0:18David Cho:How long gone? It's Chris Black. I'm sitting under a beautiful skylight at Jason Stewart's home. we're in a rare dining room recording session

0:31Jason Stewart:today we record in the dining room thanks to our friends at Magna

0:33David Cho:thanks to our friends at Magna it's a beautiful day in LA I'm barefoot and we are joined by friend of the program long time friend of the program fan favorite David Cho make some noise make some noise for David Cho thank you thank you thank you

0:50Jason Stewart:you look at David Cho on the Hell Long Gone charts over on Spotify other than lord nobody's really putting up numbers like joe is silent but dudley that's how i want to stay bro how do you do it okay i mean that's a good way to jump off because you your follower account on social media is really low right nevertheless you know i've invested in in in real things real pursuits rather than my social media i thought you're gonna say you've invested

1:17David Cho:in bots in thailand he's more of a community guy he's focused on building community ira so what what i tell people he's like a run club yeah i'm a human run club that's what people always

1:28Jason Stewart:compare me to human run what i tell people is that even though cho is so his followers are so low he because you're so close to us and we talk all the time and we're friends in real life people want to hear somebody who feels comfortable speaking to us on a peer level so you're saying it has nothing to do with me i have no value besides my adjacency to i did not say that jason i didn't notice jason said that i didn't say i'm saying i'm marking that down you're so close to us that people it's just like um when cousin sal goes on bill simmons thank you for putting in terms i can understand who cares about cousin sal he's going to talk about the the spread on the 49ers versus the steelers or whatever just some fat guy but they're like they're old bros i want to see him politicking i want to see him you know hold on are you telling me are you telling me

2:16David Cho:there's a guy named sal that's fat yeah he's cousins with jimmy kimmel he started with a bigger adjacency he's cousin sal because he's jimmy's cousin i i have no idea what you guys are talking

2:25Jason Stewart:about but they would they would record a podcast just how we're doing except it'd be like during a football game yeah and it'd be brought to you by studio city and it's distributed by amazon that's a major difference i think there's some other differences financials and things like that It is kind of crazy to be in Jason's home recording a podcast like it's 2015. You know what I mean? 2016. Was it? No, we did 15 and 16. I'm playing on the theme of the 2016 flashback.

2:54David Cho:Well, the problem is that your squirt bottle is just filled with Magna and not Casamigos. I mean, it's good that doesn't exist anymore.

3:03Jason Stewart:We're not drinking Pete Sierroch and La Croix?

3:05David Cho:I don't think I've ever seen you drunk.

3:07Jason Stewart:That's not true. What?

3:08David Cho:No, for real. Really? No, it's like we go out together.

3:12Jason Stewart:Well, you don't get slizzard as much as you used to. Yeah, because we're old. I mean, I say this all the time.

3:16David Cho:I've seen Jason visibly drunk maybe twice. He's a tall drink of water. There's a distinct memory of going home from Johnny Brenda's after a How Long Gone show in Philadelphia. We're had to pull him out. And we got in the car and I was like, this motherfucker is twisted.

3:32Jason Stewart:Well, I mean, if we're going to be real, those early How Long Gone live shows, Jason would have a few before to really loosen up. Before, during, and after.

3:41David Cho:There was times where he was like, I don't want to drink. I'm like, you have to drink. We both cannot drink. But I say I prefer this. I prefer Jason hungover. That's when you get him at the best. That's interesting. And he's hungover. The governor's off. Yesterday we recorded one of our video recaps, and he came in, and I was like, the fact that we're going to make it through this is going to be a miracle. He was hungover from the party on Sunday.

4:06Jason Stewart:Yeah, on Sunday night. Thank you to our friends at YSL, Yves Saint Laurent, Anthony, Tony Vak. He's a sweetheart. W Magazine, Sarah Moonves, dear friend, as well as... We do love Sarah. Tony Vak. And then the Grammy's own Charlie XCX, hand-selected them jeans to DJ the party. I opened, yes. I don't have to laugh that loud right into the mic.

4:37David Cho:The thing about you opening, to be honest, is I guess I only didn't know the real techno chick. VTSS. VTSS, which you went on to tell me, which is that she's sort of like the biggest DJ that played, technically. Really? Yeah, like she's huge.

4:53Jason Stewart:Yeah, it was me, VTSS, George from 1975, who is obviously, you know, they headlined Glastonbury. It doesn't get bigger than that. But as a solo DJ, she would be bigger. and then fuckers who is a great big act and they you know they open for tame impala and they're big but like she she'll play you know like a festival in dusseldorf to 60 000 people and she's wearing a bikini and shit but it's fun for jason to open because then he can just you

5:21David Cho:know hang out after which is nice to say something real quick jason's opening set i have to say

5:25Jason Stewart:i mean no offense to all the other djs i it was i easily blazed everyone oh wow i will say that

5:32David Cho:I was in the other room You were in the other room a lot Weirdly I heard the killers come on

5:38Jason Stewart:Friend of the show DJ Ross 1 sent me a message today Saying could have used you later in the night But it's also like Guy in his 40s Guy in his 40s Talking about these kids playing the fucking Oots Oots music

5:54David Cho:But Jason played the killers and I came over from the other room But I will say George played Blur which I think might have been the biggest song of the night.

6:03Jason Stewart:And Ross won. His comment was Blur song to... He's like, I've only seen that song work at like a football game. So I was like... I mean, we used to play it all the time.

6:15David Cho:Yeah, I feel like that's like a one that always works. But he also played my favorite... He played the Fred again Skepta song which I also love, which is a smash.

6:23Jason Stewart:I can't play no Fred again. I agree, but that song is unbelievable. Do you know that they made like five versions to that song and they just kept updating the same song so you can't listen to two three or four anymore you can only different features unless you kept adding unless you downloaded the file yeah but kanye does that a lot too well it's just annoying because it's like i liked four the most and i can't ask who was on it i don't know they added someone in five but it's more so like adjustments to the mix and things like that like he'll listen to it like fred again no no they added features every single time though but sometimes they sometimes it's just like oh the hi-hat frequency oh yeah it was bugging me so we re-uploaded it in the middle of the night life of pablo style exactly that is annoying like i don't like that i don't know it's yeah it's also you save a song it's on a playlist and it comes on and it's like fucking three other british rappers i've never heard it's done it should i think you should be you should be allowed to update a song on the streaming services but there should be a penalty of some some sort penalty i think it's like a brick you get five you get a few chances you gotta buy a new one you get five and then

7:25David Cho:poof there go your streams we banned that song from our service like you can update it but

7:30Jason Stewart:instead of us giving you one cent for every million plays we're gonna one cent for every two million whatever something like that you know point five are you guys both drinking right now no no no do you brick i do brick but we were talking earlier the the brick the first week of brick ownership you're really on top of it and then brick ownership does i four months in and

7:53David Cho:it's easy to how does it work so you just can't use your phone you tap it and then you can you

7:58Jason Stewart:can choose whatever apps you want to disable with the brick what did you block instagram and twitter that's it yeah and then you just have the here's the brick and the real thing we need to stop though is texting like literally us no my least productive times are when i'm oh no not me what really are you fucking kidding me like me and chris arguing about fucking politics that from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. is not productive for me that's the perfect time to argue that's cool though yeah because jason's asleep so we're just really good mods mods are asleep mods yeah mom slash mods are asleep chris you shouldn't i don't like you understanding that

8:38David Cho:reference mods i i know what mods are i remember when chris had a mods are asleep is like a 4chan

8:44Jason Stewart:term do you remember when chris had to quit reddit remember that i was talking about jam i was talking

8:48David Cho:about like the jam and stuff you're talking about what are you talking about mods is short for

8:52Jason Stewart:moderator i'm joking i mean it's believable i'm talking about brit pop no bro chris quit reddit

8:59David Cho:like opioids back in the day i've blocked i blocked i blocked that for sure yeah you have to but i don't that's crazy i block twitter instagram and tumblr tumblr yeah damn you are you still

9:13Jason Stewart:updating every day you update tumblr every day maybe not every day how the fuck do you have this time it's like it doesn't take any time bro you're on linkedin too aren't i i found out recently that you're very active on linkedin i wouldn't say very but i'm active i go on linkedin i've said this before linkedin's amazing we need to get a new a word like pause but for like dumb stuff like that you mean chris's entire life for like for me to like do like uh that but in terms of you use

9:43David Cho:linkedin too much like there needs to be a word to shame you for doing guys i don't think you understand it's it's like a like any social media network it's it's there's a language that exists that fascinates me that's really what it is it's like a different kind of person exists there that i don't think i come in touch with in my life in my real life literally well you don't

10:03Jason Stewart:need to though but i want the root of the issue is why are you fascinated by what pleasure are you getting out he's trying to learn how to be a better marketer it's digital people watching it's like it's like using copyright that it's like this is online too much it's like looking at facebook but you're not hate watching no no i'm just taking it in i'm just for for anthropological purposes i want to digest it don't make this fucking academic i'm not i'm really though i really just like this is your undergrad you won't have to worry about chris making it academic no shade honey he was making fun of me for having no followers so i gagged your little hunky ass i will say to take it back to me having no followers though your reddit your words not mine your choice your reddit someone sent me a post from your reddit which is sub which subsequently made me go to your reddit and now it pops up on my recommended things but they confused me with chang which i thought was racist very funny well i thought i thought like chris chang or david chang chris chris i thought our listeners were more woke than that

11:03David Cho:but i guess they're not why would you think that have you heard yourself talk it's not about me

11:08Jason Stewart:Look, we've had more than one Chinese guy on our pod, okay? Have we? I don't know if that's true. I don't know if we have. I would love to have one. Not whole. Maybe half. To be clear, I was using Chinese as a blanket statement for all Asians.

11:21David Cho:You know he's Korean, right? Okay, I just want to make sure you know.

11:23Jason Stewart:Come on, that's the joke, guys.

11:24David Cho:Yeah, I got it.

11:25Jason Stewart:I know a lot about the Korean people.

11:27David Cho:You know more varietals of Asian than I do.

11:29Jason Stewart:If you can believe it, Jason's very familiar with the Asian community. I prefer North Korea to South. He went to the school of Los Globos. That's a Latin establishment. There's hostess bars that your ass is going to in Cape Town that I know about too. You want to play this game? No, man. I'm a good boy. I see your ass buying homegirl a fruit basket at Orchid.

17:02David Cho:in classic form were the vip oh really and those were sections that you could not buy it was you

17:08Jason Stewart:had to be gifted them so i'm djing 10 minutes in um front of the show eileen who has been on she was a pod guest a few years ago not a fan favorite but she showed up um hand in hand with her new beau anthony kiedis of the red hot chili peppers and she's like hey jason we're so nice to meet you finally in person how you know but and this is anthony and i was like hello anthony kiedis and we both shook each other his hands and we looked at he we gave each other a look of like we're both old we're all done here with talking to each other just like he's like i ain't trying to make small

17:44David Cho:talk with the dj right now and i don't how did he look and i don't want to make small talk with a

17:49Jason Stewart:60 year old guy who dates teenagers he looks good does he yeah he looks great he looks great he looks great when was he there i must have missed though he was there all night he was early but he was there for a long time so then they're politicking it's all good and then the other booth here come leo decap and they set up his table beforehand with the the bottle of of azul and then a fat tin of Alcetria caviar. Wow. Al loves to party. I don't know if you guys know that or not. I'm not calling him Al. Is there a way that you could shorten his name more? Yeah. Over the real heads.

18:27David Cho:I saw him. Did anyone from his party eat any of that caviar to your knowledge?

18:33Jason Stewart:I would say they made a 30 % dent in the caviar.

18:36David Cho:Did you eat any of the caviar?

18:38Jason Stewart:I grabbed a spoonful, sure. I waited for him to

18:41David Cho:shove off though wait so when was he there like pretty early yeah probably like around 11 to 12 something like that well the problem is at this party is that we got there you know we went to dinner and then got there like nine so jason could play had to be there so we were behind that it was us and role model and i got i couldn't approach i wanted to approach introduce myself say i'm a big fan you love that guy i love tucker but i'm worried with guys like that and guys like me sometimes they think i'm making fun of them when i'm being honest i thought you were gonna

19:17Jason Stewart:say sometimes they think i have a crush on them no i don't have a crush on them no that happened to me with your faves cat's eye because i was in the bathroom coming out and then here come one of the cat's eyes and we know each other because i i interviewed them for interview and she's like oh hey you're and it's like yeah yeah we we caught up and i was like by the way i love the zucchini song and she was like she thought i was like teasing her and i was like no like i really i do fuck with that and she's like no it's like very funny like well cat's eye who i'd never heard because they're kind of getting killed for that song well it was the worst thing i've ever seen

19:51David Cho:it was rough bro that was terrible i love the performance was rough gnarly is a good song i love gnarly gnarly is it the fact that gnarly was played at the grammy awards is a scary reality to me.

20:04Jason Stewart:Look, Cat's Eye is going to come do your little K-pop shit, eat your lunch, eat your whole bulgogi bowl.

20:14Jason Stewart:Damn, they really will eat my whole bulgogi bowl, as you put it. I don't understand, though. Aren't there some white chicks in that shit? Yeah, it was made from a reality show, and it's like there's a brown girl, I think. Are any of them bad, or are they all bad?

20:34Jason Stewart:Big nod.

20:35David Cho:They have lots of flavors of all over the world.

20:38Jason Stewart:It's smart because there's like a lot. There's like six. It's similar. Have you ever heard of the Spice Girls? A global girl group? This is Katzai. Spice Girls was four. That's right. No, it was five, bro. No, it was four. It's five. It's definitively five. This is a gay test. You failed. Got your ass. Got your ass in 5K. Bro, I failed that gay test when I came on this podcast. We got posh spice. Oh, good try. Good try. Posh spice, baby spice, sporty spice. Scary. Scary spice. The black one. What's the fifth one? Wait, which one did you say? That's the four. I thought it was four. No, no. It's posh.

21:13Jason Stewart:Posh. Posh. Baby. Ginger. Oh, ginger. The most famous for a long time.

21:19David Cho:Look, Cho letting us know what his flavor is by ginger.

21:22Jason Stewart:Okay. Who is your Spice Girl Moon and who is your rising? I have nothing to say to this. you're lost do you have a preference i have no preference victoria beckham bro that's god that's the goat i'm that homewrecker of her own home are you kidding me victoria beckham is one of the

21:39David Cho:all-time greats i'm i'm really happy that her beauty brand is doing well i think that the the the fashion stuff is obviously lost money the entire time but she has the money to lose she's

21:49Jason Stewart:a great business yeah but i think i think the the brand has sort of it's taken its licks and it's still sticking around in the ring it's respectable it is do you have a preference i'm posh with baby rising interesting because there's not an asian one so yeah that's why i couldn't write honestly this is this is not oxford study zone jesus isn't that not real i don't i i've told the story in this podcast where i was walking the dog carolyn and i were walking the dog you know eight in the morning on a tuesday and we live close to a school so it's like a drop-off zone kind of asian dad in a minivan with his like two kids in the back seat eight in the morning rolls right by us rolls the windows down and screams oxford study at both of us and i had to google what

22:37David Cho:yeah i didn't know this meant until he told us that's wild and that was a while ago now that was like that's like what people comment on the internet it's crazy to do that in real life sometimes cho the internet jumps off the screen and into the iro but if you're like if you're like

22:49Jason Stewart:an asian dad who's like kind of you know you're driving kind of what you're driving a minivan you've got kids you hate your life how do you look right on a scale one to ten he was nor he was he was a six he wasn't i mean he was he was a normal-ish looking guy glendale six i got my wife is hot and i'm a white tall guy and he sees that while he's like got fucking like cheerio stains on his in his car and he's late for work and his kid is yelling and not happy all this stuff and he sees me i'm on an edible i'm taking a picture of a butterfly and he's like he didn't like the dog he's probably that guy must love me evening the score you know that's

23:29David Cho:actually crazy you guys you guys i'm obviously switzerland here oh you keep it white just like extra white no i meant that i'm neutral okay so then if you want to flip it when you are in your

23:41Jason Stewart:asian communities do people dap you up for you know there have been the there have been asian guys who are kind of like no no i swear how do you say respect in korean there was i actually you don't know there was a universe there was a guy you don't tell me i'll just have chat gpt said into the mic there was a guy a long time ago this was years ago that i was lee i was walking the street in new york and he's like an asian kid and he ran up to me i'm not even joking he ran up to me i was like bro i i just want to let you know like i'm a big fan of like your work of just like work should i have done and then he was like you know so and so is so bad congratulations and it was someone that through tagged photos of me he had realized like he'd realized we'd like hooked up or whatever and i was just like i don't know what to say to this well hold on hold on i just

24:34David Cho:want to be clear this person that tagged photo was of was a white woman okay just wanted to make sure was a pretty white woman hell yeah brother yeah it bears repeating she had dark hair wouldn't resonate with you you're like i i that is strange that it was weird as hell because like

24:52Jason Stewart:to your point i have no followers and so for that to happen to me right right right there are some asian guys who are just kind of like i'm a fan of you so so but but i guess what i so damn i thought You're the Asian Ben Edgar. For the heads. That does go to the thing. That goes to the thing that I was thinking about in the car. Your special projects are white women.

25:17David Cho:Actually, this is milled aluminum. It's not a white woman. This is actually... No, no, no. This is something different. I used CAD to design this. All right. So on Sunday, did you build with anyone?

25:32Jason Stewart:Oh, yeah. How did you get invited to the party?

25:35David Cho:i don't know i assume through chris how did you so who did you did you build with anyone or link

25:40Jason Stewart:with anyone that you know there was i mean sarah obviously who we love i was hoping for something

25:44David Cho:a little spicier lauren sherman okay friend of the show okay there was one moment in the in the

25:50Jason Stewart:alleyway or in the little doorway where i thought i was gonna die like we're so busy it was i was getting crushed it was giving claustro yeah it was giving claustro i agree but it was really good it was fun i didn't build with anyone well it was a good party charlie was very nice she were you

26:04David Cho:i i um i did get to approach someone that i'm a fan of who audrey hobart was there i never met her before and i went up to her and i was like so nice we talked before i was like so nice to meet you she's like i listen to the pod every day like oh no she's like i don't give a fuck if jason's a hater i'm ready to come on and we can we can do this and i was like excellent that's that's great news i like jason are you a hater yeah yeah but i mean i'm a hater of 90 of the people that come

26:32Jason Stewart:this podcast so that's kind of our whole thing it's okay if i hate everyone until you meet them well i think because once you meet people you're like oh that guy's personality wise she will win

26:40David Cho:him over and that's all that actually matters you know what i mean like i don't really care about like i might like your output but it's more important for me to like you yeah i think i think

26:48Jason Stewart:hope and i can oh we can we can both separate the art from the artist he can throw the rock up no problem she could like me and not like my output and i could like her as a person and not fuck

26:58David Cho:with the music you have to do that but we should talk about i mean this smart list thing is amazing what's going on watching smart lists our our ops the guys who do what we do but get paid 200 million dollars seeing them finally take a couple lumps besides losing the golden globe to your ex-wife is is i have to say gratifying especially when it's did you listen to it yeah i listened to the clip i didn't think it was as bad as it read i thought it read worse than it sounded definitely but I also just think like I don't I am obviously a person who doesn't think you need to be so

27:32Jason Stewart:familiar with someone's work before they come okay well for our listeners at home who don't know what happened Charlie XCX went on smart lists and the premise of the show is the guest is a mystery and they don't know who it is beforehand people don't that's why oh really so I didn't know that they don't know for every episode one person knows who it is and they they like present it to the other two people who are in the dark. And I think it's like they've designed it that way so they don't have to do any work. They just show up in their boxers on Zoom and knock it out and they go, what's your story?

28:07Jason Stewart:How'd you start acting? That's awesome. Gay joke, gay joke. Pay some bills, it's done. But Jason Bateman did not know who Charlie XCX was. At all. Didn't know about Brat. Doesn't know about anything. So he's asking her, you know, like about her life. But where it gets bad is he's asking, he's trying to convince her to have children and everyone, the internet's like, you, you don't ask a woman these personal questions because the answer could be something that's uncomfortable to talk about. And he's saying like, well, maybe you just haven't met the right guy. And she's like, well, I'm actually married.

28:42Jason Stewart:And he's just, he's, he's doing the jelly roll defense, which is like, I'm just, don't me. I don't know.

28:49David Cho:Part of it is that he goes, well, I don't mean to boast, but you know, my wife didn't want to have kids until she met me.

28:55Jason Stewart:and then i was looking on the tweet and people are saying like he has a history of talking like that to female guests specifically of like for some reason trying to brag and both wait what you mean to tell me this 50 some odd year old white actor is condescending to women i i find

29:13David Cho:that multi multi-millionaire i i i don't believe i feel like claiming to not know who she is

29:22Jason Stewart:feels kind of insane he's so old though he didn't claim to not know he's got kids and shit though he was you know he was he never admitted to not knowing who he was okay okay but i could tell just he actually did but he also might not know that she's married or whatever that part is fine yeah i think that part is fine but but acting like i just don't know you can tell on the show when the when the guests know who they are or not because they can't are you listening to every smartless no no no not everyone but like you can like when it's like ladies and gentlemen tom hanks and they're like oh what's up and then he's like charlie xcx and then it's just like cricket the gay homies like ah and then will will arnett's like oh hey and jason's like you could just hear in his voice like who the fuck is will arnett's like married oh all right never mind then how long is an episode of smartless nice uh it's like you know it's pretty good impression it's as long as ours is about an hour interesting but like i would say 17 of those minutes are commercials for like cricket wireless and shit it's amazing because they don't need the the best part is that

30:28David Cho:they're putting commercials on top of no i guess they have to pay it back yeah the people who bought

30:33Jason Stewart:who are licensing their show need the commercial no but i didn't know that they i said we're gonna

30:38David Cho:make this 180 back i thought they i for some reason i thought they also had a paywall but i guess i'm not familiar with it enough yeah same wait so what is it though amazon i don't know maybe serious they had two they got one deal and then that expired they got another one for well they also had the hbo show at some point too but it was one it was a special it was like a one oh really yeah wasn't it just a one wasn't like a it was like a black and white documentary about their life i think woody allen directed actually it's pretty that's that's not true is it woody yeah woody worked on it no jesus woody did not work on it he didn't work i'm just thinking of

31:10Jason Stewart:you know great black and white work yeah that reminds me of the the suny emails on the epstein

31:15David Cho:files what did you google yourself to make sure you're not did you search the files to make sure you weren't in there no i didn't because i was worried about it but because i'm saying with a typo what about david choo i was gonna say if we add the e on the end he might be in there i i will

31:27Jason Stewart:say my friend neil shaw's birthday it is today he was in it because he had written an article about it and his byline was on the article and so it was a really fun that's the perfect way to be in

31:38David Cho:that yeah because being in it is a badge of honor if you're not guilty of any crimes so there's an interesting take for sure i mean but you know it's like funny if you like if you're neil you're like

31:48Jason Stewart:oh this is so you're sort of you're aspirationally in the upscene files i didn't say that i did not say that it just you know it's a sign that you have done something in your life i gotta say i we talked about this a little bit i am shocked truly truly shocked at how bad it is and how

32:03David Cho:it's only a joke yeah like literally no one talks about it seriously at all well there's also so

32:09Jason Stewart:much misinformation like there's so many like edits and things like that out there too that just kind of make it unclear you keep saying this false every time we bring up clips and hove well the clips in jay one is very clear where it's like it's the tip line that they submitted into but it's not like an investigation i don't tip line remix you think you think you think pre reasonable you think pre-reasonable doubt well i hang out with you know fucking harvey weinstein

32:31David Cho:or whatever he claims hove claims to be a cocaine and crack cocaine dealer and i'm sure that some of these underage women that were being procured were using drugs that could have been produced by sean excuse me not sean comes i apologize i mean it's hard it's hard to disagree with that

32:46Jason Stewart:that intrepid no i'm joking i've literally seen people i've literally seen that logic on twitter

32:51David Cho:i'm like you guys are out of control yeah i saw the the good one broke 23 year old jay-z i don't

32:56Jason Stewart:think was hanging out with heart with uh no there was every post yeah on that same the uh brian johnson the the i'm gonna live forever guy he was he's in there as well because he like took some meetings with him and then somebody tweeted to be fair he was biologically 13 when he was talking to him I thought that was good

33:18David Cho:it's shocking to me that no matter what happens it's a joke like it's actually crazy

33:23Jason Stewart:because it's either this is a joke or you know what else are you going to do well they also do flood the zone with complete like horrible it's like they also killed someone they like straight up shot someone we talked about this we talked

33:38David Cho:yeah i mean i don't know we we talked about it a little bit i i just can't it's it's shocking to

33:43Jason Stewart:me that it's so funny only only half of the docs are out there's gonna be so much sick shit well i think there's just a there's also like when the expectation is that you're a complete piece of shit i think the the depths of depravity don't shock anymore right like no one's surprised by

33:57David Cho:any of it i yeah surprise is the wrong word but this is what i said on on sunday is that like when

34:04Jason Stewart:nick fuente screams the n-word and then everything is fine it's like whatever like if andrew tate is at the club singing heil hitler where we're like yeah well like no shit as we often say fork found

34:15David Cho:in kitchen i don't say that you guys say that i uh i don't know where they keep the forks actually but the the the craziest part to me and what i think is really the most damaging is that it makes child pedophilia no no obviously but i no i agree that was bad i just mean that the fact that now everybody thinks this is proof that every single thing is conspiracy and that it's all true is what i think could be a very bad long-term effect okay dick cheney i honestly no no there

34:44Jason Stewart:is like a it confirms some parts of the worst q anon bullshit that now is like it gives that new

34:51David Cho:life yeah that's what that's what i think is going to be weirdly the longest lasting but you

34:55Jason Stewart:know i i've long held that i think society is fucked like we we have failed aren't you a fun guy i mean it's just it's kind of a bummer you know it's like every we we gave everyone a vote to pick on like what's the best thing and then we all chose mr beast you know what i mean it's like we were like oh we can vote with our time other than the dumbest shit other than the severe racism life was better when the government hid everything from us and everything is going to be okay in the 60s you know like that kind of shit i mean it's i'm a big like i kind of think it's I do miss the part of gatekeeping where it allowed people with good taste to sort of inform what existed.

35:32David Cho:I agree.

35:33Jason Stewart:The bad part is obviously what you're saying.

35:34David Cho:I agree. Systemic white supremacy. Now I got to hear five racist guys say mogged every 30 seconds in a five-minute video. I can't live like this. And they're popular. It's fucked up. They're the most popular. Yeah, it's fucking crazy. Speaking of popular, I know you're a big Kanye West fan. So what do you think of his? Because I know you were in the club. you know you were at avenue popping bottles when yay songs were coming through the the speakers and are you able to separate the my beautiful dark twisted fantasy from the artist yeah i mean i think he fucking sucks like i think but you'll you'll put on a little graduation on the fucking airpods

36:10Jason Stewart:let's be real well i think it's more just like she messing with the bro bro you know you're you're fucking icarus right now in an unedited episode you told us before we recorded this you weren't going to edit anything that was funny that's no problem bro this is nothing he did the clean version what do you want him to do this is lowercase i on the icarus this is light work i'm not even flying close to the moon oh yeah yeah the sun's way far away from us right now no i mean i think it's it's it sucks right it's like it sucks when the people that you liked a lot when you're younger who also weren't horrible then like take a turn you know it's like

36:44David Cho:he wasn't that guy back then did you see the video of him whereas r kelly was peeing the whole time

36:49Jason Stewart:that's true i think kanye was bad not like that though not like on a fucking like where's a swastika well of course he wasn't that well that's what i'm saying like what do you think

36:59David Cho:was bad about him well i mean he wore a lot of givanchi um because you're anti-rottweiler

37:06Jason Stewart:because i feel like he's not like a diddy he doesn't seem like he wants to like beat a woman or like physically assault i think he's more of like a cuck like he wants to piss somebody off and have a woman like yell at him like he thought he wanted to be funny so he was like remember like he made like a cranky anchor style show with puppets because he was like he wanted to be a comedian that was what was offensive that is that is offensive like think you're dave chappelle i'm kind of into puppetry tell us more no no no tell us more i want to hear more about jason's interest in puppetry i'm not actually interested in puppetry but uh when we had sarah sherman on the pod and she we were like coming up with ideas for skits I randomly thought of one and I was going to send it to her.

37:49Jason Stewart:I was like, what if all the Muppets were hot? Actually, not bad. How much do you guys talk about Chris's really good Kermit impression on the show? It comes up, I would say, twice a year. Have you done it before? I'd love an exclusive. I need something to get this episode good. He's done it on this podcast probably four times. Hi, I am Kermit the Frog. Honestly, it's the best thing you do. like you have a lot of outputs now obviously chris black kermit for the win ftw bro hannah clipped that one for the win um i well there was a video of of yay leaving

38:30David Cho:i believe the stadium in mexico and he signed autographs and he looks like he's been hit with

38:35Jason Stewart:a track look like mariah carey at the airport just like it was it was like it was scary like the handlers are like somebody's like you got to pay this money back type shit and we're gonna we're gonna wheel you out to perform like you he looked like i could go up to her and say like hey northy just died in a car accident and the smile on his face wouldn't change yeah that was it really

38:57David Cho:it was like scary it looked very sad it looked very sad but do i mean i guess there's only two ways it's going to go with him what are the two ways i think really bad or this well they're

39:07Jason Stewart:saying is basically mimicking the Elvis Presley career. He's in the stage now where they're pumping him full of drugs. He's fat again, and they're wheeling him out to make a bunch of money off of it. And then, you know, how much money does he owe Live Nation?

39:22David Cho:I don't think it's anything like that, to be honest. He owes money to somebody. Those are all advances. He's living. I mean, there's no way he's making that kind of money. I'm not clear on the math,

39:30Jason Stewart:but I do think it's just kind of also he's addicted to fame. He loves, he wants to be the most famous person at all times and also the crazy thing is like when he was at his worst most recently again we as a society failed and like his streams were higher than ever it's fucked up it's like it was higher than when he was good which is crazy that is crazy yeah like when he was doing those like fucking like uh the stadium listening party things it's like that was the most streamed album he'd had it's jason's a big carousel guy just for the lyrics but i don't know carousel what's that is that is that actually a song yeah ride that dick like a carousel you're

40:03David Cho:I think that's it.

40:06Jason Stewart:The only one I heard was the Carousel.

40:07David Cho:I heard the Backstreet Boys one. What was it? I think it was.

40:11Jason Stewart:Maybe it was.

40:12David Cho:Look it up. I just feel like I want to I feel like I know this is right because it's one of those songs you don't want to like and you're like, no, this is pretty good. Carnival.

40:23Jason Stewart:Carnival.

40:24David Cho:Similar. Well, you would find a carousel at Carnival.

40:27Jason Stewart:Head so good, she an honor roll. Ride the dick like a carnival.

40:32David Cho:yeah this just devolved into the rory and mall podcast real quick which oh

40:36Jason Stewart:i uh i was i went back and listened to the first time i'd done the show because i was like i don't want to say the same thing again and do you know how i closed that episode well i'd love to know i said uh bleasy season is upon us i remember that because i you obviously are the titular bleasy and honestly i don't think i've ever been more right about something i don't because like We are in the Chris Black renaissance now.

41:00David Cho:I would love to see some results from that, Ben.

41:02Jason Stewart:Every other day, is he going to be the new editor of GQ? Stuff like that. What do you think, Cho?

41:13Jason Stewart:Chris Dolla$ign. What? I was just calling you Chris Dolla$ign. That's how much you're popping right now. I would love to be.

41:20David Cho:As I said to you before, Cho, it's all fun in games, but the bank balance is not equal to the output.

41:28Jason Stewart:Chris and I have done some work together that has yielded some lift to your bank account, which we're excited about. I love lift to my bank account.

41:34David Cho:Yeah. Why don't you tell me about it, Chubb? You two guys helped me lift my bank account, and I love that about you both.

41:40Jason Stewart:Chris and two of our friends, obviously, have been working together on some projects, like on an advisory capacity, which has been fun. When you say obviously, what is obvious about that?

41:54Jason Stewart:you know a lot of people ask chris to help them with work and the same with our the other people

41:59David Cho:that work in shiv and spencer and uh i don't know if they do but ask you they asked me they asked me

42:06Jason Stewart:what pants they should buy yeah you tell them and you tell them hanover jeans i got a dm yesterday

42:11David Cho:they asked me where to have dinner in paris i got a dm yesterday from a guy i got an app for that buddy can i wear skate shoes if i don't skate anymore i'm like bro why the fuck you asking What the fuck? That's just a poem. That's not even a question. I don't know. I think I kind of like that question. I'm not mad at the question. I'm just like, you don't have a friend? There's got to be another place for you to ask that.

42:31Jason Stewart:It's because they want to talk to you. And this is an in. It's an open.

42:34David Cho:They want to be your friend. But I feel like there's a skate community that would be the authority. I feel like there's things I'm not the authority on.

42:40Jason Stewart:Look, they don't care about the answer. They just want to talk to you. Fair enough. They just want to see a little red pop up underneath the thing. Yeah, it's just a little. Give me those three dots. So what did you say? I didn't answer.

42:50David Cho:If you used to skate, you can wear skate shoes.

42:53Jason Stewart:It may depend on the shoe, though. Agreed.

42:55David Cho:I mean, I think that technically Vans could be...

42:57Jason Stewart:You can't be wearing the big O-Style. You can't pull up in the muskets. No, you can't pull up in the muskets. Unless you can do an inward varial heel flip.

43:03David Cho:If you pull up in some puffy joints, you look like you work at a gas station.

43:06Jason Stewart:You got to be able to do a switch, laser flip.

43:09David Cho:You got to immediately be able to do something.

43:10Jason Stewart:Got to change out of my Dior Travis Scott fucking skate shoes or whatever. You would wear those, though.

43:15David Cho:You showed up in the Nikes and looked like the Dior's. I mean... He showed up in the Nikes that are just as ugly as the Dior's, but they're cheaper.

43:23Jason Stewart:I like both. I support my friends at Dior. When you started dating a white girl, did she make you change up your wardrobe? Did she go through and do a little edit? A little closet edit? Jason's projecting a little too much with his stylist wife. No, I'm not projecting. He's trying to sympathize with you. My brother. I have thoughts. Jason had two sides of the same coin. Yeah, I would love. You might have gotten a little.

43:47David Cho:Not an edit. I don't know about those Costco dunks for my family dinner. You know what I mean? I feel like maybe not the pandas. Meet the parents with the LeBubu on? You had a LeBubu on the cannon tote when you met her parents.

44:03Jason Stewart:I don't know if those old white folks are like, my LeBubu. All right, David, the LeBubu can come, but can you take the Phoenix Suns jersey off of him?

44:12David Cho:Stop. Look, the Dior crossbody is fine, but just for the weekends. I don't and please not that let's lose the off-white tag which honestly I mean thank you for

44:24Jason Stewart:the setup where I was thinking of things I could say on this podcast that would be interesting I didn't come up with anything but but I was thinking about to the bleasy season of all was like Chris Black is the new white Virgil was something that I was kicking around that is the

44:37David Cho:the meanest quote-unquote creative director yeah that's the meanest thing you've ever said to me

44:41Jason Stewart:creative director slash now has his own off-white slash Hanover which yeah it's very similar okay Yeah, yeah, yeah. Paint us this picture. I mean, obviously, hair is similar. Yeah, yeah. Height is similar. Yeah. Loves preppy things. Also a nice guy. Mm-hmm. Builds with a lot of different people. Friends with Ben Edgar. I could do this for a while. I got to get my money. A long time ago, Chris was like, what if we made those CDJs clear? And that's weird that he did that after.

45:09David Cho:I've been putting weird plastic tags on my shoes since I was in middle school.

45:13Jason Stewart:Those tags were so sick when they first dropped.

45:16David Cho:do you remember when i made a pair of i bought i made a pair of i think it was yayo's birthday and i bought a pair of white crocs and i found a similar tag and attached it to the croc i remember this it was a funny gift this was the height of that this was like the absolute peak of that

45:33Jason Stewart:moment but similar to let's pay some bills i'm spending hella cash jason it just comes in it

45:41David Cho:goes out i got to start paying more attention there's pressure on me from everyone in my life to get it together. And thank God for Rocket Money. It helps me manage my finances. It gets rid of all these pesky subscriptions that I'm not using. And I just need help. And I think Rocket Money is the best service to keep my pockets fat.

45:59Jason Stewart:Keep them fat with just a few clicks, Chris. We can cancel those unwanted subscriptions, whatever they may be. It's not just for the ones you're thinking of. They go deep with lots of things that we cannot really say for legal reasons. Whatever it is that these companies are doing, we need a friend on the other side, not necessarily because we don't know how to do it, but also because we're all busy. We don't have time for it. It's not zero dollars that we are losing every month, but it's enough to add up at the end of the year. And thankfully, our friends at Rocket Money make all of the time wasting go bye-bye.

48:33Jason Stewart:so um you were talking earlier show oh actually really quick and then we'll we'll talk about we said you have an app for that two quick things yeah of course chris said he doesn't

48:44David Cho:he's never had movie theater popcorn is that true no no you would love it no listen everybody stop everybody it's just the two of us i've had it before but it gets your hands too gross and I have to get up to wash them. I can't have...

48:59Jason Stewart:No, I feel you on that. Maybe the Korean innovation where you have the little two-finger plastic gloves. Or just have a lot of napkins.

49:05David Cho:Not the same. I need water. That's what I do like about you. For a white person, you're so clean. I mean, in a pinch, I'll pour bottle of water on my pants. I present that. Do you? I'm only half.

49:16Jason Stewart:I'm a hopper.

49:16David Cho:The last time I've been to the movies, if I went to a movie, it'd be in the morning and I'm not going to eat popcorn at like 10 a.m.

49:22Jason Stewart:What do you mean if I've been to the movies it's the morning? Because he's off them oxys.

49:25David Cho:The only time I ever went to the movies with any consistency is Angelica on the weekends before noon off a bean. Did it matter what film you saw? I would make sure it was something I wanted to see, but I wasn't extremely discerning. But when people put the peanut M &Ms in the... I'm like, I'm sure that tastes good, but that's disgusting. You weren't watching The Mandalorian? No, no, no. Into the Spider-Verse? I would only see well-reviewed, indie-leaning cinema.

49:52Jason Stewart:As much as Chris says he hates movies, he'll be like, I saw this movie and I like it often.

49:57David Cho:I don't. I'm not kidding. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie. I guess Baby Girl because I went to the screen, like the premiere.

50:06Jason Stewart:Pause. I was there too. Okay. So there's that. I agree with you. I don't like the messiness. I get anxiety when my hands are dirty.

50:15David Cho:I saw a viral reel where a girl keeps getting. you can get movie theater popcorn like door dashed from like amc not only can you i have you have yeah fat boy shit you you also yeah of course you door dash starbucks too no no not starbucks that's the whitest thing about you door dash no i'll tell you what the weirdest thing is was uh

50:36Jason Stewart:i door dashed a wendy's cold brew frosty one morning because i was just kind of curious and And you know what? It hit. I'm sure it did. How could it not be?

50:46David Cho:So how does your body feel?

50:49Jason Stewart:I don't know. Bad? No, regular.

50:51David Cho:Bro, my constitution is on lock. You guys are... Honestly, you're different. If I ate the way you guys fucking ate, I would feel terrible. I mean, I guess the extreme sometimes. I don't eat no Wendy Frosty. I know you don't, but I just mean you're open to anything is what I'm trying to say.

51:08Jason Stewart:I'm not afraid to put it in my mouth. I used to love a Frosty. It's great. I would have a frosty. One of my first core food memories was being a kid, going to the Wendy's in the mall, and a cool black guy was the cashier. He made the frosty in the machine, put the lid on, put the straw on, and then slid it across the bar, and I caught it.

51:33David Cho:That's nice.

51:34Jason Stewart:What? This doesn't sound real. And I was like, I've never felt cooler in my entire life. Well, it's also when we were little. I was like, are you my dad? we were all we were little and all of us grew up or you and i especially grew up poor and chris grew up kind of medium and uh like those what do you want to correct him do you want to correct me

51:52David Cho:no that's fair medium i don't know i've no proof i haven't seen any tax records but you can whatever

51:57Jason Stewart:you say but it's like that thing of like going out to eat even at fast food was like so special sure you know what i mean that's real no it was like one of the only moments of brightness in our otherwise hellish life or at least in our poor lives sure sure like it's like we didn't have stuff like that no i mean it would be a tentpole activity for your week 100 huge yeah i savor every

52:17David Cho:fry i do feel like that time period though because we're all the same at wendy's was much more popular than it is now is that because the competition is stiff i think it's just in your circle i think

52:26Jason Stewart:it's still i think it still hits only black people go to wendy's now i don't make the rules i i i just

52:31David Cho:i'm saying that because of all you guys look like oh god we're going to canes we're going to chick filet are going to in and out oh it's so bad let me take a picture wendy's has suffered yeah

52:41Jason Stewart:think about it wendy's needs a rebrand no wendy's had a wendy's had a mcdonald's arby's damn are we the three children who talk about snack foods on the podcast now no no no wendy's is low-key but they do talk like chris yo you know wendy's is my shooter or whatever the fuck yo yo dave arnold are you kidding yo you know what like low-key wendy's used to have a salad bar yeah a lot of people had salad bars oh pizza hut had killer salad well that's the i

53:11David Cho:think there's a few of those still remaining though pizza salad bars yeah i think there's like i think if you go to i bet like in eau claire you could find like i feel like there's towns in the midwest that exist we're like in a time capsule back in there you get like the taco salad

53:24Jason Stewart:from pizza hut and i wouldn't go that far she was tight as hell you know i went to john and

53:28David Cho:benny's last night that motherfucking hit boy oh my god it's so good drop the order queen i went with katie we had what's the hatchet yeah we had two salads the the spicy one and the room and then we had the the pasta limone and the la woman yeah that's a i thought it was for two people yeah

53:46Jason Stewart:your ass really does love pizza it is funny when you're like i had a crisp pizza two people that's not a lot that no one pizza between two people is normal that's not oh really yeah

53:59David Cho:they're not big they're regular one of the thing is you're getting three slices each

54:03Jason Stewart:right because there are days where you're like probably had sad for shit too but i don't like i'll get i'll get a i'll get a text from chris being like you know i had a chris day which usually means i got a whole pizza and ate it by myself let me tell you what a chris day it's been

54:16David Cho:a minute since he's done that chris day is or has it ride the city bike to the east village get a haircut get a pedicure get my nails hit mast that's a chris day or your toyota pizza and the pizza no pizza is not necessarily chris day chris night pizza can be on an off pizza can be anytime anytime okay big when you put pizza in a bagel you're gonna have pizza anytime pizza can get it anytime you want pizza anytime if pizza comes through with the toppings he can low-key get it fella hadid let's go man i feel bad for fella right now the d the mugshot guy that guy i've never seen somebody look he looks i mean mugshots are obviously what he looks like Rafael Nadal?

55:01David Cho:He looks like Nadal. He needs a head shave.

55:03Jason Stewart:No, but then Nadal shaved the head and he looked worse, which was tough.

55:07David Cho:Where did he shave? I haven't seen it. Bro, have you not pulled the picture of Rafael Nadal? You gotta get the Justin Bieber Turkish hair. You love Bieber. I love Bieber. Did you like Bieber and the Grammys? Yeah, I love that song. I love UConn. I don't even know the song, but I love it.

55:18Jason Stewart:UConn? UConn's great.

55:19David Cho:I mean, that record, everybody likes it a little too much, but I love that the internet doesn't realize Dijon wrote it. Yeah. And they're like, he's trying to sound like Dijon.

55:28Jason Stewart:I feel like you're quoting the pop cast album of the year i did not i don't know anything about that no no no no there's one that came out at the australian open where he looks like a 50 year old dude who's sad no but it's not

55:42David Cho:that's it he's not shaved that's old no no there's there's anyone i haven't seen shave i've seen thin

55:48Jason Stewart:there was one that came out at the australian open this weekend that was sad

55:52David Cho:i was bummed for him if you're if you're in that good of shape it doesn't matter that's the thing is that kind of what is that your self mantra no nothing can help me he's had hair he's had hair issues his whole life yeah never laid right but those guys also have to wear the headband and then it gives them a crazy forehead tan line which they don't have to wear the headband i think it's a choice actually they have to keep the the sweat out of their eye so they gotta do fellas do you

56:17Jason Stewart:still play tennis is that still a thing it's just too hard dude i want to feel like that was a core tenant of the brand early on it's true yeah we played every we played like three four times it was a kobe thing i just don't really have that much time anymore and also so much time it's really hard in new york and then i had a really good setup in in during covid where i had access to the glendale community college courts i had carte blanche play whenever i want and then i lost that after covid so you gotta log on and do reservation it's just too much work i don't think

56:49David Cho:people realize that if you're busy and you want to play tennis and you don't pay a hundred grand for like a club it's really annoying it's it's like the honestly one of the worst i think the sport would be more popular if it was easier but then the popularity works against it because no one can get court time so then you get frustrated do you know what i mean it's like it's sort of working against itself in a way i i wish i mean i i have friends in york that play all the time

57:13Jason Stewart:we need to get a private court i mean our next house it's either going to be pool or tennis court your next house i think it'll probably is that like hypothetical are you talking about like is

57:22David Cho:there are you guys looking for a house i think it's probably going to be a pool chief tennis court is tough it's cheaper than a pool you can put one in for not that bad they're not that

57:29Jason Stewart:expensive yeah if we if we get a fixer upper that has room it's cheaper to do a tennis court than a pool 30 grand which is the footprint is so big unless um but yeah it'll be a pool if it happens i would like i would really like for you to have a pool we're not actively in the market but you a couple years you're not i get links how many tabs does caroline have open right now do you think well when she bricks her phone the red fin don't get bricked you know what i mean and as you know as a bricker if you have your your facebook your netflix your blah blah blah all your tiktok all your stuff when you're bricked out and you're laying in bed your bricks in the other room anything will do next thing you know here come the little i'm reading the news now

58:08David Cho:and i'm checking the weather any port in the storm type beat i had a friend and hers is real

58:13Jason Stewart:estate type shit i had a friend who was addicted to his phone and then the way he would like so he'd brick the browser and the way he'd get to it was to look up the google headquarters and then go through google maps and then go to google.com because like the google headquarters website was google.com i mean you want to talk about addict behavior that is so cool that is so cool

58:35David Cho:i love that because i that is that's aspirational i like to use google maps to find and like

58:42Jason Stewart:categorize the restaurants in town that i like but is there a better way

58:50David Cho:come on child i feel like you probably have some ideas around you uh i do have some ideas around

58:55Jason Stewart:that i think i feel like we talked about last time and then you know now we're like rolling it out which is exciting we sent out the early email what are we rolling out how come i didn't get an early email because i didn't want to get made fun of by you i sent to jason oh i know i

59:08David Cho:got that email did i did i send you to friends and family oh yeah yeah the friends and family you fucked up no i mean why don't you bring it up jason and read it we've been we've been working hold please just search his name and your email will come up

59:25Jason Stewart:a bcc'd work favor it's true hello if you're seeing this it's because i trust you that's nice and think of this bcc'd email as a safe space to tell you about what i've been working on turns out i was wrong this is now going out to tens of thousands of people but you have you have an app called postcard and we're doing a proper soft launch right now i'm one of the experts that's already been on boarded it's true i've done some beta testing as well we also i mean there's like good stuff on there now it's like jason has a list that he sends people of like let's say it's an email right now he can copy and paste that in it'll just figure out what all

1:00:04David Cho:the places are put them on the map yeah that's sick yeah i honestly did not know that yeah and

1:00:08Jason Stewart:then we have a thing right now where it's like if you see something on instagram shared into the app it'll like identify what the place is put it on a map embed the instagram post or the tiktok or whatever that's good lauren sherman she because she said that she uses instagram as a way to categorize restaurants in other towns that she's gonna love it and she she has to go on and unfollow because she uses it like cities that she's never even been to like this restaurant looks cute i'll follow it in hopes that one day i ever go to no my shit is like my parents are in korea i'll like share about or i'll like put a bunch of stuff on a map and i land at incheon airport and they'll be like here are the 33 things you have saved like which are the ones you want to go to and all that

1:00:48David Cho:so that is not i've never thought about the import because the process can be laborious yeah and it's

1:00:53Jason Stewart:so it's like if jason has one that he's already sending to people or you for like copenhagen or the fuck it's like you can just paste it and it'll add it but no it'll be good we're excited no it's always been very like list averse yeah i think it's mostly because people ask me like at least once a day just because i'm an la food guy 100 so it happens all the time and i was always just like and it just made me want to close the laptop and just like forget it and now technology has caught up to where it's been easy enough to just like drop it in boom write one of my classic great witty one sentence lines and then it does everything else we have the thing with substack to a sub stack well pump the brakes that'll roll out wider where it's like you can like let's say you have trouble writing a sub stack let's say you started one in 2024 and you've been having trouble posting on it don't go down this road and your don't go down this road and your friends and your friends paid for it right like let's say your friends at this table paid for it we can make it so essentially what'd you pay for bro we paid for both of us paid for a sub stack

1:01:55David Cho:oh that's on you but real talk though it is that real talk but so i never once asked so let's say

1:02:03Jason Stewart:you have trouble writing a newsletter or whatever it's like you can now just put your list behind the sub stack paywall so you can just use that's great your sub stack subscription to pay all the content so now you listeners you don't even have to ask me you're part of the problem all you have and everything just hit that little tap to pay and you're chris is allergic to money that's that's that's my problem i'm allergic to your bullshit is what i'm allergic to that's the new lincoln bio chris black creative director at large allergic to the bs i'm allergic

1:02:35David Cho:to the bs one thing about me don't bring it around here boy i'll get hives dealing with your ass

1:02:41Jason Stewart:um okay well postcard.app.inc.inc.inc.inc.inc. all right check it out it's a good if you if you're a lister if you want to get lists or you want to make lists make your life easier and our good we also i mean this is my last thing that i do think is good is we tell you to pick three places and then based on those three places you pick if you land in a city we'll be like okay here are the things that are like those three places that's crazy which is actually very nice damn these engineers you got are working hard as hell yeah the waterloo's finest bro water shout out to all my water how many cloud bots you got set up on this shit do you know what a cloud bot is yeah do you know what a cloud bot is no it's actually kind of crazy it writes code right one of the things i did want to talk about in this podcast which i don't think we have any time for is jason's relationship with ai i was curious to where it's at right now i think he's

1:03:30David Cho:i think he's getting close to getting a hand job i don't know i don't i wanted i think he went up

1:03:34Jason Stewart:her shirt but i wanted to do a jason ai check-in personally because i was curious because we haven't talked about it i just i basically use it as google when i i think that's what need to know an answer for something no i think it's gotten very but i am not giving it my credit card information and my social security and saying book my appointments and calendars and do people do that all that stuff that's what the clod bot now molt bot or whatever it's called you know

1:04:00David Cho:craig on southern charm there was no this is crazy he told his friend with a straight face like i've been using chat gpt for therapy and he was dead serious and i was like i know people

1:04:12Jason Stewart:have done that that's psycho that's literally crazy it's i mean it's free well no i think it's good for people who have trouble like the idea of therapy is hard for them no the idea of like putting your thoughts into it and it's like dude i'm fine but look all good do you but let's we gotta like we gotta think a little bit logically here i mean it's not as good as a real therapist but I'm happy for anyone seeking like real personal betterment by being

1:04:35David Cho:telling all these kids that killed themselves because the chat told them to. I mean,

1:04:38Jason Stewart:that's a weird way to end the episode. But in a year, will AI be a better therapist? I mean, not a better therapist. They can't wear the glasses. You know, will there be a point where AI becomes a better therapist or good enough to where it's free? I think it's really impressive. The advancements of it. None of this stuff's free. I mean, it's basically you're paying for it, right? What is 10 bucks a month or something?

1:05:00David Cho:I think it's more than, I think it's like 20. Which is, I'm not saying it's a lot. I'm just saying,

1:05:05Jason Stewart:free and... It's as much as I pay for the fucking Hulu.

1:05:08David Cho:Free and$120 a year is different. That's all I'm saying. That's all I mean. I'm not saying, I know it's a negligible amount of money, but you know what I mean.

1:05:15Jason Stewart:But also, if Google Maps one day... Say what? Started costing... You know, like, if Waze was now$5 a month, I would still use it. Totally, totally, totally.

1:05:26David Cho:But I think that still is a... I think there's a... The paywall of it all is a barrier of entry for a certain kind of person.

1:05:34Jason Stewart:But I think you get to... There's a free version. Yeah, there's a free version.

1:05:36David Cho:Yeah, but the free version probably doesn't do shit. No, no.

1:05:39Jason Stewart:So they just have ads on it.

1:05:40David Cho:It's the same when there's ads

1:05:41Jason Stewart:and then I think they throttle how much you can use it like per day or per week or something. So when you're...

1:05:45David Cho:Yeah, that's going to fuck up the jerking off. You don't use it at all? You ran out of inquiries. I use it sometimes like Google, like Jason's saying. I just... I don't... It's just not the default. Like I don't... You know what I mean? Right, right, right.

1:05:55Jason Stewart:Like I used it when I was coming here being like, okay we're renting a car here's the credit cards i have what is what are the insurance things i

1:06:02David Cho:should actually get like what's actually helpful i mean it's good that's the most narc ass use of why bro who cares bro because it's like they're always upselling you don't know if i go in there and say get me out of here as fast as possible let's go it is funny like chris and i have the

1:06:17Jason Stewart:same thing where it's like we i mean chris even though he grew up medium has poor mentality and like do you remember that time we went to the grill and it was like a big group of us and like was this when you dropped your phone from the second story we were that no no this was when we went to go get a drink at the grill after chris's birthday at mr chow yeah yeah yeah and we got a drink there and then it was like seven s and we all got one drink and the waiter was like oh like who like how are we gonna pay for this and people started like we're gonna split it and chris and i were so nervous about someone thinking we were poor like no no we'll just pay one of us will pay for it because we because we just couldn't deal with the idea of someone thinking that i think well there there is that but i think it's it's half being afraid that somebody will think you're poor and half just like common courtesy of like i'm embarrassed to split it i mean it's so inconvenient to the to the it's just bad it's like bad form as a somebody who prides themselves on a good restaurant or bar i was like no one else offered though of course not no no i mean chris i've i went well the two biggest ballers at the table you should where it was richest person always paying the cartel era i went

1:07:27David Cho:through a phase where i was i paid all the time for whether it was dinner or an eight ball personal funds are from the tour personal like i was just like i got bread and none of you guys do so you are a very generous person but i just know there's a certain point i agree though there's a certain point where if i mean it's different if you're with someone who's like actually rich i think they also know like a true you know you've been in more of the situations than i have but i just mean like that can get crazy if it's somebody who you're like bro i know you have 50 million

1:07:55Jason Stewart:dollars why are we splitting dinner i think sometimes it's a nice gesture though so it's like not transactional because so many people take from i would happily i'll pay for anybody i don't give a fuck and showing afraid to ask for the venmo no he ain't afraid at all i will say both of you still owe me for oasis but that'll come i didn't get a charge really charge what do you mean really i forgot we paid for that you didn't hit me with the charge i didn't my accountant was like are you paying for these guys to go to oasis yeah you're like yes actually

1:08:21David Cho:that's a nice thing to do for my friends i thought ship paid for it to be honest oh no no i paid for

1:08:25Jason Stewart:your accountant said are you paying for all these guys and show said maybe

1:08:32David Cho:this isn't a top 10 episode but that was very good oh thank you all right howlonggone.com is the website thank you david show for joining us here in glendale postcard.inc is the website

1:08:41Jason Stewart:but still in beta.

1:08:42David Cho:Thank you, King. Who's to say these days? Who do we have? We got another guest. Them jeans at Instagram. Come follow me. Let me see who's on Thursday. Oh, wow. Real insane one on Thursday. Hopefully we don't have any mistakes. It's for the old heads. It's for the old heads. All right. Thank you guys for listening. We really appreciate it. And we will talk to you on Friday. Thank you. Wagwan.

1:09:22Jason Stewart:But what I wanted to tell you, my daughter is a very good study. It's a semester, a laptop, a software, a computer, a internet. So a master is really cheap. Say, she can get it back. You mean from the Steuer to set it up? But she doesn't pay. No, it's a failure. It's a very simple deal with Visa. And if she works then, it's Kachin! That's it? Save! Wieso Steuer? Hol dir dein Geld zurück. Now to test it out!
