my grandparents' houses, they had a fridge that had an ice maker, and it was my favorite thing in the world. And maybe this is why I was talking about the sleepovers there is because I remember they had recliners in their living room, and then they had a TV, like most people do.

58That's not, like, groundbreaking by any means. But I would go get – they had, like, mason jar cups too. So I'd go get my mason jar cup. I'd fill it up with ice from the fridge and like get the water from the fridge and then I go sit on one of the recliners and watch Disney Channel and it is so nostalgic to me like even just thinking about that I'm like I feel like a kid again it's so I don't know I don't even know how to explain it like the feeling of sitting down on the recliner with my cold cup of water with ice that I didn't have to get out of the ice molds straight from the fridge felt like I was on bougie island bougie wasn't even a word then but I felt like a celebrity in that moment I was like I am rich rich rich and watching Disney Channel too something about like uh specifically I remember when you know they used to have like that baton thing and they would draw like I'm so-and-so from something and this you're watching Disney Channel and they draw like the Mickey Mouse ears.

56That was like a really big thing when I was a kid and watching Disney Channel. It was like every other commercial was that pretty much. So yeah, that really takes me back. Let's see. Oh, people with pantry snacks that were not knockoff brand, like they had, or more specifically, I'm thinking about like box cereal if it wasn't malto meal, if it was like, you know, name brand. I can't even think like Kellogg's or whatever name brand there is out there. Like if they had, instead of marshmallow and 80s, if they had, gosh, Lucky Charms, I was like, you're rich. You are absolutely rich. Although, although I, in my personal, you know, humble opinion, marshmallow and 80s are way better than Lucky Charms.

41Way better. I will fight you on that. I will fight you on that. Marshmallow and 80s might be my number one favorite food in the world. I said what I said. I said what I said, I am a, I'm not going to say it. I love marshmallow mateys. If they are in my house, I can't even keep them in my house because I will eat the entire bag in one day, probably in one sitting if I could. I'm not even joking. I, when I was a kid, I just decided that that was my favorite cereal and I haven't, you know, gone back. I, I, it's one of my favorite foods in the world. And I know it's literally cardboard, but I don't care.

18It tastes good. Okay. Yeah. Box cereal, but also pantry snacks. Like, you know how some knockoff brands, like if it's Cheez-Its, it'll say like toasty cheese crackers or something like that. Or if it's Oreos, it's like cookie sandwiches. I'm like, no, it's an Oreo. You know, if they had name brand Oreos, I'm like okay you can afford the good stuff it tastes better because I know it's name brand even though they're probably the exact same product but packaged let me tell you guys a little secret well let me tell you a secret I won't tell you the name brands because I don't know maybe I'll get arrested but just kidding I just don't know if I'd get in trouble or not and this this is a really huge podcast there's probably lots of FBI agents listening trying to get, you know, tea on name brand stuff.

10Anyway, I know a person who used to work at a place where they packaged things and there's like a name brand, I'll just tell you, it was cheese. They packaged cheese and there was like a name brand cheese versus like the great value cheese. They were manufactured at the, manufactured sounds wrong, they were made at the same place and they were the exact same cheese. They were just packaged in different packages. One cost$2 more, one was$2 less, the exact same cheese. So there's probably so many of these things that happen that we're like, you know what, it just tastes better because I know it's name brand.

47And if that's if that works for you, then sure. But just know, in the back of your mind, now you'll always be thinking, are these packaged in the same freaking place? Are they the same food? They definitely absolutely could be. Lucky Charms and Marshmallow Mates, absolutely not. But you know other things they could be okay let me think um oh with cars if they had let me think if they had a dvd player in the car that was like it was like uh the most let me think the word the like i thought that they were the most technologically advanced family in the world i remember when we got our first car that had like a built-in dvd player i was like we're rich i'm telling all my friends that we won the lottery because we're so freaking rich.

38We have a built-in DVD player and get this you guys it had headphones that connected to it that were wireless wireless headphones for the DVD player that you for kids that were sitting in the very back they would put the headphones on and you could hear the movie and I don't think they lasted very long because we treated them like crap and they stopped working probably sooner than they should have but I thought we were rich. I straight up thought we were rich. And like if I got into my friend's cars and they had like automatic windows, I was like, oh my gosh, I feel like I can't touch anything because this is the richest person's car I've ever been in in my life and I don't want to break anything.

19You guys remember when cars like switched from like a hand crank windows to like, like automatic, like you just push the button windows. I can't wait. Some of these things, I'm like, I can't wait to tell my kids someday that I'm like, you know, I used to have to, instead of thinking about rolling down the window and it just goes, I had to press a button. Or get this, when I was a kid, I had to roll it down with the hand crank. And their mind's going to be blown. They're going to be like, Mom, you are so old. And yeah, I just can't wait. I can't wait to tell them these things. I'm so excited. Yeah, anyway, the cars.

55Absolutely. Cars were a big one for me. Like if they had a nice looking car, even still, I'm like, if you have a nice looking car. In my mind, you're rich. Like I seriously, I'm like, you've got money. Even though I know nothing about your finances, if you have a nice car, that's the first place my mind goes. I think you're rich. Okay, let me think. Yeah, I think that's pretty much all the ones I have for things I thought when I was a kid. But it's wild now that as an adult, some of these things that like these things aren't even rare, like having a fridge in your house that has an ice maker is almost like the standard now.

31Most fridges have that, maybe not like on the outside like they used to, but they have an ice maker on the inside if they're a newer fridge, like in the last, you know, 10 years probably. And it's just, it's crazy that these things used to be like the rich people only type stuff or like the cars, like with the windows that roll down. You can't find a car anymore that doesn't really have automatic windows unless it's vintage, literally vintage, then it might have the hand cranking ones. But yeah, it's crazy, the world we live in. Everything moves so fast and like technology is just insane how quickly things are going.

09It's actually kind of scaring me just a little bit. Specifically, this is a tangent. This is a tangent, absolutely, but I'm going to go down it. Specifically, AI. I am terrified. I'm worried about us. And not that I don't use AI ever. Every once in a while, I'll use ChatGPT. And you know what? It's a really helpful tool. I'm like, you know what? This is actually really helpful. And that scares me because I don't want technology to ever be something that I'm relying on for my information or for my creativity. You know what I mean? I want to go back to the days where we used to have to brainstorm.

47We had brainstorm, maps and we had I don't know you know what I mean like we we didn't we didn't just type into google like give me some ideas of this or give me tell me what to draw or what to write or create an image that looks like this like we had to actually do it and I I'm a little worried about the the future of kids and them not exercising that creativity and them not like critically thinking about things So I really hope that that stays alive for kids. My son, he loves to craft. He likes doing science. He loves all these things. And I really love that about him. And I always try to encourage him to do those things because I don't want that.

31I don't think AI can actually, you know, fully replace that. But at the same time, I'm like, eventually, if we have too many people relying on that, AI is going to, I don't know, I'm worried it will take over. I'm worried it will take over the world. I'm a little worried about it. All right, let's go back to the actual episode. Let's talk about some things now that we are adults that still scream rich people shiz. And it may not be logical, but in my mind, like the car thing, I'm like, if you have a nice car, you're rich, even though it's not that unattainable these days to get a nice car, I guess.

10You probably are. And I don't mean for this episode to sound like totally tone deaf, by the I understand like the kind of privilege that I have and I'm very lucky to be where I am at financially and yeah I just wanted to give that little disclaimer like I understand these things you know like not everybody has a fridge with an ice maker not everybody has a car that has automatic windows and I understand that I come from a place of privilege talking about how I think those those things are like rich people stuff okay back back back to the episode things that I consider rich people shiz as an adult that, you know, still sometimes give me imposter syndrome, like owning, this one's funny because I actually just bought another set of sheets for my bed.

56I used to just have one set of sheets and I would just wash it. And sometimes we had to sleep on the bed without sheets, which I hate doing because I didn't get them washed fast enough. Fast. Oh my gosh, I'm so stupid. We didn't get them washed fast enough. And I only had one blanket from my bed too. So I actually still only have one blanket. I need to get another one so that I can wash it and, you know, switch them out. But if you had more than two sets of sheets per bed, you're filthy rich. You're absolutely filthy rich because who can afford sheets these days? They are expensive unless you get like the ones that are made from, I don't know, paper, then they are expensive.

38Like if you want to get a nice thread count, then you're going to be spending in like 50 bucks on a king size sheet set, you know, and it's kind of ridiculous, but it's necessary. So like you have to buy it, but I totally understand people who only have one set because you know what, if you have more than one set, you're rich. You are rich. I also just bought another set for my kids' beds, even though they do have multiple sets, but I am changing their sheets way more often than I change my own. Maybe I shouldn't admit that on the podcast, but I just did. I just did. I told you that I changed my kids sheets way more often than I changed my own bed sheets.

16And I don't know, kids stink, you know, kids, kids are stinky. Okay, let's move on. Next is this one has two parts to it, I will say a guest bedroom, part one, and a guest bedroom that's clean and not a second storage room. Right now, I am I'm like mid tier rich, like I'm mid tier because I have a guest bedroom, but it also doubles as my second storage room. Like if I don't know where to put something, I'm like, just put that in the guest bedroom, just throw it in there. And then eventually when it, when it starts to, you know, like fall out into the hallway, I'm like, okay, it's time to clean up the guest bedroom.

56Or if like someone needs to come sleep, I'm like, okay, let's clear a path for them. I'm just kidding. I'll clean it up for them. But yeah, Having a guest bedroom in general, though, is actually a really big privilege these days because the housing market is insane. And even owning a house, actually, even owning a house in general is a huge privilege. And I do feel very lucky that we do own a home. And that means we're rich. I'm just kidding. But, you know, I do actually sometimes feel not rich. That's the wrong word. But at the same time, like I do acknowledge that it's it is a privilege to own a home and owning a home where you have a guest bedroom, you have an extra, you have a spare bedroom for people to come and sleep who don't live there.

43That's crazy. That is crazy. And I'm rich. And if you have if you have more than one guest room, you are loaded. You are a billionaire in my mind. I don't even know why anyone would need two guest bedrooms. actually well maybe they're more friends than i do but anyway i digress uh yeah so if you have a guest bedroom that's clean first of all it has like its own shit yeah its own set of like sheets and a nice comfy bedspread you're rich you are rich okay um next is a car this i'm going back to the car thing i know you guys are like sam's obsessed with cars But if you have a car with a heated steering wheel, you're rich because that's just you just are.

33And if you also if you have a car that has DVD players built into the headrests, you're on a you're in a different tax bracket than I am. You're in a different tax bracket than, you know, 95 % of Americans. if you have a car that has built in not even like in the in the ceiling if they're built into the back of your headrest you are rich you're a rich biatch okay okay next next one I just I don't I don't have a heated steering wheel so I don't really want to talk about it for too long because it makes me bummed out because in the in the winter I could really use that my fingers stop working when they're cold.

14They literally won't work. Like I feel like they're actually frozen. Like my blood is frozen in my fingers. So I could really use that heated steering wheel. You know what I do have though? I do have heated seats and those are very, very nice. They feel fantastic on my booty. And also it heats like my back too, which is, which is, it's, it's amazing. It's amazing. I do feel kind of bad that my kids don't have heated seats. I'm like, I, like are, the parents the only ones who are allowed to feel comfort? I don't know. Maybe it's a safety issue. I don't know. But okay. Anyway, next one. This isn't like brand specific necessarily, but it's just the one that comes to my mind.

54Like when people have Dyson vacuums, I'm also kind of like, why? Why does your vacuum need to cost more than like 200 bucks? Or like even 250, I guess. Like I could see myself maybe spending like 250 on a vacuum, but why why why does it cost 600 why does it cost 600 dollars i don't get it because i have a shark vacuum and i'll tell you what it is it is powerful it is a great vacuum it cleans so much stuff it's and maybe if i had a dyson i'd be like okay you guys are right this cleans way more but i don't I don't think so. I've used, I used to clean houses quite a bit and a lot of people had Dysons and in my personal opinion, I don't feel like they worked any better than the people who had like a Hoover or a Shark vacuum.

47I think that they all did the job and if you have a Dyson, it's because you're flexing your money. It's because you're rich and you don't know what else to do with your money. So you're like, you know what? Why don't I spend it on a vacuum? Why don't I spend my extra money on a vacuum? Because I have the money, so I might as well just buy this$600 vacuum. You know, that's the only way I can really understand why you would buy it. If you guys are like diehard Dyson stands and you want to tell me exactly why I need one, feel free to DM me. If you're like, no Sam, you don't get it. My Dyson works so much better.

21Please tell me because I actually do. It really is important to me that I have clean carpets. and that's why I love my shark vacuum because I feel like it really gets in there and gets everything real clean I should vacuum more often ever since I had my third baby I really don't vacuum as often as I should which is a real tragedy because my baby crawls around on the floor which means I should be vacuuming even more often but I don't so I'm disgusting I'm just kidding but yeah I should vacuum more often okay okay um this one is this is also something I thought as a kid but it just really stands out to me as an adult too.

57When people, first of all, when people have a garage, when people have a garage, I'm like, you have a house for your car. You have a house for your car and you don't have to scrape your windows. You are rich. You are the richest person in the world. That is what I, that's, that's, that's when I know I've made it. Our house, it used to have a garage and then it got converted into a room, which is actually really nice and we really really enjoy it and sorry I just sound like I was 800 years old we really enjoy our house um yeah we do enjoy it though we do enjoy that big room it's really nice to have but sometimes I'm like you know what why didn't they just leave it a garage because I would really really like for my car to be not scorching hot in the summer and not freezing but cold in the winter and I have to scrape it scraping my car is the bane of my existence I'm not even kidding I will literally not go somewhere if I have to scrape my car.

54Like I won't, I won't do it. If someone, if I have an event and like my husband hasn't scraped my car for me, if I can get out of it, I won't go. I straight up won't go. If I, if I have to scrape my car, that, that makes me sound like such a, um, a whiny little baby. And I'll admit it. I am a whiny little baby about it, but I hate scraping my car. It's the worst thing in the world. I'd rather shovel snow for my entire driveway, then scrape my car off. I know that doesn't make any sense, but it's true. Okay, back to the garage thing. If you have a garage, you're rich, first of all. But if you have a garage with a fridge, just a fridge, I'm like, you're rich.

35You have a spare fridge for your food. You have extra, extra room for food. And especially if they keep soda in there, if you keep soda in your garage you are who I want to be I aspire to be you I want to be that person who's like like my kids have their friends over I'm like oh go grab a soda from the from the garage just go grab one like we have money we have money to spend like if you want a soda from the garage you can have one you can have one because we have a we have a garage and we have a fridge. So yeah, just go grab one. That's what I aspire to be. And don't get me started if you have not only a fridge in there, but a freezer that's stocked with popsicles and like Eggo waffles and you know, all the stuff.

27They have all the stuff like corn dogs and pizza and all that. That is, you're rich. You're 100 % rich. Okay, hold on. Let me look. I can't tell how long I've been recording, but it feels like a long time. My jaw is actually kind of sore. And I think it's because I don't have my kids here today. So I haven't been talking very much. And now I'm talking a lot. So yeah, my jaw actually hurts a little bit. And this is this is off topic. But talking about my jaw makes me think about this. Has anybody out there? I know I have some listeners in some wide places. Has anyone ever had masseter Botox like in your jaw like you're most people know what I'm talking about masseter Botox I have a really bad problem of clenching my jaw and not just at night I grind my teeth at night really bad my dentist tells me it's a terrible problem and he gets really mad at me when I don't wear my night guard but um I had a night guard the first three days that I had it I cracked it that's how hard I'm I'm clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth at night but I do it during the day too.

35Like I will, if I feel even just a little bit tense, I will find myself clenching my jaw and it gets really sore. And I don't know really what else to do. I'm like, should I try masseter Botox? Because I've heard that that helps. So I don't know if anyone has similar issues. Let me know if you've done anything that helps. I'm like touching my jaw right now and it's, it is actually really sore. So I'm gonna go ahead and sign off for today. But thank you guys for listening. Message me if you have anything that you're thinking like, oh, you forgot this, Sam. This screams rich people shiz. Message me and I'll share it on my Instagram stories and we'll talk about it a little bit.

16And next week, I'm really excited for the episode. We're doing things that shouldn't bother you but does. It's one of my favorite things to talk about, things that bother me. Remember when you were a kid and you thought that having a fridge with an ice maker meant you were rich rich? Same. In this episode I'm talking about the random little things that screamed "they're rich" to us as kids. Matching washer and dryer? Money. Heated steering wheel? Literal life goals. Then I will take you through a few things that count as rich people shiz now that we're grown. The things that scream "I've made it".

The idea for this podcast was partly inspired by a TikTok series by the user @sammye936jc. Make sure to check out her page :) See you next week!
