Each Tuesday I'll be in conversation with an array of fascinating guests such as actor Paul Meskel. My favourite thing in the world is the job that I get to do. I adore it. Which part? The acting specifically? I love it. I just find it so addictive. It is truly the great love of my life. It's obviously family and relationships and friends but it's the thing that competes with everything. Even time with family. It's like I can fold into that so easily and I just adore it.
0:40Movie director Baz Luhrmann. Even Elvis, there was a lot of prediction by those that predict that it would fail and no one would see it because, you know, Elvis was a dead, pop culturally dead as a subject. Young people weren't interested and so on and so forth. And this doesn't really worry me because I see that as my job, is to decode these subjects that are maybe seen as cheesy or not that interesting or not that present in popular culture and to make them to sort of flip them over, shake the rust off them and make them live again. Pop sensation, Pink Pantheress. Give me a person to do an impression of.
1:15What about Rihanna? She did titanium, right? No, diamond. Diamonds, I mean. No, I can't do her either. Shining light like a diamond. Did you do an accent there? Shining bright like a diamond. You're doing an accent, a beige accent there. I wasn't. You were, heard it, heard it. Canceled. and podcaster and comedian Adam Buxton. When are you going to go back to doing your funny docs? Wow. Like, why couldn't you fold this kind of thing? I came out of nowhere. Why couldn't you fold this? Sobbed me up and then you sucker punched me. Jesus. Couldn't you go somewhere in between? Where does that anger come from?
1:55It's still free. It's still brilliant, if I do say so myself. But now it's available on your preferred podcast platform. that is a lot of peace the Louis Theroux podcast is a Spotify podcast now available everywhere
