In short
Cleveland Browns quarterback competition and training-camp updates, plus injury/health news for Myles Garrett; discussion also includes NFL rookie “hazing”/snack-and-gear traditions and a boxing-vs-route challenge from Jake Paul.
Guests (hosts)
Ari Chambers (sports journalist) and Sam J (co-host). No additional named guests appear in the episode content provided.
Guest backgrounds
Ari Chambers is identified as a sports journalist. Sam J is identified as a co-host of “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” (sports/media personality).
Key claims
Shador Sanders should be the starting QB; Deshaun Watson and Dylan Gabriel are viewed as less likely franchise options. Watson’s $40M status and contract uncertainty are debated. Myles Garrett’s “lower half” soreness is treated as possibly minor but vague enough to raise concern.
Notable examples
Red-zone practice touchdowns favor Shador; only Shador and Watson get first-team reps; joint practices vs Buffalo (Aug 20) and preseason (Aug 22). Garrett kept out for third straight day. Rookie duties described: stocking snacks/candy and even buying Popeyes/iPads to avoid harsher hazing.

2:56James Harrison:But what we gonna get to right now. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. I gotta ask you a question. The quarterback. The quarterback, right? You still have a question? You're still with the quarterbacks. I'm getting to the quarterbacks. Yeah, okay. That's what I was about to hopefully get into the quarterback competition now. Yeah, I want to get into the quarterback. Yes. We're talking about Shedora taking care of his body, babe. Okay, okay, okay. Okay? But what I want to get into is who you think will be the starting quarterback. I was going... Go ahead. Go ahead. Talk first. What you thinking?
3:28James Harrison:Now, y 'all got the numbers? Can we put the numbers up? Can we put the numbers up?
3:37James Harrison:Hey, I ain't even tripping. I ain't tripping. I'm looking right now. I'm looking right now. Stop, Joe. Now, I see the one and two fighting for one and two. But I also see your boy. What's his name? Dylan Gabriel. Uh-huh. Debo, please don't. Joe, Joe, he has the highest completion percentage, Joe. By a percent. And he's by half, not even a full percent, like 1%. They basically have the same. I'm just saying, Joe. You're not. You're just trying to talk right now. I'm not trying to say anything. Numbers don't lie. You don't believe that you're saying. You can't lie. Women lie. Numbers don't lie. That's what the numbers say, Joe.
4:29James Harrison:Why? It's like you got a... It's a two-horse race, and you bring... It's a two-horse race. It's three. What did coach say? What did coach Todd Monk say? He said everyone is in competition. That's what he said. All four. We really about to sit here. Okay, he... And he said... What's that thing called? What? What's that thing you're doing? You're doing something right now to me. What am I doing to you? I'm just telling you, ask me what he said and I told you what he said, Joe. Okay. Now, so again, I know you think it's a two-horse race, but as I'm looking at it, I don't know about that anymore, Joe.
5:03James Harrison:So who do you think, I mean... Who, Debo, Debo, who do you think? Who do you think should be the quarterback? And this one I'm saying too, and it's still early. I'm not saying he, he said he still hasn't announced a starting quarterback, obviously. There's dates. Today is the first. We've still been out there with underwear on. They're still practicing with shorts. Nobody put no pads on. Today, Monday, first padded practice, okay? And then our first preseason game, our first preseason game is the 15th. I think he's taking his time, like he said. We have joint practices that start August 20th versus the Buffalo Bills, and we play the Buffalo Bills on August 22nd.
5:48You know as well as I know, practices are happening now.
5:53James Harrison:They're going to have pads. They're going to play their first preseason game. I would hope that it would be called before then, but I'm giving them by the second after the joint practices, by that time, is the end of the time when we're going to have to call who's going to be the starting quarterback. And I think for sure it's going to be Shador Sanders. because you know as well as I know, when you go to those joint practices, you're playing against another team. That's where you're really getting that vibe. You're seeing who you're quarterback. How are we performing against another team? So your teams know, people know.
6:28James Harrison:They're watching it right now, seeing how Shador is playing. I'm liking what I'm seeing. The touchdowns really came from now. It was red zone practice. So before this, nobody was really getting any touchdowns. Last practice, when the touchdowns started going crazy, It was the red zone. Shador executing, looking really, really good. Like I thought so. So I want him to continue his process, continue working, continue doing the stuff that he was talking about before, learning, trying to get better. And I think with him, Deshaun, too, both of them are, they know it's a quarterback competition, but both of them are just trying to get better every single day, every single practice.
7:05Yes.
7:05James Harrison:Well, for me. What's up? Looking at this sheet. Yes. I don't see how it's a Watson-Shador competition right now. I think it should be a Shador-Dillon competition. I'm just looking at the numbers, Joe. I understand. Hey, that's just how I feel because you saying it ain't going to matter. You got to get the pads on, then we going to really see. You think getting the pads on going to make him be able to see better than to throw six picks? This one I'm going to tell you, Debo. You think that fire from the other team actually rushing your quarterback and wanting to go ahead and get that little tap on his back to let him know, I was here, you wouldn't have got that off.
7:47James Harrison:You think that's going to make him better? You think that corner sitting over there in Buffalo baiting him, baiting him into throwing that thing and then going, that's going to make him better? Hey, listen, if it was up to me, I think that Shador should have been the starting quarterback. So coaches giving it the time and they haven't still put on pads. We're watching the practice. We're seeing it. They're saying, I'm not going to be able to pick the quarterback. They're going to pick the quarterback. For me, it's the only – And you know what's so crazy. Only Shaquard and Watson are getting reps with the first team.
8:22James Harrison:So we can't just even put Dylan. I understand what you're saying. He can't even – he's going versus – he's doing second team reps. So if he starts getting one rep, then you'll start being like, oh. because it's people that's saying that it could possibly be Dylan. If those people are just trying to give you that few to say stuff to me that make to piss me off, that's all. That's what they're doing. Yes. Listen, man, there's a bunch of people on here that don't know neither one of us that's talking about it. This is how we first started. It was Deshaun Watson. He's making$40 million this year. He has to start, obviously, to see what he got.
9:05James Harrison:He's in the competition versus Shador. They're battling for the number one quarterback. Shador's numbers that you're looking at are better, obviously, than Deshaun Watson. So now you're just going to say, we're going to bump my man up from the second team, move Deshaun out the whole way, and now say, Deshaun's battling versus Dylan Gabriel? That doesn't make any sense. He had a battle for QB1 versus Deshaun Watson. He's winning. But I want you to understand, didn't your owner Haslam just come out and say he was not against the possibility of signing Watson to another year after this year? And Watson said he was open to coming back.
9:42James Harrison:Like, what's going on over there? He's on the team right now, so you don't want to say, oh, I don't give a damn. What he does, he's not going to be on the team. You can't say, well, you know what? They're real close to that bridge when we get to it. You can say that. He's probably, you can definitely say that. But he didn't say that. He didn't say that, though. He didn't say that. He's just, he's trying to give him a different type of motivation. Because you know what? He might think about it. But guess what? He might not. You know what I'm saying? I mean, I understand what you're saying. But I'm just saying you want to put that out there.
10:13James Harrison:He's trying to put it out there for good motivation for Watson. Like, okay, bet. But what about Dylan that's over here? No, but you keep worrying about it. So at what point do you give Gabriel an opportunity to fight for a second position? How many picks do Watson got to throw? Eight? Nine? Twelve? Don't forget the end year, what? Eight? Yeah. Yeah. What is it? Second? This is Gabriel's second year. Him and Shadol last year. Come on. Debo. I don't, we're not, we're talking about Shador is the starting quarterback. And now you're just trying to figure out when is Dylan Gabriel going to get his shot?
11:09I don't know.
11:11James Harrison:I don't know. Right now, I don't think Dylan Gabriel is going to be this. He's not the quarterback for the future, for the Browns. So I can - How do you know that? You saying Watson could be? No, I don't think neither one of them can be, Debo. Put your GM hat on, Joe. I don't think, I don't think Deshaun Watson is going to be our future quarterback moving forward. I don't think Dylan Gabriel is going to be the future quarterback moving forward. I think our best chance is for Shador Sanders to now see what we have. This is his second year. Even if Dylan Gabriel were to have these same new receivers, these new, the new offensive line that we have, I don't think his arm strength is good enough.
11:51James Harrison:When he was throwing some of those fade balls, it was just fluttering through the air. I don't like his arm strength. So I'm thinking Shador. So if Dylan Gabriel were the quarterback, no. We need to go draft. So what you're saying right now is in your mind, we only have, y 'all only have. I keep saying we. Yes, because you my dog. No, I said we because I was getting sentimental because it was Bernie Kosar that was interviewing him. And that was back when I was a fan. And Bernie Kosar was my dude. Yes, love Bernie. Nah, still is. I ain't going to win. So I kind of slipped out. I said we because it was, you know, that's what I was thinking about.
12:27James Harrison:But anyway, let me get back to what I was saying. Now, you said at, let me make sure this right. Yes. It just changed. At 11.51 a.m. on August 3rd. Yes. Neither Watson nor Gabriel, you thought, was the future franchise of this quarterback for this franchise, right? With that being the case, you're saying we only got one that could potentially be, and that's Chateau. So basically, you're saying that in your GM opinion, we might be wasting a little time where we could have made up some ground and got somebody else. What you saying? Got somebody else. As a Browns fan, as far as another quarterback that could actually potentially fight for.
13:12James Harrison:No, no, no. I think this is what's up. We need to either figure out. I love when Drew's starting a lot. I love it. It make me. Deshaun Watson can be the backup. Dylan Gabriel, if you want to have him as a backup, we need a franchise quarterback. So I don't know. I haven't seen Jalen Green do anything yet. I'm just saying right now, Shador Sanders is our best shot. I'm thinking that we have a franchise quarterback on the roster. If he's not the one, then we're going to trade, get rid of Dylan Gabriel. Deshaun Watson's not going to be on the team. We'll be in the same boat that we've been in needing a franchise quarterback.
13:52James Harrison:Then we have two first-round picks. We're going to go get them next year in the draft. But right now, when we have Shador on this rookie contract, it's not Dylan. We had him on the rookie deal. This is year two. He's still on the rookie deal. He only on year two. You don't know how Dylan's so fast, bro. I understand. But Dylan got his first. Listen, I'm giving you my op. I don't think Dylan's going to be a starting quarterback, a franchise quarterback for a team, just from his arm strength, just from what I've seen. No disrespect, but I just don't see it in his own. Okay, so let's pretend that you're a Steelers fan for one minute.
14:22James Harrison:Who would you want to be the quarterback you were playing against? If I was playing— You're a Steelers fan now. Let's pretend you're a Steelers fan. Dylan Gabriel. Dylan Gabriel. Wow. Because I feel like I could pick him off the easiest. Who's your backup then? Deshaun Watson. Okay. Okay. Okay. That's why you cool with this list My list is That's why you cool with your list And y 'all don't even know how to practice bro Y 'all ain't even in pads yet bro We in pads today Did you just say Why is he depleting his own teammate In unpadded practice bro Look at this What he doing bro Look the man look like he got hit in the eye too Oh oh oh come on y 'all
15:17James Harrison:come on y 'all what they doing over there y 'all Quishon Jenkins Jenkins Jenkins Jenkins that's what y 'all doing over there it was a chip it's a chip bruh a chip look at it he just got poked in the eye with it look like a knee ain't no pads on Yeah, man, you got to hit him like that. He ain't got to hit him like that. He ain't got to hit him like that. That's what y 'all doing? He's trying to... Ah. Now, when he going fire on him down, who fought it at? Who did that? Then what? That's how fights start. I'm surprised the fight didn't even start. Then he going to have to box. That's how fights start.
16:07James Harrison:As soon as they get pads on, I promise you, they are going to be full go at him trying to light him up, bro. No, that's for sure. That's for sure. Man, this is Chip. You got to have a bigger base then. Bruh. You think you would have win the Sto... Debo, you would have win Sto smack off. Bruh, he Sto... It looked like his toe guy stepped on first. And he was looking already kind of limping. And then he hit him. So I'm like... Bruh, he gave him the whole... He gave him the whole Shemang? Kitting caboodle.
16:43James Harrison:He jumped into it. He did. He did. He did jump into him. He hit him like I hit my sequa. No. Not even close. Not even close. Bruh. And that was his shells. That was his shells. If he weighed as much as me, it would have looked just as bad. But it wasn't. Hey, I'm telling you this. What's up, fam? I'm sports journalist Ari Chambers. Hey, what's up, y 'all? 21:25James Harrison:Turn around and place your hands behind your back. The cops came into my house and threw me in jail. 22:07James Harrison:Right. I ain't tripping. Would you think you would have flown like that? Probably. Fuck no. Okay. No, Joe. Joe, Joe, I wouldn't have... No. That's what I was... That's what I was... I wouldn't tell you right now. I wouldn't have expected you to fly like that. I don't care what had happened. I would have been seeing him come through there anyway. Debo, that's what I'm saying. I'm like, bro, my antennas is always up. Come on, that's what I'm saying. You got to kind of be a little bit more... And then he just laid down and made like he was going to kick back up. And then didn't... They ain't got no fight.

22:49James Harrison:They ain't no fight, Joe. Look at that. Look at that, Joe. He fired on them, man. He gave him all that. Now, if he did that to him, I mean, I don't know if they're going to bring that in. That's what I'm saying. If somebody hits you and they stay on their feet, like, and they didn't like... He wasn't even looking for somebody. I understand. I understand. But that ain't even a legit... That's a de-cleaning. He de-cleaning for sure. but that's not a legit, like, he seen it coming and I put that, ooh, what? Every time I ask him about this for you, you keep saying your head would have been on the swivel.
23:27James Harrison:You would have seen him coming. I understand that. You would have been like that. So, that's what I'm saying. I wouldn't have did that to my teammate. I wouldn't have did it to my teammate either. I wouldn't have did that to my teammate either, but... He's like, look, we trying to establish physicality out here. He trying to establish physicality with no pads on? He didn't really... All right. I got you, Deebo. I got you. I'm just saying, Joe. I'm just saying. That's all I was saying, man. Brown Browning. So that's what it is. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. They started doing good. They get something going good for him.
24:02James Harrison:Then you know what? Like, yeah, let me take my teammate out and make sure he can't play. Anyway, Myles Garrett is dealing with a little soreness in his lower half. Head coach, Simon Vey, says Sunday. they're keeping him out of practice for the third consecutive day, Joseph. Do you think it's just a little soreness or is there a reason for worry or Rams are being smart. Rams are being smart. They'd rather take caution if there's any chance of feeling of hammies or something going on, soft tissues. that man didn't say let me look at that again a little soreness lower half what does that mean Joe?
24:54James Harrison:that means he's sore but what is the soreness have you ever heard a little sore in his lower half not even pointing to a extremity it could but his lower half Joe? yeah what's that? that's vague that is super vague why is it so vague three days straight of vagueness soreness Joe not D-Bow I don't know I don't know I think it's chill I think it's nothing what do you think Joe you know me there you go you think something I think I'm hoping it's not okay serious okay but you holding out the Aaron on the side of being smart you know there's no reason for concern when you say there's no reason for concern but you give me lower extremity soreness that kind of makes me concerned because you're not giving me exactly you know what it what it is or what it could be and when I hear things like that and the talk of Aaron Donald coming back.
26:07James Harrison:I think, I hope it's not, but I think there may be a little bit of concern that maybe he may be out for a little bit of time with something more than a little bit of soreness, and that's why the hope of AD may be a necessity instead of a hope, Joe. That's all I'm saying. Will you tell me what you think, Joe? I'm going to say I'm hoping that his thing is just honestly soreness, vet days, legs a little tired. It just started. Maybe they tight. Muscles might be tight. Muscles might be tight. Maybe he ain't got no body work. He was traveling. A lot of travel. Traveling. Coast to coast. It's nothing serious.
26:57James Harrison:Moving all his stuff. Moving all his stuff. He ain't moved shit. He had somebody delivered, Joe. Never know. Miles is... You never know. Miles don't be, Miles is real. He's like you. Miles isn't throwing his money around. Miles might have moved himself. Miles ain't like me because I wouldn't have left that money sitting on that table by not going to them OTAs and all that other shit. Yeah, you're right. I'd have caught that million. We different now. Yeah, but he was negotiating. He knew he wasn't coming back. That's why though, Debo. They told him. He told him not to come. They already, okay.
27:30James Harrison:But no, I'm coming to get that. You can tell me not to come. I'm still coming to get that. I'm under contract, Anna. I got a clause in there, don't I? But then they might not let you leave. You're going to let me leave and you're going to let me leave with this. Because I earned it. But this is what I'm saying. What you think a contract is for? What's in the contract is what you go by. You can't make up what you want to and say, oh, this means that and that means this. You can't do that. That's what a contract is made for. You have to be specific and state, I'm coming to get my money and OTAs and you go pay me.
28:03James Harrison:That is why there's contracts. It specifically states what it is, where it is, and how it's done. What money did Miles move so he could make sure that they could trade him? He just moved some money around to the back end. And he didn't get that, though, because he got traded. He got it. He get it over there. He get it over there. He just delayed when he got it. That's all that was, Joe. That's all that was. And then the money and the bonuses, that's not even counted towards anything. So, Joe, I got to go get that. The contracts say I can get it. I'm going to get it. You ain't about to do nothing outside what the contracts say.
28:41James Harrison:Otherwise, you're going to have to see me and my people. Okay? Okay. I feel you. You would have went back. Why are we a little different? Oh, I'm going to get my money. That's why we're a little different. Hey, listen. Through hell and high water, I'm going to get my money. but that might be why he got a little tightness in his muscle. I don't know. He going to be straight. He going to be straight. I'm hoping he going to be straight, brother. That is, you know, that is 100%. Now, look here, man. The Pats rookies, they got to pay their dues, man. There it is. Okay. So the Pats rookies are expected to fill the snack reserves for their position groups.
29:27James Harrison:Yes. And rookie quarterback Morton has to make sure fresh oranges are plentiful in the quarterback's room to go with the juicer May purchased last season. That's not bad. OK. Keeping cups stocked is part of the job as is having Gushers for DeVito and purple bag Doritos. I guess those are the spicy sweet chili. Yeah. For the quarterback coach, Aston Grant. Yes. I don't even know why this is even like a story, to be honest with you, Because I think everybody got to do something, bro. What'd you have to do? I know I had to do something. Everybody got dues. You was a first-round pick, right? I was a first-round pick.
30:24James Harrison:Seventh pick. What'd they make you do? They went hard. So, look, I went— They went hard on you, Chico? No, no, no, no, no, no. I went and knocked it out. I just went and got the whole—this is 2010. So, this is when iPads first came out. So, I bought the entire defense iPads. And when I bought the entire defense iPads, that was my rookie dudes. He said, Brody, you don't have to do nothing else. So I was smooth. Only thing my boy. That's smooth. I did that. I bought them all iPads. And everybody was cool. And they was like, oh, yeah, that's love. You bought your way out of all your dudes. That's great.
30:56James Harrison:I bought my way out of the dudes. But then this is the other thing we had to do. And I made sure. So it was me, TJ, Larry Asante, and Cliff Gaither. So it was four defensive people that got drafted. it. All we had to do was make sure they had Popeyes. We had to go, somebody had to go pick up the Popeyes before the game, every game. Before the game? Before we left, before the plane. Before the plane. You're talking about Saturday. Saturday, Saturday, before the plane. Yes, yes, yes. We had to have Popeyes before the plane. So we did walkthrough and then right after walkthrough when we was going to the plane, one of the rookies, somebody had to make sure we had Popeyes for everybody.
31:35James Harrison:So that was the only joint we had to do to Popeyes. I got them the iPads. It was smooth. And then we did the rookie dinner. Okay, you ain't had no hazing of any sort? Bro, the good part was, Debo, I had great OGs. We had Pops, Mike Adams. We had Sheldon Brown. We had Eric Wright. And we had Abe Elam. These dudes were just good dudes. So they just wanted to make sure as long as you brought the food, as long as you had the Popeyes for them. You know what I'm saying? And then like buck about the Popeyes. Like, hey, rookies, y 'all got, rooks, make sure you got the Popeyes. Make sure we got the food on the plane.
32:12James Harrison:Cool. We got the food on the plane. They don't have no problems. You don't have food on the plane. And I'm like, bro, like it's disrespect. So I'm like, I respect it because you're not acting nothing crazy. People are hungry. You know what I'm saying? Y 'all want some food? And I'm going to do the same thing next year. If we want some Popeyes, we want some type of food, we going to have these rooks come in because we did it. You know what I'm saying? And it wasn't no like, man, they were super like, no, chill. Look, Rooks, just make sure y 'all get the food for us when we go to the plane. Cool.
32:39James Harrison:Got you, OG. That's all you need? Solid. Yeah, see, I had good OGs too. We didn't have to do nothing. We didn't have to do nothing crazy. Rookie dinner, of course. And that was just for the linebackers. We had to make sure the room was stocked with candy and all that other stuff. Snacks and candy for sure. Snacks and candy. Snacks and candy for sure. Snacks and candy. Snacks and candy for sure. And like all the stuff where they tie dudes up to goal posts. None of that. Cut their hair and all that. I'm like, you can't cut nobody's hair. That's crazy. Like, that's wild. Like, you want to cut my hair?
33:15James Harrison:You can't. I'm like, no. That's the Vikings. They couldn't cast a ball. Tape them up against the thing. I'm like, no. No, bro. Take your pads in. Cool. Like, dude, that's out of control. We had some kids, as we got older, that didn't want to do the parts, or they forget something twice. One time, you let it slide. Second time, dude, Woodley. Yo, this man, Lamar Woodley, man. I forget who it was, bro. But the dude, he wasn't bringing either the snacks or he didn't bring the breakfast in the morning on a Saturday. I think it was twice or something, whatever it was. Willie went and had them get popcorn, bro.
34:09James Harrison:He had a brand new caddy dude. It wasn't even all 30-day tags yet, bro. He had them fill up this man's car with popcorn. Butter popcorn, bro. Oh, no. all the way to the top of the sunroof, bro. All the way through the car. Dumped it in through the top of the sunroof, bro. They brought up like two, three vans full of popcorn to fill this man's car, bro. See? Let's just say he ain't never missed another thing since then. Nah, I bet. And then we had another one, bro. He ain't want to listen. So they ended up taking his clothes, bro. I'm like, yo, after he get undressed, take his clothes he wore here.
34:52James Harrison:and put them in bags, fill it up with water, and throw it in the freezer. And then don't give him nothing to wear home. Like, wear home whatever the fuck you got. So the equipment room was like, hey, don't give him nothing to wear home. He wasn't bringing the candy. He wasn't bringing the snacks like he was supposed to. Brog his shit into a brick like he came back. Yeah, that's what he get. Some of the dudes, the younger dudes, the thing is, when they're not making you do nothing crazy. Right. Bruh. You're not doing nothing crazy to you. It's candy. It's snacks. So it was carry pads. That was it.
35:28James Harrison:During training camp, you would have to carry pads up. That was it. Mm-hmm. And then that gets you, I ain't going to even lie, that kind of got you out of signing autographs. You'd be like, man, my hand's full, man. I got all these pads. You know what I'm saying? God, come on. No, for sure. For sure, for sure. You know what I'm rookie dudes? It depended on your OGs. Because they said, when they was really hazing people, that's just, no one. You cannot take a whole – at the end of the day, he's still a grown man, no matter if he's a rookie or not. So some of the stuff is like all of that disrespect.
36:01James Harrison:Like one thing, you're not going to disrespect me. When you ask me, boom, bring the food, bring the snacks, like keep the room stocked, that's just – that's what rookies would do. Cool, because that's some normal stuff. Like you've been in the game, boom, boom, I'm going to do the same thing when I'm the next year. You know what I'm saying? Like, boom, yeah, get the snacks, bring up the pads. It's just kind of like you're welcoming. Because I think the old dudes, they do it. Some people do it as a power trip. And that's when it's like, bro, what are you doing? Oh, I got it now. I'm in that position.
36:31James Harrison:Now I can make them do it. No, no, no. Now I'm going to make this. What am I back? I'm like, bro, chill the fuck out, you bum. And even if they're like, oh, it'd be the dude that'd be like four years, like five years in. I'm like, you suck. Like, stop telling, bro. Lucky you got the four. Like, you mad that you feel like you could tell him what to do because he about to take your spot. So you're about to be like, spot, you're going to be up out of here. Bring my pads. I'm like this nigga, I played with you. I ain't got no problem with the pads. That was easy work. I'm like, all right, yeah, that ain't nothing.
36:57James Harrison:Like the pads, all that. I ain't tripping. Pads and stuff is nothing. But we're saying like when they just being mean. Yeah. Like, bruh, come on, man. Our rookie dinner. So I was practice squad my rookie year. So Foote, Larry Foote, shout out Larry Foote, though. We did the rookie party. So I didn't pay the amount that he paid. I paid the amount as it equaled out to what my practice squad paper was. You know what I'm saying? So he had to put the most of it because I was on practice squad. I was making like 60 grand, bro. You know what I'm saying? And he was drafted, I think, like third. What's up, fam?

41:32I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season 3 podcast. This is a story about a horrendous situation that destroyed two families. It started more than seven years ago, when Cindy and Kenny were two 40-somethings who had just gotten engaged. Days later, they walked into a scorched-earth war they never saw coming.
41:54James Harrison:Turn around and place your hands behind your back. The cops gave it to my house and threw me in jail. And to Cindy's surprise, her fiancé Kenny was charged with abusing one of her children. I never once doubted Kenny, and I always doubted the accusation. On Season 3 of Burden of Guilt, you'll hear a story about the lengths someone will go to in order to get what they want. This case has got to be one of the most despicable. Listen to Season 3 of Burden of Guilt on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. fifth or something like that so he had he had a little bit of paper you know i'm saying but it was uh it was it was some it was some g's though it was some g's for him i think i might have had like maybe like one or two i think his was like 10 or 12 something like that yeah something like that like so yeah but i ain't gonna lie bro
42:54James Harrison:when Woodley and Timmons came in together? One and two? Oh, man. That rookie, that rookie. He did in there. Yes. Hey, man. Them boys got about seven or eight bottles of Louis. We don't do it at the store. We had them get it beforehand. Okay. Okay. No, we ain't gonna hit them at the store and make them do it for, you know, what is it? seven, eight grand, whatever. Yes. They'd go to the store then. It was like 15, 12, 15,$2 ,000 or something like that. Yeah. And then, you know, went from there. But yeah. That's the same way because me and my boy TJ, I came in with TJ Ward. I was first round. He was second round.
43:37James Harrison:So that's when we and him, when we were doing the snacks and we would give the undrafted dudes that stayed on team two, we're like, look, we know we got to do it. $100, $200, go get the snacks. That's what I, that's what foot be like, hey, bro, can you, I'll go get the snacks. I ain't trying. They dudes like, man, I ain't got, I'm like, Joe, I'm like, look, here go$200, man, please go, go fill this joint up before we get yelled at. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I ain't trying to have my, I go get it. They would do the block. They would freeze your clothes in the block. I'm like, Joe, I ain't trying to have my, I ain't trying to have my clothes in the block, brother.
44:09James Harrison:I ain't trying to, like, I ain't trying to, I ain't trying my clothes yet in no block, brother. Like, you go put my stuff in the water, and then they throw the mug in the ice machine and bury it. By the time you get through with practice, bro, and you come back out, they done pulled your stuff out, man. So it's a brick of ice, man. See, no, no, just get the candy. Get the candy. I'm like, and the one dude, like, he told him, like, dude, he's like, Willie was like, yo, man, you do that shit again, I'm going to fill your car with pop. Yeah, fuck you real. We said, all right, we'll see. you wanna let's sit down bro I'm like I'm like damn I'm like that's that's like that was I'm like maybe I'm like if it was out without the butter but he was like hell no extra butter on there he gonna learn the day yeah he got it he gonna learn the day he got it that thing deep clean for sure oh deep clean off rip man let's jump into these super chats brother who you got coach
45:09James Harrison:so what we got here oh your boy your boy jake paul i guess he had a little issue he issued a million dollar challenge to nfl players he said he would pay any nfl player a million dollars if they can box better than he can run a route against man that's it man anybody can run a route boxing is hey he's talking about current nfl players or x that's what i'm trying to figure I know somebody, Le 'Veon Bell.
45:38James Harrison:I know somebody. The show. Le 'Veon Bell. I mean, you can box him. I guarantee you he could run a route way better than you can box. And he could box better than you can run a route. I'm going to guarantee that. I like that. Do Fred Warner box? Fred Warner? I don't think so. Okay. No, you thinking of that video they showed, that wasn't Fred. That wasn't Fred? Because if that was Fred that did that goddamn spinning bicycle joint, I'm like, Fred Warner? He looked like he got hands and feet, and I knew he could guard. So if I was just throwing one in Manhattan, I'd throw Fred in the bucket if that was him.
46:20James Harrison:Bruh, yeah, bruh. But that wasn't Fred. I don't know, man. I think ever since Joshua broke his jaw, he's just looking for something else to get some attention for, man. I don't know, man. Get some clout over it. But I know. I know Fred. That's one of my own. That was not Fred, but I know I love Bell. Bell bought that. He been looking for them boys for a minute, ain't he? For a minute. It was actually his brother he was looking for the other time, right? Yes. Yeah. Other brother. Even one can get it then, Le 'Veon. Yeah. Get that offer to my AJ, get that offer to my dude Le 'Veon Bell. For sure, please.
47:00James Harrison:He's sending out the jet and everything. Yes. He said he's sending out the jet. And you go fly private, Bill. El, Bill, you go fly private too. For sure, for sure. For sure. Super chat.
47:15James Harrison:Pecclesante,$5. What up? He said Mount Drew Aller. Mount Drew. When they start calling him Mount Drew Aller? He going to get, see, he going to throw in there. Is that today right now? That's right. He made that up for himself? Today or so. Okay. Okay. Okay. How you go come and just mess up Mount Washington and just throw it on Mount Drew Allard? That's crazy. Mount Washington, Drew Allard? You got to come up with something different than that, man. You can't have a son. You got to come up with something better than that, baby. He said, could turn out to be like Big Ben. Ooh. That's a lot now. Mad love, my brother D-Bo and Joe.
47:55Ten more for some Steelers football.
47:59James Harrison:Heck Santi. Yes, sir. Hey, look, yo. Big Ben? Big Ben? Are we missing something? That's a lot to put on that man. Hey, I... I mean, he been slinging that thing, but, like, Big Ben? See? He could be the first. Look, my man gonna be first to the party, though. Nobody can't say... Oh, nobody said it. Except for my man Heck. Heck said it. I'm just saying. He believed, because I don't... He believed it. He said it. Hey, he said it. He believed he said it. August 3rd. You know, steal his football star soon. Steal his football star soon. He came back again. He came back again. He said$10. Came with$10, though, Joe.
48:39James Harrison:What are you talking about? He said, Joe, the Browns have been a deathbed for many great football players' careers. Shador should take note on how they treated Baker Mayfield and get out of Dodge. This is what I'm saying. Shador doesn't have any control of that right now. So the best thing that Shador can do is ball out. Because if you will ball out, if they don't end up giving you the bag, then you can be able to go. But right now, the best thing you can do is perform. Keep the main thing the main thing. Control what you can control. Because as soon as you start trying to do the most, they're going to start making other reasons why that you shouldn't be the quarterback of another team.
49:25James Harrison:Perform where you're at. Just, you know what I'm saying? Deal with the hand that you're dealt, Shador, and you're doing the best job at it. So right now, you're getting better players. Just your timing in the pocket. The best thing you can do is become a better Shador Sanders. Become a better quarterback. Do the things you didn't do last year better this year. So bump if it's to the Browns, if it's any team. If you get traded, you have to become a better quarterback, period. And then we're going to be able to figure it out. You show the Browns you can be a franchise quarterback, we'll see if they'll pay you that shit.
49:56James Harrison:Deshaun Watson bread. They've seen it. They give it out to something. They give it out. They give it out. So give them a reason to, if you can be homegrown and end up balling, you know what I'm saying? Or if they don't, then you can go somewhere else and get it. But the main thing is the main thing. You ball out right now with knowing. Don't get tied. He's doing the things in the community. He's going to all the kids. Chador is being a perfect player for Cleveland right now as far as the community and as far as what he's saying, it's a quarterback as far as the competition is going. So all you can do is control what you can control.
50:27James Harrison:And if the Browns start acting funny and if they don't want to sign you, then you show that you're a competent, good quarterback, somebody else will sign you to the bag. Yes, sir. If you, they did, free quarterback, good franchise quarterbacks aren't just laying around. So hopefully if you ball out the Browns will do you right. But if they don't, you can go find another team will sign you for sure. For sure. Covenant life fact. Covenant life,$10. She said, Joe, what is your perspective on the surging receiver market and how quarterbacks have to adapt their mindset when guarding wideouts, making top money, top-tier money?
51:01James Harrison:Huh? You got to change your mind, huh? You know what I'm trying to change your mindset? This is all you know, and it's like, oh, they think he's that nice. Now you're looking forward to strategy. Yes. Anybody that's getting paid because that's who you get paid. I'm like this. I want anybody that's getting the dough because now I'm going to show you that you don't know what the hell's going on. I'm going to be studying this tape. I'm going to be doing, when I go against Antonio Brown, I watch the most film. When I go against AJ Green, I'm watching the most film. Like when you go against other dudes, obviously you're watching tape for sure.
51:32James Harrison:I got them doing circled on my calendar because it's like everybody's watching this because they expect him to go off. What he's not about to do is go off on me. So when you see these dudes getting paid, it does nothing but, I think if you're getting scared, go and stay home. Go to church. Don't be on my squad because we want all the smoke. We want all the noise. We hope that Jamar Chase is coming in the building because it's like, all right, now. Time to eat. Time to eat. Let me go get one. I'm going to the Pro Bowl. I'm going all pro. I snapped this joint. So that's how you get motivated. Yes, sir.
52:11James Harrison:Covenant Life, she back with$5. She said, Debo, with Jameer Gibbs holding in at Lions Camp, what's your take on guys sitting out practice for a contract does it ruin a team's physical edge no hell no oh no I do not have a problem with guys uh sitting out for contracts uh doing what they need to do or holding in however that process works out I think um this is uh I think they kind of put themselves in a situation to be honest with you because when you release uh David Montgomery, and traded him over to Houston, right? Yeah. You traded him over to Houston, you gave him the opportunity to hold in.
52:56James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? Uh-huh. And be there to where he doesn't have to participate. Why? Because you done lost your one-two punch. You let part of your one-two punch go. So now he's like, you know what? I got to do more. I got to carry more of the bag. Y 'all got to go ahead and give me what I need to make sure I'm going to be able to do this. You know what I'm saying? Uh-huh. It ain't no longer one-two. I got to throw both of them. I got to throw both shots. It's no longer one-two. I got to throw two. So I don't think it ruins the team's physical edge or nothing like that. It's one player.
53:28James Harrison:The whole team should be playing physical anyway. And once you get him back in there, it should be just a continuation of, you know, what it was. Yep. We got Mike Mike. He back. Five eyes. Said, what up, D-Boy and Joe? if y 'all going to Steelers practice y 'all got to go to the Browns practice too got to be fair I would go to a Browns practice Joe Joe ain't got the you know what I'm saying Joe Joe the one got to get that you know what I'm saying okay I'ma alright let me I'ma get a set up then Debo cause I don't that's what he's saying that's what I'm saying Joe ain't hey listen I'm just gonna keep y 'all 100 they don't really they don't really mess like Joe they don't mess with Joe like cause Debo got them not messing with me no more they don't mess they don't mess they don't mess with Joe like still just mess with me you know what I'm saying wow I mean and after that 76ers talk who knows in the city you know I mean it gets crazy wow wow they know me yeah I mean they do know you they know you a lot well they know you a lot better now you know what I'm saying that's all I'm saying yeah wow you know Hexanti he's back five dollars said Debo did you ever experience a hit like that from a second-year player.
54:44You, Joe, any similar experience? He talking about the hit that your boy got over there.
54:51James Harrison:Oh.
54:55James Harrison:Not in shells. Not in shells. No. No. Not in shells. Not in shells. Nothing like that. Yeah, I mean, nah. I mean, on the I left waist drain, he just, he pushed me down. He ain't hit me like that. Yeah. I ain't no yet. I ain't never. I can't say that done happened. Hell. Covenant Lye, she back again. $10. She said, Debo, with the Hall of Fame game on Thursday, do players actually care about winning preseason openers or is it strictly about roster game surviving cut date? Lots of guys. Here's the thing is that's part of the process. So, man, you have to. I was in percent. I wouldn't say winning, but if you do well as a team, that is what happens.
55:55James Harrison:Yes. So winning, yes, is part of it. But when it comes down to it, like, is it a it don't count against anything? Like, like I could go in there and play great and we lose, but that's going to help me. It's not going to help the team as a whole, but it's not going to hurt the team as a whole either. But other than the development of realizing that we don't we're not all on the same page as far as, you know, it's just roster. Yes. Roster point blank, period. Like I'm I'm trying to make the roster. I'm trying to not be cut on the last cut and be part of the 53. That is what it is about. But through that process, it's just more of the coaches trying to realize what's going on.
56:40James Harrison:Like what I got, who can do it, who can run it the way I need it ran, who understands it. Boy, you ain't lying. During those preseason games, the individuals out there, it's more that's the most kind of individual that you feel. Because it's like you have to look at your grade sheet and it's how did I perform each play? How many snaps did I get? Did I get a check or did I get a minus? You know what I'm saying? Did I play well or did I not? Because it's more your resume. Each snap counts like, did you do your job on this one? Did you not? Okay, yes. He was right in his right gap. It's not about the play.
57:13James Harrison:Alignment, assignment, execution. Alignment, technique. You know what I'm saying? So if you're doing those things well, that's really what you're worried about. It's like you can, if you all lose, it's like, okay, boom. Somebody did some things where it didn't work out. But if I got all you're looking, I want to make sure I got all checks. I did good. You know what I'm saying? I did my alignment, my assignment, my technique. Yeah, definitely. That looks like, bro, that's all we got right now. We got my brother. So, actually, tomorrow. Yes, sir. Hottie and Unk, they will be here from 1130 to 1230.
