1:05So if you're a leader, how do you protect your energy and well-being while still being there for your team? Let's break down some advice from this HBR article written by Stanford psychologist Jamil Zaki. Prioritize self-care. You can't support others if you're running on empty. So make time for things that recharge you, whether that's exercising, doing hobbies outside of work, or even just giving yourself some quiet time to recharge. Understand the difference between emotional empathy and empathetic concern. Emotional empathy is feeling what other people feel, while empathetic concern is caring about other people's well-being, but without getting overwhelmed by their emotions.

So practice active listening, show genuine interest in your team's experiences, and ask for feedback to help yourself improve. Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile.
