1:11Here's some advice they share. Start with a good written interview. Get your team together and pinpoint every single obstacle that is blocking them from doing great work. Tell your team to first think about how the organization operates and then have them ask, What adds needless frustration? What scatters our attention? What was once useful, but now just gets in the way? The next step is to play the subtraction game. Get people into small groups and ask them to discuss the obstacles they identified. Then ask them to subtract two or three of those obstacles and how exactly they would do it. Who would lead the charge?
1:51Whose support would they need? And what people or teams might get in the way? You can even get started right now by challenging yourself to eliminate one unnecessary process this week. And you might just be surprised just how much space it frees up for more creativity and innovation. Have no fear.
