1:04Hey. Hi. Hi. We have a presentation on Wednesday and they want to know what we did with the app last year. Do I have to present? Not if you don't want to, but I would appreciate your slides from your presentation. Can you send me the link and a small little paragraph about recommendations for next steps? Sure. Thank you. Can you please send that to me by 12pm tomorrow? Thank you. Bye.
1:31Bye. Hey. Ugh, that doesn't sound too good. Sorry. I was just bombarded with a few tasks within the last 10 minutes. I needed to come outside to remind myself that I'm human. Ha, that's why I'm outside. I just got out of a one-on-one with my manager about how the work that I'm doing isn't enough, but yet they won't tell me what work I should be doing. Ugh, I'm sorry. That's okay. I'll just vent about it in my journal. But what about you? What are you gonna do? I don't know. I just felt really overwhelmed in that moment. I haven't even thought about what to do. What would you do? Well, I think you taking a break is a good first step.
2:07Uh, what I would do is probably just order them by date. So whichever task has the soonest due date, just start with that and then work your way down. That actually sounds like a good idea. I'm gonna do that, but I'm gonna spend a little bit more time outside. Good, because I need to tell you what happened last night.

How to Regain Your Composure in Stressful Situations #work #job #workfromhome

---
In stressful situations, it can be hard to self-regulate our feelings. Self-regulation is the ability to understand and manage our physical, emotional, and mental reactions so that we can perform and behave more skillfully under stress.
Regaining our composure begins with awareness. When you feel ourselves slipping into a spiral of stress, shut the laptop and do something enjoyable, like taking a walk outside. This gives us a chance to be present, breathe, and reenter work with a calmer mindset.
